It’s cliche when you think about it. What are the chances that a good looking mechanic shows up minutes after your car breaks down? The same one you’ve had the pleasure of seeing at the local races? A man with icy eyes, a brooding stare, and offered you only a small smile when you helped him patch up his hand recently.
Everyone calls him Blue.
He calls you Kitten.
“Don’t tell me your car broke down,” Chris said once he rolled his truck window down.
“I won’t tell you then,” you smiled, holding up your phone. “I was getting ready to call someone.”
“Don’t bother. I’ll take a look,” he said, pulling over and parking before you could argue. The way he slammed the door when he got out, you almost wondered if it was an inconvenience to him. He was the one who offered to help though. “You can consider us even for my hand.”
“Helping you with your hand is part of my job,” you argued.
A small cut was an easy fix for you and spending a little time with him was admittedly nice. From what you knew about the man, he didn’t let too many close to him. Even some of the riders who were friendly with him were held at an arm’s length. But you still managed to get that small smile out of him by the end of it.
Jake even told you that Chris had a thing for you.
You didn't want to read into it.
“And this is my job,” he pointed out as he got closer. “Is it your job to give everyone kitten band aids?”
Don’t laugh. Don’t. Laugh.
“Only my special patients,” you teased, seeing his eyes flash at the amusement in your tone.
Why are the brooding ones always so handsome?
“And we’re not even, by the way. I’ll pay you for your time.”
“Oh, you will, Kitten,” he warned you. "I'll make sure of it."
That payment came in the form of you being bent over the hood of your car.
“Your pussy feels so fucking good,” he grunted, his beard scraping against your ear as he thrust. “Aching to be filled, aren’t you?”
You couldn’t ignore that there was an undeniable pull between the two of you, but you never expected yourself to spread your legs so easily for him. Especially pinned on top of your car where anyone could drive by and see you. You always had a thing for the bad boy type though and Chris fit the bill to a tee. Men like him made you feel daring.
You feared the high from the thrill he gave you would make you want more.
Too late.
“Should’ve buried my face in your cunt. Think you can cream all over my face, Kitten? I’ll settle for my cock for now.”
Your insides curled, pleasure threatening to burst from every seam. “Chris,” you whined, feeling his jeans brush against the back of your thighs as his hips met yours. “You can’t just say that.”
He chuckled as he gripped your chin and turned your face toward his. It wasn’t easy to kiss him with the angle, but he made it work. His tongue against yours felt right, just like his cock felt perfect in your warm, wet hole.
“Why not?” he asked as he broke the kiss, your hands gripping the hood for purchase as he thrust harder. “You’ll let me put my cock in you, but not my tongue? You don't want my beard to smell like you?"
You moaned when he snuck his hand around and brought his fingers to your clit. You would reprimand yourself later for letting him fuck you without a condom, but you knew he was clean. And you wanted him to make a mess of you. Being owned, even for a short time, was what your body needed.
“If you don’t get me off, you’ll never get a taste,” you threatened.
You didn't mean it. You weren't sure if this was a one time thing or not and you didn’t want to pressure him for anything else. The two of you hardly knew each other. Something was there though. Did he feel it?
If he keeps others far away from him, will he let me in?
He chuckled again, his fingers working your bundle of nerves in time with his thrusts.
“I know a greedy pussy when I feel it and my cock is just as greedy," he promised, your eyes rolling back as he brought you to the edge. "So fucking give it to me. Come.”
Your head dropped against the hood as you came with a cry, your knees shaking as you struggled to get air in your lungs. Sex like this shouldn’t have felt so intense. Maybe it was just how Chris made you feel.
“Fuck,” he groaned as his hips stilled, your insides warm as his cock throbbed in your quivering hole. Your release and his own seeped around his cock as he collapsed on your back. His heart pounded, the rhythm almost as fast as yours. “Fuck.”
He rested his face in the crook of your neck as his breathing began to even out. You weren’t too eager to move, although you should have since you were on the side of the road. But the way his arm gently wrapped around your waist, it seemed as if he wanted the afterglow to last longer, too. Who were you to deny him that after the earth shattering orgasm he gave you?
“Chris?” you asked, unsure of what to say exactly when he made no effort to pull out.
“Sorry,” he whispered, holding your waist tighter. “Just. Let me, please?”
You placed your hand over his, uncaring that your chest was still pressed against the hood. “Hold me as long as you want,” you whispered back.
A kiss to your neck was the only thanks he could give and you wouldn’t ask for more.
Not today.
Just don’t let me go, Chris.

"We shouldn't-" your voice wavered as Chris unzipped your denim shorts and pushed them down.
You already felt exposed in what he insisted you wear, but now he was depriving you even of the scraps that barely covered your body.
"We're undercover and- and-" you tried to reason with him, but your brain seemed unable to follow the reasonable thinking.
Definitely not with Chris getting down on his knees, kissing his way down your body as he did.
His breath was hot on your skin; big, calloused hands rough on your trembling body.
You braced your hands against the rickety bathroom counter, gaze flicking up to the door which Chris purposely left unlocked.
"Exactly," came his reply, voice dark and sweet as honeyed whiskey. "They should believe you're my good little slut. And in their eyes this is what sweet pieces are for."
He pulled your panties down and hoisted one of your legs over his shoulder.
"They get licked into a drippy mess in a cramped bathroom at a gang's house and then pumped full of cum."
His nostrils flared as Chris leaned to your already damp heat. You saw a smirk forming on his lips as he looked up at you, a dark gleam of satisfaction in his steely-blue eyes.
"So make sure they hear you moan, baby. And keep begging like a needy slut I know you are for me."

This is absolute chaos and I don't even know what's going on anymore. I just had to get it out! Hope you enjoy ❤️‍🩹 Bucky has lost a bet in a poker game with his neighbours, so this is his solution......

