Lesson #1: Introduction to Magic
Witchcraft vs. Wicca vs. Paganism:
Paganism is a religion as well as an umbrella term to describe different religions. In the past, it was seen as anyone who wasn’t a Christian. Currently, a lot of practices and religions fall under the category of Pagan. No witchcraft or certain practices are required to be Pagan. Most Pagans do believe in the circles of life and death, with a strong connection to nature.
Wicca is a religion that usually involves witchcraft but not always. It was founded in 1954 by Gerald Garner and involves documents and beliefs such as the Wiccan Rede and the Harm None laws. The Wiccan religion falls under Paganism.
Witchcraft is a practice, not a religion. It can be used inside and outside of religious practices. There are many branches of The Craft, including Green Witchcraft and Cosmic Witchcraft.
Different Paths:
Not all Alchemists are witches, but Alchemy can be paired with the Craft.
Angelic Witches work closely with Angels in their practice.
A Celtic Witch would be a witch who follows the traditions and rituals of the Celtic religion. They may work with or worship Celtic deities and read Celtic myths, legends, and history. This could also include working with the fae, but it’s not required.
In a Ceremonial Witch's practice, it’s all focused on the sacred ceremonies and rituals of witchcraft. It’s more intricate than everyday magic.
Cosmic/Celestial Witches are the astrologers. Focused on the moon, sun, star, and planet cycles, zodiac signs and birth charts are their specialty. They use the energies from the cycles of the universe to fuel their spell work. Lunar Witches and Solar Witches would fall in this category, as their focus is mostly towards the phases of the moon or the sun.
Coven Witches are a part of a coven, this would include a high priest, or priestess along with members of a coven. They bring their powers together to cast spells and do rituals together.
Crystal Witches are all about the use of crystals and gems. Creating crystal grids, understanding the power of their properties, and using that power to manifest or attract the energies that the witch is trying to bring in their craft.
When it comes to Eclectic Witches they are a hit or miss. They mix and match their own practice from other religions or branches of witchcraft. That can be a good thing and a bad thing. You can make your practice your own and not be tied down to one thing. However, if you are taking from closed practices or taking from spaces where you aren’t welcomed then that is never okay. No matter what branch you practice.
A Death Witch is someone who works with the dead, or practices necromancy. This can also include helping them cross to the other side, honoring the dead in rituals, or helping people through periods of mourning their loved ones. Death deities such as Hel (Norse Goddess of Death) or Hades (Greek King of the Underworld) may be some deities a death witch might be interested in working with.
Demonologists are people who study, work with, or worship Demons and include them into their Craft.
Divination Witches are usually your psychics. They work with tools such as tarot or oracle cards, palm readings, pendulums, runes, etc. They can show the future or receive messages from the other side or from your guides.
Draconian Witches are people who work with Dragons. It is a very intricate path that isn’t made for everyone. You may approach dragons, but when it comes time dragons may or may not choose you.
Elemental Witches use the power of the elements in their practices. Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and sometimes the fifth element known as the Spirit or Either. Through bonding with the elements, she’s able to call on them in her practice. This could also be broken down by Fire Witches, who connect mostly with Fire elements. Water Witches also could fall under Sea Witchcraft. Air Witches could include playing instruments, listening to music, or singing in their practice. And Earth Witches could be classified as a Green or Plant Witch.
Fae Witches are those who work with the Fae in their craft. This is usually paired with the Celtic pantheon, but not always.
A Folk Witch can be hereditary, but not always. They include practices that are either passed down from family members, or their community. They use their ethnicities and the origins of their ancestors in their practices. Sometimes they can be closed practices, sometimes they are just not shared with people outside of those communities.
Gray Witches practice both the left-hand path (black magic) of the right-hand path (white magic). What kind of magic they practice depends on the situation.
Green Witches are all about nature, they use herbology, healing, gardening, and plant magic in witchcraft. They prefer to be outside and in nature, especially when doing their craft. Plant Witches are in a subcategory of Green Witchcraft whose main focus is plants.
Both Hearth Witches and House/Cottage Witches overlap when it comes to how they practice. They are both focused on making their home peaceful and full of magic. This can include candle magic, kitchen witchery, house rituals, etc.
A Hedge Witch is similar to an eclectic witch. But hedge witches are more focused on herbology, elements, astral protection, auras, and nature.
A Hellenic Witch is someone who works with or worships the ancient Greek or Roman deities. They perform rites and give offerings that were presented to the deities long ago.
Hereditary Witches are people whose family practices witchcraft. Power or certain practices are passed through their family line.
Kitchen Witches incorporate magic into their food or drink. They understand the properties that certain foods or herbs have and are able to pair them together to create a delicious, magical-filled dish or drink.
Sea Witches have a strong connection to the ocean. They can incorporate water, seashells, sand, and moon phases in their practices. Any body of water will do, you don’t have to live near any ocean to do sea magic. Lakes, rivers, or any natural body of water will do. They can also work with water spirits, such as mermaids.
Sex Witches use sexual acts and sexual energy to enhance their rituals. This can be done alone or with consenting partners.
A Solitary Witch practices alone or without a coven. They can be any type of Witch.
A Traditional Witch can be a hereditary, a folk, or a ceremonial witch. Any kind of practice that follows a long-standing tradition.
Wiccan Witch follows the Wiccan Rede and the Harm None laws, within their practice. They can include almost any other branch of witchcraft as well. They worship a God and Goddess as the masculine and feminine energies, and love and respect nature.
These are just a handful of witches that are out there, I know I missed many of them. Feel free to mix and match titles or have no title at all. It’s whatever you are most comfortable with and what you have a connection to the most.
Altars:
Altars are prominent in most religions; they are concentrated, personal, and sacred spaces meant for worship, spell castings, honoring ancestors, celebrating holidays and more. They can be simple and hidden, large and extravagant or anything in between. It should be created to please you and no one else.
The arrangement of tools on the altar can vary to each person, there is a basic outline, but you’re not required to follow it. When picking out the tools and decorations make sure you don’t choose random items that might clutter your altar. No matter how big or small your space is, you don’t want a messy place to work in; so make sure everything has a meaning or purpose.
Altars can also come in any aesthetic that you enjoy; some choose a very traditional altar, while others love a modern take on things. They can also be based around an element, deity, crystal, or even your favorite color.
There are so many ways you can present your altar, but as long as you make it your own precious space then the sky's the limit!
Witchcraft Tools:
A Book of Shadows, Grimoire, or another Spell Book can be anything you wish it to be, from a simple notebook, a file on your computer, or a fancy leather-bound book. No matter what it is, always keep it nearby when you are casting; you never know when you might need to jot something down or need a reference.
A Pentagram or Pentacle can be sat in the center of an altar, or worn on a necklace. It represents the five elements and can be used for protection.
Divination Tools would also be kept on your altar or nearby if you are doing spellwork. Whether it be tarot or oracle cards, pendulums, runes, tea leaves, or a crystal ball.
Photos or Statues are great ways to honor your ancestors and loved ones who have passed on (including pets!). You can add photos, notes, and other offerings on your altar as a way to honor them and call upon them. You can also add photos and statues of your guides or deities to dedicate a space to them.
Athames are beautifully crafted knives meant for spell casting or energy channeling only. They are usually not meant for cooking or other purposes.
Wands are created for energy channeling and circle casting, they can be made out of wood, crystal, metal, or glass. You can also craft your own and add crystals, charms, or other decorations to personalize it.
Candles can be used for multiple things. It can represent the element of fire and air, can represent a space for deities or ancestors, or for simple color magic. It’s good to have multiple colors and sizes, but white is usually a good substitute. You could also use birthday candles for spells that have to melt all the way down but you don’t want to wait or leave a burning candle unattended.
