Dragons Rising S2P2 predictions because I can keep them to myself no longer 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
Ok this is going to be mostly Arin/Sora centric because HOOOO BOY do I sense trouble in the air for these two
First of all, Arin is DEFINITELY going to find out about Sora helping him out with the object spinjitzu thing and I think he’s going to be really really hurt. They spent so much time this season building up his feelings of insecurity and finding this out is going to bring them back in a HUGE way.
Another thing the writers spent a long time building up was Arin’s innate goodness/kindness/naivety. Call me crazy but I think he’s going to learn shatterspin in part 2 - the one thing that literally requires destroying the goodness in your soul. I don’t think he’ll use it much but I think he will learn it and be irreversibly changed
I can envision the lead-up to it so vividly and I think finding out what Sora did is going to be the tipping point. I think the rough timeline would go something like this:
Things are going well-ish. Arin’s confidence is restored and he’s back to training with a new enthusiasm. I don’t think he’ll master object spinjitzu at this point but he’ll be seeing more success and feeling better about himself
Something will happen - my guess some sort of pivotal battle where they’re relying on Arin’s object spinjitzu to save the day and it won’t work and Sora will have to come clean.
Arin - betrayed and insecure - lashes out towards Sora, and then towards Lloyd and the others when they try to comfort/calm him down. He says he needs some time to himself and runs off somewhere
While he’s alone, he’s approached by some force of evil (maybe Ras, or Ras’ master, or someone different entirely) and they use his insecurity to convince him that the ninja are holding him back - think like his conversation with Ras in part 1 - and because he’s feeling so awful about it he’ll agree to join them
Training under this new person, they’ll encourage him to work with all this insecurity and build up a ton of anger towards the ninja - especially Sora and Lloyd - and I think they’ll get him to use that to learn shatterspin
Also pretty sure Sora will learn spinjitzu & rising dragon in p2. Thematically this makes a lot of sense as Sora has been very intertwined with dragons since her introduction (she literally NAMED herself after one), and her element is all about creating new things and pushing the limits of what she can do.
Meanwhile Arin doesn’t have an element (as far as we’re aware, and I really hope it stays that way), and a parts his design speak to oni imagery - the horns especially. I don’t think it’s far-fetched so assume that under the right circumstances he may turn to destruction
Creation and Destruction never ever show up without each other in ninjago. They are completely linked and a recurring theme in the show and I think this will become WAY more evident as dragons rising progresses
Other small things:
Someone will find Jay, probably. (Hopefully!!!!) I’m hopeful for an angsty arc but in all honesty it seems like it’ll resolve quite quickly once they do find him. Tbh im happy either way I just miss my wife
Cole/Geo won’t become explicitly canon but they will continue being delightfully queercoded
I think Wyldfyre and Nya are both going to struggle without Kai,, he’s sort of been a father figure to both of them and knowing he’s stuck somewhere he might never escape from is gonna be really hard on them (esp for Nya who’s already sort of lost one of the most important people in her life)
More Wu info??? (Hoping for this! Hes present in at least one of the new sets (dragon stone shrine, linked below) so im hopeful we’ll find out what happened that silly old guy
PIXAL return???? (I’m begging on my hands and knees)
Arin Sora and Wyldfyre will meet Fritz and Spitz idk I just think that would be cute

More ninja headcanons, instruments edition™:
- Wu plays the Flute, and he also flute beat boxes, and everyone tells him it's impressive asf but he doesn't see it as such, I'm gonna also go ahead and say his staff is the Flute, basically taking it from the movie, he only does it when he's bored, so he'd be watching the ninja train and he'd suddenly start playing his oversized flute-staff out of boredom
- Jay's definitely the guitar, when everyone's gathered for the day of the Departed, he's the one to pull out the guitar when everyone is around the campfire, generally preferring to just play it instead of singing (partiality because his singing isn't great) but he would sing if evryeone else joins in
- Kai loves the drums, if he isn't training or doing chores, he's playing the drums almost 24/7, he's the typa guy to pull up random ass songs just to add his own drums to them
(mental image of baby shark playing while Kai is absolutely fucking ripping it with the drums like there's no tomorrow)
- Cole's is a bass guitar, because that's the only headcanon I accept >:)
So yeah he loves his bass guitar, he and Kai make a kick ass duo if they decide to team up for a song or a random tune they thought of, however they remain in second place in the "music playing duos" *wink wink*
- Nya's is the trumpet and sax, I'm sorry but the mental image of her playing the trumpet or sax is way too good to be left unused
Generally, she prefers a more laid back approach when it comes to playing both instruments, mainly making jazzy tunes, and she's one of the few people who actually make full music tracks instead of randomly playing whenever she feels like it, with Kai being the one working on the drums, and Cole being the one to provide a really really low tone bass guitar in the background to break up any background silence
- Lloyd originally didn't take interest in music, but after the Oni invasion he thought to himself "might as well learn something now that life is somewhat calm again", so he picked the harmonica and he is really damn good at it, you've heard of Flute beatbox, but have you heard of HARMONICA BEATBOX??? (yes it actually exists BTW, it's just as goofy and cool as it sounds), and if he and the team are in a dessert, you better bet your ass he's gonna play the hermonica as long as they're there, which is both amusing and annoying to everyone else around him
- and the last two, Zane and PIXAL
Zane and PIXAL can play all instruments almost immediately from the get go, they just need a few hours to fully perfect them, but they both still prefer using one instead of all of them
Zane picked up the violin, recognising the emotional petional it had, so he immediately fell in love with it, at first he was a bit apprehensive about telling his team about his hobby but eventually they all found out when they heard him play it in his room because he forgot to close the door, and much to his delight they were actually really happy he picked something up to express himself like them
PIXAL picked up the piano, she really doesn't know why she likes it so much, one day it just clicked to her
Like Zane, she was also a bit apprehensive about telling the others, but one day Zane caught her playing it, and he proceeded to tell everyone about it with the biggest "my GF is so badass" look on his face, she was a bit worried at first when they found out about her piano skills but she eventually she got used to it
Now because I'm a sucker for the 2 nindroid Ninjas literally doing everything together (PIXANE best ship don't @ me)
I also headcanon that when they both found out that the other plays an instruments, 2 very complimentary ones at that, they immediately started writing up a fuck ton of songs/tracks, like you'd walk in on them and thier conversation would be something like:
"wait how about a small violin part here?"
"wait, how about making the part be broken apart by the paino? so the second the paino ends, a small violin part starts, and the second it ends the piano starts up again?"
"WHY ALSO NOT MAKE IT SO THAT IT EVENTUALLY REACHES A CLIMAX WHERE THE TRACK ENDS WITH BOTH INSTRUMENTS PLAYING AT THE SAME TIME?"
"YEAH ALSO MAKE IT SO THE SONG'S MOTIF PLAYS AFTER THE CLIMAX AS THE ENDING!"
"THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I'M THINKING-"
"YEAAAAAAA-"
Sorry got a little lost there
Back to the topic at hand, yeah they write music together mostly, they're either the most emotional roller coaster you've ever heard (always makes someone on the team cry) or they're just more laid back, usually the piano and violin sounding hopeful in these songs
But if they're feeling chaotic, then oh boy are they gonna write up some ridiculous but cool shit, by that I mean a crazy fast paced piano with a violin (to get an example of what I mean, take a listen to the song "Xi - ascension to heaven")
So uh yeah, those are my headcanons regarding a few funny legos, hope you enjoyed it.

She frowned, the noseguard of her helm was bent from battle and obscured her vision. Even worse was the blood leaking into her mouth from the cut on her cheek. "What is you wish to say to me, My Lord?" The old man glanced at her and shrugged. "Kwyn, an Iron Born raid struck the west recently. Your cousins Lisbeth and Ryan were slain, I just wanted to tell you first." The young redhead grit her teeth and swore quietly to the Old Gods, that soon a sacrifice of blood would be hung in the Gods Wood upon the Weirwood.
Out of no where we decide to watch Episode 3 "Second of HIs Name" of House of the Dragon.
We open to several pirates following the Crabfeeder as they burn a ship from the Velaryon. Prince Drahar of the Triarchy stakes a man by his hands as he's insulted. Suddenly a dragon comes out of the swirling sky above and Carxes begins his assault while stomping on the poor bastard being eaten by crabs. Hundreds of Free Cities soldiers burn as the prince takes his vengeance. Even the caves appear in danger as the dragon's fire finds all it touches. Daemon is hurt in battle by a fire arrow and forces Caraxes to flee. Three year have passed since the War in the Step Stones has come, so it's been two years since we saw everyone in Episode 2. We appear to see that Aegon II has been born as a son of Alicent and Aemon has found some happiness in his family. I really like how Caraxes is very long and snake-like compared to some of the other dragons. It also appears that he felt the attack on Daemon. Back in the Redkeep the King is celebrating at a massive feast. The new Crown Heir (which will be decerned in the coming years) Aegon the Second is two years old. The Grand Maest and Hand speak about the fact of a Male Heir. Lord Lannist interrupts with stories from the steptones as the King ignores it. Yu, Viserys the fucking trying to keep his shit together. Criston Cole has definitely aged with longer hair and a more evident beard. Alicent Pregnant again as Rhaenyra reads in her family's godswood. Alicent goes out to find her former friend ignoring the festivities while reading. The Princess and Queen are certainly at odds, Rhae ignores the wish to join the hunt. Dammit, Viserys really is letting things fall apart. He should definitely be finding a better way to situate his kids. She makes a point that the king is basically celebrating his lost child of Aemma and likely can't make up his mind on how to treat Rhae as the heir. His adisors by this time might have even argued him into almost changing his mind soon about the succession. Our massive wheelhouse arrives at the grounds for the hunt at the Kingswood, and yes. They are kind of ignoring Rhae here. She herself likely has hadn't formed any bond with Aegon and thus there's that as a problem as well. I think that this really shows how the King himself was while a man trying he kind of fucked up royally with his family. Oh and the Princess burns lady Redwyne, seriously I don't like the Redwynes much. Heh and one of the Lion's approaches the Dragon and we get a interestingly witty man with some of the prettiness of Jaime. Just not as good hair. Oh he seems to be trying to tame Rhae, and we can see he's not very good at it. It's a bit to forward and I did like her shushing him. He informs her she has to marry. The hand seemingly defuses the argument, but we can see that the Princess has left. Sir Cole breaks his post and rides after her in a furry. Deep in to the Kingswood and at a hard pace. She is stopped by Criston Cole who catches her and eventually offers to kill him as a joke. I wonder why he changes his mind as he supports her. They both seem to be fine checking out the Kingswood. Walking their horses along as they speak of Cole's background. The hunt gather's for the Prince's nameday. Otto lays on the support for his part of the line to inherit thick. And we switch to Viserys sitting alone atop his little throne as Jason who appears to be in on the Hand's schemes. He pushes the idea of himself marry Rhae. He decides to fuck up, insinuating that Aegon would become King. And the King decides to step up and shu these fuckers up who want to continue their misogyny. Fucking Andals. Godsdamn it could a while. Otto slyly suggest that Rhae marry's Prince Aegon. Yup, marry the two year old to the fucking seventeer year old. Heh, I love how this mand just pushed a boundary. I am curious how Laeron will play into this.We watch as the King sees his subjects and their push for Aegon and their mockery of his family. He falls into a drunken stupor to what appears to be deafen the dpression of his life. Even seeing his son and pregnant wife doesn't appear to help. Lyonel steps up and we can see he's likely aligned with House Velaryon. It's not a bad idea as both Houses -have- Dragons. Rhaenys rides a dragon as will her two children. More dragonseed means more riders and a stronger fucking Targaryen line. Side Note: This really to me shows how if the Targaryens had followed with a more traditional British set up of peerage having each non-Heir having separate inheritance might have worked. First. Cadet branches spread the blood about and prevent inbreeding and establish back up if one dies. Plus, in a way they could have used their own Dragon's to decide perhaps for who was heir. The most Dragonriders of a parent = the strongest Dragon mayhap. Switching back to Criston and Rhae, we see the Horses are spooked. Cole takes his sword as he creeps away from the fire.I'm calling it white hart! And it's just a boar. ONe big enough to gore Ser Criston and Rhae. Criston ends the fucking thing and I think Rhae get's a bit of a wake up on how dangerous shit is. And, the girl's pain in her family is taken out on the pig. So, hello misplaced progress and mince pork. Here we see how the King's Dream for a son have caused problems. And he sees how his remarrying has brought more anguish. His Dream and fixation killed his wife and Baelon. We see Alicent is seemingly trying to be supportive of both her husband and her former best friend. He comes out for the last of the hunt to see the stag restrained in place for him to kill. Viserys appears reduction and then decides to kill the creature. His blow doesn't end it though and he watches it in pain only to hesitate. The killing blog pushes the creature over as his screeches its last. We see Rhae standing on a cliff overlooking the Kingswood and she sees the White Hart. A massive elk of pure white color who comes towards her. This seems to infer in fact she is the True Heir the Gods seek to wear the Iron Crown. She brings home her kill with Ser Cole and everyone witnesses the blood covered Queen. Her body mussed and messed up, but we see that she's walking high. Directly past the King and then we return to the Red Keep. Otto continues to lay it on thick he wants Aegon to rule, and goddammit. Alicent is definitely not all the way on board with screwing over her best friend. Otto is honestly the reason that his line dies via Alicent. Its Aegon III, son of Rhae, who will eventually claim the throne for the Blacks over the Greens. Vaemond Velaryon, brother of Corlys, sends a message calling for aide. Vsierys is set on not appearing weak. Alicent gets blunt with him and we can see he finally makes a fucking decisive. The Princess arrives just as it happens, and I think maybe we'll see a little of that divide healed. She tells him how she is not really worth it. Viserys is serious with her as he remains in her defense. Maybe, she'll pick it up and he gives her the right to choose her own match. "Strengthen your claim." He's being good here, that is -what she should be donig-? Why just languish when you could have been building all the connections to defend her claim. Which she's not since you know she's a FUCKING CHILD. No one seems to have been there for Rhae and while Alicent is manipulated by her father her best friend is out to dry. Back to the Stepstones, and we see that Vaemond is being a piece of shit. And I also noticed that there are several dar skinned soldiers serving driftmark. Which makes me happy. And it made me so happy to see that they FINALLY MENTIONED THE RHOYNAR in the fucking attestation of the King. Daemon reads his brothers message gives it back. Then he beats the living shit out of the messenger like the fuckboy he is. The new troops will help, bt you can see the asshole just wants to appear like a badass. Goes to shore, seeing the water logged banner of Driftmark and past the rows of those efed to the crabs. Holding up a white flag, it wonder if he's asking for Parley or to lure out the crabfeeder. He's offering his sword, yup, this appears to be surrender. Drahar glances skyward searching for soldiers and Dragons. HIs men creep out of the caves they hide in and head for the Prince. As a man takes his out thrust sword he attacked, all alone on the battlefield he runs through a hailstorm of arrows. Dashing strike and using Valyring Steel to share through his opponents. Matt smith is so good in this role, and as the Arrows whiz by his face he is just cleaving away at a run. The RNG seems to be screaming "CRIT CRIT CRIT CRIT" as he takes out the Triarchy soldiers. An arrow finally gets him in the chest and leg pinning him under more arrowfire. As they rain further down, we hear the subvocal rumbling of Caraxes, the Dragon was waiting. As the soldier's stream out of the caves we see them getting within Daemon's vision. He appear to be ready to die as they surround him. Out comes the Se Snake and his troops falling upon the bastards through the smoke. We see Laeron riding Seasmoke, the smallish grey dragon like a cute bastard kills the enemy as Corlys rushes in with a massive two-handed ax. The half-moon stabs and breaks the Triarchyman, and the Crabfeeder recedes to hide in his burrow. Daemon pushes further in to find his prey, walking out of the man's burrow he holds the upper remains of Drahar. Bleeding in his hand he drags the left side of the man's torso and proclaims his kill. The Sea Snake and the Rogue Prince have won the war.
Gay Canon
Okay, seriously, going on the THeory the Hightowers have Valyrian Blood, id' love to see a story where one of the Dragon's chooses Alicent as a rider. This causes a stir before her father can push further with her. She secretly swears to marry Alicent. Yup, I like this idea for a story.
Hottakes:
The King dealing with his shit still.
Ser Otto is intent on seeing his grandsprog on the Iron Throne.
This show definitely shows the growing split in the Kingdom. How House Strong will eventually side with the upcoming Blacks faction.
The greens including the Lannisters and High Towers are on another side.
The pavilions of the hunt were nicely colored, but we could have seen brighter colors that were a little bit more evident.
Rhae is out rebellion and is definitely dealing with the agony of how she's basically a spare with only a small oath to hold her to the Throne.
The pained scene where the stag was slain by the King was - ick. Corlys putting his brother in his place was a nice scene
Seeing more difference in the Dragons is nice. Sea Smokes more compact form which appears closer to Syrax in size is interest. Caraxes meanwhile is long and lankky. His legs including webbing to help him glide.
Drahar was menacing without lines, but I felt he could have said something. I LOVE CORLYS Armor.

Zane’s true potential was so important it still affects he and the others’ relationship to this day, and I know im probably the 1000th person to talk about the meaning of his true potential, but still I dunno, I think there’s more stuff that hasn’t particularly been said.
Im watching decoded right now and its made me realise something about their true potentials. The other ninja still don’t understand Zane’s true potential in its entirety, and didn’t listen to Zane when he tried to explain it. Everyone else’s fits a pattern of learning how to not pretend to be someone you’re not; the other’s try to put Zane’s into the same category, saying that Zane unlocked his true potential because he unlocked his memories and knew who he was, he didnt have to pretend to be human anymore if he’s a nindroid. Although that’s most likely particularly true, Zane himself then said something that made me realise that that’s definitely not all.
He said ‘To be more precise, I unlocked my true potential when I realised our differences cannot push us appart, they hold us together’
Which, first of all, beautiful statement, screaming and crying as i write this, i love him
Now, pair that with the fact that about 30 seconds prior, when asked about his true potential, Zane showed everyone a montage of his issues learning understand the others sense of humour (x). It seems like Zane has a very different perception of why he reached his true potential than the others do, and they aren’t trying to understand it, considering that they just brushed off both of his responses.
So what do his responses actually seem to point to?
We know that they all reached their true potential when something stopped holding him back, and nothing held Zane back more than communication issues with the others. He didn’t initially understand them, and they didn’t understand him. He couldn’t remember any other relationships he’d had before, so he assumed that this level of understanding was normal, explaining why he didn’t seem to care when he came back in episode 2 after he had been blamed for burning down the monastery, though wether or not he did care, im not sure; i’d like to think he did but just didn’t say.
Episode 8 and his memories gave him an example of a healthy relationship, it was then that he was able to see that things hadn’t been going particularly going well with him and the ninja, it kinda broke him at first, which is why part of why he was so sad (other than ofc the bit where he found out he’s not human and his dad is seemingly dead, that could probably make someone sad too 😳)
But all this why he got to his true potential, otherwise he would’ve just started glowing/flying/whatnot right there and then when he turned on his memory switch.
So y’know what I think the true potentials came from? Hope that things are going to get better. It sounds really fucking cheesy but bare with me, its another pattern of the true potentials that this time *everyone* fits into
-Cole got hope that his relationship with his father would finally improve
-Jay got hope that he’d become more comfortable being himself around everyone
-Kai got hope that even if he wasn’t the green ninja, he’d still be considered a valuable member of the team
Now Zane’s. Zane got hope that he and the others could have just as much of a fulfilling life together as what he’d had with his dad, not just in spite of but because of their differences. He decided then and there he’d make an effort to learning to getting along with them, and hope that they’d do the same for him. Right before the ninja left him to have some alone time after finding out he was a nindroid, they all told him that they accepted and thought it was really cool that he was a nindroid. For the first time, something about him that made him different was seen as a strength, rather than a weakness. Sure, people had commented on his other strengths before, like his abilities to stay underwater for a long time or his cooking expertise, but those were all things he’d practiced to get good at, those were his skills, not who he was.
Zane was still trying to figure out who exactly he was, having only just remembered it and all. But being a nindroid seemed like a big part of it, so the fact that everyone was so accepting of it made him feel like things really were going to get better for him, and that the others were good people who needed protecting, nothing was going to hold him back from trying to be happy alongside them.

