Have a couple of Pietro headcanons before I go to sleep ^¬^
- He never knows what day it is. Since his perception of time is warped, Pietro loses track of the day and date very frequently. If you need reminding if it's Monday or Tuesday, do not ask him. He'll probably think it's Thursday anyway.
- Pietro's got a bit of a thing for older men. I do not know why, I don't think he knows why, but it's there.
- He eats a lot, and he naps a lot. Part of being so speedy is burning through a lot of calories and energy. Add that together with his too-frequently experiencing two day's time when only one day has passed, you get him doubling up on meals when he can, and winding up in bed in the middle of the day.
- Follow on headcanon: Pietro cannot control his speed when he's asleep, so he can get a full 8 hours in 4 (or less), and if you share his bed he'll seem to be moving a lot more than most people. He isn't moving way more than anyone else, it's just all happening in less time.

Her idiot
Pairing: Natasha Romanoff x f!reader
Warnings: none
Summary: your night out with Thor and Valkyrie leaves Natasha worried unimpressed.
Masterlist
Tumblr media
“Nat-”
“No.”
“But-”
“But no.”
“Just let me-”
“Shut up.”
Your mouth promptly snaps shut, the sound of teeth clattering echoing through the empty Compound.
You're being dragged to Natasha’s room, or you hope you are - you wouldn't put it past Natasha to lock you in one of the holding cells in the basement. You kinda deserve it. You can admit that even in your current inebriated state.
She drags you upstairs once you reach the end of the hallway, your shoes squeaking on the concrete, making you grimace with each step you make.
You're also starting to get cold.
You're not stupid enough to tell her that.
Wanda's head pokes out of her room, her eyes bleary with sleep and her expression pure confusion. Her eyes grow twice their size once she sees the state you're in. And then she laughs, shaking her head.
“You're so dead,” she whispers when you pass by and ducks back into her room lest Natasha unleashes her wrath on her.
You gulp.
Yeah.
You probably are.
Natasha halts her stride, opens the door to her room, and pushes you inside.
“You better not get any of that on my carpet,” she growls, tugging off your drenched shirt.
You're thankful you've had enough of a mind to leave your heavy winter coat by the lake before you decide to-
“Off.” Natasha gestures at your feet, putting a stop to your musings. You shrug off your dirty boots, carefully leaving them by the door. As carefully as you can, that is. The room is spinning a bit, and Natasha's face is a little blurry around the edges.
Then, she tugs down your jeans, making you wince as the harsh wet fabric slides down your legs. She looks at you, unimpressed.
“Sorry,” you whisper, hugging yourself.
You're starting to shake, a little bit. And your teeth won't stay put. Or is it your jaw?
Natasha sighs and leads you to the bathroom. It's already full of steam and the bath is full of bubbles, and you sag in relief, almost tearing off your underwear in haste to jump in.
You moan the second you sink into the warmth.
“You do know how stupid that was, right?”
You nod, wishing you could hide from her gaze.
“Then why?”
Your cheeks redden, not from the warmth, but from the sheer embarrassment. Now that you've sobered a little, none of the fun and entertaining ideas Thor and Valkyrie proposed sound fun and entertaining.
She sighs again, and starts gently threading her fingers through your hair, untangling the knots she finds there.
“You're not drinking with them ever again.”
“Okay.”
“And you're not going anywhere near that damned lake anytime soon.”
You wince at the memory of falling through the thin layer of ice after successfully making it halfway across the lake - just like Thor dared you to - and then swimming under said thin layer of ice the remaining half of the way and emerging on the other side, right in front or very angry and very concerned Natasha.
You're probably gonna-
“And you're sleeping on the couch.”
-sleep on the couch. Yep.
“Yes, ma'am.”
“You're an idiot.”
“I am.”
She snorts. “It's very hard to stay mad when you're being so pliant.”
You bite on your lower lip, keeping a bashful grin from emerging. You decide to test your luck when the fond glint in your girlfriend's eyes intensifies.
“So no couch for me, then?”
Her eyes narrow, lips pursing. “You can sleep on the floor if you'd like.”
No luck. Ugh.
“Okay. Couch it is.”
She hums, leaving your side to retrieve a warm fluffy tower. You get up, almost falling into Natasha's arms when you slip. She wraps the towel around your shoulders, holding you against her chest.
“I love you,” you mumble into the crook of her neck, your body buzzing with love, warmth and remnants of alcohol. “So much.”
“And I love you. Even when you're being an idiot, which is-”
“Always?” You interrupt with a grin, pulling away just a tad to see the expression on her face.
Her eyes sparkle in the low light, the lines of her face all soft. “Yes. Always.”

Keep them away (Max Verstappen)
Even though it was part of his job, Max's rules were clear: no one could get close to you or the children
Note: english is not my first language. A couple of blurbs originated this one! I'm not sure how I feel about it, if I like it or not tbh...
Thank you so much to everyone who likes and reblogs, your feedback is appreciated 🤍 and I'm taking requests so if you have any ideas or concepts you want to share, feel free to do so as I'll try to get to them the best I can!

"I want to talk to you about something, liefje", Max said as you walked around the bedroom, laying out your clothes for the next day and taking off the jewellery you didn't like to sleep with.
"Is everything alright?", you asked pulling the covers and joining him in bed, holding his hand in yours and interlocking your fingers.
"It didn't occur to me until last week that now Finn can walk into the paddock without being on your arms or mine, and the stroller can only hide so much, and there will come a time when it will be the same for Julia, and I don't want the kids' faces on media in such a free and uncontrolled way", he admitted.
The last Grand Prix you attended made it real tp you. It seemed such a big step and something you thought people would respect intuitively, but the moment the photographers swarmed you and you had difficulty walking along the paddock to get to RedBull, you had enough.
"Me neither, but I get what you mean. Last week, I had to keep telling Finn to come close to me so I could sort of cover his face", you offered, "is there something we can make for that, though?", you wondered.
"Yes, I spoke to the team and they know about these forms where you can grant photographic allowances to certain photographers if they want to record or take pictures if we go down that route - it states who is allowed and what terms and conditions they can do it in inside the paddock. And there's also one for outside the paddock, if we sign it, it will mean no one can take pictures of you or the kids outside of the paddock and we'll be supported legally in case someone breaches it", Max assured.
"I like the sound of that, it does soothe my heart", you tapped your chest with your palm.
"I'll have them draw up the forms and then we can go over them together and sign then", he smiled, pulling you to his chest.
"I'm not saying we are keeping them away from the world - even though that would hardly be an issue - but having a restricted set of people in who we trust is doable", you mused, resting your head on his chest completely and kissing his skin, "I don't want them to do whatever they please with my little ones", you grumbled.
"Mama bear is out, hm?", Max chuckled, "but I agree, love, I wouldn't want it either".
.
"I can get the stroller, Sophie", you called for your mother in-law, letting her take Finn's hand instead as you walked out of the hotel, Max by your side as you strolled around the ses front, making some time before your lunch reservation.
Max wasn't racing until the next weekend, so you were making the most out of family time you could. To make things easier for you on the flight home, Sophie offered to come with you so you wouldn't have to fly back on your own with two kids since Max was flying straight to the city where the Grand Prix was being held.
"Is she going to fall asleep on the way there?", you peeped at the little girl, eyes droopy even though she tried her best to look at you and Max, "she didn't sleep all that well, so probably", your husband shrugged his shoulders, wrapping his arm around your shoulders as you walked behind Sophie and Finn.
At first, Max thought it was his mind making things up and that people were taking pictures of the beach and the architecture details, so he set his guard down. When you sat down for lunch, though, it was obvious.
"They're taking pictures of us, aren't they?", Max asked as he pointed with his eyes to the group of three people holding cameras, suddenly pulling them from eyesight the moment they saw you both stare at them as one of the waiters came to the table.
"Mr. Verstappen, I'm sorry to bother you, but that group is asking if they can come closer for some pictures and it didn't seem like it was our place to decide that", he explained as Max sighed, "thank you for that - I'll go talk to them just now. We didn't want any of this to happen or for you, your colleagues or your clients to be bothered by this, it wasn't our intention", Max assured as the waiter nodded before excusing himself.
"I'm going to talk to them, I'll be right back", he told you, kissing the top of your head and stepping closer to them.
"Hello, it has come to my understanding - correct me if I'm wrong even though I'm probably right - that you're taking pictures of me and my family, and I won't allow it", he stated firmly but politely, not wanting to cause a scene despite his blood boiling.
"It was just of you, we'll edit everything else out, if we could jus-", one of them tried and Max drew the line there.
"We have made it clear! When my family is in the paddock, Finn, Julia and Y/N can be photographed by a closed group of photographers - and I know who they are because we allowed them and none of you are them! We are outside of the paddock so no one is allowed to take pictures of them to begin with, and then you're disrespecting the other people who work and who are eating here. We have given strict guidelines that are clear as we won't accept this!", Max spoke sternly.
Back at the table, Sophie took the pencil case out of the backpack so Finn could draw while you waited for the food,
"Why is papa talking to those people? Do we know them?", Finn asked, "they're taking pictures of us and papa and mama don't want that, so papa is telling them that", you explained, knowing your clever boy would catch up with it sooner than later and knowing honesty would be the way to go.
"You'd think they would get the boundaries you've set", Sophie told you, "especially with the kids around, it's a no brainer".
"They're always looking for anything to make a big great story of - if those pictures ever see daylight, they'll probably start calling me names and making assumptions they have no business or information to make", you groaned.
Max came back, sitting on the chair you saved for him, "they really didn't want to budge and they kept asking if they could "just take a few more" like I hadn't just told them that what they were doing was breaching agreements", he groaned lightly to make sure Finn didn't hear too much, looking at the stroller to see Julia was still taking a nap.
"Did you see the e-mail I sent you, liefje?", Max asked over FaceTime now that he had wished goodnight to both kids, meaning he had your attention all to himself now.
"I saw it was a statement, I didn't get to read anything else", you added, getting your iPad to read it properly.
"The team helped me make a statement about your privacy and the kids', so nothing else happens again", he stated.
Earlier this week, the social media department at RedBull noticed a photo of you circulating the press platforms, and judging by the location, you were indeed back home and not somewhere in the paddock to surprise Max, making the photo a breach of contract.
"Hopefully they take the hint", Max sighed, keeping his calm and collected attitude he wanted you to have too. For anyone else, Max always seemed rash to the point some considered rude. But when it involved his family, he knew how to go about it, wanting his children to learn and know he was protecting you and how he would never allow anyone to disrespect you like that.
"We'll be fine, and I genuinely hope that, from the way we mentioned legal consequences, people actually take it seriously", you shrugged your shoulders. It wasn't that you didn't care about it, but rather you realized there was only so much you could control, and you wouldn't let that control your life, "we'll see how it goes, okay?", you checked over, "anyway, how does the car look for qualifying?", you changed the subject as the cats sat on your lap.
.
"Mama, I'm scared", Finn muttered, clinging closer to you and hiding his face on your neck. That was all it took for you to let your mama bear instincts out, holding your son as you walked past them, looking for a security member that could escort you to the RedBull hospitality as it was harder to push the stroller when you had to carry Finn as well.
"Excuse me, Excuse me!", you yelled, "I'm sure you know you're not allowed to take pictures, so I would appreciate it if you didn't do it, much less when my children are here!", you spoked, catching a few photographers off guard and the attention of one of the security staff by the entrance.
"I'll help you with her if that's okay", he quesioned as his hand went straight to the stroller, "yes, please", you breathed out, holding Finn close to you and whispering soothing words on his ear, "it's okay, my love, we're okay".
Stepping inside the hospitality, you set your things down and sat Finn down on the sofa so you could get Julia in your arms, soothing her cries.
"Thank you so much, it was getting crazy out there", you said, holding your daughter's head to your chest and bouncing her.
"No problem, glad I could help", the security guard excused himself to go back to his spot as you looked at Finn.
"Are you okay, love?", you wondered as Julia's cries quieted down.
"I didn't like how they were yelling and running", he told you, "I thought papa said they only did it when we were there", he pointed to the people walking outside, "That's true, they shouldn't do it outside", you explained, "I'm sorry they scared you, but you're safe with me and with papa, okay?", you added, kissing his once again on his forehead as Max appeared.
"Hey", he kissed the top of your head, Julia's and then Finn's, "I heard what happened. Are you two okay?", he asked, looking at Finn who pulled him into a hug, "Finn was a bit shaken up by it, but we've taken some deep breaths and we are going to stay inside for today, isn't that right, love?", you saw him nod.
Finn fell asleep on top of him soon after, "I have spoken to the lawyers, they will be taking the legal actions necessary for this situation. Are you sure you're okay?", Max questioned again.
"We are, Max. It shook him up a little bit because they were so close to us - and the stroller could only keep them so far -, and I told them a few times that we were outside of the paddock, but they just wouldn't listen", you frowned, "it's not great, but if this means you guys are safe, I don't care about anything else. I want you safe, all of you", he smiled, kissing your cheek and pulling you so your side rested against his torso.
"I hate having to yell at people, poor Julia just looked at me like I was mad and Finn was a little shaken up", you mumbled, "but they wouldn't move away, no matter how many times I told them to, only when the security guard was near us was I able to free up space from them".
"Don't worry about that, they're the ones in the wrong, not us", Max comforted.