For the Earth Element anything that comes from the Earth naturally such as dirt, sand, flowers, leaves, certain herbs, sticks, crystals, rocks, etc can be used to represent the Earth element and be used in many ways.
Cauldrons or other heatproof bowls would be needed for making potions, burning herbs, casting spells, or scrying.
A Chalice could represent the Moon Goddess and the element of water; a chalice can hold water, wine, or other offerings. It can also be used for fertility rituals and spells.
Feathers represent the elements of air, they can be nice offerings for certain spirits, guides, or deities or be used for waving away negative energies.
Bells can represent the air element and are known for cleansing a space of negative energies to leave a peaceful feeling environment.
Each Herb, Plant, or Flower has different properties, each being unique and special. With that being said, some ingredients can be very dangerous and harmful to handle if you are unfamiliar with them; so always proceed with caution when using unknown herbs. And make sure to keep poisonous ones away from your furry or scaly friends and curious children!
Incense not only smells lovely, but they represent the elements of air and fire. They are wonderful for cleansing and each scent has its own special property.
Waters from ocean, lake, rain, storm, tap, or even bottled water can represent the water element; each can be used in a different way in a spell. But also can be used for cleansing yourself or your tools.
Poppets are very powerful tools that can be used for causing harm to enemies, initiating protection around a household, or casting a blessing on those closest to you.
Crystals are helpful for healing, protection, peace, and many other things. They are gorgeous pieces for offerings, or to just keep on your altar or in your car.
Pouches, Boxes, and Jars are a very simple way to hold any spell that you create, usually kept with the person it was made for, buried in the ground, on your altar. It can contain anything from blessings to curses.
Book of Shadows:
1. Create your own spellbooks:
Decide if you are going to have a physical book or binder or if you want a digital book, which could be left online or if you are going to print it out. Figure out the style, do you want traditional, cute, full of stickers, dried herbs or plants included, add artwork. Make it your own. You don’t have to call your spellbook the typical names, you can name your book anything you want. If you work with Spirits, Book of the Dead. If you work with the water element, Storm Book or Way of the Waters. Or sometimes more traditional like The Book of Ways. You can be creative when naming your Grimoire if you want. You can also have more than one spellbook for different tasks or information.
2. Layouts:
The layout of your book is unique to you. Personally, I tend to group similar things together. But here are things you can add to your book.
Some type of index to keep your book organized. You could also include a glossary of common-use terms or phrases.
A book blessing, protection sigils, and/or book dedications.
Your personal correspondences such as astrology charts, what type of path you practice, coven meetings (if you’re involved in one), information about the deities or guides you work with, and favorite divination methods. You could also add your favorite crystals, colors, herbs, flowers, etc.
Basic information about magic. Tools used in your craft, how to make sigils, cleansing, protection, correspondences about crystals, herbs, incense, aromatherapy, etc.
Animal correspondences, what it means when you see certain animals. This could also include familiar work, or any animal guides you work with.
Moon, sun, and planet phases. This can also include constellations, zodiac signs, birth charts, and how to read them.
The Wheel of the Year, any holidays or sabbats that you celebrate and how to celebrate them. This could also include days of the week correspondences and time correspondences.
You can add recipes that you make for offerings or holidays or even have a spellbook be a cookbook instead if you are a kitchen witch or just love cooking.
Any rituals or spells that you perform, what it is, when you cast them, the herbs or crystals you use, what the moon or sun phase was, the phrases you said, what the results were, and if you would change anything.
Divination tools that you use, the meaning behind tarot cards or runes, etc. And you can keep a journal track of when you do any kind of divination, the questions you asked and the answers you received.
History of magic, the path you practice, the deities or guides you work with. Folklore or myths from certain areas that you are interested in.
Lists of deities or guides from the pantheon(s) or groups that you’re involved in.
Different psychic abilities and keeping track of your meditation progress, dreams, affirmations, yoga, and any other energy workings that you do.
Any mythical beings (mermaids, dragons, fae, etc) that you work with and information about them. How you work with them, favorite offerings, spellwork that they’ve helped you with, etc.
Covens:
Covens are usually made up of 13 members that come together to practice Magick or celebrate a Sabbath together. They are normally very private groups that use their energies to reach a common goal or need.
Some Witches prefer Covens rather than solitary because you are able to learn and grow from the other members that you surround yourself with. If you are open with your practices then there can be a lot of backlash from non-pagans who don’t understand or accept your beliefs; so it’s always nice to have like-minded individuals in your life who you can communicate and socialize with.
However, if you are wanting to practice in solitude then that is completely up to you and your personal path. There is nothing wrong with not joining a Coven if your heart says no.

God's Judgment on the Earth
Behold, the LORD lays waste the earth and leaves it in ruins. He will twist its surface and scatter its inhabitants— people and priest alike, servant and master, maid and mistress, buyer and seller, lender and borrower, creditor and debtor. The earth will be utterly laid waste and thoroughly plundered.
For the LORD has spoken this word.
The earth mourns and withers; the world languishes and fades; the exalted of the earth waste away. The earth is defiled by its people; they have transgressed the laws; they have overstepped the decrees and broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore a curse has consumed the earth, and its inhabitants must bear the guilt; the earth’s dwellers have been burned, and only a few survive.
The new wine dries up, the vine withers. All the merrymakers now groan. The joyful tambourines have ceased; the noise of revelers has stopped; the joyful harp is silent. They no longer sing and drink wine; strong drink is bitter to those who consume it.
The city of chaos is shattered; every house is closed to entry. In the streets they cry out for wine. All joy turns to gloom; rejoicing is exiled from the land. The city is left in ruins; its gate is reduced to rubble. So will it be on the earth and among the nations, like a harvested olive tree, like a gleaning after a grape harvest.
They raise their voices, they shout for joy; from the west they proclaim the majesty of the LORD. Therefore glorify the LORD in the east. Extol the name of the LORD, the God of Israel in the islands of the sea. From the ends of the earth we hear singing: “Glory to the Righteous One.”
But I said, “I am wasting away! I am wasting away! Woe is me.” The treacherous betray; the treacherous deal in treachery. Terror and pit and snare await you, O dweller of the earth. Whoever flees the sound of panic will fall into the pit, and whoever climbs from the pit will be caught in the snare.
For the windows of heaven are open, and the foundations of the earth are shaken. The earth is utterly broken apart, the earth is split open, the earth is shaken violently. The earth staggers like a drunkard and sways like a shack. Earth’s rebellion weighs it down, and it falls, never to rise again.
In that day the LORD will punish the host of heaven above and the kings of the earth below. They will be gathered together like prisoners in a pit. They will be confined to a dungeon and punished after many days. The moon will be confounded and the sun will be ashamed; for the LORD of Hosts will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and before His elders with great glory. — Isaiah 24 | The Reader’s Bible (BRB) The Reader’s Bible © 2020 by Bible Hub and Berean.Bible. After a week of dating, Jordee learns that Elvis is more than meets the eye. She discovers hidden secrets and finds out more than she bargained for. Will love survive?
Word Count:???
Warnings: ???
Author's Notes: Well, this is the official final chapter of this series. I doubt I'll do an epilogue. I really did love playing with AI and writing this epic story, and in the end, that's all that matters.
・┆✦ʚ♡ɞ✦ ┆・🩸・┆✦ʚ♡ɞ✦ ┆・
Three months later...
Jordee is back in Florida, where she's remained since the New Orleans fiasco. She sits on the beach and lets the sun hit her honey coated skin. Her dark curls glisten in the sun, and the sound of the ocean is so converting to her. She's home where she belongs.
