Doug Walker Jumpscare

My routine for the last full week has just been work, sleep, and slowly force myself through all of Channel Awesome's movies. More accurately 2 of those days were spent watching Kickassia and Suburban Knights, and the last 5 have been me procrastinating finishing To Boldly Flee, because god, that movie has got to be one of the single most unbearable things I have ever watched. I watched them all in the form of a Twitch stream with commentary and The 9/11 Brothers (don't worry about it.) and I don't think I could've gotten through any of those films without those 2 silly little ducks. To be fair, Suburban Knights, and Kickassia weren't the worst, like I found some enjoyment from those 2, especially Kickassia that movie was just genuinely fun, but I could not tell you a single thing about To Boldly Flee other than that every scene was really awkward in a non-funny way.

Doug Walker is like, actually so unfunny that he integer underflows into being the funniest person ever entirely on his own, every single scene involving him (which was almost all of them) became extremely entertaining after a certain point. He has 3 jokes, and 2 tones of voice and he acts exactly the same in every situation, he always feels like he is simultaneously trying way too hard and also has no clue what he's doing acting. It was so hard to tell when a scene was supposed to be serious, or if it was him being self-aware and making fun of himself, like some of those scenes have to be ironic, they can't not be, but they're filmed and acted in the exact same way as the actually serious scenes it's such a mess. Like it sounds like I'm just making fun of him at this point, which I am I think anyone who's ever talked about these movies inevitably does because it's really easy to do, however I did genuinely find these movies (with the exception of To Boldly Flee, which to be fair was probably just because I watched all of these movies back to back and that was not a good idea) to be really fun to watch, and it's very clear that Doug had actual genuine passion in making these and probably really enjoyed filming them (even if the rest of the crew very clearly did not).

This has been like the least productive week ever, I have done NOTHING all because I refused to let myself do anything until I finished these films in their entirety. Tbh I do this a lot, I will very frequently start something and refuse to move onto anything else until that thing is complete, no matter how unimportant it is, it's kind of a problem ngl lol. The worst part is whenever I do just say fuck it and move on without finishing something, it will eat away at me for an indefinite amount of time afterwards, 2 years ago I played Persona 4, got to the final boss then just stopped, like I didn't even attempt the fight I just stopped despite enjoying the game and being at the very end, and that has haunted me ever since.

I don't know where to put this because I suck at structuring things, but like, I just want to bring up a few of my favorite moments (all of them are from Kickassia my brain completely turned off for the other 2 I don't remember shit). The scene where Cinema Snob gets exiled from Kickassia and everyone just awkwardly stares at him as he walks away is easily the best part of any of these movies, it's filmed so weirdly, and it goes on for way too long, like it feels like just a full minute of cutting back and forth between him walking off into the desert, and everyone else on the other side of a fence waving. The point where they just straight up play a random clip from Board James completely out of nowhere was also peak fiction, I love how that small clip of someone else's Youtube show is filmed so significantly better than this full length movie. Another really odd thing is that Doug is just like, obsessed with Ma-Ti from Captain Planet, like he's a recurring character in all 3 of his films, like why him, it just feels so random? I literally don't remember a single other moment from any of these films they left so little impact I actually remember more about the 3 minute Board James cameo than anything else why did I waste my week doing this it wasn't even that funny.

Aww that’s so sweet I legit am constantly convinced my rambling is annoying but glad to hear someone likes it 🫡 (literally giggling and kicking my feet rn)

Also this I think is the first like proper ask I’ve got 🎉🥳

I have A LOT of thoughts about Eddie and Maddie so you may eat your words a little but it’s fine🤩

Maddie and Eddie for me really deserve more scenes together not just because of their link through buck but through the fact that the writers make very distinctive parallels between Maddie and Eddie and Buck and Chimney.

