A/N: Not gonna lie guys when I initially wrote this chapter, I had the worst writers block and I ended up deleting it all last night and starting it over (which produced this) but I am so excited with where its headed. This chapter is somewhat filler content, but I promise I am putting some things into motion for later! I know I write this literally every fic, but I appreciate you all so much for loving this story and I am so overwhelmed with the support it has gotten. Last night seemed like a dream.

I woke up to bright light streaming through my window, my indication that the sun was already high in the sky. I guess I had slept far longer than I meant to. I stretch out my limbs, the events of last night returning to my memory as I looked at my night table where I had conveniently placed Iremia. I remembered then that it was real. Azriel and Elain were engaged. Engaged. I bring my hands to rub the sleep from my eyes, dragging them down my face and letting out a sigh. I could stay in bed all day and wallow in self-pity, but I decided that I wouldn’t continue to let them have so much control over my life, I would continue to heed Nesta and Lucien’s advice. With that decided, I take a quick bath and get dressed before heading to the dining room to find something to eat.

I entered the room surprised to find Nesta sitting in her usual position, Cassian next to her holding her hand and rubbing gentle circles along the back of it while they spoke.

“Good morning” I announce as I take my seat across from them

“Morning y/n” Cassian says while piling more food onto his plate

“So?” Nesta asked as I piled eggs, bacon, and bread with jam on my plate.

“So?” I repeat back to her, I know that she wants details about last night but I’m going to at least make her be direct about it.

“How did it go?” She clarifies, at this Cassian looks between the two of us clearly also wanting to hear the details.

“I couldn’t do it Nes, not after the announcement” she rolled her eyes but let me continue “It’s just the timing didn’t seem right, and I know I know you’re going to say the timing will never be right, but Nes you didn’t see him. He looked so happy, so carefree, and the last thing I wanted to do was ruin it by dropping this bombshell on him.”

“Look y/n, I love you and I will support you with whatever you decide to do.”

“I feel like a -but- is coming” I interject

“but-” she continues with one of her signature looks. “Don’t you think it would be worse to wait? That it will only be a bigger deal if they actually go through with getting married? Maybe it would hurt everyone involved less if you told them before planning and preparations are made? I mean he deserves to make an informed decision about what to do about the bond”

“I don’t know Nes.” I look to Cassian who is silently eating his breakfast “wait a second- what do you mean actually go through with getting married? Do you think they won’t go through with it?”

“All I know is that Feyre and Rhys are preparing for the worst-case scenario. I mean she is a mated female and if Lucien wanted to, he could invoke a blood duel as per Autumn Court tradition. Not to mention tension among the courts is still fragile after the treaty business last year.”

“Lucien wouldn’t do that; he doesn’t see mated females as his property in that way.” I said “Also, he isn’t technically an Autumn Court male anymore. He is the high lord apparent of the Day Court.”

“Regardless of his court standing, he is still her mate. He also has the strongest of relationships with the human realm and I don’t know if Rhys and Feyre are prepared to lose an asset like him due to Elain’s need to rebel.” She said matter of factly.

“What do you think Cass?” I asked the male.

He went still a moment, his brows furrowing as though he was debating what exactly to say in this situation. “I think that Nes has a point, I mean the longer you wait the more people may get hurt by the news and I think that he deserves to know; he has been infatuated with the idea of mates since we were younger and I don’t know what changed his mind, but I think he is just looking for commitment and Elain is looking to rebel, and they just found each other. I also stand by my previous statement during training, I love him dearly, he is my brother, but gods damn is he an idiot sometimes.”

I can’t help but laugh at his statement. “I’ll consider it” I look between the two of them “I promise I will think about it, and I’ll talk to Rhys and Feyre to see what they think.”

The couple nodded as we continued with breakfast. We switched the conversation to training and general news. Once we had finished, we went our separate ways. I thought a lot about what they had said and sent a note to find the high lord and lady and ask for their advice with this whole thing. I immediately got a response that appeared in Rhysand’s elegant script offering to winnow me to the River House this afternoon to meet them in his office. I immediately accepted sending the magical paper back to its sender and decided to indulge myself in a book until the meeting time.

I hadn’t realized how many hours had passed until the high lord materialized in the library. I put my book on a nearby table and offered a simple greeting. Rhys held out his arm which I took without hesitation, the familiar pulling sensation taking over as we winnowed directly to the high lord’s office. When we arrived, I turned to find Feyre entering the room with Nyx. The little prince reaching his arms out. I hadn’t noticed before, but his wings were getting stronger, and he was gaining some control over them as he flapped them in an attempt to launch himself into his father’s waiting arms.

“Hey y/n” the high lady said handing Nyx to her mate who beamed at the boy now securely in his embrace.

“So, to what do we owe the pleasure” Rhysand asked, Feyre simply nodded in agreement.

“Well, you know that I love you both, and that I value your opinion.” The two nodded listening intently “After Solstice, after the engagement, I think I am just looking for some advice about what to do about Azriel. You know whether I should still tell him about the bond or just leave it alone. I talked to Cassian and Nesta earlier and now I’m asking you what you think.”

The two look at each other, silently communicating as they tended to do. Feyre was the one to speak “You know I love my family; I love both of my sisters but there are just so many logistics involved with this whole union. I mean you are Azriel’s mate whether you tell him and whether or not he accepts it and the same goes for Elain, she is welcome to reject the bond with Lucien but to me it seems like she is just running away from the idea altogether.” She took a breath “and Lucien, I mean he is not only my friend but also an ally of this court and he has every right to invoke the blood duel should he want to. its just spiraled, the whole thing from a harmless flirtation to a disaster.” She looked at her mate who gave her a nod of approval.

“Look you two, I don’t know where this idea came from that Lucien is going to challenge Az but he isn’t an Autumn Court male anymore and finds the blood duel repulsive and when has he given any indication that he would do something like that. When he got to the night court, he let Elain have her space and he hasn’t pushed the bond on her. He’s never tried to force anything on her, and he wouldn’t now just because they are engaged.”

“You have a valid point” Feyre said “But the whole reason you came here was to ask our opinion on your situation. I think both Rhys and I agree that you should still tell him. I mean had he not proposed, you would have told him at the solstice party. We think that he deserves to have all the information before he makes a big decision like this, like marriage.”

I nod my head as she speaks, her words echoing that of Cassian and Nesta’s from this morning. “I guess I have a lot to think about”

“Look, no matter what happens just know we are here for you to help you through this” Rhysand says breaking his silence.

“I’m scared” I admit to them

“Well look at it this way” Feyre begins “at least you will be the one to tell him and not a Suriel” she gives Rhys a mischievous look as he grins

“I was going to tell you…eventually” he said “The Suriel just got to you first AND I was gravely injured if you recall”

Feyre let out a laugh, pressing a kiss to his lips and to Nyx’s forehead. “I think it is all going to work out y/n”

I let out a long breath “Okay, well now that that is settled, hand me that baby because I need time with my nephew”

Rhys grins handing Nyx to me, I bounce the babe on my knees and enjoy some family time with the three of them for the remainder of the night.

It had been a month since my conversations with Nesta and Feyre about what to do and I was still no closer to a decision. I had even gone as far as making pro and con lists which were scattered across my desk with various reasons why I should tell him, and why I shouldn’t. Reason number one being that they seemed so happy. Just yesterday they had announced that they intended to marry a week after Starfall, which was only a few months away.

I continued thinking about my reasons as I got ready for the day. I was going to be helping Gwyn with research in the library today. I had to admit I was excited to spend the day surrounded by books and to be around Gwyn, I had been so busy with the new developments with Azriel that I had neglected time with my friend, and I intended to make up for it.

I was putting on my shoes in a chair in the corner of my bedroom when I heard a rustling on my desk. I looked over as a letter appeared on top of a pile of other correspondence, my name scrawled across the front with handwriting I immediately recognized. I jumped up from my position taking the letter in my hands as I tore open the envelope and couldn’t help the smile on my face as I read it.

