DP x DC: More stuff to know about Constantine
Just some facts about John Constantine that I don’t see come up in this crossover that I think people could have a lot of fun with. He’s more than just useful for consulting, though he does see himself as a detective, just one specialized in supernatural cases.
-Canonically bisexual: that’s right, canonically bisexual, and a lot of his exes have tried to kill him
-Has demon blood in his veins: this is a fun one because demon blood has ceraint properties in the Hellblazer universe. Chiefly, accelerated healing. John is shown to recover from non-fatal wounds relatively quickly. It’s even been used as a defense mechanism against the King of Vampires. It is also shown to slow down the aging process. John is actually a lot older than he looks
-Ages in real time: Okay, don’t know how this could be used in a fic but it’s fun. He has aged in real time since his first appearance and last mention of his age put him at 60. Currently he’d be turning 70 this year, so that demon blood really keeps him spry
-synchronicity wave traveling: this is his instinctual ability to manipulate coincidences. Aka, he manipulates luck. This means he can’t lose at gambling unless he wants to, and as long as he’s using this ability, he’s pretty much invincible for the duration, because he manages to avoid getting hit by bullets, and spells, as well as jinxing the people trying to hurt him. He’s not only a lucky bastard, but a magically lucky bastard. This ability even worked on the first of the fallen, aka Satan. It is OP while he’s using it.
-The Laughing Magician: He has the title of the laughing magician. There have been multiple over the ages but John is the current one. They are known for their tendency for rebuking and outsmarting Gods, Demons, Spirits and just about everything else. Some even managed to destroy or use Gods for their own purposes. Soley members of Constatine’s bloodline can achieve this title and it’s what gives him the ability to use the synchronicity wave. It also gives him resistance to literal omniscience, aka beings that know everything don’t know what he’s going to do. An argument could be made that this would work to some extent on clockwork. He is literally one of the most powerful mages in the world.
-Possession resistance: He’s resistant to many psychic attacks such as telepathy, soul and body possession, and powerful mind controls. This one has some pretty obvious uses in this crossover.
So, yeah.  Constantine has more going on than just consulting about things. He’s extremely powerful, extremely lucky, though that luck doesn’t extend to other around him, a bit of a weirdness magnet that can surprise beings that know everything. He has access to a bunch of magical artifacts, and is exactly the kind of guy who can and would come out winning against the Ghost King. Not even against Danny, he could do it against Paria Dark.
So yeah, have fun with this information

Ok it’s been too long since I’ve spoken about BG3 headcanons. Instead of talking about my Tavs though I’m gonna talk about the companions!
POTENTIAL SPOILERS BELOW!
No Minthara because I have yet to recruit her in one of my games, sorry!!! I love her I just haven’t had the ability to play with her and all that.
Halsin
Halsin does not have sculpted abs. He’s got a stomach. I mean come on he’s literally a bear.
He loves talking about the ecology of the various environments you visit. He knows so much about so many plants and animals and fungi.
If you ask him to, Halsin will braid your hair for you. Social grooming is very important to him.
He loves to play with scratch and the owl bear cub in wild shape. He takes the shape of a wolf most often so he’s not too big.
Halsin keeps a nature journal! It’s like his own private version of inaturalist. He tracks the species he sees and where he sees them.
Gale
Gale is skinny and a bit toned during the start of the game, but as he is encouraged to take better care of himself he puts on some weight.
He is constantly asking Halsin about various creatures and Druidic magic. The man’s a nerd, he’s got so many questions and Halsin is kind and patient enough to actually enjoy answering them. They’re great academic buddies. When Gale becomes a professor he invites Halsin to give lectures on ecology and Druidic magic.
Gale has created spells that allow him to make a magic kitchen while on the road. This way he can use more than a campfire to cook.
He loves to stargaze and will point out his favorite constellations if you ask to join him.
Astarion
While he’s good at mending and sewing, Astarion enjoys making perfume far more. He eventually develops perfumes based on each of the traveling companions.
Astarion teaches the entire camp how to wash blood out of clothing and gear because someone has to. Also he refuses to do everyone’s laundry for them.
He often goes with Halsin to forage for herbs and flowers. It’s a chance to stock up on supplies for his perfumes and also to manipulate bond with the Druid.
Him and Shadowheart often discuss poisons together. They have a secret game early in the adventure where they say how they would poison each member of the group, what poison they would use, and why. When both of them start to feel accepted and cared for they switch to talking about what poisons best represent the group members instead.
Shadowheart
She spends a lot of time at camp by herself, even after rejecting Shar. She values alone time. It also allows her a chance to process what has happened to her and what she has lost.
Scratch sleeps with her most nights after he joins the camp. At first she’s annoyed by it(a ‘pet’ distracts from her mission) but it’s not very long before she’s cuddling with him.
Shadowheart collects trinkets after converting. She wants to surround herself with things she enjoys.
Lae’zel
Since she travels with a grindstone, Lae’zel helps everyone maintain their weapons. Not out of kindness at first, but because her allies being weak and having subpar gear makes her weak. Eventually tho she teaches everyone how to do it themselves to help them be stronger(and because helping people care for their weapons is a friendly gesture).
She develops a special bond with Gale and Shadowheart, as all three were manipulated/used/abandoned by their deities. She doesn’t exactly know how to support the others as the process things, but she is Faerun’s greatest hype man and constantly reminds them that the gods were cruel and foolish for what they did.
Lae’zel and Halsin help each other maintain their braids. Hers are more intricate and decorated but Halsin is more than able to put them in properly.
Wyll
Wyll spends a lot of time with Karlach after he refuses to kill her. At first because he wants to apologize for hunting her and prove he can be trusted, then after the transformation for advice on how to live life with horns, and finally because he just loves to spend time with her.
While he wasn’t exactly “shy” before his transformation, Wyll starts bathing last because his own body has become unfamiliar and he no longer feels comfortable being seen without at least a shirt and some pants on.
When the others realize that he’s struggling with his body more than he lets on they do their best to help in their own ways. Karlach teaches him how to care for his horns properly, Halsin helps him learn how to braid his hair around them, Astarion finds clothing that is not only comfortable and modest but also makes him look really good, Lae’zel helps him adjust to the change in his center of gravity by sparring with him, and Gale tracks down books about teifling/fiend anatomy for him to read.
He’s really good with children. When Arabella and then Yenna join the camp he spends his evenings keeping them company, telling them stories, playing with them, etc. Karlach often joins him.
Karlach
She makes use of her unnatural heat to help with as many things around camp as she can. Drying clothes, cooking, heating water for bathing, being cozy when it’s especially cold, etc. because if she can do good things with the engine it feels less like a curse.
Once she can touch people safely, she spends almost an entire evening just cuddling with as many people as possible. It starts with just Scratch and the owl bear cub. Then Halsin joins. Then she goes to find the others for hugs. Astarion jokes about how the two of them could probably reach normal temperatures if they just hugged for long enough.
She and Lae’zel bond quickly through their sparring. The two joke back and forth in their own ways and it confuses the other companions at first, because basically no one else has had a chance to learn Lae’zel’s sense of humor.
Karlach collects the various teddy bears and plush toys they encounter on the journey. Having nice, soft, cuddly things to curl up with makes her feel safe.
Jaheira
She knows how to get you fucked up beyond your wildest dreams. Smoking with her is an ORDEAL.
Jaheria speaks to the younger party members like they’re her kids. This doesn’t become clear until they visit her home, however, at which point said companions have various reactions(Karlach loves it, Lae’zel does not).
Minsc
Minsc quickly joins the sparring sessions. He also starts wrestling matches.
He can often be found having seemingly one sided conversations in camp, apparently talking to boo. The topics of these chats are vast and varied. Gale once heard him discussing the various meanings of different flowers in bouquets according to flower language.

Call me stupid but how does Wan Ji's "Demon" ability work exactly? Can she then turn into a full-blooded Huli-Jing when it comes to physical appearance? (Like in her first concepts) And if so, does that mean that all of her family started off with the form of a human and only were able to transform AFTER unlocking all their tails at once? The oncept of that ability is honestly turning my brain into mush without any explanation
Also why does her family constantly hide their tails? I feel like they'd want to show them off since they think of themselves as such mighty creatures
Don't think too hard about it, but essentially, some of her tails provide new powers, while others are more like "upgrades" to existing powers I'll bring up the page where her powers are shown to explain.
Tumblr media
When Wan Ji first activated her abilities she got Fox-Sense, which means she got her first tail, her ears, and the ability to see, hear and smell like a fox. It also allowed her the ability to manipulate her appearance in an instant. Additionally she became more demon than she initially was, which has its own perks, but not something unique to Huli Jing so we'll go over that in a different post. I'd like to say that you can classify her abilities into three sections: - Transformation - Transforming her body to adapt to the situation or environment - Element - manipulating energy - Mind - Manipulating or fooling the perception of others Most of her abilities are transformation based, but she does have a few in the other two (Two each in fact) Also worth noting that these are vague ideas of what each ability holds, and not every Huli Jing gets these exact abilities. One may swap Cloak for being incorporeal, or switch element to some kind of seduction-based magic or turning into mist for example. Wan Ji's father can't perform illusory magic to inflict madness, but he can hide objects in false space. It often depends on the personality of the wielder what powers exactly they can get. (which I did in order to explain why there are so many different stories of Huli Jing and their abilities/alignment/etc.) The demon form is essentially an upgrade to her first tail. It's something I didn't get to touch on, but the form she takes is actually an inbetween, and its not normal. Most Huli Jing turn into their demon form right off the bat, it kinda comes with the territory. For those that have the normal power gain, will often get many powers all at once, which is why her having only the one tail at first, and only the most basic building blocks of her abilities is something she sees as defective. For Wan Ji, the demon form is a unique ability, while for others, that tail would only serve to boost powers they already have. I hope that makes any sense at all but, long story short, upgrades people, upgrades!!!!