Lemme explain, Maddie is the carer older sibling who had to step in and be parentified in a way, Eddie’s dad wasn’t around so he was forced to do the same, both of them bottle up their emotions for the sake of the people they love until it comes out in extreme ways and they both struggled with the similar mental health issues, they are both runners in one way or another- Maddie is canonically “the one who leaves” and Eddie left to go to the army at different points of Christopher’s childhood and also when he left to go to dispatch you can also argue that was part of that. Also they both feel a lot of guilt surrounding the fact that they weren’t there for their kids’ babyhood (is that a word? I’m making it one) eventhough in my opinion neither were to blame for their circumstances, both had first marriages that ended badly (understatement for Maddie obviously) and that they have mixed feelings about. Also both of them forgave their parents despite how they wronged them.

The buck and chimney parallels are also unreal but I’ll try to limit myself a little cos that wasn’t the ask, but like they were both the sibling that was unloved and deprived of their parents love they both sought honorary parents in a way (lees for chimney, bobby and Athena for buck obviously), both have the whole 152783 million deaths but always somehow lucky thing going for them, both are very big emotions people, they both struggled to feel seen by past partners, they both had no clue what they were doing and had many different jobs prior to firefighting even both were shown as bartenders as their last jobs before firefighting. Okay I’m cutting myself off - about chimney and buck at least.

But yeah the Maddie and Eddie parallels should make them have at least some scenes together and I feel like they can hit a lot of emotional beats together for scenes well.

Like their personalities and experiences are similar enough that they could be such an iconic duo but too similar to have pulled off a Maddie/Eddie thing like the writers initially planned (let’s all once again thank god for Jennifer love Hewitt🙏🥰) like can you imagine Maddie fresh off the trauma from Doug having to step in and be part of Eddie’s family? Or Eddie’s fighting era or Eddie’s mental breakdown if it was Maddie instead of buck? Like Maddie and Eddie both need a balance of the type of people they are, a yin to their yang (or actually maybe more Yang to their yin 😭😭) and those people are chimney and buck!!!

I also definitely think Maddie knew about buddie since day one like girlie dropped the boy crush comment then the he’s cute followed by buck talking about Eddie not chimney felt like her testing her theory like she legit walked away before he finished talking with this little ‘that’s what I thought skittles squad😌’ look on her face.

I’m not caffeinated enough to think anymore but yes 10000% on board with the Maddie and Eddie siblings in law thing for those reasons and also cos Eddie befriends every woman within 5 minutes of meeting her (unless it’s one of bucks romantic interests😭😭) and yet we haven’t really seen him and Maddie interact, like we’ve had how many buck hospital visits and not one Maddie and Eddie in the waiting room scene?? Rude as hell if you ask me

GALTx eNews: Kristina Is Running For The Hounds!

Kristina dreamed of adopting a Greyhound for years. Last summer, she and her partner, Doug, finally agreed the time was right. They submitted their application to the local adoption group, GALT New Mexico. Their family already included a rescue dog, Grete, and a rescue cat, Tommy, so they prepared for a long wait for a cat safe hound to come their way.

To help pass the time, Kristina decided to help the hounds by running a marathon as a fundraiser for GALT. She has been training hard and will run in the Eugene marathon on Sunday, April 28, 2024. She has run several shorter races, but this will only be her fifth marathon! Kristina says she isn’t all that fast at 62 years young, but she still loves running! It’s a shared love in the family, and Doug will join her for the half marathon.

Meanwhile, long-time Greyhound adoption volunteers in Arizona came together to launch GALT Arizona. As luck would have it, one of the group’s first deliveries from Australia included a cat safe hound, Oisin. Oisin wasn’t originally scheduled to make the flight from Australia at all. He was a last minute substitute for another hound. But that little bit of luck was all he needed. GALT Arizona and GALT New Mexico worked together to bring Oisin to his new family. Kristina and Doug picked him up on March 30th!

