Explaining my ‘Coven heads adopt Hunter AU’

So basically in an AU where Luz never came to the isles, but everything goes smoothingly, just without her??

I mean Willow and Amity might take longer to reconcile, but they will eventually.

Things might take a bit longer, but I imagine that Phillip will have figured things out by himself just a month or two later without her.

So basically, the au starts on the DOU, Hunter has defected at this point, but instead of it being the Hexsquad who run to the human realm, it’s the coven heads.

They have to adapt to life in the human realm, get over there fued, and maybe even develop a bit of a found family bond. Adrain even manages to get a job.

Back in the Demon realm Hunter, who was close with Gus and Willow, had taken refuge at ‘New Hexside’ occasionally thought about the coven heads, and wondered what had come about of them. He has a lot of mental trauma to process, and isn’t doing so good.

Belos, who followed the Coven heads into the human realm, eventually possessed Raine, who was able to fight him off, and ended up with the tear scar things we see in WaD.

They open the portal, get back home, and now have a crusty child abuser and little starbrat to face.

Hunter, needing to clear his head, goes on a walk, and gets attacked and possessed by Belos.

Belos takes Hunter the castle and tried to manipulate The Collector, but when the two get separated, Hunter finds a large body of water and tried to drown him out, and Belos separated from him, and Hunter tried to chase after him, but he was exhausted, and fighting down a massive panic attack. Belos ends up connecting himself to the Titans heart.

The coven heads find the collector, and after being tortured for a bit they manage to try and connect with him, and then go to try and defeat Belos.

They find Hunter in similar circumstances to the way they found Raine, and after a quick reunion with a child whose kind of frightened of them, they end up trying to defeat Belos.

And then Hunter, the child they were starting to grow just a little fond of and realised they’d greatly wronged over his short life, dies trying to save the collector.

Where he meets the golden guards and Papa Titan, gets a hug, some reassurance, and also some badass Titan powers.

So then- Belos is dead, Hunters got some serious trauma that he needs to talk about, The coven heads have managed to aquire a child, The Collector is back in the stars, and everyone is happy.

Since APPARENTLY I didn't realize this was a thing until today, here's a quick Dadrius Week 2022 day 1! The prompt was shopping, and I couldn't help but think of this scene from my Adoption AU xD @sergeantsporks

Long story short, Hunter needed a new fit, and no kid of Darius is going to be walking around in unfashionable clothes. And of course, Darius didn't trust a single other character to get him anything proper. Gus did not realize what he was signing up for when he offered to hang out with the Abomination Coven Head to keep him undercover... :/

That art where Caleb fell into the time pools I wonder how Caleb and hunter would interact

The Sad Answer: I think it might be kind of upsetting for Hunter because Caleb raised his former guardian and is the source of Hunter's identity problems from Belos. Caleb is trying his best to salvage it but he knows something bad happened. The Happy Answer: I think Hunter would ask about Flapjack and they'd be able to bond over him and his impact on their lives. Meeting Caleb would just prove that they're very different people and it could make Hunter feel more secure in his identity. Also, Caleb would love Darius + Eber and be happy that Hunter found people who love him. I think in a different AU they could be very close, have a dad/kid relationship, but Hunter's a 19 year old already who's been living with his adopted family for three years, Caleb's heading back to his daughter, and I feel that for the most part, Hunter's done with talking about Philip or the past. It would be nice to see that Caleb wasn't perfect either, and that the standard Hunter was held to has nothing to do with either of them.

More Amity as Lilith's Child AU questions. (I think about this a normal amount) Sorry for bombarding with so many questions.

What last name is Amity using? I presume Clawthorne instead of Blight given her real parentage is meant to be a secret. If so I can imagine the Belos situation being even worse given who she has superficial similarities to.

Given Amity is over at The Owl House more as a kid what's her view on Hooty like? Does Lilith end up befriending him earlier as well?

At St Epiderm does Amity have any friends there? Does she still end up going there after moving into The Owl House (St Epiderm is expensive and money was pretty right after everything went down)and if not does she end up missing those friends?

You said Amity knew she was adopted, how much does she know about her birth family? How does the reunion with the twins go?