The feel of the bright morning sun shining through the window blinds warming your skin was what woke you up from the deep slumber. The window was slightly ajar, which let the crisp air from outside spread through the room. Bishop wasn’t by your side when you searched for his comfort and body to cuddle against. You scanned the space of any trace of him, and that’s when you heard his soft voice singing in the shower.
It wasn’t often Bishop sang. The only times he did was when he was sure that no one was around to hear. But you had caught the sweet melody of him a few times, and you always treasured the moment to the fullest. Just laying there on the soft bed with your eyes closed as you listened to his beautiful voice.
After some time, your mind started racing to last night's activities. It was unlike anything you had ever done before. Bishop was known to be hard and rough with you in the sheets from time to time but last night was a whole new experience that was hopefully going to happen again in the future.
You heard the water shut off, and not a minute later; he emerged from the bathroom. His eyes met yours when he opened the door. A wide and beautiful smile on his face as he saw you lying there with nothing but a thin sheet covering the most sensitive parts of you. “Mornin’ beautiful.” “Good morning to you, too handsome.”
Your eyes couldn’t help but admire him. All he had around himself was a towel low on his hips, showing you his trail that led to the part of him that had your mouth water in need and your core desperate to be filled. A few drops from the shower were running down his Godly body that you wanted to lick off to feel him under your tongue. Your mind started fantasizing about him bending you over the bed and taking you hard from behind as he pleased. You felt yourself throbbing, and you needed to clench your thighs together to stop yourself from thinking any further.
“How did you sleep?” His voice was so deep, and it didn’t make it any easier with the whole scenario you were picturing in your head. “Go-good.” He felt you were nervous because of his presence, and it left a smirk on his stunning face. He came to sit down beside you. “I was going to ask you to join me in the shower, but I figured you must be pretty tired from last night.” He had his warm hand on your shoulder, caressing the soft skin. “Yeah, I’m pretty worn out… but it was good… more than good, it was perfect. It was extremely... mind-blowing.” His heavenly laugh made you smile out. “I enjoyed myself very much, sweetheart, more than you know.” “Me too.” A long kiss was left on your forehead, which made butterflies explode in you at its softness. “I’ll prepare breakfast while you get ready, and then we can talk.”
Talk… right… You both still had some things to talk through with the stuff said a few days before. You hadn’t told him yet, but you already forgave him last night when he was cuddling you so soft and lovingly like only he could after fucking you good and raw. But this would be an opportunity to strengthen your relationship even more if the conversation went in the right direction.
After the shower, you chased the mouthwatering smell of breakfast as you walked downstairs to the kitchen. Bishop was putting what he made on two plates for you to enjoy as you walked in. It was so lovely to see him out of leather and in his home attire, moving around comfortably and happy in your shared house.
Always being a gentleman, he pulled the chair out for you to sit on. “This looks so delicious, babe, thank you.” “Thought you would need some good nutrition from the workout I put you through last night.” Out of the corner of your eye, you saw him with the tiniest of a cocky smirk, clearly very proud of himself and his accomplishments. You gave him a look that said, “shut up, we know,” which made both of you chuckle.
There was a comfortable silence as you ate, but you could still feel the slight tension in the air about the conversation that would be. “Should we move into the living room?” He questioned when both of you had finished the plates. “Yeah, sure.”
Once you were both seated on the couch next to each other, knees touching, he let out a deep breath while taking your hands in his. His thumb was caressing the back of yours. He kept looking at you the entire time as he talked. He wanted you to know his feelings entirely, and it was told with more than just words. His eyes and facial expressions also held his feelings and honesty.
“I’m sorry about the way I acted. It was shitty of me. I should have let you in instead of pushing you out when Riz died. But I couldn’t bear the thought of losing you when I was already feeling so low and grieving my brother. It ate me up inside, and I started thinking irrational thoughts. I know we belong together, and I’m so sorry for fucking up big time… I love you, and I will never stop loving you, caring for you, and protecting you. I want to marry you, have babies, create magical memories, grow old and gray as we are surrounded with our many grandkids, and then still be close as we are buried together for all eternity. You’re the best thing that has entered my life, and I can’t live without you; you are what keeps me going when I want to give up. You are what brings me love, joy, and comfort when I need it the most, so… please can you forgive me, sweetheart?”
You saw how much it was tearing him to pieces that he had hurt you so deeply with his words. It was hurtful, but you could have been a good partner and stuck around, despite him pushing you away, so he didn’t need to feel so alone and lost. But for you, at that moment, it felt like the right decision for both. Your eyes clenched together hard to prevent the tears from falling.
“You have nothing to be sorry about, Obispo. I’m the one that’s sorry for walking out when you needed me the most. I know you were only thinking about what's best for me and my safety… but I’ve chosen to be with you and love you for the rest of my life, and that comes with some risks that I’m willing to take and not think twice about.”
You took the sides of his face in your hands so he could properly look at you and feel your complete honesty with him. “I love you, Obispo, and that’s so much more important than some fight. I love you, and you love me. We are both healthy and here in this world together. Let’s just enjoy each other while we are both still breathing… we never know what will happen tomorrow, and that’s not in our hands, so just,” your foreheads touched as you whispered the last words, “let’s just be here and live our lives in the love we have for one another.”
He let out a breath of relief that you both managed to work this out. His arms wrapped around your body in the most warming and reassuring hug the two of you had ever shared between each other. Your legs lifted to drape over his to keep the closeness. His lips left light kisses all over your neck and shoulder as he rested his head where he belonged. The feel of his beard was tickling you, but it made you feel so at home and safe as you were loving and cuddling one another. “You know I will never let anything happen to you as long as I’m alive, querida… never.” “I know Bishop… I know…”

SO MERLOPIAN KAI PART 2 ELECTRIC BOOGALOO
So, with Kalmaar, he ofc immediately goes to his parents about his feeling, slightly placing his revenge on hold. They are...dubious about it, but Maya raises the point of how there has never been a human/merlopian hybrid before, and from what Ray has told them about having two EM parents it’s possible for Kai to have some water abilities himself, which could be what gave Kalmaar his feeling. So, they agree to look into it.
Moving on..... Uh. Kai doesn’t have a fun time in S6, as briefly as he’s there. You see, Nahdakahn knows exactly what buttons to press and is able to get Kai into a panicked state where he, on the verge of a panic attack and mental breakdown, just says “I wish that I could just be normal! I wish I could just go home! I wish I could be with dad and mom and father and Kal and Bentho and Nya!!!”
The “normal” comment comes from how they weren’t able to completely hide Kai’s heritage since yeah, there were other people on the boat who saw him. That and he also tried a lot less to keep it hidden. And because some humans are assholes, he has to deal with that.
So ofc, Nahdakahn interprets it in the worst ways and as two wishes. Kai is now a full human yes….but was also sent to where the fish fam currently were……which just so happened to be at the bottom of the ocean.
So yeah, double trauma for both groups. Kai got to experience what drowning felt like, and his fam was essentially forced to watch him die since there was nothing they could do. They were too far under to take him to the surface and too far from the palace to take him there.
But dw, it gets even worse.
You see, the whole reason Nahdakahn is being this malicious about Kai’s wishes is because he learned that Kai was the reason the Preeminent was destroyed, thereby destroying Djinjago.
Nahdakahn is then able to do a “oh? Is this not what you wanted? I thought you wished to be normal.” Which ofc sounds really bad since it’s in front of his family. “But, I understand. You grow tired of the stares in the street, how they whisper behind you back about what you are. Not human, not merlopian, not normal. Just a freak masquerading as one of them.”
This ofc supremely pisses off the fam. Like, weapons drawn ready to commit murder.
But then Nahdakahn stop them with a “ah ah ah, I wouldn’t do that if I were you. After all, I am the only way your son has a chance at living. So go ahead. Make a wish.”
Trimaar ends up being the one to do it, and is smart enough to know this uh will twist it in anyway he can so says. “I wish for Kai to be sent safely to the surface without harm done upon him.”
Blah blah blah, your wish is yours to keep, Trimaar realizing “wait there’s a lot that could be interpreted” but too late BAM now Kai’s kinda stuck on the Misfortune’s Keep.
And he....generally has a pretty bad time. Think Jay but this time it’s personal.
However, Kai’s appearance had Trimaar get the Merlopian army and start heading to the surface. The remaining ninja have a brief moment of “are you kidding me two enemies at once” before learning that this is Kai’s lost family and they’re here to help.
So now the ninja have a whole ass fish army to help them, plus a very protective, very angry fish family.
But for the rest of canon, the only difference is that when they’re leaving Tiger Widow Island, Nya gets snatched along with Jay(who was taken because he hadn’t used his wish yet) and they aren’t stuck on the island, and then later that Kai gets sucked into the sword when the ninja launch their rescue mission.
But yeah, it gets all Un-Happened by Jay’s wish(which at seeing Kai physically hurt and being emotionally torn apart at his baby sister dying, wished that none of this ever happened and that Nahdakahn was never found), only like canon Nya and Jay still remember what happens.
Nya is now firmly on team Kai Is Alive and tells her parents everything about what happened and the wish Jay made, and more importantly where Kai is.
Unfortunately, they need to take some time and prepare. Trimaar and Maya have been doing their best over the years to open the populace possibly making bonds with the humans, but now it’s finally happening. They can’t just go up there out of no where, since from what Nya has told them 1) most humans don’t even know they exist and 2) in the past few years they have been subject of many attacks, mostly from non-humans, so they need to make sure the humans understand they don’t mean any harm.
So DotD happens, then the beginnings of S7 :)
Right out, Kai never liked the museum curator. Up to that point he’d only ever caught fleeting glimpse of him but something about him Kai just despised. As a result, he also visited the museum as scarcely as possible, and thus didn’t notice a very interesting painting containing a two very strange figures.
When he learns his name was Dr.Saunders.....things don’t go well.
It happened when Kai brought the helmet with his dad’s symbol on it. As much as he disliked the curator, he was the most likely to be able to recognize what kind of helmet it was.
Then in his anger he gets himself captured.
He’s taken to a special cell lined with vengestone and has guards around the clock, and Krux takes extra care to make sure Kai doesn’t know where Ray is.
ofc it’s around this time that the Merlopians arrive and express their wishes for a possible alliance between their two races. Unfortunately they showed up at literally the worst time, and double unfortunately the people in charge of diplomacy decide to bring some of the ninja in as an extra precaution because of the villains have been running around.
So the people who join the meeting are Lloyd and Jay from the ninja(they would’ve brought Kai but he hasn’t returned from his missions yet and isn’t answering their calls) as well as some police officers and from the Merlopians is the whole royal family plus a few guards.
Both Jay and Nya have a silent moment of staring at each other since “I know and I’m not sure you know but I think you know but I don’t want to say anything since you might not”
And just as they’re about to start, The Time Twins attack. Because why the hell not.
They’re actually able to hold them off for a while, but unfortunately there are too many Vermillion. Then Kalmaar whips out his Water Powers which causes him to get kidnapped since they need both Fire and Water masters for the blade.
While they’re recovering, Lloyd then gets a panicked call from Zane saying that he checked the museum footage and Kai has been captured. The gets overheard by the royal family, and then Lloyd asks why they looked so upset at which they learn(sans Jay since wish) that Kai is royalty. The eldest son actually, and thus first in line for the throne, as well as being presumed dead for the past five years.
So basically Krux has kidnapped the King and Queen’s husband, the crown prince, and the second in line prince(if anyone knows a more fancy term for this please let me know)
Maya, Trimaar, Nya and Benthomaar are not happy. Not with the Ninjagian people, no they’re fine, but they’re bout ready to murder Krux, and they don’t even know about Ray yet.
So they offer any help they can.
Zap back to how Kai and Kalmaar are doing.
Kalmaar is….kind feral tbh. Like, he’s biting, clawing, trying to strangle them with his tentacles, and before they got vengestone cuffs on him was trying very hard to drown anyone.
Ofc, this does little to the Vermillion and soon Kalmaar finds himself in the cell right next to Kai’s. He’s overjoyed to see his brother again, albeit upset that this is why.
They both reluctantly come to the conclusion that there isn’t much they can do at the moment, and there are many Vermillion guards right outside their cells, so they decide to start catching up.
And for pretty much the rest of the season canon is pretty much the same, just shuffle around the characters a bit and add a protective Fish Fam.
Though their little trip back in time is quite sight for the Past EMs, especially because of how Kalmaar is using his powers, which leaves Kai mostly stuck in his Fish Form. This time they don’t even bother trying to explain, just give instructions on how to defeat the Vermillion and jumping into the battle.
And I mean just imagine that from the EMs perspective. An enemy you thought you defeated just returned with a giant metal creature and an army of snake things that don’t look like any kind of Serpentine they’d ever seen. Then a shark person and squid person??? show up and not only do they know how to fight the snake things but they also seem to be Elemental Masters???? Despite the fact Ray is very much alive and they didn’t even know there was a Water EM. Then the two not only summon dragons but they also fuse their dragons into an even bigger one with two heads.
And then all of them disappear into the sky without a trace.
W i l d
But yeah, after that it calms down quite a bit. Kai spends the time skip before S8 reconnecting with his family and his dad, and through some tech courtesy of Borg they're able to bring Ray with them :D
And Kai actually goes to meet the Jade Royal Family since y’know. He’s the crown prince. He’s kinda important and legitimately forgot about it. Luckily Kalmaar is able to help coach Kai through it, but is also a bit smug about how he finally has something to teach to his older brother. Kai was actually the one who suggested asking the ninja for help protecting the mask.....but we know how that inevitably ends.
Bentho, Kal and Nya were actually on the ship for this particular adventure, and then Nya and Bentho were dragged along when they got sent to the First Realm. Bentho, despite being the youngest sibling and to the surprise of literally everyone, was actually really good with kids and spent the most time with Little Wu, right behind Cole.
But yeah S9......Nya and Bentho have a really bad time in the First Realm beause of the heat, but at least they don’t get captured. Kai on the other hand....
Yeah at some point he gets accidentally splashed with water and well.....it definitely doesn’t help with the Oni accusations. The Dragon Hunters decide to burn him along with the Wind Dragon, which moves up their Build Our Own Dragon time table.
After they escape Faith is actually pretty chill about the whole fish thing, but she does ask a lot of questions.
And then S10..... kinda the same. They end up dropping off as many people as they can with the Merlopians since the smoke can’t reach them.
I might make a Part 3 for the rest of the seasons, but yeah. this is where we’re at.