ONE SHOT: THE CASTING COUCH
PART ONE OF THE DARK & SEXY SERIES
NOTE: This is a series of one shots and mini series for Cillian Murphy & Tommy Shelby in which he acts totally off-canon. Most of these shots are very dark in nature and you should read their individual warnings. All of these shots are requests from readers. Co-written with @darkshelbyfiction
PAIRING: CILLIAN MURPHY X VIRGIN READER
WARNING: DUB-CON, BLACKMAIL, LOSS OF VIRGINITY
Tumblr media
"Thank you for coming over Cillian, and for helping me out with my rehearsals," you said after opening the door for him. You hesitated, your eyes glancing at the untidy mess strewn around, hoping he wouldn't notice how disorganized you were. You were still young and inexperienced when it came to acting and life in general and had recently finished filming your first movie under Cillian's guidance.
"No problem, Y/N," Cillian replied smoothly, stepping inside your apartment with a confident swagger. "I was looking forward to it," he told you and you nodded silently, forcing out a smile.
"Great! Well, let me just clear up a bit of space here," you murmured, quickly moving clutter off your couch and onto the floor.
You noticed that Cillian took note of this odd behavior, raising an eyebrow curiously. His gaze lingered on your body, taking in every curve and line.
"You know you've got a lot of competition to get this role," he stated matter-of-factly. It sounded like advice rather than a threat, but there was something strange about his tone.
"I know," you mumbled back, shifting uncomfortably on your feet. "I'm willing to do whatever it takes, Cillian," you told him and he smiled, the corners of his lips quirking upwards slightly.
"Whatever it takes, huh?" Cillian mused thoughtfully, reaching out to brush a stray lock of hair from your face. His touch was gentle, almost tender, and you could feel your skin tingle beneath his fingers.
"Yeah, I really want this part," you admitted quietly, meeting his gaze directly with your big eyes. There was something magnetic and yet uneasy about his presence, drawing you in despite your better judgment.
"Well, I can help you with that," Cillian offered with a knowing grin. "But I need something in return," he added, his voice dropping low to a husky whisper.
You swallowed hard, feeling a wave of trepidation wash over you. "What do you mean by that?" you asked innocently, squirming under his steady gaze.
"Come on Y/N, you are a smart girl, aren't you?" Cillian asked with a playful smirk. "I am sure you know what I want," he continued, running his fingers through your soft hair.
Your heart raced in your chest as you struggled to find the right words. "Look, Cillian, I appreciate you giving me this opportunity, but I don't think I can go there," you finally managed to say.
His eyes narrowed slightly, assessing your resolve. "You know that roles like these don't come along often, especially when you're starting out in this business," he explained coolly. "It's all about connections. And trust me," Cillian said, his voice dropping even lower—a soft purr against your ear, "I have plenty of those."
"I will touch you, down there, if you like, but I won't sleep with you. I never had sex before, so..." You hesitated, unsure how to express yourself. Your voice trembled as you tried to maintain composure. "I mean, I am not ready and..." you suggested cautiously.
Cillian's gaze intensified, locking onto yours as he interrupted you mid-sentence.
"Y/N, I want to fuck you properly," Cillian explained calmly, watching your reaction carefully. "You either take it or leave it," he whispered softly, leaning closer. "But if you want to have this role, then you'll have to make some sacrifices."
The air between you felt thick and heavy, charged with an electric tension neither of you dared to confront. Cillian was older, far more experienced in both acting and life, but there was something that made you feel uneasy about his request, despite your attraction towards him.
"But I have never done anything like this before," you insisted feebly, your voice barely above a whisper. "I'm not ready," you pleaded, clinging onto hope that he would relent.
"I didn't ask if you were ready," Cillian retorted sharply, his eyes flashing dangerously. "I asked if you wanted the role," he reminded you coldly, crossing his arms defensively.
"Yes, I do," you agreed hurriedly, eager to appease him.
"Good, then we understand each other," Cillian said confidently, stepping closer. "Now I will try to make this as comfortable for you as I possible can," he promised, his voice low and soothing. "Take off your clothes," he then commanded abruptly, staring intently at you.
You hesitated, biting your lip nervously. The silence hung heavily between you two, making your palms sweat. But the prospect of achieving your dream outweighed any doubts or fears you may have had. So without further hesitation, you began undressing, shedding layer after layer until only your panties remained.
Cillian watched your transformation with rapt attention, his gaze lingering on your exposed flesh. His eyes gleamed with lustful desire, sending shivers down your spine.
You stood naked before him, completely vulnerable, as he appraised your curves and lines.
"Such a beautiful young woman," he muttered, admiring your form. "You're perfect for this role and many others, if you play your cards right."
He stepped closer, reaching out to trace a finger along your collarbone. You flinched slightly, bracing yourself for what was to come.
"Relax, darling," he cooed, his voice deepening. "I will be gentle with you."
He placed a strong hand on your shoulder, guiding you gently backwards until you reached the edge of your study desk, the wood now pressing into your lower back.
You felt nervous, his proximity threatening to overwhelm you.
"Just relax, Y/N," he reassured you, his voice a soothing balm to your anxious nerves. "We're going to take things slow, okay?" He reached down and scooped you up in his arms, placing you delicately upon the desk. Your knees wobbled with uncertainty, but you forced yourself to stay upright.
Cillian stepped away, leaving you in nothing but your panties. His eyes trailed over your entire body, scrutinizing your vulnerability.
"Sit up straight," he instructed firmly, reaching out to adjust your posture. You complied obediently, clutching the tabletop tightly.
"Don't worry," he consoled you, his voice calm and collected. "This will hurt a little, but everything will be fine." You looked doubtful, swallowing a lump in your throat. But you knew you couldn't turn back now.
As he moved closer, you saw his eyes sparkle mischievously. "Lets take a look at this little virgin hole of yours, shall we?" Cillian murmured, trailing a finger along your inner thigh. You instinctively jerked away, causing him to chuckle.
"No need to be shy, love," he teased, reaching out again to stroke your knee. You didn't respond, instead opting to close your eyes, focusing on breathing deeply.
"Alright, alright," Cillian sighed, removing his hand. "Why don't you lay back for me, baby?" Cillian says, his voice thick with seduction.
You gulp, your palms sweating profusely now. The anticipation builds within you, and fear mixed with excitement dances across your veins. Despite the situation, you can't deny the urge to surrender to Cillian's will. To submit completely to his desires. After all, you remind yourself, this is your ticket to stardom.
"Are you sure about this?" Cillian asks, concern etching his features. "You know I would never force you, Y/N."
"I know," you reply weakly, mustering a thin smile. "It's just that I-- I've never, uh, I am nervous," you murmured.
"I know," Cillian murmurs, reaching out to cup your cheek before running his fingers over your stomach, stopping again at the hem of your cotton panties.
Hooking his fingers into the hem, Cillian pulled them downwards, exposing your most intimate area to his hungry gaze.
A groan escaped him as he stared hungrily at your swollen pussy, nestled between smooth thighs. "So fucking gorgeous," he breathed reverently, reaching out to trace your slit delicately.
"And so small," he chuckled, his fingertip circling your entrance. "But don't worry, I will manage to work my cock into you, baby," he assured you, his tone laced with confidence. Your breath hitched, the anticipation mounting within you. "You see, I've been waiting for this moment ever since I laid eyes on you," he confessed, stroking your cheek lovingly. Your heart pounded in your chest, the thrill of being desired by such an experienced man overwhelming you. "In fact, I've fantasized about you countless times," he whispered, leaning in closer.
"My cock is already throbbing with anticipation, imagining your tight pussy wrapped around it." He ran a finger down your belly, tracing the path it would soon follow.
Cillian then reached for the pocket of his jeans to retrieve a condom, which he placed onto the desk beside you before unbuckling his belt.
He then slid his pants down, revealing an impressive erection, rock-hard and ready for action.
Leaking pre-cum, it stood tall and proud, a testament to his arousal. You couldn't help but stare at it, mesmerized and concerned all at the same time.
"I don't know..." you started to stammer, but Cillian put a finger against your lips.
"Shh," he hushed. "It will only hurt for a moment. I promise," he told you as he picked up the condom and opened the wrapper.
As he rolled it onto his throbbing member, you couldn't help but glance at that massive erection standing erect, a symbol of raw masculinity. It seemed almost intimidating and you closed your eyes, overwhelmed by the intensity of this situation. You knew what was expected of you, but somehow the reality of submitting to Cillian scared you.
"Open your legs for me, sweetheart," Cillian said softly, interrupting your thoughts. He reached out to pull you open, spreading your bare thighs apart to reveal your moistened folds. You whimpered, arching your back involuntarily as he touched you.
"You've got a tight little hole, haven't you?" he commented casually, brushing aside your tears with callous indifference. "It's good though—it means you're going to feel every inch of me," he added.
"Just relax, Y/N," he urged you once more, positioning himself between your legs. You shut your eyes some more, concentrating on slowing your racing heartbeat when you felt the head of his cock press against your wetness.
"I'm going to enter you now, baby," he murmured before slowly pushing the tip of his cock inside you. You gasped loudly, squeezing your eyes shut as the burning sensation spread throughout your body.
"Ssh, it's alright. Just let me in," Cillian murmured. You let out a yelp as he pushed harder, your eyes widening in shock as he stretched you.
"You're doing great," Cillian encouraged you, easing the head of his cock deeper into you while looking down in between your bodies, enjoying the sight of his cock slowly opening you up.
"The head is in," he whispered triumphantly, watching the initial resistance crumble before the persistent pressure of his manhood. "Now, I'm about to stretch you out some more," he warned, the anticipation building with every word.
You writhed helplessly on the desk, your eyes squeezed shut, your grip tightening on the wooden surface beneath you.
"Just breathe," Cillian comforted you, his fingers caressing your cheek. "It's going to burn for a second, but it'll pass," he promised, his tone soothing.
You took a deep breath, feeling the warmth of his shaft sliding inside you as he inched forward. Each thrust drove deeper, stretching you wider. The pain was intense, but you bit your lip to hold back your groans.
"That's it, baby," he praised. "You're doing great. Just a few more inches and I'll be fully inside you," he told you, his eyes locked on yours. "Can you feel it? My cock stretching you wider with each push," he whispered, his voice sending chills down your spine. "That's right, baby," he encouraged you, watching as the muscles of your vagina contracted around his shaft. "Just a little more," he growled, his movements becoming more forceful.
His cock felt huge inside you, filling you up entirely as he took your innocence, the head of his cock hitting your cervix with each thrust.
"You feel so good," he moaned, his cock twitching in response to your tightness. "I could cum right now," he groaned, grinding his hips against yours before pulling out abruptly. "But I want to enjoy this for a little longer. Turn around," Cillian demanded, reaching out to spin you around on the desk.
"I want to fuck you from behind," he said before thrusting his length back into you. "Spread your legs wider," he ordered, and you did as he asked, your cheeks reddening from embarrassment as he increased his pace.
Cillian's cock throbbed inside you, filling you up completely. He withdrew a little, teasing you with shallow thrusts. "Mmm," he moaned approvingly, running his hands up and down your body. "You're so hot like this," he whispered, pulling on your nipples roughly while watching his cock plunge in and out of your swollen pussy. "I can tell you're getting used to me," he observed, grabbing your ass and pulling you closer, impaling you on his erection. "Getting tighter, too," he noted, grinning wickedly. "It's like you're trying to squeeze me," he joked, bucking his hips wildly until he was balls-deep inside you.
"Fuck!" he shouted, his cock throbbing painfully. "I might cum too quick," he muttered, grabbing your waist tightly.
"I've been thinking about this for so long," he confessed, his breath hot and heavy in your ear.
"Such a good girl," he rasped, thrusting deeper into you. "Tighter than I imagined," he groaned, digging his fingers into your hips. "I bet you're going to be a real star one day," he praised, slamming into you harder. "This isn't going to be easy, Y/N," he warned, his voice strained. "But I've got faith in you," he said, punctuating each word with a brutal thrust before pulling out abruptly and ordering you onto your knees.
"You are going to swallow my load now, baby," he barked, your ears ringing with the harsh command. "If you want to become a star, that is," he added ominously, pulling off the condom and then holding his cock firmly in his fist while he guided it toward your mouth.
"Oh no, please," you begged, shaking your head in protest.
"Open up," Cillian ordered sternly, guiding your jaw wide while aiming his cock at your mouth. He then shoved his cock into your mouth, gagging you instantly.
"Good girl," he said gruffly, his fingers gripping your chin tightly. You whimpered, unable to speak as he fucked your mouth mercilessly.
"I am going to pour my seed right down your throat now," he ordered, his voice muffled by your gag reflex as he started to groan loudly. "Here it comes," he announced, his cock swelling and pulsing with pleasure as he released his load directly into your mouth.
You gagged inadvertently, your eyes watering from the sudden influx of semen as you swallowed his essence and, going by the sounds he made, he was clearly pleased by your efforts.
"That's good. Drink my seed," he grunted, withdrawing his cock from your mouth. "Swallow it all down," he ordered, watching you struggle to catch your breath.
"Fucking fantastic," he then complimented, patting your head affectionately. "There's a good girl," he cooed, handing you a wad of tissues to clean off before pulling up his pants.
"Now, we start shooting next week," he informed you, checking his watch. "You did well, but I really got to run," he grinned, kissing your forehead lightly. "I'll text you our schedule tomorrow," he confirmed before saying his farewell.

"You know we're supposed to be going out, right? Not back to bed,"
A smile wormed its way onto (Y/n)'s lips when she heard Evan's teasing voice and felt his hand move to grip her thigh. He gave her a squeeze and a little pinch just to watch her leg jerk before he went back to holding the steering wheel.
"Wake me up when we get there," She mused, sinking further down in her seat with her head lolled on the seatbelt.
"Oh no, baby, you're not getting a power nap right now." Evan reached over to turn up the radio, grinning when his wife mumbled something incoherent as she moved to grab his hand. He knew if she went to sleep, he would have a hard time waking her up when they arrived to meet Maddie at the restaurant for dinner. She had to stay awake or he would end up leaving her to sleep in the car and then she really wouldn't thank him.
He lifted her hand to his lips, kissing the back of her hand as she twisted in her seat. (Y/n) didn't open her eyes, but they both knew the radio was going to keep her awake, she couldn't sleep with any loud noise in the background. The most she was going to get was resting her eyes before they arrived and she would have to wake up for dinner.
"I'm tired,"
"Yeah, I think having a bath at five in the morning might have something to do with that."
"Your child only sleeps when I take a bath."
(Y/n) brushed her thumb over Evan's lips that parted to let out a laugh at her response. When she couldn't sleep this morning, taking a bath had been the only thing (Y/n) could think of doing to relieve her discomfort and try to settle down both her and the baby. The baby seemed to calm down when she laid in the bath. The water soothed her aching back and made the baby within her calm down and stop kicking and fidgeting.
"Oh, so when they play up they're my child, right?"
"Yes, Buckley, this kid has your hyperactiveness. I wanted to sleep, your child didn't."
That made Evan smile. Their baby wasn't even born yet and they were automatically his child when they did something wrong. He could understand though, he had seen the discomfort written across (Y/n)'s face these last two months. And he had momentairily panicked this morning when he woke up alone until he wandered to the bathroom and found his wife laid out in the bath, finally settled and feeling at peace as the baby had gone back to sleep.
"You can sleep as much as you want next month, I promise." He kissed her palm before she coiled her arms around her bump and shimmied around again.
They only had one more month to wait, and then Evan would be on annual leave and their baby would be born. Evan would take all the late nights he could get so (Y/n) could catch up on the sleep she had lost in these last few months.
She had the baby to herself right now and Evan was desperate for them to be born so he could snatch them away and finally see his baby. He wanted them in his arms and wriggling on his chest, he wanted to physically see and hold them instead of sitting around waiting in agony for the time to pass by.
"Fuck!"
Evan slammed on the brakes but it didn't do any good. His fingers deadlocked around the steering wheel, his elbows locked and his arms straightened out like rulers to press himself back into the seat.
The tyre on the car in front of them had burst. Evan couldn't swerve into the other lane unless he wanted to crash into the cars beside him and he couldn't swerve to the right and risk hitting the middle barrier. All he could do was brake and pray the cars behind wouldn't crush them.
A burning scream ricketed against the back of (Y/n)'s throat and teeth. She could feel her body tensing and pulling inwards and she scraped her shoes down against the floor to try and steady herself and push back in the seat as if she was reaching for an imaginary brake. Her hand tightened around the door handle and her free hand reached out to hold the dashboard when she heard Evan make a noise between a growl and a scream.
Her head collided with the window and the shock caused static to pound through her ears. Nothing but white noise filtered through (Y/n)'s head and she couldn't concentrate or feel anything but the way the car was shaking and how every muscle tensed to the point they were going to snap.
"Baby? Baby, you okay? Shit, talk to me please… (Y/n) please-" Evan's ramblings came to a pause when he felt (Y/n)'s hand leave the dashboard and swat out at her side to try and reach for him. Her throat was burning, the only noise she knew she could make would be to scream and that wouldn't help Evan right now.
She curled her trembling fingers around his wrist and started to tug on his arm to try and let him know she could hear him and that she was still somewhat awake and alert.
Her fingers stayed curled around his wrist and she reached her other hand out for him when he unclipped his belt and leaned across the gear stick to inch closer to her. His hands cupped her face and tilted her head up so he could rest their foreheads together. The feeling of his thumbs tracing up and down her cheeks calmed (Y/n) enough for her to finally open her eyes.
The vision of her husband blurred in front of her, he looked as if he had a halo of light glowing around him. The concern was evident in his eyes that were blown wide and glossy like wet marbles and she could see his eyes raking her up and down, scouting for injuries.
"We gotta get out the car, baby. We're in the middle of the motorway,"
He wanted to find his phone but he couldn't find the will power to move just yet. His whole body was raked with tremors coursing through him making him jerk back and forth in his seat and his phone was no longer clipped on the dashboard. It had fallen during the crash, it would probably be in the footwell somewhere or even behind the gas pedals.
They weren't the only people on the motorway or the only ones caught up in this crash. 911 would be hyjacked by hundreds of people ringing in to let them know there had been a crash so Evan didn't have to call and block up their lines any further.
They couldn't stay in the car.
They had crashed and they were still right in the centre of the dilemma. Evan knew the safest thing to do if they could both walk and get out would be to go on the side of the motorway and wait for the emergency services. Sitting in the car made them targets in case anyone else was speeding down and couldn't stop in time. People could easily crash into them, they needed to move.
"Baby are you okay?"
"Hm." She felt shaky, fueled with adrenaline and her neck was throbbing like it had been broken from whiplash, but she was okay.
"Let's get you out-"
(Y/n) screamed. She couldn't help it. A car pummelled into the back of their car, sending them violently twisting to the right and crashing forward into the two cars that had come to a halt in front of them.
Evan had taken his seatbelt off; he had the intention of getting out the car. With nothing to pin him to the seat, Evan's body slammed forward until his head smashed into the passenger window. His arms bent awkwardly around (Y/n) as his upper body fell onto her lap and his legs got caught between the door and the steering wheel like he was laying down to take a nap.
When the back of his head thrust back into the window, Evan suddenly stopped screaming and he slumped down, going motionless.