How does Amity react to finding out the truth about Lilith cursing Eda and then sharing the curse?

Of course a Lumity based question now. When does Amity begin to start catching feelings in this AU and how does that end up once she moves into The Owl House for season two? (Much blushing I presume)

Lilith (begrudgingly) tolerates Hooty up until S2. I mean, he DID beat her up multiple times (given it was out of self defense.) So ya know

As for her last name, she is indeed using Clawthorne! Which did piss off Belos quite a bit. He knows about Amity's real parents though, and looms that over Lilith's head whenever he wants something done.

And yes, she eventually does transfer to Hexside:).

Her St. Epiderm life is pretty boring, she has ONE friend. Hexside was much better for her social skills.

Her reunion with the twins happen in Labyrinth runners! She eventually introduces herself as their presumed dead sister and Edric and Emira smile and just go "We know. We we're waiting for you to tell us yourself." Bc, c'mon. They're not stupid enough to not notice how similar she looked to Odalia and Alador. As far as she's concerned, she isn't really sure if she actually wants to KNOW about Alador and Odalia, because she knows Lilith and Darius always talked bad about them.

There was moment, when she was 6, where she met up with Odalia (without Odalia knowing who she was.) And she came back running to Lilith and asking if she would take her back because she doesn't like her real family. Lilith's heart breaks for her.

As for the curse? Well, Lilith and Amity's relationship SEVERELY deteriorated after S1, which only made Amity feel worse bc she already had a fallout with Hunter.

And finally, she catches feelings early on while pretending to be rivals! Luz actually asked her to be her (totally platonic) partner for Grom since she was chosen as Grom Queen, and Amity ends up saving her, which ultimately led to her accepting her feelings. Luz starts to reciprocate soon afterwards, since they started sharing the same space.

Dc x TOH Idea

Okay I like Adopted Damian aus where Taila gave him up for adoption to keep him away from Ra's and Bruce but why would she put him up for adoption in Gotham of all places where Bruce has a chance of finding out about him and where there is a high likely hood of him being indoctrinated into a gang or generally just fall into a life of crime and no sane mother would want that for their child.

So basically what I'm saying is that Taila left him in an orphanage in a small town called Gravesflied, a town with a history of witch hunting and several paranormal sighting over the years a place where no one would think to look for him, where he is eventually adopted by the Nocedas.

Years later when he and his adopted his sister, Luz, are being sent to a summer camp they follow an owl that stole Luz's book (and probably something of Damian's too) through a magical door into a place called the Boiling Isles.

Bonus points if this is also an au where Hunter also grew up in the human world thanks to Darius or somebody stealing him away from Belos and hiding him in the human realm. And for Bruce to have a crisis upon finding out about his bio son and then said son being able to do magic along side his adopted sister and brother.

The whole Goldric stepbrother's thing makes me so annoyed.

I feel like people really miss the point of a found family when they assign everyone into these stereotypical roles that family is supposed to be: Parents and children, when it can be a lot more nuanced.

I am an enjoyer of Aladarius and I do like Dadrius too, and yes, in some au´s, Edric and Hunter are step-brothers. Just like in some au´s, Luz and Hunter are siblings.

But as enjoyable as the headcanons are, they aren´t canon. Trust me, I love the Noceda siblings as much as the next guys, but a the end of the day, it can´t be used as an excuse as to why you can´t ship Lunter, regardless of how much you may dislike the ship. It could be in an au where only Darius adopts Hunter, and Camila plays no part in it.

The same can be said about Goldric. Alador and Darius didn't canonically get together and Darius didn't canonically adopt Hunter. And even if they had, there is nothing suggesting Alador would have taken any part in adopting Hunter too. It's understandably fun headcanons but it's dumb to shame people for what they enjoy because you personally subscribe to them.

I think people just need to come to terms with the fact that people will enjoy ships that you´ll dislike, and you shouldn´t be scrambling for some moral justification as to why they shouldn´t be allowed to do so. Just leave them be, block the tag if possible, and continue your own fandom experience in peace.