"I'm sorry birdie I lost a bet and I have to pay up" Bucky reasoned as he led you towards the elevator. He took hold of your throat as you waited by the doors, and squeezed. "You don't want me to lose face with my pals do you baby?" You whimpered as the bell dinged and the doors slide open, biting your lip, "no daddy." He grinned like a wolf and led you into the elevator.
He pulled out some fluffy pink handcuffs and clipped you, naked, to the handrail. It suddenly occured to you that anyone could get onto this lift...
"Have fun sweetheart, be good and I'll see you in a few hours."
-------------------------❤️‍🩹---------------------
Your tummy whoosed as the elevator descended and you watched the numbers drop down to the 5th floor. Your heart thumped in your chest, Steve Rogers. He was Bucky's best friend and it made sense he would get you first, this hadn't been the first time Steve joined in on Bucky's dirty games.
Tumblr media
The doors dinged open and there he stood. He had grey sweats, sitting low on his hips, prominent bulge on display and shirtless. It did make your mouth water and then you remembered your predicament.
"Hi tweetie bird, gosh look at you, how pretty". He walked into the lift and popped a key in the panel which kept the doors opened. He ran his fingers through your hair and pushed you to your knees.
Before you could do much else he brought his cock out and slapped you in the face with it.
"Go on baby, do your daddy proud. Don't think we won't be reporting back..." You took him in your mouth and he immediately rammed his full length down your throat. You strained against your cuffs, trying to breath through your nose as Steve choked you. He cursed above you, fisting his hand into your hair and fucking your throat.
"Oh tweetie, that throat is fucking perfect" he groaned pulling out briefly to watch as spit dribbled down your face and onto your chest. You leaned in and licked the long shaft and sucking on his sensitive head. "That's good, good girl" he growled before sinking into your mouth again and fucking in earnest. He pulled out suddenly and painted your face and chest with come.
He tucked himself back into his sweats and turned the key. "See you in a bit" he winked and you watched as the doors slid closed.
------------------------❤️‍🩹---------------------
Before you could catch your breath you were whizzing upwards. The doors pinged open and there was Chris, in all his tattooed glory. Much like Steve, he had forgone a shirt and appeared to you in boxers, he flicked the key and helped you to standing.
Tumblr media
"See Rogers already had his way with you" he chuckled. He squeezed your breasts, and then ran his hands down your tummy and pressed his fingers into your pussy.
"Soaked, just like I knew you would be. You like being used like a little cum dump don't you sweetheart?" He whispered in your ear as his fingers circled your clit, making you moan. "Tell me you like it" he growled, sinking his fingers into your pussy. "I like it, I like it" you whined and he chuckled.
With very little warning he pushed his cock into your cunt, hitching your leg up to give him more access to you. You squealed as he pounded into you, placing slaps to your breasts, face and thighs. Your eyes welled up as he fucked you raw, rutting into you with no mercy. He played with your clit, and you cried out, unable to escape the endless stimulation.
You could hear the cuffs rattling on the handle bar as you tried to find some relief but Chris wasn't interested in that. You locked eyes with him and he spat in your face. Much to your embarrassment, it pushed you over the edge and you started to come.
He pulled out and covered your stomach in his own release, wrapping a hand around your throat and cursing as he did. You howled, as your came around nothing, wanting so much for him to keep fucking you.
"Aww is baby upset? Here, don't cry little slut" and he thrust two fingers into your aching heat and he jerked until you were squirting around his fingers. You sobbed and sank to the floor as he wiped his drenched hand over your face.
You barely even noticed him leaving as you panted on the floor.
-------------------------❤️‍🩹---------------------
Nick Fowler appeared next and it seemed he couldn't decide what to do with you. Whilst he decided he spent a while spanking your ass, making it red raw and bringing more tears to track down your cheeks. Finally he sank his cock into your pussy as you clung to the handrail as he rutted into you from behind. You watched him in the mirror, and saw a thin trail of spit leave his mouth and you felt it land on your puckered hole.
Tumblr media
"Damn, you're just desperate for this aren't you bunny? Pretty cunt just sucking me all the way in" he moaned and ground his dick extra hard, making your eyes roll. His hands sunk into your hair and he pulled hard as he came, bringing you to yet another release. You babbled nonsense as you felt his come drip down your legs and he planted one, extra hard swat to your ass. You pressed your forehead to the cool glass and you whined as he left, not sure how much more you could take.
------------------------❤️‍🩹----------------------
You sank to the floor, looking down at yourself covered in everything, hoping Bucky would rescue you soon. Before you could wonder where he was the screen showed you had reached the ground floor and your stomach sank. What if someone found you?
Tumblr media
The doors opened and there stood the Sheriff Lee Bodecker. He slowly walked into the lift and stared down at you. "Get up little slut" he said softly but you whined, your muscles aching. He prodded your leg with his heavy work boot. You flicked your eyes upwards and pouted at him, shaking your head. "Can't Sheriff.... Too hard."
He crouched down and took your face between his rough fingers. "Get up, or I'll fuck you right hear for anyone to see, or would you prefer that?"
Your breath hitched and you scrambled against the cuffs, legs slipping a little on the come and spit that had gathered on the floor beneath you.
Finally you got to your feet and the Sheriff had pressed the button to his floor.
"Was worried I was gonna miss all the fun" he said as he turned so your red ass was facing him and you were back to watching in the mirror. "Has anyone used this yet?" He asked, pressing his thumb into your ass, making you whimper as you shook your head. He grunted in approval and you heard his belt buckle undo, then suddenly his fingers were probing through your wet folds, spreading your juices around, lubing up your ass for him.
That was as much prep as he gave you, sinking his tip into your ass as you cried out.
He hushed you as he pressed further, rubbing at your clit to soothe and torture you in equal measure. You wiggled and tried to escape but he pushed further, until be bottomed out, his rough uniform scratching against your sore ass cheeks. You didn't like Lee very much, but there was something about him, his experience and his commanding voice that soon had you bouncing back on his cock. He chuckled and groaned as he watched you chase your release, his fingers rubbing at your folds until you came loudly, squeezing his dick and bringing him to his own climax, spilling into you.
"Wow, I knew your were a little slut, but that was fucking impressive doll" he said as he tucked himself away. The door opened and he left with a pat on your back.
-----------------------❤️‍🩹---------------------
You thought that was the end of it, but over the next hour you shuttled between floors, each man taking his time to defile you over and over again. You were barely able to stand anymore, your pussy was sore and puffy and your body was smothered in come from each of their visits.
They also seemed to enjoy mocking you, each of them using their own sweet little names to tell you what a pretty slut you were, a perfect little cum rag, a silly little whore who's only good for one thing. You didn't have much chance to respond or deny. As much as you felt sore and used, you couldn't stop coming when they touched you, moaning and whining when they left you.
One moment of horror came when you were unveiled to some of your neighbors, not participating in Bucky's forfeit. The older couple were shocked to see you, on the floor, covered in come, sweat and tears. You blushed and looked away as they had no choice but to step in and head to their floor. But then you were back with Nick and they left your mind.
----------------------❤️‍🩹----------------------
Finally, you were back on the top floor. The doors opened to reveal Bucky waiting for you, a proud smile on his face. "Looks like the boys had fun with you eh?" He teased as he stepped in and uncuffed you. You whined, your throat was so sore from all the use. He easily scooped you up in his arms and you clung to him.
"They all messaged me saying what a good girl you were and I was watching the camera baby, you fucking loved it didn't you princess?" Your head lulled on his shoulder and you could only moan in response. He chuckled and pressed a kiss to your sweaty head. "Gonna save that footage for a rainy day? Maybe we should invite them all over to watch?" You shook your head, "just for you daddy, please" you begged, tears spilling down your cheeks.
"Aww ok baby, just for me" he smiled and squeezed you tighter. "Hope you got some energy left babygirl? I think it's my turn now isn't it?"

