Ok! ONE more actor AU post, then I’ll start switching Aito’s quirk <3
(if you have any recommendations for that btw, send an ask lol)
[work in progress!!]
[We need to get this out for next week’s issue. Ichiro’s working on the visuals, you guys make the transcript look nice.]
[yes sir.]
[Aye boss!]
[You got it]
Hello! I’m Kiyoshi Ono, joined here today by none other than Shishio Ramos! Actor in the new series Kimi no Hīrō Akademia!
Hi! [awe! This kid is so sweet] [He’s barely said anything yet] [hush!]
Hi there Ramos! Could you tell us what this new series is going to be about, and who you’re playing?
Oh yeah! Totally! Well- pretty much it’s a highschool for super powered kids, where[nice][Nice!][?][look at the word count!][juveniles]they each can show off their special abilities and train to become pro heroes! Pro being taken literally there- they’re training to become professional heroes! It’s a really fun thing. Ah- and my character is Aito Takao! Takao’s a silly sort of character- kinda like a villain but she’s on the hero’s side in the end. She’s comic relief for when things get too heavy- mostly because she doesn’t care about what’s making everyone else all bummed out [laughter] yeah- she’s a really narcissistic character- but she’s funny so it’s ok.
Yes, my daughter read the manga that inspired Kimi no Hīrō Akademia, and she says that you guys are making a lot of changes- specifically to Takao?
Oh- yeah [laughter] we’re making a couple changes. Takao’s gonna have the same personality and stuff- don’t worry fans- but… you know, we’ll be adjusting a couple things to make Takao an easier role for me to play. He’ll be going by she/him pronouns for one-
She/Him pronouns?
-yeah! Takao’s gonna be genderfluid! For those who don’t know, there’s a ton of different ways to be genderfluid, but the way that I’m gonna portray Takao as- you know, the way I am- pretty much he’s gonna be kinda a little mix of boy and girl? Ah- it’s kinda hard to explain without getting into a lot of different topics, but- pretty much what the audience has to know is that you could refer to Takao with both he/him and she/her pronouns, and his uniform is gonna be both slacks and a skirt! [Ahhh! I just adore Ramos <333] [he’s just explaining gender presentation?][I KNOW!!!]
Alright, good to know! Anything else you think the fans would like to know about changes?
Yes actually! So- in the manga, both Takao’s parents are like, super dead [laughter] but! The writers thought it would be more fun to [nice] [juvenile][JUVENILE!!!] keep Takao’s mother alive, and be kinda ambiguous with his dad. I won’t go too much into it- but I think new and returning fans of the series are really gonna like it!
Perfect! Now, let’s talk more about you
Oh boy-
[laughter] Don’t worry Ramos- I just wanna learn a bit more about behind the scenes stuff. You’re just coming off Good Morning Nakamuras!, how would you describe the transition between Hanta Kobayashi and Aito Takao?
oh lord- [laughter] yeah yeah- there’s a lot of difference between the two. You can see it really prominently in the writing. Good Morning Nakamuras! was a family sitcom, so it was a lot of ‘someone says something’ ‘someone else says something’ ‘Hanta says something either funny or dumb’ and then a laugh track. Sometimes someone else would come after Hanta to carry the joke, but usually it was just that. [awe… I’m gonna miss Good Morning Nakamuras!] [same here, it was my mom’s favorite!] But with Takao, it’s a much faster pace. It’s just ‘someone says something’ and then immediately ‘Takao says something funny or dumb’ and then immediately back to ‘someone else says something’ and then ‘Takao says something funny or dumb.’ I-I don’t know if I’m explaining it well- it’s just that Takao talks all the time and always has something new or witty to say. He’s just a chatter box without a filter and- that’s kinda fun to do- I always get the final word and it’s always gonna get a laugh, you know? [have you guys seen the trailer yet?] [no, but my niece has! She’s really excited to see the premiere!!] [i have. it looks weird, but my brother is excited for it. his favorite is the blonde one i think]
There’s also the problem with the stunts, you know? Like- the worst of it on Nakamuras! was just the parts where I had to jump the fence, and even then it was just every couple of episodes. On KNHA I have to do all these cool fighting moves- and not to mention how deranged Takao is just… naturally [laughter] he’s just a very energetic guy with a fondness for climbing things- and people! Like you have no clue how tall someone is until your boss points at them and is like “hey, go climb them.” And you have to do it! The pro tip I’m gonna give people-climbers: it’s all in the legs [laughter] you just have to get your legs around them and pray that you don’t look as stupid as you feel. God- the worst part is when you’re climbing someone who's the same height as you! Hiroharu’s actor is about my height, and I have to climb him all the damn time. It feels like you’re gonna crush them, you know? Like you just have to be as light as possible and hope and pray that they can support you. And- and I know that he can, you know? Like me and him have the same personal trainer, and Kyo-San doesn’t do “easy” [laughter] I know that he can hold me, there’s just always that fear you know?
Oh definitely- and speaking of Hiroharu’s actor, we know you’re on the lower end of the age spectrum, do you think that affects how you all work together?
Oh no, definitely not! Yeah I’m younger than a lot of my coworkers, but not by much- 19, 20 in June. I mean I’m glad that I’m so young! Like I said- Hiroharu’s actor is about my height, and I’m like 173, and… you know… Hiroharu’s actor is over 21 I think- he sometimes offers to get drinks with us, so he’s definitely 21 and up- and I hear people stop growing after 18…
What? [laughter] What are your tying to say?
Oh my god wait- wait you can’t leave that in! I work with that guy! I can’t call him short in an interview before the show actually starts- ohh no! Oh god!
The average man’s height is 175!
Oh- ah I’m sure- I’m sure that-that’s true- oh my god-
I’m 174!
Oh my god we can’t leave this in! [laughter] oh my god- I’m sorry I just- I come from a tall family so sometimes I forget that- that you know people- oh my god we have to cut this out [laughter] [make sure to remove this bit] [awe! But it’s funny!!] [we’ll literally be sued if we don’t] [you two are no fun :(]
But yeah, age doesn’t really get in the way of things. We’re all good friends on set- especially Hoshizawa’s actor! Him and Shimoda-san are really cool guys, I love hanging out with them!
Shimoda-san? As in Kosuke Shimoda?
Yes! Shimoda-san plays Ikuto Maekawa, and since our characters are such great friends, I’d like to think we are as well! He’s a real fun guy, and I’m excited to work with such a huge talent- everyone- everyone there is so talented and I’m so lucky to be there.
Ah, speaking of talent. While a large portion of the cast is hidden, we have seen some familiar faces in the trailer. We’ve also seen some familiar faces on social media…
Oh my god-
[laughter] you never publicly addressed it, Ramos! Do you want to talk about your fight with Bryce Aoki?
Oh lord… [laughter] everyone’s so dramatic- so it wasn’t a fight- it’s just- ok so we had a little scene together where I would push him out of frame, but he wanted to still be seen and I was fine with that. Choreography is very important to me, so we had a passionate discussion-
Passionate discussion that ended with Aoki getting a black eye?
