i’m gonna brazenly speak my truth here so don’t come for me >:( but! from what you’d consider to be “a typical footballer’s physique”, purely from that perspective, nagi’s legs are… not that impressive. his stagnant motivation has much improved ever since he committed to making a career out of soccer, but that doesn’t mean his slacker tendencies haven’t followed suit. don’t get me wrong, he still puts his all into every game so his legs are still very much capable of making your mouth water, but you won’t catch him sprinting up and down the field at full speed if he can help it. packed with lean muscle, his thighs are thick, calves well-defined with a few bold veins thinly zigzagging down the taut skin like a lightning strike on the occasion you happen to catch him after a particularly gruelling conditioning session. but compared to some of his teammates whose legs seem to be carved from iron, he’s a bit.. overshadowed.

it’s a fairly similar story with his arms. (i promise i’m not just talking shit lol i could NEVER my poor meow meow it’s gonna get so hot in a second i swear just bear with me!!!) again, it’s most definitely a drool-worthy sight. the stretch of his arms is long and sinewy, rolling with a set of generous biceps that flutter under the gentle scrap of your fingerpads and nails when he (totally intentionally) flexes the swell of muscle there. in his profession, he mostly uses his arms for balance and to create distance between himself and his opponents. buried in his private nook back home, he has a tendency to hold his phone above his head while playing mobile games — that blissfully only rarely come crashing down on his face — but his unrivalled favourite will, of course, always be enveloping you in his arms <3 

nagi’s not the most expressive person, but his subtle social cues become much easier to pick up on whenever he’s sleepy, which let’s be honest is almost always. he’s in dire need of a snuggle in those moments and not only loves, but craves being close to you physically, his face a canvas of huffy evidence of what a Big Deal this is to him if you learn to read the hidden hints (it’s a pursed, pouty frown nine times out of ten he ain’t slick lmfao). he kind of regards your presence as his “recharging station” what a cringe fail soggy loser man i adore him with my whole heart 🥹 his lanky limbs will snake around you with the security of a vine until you’re all cosy and wrapped up in each other, his hold bearing enough strength to not budge against any playful escape tactics you might attempt — at least not until he decides he’s had his fair share of quality snuggle time with you. 

nagi’s a practical man, however — the world doesn’t call him a lazy genius for nothing. for these, albeit lovely, purposes, he determined there’s absolutely no need to overexert himself by lifting weights to buff up his arms. he can get by just fine! there are definitely more jacked arms out there i’m sorry :(

but here’s the kicker. nagi’s tall. you could even say he’s huge — he’d tower over most people if he actually straightened his posture for once. so his muscle mass kind of stretches out a bit… unevenly throughout his body. he does have muscle mass though, plenty of it, actually, and he needs only to do one tiny little thing to remind you of it: lift his shirt up.

So before anybody starts, I’m not celebrating today because I’m bitter at people who are in love or a couple. I might have been, A LONG TIME AGO, when I started celebrating this day, but as I grew up, it became more of a luxurious and pampering habit, particularly once I realised, and gradually understood, just how beautiful love actually is. And then, when it became my time to experience it 🎊🎉🪄, yeah … LOVE IS A BEAUTIFUL THING. In fact, I actually love LOVE. I love watching people fall in love, I love just the feeling of love itself, you could even say that I love the thought of a love potential, just as much as I love the potential of a love thought … 😜.

But just like a beautiful rose, love can hurt, no matter how careful, unexpected/unseen thorns can still get you. Yet, you shouldn't hate the rose, right? “I gotta be more careful …” that should be the brains immediate reaction, but sometimes, the amygdala works real hard, with unpaid overtime, keeping us away from roses until we figure out how to better tackle them, and some other times, it just makes us give up on roses entirely, which is a shame but it is what it is sometimes, because roses are really so so so precious, no matter what your favourite flower might happen to be. My favourite flowers are Forget-me-nots, but I will never deny the charm of a rose and I’ve learned to not hate them through time, even when, or even though, I might be deadass afraid of them.

Falling in love is like deciding to take care of your own personal rose/s. You will naturally like many different flowers and will naturally nurture them, rightfully so. Yet, at the same time, there might come a time when you’ll desire to also cherish in having a rose. Some might want roses to boast at their beauty, some simply like a challenge, but all in all, for many, if they could only manage to take care of even just one singular rose, for as long as they possibly can, without it dying; they’d consider it a great achievement and I'd agree. Roses don’t smell like boo-boo, but without LEC (Love, Effort and Care) they are indeed hard to keep, and will quickly perish.

… So what does this have to do with Singles / Singles Awareness Day?! Bitch you are making me feel much worse than before! Like STFU FR. There is a reason why I watch Magic Mike XXL. I really don’t give two shits about the first magic Mike, like I don’t even remember it. Yet XXL ⚠️SPOILER ALERT⚠️ Has as a main plot the main character not ending with whom he thought was the love of his life, right from the start, and instead discovering the value of having a solid community and believing in one’s self ⚠️ END OF SPOILER ⚠️ helps me remind myself that if I am unable to find a rose to take care of, or if I am not ready to do so either, I should remember that I myself am a rose and I should treat myself as such; with love, effort and care.

