The absolute nerve of people to whine about ‘misogyny’ when Rose is caught doing drugs but the fact that her fandom is regularly calling other female idols sluts, shaming, misgendering bts and joke about them being rapists. Somehow women are victim only when it comes to blackpink but other female idols aren’t victims of misogynist attacks by bp’s fandom?? Make it make sense. I just saw an article trying to victimize Rose and how people exposing her for ‘allegedly’ doing drugs (literally not even exposing, the photo is right there lmao) is misogyny and evidence of how women suffer in the industry. Like can you imagine being that brain dead? Can you imagine using what female idols go through to defend your fav who’s in the wrong? Blinks always have to make Bp the victims. It’s an insult to actual female idols who’ve suffered due to their gender and trying to use what they’ve gone through to defend your fav is disgusting asf. The fact that if it was ANY other idol like twice or Mamamoo, Blinks would’ve been the first person to trend hate against them. But when it comes to their own favs, everyone is suddenly silent??? I’m annoyed so excuse this rant about toxic k-pop fandoms and apologies in advance for my rambling:

I’m so sick of solo stans and delusional fans. You ruin the fandom. (And I don’t mean people who support their bias)

Two recent examples completely prove my point about fans needed to grow the fuck up:

1. Bang Chan saying he can’t do Chan’s Room anymore. We don’t know if the company canceled it. Maybe they did and it would be fans fault. He made one passing comment about younger groups not doing proper greetings and fans started analyzing every interaction he’s had with other idols. Then you made up your own narratives and starting calling out other fandoms and groups. How do you think antis and other fandoms got involved? Because you started a fucking fire with no proof. I’d venture to say he needs protecting from fans delusional narratives more than he needs it from antis.

Or maybe when he said he can’t do it anymore it’s because he’s busy. Two comebacks in one year? With him at least touching every track? A tour? A rise in popularity that has lead to brand deals and interviews and festivals? He’s got to be physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted. Every week he’s in a different country. Give the man a fucking break to breathe. I understand you love Chan’s Room, I did too, but he’s human and as much as you love that connection, we don’t actually know him or what he’s going through.

2. The BTS header being changed from V’s album to JK’s single. This one blows my mind. Solo stans seem to think the company is out to get V? Like they have a personal vendetta against him. Stupid. You think they’re under the company’s thumb and have no control over their lives/music?

First of all, do you think the other boys would stand for that? You think that RM, who had the power to shut down the company’s idea to get involved in NFTs, would stand for that kind of treatment towards one of his members? And it is a business as much as you hate it. Those boys have to be major shareholders/stockholders in that company. They aren’t going to fucking leave. BTS brings in money, so the company makes money, so BTS makes MORE money off of stocks/shares. The company isn’t going to alienate their star money makers.

Second, they’re on the fucking clock. Time is ticking until all these boys have to enlist so they don’t necessarily have the luxury to spread the releases out. They’re jamming in as much as they can, while they can. It would be nice if V got more time before the next member releases something sure, but V even admitted to scrapping the whole album and starting over. It’s not like it’s been sitting around ready waiting for release and the company said “fuck you we’re going to hold off and only release it during the end of the year rush.”

These idols show an insane amount of their lives to us but you seem to forget that you don’t actually fucking know them. Of course they adore their fans, but your insane need to over involve yourself like you know what they’re thinking just creates a toxic environment for other fans and for the idols themselves.

Get over yourselves.

to the anon who sent me a link about jimin arriving in paris, sorry but I don't post those videos. The videos at the airport in Korea are different because usually the press is warned but elsewhere a bit of respect for the artist is expected. I watched a short clip of him arriving in Paris and got annoyed. He looked tired and honestly fed up with it all. A lot of "fans" need to learn to respect the artist they claim to love.

i don’t know if other people will agree with me on this but for those on twitter who talk shit about armys on other social media, like tumblr, it really is ironic. i know twt armys are so stronGGG on the promoting/streaming side of bts/solo music which is phenomenal to see. But, it’s a little disheartening to see them talk crap about other armys on other platforms who , in fact, simply just mind. their. own. business.

no army is superior than the other. we all have different wavelengths, different ways of supporting the boys and their music which is GREAT. some ppl support from the sidelines and log off, some support through making bts art and log off. and there are those who make it their DUTY to involve themselves in every little discourse about the most irrelevant things, shitting on other armys, refusing to listen to other armys, and making their OPINION the STANDARD opinion among ALL armys for future discourses that might arise again and you have… oh… the rest of them following each other like SHEEP.