She found a nice small home in the country not too far from the beach. She got another job to pay the bills, but work isn't half as bad as it once seemed. Life is precious. She brushes up on her reading of the occult on vampires so she knows what to expect of herself.
She has a baby on the way, and her family is over the moon. She doesn't worry about the baby. Jordee didn't want to end up like her mama. She didn't believe she was as brave as her mother, but she is strong. She knows she will do this without... him.
This baby deserves an amazing life, and she intends on giving it to him or her. Jordee hates the thought of leaving Elvis out of it. She thinks of him often. There's an emotional connection she's missing since she left Elvis. Like an old, reliable car that's always been there. Or even a guardian angel who's looked after her. Now he's gone.
Jordee wondered about this connection between her and Elvis. It just didn't make sense. In her occult books on vampires, she found a section about vampires and romance. Even the internet speaks on vampires being sexual beings if they're not bloodthirsty or loners.
The section speaks deeper in lovers. Soulmates and such a particular definition known as the Chosen. Jordee studies this section very thoroughly.
The Chosen is the one soulmate or significant other. This happens in vampires, werewolves, witches, and even humans. Love is a strong bond in itself, but once a vampire with their mate, it's forever. The Chosen is picked by the lonely soul seeking an everlasting companionship. The lonely soul can be a part of a coven, clan, or family but still long for a deeper connection.
Once the lonely soul finds its mate, it's difficult to detach away from them. To be away from them is agony. Moreover, if a vampire were to choose a human mate, the vampire would do everything in its power to keep them safe. The vampire will sire or change their mate so their souls will never walk alone again.
Jordee thought back to all those times she pushed Elvis away from her. The pain on his face. How he begged and pleaded for her forgiveness and understanding. Elvis had walked alone for a long time. He loved other women but never bonded with them the way he bonded with her. That's why she was so special. She just didn't want to hurt anymore.
The appointment...
The doctor quietly examines the sonogram screen. Jordee knows this baby is unlike any baby, being that it's a vampire child.
"Doctor Fletcher, how is my baby?"
"They are fine." The doctor smiled.
Shock covers your face.
"They?" Jordee repeats.
"Yes, Jordee. You're having twins."
Tears stream down Jordee's cheeks as she places one hand on her belly, the other on your mouth. Two babies.
"Their daddy will be proud," the doctor said.
Elvis... she wonders if she should tell him. If he knew they were his children... would that be a good thing? Wouldn't he want to know them? I would..."
In Tennessee...
Elvis sits alone in his house in Memphis. The house feels empty now that Jordee is gone, but the memories of her are still very much alive.
He stares out the window, and he sighs deeply. He thinks about Jordee, about how he messed up and how he never had a chance to make things right with her.
"I wish I'd met you before Bianca. I wish I wasn't so afraid of commitment, and I wish I'd told you the truth," he whispers.
Elvis is a shell of a man without Jordee in his arms. He sighs deeply as his thoughts turn to his past. He thinks about the night he met Bianca. He thinks of the night he made the wish.
"Why did I wish for a woman like her? Why was I so attracted to her? Am I some kind of glutton for punishment?" He thinks.
He shakes his head, closing the curtains away from the outside world. He sits down, and he stares at the floor, wondering where he went wrong.
Elvis takes out the ring that he Jordee. He recalls the surprise on her face when she saw the sparkling sapphire. He looks at it for a moment, putting it down.
He sits there, staring at the ring for several minutes before picking it up again and putting it on his pinky finger.
"I hope you're happy, Jor. I hope you're happy and you're not thinking about me." He sighs deeply, shaking his head.
He walks over to his piano. He sits down in front of the keys and starts to play a soft, simple melody. It sounds like a sad song, but Elvis says nothing as he plays. His eyes fill with tears as he thinks about Jordee. The last three months without her have been torture.
"What would Jor want me to do? Would she want me to stay away? What would make her happy?"
Elvis sits at his piano with tearful eyes. He cries every day without Jordee. She was his joy, strength, and happiness. Jordee was his sanity and his peace. Without her near, he can't even sleep the way he once did. He's absolutely miserable.
After a while, he turns to look outside. What he sees makes his heart stop. He has a vision of Jordee in the front yard. She wears a white gown that falls off her shoulders, and she has small blue and white flowers in her hair. Her stomach is swollen, yet it does replace the smile on her beautiful face. She slowly spins around, showing off her body.
She rubs her tummy and looks at Elvis. Elvis stands from his piano, slowly walking to the window for a better view. Is he dreaming? He's afraid to blink for fear he won't see Jordee again. Jordee runs behind the tree, and Elvis shouts for her to come back.
In the next scene, Jordee runs back from the opposite side of the tree. There are two small children running with her. They have beautiful smiles on their faces. They play with Jordee as only they can. Jordee sits down with them in the grass, placing kisses on both of their angelic faces.
Jordee looks over at the window again, smiling. She's telling him something important, and though he can't hear her, the words are read as clear as a bell.
"Babies, say hey to Daddy. Wave at Daddy."
Elvis blinks the tears away from his eyes. The vision is over, but the message was clear. Jordee is pregnant with twins. His twins. Elvis struggles with the decision, and his thoughts turn to Jordee and the children.
"Is this my second chance?" He thinks to himself.
He sighs deeply, and he closes his eyes. A smile comes across his face.
Elvis walks back to the piano where his phone sits on top. With a deep breath, he picks up the phone, and he dials her number. He respected her request for distance even when it killed him. He sighed deeply, waiting for Jordee to answer the phone.
"Hello?" Jordee asks.
Elvis feels like his heart flutter. The heavens have opened up to him as the voice of an angel answers his call.
"Jor... it's me... it's Elvis."
Jordee pauses. She changed her number, but yet he still found her.
"Elvis? How did you find me?"
Elvis breathes a sigh of relief.
"Jor, I... I need to talk to you. Where are you?" Elvis speaks softly.
"I... I can't."
Elvis' face falls as he sighs deeply.
"Jor, I... I just wanted to tell you. I just wanted to tell you I know about our children."
He lets out a nervous laugh.
"Our children, Jor. We're having a baby. We're actually having two babies."
Elvis smiles widely and he says the next words with a nervous laugh.
"You're having twins, Jor."
Jordee is filled with fear.
"How do you know that? Are you following me again?"
"No, baby. I swear. I've given you your space. I... I-I had a vision of you in white. You were so beautiful and glowing like a goddess. You had two babies with you. You told them to wave to me. Wave to Daddy. I knew then."
Jordee remains silent. This bond that they share is stronger than anything she knows.
"Jor, are you still there? Jordee, I just wanna know... should I leave you alone... or do you want me to fight for you and our babies? I'd do anything for you and for them, too. I love you, and I love them."
Elvis sounds like he's on the verge of tears.
"Please... I don't wanna lose you..."
"I have to go..."
"No, Jor. Please... please don't freak out on me. I swear, I'm not doing anything wrong. I just wanted to talk to you. About... about everything."
He sighs deeply and speaks softly.
"Jor, I'm still in love with you. I know I messed up. I know I hurt you, and I know I... I don't deserve another chance. But I just can't give you up without a fight. I'm running after the way I should have three months ago."
"You didn't, though. You started this. You called me a liar. You said I went through your phone, and I still don't know where you got that ridiculous idea."
Elvis takes a deep breath, and he sighs.
"I... I don't know, Jor. I made it up? I'm sorry. I just... I don't know. I don't remember what I was doing that night. I don't know. I was a jerk."
He sighs deeply.
"But, Jor, please... don't let that be the reason we don't talk! I didn't mean it. I'm sorry. I just... I just want you back. I want you in my life. I need you, baby."
"Elvis? We do need to see one another. Where are you?"