Oisin will now be known as Pre, named after legendary American runner Steve Prefontaine. Pre is adjusting well to his new home and is already much loved. Please help us cheer Kristina on as she races to help the hounds and help us welcome Pre to his new forever home with a gift to Kristina’s Facebook fundraiser. I’ve been on the net for a long time, but I also missed some big culturally important net events and people entirely because back then, the internet used to not be centralized as it is today, and most of my time was spent in online games and niche interest forums, with Youtube being something I only used for music, when that came into existence.

This sometimes leads to conversations where I’ll explain to some people some deep lore events from many years ago and how the consequences or just the cultural baggage of said events can still be felt to this day in ever-present ways, like Encyclopedia Dramatica’s lasting effects, or give context to old net terminology like “Eternal September”, and seconds later, the same people will have to explain to me who The Guy With The Glasses is or what Homestar Runner was.

Anyways, today I learned who Doug Walker is and what Homestar Runner was.

"Alright, you guys ready?"

(M/n) and Mikah nodded, facing each other and ready to go at it. Gally smirked and tilted his head, stepping out of the fight circle, his eyes filled with amusement as he stared at them.

"Then... Fight!" With cheering going on in the background, they both charged at each other, laughing as they tripped and pushed each other, trying their best to win. Gally crossed his arms and observed in silence, while the rest of the guys around hyped them up.

He had been monitoring the fights (M/n) had with the Builders, and of course, he was being fair, he gave advice to either of the fighters, telling them what to do and what to avoid. They had been going at it since late afternoon, rushing their tasks as quickly as they could, just so incredibly hyped and excited to help (M/n) beat Stan's ass.

That, and it has been a while since a fighting circle was made outside the typical bonfires they had, so the expectation was high.

"Damn, you're tough," Mikah mumbled to (M/n) as he stood up after tripping over his own feet, but managing to not fall out of the circle. (M/n) smiled at that, and shrugged.

"I learned from the best," Gally felt his body warming up, and he made brief eye contact with (M/n)'s (e/c) eyes, who winked his way.

No one said anything about it, but they did notice the interaction they had, sparing glances amongst themselves, having a whole conversation through their eyes, but everyone continued cheering the fight as it dragged on.

All the noise caught the attention of a few Gladers walking near the place, and they would either walk away or approach someone to ask what was going on, "We're helping (M/n) get ready for his fight with Stan!" They would cheerfully answer, receiving raised eyebrows in surprise.

Many of them were skeptical about the whole "fight ordeal" and were pretty sure a girl had no chance against someone like Stan, but seeing them fighting Glader after Glader made them feel like they underestimated how strong (M/n) really was. And this made more of them gather around, wanting to watch or even participate, but the sun had started to set, so they really didn't have many options other than to leave it for tomorrow.

Now, Brick-nicks, Slicers, and a few Runners had heard of this "tournament" Gally and (M/n) were doing to get the latter ready, and they asked to join, receiving an affirmative answer from both of them.

Of course, with all of this situation going on, someone had to inform Alby about what was actively going on in the Glade, that someone was Fry, who was still worried about the outcome of this fight, but even if neither of them were happy about it, both sides -(M/n) and Stan- had agreed to it, so Alby had no voice over the matter now, even as the Leader.

While enjoying their dinner between laughs, Gally made sure to explain to (M/n) and everyone around the rules, which were similar to the original ones, but a little bit different.

"If (M/n) pushes you out the circle within five minutes, he wins, but if he doesn't, you win," He told to them, and (M/n) nodded, getting more food in his mouth.

"He has won 9 fights out of 10 so far," Doug added, an impressed and proud look on his face, while those that hadn't been around to witness it frowned, asking who beat (M/n).

"Gally," (M/n) muttered while still having his mouth full, making a few grimaces while others chuckled at his manners, "I'll win someday... Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but I will," he locked eyes with Gally, who had a smirk on his face, glee showing on his face, "Mark my words, big guy."