anyway, this was on my mind for some time but todays discourse about jk’s schedule release just triggered this response in me. being excited for his release is one thing, but overanalysing the potential mv plot, his outfits, her appearance in it is just too much and IRRELEVANT. you’re doing all that overthinking for no reason. and what’s ironic is that twt armys who shoot down other armys for overanalysing stuff are the same ppl who just CANNOT wait to sink their teeth into tweets that overanalyse and overcompensate. they’re always waiting to put some SENSE into armys, and sometimes that’s crucial before things get crazy delu, but other times more and more armys see it and offer their 2 cents to the conversation and may even be nastier than the original army shooter.

overall, it’s just become a toxic place. i find myself drifting from it as time passes.

and don’t get me wrong i like seeing twt armys put others who act delusional and invasive of the boys privacy in place. those who wholeheartedly just want to protect the boys and actually mean it are the best. but those who just can’t wait to start a little discourse over an accidental/misinterpreted tweet by an army and open the floor for other armys to be agreeing and act completely nasty towards them is what i can’t stand.

Reason no. 1 : Music

Back when they used to make different types of music which were sooo fun to listen but now like every recent song sounds the same there's nothing new.

Reason no. 2 : Armies

In my opinion Armies are the 2nd most toxic fanbase after Selena's fan base. They are sooo weird like they literally hate on other people for no reason like it's stupid. It's like if you tell an army that you think Chris Evans is the most handsome man in the world they will literally fight with you just because you find Chris Evans more handsome than V or Jin. There is generations of musical artists who have been worshipped by teens as its normal for teens to have their idols and crushes. But the armies are toxic af they only spread hate.......

Reason no. 3 : The industry

This is something I have been thinking since victoria's secret fashion show got cancelled in 2019 is how is everyone ignoring the toxic beauty standards of the K-pop industry?? And the abuse the Idols go through. K-pop is really messed up underneath the surface.....

Reason no. 4 : (Personal) V's response to an american army and their overall personality

So I don't remember when but, one day V was streaming and people were asking stuff to him and an American army asked him smth. V scolded them just because they referred to him by his name and didn't and hyung or oppa. Even though everyone knows that in America people usually refers to people by their first name but still pointing out a silly thing like it was really unnecessary.....

Namjoon being tired asf with the fandom

Recently, Namjoon of BTS has been absolutely bashed for the dumbest reasons ever, like- this man will just breathe and these toxic ARMYs will have a problem with it. He's being more direct and straightforward with the fandom these days (which is good). He's also been replying to the weird ass baby ARMYs calling him their hubby, soulmate, boyfriend, their man etc. Lately, he's been getting bashed (again) for posting a picture of him smoking with some of his friends on his Instagram story. When he came on Weverse live, a lot of people were commenting about it, he simply told them that it's his life and he can do what he wants to do with it (my bias doing a good job here). And when he came on live after the "Bad Religion - by Frank Ocean" incident, he just told the people who were sending hate comments that he's not going to be apologizing for something he didn't do and they can go cry about it if they're taking it in a bad way. Truly, this man is doing some fandom filtering and I'm all for it. A few days ago, the military enlistment notice of Namjoon, Jimin, Jungkook and Taehyung came in. These four boys came on live just to talk with ARMY and say a goodbye before they set of for their enlistment, the whole comment section was filled with ARMYs asking about the enlistment (which is kind of valid ngl) and Namjoon told us not to come to the military camp for the security of the other soldiers (istg- this man is just so sick of the saesangs). This proves how he just knows that his fandom is going to do this, this is honestly really sad... HE IS JUST SO TIRED OF US! I'm sad because istg- because of such idiots on twitter- if he stops sharing music recs, random photo dumps, videos of nature, pictures of art museums, etc... I WILL GO VIOLENT! Seriously, he doesn't trust ARMY anymore because of K-ARMYs.

Why is the BTS fandom so cluttered with fans who have such an inability to self reflect? I see people all over all forms of social media who will fully admit to being a jerk but continue to be that way even though they know it’s a problem.

It's not as difficult as you might think. In fact it's very easy given the primary way I spend my time in fandom is checking out music and learning about the groups I like, not engaging in tedious, never-ending discourse.

It's actually quite fun. In the case of Enhypen, I've loved them since Pass the Mic and like I said, I'd be a multi-stan by now (ARMY-Engene) if not for a couple reasons. Almost everything about them I unequivocally adore.