"Alright, you all know the drill. Major pile up in the middle of the freeway, if anyone can walk for help direct them to the paramedics. Shout out if you need to cut someone out the car, find anyone stuck and get them free. Chimney you're with me, Eddie go with Hen."
Bobby strapped on his helmet and nodded at his team but his eyes frowned when he looked over at Eddie.
They had parked up on the hard shoulder a few feet away from the crash since the ambulances needed to get round and them be closer to the scene so they could drive ahead and get out of the mess. At least ten cars had piled up right at the front of the chaos and other cars had swerved to awkward stops and parked up to try and help assist anyone they could. For the last seven miles, the truck had to drive on the hard shoulder because the motorway was jam packed with people unable to move anywhere.
"Eddie, what's up?"
"Cap, the blue ford…" Something stirred in Eddie's chest and his fingers curled tighter around his helmet when he scanned his eyes over the mess. Right at the front of the pile up near the middle barrier was a navy blue ford that looked beat up and bashed about. But Eddie knew (Y/n) had a car just like that and he knew Evan was off work today and tomorrow.
"What about it?"
"It's Buck!" Eddie dropped his helmet and set off into a sprint. He didn't need to see the number plate; his gut was telling him that either Evan, (Y/n) or both of them were in that car. He couldn't kick the dread that settled in the pit of his stomach or the adrenaline that fueled his system.
Eddie could hear Bobby shouting for back up and he knew his Captain wasn't far behind him, weaving through the mess to reach Evan's car. Eddie read the number plate when he was a few feet away and he found himself nodding; that was (Y/n)'s car. Was she in there? Was it just Evan? Were they both in this mess? A pregnant woman in a car crash was never a good thing.
"Buck! Buck, we're here- I need the wrench!" Eddie jammed his elbow into the window and tried in vain to wiggle the door handle but it was locked tight.
His hands stretched out and snatched the wrench that Bobby held out to him as he was followed by Hen with a medic bag on her shoulder. Chimney followed close behind with another medic from a different station, both of them carrying back boards upon Bobby's careful instruction.
The wrench jammed between the metal and Eddie used all his strength to prize the door open, stumbling back when the lock finally released and he could get inside.
Eddie went down on his knees, slumping beside the door as Hen curved around beside him to lean in.
They didn't like what they saw.
Once the door was open, it left (Y/n) to slump to the left towards the open space. She was being held up by her seatbelt that stopped her from flopping down onto Eddie's lap. Her hair fanned in fornt of her face like curtains shielding her from their perceptive eyes, but what scared them more was Evan.
He was laid out, his legs a tangled mess against the steering wheel and the driver's seat. His body was slumped onto (Y/n)'s thighs, his head resting motionless on (Y/n)'s chest with one arm hanging down by the seat and the other arm slumped on his waist. He was obscuring their view of (Y/n), they couldn't see if she had any injuries below the neck because Evan was completely covering her.
Even unconscious, it looked like he was trying to protect her.
From the off, Eddie could see a wound on the back of Evan's head that had already spilled blood through his curls and left a small slither down the back of his neck like a child had drawn a jagged line with a marker. Around the wound there was some swelling but they would need to send him for a scan to check if he had any cranial damage or brain swelling. The possibilities were creating a long, worrisome list of internal injuries Evan could have.
Pushing up on his toes, Eddie tried to control the trembling in his hands as he pressed them to either side of Evan's neck. He felt his pulse, checked for any swelling around his neck and looked at his chest to see his breathing.
"I've got a strong pulse, breathing is good but he could have nerve damage; look at his legs."
Evan's vitals were good, they were very good considering the predicament he was in but Eddie didn't like how he was laid. Evan could have done a lot of damage to his neck, he could have broken his spine or dislocated a column in his spine. And his legs were curled and skewed in the driver's seat which upon first glance, could be nothing scary. It could just be the way he had fallen during the accident, or it could indicate that Evan had nerve damage and he could have broken or damaged his legs.
"We need to move him. He's laid on (Y/n), he could be crushing the baby or hiding her injuries, either way he's adding extra pressure she doesn't need." Hen handed Eddie a neck brace for Evan while she slipped one around (Y/n)'s neck.
She could feel (Y/n)'s pulse and was trying to take her blood pressure, but Evan was obscuring their vision. They couldn't see (Y/n)'s stomach which Evan was clearly lying on and applying pressure to by accident. He could be crushing her lungs or cutting off the baby's blood supply with how he was laid and (Y/n) could have serious injuries that Evan was partially blocking. He had to be moved.
"Her BP's way too low and pulse is fluctuating but I can't check on the fetus yet. Bobby we need to get Buck out, now."
"Alright, I'll climb in the back and ease him over to you Eddie, Chim get ready to help get him out and on the back board."
The driver's side was completely blocked by another car and the middle barrier, they couldn't get Evan out that side which would have been easier than lifting him over (Y/n). But they had to work with what they had.
Bobby rammed the back door open and clambered inside, gripping the two front seats so he could cramp himself into the smallest shape possible and climb into the driver's seat. He did his best to avoid Evan's legs and slide himself down into the footwell near the gas pedals. Once he was turned around with his lower hips and bum pressed into the steering wheel, Bobby looked over Evan's legs.
How were they going to do this?
Usually they would get the back board in the car with them and clip Evan onto it, then lift him out. (Y/n) being here complicated things and made that impossible. They couldn't rest the board on or over her to get Evan on and they had to move him first.
He patted down Evan's legs and checked for any external injuries, any bleeding or broken bones and thankfully found none.
He gently twisted Evan's legs back round and stretched them out, laying him flat on his back as Eddie helped turn his upper chest on (Y/n)'s lap so he was fully straight.
"On three, lift him and start easing him out but go slow, I need to lean over (Y/n) without hurting either of them."
Bobby curled his hands beneath Evan's knees, pushed his shoulders up into the roof and lifted at the same time Eddie hooked his hands under Evan's arms and pulled him up. Eddie shuffled backwards and Chimney hurried forward to support Evan's lower back and he nodded at Bobby and took Evan's knees from him. It would be easier to keep Bobby there in the car to get (Y/n) out.
They eased Evan down onto the back board and pulled the straps over him to keep him in place.
"Get him in the ambulance but don't go until we've got (Y/n) out," Eddie wasn't sure where the authority in his voice came from but he didn't have time to care. He didn't want Evan leaving without (Y/n) in case someone messed up and took him to the wrong hospital or they couldn't find him once they got there. He needed to travel at the same time as (Y/n), preferably in the same ambulance so they could take them both together and the team could watch over them both.
Chimney and the other medic started to make their way towards the 118 ambulance, Evan still unconscious between them. They could give him fluids, get him on oxygen and check his vitals while they waited for (Y/n) and the rest of the team to join them.
"Eddie, we've got a problem," Hen looked back at him before she darted her eyes down to (Y/n). "Buck was hiding an injury from us."
Eddie knelt back down beside (Y/n) while Bobby sat down in the driver's seat and Hen leaned inside the car.
Blood was pooling between (Y/n)'s thighs and into the seat. She was haemorrhaging, possibly for a few seconds, possibly for a while and Evan had been laid on top of her, keeping it from them. But he also might have stemmed the bleeding with his weight and now he was gone, the bleeding could get worse.
Reaching into the medic bag, Eddie found a stethoscope and hurriedly pressed it to (Y/n)'s stomach. After a few seconds, he moved it over to her right side, then an inch lower before he leaned forward and sighed.
"There's a heartbeat, but it's low." His hands trailed along (Y/n)'s arms and down her legs, checking for any breaks which he didn't find. He then pressed his hands to (Y/n)'s upper chest, wincing when he felt her ribs. Two, possibly three, were damaged on her right side.
But when Eddie rolled up her shirt so he could check her stomach, he felt the way Hen tensed beside him and Bobby's eyes widened as he leaned forward.
"Skin is flushed and warm, she's bleeding internally, the baby might be too. Page the hospital, she has to go now."
(Y/n)'s abdomen was discoloured and dark, blood was pooling beneath the surface of her skin and her lower stomach was very warm and soft to the touch. She was bleeding both internally and externally, all around her abdomen which meant there was likely bleeding in the womb and around the baby. They needed to move her now before they lost the fetal heartbeat and someone would have to tell Evan he'd lost his child.
Hen placed the fluids bag on her shoulder and kept the IV line clear that she had taped into the back of (Y/n)'s hand to give her a wide stream. She held (Y/n) beneath her arms while Eddie held her legs and Bobby leaned over for added support, all nodding at each other to move.
A shudder ran down Eddie's spine once they laid (Y/n) down on the second backboard. The passenger seat was dark crimson instead of grey. She had been bleeding out for some time.
"This is Captain Nash to dispatch, alert the hospital that we are bringing in two casualties with severe concussions and need doctors on standby. One is a pregnant female, approximately thirty-five weeks, excessive blood loss and internal bleeding."
***
Terror ransacked through Evan's body when his brain seemed to switch on and his eyes opened. It took a few tries to get his vision to clear from a fuzzy wet painting into a proper, formed image.
Where was he? What happened? why was he laid down and aching all over like he had broken every bone in his body?
He didn't realise he was moving until he managed to swat a hand out and grab the oxygen mask strapped against his mouth and nose. The forceful flow of oxygen burned his lungs and made the back of his throat feel raw like sandpaper.
Evan's lips parted and his eyes widened in terror when he touched his nose and suddenly realised there was a tube taped inside his nose that went down his throat. Without a second thought, Evan tore the tape from beneath his nose, curled his fist around the cream tube and yanked. His tongue pressed out against his parted lips and he gagged, coughing violently onto his lap before he snorted when the long tube finally came out of his throat and nose.
He tossed it onto the floor and pushed himself up into a sitting position just as a pair of familiar hands found his shoulders and held onto him.
"Help!" Evan didn't know why that was the first word to leave his lips. He wasn't sure what sort of help he was asking for or why, but it was all he could think to say when Bobby perched down on the edge of the bed and appeared in front of him like a guardian angel.
"Buck, calm down. Hey, you're alright it's okay. You're in the hospital," Bobby's voice was soft, slow and soothing and he kept squeezing Evan's shoulders until the bout of panic started to subside.
His shoulders stopped quaking and his chest calmed down to a more normal breathing pattern instead of excessive, shallow breaths.
He darted his eyes around the room he was in. Bobby was sat on the bed but his rosary beads were on the chair beside the bed and his jacket was on the floor. Evan recognised a bag near the door, it was his duffle bag. Someone had brought him some things from home. How long had he been in here? How many hours had he been unconscious?
He had an IV drip taped into the back of his left hand and a heartbeat monitor clipped to his right finger which he threw on the floor as well. He was wearing an uncomfortable, itchy hospital gown.
The car.
He had been driving when a crash happened.
He was with (Y/n).
"(Y/n)! (Y/n), where is she? Bobby where is she?!" His hands reached out to clamp down on Bobby's forearms and he gave him a shove. Evan tried to swing his legs over the side of the bed but Bobby moved faster and pushed him back into the bed.
"Buck everything's okay-"
"Where's my wife?!"
"Sit down and I'll tell you." Bobby matched his tone of voice and raised his brows, digging his hands forcefully into Evan's shoulders until he finally relented and stopped fighting against him.
Evan couldn't go running round the hospital like a headless chicken in search of answers. Bobby had all the answers Evan was looking for and he would happily tell him if he would just calm down enough to listen. There was no need for him to panic, he wasn't sat here alone, he had Bobby here with him to talk him through everything.
"We arrived on scene and brought you both to the hospital, you had a concussion and swelling on the brain. The doctors put you in an induced coma to let your brain heal and for the swelling to go down. You've been out for three days, but you should be okay now. You've broken two ribs and dislocated your shoulder which they put back in place."
As soon as they arrived, Evan went up for an MRI and they found no bleeding in his brain but his brain had started to swell. They placed him in a coma to relieve the pressure and let him recover and it worked. His scan this morning showed his brain was a lot better and was functioning normally so they let him slowly come out of the coma this afternoon.
His shoulder had been put back in place and he had a bandage around his chest for the two ribs he had broken. Evan would be okay as long as he took things easy.
"Three days?" Fuck. "What about (Y/n) a-and the baby?"
"The placenta ruptured and caused a lot of blood loss, (Y/n) went straight for a C-section when you both arrived. They put her in a coma too after she flatlined during surgery. She hasn't woken up yet but she's stable and Eddie has been visiting her every day."
(Y/n) had immediate surgery to remove the baby and sort out the internal bleeding but she went into shock. Her heart stopped for one minute until they shocked her heart. A coma was the best way to let her recover and get blood transfusions and let her heal but they didn't want to bring her out of the coma too soon and cause further shock.
No one wanted her to be alone. Hen, Chimney and Eddie had done shifts to sit with her and keep an eye on her while Bobby and Athena rotated staying with Evan. They made sure neither one was ever alone and updated each other so everyone was in the loop.
"The baby?" A broken sound followed Evan's voice as his shoulders started to shake and his body hunched over. This didn't sound good to him. His wife was still in a coma, his baby had been born a month early and both of them had gone through extreme shock and trauma.
"You have a beautiful little girl. She's down in the neonatal unit, she's healthy and Maddie had stayed with her every day."
"I wanna see them."
Once the doctor cleared Evan to move and he was dressed in grey sweatpants and a matching hoodie, Evan was hobbling down the corridor with Bobby guiding him towards his daughter. He walked slightly hunched over to ease the ache in his chest and the throbbing in his shoulder and his legs felt like jelly about to come apart beneath him, but he forced himself to keep walking.
The two most important people in his life needed him; and he hadn't even met one of them yet.
Evan couldn't breathe. He paused in the doorway, clinging onto the door for dear life when his eyes locked on his sister. Maddie was stood in front of one of the incubators, a story book by her side and her hand stretched inside the incubator towards her niece.
She turned immediately when she heard a soft cry behind her. Tears flushed her face and she bolted forward, reaching her arms out just in time for Evan to fall into her arms so she could hold him up. His face tucked into her neck, his hands scrunched up her shirt in his fists and Bobby reached out to grab his torso so he didn't fully collapse onto Maddie or the floor.
"I'm so glad you're awake," Maddie whispered quietly, reaching a hand up to cup Evan's face as she grinned at him through tears. "Somebody wants to meet you."
She moved her hands to Evan's shoulders and with Bobby's help, they both guided his stumbling form over to a chair and eased him down before he collapsed into a heap on the floor.
Evan rubbed the base of his hands against his eyes to try and make the stinging pain go away and force the tears back so he could still see. He wanted a clear view of his daughter once she was placed in his arms.
It was almost like a wave of magic had washed over him when a tiny form was placed into the crook of his elbow. Evan curled his left hand into a fist to tense his arm and stop himself from shaking, he didn't want his daughter rattling in his arms and becoming afraid. He smoothed his index finger over her cheek, smiling through tears when he realised what she was wearing.
Maddie must have been to their apartment and gotten the hospital bag as well as pack a few things for Evan too. His daughter was wearing the pale cream baby grow Evan had picked out which said 'Daddy's Princess' on the front in golden letters. It looked a little big on her, but she was beautiful.
"And y-you're sure she's okay?" It didn't quite ring true for Evan that he had been in a coma, his wife was still in one and yet here was his precious little girl, perfectly fine, snoozing in his arms.
He knew he was lucky to have her here at all, but to see her look so perfect without any signs of injury or damage seemed too good to be true.
"She just needs a name,"
Maddie bent down on her knees and rested a hand on Evan's knee, staring up at him through tears. It felt weird to keep calling her 'little girl' or 'little lady' as Chimney had come to refer to her as. She needed a name but no one knew if Evan and (Y/n) had agreed on any names or not. Her ID bracelet said Baby Buckley which was endearing, but it wasn't a name.
A smile worked its way onto Evan's lips and he let out a breathless laugh while he continued to brush his finger against his daughter's cheek. They had names picked out and agreed on two months ago.
They decided to keep the gender a surprise, but they had agreed on a name for a boy and one for a girl.
"Madeline… after the person who raised me."
***
"Hi baby," Reaching his hands out, Evan took (Y/n)'s hand and interlocked his fingers with hers, bringing her hand up to rest against his lips. He ran his left hand up and down her arm, gliding his fingers over her skin in a way he knew would have tickled her if she were awake.
His shoulders hunched forward and he sat on the very edge of the chair until his knees were tucked beneath the bed like he was sat at the dining table.
The back of Evan's head was killing him, he felt like he had a thunderstorm taking place in his skull that was pounding to get out. There was a large square plaster stuck on the back of his head from the wound he received and he knew they had shaved part of his head to stitch it back up. When they got discharged he would need a buzz cut to grow his hair properly again.
Evan knew (Y/n) didn't like it when he shaved his hair.
"We uh, we've both been asleep for three days, it means you've finally gotten some rest though." He spoke quietly even though it was only the two of them in the room and his lips meshed against the back of (Y/n)'s hand.
She didn't look unwell from this angle.
She had the same tube up her nose as Evan had which he knew was a feeding tube while she was unconscious. She had IVs in and stickers on her chest in case they had to shock her heart again which Evan prayed they wouldn't. But (Y/n) didn't have any cuts or bruises on her face or her arms.
He was desperate to pull up her gown and see the damage to her abdomen, he knew already that it would be bad. Maddie told him what injuries she sustained. Her skin would be discoloured, bruised, stretched. Stitches would litter her abdomen beneath her belly button and healing was going to take a while.
Evan didn't like looking at (Y/n) and seeing a deflated stomach. He had grown so used to seeing the bump and kissing her stomach every morning and when he got back late from shift. He was used to rubbing his nose against her stomach and speaking to their baby. Seeing her stomach deflate like a popped balloon was unusual and Evan didn't like it.
He knew if they had gone through labour naturally, he wouldn't feel so uneasy about seeing her stomach like this. But their daughter had been born without either of them conscious to witness it. They had been so thrilled about having a baby and they missed the best part.
"We've got a baby girl, God, baby she's so gorgeous. She gets it from you. I told the nurse she's called Madeline- please don't wake up and tell me you've changed your mind, it's a bit too late now, I've already told everyone."
Evan had told the nurse so she could get forms ready and change the writing on the incubator from Baby Buckley to Madeline Buckley. And he knew it was just the news to cheer up his sister and thank her for watching over the three of them while they had been unwell. He prayed (Y/n) wasn't going to wake up and change her mind once she saw their daughter because Evan had set her name in stone now.
"So, I need you to wake up soon, baby. Because I don't know what to do with myself. I was supposed to coach you through this and then you'd tell me what to do and how to make everything work. I can't do this without you and I don't want to. I love you."
He brushed a hand against his eyes and took a deep, snuffly breath to try and clear his head.
"Please come back to me. I'm not moving until you do, I'll sit here and talk and talk and talk until you wake up and tell me to shut up."
"Excuse me… sir?"
Evan jolted awake, snapping his eyes open as a gasp burst past his lips like he had been resuscitated. He blinked rapidly, pushing himself up before wincing when a splitting agony coursed up his arm and through his shoulder.
He had fallen asleep. When did he fall asleep? The lights were on in the room and there were no windows leading outside. Evan couldn't tell whether it was still afternoon, if it was night or if he had stayed and slept through the night with (Y/n) and if it was now morning or not. Time had slipped away from him unknowingly.
His left arm ached from where he had been laid, he had fallen asleep in the chair with his head and chest flopped on the bed. And his left hand had still been tangled with (Y/n)'s fingers while his right hand was sprawled out over her thigh.
Evan looked up and tried to twitch his lips into a smile but he couldn't quite manage it. He assumed he had given the nurse a dirty look with the way she raised a brow and took a step away from him.
"Who are you?"
"Uh, who… Buck, I- no I mean, Buckley. Mr Buckley, her husband." Evan waved his hand around and shook his head to liven himself up. He wasn't lying, he was her husband. That was why he was tangled around her like a vine and why no one had kicked him out yet even though visiting hours had long since gone. Evan had come to find that none of the staff had kicked out any of the 118 when they stayed day and night with him, (Y/n) and Madeline.
No one dared.
"Oh, good, just the person we needed."
"Why's that?"
Her smile made Evan relax as he leaned back in the chair and clicked his spine into place. He stretched his arms out in front of him, trying to be careful of his shoulder and when he looked back up and the young nurse, she looked like she was itching with anticipation.