#Do not even try to bring up the Your Family Now scene as evidence that Luz and Hunter are siblings because that defeats the purpose #of a nuanced found family entirely. #Like I'm a Camila and Darius share custody typa guy and a big Noceda siblings and Lumity a enjoyer but I'm still allowed to enjoy Goldric #and Lunter when taking them out of that context. Also I want to have Luz finish her high school stuff  at Hexside and not go back to her old school 

I had this idea for a plot. I wanted to have Del perhaps organize a big project to lower the age limit on Palisman at Hexside to maybe a minimum grade of 4th with some exceptions depending and perhaps have another Palisman receiving day. King and rest of his classmates and other students without palismen yet can get theirs 

Like Del can host one with the collaboration of Eda, Gwen, the Bat Queen and Principal Bump. And maybe have Hunter and possibly anyone else once we get to that will be volunteers or something

And the adoption is is open to grades 4-12.

The 4 and 5th graders and all the middle schoolers can get theirs. And to be high schoolers who didn’t get theirs yet can finally get one

Maybe that’s when Hunter finally gets Waffles or something. Though does Waffle already exist or will you introduce her later in the RP?

Also does Matt have a palismen already or will his palisman be introduced in the rp? Also have you heard of Matt’s headcanoned palisman Garth?

(I wanna do a plot or some sort of Darius plot with him, Eberwolf, Steve, and Raine and potentially others working on a murder mystery in the RP as well and perhaps have some sort of trial

I want Cat (the healing girl with the glasses who’s in Boscha’s friend group) to have younger twin siblings who’s around Kings age. Their mother is framed and accused for a crime that she didn’t commit and the three are framed and accused as accomplices

This is related to something called the Dynasty Wars

The wealthy families of the boiling isles compete against each other of who makes the most contributions to the Day of Unity and who gets the biggest rewards from Belos. This causes them to get drastic measures to get on top

It’s a tactic that Belos created and used in order to make his job easier and have less witches to eliminate because witches will be eliminating each other through their feuds

I also wanna have boss fights at Hexside. Like similar to Labyrinth runners but with Luz and other characters included

I want to have all of Hexaide and their parents to fight off against each covenhead and their army of covenscouts to fight them off to keep them from getting branded 

One day they’ll take on Adrian, another day Terra, then Mason, Hettie, Vitimir, Osran…and keep taking them on until all the covenheads are defeated and then there’s this final one with Kikimora and all the covenheads along with the biggest covenscout army yet

they ran into Luz and Hunter seperately and had Coven Scouts show up at their door a few days later, delivering two mentorship offers from the Plant and Illusion Coven

aside from their usual lessons they usually shadow Hunter along with Luz to prepare for future Coven duties

Amity

still gets mentored by Lilith, though mostly in the workings of the Emperor's Coven

her Abomination & combat training gets handled by Darius

Phillip/Emperor Belos

takes one descendant from every Clawthorne-Wittebane generation as an apprentice, which turned into generations of Golden Guards serving him through his rise to power

compensates his own lack of children by adopting every teenager in sight, regardless of whether or not they already have parents

shared the curse with Eda after Belos' let it slip that that's possible

still keeps trying to recruit her sister because she would love to work with her sister again, instead of against her

slightly less annoyed by Hunter, actually takes the time to nerd out with him and Luz

loves teaching Amity, basically shares custody over her with Darius (bc f her parents)

Eda

low-level criminal (since wild magic isn't outright banned)

mostly annoys Coven Scouts, her sister and Phillip

ordered to train Luz since her ending up on the Isles is mainly her fault (she quickly grows on her)

she wouldn't have to follow the order but she loves the opportunity to corrupt her many-times-great uncle's ward

How about a Dadrius au (or maybe it’s canon you never know) where Darius gets disgusted with everyone and everything.

Except Hunter

Once upon a time Hunter would have brought him the same disgust anyone else would have, whether he was coughing without his elbow to his mouth, or he peed on the floor as a toddler.

But eventually Hunter becomes his kid, and anyone else could even sneeze and he’s gagging, but Hunter could vomit all over himself and Darius simply doesn’t care

Honestly, sort of canon.