pairing: bar owner destroyer!chris x reader
It had become something that calmed her down after work, going to see Chris at his bar. No matter how many times he said he didn’t want her there, he always had a pint of Coke waiting for her with a lemon slice and a cup full of ice. Just like every single Friday, she parked her car by the bikes, her hand pushing the door; yet, instead of hearing Chris mock her or call her Diane Chambers again, she found the bar was oddly quiet.
     - Hey little bride. - Bill piped up. - How’s work? That case still giving you a headache? Need me to silence them?
     - Bill, you can’t tell me you’ll commit murder for me. That way I can’t defend you in a court of law. - she sat next to him. - Where’s the half bald version of Sam Malone?
     - Ah ... - Bill took a sip of his beer. - He’s wallowing in self pity in the back.
     - And the bar is still open?
     - Free beer, little bride. He can wallow in self pity as much as he’d like if that means I get as many pints as I can serve.
Y/N looked around, grabbing her bag and making her way towards the back. She’d never been to his office before, heck, she’d only been to the upstairs bedroom because he didn’t want her to “die near his bar”. Chris was a private person, he didn’t really like sharing much about himself. He’d never told Y/N what he did before he was a bar owner, he didn’t tell her how old he was, he didn’t tell her his last name and he definitely never invited her into the back. However, perhaps the last one was solely reserved for whenever a pretty lady walked into the bar. She’d witness it one too many times before when a woman, either lost or intent into going in the bar would struck a conversation with Chris and soon enough she’d be invited in the back. Y/N guessed she was not part of the elite group of women who go to go there. She knocked on the door but heard no answer or Chris’ familiar grunting so she opened the door to find him smoking, his boots atop his desk right next to a glass of whiskey on the rocks, just like the one he used to have at the end of the day.
   - Bill said you were wallowing in self-pity. - she closed the door behind her. - Just came to warn if you don’t go outside, they’re gonna drink all the ale they can find.
    - Couldn’t give a shit about that. - he replied but not like he usually did. No, he sounded crude. - What? Can’t find the tap for Coke?
   - Came to check in on you since you’re apparently chain smoking and drinking yourself to death.
    - Don’t be dramatic, Diane. - he put out the end of his cigarette against the ashtray before grabbing another one and lightening. - You want one?
    - I don’t smoke. - she crossed her arms. He chuckled, letting out a cloud of smoke and a mumble of “of course not”. - Do you want to talk?
    - My god, Diane, the last thing I need is you to pretend to be a shrink.
    - You’re clearly acting like much more of an asshole than you usually do.
    - Maybe I am an asshole, have you thought about that? - he replied as if her words had no effect on him and if he was being honest, today her words had little to no effect on him.
    - God, I thought we were past this act of you pretending you hate me.
    - I never pretended I hate you, I’ve always did hate you, you spoilt little princess.
    - Really? I am the best thing that could’ve happened to you. At least I made the bar a bit brighter.
    - Are you kidding me? You are the worse thing that has ever happened to me. Now I don’t know if you’re only sticking around here because you’re needy or horny since you escaped the lucky bastard that is your ex-fiancé, but I was the happiest man in the world before you stepped foot here.
    - Does that make you feel better? Does it?
    - Sure as hell beats having to actually be outside and pretend I give a fuck about what you have to say every Friday.
    - You know what? Fuck you, Chris!
    - Isn’t that what you came here to do?
She turned around and slammed the door behind her, making enough of a noise that the whole bar had turned to see what was happening. However, at this moment she couldn’t give more of a damn about how many people were looking at her. Instead, she just forcefully grabbed her bag and made her way out of the bar and into her car. New York had enough bars for her to content herself with.
(...)
Chris stared at the old clock he’d gotten when he first bought the place. The pointers kept moving, almost mocking him about how intent he was on knowing what time it was. 3:58, 2 minutes and how many seconds away from closing time. The only people in the bar were him and Bill who had happily been ranting about a new bike he was looking to buy and re-do.
    - She’s not coming. - he said, drinking whatever was left of the beer in his glass.
    - Don’t know who you’re talking about.
    - Yes, you do. - he interrupted the bar owner before he could continue. - She hasn’t come back in two weeks.
    - I couldn’t give any more fucks about where she is. Keeps my bar sane if she’s not around.
    - Still think it was a dick move to unload on her like that. Kid was just trying to be nice.
    - Last thing I need is a spoiled girl in my bar. - he cleaned the last glass, part of him still hoping she was gonna waltz in late like she used to do.
    - You know what, Chris? It’s not her fault ‘ya ex-bride is popping out ‘ya best mate’s kid. Keep going with this bullshit and you’re gonna be alone.
    - What is this? Protect Diane Chambers time? If you like her so much, then fuck her for all I care.
    - You watch how you talk about her. - he got up. - Don’t wanna have any problems with me, son.
Honestly, Chris felt tempted to start a fight. Between Y/N throwing a fit over nothing and his ex being pregnant, maybe getting punched and throwing a few punches would make him feel better. However, this was Bill and starting a fight with him would either end up with Chris in the ER or in the cemetery. Both seemed like great options but he was tired and all he wanted to do now was go upstairs and watch whatever shitty TV show was on. He threw the Coke glass in the sink and went upstairs.
She didn’t come again for 4 weeks and he knew how ridiculous it was that he had started to count them, yet here he was now, 4 weeks in without a sight of her. Perhaps it was better she was not here on this particular Friday, the bar crowded with Bill’s old friends as he celebrated whatever birthday he was celebrating. Chris didn’t ask, it was not his business. He just stayed behind the bar, serving whatever it was they ordered.
    - LITTLE BRIDE! - his attention finally turned towards the group as he saw her there. She had come back. - You came!
    - Couldn’t miss your birthday, Bill. You know you’re my favourite.
    - Sit. - he gathered room for her. - You want anything?
    - No, I just came to wish you happy birthday and drop by a little gift. - she put a black bag on the table. - I have to get back to New York, have a business trip next week.
   - A very busy lady, aren’t ‘ya?
   - I keep busy. - she smiled. - I’ll see you around, Bill. Don’t get into too much trouble.
   - Can’t promise anything.
How dare she? How dare she come into his bar after 4 weeks and not even direct a word to him? Heck, he’d let her sleep in one of the extra bedrooms upstairs and even if not, this was his bar and good manners dictated she said something, even if an annoyed “hi”. He threw the red rag he was using to clean the counter on the floor and went past the bar and outside, following her like a raged wolf.
   - You gotta be fucking kidding me, Y/N.
   - I don’t feel like engaging you in your petty little fights tonight, Chris. - she took her car keys from her bag.
   - Oh really? You love to talk so much, actually, you never shut up but tonight you particularly chose to talk to everyone but me.
   - I thought since you hate me so much, I’d save you the trouble of having to speak to me.
   - Oh, real mature, Y/N. - he crossed his arms.
   - Yes, real mature. I haven’t heard you apologise for being an absolute dickhead the last time we spoke. Actually, I’ve never heard you apologise for anything.
   - What? You want me to apologise for hurting your feelings? Grow a backbone, Y/N.
   - Maybe you should grow some manners. - she stepped towards him.
   - You are the most fucking annoying person I have ever met.
   - LIKEWISE!
The two stared at each other with fire in their eyes and before Chris or Y/N could think about what would be the correct thing to do in this situation, he had wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her in for a kiss. The two pulled apart, her eyes looking into his with a mix of shock, innocence and shyness.
   - I have to go back to New York.
   - You probably should.
   - Yes, I should.
   - Drive safe.
   - I will.

ANY HATE WILL BE DELETED THIS IS A JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE DON’T LIKE, DON’T INTERACT; MINORS DO NOT INTERACT 18+
“Wanna try somethin’ different tonight pretty girl,” Chris murmured in your ear, the two of you sitting on the couch, the house empty for once. You were laying with your head in his lap, his hand stroking your hair. You sat up, grinning at Chris as you turned to face him.
“C’mere,” Chris said, grabbing you by your waist and lifting you until you were on his lap, straddling him. You bit your lip, grinding down onto his bulge, Chris shuddering as it swelled, already sensitive.
“Yeah? Y’want me on top tonight baby?” you asked, rocking back and forth along his bulge, his dick growing until it was straining the zipper of his pants.
“Wait, wait, lemme- fuck, I can’t, oh jesus that feels better,” Chris groaned as he undid his button and the zipper pulled down itself, his hard cock poking out of his boxers, tip already red and leaking.
You licked your lips, sitting back on Chris’ thighs and bending until you could lick a stripe up the vein on the underside of his cock. Chris moaned and precum dripped onto his boxers. You licked up his cock, sucking lightly on the head and he spasmed, coming before he could warn you, but you were ready for it, swallowing it down and licking his tip clean.
“Sh-shit baby, m’sorry! Fuck you look so good with my cum on your tongue,” Chris groaned and you flushed, his filthy mouth still managing to make you blush. “C’mon pretty girl, want you sittin’ on my dick next time I come.”
You nodded quickly, standing up and dropping your sweats and panties, clambering back onto Chris’ lap and raising your dripping pussy above his dick. His hands were tight on your hips, helping you stay up, then he began pulling you down, the head of his dick bumping against your entrance before catching and slipping in.
You moaned immediately, his size always a lot at first, but you relished the burn, forcing your hips down faster, Chris’ eyes widening.
“Baby wait, can’t- too fast,” he moaned, burying his face in your chest, hands clenching and releasing on your hips as he came. You giggled, holding his mostly shaved head against you, grinning when you were able to slide down another few inches thanks to the cum filling you.
Chris gasped, biting down on your tit as he bottomed out, your ass against his thighs. You yelped, clenching around his dick and Chris cried out, breathing heavily as he tried to compose himself.
“This what y’wanted baby?” you asked him, trying to roll your hips, but he grabbed you harder, forcing you still.
“Fuck, p-please pretty girl, needta fill you up again and again, can ya do that baby, can you let me?” Chris asked desperately, blue eyes shining, and you smiled, it turning into a smirk as you leaned forwards, his eyes pleading with you, as you captured his lips with yours.
“M’all yours Chris,” you murmured between kisses and he groaned low in his throat, dragging you up off his dick until just the tip was in, then you slammed down onto his lap, a higher pitched groan escaping him as he came immediately, your cunt milking his dick until he was nearly babbling.
“Fuckfuckfuck shitfuck p-pretty girl, d-drain me baby, please, drain me and- and take it all, f-fill you up,” Chris said mindlessly, barely even noticing when you started rocking in his lap, grinding your clit against his pelvic bone.
“C’mon Chris, c’mon fill me up, just like you said, you can take some more right? Need to fill me up til I’m bursting, gimme it all baby,” you whispered in his ear, and he cried out raggedly, his hips jerking beneath you, rutting into your pussy with desperation.
“M’gonna- m’gonna make you mine forever,” Chris groaned, and you gasped, his dick hitting that place inside you. Now you rut back against him, rolling your hips again and again until you were screaming your release.
You could feel Chris coming again, dripping out of you along with your slick, making a mess of his boxers. You couldn’t bring yourself to care, riding your high and giggling when you saw him almost passed out beneath you. You thought about moving, but as his dick stayed partially hard inside you, you stayed where you were, cunt lightly pulsing. You put your head on his shoulder and closed your eyes, smiling to yourself as you felt his dick twitch, pulsing one last time into you as he wrapped his arms around you and pulled you in. He moaned softly as you sank into him, pressing his lips to your temple.
“Mmm my pretty girl, don’ move. Jus’ stay here,” Chris mumbled, half asleep and trying to go all the way. You grinned and kissed his neck, his breath hitching, before you closed your eyes and just relaxed.