Family:
Father: Ben Copper
He has a love-hate relationship with his father for he is always away most of his childhood due to working abroad. Ben kept it a secret that his work is related to magic making Hiwaga not learn that wizarding world exist until his magic awakened. One of the reason Hiwaga has bad first impression of magic
Mother: ???
Some Muggle lady. He loves his mother so much that he despises others prying about the details of her mother. He is scared of the idea of what would the evil witch/wizard would do to her once they know her. Did I mention Hiwaga overthinks too much?
Little Brother: Lua Copper
Hiwaga also keeps it a secret that he has a little Brother. He doesn't have any magic and is a muggle. Lua was a toddler when Hiwaga enrolled in Hogwarts. But some of his friends knew when they visited to his house. He has no control on this one because it was his mother who invited them and yet the friends still don't know the name of Hiwaga's mother lol.
Companions:
Not sure to use the term "friends" because Hiwaga is just using them... at first
Cassandra
It was Cassandra who Hiwaga first met at hogwarts instead of Ivy. At first he even become one of Cassandra's sorta henchman with the Frey twins. Hiwaga seems like a pushover where Cassandra keeps ordering him around but Hiwaga is actually the one using her as a shield when something bad happens and to make him look weak and harmless by others, which is a success. Though they bond with their interest in plants.
Frey twins
The Frey twins dislike Hiwaga being one that Cassandra trust because they thought of him as weak, coward and probably useless. Thanks to this, Hiwaga find them easy to control to create chaos and the twins are easy to blame for it. But he keeps in good terms with them for this
Ivy and Daniel
Hiwaga started with the group of Cassandra and after he helped on finding ivy, he started to hang out with Ivy and Daniel and become his "friends". Hiwaga is interested of the two's secret and wanted to get involved with it. Also he felt that he can use the two for potions and charms and perhaps in searching of their secrets, he will discover something related to his secret as well. The longer Hiwaga spends more time with them, his negative perspective of witch and wizards changes.
Robin and Kevin
Hiwaga finds it fun and interesting of the two's relationship. Despite Hiwaga disliking the idea of romance on himself, he is very invested to the slow progress of the romance of the two and sometimes, he secretly creates a scenario for the two to have a progress on their relationship.
Amber Khanna and Duncan Snyde ( My HPMA OC )
persistent people who thinks knows Hiwaga's secret and they probably could help him. But Hiwaga doesnt trust them at first and is being stubborn by letting them clean up his evil doings.
Others
💥Troublemaker Buddies : Thomas (@tojiriki ), Rowan Lee (@raccoon-lair ) 🤔Friends with Suspiciousness: Ryan Winger (@mina1007 ), Carlyn Jade Khanna (@krinkitori ) 🧑‍🤝‍🧑Probably half sibling : Rowan Cahill (@redhairedgryffindor ) 🫂Can't-afford-to-get-them-involved-in- his- trouble Friends: Nadia Winger(probably theres more) ( @mina1007 ), Lucy Davis (@/chessy.ev), Brian Haywood ( @catohphm ), Asha Khanna (@krinkitori ), Simona Aaron ( @/hohoyayaeiei)
<< Hiwaga is still open to form new relationship with other OCs, it can be good😇 or evil 😈>>
More info/ Background (?)
His magic awakened experience went horrible that leads to cursing himself and his mother. As a kid who doesnt know magic at first, he blames himself so much that after he learns about magic from his dad, he become scared of it. But he turn his scared to hatred of magic when he enrolled in hogwarts.
His magic most of the time is destructive that sometimes hurt others unintentionally in a way he doesn't like and he find it difficult to control it except if his intention is to hurt them.
He dislike witch and wizards for they can use magic that benefited them and yet hide it from the muggles. He finds it selfish and doesn't trust them
He didn't plan to enroll at hogwarts at first, but he started seeing vision of the past. A memory that seems to not exist but can help him to stop the curse he put to himself and to his mother.
His dislike of wizarding world makes him find joy to see it in chaos.
Though in time with spending more with other witches and wizards, he will change his perspective and sees his evil act should be minimized so it won't affect to people he slowly cares about.
When he cursed himself, some of his hair turned into blue. To avoid remembering it, he dyed his hair red and wore a glasses.
He always got candies in his pockets
He likes helping or assisting others. It is his way to observe people or to gather information
Hiwaga's love for dancing is influenced when he saw his parents dancing in their living room when he was young
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~🦋~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This will still be updated soon but for now thats all for him
Guess who's got more au lore for Baker-wally!! (I worked hard on this with some friends and mutuals in the Discord server)
Tw: Disturbing themes, cannibalism, implied abuse, violence, demonic-ritual stuff, overall Just... Huge trigger warning! This is a bit dark!
The overall lore, so far:
Wally was unstable from childhood, grew up in a violent home, baking was always a coping mechanism for wally... Whenever wally was sad or angry, he would bake. This always kept wally calm... And happy. Wally found from early childhood that sugar improved his mood immensely... By large amounts. (this lead to later-on sugar pills, to keep himself happy and.. mostly stable)
One day during his childhood, a close friend of wally's passed away. Wally (being completely off his rocker already) ended up eating their corpse in a desperate and crazed attempt to stay close to them... and never forget them. But upon doing that he got a sudden addiction to it, to the taste of the flesh... and began going out late at night to kill innocent folks and would frequently draw little pictures in the victim's blood.
However one evening upon doing this... He accidentally drew some kind of demonic entity symbol (A swirl to be specific 🌀) which summed... Well... And entity. (because it was drawn in blood) which lead wally into the knowledge of the paranormal, etc etc.
Realizing all of this... He tried to convince the entity he'd accidentally summoned, to bring his friend back. But the entity couldn't do so... because wally had eaten and harmed the corpse... Meaning they couldn't be brought back, because they had no physical body to be brought back TO anymore.
Wally was discouraged by this, but the entity decided to give wally an offer... The entity took a quick liking to wally.
So the entity proposed a deal... Keep making sacrifices to them, and the entity would assist wally... Giving wally SOME of their mind and time manipulation abilities to use however he wished. The only downside, is that this mind manipulation could only go so far... And could only erase others memories for so long. (There was a time-limit on how long the memories would stay erased, in a sense.)
Wally of course took the deal without hesitation... Using it to his advantage to get more sacrifices, to keep the power the entity has granted him alive. But there was another issue, the entity only needed the blood-symbols and the life of said victim... They had no use for the victim's body. (And wally could only eat so many victims at a time on his own.)
And so, Wally began struggling to hide the corpses and the police were catching on... As the downside was previously mentioned that wally could only erase people's memories for a certain amount of time, before the memories would be returned. (The Time manipulation didn't help, because The memories were still intact after time ran out for the erased memories. It just made people slightly confused on why the day seemingly reset.)
So wally moved out of town quickly for a fresh start, packed his things and left without a trace... Left his family behind... Left everything behind. Eventually finding himself in a cute neighborhood. Wally quickly made friends with some nice neighbors... Barnaby, Julie, howdy, Eddie, frank, Sally, and poppy.
Unable to keep his cannibalistic murdering urges at bay... Trying to bake to Distract himself from those intrusive thoughts... He realized he could simply get rid of the corpses by baking them into the treats he makes. Not only that... But he could embed his new-found power into his treats by infecting it, in a sense.
So wally worked some magic when greeting his new neighbors formally, offering them cupcakes... That he infected himself using certain sprinkles (doused in the entity's power he'd been given) that would allow complete control over those neighbors minds, COMPLETE control. (the same sprinkles that are stuck in wally's hair, a hidden sign of wally's control over the neighborhood) This created a loophole of sorts when it came to wally's power limitations... The time limit didn't matter anymore, BECAUSE wally's power was now attached INTO their bodies and systems, attaching onto their brains, growing like fungus... Wally had complete manipulation over their minds now and practically the entire neighborhood, no time limit to worry about. This would make things much easier... He could create the PERFECT neighborhood! Killing off neighbors he didn't like, baking them into teats to serve, and his neighbors would be none the wiser! And if he was ever caught... He'd simply erase their minds, and reset the day!
There was one issue though... Poppy didn't take his cupcake offer upon first meeting. This is a huge issue for wally... Because now she's the only one, besides wally, who remembers things the others don't... And is aware of the day-resets. And she has a strong feeling it all has to do with wally. (which she's absolutely correct, but has no proof)
When poppy tries bringing this up to the other neighbors, they have no idea what she's talking about. (like I said... Their minds get erased by wally if he's ever caught.) Poppy knows something isn't right... and wally is aware poppy knows, as she never took his cupcake offer. She's as aware as wally is of the neighborhood resets.
Wally finds this a bit fun though... And strives to make poppy feel as if she's going crazy. He doesn't bother using his short-term mind eraser on her... He finds toying with her is far more amusing.
Now where does home (wally's bakery) come in with all this?
Home was built from the ground up by wally, and brought to life through sacrifices wally made to the entity. In short... Home basically owes wally their life. Wally is the reason home is alive and conscious... Which is a reason why home never goes against wally's word. (other than the fact wally also protects home to an extreme extent.)