So today isn't a day where I hate those who have found and are bravely keeping love. No. Today is a day where I think of what could be, mourn what could have been and remember that the me of now also deserves love in the form of macrons, expensive wine and a feel good movie. So if you are single, have been for a while, or always have been, try not to obsess over having that garden of roses. Take care of your flowers first, make sure they are healthy! I’ve neglected “my forget-me-nots” for a bit too long now, so I have some cathcin gup to do, and don’t forget you are a rose yourself; take good care of yourself, be kind to yourself; love yourself.

another clear ICK i have is when husk starts to immediately point out everyone's insecurities in "masquerade". DO WE NOT KNOW THE "SHOW DON'T TELL" PRINCIPLE? if you just SMACK it into our faces without bothering to SHOW it, but INSIST that "charlie solves everyone's problems except her own trust guys 100%%!!!!!!", THEN IT HAS NO POINT. words are MEANINGLESS without actions to prove it. you literally DESTROYED her entire character arc with a single sentence. in SOME cases, there's an exception to the show dont tell rule, BUT CLEARLY THIS ONE WAS UNCALLED FOR. its the FOURTH episode and you're already laying out to us their weaknesses? GODDAMIT HUSK I LOVE YOU BUT SHUT THE FUCK UP FOR ONCE. Y'ALL DEFEATED THE PURPOSE OF HER CHARACTER WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO EVOLVE AND BE EXPOSED TO US AS WE MOVE ALONG. THAT'S HOW YOU GET THE AUDIENCE HOOKED. THEY WANT TO KNOW MORE; WHY are they acting this way? HOW does this affect them on a psychological level? how do they cope with this and that but NOPE. we get it served on a silver platter and SHOVED down our throats in the first season (WHICH HAS A TOTAL AMOUNT OF EIGHT EPISODES. EIGHT. EPISODES).

oh, wait, we get some crumbs of her emotional vulnerabilities! apparently she has a bad relationship with her dad as we're PERSISTENTLY TOLD.

" Come place your fate in her inexperienced hands, as she tries to work through her daddy issues by fixing you!" WE'RE BARELY FIVE MINUTES IN THE FIRST EP. YOU'RE. JOKING.

and as we witnessed her in the pilot say "i think dad was right about me". thank godsmack for this heavenly sent, GORGEOUS scene that didn't spit into our faces everything instantly. (the fact that the pilot is 10000x times better than the show itself is my #1 reason.) another SEMI-good example (DUE TO THE FACT THAT HUSK GOES: "u got daddy issues or smt?!?!!?" HUSK YOU MOTHERFUCKING BITCH I SWEAR I WILL NEUTER YOU) is when charlie says: " No, we just have never been close. After he and mom split, he never really wanted to see me. He calls, sometimes, but only if he's bored or like needs me to do something." but thats about it.

and the worst thing?? we NEVER see lucifer ACTUALLY being a bad father. WHY IS HE EXCITED WHEN CHARLIE CALLS HIM EVEN THOUGH "HE ONLY CALLS WHEN HE'S BORED AND NEEDS ME TO DO SOMETHING??" DID YOU HIT YOUR HEAD AND FORGOT? HE WANTED TO SPEAK WITH CHARLIE? THAT JUST WIPES & INVALIDATES CHARLIE'S STATEMENTS AND MAKE HER LOOK LIKE A SPOILED ATTENTION-SEEKING WHINY BRAT. not to mention the: "this is the first time she's called you in years!" so is it lucifer neglecting charlie or is it charlie neglecting lucifer and being an abhorrent daughter? pick a lane?

"I told you when you called me five months ago, or did you not listen?" im SORRY? lucifer is literally SO desperate to see her yet.... he forgets when his daughter told him where tf she is which technically allowed him to visit her with NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER? WHAT IS THE ISSUE? DOES HE NOT KNOW HOW TO TRAVEL ON HIS OWN TO HER RESIDENCE?

aaand they solve their problems THE EXACT SAME EPISODE LUCIFER APPEARED FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER. we NEVER got to see him being a bad dad. if anything, he's just a bit close-minded at best THAT STILL TRIES TO CHANGE. this doesn't make him bad at ALL, it makes him look like he's "misunderstood" which, in turn, like i said before presented charlie as a crybaby that threw a hissy fit just bc she felt like it.

more than anything is beautiful, the vocals are fantastical, the soundtrack is heart-breaking, but. WHY SO SOON? why you couldn't do it before if it's so easy then? after that they act like there was never a rift between them ever in the first place. wow! good for you! soo i actually barely give a DAMN about this bc you didn't even give me enough time to digest everything that went down.

so... how can we improve charlie to make her likeable, enjoyable and interesting to watch?

what i have in mind is:

Charlie is a kind-hearted person who dislikes brute force and prefers to solve things through peaceful terms. why? because her entire life she has been isolated in her own home, therefore only ever interacted with her servants that treated her like she was made of glass, her parents, and razzle & dazzle- lucifer nd lilith were afraid that hell's harsh reality would make her cruel, so they never let her out on her own UNTIL she turned into an young adult. it also makes her socially inept, so she has a hard time understanding/reading others & their feelings; generally low empathy. so she treats sinners as simply misbehaved & misled children that didn't know any better, because she CAN'T fathom what else could it be. she imagines redemption to be easy; she has a very idealistic & abstract idea of it, which is something she picks up from her father who was also an oblivious dreamer like her once in his youth. she doesn't know how it works or what qualifies a sinner as "redeemed" (which can create VERY interesting conflicts & plot points). HOWEVER, she's ALSO perfectly aware that the majority of people in hell are irredeemable, that some people are just unfixable assholes after living on her own & interacting with REAL asses for twenty years. yet she still keeps hope that SOME of them may be GOOD, some of them are CAPABLE of change. why? because ever since she was a child, lilith taught her love towards her people. LILITH was the one that instilled the care & the need to protect she feels for demons, as bad as some of them are. not only that, but she knows that redemption is possible because she changed.