That- [laughter] that was an accident! I was- so we were practicing by the makeup desks- bad decision I know, but- stop looking at me like that! [laughter] It was just- we’re standing like we would in the scene, and I go to shove him- and- and I’m aiming for his head but- but maybe I accidentally hit his eye - and he absolutely wipes out, like this kid’s on the ground and I’m like “holy sh*t I just punched a kid” you know? [laughter] [she’s like, barely a year older than him…] but! Bryce is a sweetheart, and luckily he’s alright-
He got a black eye! He posted about it!
Oh he! He’s just a bit dramatic! He’s an actor though, it’s our jobs to be a bit looney [laughter]
Alright then, it seems we've run out of time for tonight. Anything you want to say?
Yes! I want to wish everyone a lovely evening! Thank you for the support! -And make sure to watch Kimi No Hīrō Akademia when it comes out this summer!

MDZS fanfic sensitivity beta
Hi~ I’m Ana
I’m,,,very bad at Tumblr >.< but I am writing a fic in the mdzs fandom and would really love a sensitivity beta to look over some of my canon references and use of Chinese terms. I’m very new to the wuxia/Xianxia genre and I don’t want to accidentally say or use a term that offends or misrepresents the genre.
Beta-ing is hard work and I’d never expect anyone to sign up to beta without having first peeked at what they’d be working on, so I’ve placed the first chapter of my fic down below.
Some disclaimers/primers: this fic is a crossover between Kimi no na wa/Your Name and mdzs--you don't have to have seen Your Name to follow along, but it wouldn’t hurt to know the plot I am ripping off >.< It includes body swapping and a major character death (if we count wwx dying and coming back to life as mo xuanyu as actually dying...) and for some reason, I have made everyone witches...yeah. Sorry >.< WangXian is the main (and kind of only) ship! Rated T solely because I am incapable of not cussing. I don't plan on writing any smut or explicit scenes for this series <,< (...for now.)
Anyways, here's chapter one of the series. Please let me know if you’d be interested in beta-ing for me! I really want to polish this fic before posting it on ao3 or anything >.<
he who swallowed a falling star
chapter one [everything must have a beginning]
Mornings have never once been Wei Wuxian’s friend. He hates mornings—he hates the sharp light of dawn and the cacophony of noise that comes with the world waking. He much prefers the night, the quiet and stillness, the ambience and mystery. There’s no mystery in the mornings—there’s only groggy musings as one cracks open their eyes to the stinging light of day and wipes away crust from their lashes. His body always violently protests to waking—sleep is so precious! It’s calming and good and nice and to be forced awake is among the greatest tragedies of mankind.
Except…except this morning he doesn’t feel like groaning and burying his head into his pillow. This time, his body actually feels sort of…good? That can’t be right. No one feels good in the mornings; the only ones who do are sociopaths and masochists.
And yet as he stretches awake with a yawn, his limbs feel light and his mind feels rested. So much so that his surroundings are immediately clear.
He has absolutely no idea where in the world he is.
He’s in a bed, at least that much is clear—a very soft bed with sheets that smell like sandalwood and covers with textured silk. Exquisite fabric, he’d never so much as been allowed to touch something so expensive before—he has a knack for putting stains where formerly there were none, so all of his own clothes and sheets are of durable fabrics. Stains add character! There’s a story behind every stain…not always an exhilarating story but a tale, nonetheless.
The room in which the bed he is resting on is absurdly clean. So clean as to seem clinical, or maybe decorative, as if he’d stumbled into a dollhouse meant for display purposes only. It’s lovely, a pretty screen separating the bed from the sitting area, decorated with an elegant painting of mountains bathed in mist. The furniture is expensive and luxurious and just looking at how nicely it’s all been cared for makes Wei Wuxian break out into hives. What even is the point of owning furniture if you’re not going to use it?
He taps his chin and tries to remember the night before. Just how much liquor had he drunk to find himself warming someone else’s bed? Had he even been drinking last night? Shit…maybe he should take shijie’s advice and cut back a bit. His eyes wander to the finger tapping away and he pauses because…well that really doesn’t look like his finger. Or his hand. Or his arm.
He scrambles to the nearest reflective surface—a basin of water in a porcelain bowl that’s probably more expensive than everything he owns combined. The face that looks back at him is…breathtakingly beautiful. Skin the color of white jade, softer than the inner petals of a peony, silky midnight hair draped down broad shoulders to rest at the small of his back, and bright golden eyes somewhere between the shade of the sun as it reflects on ice and wheat dancing in a breeze upon a gilded field.
It’s so beautiful that it narrows down the theories currently running through his head down to two: A) he has died and (mistakenly) ascended to heaven to live the rest of eternity as the most beautiful angel to have ever existed, or B) he’s dreaming. B) seems more likely, especially since the likelihood of Wei Wuxian going to heaven is probably somewhere in the negatives. Plus, witches don’t go to heaven…or technically even believe in heaven. Not to say that there isn’t an afterlife but—he’s rambling. His mind is whirring with so many thoughts that even he can’t keep up with them all.
“Huh.” Oh this man’s voice is so deep and rich that Wei Wuxian’s spine tingles at the sound. “Shit, even his voice is beautiful.”
He hums a few nonsensical notes just to listen to the different octaves; a deep voice, but a melodic one. He wonders if this person is a singer—he certainly has a lovely voice for singing. His eyes wander around the room, searching for…well he’s not really sure. His own body, perhaps? Proof that this is a dream? Or maybe signs of spellwork gone incredibly wrong. It wouldn’t be the first time one of his experimental enchantments went awry.
He starts rummaging through drawers and opening doors, hoping to learn more about the person whose body he now possesses. The handsome stranger is astoundingly boring. Not a speck of dust anywhere or a book out of place—even the poetry on this person’s shelf is…bland, at best. He tosses open the closet, hoping for literal or figurative skeletons. Someone this perfect can’t possibly exist in real life. Maybe instead of a dream this is a hallucination—Wei Wuxian has trouble believing that his active mind would conjure someone so dull but, well even he has off days. Or nights, he supposes. Is it night where he’s dreaming? Doubtful, given his sleep schedule but—he’s rambling again.
Within the closet hangs a full-length mirror, and he pauses in his rummaging to admire the body of the most boring person he’s…well they haven’t technically met, have they?
He’s even more beautiful in the crystal-clear reflection, tall and toned with arms that should be illegal. Wei Wuxian grins and quickly strips off his outer robes (so white that they remind him of mourning robes. He gets distracted when he imagines the scene he must have made whilst asleep—so ethereal and white and pure); the image that greets him is ridiculous. Abs that could cut steel on skin the color of flawless white porcelain, not a blemish in sight. His fingers dance across the muscle, laughter bubbling out of him. Oh what a sound—this gege really is perfection given flesh, isn’t he?
He smiles at his reflection and conjures as many funny faces as he can come up with. Well if he’s stuck in an angel’s body, he might as well have some fun, shouldn’t he?
.
.
.
Wei Wuxian bounds across the halls, chased by the knowledge that he is most definitely late for breakfast. Dawn has already segued into late morning, and if he wants any sort of meal before lessons, he will have to sprout wings and fly across the residence—an idea he’d actually toyed with before, but enchantments that alter the flesh are too finicky and he quite likes keeping all his fingers and toes.