In A VERY short sense: Wally's gained complete control over the neighborhood, and all the neighbors expect poppy, through the help and collaboration between him and an entity who'd taken a liking to wally after an accidental summoning.
(This is all over-explained and word vomit, so I apologize for that! If there's anything problematic about this story, I will go back and fix it! <3 I tried to make the lore as close to the overall theme as possible! This may be edited in the future!)
Blightknight Amity
The younger scion of House Blight, Amity is a prodigy in the arcane art of Abomination Magic, rivaling the likes of Hunters and Students of the Blood Coven.
Her talents and skills put to service under the illustrious sigil of her House, stalking the dark alleys and moonlit squares of the giant city of Bones'yard with unmatched elegance and finess, as she purge the streets from beasts and enemies of the House alike.
It's during one of those many nights of Hunt that she would meet a particular new huntress... from that day on the nights of Hunt became less lonely, and blood was not the only thing she would eventually be looking for.
"The tale of House Blight is written in blood, human..."
Tumblr media
House Blight is as pompous as it is powerfull on the Boiling Isles.
While the House as a whole is formed by a court of witches and knights, its heart and lead is the Blight Family itself, formed by Duke Alador and his wife Duchess Odalia, the twins Lady Emira and Lord Edric, and the young prodigy Lady Amity.
They are the only one, outside the Students and Researchers of the Blood Coven, to perform and actually create Abomination magic, a dark arcane art made from a very difficult and obscure process of refinement of the blood.
While all the youngs of House Blight are required to be trained in the way of the Hunt in a way proper to the House's status, only the scions of the Family are trained in the way of Abomination magic, seeking the precious blood needed to fuel their magic... this, with their pomposity and snobbish attitude, often led to many ill mouthed rumors such as the Blights being vampiric monsters.
Obviously no one ever dared to say that to their face.
"...I don't know what those dreams of yours means, but these are not people anymore ..."
Tumblr media
House Blight is also known for his own Workshop, led by Duke Alador himself and few others students, producing a vast arsenal of Abomination-fueled weapons, mostly for the Blood Coven and few very rich patricians that can afford such pieces of arts. Those weapons however, are toys compared to the power of a real Abomination magic wielder, for when properly "brewed" and used, Abomination goop has the capacity to latch onto the flesh of its victim and eat away the tissue, drawing the blood to the surface and letting it spill copiously.
Spectre is no such toy.
The handle is but a conduit and container for the abomination. The blade, its sharpness and power are all fruit of Amity's ability of manipulating the goop. The ability to effortlessly change and shift the blade mid-combat into two claws' like daggers a skill honed in infinite bloodshed under the light of the moon.
Spellcaster, while a more standard House Blight weapon in function, is nonetheless a masterpiece of Alador's craftmanship. A gift for the most skilled daughter House Blight has ever seen.
"...so close your heart and let the blood flow copiously... until our heads spin together drunkenly into the night~"
Amity, Blightknight of House Blight, one of the best huntresses on the Boiling Isles.
Nightmare Sans
Oh sinful child, wash off your bones but never forget that blood is thicker than water. Nightmare, was it all really worth it?
Headcanons below. Warning though, I changed some stuff up for the og story to fit how I like it teehee
- Official height changes, but he can be from 5'7 to 6'6(Jesus 💀)
- He/They
- Nihilist, he despises Fate and the Creators
- The embodiment and King of Negativity/A God if you will
- His castle was created when he was corrupted, and later on decided to make it himself
- Naturally cold to the touch, he's not easily affected by temperature
- Has synesthesia, he can see and smell others emotions/aura
- He likes sea animals, they're odd and yet so pretty and mysterious
- Has khopesh blades for weapons because they're twin blades
- He dreams of other versions of him, but he can never find them and often he is haunted by them
- An angry crier, hyperventilates and gets frustrated. Tries to be quiet, but sometimes ends up being loud anyways
- Pessimistic, cynical, observant, responsible, sarcastic, serious, assertive, untrusting, cunning, ruthless, manipulative, reserved, blunt, bitter, intelligent, patient, authoritative, cocky, and stubborn
- He is outright nasty to others, the type to jab at others when possible
- He grows more exhausted overtime once his resentment and bitter anger starts to fade over time
- he is more emotionally driven when his brother is involved in fights that he gets involved in, while more logical otherwise since Dream is the only one to get him like that
- He knows he's fucked up and deep down wants to repent for the wrongs that he has done towards the multiverse. And yet, he has his duties to fulfill
- He fears being vulnerable and doesn't get close to others as a result
- He makes deals and can "play" with his victims when he chooses to. Alliances are all well and good as well, but he is only loyal for as long as the contracts are fulfilled and as long as the other is loyal
- Time thaws his heart, in truth he can feel just as much as a child as Dream at times
- They have a giant library that they read
- Has wonderful manners and speaks very formally. Due to their origins, they also happen to have an accent of some sorts
- His goo tends to always return to him so one ability of his is flicking goo before it can harden and sharpen like spikes at a location
- He can be hit with anything and not get affected unless it's a weapon from his brother
- Strong positivity makes him nauseous, lightheaded, and weak
- Can sense other people's emotions but has the most influence on negativity
- Can analyze others extremely well, reading their body language and analyzing their words
- Hobbies of theirs include reading and writing, or even playing piano since he has a fondness for it
- His magic smells of something akin to earthy scents and moisture, like oak with wet dirt that carries a faint sweetness of decay. His magic tastes something akin to apple
- He's intolerant to children being injured, bullied, or abused. It reminds him of his childhood and thus he is protective of them
- Despite scaring most children, he refuses to harm them and is quite patient and kind to them
- He misses his brother, he does. He tells Dream things he doesn't mean in moments of anger or to get at him, but he doesn't mean pretty much most of it. He doesn't actually blame Dream, at least since he's matured over time
- He never got closure when Dream turned to stone, so those wounds opened up easily when he found out that he was alive. He tried to bury his past but his brother, whose bone is of a porcelain memory to his origins, haunt him
- He can't stand the color yellow, it reminds him of Dream. But, he has secret items that are of a yellow color
- He is fond of flower language and his favorite flower is the purple hyacinth. Fun fact: hyacinth blossoms under full sunlight, and they have wonderful symbolism. Dahlias, orchids, and hydrangea are those he is fond of as well
- He treasures the few things he's gifted, but rarely does he receive anything
- He gets slightly uncomfortable around stone, even if he knows that no one is inside. It just makes him secretly nervous
- Loves animals, but he won't touch them due to his goop and negativity
- His teeth can form into sharp fangs and he has clawed hands, his bone sharpened over time
- He avoids water because if he's fully submerged you can see the inner body that negativity possesses. Aka his original one
- He usually is covered in goop but rarely does it remove around him as a sort of venom situation. In fact, the two are separate entities in some ways, working as one
- Funnily enough he's a perfectionist who likes his things organized, especially when it comes to plans
- Does not use or understand slang
- He is a wonderful strategist, he even plays chess and can use the pieces as a visual understanding of it
- Hates sleep and avoids it until it's impossible to do so
- Can go into other people's dreams and cause intense nightmares, but he cannot do the same for his own and he is forgotten the moment the individual awakes
- He actually cares deeply for a lot of things, but he refuses to acknowledge this under most circumstances. If he vocalizes it, he threatens others to not do anything towards it
- He doesn't hate Error or even Ink, but he finds both to be a pain in the ass. Ink is one of the few he can't wrap his head around and he is one of the few who suspects Ink, especially because his emotions and aura seem....odd
- A more quiet and reserved being, he doesn't talk much unless he has to address someone or when he chooses to respond
- He's hard to read due to his air of apathy, he has learned how to avoid others detecting how he feels
- Even after eons, he won't let anyone else harm Dream
- The stronger the negativity, the larger he grows
- His original name is Night, him and Nightmare are separate but very much intertwined
- His original job was to protect those from negativity and also balance emotions in hard times to guide others, allowing sadness to occur
- Used to Call Dream Sunny as his nickname, and he refuses to let anyone call him Nighty since only Dream called him that
- People like to think of Night being manipulated by negativity but also it's important to note that what if that negative entity actually did feel that pain Nighty went through and was a source of comfort for him when Mother Tree wasn't? Yes, it eventually hurt him by convincing him to eat the apples to be corrupt, but if it's a parasite in my interpretation? I'd want to be maybe like- a situation where the corruption was also genuinely caring of Nighty while simultaneously being the reason Nighty indulged in his anger and hurt
- Multilingual, he knows every language fluently
- He had time to learn how to read and write, he forgot that Dream didn't the first time he saw a tree inside an AU carved by Dream with horrible writing underneath. That realization sort of made his "soul" crumble at the thought
- He has severe thanantophobia, he actually is deeply afraid of dying despite his circumstances. It's something he stresses out about and when Dream became more dangerous, he grew more nervous
- He's actually insecure about his aura at times, especially near those he doesn't wish to harm. He worries if they don't want to be around him because of it, which just worsens his aura
- He thought Dream died long ago, as he was disoriented and was too busy grieving. He didn't actually want Dream to die, and I actually hc that he threw the cloak over Dream to protect him as an apple happened to fall underneath with Dream. He was ashamed when Dream saw him again, and saw who he became. Still, he didn't want to change his ways because of the resentment he still held at the time
- He used to visit Dream and would cry next to his statue before he went off to feed off negative timelines. Even then, he would visit on their birthday
- He destroys mirrors and refuses to look at himself. He doesn't want to remember what he used to look like or who he's now become
- He has a secret painting that he was able to create deep inside his castle, one of Dream. He has destroyed previous ones due to finding them imperfect, a disgusting reminder, etc. this one though, this one he keeps
- His favorite fruit is pomegranate, he can perfectly deseed it and it's his favorite snack other than apple pie
- He used to be great with animals, barely do any of them approach him however
- He likes forests, the scent and even the sensation. He just wishes that he could feel Mother Tree again
- He enjoys herbal tea, actually much more than coffee and his favorite is lavender tea
- He avoids anything related to apples or fire, it reminds him of his past and in fact he grows nervous about it
- Doesn't realize that his tentacles react to his emotions, going so far as to flick with irritation at times
- His tentacles often just appear at will or with extreme emotion, but when they do appear to be actually quite painful since they tore through his back bones. Nowadays, he's numb to it and the bones have attempted to grow back due to magic healing he's attempted to find
- His tentacles actually can act like tree branches or at least resemble them. Firm, shaped similar, etc
- Genderless but prefers masc pronouns
- He actually never lies, but twisting the truth so hard involves enough intellect and leaves him to be a dangerous figure
- on the aroace spectrum
- Gets really goopy when sleeping, to the point he looks boneless
- Out of respect and guilt after coming back to his senses after the incident, he used parts of Mother Tree as custom furniture inside his castle so that she doesn't go to waste at all.