Back in 2011, I was asked "So, what old DC comic would YOU like to reboot, and what's the angle, and can you draw a cover for this theoretical comic relaunch?" I was not asked this by a professional editor at DC, but by my friend Jon who was doing a themed blog thingie. Look, it was before the world we live in now—we had time to imagine a better world and fool around! Anyway, I am reposting the "pitch" I wrote, as well as the illo I did back in 2011 (below), just to have it here. Above is a more recent posca drawing/painting of Dart (as you will see if you read the wall of text below, she's my favorite 😂)

ATARI FORCE #1 (of 12)
2063: A.T.A.R.I. (Advanced Technology And Research Institute) combs an infinite number of realities in order to find a suitable new world for the population of a dying Earth. In their travels through the Multiverse, one of the expeditionary forces does battle with and ultimately kills the ultimate evil - a lovecraftian devourer of dimensions they dub the DARK DESTROYER. In the course of this battle, they find a perfect, empty world in a universe teeming with advanced civilizations. After some false starts both the recolonization of New Earth and the socialization of the New Earthlings with the rest of their new neighbors is a success.
2088: THE ATARI FOUNDATION, now the de facto governing party of New Earth, has ushered in a new era of utopian prosperity. After the Old Earth was brought to the brink of destruction by gross negligence and mismanagement, the people of New Earth are only too happy to put themselves in the guiding hands of ATARI. All live in relative prosperity and happiness..
Except for MARTIN CHAMPION, brilliant Multiversal scientist and the leader of the original expedition that battled the Destroyer. Martin is haunted by the death of his wife in childbirth, and is convinced that the Dark Destroyer somehow caused it. Instead of going about his life and picking up the pieces, Martin sits in his lab sending probes out in to the Multiverse, in hopes of finding proof of the existence of the Dark Destroyer. Martin has, over the years, become a laughingstock of ATARI, as well as driven his now adult son out of his life, due to misplaced anger about the death of his wife. All he has left is his obsession..
Until one of his probes goes missing after sending back readings of energy very similar to the kind the Destroyer radiates. Worried that he's given the Dark Destroyer a direct route back to New Earth in the lost probe, Martin hijacks his now antique Multiversal scout ship
SCANNER ONE and heads out to stop the Destroyer once and for all. To help him on this mission, he enlists:
ERIN BIA O'ROURKE-SINGH, aka DART - A telepathic mercenary, as well as his goddaughter. She's one of the deadliest, sexiest beings in the universe, and she has a precognitive "second sight" that comes in handy.
MORPHEA - An alien empath, forced on Champion by the ATARI FOUNDATION to serve as his psychiatrist. Ostensibly she's there to help him with his "delusions", but her connection to Martin's deepest convictions gives her reason to think he's actually right about the danger facing the Multiverse.
CHRIS CHAMPION, aka TEMPEST - Martin's estranged son. A professional fighting champion who's anger management issues and freakish teleportation abilities have made him a star in the Mega-Brawl circuit.
Wanted by the government of New Earth, and pursued by the ATARI Security Squad, Champion has to outwit them all and defeat the ultimate expression of evil all over again. Luckily this time he has the new, improved, ATARI FORCE!
Over the course of their adventure, their rag tag team grows in size as they pick up new members:
BABE - The hulking, freakishly strong infant from a world of rock-like creatures.
TUKLA OLY, aka PAKRAT - An impish, self-absorbed master thief who goes into berserker rages when cornered.
TAZ - A master soldier, last of her race, who carries deep anger and sadness within her.
MOSES FISK, aka BLACKJAK - Dart's lover, a roguish mercenary once thought dead, secretly brainwashed to do the Dark Destroyer's bidding. --- I loved AF as a kid, so when Jon asked me what book I'd reboot if I got the chance, it was one of a handful of titles I considered. I especially loved Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez' designs and storytelling, and Gerry Conway did a really good job weaving all these plot threads together in an exciting way.
My reboot of the book would reprise it as a 12 issue mini series (or maxi series, as it would have been called back then), and really play up some of the hard sci fi elements at the fringes of the concept, as well as inject a sort of European sense of storytelling to the character bits, while still remaining true to the general arc of the original.
The only character I would really change that much is Chris, who in the original is pretty lame/bland/whiney and was quickly overshadowed by Dart. I thought giving him the MMA-style fighting league to be a part of would be something interesting for him to use to try and cope with being crapped on by his dad all his life, as well as ground him more than in the original series, where he's really sort of a cypher-brat.
Another wrinkle I would explore is the sexual tension between him and his "sister", Dart. It's hinted at in the original series, but I think that I'd have it bloom fully in my version on these long weeks and months stuck on Scanner One - Chris always having had a thing for Dart since they were kids, and Dart being rather depressed and lovesick because of Blackjak's apparent death early in the series. Things would, of course get rather sticky when Blackjak reappears.
Needless to say, the ATARI FORCE gang eventually wins out against the new iteration of the Dark Destroyer, but not without some serious losses, and they limp off still wanted by the ATARI FOUNDATION and use the failing Multiversal drive on Scanner One to take them into unknown space..
Atari Force was created by Gerry Conway and Roy Thomas. (Read more)

I love that all of us are like yes this Chris character suits this Sebastian character and the fact it’s been happening for a few years at this point is amazing.
It's the best ❤️‍🔥 I was talking (yelling?) to @cable-knit-sweater just the other day, about how crazy and amazing it is that literally any version of Chris could go with any version of Sebastian, because somehow, they just work together. It's that insane chemistry of theirs, as well as something about the way they look which complements each other perfectly. I've probably also conditioned myself to some extent to see and believe this lol, but I also genuinely think there's just something about these two together that's special. And like you said, the fact that this fandom as a whole loves its Chris x Sebastian characters ships proves that!
Some pairings work extra well, of course. Stucky is the quintessential Chris/Seb ship - they're untouchable, that goes without saying. But there are also some great other pairings, like Ransom Drysdale & Charles Blackwood, Frank Adler (or Andy Barber) & TJ Hammond, Lucas Lee & Lance Tucker, Nick Vaughan & Josh Brummel, Lloyd Hansen & Nick Fowler, and Ari Levinson & Destroyer!Chris (or one of Sebastian's pretty boy characters, like Will Franklyn or Billy from Gone).
They all work really well together, and they all capture my interest and imagination, even though I very much consider myself a monoshipper. I'll never ship another pairing of theirs like I ship Stucky (or Chris and Seb themselves), but yeah, stick two characters played by these boys together, and something beautiful and captivating will happen every single time imo 💕

Wind teased your face from the open window and you wondered if anyone outside could hear you. No, someone would've found you by now and he wouldn't be that risky. He was always so careful. But today, he was almost unhinged.
"Couldn't keep my hands off you, baby. Look so fucking good."
Stolen moments like these weren't uncommon. They began with a kiss and ended with you filled and ruined. How long has this been going on? Days? Weeks? It didn't matter. Everything changed when he walked into your life and destroyed everything.
For the worse and the better.
"Please," you panted as you arched your back. You already came once. It wasn't enough. He loved how responsive you were to him, your walls quivering as he dragged his cock along them, seeking that spot that would make you scream. And the sound he wanted to hear was his name. "Chris, we can't-"
"Yeah, we can," he grunted, digging his rings into your hips to hold you still and make you take him. It wasn't to hurt you. He never would. "You say that, fuck, every time I have my cock in you."
You couldn't argue with that. You never wanted this life, but your freedom was taken away from you. Then Chris showed up, intoxicating, addicting and good. Part of you knew you loved him. He knew you loved him, too, but you denied it. You couldn't love him. It was too dangerous.
The sound of your broken moan pulled you from your thoughts, your head almost smacking the wall as it fell back. You began to tremble as he drove deeper into you with each thrust. Some days, he took his time with you. Other times, like this, it was frenzied, frantic, needy.
Perfect.
"C'mon, sweetheart. Just one more. She wants to gimme one more."
You gasped when he said "sweetheart". No. That wasn't the name Chris used for you. That was-
"Does he know that every time you fuck him, you think of me?"
You shook your head, helpless noises spilling from you as he pressed his lips against your neck. "No. He'd kill you."
Chris pressed a kiss behind your ear. "I'll kill him first."
The pressure in your abdomen kept building, your body desperate and hot at the thought of him killing the man who forced you to be by his side.
"But before I do," he grunted as he sped up, your hands seeking purchase as you began to spiral. "I want him to know you don't belong to him. That you never did. ‘Cause you’re mine. You’re my girl. You come for me. You love me, baby. So give it to me."
You hurdled toward your orgasm, squeezing and gushing around his cock. You were certain you screamed his name, uncaring if it carried through the air. Maybe it was time everyone knew. He managed a few more thrusts before he spilled hot and thick inside you, lifting his head so you could see his blissed out expression.
His kiss was gentle as you came back to yourself, a tear sliding from the corner of your eye. “I mean it, baby,” he panted in a whisper. “You’re my girl. And Nick is a dead man.”