Darius strikes me as the kind of person who genuinely has an awful time with stuff like that, so it might seem to people like he's being dramatic but he really can't stand it, and others might think that he's being exaggerated but if someone is going to protect his peace of mind and peace in general, it's going to be himself, that's fine.

He's deep down very much a softie though, and his levels of tolerance do waver a bit when it comes to his loved ones; does he snap and grumble at Eber for leaving mud all over his clothes and sitting on his couch when there are sticks and leaves stuck on his fur? He does. Does he actually get that angry at them or tells them to not come back? Absolutely not. Eber is an eternal annoyance and also his sibling, so for better or for worse, he's tolerating that and only sighing heavily about it instead of acting genuinelly callous about it.

Getting Hunter as a baby is... sure an adjustment. I'm imagining he would have gotten him in some pressing circumstances, like one of those "oh, I cannot leave this kid with someone like Belos" scenarios, so he kinda didn't have other options and he couldn't exactly give up for adoption the Emperor's kidnapped nephew, could he? So he reluctantly had to care for him and while he got endeared to him quite fast, he simply wasn't a fan of the more messy aspects of parenthood.

He endured though because what else was he supposed to do? Eber helped him out, of course, but it wasn't fair to ask them to do all the messy stuff and Darius isn't a jerk like that anyway.

It's either his dad™️ pink-tinted glasses or that he simply got used to it because of how much he had to deal with it but eventually he managed to take proper care of Hunter without feeling like he was genuinely going to die a little bit having to clean up messes. Especially because he probably tried to get the job done from afar via abominations at first but Hunter was a little kid, he cried having his parent that far away when he was uncomfortable, and Darius isn't heartless, he couldn't just not get closer to soothe him.

The price of having a kid that you started to adore against your will.

When people see him being completely normal in public even when Hunter accidentally sneezes over him or something, they think Darius is awfully rude because they saw him recoil from someone coughing like two minutes ago, he's just being a bit of an asshole on purpose, isn't he? Darius doesn't care that much though, he doesn't have to explain himself to anyone and if he doesn't mind his kid and his kid only having that kind of natural body reactions that are otherwise VERY gross, then that's his own business, they all can busy themselves with their own affairs while Darius gets a handkerchief to meticulously help his kid clean his face of snot.

Thing is I don’t mind Huntric, but only when it’s in an au where Darius didn’t adopt Hunter. Since it’s implied Darius and Alador got together and that would basically make Edric his brother? Just rubs me the wrong way tbh.

TOH Actor Au

So, this is an Au idea that I’ve had for a while now where everyone in Toh are just actors playing a part. 

The ships are Lumity, Rieda, Goldric, Vinera, Skarlow, Gustholomule, Veesha, and Darius x Alador.

I like to think that Amity, Edric and Emira are actually sibling and that Edric and Emira are actual twins(or maybe Emira is actually a year older than Edric, but they look so similar to each other that they pass for twins). I also like to think that Odalia is their actual mom however Odalia is a way better mom to the twins and Amity than her acting counterpart. Also, Odalia and the twins all have brown hair like Amity, but they had their hairs dyed, along with Amity.

Personally, I imagine that Alador isn’t their biological father and is just a really good family friend along with Darius (who is his actual husband), so the kids see them as a second family to them due to how long they’ve known them. Though the girl who plays younger Amity is actually Alador’s daughter who Odalia does babysit from time to time. 

Amity goes to school with Luz, Willow, Skara and Boscha. She is actually friends with all of them along with Hunter, Gus, Matt, Viney and Bria. 

Willow and Amity are also next-door neighbors. Btw Younger Willow is actually Willow’s cousin, but some people have mistaken her from being Willow’s sister because of how alike they look. Also, the scene where younger Willow in the mindscape runs into something on accident was not in script but it was so cute that the directors had to put it in the final cut.

Raine and Eda are actually married, and Eda actually has a prosthetic hand that is the one that got dislocated when she was first interduce and is the same hand that she lost during the Day of Unity episode.