- He actually could hear her screaming when he was corrupted, and that sound haunts him
- He forgot what a hug feels like, the only time he was ever hugged in his life was with Dream. Time caused him to forget
- I feel that his form, present, isn't his true form but he keeps it up because it not only was the turning point in his life, but what protected him. It's why I think it works as something else when it detached itself. The goop at this point is a different part of who he is, and only when he is alone does it detach to speak
- Even if he causes nightmares and enters inside other monsters minds, he actually just has dreams. He dreams of what would've happened if they were happy, being raised by the mother tree, if he and his brother grew up without being guardians. It haunts him, makes him question if he was actually just justified in what he did. Was his actions worth it?
- He hates losing control of situations, absolutely throws a fit
- Struggles getting drunk, so he only drinks wine and magical drinks. Smoking doesn't please him, goop covers it anyways
- He doesn't discriminate, fools. Useless hatred feeds him, sure, but that doesn't mean he agrees and even will react violently towards blatant hate crimes
Closing Notes: no one talk to me, no one look at me. I don't exist, these two are the reasons I need therapy
Magical & Non-Magical Healing in Thedas
Magical Healing
Most healing magic falls under the School of Creation, which is about manipulating natural forces of life. It is a school rarely studied by mages, as it requires more finesse than any other school.
While any mage can study the school of creation and learn to heal, it is Spirit Healers who have the strongest healing magic. Spirit Healers can call in spirits to rapidly heal someone’s body, be it from physical damage or through disease. It requires a special gift of working with spirits in this way, which is rare among mages.
Finally, blood magic is also capable of healing. Solas says, “I once saw a blood mage healer who would shed her own blood to close a patient's wounds,” in defence of blood magic. But the details of this form of healing is unknown.
The extent of what healing magic is capable of varies by the skill of the mage practitioner. In the Tevinter Nights story Three Trees to Midnight, Myrion says that while he only knows a little bit of healing magic and can just close Strife’s wounds, his friend Jasecca was a Spirit Healer who “once reattached a man’s hand after it had been chopped off.”
It’s possible that the average mage in Tevinter is taught at least a little bit of healing magic, as in Tevinter Nights’s The Streets of Minrathous, Neve Gallus is also able to use her magic to slow the flow of blood out her wound, despite claiming to not be a proper healer. This is just like Myrion’s limited abilities.
There are also objects imbued with magical properties capable of healing people. For example, in Herold Had the Plan from Tevinter Nights, Bharv’s amulet completely heals the scratches on his hand without so much as a scar, closes up the wound on his stomach, and even keeps him from dying over a fatal blow.
While magical healing is very useful, because of Chantry-propaganda against magic, there are some in Thedas who would rather suffer than accept magical healing. For example, when the Inquisitor arrives at The Crossroads in the Hinterlands, a soldier tells Mother Giselle not to let any mage touch him when she offers to fetch a healer. But this is not the universal opinion. In Kirkwall, the people of Lowtown and Darktown were willing to shelter and protect Anders as thanks for his healing them.
Non-Magical Healing
There are books found in game that have anatomical diagrams, meaning there is some form of studying the body:
Tumblr media
The most extensive evidence of what non-magical healing is like is from the Surgeon character found in Skyhold. The surgeon knows how to set broken bones, and also mentions doing amputations as a last resort. When asked how non-magical healing works, she replies, “good health isn't magic. It's diet, exercise and a balance of the humors.” She has many comments about bloodletting in particular:
“Hmm, somewhat off-colour today, Inquisitor? An excess of bile, perhaps. Might I bleed you?”
“Try not to touch the leeches. They are quite delicate.”
“Come for a bloodletting?”
Humorism was the real life historic belief that the body was made of four fluids: blood, black bile, yellow bile, and phlegm. Disease was believed to be caused by an imbalance of the humors, and so treatment was to “balance” the humors, often by bleeding the patient. This goes against the basics of germ theory also evidently believed in Thedas, so perhaps this surgeon is in fact out of date?
A note found in The Fallow Mire says, “The Gardners are too sick to save, everyone says. Grandfather and my brothers barricaded them in their own house so they wouldn't make anyone else sick.” This would suggest that the average person knows the basics of germ theory, at least to a degree that they know how diseases spread and how to prevent them through quarantine.
If you take Dorian to the Fallow Mire, he will comment, “At least in the city, you can find a decent healer. Out here you have, what? Roots and berries?” So, healers are not always available. In lieu of practicing healers, common folk turn to those who know about herbalism.
[RELATED POST: Canonical Herbalism in Thedas]
Additionally, there are a variety of folk remedies found across Thedas. For example, to cure a cold: “Bring a cup of whiskey to nearly a boil in a kettle, until its vapors permeate your surroundings. Add the juice of half a lemon and two peeled and crushed cloves of raw garlic. Consume before the whiskey cools.”
Heimdall obsessing over a Darling with some kind of ability to land a hit on him would drive him fucking insane. An ability that overwhelms his senses, a better form of sight than his own, taking his ability away temporarily...like some stranger with magic just waltzes up to Asgard, immediately takes Odin's interest, and they manage to touch HIM? TO DRAW BLOOD? TO MAKE HIM STUMBLE!?
At first it's pure hatred. He wants to know your every fear, insecurity, weakness, and drag it out to humiliate you on and off the battlefield. He wants to oust you in front of the Allfather as the unworthy little rat you are, with your magic being just some fluke. Over time, that hatred will fester until he's obsessed with you almost as much as he's obsessed with Odin. But with that comes a confusion. He's thinking about someone other than the All-father and himself, and he's doing it ALL the time? This is a new feeling for him. And he hates it.
Over time though, maybe that obsession takes a turn to something outside of violent anger. Maybe he gets a talking-to from Odin after constantly being hostile despite Darling being a guest, where Odin slyly mentions how compatible the two of you are in terms of ability. Instead of seething at the loss, Heimdall should get stronger. Maybe Darling's magic can be taught? Maybe it can be...well, inherited. And Odin's lamented just how impossible finding a spouse for Heimdall is for centuries, given his attitude. But if he tells Heimdall that he needs to fulfill this duty to him personally and take Darling as his, then he knows Heimdall will do it.
Plus, forcing them to be his spouse means he can overpower them and get his pride back in a much more intimate and traumatic way. And...he'll begrudgingly admit, their ability to surprise him makes them the person closest to meeting his standards. And they look good on his arm or trapped by him, too--surprisingly comely and dare he says, enticing.
At first he's a monster and a bully (nothing surprising) once he knows they're trapped in Asgard with him, likely due to Odin coercing them with his gift for manipulation or magic binding them to Asgard. But when he continues to go too far, Odin has to pull him aside again and sternly tell him how a proper husband should be. Ironic, I know, given who Odin is, but he knows the value of gaslighting and manipulating more than anyone. Force, mockery, hostility...that won't do what Odin wants.
"If you want to really regain your pride, then force and harming them won't do anything. You're attacking someone bound with magic; any act of harm just means you're bullying the weak. It's like beating Thor in a chess match, for fuck's sake, of course it's easy. Heim, my boy, I would've thought you of all people would understand that you need to follow my example: woo them, learn what they need and crave, and make them think you're the only one they can rely on. They're already isolated and vulnerable, I've done the work there. Use that intellect of yours and get them to WANT to belong to you. Do that, and you can defeat them without even having to raise a hand.
...besides, constant stress and pain is gonna impair you two when it comes to my grandchildren. You've got a lineage to continue and uphold, and the golden children of my golden child need the best environment they can get."
His Rose ~ Details
(Kai Parker x Bennett OC fanfiction)
content warnings/tags ~ Dark fiction, dom/sub dynamics, abuse, murder, childhood trauma (mentioned). Minors DNI
I don't claim ownership of The Vampire Diaries or its characters. All credits go to the rightful owner(s). I only own my original character(s).
K.P. Masterlist
This fanfiction is born from my dissatisfaction with the way Kai was criminally underutilized in the TVDU. Honestly, I found him annoying at first, but he grew on me as season 6 went on. Thru Chris Wood's charming performance, Kai stole the show for me. I'll never forgive the showrunners for a lot of things, including underutilizing Chris Wood in this role & not allowing this broken king to have a real redemption arc.