me getting into a new character: how neurodivergent am i allowed to go
cw: fluff + a few mild horny thoughts
Tumblr media
Rafayel has this little quirk where he's practically incapable of acting like a normal boyfriend. Or a normal person, honestly. Where other people would just take your hand walking down the street, he holds it out with a too-happy, beaming grin so that he can see you take it yourself. Where other people would just sit down at a fancy restaurant, he makes mock offended noises if you try to sit before he can make a big show of pulling your chair out for you.
Where other people would kiss you, he likes biting.
"I'm thinking," he muses, nibbling on your earlobe, "what about a diamond necklace?"
You sigh, burrowing yourself further into him, back against his chest. You're quite comfortable, and you could even fall asleep if it wasn't for his constant yammering. "No."
"Come on," he complains, sinking his teeth into your cheek this time. You let out a brief sound of exasperation, trying to bat at him, but he remains steadfast, tongue poking out to soothe the minor indent he leaves into your skin. "How'm I supposed to prove myself if you won't let me?"
"How would you buying me a diamond necklace prove anything?"
One of his hands slips under your shirt, resting right under your chest. His fingers knead whatever they get in contact with—it's not painful, actually it feels pretty good, not that you'd ever admit it to him. Though you suppose, turning around in his hold and silently indicating to him to pull you closer may just be admitting exactly that.
"It'd prove I'm not cheap, for one thing. I'd be able to tell everyone, whatever my girlfriend wants, she gets! You're so strange, not wanting anything. Do you even know how rich I am?"
"Tell you what," you mumble, burying your face in his neck and completely melting in his arms as soon as his comforting scent fills your senses, "you buy me a quesadilla tomorrow and I'll tell everyone you're practically my sugar daddy."
Rafayel scoffs. "Like anyone would ever believe you were a sugar baby. You don't have the constitution for it."
That might be a new lead in the top ten strangest insults you've ever heard from him. Shooting a small glare up his way, you bite back, "Are you going to let me sleep or are you gonna keep talking?"
"Keep talking," he answers without hesitation, then barrels forward before you can protest. "Hmm, maybe I should just fill my place up with amenities for you. Cheese plates in the kitchen. Exfoliators in the bathroom. A butler to take your coat."
The ridiculous idea of him hiring a butler just so someone could occasionally take your coat from you when you come over makes you laugh, which in turn puts a pleased smile on his face and accidentally encourages him to continue.
"What's that kids' movie you like? Twelve Dancing Princesses? What if I just repaint this room with the floor design from that?"
Now hang on. This one actually interests you, the idea of playing out your childhood fantasies out by dancing around in Rafayel's room. If you asked, you're sure he'd hire someone to replicate the same dress the main character from that movie wears too. "Wouldn't that be embarrassing? Anyone who comes here would see it."
"Yeah, something tells Thomas won't care. And if anyone else does come here, they'll probably write a boringly long article meant to flatter me. Renowned artist is super nice and generous to his childish girlfriend—"
"Says the guy who cried during Island Princess," you fire back, "also, it's nice to know you're only trying to spoil me for acclaim."
"Hello? Did you miss the part where I said boringly long? I'm trying to spoil you because I want you to spend my money."
"Why? It turns you on or something?"
"Maybe," he grins, pretending to lean in to kiss you, then sinking his teeth into your cheek once more the second you purse your lips to meet him halfway. With a quiet growl, you kick at his feet, and he only laughs against your skin. "Come oooon, I'm serious. Tell me at least one expensive thing I can get you."
Finally, you open your eyes, looking up at him with all your sincerest conviction. "Raf. If you wanna ruin your reputation and renovate your floor into the Twelve Dancing Princesses one just to prove a point, go for it. But I'm warning you, I'm gonna have to give you the best head of your life if you do that."
Rafayel groans, the hand that's not up your shirt tangling into your hair. "Don't tell me that, you're gonna force me to be selfless and turn it down. This isn't transactional. I give you my card and tell you to go wild, and then you just do it. Nothing in return."
Ah, yes, the Raf classic. Say the sweetest possible thing in the most irritating way he possibly can. Well, two can play at that game.
"If you give me your card and expect nothing in return, I'm going to strictly buy paint supplies in all your favorite brands, all your favorite colors—"
"I don't have favorite colors—"
Clamping a hand over his mouth, you press on. "And your weak attempt to spoil me will fall flat because not only will I only buy things you like, but I'll wire you the entire amount of what I spend the next day."
He lets out a dramatic half-whine, shaking you a little. "Man, you're so embarrassing!" Tugging you closer, he drowns out your complaints with his own protests. "So clingy, stop getting so close to me! Oh my god," he moans, holding your hand tighter the more you try to fight him and pull back, "get away from me, stalker. Let go!"
"Holy shit, you're so annoying—"
"And you're so obsessed with me, it's concerning."
For once, you're the one pouting at him. "I'm trying to sleep. You're really warm. Can you please push my limits later?"
An affectionate smile lights up his face. "Yeah, okay. As long as you agree tomebuyingyouapradabag."
"No."
Rafayel snorts, tucking his face into your hair. "And you think you could handle being a sugar baby."

When the Corroded Coffin makes it, Eddie leans into the success completely. He can't really help it, he never thought he'd make it anywhere, wouldn't even have a moderately comfortable life and now he's here, people love him, want him, think he's worth their time. It's intoxicating and he feels like if he slows down for just a second, he'll lose it all.
Steve is supportive, of course he is. It's everything Eddie's ever wanted, success in the world and the most amazing person at home, loving him unconditionally. But Eddie grows more and more frantic about his work, tours, everything. He loves Steve so much, he talks about him in awards ceremonies, in interviews and credits him as his forever muse that he maybe forgets a little that random people who he'll never meet hear more about his love for his boyfriend than Steve himself.
Maybe if he took a moment to think, Eddie would have remembered that Steve was left alone for most of his teenage years, that the love he had was real but distant. That this love always stopped him from asking for more, asking for time spent together, for actions, not words. But he didn't.
After many dinners wrapped in cellophane and tossed in the fridge, postponed dates, hurried goodbye kisses and whispered promises over the phone that never come true, it happens. Steve doesn't blame him, doesn't scream or snap, but Eddie would have preferred if he did. He just calmly tells him that he loves him, will always love Eddie and he can't imagine there being anyone else, but he finally realized that while he's happy for Eddie, he can't live through someone else's dream. He needs, wants more than another empty house and waiting, so much waiting. He kisses Eddie goodbye and whispers, "I'm so happy you managed to break your cycle, Eddie. The crime, poverty...I'm so proud of you. But now I need to break my own."
---
As Steve fully settles in his own apartment almost a year later, heart aching but finally not paralyzed, he turns on the radio and hears a familiar voice, like the sweetest pain. He sings a new song, one that Steve doesn't know.
I painted your room at midnight
So I'd know yesterday was over
I put all your books on the top shelf
Even the one with the four leaf clover
Man, I'm getting older
I took all your pictures off the wall
And wrapped them in a newspaper blanket
I haven't slept in what seems like a century
And now I can barely breathe
Just like a crow chasing the butterfly
Dandelions lost in the summer sky
When you and I were getting high as outer space
I never thought you'd slip away
I guess I was just a little too late
Your words still serenade me
Your lullabies won't let me sleep
I've never heard such a haunting melody
Oh, it's killing me
You know I can barely breathe
Just like a crow chasing the butterfly
Dandelions lost in the summer sky
When you and I were getting high as outer space
I never thought you'd slip away
I guess I was just a little too late
The last soft tones finish and Steve takes a deep breath, shaky and uncertain. He loves his new life, loves what he's doing, studying to save lives, and yet...
It's almost funny. They broke up a year ago, yet Eddie never left him behind. There was no pressure to get back together, no unwanted declarations of love, just...showing. Steve told Eddie that he needed actions, not words, and here he was, for a year, giving Steve the space he needed but always checking in, always making sure Steve was okay.
Eddie's words were his actions and Steve finally understands how to break his own cycle. Being alone doesn't mean he's lonely. Not when Eddie's thoughts never leave him.
Not when he remembers the four leaf clover he scribbled into his textbook.
When he says he always thinks of Steve when seeing dandelions, so bright and comforting, like home.
The nights they spent together, drunk on each other's presence.
And the melody Steve always hummed when he got out of shower.
He reaches for his phone, their careful messages blinking at him, making him wonder how this love can feel so distant yet so real.
I hope your classes are going well, Stevie.
Wayne says hi. He says he'll call you next Tuesday.
I hope you found what you were looking for.
I hope you're happy.
I'm thinking about you, always.
He types something cheesy and ridiculous, but he can't help himself. He just feels loved, seen.
What if I told you that you aren't too late, crow?
His phone dings back almost immediately and he smiles.

