to that sexist from yesterday or whenever it was: a pregnant mother in texas could be forced to give birth to a baby who will not fully develop a head. this is happening because of people like you.
you don’t care about fetuses. that fetus is basically already dead. you do just hate afab people, most of whom are women.

‘i only support abortion in extreme circumstances’ ok but how the fuck is forcing a human being, any human being in any situation, to grow another human being in their body against their will not an extreme circumstance

Vivzie, you cannot write Alastor, a mixed black person who was alive during segregation, as an explicit, evil slaver and expect that to be anything near good representation for poc.
Alastor petting his head and remarking on how "fluffy" it is and saying that Husk is his pet, plus Husk being voiced by an actual black person while Alastor isn't is just further implying this.

"If your mother chose abortion you wouldn’t be here. Think about that."
If my mother chose abortion I wouldn't have been here to be abused by her for decades. Think about that, cunt.

The idea that Black people are predisposed to hating queer people is Anti-Black rascism. The people most hurt by these assertions are not only Black people but queer Black people as well. You are not saving queer people by throwing Black people under the bus, and you'll never save queers by doing that, so just stop.

I don't even know how to react.... how does one come up with this, how can one be so dense.
Alicent was forced onto the king by her father, the king then room her hand, none of these times did she have a choice, she was simply a girl with no agency, controlled and used by the men around her, and then she was raped by a man 3 times her age whenever her pleased, ignored, and forced to bear heirs he wouldn't love while still a child herself.
she was raped by Rhaenyra's dad and then was jealous cause Rhaenyra walked all over and scoffed at every attempt her father made to give her a choice, a say in who she married. she was angry because Rhaenyra used and lied to her, hurting her in her greatest time of need, before abandoning her. she was angry because Rhaenyra had so much more freedom.
so yeah, she had every fucking right to be jealous. jealous she had someone looking out for her, protecting her. jealous she had the freedom to pick a husband. jealous that she wasn't being raped by a gross old man that didn't give a singular fuck about her.
she wasn't jealous cause she "didn't like it", of course she didn't like it, it was marital rape. she was jealous because her life was literal torture and Rhaenyra scoffed in the face of it, scoffed in the face of every choice given to her, and then betrayed and abandoned her.
like good god, use your fucking brains.

What most people don't understand about ex Mormons is that for a lot of us leaving the church is literally a matter of life and death.

Was reminded of nattikay's existence and got inspired, decided I might as well use the poll function.
No "show option." Choose or face my blade. Reblog for more votes, etc.

I want to be the perfect leftist but I feel like I’ll never measure up or that I’ll mess up or what if there’s a point that I don’t know about. I know it’s important but I hate how I have to check someone for their opinions and stuff. I wish everyone was inclusive and feminist and pro LGBTQA ally or have the exact same opinion. I have friends who aren’t racist or homophobia or transphobic but they have stuff I disagree with and I still want to hang out with them and not cut them off. I have a feminist pro lgbtqa friend who believes Depp was the victim based on the court verdict and said we will never know a hundred percent what happened . And I have another one who is kind of liberaland loves Marvel and likes Top Fun and has a childhood friend who is anti choice that’s invited to her birthdays. I know those topics are important but I wish everything was perfect and they have the opinion I have. I love them they are my closest friends I don’t want to drop them
I don’t know much about Top Gun but I like Marvel and as long as you understand the criticisms of it and don’t defend it, I don’t think it’s necessarily bad to like it? That’s what I’ll say on that part.
With regards to the D*pp trial, it’s difficult because I can kind of see why people think that way about it because the media was biased in his favour and for that reason, so was a lot of social media. But yeah the anti choice friend thing is a bit yikes. I wouldn’t want a significant relationship with anyone who I knew thought afab people shouldn’t have full rights over their body so it’s a little odd of her to remain friends with that person, but I understand a bit I guess if they’ve been friends since they were kids.
I’m not going to say you should drop any of them. That’s your call.