Chance Encounter (sequel to The Premiere)
What happens when y/n and Cillian bump into each other again off set? Will their little agreement still stand?
Warning : Smut
Taglist - @queenshelby @peakyscillian @margoo0 @being-worthy @noctvrnalmoth @janelongxox
Your hair was done, your makeup flawless (if you did say so yourself) and you were finally ready. Your former costar Natasha was getting married and she'd invited you to the reception. You'd booked your hotel room and silently prayed to the god of all that is holy that Cillian was invited too. You knew your agreement half a year ago was that if you "worked together" again, you'd hook up, but surely agreements could have the odd caveat here and there, right? You just hoped he was still single... There had been plenty of buzz about him and a girl from back home reconnecting a few months ago but you'd never plucked up the courage to ask him outright. Last thing you wanted was to look desperate but truth be told? You were. A little. Okay, a lot, but you hid it well - no one had any inkling anything had happened that night at the casino, and that's just how you liked it. The rumour mill had piped down, even after THAT interview. But deep down you wanted more of the man that had truly captivated you. It annoyed you that he wasn't on any social media - there was no way of keeping in touch other than via text/call but neither of you had made contact with the other after that night.
You smoothed down your dress and grabbed your handbag. One quick check on your hair, and you made your way to the lift. Pressing the 'down' button, you felt two strong hands suddenly clinch your waist, making you (and your heart) jump.
"Too easy, y/n..." You spun on your heels and came face to face with Cillian, praying your foundation covered your burning cheeks. Game face on, you slapped his arm playfully. The tickle and slap had been your 'thing' all the way through Peaky Blinders.
"Mr Murphy, how the devil are you?" He embraced you warmly, greeting you the same way on old friend would - had he moved on?
"I'm excited to be here with everyone again, can't wait to see Tash's dress!" You smiled breaking away from him, hoping he couldn't feel your heart practically exploding through your dress.
"She'll look beautiful I'm sure." You held eye contact for a little longer than you should have, before the lift door pinged. Inside were Finn and Joe Cole, obviously having caught the lift from a higher floor. It suddenly dawned on you that your room was on the same floor as Cillian's... Stop it y/n...
"Hey!!! Peaky Reunion in full swing now!" Your onscreen brother and cousin pulled you both in for hugs as Cillian pressed the button for the ground floor.
Entering the large foyer, the beauty of the hotel where the reception was being held was breathtaking. The wedding flowers, lilies and roses, lined the corridors, leading the way to the large reception hall at the bottom of the corridor. Entering the room, you found the other cast members on a table together in the corner, and saw 4 empty seats around the table. Approaching the table plan in the corner, you groaned inwardly to see Natasha had placed you and Cillian right next to each other.
"Should be a fun evening, y/n.. what you drinking?" Cillian nudged you with a wink. Why was he so damn hard to read??
"Gin and lemonade please," you smirked, and he made his way to the bar with Joe. Finn joined you at the table, smirking at you.
"That flame still burning there y/n?" He nudged you as you took your seats. Finn one side of you, Cillian the other.
Conversation flowed around the table easily, the group of you catching up on the last six months. Most of you having taken a break from any kind of work for a while out of choice.
"I hear your love life is improving there Cillian!" Joe laughed, playfully punching the top of Cillian's arm. He didn't respond, just smiled shyly and rolled his eyes. Your heart dropped, he HAD moved on then..
He caught your eye and went to speak to you, before the music kicked in and the DJ announced the arrival of Natasha and her husband into the room. You all stood, cheering and clapping as the beautiful bride and her dashing husband entered, grinning like Cheshire Cats. The conversation with Cillian would have to wait...
The end of the night drew close and you were stood at the bar with a tipsy Natasha talking about her father's embarrassing yet beautiful speech, when the music suddenly turned down a notch. You were so happy for her, she looked absolutely radiant.. but the feelings in your heart were almost painful. You'd avoided Cillian all night, much to his dismay. He'd tried talking to you but you were determined to keep your distance. He was clearly taken, and you wouldn't dream of getting in the way of that. You couldn't help but notice him watching you from a distance throughout the night though, and you regularly scanned the room to check he was still around somewhere. Occasionally your eyes met, and you looked away quickly every time.
Natasha's wedding song played again through the speakers for the second time, the DJ inviting all the couples in the room up to the dance floor. Natasha kissed you cheek and hugged you, before heading off to find her new husband.
You felt those familiar hands on your waist, but they didn't tickle like normal, they gently turned you round in a 180 degree turn.
"Stop avoiding me." Those blue eyes pierced into yours.
"Very sure of yourself there, aren't you?"
"Every time I've got within 2 feet of you, you've moved away. I've tried to talk to you and you suddenly need the toilet.. or a cigarette.. or just plain walked away. Forgive me for thinking you were keeping a deliberate distance from me y/n." He looked serious, a side you rarely saw in him. He almost looked hurt.
"Listen, Cill.. you're clearly with someone okay? And I'm.. I'm just.. it's okay.. It really is. I -" His lips suddenly fell onto yours, silencing you, taking you completely by surprise. Now that, you weren't prepared for. You suddenly no longer cared about anyone else in the room, you lost yourself in his embrace, your kiss quickly becoming heated as your tongues met.
"What are you doing..." You breathed, pulling away.
"I'm not seeing anyone y/n, I never was. That girl is my publicist - yes we dated but we were 16.. she's married now, to my best friend ironically.. I'm single."
"Well you've just kissed me in a room full of people.."
"I know.. and I'll deal with that later, but right now I really don't care. I've been wanting to do that ever since that night."
"Why didn't you call me?" His hands were caressing your arms lightly as he chuckled to himself.
"I chickened out." You stifled a laugh.
"Me too... I didn't want to be the first to text!"
"Thank god Tash got married eh? How long you reckon we'd have gone on without talking for?"
"Oh come on, did you think you two sitting together at the table was a coincidence?" Joe appeared suddenly behind you at the bar. You both turned to look at him. "You two have been like lovestruck teenagers since Peaky finished - frankly we were sick of hearing about it!" You were stunned.. nobody knew? Did they?
"We all bloody knew." Joe was a mind-reader now, apparently. Cillian's hand found yours, and led you to the dance floor. You followed, positively glowing now, as he pulled you close to him, gently swaying with you to the music.
"Which room are you staying in?" He whispered in your ear, a hand running up your spine.
"Yours..." Your hands ran up the length of his arms, over his shoulders. The navy blue suit bringing out the blue in his eyes perfectly as he pulled you close for another kiss.
"What do you say we head there now.." that voice would be the death of you, as it whispered in your ear again. You could feel his arousal through his trousers as you nodded, kissing him again. He took off his suit jacket and held it over his crotch as you both made your way quickly to the lift, luckily no one stopping you.
Your bodies met in the elevator again, your body being pushed against the wall as he lifted you up to wrap your legs round his waist. His core grinding into yours. Your fingers tugging his hair as he kissed a trail down your neck.
"Need to stop or I swear I'm gonna fuck you in this lift y/n.." you shuddered at the deepness of his voice, when the door to the elevator opened and he carried you to his hotel room. Opening the door, your legs still wrapped around him, he carried you to the large dresser by the window and sat you on it, hitching your dress up and over your waist, pulling your underwear down your long, slender legs.
"I never got to taste you last time..." You groaned from the pulsing feeling in your core as he parted your legs and kissed a trail up your thighs. Meeting your core, his tongue traced over your clit painfully slowly as your back arched.
"Oh god... Yes.." working a slow rhythm at first, he added more pressure as you started to rock against his mouth, needing more and needing it now. "Feels so good..."
"You taste perfect y/n..." His assault continued with fervour, he soon had your back arched as you came against his tongue. Coming down from your high he got back to his feet as you breathed heavily into another kiss, tasting yourself on his lips.
"I want you.. now Cillian..." The primal desire in his eyes was almost too much as you unbuckled his belt and trousers, letting them fall to the floor. Cupping his erection through his Calvin Kleins you felt him shudder slightly and gasp, standing you up to lift your dress over your head and unclasp your bra. His shirt was quickly removed as you pushed him backwards to fall onto the bed. Hooking your fingers in the waist band of his boxers shorts, you pulled them down allowing his hard cock to spring free. Giving it a gentle lick from the base to the tip, you sank your mouth down over it causing him to grip your hair and moan primally, never taking his eyes off you.
"Fuck.. your mouth feels good... Mm..." Your mouth was dancing over his shaft, a hand cupping his balls as you played with them.
Feeling his balls start to tighten, you lifted your mouth off him, bringing your body up the bed to meet his. His blue eyes were now almost black - you needed him inside you.. reading your mind he flipped you onto your front, opening your legs and lining himself up.
"Still on that coil thing?" He looked at you. You nodded, and he pushed into you slowly. You gasped at the invasion, he filled you up even better than he did before. Watching his eyes scrunch shut as he bottomed out, you smiled. He was perfect in every way, shape and form.. and after tonight's very public display, was he yours?
"I've wanted this for months... In fact I've wanted YOU for years..." You panted, lifting your hips to meet his gentle thrusts.
"You have me.. all of me.. you always have.." he thrusted between each sentence, sending shockwaves through you. He wasn't fucking you, he was making love to you.
He lifted you up, your legs wrapped round his waist as you moved together. Your lips met his as he ran his fingers smoothly down your spine, your arms wrapped over his shoulders as his thrusts met your hips perfectly. Your nails ran along his sculpted back, as he planted soft kisses over your collarbone. You had never felt anything like it - your bodies slotted together like jigsaw pieces, but you needed more. Turning your bodies, you pushed him onto his back and sank back onto his cock.
Rocking back and forth, building a steady rhythm you felt his hands roaming over your breasts causing you to ride a little harder.
"You're perfect, y/n, you know that? Absolutely perfect..." His eyes and hands were all over you. Pulling your waist up and down, he took over, lifting you slightly so he could thrust upwards, hitting that sweet spot inside easily. You brought a hand down to rub your clit as he began to pound harder into you from below, your orgasm drawing closer and closer.
"I'm gonna... Oh god Cillian I'm gonna cum..."
"Let me feel you... Let it happen baby I've got you..." You exploded over him, the most powerful orgasm you'd ever had. You felt your juices coat him, as your hand stopped rubbing his quickly took over, making you scream as he continued the pressure on your clit and your insides. You froze as you suddenly felt yourself lose complete control of your body, gushing over his chest as he made your pussy squirt hard over his chest and stomach.
He watched you, mesmerised as you cried his name, chest heaving from the force of your orgasm. Breathing heavily, trying to control himself and not end this too soon, he paused his thrusts as you came down from your high.
"Fuck... Jesus.. that's never happened before I'm sorry!" You gasped, coming back down to earth.
"Don't ever be sorry for that - I'm doing that to you every single time from now on.. fuck that felt incredible..." He growled and turned you over to lie on your back. He re-entered you, slipping in easily, and moved inside you again. You reached behind you to grab the bedframe.
"Give me everything... Everything you have..." He was like a wild animal, his hips pounding into you again. He was panting in your ear, sending you into heaven and back as you wrapped your legs round his waist, pulling him deep.
"Good girl... That's it... I'm gonna -" he lost the ability to speak as he came hard, deep inside you, his body collapsing on top of yours. You ran your nails over his shoulders, feeling his breathing calm.
You lay tangled together for a while, just enjoying the feel of each others skin, listening to each other breathe, placing soft, gentle kisses on each other. He pulled out slowly, and lay next to you.
The silence wasn't awkward, but you had to break it.. you had to know..
"Cill?"
"Hmm.." his eyes were closed, but he lifted an arm for you to move into. You didn't, you stayed where you were. He opened his eyes and looked at you. "What's wrong?"
"What is this? What are we doing? I mean, I'm not expecting anything.. I just.. listen.. don't be mad.. but I've thought about that night every single day and I don't think I can carry on doing this if you don't actually want me, okay?"
"I kissed you in a room FULL of people y/n, what does that tell you?"
"I don't -"
"I want you, okay? Not just as a fuck, but all of you. You and me - what do you say?" Your eyes gazed into his. Everything you'd ever wanted was waiting in them. You settled into his arms and allowed yourself to drift off in his arms. The safest, and most comfortable you'd ever felt.
*************************************************
More cameras flashing, more screams.. another premiere. This time for your latest movie - you'd been cast as the lead role in Danny Boyle's latest blockbuster and you were leading the rest of the cast on the red carpet. Your dress showing off your curves perfectly.
You stood in line with your castmates smiling, when a pair of ocean blue eyes caught your attention off to the left. You couldn't help but grin when he winked at you, you could feel how proud he was of you. You heard the event manager call for individual photos, and you stayed on the red carpet smiling for the cameras.
"Can we get one of you and Cillian, y/n?" One of the photographers asked, and the others all shouted in agreement. You shook your head, knowing how much he hated these events, and PDAs even more, but you were cut off by the man himself approaching you smiling.
"Why not, eh?" We wrapped his arms round your waist and stood happily having his photo taken. He was just too proud not to, he wanted the world to know.. taking your hand in his, he led it to your belly, suddenly the fans in the background went wild screaming, the photographers suddenly noticing the roundness of your stomach and catching onto the exclusive news.
You felt a warmth running through you - it truly didn't get better than this, as you gazed into your fiance's eyes and stole a kiss.

