Sorry for being so rambly today (and last night) I have thoughts so onto the blog they go

I feel like part of the joy of art is in community, like you create something and you get to talk about it and share it with the world. This year I lost touch with the friends who I would always talk about art with and I think that loss is heavily impacting my ability to create (and the enjoyment I get from it.) I miss having a new idea and getting to ramble about it excitedly. I miss texting people the sketches and the mock ups and the color palettes.

I got into art for me. I wouldn’t show anything I made to anyone for years. So I’m no stranger for creating for the target audience of myself. Still, I miss that sense of community. I love this blog and I absolutely adore the lovely comments you all leave on my art but sometimes it feels so one-sided on here. I post a piece, I receive a lovely tag back and that’s it. End of story. I spend hours and hours working on something and it kind of disappears into the void in a day or so.

Trying to put it into words, but I think I wish I could create art that starts a conversation. That inspires people to create their own things in response, or even just talk with me about process. I think the perfectionism has gotten out of hand lately because I feel like I’m missing something—which I attribute to the quality of the piece—but really what I’m missing is buddies to chat about art with. There is no level of being “good enough” that will serve as a substitute for a real community.

Currently, I’m actually away from home visiting my family for their spring break, so I haven’t actually been really been working on anything this week outside of my freelance work (which is the boring stuff anyway, haha). 😭

But I did draw this for my friend the other day! It’s our TPoF OCs, Marina and Felix, haha. It’s a continuation of a Valentine’s Day post I did last month with Fox and another moot’s OC. :)

He drew my header image the other day when I was feeling a bit sad, so I kind wanted to return the favor, haha. ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡

•Tbh, they weren’t expecting a mini them

•But in all honesty, they like it.

•I mean, a mini version of yourself is sick as hell, and you can teach them crazy shit.

•But fr though, they like taking care of you.

•Also, it is confirmed that the employers are vampires, no joke. So I’m just imaging you biting random agents and Auditor is in the back like: “Lmao, that’s my kid.”

•I also think that they share their drinks with you because you’re technically also an employer? (I have a headcanon that the employers have different taste in drinks n all that. Like how Auditor has a taste in sweeter or more sugary drinks.)

•I also think that you mock them in a way. Like being in their office a lot and typing on the computer, etc. Trying to live up their name.

•But yeah, they love taking care of you and do get a little upset when not having time to be with you.

One shot:

Alright, ever since you got accidentally created, you’ve been kinda a nightmare for the agency. You gnaw at everything you see, scratch at everything, and just be a little shit head in general.

The only way for you to calm down was your dad…

Your dads drinks.

Apparently, sugary drinks help you calm down instead of being a hyper little shit head. That's where you are right now, getting chased down by everyone, including your dad because you won't accept sugary drinks. "(Name)!!" Auditor yelled out over the speaker.

"I swear to God, (Name)! This has been going on for 3 whole hours! How the hell do you have the energy for this shit!?" Auditor yelled once again. You continued to run through the halls as the agents chased you down. As you kept on running, you got trapped in a corner. You turned around to look at the agents who're trying to slowly grab you.

You looked below you and realized a vent was underneath you. The agents also noticed this and one of them lost their control and instantly tried to grab you, forcing you to climb into the vent and close the cover behind you quickly. "Uh, MX.. They're in the vents now.." one of the agents hesitantly stated into the ear piece. "Goddamn it! Alright, everyone, go to every vent in the agency and guard it. We need to get (Name) to calm down as soon as possible!" Auditor command.

All the agents nodded at eachother and all started to spread out to each individual vent in the place. Now here you are, climbing through the vents, trying to find your dad's office. The one place where an agent isnt guarding the vent. Auditor hummed when looking over the camera footage, trying to find out where you are.

Auditor was honestly getting some deja vu rn from the fnaf 2 and 3 vent stuff. Honestly kinda scared them a bit.