even if she was raised to be cheerful and bubbly by her parents, she was also HEAVILY spoiled, so when she reached puberty it went as well as you'd expect. she began to date seviathan who was an absolute DICK and enabled her mindset of "im the princess of HELL goddamit i can do whatever THE FUCK i want!!!!". of course, lilith & lucifer being the doting parents that they are, let it slide- lilith TRIED to explain to her that NO, being a princess didn't give her free pass to do everything she wanted, but in the end she conceded bc she just rlly fucking loves her kid and it never went beyond a few scoldings. and lucifer just... never cared. which basically... worsened charlie x2 times, being left unpunished for every shit she did. secretly trying out drugs that sev gave to her, treating her servants like they were nothing but dirt underneath her feet, being self-entilted as fuck and etc and etc. BUT!! sev & charlie DID like each other for real. there was no intentional abuse whatsoever, they were dumb teenagers that kinda exacerbated each other's horrible tendencies & had no damn idea how to communicate properly so sometimes it went like:

sev: shoves beer cmon lets try this charles you'll like it!!!! (no ill intention, only happy excited vibes of a curious teen boy that wanted to be cool like adults)

charlie: ummm idk i dont think we r allowed to do this ..

sev: DONT BE A PUSSY LETS DO THIS YOU'LL NEVER GET ANOTHER CHANCE !!!

charlie: welp okay! shrugs (gets drunk beyond belief together with sev)

what made her change?

well...

lucifer and lilith's divorce.

lucifer was the one that took custody of her at first. but as you can guess it was NOT great. lucifer fell into depression after losing his wife that he lived with for EONS, became neglectful, angry & started to drink to cope. seeing her dad change so drastically and start to treat her like SHIT (lashing out at her on several occassions due to inability to deal with his own emotions, distancing himself away from her), she finally got a reality-check. like... holy FUCK was she also like that??? people DIDN'T think that even breathing wrong in her direction would get them wiped off the face of earth? THERE WERE CONSEQUENCES FOR HER SPOILED DEMEANOR?

lucifer FINALLY paid attention to how much of a dickbag his daughter became, but he dealt with it horribly. instead of trying to help, explaining why it was wrong, he screamed at her bloody murder. he made snide remarks towards her ALL THE TIME... and at some point, he thought he recognized humanity in charlie. he gave them so much, yet they repay him with this?? it didn't help him with his abusive tendencies.

charlie broke down after they've had a huge fight again & BEGGED lilith to take custody of her instead. lilith accepted it NO HESITATION whatsoever, and comforted her. she reassured her that she wasn't a mistake, that she can become a better person and people were capable of improvement. so she did. she didn't see lucifer bc she became anxious of him, and he was so stuck in his self-deprecating thoughts (the cherry on top being that his own daughter abandoned him) he didn't visit her either. and, despite never being the embodiement of "evil" as everyone presumed him to be & truly regretting/being shameful of the things he did, he was also arrogant. so, even if subconsciously he felt guilt and self-hatred for being such a jerk, he kept convincing himself that it was all charlie's fault (he is the sin of pride for a reason)

charlie eventually broke up with sev, subsequently. they left off on an... okay note. then she gained something akin to depression and took time to recover from the freakshow that her life became. she turned into a merciful person who DESPISED fighting, arguements and everything (for obvious reasons).

once upon a time a day came that turned her life on it's head.

lilith disappeared. went to a "meeting" and never came back after that. no traces, no notes, no nothing.

charlie was HEARTBROKEN. she found out that her dad literally didn't do shit as a ruler of Hell this way; she was FLOODED with papers and meetings that her mother needed to do after a week of her disappearance. so, she took comfort in being a workaholic and surppressed her grief by solving Hell's problems days on end- (this is where she got her "fixing everyone's problems BUT her own" mentality) partially, the other reason for that was because she knew how much lilith cared for demonkind, so she couldn't fail her. now that she was alone, though, she had the ability to move out and live on her own. that's exactly what she did, she bought a shabby gigantic house (which soon became the hotel but we'll get to that part later.).

that was how she ended up witnessing an Extermination first time ever.

she was HORRIFIED beyond belief and was so fucking confused why would heaven do this? yes they were bad but murder couldn't be the only solution to their problems, could it?

lilith would hate to see her people being torn apart like that.

she spent days on end thinking of an alternative, something that would stop these inhumane purges, and that's how she came up with the idea of the hotel.

some years passed. she met valerie (vaggie; i changed her name bc jesus i know there's a reason (which honestly only WORSENS my distaste) behind it but its awful no matter what i cannot stomach it in any form), they fell in love. their relationship only furthened her determination to find out how to get sinners into heaven, because she knew that valerie deserved it 100%, and she couldn't be a singular exception, could she? valerie acted bitter and hostile towards her at the beginning when she took her in, because she was scared and distrustful as valerie had admitted, but softened and warmed up to charlie. so how much people out there were the same as valerie, scared and hurt & misled to a point they resorted to bad choices?

fun little ideas i thought abt this charlie's version:

just like in canon, she's very fascinated with humans, therefore sinners since they were one before their death. imagine charlie just... BOMBARDING valerie with questions when they first met. "do humans eat pork!?!?!? do some of them ACTUALLY not believe in hell/heaven?!?!? DISCRIMINATION BASED ON SKIN-COLOUR IS REAL?!?!?!? tellmetellmetellme" (valerie had a VERY hard time figuring out what to tell her if ykwim.)

2. her design and the canon design are vastly different. she is an ACTUAL doll that was brought to life by her parents (bc .... weren't sinners incapable of giving birth? so how did lilith....) and looks fucking unnerving as hell, literally a dead walking zombie. she tries to appear more innocent and friendly by changing/tweaking her looks to her best abilities, but in REALITY her TRUE form is the definition of antichrist and everything unholy. she's so insecure about it but valerie always reassures her <3

3. she has a tiny piece of each seven sins inside of her which get more difficult to control as she becomes more powerful, they really fcken stress her out and she thinks she's a freak for ever thinking of something like that, but she can't control her thoughts. she had a really bad crisis when she started to fall in love with valerie because her sins would just go WILD, but somehow managed it with her gf's support. and yes, charlie was the one to fall first. since; oh lord!! pretty woman!! that is kinda nice in comparison to everybody here!!! OH GOD IM NOT GONNA BE ALONE ANYMORE!!!!!!