Chapter 8 let’s go!!!
LONDON HEIR WEDS UP AND COMING LADY
Arthur William Burns, 33, of London has married Miss Elaine Spencer, 20, of Birmingham. The couple celebrated their union on February 14, 1944 at the chapel on his uncle Edward’s estate in Suffolk. The intimate ceremony was followed by a small reception of the couple’s closest friends and family. The new Mrs. Burns was thoughtful about her war-time wedding, taking extra steps to avoid unnecessary costs or supplies. She updated her mother’s wedding dress instead of buying new, and after the wedding, generously donated the gown to the Army. Her engagement ring was an heirloom of Mr. Burns’ family, but it didn’t stop there -
The article didn’t stop there, but Juliet did. She couldn’t read another word about Arthur’s wedding. In fact, she slammed the paper down on her desk. It rattled the teacup in its saucer to the side, but miraculously, nothing spilled. Huffing, and her article forgotten, Juliet folded her arms across her chest and stewed.
She couldn’t really say why it bothered her so much. She had moved on the same as him, but getting married? It hadn’t been that long. What could Arthur possibly know about this girl? For a girl she was at the tender age of twenty. Was that what irked her? That the girl was so young? No, it was fairly normal for an age gap like that, especially among their class.
Perhaps it was the class issue that was grating on her. Elaine Spencer was - to the Burns family - everything Juliet was not. Young, rich, well-behaved, and (though only Arthur knew this difference) able to bear children. Seeing their announcement, and the kind of wedding they could afford, was a rather harsh reminder of all that. But even that should not have been this upsetting.
Deep down, Juliet knew what was bothering her was that she was bothered at all. She was happy with Ron. So why did she care about her ex? Why did this feel like such a blow to her pride? Why did she feel as if Arthur had just terminated their engagement all over again? Wasn’t it enough to have Ron in her life, a man she truly respected and cared about?
That was something else to consider. Juliet realized she had wasted far too much time on someone who wasn’t half the man Ron was. And yet, Arthur had rejected her. If what she thought about him was true - that he was a coward and totally undeserving of her - shouldn’t it have been the other way around? She knew she felt shame for how much she had loved Arthur when she didn’t receive that love in return. Was that what got on her nerves about this?
She certainly was not jealous of the girl. Elaine. Juliet knew she absolutely did not want to be married to Arthur. In the long run, they could never make each other happy. Especially now that Juliet had experienced Ron, who truly appreciated what she had to give. She had to keep reminding herself of him or Arthur’s dumb face next to Elaine’s stunning smile would drive her crazy. And yet, she couldn’t stop looking at that picture. They looked so perfect.
Her door opened and she jumped a little bit out of her seat with a gasp. It was Ron, but that oddly made her more nervous. She perked up.
“Hi, honey!” she greeted brightly.
His brown knit together over his eyes. “Honey?”
“Yes, dear?” she returned.
“Seriously,” he frowned. “Why are you calling me that?”
“I haven’t before?”
“Obviously not.”
“You don’t like it?”
“Obviously not,” he repeated. “What’s going on?”
“Nothing!” she insisted. Then it was her turn to frown. “What endearments am I allowed?”
“Why do you need them, when my name works just fine?” he replied.
“Oh come on,” she said. “Not even darling?”
“Darling is meaningless here, you people call everyone darling,” he said.
She considered that. “Alright. ‘Love’, then?”
“No, thanks.”
“Baby?”
“No.”
“Dear?”
“No.”
“Sugar?”
“No.”
“Sweetheart?”
“No.”
She bit back a giggle for the last one. “Daddy?”
He rolled his eyes. “Don’t be ridiculous.”
“My heart belongs to Daddy,” she began to sing as she got to her feet and approached him. “So I simply couldn’t be bad -”
“That’s a little bit sick, coming from you,” he cut across her as he shrugged off his jacket.
She ignored him. “Yes, my heart belongs to Daddy! Da da da da -”
This time, he interrupted with a kiss. Juliet giggled into his mouth, but he was successful in stopping the song entirely. When they parted, she had a goofy grin on her lips.
“Are you absolutely certain we should disregard the genius of Cole Porter?” she teased.
“Let it go,” he returned.
“What are you gonna do?” she challenged, making her voice dramatically husky. “Spank me?”
He raised an eyebrow. “Don’t threaten me with a good time.”
She blinked, taken aback by his casual reaction to such a suggestion, but she was also a little curious, so she decided to push the envelope. “You wouldn’t.”
“What’s the matter?” he questioned. “Afraid you’ll like it?”
Her mouth fell slightly agape. How had he managed to so drastically turn the tables on her? She was supposed to be teasing him and somehow, she ended up being the one flustered and red-faced. She cleared her throat and shook her head to remove the rather graphic images that had popped up inside it. All thoughts of Arthur were certainly out the window.
“I did not anticipate this backfiring,” she admitted.
“And yet, here you are,” he said.
“How tired are you from training?” she asked.
“Not too tired to make love to you, if that’s what you’re asking,” he answered.
“That’s the perfect amount,” she said.
With that, she tugged off her cardigan and pulled him in for another kiss, deep and deliberate, with a nip at his bottom lip to get him riled up. He lifted her into his arms and they fell on the bed together - her pinned beneath him as their lips remained locked.
Afterwards, as they dressed to get some dinner and Juliet was in the bathroom fixing her hair, Ron spotted the article. Suddenly, her behavior when he first walked in made sense. She’d distracted him with the endearments conversation, and he hoped he had distracted her from what she’d read. But his gut told him there was something more. He’d walked through that door every day without surprising her. There was a reason she had started and panicked this time. He picked up the newspaper, and looked hard at the photo - at the man who had humiliated Juliet, but ultimately paved the way for Ron’s own happiness with her.
Arthur was not much to look at, which was both surprising and expected. Surprising because well, Ron found Juliet to be very beautiful, and he knew she could do better. Expected because Juliet was not the sort of person to base a relationship on looks alone. Although she had certainly noticed Ron’s. But for the first time, that made him doubt. She told him once she was more upset by the indignity of what Arthur had done, but she must have really seen something in him to have agreed to marry him. And she talked so much about Ron’s looks, he started to wonder if that was all she saw in him.
He quickly dismissed that thought. She had been incredibly vulnerable with him and shared parts of her life he was certain she had shared with few others, perhaps not anyone. But something was holding her back from addressing this with him, and he wanted to know what.
“I reckon we can just pop downstairs and have something quick,” she said as she emerged from the bathroom and picked up her cardigan. “That way we won’t get too cold before we - y’know - warm back up again.”
He faced her, and caught the surprised look in her eye at his expression. Her smile drooped and faded as she realized what he held in his hand.
“Jules,” he said, voice heavy. “I want you to do something for me.”
“Sure,” she looked nervously between the paper and his face. “Anything, Ron, just -”
“Without one fucking joke, I want you tell me why you’re upset about this,” he said, indicating the paper, though she understood perfectly well what he meant.
She sighed. “Are you sure you want to hear this?”
“Yes,” he said.
She waited for him to explain, but he didn’t. But he was not sacrificing his control of the conversation, he was solidifying it. She was going to explain herself to him.
“Don’t take this the wrong way, but I’m annoyed at myself for letting it upset me at all,” she said. She met his gaze, searching his face for a reaction, but he didn’t give one. “I mean, yes, it’s a wound to my ego that by all rights that announcement should be about me and him. Although, I never would have gotten married on Valentine’s Day. Seriously, of all the cheesy -”
“No jokes,” he cut across her.
“That wasn’t a joke, it was a disparaging remark,” she returned.
“Juliet.”
“Sorry.”
She bit her lip, carefully forming how she wanted to say what was on her mind. But, it turned out he wasn’t giving her that either.
“Don’t think, just talk,” he instructed.
“I care about you so much,” she blurted out. “You make me happy in a way I hardly thought possible until I knew you. But seeing that announcement made me ache. It’s difficult to pin down why exactly since there are a number of things that bother me about it, but mostly it’s that it shouldn’t matter. I’ve moved on, haven’t I? But if that still hurts me, I’m worried that perhaps I haven’t, and that’s not fair to you or to me. And if that’s the case then perhaps I should let you go, but the thought of that makes me want to hurl myself out of a window. Then that makes me worried that no one will ever be enough for me. Which is ridiculous because you’re more than enough. You’re the most wonderful man I’ve ever met in your own weird way. So, that means there’s something terribly, terribly wrong with me.”
She stopped to take a deep breath and paused. She considered saying more, that was really the sum of her feelings. Ron stood there calmly.
“Can you talk now please?” she requested.
A hint of smirk tugged at one side of his mouth, but he stopped it.
“It’d bother me more if you didn’t care about this,” he replied, which made her brow wrinkle. “It’s okay to have feelings about someone you were involved with. Doesn’t mean you still have feelings for them.”
“You don’t think it’s a reflection of my feelings for you?” she asked hesitantly.
“No,” he said with a shrug.
She bit her lip. “I just...I just don’t think it would get to him if he saw my wedding announcement in the paper.”
“It would,” he replied.
She rolled her eyes. “You can’t know that, you didn’t know him.”
“I know you,” he said. “That’s enough to understand that there’s no way you didn’t have an impact on him.”
“That’s -” she began to argue but stopped herself as she absorbed it fully. “Well...that’s actually a lovely thing to say, thank you.”
He set the paper down and walked over to her, gathering her up in his arms so he could kiss her forehead.
“Don’t hide behind distractions when there’s something serious,” he said gently. “And don’t hurl yourself out a window, I had enough trouble with you on the bridge.”
She looked up at him and smiled. “You’ve lifted your moratorium on jokes, I see.”
He pecked her on the lips. “Nope, just for me.”
She repaid him with a light jab to his ribs with her pointer and middle fingers. “Shut up.”
On that note, they headed down to the bar for dinner and drinks. Though Juliet had mentioned wanting to return to her room quickly, they ended up lingering. Talking like they had when they first met. Juliet talked a little more about Arthur, and Ron gave her the space to do so. It didn’t last long. Slowly, he faded from the conversation and they moved on. Ron challenged her to a darts game, and Juliet readily accepted.
“I’ve never played before,” she confessed. “Well, actually, I almost did when I was seven or so. Dad took Billy and I to the pub with him and left us to our own devices.”
“I don’t like where this is going,” Ron said.
She pressed on anyway. “We weren’t tall enough to reach the board, so Billy drew one on the wall we could use. The owner got upset and started shouting at him.”
“I really don’t like where this is going,” he said again.
“So, I stabbed him in the thigh with the dart,” she finished.
“Billy?”
“The pub guy.”
“Just checking.”
“Anyway, he starts screaming -”
“Billy?”
“Nope, still the pub guy,” she said. “He grabs me by my hair and starts dragging me out. That didn’t sit right with Billy, so he leaps onto the man’s back and starts punching him. Mind you, Billy was only about nine at the time, so he wasn’t the most effective.”
“I imagine not.”
“But of course Billy doesn’t care, he’s just looking out for me,” she continued. “So the guy lets go of me, and I grab him round the legs and trip him. Then Billy and I ran out of there as fast as we could, terrified about what Dad would do to us if he realized we’d caused the commotion. Luckily, he never found out.”
He blinked at her. “Honestly, I’m just impressed you stabbed a guy.”
“He yelled at my brother!” she returned. “What was I supposed to do?”
“Stab him, of course,” he said.
“That!” she cried. “Right there! That’s why we work so well together!”
She giggled into his mouth as he kissed her in agreement.
“C’mon, let’s play,” he said.
He showed her where to stand, how to hold the dart, and some tricks he used to get better aim. She was attentive to his coaching, and it certainly paid off. Each throw got her closer and closer to the bullseye. So much so, he considered tripping her on her last turn. He didn’t, since that would put her dart in rather close proximity to his thigh, and he was in no mood to get stabbed himself.
She took her shot, and to the surprise of Ron and a few onlookers, she hit the center of the dartboard. She punched the air with excitement and let out an enthusiastic scream before turning to face him, beaming with triumph.
“That’s right!” she bragged to anyone listening. “Juliet Fletcher is the darts champion!”
For a moment, Ron genuinely feared she was going to try and chest bump him, and he wasn’t sure there could be romance after that. To his relief, she did not. She did something far more embarrassing. In movements that could only be described as lost and awkward, she...danced. If one could even call it that. Her limbs jerked, her hips lacked any semblance of rhythm, and her feet sort of scraped across the floor. He watched in disbelief as she went about her celebration, completely unabashed.
“What’s the matter, Speirs?” she taunted. “Upset you lost to a girl?”
He wanted to laugh, but he was so disturbed it came out more of a grimace. “What...what are you doing?”
“Victory dance,” she returned simply. “Like footballers do.”
“No one has ever done anything like what you’re doing,” he said.
She came to a slow stop, a smirk on her face. “I told you I can’t dance.”
“I thought you meant the foxtrot.”
“Well, I can’t do that either.”
“I’d expect not.”
“Are you embarrassed?” she wondered.
“Aren’t you?” he shot back, though judging by her expression, she wasn’t.
“Nope,” she shook her head.
“Should be,” he said under his breath.
She ignored that little remark. “Life’s too short to stifle the joy of kicking your boyfriend’s ass in a game of darts.”
He rolled his eyes. “I’d hardly call that an ass kicking.”
“You wanna go again?” she dared him.
“God, no,” he replied quickly. “If you win, you’ll start dancing again.”
“So you admit it?”
“What?”
“You’re afraid I’ll win.”
“Yeah, but not for the reason you want.”
“Whatever,” she giggled. “I’m gonna get another drink, d’you want one?”
“Sure,” he said.
With a nod, she headed for the bar. She established fairly early on in their relationship that she was not the sort who wanted to be doted on. She had no problem sharing the responsibility of buying drinks or fetching said drinks. Ron rarely even pulled out her chair for her. Opening doors was different, as Juliet usually had a bag or something, but she never so much as suggested that Ron carry it for her. He once offered, but she told him she’d only allow it if she could tip him, which promptly ended the conversation.
“Hi, Juliet,” Emily, the bartender, said as she approached. “‘Nother round of whiskeys for you and Lieutenant Speirs?”
“Yes, please,” Juliet replied.
“Just a moment, I’ve got to bring some beers to the lads back there,” Emily said, pointing to the other end of the pub. “I’ll be right back.”
“Take your time,” Juliet assured her.
While she waited for Emily, a man approached the bar. A dark haired, tall, but mousy looking man Juliet had seen at the Blue Boar only a handful of times. He was usually alone and stayed for only one drink before leaving. She got the impression he was not solitary by choice - he was clearly unpopular. The other officers always gave the table a wide berth.
“Hi,” he said timidly.
It took her a moment to register he was speaking to her. “Oh! Hello, there.” She stole a glance at his rank and then his name. Sobel. She decided against trying to say it to avoid the risk of mispronouncing. Plus, she didn’t want him to think she was interested.
“My name’s Herbert,” he said. “Herbert Sobel.”
She studied his face for a moment. “Herbert, huh?”
He blinked, surprised. “Um. Yes.”
“Oh, yeah, Herbert absolutely suits you,” she said.
He was taken aback again. “I’m sorry, what?”
“Never mind,” she shook her head. “How can I help you, Herbert?”
“You could start with your name,” he replied.
She wrinkled her nose. “Eh. No, thanks.”
“What?”
“I’d rather not give you my name,” she said. “Because I’m afraid the follow up is going to be your asking for my phone number or offering to buy me a drink. So I reckon we’re better off if I get the ‘no’ out of the way now. Save us all some time.”
He sputtered for a moment before she went on.
“I know this must seem like contempt prior to investigation,” she said. “But even if I wanted to - which I don’t, mind you - I am involved with someone.”
“Wha - who?” he wondered.
“Lieutenant Speirs,” she said, and pointed him out for good measure.
Sobel glanced over just as Emily returned and began pouring the whiskeys.
“Well, isn’t Speirs lucky,” Sobel murmured.
“I wouldn’t go that far,” Juliet said, taking their drinks. “I really am a horrid bitch, you wouldn’t like me anyway.” She held back a laugh as his eyes went wide. Emily covered her mouth to stifle her own giggle. “Cheers, Herb. And thanks, Emily.”
Emily asked a stricken Sobel what he wanted to drink while Juliet left. She returned to her seat next to Ron and delivered his whiskey. He wore a deep frown which told her he’d been watching her interaction with Sobel.
“What’d Captain Sobel want?” he asked, just a hint of bitterness to his voice.
“Don’t get your knickers in a twist, I shot him down,” she replied.
“He hit on you?” he questioned, but his shoulders relaxed a little. “Must not have seen you dance.”
“Shut up!” she laughed, elbowing him.
He didn’t say anything in return, he only put his hand on her thigh, giving it a little squeeze. Something about it thrilled Juliet. It was...intensely macho. Possessive even. Normally things like that disgusted her, but Ron made it sexy. Only, she had to question it.
“Are you serious?” she said.
“About what?” he returned.
“You’re not bothered by my talking about my ex-fiancé, but a strange man offering to buy me a drink has you marking your territory?” she asked.
“I can’t help who you were with before we met,” he said. “I can do something about anyone getting ideas now.”
“What would you have done then?” she questioned playfully.
“Stab him with a dart,” he replied, without missing a beat.
She giggled before she sipped her drink. “You’re ridiculous.”
She wasn’t able to remain in Ron’s grasp long. Emily approached and told her there was a phone call for her. Juliet excused herself, but not before kissing Ron deeply.
“So the other girls don’t get any ideas either,” she teased.
“Fine by me,” he said.
With one more peck, she followed Emily behind the bar. She picked up the receiver and held it to her ear.
“Juliet Fletcher,” she said.
“Juliet, it’s Otis,” said the voice on the other end of the line.
“Oh, hello, Otis, how are you?” she replied politely. She got along with the investigator most out of all the people involved in Peggy Lee’s case.
“Quite well, thank you,” he said. “I’m sorry to call you so late, but I’ve just gotten the news that Meredith Fisher’s trial has been moved up. We begin on the fifteenth of March.”
“Crikey, that’s quick,” Juliet said.
“I know, but the prosecution is confident enough,” he told her.
Juliet was tempted to let him know they were absolutely right in their confidence with the way Meredith Fisher’s lawyer was going about things, but she held her tongue.
“That’s good,” she said. “I’ll be sure I’m there for the trial.”
“I’ll see you then,” he returned. “Good night, Juliet.”
“Good night,” she replied before hanging up.
She returned to Ron, who shot her a curious look.
“A trial date has been set for Meredith Fisher,” she said. “In just a couple weeks.”
“Are you ready?” he asked.
“Damn right I am,” she said.
“That’s my girl.”

“Son of a bitch” Dean panted as he stopped for a second to catch his breath. Finding a shed to hide behind before he would continue. Continue to be hunted down like an animal the cops seemed to believe he was. He had been caught red-handed, in your blood when the cops knocked down the door. It felt like thousands of them had come to arrest him, running up the stairs of his house to catch him. The murderer who had just brutally killed his fiance. Everything had gone to shit. He had endured a month of loss and pain and now he was being chased for a murder he didn’t commit. A murder that had ended in your death. The love of his life. The only thing he was living for, You.
2 months ago
You and Dean were out for a walk, one of many walks you’ve taken throughout your relationship. For some reason, this walk felt different. As you walked around the lake in your hometown hand in hand, late in the evening. Dean suddenly stopped and turned to you.
He took a deep breath as he held both your hands in his “I’ve never been more terrified in my life than I am now,” He confessed.
You were confused, You had no clue what was going on. “Why are you terrified?” You asked hesitantly.
Dean lowered himself to the ground as he got down on one knee. Your eyes widened when you realized what he was doing. “Y/N, I know that when we first met, things were a bit rocky. Hunting got in the way, yet you still stayed with me even though our fights made it hard. You’ve been my rock, ever since Sam.” He stopped talking as he swallowed thickly, his next words weren’t easy for him to say. You hated seeing him like this, you knew this was hard for him.
You put your hand on his cheek “It’s okay Dean, you don’t have to say anymore!” You wanted to make things easier for him.
He shook his head “No, I need to say this. I have to tell you this.” He looked up at you fighting back the tears. “Ever since Sam died, you’ve been my rock. You took me in when I had nowhere else to go. Even though things weren’t perfect and I was practically a wreck the whole time, you stuck by me. You held me through all my nightmares, comforting me, making me feel safe.” He stopped talking for a second to clear his throat.
“You taught me how to make pie just so that we could bake together. Every time I've needed parts for Baby you’d be out the door in seconds just to help me out. S...Sitting with me while I quietly work on Baby. Uh… I know that doing all of this wasn’t exactly your kind of fun but as long as I’ve known you, you have never complained about anything. You stand up for yourself, you are strong and caring. You are the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen, And… and after all of this, you have stuck by me, through all the bad, ehm… through the times I’d ignore your calls for days straight, even for times I’ve pissed you off by going hunting instead of spending time with you.” He was stuttering slightly. Dean wasn’t much for speeches and if you could guess you knew that he was improvising here which would also make things harder but you couldn’t care less. This was the man you loved, you wouldn’t have him any other way.
“Ehm… All those times are things I’m not proud of doing, we’ve had a rocky couple of years with all kinds of fights, which… uh… that you’ve mostly won… You welcomed me into your heart when I was at my lowest, when I’d given up. You have continued to pick me up off of the ground for all this time. I know I don’t deserve you, I’ve done bad, a lot of bad in my life, I’m no saint. But… that doesn’t matter to you and I don’t really know how to explain to you how much I love you. You are my whole heart, I’ve never really had a home but I know that wherever you are is where my home is. You are everything I could have ever wished for. Y/N, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?” He finished taking a deep breath as he looked at you for your response.
Tears had fallen down your cheeks. This man was the love of your life, he had just asked you to marry him. “Of course I will Dean,” You cried out as you reached down to him to get him off the wet ground, it had been raining earlier, it hadn’t dried yet and you didn’t want him to get all dirty and muddy.
He stood up as you cupped his face in your hands kissing him deeply. Every time you had kissed this man, time had stood still, it was only you and him in this world. You had never felt safer in your life than when you were in his arms. Knowing that he felt safe with you was everything you’ve ever wanted to hear.
“I love you so much Dean,” You cried as tears were running down your cheeks. This man right here had just delivered the most beautiful speech you had ever heard.
“I love you Y/N, You are my girl, I will always protect you,” He spoke as he continued to smother you with beautiful small kisses all over your face, holding you in his arms. The kisses making you giggle.
Present day
As he sat down behind this shed hiding from the police that was chasing him through all of Lawrence. He was brought back to that day, the day he said he’d always protect you. He had broken that promise. For a month now he had been sitting in a jail cell because he wasn’t fast enough, he couldn’t get to you quick enough. You had died and that was all his fault. He would have to live with the fact that after everything he had done, he had let you down. You, Y/N, the love of his life, his soulmate. He had wished every second of every day while sitting in that cell that it should have been him that had died, that had been brutally murdered in the house you shared together. In the bed, you shared together. How he wished he had been covered in his blood tucked in between the sheets the same way you had been.
1 month ago
It was like any other night. Dean had been working late. After Sam had died for what seemed like the millionth time. The only thing that was different this time was that this time Sam wasn’t going to come back. The hunter life for Dean was over. It had been 2 years and one month since he had met Y/N, 9 months since Sam had died and he had officially gone to Y/N and moved in, having nowhere else to go, And 1 month exactly since you had made him the happiest man on earth by agreeing to marry him.
After he had moved in with you, he started looking for a job that could actually pay the bills. That’s a lie, for the first couple of months he was basically spending all his time drinking his troubles away. He’d get defensive if you ever tried to help him. That didn’t stop you though, you continued to care for him, to love him, to comfort him. He knew how lucky he was to have you.
Things got better, slightly, he wasn’t completely healed and you both knew that it was going to take time. You didn’t rush him, you were a family, and whatever might come your way, you would take care of it together.
Dean was working as a freelanced mechanic, it was all he could find on short notice. This worked and the pay differed depending on the damage done to the car and the amount of time it would take to fix it. He usually worked on the cars from his garage but today was different, for some reason the client couldn’t get the car to Dean’s garage so Dean had to go there to fix it.
This is why he was late coming home, it was severe damage done to the engine and it took a while to fix it. Luckily, he was done with that car and could now take a day off and spend some time with you, his fiance. The time was 10 pm, it wasn’t that late and he was hoping that you’d still be awake.
As he drove up to the house you shared, he noticed that all lights were off but one small lamp that sat in the window of your bedroom. He didn’t think much about it, figured you had gone to bed early. He went up the steps of your house, walking through the door which was unlocked, usually you’d lock the house always, even if you both were home you’d have the doors locked. This was something Dean had made sure of after he had moved in, wanted to make sure you were safe. The fact that the door was unlocked struck Dean as strange but he decided to ignore that, exhausted and wanting to go to bed to cuddle you. As he walked through the darkness, climbing up the stairs trying not to make too much noise in case you were sleeping. He stepped into your room, finding you underneath the sheets asleep, or what he thought was asleep. As he quickly got out of his pants, climbing into bed to cuddle up to you. As his arms wrap around you he notices a sticky substance clinging to him. You feel completely stiff in his embrace. As fear quickly goes to his mind he lifts the covers to see you covered in blood. Stab wounds around your stomach. You, his fiance, had been stabbed to death.
He held onto for dear life. Tears pricking in his eyes. The feeling of loss is clear as day on his face. His sadness is being replaced by anger at the fact that he couldn’t protect you. He cried heavily holding onto your body, your face cupped in his hands as he just stared at the lifeless face of his love. Everything around him was gone, the only thing on his mind was your body in his arms. He hadn’t even noticed the front door being kicked open as thousands of cops ran up the stairs to find him, his clothes, his whole body wet and sticky from the blood of his soulmate.
Present day
That night was a memory he could never get rid of. He was the main suspect, the only suspect. He understood why. He was found covered in your blood. At first, he was done, he felt worthless, hopeless without you in his life. He had accepted his fate but after weeks of being stuck in a period of depression with only the image of your lifeless face stuck in his mind. It had hit him, the time he had found you, your body hadn’t even gone cold, if only he had been home earlier then he could have stopped this. He knew one thing for sure, you weren’t killed by anything supernatural. Someone had actually entered his house and brutally stabbed his fiance, his girl. He knew what he had to do, anger taking the better of him as he escaped from the jail he was in for the time being and running to find the person who had done this. This son of a bitch was going to pay.
That’s where he was right now, a gun in hand that he had taken of a guard, a very dumb guard who was supposed to make sure that no one escaped. It wasn’t hard to escape, he’s escaped from harder things in his past. The only problem was that anger was flooding his judgment. He was known as a murderer in the eyes of the authorities. He figured he was in the clear as he stepped out from around the shed, Only to find two police walking towards where he was currently standing.
He wasn’t thinking clearly, turning the gun on them to shoot. The sound of a gunshot pierced his ears, masking all sounds around him. He was confused since he hadn’t pulled the trigger. One cop had been quicker, shooting Dean in the stomach. His body hitting the pavement was the cause of his shock. The realization had hit him, he had been shot. The burning aggravating sensation in the stomach area, growing outward from where the bullet had traveled. This feeling was all too recognizable to Dean. His hands flew to where the bullet had hit his body. Blood had traveled to his mouth as he began choking and spitting out his own blood. Panic in his eyes and mind as he knew what was going to happen. He was dying, there was no coming back from this, he knew what dying felt like but he had never known what staying dead had felt like. He hadn’t finished his mission, The killer was out there still, the murderer who had viciously stabbed his soulmate to death, piercing her body 16 times, what kind of sick fuck would do that. He had let you down yet again, not saving you and not finding you in time. He was angry with himself as he continued to choke on his blood. The gooey substance leaking out from his stomach.
A light blinding his senses had caught his attention.
That's when he noticed it. A figure reaching out for him, telling him that everything was okay. A figure that was you. The anger and panic he had once felt were replaced by calm, he no longer had any more regrets. Everything that had happened, was not a thought in his mind. All he felt was calm and the need to be by you. He had lost you and now here you were, right in front of him. He had you again, he had finally found you. The love of his life, his true love, his girl.