Jordee hesitates, but she knows what she needs to do. Even if it means seeing him. Yet Elvis' heart skips a beat at the opportunity. He speaks softly, and he's still a bit hesitant.
"I'm in Memphis right now, Jor. I'm... I'm at Graceland. Is it alright if I visit you in Florida?" Elvis asks.
"I guess. I'm in Fernandina Beach."
"Jor, you sound confused. Is everything alright?"
Elvis pauses, speaking softly.
"Look, if you don't really want to see me... if you don't want me to come... then I won't. I'll understand if... I just... I don't wanna let you go. I don't wanna lose you."
"I'm not confused. We need to see each other. Face to face. We have things to discuss."
Elvis smiles widely.
"I agree, Jor! I... I've missed you. I've missed you a lot. And... I wanna talk to you."
He pauses then speaks softly.
"Jor, I made a lot of mistakes. But... I swear, you are the love of my life, and I'm gonna fight for you. I won't let you get away."
Jordee lets Elvis' words sink in. They need to speak, but she never said she'd let him back into her heart.
"I'll see you when you get here, E. Bye."
Jordee hangs up the phone and takes a deep breath. She never realized she was holding her breath. Her skins felt flushed, and her heart palpated. She didn't know she could still feel this way again.
Elvis smiles widely as he hangs up the phone.
"I'm gonna see her! Jor's gonna give me a second chance! Thank you, God!"
Elvis sighs deeply.
"This is it. My second chance is here. I just can't screw this up... I can't go back to being the way I was."
Two days later...
It takes Elvis a while to get to Florida, but after several hours of traveling, he finally gets to Fernandina Beach. Jordee texted him her address, and he heads to her immediately. He drives slowly through the city before finally pulling up outside a small house.
Elvis steps out of the car, pacing himself before knocking on the door. He waits nervously as his eyes fill with tears when he hears footsteps approaching. He wipes a tear from his eye as he stands still, waiting for Jordee.
Jordee takes a deep breath as goosebumps raise on her skin.
"Who is it?" She asks.
Elvis breathes a sigh of relief when he hears her voice. How his heart swoons.
"Jor... it's me. It's Elvis."
Jordee opens the door slowly to gaze upon the handsome figure of Elvis. She looks into those beautiful oceanic hues. A smile spreads across his face.
"Hi, Elvis," Jordee says quietly.
Elvis' breath catches in his throat when he sees Jordee standing in the doorway. She is completely radiant in her pregnancy glow. He smiles back at her, staring at her in awe for a moment.
"Jor... you're even more beautiful than I remember you."
Elvis reaches down to grab a small bouquet of flowers from behind his back, and he hands it to her.
"For you..."
He smiles and seems completely smitten with her.
"They're beautiful."
"Jor, these flowers are nothing compared to you," he says softly.
"I'm sorry it took me so long to come and see you. I should have done this a long time ago. I don't wanna waste another minute of my life without you. You... you're my other half. I'm not whole unless you're with me."
He looks down at the flowers in his hands. Then he looks up at Jordee.
"These are a symbol of my love for you. Will you accept them?"
"Yes, I will."
Jordee takes the bouquet of flowers from him. She moves aside, allowing him access to come in.
"Please, come in."
"Thank you."
Elvis steps inside, closing the door behind him.
"Jor, I... you have no idea how much I missed you. I've prayed so many times for you to give me this chance."
He takes a deep breath.
"I... I can't even express how sorry I am. For all the pain I caused you. For all the times I lied to you. All I can say is that... I want to be with you. I want to be the man you deserve."
"Elvis, stop. Please sit down. I'm... going to place these in water."
Jordee walks to the kitchen. She grabs a vase and puts the flowers there and runs the water.
"Can I get you anything? Are you thirsty?" Jordee shouts from the kitchen.
Elvis sits down on the couch, watching Jordee put the flowers in the vase. He speaks softly, seeming nervous.
"No, I'm alright. Thank you though."
He pauses for a moment, and then he speaks again.
"Jor... can I tell you something?"
Jordee looks out the window. Silently rolls her eyes. Here comes the series of questions.
"Yes?"
"Do you still love me? Just a little bit?" He ponders.
Jordee remains silent. She turns off the water on the flowers and places the vase on the table. She sits in the adjacent chair from Elvis and looks at him.
"Elvis, I never stopped loving you. I was tired of being hurt and lied to."
Elvis smiles softly as he hears her words. They soften his heart.
"Jor, listen... I know I hurt you. I know I messed up... I know I lied to you and I know I asked you to give me chance after chance. And you always gave me those chances, no matter what I did. You deserve the world, Jor."
He sighs, shaking his head.
"I don't know what I was thinking all that time... I was scared... I was afraid. But I never should have taken you for granted. I never deserved you."
"I'm happy you know that. Now, I have to break your heart again."
Elvis' heart stops, and he stares at Jordee in confusion. He begins to speak softly, looking at the flowers sitting on the table.
"Jor, what do you mean? I just... I'm so glad to be with you again... I... I don't want to lose you again. Please, Jor... don't do this. Don't break my heart again..."
He pauses for a moment.
"You and I... we belong together. I know it's true. Please, Jor... please don't leave me."
"Elvis, stop. You're working yourself up. Don't do that. Being pregnant makes me sensitive."
Jordee sits back and rubs her belly.
"I told you we needed to speak. I didn't say that I'd give you my heart again. I can't. I need to talk to you about our babies."
"Our babies? I thought you wanted to talk about us."
"No, I asked you to come today to talk about the twins."
Elvis looks at the flowers on the table then speaks softly.
"Tell me what you need to tell me, Jor. Do you want me to be a part of their lives? If you want me to walk away, I... I'll do it. I can't bare the thought of being separated from you, but I know how much I upset you. More than I ever meant to. And if that means I can't be as big of a part of your life... then I understand. I just... I need you to be happy."
"Elvis," Jordee starts. "You know I grew up without a father. I don't want you to be absent. I want you to be present. I want... your pictures on the wall. I want you to be able to kiss them and play with them. I need you to say you love them. All the things I didn't have. I know, despite everything, you're a great man. You're going to be an amazing father."
Elvis smiles widely as he hears her words. He stands up, moves to her side, and kneels down in front of her.
"Jor... that's all I want. I want to be there for you and for the babies. I... I'm gonna love them more than anything. Just like I love you. We can make this work. I swear to you. Just tell me what you need and I'll do it. Just give me a chance to be in your life. Please..."
"We need to be close. Do you want me to move to Memphis, or are you willing to move here?"
"I'll move to Fernandina Beach if you want. Just tell me where you want me to go. Just tell me what you need. I can't give you up. Not again. Please... give me another chance."
He looks at her with sad eyes. Jordee can see the tears form there, and it softens her heart.
"Elvis, please don't cry."
Jordee grabs the back of Elvis' head and lightly scratches his scalp. Jordee doesn't know what comes over her, but she kisses Elvis gently on the lips.
Elvis closes his eyes, and he leans into the kiss for a moment until Jordee pulls back, covering her mouth. She's shocked at her own action. He seems confused as he blinks and he looks at Jordee.
"Jor... why did you do that?" He smiles softly.
"I didn't mean to. I'm sorry."
"No... please. You don't have to apologize."
He smiles, placing his hands gently on either side of her face. He lifts her head so they're looking at each other.
"It's alright. If... if I'm being honest, it's more than alright. I missed you so much, Jor. I missed you more than you know."
"Elvis, I think... oh!" Jordee stops as she feels a jolt from within her tummy.
It's as if the babies knew that their daddy was home to be with them. Knowing that Jordee was preparing to send Elvis away, they didn't want him to go.