4. girl has abandonment issues. it makes her into a sorta of a people-pleaser that would do anything to keep her loved ones with her. she does know boundaries, and she isn't a complete pushover, but... she's obviously anxious all the damn time, this also adds onto why she FLIPPED OUT when she found out valerie was an angel. first, DOES SHE NOT TRUST ME!?!??!?!? second, WILL SHE LEAVE ME FOR HEAVEN?!?!?!?!? she DID want to get valerie into heaven, but it seemed so far away that she kinda didn't think too much abt it + now that she knew that she was actually an ANGEL it made her fear so much more raw and realistic.

5. she's demisexual. because i wanted her to be, and it just makes sense okay?

thats it for my charlie rewrite. if anything else comes to mind, ill be sure to write it out. next up will either be valerie (vaggie) or lucifer! but for now thats it.

Least favourite character: This is petty but I'm gonna say the Council of Twelve. I just fucking hate British court politics as a plot device and I'm soured on them extra hard because I feel like whenever people want to give Tegs more challenges in fanfic they always default to this, which is fine, but it feels like EVERYONE does it and it always makes me question why tf Integra puts up with people who are depicted consistently as "wouldn't piss on her if she was on fire." I get why they're there, but they drive me nuts in fic. Penwood gets a pass though, he's funny. LAWL.

Least favourite ship: I don't harbor ill will towards many ships in general but personally Maxwell/Anderson kiiiiinda gives me the heebie jeebies

Reason why I watch it: I adore the use of BDSM as a serious narrative plot device, I find their depiction of vampires to be my absolute favorite in fiction for nailing the line between alluring and hot but unmistakably monstrous and scary, Nazi-vampires will always pique my interest for the sociopolitical commentary (esp given the antisemitic origins of the vampire), the surprisingly tender commentary on trauma and healing, the equally surprisingly apt commentary on antisemitism (Tubalcain ALHAMBRA, Y'ALL?), the art style, the glorious violence, the voice acting, the rule-of-cool attitude, the symbolism, fucking EVERYTHING dude.

Why I started watching it: Deadass I think I just thought Mister Man (Alucard) looked cool as a wee college girl aaaaand it immediately became part of my personality.

For me recently I’ve been eating up all the rivusa crumbs in the movies ESP magical adventure but since I have no irl outlet I’m just gonna say here that in secret of the lost kingdom the freaking cut scene from the Italian where the old white man tells riven that he needs to figure out whats his reason fighting and Musa just comes and links arms with him owns my heart AND THEN it links back to when they have their moment towards the end where he tells her she is what he’s fighting for😭😭 dude that kiss is engraved in my head for absolutely no reason I love it so much the animation was giving all it could have been giving at that moment😭😭 and also when Musa was giggling while riven was doing extra stuff with his hover bike just makes me so happy🥲

But then magical adventure ironically outsells the sotlk rivusa moments Bcs let me say when they meet in eraklyon and she runs and pushes up on his shoulders to kiss the side of his forehead😭😭 and his hand placement just gives me life and when they kiss (with so much tenderness that my heart is exploding) his hands deadass brushes over her ass😀😀😀 (the fact that the animators made an ACTIVE DECISION TO ANIMATE THAT TOO) it just helps with my hc that musas favourite place to hold riven is around his neck and his is around her waist (and lower ig🤷‍♀️ ) and they’re holding hands to wan to the ship too🥲🥲🥲 ALSO when riven ran up to musa on the ship to tell her “I always loved playing pirates” I MEAN COME ON THEY ARE SO CUTE and when they’re all kinda mourning over sky’s dad riven just puts his hands on her shoulders to comfort her and she later just reaches back to place her palm over his hand on her shoulder😭😭😭 URGH my heart can’t handle all these moments and then when the winx get back their powers she tackles him from the back and wraps her arms around his neck while she’s flying😭 and they just stay that way and look at each other when bloom and sky kiss lol🤪 and then when they need to fly back to the ship THEYRE THE LAST COUPLE TO SEPARATE AND HE JUST HOLDS HER HAND FOR AS MUCH AS HE CAN BEFORE SHE FLIES OFF😭😭😭 ok I think I’m done with my rivusa verbal diarrhoea I spent a whole 3 hours watching magical kingdom because I kept going back and slowing down the cute rivusa crumbs and analysing everything🤪 thank you for coming to my Ted talk about why rivusa have always been and will be the best

I love all the Rivusa kisses from the first kingdom, but the one where she was surprising him was so cute. Their so soft but I can't believe you needed the movie to tell u that Riven is handsy with his s/o /j like it was so obvious. I couldn't tell you who is worse between them tbh. Musa, as seen by her s1 outfit, is more attention getting, Riven is only subtle when you compare him to her. Musa is going to kill Riven with her outfits one day, and she's not gonna even be a little sorry because it was completely intentional

My hc is that Musa really likes just attaching herself to his arm. His arm is stuck being cuddled to her chest and he's not getting it back thank youuu. That hc is because the s2 finale party is literally everything I've ever needed in Winx, but I can definitely see where your coming from. Well if you want random asks... There's a character I just kinda think you'd be into. His name's Vicious and he's from Tales Of Crestoria. You unfortunately can't play it anymore because it was a mobile game that was taken down just under two years into its life because Bandai Namco are really weird and stupid about their phone games for some reason but there's an animated short and a manga so that's something I guess.

But Vicious: He's a criminal in a world where anyone who is perceived as guilty by the general public is branded with a stain of guilt. This dude has his stain of guilt on his stomach and proudly walks around in a shirt that shows off his midriff, not giving a single fuck. His hobbies include picking fights, causing mayhem and drinking booze. He's voiced by Yuma Uchida and wow his voice is hot. Also he has a demon form and that's always fun let's be honest.