Anyways, after 10 minutes of this bs, you finally found your dad's office and giggled to yourself. You were about to jump out of the vent before hearing your dad say this. "You're in here, (Name)!" You jolted from this and tried to crawl away before one of Auditors tendrals grabbed you from the vent and made you drop down and into their hands.

"All agents, (Name) has been found. Go back to your post at once." Auditor commanded. Auditor was now glaring at you with anger. You tried to squirm your way out of their hold but no use. Their grip was strong enough to hold you still and all that.

"(Name), you caused a lot of trouble today! Do you know how much work had to be put aside because of you!?" Auditor scolded. You realized their words and kinda dropped down a bit, your flames/shadows going down. Auditor looks over your state and sighs.

They set you down on the ground and kneel down towards you. "I know that you know we don't get a lot of time together, right?" Auditor questioned. You nodded and looked away a bit in slight shame. "Listen, I'll make a deal, (Name)." This got your attention, making you look back up at them. "Sometime, this week, I'll take a day off and hang out with you. Spend some time together." Auditor swore.

You looked up at them for a bit with sparkles in your eyes(?), before lifting your left hand up and bringing your pinky out. Auditor chuckled a bit from this and brought their left hand out, wrapping their pinky around yours.

Well damn. That was really sweet. I hope you like this, anon!

I was not prepared for this shit.

I gotta tell ya something before showing my oc trash… sketchbooks idk

I just found my old sketchbooks in the dephs of my wardrobe to show some things… and I thought I remembered everything I drew in there, well long story short, I did not.

I’ll just say that I literally cried while looking through them, and equally because i thought it was cute and beautiful and the cringest thing I’ve ever seen yk? Maybe it has also just been the memories and flash backs that came back to me at once •.•

So this are a few of my ocs, I can’t show you all of them because of multiple reasons ^^ (they are fucking ugly and I don’t want to)

And some more infodump: (You don`t have to read it, but do it if you want to)

- There is a whole story build around them, but sadly I forgot much of it and have to fill the gaps and plot holes again in all the notebooks i have skribbled the story in. (After I found them)

- Fyi, they cuddle a LOT (platonically) I think I can still remember that I wanted to use them to give me the feeling that cuddles and showing affection are cute and should be allowed (I don’t know how to say it differently, I know it’s allowed yk) without a romantic relationship or something idk wtf —w— (my two friends strongly disagree)

- In these pictures are only two of my characters, but as far as I remember there are five „main“ characters and a lot of side and backround characters. Just for you to know. The blonde boy (he has a name) is only the fourth one I designed, but he is definitely one of my favorites ^^ (The grey- haired guy is the first one and the first picture is also the first page with him. So that‘s where I designed him and his birthday is also the day I created him, so september 8th) (then there’s the pink- haired dude… he’s the second one, I can’t tell ya more ^^)

- This is actually only the second „universe“ I created, theres another one that is more of a science fiction story with.. planets and space ships and all this bullshit (i love this bullshit just for you to know) if you know what I mean. Maybe you‘ll get to see it, but I don‘t really have good drawings of it. Also I‘m currently working on anoter „universe“ (sorry I don‘t know how else to call it) with vampires and stuff… so eventually you‘ll see more of that.

- If you’re interested in knowing more about them… idk then either let me know or wait until I post more in… years or so ;)

This is gonna be long, so if you don't have the time to read it, it's cool, I'll summarise it like this:

I think I'm back. Kinda. Expect some blasts of Hol Horse fanart that I missed sharing here since November 2023 (if you followed my Twitter/X, you might have seen them)

Okay, I know excuses can be bad but here's mine to kinda justify my absence.

I admit that I had been feeling depressed with what's happening in P@lest1ne for the past 6 months, because I had never seen it happening in real time, in videos and interviews. 20+ years ago, anything about them came in the form of stories from actual P@lest1nians whom I had the privilege to meet during my volunteer work in school, and newspaper articles from local publishers. Our local broadcasters still chant FTRTTS whenever they talk about them. But the real-time atrocities and the aftermath really got me hard. I'm not one to shy away from real-life gore - true crime is my go-to documentary whenever I'm relaxing - but what's happening there - the injustice, the brutality, the depravity - can be too much for me to bear.

