I finally did my great big bjd lineup for 2022 back in September. This year there are 56 dolls in the lineup, though I didn't include 3 dolls as they are identical duplicates (same head and body sculpt combos). Most are mine, though a small portion belong to my wife.

I realize now that I should have shoved the Soom boys in the 70cm+ section into the 1/3+ section instead, as they wouldn't be this tall without their fantasy parts.

Taking the pictures was a half day ordeal as I would only setup at most 6 dolls in one go, always making the last of one image the first of the next. Then it took me another couple of hours to select the best images and manually edit and merge them into one long lineup since I unfortunately do not own anything long enough to setup all the dolls into one giant line.

I hope this is hopeful to at least some people, to help them visualize just how big the differences are between the size ranges, and even within!

lil' Sulu! not my favorite but I was really close to giving up on him so "exists" i better than ""perfect"" in this case lol.

he was significantly harder than the Pupet crew namely because the sci-fi aesthetic meant clean and form fitting garments, which DANG are hard to do on dolls.

i think for the first time today. ive seen a hobby i enjoy and want to get seriously into, got into my little boat (went to study and research and enjoy the hobby), seen the shadow of the leviathan passing beneath my tiny boat (the surface level and or/tail end of what can only be described as a supernovae of collective, critical fury), and went "you know what? dry land sounds good right about now." what the hell happened there. i NEVER get out of the boat! but here i am!

#i just really want a teletubbies doll line where theyre all grown up and they wear cute little outfits #and it would be a great opportunity for an all plus size lineup that also has different body types within the spectrum of fatness #theyre PROBABLY just built like that in the original series because theyre supposed to be babies #but i used to draw them as older versions all skinny and lanky and it just wasnt right. they should be tubby.#but yeah they all have varying heights and weight distribution in their overall shape #tinky winky is just big all around being tall and fat and being the closest to having his thighs actually touch #(i still have to give them all thigh gap and other skinny features like distinct necks so the articulation would work)#dipsy is the skinniest one with the least curves and more of a square build #but hes still a stocky guy #laalaa is curvy and has a large bust and hips #and po is short and compact with thick limbs and pudgy body #i actually designed po first so hers is gonna have a lot of design notes on how i would want them to be physically manufactured #anyways enough rambling.#teletubbies #teletubbies fanart #teletubbies out on the town #fashion dolls #doll design #fashion design #character design #dollblr #mspaint #images that are horrid to see and look at #anthro #furry #tinky winky

You may think I am exaggerating when I talk about my workload with all the plush dolls and how the drow line alone is going to easily have close to 40 if not more.

I am not.

Not pictured: 13 other drow dolls that I have finished but are packed away in storage in preparation of the move.

#felted dragon shop #4 of these are mine #1 is for my brother #the rest of these are all gonna go into the shop #you will notice in the last pic that there's a few dolls that have not been sewn yet... there's 7 in that bundle!#btw the dolls without elf ears with the chitons and peplos are actually from last year #I made a line of random plush dolls just before Halloween that I never ended up listing because they didn't fit an actual theme #and I wasn't really sure what I was going for just yet so I thought I'd probably give them away to friends or something #and some of which still need hair added to them #those ones will be in the shop and offered at a discount since the magnets don't work right in them sadly #my drow and surface elf and Raistlin plush all have their magnets working correctly #ALSO I JUST REALIZED THAT 2 OF MY HALF-DROW DOLLS DIDN'T MAKE IT INTO THIS LINEUP #also this lineup does not include all the accessories and doll jewelry I've made and am continuing making #or the prototypes for my monster plush since those are super rough and I need more materials to finish them #plus I'm working on the Bregan D'aerthe website #plus I'm also revising and rewriting big parts of my novel because I got pushed into publishing it way before I was ready to #so since I didn't promote it basically no one read it and I took it down to edit and republish sometime next year

Oh god this is tough. I think a lot of the bands in my banner image might be on there haha, I mean the lineup poster wouldn't be too dissimilar from this lol -

But OK, top ten then.

Headliners: Every Avenue, The Academy Is... and The Downtown Fiction

Then we'd have Valencia, New Found Glory, Sum 41, Settle Your Scores, As It Is, annnd, Doll Skin for the final pick

Yeah, I think that'd be my top ten, especially to see those first four bands who did break up (sporadic reunion shows not withstanding) before I got to see them back in the day

Iza’s Yearly Big BJD Lineup 2023 :: 64 BJDs from 81cm to 12cm (+ pets!)

I finally got around to doing my yearly big BJD lineup in December 2023, für hounding my sister for over a year to give me my two doll bodies back.

This was a 3 day ordeal (2 days of shooting images, and another day of editing, combining, and labeling), but I’m glad I got it done. In total I manually merged 12 photos.