Love and thanks! ❤️

Chris Liberato's 2022 favorites
Tumblr media
Photo of Courtney Marie Andrews by Chris Liberato
2022 got off to an unusually slow start for me, as far as connecting with new music. Fortunato Durutti Marinetti’s Memory’s Fool, released in March, was both the first record that grabbed me and the one that I returned to most often. To give you an idea of what it sounds like, imagine if Robert Forster grew up listening to Bill Callahan/Smog, and made a record with Robert Wyatt producing, and you’ll be pretty close. Right up there at the top of my most-played pile, next to Fortunato, is Courtney Marie Andrews’ Loose Future, which didn’t come as much of a surprise to me given how hard I fell for her last one, the stunning Old Flowers. Although, getting the chance to see her and her band perform the Loose Future material live last fall (more on that below) definitely helped seal the deal.
A couple of records that did surprise me, in terms of how much time I ended up spending with them, were the latest Jeanines, Don’t Wait For A Sign: a pure comfort listen whenever I needed it this year, which was often. And Free Time’s Jangle Jargon, which barely made a blip in the indie world but seems like it would appeal to Destroyer fans — the way it evokes that project’s Thief and Streethawk eras — and definitely fans of Twerps, whom they uncannily resemble on standout track “That’s Rare,” and whose former frontman Marty Frawley guest stars on the album. It’s an addicting one. I also want to give a special nod to the Morteza Mahjubi compilation, Selected Improvisations From Golha, Pt. I, even if it might not fully qualify as a 2022 release (it was released digitally and on cassette in 2021, with the vinyl ultimately landing this year). I discovered it via a Steve Gunn tweet in November and it’s since become my go-to morning record — equal parts ghostly and jaunty, improvised piano pieces from 1950s/60s Iranian national radio broadcasts that are sure to get your bones rattling.
I also saw more live music in 2022 than I have in years, both for obvious Covid-related reasons and because I decided I needed a break from school, and therefore had more time and energy than usual to make it happen. Of the shows I caught, my favorites were Quivers, who made it over from Australia in support of last year’s glorious Golden Doubt, and Courtney Marie Andrews, who played to an adoring, capacity crowd at Cambridge’s Middle East in early November. Something these two acts had in common was an obvious love of playing music with their respective bandmates, which translated into an infectious onstage energy, in both cases, that left me feeling a lot lighter at the end of the night. Picking a favorite single moment is easy: it was the absolutely devastating centerpiece of Andrews’ set, “Near You,” a song I wasn’t familiar with prior to the show but which left a raw, empty feeling in the pit of my stomach that I can still viscerally recall (you know, in a good way). In a very different way, catching Kraftwerk and their synchronized screen show at The Wang Theater ruled, too. As did seeing Berlin resident Ned Collette, not once but twice, after catching Collette fever last Spring when I picked up the reissue of his debut, Jokes & Trials, and subsequently deep diving into his back catalog.
But that’s enough out of me. So, without further adieu, here are the records I enjoyed the most this year. If we reviewed the record here at Dusted, or I covered it in a different context elsewhere, I made sure to link to it.