My Dearest Y/N,

I hope you are doing well. I have found myself missing your company in the past weeks since my relocation to my father’s court. I have been keeping busy, learning the history of the court, and enjoying the vast library, it really is unmatched. I think you would love it. No, I know you would love it here. Anyways, what updates do you have from the Night Court? I take it everyone is well. I’m sure it has been hard on you these weeks since the engagement and I want to remind you that you have a friend, a friend who happens to know exactly what you’re going through and one that has come to care greatly for you. please remember that you always have a place in my court should you need to escape.

I made myself a mental note to send a response as I checked the time realizing I was late and made my way downstairs to the library.

I was immediately greeted by Gwyn, the red head smiling at me in one of her big genuine smiles, her eyes sparkling with the gesture, and she pulled me into a tight hug. “Oh, I have missed you so much y/n” she says

“I missed you too Gwyn”

“Okay you have so much to catch me up on” she says practically bouncing with excitement over our girl talk today which we did between tasks for Clotho and finding some research for another priestess Gwyn is helping. I told her everything, I needed another opinion about what to do from someone not currently in a mating bond. Someone who might understand my reservations a little better.

“How do you feel about it all?” she asks as we work on reshelving books in the lower levels.

“I feel…” I take a breath “I don’t know I guess I feel conflicted, on one hand I want him to know maybe for my own benefit, but I mean is it fair of me to just make this choice for him? What if he feels like Elain? Like the bond is a burden he wants to run from? I don’t know if I can deal with that kind of rejection. On the other hand, I don’t tell him and continue my life like it is now and let him continue his life that he chose with Elain but what if one day it snaps for him and he wants to explore it, but they have a life, maybe a family? I am just confused and scared, and I don’t know what to do. The consensus has been that I need to tell him and that’s what I am leaning towards, but I just don’t know Gwyn.”

“I think that the only person who can decide what to do is you.” the priestess says “I mean you get all this advice about what’s fair for him. But what is fair to you?”

I was pondering over her words when suddenly a note materialized on the cart. I recognized the script immediately and for a moment I forgot how to breathe.

Meet me on the roof

“What do you think he wants?” I ask

“Only one way to find out” she says “I think you should figure out what you want y/n, I think you two should figure out if you’re even compatible before you decide. Maybe spend time with him without the influence of other people, just you two to see how you interact. Maybe it’ll help you to make your decision. Remember that mating bonds were initially put in place by the mother for prime breeding benefits, we live in a modern world and maybe it’s an antiquated concept now”

“Thanks Gwyn” I said pulling the female into another hug “I guess I have somewhere to be”

“Good luck” she says disappearing behind a bookshelf, continuing with her work. I take a deep breath and make my way upstairs.

I couldn’t help the thoughts running through my head as I made my way up to the roof, the most dominant one being what If he knows. I try to not look concerned as I open the door, the sunlight catching me off guard for a moment as I make out his figure in our usual spot, sitting on the edge of the roof with his legs dangling over the side. His wings looking powerful and poised behind him.

His shadows immediately slither over to greet me, as they do, he turns from his position to look at me approaching. “Hey y/n” he says patting the empty space next to him.

I carefully set myself down beside him, hoping he can’t hear how loud my heart is beating. After a moment of silence, I manage to say “So, why did you ask me here?”

“To be honest…I’m not really sure” He says “I feel like you are one of the only people I can really talk to you know. The others, I love them, and they are my family, but I know they don’t approve of me right now.”

“Don’t approve of you why?”

“I know they have reservations about me and Elain. I mean months ago Rhys cornered me in his office and basically told me to stay away from her, and now we’re engaged. I know he and Feyre are probably figuring out the logistics of it all, you know because she is mated to Lucien.”

“I may have heard something like that from them.” I say “Can I just ask you why, if you know how your family feels and you have these reservations then why go through it”

“I think I’m in love with her”

“This seems like a lot of trouble for you think, I mean if you are going to vow to spend your life with someone shouldn’t you know you love them?” I asked him.

“I think that conversation we had a few weeks ago has really stuck with me, you know about mates. I can’t help but feel nostalgic. I spent hundreds of years certain I would find my mate and then I gave up on it and decided to try things with Elain and maybe I feel guilty. Because if I were in Lucien’s position, I would hate the male and I would be in absolute hell watching my mate fall in love with and intend to marry someone else.”

“I know Lucien doesn’t hate you, he may dislike you because of his instincts but he trusts Elain to make her own decisions. He would never force her to accept the bond or choose him unless it is what she truly wanted.”

“You talk with Lucien?” he asks, looking over at me, his eyes meeting mine.

“Of course, I mean we’re friends and have been for some time now”

“I guess I didn’t notice”

“There are a lot of things you don’t notice” I say quietly under my breath.

“What was that?” he asks

“Oh nothing” I reply, “but Az if you feel guilty you can pull out you know. You don’t have to go through with any of this if you feel that way.”

“I know, its just” he pauses taking a deep breath “I don’t think anyone else would love me, maybe this is it. Maybe this is my one chance at some kind of happiness”

“I don’t think the universe works that way Az” he looks at me “Besides there are plenty of people who love you, myself included”

“I know that y/n, I just feel like I’m making a huge mistake, every instinct is screaming that this is wrong, and I can’t shake it.”

“I should give you Iremia, seems like you could use the tranquility” I say jokingly

“That’s what you named it? The dagger?” he asked

I nod my head in confirmation “Yeah, I figured I could use a little calm in my life so why not”

“It’s a great name” he says.

“Look Az, maybe you should call off the wedding if you are having these doubts. No one would blame you for taking the time to think about it, this is the rest of your life you are talking about, and you should be sure you want to spend it with Elain. Especially if you’re having such strong doubts.”

“I just don’t want to hurt anyone” he says softly

“I know the feeling” I say bringing my eyes down to look at my hands.

“Y/n?” he says my name softly, almost a whisper and I turn my head to face him. He is looking at me and his eyes met mine, and I noticed them drift lower before his gaze is resting on my lips. My breath became caught in my throat. Was he going to kiss me? I thought as his mouth parted slightly, his breath becoming uneven as he began to lean into me.

“Az?” A soft voice said interrupting the moment.

“Elain” he said quickly, practically jumping away from me and making his way over to her placing a kiss to her temple “What are you doing up here?” he asked her.

“We have dinner plans…remember?” she replied, “I figured I would save you a trip by coming here.” She looked over at me, I was rising from the mat “Hello y/n” she said politely

I immediately felt embarrassed and fought the redness rising on my face as I gave her a nonchalant greeting back.

“Thanks for the talk y/n” Azriel says “I’ll see you in training tomorrow”

I give them both a small smile as they depart his shadows swirling as he winnows them away. The conversation runs over again in my head. Did he suspect something? Was he going to kiss me? Would I have let him?

I make my way downstairs to my room to change before dinner with the Inner Circle, minus Elain and Azriel who apparently had other plans for the evening. My thoughts no clearer than they were this morning.

Once bathed and changed I made it to the dining room to find it already full of people. Nesta and Cass were in their usual seats as were Feyre, Rhys, Nyx, Mor, and even Amren to my surprise. I took up my seat across from Nesta and began to fill my plate.

The conversation was normal, mostly updates about Nyx and about the Valkyries training about new developments in the Hewn city and general news. Until Feyre cleared her throat drawing my attention. “So, y/n, what is new on the Azriel front?” she tried to sound nonchalant about it, but the air was thick with tension.

“Here we go” I said rolling my eyes as I prepared for the same speech I had gotten for weeks from them about how I needed to do the right thing and tell him and basically just get it over with.

“Clearly you have all made your opinions on the matter known. So why don’t you all just tell me what to do.” I look around the room meeting their gaze, my tone elevating as I continued “If anyone has an idea of how I should better deal with this please let me know because I feel like I am losing my mind.” My voice breaks but I take a deep breath and continue. “I know what you all think about it, but it isn’t your decision to make. If and when I tell him about this it will be on MY terms.”

“We just want to help you” Feyre says softly.

“As if any of you can help me, as if any of you can fathom what it’s like. Except you Rhys, but only briefly because it worked out in your favor. What would you all suggest I do hmm? Oh, wait you have all already told me what you think. Why do I need to rush and make a decision like this just because you all have an opinion about it?”

“y/n-” Nesta begins, but I cut her off.