I'm not saying I'm used to it by now...I still hear my heart break with every dead and hungry child I see on my screen, but at the same time, I feel a bit more hopeful. Mainly because I believe in the P@lest1nians' faith and resilience, and I believe in mine.

Apart from world events, on a personal level, my company moved to a new building in December, about an extra 30 minutes drive away from my home, so I was almost on a blackout from online stuff back then. Didn't even touch the 1 Day 1 Hol Horse challenge (but thankfully they are done now...will share them later). The move-out was done around the end of January 2024, and then I got busy again with work in February. Work had been very hectic because everything had been disorganised since the move. Even now, we don't really have internet in the new building and had to use our phone data for that.

Wanted to get back last month, but delayed it until today because my cat was sick with cancer. My cat, little Vee, whom I had for 12 years, just passed 2 days ago, 1 day before my birthday ;-;

Anyway, all that said, I think I'm ready to be back now on tumblr. I know I missed a lot of drawings that I kinda promised myself to finish (like the Halloween Hol), and also posting the 1 Day 1 Hol Horse doodles. I missed other people's Hol Horse and HolPol fanart as well. I also have a few thoughts I wanted to share of our favourite JoJo cowboy too...

So in the next few hours, I'll be doing just that. I apologise for the massive spam that's about to come beforehand. Just note that if you cannot wait for the fanart blast, you're welcomed to dig for them on my Twitter/X.

On current notes, I'm in the middle of doing The Emperor Month Challenge. Basically, Hol Horse with the other Part 3 characters. I missed 2 days now, but I'll be catching up. This will be on until the end of this month.

For now, I won't be doing requests/art trades because I wanna start drawing for my JoJo OCs. I have been neglecting them for months.

Hopefully the depression will simmer down. The world is a mess, and I'm trying to soldier on.

Introducing Meiri (pronouced May-ree), my Bell Keeper's daughter OC!

I'd been thinking about creating this OC for a long time, and finally got the energy to actually conceptualize her a few months ago. Stubborn and smart, Meiri is the kind of person that at first sight makes you assume she hates you, but if you manage to stick around long enough you'll see she has a soft core, especially for her dad. Don't point it out, though. She'll deny it to her grave.

I wanted to make her introduction post today because the plan was making it on her in-universe birthday date. Originally it was going to be on the 21st of September, but that one was already taken. By The Hilda The Series. I'm not gonna compete with that. Oh, and also because I'm kinda terrified about the looming announcement of season 3 and wanted to introduce her asap in case they destroy something in Meiri's lore with the new season. No idea how long we will have between the announcement and the release date (I mean, last time there was enough time to freak out about her dad, so there's hope!), but I wanted to get her origin story at least mostly posted before the new content arrived :') will I manage it? Who knows!

Anyway, most of her content will be in the form of fics (obviously), but I've been trying to draw her as well because I feel some ideas are just best executed that way. I'm still only beginning, though, so don't expect much from me 😅

Aside from the info already mentioned in this post, I'd like to add that she uses she/her pronouns, is on the autistic spectrum (I don’t know how to write neurotypicals anymore, sorry) and that there are also two other designs for her, for a 9-12 age range and a 15-17 age range, but those will (hopefully) come later on as I expand the Meiridom.

Sketchbook dump because I’m hhwhwhwhwhwhww tired from school

Some of these are from today some are from a week ago lesgo

1st one: a little practice 2-page spread I did a week or so ago so I could get used to drawing hobies hair (I’ve just been struggling with drawing hair a little in general recently idk what’s been going on) but uhhh yeah :) I’m pretty happy with it, I like the one highlighted in yellow on the left page (ignore the foo fighters sticker I got a cd that day so I kept the label for some reason, also my brother gave me that sticker real neat, also the page is so smudged omfg 😭)