Best Action Adventure Games
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is an amazing recreation. It is truly a creative, thoughtful rendition of the Marvel property. After playing the game, I'd love even more than anything to plunge into the world that created this group of heroes with a ragtag look. And at this moment, I'm thinking I truly will because I have fallen additionally in love with the world. Regardless of the world truly being inundated with superheroes appearing on the silver screen, it truly is only in the past decade that we've been able to provide gamers with seriously distinctive and relaxing games based on comic book components. With Guardians of the Galaxy, players can play among the most enjoyable comic book games available, which can distinguish themselves on their own from the tremendously well-known MCU brand and which can lovingly alter the abundant, illustrated world that it is based on. The original hurdle Guardians of the Galaxy needed to overcome was distinguishing it from James Gunn's vision. The films "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1" and "Vol. 2" were fantastic, bringing the Guardians to the forefront and adding much-needed character to the individual pre-"Avenger" films. Without a doubt, Eidos-Montreal's job is cut out for them for their upcoming film. On its initial public appearance, Guardians of the Galaxy was mocked as a copy-and-paste-style version that was a copy-paste version of its MCU counterpart. Nonetheless, nothing will be any further from the facts than you already know.
Tumblr media
Eidos-Montreal certainly uses Gunn's style selections to create. Star-Lord presents a ripped-far from the world of Earth from the 1980s and is obsessed with the sounds of his time. Characteristics like Rocket Raccoon's aggression and Drax the Destroyer's tendencies to be a literalist are on full display within the action. The acting and direction of those films happened to be superb and functioned to describe the non-comic personalities of these characters. Yet still, after virtually two hours during the contest, I had no idea what to think of Chris Pratt or Bradley Cooper. I believe there may end up being some gamers who are unable to distinguish these two characters from one another because of the way their brains work. However, it's not as big of an issue as it was in the past year's Avengers play, where those titular characters and actors weren't provided with enough product.
Tumblr media
Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the most conversational little games ever made. You will find a good number of RPGs loaded with inane conversations with NPCs that are one-offs, but I am unable to imagine the number of terms and pages that make up this game's script. From page 1 until the very end, Peter "Star-Lord" Quill, Drax, Gamora, Rocket, and Groot are talking nearly nonstop. In a sense, people could consider this to be the "Gilmore Girls" game. The raucous banter between all five characters in the show is unstoppable. And, while that word may have negative connotations, I cannot think of a better word to describe it. Discussions are threaded through quests, fights or idle strolls, dogfights, and life-threatening episodes. Conversations are a constant stream of words, as Groot may discuss his trademark "I am Groot" as Rocket translates, while Gamora and Drax tend to be engaged in their specific dialogue. The characters can speak, but it never feels like they are speaking without purpose. Every word, every stupid joke, or cruel comment is based on a thought-provoking perspective that the writers employed to make the characters more distinct. It never felt like an unnecessary flood of verbose rubbish. This truly is the way the Guardians communicate in their groups and with each other. One thing Guardians of the Galaxy greatly benefits from is the structured gaming experience it provides. Without multiplayer or games-as-a-service game mechanics to satisfy, the overall game seems highly polished as well as curated and, above all, ample in detail. As you progress through the story, you will be able to switch between your home on the Milano, the Guardians spaceship, and the various locations you explore throughout the game. Each place you visit is very different from the other, as it is a place that feels alien to the touch in kaleidoscopic color. In between missions, it's enjoyable exploring the ship to find interesting objects to chat with, talk with the staff, and if you're a worrier like me personally shut the fridge door, which is always open in your kitchen on the ship. If you uncover items hidden in each world, you'll also be able to have another conversation with other Guardians, which will give their characters and background and provide some of the most intimate connections you'll have in the video game. You'll also have a variety of options for dialogue—usually, they ask you to choose with one Guardian or another, make decisions on how to respond to an issue, or determine what the focus of your team should always be. These selections may alter the circulation of the adaptation of the story, as certain possibilities could affect your relationships with different groups of people or your relationship with the team. You can choose to go against Rocket repeatedly, in which case he may start to feel a bit petty, which could limit his truthful willingness to assist your future. These choices don't appear to change the narrative in any way However, you can play them according to "what sounds" significantly more enjoyable at the moment.
Tumblr media
The fight is thrilling. You control Quill in almost every moment of every battle, and you legitimately look like the leader of the Guardians. Drax and Co. all provide their strengths, and they'll fight by themselves, but they're influenced by Quill. Each hero presents a unique power in battles, such as crowd control (Groot) or the ability to conduct enormous problems (Gamora). The way you use their strengths can determine the course of the fight. In fighting, gamers go around firing their guns at foes and dodging, making use of Peter's rocket boots. As close Peter is to an opponent, the more harm he can cause. Firing would not last forever, as ultimately the guns will overheat, but can be swiftly recharged when you hit R2 at the appropriate time. Like Peter, the players are expected to battle with a tactical sense in their minds. Through storyline development or abilities points, Peter, along with the remaining Guardians, retains four abilities that aren't locked and are put on the encounter keys. Peter's abilities tend to be turned on by clicking the left stick. It may feel somewhat clumsy from time to time during battle. The team's abilities are activated by holding down the L1 button while aiming at the enemy, hitting an appropriate face button for a specific teammate, and after that, pressing a face button that is assigned to the player's specific ability.
Tumblr media
Puzzles play an important part in exploration, but they aren't especially tricky. The variety of worlds and locations is done to perfection. I was fascinated by the places to go off and find some treasures, such as, for example, particular elements to supply to my sexy colleagues to study much more about their valuable past and get a hold of the latest clothes to equip. The assorted locations are breathtaking to look at, and every single one is unique due to its vegetation and monsters. Lady Hellbenders' animal sanctuary planet is truly lush with greenery and strange humanoid sculptures. There's also the chance to explore spaceships and the massive spaceport "Knowhere," which resides inside the skull of a massive celestial being. Hidden crafting elements are scattered all over the world, which lets you upgrade the perks. While at a workbench, Rocket can improve Star-Lord by making him new equipment systems that are represented as benefits. You will discover fifteen in total, ranging from faster shield recharge, greater wellness, and reduced time required to complete a perfect dodge. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is all you can want from a Marvel videogame that is the best of both electric situations and thought-provoking junctures. The images immediately grab your attention with stunning views and vivid shades that range from neon lights and the markets at Knowhere to the sprawling scenery of Lady Hellbenders' Seknarf Nine. To go along with the video game's unbelievable visuals are the facial animations.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart pursues the happenings of 2013's Ratchet & Clank: Inside the Nexus and Expression Franchise legendary characters Ratchet and Clank, in addition to the introduction of a new character playable in Rivet. While Rift Apart actually does technically follow the events of Into the Nexus, it can be played out in its own game without knowing about Into the Nexus. It is the first game created for the next-generation consoles. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is truly intended to highlight all of the distinguishing characteristics which make PlayStation 5 such an appetizing purchase.
Tumblr media
The amazing year 2016 PS4 update of the first Ratchet & Clank made for an entertaining retread of its very own, but it was iterative-this walked so Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart could run. It's awe-inspiring, indeed, how the game runs. The Rift away shows the PS5 an intense workout. This provides you with sweeping artwork of characters and models for the characters, along with lighting and effects, that don't appear outside of the spot in a 3D-animated movie, and its particular fluid combat could spotlessly feature tens of opponents and projectiles on the monitor all at once, without any issues. Getting errors out of the way early on, there are only a few errors throughout Ratchet & Clank: Rift Away, but they're small. At one point, I noticed myself jumping onto a ledge only to be caught in some geometry, resulting in a quick demise. But since quicksaves are extremely easily placed and there's no punishment for dying, these little troubles just didn't bother me even somewhat. My brain stayed deadlocked on the artwork, the storyline, and the battle. All of them seamlessly connect and are so incredibly captivating that it is hard to get angry when something goes wrong.
Tumblr media
At its heart, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is very much a new platformer meets third-person shooter game and, while it's not an open-world game, the design of the levels makes it appear as if you're part of something larger, which is why the illusion is right there, including quests and subquests that aid you in exploring these new universes. Similar to former gaming titles, you have the mechanic wrench you have been using to smash crates like Thor, which allows you to collect bolts, which are later used to buy new products and improve your existing models. The process of leveling up can help you when you are on your final quest, in particular, the bad guys that you encounter. When you ride on canines, grind like Tony Hawk, float around jumping, smashing, fighting, exploring, and meeting new friends, one exciting new feature is your ability to tether to portals. When you connect to portals, this allows you to be teleported to another location, which is truly useful when fighting against enemies or wishing to solve mysteries. Just keep in mind that you will need to reorient yourself from time to time. Another innovative mechanic is the phantom dash, which allows you to rewind reality to reach another location faster, which again works for double jumps. As well, while Ratchet and Rivet are alike in the way they play, fans of Clank will be delighted to learn that, once again, you get to manage this bot through puzzles and mini-missions, including an alternate galaxy spider named Glitch (Sara Amini) who hacks. Also, there's KT, who happens to be the alternate world's Clank and is also a fun brand-new character from the series.
Buy Cheap Games for PlayStation.
Tumblr media
Combat is well-handled via the game title and you have use of a wide great diversity of totally different arms, from common blasters to a couple of absolutely clever suggestions which I'm not going to discuss here, such as power-ups that have been purchased through your bolt collecting. However, the game isn't without its challenges in certain instances, especially if the adversaries start to gather while you try to shoot with aplomb to save your life. Fortunately, the developers have included a few level stages, and if people simply want to relax and take in the story without too much stress, this is certainly an alternative. Nevertheless, on those higher difficulty levels, ammunition is scarce and the boss battles are indeed an obstacle, but not quite on the very same scale as Demon Souls.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits
In the form of an action-adventure Kena: Bridge of Spirits lets players explore a vast and varied world to defeat evil spirits and cleanse the land of corruption. Armed with a sword and capable of drawing upon spirit vitality, Kena is truly adaptable in what she will do. The plot is told through fully-voiced cutscenes, some of which use the in-game engine, while some use fully animated CGI All of which look like something definitely from Pixar or Dreamworks. The animation is stunning in the spiritually charged universe that borrows from historic Eastern cultures. When you assist the spirits of one group while other arcs explore the same serious narrative template quality of the screenplay, this is a universe that's not difficult to lose yourself in, and the cast list is truthfully enjoyable because they each traverse a path of love and loss in their unique way.
Tumblr media
There are a variety of quests and jobs you can perform, some as simple as finding the Rot and putting a statue back in place, and others that require the next step and trying to test your accuracy using the bow during a shooting challenge that unlocks another Rot. One of the things I completely love is the chests with curses, which are close to a specific combat task to overcome ( across the fast region) that you must accomplish as a way to open them. Nothing can be said to be a challenge in Kena: Bridge of Spirits is more complex than a Fallout quest, but every little thing is fun and corresponds with the things you've done in other games, such as Sly Cooper as well as the aforementioned PS2 classics.
Tumblr media
Besides these, you can find many collectibles to be found, and the game even outlines exactly how many you need to locations across the globe. In the meantime, before we jump into the fight of Kena Let's talk about the rot that I talked about in the last paragraph. These tiny black blobs of a creature tend to be certainly delightful, along with the form the game's title makes use of them is incredible. When you gather the blobs, they prove useful in numerous steps. The most charming aspect is that you simply don't need to spend a lot of time with them since they won't die, as most NPCs do in battle scenarios. This is handled via "they truly are terrified tiny beings and you must build up their courage by fighting to increase the meter", which is a great method of explaining the amazing moves they offer. Operating these could result in significant damage, but it is extremely beneficial on occasions when your overall health is compromised. The Rot becomes increasingly useful in lifting objects to search for more Rot, moving statues back to their original positions, and even moving boxes to assist Kena in getting to difficult-to-reach places. You will find an extremely powerful rot capability; offering them the liquid of a bloom them all into a rushing cavalcade of rots that resemble their specific original phase and can take out the corruption along with unlocking and healing distinctive areas. However, they're not completely useless to you, since they can feed the corruption flowers when you've cleaned the opponents' free, purifying the spot you are in.