“Because on one hand, I tell him about the bond and ruin any chance of happiness he has built for himself. On the other I don’t say a word, and one day the bond may snap for him, and he resents me for not telling him. Oh, and not to mention the other important piece here, Elain. You all would have me be the villain that steps in to ruin her wedding, to ruin a choice she made, a choice they both made. I can’t do that. No, actually I won’t do that.”

“But y/n-” Cassian began

“There is no but, that is all there is to it Cass. Either way I lose” the others look down at their hands, mulling over what I said.

“I’m going to bed” I announce, getting up from the table and making my way to my bedroom. I hear their hushed voices arguing as I make my way up the stairs, I do my best to block it out.

Once making it to my room, I close the door softly behind me and make my way to my desk. I take deep steadying breaths trying to ignore the feeling of being suffocated, of being forced into something so serious. I turn my head and catch a glimpse of Lucien’s last letter. I look it over again, suddenly getting an idea.

I grab a piece of parchment, and a pen and scrawl out a quick reply before losing my nerve.

Dearest Lucien,

I am doubtful of my ability to remain here surrounded by happy mated couples. Watching Elain and Azriel plan their wedding is torture. Getting advice from people who know nothing of what I am going through is torture and to be honest I miss you more than I can express. So, how soon can I visit? I feel that some time away would do me good. I need to figure out what my life is without him, who I am without him. Perhaps you can help with that.

this is a very old ask but yeah!

So, in my head, f!Cell had short hair because Prison. But after getting therapy and stuff, he's decided to distance himself as much as possible from his past in various ways, including growing his hair out. That way it's harder to see Cell every time he looks in the mirror

He is. Cat. :D

In my head, he had a rough childhood between the literal war (the Hunger Games video w/ Bad) and then alter prison and everything. It's why he tries so hard with Richarlyson, he wants his son to grow up to be a better man than Cellbit ever could be

His eyes lowkey glow in the dark. Cat things, yk?

He used to write "R+C" in a little heart on the side of his notes when he got too daydream-y during his Felps Investigation Days.

To be clear, he still does it now, but he's much more obvious about it so he can try and see Roier's reactions

He and Forever got married on the ship with Felps marrying them. It was halfway a joke, but then, whoops, it was a legitimate marriage because Felps did it.

He's the type of guy to criticize how fake horror movies are, like "cutting that hand off would NOT make him bleed like that, totally unrealistic smh" or "the devil would never respond to a pentagram like that wtf immersion ruined"

He's really bad at word searches. Meanwhile Roier is really good at them, but he's bad at crosswords

Man's got an off switch. If you pet his hair in just the right spot, he'll melt, essentially shutting him off. Perfect for nights where he just won't sleep :D

And now some q!Roier headcanons

He was 100% an only child before coming to the island

He isn't a spider hybrid, but he does have Spider-Man powers

This is because he is quite literally that universe's Spider-Man variant (poor Miguel trying to get ahold of him and failing lol)

But after getting to the island his powers kinda... shut off, much like how q!Philza canonically had his wings trimmed without him knowing. It was hard to get used to, but now that he has his grappling hook, Roier is much happier

He's taller than Cellbit by a only few inches, though it looks more exaggerated because Cellbit is hunched over a lot

He was in his high school's improv club, but he got kicked out

He skateboards, but he's really bad at tricks

He and Jaiden still sit down once every few weeks so he can preen her wings. It's Bonding Time

He does a lot of photography (He's Peter Parker, guys!!!) and his favorite subjects rn are Richarlyson and Cellbit and Jaiden

His og family from off the island was pretty distant with him, so he's very attached to the family he's got now, but he doesn't quite know what to do with the affection he gets in return

He can do a standing backflip, and he will do so, and this is a threat

Prince-recently-turned-King Arthur has a problem. You see, the royal family of a nearby kingdom, Lindania, have just made arrangements to come for a diplomatic visit. This, in itself, is a good thing. What causes the problem in this whole situation is the Princess of Lindania, Princess Leora.

Princess Leora, ever since they'd first met, has continuously attempted to woo Arthur with every meeting since. Not to mention the occasional letters.

Arthur's excuse not to court the woman has always been that he was waiting until he became King before pursuing a relationship of any kind.

Now he's King, meaning he's lost his last line of defense against Leora, and she's coming to visit in only a handful of weeks.

Luckily for Arthur, he has one more trick up his sleeve.

Arthur fixes him with a look and it takes all of three seconds before Merlin visibly deflates. He even lets out a breath as his shoulders sag and he sinks into his chair.

“You know I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t important,” he says petulantly. “Care to tell me what it is, then?” Arthur asks dryly.

Merlin fingers a deep scratch on the table and Arthur thinks that it was probably because of something else stupid Merlin did. “It’s about Cenred.”

“Don’t be a bloody idiot,” Q snorted unattractively. Bond, amused, filed away this propensity for sleepy swearing as something to remember. “What is it? That’s a text alert, not a perimeter alarm. Nightmare, then? Damn you double-ohs and your issues, I swear to god.” He lifted his arm in invitation.

“Q, I don’t think —”

“The window’s open and I’m cold,” Q insisted.

Bond sat on the edge of the bed and finished the last finger of his drink with a quick swallow. He had no idea if Q was hinting that they needed to keep up their pretense due to the open window, or if he really was just cold. Either way, Bond wasn’t a man to deny himself what small pleasures he could take from this wretched life, so he slid under the covers and tugged Q on top of him until their legs were tangled and Q’s head rested on his shoulder.

I'll Never Let You Go

It's the third time. The third time Wes and Jon tried to say 'i do', and things turned into a disaster again.

The first time was Lex Luthor dropping the bomb (figuratively) on Superman and Jon that he had cloned Clark, and was hiding the kid below a kryptonite bomb (literally), for fun. That of course put the wedding off. And to be honest, Wes was glad that time. Everything felt too showy. Star City's mayor and IT Goddess' foster son set to marry into Metropolis reporting dynasty.

The second time they almost got hitched, they got all the way to the alter before a time worm ate half of Central City... He's blaming that one on Barry Allen.

And now here they are. It was supposed to be a small gathering just friends and family. But of course nothing can go right for them.

He's sitting in the bunker as Q finishes up the sutures on his right shoulder. He's telling him how to apply the balm to take care of it, and Wes should listen, otherwise he'll be left with one hell of a scar. But he can't seem to focus on anything.

Not when the image of Adrian was burned into his mind, kryptonite arrow knocked in place aiming for Jon and Lanie. His family.

The man had destroyed the city, killed his mother, and tried time and again to hurt the only people who had been willing to take him in, and now he threatened the family Wes had built for himself.

Without thinking he stepped in the way, taking the arrow straight into his shoulder. Lanie screamed, Jon reached for him but was pulled back by the other supers. It took Clark, Mon-El, Kara, and Allie to hold him still. And Wes broke watching. The one thing that could keep them apart his father used against them. And it felt like darkness across his heart.

"That's all of it," Q said as he pressed the bandage in place. "But I still want you to come in to the clinic next week for a follow up."

"Thanks doc," he quipped, trying to press a smile to his face. It's how he dealt with things when Adrian came into it. But Q's gaze told him he wasn't quite done.

"As someone with a psychotic father figure," he started but Wes cut him off.

"Don't okay," he sighed. "We can trauma bond later, but right now I can't okay?"

"That's fair."

He needed to talk to Jon, apologize for all that happened. Wes needed him to know that if this was too much, if he needed time to process Adrian being back, they could postpone again. As much as that thought broke his heart.

As if he sensed Wes' thoughts, Jon came over to them, the nervousness radiating off him in waves

"All good?" He asked, and while the question was directed at Quincy, Wes could tell Jon was talking mostly to him.

"Clear of kryptonite," Q replied. "Ronnie and HD took it off site to analyze the composite and see if we can figure out how zombie Chase got a hold of it."

"Zombie Chase?" Wes raised a brow.

Q shrugged. "Seemed shorter than recently resurrected evil dad." He looked between the two of them. " I'm gonna go go see if anyone else needs patched up."

