Video: Wendell Berry reads his poem "The Peace of Wild Things"
In this animation by Charlotte Ager and Katy Wang, the poet and novelist Wendell Berry narrates his poem The Peace of Wild Things, a Walden-esque ode to the wisdom, calming influence, and restorative qualities of the natural world. The written piece was first published in Openings: Poems (1968):
When despair for the world grows in meand I wake in the night at the least soundin fear of what my…

Compulsory Question 2:
Restate artistic vision statement
(Ager, "Yumi")
I have reviewed the artistic vision I previously established, striving to accurately outline life with simple lines, just like the style of my favorite artist Charlotte Ager. In class I mentioned in my artistic vision that my favorite illustrator is Charlotte Ager, who is a master at recording what she sees and hears in life. The picture above is one of her works. She excels in depicting landscapes with fresh colors, soft brushstrokes, simple compositions, and smooth lines. To me, Charlotte is truly an icon to follow. Therefore, in 5 years’ time, I wish I can paint delicate and innovative works with simple and smooth techniques just like her, and highlight different colors and compositions from my own unique perspective.
Influenced by Charlotte Ager's creative style, I began to focus on color capture and the simplicity and smoothness of lines. At the same time, those works closely related to life caught my attention. Just as this selected photo was a very captivating work for me during my Week 05 visit to the National Gallery . It is a simple life sculpture called commerce, represented by lines and surfaces. This work cleverly combines objects that are easy to find in daily life, and uses relatively simple lines and composition to create an exceptionally exquisite picture. Through simple shaping, one can intuitively feel the true meaning to be expressed. This is a very complex and truly in line with my wishes, and from a unique perspective, it combines daily and cultural items easily and smoothly.
On the other hand, this is also a good example to illustrate the connection between art practice and society covered by CTS B. This work is called ‘Commerce’ and once decorated the Central Commercial Building in Singapore. At the same time, it echoed the four pillar industries of Singapore at that time, namely agriculture, shipping, construction, and electricity. Perfectly presented through sculpture, using modern design forms and techniques, it represents the social situation at that time.
Through critical thinking and synthesis, I realize what I need to do is to keep in touch with the world and society, in order to be inspired by every moment of life. Only by connecting with people and experiencing daily life, we can create artworks with a soul.(Hertzmann, “Can computers create art?”) Any painting without a soul is no different from a meal without any ingredients, plain and yucky. In my spare time, I will keep travelling to different places and learning different cultures and lifestyles in order to enrich my artistic vision. (422 words)

literally just stumbled upon this blog but i'm putting little!ted into a display case and taking care of him forever
these are sad but:
ted regressing alone in his apartment and crying it out till the stress is gone
trying to keep it together when he's at work and never ever letting people know he regresses
it stemming from the stress of losing jenny and what i firmly believe is timely shenanigans that make him feel his impending doom approaching whenever
and to counterbalance the sad:
ted accidentally regressing in the office and bill, charlotte, and paul find him and help him out
paul helps out immediately because he knows what meltdowns are like and relates to that loss of control
charlotte who never had kids immediately latching on to this side of ted and mothering him even when he is big (ted would die before he told her but he loves it)
bill teasing ted about it and comparing him to alice, but secretly melting because this man is a father and loves all children
anyway i'm never going to stop thinking about agere hatchetfield now thank you sincerely for this
Crying on the floor sliently with some of these
