WOOHOOO finished commission for @/.r9cket on discord :3! This was a really fun project to work on + I learned a lot of things with it!

first of all im obsessed with this. second of all im gonna set the scene. picture this.

@anna-scribbles. me. anna’s friend. we’re sitting the three of us at a lunch table. anna’s friend is new to me and i have begged her. begged her. each time this luncheon has been brought up to not involve me in the miraculous ladybug talk because i have a Process of introducing that side of myself which is: not at all. and the whole time anna has been nodding along, nodding along, and also saying “sure >:). of course i’ll do that >:)” kind of half jokingly. and here anna’s friend comes along to this luncheon where i am white knuckling my utensils staring at anna every time she opens her mouth because, inevitably, we are talking about adrien agreste. and anna’s friend asks me if ive ever seen this ladybug and cat show and anna looks at me from across the table like

and i look anna’s friend in the eye and i say, “well anna talks about it a lot, and i guess ive seen parts of it, but that’s all!🤗” like a liar. and that’s when anna starts pulling up her ao3. and she mentions tumblr user peachcitt who she has collaborated with on various fics and things before. she talks on and on about tumblr user peachcitt until i am forced to say, out loud, that she should stop or else “i’ll get jealous of that tumblr friend of yours because i, the person you make promises to with verbal words out loud, am your real best friend.” because that is funny enough for anna to stop talking since she is so busy laughing that i am able to jump in and ‘save myself.’ to redirect i talk about percy jackson.

if you were to summarise sirius' personality and character traits, how would you do it?

hi hi hi! so sorry for long this took but okay, so, let’s do this.

so, his CORE trait for me will always be loyalty, hands down. i once waxed poetic about sirius’ devotion to the potters to my friends for like, half an hour straight (one of them actually teared up). the way he talks about james even after so many years, how his first instinct is always to look out for harry, how everyone talked about him & j even when they believed he was the traitor—all of it just really drives home how he gives all of himself to someone when he decides to. if someone’s his person then he’ll do whatever it takes for them (if you’re not, tho? ur lucky if u even get a look in ur direction)

he’s also very competent. he was probably brought up as a pampered heir, with access to all the resources his little heart desired, so coupled w his innate ability/potential/aptitude, it becomes a deadly combination. he uses logic to work through things, prides himself on his intelligence, and probably wouldn’t like hanging out with people who can’t atleast match him in some sense (so laziness/incompetence grates badly).

as a corollary, he’s also pretty arrogant, in that casual sense that old money people are ykwim? he’s had the world on a silver platter his entire life, and even when he’s cut off from it, it’s still a part of him. there’s also the fact that he’s got a lot going for him—looks, power, smarts wise—and that just adds to it. so it can be off putting or it can be hot or both, but he has a superiority complex and he doesn’t exactly hide it. less interaction with the plebs, the better for him.

irreverence and dark humor!!! sirius copes using morbid jokes and making people uncomfortable; he has slight control issues and this way, he makes sure everyone’s always on their toes. it’s also like,,,a way to kind of gauge how others will react to him based on how they deal w his humor. bc he’s not sunshine and roses, right? and he doesn’t want anyone treating him like it or expecting him to be so. and in a way, their reactions to his jokes correlated to their degree of acceptance for him.

intense. when it comes to things he likes, he’s very passionate about it, almost with a single minded focus. and it can get A Lot. he operates in a lot of extremes, right? so either 0 or 100 and this comes across in the way he interacts with people, the level of interest he shows to things, and how much effort he puts in, if it’s His Thing, then he won’t leave a stone unturned but if he doesn’t care? then he will not give a single shit

soooo, these are some of the things i very strongly believe in for sirius 🙈 tell me what u think? (and as always, @artemisia-black has some great metas on sirius’ character so i’d recommend checking those out for sure!)

This is the reason why everyone in the fandom says his solos are the worst because everyone always keep only talking about his solos by specifically calling them out.

I need you to take a step back, read through your ask, and realize that the only people who talk like this are akgaes or people sympathetic to akgaes. And then ask yourself why anyone in their right mind would take a request like that seriously.

Akgaes in general are demented, as we’ve established. BTS akgaes are especially delusional, manipulative and abusive, and PJMs happen to be the most prevalent in the jikook space I’m currently in. PJMs in particular like to occupy the same spaces (or adjacent spaces) as jikookers since many of them are ex-jikookers themselves, and so it’s only natural that as Chapter 2 roll-outs have started and I spend time in a jikook space, I deal more with them on my blog. And so many of the discussions have revolved around Jimin and his akgaes as a result. You can also read this post I linked here recently where I talk about how I deal with PJMs in my inbox specifically.

On Twitter, while on my pocket of ARMY twt the solos we monitor are for all seven members, it’s true certain groups of shooters target certain groups of akgaes, and some shooter groups single out PJMs and MYGs specifically. But like I said in glossary post yesterday, shooters and akgaes, occupy the same spaces in fandom and function in similar ways. You should be avoiding them all not looking for anything to salvage in the reputation of some akgaes among other akgaes just because you think they support your bias and are unfairly targeted.

PJMs too more than any other set of akgaes, like to announce themselves in my inbox for whatever reason, and they move in waves, which I find weird but only just confirms my impression that they’re the loudest of the maknae-line solos. Not even after my Seven posts did I get JJKs being that loud and uncouth in my inbox and I was significantly harsher in my assessment of Seven and JK, than I was of FACE and Jimin. PJMs act like lunatics, spend all their time egging on other lunatics who have generally the same views about their biases and rival members, just flipped, and then get offended when they and the rest of their akgae compatriots are named as such.

Akgaes have earned their reputation in all k-pop fandoms over literal decades for a reason. Their behaviours are predictable and overwhelmingly destructive to the members they claim to support. They’re only tolerated within ARMY as they provide supplemental manpower for rote tasks like streaming, voting, and buying which they do very well. For any longer term strategic goals, they’re too myopic, too impulsive, and too loud that their actions inevitably backfire on their faves, leaving the fandom to clean it up. If the last 6 months didn’t show this for you, then there’s nothing more to say.

This blog is not a place where I take concerns on akgaes of any member seriously. Just FYI. You’re going to have to go to another blog for that content.