2nd: (did this one and the rest today in my online classes because I was bored 🥱) inspired by a post I saw going in depth about Miguel’s personality (go read it, I reblogged it yesterday!!!) he is so kenough this might be my favorite drawing I’ve ever done with him :3 also ace Miguel is canon I’m Sony trust me guys

3rd: random dragon I drew and just made an OC. No they will probably not get any lore. They just exist. Hold your applause /j

4th: warriors au doodles!! Mostly some lore related stuff so I’ll go from left to right with some lil’ tidbits and facts

- the top drawing on the left page is of Reclusebite (Miguel) and his littermate, Dusty (Gabriel, Miguel’s canon brother from the comics that I hear are really bad so I refuse to read them). I don’t think I’ll ever really include Dusty in anything since idk much abt him but I think he’s quite the silly guy. Probably misses his brother because he went on to go start a little kitty club.

- the drawing under that is just a kind of like.. filler thing?? I like the idea of warriors having more than one apprentice for some reason so I liked the idea of Reclusestar having to mentor both Spikepaw (Hobie Brown) and Nightpaw (catified Spider-Man OC, he doesn’t do much storywise.). I think it’s funny. They probably bother him a lot but he still doesn’t care enough to be mad, just annoyed and disappointed sometimes.

- the right page is just spiderdad content because it is canon in this au hehehe,, I like my Brightsky (Peter B Parker) design a lot hes silly and kinda reminds me of fanon harestar designs.

okay so I know I said I’d have a post for Monday but stuff happened (nothing bad don’t worry) so this is late and also not what I had planned. but it’s something at least while I’m working on drawing and trying to actually finish a drawing for once in my life

anyways without further ado: more Voltron dragon prince AU shenanigans because that is still very much a thing that I want to do and am going to at least have some “official” art done for at some point in the year.

I only have an idea for Shiro’s design right now, but I have so much more to talk about in this post.

Shiro doesn’t really have a direct parallel to anyone in the dragon prince, but he’s still important (obviously) and he still goes missing. I can’t really say too much about him because of story and plot reasons but there is gonna be Cool Stuff happening. I decided to make him a moon shadow elf because it makes the most sense, and also I just thought he would look cool as one. He’s still engaged to Adam, and he still goes missing with Sam and Matt Holt.

That’s all I can say about Shiro for now, but I still have other characters to talk about.

Adam is going to be playing an active role in this because I want him to and also he won’t fucking die because I think he should live. As a treat.

In this AU, Adam is human. A huge part of his whole deal is that he will be looking for a Shiro and Keith alone because they’re the two most important people in his life and he wants to find them.

Also, Adam and Shiro’s relationship is secret, only Keith knows that they’re together and that’s a huge motivation as to why Adam goes searching for them alone since he’s kinda trapped since he can’t exactly go out and get help finding Shiro and Keith. Anyways, that’s enough about those two, let’s get on to everyone else I’m talking about today

I’m just going to make a quick bullet point list of characters I don’t have much to say on in this post but I still wanna say what their deal is in the AU:

Coran is going to be Opeli (the like, advisor in TDP). He’s the royal adviser, but he also helped raised Lance and Allura. I don’t really have much to say about him other than he will still very much be himself and I love him

Matt is a scholar or something of that type along with his father, and they meet Shiro while doing research and end up befriending him (thank you Aeon for this suggestion your brain is great)

Romelle is going to be the equivalent of Ellis (the kid with the wolf). Also trans Romelle because I am a trans Romelle truther

Veronica is going to be this AUs Amaya but not going to be exactly like her (also, please let me know if you guys think that I should make Veronica deaf like Amaya since I would like having a deaf character in this but idk if it should be her or another side character that would most likely be an OC)

Krolia is going to be missing/MIA

The BoM are going to be the moonshadow elf assassins, but without the whole knowledge or death deal since. I just don’t want them to have that and it’s my AU I get to do what I want

Honerva is dead lol

Zarkon will be Viren

Ezor, Zethrid, Narti and Axca are still Lotor’s Lesbians and I have Several Ideas for them

I still have a lot that I wanna do, like learn how to draw dragons because Whoops I made an AU that has dragons and a lot of them but I don’t know how to draw them, and I have a lot to talk about when it comes to certain decisions I made for this, like Zarkon and Honerva and some things I have in mind for them. This is probably going to be a project that will take a long time to even officially get started because I don’t know how to write but I so desperately want to tell the story I have in mind and have it be enjoyable.