He mentally prepares himself to face the routine “How could you have slept in so late!?” from Jiang Cheng and the “A-Xian, are you not sleeping well?” from Yanli and the knowing smile from Jiang Fengmian, matched only by the scathing glare from Madam Yu that has accompanied every breakfast he can remember having at Lotus Pier. To which he will smirk and tease Jiang Cheng, complain and pout to Yanli, return Jiang Fengmian’s smile and cautiously avoid Madam Yu’s gaze.
Wei Wuxian loves his morning routine, even if it doesn’t technically count as having happened in the morning.
“How do you always manage to sleep in so late!?”
Ah, Jiang Cheng is so predictable—Wei Wuxian loves that about him.
“I was having the best dream!” He responds as he flops onto his mat at the table, shoveling food into mouth as fast as he can pour extra chili sauce onto everything.
“Oh? What about?” Jiang Fengmian’s smile is no less endearing for being as predictable as Jiang Cheng’s anger—perhaps even more so because of it.
“Hmmm,” he pauses in stuffing his face to try and remember his dreams, but the haze of sleep has yet to lift, “huh—I can’t actually remember?”
“How do you know it was a good dream if you can’t even remember it?” Jiang Cheng’s sneering makes him smile, bits of rice on display for his favorite (and only) brother.
“I don’t have to remember every detail to know that it was a good dream!”
It’s true—although he can’t remember anything of what he’d dreamt, the feeling of joy lingers, even as the fog of sleep lifts under the light of day.
“Here, A-Xian, have some lotus seeds. I saved some for you.”
He gulps down some tea to clear the sticky rice from his teeth and perches at Yanli’s elbow with his lips parted, her eyes crinkling into adorable crescents as she pops a lotus seed into his mouth.
“A-Li.” Even on the best of days, Madam Yu’s tone could strip paint from the walls, varnish from the wood within the halls; it was like listening to the crack of a whip, or the rumbling of thunder. Yanli wilts under her strict gaze, eyes dropping to the hands she folds in her lap.
“I am glad to see you back to yourself, A-Ying.” (I’m not sure this is a good way for jfm to address wwx—in the original text he never actually says wwx’s name, but he does call jc A-Cheng; I want to show here that jfm favors wwx) Jiang Fengmian’s tone is the opposite of Madam Yu’s; soft where hers is harsh, calm where hers is agitated. The difference between them is jarring—like the crack of lightning meeting the quiet currents of a flowing river.
“Yes, how very fortunate we are to see you returning to your ways.” Another crack of lightning, this one closer to the babbling brook that is Uncle Jiang, the waters left disrupted and discordant.
“Wait, what?” Wei Wuxian has never feared the thunder, nor the storm.
“You went psycho yesterday and woke at dawn. You even cooked breakfast, but it was bland as shit. It was honestly the most disgusting thing I’ve ever eaten.”
Where Yanli wilts under Madam Yu’s glares, Jiang Cheng grows more uncertain, and uncertainty breeds anger within him. Except this anger is often a guise, smoke to the fire that is his worry. Wei Wuxian smiles at him, basking in the concern the same way a flower dances in the breeze.
“Aw, don’t sound too concerned Jiang Cheng.”
The way he snorts and rolls his eyes makes it easier for Wei Wuxian to gloss over the fact that he can’t really remember the day before. An odd gap in his memory, but he shrugs it off and sneaks more lotus seeds from Yanli, who hides a smile behind her hand as she passes him the morning paper.
“Did you see? The comet will be visible on the day of the banquet. Maybe we’ll see a falling star or two.”
“Hmm? Would shijie like falling stars? Maybe I’ll catch one and bottle it up, just for you.”
Her laughter is honey, her smile sunshine; perhaps he should bottle that instead, for use on rainy days or cold winters when the lotuses close their petals.
“A-Cheng, you have lessons to attend to. You do not have the luxury of falling behind.”
“Yes, mother.” The only time Jiang Cheng ever sounds subdued is in deference to Madam Yu, and the sound grates against Wei Wuxian’s ears.
“A-Xian, you should head off to lessons too. You don’t want to be late.” Yanli sneaks the last of the lotus seeds into his hand; he’s convinced she’s on a mission to fatten him up, to which he has zero complaints. If he could gorge on shijie’s lotus seeds for eternity, he would.
“Oh? From what I hear, Wei Wuxian’s time is better spent hunting pheasants and flying kites with the younger witchlings.”
What a nasty storm to deal with so early in the day. He doesn’t fear thunder, but nor does he seek rain.
“The kites were actually an enchantment I was testing out. I finally fixed the talisman to facilitate one’s qinggong[1] to the point of weightlessness. Those kites were—”
“You did what!?”
“There’s no need to shout, Jiang Cheng. The actual enchantment is pretty simple if you cast on the right night. I have a theory that the casting is a lot easier during a full moon, but I managed just fine when it was waning—”
“You—Wei Wuxian!” Jiang Cheng’s cheeks puff with indignation, his face as red as the chili sauce Wei Wuxian slathers on every meal.
“Yes, I’m here!” He answers with laughter, snickering and dodging as Jiang Cheng lunges for him, waving at Yanli as he darts out the room. He’d skip class if he didn’t want to write down another idea for an enchantment in his grimoire, of which he’s about forty percent sure is in his desk…or buried under his other inventions somewhere in his room. Or maybe he left it in the atrium when he was searching for a specific constellation?
Jiang Cheng chases him from the residence, out through the courtyards and down into the docks of Lotus Pier. He smiles and waves at the merchants, eyeing all the pastries and water chestnuts, winking at runny-nosed children from the nearby households. His heart feels both heavy and light—too full to dream of moving and yet so buoyant he might drift along with the next passing breeze.
The giant lake gleams under the light, lotuses dancing and swaying in the wind, the sound of home bustling around him. Wild magic whispers through the air, flows through the undercurrents of the lake, along the waterways for miles and miles until it reaches the ocean. An idea pops into his head to attempt to track the energy, map out the ley lines, but he catches the shadow of a pheasant nearby and pushes the thought down his list of priorities.
He smiles and dodges Jiang Cheng’s attempts to toss him into the lake, grappling each other into headlocks as they make their way towards the lecture halls. He sighs at the idea of another long, boring monologue in spellcraft theory, but the idea of enchanting a few papermen to dance behind the Adeptus keep his steps light. The witchlings always love a good show—perhaps he’ll put on his own little play for them. With the right paper, he might be able to craft a jade rabbit and play the story of Chang’e and Hou Yi. Maybe he could make them sing? A whistle from a witch is a powerful thing. Or he could tell the story of Ragnarok, the Twilight of the Gods—his head buzzes with ideas, excitement filling his veins at the prospect of researching more of the lost stories of old gods and immortals.
Endnotes:
[1] Qinggong (in most cultivation/wuxia novels) is the art of manipulating qi to walk on water or move across surfaces; it’s also a real technique in Chinese martial arts. Read about it here
If you got this far, thanks for reading! Even if you're not interested in beta-ing, I’d still love to hear feedback! I don’t normally post such long pieces on Tumblr, but I wasn't sure what else to do >.< I hope you liked it!