Dinner continued for another while, deciding to simply chill and talk with each other, a few of them making up tactics that could work against (M/n), using his weak spots to their advantage, and of course, (M/n) was planning how to counteract those tactics in his brain.

He had a feeling the next few days were gonna go by exactly the same, or they pretty much will.

The next day was a little busier, they had work to do when something broke and they had to completely replace it rather than fix it, even so, they fought between breaks, at least a few fights until they were done with work, the guys who had already lost taking care of building while the others waited their turn.

Gally was a little stressed having to supervise the fights and the Builders, but Alec had taken his place as the "referee" while he was away.

It was fun, even if not much happened. Unaware of how Jason and Zachary had been spying on them, before tailing back to Stan to tell him what was happening regarding his "rival".

And being around so many guys, specifically Gally, meant that Lucas wasn't around to bother him, just... Staring from a safe distance, always making sure he didn't lock eyes with Gally, who would rather watch (M/n) having fun and hearing his happy laugh over getting his mood soured by a dude who couldn't take a hint.

And, like the previous night, the day ended with more talking, planning tactics, and jokes.

The afternoon and evening of the next day went pretty much the same, this time adding the sounds of the Sloppers hyping Stan up as he also did his own "fights". He was fighting the skinniest and lightest guy in the Glade, who was poor Ty, another Slopper.

They didn't try to fight in a secluded area like (M/n) and the Builders did, they were fighting out in the open, in the actual fight circle where everyone could see them. Worse was that Stan was pretty proud of his strength at being able to throw the smaller guy around as he pleased. Even Lucas got dragged into it, and (M/n) enjoyed watching them, amusement shining in his eyes as he observed Stan struggle against the greenie, who was putting up a fight against the guy that had become officially his Keeper.

Yeah, Lucas wasn't good at anything, so it was fair he would be put there.

As he watched, he couldn't help but frown at the realization that Stan might as well not be taking their upcoming fight seriously, he felt as if the Keeper was mocking him, in a way. Even so, (M/n) was taking it seriously, and that's all he needed really.

But he wasn't gonna waste his deserved break just watching Stan make himself look better, he rolled his eyes and made his way back to the treehouse. Pretty much everyone was lying around on the dirt, most of them in complete silence but others, like Doug and Lee, who were messing around, chuckling to themselves.

(M/n) smiled and shook his head, quickly realizing Gally hadn't come back yet, having muttered something about getting his sketchbook, before making his way up the ladder and going inside to fetch a book. He sat on the balcony, his legs propped on one of the steps as he opened the book, resuming his reading session.

Less than five minutes had gone by when Gally showed up, his eyes landing on (M/n) as he quietly read to himself, a focused yet relaxed expression on his face, the occasional hint of a smile pulling his lips. He got closer, slowly, so as to not distract him, and he heard the faint sound of him humming the lyrics of a song.

Something in Gally's mind clicked, having some sort of déjà vú, as if he had already lived something similar to this or, more specifically, already heard the song, listening to the few lyrics (M/n) would mumble to himself. He didn't know where he heard those lyrics before, but he didn't really care, he had an idea in mind he needed to draw now.

He got on a comfortable position against a nearby tree, having a good view of (M/n) from his spot on the ground, and he got lost in his drawing as if he were trapped in a trance. His drawing turned out to be a mixture of his reality and his imagination, or more so, like the images his foggy memory showed to him.

There was something about these dandelions that he couldn't really understand, they always felt special to Gally in a weird yet comforting way, and he constantly wondered why. But now, observing the image of (M/n) he drew, sitting on a field of dandelions while reading and the wind flew his hair around, he could somehow put two and two together, but that didn't help to answer his wondering thoughts.

He just knew there was a reason why (M/n) and he felt so familiar, getting along so quickly and feeling comfortable around each other.

And why being around (M/n) made him feel safe.

The dawn of a new day arrived at the Glade, slowly waking everybody up.