I’ll make another post soon with more in-depth descriptions and ideas for Zarkon, along with something I like to call the “kill-die scale” and also some ideas I am still struggling with

They are both so broken but trying their best and the most important aspect is that (in my canon story) their friendship happens FIRST and is MOST important before anything else occurs between them. FemShep x Garrus Vakarian (Mass Effect) - I went hard for this one... it's almost like there's something about red-headed strong-willed women with snarky, non-human mercenaries with distinctive voices that just does it for me... Jude x Cardan (The Folk of the Air series) - Despite the fact these are "young adult" books, holy shit did they do something for me. Also 100000% better than any published erotica I've ever read AND a fantastic example of enemies-to-lovers. Anyways, I finished the main trilogy recently and these two have been rotating on a smaller platform in the background while Yyra and Teldryn continue to rotate in the foreground lol. I HAVE TO ADD ONE MORE, SORRY, I'M BREAKING RULES BUT NIKAIDO x KAIMAN (DOROHEDORO) HAS TO BE INCLUDED TOO, I am obsessed

First Ship I have such a hard time remembering stuff from my early life, but technically the first pairing of people that I fixated on (though this would be way before "shipping" was a thing I knew about) was Aerith x Sephiroth (despite how that canonically goes lol, but i guess i've always loved saying fuck canon).

Last Song "Magia" by Kalafina - Despite almost never watching anime, I binged Puella Magi Madoka Magica in one day (it's only 12 episodes) and holy cow that fucking show what the fuck. Anyways, the end credit song rocks and this is it.

Currently Reading Inside of a Dog by Alexandra Horowitz Attack of the 50 Foot Blockchain by David Gerard I recommend both of these so far, but I'm also only partially through them because I always take a thousand years to read nonfiction.

Last Film Dearest Sister (2016) - It's weird if I'm not watching at least one horror film in the past week, but this was actually two weeks ago? I think I need to re-watch it, but I thought it was pretty good!

also hello 🌜 anon! I think your ask is the next one sitting in my inbox and I'm excited to write it :)

I've mentioned it before I believe, but what brings L to a state of zen is rain. And again I'll mention I don't think it actually brings him that sense of calm and belonging unless he's somewhere small. A garden. A driveway. An onsen. I should draw L in rain. He likes the way each single drop of rain is its own individual part of the whole. He likes how they all "work together." He likes the sound. It reminds him of England.

L is terrified of very few things. He has fears, yes, I think he's scared of thunder and also of zombies, and of being unloved and forgotten. which is very likely, nobody noticed that L had died (he's still alive) and Light took over except for people who knew/had been told that he had died. the world only knew him as a detective not even a person and why do I want to make myself cry today, sigh. Anyway. The thing he's number one most afraid of is losing his ability to think and speak and communicate. So any virus that attacks the brain absolutely TERRIFIES him. He lies awake at night thinking about lyssavirus/rabies and listeria and everything else he's heard of (let's be honest L has a weak immune system the common cold could probably kill him). Any brain damage at all, anything related to it, terrifies him.

SEXUALITY & GENDER HEADCANONS LET'S GO,, okay. L usually just tells people it's none of their business, 1) because it's none of their business and 2) because it takes him a while to list it all (he'd go into more detail than I have). L identifies as: arospec (demiromantic), acespec (greysexual) and pan (he thinks from a technical definition he'd be omni, as he has a preference for men, but he prefers the pan label). When asked by someone what his gender is he'll inevitably reply "what the fuck is gender lol" — the wording because he thinks it's funny and the sentiment because he honestly does not care about gender. L is just L. He looks masc because it's just easier to keep going the way he was raised and he accepts he/him pronouns mostly but you could refer to him as anything and he wouldn't care. Would probably be surprised because he's accustomed to being called he/him but would not care. He'd also wear dresses and skirts and whatever if it was a more appropriate choice for the situation or weather n stuff. oops haha I wrote a lot.