One of Hello Future Me's videos on revolution brought up an event from the Philippines back in the 80s: the dictator sent a battalion to crush a supposed revolt, only for the soldiers to be met with nuns and children offering food and water. The majority of the army defected as a result
I'm going to use rwby to try hammering this abstract concept into a coherent thought, but this incident got me thinking about how nonviolent protest is theater
If a similar event were to occur in rwby, for it to be successful, the protestors would have to be the cutesy faunus types: rabbits, cats, dogs, and the like because they're non-threatening. Attacking a sweet cat faunus would be akin to attacking a child or nun, paragons of innocence and virtue respectively. Only a monster could cut them down, and no one wants to be seen as a monster
A scorpion faunus, though? Their mere existence is a threat. That tail is dangerous, a weapon available at all times. Bull faunus have horns they can use to gouge out eyes and organs. Claim they attacked and most people would agree that killing them in self-defense is justified
Because nonviolent resistance relies on public perception, people who could possibly taint the image of the movement will get left in the dark no matter how important they are. Bayard Rustin was the one who taught Dr King about civil disobedience and was an organizer for many major events, but he opted to ride to events in the trunk of people's cars so his status as an openly gay man wouldn't harm the movement's image
There would be little wonder why the White Fang would be more popular with the "scarier" faunus. Public perception is already against them, so it's not going to change much for them if they join a violent organization, but this in turn will be seen as justification for discrimination against these types of faunus. A hellish self-perpetuating cycle
These faunus would also be far more likely to experience violence at a much younger age, akin to how black children are treated as adults even if they're literally six years old
The strategy behind nonviolent protest like the ones Dr King did is to show the world the mistreatment of the innocent, but when your existence is deemed a threat, there's little hope that you'll ever get enough support to change the system. This is why bigots constantly spew the "queer groomer" and black crime "statistics": by portraying someone's freedom as a danger to the innocent, any level of violence is justifiable defense. The police aren't attacking queers, black, and brown folk discriminately, they're attacking dangerous criminals, so it's okay!!1!
Theater can't save those already condemned and to try is wasted effort
#rwde#antiblackness tw#<- in the link#Claudette Colvin refused to give up her seat a whole 9 months before Rosa Parks yet wasnt the face of the movement#good choice considering she was only 15 and shoving a teen into the racist public eye is Not Good but her pregnancy was also a major factor#idk hopefully i got the point across#somewhat related is the trend of the privileged being the biggest advocates for peaceful protest#while the ones who've endured violence - both economically and physically - are the ones who call upon violence#which almost always means violent *self defense*#the few occasions ive read where there were actual attacks its been targeted like the BLA ambushing cops#cant say i blame them considering the mcfucking everything the cops had going on#the bpp was basically destroyed by the police and fbi at this point and that was probs a major factor in their decision#and targeted violence was exactly what the white fang was doing before cinder showed up and ruined everything#literally nothing the wf does in the show is actually for faunus liberation bc its all cinder/salems orders!!#and no one is allowed to have a brain or personality or anything so no one questions why theyre suddenly switching targets#gr8 discussion abt activism here shawluna. love that you reduced the anti racism movement to mercenaries to avoid saying anything at all#ffs they even fucked up weiss's side of the convo! obvs the fumbling of blakes ball is much worse but come the fuck on#'the wf may have assassinated company board members and family friends but were teammates now so who cares!! team rwby go!!'#fucking barf

See and I chose the more polite dialogue option and she's acting like she's owed something. Quite frankly her behavior is mirroring that nasty attempted r*pist Lord Farrow who thinks he's owed the woman he wants. And what really irks me is that she never apologizes in this chapter, and the chapter acts like mc was rude and hateful for denying Nat sex...

People can choose.
People can choose not to get vaxed. I will not judge them if it’s for legitimate medical reasons, but I will judge others as they are endangering others and themselves
People can choose to be vegan. I will not judge them if they don’t force their beliefs onto others, but I will when they make their pets vegan and scream at passers by to be vegan
People can choose to not have an abortion. I will not judge them as it’s their right to choose, but I will if they use their situation as a way to say “pro-life” and to force their beliefs on others
People can choose to be religious. I will not judge them as they have a right to faith and belief’s, but I will if they force others to believe the same as them and if they don’t then they hate them
People can choose. But that doesn’t mean I will judge them.
People can choose. But that doesn’t mean I won’t judge them.

PB really thinks cheating or being a homewrecker is cool in fiction but its not
The way they portray it is so disgusting, too. Sam and the MC were infallible and always portrayed as good people who were truly in love and their affair wasn’t wrong because it was real love. But when Sofia and Robin do the exact same thing, the book and characters automatically vilify them (tbh, as they should) for the very thing Sam and the MC are praised and respected for.
Same thing with Jenny and Aditya, except Aditya was already married rather than just engaged (while Jenny was aware of this fact), so in a way, it’s slightly worse. Their relationship, like Sam and MC’s, stemmed purely from lust and exhilaration rather than love and gradual development, yet it’s portrayed in a way that has the characters in the book sympathizing with them anyway rather than (rightfully) scorning them for their affair. Worse still, Aditya’s wife is scapegoated and blamed for his affair and no one even thinks to tell her what’s going on.
Frankly, as a person who’s been cheated on by several different partners, one of which was a four-year relationship and occurred somewhat recently, the way PB paints cheating and unfaithfulness in a positive light and the cheaters as star-crossed lovers with a big bad fiancé/spouse/whatever keeping them apart, is deeply, deeply insulting. And with cheating culture existing, we really don’t need anything else to perpetuate such selfish, unfathomably shitty behavior, especially to Choices’ audience, which contains a lot of impressionable children and teens.
Some naïve part of me still consumes their work hoping the characters will receive some kind of comeuppance or karma for their actions, but they don’t. The cheaters are rewarded and get to live happy lives despite meddling in at best or wrecking at worst their victims’ lives.
I think that if PB does keep writing stories about affairs, they need to write everything that comes with them. The deep, often permanent emotional scarring, the constant paranoia and lack of trust, the misplaced self-loathing and self-blame, the heartbreak and agony of someone you trusted so deeply having betrayed you, all of it.

In addition, I'd add that all of people I've seen supporting the overturn of RvW are concerningly silent about expanding sex ed and access to contraception. You know...things that would mitigate many abortions in the first place? None of the people I've seen cheering on the overturn have said anything about the women and girls who may become pregnant through rape or incest. At least one woman's life has already been jeopardized because her doctors had to confirm that ending her ectopic pregnancy wouldn't get them arrested.
There are no safety nets. Healthcare in this country is a joke. The educational system is horrifically broken. Mental health is nearly impossible to access for millions who really need it. Wages have been stagnating since the Reagan years. We are at the very beginning of what is shaping up to be a major, future-shaping housing crisis. But yeah...forcing women to give birth to unwanted babies is just what this country needs to get healthy.
None of this even begins to touch on the fact that the overturn of RvW means that a lot of other SC decisions are now vulnerable. If you don't think that a woman's right to bodily autonomy and legal protections against police intrusion are linked, I've got some bad news for you about the next few years...