On the topic of the showrunners, I'll never forgive them for how they did Bonnie Bennett or the Bennetts in general with how they were limited to magical plot devices for everyone else's use without any appreciative focus on their power & how it could really benefit them. Even though I love Bonnie & Kai, my otp endgame for her has always been Bonenzo, but I also adore Klonnie ❤️.
My AU changed and added plenty of lore around his coven & certain events. The plot follows the life of Bonnie's younger sister, Rosalina "Rose" Bennett-Ruiz. I go on to describe her below, but I'd like to state that she acts as Kai's antithesis as an innocent, fledgling witch. She's also Bonnie's support system. I always hated how the show often ignored that Bonnie lacked family around her that were unconditionally there for her. Bonnie's mom left when she was small, she lost her grams in season 1, and her father was a non-factor in her life until he returned... just to get killed off in front of her.
I wrote Rose & Bonnie's dynamic keeping in mind everything I hate about older sibling/younger sibling dynamics, like the one between Buffy and Dawn in BTVS. Bonnie deserves family that consistently supports her, encourages her to prioritize her well-being, and actually tries to lessen the existing load on her shoulders.
Another thing I kept in mind when adding Rose to my TVD AU is not to have her replace or take away Bonnie’s space in the plot. Now, I do give her Bonnie's plotline of being sent to the prison world in season 6, but this is essential to the story, and the way Bonnie was treated that season made me so sad that I have no problem taking traumatic experiences from her (of which she has more than enough) and giving them to Rose.
Okay... if you made it through my rant, congrats. I also want to offer my inbox as a place where anyone can offer up requests, scenarios, ask questions, even if you want to roast my cruddy writing... my inbox is open.
🌹Rosalina "Rose" Bennett-Ruiz:🌹
Born: March 18th, 1994 (18yrs)
Gender: Female | Height: 5’1” | Hair color: Brown | Eye color: Hazel
Race/ethnicity: Black and Latino/Hispanic
Species: witch (Bennett)
Titles: Rosy (Kai), littlest witch (by Kol), kid (by Damon)
Characteristics:
Rose is a gentle and kind-hearted person, always looking for the good in people and situations. She can be a people pleaser and she’s naive and overly trusting, often seeing the best in everyone and believing in second chances.
She highly values family, so bonding with Bonnie means a lot her. Due to her naivety and weakness, she can be easily manipulated and taken advantage of. Like Bonnie she’s compassionate and tends to selflessly help others. Struggles with powerful spells because of her insecurity in her magical abilities
She enjoys singing, gardening (honing her nature-based magic, making potions & studying herbology), sewing and cooking (she bakes when she’s anxious)
She has a strong aversion to blood & violence so spending time with vampires took a lot of getting used to
Trilingual: fluent in Spanish & Portuguese
Despite her demure demeanor and virginal innocence, with her stuffed animal collection, enduring love of cartoons and a lack of dating, she harbors the secret desire to submit herself to a powerful dominant
Background:
Family: Bonnie Bennett (half-sister), Jamie Ruiz (half-brother), Abby Bennett-Ruiz (mother), Matteo Ruiz (father 🕊️), Sheila Bennett (maternal gm🕊️)
Rose was raised in Summersville, North Carolina. She was a child model until 13 when her father tragically died. She was the captain of her high school majorette dance team. Her life drastically changed when Bonnie arrived on her doorstep.
Rose was 16 when she & Bonnie would finally meet. Bonnie and Elena came to Abby for help with a spell. Rose was shocked to find that she had an older sister as Abby never mentioned Bonnie or the life she left behind in Mystic Falls. She was even more surprised upon finding out about her magical bloodline and that supernatural creatures walked the earth. Unlike Grams, Abby never mentioned magic throughout Rose’s life and even went as far to suppress her magic with a charmed necklace
After Abby is turned by Damon, she decides to leave her family to learn control and find peace as a fledgling vampire. Rose moves to Mystic Falls with Bonnie where she learns magic from her.
Magic doesn’t come naturally to her. Admittedly having a 50% accuracy rate with her spells. She struggles with her confidence & focus when chanting and spells drain her much quicker even when she tries channeling the energy around her. Despite this, Rose is determined to improve, valuing her one-on-one time with Bonnie and spending late nights on her own practicing & memorizing spells. She is determined to use her magic for good, prove herself and lessen the load on Bonnie as the resident Bennett witch of the group.
Her role in the Mystic Falls gang is the “Bennett witch in training” or “the bringer of baked goods” (according to Damon), since she often supplies their gatherings with fresh pastries. Everyone underestimates her power, even Bonnie. She tries to keep Rose out of danger unless she can’t help it.
🔪Malachai "Kai" Parker:🔪
Born: May 9, 1972 (22yrs)
Gender: Male | Height: 6'0" | Hair color: Dark Brown | Eye color: Blue-gray
Race/ethnicity: white/non-Hispanic
Species: siphoner (Gemini Witch coven)
Titles: abomination, black sheep, the defective twin (his coven)
Characteristics:
Charismatic with a charming smile. Upon meeting him, his charisma operates as a façade to hide his lack of empathy and his sadistic tendencies
Can be hard to read but that’s because he struggles with expressing his emotions which stems from his abusive childhood. He’s cold and relatively unfeeling with people, but once he lets someone in, he’s fiercely loyal and protective.
He can be observant, calculating and manipulative to taking advantage of someone and get what he wants
He’s a sassy man, often comes back with quick quips and has a natural sense of humor (typically dark humor)
When he’s comfortable, always yapping, has no filter and sucks with certain social cues. After being alone for nearly his whole life, will talk anyone's ear off without realizing they are not willing to listen
Kai can siphon all of a witch’s magic without killing them. He controls how the process feels - at its worst, a fast searing burn to a slight tingle. Overtime, a witch will regenerate their magic
High libido!!- He’s starved for touch and affection (though he would never admit that he needs anyone). Sexual desires reflect his sadistic personality as he enjoys dominating another person through absolute control and pain infliction
He likes raunchy comedies and media with half-naked women such as Bay Watch and MTV videos. A major foodie with constant cravings for sweet and salty snacks. He prefers snacking throughout the day but when he does bother to cook, it’s really good
He is fluent in old Latin, often found in grimoires and other ancient texts. Time allowed him to hone his knowledge of witchcraft and technique
Background:
The Parker family is the head of the Gemini coven. Its patriarch, Joshua Parker is the coven leader. Kai is the eldest child, being half an hour older than his fraternal twin, Josette. Unlike Jo, Kai was born without the ability to generate his own magic, instead siphoning magic from lingering spells, objects, or other witches. When he was young, he would naturally gravitate toward the magic of his sister, so Joshua quickly decided to physically isolate Kai from everyone for fear of his son's "defect" hurting others.
As fraternal twins born of the coven leader, Jo and Kai would be set to merge on their 22nd birthday, where the winner takes the other's magic and coven leadership and the loser dies and is absorbed into the other but with the risk of Kai's siphoning ability giving him an edge in the merge, Joshua and Viviane continued having kids until she birthed another set of twins that would merge instead.
Kai's upbringing was lonely, spending most of his time locked in his bedroom up in the attic. Following his father's lead, most of his family excluded and demonized him. As he grew, Kai learned to internalize the cruel labels they gave him. If they wanted a monster, they would get a monster and on his 22nd birthday, May 9th, 1994, he would finally act on his boiling rage and resentment toward his family, unleashing the hatred he accumulated through a lifetime of torment onto his siblings when Jo refused the merge. To protect the twins, she would relent to merge with him but the coven was waiting and with the help of Sheila Bennett they banished him to a prison world of complete isolation.
Each year that passed only added to his hunger for revenge, left with nothing to do but plan his escape and seizer of coven leadership. He grew to take pride in what he had done to his siblings and his status as a sociopath capable of killing anyone who gets in his way without remorse.
AU-Specific Lore:
Tumblr media
Prison world Lore:
The prison world resets with the eclipse every 3 months.
Time works differently, so no one ages throughout their time there.
The prison world cannot create life so the only living inhabitants are those sent there or arrive via ascendant.
Kai is linked to the prison world so he can’t die. If something kills him, he’ll be out for a while depending on the damage but the magic will heal him back to life. Without Kai, the prison world falls apart so while he’s there, it sustains his life to sustain itself. Once he leaves, it ceases to exist.
The Ascendant - an ancient device created by the Gemini coven and a Bennett ancestor that only responds to a living Bennett’s blood and magic. The ascendant is sensitive to magic in general, so even when the spell is done right, it will activate then fall apart. You only have one chance at the time of the eclipse to correctly do the spell, which Kai knows from experience because early on he tried collecting a vial of Bennett blood that he hunted down in a hospital and using Josette's magic he siphoned from a hidden dagger. Disappointment boiled over into rage when he did the spell beneath the eclipse, the ascendant disassembled, but he was not transported out.
The Gemini Coven Lair:
Exists as a non-physical location where the coven keeps ancient texts, grimoires, enchanted items (talismans, gems, ascendants, etc.), and materials for spells & potions
Infinite space that can be utilized by the coven leader: often includes a space for magic instruction, a library, spell casting, a gathering area for the coven, etc.
Accessed only by portal, which is summoned by a spell entrusted to high-ranking Gemini members
Her lore is inspired by Anne Jefferies and the fairies but I decided to make it darker and bloodier hehe 😝.