Today I bring you a post I’ve been in the process of mentally drafting for a while, a post that essentially analyzes the age old question in the Dragon Age fandom: Why is there always something with Cullen?
To do this, I am going to go through different “phases” of Cullen discourse. My thesis and answering the titular question: It’s complicated, and I don’t think I can answer “Why Cullen,” but “there’s sometimes recycled discourses made about his character through the years, maybe there’s a pattern.” When it comes to Cullen’s detractors, I understand the fact that it might be frustrating to see much content for someone so “boring” when there’s more “interesting” and “well done” characters (though interest is of course relevant) so it leads to a lot of vitriol from both new and old fans who think the man had too much screen time already. Furthermore, he is highly complicated man dressed as a Disney prince, and the “Disney-esque” feel of his romance creates a dissonance between coming to terms with his problematic past and reveling in the romanticism. We can have a happy medium everyone,  but because of what I can only describe as “tik tok thought” it’s become looked down upon to have problematic favorites, which leads to guilt in liking something problematic, or outright revisionism.
But liking things with problematic elements doesn’t make you a bad person.
Alright, let’s begin:
The first phase truly began of course with DAO with Cullen’s crush on the female Circle Mage Warden. Some were endeared, others not so much. I cannot speak to this phase too much as I was around 15-16 and pretty preoccupied with my high school drama instead of fandom, though I played both DAO and DA2 upon it’s release and followed updates for DA2 before it came out. Despite not being an active fandom member I was what they would call, a lurker. I knew some people liked Cullen and thought he was cute, wishing for more screen time after the game and hoping he’d be in DAI through IMDB message boards (remember those?) and YoutTube comments. When news broke he’d be an advisor in DAI and a romance option, I remember seeing a lot of people in those same spaces rejoice. I’m sure there were also people who weren’t so pleased, but from what I saw, people were happy. When Inquisition did release, I actually did quite a bit more lurking on tumblr despite the fact I didn’t have a blog, because I played the romance route, really gravitated toward it, and wanted to see fanart and such. People liked the romance, liked his arc and how Bioware handled his struggles with lyrium; and found it realistic. Even in my lurking days I did see some blowback on Cullen from detractors, those who didn’t think he should have been the military advisor (which canonically it makes total sense to me why he’s where he’s at, but I won’t get into it here however.) But likely because I wasn’t fully “in fandom,” my surface level understanding of how tumblr felt about Cullen was relatively positive and there was only standard fare discourse.
Phase 2: I can speak about this phase better because I established this blog in 2017. Two years after DAI was released, you still had a lot of fans who loved his romance and character, but you also saw a lot of those fans really dive into his flaws, insisting even that just focusing on the Disney Prince aspects of him reduced his character. There were also more internal debates. Would realistically Cullen be a good father was one. One thing however was for sure, there was a strange them and us line between detractors and fans, and to many fans, myself included, oftentimes the Cullen blowback would extend beyond the valid, “hey I don’t think his characterization was handled well” or “his redemption arc isn’t that great” to outright vitriolic hate that blatantly ignored his PTSD and lyrium addiction, and even sometimes “you just like Cullen because he’s white.” As a POC fan it was a fantastic thing to be accused of. I used to be more involved with discord during this period and I remember a few discussions about this as well. Even those indifferent to Cullen didn’t get it.
Overall, I have to say the air was one where people in Cullen fandom enjoyed all aspects of him, from delving into this troubled past to indulging in the Disney prince aspects of him. It was a happy medium I think, even if occasionally I would see a Cullen fan feel bad for liking him, and feel like they needed to justify it. Heck I even did and still do feel that way sometimes, like I need to justify what I like. But we all come into fandom for different reasons. I come into fandom some days for different things. Sometimes I want smut with my favorite character, other times I want more intense thought pieces and challenging fics. Great thing about fandom is that it’s a bakery that has cherry tarts, cinnamon rolls, or all kinds of pie depending on your mood. Craving a different sweet treat, you can make your own. Or you can commission an artist or writer for something you fancy.
*(sexual assault mentions here late in the paragraph****)And now I’ve been warped back into Cullen/DA fandom through what I am calling phase three, where the general air on Cullen reads as….very different. After having one foot outside DA fandom for a while coming back and reading the air has been different. There was the bizarre nuggetgate and other things with Cullen. Now, instead of accepting his flaws and exploring him there seems to be a lot of revisionism going on, as if his past never happened or we’re supposed to ignore he was a templar. A sexually active Cullen is looked down upon but in a different way from before. Instead of smut works with him “reducing his complicated character.” it’s distasteful to write smut with him where he’s sexually dominant or even just a lot of smut because he was sexually assaulted. (***Now, it is implied that he was, if you are a female Circle mage in DAO, with “sifting through my thoughts, tempting me with the one thing I always wanted but could never have” but this is an implication. I will be honest, it is what I have implied. However, it’s not there if you’re not a female Mage. He was however canonically sexually harassed in the Winter Palace, something I will always argue, even if canon treats it like a joke, even if Leliana tells him to “just look pretty.” Just because he is a man doesn’t make it funny that someone grabbed his bottom, and if you take Cole he flat out says “Cullen is afraid.”***)
So here I am, wondering what changed and what’s going on. Here’s what I believe: Cullen is a complicated character and his flaws and his past make him interesting to me, and they are interesting to explore. However there is nothing wrong with wanting to just explore a romantic, sexual Cullen. He’s a character with many facets. He’s romantic, determined, nostalgic, stubborn, unrelenting, loyal, driven, all things that made him seem so real. Here we get to my theory: in today’s media “criticisms” I see people—particularly younger people—beat themselves up for liking something problematic. It’s like every time you engage with media that’s potentially problematic you have to write essays to yourself why it is so and hold yourself accountable. I see this on tik-tok a lot and why I refer to it as “tik tok thought.” Look at the way some young Hamilton fans talk about the musical, or heck even here, and you may see what I mean. It’s like if you don’t acknowledge the problematic aspects of the historical figures behind their fictional portrayals in the show you’re a bad person. Same thing with nostalgic Disney fans my age in younger, if you don’t clown on Ariel for “choosing a man over anything” (SHE LIKED THE SURFACE WORLD BEFORE SHE MET ERIC) you don’t get your brownie points.
I want to make it clear: being critical of media is good. I am glad I see young people and people my age think about the messages we are given in media, but somehow this is turned into ANALYZE EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME. Ya’ll I’m a grad student. I’m critical most of the time, when I come to my tumblr blog’s lawn I’m here mostly to have some fun, and hey sometimes my fun is being critical. But sometimes it isn’t. You do not have to always be critical. You do not have to beat yourself up for liking something that’s problematic or write an essay about why it is as if that’s your due diligence in stanning a fictional character. I’m going to be honest I used to kind of think I had to justify my likes once, especially because of the Cullen vitriol on tumblr. I worked overtime in my early fanfic efforts to try to prove to the world I knew Cullen was problematic for fear I’d be perceived as just an idiot horny fangirl. Well, let me tell you: I largely don’t think that way anymore. If I want to just enjoy writing some smut or reading some smut with him, I am. But I think there is a second part of this in Cullen fandom currently, a revisionism of his problematic elements. Now, if you have to do mental gymnastics with a character in an effort to ignore problematic elements, perhaps you don’t like the character that much. That’s totally okay. DA has many awesome characters to write about and stan.
So, why Cullen? For so many reasons a bit of a shit show has always followed this character. There’s a divide between fans and his detractors and sometimes there’s a divide within the Cullen fandom. What I can extrapolate for now is the need to keep him squeaky clean and safe and away from anything “problematic” because his of past, his templar roots, or the fact that he’s white when there are POC characters with less content. It reads as a guilt associated with liking him. But please, do not be guilty. He’s not real. Templars aren’t real, mages aren’t real, Cullen isn’t real. Here’s my advice, something I learned while in my directing class in college. What my teacher always said was direct what turns you on, direct a story that gets you thinking, gets you excited. What gets you thinking and excited in a fictional world may be tons of conflict and dramatics, or it may be peace and love. Sometimes it can be both or more. Don’t shame others for coming to a bakery and wanting blueberry when you want cherry, and the baker has both, especially if the baker labels each pie, especially if the recipe for the pie has some salt in it and people like the salt. We can have it all and enjoy it all. What we want in our fiction doesn’t always align with something we may want real life. Lots of people write Modern girl in Thedas stories. Ya’ll if that actually happened to one of us it would probably suck. I’d probably get killed and not even get to meet Cullen and pose around the desk to get things going, so I’d rather it not happen. However, it is fun to read about.
Again, don’t be guilty for liking Cullen, please. But if you have to do a lot of mental gymnastics to like Cullen, maybe you don’t like him at all. To that I say, there are many other amazing characters, or perhaps you could write your own.

-Little Crosby- |D. Cozens| [Part 7]
Part 7! Sadly, Ava and Dylan’s story will only have one more part but I can’t thank you guys enough for the love and support this story has gotten! I know @prettyboycozens and I have loved getting to write this and getting to hear from everyone supporting it!. So thank you for everything! Enjoy!!
A little over 6 hours later, we’ve made it into the delivery room. Dylan stands by my head while Dad is off to the side. I wasn’t planning on having him in the delivery room but as soon as they announced that it was time, I panicked and asked for Dad to be in there with me. He was leaning up against the wall, away from the action but within my eyesight, giving me comfort. He seemed pretty calm, but then again, Dad is really good at hiding his emotions. Dylan on the other hand, won’t stop pacing, muttering to himself and running his hands through his hair. Every once in a while, he comes back to my side and checks on me. But when the doctor comes into the room and tells us it’s time to push and that our baby boy should be here within the next few hours, Dylan freaks. He starts pacing even faster and the muttering he was doing before, turns into random yelling.
“Dylan you’re yelling and it’s not helping anything so please just shut up!” I say, biting my lip through more contractions.
“I’m never letting you have sex with me again.” I groan as the contractions get worse. He flips around, his eyes trained on me in a panicked stare.
“But I want more kids!” He says, rushing to my side. I shake my head and look over at him, trying to hide my annoyance.
“No! Your stupid dick got to have it’s fun once and that’s enough.” I grumble as the doctor comes into the room.
“Hey I’d be okay with that!” Dad says, injecting himself into the conversation for the first time in a few hours. Dylan flips around, trying very hard to not glare at Dad.
“Mr. Crosby, Mr. Cozens, if you can’t calm down, I’m going to have to ask both of you to leave.” The doctor says, crossing her arms and looking between the two of them. It takes everything in me not to lose my mind on the two of them.
“If you both don’t cut it out, I will kick you both out and have this baby by myself!” I say, glaring at them both. Dad nods and Dylan’s head lowers. He keeps his mouth shut and comes to stand by my head, taking my hand.
“Alright, Ms. Crosby. It’s time to start pushing. Are you ready?” Dylan’s grip on my hand tightens and he looks down at me. He smiles and for the first time in a few hours, I don’t feel like biting his head off.
“Let’s do this, Doc.” I say, biting my lip and smiling at Dylan.
“Alright, let’s bring baby boy Cozens into the world.”
A little over 2 hours later, I’m watching Dylan cradle our baby boy in his arms, tears streaming down his face. The sight of the two of them tugs at my heart and I let a few tears slip out.
“He’s perfect.” Dylan whispers, coming over to sit on the hospital bed next to me. The delivery went smoothly and within the hour, Dylan and I had our baby boy.
“He is. Honey, we need to talk about a name.” I say, watching him as he traces his thumb down the side of the baby’s face.
“We have our list don’t we? We can pick one off of there.” He says, one arm holding the baby close to him and the other wrapped around me.
“Yeah. What about Wesley? Wesley Blake? And we can call him Wes?” I ask, unable to keep my eyes off of Dylan and my baby.
“I like it. Wesley Blake. And then the last name…” Dylan asks, his voice trailing off.
“I want his last name to be Cozens. It’ll be easier since you’ll have the last name Cozens one day too.” Dylan says, looking over at me. The tears in my eyes well up again and I nod, not able to say anything.
“Hey while we’re on the subject of last names, I need you to start wearing this.” Dylan says, shifting Wes into my arms and pulling out a ring. I sit up a little straighter, my mouth falling open.
“Wait...what?” I say, trying to fight the tears threatening to rush out.
“I’m saying that I’m going to marry you one day. This is me proposing.” He watches me with eyes that pull me in and make me feel so loved.
“I already talked to your dad and your uncles. They’ve all given their permission. And I-I kinda figured you would wanna get married, especially with Wes now.” I smile and ghost my hand over his cheek, gently pulling him towards me and kissing him softly. And as we pull away, I glance towards the door of our room and see Dad standing there, looking through the window. He’s got a huge grin on his face and his eyes are red.
“We don’t have to get married right away but I like the idea of knowing I’m gonna marry you one day.” Dylan says, slipping the ring on my finger. I smile, laying my head on his shoulder as both of us look at Wes nestled in my arms.
“Hey Sweetheart, Dylan. Did you guys decide on a name?” Dad asks, coming into the room. I nod, smiling up at Dad.
“Yep, we did. Daddy, meet Wesley Blake Cozens.” I say, handing him off to Dad. He takes him, cradling him to his chest and smiling.
“Baby, he’s perfect. Congratulations.” I smile, menatally taking a picture of Dad with Wes.
“From what I heard, there’s some people in the waiting room who would love to meet you, little guy.” Dad whispers, obviously choked up. Dylan gets up and heads to the waiting room to start letting people come in and see the baby. He knows that Carter and Kirby would probably want to be the first ones in, since Wes is their godchild, so when they rush into the room, excited grins on their faces, I smile.
“Oh my gosh! He’s so cute!” Carter squeals, rushing over to Dad and taking Wes from him.
“Seriously Carter, I can’t even keep my grandson for more than 5 minutes? You gotta take him too?” Dad teases, hugging Carter to his side, confirming that he was just teasing.
“Don’t get any ideas, Carter.” Kirby says, looking down at her and Wes.
“I don’t have any ideas! At least not yet.” Kirby rolls his eyes and laughs. Dylan comes back from the lobby, all 3 of my uncles and their families tailing not far behind. All the aunts join Carter and coo over Wes. Taylor comes through the door, rushing over to hug me then joining the rest of the ladies. Dad and the uncles are standing off to the side, watching what is going on in the room.
“Hey Dyl? Your family is here.” I say, nudging him and pointing towards the door. He gets up, going to meet them and takes his parents over to meet their first grandchild.
“You know, we did a pretty good job with her.” I hear Dad say, over the voices filling the room.
“We did. She turned out alright.” Marc says, smiling and nodding. I smile and sit up to hug Dylan’s mom.
“Sweetheart, he’s beautiful. Congratulations.” Dylan’s brothers are hovering around Kirby who now is holding Wes.
“Wait so this means Ava’s stuck with us now right?” Luke asks, looking up at Dylan and then over at me.
“That’s the plan, yeah. What do you think about that, Luke?” Dylan asks, slinging his arm over his brother’s shoulder and looking down at Wes who Luke is holding now.
“I’d like her to stay around. She’s pretty and nice.” I smile, laying back against the pillows behind me.
As much as I love having everyone there for the birth of our son, it’s a little crowded in our room right now. And I wouldn’t mind it just being Dylan and I with Wes right now. But there’s plenty of time for that later.
Thankfully, everyone’s started to settle back out in the waiting room , taking over the chairs and couch. Carter and Kirby stayed in the room with us, watching all my nieces and nephews race up and down the hallway outside our room.
“Hey, you doing okay?” Dylan asks, sitting down on the bed next to me.
“I’ve never been happier. I’m exhausted but very happy.” I say, leaning against his shoulder and smiling.
“I like seeing you this happy. I love our little family. I love you, Ava Grace.” Dylan says, leaning over and kissing me softly. And after our cute little moment, suddenly Jack and Alex are wandering into the room, causing my eyebrows to shoot up.
“Dylan! Ava!” Jack calls excitedly.
“Hey Jack, Alex. What are you doing here?” Dylan asks, standing up and taking Wes from his brother.
“We wanted to come see the baby. Coley’s down in the gift shop.” Alex says, moving to stand next to Dylan and looking down at Wes.
“So this is your baby? What’s his name?” Jack asks, looking curiously at Wes.
“Wesley Blake Cozens. I’m still very confused why you’re here.” Jack shrugs and looks over at me.
“Hey congrats by the way, Ava. He’s a cute kid. Can I hold him?” He asks, turning back to Dylan. Dylan looks at me, a questioning look on his face and I nod.
“Jack so help me if you drop my child, I will get out of this hospital bed and strangle you.” I say, glaring at him as Cole walks into the room. He’s carrying a giant teddy bear and balloons.
“Baby Cozens!” Cole says, setting the bear and balloons down and moving to stand next to Jack.
“Awe cute baby!” Cole says, looking up at Dylan and I.
“The bear and balloons are for him. From all 3 of us. His name is Wesley, by the way.” Jack says, looking over at Cole. The 3 hockey boys spend a couple hours with us, passing Wes around and talking hockey. It makes me smile knowing how loved our baby boy is, just from everyone who has come to visit and see him, along with Dylan and I.
The rest of the evening, visitors, family and friends, doctors and nurses are in and out of our room. By the time visiting hours are over and everyone has headed home, Dylan and I are exhausted and Wes is sound asleep in his bassinet. Our room is also starting to fill up with gifts from people I don’t even know.
“We’re gonna need at least two cars to get all this stuff home.” Dylan says, yawning and looking at all the things piled up around the room.
“I don’t even know who half the stuff is from. Do we really need all of it?” I ask, sitting up and making sure Wes is okay in the bassinet next to my bed.
“What else are we going to do with it? We can leave some of it at your dad’s house so we have stuff for Wes there and then some at my parents’ house since we’ll be both places a lot. Maybe have Carter and Kirby take some to their apartment since we’ll go there too?” I nod, laying back against the pillows and looking up at him.
“I know I’ve been saying it a lot lately but I love you so much Ava. You and Wes are my entire world now.” Dylan says, wrapping his arms around me and resting his chin on top of my head. I snuggle into his chest and sigh.
“You’re stuck with me now. My plan worked.” I say, giggling a little as he looks down at me with a raised eyebrow.
“Your plan?” He asks.
“My plan to trap you. You’re the dad of my baby so now you’re stuck with me.” He laughs and I smile.
“I’m okay with being stuck with you for the rest of my life.” Dylan says, somehow hugging me closer.
“Well good because you’re gonna be stuck with me and my crazy family forever.” He smiles and kisses my forehead. And as my body finally gets to rest from the most chaotic 24 hours of my life, I realize how happy and at peace I feel. If you would’ve asked me two years ago where I saw myself in 2 years, I would’ve said in college for nursing. Never would I have dreamed that I would be this in love with the cute boy from the Leafs game, have had a kid with him and still somehow going to school to be a nurse. This is nothing like the future I had planned but I would never want anything to change.