(M/n) yawned and stretched as he sat up, pulling the sheets aside and rubbing his face. Some light came through his slightly opened curtains and he sighed, remembering that the fight with Stan was that day.

He didn't like to admit it, but he had been questioning his decision to fight him ever since they argued that day, maybe a fight wasn't necessary and it definitely wasn't the best approach, but it was something he said in the heat of the moment, it'll be too late and cowardly of him to back away now.

And his friends were more hyped about the whole thing than he was, which was kind of funny.

He stood up and made his way out and down the ladder, gently petting Bark who stuck his snout out of his house and (M/n) continued making his way to the Homestead, wondering if there was any coffee left, worst case he'd ask for more next Box day.

He greeted Fry, John, and Jack as they cooked breakfast, a few guys were sitting around the living room, talking in a mumble or falling asleep on their seats, (M/n) smiled at them and made his way to the kitchen. Fortunately, there was some leftover coffee when he checked the bag, and he made himself a steaming cup of coffee.

(M/n) was standing outside the kitchen, by the door, holding the cup in his hands and gently blowing on it before taking a few careful sips, and his hearing picked up the distinctive sound of Gally's footsteps as he walked out of his room. He hid his smile behind the rim of the cup as he thought of how he was able to tell the footsteps belonged to Gally, not really finding it weird.

And there he was, Gally walked down the stairs while messing with his hair, yawning as he reached the bottom, his eyes were barely open, but he managed to see (M/n) standing there, watching him with a heavy stare, making him feel vulnerable.

"Morning," he placed his hand on (M/n)'s head, messing with his hair and chuckling at the sound of his groan.

"Sleep well, big guy?" Gally hummed in response, just a neutral sound that didn't say 'yes' or 'no', it was an 'I slept' hum.

Without saying anything else, (M/n) trailed behind Gally as he got his tray, a plate filled with breakfast and a cup of juice, before making his way to the usual table they sat at. There was a comfortable silence between them for a while, until the dining area began getting lively as more Gladers showed up, and now, their table was filled.

Kurt sat next to (M/n), a mischievous smile on his face, "I'm gonna beat you today, (M/n)," they chuckled at that but Gally perked up before the (h/c) haired male could retaliate.

"Oh, about that," they looked at their Keeper, who had managed to get the other guys' attention, "We'll let (M/n) rest today to get ready for tonight, so no fighting," Kurt whined but accepted, while (M/n) had a pout on his lips.

I wanted to play around with the others...

Gally had to take a deep breath and look away, otherwise he would've given in to (M/n)'s puppy eyes.

They continued eating breakfast for a while, and shortly after, when the food had sort of settled in their stomachs, they went to get the little work they had left to do. And soon enough, they were gathered around the Box, just playing and joking around while they waited for it to arrive.

Gally watched from his spot, a smile on his face as he heard (M/n)'s laughing mixed with the others.

"God... I can't breathe..." He mumbled between laughs, standing up from his place on the ground, "Well, I'll go take a walk around, see you guys in a bit!"

Complaint whines followed his words and (M/n) simply mocked them, shaking his head and heading into the Deadheads. He greeted Bark and made sure his bowls were full, which they were, so he didn't have to fill them again and he made his way past his treehouse, further into the forest.

He hadn't really explored the Deadheads besides that one time when he came across the graves, and he was enjoying the sun shining through the leaves and branches, recognizing and finding the exact spot where Gally did some of his drawings. He wondered if there was a reason Gally would seclude himself from the other guys in the Glade, and even though he had a slight idea, he'd rather not assume, so he let the thought slip by.

He was really tempted to go back and get his Polaroid just to take pictures of the place, even if it was only trees and bushes around, it was beautiful in its own way.

With his mind busy as he contemplated his surroundings, he didn't realize the group of Gladers sneaking up on him.