[The Lore] CW: Blood, Death.
Across the north where the wind from the south meets the northern sea of Ma’chilga town as if they were lovers from different parts of the world, There, was a happy little girl called Layla Buyunni, She works as a florist and a caregiver to an old lady called ‘Granny Mira’
Layla is known among the people as a happy and carefree girl, let alone a very beautiful and popular girl in the town too. Every day, she finishes her morning chores in Granny Mira's house then she goes to the market to buy groceries so she can cook and prepare a meal for herself and Granny Mira.
This was her daily routine for years until one day, she was cleaning the backyard with a broom, when she heard a rustling in the bushes, at first she didn’t care at all, she continued to clean the backyard until the rusting became more frequent and annoying, she decided to go and see what is hiding behind the bushes and she saw nothing at all, confused, she decided to head back to the yard and continue cleaning it.
This time, she heard a lot of voices and more rustling in many bushes near her, she was beginning to freak out. She clenched her hands onto the broom as if it were a weapon, she gasped with utter shock when she saw 6 dwarves dressed in green and white garbs coming towards her way. They stopped when they came face-to-face with Layla. They looked at her and smiled.
“Hello, Fair Maiden,” The leader of the dwarves greeted her.
Layla was so shocked that she didn’t reply, she kept looking at them and said nothing, at first, she thought she was dreaming or something. Until one of the dwarves climbed on her feet and she yelped in shock as she backed away from them.
“Worry not, fair maiden,” Their leader said, his tone genuine and soothing, Then six dwarves dressed in green and white outfits came to meet her. They all stood in a row in front of Layla and smiled up at her.
“A-a-a-are you r-real?” Layla finally spoke, she was stuttering and her tone was scared and shy. She was in disbelief, still not believing what she was seeing, she rubbed her eyes with her hands and looked at them and they were still there.
The dwarves laughed at her; They nodded their heads while doing so.
“Of course, we are, fair maiden,” said their leader, It is a dwarf who wore a white hat while the other green ones.
Terrified, she fiercely swung her broom at the dwarves, They dodged her attack and looked at her in complete confusion, Their leader, Mattan, raised her hand at her in indifference so that he could explain the situation to her.
“Layla, stop it!” Mattan declared with a firm tone.
In complete bewilderment, Layla dropped her broom, she lifted a surprised eyebrow “How did you know my name?”
“We know you, but you don’t know us,” cane his vague reply.
Layla only blinked twice or thrice at this, she didn’t know what to do or say; Dwarves appearing in your garden isn’t something you see every day or something you can barely process. Layla swallowed hard, trying her hardest to understand the situation she was in.
“Okay? And what do you want?” Layla inquired.
Mattan stepped closer, he gently raised his hand and touched the hem of her dress. He didn’t say anything in the least, He only did some hand gestures. A thick white fog like a cloud in a clear sky enveloped them and in fear, Layla covered her eyes.
It didn’t take long for Layla to take her hands from her eyes and see what happened. She is in a different place now – a jungle — a forest, She is in a forest-like place, full of thick trees and green grass. As if she is in a perfect forest in some fairytale.
The dwarves started to walk and Layla trotted behind them. Mattan was talking about the history of this glorious forest while Layla was eagerly looking around the place. She smiled as he mentioned something about ‘willow trees’ she loves them so much.
In a flash, Mattan and his dwarves came to a halt, Mattan looked directly into Layla’s eyes as he pointed a finger at her.
“Layla, You are the daughter of the mother forest,” Mattan announced suddenly.
Layla, bewildered at his claim, she calmly shook her head. “No sir, I’m no such thing,” She replied.
Mattan, still determined to prove himself right. “You are!” He said determinedly.
Layla shook her head. “No, Sir.”
“You are!”
“No, Sir.”
Mattan breathed to calm himself. Layla is as stubborn as a mule to accept the truth.
Mattan sat on a big rock. “Haven’t you asked yourself, where are your pare?” Mattan asked.
Layla’s eyes fixed on him. “I have, many times to count,” She said in a quiet tone.
“Both of your parents are gone, sadly,” Mattan told her, his tone is soft and mild. He paused then after long moments. “But, You must know your heritage, You are a verdant, a being of the forest and we need to protect you until you grow up into a powerful Sylvan!”
The dwarves nodded as they looked at Layla.
Layla was still in disbelief and she refused to believe any of this. “No, I’m no such thing.”
Suddenly, five dark creatures rushed towards Layla but Mattan easily blocked their path from Layla.
Layla gasped in utter shock and horror. From the look of them, they are dark dwarves, evil beings of chaos and evil. They are dressed in black and red clothes and they carry axes with them.
Mattan looked at Layla, He used his abilities to transported her back to her home. Layla was thankful to him for saving her life.
After days of this event, Layla discovered that she has some abilities, she can grow plants, flowers and everything that is plant-based. She told Granny Mira and the latter was shocked and scared.
“Please, Do not let the king know of this!” Granny Mira begged.
“Why?” Layla asked innocently.
Granny Mira breathed. “He hates magic, Because ‘magic’ is the reason for his wife's death,” She answered then she paused as if to remember what she was going to say. “Also, He will punish anyone that is doing magic or complicit in it!”
Layla was shocked, she didn’t know about this at all. No one in town said such a thing about magic.
“Okay, I got it,” Layla muttered as her head hunged down.
She was so happy about her gift, she wanted to help everyone and make their life easier, but now? She has to keep her gift a secret or everyone she knows will suffer.
Layla decided to look at the bright side. Granny Mira is right, she needed to keep this secret. Because if not: everyone she cares about is threatened with death. She decided to use her gift in secret and she won’t tell anyone about it except for Granny Mira, she already knows.
Days go by, and the dwarves finally come again to see Layla and to talk with her. They brought with them food and bread.
They sat in Layla’s room and surprised her. Layla smiled at them, it was the first time she smiled at them and she greeted them.
“Hello, Friends,” she greeted them happily.
The dwarves smiled and greeted her too, both were happy about their friendship. They decided to celebrate at little and the food they brought.
Layla took a bite of the bread, it was delicious and sweet, It was as if angels were singing in her mouth, she never tasted something as delicious as this. She thanked them for the food, she ate slowly and with manners, savouring every taste of it.
“This, this is delicious!” Layla spoke after she swallowed the bread.
“Glad you like it, It is called fairy bread,” Mattan exclaimed happily.
Then, The dwarves left, they brought with them so much food that Layla decided to put it on the hall table.
Later that day, Granny Mira invited her other friends, who were all older women just like her, she offered them the food that the dwarves brought to Layla. They took a bite of it and they were happy, they were praising Granny Mira for the delicious food she offered to them.
“This is delicious!”
“I have never ever tasted something like this!”
“This is out of this world!”
Granny Mira's smile flickered with a hint of bewilderment as she listened to their enthusiastic claims about the bread. Doubt crept into her mind, but curiosity got the better of her, with a determined nod, she reached for a piece and brought it to her lips. The moment she took a bite, her eyes widened in astonishment. The flavours exploded on her tongue, sending waves of delight through her senses. In a frenzy of hunger, she devoured the rest of the bread, savouring every delectable morsel as if she were a ravenous beast.
All her friends nodded. “See?” They chuckled at her display of hunger.
Granny Mira chuckled in agreement. She was embarrassed by her own inability to control herself. She is a well-mannered lady and she must show it.
When Granny Mira's friends left. She told Layla about the delicious bread and the food that was on the table, she laughed at how her friends, devoured it all, as if they were starving for days.
Layla smiled at this, she was happy but she was a little concerned since Granny Mira mentioned they ate the food that the dwarves gave her, and she was terrified that her caregiver friends would ask more of that food.
“Wellness, Granny,” Layla chuckled, trying her hardest to push her nervousness and concern away.
“You made it right? You always make delicious food,” Granny
Layla sighed. “No, I didn’t make it,” she confessed.
Granny blinked her eyes in pure confusion. “Y-you didn’t make it? Then who?”
Layla sat on the sofa. She looked at Granny and smiled “The fairies, or the dwarves, whatever they were,” she shrugged her shoulders. She was nonchalant and she didn’t know why.
“Layla, Tell me the truth,” Granny said as she sat beside her on the sofa.
“I told you the truth, It was the dwarves who made it for me.”
“That’s ridiculous!”
“It is the truth!”
Granny crossed her arms. “Layla! There are no such things as ‘fairies’ or ‘dwarves’”
“Fine! You want me to prove it to you?” Layla stated as she got to her feet and went to a different spot in the room and she started to move her hands as if to summon a paranormal creature.
It didn’t take long as a green glow sparkled in the room and six figures emerged from it. They were short and dwarves-like, unlike dwarves who were known for their green skin and ugly features, these dwarves had fair skin tones and good-looking facial features.
Granny placed her hands on her lips in pure astonishment. “Oh my! You are right! They are real.”
“See?” Layla grinned at her.
Granny Mira nodded and smiled. “Of course, But you must not tell the people about them Let alone the King,” Granny declared.
Layla nodded at her. “Of course, Granny.”
Times go by, and The dwarves continue to visit Layla and bring food for her, Granny’s guests enjoy the food and tell Granny how talented her daughter is for making the food, They were unaware of the dwarves or the fairies or even of Layla’s new gifts.
Unfortunately, One day, one of the King’s advisors heard some voices in the house of Layla and her Granny, They weren’t human and they didn’t belong to Layla or Granny, He heard of local stories of witches and glowing creatures, etc; he decided to take a permit to investigate the house.