Be honest, did Fifty Shades of Grey arouse you in any way? I honestly never felt the need to see a single page, hear of the plot, or watch any part from any of the movies tbh. I just heard from everyone it was full of smut and it was enough to turn me away from it. Then it got banned in my school which definitely helped in not having to hear anything about it again.
What does your sibling(s) call you? In third-person they refer to me as Ate, which is the honorific for older sister. But my sister usually addresses me simply by looking my way and starting her sentence/question from there.
Do you have any close friends that are the opposite sex that your significant other dislikes? I don’t have a significant other anymore but my ex used to be unnecessarily mean about some of my close guy friends. I didn’t like some of her friends too, but I always had some valid reason behind it, e.g. they were creepy around her, they were aloof towards me, etc. But she didn’t like some of my guy friends by the sole fact that they were guys and she didn’t trust them around me, and like it was just something I couldn’t do anything about tbh. It also hurt me, because I love my guy friends and it didn’t feel right that she hated and criticized them without even wanting to make the effort to get to know them.
Do you honestly believe everything happens for a reason? Why or why not? My life is the grand sum of what I make of things. Idk if that’s able to address the question, but that is how I see the world in general.
Do you believe in reincarnation? Why or why not? No. Doesn’t really sit well with me, simply put. I believe that when I die, that is it for me; same with all other living beings.
The Hunger Games or The Maze Runner? I guess The Hunger Games. I saw the first movie and fairly enjoyed it, but that’s it as far as my interest in the franchise goes. I have never had any idea what The Maze Runner is about, and I honestly keep confusing it for the Divergent series for some reason lol.
Has anyone you’ve known claimed to be psychic? I don’t think so. If I did, I probably have already made the conscious decision not to hang out with them a lot haha.
Did/do you believe them? If I did know someone, I would not believe them.
Is anything annoying you right now? It’s fucking Sunday evening and I am not in the mood to go back to work tomorrow. I’m also staying up late (it’s already past 11 PM) and I know I’m already going to regret this, which is annoying me even more.
Have you ever been ice-skating? Yes! So many times as a kid. We don’t get actual snow though, so some malls have artificial ice skating rinks for those who want to do so. From ages 8-10 my mom would drop me off at the rink for me to practice/play in for a few hours because she knew I didn’t like tagging along in errands.
Does the sound of rain at night help you sleep? I wouldn’t say it helps me sleep since I generally have no issues dozing off, but the sound does make me feel calm and relaxed.
Have you ever seen an albino person, in person? Yes, I had a classmate with albinism at one point.
Have you ever worn a pair of scrubs? I don’t think I ever have. I never had to.
Have you ever walked into a massive cobweb? Probably. Or, at least, shot my hand out in an area where I ended up feeling a big cobweb.
What would you say is your strongest felt emotion right now? Despair. Hahahaha. Give me a longer fucking weekend, universe.
Are you talking to anyone at the moment? No, just this survey.
Do you have trust issues? Well now I do.
Have you ever found an arrow head? I don’t know; I don’t think so.
Who is with you? It’s just me in my room now. Kimi didn’t enter with me, and I think he wants to hang out in the corridor for a bit tonight. He’ll knock once he wants to be in here.
What can you not stop thinking about? How much longer I should continue doing this survey because I need to get sleep if I don’t want to wake up cranky.
Do you forgive easily? No. I tend to hold grudges, and I’d rather be honest and straightforward about my grudges than lie to someone’s face that I’ve forgiven them when I know within myself that I still resent them. I feel like that would be unfair to them anyway so it’s grudges all the way for me.
In what part of your life so far, have you learned the most about yourself? Not sure there’s a most. I possess self-awareness so I continue to learn as I get older. < Yeah I gotta go with this one. In every start of a new chapter in my life, I always seem to pick up new details or lessons about myself.
Have you ever been in a fist fight? I’ve been in physical fights but no fists were ever thrown.
Are your ears pierced? Yes, they are indeed.
What did you last say out loud? Something along the lines of “Not yet? Alright” to Kimi when he decided he didn’t want to enter my room with me.
What are you waiting on? I’m waiting on Friday already -____-
Do you tell people when they get on your nerves? Not usually. I like expressing it indirectly, like having shorter patience with them or ignoring them completely.
Are your feelings hurt easily? This working girl has to sleep, lmao. Catch y’all soon. Okay, where were we... Yeah, I would say being sensitive is one of my main traits. It’s fairly easy for me to get my feelings hurt, and I tend to overthink/overanalyze the simplest of jokes or comments towards me.
What's the most expensive piece of clothing you have? Did you buy it yourself? I haven’t started shelling out when it comes to clothes; like I’ve mentioned before, most of my money goes to food and the rest goes to gas, lmao. My most expensive clothes are probably just my WWE shirts. The merch I own are of the biggest wrestlers during the time I got them, so it was their shirts that cost the highest.
Who is your closest platonic friend of the opposite sex? Probably Hans. The two of us don’t talk much at all, but we always bond super well when we’re together and I can count on him to give me honest, hard-pill-to-swallow advice. Angela has to be with us though, or else I’ll feel awkward and shy.
How do you think your first relationship shaped who you are as a partner now? Yes, but there are good and bad sides to it. I will always be thankful to Gabie for tirelessly encouraging me to try out new things, expand my horizons, and to be unafraid to discover what I am capable of. She was undoubtedly my biggest supporter, especially when it came to going out of my comfort zone. I grew a lot from my relationship with her, so much so that it has definitely helped shape me to be the much braver, risk-taker person I am today. I like who I am now, and I won’t deny that it was she who helped in bringing that person out of her shell.
Bad side...she made me say sorry a lot. For her, she could do no wrong; and even if she did, she was always able to flip a situation around to make it sound like it was actually my fault. And so I said sorry, a lot. For four years. And on my end, I don’t think I received a lot of the apologies I think I deserved. So these days, I get jumpy with people and always feel the need to panic and apologize for the smallest shortcomings. She also always wanted to win arguments. Getting her point across and me agreeing with it mattered more than actually resolving arguments and moving our relationship forward. Bad as it was, it taught me a personal lesson: I learned how to negotiate and communicate better in my other relationships because I wanted to avoid the toxic dynamic I had in my own relationship.
As sad as I am that I lost the relationship and as much as I continue to think of the things that could have been, these days I get sadder instead when I think of how much I allowed myself to be treated that way. Of course, I’m very aware that I had my own set of problematic traits too. I’m not saying I was the model significant other (I was far from it), but the main difference between us is that I was always striving to be better in the relationship. I wanted to address the issues she had with me and to try to be a better, kinder person from it, for her sake and for my own personal growth. Unfortunately, all my attempts at healthy communication with her was always met with, “I can’t change who I am because this is already me.” Anyway, I’m rambling and I’m starting to feel sad again. Next question! Hahahaha.
Who is your favorite protagonist of the same sex? Claire Foy’s Elizabeth from The Crown.