Astarion x F! Tav
18+ consensual body control, intimacy aversion/exploration, sub/dom, total control, body caging, restraint, rough sex, p-in-v, vulnerability, crying after sex, aftercare, tenderness
Tav has caught on that her favorite vampire doesn't enjoy touching or being touched by others. But she has a suggestion to possibly help that piques his interest...
Masterlist
-
As Tav talked to the merchant she felt two cold finger taps on her wrist.
She smiled, turning her head to give him a nod, returning to bartering.
The signal that he wanted to initiate their scenario.
After the tiefling party, she had asked if he had actually wanted to bed her. She had her suspicions, and ever forward, had asked plainly.
He tried to dance around an answer, but she knew him too well by then. Eventually relenting, he had said that he had done it out of obligation. Explaining that he needed protection, and bedding her was a fast track to devotion. Or, at least, was supposed to be.
That conversation led into more, delving into his aversion to intimacy and touch itself. Tav was not upset, if anything she wanted to help.
"Well, do you want to be intimate with others?" She offered curiously on one of those late nights they stayed up talking.
"I don't know, maybe?" He scoffed, flicking his hand up in annoyance. "It's something I'm going to have to get over eventually, if I'm ever going to be a functioning member of polite society."
"Not necessarily," Tav mused, taking the wine bottle he offered to her. "There's lots of ways to get around things like that and still be around others."
Her eyes lit up in thought. "You could wear gloves, or even hire an escort to practice with."
He gave her a withering look. "Darling, though I was one in some respects, I'm not going to trust my comfort with a sex worker I don't even know."
He threw his hands up dramatically. "I would much rather have someone like you if there was to be any 'practice' to be had." His pointer and middle fingers curling at the word.
"That's not a bad idea, actually." Tav suggested, tilting her head slightly.
He looked at her, his own head tilting opposite hers. Mouth pursing up to the side in consideration.
"Go on..." He drawled.
"Well, I could be like a puppet. You steer me where you want me and I stay there." She mused, leaning back on her side. "I wouldn't move unless you moved me, something like that."
"Hmm." He lilted. Pausing, seeming about to say something. Then just offered another thoughtful "Hmm..."
"Sleep on it. You don't need to decide now, and I'm fine with whatever you need." Tav shrugged, taking another swig from the bottle.
"If you decide you want to try, just give me a tap." She demonstrated on her wrist, two fingers lightly tapping.
Three nights later, she was at the firepit. Her hands clasped behind her back, leaning over to inspect the soup Gale was excitedly explaining. Two little strikes against the inside of her wrist brought her eyes back up.
She gave him a warm smile and a near imperceptible nod, turning back to Gale to give him her undivided attention about the intricacies of beef broth.
That night, she asked at the entrance of his tent.
"Come in, sweet thing."
"Where do you want me?" She asked, stepping inside. Already leaving her limbs loose and comfortable.
"Here..." He waved his hand at the space next to his bedroll.
She sat down, legs crossed neatly beneath her. Hands resting palm down in her lap. Waiting for his direction.
He hovered across from her at first, uncertain.
"You're in control. I'm your marionette. Move me." She encouraged, turning her wrist face up on her knee. Letting her hand fall open, relaxed.
He looped his fingers around her wrist and lifted experimentally.
True to her word, she kept her arm limp enough for him to puppet. Steering it around in a circle.
This seemed to give him more confidence, pulling her wrist down to the floor of the tent.
She followed, laying her head down. He adjusted her legs into a slight curl on her side. Pulling her arm up into a natural resting position.
He reached behind her and grabbed a small pillow, lifting her head and sliding it beneath.
He came to lay down next to her on his back. A good distance still between them, but not so far as to feel cold.
"Good?" He whispered.
She nodded, settling into the form he had set for her.
He leaned up and blew out the candle.
"Goodnight, darling." He hushed, laying back down in the dark.
That first night, that had been it. Just her laying in the dark next to him. His impressed eyes appraising her the next morning when he found her in the same position he had left her in. Breathing softly in her sleep.
As the nights went on, and as they grew closer outside of this arrangement, he got more curious.
Bringing her closer to him, touching her. Experimenting with angles and positions.
He had explained after that first night that he didn't want her to be entirely still. 'Too much like a corpse...' He had shivered. He still wanted her to interact with him, just in small movements that he could lead.
If he led her hands to his chest, she could circle her fingers softly there. If he led to his ear, she could massage it gently.
And, if at any point he no longer wanted that touch or found it uncomfortable, he would simply lead her hand away.
If he felt he wanted to be done entirely for the night, he would tap her wrist again, and she would get up and go. No questions asked.
Those nights, oddly enough, were the ones she felt closest to him. That he felt safe enough with her to end touch that he had initiated without fear of retaliation.
It was endlessly exciting for her when he found a touch or position that he really enjoyed.
One of his favorites being her chest to his back, leaning into her in a seated position. One of her arms loosely wrapped around his waist, her legs bent at his sides. Her other hand scratching gently along his scalp.
He leaned into her like this, head tilted back, legs nestled between hers. Practically purring as her fingernails traced lines along his scalp.
His hands would rest on her thighs, sometimes still, sometimes trailing back and forth. Her hand around his waist stroking his side softly with her thumb.
He would even fall asleep in this position, head turning into her neck. Occasionally pulling her down to lay with him, but sometimes falling entirely asleep against her chest.
She never moved from anywhere he put her, unless he gave her the signal that he was done for the night.
It even started proving beneficial outside of their little experiment. In battle he would see a blow coming over her shoulder and pull her out of the trajectory. She moved like water with him, they could almost dance through skirmishes together.
Of course, blood drinking came with the territory. He would always ask before he imbibed, and she almost always said yes.
His favored position for that was her sat on his lap, facing him. Legs hooked around his hips, arms draped loosely over his shoulders.
He would slot into that cup, resting the side of his head on her shoulder while he drank. Her hands comfortable on her forearms, her head softly falling against his.
Last night, he had initiated something that had surprised her.
Sitting down across from her in her usual starting position, he had picked up her wrist and led it to his chest. Trailing her fingertips in a dragging motion down the opening of his camp shirt.
Her surprise must have shown on her face as he smiled almost sheepishly at her.
"I'm feeling indulgent tonight." He purred. Lifting her hand to cup his pec gently. "Seems like a good night for exploration."
She smiled, nodding in agreement. Giving his pec one cheeky squeeze.
He continued to lead her hands across his body, pulling her closer to get a better range of movement.
Her puppeted hands sliding up over his hips, across his ribcage, over the curve of his shoulders.
His eyes had grown dark, chest rising and falling a little more strained.
It didn't go beyond that, with him eventually settling her into another favored sleeping position. Her head on his chest, arm draped across his ribcage, one leg curled up on his hip. His hand kneading and circling little figure eights into her thigh.
This was one of her personal favorites. One of the positions where she would often find sleep first. She wondered if he initiated this one so often cause he could tell.
So when night fell, she naturally wondered where tonight would take her.
He had absolutely had one-off tries that he decided didn't work for him, never bringing her back to them again. But his direction of her had been gradually more sensual. Something that made heat settle in her pelvis.
When they settled in for the night, she was surprised when he hadn't started leading her at all. Just running his hands over her body.
This wasn't entirely new, he did have areas of her that he enjoyed touching for tactile reasons. Particularly along her waist, under her ribcage and her upper thighs. He had remarked just how soft her skin was there, and how he was very glad she wasn't ticklish.
But the touch he drug across her now was more insistent. Needful pulls of her hips, her ass. Cupping her breasts.
She didn't move without permission, but her head fell back slightly. Letting out a soft moan.
He pulled up on both of her hands, urging them to his ears. Groaning in the back of his throat when she traced and massaged into them.
His hands pulled her legs open, hooking one up around his hip as he slid forward. Angling in between them, one hand pulling her thigh for leverage as he slowly started to grind into her.
His body pushed her onto her back, fingers digging into her propped thigh. Hand leaving it, his leg sweeping it up and open against him.
He caught her mouth in a kiss, hips fluid against hers. A hardening length pressing down into her.
For the first time, she moved of her own accord. Hand leaving his ear to cup the back of his head.
She realized her transgression and was about to move back, but his hand laced over hers.
"Please," He breathed against her mouth. "Touch me more."
This was the ultimate test, giving her free reign again. Under the suffocating wave of lust, she was determined.
"Are you sure?" She whispered when she could get a breath in.
"Yes, I trust you." He murmured, moving down to her neck.
She used the touches she had learned he enjoyed, fingers trailing along his chest, cupping over the bone of his hip, dipping into the curve of the base of his spine.
He shivered all over when she would stroke these desired places. Eyes fluttering up into his lids.
When her fingers traced the v-line of his hips something snapped in him. Needing control again.
He took hold of her wrists roughly, his legs twisting into hers and encouraging her to flip onto her belly.
She went limp again and followed his unspoken command, chest against the floor of his tent.
Pinning her wrists against her lower back, he hiked her hips up high to meet him with a grunt. In one motion he pulled her dress up over her ass, bunching up at her waist. Pulling her underclothes down roughly to her knees.
She moaned into his pillow, clasping her hands together in unholy prayer.
He unhooked her fingers far enough to slip his own in, curling into her. The rustling of fabric behind her, then the feeling of his cock teasing against her entrance.
There was no more questions, no more clarification. Just his voice low and dangerous behind her.
"You will take me."
She nodded into his pillow, pushing her legs wider for him.
He pushed inside of her without mercy, her cunt stretching deliciously to accommodate him.
She mewled into his pillow, and he fisted her hair into a ponytail. Pulling her head up.
"You will sing for me."
His hips rolled into her in hard thrusts. Rocking her body forward with each strike. It was slow and animalistic. Savoring and vicious.
He pushed her legs back together with his own, her ass seated higher, her cunt tighter around him. He groaned, caging his body over hers, forcing her chest further into the bedroll.
This new angle stroked directly against her g-spot. She moaned out choppy cries with each thrust, pushing her ass up higher into him.
"Is that good, little songbird?" He smiled, biting along her shoulder blades.
"Yes," She shuddered. "Harder, please."
"Fuck," He hissed, losing his composure. Releasing her hand to grip both sides of her hips. Slamming into her ravenously.
Her eyes rolled back into her head, already starting to clench around him. Clasped hands white knuckling.
He could feel she was close, a wide smile crossing his face when he realized she was waiting for his permission.
Teasing her for a little longer, he stayed silent outside of panting with exertion. He wanted to watch her come more undone.
She was writhing in small movements under him, trying to hold back the wave that was cresting. Whimpering in her effort.
Begging was out of the question, this was his call. But she was getting to her breaking point.
As soon as it became unbearable, he spoke.
"Come. Now."
Her whole body shuddered, shoulders arching back into still clasped hands. Release ripping through her from deep in her core, forcing near agonizing pleasure in an arc up from her pelvis. Her voice was entirely out of her control, pleading whines pushing into indignant near shrieks from her throat.
Her cum coated him in a slick veil, pushing out onto his thighs. The sight of it sent him over, the clenching pulls of her cunt further demanding.
He laced his hand back into hers, gripping his fingers into her knuckles. Crying out as his body tremored. His hips sloppy, bracing his other hand on her lower back as he filled her to the brim. Her fingers pulsed reassuringly into his as he fell apart over her. His unrestrained sweet sounds making her heart sing.
He collapsed into her lower back, pushing her clasped hands above him. Pulling them apart to lace into both of his along her sides. Still nestled inside of her. Both of them laying flat on the bedroll now.
He panted hard against her, sending little waves of cool air along her side. He unhooked his fingers high enough to tap twice on her wrist. The signal that he wanted to stop their scenario.
"Do you want me to go?" She hushed, rubbing her thumb inside of his palm.
He shook his head against her lower back, not moving from their joining in the slightest.
She smiled, twisting gently underneath him. Bringing his slack body onto her.
"Come here to me." She purred, bringing his head down to her chest. Running her fingernails in arcs along his scalp, holding him around his waist.
He melted into her, body fully relaxing. Quiet tears falling onto her sternum. His arm holding her side strong against him. His grip almost fearful, as if he was anticipating someone trying to take her from him.
She only hummed softly, a slow tune she had heard in a passing tavern. Fingers leaving her love in lines through his hair.
His breath slowed, eyes fluttering shut, his long lashes tickling her chest. Body warmed and pliant, he fell under her spell. Blessedly asleep.
She smiled, continuing to stroke his curls. She would often stay awake just to hold him like this. It felt sacred, a rite that only she got to partake in. The guardian of his rest.
"Oh, my starlight..." She hushed, kissing the top of his head.
She felt his sleeping smile against her chest. The nightcall of insects her hymn, the high moon her witness. His body her holy duty.
Letting her head turn on his pillow, she allowed herself to fall with him.

i. You're smarter than me and yet you still fell
An unsuspecting rock caught your foot and caused you to stumble. Before embarrassment could set in, a strong hand reached out to steady you. It was Luke Castellan, smirking.
"Smooth move there," he teased, a playful glint in his eyes.
Blushing, you shot him a mock glare. "Thanks for the rescue, Captain Obvious."
Luke chuckled, "Anytime. Wouldn't want my partner to get taken down by a mere rock."
As the laughter died down, Luke extended his hand to help you up.
The contact lingered for longer than necessary, with a gentle warmth passing between you. You couldn't help but smile, grateful for the unexpected help and shared amusement.
"Careful, (name)," Luke grinned, "I'd hate for my heroic moment to go to waste."
Tumblr media
ii. I'm sorry for letting you get hurt
Luke gently guided you into the small clearing in the forest, concerned on his face. "Easy there, (name) Let's get you seated."
You winced as you sat in a worn-out chair, the aftermath of the dangerous situation still coursing through your veins.
Luke knelt beside you and retrieved a makeshift first aid kit.
"Okay, deep breaths," he reassured, his fingers deftly working to inspect your injuries.
You couldn't help but chuckle weakly. "I always knew doing a quest with you was a risky business, but I didn't expect to become a demigod pin cushion."
Luke shot you a sympathetic smile, "Well, you can thank the monsters for that. But don't worry, I've got this."
His touch was gentle, and the soft exchange of words set a relaxing rhythm.
"You know," Luke mused, "I didn't sign up to be a nurse, but I guess it comes with the territory of saving demigods."
You smirked, "Who knew being a hero came with perks like this?"
"Better?" he asked, finishing the last bandage.
You nodded, grateful for both his skills and his company. "Much better, thanks to you."
Luke's eyes met yours, a warmth in their depths. "Wouldn't want anything to happen to my favorite quest partner."
A blush crept onto your cheeks, and you playfully nudged him. "Careful, Castellan. You might be getting soft on me."
Tumblr media
iii. You said you're not cold and yet you're in my arms
"It's peaceful out here," Luke remarked, his eyes fixed on the stars.
You nodded, "Yeah, a nice break from the chaos. Almost makes you forget we're on a quest."
As the temperature dropped, shivers ran down your spine. Luke noticed and instinctively drew you close. "Getting cold, (Name)?"
You smiled, enjoying the warmth radiating from his presence. "A little. But I can handle it."
Luke raised an eyebrow, "Stubborn as always. Come here." He opened his arms, inviting you into a gentle embrace.
Leaning against him, you felt the comforting heat as he wrapped his jacket around both of you.
"You know," Luke began, his voice soft, "I didn't expect to find moments like these on a quest."
You chuckled, "Well, life's full of surprises, especially when you're in danger most of the time."
His fingers absentmindedly traced patterns on your arm. "True, but I'm not complaining. It's nice to have someone to share these moments with."
"You ever wonder what's out there beyond the stars?" Luke mused.
You followed his gaze, "Sometimes. But right now, I'm just happy to be here with you."
Tumblr media
iv. You said you're tired so I let you sleep on my laps
"Sit down for a moment, Luke," you said, finding a comfortable vantage point.
He nodded, grateful for the chance to rest, and settled against a tree. You joined him, the coolness of the night settling around you.
Luke's exhaustion was palpable, his eyes heavy with the weight of the challenges ahead.
"You've been pushing yourself hard," you remarked, concern evident in your voice.
Luke ran a hand through his disheveled hair, a tired smile on his lips. "It's the nature of the quest, (Name). No time for breaks."
You leaned back against the tree, allowing him to rest his head in your lap.
The simple gesture elicited a content sigh from Luke. The soft rustle of leaves and the distant sounds of the camp formed a gentle backdrop as you gently stroked his hair.
"Close your eyes," you suggested, "I'll keep watch for a while."
The quest could wait; the exhaustion in his bones demanded this pause.
You smiled down at him, "Sometimes, all we need is a moment to rest and recharge. We can't save the world if we're running on empty, right?"
Luke chuckled softly, "You're wise beyond your years, (Name)"
Hours passed, and you remained steadfast in your position, unwilling to disturb Luke.
Occasionally, he would shift, seeking a more comfortable position, and you adjusted accordingly.
As dawn approached, the first light of the day painted the sky pink and orange. Luke stirred, blinking his eyes open.
"Thanks, (Name)," he said, his voice carrying a warmth that mirrored the rising sun. "I needed that."
Tumblr media
v. You should be glad I'm not stealing it
Luke subtly excused himself, claiming to be scouting the area. Unbeknownst to you, he had another mission in mind.
With a determining glint in his eyes, Luke slipped away. Not so carefully because he keeps accidentally tripping over a rock.
While you and the others were setting up camp, Luke disappeared and made his way to a nearby town.
"I hope I can find something special here" Luke said with a sigh. The market appears to be nothing special - a small rundown market in the middle of nowhere. What did he expect to find there? Nothing.
The distant sounds of your camp echoed in his ears as he entered the quaint marketplace, determined to find the ideal materials for the bracelet.
Luke conversed with the shopkeeper while carefully selecting sparkling beads.
"I need something special, something that reflects the night sky," he explained, his eyes betraying a hidden motive.
The shopkeeper, unaware of the quest taking place in the woods, enthusiastically assisted Luke.
"Ah, a night sky-inspired piece, what an excellent choice! Is it for someone special?" they asked.
Luke, maintaining his secrecy, simply grinned. "You could say that."
Back at camp, you were wondering about Luke's - it had been 30 minutes and you were concerned! "Where's Luke?" you asked the others.
"He said he's scouting deeper into the forest," one of your half-siblings replied with a shrug.
Meanwhile, in the marketplace, Luke happily received the carefully wrapped bracelet from the shopkeeper. "I hope it brings luck to your journey, whoever it's for," the shopkeeper said with a knowing smile.
As he approached the camp, he couldn't help but feel nervous.
When he returned, you greeted him with a curious smile. "Find anything interesting?"
Luke's eyes flickered as he handed you the wrapped package. "Maybe I did," he said, trying to hide the anticipation in his voice.
As you unwrapped the bracelet, Luke couldn't help but catch his breath.
Your face lit up with a genuine smile as the beads glinted in the firelight. "Luke, this is incredible! Where did you find it?"
He chuckled, grateful that his secret mission had been a success. "Just stumbled upon it. Thought it might bring you a bit of luck on our quest."

