I have a beautiful friend
I have a beautiful friend. Half a year younger than me, with almond eyes and skin maybe two to three shades darker than caramel. Dusty sunset. It reminds me of spices and the billowing fumes of a barista coffee machine.
She has Columbian heritage, with glossy, thick black hair and long eye lashes. Dark eyes, bright teeth. She laughs big, smiles wide. The slight figure of a doe. She gets excited about everything. She's naive. She's adorable. She wants to explore.
She's beautiful, everyone tells her. She's terrified.
My friend sees the eyes. Of course she does. They're not admiring. They're predatory. She wears who she is on her sleeve, and she's a wondering, easily amazed person. She wants to be happy. Oh, have you ever heard of a better rape victim.
She wants to kiss someone. She wants to be in a relationship, with cuddles and pinky finger promises. She wants to be desired.
We smile. We watch her drink. We make sure she gets home afterwards.
Beauty is a lot of things. But I'd wager to say that no matter if you've carefully cultivated it yourself, were born into it, want it, use it, hate it, are aware of it
Broken down, all social veneers and descriptors stripped away,
It attracts attention.
Oh, Silvia Plath was right.

Quote
"The takeaway for me was that no matter what the beauty standard is, women will die to achieve it in a culture where they are taught that their worth and their access to love and humanity is based on that beauty"
- Virgie Tovar, a San Francisco-based author and public speaker whose work centers on ending weight-based discrimination.

I've seen a lot of posts and fics that potrayed ,,the most beautiful" omegas having small height, hourglass figure, plump ass, flat belly and big boobs, Which IS perfectly fine. But i also love and propose a new alternative to the beauty standards .
I totally headcannon that the perfect omega will have around 175cm height, plump figure, light skin, strong legs , wide hips and pronounced waist , medium size breasts, round and rosy cheeks, big eyes and long hair. I think that vision comes from the focus of omegas natural ferility and nurturing qualities that the society will try to manifest and accentuate , showing that ,,THIS is the epitome of beauty, that omega willl give you strong and healthy babies".
I also 100% think that this beauty standard will have a cute consequence that when alphas see their mates post partum (who will often have remaining fat belly that looks like another pregnancy) and they go BATSHIT horny about it . And just omegas feeling better about themselves because their mate acts like those boys who got shot by a love laser even after birthing their child 🥺
Tumblr media
Just alpha following their mate around with googly eyes and getting Cute Agression that they can't act on because baby mama is still recovering.
I also think that Mom bod would be a much more common thing that people would envy over.

Honestly I think it would do us all well to go back to kinda cringy feminism again for a little bit idk cause I think maybe for some people the discourse somehow circled back around to supporting sexism just rebranded or whatever so its more aesthetic
#personal#instead of progressing the discourse into idk more inclusion of women of color and trans women#it went in the direction of like glorifying women being stupid and romanticizing beauty standarts#also weird centering of men all over again in feminism and in general for some reason#remember in the early 2010s when emma watson was like obliterated for that 'he for she' campaign#because it prioritized men in feminist discourse and then thats the exact direction where things went later on (and where it is currently)#people care more abt like 'haha this is my golden retriever bf he drinks respect women juice!' than about actual women speaking abt feminis#like being a feminist isnt about social change and women prioritizing each other its abt how dudes are hot when they do the bare minimum!#also have you noticed the rise in lesbophobia both in the sense of persecution of lesbians themselves#and of lesbians relationships and culture which other wlw are also part of (its giving lavender menace)#and also remember how we had the me too movement and then immediately after#everyone still fell for a smear campaing against a victim of domestic abuse?#anyway i would really love to get back to basics of like women should support each other!#and beauty standarts overwhelmingly negatively affect women and girls!#and we still need to incentivize girls to seek out intellectual pursuits especially in STEM and leadership roles!#because we continue to be underpresented in those fields and the only way to enact change is to bring our perspectives to those areas#instead of asking politely for guys to throw us a bone!#also stop acting like its cringe to openly and vocally center and prioritize women in every sphere of our lives possible!#and also maybe go back to actively trying to do that! and considering that a good thing!??#because we're the ones who should have our backs most of all?? idk idk#also where are the teeth??#why is everyone so afraid of being angry now???#its like some people circled back to being afraid of being mistaken for man-hating or something#just for pointing out common sense aspects of oppression without adding an asterisk about how men suffer too!#i thought we all knew there is no such thing as reverse sexism!!!#idk!!!#and this isnt me condoning choice feminism many women are evil and actively work against their own interests#or antagonize other women to make themselves feel important such as terfs etc#but idk its like everyone internalized that 'well women can suck too' so hard that its become like#'*most* women suck and we dont even have to keep trying to empathize and prioritize each other and our issues anymore'

while on one hand it should be safe to assume that most idols have gotten some kind of plastic surgery done, on the other hand those before and after videos are sick and straight up comparing pictures of them as teenagers and then as almost 30 year olds

Tv show where a furry gets the opportunity to be sent to a universe of real anthropomorphic beings, but once they get there, instead of a wolf or a some kinda of tiger they turn into like. An anthropomorphic capibara.
And quickly realize there is a beauty standart in this world, in which anthropomorphic animals closer or adjacent to wolfs or cats are seem as beautifull while other are seem as lesser them, with things like plastical surgeries (to get closer to such patterns) and fur implants present in this world.

