Heathrow Airport giving away defibrillators to local community

Heathrow Airport is giving away defibrillators to local community groups, charities and small organisations around the airport. Did some art of some critters from an underrated thing

These two, Bargest(lower) and Dandelion(higher) have been long time favorites of mine. They're definitely somewhere in my top 10. Although my number 1 favorite monster from Monster Rancher is Momo, which is unexpected compared to the usual style of creature I like (It's a very very cute ultra-adorable squirrel thingy). But also totally expected for me at the same time because it's rarely loved in the communitygroup of like 40 people who remember Monster Rancher and for some reason I'm often drawn to characters that are extra unpopular. I just have unordinary tastes ig. I should draw it sometime

January 2023 Sew days - Recap

On Saturday we kicked off with Show & Tell - Pics are available on our socials - Insta and Facebook.

Talk about kicking the year off with a bang - lovely to see so many members for our first sew days for the year.

We had our first weekday sew session on Friday...  7 members sewing up a storm - we got into it and everyone had some wins for the day which was fantastic.  

We were nominated for Community Group of the Year with Wollongong City Council - 2023 Australia Day Awards.  Rachael Latham attended the Australia Day Wollongong Awards Presentation on behalf of the group to celebrate the achievements of our great community spirited locals.  The recipient/winner of the category was the Wollongong Homeless Hub and Housing Services - who provide an awesome amount of local support to those most vulnerable in our community.   Rachael was super proud to be there on our behalf and was in awe of the number and breadth of community programs happening in our local area.  Well done to everyone involved in the nomination and the efforts from all who participated in the Bushfire quilt project and thanks to Rachael for representing us at this presentation.