Luz and Vee are siblings, twins in fact which is why when Vee was interduce, she looked so much like Luz and that her new hair is a wing. Hunter is their adopted older brother. I like to think that if there is a scene where Camila(who is Luz’s and Vee’s biological mom while she’s Hunter’s adopted mom) is adopting Hunter as a part of their family onset, they would be all crying because that scene would remind their family of when Hunter actually got adopted into the family off screen. I like to think that Luz and Amity started having crushes on each other while they were acting with each other so the week before the Lumity confession scene, Luz had asked Amity to be her girlfriend and Amity had said yes. The younger Luzs in the video aren’t related to Luz at all but you would mistake them for being her sisters if you saw them standing beside her. 

Vee, Masha, and the other friends that her character makes while at camp are all friends, even though they all go to different schools. Vee has a massive crush on Masha, but the other hasn’t caught on to Vee’s feelings yet but their other two friends have.

Hunter was homeschooled for his middle school years but started goes to high school during his freshmen year with Edric and Emira. Viney goes to a different school, but she hangs out with them all the time. Emira and Viney tease Hunter and Edric for their very obvious crush on each other. 

Viney and Jimbo are childhood friends and go to the same school. They get mistaken for siblings all the time, but they don’t mind as they’ve pretty much accepted each other as siblings since they’ve been friends for so long. Jimbo helped Viney confess her feelings to Emira offset. He also is friends with Skara and is her go-to person when she needs someone to talk to about her crush on Willow.

Matt and Steve are half-siblings and, unlike my headcanon, have a good relationship with their mom and dad(well stepdad in Steve’s case but Steve treats him like he is his biological father). Bria is their stepsister but she’s actually nicer to Matt than she is onset, even if she does have a habit of bossing him around due to being older than him. They’re also next-door neighbors with Gus and his dad who plays as Parry. Also, Matt and Gus go to the same middle school together and both have a crush on each other, but they haven’t said anything to each other yet. Onset Matt seems like a huge gremlin but outside of set, he’s actually really nice, though he is a little snippy at times. 

Also, you know how people have been saying that Matt and Hunter would hate each other if they were to meet? Well, I think it would be really funny if while Matt and Hunter’s acting counterparts seem like they would hate each other if they were to ever meet each other but in reality, they are actually friends who are both very snarky towards each other. Same with Willow and Boscha, where their acting counterparts seem to hate each other or dislike each other but outside of acting, they are actually really good friends who roast each other all the time. There would probably be so many deleted scenes where Willow is roasting Boscha after she says something mean.

It takes the makeup team hours to get Boscha ready due to her needing a colored wig, different colored skin tone, and a third eye prostatic on her forehead.

Hunter and Willow actually don’t have crushes on each other. However, Hunter is able to make himself blush by thinking about his actually crush. (Willow knows who his crush is and helps him by teasing him about it too which also makes Hunter’s cheeks go red really quick.)

Philip aka Belos is actually way nicer than his acting counterpart and the kid who plays the Collector is actually his nephew. Philip and Odalia will actually talk to the kids about not doing or saying any of the dumb or dangerous stuff that any of the characters do or say.

I just came across your au, wonderful btw.

I was just wondering if there is a post with an explanation? I think I have a good idea of what is going on, but I just wanted to make sure

My idea is that there are mc switches, Hunter-Luz, Belos-Eda, Darius-Camilla, Amity-Willow, as well as Hunter-Caleb

The thing I am most confused about is time skips, there seems to be something where Caleb and Philip are from their time but in present day Boiling Isles, are they both doing the canon belos method to stay alive until now or is there weird time magic going on?

Ona last thing was I saw a post about Caleb and Luz being related, is Luz a bio Clawthorne in this AU, and the Caleb/Evelyn thing happened before the time skip?

Now as for your questions: There is an explanation for them being so old, it's uh...Philip's fault, he made a deal with collector to keep caleb from being hurt again after the fight and it's resulted in both of them semi being immortal.

Yes, this has consequences on both of them and others within the au, especially given philip did this and never told caleb.

I got a few comics addressing it, it's an emotional roller-coaster.

As for the second, she's an adopted one more accurately, she and king are both adopted.

and yes, caleb and evelyn are, or were, a thing.

The au is part canon divergence au, and it starts diverging basically at the fight, when caleb doesn't die, so the wittebane origin is pretty much the same as canon....or at least my interpretation of it is.