The next thing (M/n) knew was that his body jerked violently as he was pushed against a tree, losing his balance and falling face down to the dirt. He coughed and gasped for air, his arms trembling as he tried to pick himself up, but a hard kick to his ribs made his hold falter, followed by the pressure of someone's foot pressing to his back, keeping him pinned to the ground.

He didn't know what was happening, he had probably hit his head against the tree because he was dizzy and disoriented, his hearing sounded as if he was underwater, and he was wondering what the shuck was going on.

"You sure about this, man?" The shaky voice of a guy asked, followed by a scoff.

"If you're gonna be a pussy then you can leave," (M/n) couldn't recognize any of the voices, so he tried to look at them and see who they were, but he was greeted with another kick to his torso, knocking the air out of his lungs, making him cough.

After that, silence engulfed them, followed by more kicks and punches. However, this attack was previously planned, his aggressors were avoiding hitting him in places where the bruises would be visible. They knew what they were doing.

He wanted to scream, he tried to, but his mouth was covered, a cold and sharp blade pressing on his neck, "Uh uh," was all the voice said, their warm breath hitting his ear and making his stomach churn. He could vomit right then and there. But he didn't.

(M/n) simply resigned himself to being beat up, taking short breaths as he kept his eyes closed and head covered, the dizzy feeling remained and clung to him.

But almost like a miracle, someone came by.

"(M/n)?"

Newt...? Newt!

He started squirming around, trying to get a kick to his aggressors, who groaned in pain and hit him harder, making him release a loud grunt, successfully getting Newt's attention, "(M/n)?!"

At the sound of an intruder, the guys around his beat-up form began scurrying away.

"Hey!" They made sure to keep their heads low as they ran through the dark parts of the Deadheads, avoiding Newt's vision as they ran away, "Shucking..."

"Newt..." He whispered weakly, struggling to sit up against the tree, and he watched with glossy eyes how the blond rushed to his side, cursing at the pain in his leg. Newt knelt next to him and helped him until he was sitting up, his back and head tilting back to rest on the tree behind him, groaning with every deep breath he took as he held his sides.

Newt didn't know what to do, (M/n) was badly beaten up and dirty, and he didn't have to ask to know what had happened, he had to get him to the med room and tell Alby what occurred so they could find the culprits. And tell Gally, who had asked him if he could go find (M/n) while he was busy with the Box

"Okay, uh... Wait here, I'll go get Gally-," Before he could stand up to leave, (M/n) held his wrist, tightly, preventing him from doing so, "(M/n), I have to tell them what happened-"

"No," he muttered, teeth gritted as he pushed himself to kneel on the dirt, "You can't tell... Anyone about this, Newt..."

The blond frowned, annoyed and confused at the way (M/n) was acting, "Listen, I don't know if you've realized, but you were used like a bloody sandbag less than five minutes ago," (M/n) didn't care, he pulled Newt closer to him, their faces inches away, trying to get his point across.

"You won't say anything about this, Newt," his eyes stared into Newt's, determined and sure of his words, "Promise me."

Newt huffed and tried to pull away from (M/n)'s grip, but it only tightened around his wrist, now hurting him. His frown deepened, his jaw clenched as he held a pained groan, maintaining eye contact with (M/n), who refused to give in.

In the end, Newt sighed, defeated "Fine, I won't tell anyone," (M/n) didn't back up, his grip loosened but he was still holding him, "You have my word, shank," after a couple of seconds went by, he was convinced that Newt wasn't gonna say anything or run away, and he let out a relieved sigh, groaning at the pull around his ribs, "Are you even in condition to fight tonight?"

Newt looked at him, worried about his current situation, but (M/n) shrugged and slowly started getting up on his feet, "Yes, of course," he responded in a breathy voice, and Newt let out a deep sigh, messing with his blond hair in frustration. He obviously wouldn't be able to withstand the fight, and yet, he was so prideful and stubborn to back off.