Oh boy talking about L and the change questions is gonna be a lot. One of my favourite things to think about is L's inner conflict and how much he wants to change but is at the same time afraid of it. Iirc he mentions in canon that he knows his own methods aren't great but doesn't make any effort to change them. I think the main reason for that is that he's been brought up knowing how unjust the justice system is and being taught that it's okay for him to do bad things if it makes the bad people go away, i.e. the ends justify the means. So he's afraid he won't be as good of a detective if he follows the law he upholds. Watari probably doesn't help very much with that. But L DOES want to be a good person, otherwise he's a hypocrite and creating as many problems as he prevents. As for how he has changed, well, he went from a poor little boy to someone who was told their only purpose was their intelligence and raised to be a brilliant detective at the same time as his own individuality and life was destroyed and that's really sad to me. When I write L I hope to write him learning to be a person outside of his work. once again it's the Rie formula my dear OC there to let me rewrite everything for a happy AU. HELP I wrote even more for that one shhfhfhfnfgn.

As i mentioned earlier, i really liked your Miss Raven drawings! they're so cute! especially when you drew Miss Raven in alternative clothing. I also like how much detail you put in your designs for Miss Raven, like the ones for the Fairy Gala or Masquerade Ball are so beautiful 🥺 and still fit her character!

The one you did with her wearing different dorm uniforms from each dorm was such a cool idea! it was interesting to see how she may have appeared if Miss Raven was transferred to said dorms! call me biased, but i liked the octavinelle design the most 😂 but poor Miss Raven. If she had to work part-time in Mostro lounge, she'll have to avoid two predatory Eels 😭 One wants to tease her while the other either wants to squeeze her or dump all his work on her cuz he isn't feeling it today, then there's Azul who takes advantaged of the fact that Miss Raven is close to headmaster Crowley and makes profit 📈 Run Miss Raven Run!!!

Anyway, I think i'm going to steal her away and fight off a certain dangerous and manipulate Eel, a Skilful Hunter, a Lazy Lion, and a dude with the power of christ (idk is Rollo x Raven even a thing?!).

Wehhh 😭 I’m glad you find enjoyment in my silly little doodles! Art is definitely an area I’m less comfortable with, but I do like dabbling in it when the mood strikes.

There’s something therapeutic in designing a new look for your OC! You take the time to consider their individual style, the overall theme, and how you can marry the two to create a cute outfit~ I’m really happy with how Raven’s Fairy Gala Couture came out; it’s definitely one of my favorite looks for her. The Masquerade outfit was also fun for me to assemble, but it seems a lot less cohesive in hindsight (probably because I didn’t line + color it, so it’s harder to distinguish individual elements??).

The NRC dorm uniforms (+ the sequel with RSA and NBC uniforms) was another cool project! I think my favorites from those are the Heartslabyul look (just because I’m a sucker for the Alice in Wonderland aesthetic + Raven is twisted from the raven in its infamous riddle), the Diasomnia look (it gives “fairy tale princess turned knight” energy), and the Noble Bell look (because the extra fabric is nice and flowy). You can see how the environment and the personality of each school/dorm influences her, right? ^^ It’s also interesting to think about how differently Raven might have turned out if each of these places had more of an influence on her life.

Bruh 💀 I think she’d die if she worked at the Mostro Lounge, dealing with customers and shady coworkers and employer… though that’s not to say that any of the other dorms would necessarily be better! Miss Raven would have gripes with or rivals in each of them somehow. It’s the Night Raven College way, I guess??