Wes wished he hadn't left so abruptly, wanting to find a way to ease into the conversation he desperately didn't want to have with Jon. It's like he could feel the ground beneath him start to crumble. He wanted to reach out, to hold on to the life he'd been trying to build, even for just a second longer.

"I'm sorry--" "I wanna talk..."

Their words mixed and tangled together and Wes felt like his heart would crack.

"Wait?" Jon looked at him perplexed. "Why are you apologizing?"

"Because my father shot at you with the only thing on this planet that could kill you."

Jon shook his head leaning in until their foreheads pressed together. Wes breathed in the scent of hay and the aftershave Jon had been wearing since they met all those years ago. Before Wes knew he'd fall so hard for the Smallville farm boy that he felt the earth would implode on itself if anyone tried to hurt him.

"You stepped in the way," it sounded accusatory.

"He was gonna kill you."

"And he *almost* killed you," Jon pleaded. His lips dusting a kiss on Wes' cheek .

"I had to protect you and Lanie," he replied. "You two are everything to me."

The longest of silences passed before Jon spoke. "Marry me."

Wes shifted to meet Jon's eyes. His love looked as if nothing could shake his resolve.

"Kinda been tryna do that for a few months now, if you hadn't noticed?"

He shook his dark locks. "Not a month from now when we rebook a venue. Not after we pick beef or chicken or new flowers. Now. Right here, right now. Everyone I need to be there is right here. So I don't want to wait. I wanna be with you forever Wes, so let's get married."

So in the end they weren't wearing pristine tuxes, and Lanie's hair wasn't in a braid crown atop her head. They didn't have speeches or rehearsed vows, but what they did have was even more special.

They had Oliver do the ceremony and shared a hostess cupcake that Lanie insisted on the biggest bite of. And they laughed when the cream filling covered the bridge of her nose.

It wasn't grand or spectacular. But in the end, it turns out, they didn't need all those things. Not when the end result was the three of them finally being the family they had always longed for.

to "anonymous" March 16. Noda has denied himself many times. Ogata's own storyline was debunked and ignored so much that all doubts and "mysteries" of his character were abandoned by leaving him to die. ultimately Golden Kamuy ends up with Sugimoto and Asirpa staying together. and this is a fact that he can deny as much as he wants but it's there

At this point I'm not really sure what went on with Noda and GK.

Very early in GK we've Huci asking Sugimoto to marry Asirpa.

Noda though, said, until the end, that Asirpa wasn't meant to be seen in a sexual way, because she's young and because he's uncomfortable when women are seen like that...

Noda: I wanted to make absolutely sure that Asirpa would not be seen in a sexual way, by either the readers or the other characters. There’s a lot of perverts in the story, to be sure, but I didn’t want her to sway in that direction. Her being a young girl is part of it, but I was always uncomfortable with women being shown explicitly sexualized to begin with. ...and that she had a crush on Sugimoto, but that their relationship wasn't romantic.

Q: The relationship between Sugimoto and Asirpa could only be described as “partners”, with no romantic elements, until the end. Did you plan to keep it like that since the very beginning, or was it a natural development?

Noda: I decided from the very beginning that I would not show Sugimoto and Asirpa as romantically involved in the end. Asirpa’s crush felt natural for the character so I included it, and since it was related to the later events, it was part of my calculations. However he deliberately set the relationship between Umeko and Sugimoto to fail right from the start so that Sugimoto could stay in Hokkaido with Asirpa.

Noda: If Umeko had not remarried and her eyes weren’t healed, the story would have needed a few more chapters, which, considering that it was post-climax, would have made it drag on needlessly. The reason for that is Toraji told Sugimoto to get together with Umeko before dying, and he is not the kind of guy who could have ignored that and return to Hokkaido with Asirpa. Besides, Umeko remarrying has been hinted towards at a few points throughout the story, so it was a foregone conclusion. [Noda’s interview for Yomiuri online paper translation courtesy of @piduai]

Where all this lead us to?

Well, clearly as far as Noda is involved, he believes he ended up GK with Sugimoto and Asirpa not being together in a romantic situation.

Asirpa, after all, should be around 16 when the final chapter takes place and, even if back then she was considered of marriageable age (and, if I'm not wrong, girls of 16 can marry in Japan if they parents allow it), she's still awfully young.

However they don't have a father/daughter relation, Noda himself describes them as 'partners' (相棒 'Aibō').

The volume version includes a scene in which Sugimoto admits to himself he previously was never able to truly acknowledge Asirpa as such but now that she has (attempted) to kill Ogata, he believes she's the one who will fall with him in hell (it's a tentative translation, I'll have to wait till June for the official translation in my country as Vol 30 was just released and for much, much longer to check the English translation) which seems to imply he finally sees her as his partner.

So now of course a part of the fandom can speculate that, although Sugimoto has such a close bond with Asirpa and she has a crush on him that lead her to go so far for him, she'll always be friendzoned to him. I personally hope so.

However many of us come from years of seeing manga/anime set up those situations to imply that, ultimately, the two people involved will become romantic partners in the future, which is why a part of the fandom feels like we got a SugiRipa ending, regardless of the two not being yet in a romantic relation. We feel like it's just the next step, the one that's not shown but that we're meant to figure on our own. From what I know, many didn't like this implication, many wanted Noda to just deny any possible implication Sugimoto might end with Asirpa, which could have been conveniently done if Sugimoto were to remain with Umeko... or were to marry Umeko and then move to Hokkaido with her.

Actually, even leaving Shiraishi to live with them would have helped to give more the impression they were a group of friends than showing them together, going back to Huci's home.

So who says the ending isn't a SugiRipa one isn't technically wrong, as the two aren't together... but who feels the ending is a SugiRipa one isn't wrong either, because the ending seems to hint that's how the characters will end in the future and Noda is old enough to know that's how it would be perceived as he too should have seen plenty of such implications in other stories.

As who read this blog knows, I hated the idea the story could end pairing them up from day one. I hate the implication this could be their future even if, by then, Asirpa will be older.

So I'm not happy with the ending, not even when Noda says they aren't together right then, because that's not where that ending seems to lead.

I won't even go into how unhappy I am with the handling of Ogata, or of Koito, Tsukishima, Tanigaki, Tsurumi and so on because I've already discussed way too much about it.

Which is what had lead me to pull out of the GK world. I still have lovely memories of the first 2/3 of the story and I like to talk about some parts of it but... that's it.

So if you also are displeased with how he was handled, I fear we're on the same boat.

Said so, I'm happy for who's instead happy with how the story was handled. At each it's own, I guess, just let's respect people's views on it and remember everyone if you see something you don't like the back button and block button are your friends.

He can be affectionate but it's really behind closed doors. He doesn't really show his vulnerable side in public.

He would be the best friend who always has your back and would get you little things. He always remember what you like. It would start by you going up to and asking him for help on your work.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

He likes cuddling, especially when he spoons you from the back and just wraps his whole body around you.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

He does want to settle down. He can decently cook but nothing special. He can also clean.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

He would sit you down and talk with you about why he is dumping you.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

He prefers to get married to someone he has a strong bond with. He will always be committed to his partner.

Oh, this is truly difficult because I'm mostly obsessed with tid&tlh so I'll say thomastair, blackdale and wessa (I also like other ships but perhaps I'm not as obsessed the way I am with them because I prefer the historical side of tsc). Each has a special place in my heart and they make me believe in love and makes me smile like an idiot <3 and I just love that they have in common the love for books. They're all bookish in different ways.

Jesse and Alastair are friends and they bonded over their mutual interest for mundane/political events and critical analysis of books no one seems to know

Will's fashion sense gets weirder as he gets older and Tessa loves to give him little accessories to match his suits

Thomas and Alastair love discovering new music together and sometimes Alastair is inspired to compose new melodies because of this (but he only shares them with Thomas)

Lucie and Jesse go on a trip to the US a few years after canon (and they're married) so she can research for her books. I believe they would really like the New Orleans vibes

All of them surely meet at James and Cordelia's house to play board games and eat together

5. Fav shadowhunter ship to write and why?

This is hard, because I obviously like to write them all, and they are different so there are different sides to explore in each. Maybe I'll say Thomastair because I really like their trope grumpy/sunshine. It's challenging to write :)

Since we still don't know a lot of the couples, I'm excited for the Wessa story. I really want to see them being all happy and young before they had their kids, and I think Cassandra wrote something cute and fluffy that will make us go awwww!