Take The Weight Off His Shoulders - Chapter Five
Tumblr media
Chapter Summary | A dead end following a lead at work leaves you tense, with Javi only too happy to help you destress.
Chapter Warnings | Mention of drugs, drug related violence and the drugs trade. Zero knowledge of how journalists find information in the 90s but we ride with it. Explicit smut, these two do some stuff in public that the lord wouldn't approve, fingering, Javi is a dirty talking menace.
Pairing | dbf!Javier Peña x F!Reader
Word Count | 3.5K
Authors Note | So, as well as being a sexy little dbf!Javi fic, this also has another overarching plot that I'm starting to introduce in this chapter - I really hope you like the addition of this other part of the story, as well as these two finally getting it on! Another huge shoutout to @undercoverpena who has been such a rock with this chapter, helping me smooth out the kinks to get it to where I wanted it to be. Thank you for the support so far. There’s a spring in your step when you walk into work on Monday. You’d spent all of Sunday is some sort of daze, thinking about what had happened with Javi and all the things that he’d promised you over the phone. You let your hand wander a little on Sunday night, bringing yourself off to his promise of showing you exactly what you’d been missing, so much so that the lack of sleep from keeping yourself awake didn’t bother you as you sat down at your desk, taking out your notes to start working on the piece for the newspaper about the drugs bust in town last week.
“You seem more chipper this morning,” Your boss muses, setting down a mug of coffee next to you like she always does each morning, “You sleeping better?”
The answer is no, not really, just that you’re awake for a far better reason that pining for your dad’s buddy, now you’re awake because he wants you just as much as you want him and those daydreams and the visions that come to you in your dreams are far nicer to deal with than the wondering of if you were going to make a fool out of yourself in front of him.
“Yeah, much better, thanks,” You smile, picking up the mug to take a sip, “I’m gonna start working on the bust story today, hopefully it’ll be ready by the end of the day.”
She places a hand on your shoulder and gives you a squeeze, “Nice work,” She smiles back at you, “Your stories have been really well received recently.”
She leaves you to it, letting you open your notebook, you rip the old pages out, lie them out on the desk in front of you, picking up a pen, putting it to the fresh page to start formulating the bare bones of the story.
It’s easy to start with the facts.
1. There’s a house in town had been involved in a police raid.
2. A large amount of both cocaine and marijuana had been seized.
3. The house had been empty.
4. The police had spoken to the neighbours.
You circle the last point on your notepad: no-one could figure out who would be responsible for storing that amount of drugs at the address. Staring at it, seeing it in a new order, your brain begins to think, wondering about how you might be able to dig deeper.
Something, the instinct that made all of this possible, tells you to start with who owns the house. Fingers typing, suddenly remembering that you’d overheard your dad talking with your mom a few days ago about how they’d tried that avenue and come up at a loss down at the station, but not why.
Opening the webpage for the public records for the county, your fingers drill in the address, clicking on the search result that pops up. Leaning forward in your chair, chin propped on your palm, you scan the information in front of you. There’s a list of everyone who had ever owned the address since it was built, starting from the first all the way down to the last, which is where you realise what the dead end is. The last owner was dead. Had been for almost a year, and the property was waiting to go up for sale again, which meant whoever had been storing the drugs in the house was squatting.
You let out a frustrated sigh, because if the police can’t figure it out from here then what makes you think you can. Except, when you sit there, tapping your fingers against the desk in frustration and realise you’d been there. You’d been in that house a few months ago with Liv, who had dragged you to some kind of party.
Almost automatically you’re reaching for the phone and dialing the number you’ve got memorized for her. She picks up on the third ring.
“Hello, this is Laredo insurance, you’re speaking to Liv, how can I help?”
You bite back a giggle at her customer service voice, it’s so unlike the girl you really know, “Hello bestie,” You greet, which has her gasping down the phone.
“Oh my god have I forgotten a lunch date?” She asks.
“No, it’s okay, don’t panic,” You say, “It’s a really random question, but you know that party we went to a few months ago, do you know who hosted it?”
You can hear her clicking her tongue in the background as she thinks, “I can’t even remember who invited us,” She sighs, as do you, “I think I just heard about it from someone, who’d heard about it from someone else.”
“God damn it.” You mumble, head in your hand.
“Is it important?”
“I don’t know,” You answer honestly, “It was the place that got busted last week, and I’m just trying to do some digging, but it’s okay, I’m sure if it’s meant to be I’ll figure it out.”
“I have every faith in you,” You can tell she’s smiling on the other end, “Listen, I gotta bounce, but how about we do drinks later on this week?”
“Sounds good, phone me later and we can sort it out.”
“Alright, bye bestie!”
You laugh and wish her a goodbye, deciding you’ve gone as far as you can with this for today. You save what you have of the story, thinking you could send it to your boss for approval as is, but deep down you know there’s something here you can pull on, something bigger than just busting a house full of drugs and taking them off the streets to be dealt, so you keep it to yourself for the rest of the day.
“I’m heading out,” Your boss speaks as she walks past your desk on the way out, “Did you get the story finished?”
A smile thrown her way in response, trying to cover the fact that you want more time, “Almost,” You speak, “Just a few more tweaks and a couple of things I want to check, but I’ll get it to you as soon as I can.”
She nods, seemingly pleased that you’re wanting to make it as perfect as possible, “No rush, we can hold it for a few days until you’re happy with it.”
“Thank you, I appreciate it.”
“Well, you have yourself a good evening and I’ll see you tomorrow.”
You wish her the same, watching as she heads out, leaving you in the office alone. You sigh, annoyed that there’s nothing further you can really do. You save the document, gathering your things and deciding you can worry about what to do next tomorrow.
When you emerge from the front door of the office and look across the parking lot to your car, you’re taken aback to find Javier’s truck parked in the space right next to it. He’s leaning against the driver’s side of the truck, casual as anything, with his ankles crossed over each other and his arms crossed over his chest. He notices you stood still, motions you with his head to come over.
Your feet carry you across the parking lot, shoulders heavy with stress and that niggling feeling that you’ve been missing something all day, the one thing that’s going to make you realise what’s going on, but seeing Javi slip his aviators off his face and tuck them into his shirt, shooting a smile your way, you feel a little better.
“What are you doing here?”
He shrugs, in that cool, casual way that he always does, “Wanted to see you,” He reaches out, taking your hand in his to pull you closer, but does so whilst looking around, making sure no-one either of you know can see you, “Wanted to do this.”
Then he leans down, presses his lips to yours, one hand cradling your cheek. It’s different to the kiss at the ranch, it’s not rushed. He keeps his lips pressed against your own for a while, pulling away, but planting one right on your forehead as he leans back against the car.
You bite your bottom lip between your teeth, smiling a little as you feel the temperature rise across your face, “How did you know what time I finished?”
“Lucky guess,” He shrugs, “Thought if you didn’t come out within an hour I’d have just gone home, tried again tomorrow.”
“You would have waited for me for an hour?” You chuckle, leaning against your own car behind you.
“Yeah,” He nods with a smile, “Would wait a lot longer but you know how it is, things to do.”
You settle your back against the passenger side of your car, rubbing a hand up one of your arms, “You seem tense,” Javi observes, “What’s up?”
You consider telling him the whole story, but there’s something niggling in the back of your mind that this is something you should keep to yourself for a while, just until you can try digging for more information first. If you keep drawing up blanks then you can ask him, see if his expertise can offer any ideas, but for now, you keep it vague.
“It’s just work,” You shrug, “Deadlines and stuff, but I’ll be okay.”
You watch him look at you, those beautiful brown eyes looking directly into your own, his mouth pulled into a smirk, “You wanna take a drive?” He asks, head tilting to his truck, “Let me help with some of that stress.”
That familiar pool of arousal is settling in your tummy, excitement thrumming through your veins at what he means. He wants to touch you, and God do you want to touch him right back. But it’s getting late, and you know you’re parents are going to wonder where you are soon enough. There’s not enough time to go driving around, but you think there’s just enough time for something else.
You grin back at him, reaching to grasp his wrist in your hand, somewhat aware of how big he is when you can’t fit your fingers all the way round it. You drag him back across the parking lot, and down the side of the your office building. It’s a small alley, definitely not the most romantic spot, but at least it doesn’t smell, and unless someone is coming looking, you’re not going to be disturbed, most people having gone home from the offices on either side of you.
You go down just far enough that you’re in the shadows, far enough that even if someone did wander past, you’re going to be hidden as much as possible. You drop his hand as you lean back against the brick wall, staring at him as he takes a step closer to you, hands settling on your waist.
“You want me here?” He speaks lowly, bringing his face closer to yours, so close that you could reach up on your toes and kiss him, but you want to see if he breaks first.
You nod your head, tipping it back against the brick, shoving your hips off the wall as some kind of hint to him, “What do you want, hermosa?”
“Want you to touch me, Javi.” You breathe, leaning up just a touch so he can feel the breath from your lips across his.
“But I already am.” He smirks, eyes flitting to where his hands are resting on your hips.
With a roll of your eyes, you reach your own hand down your body, coming to rest of the waistband of your work trousers. You motion your head a little, dragging Javi’s eyes down to where your hand is resting on the button of your trousers, making sure he’s watching when you pop it open, dragging the zip down and then leaving it like that.
His own hand trails from your right hip, warm fingers brushing the skin you’ve revealed, but he doesn’t move them further, just lets his fingers rest on the skin as he brings his lips to your jaw, kissing softly from your chin, all the way up to the delicate skin behind your ear, “Want me to touch you here?” He all but growls into your ear as his hand sinks beneath your trousers, wide palm cupping you through your underwear, bringing a gasp from your throat, “Yeah, sounds like you do baby.”
You bring your hands up to rest on his shoulders – something to grip onto as his fingers trace along the seam of your pussy through the thin cotton of your panties. His touch is gentle, but the way his mouth is pressing hot and wet to the skin across your neck is anything but. It’s searing, and exciting, and wrong but in all the right ways.
“If I dip my fingers under here,” He asks, fingers toying with the elastic of your panties, “You gonna be wet for me, querida?”
“W-why don’t you find out?” You choke out, feeling him smile against the skin of your neck as his fingers dip just below the waistband of your panties, fingers dragging over the curls on your mound, down lower, until they’re so close to where you want them.
He dips his fingers through your folds, slipping them into you so easily. Your mouth drops open, his own so close to yours that you could feel his lips on yours as you moan, his fingers dragging out of you and up to your clit, where he starts gently circling.
“What’s got you all worked up, eh?” He asks, his other hand coming to grip your chin, forcing you to look at him, your mouth dropped open as he works his fingers across your clit, “Can’t just be from me right here,” He muses, “You been sat at your desk thinking about me?”
He presses his fingers more firmly across your clit, it feels so good, the way he’s working you, “T-think about you a-all the time.” You croak out from your throat, hips starting to move with his hand, needing something more.
“Naughty little thing,” He breathes into your ear, teeth nibbling lightly at your earlobe as his fingers drag from your clit back down to where you’re so slick for him, his fingers slipping back inside you, but curling up, finding a spot inside you that no-one had even shown you existed until now, “Feel good?” He asks, “You tell me what works, okay?”
You nod, two of his fingers working in and out of you. It feels good, but it’s nothing compared to the way he made you feel before, when his fingers trailed over your clit in little circles. You grip his wrist, “Outside,” You say simple, “Like how you were doing it before.”
He presses his lips to yours, dragging his fingers back up through your folds, using his middle finger to draw light circles over your swollen bundle of nerves, “Like this?” He asks, which is punctuated with a moan from your lips. It’s loud enough this time that his free hand is flying to cover your mouth with his palm, shushing you as he presses his body against yours, pinning you in place, his own excitement no longer hidden from you. You can feel the bulge of his cock through his jeans, pressing into your side as the movement of his fingers speeds up, just a touch.
Whilst it’s a familiar feeling – it’s the way you’re used to bringing yourself off, more often than not to the thought of the very man in front of you – there’s something so different about Javi being the one to have you dangling over the edge, teetering on the edge of pleasure just with his fingers.
“Tell me, bebita,” He coos into your ear, “Has anyone else ever made you come?”
His palm is still covering your mouth, so you can’t speak, so all you do is shake your head in response, watching as his eyes darken and he sticks his bottom lip out a little in a pout, “Poor girl,” He says, his middle finger speeding up just a touch again, pressing harder, “Shall we fix that?” He asks, which has you nodding your head so ferociously that it should be embarrassing, “Go on then,” He coaxes, “I know you’re close, just let go for me.”
If someone had told you months ago, before he’d reappeared in town, that Javier Peña would be the first man to make you cum, pressed against the brick wall of your office, with his hand clamped around your mouth to stop you from crying out, you’d have told them to get lost.
Your entire body shakes as your orgasm starts to ripple through you. White hot pleasure explodes across your lower body, your fingers dig into Javi’s shoulders, fisting the material of his shirt as he finally drops his hand from your mouth, gripping at your waist to keep your upright when the shaking of your legs threatens to topple you to the ground. His fingers are moving across you more slowly, but are adding just enough pressure to work you through those aftershocks, until it becomes too much.
Your forehead hits his shoulder, your hands wrapping around the breadth of his broadness as he drags his hand from your trousers, slipping both around your back to drag you into his body, “Did so good for me, querida.” He praises, rubbing a soothing hand up and down your spine through your shirt.
“Felt good.” You manage to mumble into the material covering his shoulder, pushing yourself back up and off him, hand trailing down his chest to try and touch him, return the favour, but he’s gripping your wrist to stop you.
“Not tonight,” He says, “Just wanted to make you feel good.”
“But-” You try to protest, but his grip on your wrist is strong and you can’t move it.
“I promise I’ll let you return the favour, but not tonight, okay?”
You nod your head. Javi brings his hands to your trousers, zipping them back up and pushing the button through the buttonhole. He tugs the hem of your shirt back into place, before he presses a kiss to the tip of your nose. He glances at the watch on his wrist, clocking the time, “It’s late, querida,” He sighs, “We better get you on the road.”
And it’s a strange feeling, that this tiny little bubble is bursting so soon. You know it’s important to keep this under wraps, you’re sure no-one would be pleased to find out that Javier Peña, your dad’s friend, had been pinning you to a wall and coaxing an orgasm from you with his fingers, and there’s something about the secrecy of it all that makes it more exciting, but as you walk back to your respective vehicles, Javi so far away that you can’t reach out to touch him, it stings a little. Stings a little that you’re not going to get to be normal with him, that for now, your relationship, whatever that might be, is going to be kept secret, clandestine meetings and stolen glances wherever possible, when all you really want to do is grasp his hand in yours and shout to everyone that he belongs to you.
“We going to make this a habit?” You ask, unlocking your door and sliding into the drivers seat.
Javi keeps a hang on the top of the door, keeping it open for a while, “What?” He smirks, “Pressing you up against brick walls?”
“Pressing each other against brick walls,” You correct, “It’s your turn next time.”
He runs a ringer over his bottom lip, a habit you’ve known for years is something he does when he’s nervous or stressed, “I need you to know if I didn’t have to keep you a secret, I wouldn’t, okay?” You smile up at him, nodding your head, “I promise it won’t always have to be like this, but just for now, okay?”
“Okay,” You nod, “Now give me a kiss goodbye and let me go home.”
He does just that, leans down and gives you a kiss, one that you would class as proper this time, where he opens his mouth against yours, licks into your mouth, the coarse hair above his lip scratching lightly at your skin. He pulls away just a touch, pecking you on the lips once, then twice, then a final time, when you grip the collar of his shirt to keep him there just a little moment more.
“Go home, Javi.” You giggle when you finally let him go, “I’ll see you soon.”
He gives you a final chaste kiss to your lips then shuts your door for you, walking around your car to get in his truck. You wonder for a while if there’s going to a weird stand-off between the two of you, but he turns the key in his ignition and drives off with a final wave, leaving you to do the same.
When you pull up outside your home, you pull the mirror down, make sure nothing on your face gives away what you’d just been up to, smoothing down your hair. You take a second to take a few deep breaths, before you step out, going back to being the innocent daughter your parents still believe you to be.

Hii my name is eloise and I love ur writing so much.
But imagine the reader gets an Uber home from drinking with her friends and she stumbles into the house thinking Aaron is asleep but really he’s waiting up for her… and he’s like 🫢🤭 are you drunk ????
And then he puts her to bed cutely and makes her drink water and take her makeup off GAHHHH
aww thank you eloise - that's such a pretty name! happy to meet you <3 i fear i changed this up a bit where he knew she was out drinking but he was waiting for a call from her! i hope you still enjoy it <3
--
Opening the door quietly is of utmost importance. If you don't, you might wake Aaron, and he's on a tight sleep schedule as it is. The uber you'd called to bring you home drives slow and doesn't peel away from the curb with a screech, which you're grateful for. Now all you have to do is get the key in the front door, which proves to be more difficult than you'd anticipated in your inebriated state.
You don't get more than a few haphazard scratches of the key against the lock before the door swings into the house, and, as you'd been leaning on it while trying to open it, so do you.
"Woah!" You gush as your feet nearly fall out from under you, but a pair of strong hands push against your biceps, and you're upright again.
You notice Aaron standing in front of you, in jeans and a t-shirt. Not in pajamas, and not sleeping, either. Your hazy brain realizes a second late that he's the one holding you up, and you scramble to hug him where he stands.
"Aaron!" You gush, "You're still awake. I thought you'd be night-night."
He lets out a breath of a laugh at your phrasing, more suited for Jack than himself. He masks his amusement by pulling you through the door and shutting it behind you. It clicks into place and he locks it after, peering down the street at the faint lights of your uber driving away.
"Honey, you're home a little early," He hums, "Are you okay?"
"Yeah! I was getting woozy," You muse, hanging off of his bicep while he stares down at your slumped form, "I thought I'd call it quits and come snuggle up with you."
You shimmy your hips at the word snuggle but you're a little uncoordinated, not that Aaron is judging you for it. He smooths away your mussed hair from your forehead to press a sweet kiss there, happy when you hum at the feeling.
"Sweetheart, I was waiting for you to call me and ask for a ride," He informs you, "You know I'll come get you whenever, right? You don't have to waste money on an uber."
"What?" Your brow furrows, "You don't have to wait up for me, Aaron. That's- I didn't mean to keep you awake.'
A soft line of tears blossoms in your waterline as your lip and voice tremble in unison, "I don't want to be a bother."
"You're not a bother!" Aaron insists, smoothing his thumbs over your cheeks, "Hey, no, you wouldn't be bothering me if you asked for a ride. I stayed up because I wanted to, because I wanted to make sure you were okay."
"But you need sleep," You lament, sniffling weakly despite his soothing strokes over your cheeks, "And I would have told you to just sleep if I knew you were staying up. You could have been resting this whole time."
"I couldn't rest if you weren't next to me," He confesses, and he's glad you're a little bit drunk so that you don't tease him for how sappy it is. But it's true, and you sigh against the palm of his hand.
"Love you, Aaron." You hum, "Next time I'll call you."
"Good," He smiles softly, unable to resist leaning in once more to kiss your face. He targets your nose this time, and adores the way it scrunches in response.
"Let's get you changed," He pulls gently on your hand to guide you towards the bathroom, "And I'll take off your makeup too, honey. Then we can go night-night."