And he's just so fucking funny. Like someone asks him why he would do something horrible and he just deadass responses "Cause I'm a bastard" like king, love the self awareness. Not to mention other lines like "Watch out for friendly fire: I get bored, I start shooting folks" and "Godspeed, you glorious idiot". And my personal favourite: A god called him a himbo. He's like a huge fucking mess but also the most useful member of the group at the same time. I love him and I miss him. I want my Chaos Himbo back, Bamco... I want him so bad.

ajskfklgh oh my god??? he sounds like such a fun character (also that character design 👀🥵) damn... I'll see if i can find anything abt that game maybe! (( hi to anyone who forgot they were following this DEADass blog!!

I've obviously not been on here, or on any RP blog at all, in forever. I'm gonna put this weird update(? more like a note to myself) under a cut, in case it gets kinda long... I might add updates to it later because there's alot I want to say. but I doubt anyone who would've been interested back when I was active, is still around (not to be negative! I don't expect them to be, I hope everyone I hung out with is living their best life!!) but I don't really know where else to collect my mess of thoughts on this character (I only sort of use twitter atm? and char limit lol), so for now, I'll post it here, and if I ever wanna link back to it, it's all neat and together...

if you've forgotten what this blog used to be since I changed URL and icons etc the last couple times it was active, it was Catboii, then before that SolicitorC. I have no idea if this character is actually dead, or if it is still out there somewhere, living it's best life (hopefully) maybe one day I'll tie up the loose ends, and finally set it free.... who knows

the reason I'm here, thinking about this character so fondly again, is I've actually been tentatively thinking about. writing things. again. I've been reading Homestuck fanfics again recently (i know right? in 2023?? what the shit) I doubt anyone who followed me on this blog knew me back on my other RP blogs, where I occasionally mentioned my fanfics (from 10 years ago aparently, mostly 2013 wow)..... most of which I'm embaressed about today so some I've orphaned, but the experience and practice was good in the long run

but the point is I've been thinking about writing something in my spare time (which I don't have much of, and I have multiple mental things that mean I have to re-read and correct and rearrange things I write like a million times. so far I've taken nearly 2 hours <now nearly 4 including eating and moving from upstairs to downstairs back upstairs...> to write and re-read this post, and I'm nowhere near done yet.... I'm gonna try to not be so anal about how this lays out because I've moved some paragraphs around and it sometimes doesn't make sense, but it literally doesn't matter! this is mostly just so I can look back on it in the future and be like, "oh yeah, I did that...")

I was thinking about trying to write some original fiction about one particular set of fantasy characters I have, and I like to remember the inspiration for their origins, so here we are.....

people who actually know me know I'm a HUGE slut for recycling characters. I have OCs who've been in literal hundreds of AUs, with either the same characters as always, or some different ones. and alot of my OCs, surprise surprise, started off as Tumblr RP muses.

I actually have a new version of this character, completely off tumblr or any other platform as of yet. although now he's completely diverged and I've created an entirely new timeline, new history, some actual lore of where he's come from and WHAT HE IS (finally) and how some of my other characters fit into the "universe". and I'll be honest, I did take some inspiration from some chatacters we met along the way. they have different names, I've changed their personalities somewhat, some are just loosely based off of the "concept" of a character we met, or the kind of relationship or interactions they had with my/other characters around,,, and they may not fit together with each other in this universe the way they did on Tumblr because they're not them, but the inspiration that I got from the interactions our characters had, had a big impact on the way this character has evetually turned out. I have BPD and "favourite people" reaches to more than just actual real life people for me, it reaches to characters, and I did have some "favourite muses" that really stuck with me, even if my muse wasn't a fan or they didn't really interact. there were also characters that my muse was really into, that I personally wasn't a fan of, but still mean alot to me and our progression

I obviously don't wanna just straight up plagierise someone else's character, and that wouldn't make sense anyway.... I can't copy someone else's character, and even if I COULD, they were probably fandom muses, which wouldn't work here in our new world. I can make up new characters, self indulge for the purposes of progressing my other character's stories... but that feels empty and pointless. these characters STILL hold a special place in my heart? and so some kind of weird tribute, without actually telling the person who made them, just makes sense to me I guess.... I wasn't gonna out mysef like this tbh, because to some people it might sound bad, I have alot of other characters who I've basically done the same thing with, took some loose inspiration from some OCs/fandom muses someone else made, and put some bits and pieces of them together in a completely different character of my own. I have a couple who are still mildly reminiscent of the originals, or are a very close paralell (with my own quirks), which I actually did get permission from the original creators to use and change... sometimes I think about actual TV or book characters who these smaller characters remind me of, and other RP blog characters or OCs, put bits of these characters together, then pick them apart, thinking about how they grew up, their family, friends, how that would've formed them as a person... frankensteining them together into some kind of guilt-free brain baby. this is essentially how you make characters, right? they're even initially inspired by real people, or real people's traits or personalities... then you squish them up and mould them into something else? it's not like I'm profiting off someone else's hard work and creativity... idk I don't really know how I feel about it.

for me, making characters is more than just "welp I need someone to be this guy's friend for a few chapters", they're a big part of the story, each one of my characters need to have some kind of background. even if that background is that we don't know anything about them for whatever reason.

anyway... back to the point I was getting to.