I couldn't order any tier, sadly 🥲 because of some irl problems. But I hope someone will post some of the stories because I want to read them!

I love this idea! And I love Downton, so I'm up for it :) tbh I started a long Ghostwriter fic a few months ago, maybe I could continue that one and incorporate more historical things and such. I already did a sorta outline but I'm soooo slow so I need to organize things before I can post a few chapters of that (I always have too many ideas at once and I need to prioritize lol)

Q & A: Define 'Softy'

Tanel asks: I feel like i asked it somewhere, but i am not sure.. Does Windlifter think that Blade is sexy AF and visa versa?

To answer your first thing, it was a question on Sharatrap's Q and A that I know of. And, headcanon wise....ehhhhh not really? I mean, we all know the both of them are sexy fucks, but as to them thinking that of one another, its almost completely irrelevant to them - they've never been romantic towards each other, even though in Emergency they've escalated to "old married couple" in terms of conversation.

Now, that isn't to say they don't admire one another. Blade has always looked up to Windlifter like a guiding force, and someone he feels can be a safe space to speak out about personal matters. Windlifter, in turn, thinks highly of his chief, and would do all in his power to take care of him if need arises. They've spent hard nights together, and in those times they've bonded like brothers.

You've heard the saying 'birds of a feather'? Well these two are more like chopps' of a rotor. And they flock together.

Sharatrap123 asks: Is Blade a softy :3?

I have no idea under what context this even is, so I'll just try to cover the broadband of "everything".

In terms of emotional vulnerability (which I think is really what this question meant XD) kind of, it depends. So, Blade has a soft core; however, years and years and years and years of heartache and loss, and then trying to be a firefighter and train a crew, has made him build up shell after shell around it until, outwardly, he's got a heart made of steel. But, if course, there's ways to break through all those layers! ;)

In terms of physical appearance...I mean, his sponsons only act as extensions of his landing gear, so equivalent to his hips....so he may not be soft, but damn he thicc. *I'm getting angry glares, guys help me I might die*

And lastly, kind of an extension of the first point, Blade has a soft spot for:

Going from the members who need the least amount of coffee, we have: Windlifter (he actually doesn’t drink coffee, he has a regular habit of instead drinking herbal teas and such); Patch and Pinecone, who’ve both picked up on the tea habits (well, on frequent occasion, but not always); Avalanche and Drip who are both banned from having more than two spoons of sugar in their mugs; Blackout who forgets where he leaves his mug all the time; Dynamite and Dusty, who both have “normal” takings; Dipper who’s a sugar-addict; Blade who ends up drinking coffee at night (go. The fuck. Ta bed!) ; Maru, who has evil concoctions of coffee and what the team suspects is Redbull (hey, it works when he’s trying to save a team member); and the winner of the coffee-addiction is actually Cabbie, both because he drinks much larger cups than everyone else, and because it takes at least two whole cups to get the old engines firing in the morning.

celia charity brightwell; my personal view on her words in s&p and her character.

okay tbh idk if this has ever been brought up before and tbf i havent looked into it yet because this thought just came so suddenly to me while i was reading ash and quill for like the eighteen billionth time, but can we talk about celia charity whatever her name is brightwell? like can we talk about her bond with her sons being literally non existent. (read more bcs i won’t make u scroll past this post for 2 seconds when u can scroll past it in like a quarter of that time.)

genuinely think about it, celia brightwell is ‘a dutiful mother but never a loving one’ and suddenly this all changes because she’s lost almost all her kids..like i get that we can’t see her inner thoughts or monologue from her or anything, and i understand that she may have been going through her own share of the struggle of fighting back trauma and getting enough strength to do this, but i personally cannot see jess truly forgiving her for what she’s done—or for that matter, what she hasn’t done that so deeply hurt him that in a&q when asked for his mother’s jewels by thomas, jess promptly responds that he’s ‘lucky to have a thief for a friend.’ and when wolfe overhears his schemes with khalila and dario and shows jess that if we would’ve just asked celia charity whats-her-name for the jewels, she would’ve gladly given them over, he has this reaction of just pure anguish and fury; how can wolfe be so sure? how could wolfe understand what he went through, and even more so, how can he just talk about his mother as if she ever truly loved him, cared for him as a mother should, when throughout his eighteen years of living and struggling to keep himself above water from the storm that callum’s made of his life, she’s simply been an entity in his life. there but not present in his life, a shadow. something not physically attainable to hold and ground himself to a reality - and it’s that real sort of reaction from jess who’s just at this point completely given up on the hope of receiving motherly love from this enigma in his life, knowing he probably should give up hope that she’d treat him with any sort of actual care because he knows he’d just be disappointed with the outcome, and yet still holding onto that fragile piece that maybe she could. i personally feel like the end of sword and pen where jess just automatically declares his love for her is so inaccurate and imo so rushed i feel to get a sort of happy ending for the brightwell family. and like i said earlier, we don’t know at all what celia was going through and i understand it would’ve taken time for her to build up the courage to stand up to callum herself, but its so sporadic in the end, so- abrupt, that it seems not really fleshed out enough to truly be something anyone would consider forgiving in the moment, but we’ll give jess benefit of the doubt. he’s still freshly grieving morgan and his twin (i should probably write something ab that too) so maybe his reaction to just immediately cling onto a semblance of love someone from his blood family could offer was more instinctual, more him trying to grasp that feeling that no one in his family could’ve given him up until that point. but even then, even when charity couldn’t stand up to callum and his cruel ways and couldn’t get herself out from under his boot, it didn’t leave her unable to bond with her sons. it didn’t suddenly stop her from getting the chance to at least try and protect them from what she knew was going on, what they were going through. and at the beginning of the series i just assumed she rarely even cared for them, because remember callum only married her for money and power and probably some other toxic and self-centered desire i can’t think of, but when it’s revealed she does care for them, it makes it even more confusing. did she not talk to them in hopes of them just never bonding so she could, at least maybe for a small time, ignore the mistake she’d made of marrying callum and the consequences that came with it, and suddenly when she’s ready to acknowledge those consequences, she comes to jess’ aid? was it for some desire that maybe she could protect them? i just dont get it.

Hi, I've seen you're still doing the character breakdown thing and wondered if you could do one with Nami from AWL/HM DS? :)

Ah, Nami, our soft-spoken wanderer.  She’s often found in nature contemplating various things and her past is a bit of a mystery.  She’s a very curious character and I’m really fond of her.

How I feel about this character: My first exposure to Nami was in Harvest Moon DS.  She struck me as quiet, thoughtful, and a little lonely.  I was also a little intimidated by her because she was much more blunt than the other female characters in general.  I really like her and think that she’s an interesting character with a lot of potential for an extended backstory.  I think that wanderer characters would have some fascinating stories.  I’ve yet to finish wooing her on my file, but she’s probably one of my favorite girls in Forget-Me-Not Valley, if not my favorite.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

Nami x Farmer: I feel like Nami would adjust well to farm life.  She asks the player character about the farm and enjoys the tranquility of it.  Although she doesn’t really help with farm chores in game, I can easily imagine her wanting to be part of it all, eager to give it a try.  She admires the farmer for their independence and their ability to be self-sufficient.

Nami x Muffy: Nami frequenting the bar, Muffy’s disappointment with men that always let her down… Ah, I can imagine an angsty fic where the two fall in love without realizing it and Muffy chases after Nami after she runs out of money and has to leave town.

Nami x Rock: Okay, hear me out, lol.  They spend a lot of time together at the inn.  I think that they could teach each other important lessons about taking responsibility and opening up to others.  I could see Ruby being really happy with this arrangement, as I feel she really sees Nami as a daughter.  It could be one of those cases where opposites attract.  At the very least, it would be really interesting.

Nami x Cody: They both have inquiring minds and creative sides.  I feel like Nami would be really intrigued by Cody’s art and maybe even get involved in creating her own.  It would be really cute if she moved in with him and they had a studio together, creating their own works and maybe even some collaborations.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Nami/Gustafa: I feel like these two have good chemistry and would be great friends.  They both have wonder for the world around them and want to wander and explore.  I think they’d have interesting stories to tell each other.