Were you popular in high school? What was your reputation like? I was invisible in freshman and sophomore years, High school was the start of a new chapter, and my track record with new life chapters was never impressive because I take longer than normal to adjust to new environments. By third year I reconnected with Angela, and she hung out with the popular kids, so soon enough I got pulled into that crowd. I’d say by the end of high school I was a solid point on the radar - it was also thanks to my open secret of a same-sex relationship in a Catholic school, if we’re being honest lol - but I never liked having the spotlight on me. I liked that I had popular friends, but I myself never wanted to stir up shit on my own. I was just glad to be constantly invited to soirées and underground parties, lmao.
Have you always known your sexual orientation or did something happen to make you realize it? I’ve always been icky about the concepts of dating and sex. I could never imagine being intimate with anyone, and sex isn’t the biggest priority for me in relationships. The only time it makes the most sense to me is if I did it with someone I’ve built a solid, strong connection with; a close friend that I could trust. Realizing those made it easier to accept within me that I’m demi, or at least dancing around somewhere under the asexual umbrella.
What was the hardest part of your last break up? Coming to terms with how shittily I was treated, during and after. By the end of our relationship, she made it seem as though talking to me and maintaining the relationship was a chore. Every mistake I made sent her into a rage, which always ended in me rapidly apologizing in tears. Then after the breakup, she simply wanted to cut ties with me. She was never willing to allow me to healthily process the situation, and whenever I had questions in mind she would answer them curtly, and not give me reflective answers or perspectives. I begged for a long time to have my questions answered and to allow myself the teeniest bit of closure.
I had such a shiny, sparkly, perfect, can-do-no-wrong idea of my girlfriend for our entire friendship; so to take my rose-colored glasses off was the hardest part of it all. But taking that hard step was also the first step to healing, so it brought some good too I guess. I just wish getting to the good and easy part didn’t have to be so painful.
What brought you out of the hardest period in your life? The awareness that I had friends who unconditionally care about me. Also if I’m being honest, the Christmas break. I realized I was having such a hard time with my breakup because I was also already dealing with work burnout and the pressure of being in a new position and trying to make as few as mistakes as possible  – so by the time the Christmas break rolled around and I had two weeks of no work, it was enough for me to recharge, realign my priorities, and determine the things and people that matter and that I want to keep.
What's your favorite kind of smiley face? Idk, I guess just :)? I like keeping my emoticons simple.
Does anybody know your deepest darkest secret? I dunno if I have one.
Did you ever watch Rugrats? (the babies) I did, but I never liked it. I remember Rugrats very specifically because this was the show that would be on Nickelodeon whenever me and my sister would be woken up at 5 AM to prepare for school. It came before Legends of the Hidden Temple, which was a lot more fun to watch.
What about Hey Arnold? I caught it often because this was also an early morning show (it came after Legends of the Hidden Temple), but I was never into it either. I also never got to watch the episodes in full because the school bus would pick me up by the time this was on the air.
Do you like pep rallies? Idk what that is.
Have you ever had pneumonia? No.
What do you feel about surgeries? Do they worry you? The possibility of accidentally waking up in the middle of a surgery and being unable to speak out because I was anaesthetized scares me more than anything else. But since I’ve never had to have a surgery before, I imagine feeling completely terrified if the time ever comes for me to have one.
Do you play Minecraft? if so, feelings about servers? I don’t play it. I think I tried it before, but it just never stuck with me. The most I’ve gone with it is to watch several playthroughs by Pewdiepie. I have no clue what you mean by servers.
Do you read creepypastas? No. I’m familiar with some, but I never read any.
Do you think vlogging in public is scary? I feel like this survey contains snippets from many different surveys because I’ve definitely answered this question before...but anyway, I wouldn’t say it’s scary per se but I AM shy when it comes to these things, and I don’t think I have it in me to carry a camera around in public and directly speak to it.
Have you been to an escape room? Was it a success? Mmm no, doesn’t sound like my idea of fun either. I don’t like solving puzzles hahaha.
What social class would you say you're in? Middle class. We live a relatively comfortable life in this country.
Have you ever recorded a cover of a song? Nope. I have never recorded myself singing because it has never been necessary lol.
How do you feel about guns? Not a fan. If I needed weapons for self-defense, I’d get anything other than a gun.
What's the most traumatizing event that ever happened to you? The drunken rages I had to helplessly watch from my childhood years.
Are you faint to the sight of blood? Yeah absolutely. Like I’ve always felt bad about it but I was such a shit helper whenever my ex had her semi-regular nosebleeds. I did help, I just panicked and nearly hyperventilated every time I did so because of the blood HAHA
Do you like spicy food? Love them, but the food has to be meaningfully spicy for me to enjoy it - like curry or laksa. Spicy food shouldn’t just be dishes with sprinkled spicy powder as a finishing touch, because for the most part that just irritates my throat and it doesn’t allow me to appreciate the spiciness.
Do you have good dreams or nightmares more? I think I am back to having simply strange dreams. But in the last few months, my nights had. been regularly plagued with nightmares.
When was the last time someone insulted you? What was the insult? Idk it was probably something my mom said that I had discarded from my memory. I’ve gotten so much better at that now.
What’s your second favorite color? Baby pink/pastel pink.
Do you ever wish you lived in a different country? I think about this everyday. Yes.
Who’s the last person you “pounded” fists with? One of my uncles.
Have you ever been involved in an affair? Nope.
How many times a week do you speak to your boss? I talk to them everyday since we have a Viber chat. I wouldn’t know what tasks to do or prioritize without them, so we need to be in touch all the time.
What do you want for your birthday? I don’t even want to think about my first birthday without her...but anyway, mine and Cooper’s birthday are super close to each other, so I actually want to throw a small party at home celebrating our birthdays haha :) Cooper can get his own doggie cake and cupcakes, heheh.
Have you ever been to a masquerade? I don’t think so.
Is there anybody you think is hot over the age of 40? I’m sure I can think of a couple of people I know.
Who in your phone has a heart after their name? Angela.
Anything you’re avoiding? I wanna avoid work for the next hour or so. Then once I’ve done some recharging, I can continue with a few tasks tonight so that my workload can be just a bit lighter tomorrow morning.
After breaking up, what’s the worst? Depends on the breakup. < Agreed.
Does your sibling have a significant other? I don’t think either of them has.
Do you use Skype? Not since a decade ago. At work, we mainly use Google Meet. Some clients will use Zoom; one client uses Teams.
Are you a fan of acrylic nails? Not yet, but I do want to try it out someday just to spoil myself haha.
Name one happy song that describes you better than any other. Idk if I can call myself happy just yet...hmm. Paramore does have a short song/interlude called I’m Not Angry Anymore, and it’s a happy-sounding song with a very passive-aggressive message hahaha. I’d say that’s me right now. Some of the lyrics go:
“I’m not bitter anymore, I’m syrupy sweet I’ll rot your teeth down to their core if I’m really happy
Depends on the day, if I wake up in a giddy haze Well, I’m not angry, I’m not totally angry, I’m not all that angry anymore” and everything about it is so meeeeee.
Name one sad/mellow song that describes you better than any other. Forgiveness, also by Paramore. Sorry I’m in a music slump y’all. Only Paramore has been able to make my days the slightest bit better.
What is your most used pick up line? I don’t use those, nor do I like hearing those.
Do you like the taste of alcohol? Sure. I like strong mixed drinks the best, though.
What kinds of food make you sick? I don’t have a weak stomach when it comes to food. The only food that has made me sick are expired foods.