One of these things is not like the other… Looking back on it, 3 out of 4 of those are basically predatory-prey dynamics there there’s a type developing and I don’t know if I like it/j 😂 I’d say Jade’s the “main” love interest, while Rook’s the “oh, he’s cute” one… L*ona kind of started as a crack ship but now I think it’s more of a one-sided thing?? Like, Miss Raven still sees L*ona as sort of a rival, whereas he’s grown a little fond of her but knows he can’t do much to sway her… It’s the eternally “second place” syndrome… 😔

Rollo has the most complex relationship with her (sure, call it a ship if you want 😂), built primarily on a strange savior complex. He did some heinous stuff and dislikes her because she’s very pro-magic—but I think there’s a part of him that feels like she’s a lost lamb that’s been led astray by Draconia and therefore he needs to “save” and “correct” her. Problem is, he’s bad at Emotions so his anger gets redirected at Miss Raven herself. Meanwhile, Miss Raven realizes the similarities between herself and Rollo, so she wants to be a friend to him. She sort of forces him to be her pen pal (thinking that writing down how he feels will help him cope with what happened). So weirdly enough, Raven wants to “save” Rollo and Rollo wants to “save” Raven (but both suck at communicating well).

Who knows, we’ll see how things play out from here Nd when the whim to draw strikes next 📝

I know you've said you don't have many thoughts about Revchi but I just wanted someone to rant to since that's apparently what we're doing now and your takes are indeed excellent (shout-out to Neige anon)

I genuinely think he must carry a lot sadness and trauma, that he closed his heart so much. When Gueldre said that all the other Purple Orcas hated him and that's why no one took his side when he got set up, he didn't even deny it or even react. For some reason he won't allow himself to open up to others even when he had the opportunity to make friends. That's totally unhealthy (honestly, the other Purple Orcas probably couldn't be counted on anyway since from what little we see of them, they're the BC equivalent of dirty cops).

I don't know how to word it but there's something so sad about him. He reminds me a bit of Zora in a way, like they both hide their inner pain with cynicism and snark. How he calls himself "just a wretched thief" in the first chapter, the way he somewhat hides his scar with his hair, even the way his speech bubbles are drawn all wobbly??? Someone get that man into therapy asap please

On an unrelated sidenote you've actually made me appreciate Fuegoleon, believe it or not. I used to not care about him at all but now I like him a lot lol

I mean "not having a lot of thoughts" is always relative too. Like, I ended up writing quite a lot for Revchi in that one ask game, which surprised even me. So it seems I had more thoughts than what I thought, but I still don't think it's comparatively a lot if we take into account other characters.

Plus, now that my exams, and this semester are finally over, I have the next three weeks time to do nothing and sleep. Instead of having my braincells running study stuff in the background on an pinned tab, which might affect how many thoughts I have to spare for the fandom. Also, I like having interactions, even if they might be people feeling frustrated over how unloved their borbo is. (Again, as long as it's like constructive; a mandatory side note, because it's a public blog) I know that everyone doesn't want to interact in the comment section or via reblogs, because they don't want to draw that attention to their blogs, which is fine. But these interactions make me feels less like I'm shouting to the wind, and are evoking my love for the fandom again. And I think that the best way to learn to appreciate and get insight of a character is to talk to someone who likes said character (as long as they haven't like... made the character into pretty much just an oc with the same name, y'know the type and issue generally speaking; it happens in every fandom)

ANYWAYS, back on track and to Revchi

I think there are a lot of characters in BC that do that. Close their emotions because showing emotions isn't... allowed in a lot of circles in BC. Just today in our BC dnd campaign we basically concluded "the Magic Parliament, where justice is scrapped and public image is all that matters; welcome to the heart of Clover Kingdom".

Who knows what happened that caused Revchi to get hated like that, but I'd say that when someone is staged for a crime, there is a good chance that they stood in the way of those who ended up setting said person up. So, it's perfectly possible that Revchi was a "good cop among bad ones" and ended up getting hated and isolated by that, probably along with a lot of other things, that essentially just broke his spirit, and caused him to spiral into a "...if being a wretched thief is what's right in this kingdom, I guess that's what I'll be then" or even "they call me as a wretched thief, so I'll show them one". Which is a kind of a call for help, in a way. The man was spiralling. And when he starts to live up to the rumours, and the reason why he was dismissed, he's not doing any favours for himself, but by then he was beyond caring about it.