He stood up as well, observing (M/n) with his hands on his hips, silently judging his decisions, "Well... Gally told me to come get you, so let's go," grunting with every step, (M/n) followed Newt, trying to rub off some of the dirt sticking to his hands and face, something Newt realized, "Hold on, let me help you," he pulled the sleeve of his shirt down and held it, using it to wipe (M/n)'s face.

His expression relaxed and tears brimmed his eyes, "Thanks, Newt..." The blond was caught off guard, and he simply showed a weak smile.

"Yeah, well... There's some cream for those bruises in the med room, if you need it," (M/n) nodded and they soon continued walking, albeit a little slow since his ribs were hurting pretty bad.

By the time they appeared behind the trees, Gally was done unloading the Box and putting the supplies in their place, just a little worried about why Newt was taking so long to come back with (M/n), but there they were.

"There you are," he dropped his arm around (M/n)'s shoulder, who tried not to flinch at the pain and smiled at Gally, "Why are you so dirty?" He chuckled and reached his hand up to pull some grass out of his (h/c) hair.

"Oh, I was just playing with Bark," Newt was almost surprised at how well (M/n) was able to lie, a smile on his face and a chuckle escaping past his lips, but he saw how he shifted in place, his arm wrapped around his stomach and holding gently onto his side.

He couldn't handle watching Gally's behavior around (M/n), so he simply left without saying a word, and almost immediately making eye contact with Stan.

The Keeper of the Sloppers was surrounded by his friends, who were gossiping and laughing, while Stan had a victorious smile on his face.

Somehow, Newt wasn't surprised that he had pulled this whole stunt with (M/n), but he could only play with fire for so long before getting burnt.

Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie will lead the Ontario Liberal Party in its fight to regain official party status at Queen's Park — and challenge Premier Doug Ford in the 2026 election — after being elected the party's new leader on Saturday. The perceived front-runner throughout the campaign, Crombie finally reached the threshold of votes needed to become the next party leader late Saturday afternoon, after officials released the results of a third and final round of balloting. Crombie does not have a seat at Queen's Park. She said she would consider running for MPP in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex — the seat vacated by former labour minister Monte McNaughton in September — but wouldn't commit to putting her name on the ballot. Ideally, she said, she would run in Mississauga. Crombie said she would likely step down as Mississauga's mayor in the new year.

A friendly reminder that letting any Republican get elected president in 2024 will be a disaster for a woman's right to choose.

Donald Trump Donald Trump, the former president and GOP front-runner, has boasted about the fact that he appointed three of the Supreme Court justices who were part of the decision that overturned Roe. [ ... ] Ron DeSantis DeSantis calls himself a “pro-life candidate” and signed two abortion bans into law in Florida—a 15-week ban last year and the six-week ban this year—and suggested to Tucker Carlson in July he would sign a national version of Florida’s six-week abortion if he were president. More recently, during the second GOP presidential primary debate on Wednesday, he confirmed that he would sign a 15-week nationwide ban. [ ... ] Tim Scott Unlike some of his counterparts, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott has not shied away from abortion on the trail and has made it clear to Iowans that he supports a national abortion ban. “I am 100% pro-life. When I am president of the United States, I will sign the most pro-life legislation the House and Senate can put on my desk,” Scott wrote in a July op-ed for the Des Moines Register. [ ... ] Nikki Haley Nikki Haley, a former UN ambassador and South Carolina governor, said during a May campaign event in New Hampshire that she would sign a nationwide abortion ban, without specifying details. ALL of those candidates would appoint radical anti-abortion fanatics to the federal courts including the US Supreme Court.

Those candidates may differ on wording or nuance but are united in their desire to put a GOP uterus cop in every American bedroom.

Voting for some clown running as an independent or a third party candidate who has ZERO chance of getting elected is as bad as voting Republican. The only way to protect reproductive rights for the rest of this decade is to re-elect Democrat Joe Biden; remind people of this whenever the topic of abortion comes up.
