Jordan-William Hughes's 'Project Ascensio' Space Elevator 

The concept is for an asteroid in geostationary orbit to serve as the counterweight for this spaceport. The elevator will be connected to the ocean through a robust tether that will transport it from the asteroid to Earth.

Drones will be able to go up and down the tether and be able to transport both cargo and people. The idea is for the space station to be more than 26,000 kilometers above Earth and then the spaceport here on our planet to be at sea-level.

Mark this down as one of the yugioh lines that I was not expecting to tear me open and chew on my brain. THIS IS IT. This is the line that summarizes everything about their dynamic, while also gently affirming a lot of my personal values and the message of these shows. Yeah, Yusaku and Ai might not get along all the time. Yeah, they might be a little unhealthy and not communicate very well. Yeah, they might not even make sense together. But they both chose. For the simple reason that they like eachothers company. And everyone is asking them why and clamoring for their opinions on a war they want no part in, when this is the only thing they've stated wanting. The chance to both choose the other.

Yusaku states it so simply, like the fact it is, and offers no more explanation. It's not anyone's business as to the why, the only people this matters to is Ai and Yusaku, and they're both on the same page. As a queer person in a nontraditional relationship, this surety with no elaboration is like a balm. I am constantly getting asked why, getting asked to define, am bombarded by an attempt to understand. And even when it comes from a place of compassion, that sort of constant invasiveness grates.

Yusaku says screw that, all that matters is that him and Ai chose. And everyone who wants an explanation can heck right off.

So, my children were challenging me to name Pokemon today and as I was doing my best (their standards are very high!!), my husband blurts out "Ambassador Seaweed." After I got done laughing so hard that I fell over, he then hits me with "So...when he says his own name, is it Byakuya doing a funny voice, or does he just say it in Byakuya's regular voice?" I replied that of course it's in Byakuya's regular voice, Byakuya would never do a funny voice.

Now, in the Halloween episode, Wakame Ambassador is very much played by Byakuya's voice actor, but they're also Doing A Bit based on the Renji-Byakuya fight. Then I remembered that the Ambassador also appears in BBS, and based on this video, he does very much just seem to just have Byakuya's voice.

This is honestly so upsetting.

talk to me about profound, formative events in adulthood impacting people's settled daemons. are their shapes set in stone? would a strong enough experience manage to cause a crack in their settled shape? is there such a thing as daemon dysphoria? do our daemons define us, or do we define them?