Tii, or Kiity, started off as... sort of a weird social experiment (at least that's what I'm calling it as a joke) on how out of character I can make a "normal" homestuck AU character, and not feel even the slightest bit bad about it. until I did.

the full timeline from when I was actually active is here but if you're not into long rambling explanations, here's, something..... (spoiler this turned into way longer than the timeline page, but this one has actual me in it, and my thoughts, rather than a sorta,,, emotionless list) if you DON'T wanna read the full timeline, but would like to read about my NEW character, I'll put this between these squigglies, and you can just skip it

homestuck stuff (so if you don't get HS then I'm sorry!): he started as just a normal post-game Sollux but he was god tier, didn't remember anything from the game or where his friends were, but couldn't die! fun! while he'd had the blog he got one of those pesky magin anons which turned him into a literal catboy, which he was actually really into bc people gave him alot of attention, so we made it permanent, there was some stuff with an Alternian uprising, human troll experimentation, he had his own lab, did experiments with parasites, especially brain worm type deals, I think this Sollux (I've had a few) didn't have Psionics? bc I'm a sucker for broken bois, it's been such a long time that I don't remember much myself. there was a phase with quadrant prostitution, hence the blog title "Solicitor". the first URL is where the nickname Lit came from. totally accidental but "it's Lit" was a great tag line. there was alot of memory loss in here, a universe's Signless manipulating Lit's memories to his own advantage... I have a terrible memory myself, and forgetting important things is a big fear of mine, so I thought I'd vent it out as a plot point, again, fun! it was also a handy plot ploint to let Lit forget muses who went inactive, rather than waiting around for them to return (since he was clingy but I'm realistic and have no problem if someone has a real life)

no more homestuck: there's a climax point where Lit was manipulated by a demonic creature called Kreed, which mostly happened off-blog. partially because I was too cringe thinking "lol demons" to actually go very far with it publicly. but in the end it worked out in my favour, because the story was getting REALLY DEPRESSING, and it was sorta going stale... this is where I dropped fandom and made Tii an OC, I was sort of feeling weird about the whole fandom thing since the character didn't feel like the actual canon character at all, with the memory loss and the manipulation. it was totally in character and it was story/character progression, but it didn't feel right calling it Sollux anymore, and honestly it was a little restricting.... it wasn't out of place though, because other people were making their fandom characters OCs around this time, rather than just starting up a whole new blog for the OC, having to get followers/interaction from scratch... you know, the grind.

there was a while at this point where Tii thought it was happy? but honestly no, it wasn't, and it was dragging me down a bit, which is why I kept dipping out, and I made a couple of ther blogs around this point. in general the blog experience was good, most of the interactions were great, but I'd put too much,,,,, brain? into emotions and the afterthoughts. I got too in my head, and in Tii's head, about the past. there were toxic muses that Tii dwelled on, and even if I tried to erase the memories, they would still pop up on it's dash and it would start a spiral, there would be posts on the vent blog regarding these people and Tii would be like "WHO DIS??" which was partially funny, but in the end exhausting.... it turned out, what I was *hoping* would be a superpower (forgetting traumatic events) turned out to be Tii's downfall.... I decided to go no-contact with my own character at some point. mostly I was just genuinely too busy, but I started to pop back on every now and again on mobile to see how things were going, say hi to a couple people, but eventually it would all start spiralling again, and it just wasn't enjoyable. I tried making another blog for an OC, which I don't think I even finished setting up before I decided I just didn't have the time or energy to start up.... but that's not Tii stuff, so nevermind that

today, Furui is a Nekomata (with some shapeshifting abilities), in a world where maybe 2% of the population is some kind of fantasy creature, living in hiding. most can blend in with general society, so humans think it's WAY less than that, although they know they're around...

I have a few "main characters", including Keisuke, who was a boy who grew up at the family temple/shrine (I'm not too familiar with Japanese culture, and I'm not about to pretend I am, so I forget which it is) where Furui lived back when he was an actual, literal cat. he frequented the site, even though his family told him not to go alone as the ghost of a black cat haunted it. it was actually just a Yokai. so much better... the Yokai grew quite fond of Keisuke, and hung around him, let him put a handmade collar on him so he could hear the tinkling bell when he was around. although Keisuke moved abroad to study when he was older, and when he returned after several years, the cat was gone. at some point, Furui, not understanding human language, so thinking Keisuke had just forgetten about him (even though he did try multiple times to say he was leaving,,, )and other humans pestering him and trying to chase him out, had gotten fed up, and turned into a malevolent spirit, burning down the temple/shrine, and killing several humans who'd tried to harm him

on a lighter note, fast farward a couple years, there's some goofy intro where Keisuke meets Furui in a human form, but he's an absolutely terrible human impersonator. they somehow end up being buddies and Keisuke teaches him how to person etc etc story things.

there are other main characters like Lyric the sweet but secretly manipulative Siren, or "Lyra" to humans. then there's Denali the reluctant Werewolf who I've actually toyed with being the protagonist. they have a complicated relationship where Lyric doesn't want Denali to be so self destructive (drinking and sleeping around), and doesnt actually know that he's a literal werewolf. because he won't tell her. he's worried she'll absolutely freak out about him getting hurt or hurting people... what he doesn't realise is she's just using him and has got him wrapped around her little finger, because she thinks he's just another stupid human. he, of course knows she's NOT a human, but think he's special, and she would NEVER use her powers on him.

Furui and Keisuke move abroad to [wherever I decide this takes place] where Lyric, Denali, and a bunch of other characters live. Furui quickly befriends Lyric because he can smell non-humans, being a cat and all, meets Denali and finds out he hasn't told Lyric his secret, so (as he's not a human, so doesn't have human values of trust and camaraderie, and is... not a nice person in general) threatens to out him if he doesn't play along with his games.. those games, being he's been the dark creature slowly picking off the werewolf packs roaming the streets killing people. one of those packs, being Denali's own. Furui takes great pleasure in making the guy choose between his relationship with Lyric, who he thinks he feels more than just platonically for, or his pack. this of course has alot of ways it could go, and I haven't fully decided.... but it's fun to theorise.

originally, Furui had a huge crush on Denali (which was gonna end in some kinda violent throwndown between him and Lyric), because in my mind he started out as this huge confident wolf boy, and who doesn't wanna fuck a werewolf, but as time's been going, he's been showing his vulnerabilities, and Furui will absolutely not be into anyone who is scared of anything, especially if it's not tangible... he's a ilteral spirit, he can't die or be killed. he toys with death on the daily, and I have a couple of quick little drabble scenes written up already (to get it out of my system) of him being absolutely annihilated, only to grotesquely and noisily pull his dislocated/broken limbs back into their sockets, and raise up from the ground gushing blood and bits of his insides all over the pavement.... you can't be second guessing your words in case you hurt someone's feelings around someone like that, if you want them to respect your physical prowess. on one hand, I like big confident scary Denali, but I also like confidence being a front, and secretly vulnerable doggo boi. it's a hard life.

anyway I'm just ranting now, and it's been.... like literally over 5 hours. I started writing this at half 4ish? and it's 10pm now. I feel better though, like I got something out of my system, and I got some of my story thoughts down, instead of just letting them swim around in my head then be forgotten.