love is found in crowded streets and coffee shops
For Quagswagging as part of the Summer Break Fic Exchange 2019. As usual, crossposted to my AO3 (Charante_Leclerc). Prompts are always open. Enjoy! ❤️
The residents of Stirling Street were, for the most part, good friends. They were a tight knit community of five shops, and possibly a little co-dependent for their own good. Seb owned Horse & Bull Repairs Shop, fixing anything from watches to car engines. Kimi and Kevin were next door at Iceman Tattoos, which sometimes also did alcohol (it was never advised). On the other side of him was Restaurant de Monte-Carlo, run by Romain and his trusty crew, and kept very traditionally French. Across the road was Jenson and Fernando’s Champions Coffee Shop & Bakery, once started as two separate shops, but they had ended up sharing so many customers they’d eventually given in and taken down the inbetween wall. Next to them was Jev and Andre’s shop, which was… well, they seemed to change it every week, the rest of them had given up trying to predict what shop it was going to be.
Stirling Street was great. Except for the fact that Seb and Kimi hated each other.
No-one knew how the rivalry had started, not even the two of them. It was just a fact of life by now. They opened their shops, argued about where their poster boards were situated at 9.15 exactly, sniped their way through their lunch break at Champions, and yelled at each other through their shared wall about their choice in music.
“We need to do something.” Jenson groaned, after Seb and Kimi had left following another tense lunch-break. “They’re always at each other's throats, and frankly, it’s driving me insane.”
“I can’t hear myself think.” Kevin muttered. “I need to stay out of there as long as possible.”
“Romain said he has heard them yelling three time this week. Three times. It is insane.” Fernando said glumly. “And they argued over what was the best flavour muffin. And they were both wrong.”
“They didn’t choose my Key Lime Pie muffin?” Jenson sounded wounded. “What did they choose?”
“Seb said chocolate chip.” Fernando flinched at Jenson’s sharp intake of breath. “You do not want to know what Kimi said.”
“Tell me what he said.”
Fernando sighed. “Vanilla. He said vanilla.”
“He said what?” Jenson yelped. “Is he open? I need to have words with him.”
Fernando watched Jenson leave, shaking his head. He’d said that he wouldn’t want to know. People really should listen to him.
“How can we stop them fighting?” Lando asked, clearing plates. “They’re pretty much always at each other’s throats.”
“You’re missing the point.” Lewis said from a nearby table, who had before looked completely asleep. He still did, except for the part his mouth was moving.
“What’s the point then?” Kevin asked curiously.
“It’s not that they hate each other. It’s that they don’t.”
“What do you mean, they don’t?” Lando frowned. “Of course they do. They fight all the time!”
“It’s because they’re scared.” Lewis shrugged. “They don’t actually hate each other, but they’re terrified of not-hating each other. It’s comfortable, it’s a relationship they know.”
“That makes sense.” Fernando shrugged. “I can work with it.”
Jenson stormed back in, eyes suspiciously red. “He won’t apologise. Said his opinions are his own and that vanilla is a valid choice.” His voice sounded wobbly. “It’s fine.”
“Did you cry during or after this discussion?” Fernando raised an eyebrow. Jenson shuffled.
“During.”
“You do know that he’s going to remember that forever.”
“Yep.”
“Just checking.”
“So,” Lando leaned on the counter. “So we need to convince them that they don’t hate each other? How hard can it be?”
~*~
It was pretty hard.
Romain kept on complaining that he could hear Kimi shouting at Seb, and had even sent his waiters over to try and calm the situation.
It hadn’t.
Pierre, Charles and Esteban had stumbled back to the restaurant terrified, Kevin alongside, and needed two shots each until they stopped trembling. They looked shell-shocked for another week.
Jenson tried talking to Seb one afternoon, bringing muffins as a go-between (chocolate chip included). Seb had taken the muffin’s, had listened as long as it had taken to eat them, before turfing Jenson out. (He’d agreed to mend the bakery clock free of charge though. It might have something to do with Jenson lying in the doorway, holding his muffin tub, determined not to move. Bribery was sometimes needed).
Even Jev had tried. Which was something that no-one had ever imagined happened, as Jev and Andre acted like the cool kids that thought everything was beneath them. Jev had wandered into the bakery at lunchtime, looking unconcerned, and had attempted to mediate one of their arguments. When he’d left, his usually perfect hair had been sticking up on end, and something was popping in his jaw.
Everyone had tried, except for Lewis, who refused to get involved. Something about them figuring it out for themselves.
“What are we going to do?” Jenson moaned. “It’s like everything we do makes things worse!”
“No more meddling here.” Fernando threatened. “Look at George.”
Jenson looked over to where George was lying with his head on a table, cheesecake in his hair. Lando was patting him on the back, while Carlos was trying to brush as many crumbs as possible out of his hair. Alex was playing gentle music from his phone, making comforting noises.
“Look at him Jenson.” Fernando repeated. “He has cheesecake in his hair. I don’t even know how they got cheesecake, we don’t sell cheesecake.”
“It was fantastic aim though.” Andre shrugged. “Can’t deny that. Two double espressos to go please.”
“Those are going to keep you up all night you know?” Fernando said. “Or give you superpowers, you’ve been getting those everyday for a year.”
“Betting on it.” Andre winked. “Plus, gotta keep looking hot somehow.”
“Amen.” Lewis chimed in from the back of the bakery. Jenson jumped a little, staring at him.
“I thought he was asleep, didn’t you think he was asleep?”
“Maybe you should convince them of the things that they like about each other.” Andre suggested. “Vodka, racing, ice-cream. Start slow.” He picked up both espressos, downed one after the other, before grinning. “See you later.”
“He’s going to die.” Carlos said in admiration. “He is insane.”
“Do you think that would work?” Jenson asked. “Slowly warming them up to each other?”
“Cannot do much worse, can it?” Fernando replied. “It will either stay the same or they will want to bang each other in a week.”
“Challenge accepted.” Jenson looked determined. “Better than the arguing.”
~*~
“So, Seb.” Jenson leaned up on Seb’s counter, grinning. “Ice-cream?”
Seb gave him a weird look. “Sure.” He said slowly, taking one of the offered ice-creams. “What do you want?”
“I can come and hang out with you, can’t I? We’re friends.” Jenson laughed. “So, vodka? What’s that about?”
“Are you trying to make me like Kimi?” Seb raised an eyebrow, tapping a finger against the counter. “Because it’s not going to work.”
“What, no! No, no no…” Jenson trailed off. “Well, good chat.” He backed away towards the door. “Lovely, lovely chat.”
“Tell them it’ll take more than that to sort out your problem.” Seb called after him. “And I want a free coffee for that attempt!”
~*~
Jenson spent twenty seconds in Kimi’s shop before something was thrown at him. He didn’t stop to find out what it was.
Valtteri, who was in the shop of the time, only shook his head when asked.
~*~
“We’re doomed.” Romain said gloomily. “I’m going to need to buy earplugs.”
The majority of the Stirling Street residents (minus the significant two) were sat around a few tables pushed together, nursing various coffees and teas. Charles, Pierre and Esteban still looked jittery. George was still finding crumbs in his hair. Jev still tensed up when he heard their names mentioned. Kevin was just starting to pretend that he didn’t exist.