He took a permit and he is heading to investigate Layla’s house. He saw things, He didn’t wish to make accusations without evidence.
Layla and Granny welcomed the King’s advisor. At first, He didn’t find anything regarding the ‘witches’ or ‘the glowing creatures’ that he heard or saw.
Unbeknownst to Layla or Granny, The King’s guards were awaiting the advisor's word so they could enter and capture Layla and Granny. but he didn’t give his signal at all.
The King’s advisor still didn’t see anything out of the ordinary in the house. He is still looking for clues and he sees glowing green spots on the floor. He raised an eyebrow as he looked at Layla and her Granny.
“Oh, that? That is some rare herbs I found deep in the forest!” Layla lied. She smiled as she looked him in the eye.
The King's advisor nodded. He didn’t know that it was a lie, her tone was genuine and sincere. and her body language didn’t show nervousness or lack of expression.
But the unexpected happened and one of the dwarves blew his cover as he fell from one of the top drawers of the kitchen.
The King’s advisor looked at Layla and Granny, He immediately lifted his finger and gave a signal towards the King’s guards. They came by kicking the door open and arrested Granny and Layla.
“Please! Please let us go!” Layla begged. “It is not what you think!”
His reply was a slap to her left cheek as he looked at her with disgust. “Silence! You witch!”
The guards took Layla and Granny to the King’s Yard for judgment.
At this moment, Hadi and Arouj were walking around the town, They heard people talking about a girl named Layla and her Granny, and that they were accused of witchcraft and magic.
Hadi’s interest was piqued by this. He knew there was more than meet the eye, He decided to do a rescue mission for Layla and her Granny, So, He pulled Arouj’s hand and they were running towards the King’s yard.
By the time Hadi and Arouj reached the place, the judge had said his final verdict and he saw Layla and her Granny were tied and ready to be executed.
His hand already glowed with green magic, With a snap of his fingers, the ropes on Layla and her Granny loosened, Layla quickly saw her chance and used her chlorokinesis, she shot out her palms, Thick hard vines curled themselves around the guards’ ankles and they were thrown away as if they were stones thrown by a catapult.
People gasped with horror and shock. They were scared of Layla’s powers, They ran at the sight of it. The King ordered his guards to kill Layla and The Granny.
So far, The King’s guards couldn’t get closer to Layla at all, until the King himself took Granny by surprise and killed her by decapitating her head with his sword. Layla gasped in shock and anger. The King’s sword is coated with blood, her Granny’s blood, She used her Chlorokinesis once again, she killed all the guards as her ravenous and scary monster plants killed the complicit in her Granny’s death.
Hadi magically pushed the guards away while Arouj used his lashers to kill them quickly, He didn’t want to but they forced his hands.
Layla growled with anger as she shot her palm against the king and his remaining guards. She commanded the ravenous vines to attack the evil King and his guards.
The King fought for his life till the end, But Layla decided to finish him quickly, One of Layla’s plant vines pierced him his heart, He yelled and gurgled as he placed his hand on his heart as if he was trying to lessen the pain but he couldn’t and died.
Hadi decided to intervene now. He slowly and carefully walked towards Layla. “We need to go,” He said urgently.
She smiled at him and nodded. “Let us go.”
Layla, Hadi and Arouj left the town, Hadi’s hands wreathed in a green glow as he conjured a portal to his home. Layla, Arouj and Hadi entered the portal before they were followed by the King’s guards.
Layla thanked Hadi for saving her and offering her a new place to stay, one where she could freely express herself and be herself.
She knew that she had fallen in love with Hadi Because he was the only guy who didn’t look at her as the guys would. He saw her as a friend and a great one. Layla fell in love with him and she likes him.
Aliyaa, Hadi and Arouj welcomed Layla and thus she stayed with them, as her new family. Layla also decided to look for answers about who she is and what happend to her parents.
katherine IS the most interesting bitch on that show. elena’s only interesting trait is looking like katherine. i would pay real fake money for katherine v cersei beef because they’re both off their hinges
she is the character of all time and no one will speak on it so i will: dead love interest who haunts the narrative who PLOT TWIST is slowly revealed to be some kind of manipulative mastermind pitting the brothers against each other for her own amusement but no one can quite figure out what she was doing that one night in 1864 who PLOT TWIST is not actually dead the tomb is empty and then she comes back to town exclusively to start shit and then PLOT TWIST turns out her entire character motivation is that she has spent her entire mortal and immortal five hundred year existence being hunted to the ends of the earth because of something completely out of her control (she refused to lie down and die to give her magic blood to an older eviler vampire for a ritual) and now he will stop at nothing to kill her over it because he’s a petty grudgeholder.
all she has ever wanted all that’s motivating her is that she does NOT WANT TO DIE. but 500 years of fight or flight running for her life have completely eliminated her ability to make normal human connections so all she knows how to do is play mind games with people she can’t fully trust to have SOMETHING to exert control over. that is such an INTERESTING character arc but she’s also a mean lady on a YA show so she has to be ontologically evil while Klaus gets a redemption spinoff. they hate to see a bitch serve cunt in central Virginia
Hi Arcadekitten!!! I recently played ‘Sweet No Death’ and I absolutely LOVED it!!! The art was amazing, and It was like a perfect balance of cuteness and horror, and was also kinda…. Deep, in a way? Anyhow, I really enjoyed it :) and Ruuuby was my favorite <3
I have a few questions and headcanons about the game, as well! May I ask you some questions, please?
1) Does Stella like Lambchop back? Or rather… CAN she like him back? In the game it doesn’t seem that she had any sort of attraction to him whatsoever, but is the potential there? Their relationship is complicated, but it’s also really cute in a way :)
2) Where did Stella come from? We know that she arrived on a shooting star, but is there a chance that she came from the original Noisrevverse (did I spell it right? Idk) as well? If so, I have a lot of theories…
3) How did Stella obtain her god-savior complex, anyways? Was she always like this, or did some event in her past that made her this way? Also, how did she get so powerful? Stella is arguably the most powerful Noisrevian (again, did I spell it right?) by far… was she just naturally that powerful or did she have to work her way up to be?
4) Why was Lambchop the only one to gain self-awareness while the others were just… blind? I know that you said he became ‘disillusioned…’ but why was he the only one who thought “Hey, this is kinda freaky??? What the heck???” While no one else did? Is there some kind of symbolism in this, or…
5) Okay, this is technically not a question and more of an observation, but while I was playing Sweet No Death I kept drawing parallels to Venna the Witch from your other game, Crowscare. Her extreme power and controlling, manipulative nature resembling Stella’s, and her love for blood and meat resembling Lambchop’s. Also, the true ending of Sweet No Death (where Stella covers the whole town in fake blood and guts) reminds me of the Blood Moon ending in Crowscare… not to mention the whole ‘shaping the world into my own image’ thing that they both have going on… Was this intentional? If so, that’s pretty cool! :)
6) Relating to the last question, would Venna, Stella and Lambchop ever get along if they met? I personally feel that Stella and Venna would make an unlikely, but close friendship (Opposites attract, but platonicly!) trading potion recipes, talking about their plans for world domination, things like that… though Stella may have to restrain Venna from murdering her friends 😅 As for Lambchop… well, I’ll leave that up to you!
7)And finally… why DOES Lambchop still love Stella, anyways? Hmm….🤔
Thank you so much for reading my questions (even though idk if you’ll actually answer ‘em… I don’t blame you, lol. It is A LOT.) and once again, thank you for creating such an awesome game!! I look forward to playing more of your awesome games as well! :D Have a good day/night/whatever time zone you’re in rn :)
I'm so happy to hear you like it, thank you so much!! ♡ I'll try to answer these to the best of my ability!!
I'd say the potential is definitely there! She may already like him like that without even knowing it herself. I mean, look at the gifts in her room and how differently she describes Lambchop's gift from Ruuuby and Raj's. ---
I don't think she came from like any sort of "more proper Noisrev" or anything like that. She did come FROM the stars! Y'know how everyone says people are made of stardust? Well this girl is like, almost concentrated stardust, y'know? ---
Stella is naturally this powerful!! And if you have this kind of power, wouldn't you try to use it to help others? ---
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ---
Nothing intentional! Kinda just seems like natural similarities between their stories especially being the genre they are. ---
I mean, Stella might be able to get along talking about magic and whatever, but if she found out that Venna was an abusive mother I'm not sure if Stella would be able to stomach her a second longer. She already feels bad for what her friends are going through (even if she helps them after), I don't think she'd be comfortable with the idea of a child having gone through such traumatic experiences with no "out". Also I DEFINITELY wouldn't say that Stella is planning for "world domination". I think some of you villainize Stella a bit too much! Lambchop likes blood and gore. Enough said. ---
Why wouldn't he love Stella? She's a dreamboat! She's adorable! But for real, while Stella is very adorable, Lambchop loves Stella because she makes him feel alive.
i love Lacho asks and everyone's different feelings/opinions on them! that being said, how would you feel about a lacho personality/outfit swap au?
Omg YES those are always SO FUN
Let's focus on the outfits first Listen I just love it. It has a lot of potential. Lalo only wearing black and red??? Yes PLEASE. But it also mean bye bye loafers Lalo you're only wearing pointy boots or sneakers now. Lalo in converses omg. Lalo in Nacho's black sweater OMG ! I need a minute here. And the leather jacket. yes.