My Thoughts on Castlevania S3

So I cant sleep, I've binged this series twice now & I really need to get this out. For context on me as a person, I am an LGBT+ WOC (specifically Asian & bisexual). Castlevania is my favourite game series + the reason why I pursued Game Design as my career. The show means the world to me & I thoroughly enjoyed s3 for the most part. I acknowledge the flaws & these r just MY opinions, they do not reflect the other mods intentionally in anyway.

The art + animation was so CLEAN. There was not one scene that did not take my breath away. The attention to detail was phenomenal I have no words to describe it.

Some of the best fight scenes ever just ridiculous, it's like john wick. The action is upped every installment + its just so CLEAN

The entire team puts so much time + effort Into making Sypha such an enjoyable badass it's so amazing. I am never disappointed with her, never ever.

The lesbians. Striga & Morana, god I wish that were me.

Isaacs character arc was so good. Like the budget really went to Sypha + Issac this season LOL

Sumi + Takka, they meant so much to me. I love them, I really do. I cant say I'm not hurt seeing them at the end. I'm actually very hurt, my heart aches. I never thought I'd get to see representation like that in a series that I loved but felt idk invisible to. LGBT Asians in a historical setting outside of Asia, it was just...a dream for me. I fell in love w/ them instantly & I think that's why I tend to over look their faults a lot.

But when you see yourself on screen in something you've dedicated years to & you're just finally seen its...its so hard. The last time I felt this full was Shiro from V*ltr*n and we know how that shit went down. Idk I'm happy for what I recieved, grateful even, for however short it was. A lot of my gripe is that all the rep I want & thirst for all falls into a negative category in some way/shape/form

This whole season feels more like a bridge to season 4. Kinda like a season full of fillers.

The ending hurts me I'm several ways, but objectively it is a haunting image and it really invokes so much on it's own w/o context backing it. W/ it tho, even more mindblowing and heartbreaking

this got a bit long so, under the cut!

ó: Is there any characters you feel could have been portrayed better?

Ok so like in terms of portrayals that are historically inaccurate in harmful ways or offensive stereotypes... I'm sure that stuff has been talked about to death and I'm not very knowledgeable about history OR modern asian political relations so i won't comment on it. The only thing I'll touch on is alfred being "found" by Arthur - and looking so much like him, wowie! what a coincidence!! - and it only bothers me personally because I've read a bit more about usa history than the average polish youth for a competition in hs.

However, staying away from historical/political incorrectness and speaking strictly of character writing? I guess there's a few things that irk me. Keep in mind that I've only read the tankobon volumes that came out in poland plus some scattered strips, so I'm not taking later strips/strips that weren't included in those volumes into account!

For one, even though I'm still fond of spamano, the canon portrayal of it (especially their early relationship) is pretty gross and I wish Antonio wasn't written as some lowkey sho.tacon joke... I've seen reimaginings where Lovi is at least a teen during spanish rule (or even older than Toni!) and those are really cool, but even if Lovi stayed child aged it still could have been handled better.

What else... I think Yao could have been given more of a distinct personality given that he's supposed to be one of the main cast? I don't hate his character or anything but I always found him a little bland in comparison with others from the main 8.

ü: Have you visited your favorite character’s actual country. Any pics? (Don’t have to do the pics part!!)

Ooh, fun!! At first I thought I'd have to say no, but then I realised that I DID visit some of my faves! I think going to Malbork (currently in poland) counts as visiting gilbert, and although I don't have any pics of it I do have this record of me saying "Malbork is nice, I thought about gilbert a lot" </3

My other fave is Lovino and I can now say I've been to southern Italy AND i have pics! my mom and i stayed in monopoli, venturing to various places around it. check out my pasty face before it got sunburnt to hell and back lol

my favourite was definitely matera which is a city where a LOT of people deadass lived in caves until, like, the 50s. most of those caves are freely accessible (though i'm not sure if going in there is allowed? but if it's not then that's very poorly communicated lol) i don't have good pics of the caves but the surrounding architecture was also really cool!

æ: Your favorite character and how they became such.

Speaking of favourites! Ever since I first got into hetalia I had cycled through favourite characters... I would get really into some character or other for a few weeks, then move on to another and so on. However, the two characters who have consistently been my favourites! Are gilbert and lovi! I couldn't tell you how they became such because it's literally been a decade - but i can try to psychoanalyse myself and try to figure out why those two appeal to me so much, haha.

for gil, i think it's so many things... I love cheeky bastard characters, I love characters who are really full of themselves and confident but with the actual skills to back it up! I love characters who enjoy power a bit too much, I have a weakness for albino anime boys and I love the contrast (intentional or not) of gilbert's medieval religious fervor with a physical appearance that would make him a prime candidate for demonisation in those times! And speaking of that, I also love a good old fashioned character with an unhealthy relationship to religion, even if it's not really explored outright in canon. I also used to ship him with erzsi BIG time, and I still consider pruhun somewhat of an honorary het ship.

for lovi, it's mostly the angst of it all... Himaruya really has a gift for sprinkling just enough pathos onto his otherwise comedic characters to suggest a hidden undercurrent of drama that an eager reader can easily read into and exploit. And i think lovi has some of the most explicitly stated angst out of the whole cast! his inferiority complex is plainly visible, stemming from feeling overshadowed both by feli and rome. But i like contrasting this and his childish behaviour with his fairly old age, his moments of genuine maturity and his past of formidable power! And again, I like ruminating on his relationship with religion, seeing as christianity is so closely linked with italian history and culture.