Lewis was still asleep in the corner. Or maybe he wasn’t, they weren’t sure.
“Wait, here they come.” Jenson shushed the group. They all turned to watch out the window as they came out of their shops, scowling as they saw each other.
“Your board is in front of my store.” Seb snapped, locking his shop. “Again.”
“Well, it’s not like I’m stealing your customers. How many people did you see today?” Kimi countered, crossing his arms.
“Don’t change the subject. Also, why do you have to play your music so loud? It’d be nice not to have it drill into my head.”
“Well, I’m sorry... “ They continued bickering down the street. The group turned back to look at each other, dismally.
“Doomed.” Romain repeated sadly. “Doomed.”
~*~
Jenson picked up his tub of muffins, steeling himself. “Half for Seb, half for Kimi. As an apology of sorts.”
“They need to learn for themselves.” Fernando agreed. “We cannot have anymore scared kids. They do not need to see that ever.”
Jenson sighed, picking up the tubs. “I hope Romain buys those earplugs.” He said, walking towards the door. “Really hope.”
He crossed the street, opening the door to Seb’s shop. It was before opening time, but Seb never locked his shop (which was probably a really bad idea considering his shop was filled with valuables).
“Hey Seb, just brought some more muffins, five chocolate chips and one of my new inventions, Blackberry Crumble muffins. Thought you might one to try it, and - er, what?” He stopped as he finally took in the scene in front of him. “What is happening?”
Seb looked up, blinking. “Huh?”
Jenson gaped. “But… you’re here! And… and him!” He stuttered, pointing at the other guy in the room. “It’s Kimi!”
Seb turned to Kimi sat next to him. “Huh, it is. Funny that.”
“But… you hate each other!” Jenson clutched his muffin box to his chest. “You hate each other!”
“Well, we did.” Seb said, tapping away at his laptop. “For ages.”
“Arguing is the way to a man’s heart.” Kimi muttered from behind his coffee. Seb nodded absentmindedly.
“Exactly.”
“So, we’ve been trying to make you two not hate each other when you don’t actually hate each other?” Jenson asked. “I think I need to sit down.”
“The floor is just there.” Seb said helpfully. Kimi snickered.
“How long has this been going on?” Jenson looked between them wildly. “How long?”
“Since those poor French boys walked in.” Seb replied. “I really am sorry for traumatising them.”
“I’m not.” Kimi shrugged.
“Oh my… oh my god.” Jenson put his tub on the counter, resting his forehead on the counter. “Does anyone else know?”
“Lewis.” Kimi yawned.
“Lewis?!” Jenson screeched. “He knew?!” He took a deep breath, looking at the two men in front of him. “Give me a minute.”
~*~
Jenson would later admit that running back across the street, screaming words with no coherence at Lewis, and then promptly fainting was not his finest moment.
However, he’d also say that his emotions were running high. It was justified.
~*~
“So, they don’t actually hate each other?” Lando asked. “Wow.”
“All this time?” Andre said. “Wow.”
“I think it is sweet.” Fernando said. “That Seb and Kimi - do not flinch -” as Jev, Charles, Pierre, Kevin and Esteban all involuntarily shuddered, “that even they can get over their differences.”
“I can’t believe they let me find out like that!” Jenson still looked haunted.
The door opened, and the usual bickering being heard again. “If you move that sign one more time …”
“Love at it’s finest.” Lewis said smugly. “I said to leave it to themselves.”
“I swear you were asleep a second ago!” Jenson yelped. “You were asleep!”

Ailurophile’s diary : What it feels when raising kittens
Tumblr media
I have two kittens which are around four months in house, and since their coming into the world it feels like everyday is a blessings. I know each of their appearances, their characters, and what differentiates them each other in detail. However, back before, there were four kittens in my house, named Hime, Kimi, Pablo, and Chiro. It was all started when I first came at home and found out that my Hwiroh had died after suffering with pain for more than one week. That was really a heartbreaking moment because all the places he was used to sleep reminded me of him, but, the only thing I found was only emptyness since he wasn’t there lying anymore. Soon after that, we (me + my siblings) had new kittens, and the best part was they seemed to be Hwiroh’s biological children, especially Chiro who had the same look with Hwiroh. No doubt we become fall in love with these creatures. Without their presence, I might have been drowned in sorrow longer than that.
To see those kittens ran over in house was really overwhelmed things. Pablo was the quietest but the cutest with his black and white colour. And do not be fooled with Hime’s appearance, she might be looking so weak and therefore was bullied, but there laid hidden strengths burried in her smallest body. Kimi was the biggest and the one who liked to bully Hime, she was the type of Calico cat with three colours on her body. And the last was Chiro who was the most similiar with Hwiroh. He had a love pattern on his body and liked to explore new places. Day by day, they became bigger, more active, and it meant that we had to let them out of the door. Then, it had been determined in one morning, so I and mom prepared their house as comfortable as possible. They would like their new house said my mom for several times to convince me. And in the afternoon, something terrible happened which broke me in tears. Since then, only two kittens left. This incident made me become more possesive towards them. I would never let those small creatures outside the house ever. The world outside the house is terrifying, there waits many scary things that would endanger their lives.
Despite many excitements, but comes along the responsibility to take care of them as the consequence of letting them inside. Every morning and afternoon, I and my sister clean up their toilet. But, the last incident has influenced these kittens behavior. Kimi is easy to be fear of the loneliness. Everytime she finds no one around, she would make a ‘sad mew’ which sounds like a cry in my ears. She may be traumatized due to the self-witnessesing the death of her siblings in the eyes. On one hand, Chiro is so much different. He is so active to go around alone, likeable, and easy to play with hoomans that might be probably because he had ran away when the incident and thus hadn’t witnessed what happened after that.
As they grow older, their moms was being lazy to nurse them which indicated that the kitten should be weaned from the mother and eating kitten food solely. In order to keep them healthy, we cooked them kind of porridge made from dry food which was added with warm water to make it softer, and sometimes we gave them wet food with egg. However, as the one who was heavily addicted to milks a lot, Kimi was kinda shock with such transition then refused to eat. She only wanted to drink her mom’s milk so bad. It was quite frustrating for me as seeing how her weight lost drastically due to her refusement. Thus, she was suffered with pain. In day one, she suddenly walked with a limp but still wanted to eat though she had lost her appetite. Day two, she only wanted to sleep over during the days and nights, and even refused to drink. Day three, I had prepared to take her to the veterinarian but fortunately she got better as she could eat well, though she was too weak to have other activities besides sleeping.
During her long illness, I and my siblings had given her favourite food and dripped water through the pipette to her mouth. I covered her with towel in order to keep hers warm. Everytime she looked wanted to take a pee, I took her to the box immediately since she limped heavily as she moved. I liked to pat her body while she was sleeping so she would feel comfortable. Those were all said from the articles I found on the internet which was telling how to nurse a sick cat. Because Kimi had been sick, Chiro lost his enthusiasm in playing and only slept over the time beside her. Luckily, soon after that, Kimi got better and could play along with Chiro again.
