So like, are we not talking about the whole “Longan Dragon canonically being a parent, with their hatchlings being the enemies we see in the final stage of Lustrous Longan Palace” thing that happened? Because I feel like this isn’t being discussed much, at least not over here
Images from Twitter I got this morning regarding this whole thing if that helps context
Edit: for further notice, this has been proven false and there were more messages, we now know that the two guards are simply Longan’s underlings, not hatchlings. Sorry, I probably should have updated when we got that info, I was just too lazy to

Nico referring to his mom as "Mama" implies he most likely at least used to refer to Hades as "Papa" and i 100% headcanon he still does but mostly in the manner of him having the entire Underworld wrapped around his finger for being the baby of the family

Post-Flashpoint comics have been trying to push the idea of Jason as a ladies man and each time I have just not been convinced I say this with all the love in my heart I will concede to the fact that Jason Todd has had sex maybe 3 times. If I’m being generous

I can't stop thinking about the rings on Hermes' fingers. I can't. Whats the story behind those? Did he start wearing them because Charon gave them to him as a job well done? The weirdest gift imaginable to your professional associate?
Did Hermes steal them to be a cheeky bastard and got them fitted and put them on for the jokes? Did he start wearing them apropos of nothing? Just happen to start accessorizing like his professional associate? Is it part of a shared uniform? Can we see the employee handbook?
Did Charon go out and get rings commissioned to look exactly like his for not one, but two of his partner in crimes' fingers, slide each lovingly onto Hermes' corresponding digits, and then gently hold his now bejeweled hands in his own to see how they match, knowing Hermes will now carry something of Charon with him when he leaves him for his dangerous work?
I'm just. Asking. Questions. But I swear to God, if we get Charon's portrait and he has a feather or an orange ribbon somewhere on his person, I will be inconsolable for days.

not sure if this was intentional or not but nemik saying in his manifesto “Remember this: Try.” is an interesting sentiment given that “do or do not, there is no try” is like one of the more famous lines from the original trilogy

If velvette is aroace and Val is demiromantic does this make vox the token allo
reference to this ask? I think it is? but um
I think you missed out part of my answer anon
I like the idea of alloro demisexual vox, mostly cause val and alastor are both people vox has known for AGES (longer than you or I have been alive) and well he made sexual comments in relation to alastor in episode 8 and makes out with and sleeps with val but was literally the only vee completely uninterested in lucifer's "NOW I am going to FUCK you" to adam (in the case of aroace velvette idk maybe velvette is aegosexual, I don't usually hold onto it though cause I don't have a solid velvette sexuality hc)
incredibly funny to me he just lost all interest after alastor fled, was screaming about how hard he was and how watching alastor get the shit beaten out of him was better than sex but the prospect of lucifer and adam going at it in bed? uninterested.
alloromantic is just cause the idea of vox love at first sight-ing alastor is funny to me (but I'm fine with that not being the case) and it's like the inverse of demiro allosexual val. I mean I'd just as easily buy him being double demi but idk, vox being alloromantic is just funny to me especially in the context of having interest in arospec people (alastor (canon) and val (hc))

i will never understand when people act like zutara shippers are reaching when we say the crystal catacombs scene is intensely romantically coded because like... ignoring literally all other context (which does have other hallmarks of romantic coding, but literally pretend you don't know anything about the show or scene for a second)... what would you think happened in this picture?
would it .... would it maybe be an interrupted almost-kiss

I’m one of those people that entered the batfam fandom through fanfics, and then later decided to read the comics.
And holy shit. Bruce’s relationship with Dick is so bad???? Like I knew it wasn’t GOOD, but I thought it would be better than this.
And also, Dick seems to have a great relationship with Jason??? In fact, it’s JASON that is initially rude and coarse towards Dick, not the other way around. They quickly enter a brotherly relationship, and Dick gives both encouragement and approval to Jason as Robin. (I’m referencing the Nightwing: Year One Deluxe edition comic and Batman #416 which both have Jason’s first meeting with Nightwing).
Anyway, I know some new comics sometimes have stories that contradict the old ones, but I’m still surprised by canon. If anyone has insight on where the whole idea of Dick hating Jason came from, I’d love to hear it. If it’s specific comics, I’d be down to read them.

not sure how to phrase this but something i have been ruminating on recently is that xue yang is strangely fragile. obviously he is also incredibly resilient. he survived, and continues to survive, impossible things. he has a million barriers between himself and the world, but none of this actually matters when it comes to what he feels. everything is personal to him. everything pierces straight through all that armor and goes right to his battered heart, the heart that no one else believes he has. that even he is not fully cognizant of. the world strikes and strikes and strikes and so he strikes and strikes and strikes back, even (especially) when the wound is something other people would not think worthy of retribution.
xue yang would never realize this- would be outraged at the concept of it- but the way everything, everything is something to rally a defense against is in itself a form of fragility. he does not know how to let go of things, or let them pass him by. passivity is death. so he is ruthlessly cruel and violent. he projects himself as a lunatic untouchable by anything you might possibly do to him, and on some level he even believes this. but in actuality he is one raw emotional wound. he never learned to separate himself from his emotions, much less process them. the volatility is not so much insanity as it is the constant lashing out of an animal in a trap, and the trap is the world, and the trap is himself, and he is never going to get out. and like so much else, this pain is just part of the background radiation of his life. it hardly registers. to be able to register the hurt, you would have to be able to register a time in which you were not hurt.
i feel like it is a fragility that could blossom into such tenderness, given exactly the right set of circumstances. how at the very first touch of softness in his life he fell into a domesticity from which he never recovered. how much was there, still, to be salvaged from the cruelty. on some level i am always thinking about the little apple bunnies. about the meal for daozhang and the straw in a-qing's bed.
it was too little, too late. it shattered like glass when the world intruded back in. but the tenderness was there. no one, least of all xue yang, knows what might have happened had it been unearthed in him any sooner.

i like choreman because it feels like they’re doomed by the narrative in a way. like. they’re both irreparably affected by house both chained to PPTH. i KNOW that they are endgame for each other because they parallel hilson which means they’re either going to have a devastating and homoerotic death together or they’ll break the cycle and live happily ever after with each other. there is no conceivable ending to their stories where chase and foreman are able to fully unentangle themselves from each other. they’re infected with the same mold and they’re twisted around each other and they’re only going to grow more codependent with time

cannot express enough how much this scene means to me, especially as a trans person myself. it seems so small, but this scene is groundbreaking in so many ways.
for anyone who hasn't watched alice in borderland: the woman in the last picture is canonically a trans woman. she left home prior to transitioning because of her father's disapproval. this is the first time she's seen her mother since leaving home, & the first time her mother has seen her post-transition.
her mother's first reaction to seeing her as her fully realized self is to call her beautiful. this scene, itself, is so small. but man. is it beautiful.

I already got attached to Arthur and Mr. Entity, specially after Arthur doing the whole thing with the wraith and the baby
*In Jon Sims voice* Good lord, can I stop getting attached to any (fictional) man who shows a small interest in taking care of a child???