As promised I am making a proper post about it. Thank you all so much for following and supporting this blog!! I never could have expected it to get this many followers this quickly, or that so many people would enjoy my little AU, its amazing!! This post might be a bit of a long one but stick around because we are gonna vote on what to do to celebrate! I have a couple ideas on what we could do so here they are (im also going to do a get 2 know OP sorta thing but that comes l8r)

Season one watch party

I would set up some sort of virtual chatroom/watch party thing and we all get to hang out and binge watch season 1 (as much as we can get through)

if this is the option ill probably have to do a second poll for what program bc Netflix Party requires everyone 2 have Netflix, Kast means everyone has to have Kast, etc. 

Total Drama Commissions

So I like to think I've gotten decent at drawing in the style, I drew some of the photos in the posts as well as my own pfp so the idea is that I can draw whoever you want (yourself/OC/character) in the style for cheap. Deadass like 5 bucks idk. 

Ask box slumber party

for this one to work yall are gonna have to participate but basically, we would all hang out for the night in my ask box! ill answer questions all night as fast as i can as they come in! ill probably post a few question starters and stuff

Having this many people follow me in under 2 months is so fucking crazy. I never thought you all would be so excited about my little au, I made it for fun because I half rewatched the show with my sister and wanted them all to be friends, and I guess that's what you all wanted too! and then I realized there was sort’ve a fanbase and I was just amazed. This show is such a nostalgic show for me, it was one of the cartoons that my dad loved to watch with me and my siblings. (he's not dead I just realized how that sounds) I was probably 10 when they re-aired all three seasons on cable and we would get into it like it was a survivor and they were real people. I have 6 siblings, and all of us over the age of 10 were obsessed with this show at one point or another. 

They don't make cartoons like this anymore. (i say, sounding old as shit and actually not knowing bc I don't have cable) But this show and 6teen are my favourite shows to rewatch now that I'm not a kid because there's so much hilarious shit I missed as a kid. No wonder my dad liked the show alone with us lol. But yeah, none of this really matters to the whole 200 followers thing, but I'm just so excited to see that so many people like the show as much as I did and do now ya know? so yeah, thank you for being here? 

I really will try and keep up with this blog properly, it's just gonna be hard. As of right now, I have ELEVEN blogs, 5 of which I am actively creating content for, and I am starting a new job on Monday so that's gonna start eating my time. But that's why the queue is great! I try and fill it every few days, and ill do my best to keep that up (but bets are off when school starts back up, it'll probably have to be cut down to a few times a week)

Continuing from where the previous chapter left off..

- Shizu-chan and Mafuyu sit next to each other and talk. Shizu asks him if he wanted to talk about their (Given’s) debut.

- Mafuyu’s totally confused. He’s never thought about it so he asks Shizu when he started to think about their debut. (Shizuragi’s band i.e,)

- Apparently, Hiiragi told Shizu that he wanted to go pro and Shizu said “ah...is that so..”. So he just went along with it. Shizu intends to do anything that Hiiragi wants. [[ boy’s whipped ]]

- Mafuyu asks him if it’s because he loves Hiiragi. Shizu says that he’s different from Mafuyu and Yuki. He doesn’t really care about himself and if it’s for something he wants (Hiiragi) he can even throw away his life [[ hence the chapter preview ]]

- Mafuyu wants to know why he hasn’t already done something about it if he loves Hiiragi so much. Shizu says “because he loves Yuki, you see”.

[[ I DEADASS STOPPED FUNCTIONING FOR A MOMENT ]]

- Mafuyu’s mind goes blank at that and he goes “HUH?” [[ yeah, no kidding! ]]

- Shizu continues, saying Hiiragi admired Yuki (was devoted to him). He started a band with Yuki then continued even after Yuki’s passing, and that even from their (the 4 kids’) childhood days, their lives revolved around Yuki.

- Mafuyu, [[ still reeling from the shock ]] seems quite lost when he says “is that so?”

- Quite irritated, Shizu admits that he’s annoyed how everyone loves Yuki. He knows that he’s in for a drawn-out war and he’s okay with it. 

- They decide to go home. Shizu’s parting words to Mafuyu was that he should quit if he doesn’t have the resolve and the tenacity (obsession) to continue with the band and Uenoyama.

- Once he’s alone, Hiiragi's (dazzling and blinding) visage appears in his mind. [[ I think Shizu’s a foster child?? :( ]] 

- Until his meeting with Hiiragi, he’d only known a shitty world. To him, who was becoming jaded, Hiiragi was extraordinarily dazzling and he's been cherishing and loving him since. [[ awwww :) ]]

SHIZURAGI IS CANON...!!!  (They’re YET to “get together” tho)

Him saying he can throw away his life for Hiiragi.. he didn't mean he’d "die" for him, just that he's devoted his life to Hiiragi, so he'll do whatever for him.

"Hiiragi loves Yuki" His choice of words was misleading to say the least 0.0 OMFG?! fr, I thought he meant Hiiragi "love"d Yuki for real. Lol :D

I love that he warned Mafuyu against dragging his feet about Given’s debut and Uenoyama. Mafuyu is blunt WITH others, so it was oddly refreshing to see him on the receiving end (save the one time Akihiko interrogated him) I think I understand why he sought out Shizu. As not many people exist in Mafuyu's life who would be that honest with him.

Anyways, Shizu... What a character :D he has moved UP a few places on “my favourite characters” list.