Elvis pulls back a bit to see your face. He speaks softly, continuing to hold her head.
"Jor, what is it? What are you trying to say? Please, Jor. Whatever it is, just tell me."
"The twins."
"Your babies? Did you get an ultrasound? Is everything alright with the twins?"
Jordee grabs his hand and places it on her belly. Elvis feels the babies moving, and he knows this is his purpose.
Elvis' heart stops, and he speaks softly.
"I can... feel it! They're moving! They're moving around. Oh Jor, this is amazing! This is... this is everything I've ever dreamed of. We're going to be a family."
"Where are you staying?" Jordee asks.
Elvis thinks for a moment.
"I... I was planning to stay in a motel down by the beach, but... but do you think I can stay here tonight? With you? If you think it's a good idea."
Jordee is fighting with her mind and heart right now. She wants to be near him, but she's afraid of being hurt again.
"You... can stay."
Elvis smiles and speaks softly.
"Thank you, Jor. And... you know you can trust me, right? You can trust me not to hurt you. You can trust me to be the man you deserve."
"I hope so."
"Jor, I'm not gonna hurt you again, I promise. I'm not perfect, Jor. I know that. No one is. But... but I... I can do better. I'm going to be there for you always. I... I'm never gonna leave you."
Jordee gently moves his hands from her face. "Slow, Elvis."
"You're right. Slow. I... I just wanna love you and hug you. I wish you could feel this," Elvis says, taking her hand to place it over his heart.
The skin to skin contact makes Jordee quiver. For a moment, she feels his faint heartbeat. The more she listens, the more louder it seems. It's as if it only beats for her. This soulmate thing was more intense than Jordee originally believed.
"My heart has always been yours, Jor. But... I'll be patient. I've waited this long."
"Are you hungry?" Jordee asks, removing her hand from his chest.
"No, but I have to ask you..." Elvis takes a deep breath, speaking softly.
"Do you have... a boyfriend? Or anything? Not... not that I have the right to know. But, uh... I thought, now that we're talking again, that... that I could ask..."
"Do I have a boyfriend?"
Jordee thinks about the question. She wonders if she should lie.
"Would that bother you?"
Elvis smiles and looks into Jordee's soft, brown eyes.
"No, not really... I'm not sure what I'm hoping for. I just... I don't want you with someone else. But I... I don't want to be a controlling jerk either. What are you thinking?" Elvis wonders out loud.
"I think... I'm hungry. I'm going to go cook something."
Jordee struggles to get out of the chair, but makes it up and heads to the kitchen silently.
"Jor, wait," Elvis says, standing from his position. "Can... can I help you? I can help you make dinner. I don't mind."
He smiles softly and walks over to Jordee.
"I just... I wanna be as close to you as I can right now, Jor. I missed you so bad. I missed spending time with you. I just... I just don't want to be away from you right now."
"Elvis..." Jordee starts to say, but Elvis can't help himself.
He embraces Jordee in the most passionate kiss he has ever given her. Jordee isn't strong enough to fight him off. She gives in. She hasn't said it out loud, but she missed him too. Elvis can sense it, but he can't read her mind since Jordee's blocked him out. She just doesn't want to be hurt anymore.
Elvis picks Jordee up and places her on the table, lifting up her dress. He touches her. Jordee moans. She's so sensitive. Jordee feels Elvis' passion grows for her with every kiss.
"Jor, I'm... sorry," Elvis says, pulling away from Jordee. "I know. Slow. We'll take this slow like we said. We can just go back to talking."
"If..." Jordee tries catching her breath. "If you think so."
Elvis gives Jordee a gentle kiss that she receives willingly. Elvis lightly leans his head on Jordee's forehead.
"How are you and the babies? Are you in any pain?" He asks.
"I'm fine, Elvis. They move a lot." Jordee smiles. "I'm hungry for human food."
"Right, yeah."
Elvis laughs and pulls Jordee off the table. He speaks softly.
"I'll go cook something for us. What do you want to eat? I mean, I can cook anything you want. That... that's what a good husband does, right?"
"Husband?"
Elvis nods his as a genuine smile graces his face.
"Jor, my love. We're a family. You, me, and the babies. I'm doing this with you. I want to take care of you and them. I want you to be with me. Be my wife. Jordee, we're meant to be together forever."
Elvis keeps smiling as he strokes Jordee's cheek. He leans in close to Jordee, speaking softly.
"Do you believe that? Do you believe that we're supposed to be together? Like... like it's gonna be us forever?"
A single tear falls down her cheek.
"Elvis? If I give you my heart again..."
Elvis' eyes light up.
"Oh... look, Jor... you don't have to worry about this. Give me your heart. Give me everything. I'm never gonna let you down again, Jor. I'm... I'm gonna love you and protect you like no one ever has."
"Please, don't make me a fool."
"I promise I won't. You are the best thing to ever happen to me and... and now that I have you back, I'm not going to do anything to lose you. I'm gonna be the best husband, the best father..."
He stops talking and looks at Jordee, but he doesn't speak. He's staring at her with soft eyes, waiting for her to say the words, waiting for her to give him her heart. Tears spring from Jordee's eyes.
"Jor, your tears... they're beautiful. Like sunlight hitting raindrops. You're so amazing... I'm so lucky to know you. To love you. Be with me."
He places his hand under her chin and lifts her head so they're looking at each other.
"Jor, can I have your heart? Can you forgive me for all the horrible things I did to you? Can you give me your heart?"
"I... I will," Jordee whispers.
The tears trickle down Jordee's cheeks.
Elvis smiles, and the tears on Jordee's face seem to make his smile grow even bigger. He nods his head and wipes her tears away with his thumb.
"Thank you, Jor. Thank you so much."
Elvis kisses Jordee once more. His heart is full once again. He leans in close to Jordee and whispers.
"I promise my love for you will never change. Ever. You still hungry?"
"Yes," Jordee laughs. Her heart is also full.
Elvis takes out things to make them sandwiches. He fixes her two double-decker turkey sandwiches with the works. He places the plate in front of her, kissing her head as he sits down with his plate.
Jordee and Elvis spend the next ten minutes having dinner and falling in love again.
He compliments her on how beautiful he knows she is. Jordee shys away from the compliment, feeling fat with her baby weight. Elvis ensures her that she's the most beautiful in the world.
He confesses how miserable he was without her. It was as if he was missing a part of his soul. His heart acked for the other half.
He admits he missed her so much that he tried finding comfort in the arms of another woman. Jordee shrugs it off. Believing that everything done while they were apart must stay in the past. It was time to move forward.
Elvis smiles and takes her engagement ring off his pinky, placing it on her ring finger. He kisses her knuckles, and she blushes.
Jordee nods her head. She's filled with understanding and hope for the future. Jordee kisses Elvis one more time.
"Elvis, what was it like?"
"What, Jor?"
"The first time you kissed me? After all those years of wondering. Lusting. Wanting me. When we first kissed, what was it like for you?"
Elvis laughs and shakes his head slowly.
"Oh, Jor. I think it was... it was everything I ever wanted. It made all those years of longing worth it. Just to be able to finally hold you in my arms and to be able to finally feel your lips against mine. It was everything I ever wanted and so much more."
"I didn't disappoint you?"
"Jor, you never could disappoint me. You didn't disappoint me at all. Oh, Jor. I just... I can't tell you how good it feels to have you back in my arms. And... and this, us... this is just the beginning of something great."
Jordee rests her head on Elvis' shoulder. Elvis feels content with Jordee in his arms. Everything is right in the world again.
"Elvis, before the babies are born. I want to be married. Officially."
Elvis stares in disbelief at Jordee for a moment.