Nami/Griffin: As a regular at the bar, Nami and Griffin would definitely be seeing each other a lot.  I can see Griffin giving Nami advice when she asks for it and him being a sort of mentor for her.  Meanwhile, I think Nami’s curiosity about the world in general would make for some good conversations.

Nami/Ruby:  I can easily see Ruby taking Nami in as a daughter.  The two get along very well, and Nami is much more grateful for the things Ruby does than her own son.  I can see Nami helping around the inn to earn a little extra money and Ruby giving her free dinners to her favorite tenant.

Nami/Marlin: These two could easily be drinking buddies, venting about their days and just having lots of comfortable silence between the two of them.

Nami/Takakura:  I feel like these two would be good friends, especially if Nami marries the farmer and lives on the property.  I could imagine Takakura teaching her all about animal care and Nami being fascinated by it.  I imagine the bond being a bit of a father/daughter one.

My unpopular opinion about this character

I’m going to duck and cover as I say this, but I feel like Nami x Gustafa feels forced in the games.  Gustafa seems perfectly happy doing his own thing, and while I feel that they could spend some quality time together, I have a hard time imagining it as romantic.  Honestly, I think Cody would be a much better partner for her.  Gustafa and Cody do have similar qualities such as creativity and a pure wonder when it comes to appreciating the world around them, but Cody is a little more introverted and soft spoken.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

I really liked Nami’s interactions with Ruby at the inn, and I was hoping that her and Rock would become closer and be good influences on each other.  Now, before you ask me how Rock can be a good influence on anyone, he can teach her that it’s okay to rely on people sometimes, and also how to speak up for herself and have more confidence in general.  I feel like her independence can also be a good thing, though, and she’d have a lot to teach Rock, including gratitude for what you are given.  I really like the idea of Ruby, Rock, Tim, and Nami as a family unit.

I’d also love more backstory on Nami’s family.  Nami mentions her father, but it’s hard to tell what he’s like other than he wasn’t happy about her leaving and could possibly be worried about her.  It does give a little more wiggle room when it comes to writing fanfiction for her, but in game it feels like a lingering mystery.

Part 349

McCoy

McCoy was warm and happy and comfortable wrapped up with Scotty in his bed. Why couldn’t they just stay like this? He could reach over, turn out the light, close his eyes…

A tiny sigh escaped as he leaned his forehead against Scotty’s. He brought a hand up to run through Scotty’s hair. He could nearly feel the other boy's heartbeat as their chests were pressed together.

“Do you think Spock and Jim’s bond feels like this?” McCoy whispered.

Scotty’s face turned thoughtful. “Ye think we have a bond?”

McCoy nodded against Scotty’s head. He brought his hand down from Scotty’s hair and got it between them, over Scotty’s heart.

“Wouldn’t you say that’s what this is?”

“Aye,” Scotty said slowly, “I suppose it must be.”

McCoy brushed a kiss across Scotty’s lips.

“But they can reach each other even when they aren’t together,” Scotty added.

“I bet that’s nice,” McCoy said softly.

“Are ye sure?” Scotty grinned. “Would ye want me to be able to be in there all the time?” He tapped the side of McCoy’s head. McCoy chuckled as Scotty kissed him on the forehead.

“Ok, true,” McCoy admitted. “But more than just a light on a ring… It’d be nice to be able to send a comforting thought or feeling…”

“Aye, that would be worth it.”

McCoy snuggled closer to Scotty. Anytime now they’d be interrupted and Scotty would have to head for his own room… Another small sigh escaped McCoy at that. Somehow he knew even if they went to Pike and asked, the answer would be no, they’d have to keep their room assignments.

“I’ll marry him and then no one can separate us…”

Scotty stiffened next to him, before pulling back to see McCoy’s face.

“What?”

McCoy’s eyes widened. Had he said the thought out loud? No… he’d just thought it hadn’t he? His face heated, as he looked at Scotty’s confused expression.

“What?” McCoy said weakly.

“Did ye just…?”

“I- I- did I say that out loud?”

“Aye,” Scotty said in a solemn voice.

The heat on McCoy’s face intensified and seemed to make his whole body hot. He swallowed. Oh lord what was Scotty thinking? He squirmed on the bed. Would Scotty laugh at him for thinking so far into the future? They were still so young…

“I- I’m sorry,” McCoy mumbled, “I didn’t mean to—”

“I’d say yes,” Scotty said softly, before placing another kiss on his forehead.

“What?” McCoy was the confused one now.

“I can’t say I haven’t had the thought too, love.” Scotty turned red now as McCoy watched. “But we’re too young.”

McCoy thought he almost saw sadness in Scotty’s eyes, but he wasn’t sure.

“Says who?”

“Mo ghràdh…”

“I know, I know,” McCoy said softly.

A knock sounded on the door, and McCoy sighed. Scotty pushed forward and peppered his face with kisses before pulling back to get up.

“Just a minute,” McCoy called to the door.

McCoy lay on his back staring at the ceiling long after he could tell Spock was asleep. Heat flushed his face again as he remembered what he had said aloud in front of Scotty. He had meant it, but he definitely hadn’t meant to say it out loud. He really hoped he hadn’t freaked Scotty out…

But Scotty had said he’d say yes…

McCoy’s heart beat faster. They’d both be of age in the next few months, what could stop them?

He sighed. Too many things could stop them. He suddenly remembered they hadn’t even known each other a whole year. His eyes widened in the dark. It felt like Scotty had always been at his side… McCoy let out a couple heavy breaths. He always wanted Scotty at his side.

He rolled onto his side. The other half of his pillow smelled like Scotty. A smile spread across his face as McCoy finally closed his eyes. A few moments later he was asleep.

Part 350

Scotty

He lay in bed, wide awake. Scotty’s thoughts were still with Leonard. Next to him. In his bed. Cuddled together.

Leonard had really talked about marriage. He had really said out loud that he’d marry him!

Scotty still couldn’t believe it. It almost seemed like a dream. The most amazing and beautiful one he had ever had.

But… Leonard had also seemed quite embarrassed after saying it. Was it only because he hadn’t meant to say it out loud? Or maybe he had his doubts? After all, it was just so crazy! They weren’t even of age yet!

Scotty couldn’t tell for sure how serious the prince had been about it. All he knew was that if Leonard would really ask him, he definitely said yes. It hadn’t been a lie. The Scotsman wanted nothing more than to be at his love’s side forever and ever.

The fingers of his left hand softly touched the ring on his right hand’s finger. Maybe they’d actually exchange these handmade rings for real engagement rings one day. Or… maybe they already were their engagement rings?

Scotty smiled dreamily at the thought of Leonard and him being married and having a house. A place just for them. With a big garden. And lots and lots of peach trees. A place where they could just hide from the world. No reporters. No worries. No cares.

And when Scotty drifted off to sleep, his mind was filled with all these perfect images.

For now they were dreams, but maybe someday when they were older… they’d turn into reality.

"I don't mind at all that we don't have time alone together after class today. I could watch ye swim for hours."

Scotty let his finger run over Leonard's exposed torso.

"Oh really? That makes me feel better."

Leonard grabbed the Scotsman's hand and kissed it gently. A smile was on his lips.

They were still alone in the pool hall, but Scotty knew that at any moment the other members of the team and a few classmates would show up.

When the door opened, Scotty quickly stole one last kiss before heading to the bleachers and sitting down.

Quickly, everyone had gathered and practice could begin.

"Alright gentlemen, today we're going to have some practice races. So I want you at your best!"

Archer was determined to win the competition against the opposing school. So far, the Academy had come out on top every year. And it was likely to stay that way.

"Mr. McCoy and Mr. Blaten, you begin!"

Scotty couldn't help but smile as Leonard climbed onto the starting block and winked at him. The Scotsman blowed a kiss over to his boyfriend before Archer gave the start signal.

"On your marks, get set... go!"

Leonard and Aaron Blaten jumped into the water and the competitive swim began.

Scotty sat tensely in his seat and watched as the two team members went head-to-head.

"Leonard! Come on!"