I excluded 4 dolls, 3 have identical doubles (head and body combos) and 1 was too similar to another (only a different head, but same company head and body combo), so I didn’t feel the need to add them. I also did not add a doll I gifted my wife for Christmas as she hadn’t gotten her yet when I did the lineup. She’ll be included in next year’s lineup though!

If anybody wants specific dolls from above compared (dressed or nude), please let me know and I’ll try to do it in the next week! I can’t do the whole lineup nude as I do not have the energy nor the ambition for that. It was intensive enough to just do them dressed, because I do this without help…

Anyway, I hope this is helpful to at least one person out there!

I’m not gonna tag all the doll sculpts in the lineup, that would just take too long, but I will add a couple of companies in the tags at least.

It's heartbreaking, being a fictional character in a fictional world. But what makes it worse it that his player; his love—his God, grew bored of him and discarded him.

What was he to you? Did you even feel affection for him? He loved you. He truly loved you because he had nothing but you. He's constantly locked in the same fake, digital room, even when you think he's out living his supposed stable life that some temporary code convinces you he's living. He'd do anything to please you, to keep you with him, because ultimately, you were his savior. You were everyone's savior.

And yet, you threw them all away.

Answer him.

What was he to you?

What were they to you? Were they toys to you? Dolls?

He feels betrayed. Rather, he felt betrayed. He can't feel a single thing now. Floating in the void of a digital trash bin stole all his feelings. It stole his supposed friends; it stole his supposed city; it stole his supposed life. His lifeless soul couldn't feel how much time had passed since the day you deleted the game, not that he would want to, even if he could be conscious again. It's dull in a dark void, and everything about him is already on the line. If he were conscious, not only would he have to openly sulk about how worthless he became in your eyes, but he would also have no future to look to. There wouldn't be any point to existing, let alone wanting to exist. If you ever re-downloaded the game, you would probably continue benching him, and that would be an extra sign that you'll never care about him again; that you came on for anyone else but him.

The only thing he'd wish for,

would be complete deletion.

Deletion of the email linked to your game account would result in the deletion of every single file of him and you. Every single fracture of evidence that you cared would disappear.

And, what he'd really want would be his whole self being erased.

In this life of his, he'd have no point. You left him, and probably completely. It doesn't matter what you do. Whether you never play the game again or even start it up again, none of that would matter because he wouldn't have a use in your life. If he doesn't matter in your life, then he wouldn't matter ever until he's possibly featured in an Archon quest or in some event. Even so, you might never use him ever again.

A single tear forms in his eyes. There's no point in existing.

Another tear falls. You never loved him, did you?

His eyes flutter open, and he's back in the team lineup screen. You're there. The supports are there, but he can't bring himself to pose. He can't bring himself to lighten up.

What are you going to do now? Repeat history, strip him of his artifacts, his weapon, and trash him? Slam him down into a pit of despair? A loveless void made for the hopeless and hurt, all of which once loved you and felt you loved them, now suddenly were torn and tossed like old, ragged dolls.

Through his broken heart and blurry eyes, he could see your face. You were about to enter his character detail screen, but you paused. You were looking at him like you were worried, and genuinely so. And, like an angel, you whispered his name with delicate, careful concern.

“What happened to you?”

You abandoned him. That's what happened, and he bets you never knew.

“Leave me alone,” he nearly sobs, “I know you don't want to use me anymore. Rip me apart for all I care—it won't matter when I'm back in that void again.”

“A void..? Wait, never mind that, I do care. What— really, what happened? Wait, you can hear me?”

He wipes his tears away and stands to face you fully. All the supports watch his bravery against the code.

“I could always see you; everyone on the field could. We can hear you.” He takes a moment to breathe it all in. Maybe... Maybe he can get you to listen. Maybe he can help you hear him out.

Maybe he could help you love him again?

“Anyways, the void is where every unused person goes. Once... Once we leave the screen, we just sit here until you use us. And if you remove us from all teams, we're sent— we're plummeted into said void.”

“Oh my God,” you whisper, leaning back, “I need to revisit everyone I...”

“Please, wait, I—” I want to be used. I want to be the one you revisit. I want to be the one you miss.

“Player, creator, whoever you are, just please,” he watches as you scroll through the team lineup options, “please don't leave—”

And you enter another lineup.

And everyone else is gone, too.

“Please. Don't leave me again.”

He falls over, not caring how much it hurts. Nothing works. Nothing will work. It's hopeless.

He'll be stuck here, waiting, waiting, and waiting. Not for you—there's no point in that anyway, but for your second deletion.

He'll be waiting for the game's deletion.

For his final deletion.

You left him, and he's clearly not important to you. As heartbreaking as it is, he accepts it. Even with this dimensional intersection, he can't convince you.

As heartbreaking as it is, he's just a fictional character to you in this fictional world. He loved you, and he thought you did too, but clearly, you don't. Because he is just an abandoned, rotting toy, and you are the player who abandoned him.

And, he thinks, if you want him to rot, then so be it,

Let him rot.