Although the action aspect of the entire action-platformer game is very strong, the platforming portion is a bit less luminous in comparison, specifically the bouncing. Invisible structures are generally awkwardly present as players attempt to jump over rooftops or platforms they're not meant to reach. The design decision for it to be essentially vertical was a mistake, not simply because it's uncomfortable, but because it also creates the impression that you can reach specific surfaces, which the invisible wall structure eventually keeps you from. Kena: Bridge Of Spirits might attract some aged influences, but the way this assembles the parts of the mystery makes it appear very contemporary indeed. The video game will charm you with its lovable universe, only to smack you around a little with its ferociousness. While the gameplay is the weakest component, however, overall, Kena is a great time that should not be forgotten.

destroyer chris and reader like cheers? maybe she ran away from a wedding and ends up at his bar
Tumblr media
pairing: bar owner destroyer!chris x reader
She didn't know how she'd ended up here. She'd grown up happy, or at least, happy-ish. Her parents weren't rich but they weren't at the bottom of the feed chain, they'd help her get into an Ivy League school and somehow in the middle, they'd gotten distracted. They'd gotten distracted by having a daughter marry into a wealthy family, the lifestyle that came with old money and soon enough, she found herself trying to make a relationship work just to make her parents happy - after all, didn't her parents deserve this after doing so much for her? She didn't know, but just like she found herself trying to make a relationship work, she was now finding herself escaping from a window. She should've called it off, she should've stopped this the moment she noticed she didn't even like the dress or her fiancé for all that matter.
She didn't know where she was, she didn't know this place, this town, this city. It had all been picked to match a tradition which she didn't even understand and now she was walking across a dirt road trying to hail a taxi, even though she barely had money to get back home. She didn’t know when but at some point she began crying, she was cold, she was tired and all she wanted to go is go back home. Maybe her roommate could lend her some money so she could fly back home or she could come and pick her up. She just needed a phone, she just needed to find a phone to call her. After what felt like walking for miles, her feet numb from the white heels, she spotted a small biker bar and it seemed as if she reached oasis. However, once she stepped inside, it was if all eyes were on her.
      - Look at that, Bill. - she heard a male voice followed by a whistle. - A pretty little bride.
      - Come on, girlie, come seat with us.
She had stupidly thought that perhaps this bar would have a standing phone - at least they always do in movies. Yet again, perhaps it had been naive of hers to base of her safety on movie knowledge. She felt stupid, ridiculous that she didn’t thought about what to do if her plan A didn’t work.
     - If you’re not gonna buy something, you gonna have to leave. - a man from behind the bar spoke up. She locked eyes with him and he honestly did not look like he would help her. In all honesty, he looked like the kind of man she would avoid on the street. His hair was shaved on the sides and his fingers covered in bulky silver rings, she would’ve definitely avoid him if this was any situation. - Hey, Diane Chambers, you listening to me?
She didn’t know why and once she felt the first warm tear roll down her cheeks, all she could feel is embarrassment, but at the same time, she couldn’t stop the tears from coming down. She’d gotten herself in a mess and she didn’t know what to do, she just wanted to go back to her flat, she just wanted to go back to the flat.
     - Hey, come on, stop crying. - she hadn’t noticed that he’d crossed the bar to meet her. - Please, stop crying. You’re killing the mood and driving away costumers.
      - I’m sorry. - she attempted to stop crying, but the tears were still running down her face and the hiccups were still present.
      - Jesus, woman, your guy dumped you or something?
      - I ran away and I thought that there would be a phone so I could call my roommate, I’m so sorry ...
      - Didn’t think your plan through, did you?
      - Didn’t you think about costumer service before taking a job here?
      - This is my bar, doll. I can do whatever the heck I deem fit. Hell, I can put you outside if I want to.
      - I just need to call my roommate and I’ll be out of your hair, not that you have much to begin with.
      - I’ll do anything to see you out of my bar. - he grabbed his phone from the pocket of his jeans, handing it over to her. - Come on, I don’t want to see your and your horrible dress for much longer.
     - Thank you.
Her roommate sounded too excited that her friend was no longer engaged, a bit too excited; yet Y/N couldn’t really complain. All she wanted was to run away from this place, to be somewhere else and even if that was Georgia’s run down car. She finished the call feeling slightly calmer than before. She just needed Georgia to come pick her up so she wouldn’t come back to that hellish wedding and make the worse mistake of her life.
    - Here. - he placed a pint of Coke in front of her. - Your friend coming to pick you up?
    - She said so but with New York traffic.
    - I don’t think she’ll actually get here. Fucking storm going towards New York last I checked.
    - Do you take pleasure in torturing me? Isn’t it enough that I’m in an awful wedding dress in a biker bar? Isn’t that enough?
    - Could be worse. - he took his phone back. - I would start to try and look for a motel if I were you.
Chris, on the other hand, found himself entranced by the woman. Sure, the fact that she was wearing a white wedding dress that seemed to swallow her made her very noticeable - but there was something else he couldn’t put his finger on. The time passed, the customers started to leave but she remained there, staring at the frosted glass in front of her.  The sun went down and she continued there, staring at her glass as the wind and the rain fell faster than before. Deep within her she knew the rude bartender was probably right and she was about to have to go outside in the pouring rain. The last customer left, the only two people remaining being her and the bartender.
     - You want me to drop you at the motel? - he mumbled as he finished polishing some glasses. - It ain’t much but usually they have free bedrooms.
     - I can’t. - she sighed. - I left my phone and my wallet at the bridal suite. Unless they accept a wedding dress as a form of payment, I am fucked.
     - Didn’t think that exit through, did ya?
     - Are you gonna keep telling me that? You think if I had thought anything through I would’ve gone ahead with this marriage?
     - Fella can’t be that bad. Call him, I’m sure he’d let you crash in your bridal suite.
     - He’s probably thinking about how he can sue me for running away from the wedding at this moment.
     - You’re a pain, Diane Chambers. - he walked away from the bar, sitting in front of her. - Maybe you can make a pillow out of all that fabric.
      - Thank you for your phone. - she got up. - I have to go and figure out where I’m staying until Georgia comes.
       - You’re not gonna find anything close by. The motel is a 30 minute car-drive and it is pouring rain outside. Just stay here until your friend comes to pick you up.
       - I don’t need your pity.
       - Oh, doll, I don’t pity you. Spoiled rich girl ran away from her wedding? I’m laughing at you, yet at the same time, I don’t want ‘ya dying anywhere near my bar and bringing bad publicity.
       - Bad publicity? To a biker bar? That’s rich.
       - Offer is fading every second.
       - I guess.
He guided her upstairs where a few doors were locked. She wondered if this had been a bed and breakfast before or if he had attempted to turn it into a bed and breakfast ad had quit. Whatever reason it was, she was happy to find a warm bed awaiting her, a soft place to land and forget that she was still wearing her wedding clothing.
      - Thank you. - she mumbled. - I will pay you once I get my wallet.
      - I seriously doubt it, doll. Anyway, we open at 6AM, you’ll probably hear it.
      - That’s ok.
      - Well ... - he puts his hands in his pockets. - Goodnight, Diane Chambers.
      - My name’s Y/N. - she said. - I’d rather you call me Y/N.
      - Chris. Anyway, my bedroom is two doors down the hall if you need me.
(...)
The day broke, yet she did not wake up with the sound of the glasses clinking and everyone cheering and drinking until she heard a knock on her door. She groaned, yawning as she got up from the pillow, her legs twisted in the fabric of her wedding dress as another knock was heard. God, was someone dying?
     - Y/N. - a familiar voice had her slightly more alert. - There’s a jittery nightmare of a woman looking for you.
     - Georgia! - she mumbled happily to herself, getting up from the bed and opening the door to see Chris standing there in a very low cut shirt. Low cut enough to make her cheeks heat. - Is it Georgia?
     - Whoever it is, get her out my bar.
She rushed down the stairs to find her friend, looking confused and worried about where she was. Georgia had always been a indie bar sort of person, Y/N guessed a biker bar was not something she’d be interested in, unless she found someone attractive or interesting enough to keep her around.
     - Oh god, you’re alive. - she rushed to hug her friend. - That dress is an absolute disgrace! I’m so glad I RSVP no to your wedding.
     - If you’d gone you would’ve saved me the hassle.
     - You know I hate your fiancé ... well, ex-fiancé now but don’t worry, I got a moving company to get whatever’s yours from his flat, and your bridesmaids got you your phone and wallet.
     - Thanks, G. I’m sorry you had to drive down so early.
     - Would’ve been here earlier if it wasn’t for shitty New York weather. Anyway, should we get going? We can get McDonalds on the way home.
     - As long as you two are out of my bar. - Chris snickered from behind them. - Try not to run away from any more weddings, Diane Chambers.
     - Who’s Diane Chambers? - Georgia turned towards Y/N.
     - Nevermind. - Y/N sighed. - Thank you, Chris. Really, I’m really thankful.
     - Whatever. - he mumbled.
(...)
Running a bar was easy, Chris found. It didn’t take much brain power as most customers were too drunk or too busy in their own thoughts to cause him any trouble. Days were the same and he was alright with it, he was alright with serving alcohol and peanuts and cleaning glasses. It was much better than his past position and despite bikers gathering a bad rep, they didn’t cause him that much trouble.
    - Heard the little bride spent the night here. - Bill looked at him through his beer glass. - Did you have fun?
    - Wouldn’t you like to know, Bill?
    - Wouldn’t hurt ‘ya to sleep with a nice lady every once in a while.
    - I gotta save all the ladies for you, Bill. - he smirked. - Besides, the last thing I need is a spoiled rich girl in my bed.
    - That’s not very nice. - he turned towards the source of the voice to see her standing there. He almost didn’t recognise her not in her wedding dress. Instead of the copious amounts of lace and silk, she was dress in smart clothing, a tight black pencil skirt and a white see through blouse. Heck, Chris was almost sure he could smell her perfume and it was doing ... things to him. - You would be so lucky to a spoiled rich girl in your bed.
    - It’s the little bride. - Bill turned around in his seat. - Came back from me, sweets?
    - Drink your beer. - Chris rolled his eyes. - Diane Chambers, you clean up nice. Run away from a meeting this time?
    - I came to pay you. - she took her wallet from her bag. - How much is it for the night?
    - I don’t need your charity.
    - It’s not charity. I’m paying you for your services.
    - Well, I don’t need it. - he shrugged.
    - I’d like another Coke then. - she sat down. - Would you like something, sir? I’m buying.
    - You should come around more often. - Bill happily got another beer.
Chris wasn’t sure when it became part of his routine to see her in his bar every Friday night. She clearly didn’t fit, always walking in her smart clothing, looking like a sheep in a wolf’s den. The usual bikers had taken a liking to her, treating her like their daughter but Chris was yet to warm up to her. They were not similar, she was a lawyer at a prestigious law firm and he, well, he ran a bar.
    - Why do you have so many bedrooms upstairs? - she asked as he finished cleaning up some glasses.
    - Came with the place when I bought it.
    - You could make a little bed and a breakfast. 30 minutes away from New York, people would like it.
    - It’s in the middle of nowhere, little lawyer Diane.
    - Would it kill you to call me Y/N?
    - Yes, actually. - he shrugged. - Should you be heading back home?
    - I guess maybe I should call you Sam Malone. You’re just as a much of an asshole. - she smiled.
    - Ooo ... mean. - he chuckled. - Hanging out here is not gonna find you a new fiancé.
    - Being this grumpy won’t find you a fiancée either.
    - Don’t need a lady all up on my business.
    - If I didn’t know you better, I’d say someone broke your non-existent heart.
He placed a glass back on the shelf in a rather forceful manner, ignoring her. Y/N furrowed her brows, looking around the empty bar and wondering if she’d hit a soft spot.
    - Who broke your heart? - she asked, softly this time.
    - I thought you said I had a non-existent heart, Y/N.
    - Y/N? Wow, I must’ve hit a really painful spot for you to call me by my name. - she attempted to lightened the mood but it didn’t work. Instead, he continued drying and polishing his glasses. - I’m sorry if I hurt you, Chris. I didn’t mean to.
    - My fianceé took a page from your book and ran away from our wedding.
    - Oh ...
    - With my best friend. Got the money from the wedding refunds and the deposit from the house and bought this bar. Trust me, I don’t need a lady all up in my business, specially if they all run away at weddings.
    - Is that why you were rude to me when I first came here?
    - Don’t be over conceited. I was rude to you because you get in my nerves.
    - Well, I can’t get that much on your nerves if you offered me to stay and still let me drink here.
    - The only reason I let you drink here is because Bill likes you around.
    - Sure. - she got up from her seat, picking her bag. - Well, goodnight, Chris.
    - Diane? - he called up to her. - You coming next week?
    - I don’t know. - she smirked. - Maybe.
    - Don’t be a pain and arrive 5 minutes before closure or I’ll throw you off one day.
    - Goodnight, Chris.
    - Goodnight, Y/N.