"Married? Oh my God. Oh my God. I... I don't want to waste a second. Let's do, love. Right now! Whatever it takes, we'll do it."
"We can find a justice of the peace downtown."
Elvis gets up, grabs Jordee's hand, pulling her across the kitchen.
"Okay! I'm ready! I've waited all this time to have you as my wife. I can't wait another second."
Elvis smiles at Jordee and pulls her out of the kitchen towards the door.
"Elvis, wait. You want to do this now?"
"Absolutely. I've never been more ready for anything. Jor, believe me. C'mon. I'm taking you downtown to the justice of the peace. We're getting married tonight, Jor."
Elvis smiles at Jordee and opens the door, leading her out into the hallway. With a smile on her lips, a gleam in her eyes, and a song in her heart. Jordee follows Elvis to his car.
Elvis opens the passenger door for Jordee and she gets in. Once she's secured, Elvis gets to his side of the car, driving to Downtown Fernandina Beach courthouse.
Ten minutes later, they arrive at the courthouse downtown. Jordee's nerves have settled in.
Smiling, Elvis turns off the car, opens the door, and gets out. He goes around to Jordee's side, opening the door.
"Okay. You ready? Do you want my arm to hold on to?"
"Yes, please."
He smiles, taking her hand. Elvis turns around to walk beside Jordee, leading them towards the doors of the courthouse.
Jordee and Elvis head up the courthouse steps carefully. They head to the clerks office, and Elvis explains that he and Jordee would like to get hitched.
As the clerk prepares the justice of the peace, Elvis and Jordee fill out the paperwork. Jordee's hand shakes slightly as she signs her name. Elvis gently slides his hand over hers, bringing her instant relief. He kisses the side of her forehead.
In the next ten minutes, the clerk comes back to escort Jordee and Elvis to the justice of the peace.
There's a private room prepared for them to get married. Elvis hands over the paperwork, and the justice of the peace takes out a special paper. Their marriage license. They sign the dotted line, and the J.O.P. starts their mini ceremony.
"Are you both ready?" The justice of the peace asked.
They both say yes as they approach the mini alter.
The justice of the peace grabs his his book and puts on his glasses.
"Mr. Presley, please take take your brides hands."
Jordee places her hands out for Elvis to take. Elvis smiles and takes her hands. The J.O.P. starts the mini ceremony.
"We are here this evening to bond these two souls in matrimony. As you both have decided to enter into this commitment, you decide to take care of one another. Elvis, do you take Jordee as your lawfully wedded wife to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, as long as you both shall live?"
Elvis smiles at Jordee and he nods his head.
"Oh, my God. This is the easy part. Of course I do. I'd go further. I'd go beyond what those words mean. I'd do anything for this woman. I'd be her prisoner if it meant she'd stay with me. If it meant that we could be together, then yes. I do."
Jordee starts crying more tears of joy and smiles.
"Jordee, do you take Elvis as your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, in sickness and in health, for richer and poorer, as long as you both shall live?" The J.O.P. asked.
"With all my heart. I do," Jordee replies.
The justice of the peace finishes to ceremony.
"As you both have taken these vows and have decided to dedicate your lives together. I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride."
Elvis smiles and kisses Jordee gently on the lips. It's a soft, sweet, tender kiss. He speaks softly as he takes her into his arms. He looks into her pretty brown eyes.
"You are the love of my life, Jor. You... you are the only woman I'll ever love. From this day forward, we're not just lovers... we're husband and wife."
"I love you, husband. You are the love of my life. I can't wait for these babies to get to meet you."
Jordee kisses Elvis once more. They head out and go back to the beach. The very same beach Elvis first saw her on her sixteenth birthday. The day his life changed forever.
"This beach is so special, Jor. My wife."
"Dear husband. Thank you."
"For what?" Elvis ponders.
"For this crazy adventure. For finding me. Loving me. Being mine. Being yours allowed me to find love in the deadliest ways," Jordee admits.
"That it did. My darling, I'll always protect you no matter what. Forever."
"Forever."
They kiss on the beach in the light of the moon. Their first official night as husband and wife.

Before there was ever a Ten Commandments given, God had blessed the seventh day and declared it holy. I find it so wonderful to know that - not only has He never made the seventh day “not holy anymore” - but even in the New Jerusalem it will still be holy. . .
“As the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me,” declares the Lord, “so will your name and descendants endure. From one New Moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all mankind will come and bow down before me,” says the Lord.” Isaiah‬ ‭66:22-23‬
I am not seventh day Adventist, or in the Hebrew roots movements, and I do not claim any denomination. I just follow Jesus and I believe all of His Word. I always pray to read it from an unbiased position, and I have found no place in His Word where God has changed His feelings about the day He picked and declared to be holy…
And because it was so important to Him - it is important to me, and I have been given so much love for it that I want to honor it, celebrate it, and keep it as He desires us to do.
The Sabbath was meant to be a gift. God knew we would not rest on our own. Rest is as important for our physical and mental health as it is our spiritual health. Spiritually we do rest from our “works” of salvation, because now the law is written on our hearts, so we keep it naturally ~ it was works ~ now it is the fruit of our love for Him. That’s why He said “if you love me you will keep my commandments.”
The 4th commandment is still as important as the other nine. It always amazed me that the one that is actually a gift is the one people don’t like. It’s just weird. And also, I love the way my daughter put it; “the only one that says to “remember” to keep it holy, is the only one people want us to forget. It makes no sense. Just because we are saved does not mean we no longer need rest. And there is a special blessing attached to keeping it too!!!
“This says the Lord: “Keep justice, and do righteousness, For My salvation is about to come, and My righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man who does this, And the son of man who lays hold on it; Who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, And keeps his hand from doing any evil.” Do not let the son of the foreigner who has joined himself to the Lord Speak, saying, “The Lord has utterly separated me from His people”; Nor let the eunuch say, “Here I am, a dry tree.” For thus says the Lord: “To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, and choose what pleases Me, And hold fast My covenant, even to them I will give in My house and within My walls a place and a name better than that of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name that shall not be cut off. “Also the sons of the foreigner Who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him, And to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants ~ Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, And holds fast My covenant ~ even them I will bring to My holy mountain, And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices Will be accepted on My altar; For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” The Lord God, who gathers the outcasts of Israel, says, “Yet I will gather to him others besides those who are gathered to him.”” Isaiah 56:1-8
The Sabbath is a sign that identifies God's people just as a sign identifies a business or a street. It is clearly stated to be a "perpetual covenant" upon God's people. Since the Sabbath has been in force from Creation, it is not just for the Jews, but for the foreigner and all mankind as well. All who keep the Sabbath properly are blessed.
“By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.” Genesis‬ ‭2:2-3‬

Deuteronomy
Chapter 33
1 And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. 2 And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them. 3 Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words. 4 Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob. 5 And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together. 6 Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few. 7 And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies. 8 And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah; 9 Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant. 10 They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar.
11 Bless, LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands: smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again. 12 And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the Lord shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders. 13 And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath, 14 And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon, 15 And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills, 16 And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren. 17 His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh. 18 And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and, Issachar, in thy tents. 19 They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand. 20 And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head.
21 And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments with Israel. 22 And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion's whelp: he shall leap from Bashan. 23 And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess thou the west and the south. 24 And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil. 25 Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be. 26 There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky. 27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them. 28 Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew. 29 Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.

Deuteronomy 33: Moses Blesses The Israelites Before He Dies
1 This is the blessing that Moses the man of God pronounced on the Israelites before his death.
2 He said:
“The Lord came from Sinai     and dawned over them from Seir;     he shone forth from Mount Paran. He came with myriads of holy ones     from the south, from his mountain slopes.