Leona couldn't remember the last time he had felt the warmth of another.
Moonlight filters through the open balcony of his room, a gentle breeze causing the curtains to sway slightly. He can feel your hands curled around his waist, his tail wrapped around your leg respectively. He stares at you, watching your chest rise and fall slowly, your soft snores seemingly filling up the room.
Silly Herbivore. He muses, brushing a stray strand of hair out of your face, tucking it behind your ear. You're so vulnerable, nestled against his chest. Wholeheartedly clinging onto him as if you were afraid he'd disappear. As he stares at you, he can't help the slight bitterness that wells up in his throat.
Why did you choose him out of everyone? Out of pity? He's never been good enough. The elders and servants back home made that quite obvious enough. He almost laughs out loud at the thought. He would never be good enough, would never be anyone's first choice, and would never put in enough effort because he was just too damn lazy.
A worthless, selfish, arrogant, too prideful for his own good, lazy, a good-for-nothing second prince who will never amount to anything.
Does he even deserve you?
Your slight movements startle him out of his thoughts as he stares down at you, blinking up at him with bleary eyes.
"Leona?" You mumble, rubbing your eyes. "Can't sleep? That's unusual," you tease him, shooting him a sleepy grin. Unwittingly, Leona feels the edges of his lips quirk up, "I was planning on it, until you started squirming around," he huffed. You study his face, a frown marring your features. Leona pokes your brow where it's creased, chuckling slightly, "Don't do that, your face will get stuck like that." You scowl at him, "I'm not a kid," you grumble, "Besides you have that look on your face and I'm worried about you."
Leona stares at you, an eyebrow raised, "Mind elaborating on what 'that look' means." You sit up so that you're face to face with him. "You know, that look! When you get all broody and emo, and all 'oh my sevens im so angsty grr'. That look." Leona wrinkles his nose at your wording, "Very funny Herbivore." You continue to stare at him, concern causes your brow to crease even more.
"Leona, what's wrong? I can tell something's up with you. I know you don't like opening up, and that's fine, but you know I'm here for you, right?" You reach over, taking his hand in yours and giving it a gentle squeeze. Leona's breath hitches in his throat for a second, he finds himself shutting his eyes for a moment. When he opens them again, he finds your gaze trained on his.
Not looking away from him, holding his gaze unwaveringly. Genuine sincerity in your eyes.
"Leona." His ears twitch at the sound of his name being called. Your voice is firm, to get his attention, but soft enough that he doesn't feel the urge to flinch away. He sighs, feeling that you wouldn't let this matter go easily.
"I know you are. If you want the truth, no I'm not fine." Leona grimaces, this feeling of opening himself up was foreign to him. "I'm far from fine. I'm just.....what did I do to deserve you?" His voice breaks a little at the last part, but he continues. "I'm worthless, selfish, arrogant, too prideful for my own good, lazy, a good-for-nothing second prince who will never amount to anything. Compared to Farena or that damned lizard Malleus, I'm nothing. I have nothing. I will never be anything more because I will always be overshadowed by people like them." He takes a second to collect his thoughts before continuing. "I've always had to work hard to earn my keep only for everything to crumble like sand. All my hard work amounting to nothing because someone just so happens to be lucky enough to just be better." His ears flatten against his head out of irritation.
You listen to his words, staying silent. You give him a moment to catch his breath before hesitantly reaching over, pressing a hand to his cheek. Leona flinches, but then leans into your touch after a brief second. "Hey...look at me," you nudge his face so that he's staring at you.
"Look, I will admit you can be selfish, hell sometimes kind of a dick. You irritate me and sometimes I want to strangle you cause you won't let me get to class on time because you won't get off me." You pause, before continuing, "But you are not worthless. And you're not a good-for-nothing second prince. I love you, faults and all. You, Leona Kingscholar, are the best damn thing that has ever happened to me okay? I would go to hell and back for your stinky ass." Leona laughs softly at your nickname for him, leaning more into your hand. "You are worthy. I didn't choose to love you because I felt pity for you, I love you because of who you are. You say that all your hard work crumbles to sand? I've seen you pick yourself back up again. You're passionate about what you're interested in, and even if you won't outwardly say it, I know you care. You're not a saint by any means, far from it. But that's what I love about you. You're flawed and imperfect, and I say that's better than some perfect curated image of who you're supposed to be." You poke his chest to emphasize your point.
"So don't you ever question why I love you okay?" Your thumb brushes over the scar over his left eye, pressing a soft kiss to his eyelid. His eyelashes tickle your face as you do so. "I love you, scars and all. And I'll say it as many times as I need to."
Leona stares at you, a mix of emotions in his gaze. He clears his throat, his tail tugging you closer to him. "Fuck...that was hot," he smirks, leaning in, his nose brushing against yours. "Seriously? I give you this long speech and thats what you have to say?" You roll your eyes playfully, smacking his shoulder lightly. Leona's laughter rumbles in his throat as a hand gently holds onto the back of your neck, pulling you in for a kiss. Despite his rough exterior, his kisses are gentle, his lips molding against yours. His other hand finds its way to your waist, holding you in place as you straddle his hips.
The two of you part for air, small gasps can be heard between you. You wrap your arms around his neck as you settle next to him, head nestled in his neck. Leona adjusts his position into a more comfortable one, his chin resting against the top of your head. The two of you lay in silence, the only audible sound being the occasional breeze that ruffles the curtains. Slowly you find yourself falling into the embrace of sleep.
"Herbivore?" You hear his voice above you. "Mhmm?" you mumble sleepily, feeling your eyes drooping.
"....I love you." You smile, hearing his words, before drifting off.
Ensuring that you're asleep, Leona leans over, kissing your forehead, watching your sleeping face. "....Thank you for being in my life.....and for not giving up on me," he whispers, before settling against you and drifting off himself.

More Dad!Lando, please! How about a colicky Fraiser, a frazzled yn and dad Lando to rh rescue?
Cw: mentions baby's colic, postpartum recovery from c-section
"It's okay, my love, you're okay, mummy is right here", you cooed as you changed Fraser's nappy, "nearly done and then you can feel better hopefully", you sighed, finishing it and rubbing the baby's tummy like you remembered the nurses teaching you how to do in the hospital.
You weren't even sure what time it was, having decided against staying in your bedroom and moving to the nursery so Lando could rest. Even though Fraser slept with you and not in the nursery, you still had all the furniture in there for once you made the transition and right now it was proving to be useful, even if it didn't have a clock anywhere in sight and the lack of sleep was catching up to you.
"I know it hurts, I'm sorry, my love, mummy's doing the best she can - good, good, let all of that wind out", you smiled a little before he started crying again, "Oh, baby, let's have a cuddle", you lowered your top, letting him feel your skin on his after you unbuttoned the top of his babygrow.
The cold bed next to Lando let him know you hadn't been in the bedroom for quite some time, making him stand up and look for you, heading to the nursery since Fraser wasn't in his cot either. The sight before him pulled on his heartstrings. First, because his wife and snuggling your baby, another little one you were blessed enough to bring to the world, and even if you didn't believe it sometimes, the way you looked mothering his children was his favourite - you were the best mummy for them. Second, however, it pulled on his heartstrings because it was noticeable how much it was taking a toll on you. You still looked beautiful - that would never be a question - but he couldn't help but notice the dropped shoulders, the way your movements were still slow and needing you to think before moving a certain way so it wouldn't hurt, and how frazzled you looked.
"Hey, you two", Lando cooed, getting your attention as you bounced the baby around, "would you like daddy's help?", he mused.
Your nod was all he needed to scoop the baby boy and settle him in your chest, rubbing his back as he seemed to nestle into his father's naked chest, "you're not a happy little guy, are you? Is your tummy giving you trouble, Fraser?", Lando cooed as the cries didn't quite settle.
"He was fussing so much and I didn't want to wake you, so we moved here", you explained the reason why you didn't stay in the bedroom as usual.
"You should've woken me up, love, but it's okay, I'm here now", Lando smiled, kissing your forehead softly, "maybe some massages will help? You can lay on mummy and daddy can rub your tummy", he suggested.
"I did them for a bit, but he looked like he needed some comforting too", you mumbled.
You sat on the big chair, shuffling the pillows to make yourself comfortable before Lando set Fraser on your torso, his head nestled over your boobs as his father undid the rest of his babygrow, his fingers starting to massage his belly and slowly working all that was bothering him out, "you like being in mummy's chest, don't you?", Lando smiled, "daddy likes it too, but you've all but stolen it from me these days - it's okay though", he attempted to break a smile on your tired features.
Soon enough, Fraser settled down, falling asleep on Lando's chest once he got him back to snuggle into it, swaying from side so side was you did the same, sandwiching you son between you per your husband's request, "no one is alone in this, darling", he said as he pulled you to hug his waist.