Jim cheered on his friend from the sidelines and Scotty also called Leonard's name. In the final meters, the prince took the lead, hitting the rim first with his hand.

A cheer went up through most of the team. Only a few of Aaron's friends weren't too thrilled. Of course. After all, he had always been the best swimmer before Leonard had joined the team.

Scotty was grinning up to his ears as Leonard passed him to get to the benches where the swimmers could rest.

But it quickly disappeared as Aaron's voice rang out.

"You cheated!"

Leonard turned around and looked at his team member.

"What?"

Aaron stared at him angrily and walked slowly toward the prince.

"You cut short on the last lap! You didn't swim to the end!"

Scotty felt his protective instinct activate and he stood up, almost going to the edge of the pool. But Spock held him back.

"Aaron, you know that's not true," Leonard said calmly.

"Mr. Blaten."

Archer's warning voice echoed through the room.

"Of course it's true! I suppose you think you can get away with anything just because you're the prince."

Aaron was now standing right in front of Leonard, but he would not get into an argument.

"If you say so."

Leonard turned away to avoid the confrontation, but Aaron reacted mindlessly.

He shoved the prince and he slipped, hitting his head on the ground before falling into the water.

"Leonard!"

Scotty immediately ran to the pool, but Spock was faster.

He jumped into the water with a headlong dive and dove into the red-colored water.

Scotty's eyes searched the water in panic. Blood. Why was there so much blood?! Oh God!

"Leonard!"

Scotty barely noticed other members of the team pulling Aaron away from the edge of the pool.

It took what felt like an eternity for Spock to reappear and pull Leonard with him.

Scotty knelt at the edge and helped Archer, who had joined him, to pull Leonard ashore.

Scotty recognized a terrible laceration on his beloved's forehead as he cradled him in his arms.

"Leonard, oh God, Leonard!"

Tears streamed down his face and he ran his hand through Leonard's hair.

"Mr. Scott. Mr. Scott, calm down!"

Archer's voice barely got through to him.

"He's conscious. It's worse than it looks."

What? Scotty turned his head to the side and caught sight of Christine running up with a first aid kit. Archer had been talking to her.

Quickly, Christine nodded and got to work.

Leonard's eyes were open slightly, but his face was contorted in pain.

"I'm here. I'm with ye, mo ghràdh."

You opened your book on chapter 31 and placed it on your feet. Immediately you connected with the headquarters and you saw Tanner who was trying to set the camera right, Q trying to show him how to hold it.

You could barely hide your smile.

“Oh, hello” Tanner said and you both greeted him.

“How is your flight?”

“Very good, thanks”

“So, first things first. These” he said and two IDs appeared in the screen. “These are your identities”

You observed them. The first one was Jame’s, his name was Alexander Smith. The second one was yours, your name was Josephine and you had two last names, the first one was March and the other one was - Shit you thought.

“Um, Tanner? Why do we have the same last name?”

“Oh, I would get to that. You are married”

“What?” you and Bond said at the same time.

“You are a hapy and rich couple who spend their vacation at New York. Now, your target is Adam Kerres, a wealthy man. He works for the goverment but this is just his cover. He has his own organization called the Underworld. We have information that he will host a ball at his house.Your first task is to learn more about this organization. Try not to reveal anything about your true identity and- Yes, ma’am”

M appeared on the screen.

“Hello, agents. I want to warn you that this is a very serious and dangerous mission. Please don’t do anything stupid and do not kill Kerres” she looked at Bond.

“Y/N, do you think he can recognise you?” M asked you.

“I- I don’t know” The truth is that you felt a bit embarrassed.

You had given a promise to yourself that you would never talk about this man again. Especially in front of a person like James.

“If you think that you can be recognised you had better change you hair colour or something else”

“Yes, ma’am”

“Now, I’ll leave you be. Oh, and please. Don’t kill each other”

You closed the book and put it in your bag.

“If I may, how do you know Kerres?”

“That’s none of your bussiness” you hissed. The last thing you wanted was to tell your biggest secret to James.

Thankfully after a few minutes you landed. When you got out of the airport you saw a car waiting for you.

You entered and the driver gave you two files. You opened yours and inside there was the file of Kerres, and your fake ID and passport.

You put them in your bag and after an hour you arrived at the hotel.

The hotel was very big and it seemed really expensive. Well, you were rich, after all. You got out of the car and James helped you take your suitcase. When you entered the Hotel you were amazed.

“Try not to show so amazed. We’re supposed to be rich” James whispered to your ear.

“Good afternoon. How can I help you?” the receptionist asked you with a sweet voice.

“We are Ms and Mrs Smith” James spoke.

“Of course. We have a room for you” she gave James the key. “Enjoy your stay”

James gave you a look from the corner of his eye “We’ll sure do” he faked a smile and you left.

Your room was on the fifth floor and you took the elevator. James opened the door and you entered.

Only the bedroom was bigger than your house.

“Well, I guess there’s something good at this job” James muttered and checked all rooms to make sure you were safe.

You placed your suitcase next to the bed and realisation hit you.

There was only one bed.

-Despite her temperament she's a kind woman, very responsible, hardworking and smart. 

-She would be the kind of woman Shen Jiu would like. 

-They would first become friends and see each other often before falling in love and this would encourage Tomoko to get over Joseph and move on.

-The relationship would begin after the “Diamond is Unbreakable” arc.

-The two would at first live together and after times of living together they would end up marrying each other.

-Josuke would feel a bit awkward at first about his mother going out with the guy he has a little crush on and said guy becoming his step-father but would get used to it with time.

-Shen Jiu, Tomoko, Giorno and Josuke bonding together as a family.

->Weather Report : 

-He is a compassionate and kind man who dedicates his life to help those who are in need. 

-He would notice that Shen Jiu needed at least someone to talk to and would go to try to give him this help. 

-A trust bond would be created between the two. 

-Shen Jiu at first would be wary but with time he would find himself at ease talking with Weather Report and would even end up enjoying passing time with him.

-The relationship would begin after the “Stone Ocean” arc.

->Avdol :

-He is a kind man, responsible, patient and very righteous and very smart and wise. 

-His calm and patient nature could work with Shen Jiu.

-The relationship would begin after the “Eyes of Heaven” arc.

-The two would get married with the help of the Joestar’s connection to make their marriage legal.

->Lisa-Lisa:

-Lisa-Lisa and Shen Jiu are both similar in personality, they are cold on the outside but are very faithful and ready to sacrifice themself for their closed ones.

-The relationship would begin after the “Battle Tendencies” arc.

-After Battle Tendencies the two will get married.

-Both will keep training with cultivation together.

-When Shen Jiu disappeared before the beginning of the “Stardust Crusaders” arc and it was revealed during the arc that Shen Jiu was held prisoner by dio, Lisa-Lisa planned at first to join the Joestar group in Egypt to track down Dio and save Shen Jiu.

-Unfortunately, due to Holly’s degrading health Joseph, through a phone call, Lisa-Lisa convinced to stay at Holly’s and Suzie’s side to help the SPWF to stabilize Holly with her Hamon and cultivation and being an emotional support for Suzie Q.

-Joseph have done this ‘cause he knew that Shen Jiu wouldn’t want his wife to go on this extremely dangerous mission, even if she’s a very good fighter, and he 100% know that Shen Jiu would never forgive him if he let Lisa-Lisa come to Egypt and anything bad happen to her.

-When Shen Jiu was rescued at the end of the arc, Lisa-Lisa will be the silent type support to Shen Jiu, being always by his side holding his hand during the recovery, calmly and silently comforting him when he is having a mental breakdown ect…

-When Shen Jiu adopted Giorno Lisa-Lisa will become Giorno’s adopted mother and raise Giorno with Shen Jiu.

->Joseph Joestar & Suzie Q:

-Suzie Q was Shen Jiu’s very first true friend with Lisa-Lisa ever since he appeared in the Jojo universe, the two share a trust and affection which would evolve into love.

-As for Joseph, despite their rough beginning, would develop sympathy for Shen Jiu with time and would become attached and close with him despite their opposite personality and Shen Jiu despite finding Joseph stupid would end up enjoy hanging being with him through Suzie’s encouragements.  