3 Surely it is you who love the people;     all the holy ones are in your hand. At your feet they all bow down,     and from you receive instruction,
4 the law that Moses gave us,     the possession of the assembly of Jacob.
5 He was king over Jeshurun     when the leaders of the people assembled,     along with the tribes of Israel.
6 “Let Reuben live and not die,     nor his people be few.”
7 And this he said about Judah:
“Hear, Lord, the cry of Judah;     bring him to his people. With his own hands he defends his cause.     Oh, be his help against his foes!”
8 About Levi he said:
“Your Thummim and Urim belong     to your faithful servant. You tested him at Massah;     you contended with him at the waters of Meribah.
9 He said of his father and mother,     ‘I have no regard for them.’ He did not recognize his brothers     or acknowledge his own children, but he watched over your word     and guarded your covenant.
10 He teaches your precepts to Jacob     and your law to Israel. He offers incense before you     and whole burnt offerings on your altar.
11 Bless all his skills, Lord,     and be pleased with the work of his hands. Strike down those who rise against him,     his foes till they rise no more.”
12 About Benjamin he said:
“Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him,     for he shields him all day long,     and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders.”
13 About Joseph he said:
“May the Lord bless his land     with the precious dew from heaven above     and with the deep waters that lie below;
14 with the best the sun brings forth     and the finest the moon can yield;
15 with the choicest gifts of the ancient mountains     and the fruitfulness of the everlasting hills;
16 with the best gifts of the earth and its fullness     and the favor of him who dwelt in the burning bush. Let all these rest on the head of Joseph,     on the brow of the prince among his brothers.
17 In majesty he is like a firstborn bull;     his horns are the horns of a wild ox. With them he will gore the nations,     even those at the ends of the earth. Such are the ten thousands of Ephraim;     such are the thousands of Manasseh.”
18 About Zebulun he said:
“Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out,     and you, Issachar, in your tents.
19 They will summon peoples to the mountain     and there offer the sacrifices of the righteous; they will feast on the abundance of the seas,     on the treasures hidden in the sand.”
20 About Gad he said:
“Blessed is he who enlarges Gad’s domain!     Gad lives there like a lion,     tearing at arm or head.
21 He chose the best land for himself;     the leader’s portion was kept for him. When the heads of the people assembled,     he carried out the Lord’s righteous will,     and his judgments concerning Israel.”
22 About Dan he said:
“Dan is a lion’s cub,     springing out of Bashan.”
23 About Naphtali he said:
“Naphtali is abounding with the favor of the Lord     and is full of his blessing;     he will inherit southward to the lake.”
24 About Asher he said:
“Most blessed of sons is Asher;     let him be favored by his brothers,     and let him bathe his feet in oil.
25 The bolts of your gates will be iron and bronze,     and your strength will equal your days.
26 “There is no one like the God of Jeshurun,     who rides across the heavens to help you     and on the clouds in his majesty.
27 The eternal God is your refuge,     and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemies before you,     saying, ‘Destroy them!’
28 So Israel will live in safety;     Jacob will dwell secure in a land of grain and new wine,     where the heavens drop dew.
29 Blessed are you, Israel!     Who is like you,     a people saved by the Lord? He is your shield and helper     and your glorious sword. Your enemies will cower before you,     and you will tread on their heights.”

Morning and Evening with A.W. Tozer Devotional for February 19
Tozer in the Morning Radical Adjustment to the Jesus Way
. . . The truth is that the world does not know where it is going; it has not found life's summum bonum; it is not qualified as a model for the members of society to follow. It is instead puzzled, frightened and frustrated. Generation follows generation into an uncertain future, completely beaten, disappointed and sick at heart.
It was to this kind of world that Jesus came, to save it from itself. He died for its sins and now lives for the salvation of all who will repudiate it, deny the validity of its philosophies and put their trust wholly in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Those who do this no longer seek to be adjusted to society. They have renounced this world and have chosen a new model after which to pattern their lives. This is the aspect of the Christian life that most people do not like. They want comfort, blessing and peace, but they recoil from this radical, revolutionary break with the world. To follow Christ in this rough and thorough-going way is too much for them.
Tozer in the Evening The Wonder of God
Moses took us back to the beginning of all that we see, all that we call the universe. He took us back before the stars and moon were, before space was and before time was, and said, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" (Genesis 1:1). So Moses said that the One who calls us to Himself has a right to do so because He antedates time, He transcends space, He fills His universe and He is God. . . . David, in Psalms 103, showed that this God is not only a God who makes mountains, hills, rivers and streams, who rides upon the wings of the clouds, but He loves His people. "For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him" (v. 11). "But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children--with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts" (vv. 17-18). David tried to impart the incommunicable, tried to tell what cannot be told of the wonder of God.

                        meet  mary sanderson  !
                              33 (335) — PALM READER
favorite song? cherry-coloured funk by cocteau twins
sexuality:  pansexual
pronouns?: she/her
big three? pisces sun, cancer moon, pisces rising
everyone's heard the tales of the sanderson sisters, but to recap for anyone that doesn't know: the three girls, once exiled from old salem, came across a witch in the forbidden woods who exposed them to the powers they held within and gave them a spellbook to strengthen their abilities. the small coven followed the advice of the wise witch for years to come, using spells to keep them youthful and everlasting which required feeding off the souls of children. they were eventually caught and hanged for the crimes of kidnapping, murder and, of course, the whole being witches thing. thankfully, they cast a spell before their death that allowed them to be brought back for one night by a virgin that lit the black flame candle. it wasn't too long ago that they were resurrected on halloween night but without everything needed to keep them around for longer, they were doomed to vanish once again.
it was only two years ago that mary appeared in the flesh once more, but without the help of her sisters, she was left on her own to find out what happened. suffice it to say, a reasoning never came about. she was just happy to be alive. however, without her sisters, it's difficult to navigate the world and most importantly, without any knowledge of where the spellbook is now located, any memory of incantations or potion recipes are very limited. mary still doesn't get why she was brought back instead of either of her sisters but little does she know, she does have a sister running around. the two just haven't come across each other yet.
HC’s:
knows nothing about palm reading but has found out that modern-day people adore this sort of thing so she's dedicated her life to it, she kinda guesses and goes with the flow based off of some videos she's found online
the little powers and spells she could remember got her settled into a small house that she took over from a random couple. she doesn't know what happened to them she just made them go away, she still keeps their pictures and furniture around though just as they left it. she's given them names and stories, it's her favorite pastime to imagine what they're doing now.
mary was the potions bitch, always looming over a cauldron brewing whatever concoction that serves purpose to her and her sisters. that included poisons, spell enhancers and even the anti-aging elixir that helped keep the sandersons looking so young.
truly there for her sisters' approvals and the good vibes, she knows the true power they can hold is strong but ultimately is simple there for sarah and winnie, not wanting to let go of that lifelong friendship they have.
it's not that she's unintelligent, it's more so that it takes her a while to get the point without winnie's help. it's almost like the idea is always on the tip of her tongue she just can never get to it.
has been back for only 2 years so she's still getting adjusted to the present-day life, modern contraptions confuse and kinda scare the hell out of her. she's barely gotten used to the landline phone the previous tenants left behind but she does adore the tv, such funny moving pictures are on all the time!

The Judge of the Whole Earth
There is within our hearts an overarching sense that judgement will eventually come upon the Earth. Whether you're a climate alarmist or a self-righteous religious person whose had enough of the sin of the world, we all carry a sense of foreboding that these things cannot continue.
Isaiah 24 introduces us to the reality that what we sense will some day be reality. The judgment will come.