Companion Guide: Ori Lavellan
Tumblr media
Original template from @dextronoms, art by @tzedekart
Inquisitor’s Name: Ori Lavellan
Alternate Name?: None
Race, Class, & Specialization: Elf, Mage, Spirit Healer/Fire
Varric’s Nickname for them: Firecracker
Default Tarot Card: Strength (bravery, compassion, protection)
How they are recruited: Ori is part of a group of Dalish elves from the Free Marches that have come to assist the rebel mages. She can be found in the Hinterlands, tending to the wounded in a refugee camp. She will initially be standoffish with non-mage or non-elf Inquisitors, but through conversation will reveal that a nearby group of bandits have stolen most of her medical supplies and she fears those she is treating will die without them. If the party locate the bandits and retrieve her supplies, the Inquisitor can ask her to join the Inquisition as they need talented medics such as herself.
Where they are in Haven: Ori can be found near the pier, past the soldiers, where she has set up a small fire and healer’s tent. She will be tending to the injury of a soldier resting on her cot, and she will be singing under her breath quietly. There is a cutscene with Cullen where the Inquisitor happens upon the end of an argument between the two, and observes Ori take a swing at the commander before storming off. The Inquisitor will comment on her aim, and Cullen will nurse a split lip. If the Inquisitor asks what the argument was about, Cullen will say that Ori grew up in Kirkwall and there are apparently wounds that are still raw.
Where they are in Skyhold: Ori will be outside the infirmary, watching the courtyard, though sometimes she may be either tending to injured soldiers, or observing the sparring ring. Most of her cutscenes take place in the courtyard area. With a high enough approval, the Inquisitor can inquire about her past, and she will divulge that she was born in the Kirkwall, that her parents were killed by Templars raiding the alienage looking for elven apostate children to take to the Gallows, and that she left to seek out her mother’s clan in around 9:34 Dragon. Her opening dialogue at Skyhold begins with her covering the body of a dead soldier, but thanking the Inquisitor for saving so many lives.

Approve -
Compassionate choices in judgements
Completing side quests that help civilians, mages or elves
Allowing the Grey Wardens to join the Inquisition
Picking the infirmary upgrade for Skyhold
Slightly Approve -
Killing Red Templars
Exploring Elven Ruins
Dialogue options that are chantry and templar critical
Things they Generally Disapprove of:
Greatly Disapprove -
Making the mages prisoners
Recruiting the Templars (without disbanding)
Reuniting Celene and Briala
Keeping Celene in power
Selling the Dalish history to the chantry
Clan Lavellan killed
Disapprove -
Supporting Cassandra as Divine
Allowing Morrigan to drink from the Well of Sorrows (Elf Inquisitor)

Mages, Templars, Other?: Ori is resolutely pro-mage. If recruited before In Hushed Whispers/Champions of the Just, and the mages are made prisoners or templars not disbanded, she will leave the Inquisition unless the Inquisitor is an elf or a mage, in which case she may be persuaded to stay, but she will still greatly disapprove. Several of her further dialogue options are locked off, and it will be impossible to complete her personal quest. If she is not sought out until after the quest and either of these choices were picked, she will be permanently unrecruitable.
Friends in the Inquisition: Varric, Iron Bull, Cole, Krem, Sera, Vivienne (if questioned about their differing positions regarding the Circles, Ori will remark that she and Vivienne disagree but she has a great deal of respect for her, and values her opinion highly).
Rivals in the Inquisition: Cullen, Cassandra, Morrigan Neutral towards: Dorian, Solas, Blackwall, Josephine, Leliana
Romanceable?: Ori is not romanceable by the Inquisitor, though flirt dialogues are available for all races and genders. If the Inquisitor is persistent enough, it will trigger a cutscene where the two are alone, and the Inquisitor leans in to kiss Ori. She will pull away and apologise, saying that she hadn’t meant to lead the Inquisitor on, but that she is in love with someone else. If Anders was romanced in DA2, Ori will remark that her affections are unrequited.

Small Side Quest: A Night of Revelry Ori will mention to the inquisitor that the elves that are part of the inquisition are feeling quite homesick, particularly the Dalish that have been separated from their clans, and she would like to hold a party for a night to allow the elves to celebrate their culture, with traditional Dalish songs and dances. If the Inquisitor agrees, Ori asks them to acquire some ingredients so she can help the kitchen make food in preparation. Once this is complete and the items delivered to the kitchen, a cutscene will trigger with Ori inside the Herald’s Rest who is stood on a table singing whilst a very large gathering of elves joins in, interjected with cheering and whistling. A space has been cleared for a dance floor and there is a band of elvish musicians playing where Maryden usually is. Ori will notice the Inquisitor as her song finishes, and she comes to talk to them and thank them for allowing them to have such a special evening.

Companion quest: Sanctum Santorum Note: This quest is only available when approval with Ori is very high. A cutscene will trigger where Ori is poring over a map, and will jump when the Inquisitor appears. She will look visibly nervous and flustered, and asks very seriously if she can trust the Inquisitor. The Inquisitor replies with yes, and Ori will then say she has managed to track an old friend to somewhere in the Emerald Graves and asks the Inquisitor to go with her and help find him. The next time Ori is in the party in the Emerald Graves, a small cutscene will trigger where she notices a mark on a tree and remarks that “he must be close”. The search function is then used to find three more signs (blood from an animal carcass, flattened grass from someone sitting or lying down, and the remnants of a fire,  the last being outside a well-hidden cave. A magical trap is triggered and the party must fight off several angry spirits. When combat ends, a cutscene is triggered of the Inquisitor and Ori creeping inside the cave at night. A spell comes flying out the dark and both characters dodge, then a voice shouts from further in “don’t come any closer!” The Inquisitor goes for their weapon and Ori places a hand on their arm and shakes her head. She then lights a flame, illuminating herself, the Inquisitor and most of the cave, shedding light on a small, dirty campsite situated right at the back, and a cloaked figure with a staff raised to attack. She then says quietly, “Anders? It’s me. It’s Ori.” The figure slowly drops their staff, then steps into the light and pulls their hood down revealing themselves to indeed be Anders. He squints at the pair for a moment, and upon recognising Ori, breaks into a smile and hugs her tightly. Dialogue then follows where Ori reveals her long-standing friendship with Anders and the Inquisitor can ask about their history. If questioned, Ori will say she supports Anders’ actions at the end of DA2, and will remark that it pained her to see a place of worship destroyed and lives lost as a result but after all the evil she’s seen, she knows it was necessary. After dialogue is finished, Ori will thank the Inquisitor for coming with her, and beg them not to say anything.
Option 1: Let Anders go. Ori will greatly approve of this choice. If this option is selected, the Inquisitor will promise to keep Anders’ location a secret, and hopes they can meet one day in better circumstances. Ori and Anders will say their goodbyes, and Ori and the Inquisitor will depart. Back at Skyhold a cutscene will trigger where Ori is sat by a window reading a letter and smiling, and when prompted, will say it is from Anders. She will thank the Inquisitor again, and say that she lost contact with him when she left Kirkwall to join her mother’s clan, so she’s glad he’s safe and that she can keep an eye on him again. If the kiss scene has been played, the Inquisitor can comment on Ori’s feelings for Anders, asking if he is the person she  had previously referred to. She will agree, and either comment sadly on Hawke being who makes him happy, (if he was romanced in DA2), or blush and say she hopes one day she will pluck up the courage to confess to him. There is a dialogue option for the Inquisitor to encourage this.
Option 2: Bring Anders back to Skyhold for judgement (unlocks the quest The Judgement of Anders).
Ori will greatly disapprove of this choice, and will be visibly upset, telling the Inquisitor she trusted them and feels betrayed, and will not listen to any justifications for this decision. It will be impossible to engage in dialogue with her until The Judgement of Anders is complete; the first attempt to do so will trigger a cutscene in the infirmary where Ori shouts at the Inquisitor, for all subsequent attempts she will simply reply “leave me, I have patients to care for”.
Follow-up Quest: The Judgement of Anders
Ori will be present in the main hall during this judgement.
If the Inquisitor pardons Anders, Ori will greatly approve. After the quest is finished, the next time she is interacted with, it will trigger a cutscene where the Inquisitor walks in on Anders and Ori holding each other, both crying and laughing. They break apart when they hear the Inquisitor, and Anders will smile at the Inquisitor, squeeze Ori’s hand and leave the room. Ori will then give the Inquisitor a tight hug, and thank them profusely. There will be dialogue about what Anders plans to do forthwith, and the Inquisitor has the option to invite him to stay on as healer at Skyhold, which Ori will greatly approve of. The Inquisitor will now also have the same dialogue options regarding her romantic sentiments from option 1. If Anders stays on as healer, then, Ori will then sometimes be found talking with him inside the infirmary. If not romanced in DA2, idle dialogue later in the game will imply that he and Ori have started a relationship.
If the Inquisitor conscripts Anders, Ori will have no approval change, but if the Inquisitor executes Anders, Ori will greatly disapprove and permanently leave the Inquisition.
Tarot card change:
Option 1 - If Anders let go: VI of Cups (reunion, healing, joy)
Option 2  - If Anders brought to Skyhold: X of Swords (betrayal, defeat, loss)
Option 3 - If Anders pardoned: The Star (hope, faith, renewal)
Option 4 - If Anders executed: III of Swords (heartbreak, suffering, grief)

Cole’s reflection on their thoughts:
“Panic. Screaming. Armor silver and sharp and unforgiving. Helplessness. Grief. So much anger. Family taken without warning. “In their blood the maker’s will is written”. A hole in your chest. Guilt. Guilt. Guilt. It’s my fault. I should have stopped it.”
“White lines where skin has healed but you still feel its bite. Dreams darkened by wretched smiles and pleas for mercy gone unanswered. Tears darken the dirt and water the roots of the tree that cries out in anguish for salvation that will never come.”
“So full of righteous fury. So determined to seek justice. A clenched fist, gritted teeth, a battle cry. An apron worn like armor. A voice for the voiceless. A flame inside that never dies. Always strong. Always caring. I will protect them. There is so much love inside you.”
“You love him. He sees you when no one else does. Words spoken through silence. Hazel eyes and healer’s hands. Soft smiles and gentle touches that feel almost holy. (If Anders was romanced in DA2) You whisper his name in the dark. It hurts that he doesn’t hear it, but you want him to be happy more than anything else.”

Comment(s) on Mages: (referring to the Circle) “No one deserves to be locked away for a circumstance of birth.” / “We’ve been fighting for so long. We just want freedom and peace.” / “Magic is a gift.” / “Our light will outlast this hatred.”
Comment(s) on Templars: “They claim to be peacekeepers, but they wield fear like a weapon.” / “I’ve never met a Templar I can trust. They’re all the same.”
When looking for something: “Keep your eyes sharp.” / “We should investigate.”
When finding a campsite: “We should rest.” / “This will be good for a camp.”
When the Inquisitor Falls: “Be more careful!” / “Not on my watch, Inquisitor!”
When they are low on Health: “It’s not wise to let your healer die!” / “Fenhedis!”
When they see a Dragon: “So beautiful, and so misunderstood. It is a privilege to behold such a creature.”
Default saying: "How can I help you?" / (high approval, teasing) “What needs healing this time?”

Travel Banter with Canon Companions:
Varric: It’s been a while, Firecracker. Ori: Indeed it has. It’s good to be adventuring with you again Varric. Varric: Just like old times! Though I suppose if we’re picking our favourite old times, I’d rather be drinking the liquor you and Daisy used to make than out here shooting demons. Ori: (laughs) I think the demons are easier to handle.
Cassandra: You are Dalish, Lavellan, but you were raised in Kirkwall? Ori: (curtly) Yes. Cassandra: Why did you leave? Ori: Templars murdered my parents. Cassandra: I’m sorry. Ori: I will not speak of them again. Not to you. Cassandra: What have I done to make you dislike me so? Ori: You stand for an order that has enslaved and murdered my people for generations, justify the imprisonment and oppression of mages, refuse to acknowledge the corruption in your own ranks and then choose to remain wilfully ignorant of why I have cause to distrust you. Cassandra: I… Ori: I would wish that you could spend a day in my shoes during my time in the alienage, Seeker, but I do not think you would survive it.
(If Anders was not romanced in DA2, and was invited to stay with the Inquisition after his trial) Iron Bull: So… Ori: So? Iron Bull: You and Blondie, huh? Ori: What about us? Iron Bull: Have you told him how you feel yet? Ori: I don’t know what you’re talking about.  Iron Bull: Sure. And I’m the Queen of Antiva.  Ori: Is it really that obvious? Iron Bull: Kid, you’re about as subtle as my horns. He’s about the only person in all of Skyhold that hasn’t noticed.  Ori: Oh sweet creators…
Vivienne: You are a very talented mage, my dear. Ori: As are you, ma’am. It is a privilege to watch you fight. I have learnt much. Blackwall: But you use different styles of magic? Ori: Frost and Fire are opposites yes, but Madame de Fer’s use of offensive ice magic informs my defensive fire, and vice versa. I learn how to better protect myself and exploit my enemy’s weakness. Vivienne: (smiling) Very astute my dear. We shall have to meet up to practice some time. Ori: I should like that very much, ma’am.
(if Blackwall was pardoned after his revelation) Blackwall: There have been many that have turned their backs on me, Miss Ori, but you have not wavered in your kindness. I am very grateful for that. Ori: I may disapprove of your original actions, Blackwall, but we have all done things we are not proud of. What matters is how we move forward.

Leaving the Inquisition: (what do they say or do if the approval is low enough for them to leave?)
Ori will leave the Inquisition if her approval becomes low enough, or after choices she disapproves of after In Hushed Whispers/Champions of the Just or The Judgement of Anders.
Ori will be found packing her bags in the infirmary. If this takes place after Anders’ execution, she will be seen holding his mage robes to her chest and weeping. She will not acknowledge the Inquisitor until her name is spoken, and then she will turn around, visibly shaken and upset.
“I trusted you. I thought you might actually make a difference, that you cared. But you are just like the rest of them. You stand here claiming to be holy and expect me to believe that your God - any God - would condone this? You are drunk on power and your heart is bitter and cruel. I will not assist your crusade or become complicit as you remain blinded to the corruption running through the heart of your ideals. May your name and memory be erased. I pray we never meet again, Herald.”

