Who else was there when the final chapter was released in Japanese on the scanlation sites? Remember when his works were just becoming popular overseas? Remember when http://hoxtranslations.blogspot.com/ was making an effort to translate all of Inio Asano’s manga which at the time wasn’t available overseas in English language yet? Remember when the only way to read Punpun was the “illegal” way? I remember reading this manga; 2013, just a mere few months before the final volume was released. Punpun was still this unknown, obscure indie manga that merely had a small western following on Tumblr. The term “utsu” manga (depressing manga) hasn’t been ascribed to Inio Asano’s works yet. It was yet the early days for his works over here... I remember those days fondly; those days made me who I am now as an artist. • 𝙻𝚊 𝚛𝚊𝚐𝚊𝚣𝚣𝚊 𝚒𝚗 𝚛𝚒𝚟𝚊 𝚊𝚕 𝚖𝚊𝚛𝚎⠀ è uno di quei manga da leggere con una certa maturità. ⠀ Crudo e, come sempre, brutalmente realistico, Asano ci propone la storia di due adolescenti che a causa di una vita che fino ad ora li ha feriti e delusi, intraprendono una distorta relazione fisica: non esiste amore, non esistono emozioni, ma solamente un desiderio di sfogare le proprie paure, insicurezze e rabbia.⠀ ⠀ • 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙖 : Koume dopo una delusione affettiva, cerca di consolarsi con un compagno di scuola, Isobe, che invece ha una cottarella per la ragazza. I due inizieranno ad incontrarsi occasionalmente per fare sesso, che in realtà si tradurrà solamente in un blando e comune palliativo per il loro mal di vivere.⠀ ⠀ • Asano è un maestro a rappresentare le varie sfaccettature dell’animo umano, in questo particolare racconto vediamo come due adolescenti ricorrano al sesso per sanare le loro ferite, anche se sappiamo bene che il tutto non può durare in eterno: prima o poi bisogna fare i conti con la cruda realtà e far pace con se stessi.⠀ Il sensei qui mette in evidenza il rapporto puramente carnale tra i due, infatti le scene di sesso sono molto esplicite e ricorrono spesso nel manga, a sottolineare appunto che si tratta solamente di “scopare” senza nessun trasporto, una vera e propria dipendenza che non porta a nulla, se non alla sofferenza che si ripresenta con gli interessi subito dopo il culmine del rapporto.⠀ ⠀ • I disegni sono come sempre vere e proprie opere ricche di dettagli, che fanno di questo autore un tratto inconfondibile e unico, qui poi è da notare l’atmosfera di totale calma e tranquillità che traspare sia dai personaggi che dal piatto paesaggio maritttimo: il tutto và in netto contrasto con con la brutale realtà che questi due giovani stanno vivendo.⠀ ⠀ • Sono sempre più convinta che Asano possa insegnare molto, leggere con leggerezza i suoi manga è semplicemente uno spreco di tempo: prendetevi il tempo di leggerli con attenzione, voglia, mente aperta e autocritica.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ #inioasano #mangaitalia #mangaka #manga #leggendo #otaku #otakugirl #mangaconsigliati #leggendomanga #asanoinio #buonanottepunpun #solanin #reading https://www.instagram.com/p/CBWICCBHO1V/?igshid=1bdd3no8esndx
