Portion of a 1995 Tokyo News Station segment about Otakon 95 in which executives from Bandai America and DIC Entertainment discuss their (poor) effort to westernize Sailor Moon for US consumers  This is obviously hilarious but it also speaks to how little understanding Bandai America and Dic had in anime as a genre, and how little faith they had in Sailor Moon and it’s intended audience (young girls) when they first decided to bring the anime to North America imo
