so due to newly-employed circumstances, i most likely won't be able to stream my exploration of the update until the Sunday after it drops - March 3rd, likely around 10 am pst.
im not gonna ask anyone to wait because that's unreasonable and absurd, However! I am curious:
the latest moash reddit thread has me in stitches actually
nature is healing. pay no attention to the man behind the curtain (people further down saying moash can’t be saved, “some people are irredeemable”, fuck moash truthers, etc). take my hand, we are entering the era of moash the construction worker
my friend @euphoniouspandemonium galaxy brained and noticed that copia from the imperatour in 2022 (with the leather waistcoat) looked like izzy hands, so now i present you with the most historically inaccurate and self-indulgent crossover ever
Hello! ^.^ Have you been making any new sweets, lately? I don't have much time to spend on sewing since it's just a hobby, but I was thinking of doing something inspired by something along those lines for my next design...
~ @heavensentofficial
Omg omg omg, honey you know I'm always experimenting with new sweets, but more importantly do you have a theme in mind??? If this is to inspire you I wanna give you the best I can offer, not the little tests I'm doing on the side!
Likeeee, do you want something chocolate? Vanilla? Cakes? Pies? Pudding? Maybe a mix? Should I just bring you my like, favs??? I can bring over my fav chocolate cake if you want, that could be a start...
But we could like, totally make a day of this if you want?? Or I can just send them over to the temple for you, its like, all up to you sweetheart 🩷
To the people who get annoyed at shippers and say peoppe don't care about themes (specifically talking about black panther wakanda forever rn) ... like I get it? I get how that's annoying ti somd people? But also just because someone enjoys shipping or posts more about that than other stuff, doesn't mean they don't understand or care about the artistic themes and merit?
I loved Wakanda Forever! I thought it was a wonderful, well-dpne commentary on grief, colonialization, and how the actions of oppressors drive a wedge between the actually oppressed groups to turn them against each other to their ultimate benefit. Not to mention a beautiful and moving tribute to Chadwick Bosemam.
I also. Don't feel like I have anything intelligent to add?
It was a fantastic movie! Beautiful, moving, and smart. And i thought it made good points, points I agreed with. I also dont feel like it's a movie where you have to really dig for those themes - if you're at all aware of the stuff it's talking about, then it very much wears its ideas on its sleeves. Not a bad thingz and honestly appreciated - I just don't feel like I have a lot to say other than pointing at whay the movie already said and going "oh I agree with this".
Whereas fandom content (meaning fanart, fanfic, not necessarily analysis or meta in this particular argument) is pretty inherently transformative, so I personally feel I can say a lot more. And I can say it more easily, I dont have to struggle to explain my thoughts on it, it's just there.
@the-expatriate liked here for a starter.

Farryn smiles at the other person. They aren't sure if they should be honest about all they've done to get here. Would that be too much for a stranger to take in? Then again, they've never been one to worry about that kind of thing. Better to weed out those who wouldn't be likely to become friends anyway, in Farryn's view. So, with another smile, they say: "I walked all night long in the dark just to be standing here." A chuckle escapes them. "So as you can probably tell, I really want to be here. What about you? What do you think of the event?"
Farryn has been to many events in their time, but they were really looking forward to this one. And for a change, they hadn't been the one to start it. This event is being thrown by someone else. Friend of a friend. Or an acquaintance of an acquaintance. Farryn can't always tell. They tend to assume that those who keep them in their lives are their friends, but of course, it could just be out of politeness. Still, Farryn hopes not. They would like to think they're an approachable person and that if someone really didn't want to be friends, they would say so. Farryn does know conflict can be hard for some people, though. And they have so much compassion for that, they really do.
i still just think that leland's like... tendency toward neutral blues and browns in his clothing, nothing too bright, no warm colours really, is also just a reflection of him being sort of withdrawn in some ways about aspects of himself. like yeah he's social he's golden retriever energy he's friendly and kind and polite, but it's almost more like, he's fluid in the way that he shifts into that for the people around him? to bring them up, bring their spirit up, be a source of warmth or a pillar of support for them. but i think that without the energy/moral support he gets from friends and family, he is actually a fairly quiet, understated sort of person, who can fit into a lot of situations easily and adapt. but doesn't necessarily know who he is without people around him? he's social, but he puts on more of it to impress or camoflauge, and to be what he thinks he should be, esp when he starts at college. hanging out w the dudes on the team and that kinda crowd. how he survived highschool and was generally well liked back home fr
i think it's the friend group that brings out his most genuine side, and brings him out of the insecurities he has about himself and how he presents and just all of it rly. i don't think he had Bad friends growing up or anything, but i don't think he had the same depth of understanding from them, that he got from the friends he meets in college. it kind of unlocked the part of himself that he mainly only was at home around his mom and sisters. w the sensitivity, and the types of things that might be attributed to being more stereotypically feminine.