Why he won't open up, could be a case of being stabbed in the back, figuratively. So, maybe he trusted someone in that squad, maybe even went to Gueldre, thinking that he could trust a Captain of Clover Kingdom, and Gueldre just threw him to the wolves. I mean... if that doesn't shake your belief into the justice system of Clover, what would?

There is a tragedy in there. He's just a guy who tried to do good (as a headcanon, because all of this is purely speculation ofc), and ended up thrown into the mud.

He doesn't believe in goodness of the world anymore. Or that there can be such a thing as "justice" in Clover. Which is very similar as to what Zora feels. Actually. For Zora it's just about what happened to his dad, and for Revchi it's about what happened to him.

I imagine the wobbly speech bubbles to be a kind of a voice cracking up. Because, deep down, he didn't want to do what he did. But he was in too deep in his own head, the cynicism. Because no one would care. It wasn't the kind of a world where people would care, in his mind. The line between a hardened criminal and a knight was a line drawn in sand on a beach.

Who knows, maybe he even thought that stealing a couple of grimoires and selling them in the black market might earn him the trust of the Orcas again. Revchi just might be yet another character that Clover Kingdom failed.

I do have a google sheet with a buncha characters written down but it has some spoilers in it so... 👀

But I can absolutely give a rundown!! Magyctale doesn't exactly have a solid "gimmick" (like Underswap or Underfell) but it's more like a rewrite of sorts? The characters act somewhat differentlyto their original counterparts and the main meat of the story is how their journey affects them and their relationships. :3

So for instance: Season 1 is for the most part a reimagining of Undertale, with a few original characters sprinkled alongside the AU cast. One of the biggest changes is that Frisk is older (they're about 17) so they have a lot more to say and there's a lot more room for them to express themself. Also I just prefer writing characters who aren't small childen XDD

After Season 1 is when it starts going into more stuff from my own noggin as opposed to being a retelling. So S1 is kinda like introducing all the characters and their dynamics before adding more stuff :3

By far my favorite arc is the one that incorperates elements from Deltarune- that's where my favorite boys come in and also is the arc with the most OCs!! Especially Mave- that's my horrible horrible son whom I adore with my entire heart and soul <3<3<3

i feel so funny rambling on here again because i’ve been gone for so long BUT i finally bought an ipad pro and an apple pencil today because i’ve been really working hard at saving money and i got my tax return at the beginning of the month. i want to get back into drawing regularly again because i feel like a piece of me is missing now that i don’t draw anymore 😅 makes me sad!!! i used to be so passionate about it as a little girl. i would draw every day. i want to learn a lot of the technical things i never taught myself and try to utilize drawing as a healthy creative outlet.

recently one of my friends commented on the fact that i’ve been very creative lately (we play dnd together) in terms of creating new characters/stories/ideas. i think it’s because i’m always maladaptive daydreaming LOL i have been ever since i was a little kid. it’s just that dnd is a really fantastic outlet for that. so i’m always thinking about dnd. not to sound like a nerd 💀 i’ve been playing for almost 7 years now. it’s genuinely been one of the best hobbies i’ve ever picked up and it’s such a cool and fun creative outlet and a great way to bond with my friends. i used to draw my random little OCs all the time!!!!! and then as i got older it became “cringe” (lol 🙄) to do stuff like that so i kept it to myself a lot. but now i’m 27 and i don’t really give a fuck if the stuff i do is considered cringy or weird or whatever because those very hobbies are some of the only things that bring me any semblance of joy or peace when i’m doing badly or having an episode LOL so idc!! i wanna draw more dnd related stuff. even if it’s not good or polished because im tired of always worrying about the stuff i do or create being perfect. easier said than done obviously but i’m going to try. anyways all of this to say i hope i’ll be posting some art sometime soon in the near future!!