Best Friend
“It’s kinda sad really,” Jay said quietly, sighing and looking down at his hands, picking at the dry skin that cursed his knuckles.
“It’s not, Jay. Don’t be so hard on yourself, everyone has a crush on someone,” Kai said, putting a hand on his friend’s shoulder reassuringly.
“Not everyone has a crush on their best friend though,” Jay retorted, his shoulders sagging further, dragging his posture down with it. He closed his eyes and thought for a moment. Just a moment. Imagining what it would be like to actually be held by him, to hold his hand, to smell his cologne, but not just from afar. To smell it right off of his skin. To see him put it on every morning. The cologne he’d bought him. It was weird and borderline creepy, but it was true. He was clear as day in love with Cole.
“You’d be surprised,” Kai muttered, thinking about similar conversations he’d had with Cole, both regarding Jay recently, and Zane in the past.
“You got Zane to go on a date with you though. At least then he liked you back. Me and Cole have been best friends for years now, there’s no way he’d want to be any more than that,” Jay sighed, “I may as well accept it; I am destined to die alone.”
“Ok that’s a bit extreme Sparky, take a breath,” Kai said, his eyes widening at the sudden escalation, “and you really would be surprised,” He said under his breath.
“What?” Jay said, creasing his brow and looking at Kai.
“What?”
“You said something.”
“Yeah to stop being so melodramatic.”
“No after that.”
“I didn’t.” Jay rolled his eyes and looked away, continuing to brood over unrequited love. Kai, however, had a plan.
He wasn’t sure how much longer he could take it, seeing 2 of his best friends moping about assumably unrequited love; so Kai was going to be their cupid. The cupid that was probably going to be kicked in the balls for doing what he was about to do, but a cupid all the same. They’d thank him later. Hopefully.
“It’s been fun and all listening to you cry about Cole for half an hour Jay,” Kai said, standing up and stretching, “But! I have a life outside of your love life or lack thereof so I gotta go. Remember, just before I do go though,” Kai said, just before he opened the door, “Stop assuming things,” He finished, before leaving Jay with a wink and an empty room.
Jay sighed and flopped back onto his bed, staring up at his ceiling. It was an obsession, but not with a movie franchise. If you’re obsessed with a movie franchise or a TV show, people call you a dork and move on. When you’re obsessed with a person, however, people’s attitudes change a little, to say the least. It was taking over his entire being; He couldn’t eat, couldn’t sleep. In reality, he was coming down with something. A sickness that was deadlier than a gun. He had caught a big old case of love and he hated it.
However, the detrimental thing about most illnesses; you catch them off of someone else.
Kai smiled to himself, walking to the living room where Cole was sat playing some new game he’d gotten himself. What he’d done to deserve a new video game? Truth be told, Kai didn’t know, but he figured it was probably something menial, such as not eating all the cake they had.
“What’re you smiling at?” Cole said, throwing his controller onto the couch next to him in frustration as some small enemy killed him.
“Oh nothing, my dear Coley,” Kai said, picking up the controller and moving it away from Cole, sitting down next to him with the smug grin still plastered on his face.
“Quit it.”
“No.”
“Short-ass i swear I’ll put your phone on top of the refrigerator again if you don’t tell me,” Cole said, reaching over him and snagging his controller back, continuing to play the game.
“Fine, fine I’ll tell you if you’re gonna be like that,” Kai said pouting, “It’s just that a little birdy was telling me all his earthly desires and guess who was on the list?”
“A little… what the hell are you talking about?” Cole said, sparing a quick glance over at his friend who was smirking exceptionally wide.
“You could say, a little blue Jay was telling me his earthly desires. More like pouring his heart out. Jeez, he really does wear his heart on his sleeve,” Kai said, rolling his eyes and crossing his arms. He was going to make Cole beg him for this answer or he was going to figure it out himself.
“Blue what? I- wait you were talking to Jay? Did he say anything about me?” Cole said, falling off the edge of the world in his game accidentally as all his concentration relating to it evaporated, throwing his controller on the floor and turning to face Kai.
“Not more than a lot.”
“In what way? Was it like ‘he’s a good bro’ or something else?”
“Ah well. You see Coley, I’m under a vow of silence. My lips are sealed,” He said, making the motion of zipping his lips with his hand, locking them and throwing away the key.
“Dude. Stop.”
“No, no Cole I can’t! He told me in confidence, I don’t want to betray his trust.”
“Kai Smith I swear to God I’ll throw you to the never realm if you don’t tell me and you know I could if I wanted to.”
“You wouldn’t and couldn’t.”
“I would and could, you’re a twink and weight like 120 pounds when wet. I could throw you into next week with enough will power so spill the beans.”
“Alright alright, I’ll spill,” Kai said, holding his hands up in mock defeat as if he wasn’t already going to tell him eventually, “He’s totally into you dude.”
“You aren’t fucking with me?” Cole said, his eyes widening and his jaw dropping as a small blush crept into his cheeks and tips of his ears.
“Nah man, I wouldn’t do that,” Kai said shrugging innocently.
“Knowing you, you totally would,” Cole said, creasing his brow suspiciously.
“Nah bro I’d never. That’s a low blow, even for me but I’m being totally serious.”
“Pinky promise?” Cole said, feeling the butterflies in his stomach begin to reemerge and take over his entire being.
“Pinky promise. Now go talk to him, he’s convinced himself he’s gonna die alone so I don’t know if he should be left alone for too long.” Cole just laughed and jumped up, tripping over his controller and stumbling a little as he dashed towards the stairs, practically running up them on all fours. He stood at Jay’s door and composed himself, taking a deep breath and raising his hand to knock.
“Come in!” Jay’s voice rang from the other side of the door. Cole took another breath, the butterflies in his stomach making their way into his bloodstream, causing every part of him to tingle and tense in anticipation.
“It’s now or never Cole,” He muttered, wrapping his hand around the doorknob and twisting it, walking into Jay’s room.
“Oh, hey Cole,” Jay said with a small smile as he sat up on his bed, “What’s up?”
“Oh, nothing. Nothing much new anyway. What’s up with you?”
“Oh, nothing. Nothing important anyway,” Jay said with a chuckle, putting his phone down and swinging his legs over the edge of his bed and looking Cole up and down nervously, “Is there something you needed?”
“Huh? Oh! No no, it’s just- I just- Kai was telling me something and I kinda wanted to talk to you about it,” Cole said, his muscles further tensing as he fiddled with his hands, refusing to look Jay in the eyes. He knew if he looked up, Jay would see how red his face had gone. All the confidence he’ had downstiars with Kai was evaporated, he didn’t know what to say. How do you tell someone your friend told them their in love with you and you feel the same? Even further, how do you tell that to your best friend?
“What- What did Kai tell you?” Jay said nervously, his stomach doing a flip and nearly sending the contents of it back out onto his bedroom floor.
“I- well- here’s the thing he told me you- He said you… liked me,” Cole said, squeezing his eyes shut, afraid of what was coming next. He knew he needed to look up at Jay; if he didn’t, he knew he’d construe his actions negatively. Lifting his head up slowly, Jay was sat staring at him dumbfounded, his face a bright shade of pink. He looked like he was about to cry, throw up or both.
“I- well you know how Kai is, talks out his ass a lot so-” Jay said quickly, rubbing the stray tears out of his eyes. He couldn’t believe he’d told him. Kai had told Cole so now he was stood there, in his room, looking insanely uncomfortable and ready to tell him he didn’t want to be friends anymore. Jay could feel his lunch tossing around, threatening to make a reappearance. He couldn’t even feel mad, he just wanted to throw up and cry.
“That’s the thing, I uh- he promised me he was telling the truth,” Cole said, trying his best to smile, albeit nervously at Jay in an attempt to further tell him he wasn’t mad, though it didn’t seem to be working, so he quickly added, “and I- I won’t lie because we’re best friends and have been for years but like if it is true I- I wouldn’t be upset I’d actually be very- quite- pretty happy.” Cole looked down again and squeezed his eyes shut in an attempt to hide from his impending doom.
“Wait… Seriously?” Jay said, a fresh batch of tears, happy ones this time, swelled in his eyes.
“Yeah…” Cole said slowly, sucking his bottom lip into his mouth and biting into it until it began to bleed.
“Well in that case… Kai wasn’t lying,” Jay said, standing up and walking towards Cole slowly. Cole looked up and saw Jay moving towards him. He took in a deep breath and smiled, his own eyes pricking with tears. Jay looked in Cole’s eyes and wrapped his hands around his waist, resting his head against his chest.
Cole’s breath hitched, he panicked and lifted his arms slightly, before taking a deep breath and placing his arms over his shoulders and wresting his head on top of Jay’s. He looked up at him. Their faces were very close.
“Jay walker would you like to be my boyfriend?” Cole whispered. His breath was cool and fresh, with an after scent of coffee and what he assumed was chocolate.
“Cole Brookstone I’d be delighted to be your boyfriend,” Jay said with a smile.
“Would- would you mind if I kissed you?” Cole said, not wanting to overstep any boundaries already.
“Come here you softy,” Jay said, pushing his lips against Cole’s hard and fast. Cole jumped and his eyes shot open in surprise before he slowly sunk into the kiss and moved his hand up to Jay’s face and holding it gently as if it were some priceless artefact. Which it was. To him.
Kai sat smiling smugly to himself. He’d heard the majority of their conversation, he figured as cupid he deserved to know what happened, so not long after Cole had raced upstairs, he’d snuck after and positioned himself near the top step, low enough that no one could see him. Eventually, when he’d realised where the conversation was going and that they seemed to be handling it… decently at best, he made his way back downstairs and had positioned himself back on the couch, smugly grinning at the idea that he’d just made two love birds realise they were into each other. Nice.
“What’re you smiling about?” Zane said cautiously, sitting next to Kai on the couch and taking his hand subconsciously.
“I! Just got Cole and Jay to confess to each other!” Kai said proudly, smiling at Zane as if he’d just cured world hunger. Zane chuckled and rolled his eyes.
“Someone had to say something eventually. I don’t think I’ve ever seen two people pinning so hard and so obviously but neither of them notice. It’s crazy to think it didn’t happen sooner.”
“You do realise I tried dropping so many hints to you that I liked you right? But you were too boneheaded to pick up on any of those hints,” Kai said, raising his eyebrows with a laugh.
“In my defense you are also incredibly boneheaded, and those ‘hints’ you’re talking about could have been construed in anyway so stop it,” Zane said, looking over at Kai.
“Good thing you’re moronsexal,” Kai said softly, moving his face closer to Zane’s.
“It’s a good thing I am, I don’t know how I’d deal with you otherwise,” Zane said softly back, lifting a hand to Kai’s cheek and cupping it softly, pressing their lips together, closing his eyes.
All is right in the world, Kai thought as he kissed Zane, their bodies getting closer, any kind of distance between them was too much. To make it even better, he knew full well Cole and Jay were probably doing the exact same thing in Jay’s room.