Tumblr media
Also he would rock those gold chains! The leather bracelets and riiiiing oh my.. Men wearing rings is just always a yes. And oh boy the snake earring... With his curly hair.... Someone hold me down I'm going feral (here is an unnecessary high quality pic of 💖 Nacho's hands 💖 to illustrate)
Tumblr media
I tried to find a pic of tony wearing red shirt but it doesn't exist??? Except his Lalo outfit with the flowery pattern, I mean, it's too Lalo coded to be used as an exemple of him in Nacho's outfit. There is just one pic of him wearing a red t-shirt (told you red is perfect for him, wished he would show up somewhere with a black and red suit like in Sir Avila, or even with a red dress shirt under the black costume, because damn) and I edited a pic because photoshop gives me that power
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
!!! BUT !!! While looking for pics, I just realized something. The red shirt (kind of) he wears in the scene he's doing loops at the race tracks is, to me, a look a like in style to the shirt Nacho is wearing the very first time we see him in the series. I mean the blotchy/stains looking pattern makes me link these two shirt. That would be the closest we get to actually see Lalo in an outfit that looks like Nacho's
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, Nacho with the fanciest shirts yes yes yes also the nice pants YES YES YES and the shoes letting his ankles visible yes yES Y E S (god I feel like a dude from middle ages here)
Tumblr media
Here (left) Lalo's shoes in Magic Man (s5E01) where he's wearing the splendid yellow shirt/deep blue pants. On the right, Michael wearing the same kind of shoes. He would do just fine I'm telling you.
Tumblr media
It also means he would be wearing COWBOY BOOTS and that's something important. True weapon here. Him in blue loafers is hilarious tho, if they don't swap the personality but only the outfits this is just so out of character I would need to find a reason why he would wear these ones. Maybe his papa gifted them to him and he feels like he has to wear them, or maybe Nacho would be that wild little thing when it came to buying clothes, it would be how his extravagant side expressed itself. But Nacho would look totally credible with other colors than red and black! The series shows us he looks really good in light colors (like we seen higher)
Tumblr media
But! Michael offers us the chance to picture Nacho wearing shirts with more patterns that to me could fit in this AU (look, with his pendant in the second pic, Lalo core)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And he's even wearing yellow with dark blue shorts! Maybe he would look good in that Lalo outfit?
Tumblr media
Okay enough digressions about outfits (I love clothes, sorry) let's speak about the Personality
First thing coming to my mind : the first time they meet.
Okay so I have two visions for this, depending on how much we move the cursor on the personality, what "personality" includes or not. Does it swap their habits/abilities too or not.
1) No swap of habits/abilities. Nacho arrives at El Mich', smiling of course, and when he notices Mingo and the owner sitting with a stranger busy in the kitchen, he first stares at Mingo, but we can tell the affinity he has with him is even less good than in the canon version. I mean Nacho is now someone much more cold blooded here, and does Lalo have any real friends sticking at his side? no. Here Nacho is a terrible friend, a terrible dude, manipulating and mocking a lot of things, with no real consideration for people around him except his father. I'm not even sure Lalo's personality would allow a friend like Mingo to happen, but I don't want Mingo to not be in this either so they somehow make it work. So Nacho goes to the kitchen, and on the opposite of how we seen him in canon, he's much more relaxed, his arms are rarely crossed too, and just like Lalo would when he has to be intimidating, he would just stand with his arms by his side. Unlike the canon, Lalo would spot his arrival immediately, because now he's a very attentive man, he doesn't get distracted -or pretend to be- by cooking. Still, he wouldn't be the first one to talk, it would be Nacho, who would put a big smile on his face and maybe go "Hey there! You're the new cook?" and Lalo would be like "No. I'm here to replace my tio." because now he goes to the point. "Your tio? You mean Hector? What happened to him is so sad, I'm sorry. So you're a Salamanca too then?" "Yes" "Awesome! You know Tuco told me a lot about you, that you have a good head for numbers." because yeah, in this AU Nacho would be much more chatty and friendly with everyone, so he would know things about the Salamanca family members after all that time spent with them, he gets to know things about the members he never met before. Lalo would send him looks like he's not buying the friendly attitude at all, "And you are Ignacio Varga." "That's me. I've been told you were smart, and here you are, and you are!" "Great. Get to work." "Ooh bossy! Your tio taught you well, eh?" And Nacho would make his way back to the table, and Lalo would stare at him through the opening in the wall, trying to mentally explode him.
2) Kind of the same exchange EXCEPT there is a swap of habits/abilities, and now Nacho is the one cooking when Lalo arrives, and he's all singing and super busy in the kitchen and Lalo just wonders where the fuck did he just put a foot into, already regretting he left his hacienda to find himself dealing with such a loud guy.
Or maybe Nacho is still the last one to arrive at El Mich', and when he enters Lalo is sitting at one of the table, waiting silently after he met with the owner and Mingo, already getting info about how things are run in Albuquerque. Then Nacho arrives, says something like "It's so quiet in there, who's dead?" and they just all stare at him, Mingo a bit mortified, Lalo very much not amused and instantly feeling annoyed with Nacho. His tio almost died, this guy thinks he's being funny? Nacho wouldn't linger, he would act completely obvious of his joke and still be very friendly with Lalo "I'm Ignacio, but you can call me Nacho." and then he would tell the owner "You're not feeling well today? No prob I can help!" and he's gone to the kitchen in a flash to start the stove and blast music far too loudly and Lalo would rub at his temples while Mingo sends him a sorry and a bit scared look. Lalo has been nothing but very professional since he arrived, all very serious, and he's a bit scared for his friend Nacho. How will Lalo handle his personality?
Lalo knows he'll have to spend a lot of time with Nacho, but he'll do everything he can to avoid that. At first he would still ask Nacho to drive him through the city, he still have a job to do and he does it well. So they visit the different places and all.
Nacho invites him to a lot of poker nights with the guys, it happens very often, and Lalo refuses multiple times before finally accepting one day.
At some point Nacho calls him Lalito and Lalo never frowned this hard in his entire life ever before. He tells him to not call him that, but Nacho just laughs and keep on calling him Lalito. Lalo corrects him multiple times until he somehow gets used to it and stops trying to make that change.
And Nacho is very loud, unnerving, but Lalo has to admit the man is really good at his job. And that gets his respect.
I think I could keep on writing about this AU, but this is already a stupidly VERY long answer. Anyway, I hope this all make sense! Thank you for this ask, it's a very super fun one! A LOT of things to think about 💖
Hi, I have a few asks! Hope they're not too much to answer!
What types of weapons do the Erebian League use? I'm thinking scimitars, rapiers..? Maybe poison-coated?
Can a magic-user give up their magic willingly? If so, then how would they be treated in society afterwards?
Out of the Origins you can choose from, who has the worst/best relationship with their parents? (excluding the Child of the Streets since they're an orphan/don't know their parents) I think the Child of the Sea hates their parents the most- they were sold off like a piece of merchandise for Gods sake! (Wayfarer curse reference!)
What age do Wayfarer's usually join the order? How long do they train for before graduating?
Which is the hardest magic sphere to master?
Are bloodbinders exclusive to those of Melusine ancestry- since only Rhodarth and Iaera have been mentioned to have this power and they're both of Melusine ancestry.
Which Origin is likely to receive the most discrimination based on where they are from?
Are Atheists rare- most of the characters mentioned seem to be religious- and if they are, then how are they treated?
Is there any way to find a loophole in a blood oath?
Most of these are answered in the text, either directly or in the subtext.
1. Daggers and throwing knives. As demonstrated by Malsara.
2. No. You can't "give up" magic.
3. This is best left to player imagination and headcanon! How your MC feels about their family and their parents is up to you.
4. There's no standard as it depended on when they joined. But they were usually recruited as children and would graduate in their late teens/early 20s. The MC and Aeran are around 12-14 in the Prologue.
5. They're all difficult to master. The vast majority of the population don't have a grip on the full extent of their abilities because they don't have the training. Not every person who can run can run a marathon.
Of the six spheres, Dispersion is the least understood. Most practical research is focused on teleportation. There are a subset of people who can use it to see briefly into the future (augurs - you can meet one in Episode 2), but the applications aren't thoroughly researched. Similarly, there are aspects of Illumination magic that go unresearched and unexplored. The sphere deals in illusion and perception magic and the predominant focus on the crafting of illusions and manipulating the vision of others. However, manipulating emotions falls into the sphere's domain. Most lightseekers stay away from this aspect of their magic because it is frowned upon culturally outside of specific professionals.
Beyond that, combinations of different spheres for Dual and Triple attunement are even more difficult to master as there are very few people with this level of inherent magic and spheres interact in unexpected ways when you have access to more than one.
6. No, they aren't. The Corsida Brightblades (the largest contingent of bloodbinders in the world) are based in Corsida, a former Lotharic city-state now under Imperial rule. It is located on an island in the Lotharic Sea and very close to Maira, a melusine city below the waves. Many of their members are melusine as a result.
As a side note, Iaera is being re-worked. I'm not sure if they will be a character in Wayfarer.
7. The Wayfarer is going to receive far more shit for being a Wayfarer than where they are from. Child of the Wilds does get some minor flavour text in regards to their accent (since Artanis is considered a backwoods Imperial province), but I wouldn't go so far as to call it discriminatory.
8. I've answered something similar to this before - what gives you the impression that most of the characters are religious? As I said in the previous ask many characters may be culturally religious and participate in religious events, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they believe in gods. Belief and faith lands in many different places across the board.
9. Possibly, possibly not. But a named character who has been introduced is trying to find one.