Isaiah 24:1–3 (ESV) Behold, the LORD will empty the earth and make it desolate, and he will twist its surface and scatter its inhabitants. 2 And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the slave, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the creditor, so with the debtor. 3 The earth shall be utterly empty and utterly plundered; for the LORD has spoken this word.
I think of that first word, "Behold." We are being asked to see this clearly. God will enact vengeance upon the Earth. No one will be treated differently, thus the comparison to priest and people, buyer and seller, lender and borrower. Every corridor of human activity falls under His sovereign right to judge.
People say Christians are judgmental. They can be. But Christians are the people most people should worry about the least. God is the judge and when He judges, it is utter and complete.
Notice the next three verses point to the creation mandate given to man. He was to rule and subdue, but his sin brings harm and retribution from out of the Earth.
Isaiah 24:4–6 (ESV) The earth mourns and withers; the world languishes and withers; the highest people of the earth languish. 5 The earth lies defiled under its inhabitants; for they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, broken the everlasting covenant. 6 Therefore a curse devours the earth, and its inhabitants suffer for their guilt; therefore the inhabitants of the earth are scorched, and few men are left.
That line in verse 5 is perfectly clear: "The earth lies defiled under its inhabitants; for they have transgressed the laws". Mankind is responsible for the tragedies of Earth. Bad stewardship is on his shoulders.
Later in the chapter Isaiah details more of the total destruction to come:
Isaiah 24:17–19 (ESV) Terror and the pit and the snare are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth! 18 He who flees at the sound of the terror shall fall into the pit, and he who climbs out of the pit shall be caught in the snare. For the windows of heaven are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble. 19 The earth is utterly broken, the earth is split apart, the earth is violently shaken.
There is no escaping the judgment of God. More than the creation and Earth's inhabitants, the very angels are judged by the Lord.
Isaiah 24:21–22 (ESV) On that day the LORD will punish the host of heaven, in heaven, and the kings of the earth, on the earth. 22 They will be gathered together as prisoners in a pit; they will be shut up in a prison, and after many days they will be punished.
The "host of heaven" are the angels who rebelled. Notice the line: "after many days they will be punished." What are the "many days"? The days we live in now between their condemnation and eventual final destination in the pit of hell.
Isaiah is speaking of cosmic end-time realities in this chapter. His description of God's judgment is so far-reaching it cannot refer to anything other than what John speaks about in Revelation. God's judgment is complete and just. And the last line bears witness to His right to rule:
Isaiah 24:23 (ESV) Then the moon will be confounded and the sun ashamed, for the LORD of hosts reigns on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and his glory will be before his elders.
Just as John describes a deliberate, step-by-step decreation of the world, so Isaiah unpacks these realities here. But what does it all reveal? It reveals this: God is KING. That God reigns. That no one is actually "getting away with it". We all have to give account. And there is one question that remains for every human born. Have you believed your sins were judged at the cross or would you rather wait for your sins to be judged on the last day?

The question that must be asked
The subject of God’s faithfulness to Israel and His ongoing love for her affects every Believer in Jesus – Jewish or Gentile. The matter sifts down to one audacious question: Is God faithful and trustworthy or not?
Either God is faithful to keep all His covenants, or He can’t be trusted to keep any of them. If God has ceased to love Israel and has broken His covenant with the people He chose for His own, how can we trust His love for those who Believe in Jesus the Messiah? If He changed His mind regarding Israel, how can we trust that He won’t change His mind regarding Believers today?
Thankfully, Scripture answers that bottom-line question with an emphatic “Yes!” The Bible reveals the Lord is eternally faithful and unfailingly loving. He is a promise-fulfilling, covenant-keeping God. Take a look at the verses below, offering this assurance.
God is trustworthy and unchanging
God is trustworthy.
“Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures through all generations. The Lord is trustworthy in all He promises and faithful in all He does” (Psalm 145:13).
God does not lie or change.
“God is not human, that He should lie, not a human being, that He should change his mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?” (Numbers 23:19).
God’s faithfulness is forever.
“For great is His love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever” (Psalm 117:2).
God’s love is forever.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever” (Psalm 136:1).
“I will declare that Your love stands firm forever, that You have established Your faithfulness in heaven itself” (Psalm 89:2).
God keeps His covenants.
“Lord, the God of Israel, there is no God like You in heaven above or on earth below—You who keep Your covenant of love with Your servants who continue wholeheartedly in Your way” (1 Kings 8:23).
“He remembers His covenant forever, the promise He made, for a thousand generations” (Psalm 105:8).
Israel will always be a nation before Him.
“This is what the Lord says, He who appoints the sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar—the Lord Almighty is His name: ‘Only if these decrees vanish from My sight,’ declares the Lord, ‘will Israel ever cease being a nation before Me’” (Jeremiah 31:35–36).

Verse: deuteronomy 33 Write/ Copy Gods words :
33 And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. 11 Bless, Lord, his substance, and accept the work of his hands; smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again.
What is your Favorite verse(s):
Explain in your own words what you just read:
As he looked at Israel with a shepherd’s heart, he could not leave them without blessing them. It must be this way. Moses could not leave this earth without a final blessing of the people he has loved and served in the LORD for these 40 years.
Commitment / what will i do : I will prayed, “Nor let his men be few,” asking that the tribe of Reuben be blessed with growth.

Dancing with the wolves
Tumblr media
There are fairytales about witches and fairytales for witches. Sometimes legends close to truth become stories, which are told to kids before sleep. This is exactly what happened with a life of Dancing with the wolves.
Before the first covens were created there were no reliable chronicles. This is why it is impossible to find any traces of the ancestress of tall witches in this world. There are rumours that maybe not the first one but definitely one of them was the woman between the cold north fog. Her tangled fiery hair flowed down to the chalk-coloured skin which was fully strewed with large freckles and scars. The tall figure was stronger than it could be seen by an unaware person who was staring at narrow shoulders and disproportionally long, thin limbs.
Maybe she had a real name. Anyway, history didn’t save it, just like the first years of the life of Dancing with the wolves. Fairytales narrated about the cold ground under her feet in a cruel for the mortals land. Such lonely as she owns. Only wolves were her family. Ferocious from their harsh lives, they always knew, who could heal their wounds.
It is said, if you listen to the wind itself you could catch the howl of a whole pack. Every beast followed their witch inseparably. They believed it was a good talisman from people. In cultures of nations who lived near you couldn't find a detailed legend about such women. However, in very old rumours and conjectures were left conversations, how hunters saw the wonderful female wolf, who could turn into a woman. This actually happened seldom. It was needed to lead puppets away from mortals.
In some other versions, there were even details about the full absence of clothes on the always wounded body. In such foolishness could believe only humans, forgetting that books about witches are written by people who knew about magic only from scary bedtime stories growing into orders from the priest.
Old, dead nations had stories about Dancing with the wolves saving people. Sometimes it was a lost child, sometimes an injured young maiden. Anyway, the main character of the legends was not always the recluse. That made at once several families the illusion right to claim that they were descendants of an extraordinary ancient lineage from distant frosty lands. Even the absence of love stories among many mentions of hunting and healing didn’t bother them.
This all belonged to the real magic. The main question - what Dancing with the wolves was really capable of? How witch could have werewolf’s powers? Or if she was a half-blood where were the mentions about her parents, even more relict creatures? Maybe the first kids of Day and Night were so powerful, they could own features of several species?  Reputable chroniclers would make fun of that theory but what was the right answer though? Only one witch in the world, who must wander between the stars for years and years, knew the answer.
Yet children between witches of Polaris coven believe that if you will gaze on Moon wastelands standing in the deep and silent forest, you can hear not the beast howl but a human song. And it will be heard from everlasting ices in the place of tiny trees and moss.