'Critics have given positive reviews to Oppenheimer, Christopher Nolan's sweeping new biographical thriller about the "father of the atomic bomb".
The film features an all-star ensemble cast led by Cillian Murphy as the US physicist, J Robert Oppenheimer.
The Independent called the "clever, imaginative" film Nolan "at his best", while the Telegraph said actor Murphy "dazzles as the destroyer of worlds".
The Guardian's Peter Bradshaw deemed the movie "flawed, but extraordinary".
Inspired by the Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph And Tragedy Of J Robert Oppenheimer, the film tells the story of the enigmatic Manhattan Project scientist, who had a leading role in developing the atomic bomb, changing the course of World War II.
He "gave us the power to destroy ourselves and that had never happened before", director Nolan told BBC Culture editor Katie Razzall.
Commissioned by the US Government, who saw themselves in a nuclear race with the Nazis, in 1945 scientists in New Mexico detonated a test bomb, codenamed Trinity.
Their invention was later used, controversially, to end the war, when an atomic bomb was dropped on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki to devastating effect.
The Telegraph's Robbie Collin awarded five stars, saying: "Nolan's portrait of the father of the nuclear bomb is a triumph, like witnessing history itself being split open."
"Oppenheimer is a film that works simultaneously on the most intimate and cosmic scales," he wrote.
"It's at once a speeding rollercoaster and a skin-tingling spiritual portrait; an often, classically-minded period piece that only Nolan could have made, and only now, after a quarter-century's run-up."
He added: "Playing Oppenheimer from his early 20s to late 50s, the 47-year-old Murphy gives the performance of his life, imbuing Oppenheimer's body with an enthralling nervous eroticism and his voice with a noirish musicality that reminds you of [Humphrey] Bogart."
In another five-star review, Empire Magazine's Dan Jolin called Murphy "compelling throughout".
"A masterfully constructed character study from a great director operating on a whole new level. A film that you don't merely watch, but must reckon with."
In a four-star review in the Guardian, Bradshaw said the film "captures the most agonising of success stories".
"This is the big bang, and no one could have made it bigger or more overwhelming than Nolan," he wrote.
"He does this without simply turning it into an action stunt - although this movie, for all its audacity and ambition, never quite solves the problem of its own obtuseness: filling the drama at such length with the torment of genius-functionary Oppenheimer at the expense of showing the Japanese experience and the people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki."
He described Murphy as "an eerily close lookalike for Oppenheimer… very good at capturing his sense of solitude and emotional imprisonment".
Writing in the Times, critic Ed Potton, who also awarded the film four stars, hailed Murphy's performance as "explosive in a breathtaking movie".
The Evening Standard's Charlotte Sullivan agreed that the "dark, immersive epic gives Cillian Murphy the role of his career".
Speaking ahead of the film's release, the Irish star told journalists the role had taken "a toll" on him "but in a brilliant way".
"It was the biggest, most exhilarating challenge," he said.
Co-star Matt Damon revealed he had told his wife he would take a break from acting, unless "Chris Nolan called".
Nolan is best known for his Dark Knight trilogy, as well as films including Inception, Dunkirk and Tenet. He makes history with Oppenheimer - which also features Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh and Robert Downey Jr - as the first film with sequences shot on black and white IMAX film.
The Hollywood Reporter's David Rooney called the movie a "scorching depiction of America's ability to create and destroy its heroes."
While the four-act structure "asks a lot of the film's audience", he commented "our patience and concentration are amply rewarded".
Handing the film four stars, the Independent's Clarisse Loughrey called Oppenheimer "Nolan's best and most revealing work".
"It's a profoundly unnerving story told with a traditionalist's eye towards craftsmanship and muscular, cinematic imagination."
She praised its non-linear structure - a common feature of Nolan films - and its "beautifully lensed" cinematography, but added: "It's a little too conscious of itself, and the ways cinema crafts its own reality."
Christopher Nolan's other films include the Dark Knight Trilogy, Inception and Dunkirk Rolling Stone reviewer David Fear said the movie is "big, loud, and a must-see", describing it as "thrilling and wonky, brilliant and overstuffed, too much and not enough".
Speaking after this week's New York premiere, Paul Schrader, who wrote the Martin Scorsese-directed Taxi Driver, hailed Oppenheimer as "the best, most important film of this century".
"If you see one film in cinemas this year it should be Oppenheimer", Schrader wrote on Facebook, making his views on the Barbenheimer battle clear.
"I'm not a Nolan groupie but this one blows the door off the hinges."
Oppenheimer is in cinemas from Friday 21 July.'
