Hello!

My name is Rita and I am an aspiring author and my goal for this year is to finally finish my draft for my first book in my Creation of Magic universe. Here are my aspirations/manifestations and a bit on how I will be achieving them.

Firstly, i want to track my progress, frustrations and everything I’ve been doing for this novel via social media. Tumblr is my first and best pick because it already has the audience I’m looking for. Hopefully, I’ll be able to expand to other platforms before I start promoting my book. If you stumble across my blog give me a follow to encourage this series! I am also a small artist as well and will occasionally create art for my characters, particular scenes, etc., for my series. Overall, I am very excited to use this platform to push my passion project and hopefully become the fantasy author I strive to see.

Secondly, I am a college student! Currently in my last semester in school and will be starting grad school soon so updates will be sporadic but I hope to follow through with them. Outside of my main series, I am also an experienced fan fiction author and I hope to get back into that hobby as well—or at least use the skills I learned there to apply it here.

I know this is a huge goal, most people don’t make it big in the writing industry and that especially so for minorities, people of color, and queer stories. However, I have seen so much success recently with this community that I would be distraught if I did not try to push myself towards something greater. I cannot wait to show you all what I have to offer and hopefully, you love them as much as I do.

Releasing this story means the world to me, because I conquered my fear of writing romance. In the past, I have written slight romance here and there, but it's hardly been the focus. Even when I wanted it to be the focus, I would get caught up in the side plot; which later became a main plot. Or, the romance was so rushed it was absurd. So, I ignored romance for a while. After experimenting a little with Magic Prep, I realized that romance isn’t so scary.