Part 4 - Part 6
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
You stretched with a soft sigh, your feet sliding against the cool, soft sheets. A smile spreads across your face at the feeling of William’s arm slung over your waist. Your eyes fluttered open, a thin slit of light through your heavy curtains the only indicator that it was morning. You roll over, your hand trailing over his stomach as you cuddle into his chest. He lets out a soft hum as he wakes up, “good morning beautiful.” His voice raspy and thick with sleep.
“Sorry I didn't mean to wake you up.” You whisper, placing a soft kiss to his chest.
“Why are you apologizing? I get woken up to the most beautiful sight in the world.” He tilts your chin up, his lips capturing yours in a slow, needy kiss. His hand kneads at your waist, you smile as his mustache tickles your nose.
“What's the plan for today?” He rolls into his back with a groan, pulling you on top of him in the process. You lay your chin on his chest, bright, sparkling eyes staring up at him. He smiles softly, tucking some loose hair behind your ear.
“Well,” he starts, “we need to go to the store, we’ll try to make it quick but we have nothing.” You both share a chuckle. “And then we come back here and work our butts off until dinner.”
“And see you be all sexy and strong lifting those heavy boxes again? Yes please.” You grin at him, yelping as he lightly pinches your butt.
“You always have your mind in the gutter, don't you?” He teases back. “I'm surprised you can still even consider me sexy.”
“Now what is that supposed to mean?” You reach up to gently caress his cheek, he lets out a soft sigh as he leans into your touch. “You're not allowed to be mean to my husband, I'll have to beat you up.” He chuckles at your serious expression.
“I'm an old man now, rabbit.” He responds wistfully, combing his fingers through your hair as he studies your face. “I'm definitely not the rugged, muscular little punk I used to be.” He chuckles and you can't help but breathe out a laugh in response. Remembering all the photos of a much skinnier more awkward reflection of your husband that Henry had shown you. ‘The pride and joy of our robotics team.’ he would always muse, struggling not to get emotional over the loving expression you had while looking at them. “I've got all these wrinkles now, my hair’s going gray-”
“William,” he snaps his mouth shut at the sound of your voice. Your age difference was something that had eaten at him since the two of you had first started dating. Always worried he was going to move too fast or make you feel tied down. He never could quite wrap his head around how a pretty young thing like you could stand being around a miserable old fart like him. “It wouldn't matter if you were 20 years younger and were built like some sort of Greek God.” You shuffle around under the blankets, allowing you to push yourself up enough to be face to face with him, the tip of your nose brushing his as you talk. “I wouldn't give up any of the time you and I have spent together for anything. Will, I love you. A few wrinkles and a change in your hair color isn't going to change any of that.”
“So, you don't mind that I don't have shredded abs?” He jokes, making you laugh in response. Despite the sudden loss of seriousness you could tell your words helped.
“Abs are overrated,” you shoo off the thought with your hand. “I happen to love your soft tummy.” You state matter-of-factly.
“Well I'm glad.” He pulls you in for a soft kiss. “You’re perfect, you know that?” He mumbles against your lips.
“You're one to talk.” You quip back. He smiles before pulling you back to him. You hum as you feel his arm tighten around your waist, wanting to feel every curve of your body pressed firmly to his. The way William’s lips moved against yours was slow and methodical, he always knew how to kiss you in a way that left you feeling utterly breathless and dizzy by the end of it. You rest your forehead against his when you separate. Both of you shared soft, tired smiles as you enjoyed being in each other's company. He reaches over to his nightstand with a groan, wiping his hand down his face before putting on his glasses.
“What do you say sweetheart? Ready to start the day?” You nod, both of you reluctantly leaving the warmth of your bed and each other's arms as you got ready to tackle whatever obstacles you would face.
You stood at William’s side, trying to manage your wild bed head as he brushed his teeth. “What do you want for dinner?” He asks with a mouthful of toothpaste.
“I don't know, something easy.” You wince slightly as your brush gets caught on a particularly nasty snarl. “We could always get something frozen to throw in the oven I guess.”
“Absolutely not, I won't let my wife eat that filth if I can help it.” He places a kiss on your head as he heads out of the bathroom. You chuckle, shaking your head in response. “Think about it, I'm gonna go start the car.” He disappears around the door with a wink. You groaned at his request, you hated making food decisions. You threw on some clothes, deeming your appearance good enough for the grocery store, before heading downstairs. William stood at your kitchen counter, holding an old recipe book that looked almost comically small in his massive hands.
“Whatcha got there?” He wraps an arm around your shoulder, pulling you into his side.
“I saw this in your box of memories yesterday.” He smiles down at you, lowering the book in order to make it easier for you to read it. You looked at the worn, yellowing pages with a special fondness. This was the one cookbook William owned, a collection of recipes put together by a group of little old ladies around Hurricane. One of them managed to pass it off to him at their grandson’s birthday years ago, saying how a hard working man like him deserved some good home cooked meals every now and then. You ran your fingers over your husband’s handwriting in the margins next to one recipe ‘add garlic’. On the next page there was a recipe for chocolate cake, next to it in your own neat script it read ‘Will’s favorite' punctuated with a heart.
“Is this the one that has-”
“The recipe from our first date.” You finish in unison.
“Yes it is.” He chuckles. You remembered it like it was yesterday. The whole morning went horribly before you were supposed to spend the day with Will, you were about ready to call him to reschedule. “I think we both could use some comfort food tonight, what do you think?”
“I think that sounds wonderful.” You jump slightly as he snaps the cookbook shut in front of your face, you push him playfully before the two of you head out.
Will’s hand was warm as he held your own, his thumb languidly rubbing over your knuckles as he drove. Your eyes trailed over the treeline as it whipped past your window, smiling softly to yourself as you reminisced about how something as small and silly as beef stew could hold such a powerful memory.
You tried your best to quiet your sniffling as you listened to the phone ring, your heart jumping into your throat when you heard the click of the receiver being picked up. “Hello?” You felt yourself begin to well up all over again at the sound of his voice.
“Hey William, it’s-uh, it’s me.” You hoped he would be able to recognize your voice despite it cracking. “I think I'm going to need to reschedule-”
“Honey what's wrong?” The genuine concern in his voice opened the floodgates. A sob cracked free from your throat as you tried to explain the situation. “Are you alright? Are you hurt?”
“No.” You manage to croak out.
“Can I come see you?” You froze for a moment. He wasn't mad about you canceling at the last minute, he just wanted to make sure you were okay.
“Yeah, that's fine.” You stutter.
“I'll be there in about fifteen minutes, okay?” You nod before remembering he couldn't see you. You rolled your eyes over how ridiculous you were being.
“Okay, I'll be here.” You sniffle before hanging up. You jumped as your buzzer rang, picking yourself up to the couch and slowly shuffling over to unlock the door. You undid the chain latch, meeting William in the hallway.
“Rabbit,” he starts softly. Seeing your cheeks still red and streaked with tears from another wave of crying that had hit you when he was on his way over. “Come here beautiful.” You hurried forward, melting into his embrace as he wrapped his strong arms around you. His fingers gently slide into your hair, cradling your head against his chest. You felt stupid for crying, you were supposed to be going out on this big, fancy date William had set up and now you've ruined it.
“I'm sorry.” You manage to get out after you have calmed yourself down somewhat. “You went through all the trouble of getting us that reservation-” he cuts you off, quietly shushing you as he continues to hold you, slightly rocking side to side.
“It’s okay bunny. It's not like we’re going to get banned from the restaurant for canceling our table.” He chuckles, managing to elicit a soft laugh from you as well. “But, I would like to know what's making my girl so upset.” He nods in the direction of your apartment. “Would it be alright if I came in for a minute?” You nod, his hand instantly taking yours as you separated from his embrace.
“I'm sorry about the mess, this morning definitely didn't go as planned.” He looked around the cramped space. The flowers William had sent you lay on the kitchen counter, the stems still glistening with water. A half cleaned up pile of broken glass lay on the floor next to the counter. He noticed a white dress that appeared to be covered in some type of tomato sauce laying in a heap on the dining room table. You started to explain before he even had a chance to question it. “My roommate got into a big fight with her boyfriend this morning.” William sat next to you where you had positioned yourself on the couch, elbows resting on his knees and his hands folded neatly in front of him as he listened attentively to what you had to say. “I was woken up by them yelling at each other, I heard some glass smash so I came out here to try and diffuse the situation. It turns out he had smashed the vace I had put your flowers in onto the floor.” You let out a weak chuckle as you felt a tear slip down your cheek. William reaches over, intertwining his fingers with yours in an attempt to offer some form of comfort without risking overwhelming you further. “And my-uh, my dress…” you looked over at the table, your throat growing tight at the sight. “He also ruined my dress in the process of us throwing him out. So now I have nothing to wear, and the flowers you got me are starting to wilt, and I ruined our date-”
“Woah, sweetheart, slow down. You didn't ruin anything.” He moves closer to you, wrapping an arm around your shoulders to pull you into his chest. “There’s going to be plenty of other fancy dinners. Baby, I'm not upset over you not wanting to go out after the morning you've had.” He places a kiss on the top of your head, his thumb soothingly rubbing your shoulder. “Would you like to come spend the day at my place?” He asks in an almost timid manner. You look up at him, eyes still wet with tears. It made his chest tighten, you looked so small against his much larger form.
“I'd like that.” You smile.
“You go get ready, I'll clean up in here.” He offers with a small nod.
“Oh, I can't ask you to do that.” Your breath catches in your throat as he gently tilts your chin up with his fingers.
“Don't worry about it bunny.” He tucks some hair behind your ear. He nods for you to go get ready. You scurry off to your room, William cleaning up the glass on the floor. He searched through your cupboards, finding a suitable enough vessel to hold the flowers you seemed to love. He smiles at how adorable you were, getting upset over something so simple, it was sweet. His attention turned to the dress on the table, making an irritated sound as he picked it up. It wasn't a guarantee he would be able to get the sauce out, but hand washing it in the sink couldn't hurt. He thought about how pretty you would've looked all dressed up. Though somehow he thinks your new plan would end up being more fun.
You hurriedly looked through your closet for something to wear, not wanting to appear like you were trying too hard to impress him. You decided on a cute pair of jeans and your favorite T-shirt. You passed back out into the kitchen, smiling as you saw the large man hunched over your sink, trying to get the stain out of your dress. “Will?” He paused, a smile creeping across his features. This was the first time you had called him Will.
“I got it mostly out, we can throw it in the wash at my place if you want.” You nod, smiling at him adoringly.
“I wouldn't want to trouble you.” You start.
“It's no problem.” He rushes to reassure you. He slowly steps closer to you, almost as if he was worried he was going to scare you off. “You, uh, look like you’re going to cry again.”
“You’re just really nice, that’s all.” You crack out a laugh, William chuckling alongside you.
“Well, I’d like to be able to take care of my girl when she needs me.” He winks, making your cheeks flush. He holds out his arm for you to take, you smile softly as he pulls you into his side.
William opened the door, letting you step inside before him. You neatly tucked your shoes beside the door before padding across the soft gray carpet. Looking around you would definitely define William as a minimalist. You didn’t see any pictures or trinkets, everything was very neat and orderly. “Make yourself comfortable, I’m going to go start something for dinner.” You ended up trailing after him into the kitchen, wanting to spend as much time with him as you could. He unzips his hoodie, tossing it at you with a flirtatious smile. “You look cold.” You slip your arms into the too long sleeves, blushing slightly as you wrap yourself up in the warm fabric. William’s sweatshirt smelled like machine oil, cheap cigarettes, and musky, warm cologne. He pulled out a large wooden cutting board from one of the drawers, brandishing a pristinely sharp knife not long after. He hums softly to himself as he wanders around his kitchen, pulling ingredients from cupboards and setting them all out in a row on the counter top. He pulls out a large stew pot from a small closet, setting it on the stove as he sets in motion preparing the meal he had decided on.
“Do you want any help?” You offer with a smile.
“You just sit back and relax, bunny. Throwing this together shouldn’t take me too long.” The two of you chatted idly as he cooked. You had always enjoyed William’s dry humor, but this was the first time you had seen his full genuine personality outside of Freddy’s.
“You’re a gossip!” You exclaim your accusation through a fit of laughter. He gives you an offended look, his hand clapping against his chest.
“Me? I have no idea what you’re talking about.” You couldn’t miss the smirk that passed across his lips as he turned his attention back to the cutting board. “You’re acting like I don’t know about your and Ashley’s little gossip sessions at the prize counter.” He rebuttals in a teasing tone. He straightens up, striding over to you. He puts a hand on either side of your thighs, caging you on the counter, “I bet you talk about me, don’t you?” He gives you a wink and a lopsided smile. Your cheeks immediately heated up as you thought about how much his name actually came up between the two of you. He chuckles, pressing a kiss to your forehead before moving away. He glances up at you as he slides a cutting board of carrots into the large pot at his side. “I’m glad you’re finally starting to relax.” He remarks happily.
“You promise you’re not mad about having to cancel the reservation?” You ask nervously, balling up the sleeves of his sweatshirt in your hands.
“I’m happy just spending time with you.” A small smile creeps across your lips at the sincerity in his voice. “You had a bad morning, I wouldn’t want to go out either.” He reaches out for your hand, you accept his request with a flustered grin. “Plan’s can change, okay? I won’t be upset.” He tries his best to reassure you.
It was a rainy day outside, the stew was left to cook on the stove. Will held your hand loosely in his, giving it a gentle squeeze whenever he reached a point of interest when he was talking about one of his newest projects. He leads you into his workshop, keeping you close to him as he guides you around various piles of mechanical parts. His hands find their way to your waist, easily lifting you from the floor to set you on a clear space of workbench. He bumps a button with his elbow, the garage opening to let in some of the warm, damp air from outside. “Mr. Emily was right about you being a workaholic.” You tease.
“It’s not my fault there's always work to be done.” He bites the tip of his tongue as he concentrates on what he had pulled in front of him, you noticed the glint of something silver catching on his front teeth.
“Will… is that a piercing?” You ask with genuine curiosity. His eyes widened slightly for a second before he cursed under his breath.
“I forgot I had that in.” He admits bashfully. “I got it in college, I just got so used to wearing it I never let it close.” You hop down from your position perched on the workbench, placing yourself directly in front of him.
“Show me.” You nod up at him. He raises an eyebrow and smirks slightly at your demanding town. He stoops lower, bringing himself face to face with you.
“I don’t know,” he purrs, “you didn’t ask very nicely.” You swallow thickly at his gravelly tone.
“Show me, please?” You try again. He chuckles at your flustered appearance before sticking out his long tongue, showing off the silver barbell. “Wow.” You found yourself nearly drooling at the sight of it, something about the small piercing made your heart race in your chest. There was no doubt in anyone's mind that William was a very attractive man, with his sharp features and broad, strong body he's drawn the attention of many wandering eyes. But, this new found detail about him only seemed to highlight the tough yet playful attitude you had grown enamored by.
“Maybe if you're good I'll show you how talented I am at putting it to good use.” He winks with a smirk. “Come on, this stuff can wait.” He places a kiss to the top of your head, wrapping an arm around your waist as you're escorted back inside of the house. It hadn't occurred to you just how much of Will’s day you had disrupted up until now. He was supposed to come pick you up at six o'clock sharp, glancing at a clock that ticked quietly on the wall you had realized it wasn’t even eleven.
“Will, I don't want to get in your way if you're busy.” You speak up, both of you pausing in unison.
“Bunny, let me tell you something.” He fully turns to face you, his hands resting comfortably on your waist. His dark silver eyes held a particular softness as they scanned over your features, his hands sliding around your back to pull you closer to him. He speaks in a low tone, giving the conversation a new found sense of intimacy. “I'm in no rush to get that work done, and if I'm being entirely honest if you left right now I wouldn't be able to get the image of how cute you look in my sweatshirt out of my head all day.” He breathes out a laugh. “I know you're worried about being a disruption but honey I promise you you're not. I want to spend time with you, I want to be there to make you feel better. If that means pushing off a couple projects to cook a homemade meal and to spend the day with you… we'll, I don't know about you but that sounds pretty alright to me.” He smiles softly at you, giving you time to allow his words to sink in.
You couldn't get over just how different he was than anyone you had been with in the past. There was no yelling because of the wasted effort, no being left alone to wallow in how awful you felt about messing everything up. Right now there was only you and William; how warm his large hands felt as he soothingly rubs his thumbs over your waist, how the smell of dinner cooking in the kitchen drifted through the hall, how he looked at you with so much kindness and understanding, and that was plenty. You pushed into him, burying your face against his chest as you welled up with emotion. William held you tightly against him, determined to brush away any negative thoughts that tried to creep their way in from the back of your mind. He had a pretty good idea of the guys you had experienced before him, the shithead he had met before he confessed to you said enough. You were used to being pushed around and treated like you were never enough, leaving you to feel like you were always taking up too much space and anything that went wrong immediately fell into your lap. William hoped that, given enough time, he would be able to help you remedy that way of thinking. “How about we throw on a movie? It's Saturday, there's bound to be something on.” He offers in a patient tone.
“I'd like that.” You sniffle in response. You slip your hand into his, allowing him to guide you to the living room. He pulled you into his side as he clicks on the TV, absentmindedly flicking through the station past re-runs of whatever shitty sitcom happened to be on and action movies that would definitely ruin the quiet intimacy the two of you had fallen into. He paused on a romantic comedy, looking down to gauge your reaction. You adjusted yourself in order to be more comfortable, your arm resting across Will’s stomach as your head fell against his shoulder. He was praying you wouldn't ask him anything about the movie he had thrown on, he wouldn't have been able to focus on it right now if he tried. Your small form was so warm against his side, the sweet scent of your shampoo was nearly intoxicating as he waited for you to get comfortable. He pulls the blanket off of the back of the couch, laying it over both of your laps.
“Will?” You call for him softly.
“Yes, rabbit?” His eyes drift down to you and the sight alone was enough to nearly break him. You looked so incredibly tiny curled up against him, your big doe eyes holding so much adoration as you gazed up at him. William froze, feeling as if he even breathed in this moment it would be over.
“Thank you for taking care of me today.” His heart nearly jumped out of his chest at the sight of your sweet smile. You slowly and carefully pushed yourself upwards, your lips pressing against his scruffy cheek.
“Of course, bunny.” He smiles, eyes dropping to your lips for a brief moment before he shook the thought from his mind. Today was about making sure you were alright, kissing you should be the furthest thing from his mind right now. Unfortunately for him, it was all he was able to think about since the two of you had started seeing each other. He hadn't kissed you since the night of his confession, worried that he would take things too quickly without realizing it. He jumped slightly as the timer on the stove started to beep. “I'll be right back.” He places a kiss to your forehead before getting up. Once he enters the kitchen, out of your line of sight, he drags a hand down his face with a soft groan. “Get a hold of yourself.” He chastises himself quietly.
You remained curled up on the sofa, smiling to yourself as you ran your fingers over the soft material of the blanket William had draped over your legs. You glanced back at the kitchen before turning back to the TV with a soft sigh. There was something about being with William that was so undeniably effortless; the way he pulled you into his arms, your body molding to his like you were always made to be pressed against one another, the softness in his voice that was reserved just for you, how the smell of his cologne calmed your ever racing mind. Your fingers drifted to your bottom lip, breathing out a laugh as you thought about your first kiss. It felt like a lifetime since then, your mind often wandering to the memory, leaving your heart racing and your cheeks flushed. You knew William wanted to take things slow, he was very concerned about you feeling pressured to do things you weren't comfortable with just because he was older. Even though you constantly reassured him that wasn't the case he still seemed to treat you as if you were made of glass. You heard the soft clinking of him grabbing soup mugs from a cabinet, your feet thudding softly against the hardwood floor as you stood from the couch. You sucked in a deep breath as you nervously made your way towards the kitchen, thumb running over the worn fabric of your boyfriend’s sweatshirt. William stood at the stove, humming softly to himself as he added the finishing touches on the dinner he prepared. You swallowed thickly as you watched his muscles shift underneath his fitted black T-shirt. “Will?” You continued to walk forward as you called his name, knowing if you stopped now you would lose your nerve. He turns to face you, his silver eyes catching yours. His arms opened to greet you the moment he realized how close you already were, your hands slid over his shoulders as his landed on your waist. You pushed yourself up on your toes, guiding his lips down to meet yours. He lets out a surprised yet pleased sound, melting into you as he kisses you back. You both pulled back, breathless and wide eyed. He swore every time he looked at you he found something new to fall in love with. The blush that dominated your cheeks from doing something so bold, how small you looked wrapped up in his sweatshirt, he hoped he would be able to keep the memory of you looking like this forever.
“Will?” He’s jolted back to the present by you nudging his shoulder. “Everything alright, baby? You spaced out.” He looked down at you now by his side. Your soft smile and twinkling eyes are still as captivating as they always have been.
“Yeah bunny, I'm alright. Just thinking about our first date.” He smiles. The two of you stood in your kitchen preparing the ingredients for the stew, the sound of you singing along to the radio a learned comfort to William’s ears. He still couldn't wrap his head around why you chose him of all people, his gruff and dry demeanor was a sharp contrast to your bubbly personality. Yet, despite how difficult he knew he could be sometimes, your love for one another never waivered. It took him a long time to be able to provide for you the way he felt you deserved, lots of late nights at the pizzeria and sacrifice were needed to get to where the two of you are now. But, through every rough patch, every struggle that would have seemed insurmountable on his own, it only solidified one thing.
You loved each other.

Bucky Barnes hadn't expected to find solace in art when he was younger. It seemed more like a path that his best friend Steve would take, though both of them appreciated expressing themselves creatively. Life also taught him that his road came with unexpected bumps and turns. Trading guns for brushes and pencils after he left the army, art helped him process some of his emotions he long kept at bay. It showed him how to look at life from a different perspective. In some ways, it saved him.
Like you did.
"Mmm."
The moan you let out drew Bucky's gaze up from his sketchpad, smiling softly as you stretched your legs out under the sheets. As tempted as he was to rouse you with his tongue, he decided to let you sleep since he already woke you once in the middle of the night. It wouldn't be the first time he sketched you while you slept.
The pad in his hand was already filled with drawings of you, but one more wouldn't hurt. Over the hours and days spent with you, he studied and learned your body well. He had other sketches and paintings of you in various angles and lightning. Those would never be sold.
Some art that existed was for the artist alone.
The pencil began to move across the paper once more when you didn't stir. If you woke up and caught him drawing you again, you'd shake your head and tell him he had more than enough. He disagreed.
There was beauty in his surroundings, but they paled in comparison to you.
"Bucky," you whispered, sending a shiver of excitement down his spine. Like the color red, you speaking his name invoked deep, intense passion within him. He saw hues in brighter shades thanks to you. "Come back to bed."
"I'm almost finished," he promised.
"You drawing me again?" you mumbled, bringing your hand up to cover your yawn as he kept sketching. "You have enough and I'm a mess."
"Maybe. Maybe not," he teased with a tender smile when your eyes opened halfway. "And you're not a mess. You're beautiful."
And it’ll never be enough.
"Careful, James," you teased back, arching your back as you stretched. "Keep smiling and sweet talking and they'll take away your brooder card."
"We can't have that," he winked.
When Bucky decided to pursue art outside of a hobby, he hadn't meant to become a brooding recluse on purpose. He simply preferred solitude while he worked and he valued his privacy. While he was encouraged to promote his work on social media to help build more clientele, he never showed his face. He let his art speak for itself. It worked.
It was how he came to meet you.
Before he met you in person, you were his favorite customer. You bought multiple pieces and left the kindest comments on his page. He often went back to reread them when he got lost in his own head.
"While there are many beautiful pieces of art in the world, Bucky Barnes gives us work that defines, and defies, beauty. His art can move you to tears or give you hope of brighter days ahead. We're privileged that he chooses to share his vision with us and one can only hope to see the world as he sees it."
He may have moved you with his visuals, but you moved him with your words.
"I have to meet her," he told Steve when you commissioned a custom piece.
Steve couldn't believe it since Bucky hardly ever let anyone into his studio. He said it was the least he could do for someone who consistently showed him support. He wouldn't admit at the time how nervous he was to meet you. Or why he felt so compelled to see the person behind the name since he refused to look for you on social media.
He realized that day it was destiny to meet you.
The artist and the muse.
"Back to bed," you ordered, moving the sheets back as he set his pencil and pad down. He used the opportunity to gaze along your naked frame bathed in the soft light, lingering between your thighs. "Please, Bucky?
"Who am I to deny my muse?" he smirked, slowly standing from his stool to stretch. His sweatpants hung low on his hips and he had thrown his dark hair up in a bun to keep it out of his eyes. "Especially when you look at me like that."
I'm littered with scars and you gaze at me like I have no imperfections.
"Have you seen you? You're gorgeous," you said, patting the mattress for him to sit.
“Not as gorgeous as you.”
“Take the compliment, brooder,” you said with a sleepy grin.
When he took a seat with a chuckle, you stopped him before he could lay over you. Instead, you took his right hand and had him stay in place as began to gently massage it. You commented more than once about how long and thick his fingers were and how warm to the touch they were against your skin. Working at his hand in tiny circles, you carefully rubbed out any tension you sensed. While you focused on the task at hand, he took another minute to gaze at you in wonder.
My beautiful muse.
"There," you said, kissing his palm once you finished.
"Thank you," he said, resting the same hand over your heart.
He watched and felt your chest rise as you inhaled. The steady beat grounded him. He was lucky enough for you to let him paint you with his love.
Inside and out.
"Do you ever regret it?" he asked as he traced a small heart on your chest.
Your forehead scrunched as you looked at him. "Regret what?"
"Choosing me," he whispered.
You had a chance to live a life of luxury and you walked away from it for me. Do you regret following your heart when you could've had so much more with him?
You exhaled as you pushed yourself up to face him and placed your hands on both cheeks, making sure he was looking into your eyes. "I will never regret choosing you or being yours," you whispered back.
Bucky's eyes softened as he smoothed his left hand down your back and dropped a kiss to your mouth. He lost himself in the feel of your lips and tongue, an exchange of desire he only got to experience with you. He didn't live a life of glamor, but he would forever give you a life of love.
"Now use me as your canvas," you said as the kiss ended.
Like Bucky said, who was he to deny his muse?