-The relationship would begin after the “Battle Tendencies” arc.

-After they married Joseph and Suzie realized that while they love each other they both also love Shen Jiu and the latter seem also to have a crush on them but keep it for himself ‘cause he thought he would get in their married life.

-Joseph and Suzie being the eccentric people they are, found the solution: propose to Shen Jiu a conjoined marriage.

-When he was proposed, Shen Jiu was at first taken back and opposed to it, not because he didn’t love them, on the contrary, but because he thought this kind of marriage would be bad for Joseph’s and Suzie’s public image and think he isn’t worth the possible backlash.

-He would try to make them change their mind, telling them it wouldn’t be good for them, to think about how others would think about this kind of relationship and how it would be bad for their reputation.

-But Suzie and Joseph didn’t budge and explained to Shen Jiu that they don’t care about what others would think and it’s not about what others' opinions but what they, the three of them, want and especially what HE wants.

-After a good talk Shen Jiu ends up accepting ‘cause he love Joseph and Suzie and deep down really wants to be in a relationship with them but just thinks he doesn’t deserve them.

-The conjoined marriage happened and was able to be made legal thanks to the Joestar’s connections.

-If Shen Jiu is in a relationship with Suzie and Joseph then he will also be considered as Holly’s father and Holly will call him “papa JiuJiu'' since Suzie and Joseph always call him by this affectionate nickname.

-After Shen Jiu was saved at the end of “Stardust Crusaders”, Joseph and Suzie will be a big emotional and physical support to him.

-Ex: They would both comfort him very often with hugs, cuddles etc…

-After Joseph’s cheating was found out Shen Jiu would be furious at Joseph but would also be very hurt.

-Joseph would feel even more guilty than in the general headcanons for having cheated on his wife and his husband, particularly when he knew that Shen Jiu took “trust breaking” very badly and that he was hurt by people who broke his trust.

->Things in the “Diamond is unbreakable” arc would go like in the general headcanons regarding Shen Jiu’s, Suzie Q’s and Joseph’s relationship but with a few differences:

-After having a talk together Shen Jiu and Suzie Q decided to BEGIN to forgive Joseph but it will take time for them, particuliary Shen Jiu, to completely forgive him and Joseph will have to work hard to completely win their trust back, which Joseph accepted immediately.

-After Shen Jiu and Suzie Q would end up completely forgiving Joseph, they would, however, be in a “forgive but not forget” mentality.

-When Shen Jiu adopted Giorno, Joseph and Suzie will become Giorno’s adopted parents along with Shen Jiu.

-To Giorno, Shen Jiu is “a-die”, Joseph is “dad” and Suzie is “madre”.

->Leone Abbacchio & Bruno Buccellati:

-Abbacchio is similar to Shen Jiu as both are depressed self hating men with a lot of issues and who had hard times to deal with those issues so they would understand each other very much which can bring an emotional support to help to heal. 

-With Buccellati who is a very kind and patient man who knows how to deal with people with issues. 

-This could bring a balance in the relationship which could bring to Shen Jiu the intimate understanding and patience he needed.

-The relationship would begin after the “Golden Wind” arc.

-The three wouldn’t be married but would get a “special civil union” thanks to Giorno’s new connections as Pasionne’s Don.

-Giorno would be very supportive of Shen Jiu’s relationship with Abbacchio and Buccellati as he trusts them to make his father happy.

-Comic moment in which Abbacchio would mentally be like “Oooh fuck I’m Giorno’s step father now!”.

->Caesar:

-Despite having been wary of him at first, Shen Jiu would at first tolerate Caesar but step by step would, without realizing it, enjoy his company step by step, especially since Caesar had a more poised behavior than Joseph.

-After Shen Jiu saved Caesar’s life and Caesar gave him a good “WTF?!” speech after Shen Jiu was seriously injured while saving him from Wamuu, Caesar would decide to help Shen Jiu to recover as he feel in debt toward him, despite the latter’s protestations, and this would permit the two to become closer and to eventually fall in love with each other.

-The relationship would begin after the “Battle Tendencies” arc.

-Because of the times “Battle Tendencies” take place, Caesar and Shen Jiu didn’t get married but are living together as a couple.

-When Shen Jiu was kidnapped by Dio, Caesar was on a mission with a team of the SPWF and wasn’t aware about Shen Jiu’s kidnapping ‘cause Joseph didn’t warn him.

-Joseph hide Shen Jiu’s kidnapping from Caesar ‘cause he know that Caesar would immediately join them on the journey to Egypt and he know that Shen Jiu would be very against Caesar putting in life in danger, when the enemies had abilities which give them a huge advantage against him, and would never forget Joseph if anything happen to Caesar and so he didn’t tell him and was ready to assume the consequences once Caesar find out.

-Caesar finds out after the Stardust Crusaders arc and let’s just say Joseph got a big beating for not telling Caesar about Shen Jiu’s kidnapping.

-During Shen Jiu’s recovery, Caesar was constantly by his side and was VERY protective toward him.

-When Shen adopted Giorno, Caesar became the latter’s second adopted father.

-Giorno call Shen Jiu “A-Die” and Caesar “padre”.

SVSSS/PIDW:

->The possible ships are the classic ones:

-Liu Qingqe

-Yue Qingyuan

-Others peak lords

-Tianlang Jun

-Others SVSSS characters(Luo Binghe and PIDW Luo Binghe excluded of course)

Additional headcanons:

-Whatever he ends up in a relationship with Shen Jiu or not, Tianlang Jun would shamelessly flirt with him and if Shen Jiu is in a relationship Tianlang Jun wouldn’t stop his flirt and would even propose a threesome/groupsome/harem.

-In a relationship, Shen Jiu would be a bit like a tsundere.

-Giorno would be supportive of his adopted father’s relationship(s).

-Because of his good looks and charisma, a good bunch of Jojo characters got a one-sided crush on Shen Jiu.

5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? From the one I wrote in english there are probably two of them: tell it to my heart, it's a 00Q and it follows the canonical events of No Time To Die but it's with a different backstory; I lit a forest fire, icemav that should have had a sequel but  🌈 sooner or later i will write it 🌈 , basically Ice gets what he wants (a kiss from Maverick) but it's all in the wrong way, time and it let both of them broken hearted and without their wingman.

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending? No bad days for sure, like it's a 5+1 where James asks Q to marry him over and over again until he says yes, how could it not be happy! And Of bets and moustaches too, it was an happy lil thing.

7. Do you write crossovers? If so , what is the craziest one you’ve written? Nope, read them sometimes but not really a fun of the whole concept.

8. Do you write smut? If so , what kind?

HAAHAHAH i wouldn't know where to started even if i wanted to.

9. Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

Mostly of the time, sometimes i say i'm going to do it later and never get around to it. But i read them all, more than once ✨

Nope, not on ao3 at least.

Once! I still don't believe it, in Chinese of all the laungages, it was such an honor 🥺 (you can find it here)

Yes and we even published that one: this quiet company, draco/theo and it hurts in all the right ways even if no one really ships them a part from us.

14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

uh, dude, i would say sterek but mostly because it's the first, lie second, pair on which i read about!

15. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

do you want to know them in an alphabetical or numeral order? I have a usb that has just wips in it.

16. What are your writing strengths?

the prompt they're based on, mostly.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

dialouge, who the hell do you write dialouges. This laungage as a dictionary that's half of what i speak and still it eludes me how to put all in, in a decent way and without repetitions.

18. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Hell. Hell on Earth when i do it. And sometimes i find it cringe because sometimes words come out in a way but they have a total different meaning in day-to-day use. Please always check the meaning of what you're using because i still have nightmares sometimes.

19. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Harry Potter, it was a Ron Weasley & Rose Weasley 'bout Rose having kid-type-of-questions for her dad, it was a damn sad thing because Hermione had left them when Rose was still a babe? 2011!me was already a very happy person.

20. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

just like heaven, me 🤝 hollywood's green lumpy couch  🤝 iceman sleeping on it? just perfect. And Our bones turn to stone. but mostly because it was the first fic i wrote in english and it has waaaaaay more sense than the actual Timeless finale. Still bitter about it? YEP.