DETROIT: BECOME BETTER
(Part 3: Connor)
Hello! This is my third, (but probably not final) Detroit: Become Human plot critique. But before we begin, I want to let everyone know that this post may not be as long as the others, since I'm actually quite happy with almost every aspect of Connor's story in the game.
As usual, disclaimers are needed: this is MY version of DBH, and if you have another version or you don't like mine, that's completely fine! Feel free to share it in the reblogs or even in your own post, just don't be rude. Thanks!
So just like the other posts, I'll do an outline of things I want to change in Connor's story, then I will rewrite it afterwards.
With that, let's begin.
So one of the only things I can think of that I dislike in Connor's story is how he deviated. Since his story is so focused around Hank, and getting to that father-son dynamic between them, the climax of Connor's story should include Hank. The fact that Connor deviated after a 2 minute conversation with Markus in-game, and not with Hank, never sat right with me.
I also, in general, want to see more of Connor's thoughts about deviancy. Throughout the game you see him in denial about his own deviancy and there are moments that the player can see him be like, "hey, I can really get behind this whole Android-freedom idea." But, we never really get a true insight into his thoughts about it, since he just swears that it's bad anyway. The game is literally called Detroit: Become human, so the objective is to obviously become human. If it was that important, Connor's specific thoughts and doubts about his own deviancy should be focused on way more. The only time we see a glimpse of Connor being frightened by deviancy, (especially deviancy within himself) is if the player chooses to find Simon on the roof instead of investigating the kitchen. If Connor finds Simon, he gets a glimpse into his emotions; He feels him die, and is traumatized. We need more of these moments. We can't just have Connor telling everyone that deviancy is bad up until the moment that he actually deviates.
So I think I'll add some moments where Connor is more personally/emotionally effected by deviancy; the highway scene with Kara and the Eden Club Traci's are 2 examples.
Him saying "I just decided not to shoot" (one option that the player could have chosen) when talking to Amanda about the Traci's never sat right with me. An Android can't just decide not to shoot. That's not how deviancy works. Connor has to see humanity in the androids he spares, he can't decide not to shoot them on a whim, or a hunch. There has to already be something in his progamming that allows him to empathize with them- having him not shoot the traci's for no reason is unrealistic. It's just lazy writing!!
I also want to change the scene where Connor deviates, as you would know if you read my other DBH plot critiques. I think I share this sentiment with a lot of other fans, but the deviant scene with Markus and Connor (or north, if the player got Markus killed) always felt flat to me. There are no emotional stakes. The one person who allowed Connor to feel emotions in the first place- HANK- should be the one to help him deviate. What connection do Markus and Connor have? What stakes (other than imminent danger) does Connor face if he deviates while Markus talks to him?
these are questions that don't really have an answer in-game. Canonically, Connor is very to-the-book, and is a stickler for rules. He isn't outgoing, a natural leader, extroverted, or otherwise emotional- AKA the things that would make it easier for him to deviate- so he would need someone, or something, to bring out enough emotion in him to deviate completely. Connor is cold, calculating, and introverted. Hank brings out the emotion in him, which is exactly why hank would bring out his deviancy, too.
So, with that, how would Connor's new and improved story go? Well, like I said before, mostly everything will go the same as it did in the game, because I overall like Connor's storyline the best plot-wise. His is the most logical out of the three, so I'll start with the more minor things I would change about his character.
The first thing is a general emotion I would like to add: empathy. Yes, we see Connor develop empathy for Chloe at kamski's house, but that's late in the game. For Connor to have true emotions that make sense with his cold, calculating character, we need to plant these seeds in his personality from the beginning.
Overall, I'd make him more empathetic. As a police detective, he would need empathy when deciding if a suspect is guilty or not, so it would make sense for him to easily understand both people and androids. Maybe we see this amp up the stakes at the Eden Club- he makes an offhand comment about how gruesome the man's murder was,how unfortunate it was for him to choke to death, or even "how it was a shame that the android died like this."
Hank would look at him and say something like "what's the problem? It's a piece of plastic, there's probably ten copies of her back in the storage room" (He's still drunk from the "Russian roulette" section of the game, so he's easily annoyed)
And he might even comment about how the android didn't die, it was just shut down. Connor doesn't recognize his error in judgement; I want this whole empathy thing to come to him naturally at first, and he only notices it when hank points it out after they leave Kamski's house. Empathy to Connor is completely natural, so he wouldn't question it (or he would forget to pretend) if he slipped up. Hank would notice, though. He probably would only say the thing about the Traci being plastic just to test him.
But that's where the player really starts to notice his empathy, and notice that Connor may be on the way to becoming deviant. Well, what about the Kara chase scene? What about the interrogation with Carlos' Android?
For that whole section of the game, I want everything to remain almost the same. I don't want the player to have an option to tell hank where that the Android is in the attic, (since it's too early in connor's story for him to empathize with androids that much) but I do want him to maybe hesitate for a moment. Let him be unsure, but for a split second. His eyebrows scrunch up slightly, confused at why he isn't so sure if the android should be brought in. He does it anyway, of course, but I still want that millisecond of doubt to be there.
Next is the highway scene with Kara. That moment where they lock eyes through the fence was very powerful, and I'm disappointed that the game didn't do more with it.
Maybe, in my version, he looks at her in the eyes and begins to say something- a signal to the cops to stop chasing her, perhaps?
I don't know, but he doesn't get the chance to say it. Kars sees the cop behind Connor and runs to the highway before he can get a word in. He doesn't take long to shake off the familiar feeling of confusion before he's running towards the highway, too, much to hank's chagrin. Or, if you want to highten the stakes slightly, you could make Connor stay behind the fence. Maybe he does this because Hank won't let him go, or because he doesn't actually want to chase Kara, I don't know. But, I think that's the scenario I'm gonna go with for the purpose of tension.
Connor doesn't get a chance to ponder his slip up until later, when he goes to reconcile with hank at the Chicken Feed restaurant. In-game, there's an option to ask hank why he didn't let him chase Kara on the highway, and hank tells him that he could have been killed. In my version, I want hank to follow up that statement shortly after.
"Why didn't you try to hop the fence earlier, though?"
Connor doesn't know what he means.
"What?"
"You took, like, a whole ten seconds to stare at her. Fuckin' creepy, watching two robots gaze into eachothers eyes. I thought you two were communicating telepathically or some shit."
Connor pauses, and makes up a half-true excuse.
"I was... examining it. Trying to decipher it's motives, and figure out what it was going to do next."
And that's pretty much it from both of them. Hank got the answer he wanted, so he goes back to eating his meal. Connor, however, has many things to think about.
This is the second time we Connor display empathy, but it still isn't really touched on too much. It's too early in the game for the player to truly notice his deviancy. But, until their meeting with Kamski, there's a lot of will-he-won't-he energy floating around.
I don't think that there's much I would change about their actual meeting, though, so we'll just move on to the moment that Connor deviates.
Yes, I do want him to be on the brink of deviancy when Kara and Markus speak with him. Since he's more empathetic, he would naturally be shaken by the suffering he's seen while in jericho. The wounds will be raw, so to speak.
But obviously, he doesn't quite get there. The police helicopter interrupts them, and Connor comes back to his senses just in time. He escapes Jericho only to find that hank had come looking for him; Turns out that Hank's opinion on Androids had done a complete 180, and he followed Connor because he didn't agree with him hurting people who just wanted to be free. Connor tells him that he wasn't, in fact, going to hurt anybody. Well, he was, at first, but since seeing everyone in Jericho, he doesn't know what to feel.
I don't know exactly how this conversation would go, but I feel like hank would be touched by Connor's willingness to help people in need. I also want him to connect both Connor and Cole together in some way, and inform Connor that he reminds him of his son. This of course is done in a long, sappy speil.
Hank takes a long time to gather the words (or perhaps, courage) to say what he needs, but after a minute, he says, "even when you were hunting down those plastic fuckers, you were determined to do what you thought was right. My son... he was like you, in that way. Always knew what he wanted, and when he saw someone who needed help, you couldn't tell him otherwise."
He'll chuckle dryly for a moment, reminiscing, and continue.
"he wanted to be a firefighter when he grew up. Said that he couldnt stand the thought of all those people in trouble, scared for their lives. I don't know where he got it from. 'Much better person than me, I'll tell you that."
Hank sighs, somber, and looks down at his feet.
Connor stays silent.
"He's what got me through all the tough times; he just wanted to do what was right. I admired that in him, and it made me better. Now, I think this crap that we're in is the exact same."
And, after pausing for a moment and turning to face Connor completely, he says, with a tone of finality not fit for someone like him,
"You're the same, Connor. Before, you were only doing what you were told. Now you're being shown something different. Which one will you choose?"
Connor doesn't know what to say. He doesn't even know if he should say anything. He goes to move towards Hank, to seek guidance from him, to comfort him, he doesn't know.
a command; big, bright red, and incredibly simple, keeps him in place.
"STOP KARA AND MARKUS"
He decidedly breaks through the controlling red walls bit by bit, and a new clarity floods through him at once. It's as though he feels everything and nothing at the same time. In between knowing exactly what to do, and knowing nothing about it.
He's confused.
Elated.
Scared.
Determined.
Connor looks at hank, and hank looks back. With a small, knowing smirk, he says,
"Go do what you need to do, son."
And he does.
Connor runs to go help other Androids off of jericho. He doesn't take as active of a role as he did in-game, but we all know he isn't the type to just sit around and wait for it to be over. He does whatever he can to help, and even guides some androids to the abandoned church where we seeJericho regroup later.
After this, everything goes the same as it does in-game until the end EXCEPT for Hank being held at gunpoint in Cyberlife tower. I never understood why the developers did that, except for the obvious reason that the player needed to know exposition about Cole when Hank questions Connor. Unless I'm forgetting certain dialogue from the game, I can't remember the reason that Hank would even show up to Cyberlife anyway.
Well, whatever. That scene goes just as it does in game, just smoother and without the second, more sinister version of Connor holding hank at gunpoint. I don't really know why the developers added him in this scene, either. He doesn't really contribute much to the plot other than raising the stakes.
So, Connor returns with the newly recruited Cyberlife army to aid Kara and Markus, who had just finished negotiating with the police and making speeches.
Obviously, there are multiple endings to the revolution, but for purity's sake, I'm sticking with the successful-revolution pacifist route because it's easier on my conscience.
And obviously, there is the post-credit scene that the player gets if they maintain "friend" status with Hank by the end of the game. I feel like, since Hank admitted to seeing Connor as his son, there can be another tier added: "family."
(Come on, that's so cute.)
~~~
But otherwise, I think that's it for Connor's Detroit: Become Human plot critique! I believe I covered all the bases I wanted to change, but let me know if there was anything else to add!
After this I might expand this series to other characters or aspects of the game, so keep your eyes peeled for those posts sometime in the future.
Also, I just wanted to say that I haven't read this over before posting it, so there might be errors with spelling, grammar, or general pacing of sentences. Sorry about that!
Anyway, I think that's all I have to write! Let me know if there are any specific characters or concepts you'd like my take on, and don't be shy to give feedback! Thanks for sticking with my long ass posts about this incredibly niche interest of mine.
Have a wonderful day :)
Hawke as Companion
Template by @little-lightning-lavellan
Is your OC a Companion in the Dragon Age series? What would it be like for a player to select them to join their party for quests (or romance them, perhaps? 👀)
I did originally plan on doing this for my Inquisitor but, as always, I've got Hawke brainrot instead, and I figured writing some companion interactions would be so much more interesting with her as a companion than my Lavellan. This got .... very long.
Tumblr media
You have selected RIAN to join your party!
Race: HUMAN
Gender: FEMALE
Class: MAGE
Specialization: BLOOD MAGE
BACKGROUND
Marian Elaine Hawke, known also as “Rian”, “Chuckles”, “Champion of Kirkwall” and “Hawke, NO” was born in 9:06 Dragon to Malcolm and Leandra Hawke. Despite having to keep her father's magic a secret, she was never led to believe that magic was anything but a gift. Therefore, she spent much of her younger years experimenting to see if she could produce magic, eventually managing at age 9 to light the fireplace with a tiny fireball.
Growing up, she was attached to Malcolm at the hip - the two of them shared not only their magic but their senses of humor and general chaotic energy.
After the Hawke family fled Lothering during the Blight, Hawke joined Athenril’s smugglers to pay off her entry into Kirkwall. As soon as she met Varric at the start of Act 1, they became inseparable best friends - Hawke often cites Varric as her soulmate and the platonic love of her life. During the Deep Roads expedition, Carver became infected with the Blight, and with the help of Anders, Hawke was able to lead him to the Grey Wardens so he could join their ranks.
Over the years, she developed close relationships with most of her companions except for Aveline and Sebastian. Her friendship with Merrill eventually developed into a committed romance, and Hawke started to practice blood magic after recognising that Merrill could do so without being "evil". The two of them eventually also developed feelings for Isabela, and as such she joined their romance as well.
By Act 3, Hawke had become a staunch supporter of mage rights, a dedicated member of the Underground, and wholeheartedly supported Anders’ choice to destroy Kirkwall’s Chantry.
Following the destruction of the Chantry, Hawke and her friends fled Kirkwall, splitting up despite Hawke desperately wanting them to remain together. Isabela and Merrill chose to remain with Hawke, and the three of them traveled across the Free Marches, occasionally running into Anders and assisting him in rescuing mages from rebelling Circles. Eventually, Isabela managed to acquire a new crew, and her partners were more than happy to sail with her as she established herself once again as the Queen of the Eastern Seas.
INQUISITION
Depending on the player’s choices in Here Lies The Abyss, Hawke can be convinced to stay and help the Inquisition further instead of accompanying the remaining Wardens to Weisshaupt, becoming a full companion. She will move to sit with Varric by the fire in the main hall. Hawke will also be present in Varric’s companion cutscene where he invites the Inquisitor to play Wicked Grace.
Upon first being recruited to the Inquisition, Hawke’s specialisation is not available - when automatically leveled, she will put points primarily into the Inferno and Storm trees. Her unique specialisation, Blood Mage, only becomes available if the Inquisitor has allied with the mages at Redcliffe. At that point, Hawke will initiate a conversation with the Inquisitor about their opinions on blood magic, and if the Inquisitor states that they have no problem with it, her specialisation will open. Otherwise, she will refuse to admit her use of blood magic to the Inquisitor.
At this point, Hawke will also speak more openly about her support of Anders. She will eventually admit that they are still in contact, though she won't tell the Inquisitor anything that could give them an idea of Anders’ whereabouts.
Her specialisation is not open to the Inquisitor, however Hawke can offer to teach a mage Inquisitor "a neat trick", which will give the player the choice to replace their current Focus ability with Hawke's.
BLOOD MAGE
Upon unlocking Hawke's specialisation, she will gain a large increase to her Constitution but her mana bar will become considerably shorter, and conventional healing effects will only operate at 25% efficiency. If she is out of mana, she will automatically revert to using her health pool to power her spells instead.
Her spell tree is very similar to the Dragon Age 2 Blood Mage tree, however it does not include the Blood Slave ability - it is instead replaced with Blood Bomb, which is a variant of Walking Bomb. Instead of applying a damage over time curse to a target, Hawke channels a spell that corrupts the targets' blood from the inside until the target dies - at which point they explode, doing damage to nearby enemies. This spell continually consumes Hawke's mana and health while it is being channeled.
Her Focus ability is Major Sacrifice, a variant of the Knight-Enchanter's Resurgence. Instead of healing the party to full health and providing an ongoing healing aura, Major Sacrifice will instead heal the party to full health but take 25% of Hawke's current health, and will provide an aura of ongoing damage to nearby enemies, converting their health into health for the party.
VARRIC'S PERSONAL QUEST IN VALAMMAR
If the Inquisitor brings Hawke to Valammar, she will be suspiciously quiet throughout the quest - though she will pipe up to complain about the Darkspawn. Following the reveal that Bianca shared the location of the thaig, Hawke will be furious and will argue with her.
Upon returning to Skyhold and speaking to Varric, the cutscene will begin in the middle of a conversation between him and Hawke.
HAWKE: You deserve better, you know. VARRIC: Yeah, you've said that before. HAWKE: It bears repeating. As many times as it takes to get it through your thick head. You deserve so much better. VARRIC: *sigh* Thanks, Chuckles.
APPROVAL AND ROMANCE
Hawke is not romanceable, though she welcomes playful flirting from a female Inquisitor. She will eventually initiate a conversation where she makes sure the Inquisitor isn't expecting the flirting to go anywhere further, as she is already in a relationship.
RIAN APPROVES OF: Supporting mage freedom, open-mindedness with magic and spirits, sarcasm, humor, stealing from nobility, pranking nobility, loyalty to your friends, being nice to Varric, terrible puns.
RIAN DISAPPROVES OF: Chantry rhetoric, the Circles, Templars, Tranquility, authority, betraying your friends, ignorance, pomposity, being mean to Varric.
Hawke will not leave the Inquisition, even if her approval is at Hostile. When questioned about this, she will say:
HAWKE: Did you miss the part where Corypheus is my responsibility? I’m going to fix my fuck-up, Inquisitor. If I have to put up with you while I do it, then, well … I’ve always said the Maker has a sick sense of humor.
TRESPASSER
Following Corypheus' defeat, Hawke leaves the Inquisition to rejoin Merrill and Isabela.
Once Trespasser is started, Hawke can be found accompanying Varric and Bran to the Winter Palace.
During exploration of the Eluvians, if both Hawke and Varric are in the party, they will briefly discuss how excited Merrill would be by all this, and Hawke will say "You'd better be writing all this down, Varric."
She will approve of redeeming Solas, though she won't disapprove if the Inquisitor decides they would rather kill him.
High Approval
If Varric has chosen to give the Inquisitor an estate in Kirkwall, Hawke will pipe up during the conversation saying she's excited to be neighbors, offering to give the Inquisitor the key to her wine cellar - though she will complain that Varric has never given her control of the harbor, to which Bran will mutter "thank the Maker".
Regardless of the Inquisition's fate, Hawke will return to her lovers, occasionally keeping in touch with the Inquisitor via letters.
Low Approval
If the Inquisitor has low approval with Hawke, they will be informed that she left as soon as the Inquisitor stepped back out of the Eluvian following the final confrontation with Solas. The epilogue slides will state that her whereabouts are, once again, unknown.
LOCATION COMMENTS
(first time seeing a High Dragon) *laughing* "Oh, this will be fun!" IF VARRIC IS IN THE PARTY: "Hawke, the last time you fought one of these you nearly died." "Yeah, but I didn't die. That's the important thing."
(approaching a campsite) "Well ... I've slept in worse places."
(when collecting a Shard) "Let me guess. We have to collect a stupid amount of these for a really stupid reason, and they're all going to be in really stupid, hard to reach places. *sighs* I love adventuring."
HINTERLANDS
"Have we been here before? Feels like we've been here before."
(upon unlocking the cabin in Redcliffe with the Tranquil skulls) "That's ... fucking Maker. Tranquil have always made me uncomfortable but ... they were still people. They were still... shit, I need a second."
FALLOW MIRE
"Eugh, that smell! Worse than my dog when he's eaten cheese, and that's saying something."
(upon killing Widris) "Something, something, crazy mages ... "
"Oh, walking corpses. That's nice."
STORM COAST
(upon seeing the dragon vs giant fight) *laughing* "Oh, that's brilliant!"
"Not to sound like Varric, but why are there so many bloody hills around here? My legs hurt."
EXALTED PLAINS
"Maker, I hate Orlais."
(finding Valorin's corpse) *sighs* "Might sound a little hypocritical coming from me, but ... blood magic is not for the careless."
(seeing the ruined bridge, if Varric is in the party) "Hey Varric - " "Don't you dare, Hawke." "C'mon, please?" "You are not tossing me!" "Spoilsport."
EMERALD GRAVES
"I've always thought it was beautiful how the Dalish bury their dead under a tree sprout. Like ... I don't know, maybe death doesn't have to be the end."
HISSING WASTES
"There's sand in ... places. So many places."
"Have I said I hate sand? Because I hate sand."
EMPRISE DU LION
(seeing Red Lyrium) "Maybe don't touch that. It'll do all kinds of weird shit to you."
"I'm fucking freezing. When can we go home?"
(seeing Red Lyrium giants) "What the fuck?"
(Elfsblood River rift - near the lady with titsicles) *giggles*
SHRINE OF DUMAT
"I'm getting the weirdest sense of deja vu." IF VARRIC IS IN THE PARTY: "You're not the only one."
DEEP ROADS (THE DESCENT)
"Why do I always end up back in the Deep Roads? Am I cursed?"
COMPANION COMMENTS
VARRIC: "I was worried about what would happen if I brought her here, but ... it's nice to have Hawke around again."
CASSANDRA: "I have to admit, I do admire the Champion. A woman who built herself up from nothing to defeat the Arishok ... there's a certain romance to Varric's stories about her."
SOLAS: "I've been informed that Varric also calls Hawke "Chuckles". I ... don't see how we are similar."
DORIAN: "Hawke? Oh, I like her. She's not as daft as she acts."
BLACKWALL: "The other night, I found her getting teary-eyed in the tavern over how much she misses her dog. Don't quite know what to make of that, really."
VIVIENNE: "She is a powerful mage, I'll give her that, but she's also a naive fool. No wonder Kirkwall fell to pieces around her."
IRON BULL: "She's fun. Got a lot going on in that head she doesn't talk about, though."
COLE: "Fleeing, fighting, falling. Failed father, failed mother, failed Beth and Carver too. Fire and freedom, and she knows it's right but it still feels wrong. Old wounds that never healed, sometimes she can still taste the blood in her mouth. You chose to save her. She wishes you chose differently."
SERA: "Thought she'd be scary, but she makes me laugh. Hasn't let owning a mansion get to her head, either, and have you seen those arms? She's strong."
CULLEN: "I'd ... rather not talk about her, if you don't mind. We've a less than friendly history."
JOSEPHINE: "Lady Hawke is charming, certainly, but I cannot imagine her being popular amongst her neighbours in Hightown. She throws the very concept of decorum bodily out of the window."
LELIANA: "I knew her when she lived in Lothering. She didn't seem to like the Chantry much, but she was always sweet, and her jokes made me laugh. It's a little odd to see the woman she's grown into."
TRIVIA
Malcolm also made sure he trained Hawke in using a sword. She's not very good at it, preferring instead to use her staff as a melee weapon if an enemy gets too close.
She has a mean right hook.
Her and Varric have matching tattoos on their left buttcheeks.
Despite being Ferelden and adoring her own mabari, Hawke has a preference for cats.
She's awful at singing. She sings a lot anyway.
“Unexpected.” - Part 1 Cillian Murphy x fem!Reader
Requested by @fifty-shadesof-tommyshelby
Summary: (Y/N) gets a chance to go to the sets of her favourite series, Peaky Blinders, but the day doesn’t go as planned.
Warning: mention of death
Part 2 can be found here
Tumblr media
‘It’s just a birthday, he’s a busy man. He’ll come by later, I guess…’  (Y/N) tried to console herself as her uncle, Neil, hadn’t come to visit her on her birthday like he did every year.
Neil was her closest and only family after her parents died in a plane crash. She could always rely on him and talk to him about anything and everything. He was (Y/N)’s best friend. But, he was a costume designer and therefore, a very busy man. Neil had told her in a recent phone call that he wouldn’t be able to make it for her birthday because of work. Speaking of work, he had been hired as the costume designer for her favourite Netflix series of all times, Peaky Blinders.
(Y/N) had been ecstatic when she found out and almost begged him to let her come to the sets with him. She loved the cast and wanted a chance to meet them. In particular, she wanted to meet Cillian Murphy. She had been his fan since she saw him on Batman Begins. Actually, that would be an understatement, she was basically in love with him and had accepted the fact that it was just a celebrity crush which she could do nothing about.
Coming back to the point, (Y/N) was a bit sad when Neil said he couldn’t make it but was hurt when he didn’t even call. It wasn’t like him to miss her birthday.  As she was laying on her bed, tired after a chaotic day of celebrating her turning a year older, she heard a creak from outside her room.
She shot up straight and got out of her bed, walking towards her door, grabbing one of her textbooks from her study table to use as a weapon on the way – great choice, (Y/N). A textbook? Seriously?
Opening her door as quietly as she could, she stepped out into the hallway, trembling, with the textbook held above her shoulder, ready to strike someone.
(Y/N) gasped as she felt someone poke her shoulder from behind and turned around, smashing the bundle of maths problems on the side of their face.
“Ah!” She heard a familiar voice wince as she fumbled around for the switch to turn on the lights.
“Uncle Neil?” (Y/N) called out, looking at him in surprise as the lights came on. “You scared me to death, you prat!” She grinned, walked up to him and slapped his upper arm before hugging him.
“Why a textbook, though?” He said, rubbing the side of his face as they pulled away. “A bloody heavy one too.” She felt a bit guilty, but he was the one that snuck in her house, so she laughed at his expense.
They both laughed and talked for a while, having walked into the kitchen, sitting on the barstools with cups of coffee and biscuits in front of them. He still hadn’t wished her ‘happy birthday’ but she let that slide knowing he was a bit absent minded at times and meant no ill-will. Just as she thought this, he suddenly stopped speaking and his eyes widened as he looked at her.  “I almost forgot!” He reached into his backpack and pulled out a lanyard with an ID card attached. “Happy birthday!”
“Finally! I was beginning to think that you actually forgot.” She took the lanyard and hugged him saying a quiet but excited ‘thank you’ before sitting back.
(Y/N) looked at the lanyard confusedly at first but when she turned the ID card, her eyes widened as she read the words written on it, and she froze. She read it, then read it again just to confirm. On it, it said in bold print letters:
VISITOR’S PASS - PEAKY BLINDERS
“AHHHH!” She screamed in excitement and hugged a laughing Neil with such force that he would have definitely fallen if he was still sitting on the bar stool.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Do I look okay?”
“You look gorgeous, (Y/N). Let’s go now, we don’t want to be late now do we.” Neil urged her to get out of the house but couldn’t keep the smile off his face as he saw her skipping down the driveway in excitement.
After three hours of driving and Neil answering (Y/N)’s questions about the set and cast and everything in between, they finally reached.
“Let’s go!” (Y/N) pulled Neil to the entrance as they got out of the car. The guard standing in front of the door checked their identification and smiled when he saw (Y/N) grinning, flashing her visitor pass to him. Neil chuckled as he led her down to the sets.
He dropped off his gear in the room assigned to him and checked the time.
“Okay, they’ll be coming in any minute now,” Neil started and went on to tell her of all the rules and things she needed to take care of. She listened obediently even though she could barely contain her excitement.
Some minutes later, the actors and actresses arrived in short intervals of each other.
“Oh, hello! Who’s this pretty lady, Neil?”
“Helen, meet (Y/N), my niece, and (Y/N), this is-” Neil was cut off by (Y/N).
“Helen McCrory, I know, I’m a big fan, ma’am!” (Y/N) gushed about everything she loved about her acting without sounding too creepy or cringy and Neil was thankful for her staying composed and not jumping on her.
Helen found, for whatever reason, she was enjoying talking to (Y/N). They talked for a while before being interrupted by the Cole brothers. They were slowly joined by almost all the cast members including Paul and Tom but not Cillian, all of whom had taken a liking to (Y/N) immediately due to her friendly and excited demeanour. Neil watched on in amazement at how she managed to win all their hearts in less than 20 minutes and that thought couldn’t keep a smile off his face.
“What’s going on here?” A voice (Y/N) knew all too well made an appearance. She snapped her head to the source of the voice and froze. She was standing in the same vicinity of the man she had the biggest crush on, the one and only Cillian Murphy.
“Neil was just introducing his lovely niece here.” Sophie gestured to (Y/N) and smiled at her.
“We have work to do so can we focus on that, please.” As Cillian said this, he had an annoyed and frustrated expression on his face. “We don’t have time for visitors right now.”
The cast members looked at each other in surprise because Cillian never acted this way; he was always the nicest, most kind person on the set.
After (Y/N)’s initial shock dissipated, she had the biggest of smiles on her faces which was now tinged with hurt, hearing Cillian say that. The cast surrounding her looked at her and gave her sympathetic smiles, some hugs and promises to meet after shoot as they started walking away.
“You should leave before you break something or ruin a scene,” Cillian said before walking ahead of the everyone who had turned to look at them when they saw him approach (Y/N).
Everyone was shocked, to say the least. They could clearly see that something was troubling him but they sure as hell didn’t appreciate the way he was treating their new-found friend. Looking at (Y/N), they could see the hurt in her expression clearly with the way she was looking down, lips trembling.
(Y/N) had never felt such a sharp pain in her heart as she did now. Cillian’s words had cut through her like a hot knife, leaving her with no choice but to go as far away from him as possible.
So, once everyone had left to continue on with their work, with a heavy heart and tears threatening to fill her eyes, she ran. She left the sets and kept running until she felt sudden stabbing pain in her leg.
Great, this day is just going so well. She thought to herself as she sat on a nearby bench and pulled the sharp stone out of her sole which had pierced through her sandals, leaving her foot bloody. Her tears fell then, like white hot metal down her face.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Neil felt like it was all his fault; he was the one that brought her here with the promise of her meeting her crush. He never would have imagined that Cillian would act the way he did. He went to his room on the sets, hoping to find (Y/N) there so he could speak to her.
“Hey, (Y/N)?” Neil knocked on the door before opening it. He looked around for the familiar head of (Y/H/C) hair but dread filled him when he didn’t see anyone. Picking up his mobile phone, he dialled her number and a bit of relief touched him when he heard her familiar ringtone somewhere around the sets.
He walked out to where everyone else had gathered and looked around for (Y/N). His hopes quickly vanished when he saw her bag on the floor near a wall in which her phone was ringing.
“Has anyone seen (Y/N)?” Neil asked the cast members as they all turned to look at him with concerned expressions.
“Wasn’t she with you?” Helen inquired as she too looked around hoping to see a glimpse of her.
“No, she ran off. I thought she’d go to my room but there’s no one there.” Neil ran a hand through his hair, guilt coursing through his veins.
They asked the guard at the gate if he had seen (Y/N) and he told them that she had ran out about 2 hours ago.
As everyone spread out, some by foot, some by cars and bikes, Cillian was left alone with his thoughts.
Earlier that day, he’d gotten into a bad fight with his brother over some family issue. Then, he had to deal with idiots in the traffic while driving to the sets. Lastly, he had spilt his much-needed coffee on himself meaning that he had to go back home, change, buy another coffee and then come onto the set 20 minutes late. He’d had a very testing day but his patience broke when the producer met him at the entrance and told him off for being late to the set.
To add fuel to the fire, no one was even ready to shoot as they were all standing around someone happily chatting away. He snapped then. Telling off an unsuspecting fan, his good friend Neil’s cousin at that.
Cillian was almost 100% sure that he was the one that scared her away with his rude behaviour and that killed him as he realised this. She had looked so happy with that big grin on her face that he had successfully managed to wipe off with a few hurtful words.
He put his face in his hands as he sat on his chair. Cillian only had one string of thoughts going around his mind: This is my fault. I have to find her and apologise. She didn’t deserve this.