When it comes to life and love, why do we believe our worst reviews?
When it comes to life and love, why do we believe our worst reviews? We should just admit that we live in a culture that promotes impossible standards of beauty. Its a long article write post cause I’ll be putting out all my opinion tentang kenapa sih kita sering banget kasih review buruk untuk diri kita sendiri, khususnya tentang penampilan. You guys should know, gak perlu ada standar tertentu…

TFP Optimus, in Cybertronian standarts, looks like a super model. This bitch is so beautiful that whenever Megatron sees him his IQ goes down 5 percent. I am sorry but there is no other explanation to the Autobots winning the war this is the best I got.

If i ever meet an alien i want them to draw me - imagine, someone not knowing (or having complitely different then) human biology and beauty standarts drawing a person. Maybe the limbs being too long, maybe the eyes having a predatory gaze (even if u were posing for a second hour, barely not falling asleep) maybe the hair looking different or colors matching ur body temperature
There's also that their forms of art could be different! Maybe instead of sculpting they would put on shiny gems and rocks, maybe instead of drawing with solid graphite they could draw with non drying liquid or making stuff best viewed in 5D?
idk i want to see art perceived in nonhuman way.

Half Moon Manicure Set
@therococoprometheus and I teamed up to bring you a set inspired by 1930's nail polish ads ! On my side of this collab you'll find cc nails perfectly suited for 20's, 30's and 40's looks. Check out @therococoprometheus's side here for nail and beauty related vintage clothes and objects ! More pics and download below
In the West, in the 19th and early 20th century, nails were usually cared for and tinted using faintly colored oils or powders that had to be buffed into the nail to achieve a slightly rosier and shinier look. At least by 1917 there was also "nail white", used to get a whiter nail end. Indeed the sought after look in the late 10's and 20's was a pink shiny nails with light contrasting sole and ends. The white nail ends as a beauty standart was pretty classist as it was initially a way to show you didn't belong to the manual laborers (...or at least give the appearance of it) who usually had to dirty their hands (and nails) at work. When liquid nail polish became more widely available in the 20's, this look was emulated by applying the polish solely to the middle of the nail in a crescent shape, and such giving us the half moon manicure an iconic style sported by about every fashionable lady from the late 20s to the late 30s. By the 40's, the half moon manicure started to decline in popularity, the most fashionable looks being either fully painted nails or a version of the half moon manicure with painted ends. By then longer nails were also more popular as can be seen on the likes of Rita Hayworth or Marlene Dietrich. Those nail polishes were quite shiny and a bit sheer so I tried my best to replicate these characteristics in my own cc. The color palette for these cc nails is also directly taken from old nail polish ads.
————————  Short Almond Nails  ————————
Tumblr media
———————————————————————————
These nails with their short and oval shape fit the style most popular in the 20s especially in their (20's) half moon manicure version. Though they could also suit later decade for a shorter more work friendly nail especially in the 40s and solid version.
3 versions : 20s half moon, 40s half moon and solids
for each : 1 bare swatch and 47 colored ones
only available for adults
male and female frame versions

————————— Long Almond Nails ————————
Tumblr media
———————————————————————————
In the 30's longer and pointier nails became more fashionable and as such these long almond nails in their half moon versions would be perfect for a 30's look. They would also fit perfectly in the 40's in either their solid or 40's half moon version.
3 versions : 30s half moon, 40s half moon and solids
for each : 1 bare swatch and 47 colored ones
only available for adults
male and female frame versions

—————————— Coffin Nails ——————————

———————————————————————————
Such long nails would not suit 20s or early 30's looks, but would be perfect for 40s or late 30s.
2 versions : 40s half moon and solids
for each : 1 bare swatch and 47 colored ones
only available for adults
male and female frame versions

————————  Short Rounded Nails ————————
Tumblr media
———————————————————————————
Short nails have always been around as they are quite practical at all times but I couldn't fit the half moon design on these in a satisfactory manner so enjoy these nails in a bare (timeless) and solid (40s and up) swatches.
1 bare swatch and 47 solid coloured swatches
only available for adults
male and female frame versions