From this experience, it is true that after the storm there will be a rainbow. Kimi who was at first very closed and hard to be approached then changed to be the most adorable and attractive cat ever. She likes to play with me. Everytime I call her, she would answer by saying ‘mew’ nicely then walk towards me and shake her tail as the sign that she is happy. She likes to sit in my feet till fall asleep. Sometimes she would show her belly and I would automatically pet her gently. Having been experienced the illness made her got all attention, comfort, love, and kindness. May be she then realised that she just love being pampered. And as for me, after all the terrible mess happened, the most relieving thing is seeing that she is being happy, so a happy Kimi is a happy me! And a happy Chiro is a happy me! Nothing would change my mind.
So, how did it feel to raise kittens?
The experience of raising two kittens, many or less, has given me several pictures about how to raise my own child. All the emotions such happiness comes simply as seeing them happy, healthy, and enjoy their meals. It is said that in a article a healthy cat is an eater. Then we provide them fish oil so that they like eating. I may be kinda traumatized with the cat refusing her food, thus her immune was slowing down rapidly therefore she was easy to be suffered with pain. On one hand, there also comes worry as seeing them suffered with the pain and many other emotions coming one another as the time being. That was once ever happened in one day, it seemed to me that their fur was infected with fungus, then I was googling and found out that a mixture of turmeric and olive oil will cure the infection. And then, I made it.
And all the responsibility which suddenly comes and many things that are still needed to be learned more. Also, I get the feeling of possesion towards them. And, because of that, sometimes I might refuse other’s advice over them cause I may think that I know them better than anybody else. From nursing them, I get to know that every kittens as well as human being is not typically the same. We require to observe them at first, and then treat them differently based on their unique characters. If it sounds ridiculous for you, it’s okay, but I have been living with those kittens 24 hours on 7 days and self-witnessing how’s they have gotten a bigger size day by day. But their circle of life runs faster than us, like now they come at the phase at the peack of activeness in age 3 months or probably around 2 or 3 years in our age. At this phase, they like exploring anything, experiencing many new things, and playing over the house, making my mom dizzy to see what’s left after they make a mess of things. But that is a very normal things at their age, right?
So here’s a little note to you. You become responsible with what you have tamed. Though at the first, kittens would look the same in your eyes, but soon after you would find that yours always unique. Because, it is the time you had shared with them made them unique in all the world. Unlike us, cat is the animal that has honesty and pure heart. If you share love with them, they would pay exactly the same. And if you treat them badly, they would pay you the same way either.
NB.
First of all, this post actually has been postponed for months. And surely, many things have changed since then, but, still, I want to keep writing this so bad. Since I found writing is the least thing I could do to recall the sweet past memories with someone or something I love which wouldn’t be repeated.  As for me, one of the those things that wouldn’t be ever repeated again in the tomorrow or in the other days in the future is the time spent with Kimi. My lovely Imi who left us three days ago because of severe pain she had endured for three days. This is so sad that I know about this truth at the very late moment so there is nothing I can do to help her from afar. However, it seemed that, God loves her more than us do so He didn’t want her suffered that pain longer than this.
Imi, if I were able on your side during your time, I wished I could take care of you. Patted your body gently. Played along with you like the last time we did. But sadly, neither of us could do those sweet things again in the future. We are now separated by the time, right?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I remember again, the last day we met before I got caught by the flight, suddenly you came and then had a seat on my feet as if it was your last, so you didn’t want me to go. And even I don’t ever think that was really our last. Seeing you acted like that, made me harder to leave you in house. Since that day, I like to count the days left until I can go home again to meet my family, included my kittens who has grown bigger since then and waited me in house. But, now only Chiro waiting for me. May be that is why we should value every lives and times that has been granted for us.
…And this post is a tribute for my lovely Imi, who was so adorable and whom I owed the meaning of caring is everything. Enin will always miss you so so, Imi. Especially when you said ‘MAU! MAU!’ loudly which resembles in our language as to tell that you want something. But, you got to know this one word from nowhere, and you always said this word only in one condition, whenever you felt hungry. You were also so spoiled making me hard to leave you and always wanted to protect you. But I’m so glad knowing that you would never feel the fear of loneliness anymore. Because now you are placed to the where you used to belong and thus gathered with Hime, Pablo, and Hwiroh. Enin really hope that you would like your new home, Imi.

Tokyo Ghoul:re Chapter 162 Review
youtube
At last, we have the answer to Furuta’s plan. Well, that’s what I want to say, but Ishida decided to pull a bait and switch the focus. On one hand, it’s a shame that we have to wait for another time to understand Furuta and V’s motive. On the other hand, the chapter does deliver more theories and questions that may result to a new direction for the next part of the series. Most importantly, it also delivers an emotional roller coaster with blissful character developments and heartwarming reunions.
Let’s focus on the emotional trip first before raveling on the new twists and turns that was dropped by certain characters. This is one of the best emotional pieces that I have read from this series and the character doesn’t have to die to make it happen. Kaneki is not dead since his brain is still active, which is not really a vegetable state as well. It doesn’t remove the sorrow however. The scene has the atmosphere of mourn or funeral with sleeping Kaneki being watched by his loved ones as they all grief and stay around; waiting for a friend to wake up one day.
We’ll talk about more about his condition later, because the starting point of friends gathering begins with Kimi. As I said in my last chapter review, Kimi wasn’t celebrating because of Kaneki. True, there’s also more to it as well, but she personally wants to save him because she owes him her life. What a woman she truly has become. Seriously, I thought she was just a love interest, but she has grown significantly. From there on, you can argue on which character or moment is the best of the reunion all day, but all of them are special.
Touka was left alone as Hide goes out to check on the perimeter, which leaves a complete reunion of Kaneki’s Ghoul friends. Nishiki’s part is short and sweet with his way to show his grief. He does like to run his mouth, but because Kaneki is in a coma, he cannot; that expression speaks volume. It was reassuring to see Hinami again, along with Banjou and his friends, whom I don’t recall seeing them in a long time. I got to admit, it was pretty sad to see Hinami with one leg. I don’t know if she can regenerate her leg, but it’s still heartbreaking to see her in that condition. Regardless, she is happy to see her big brother alive and that’s good enough for me to warm up.
Shuu is always the best when dealing with strong friendship. The flowers with the definition of never forget is so like him, and it was touching to say the least. The man truly has class. It’s good to know that Miza is in good condition; joining along with Ayato and Yomo, who are just standing by the door. It’s still sad that Naki died; unable to rejoice with everyone as a family.
In fact, I really adore this scene to be more of like a family reunion; similar to like when a person dies, all old friends and family members reunited in one room. It somewhat has an undertone of a wake, but it also captures the deep connection that Kaneki was struggling to find. It makes the theme of his character wonderfully rewarding; so long Ishida doesn’t tarnish that but you know him. This is true happiness that he should not lose.
Although it is arguable on which scene has it best, my personal favorite reunion is with Saiko and she is a bona fide definition of a charming little angel. First of all, she is fine, though it is left on anyone’s guess on her status, whether she’s a Ghoul or a Human. The answer may wait a while, but this moment is what matters the most. I purposely emphasized the reunion to be filled with Ghoul because it plays a subtlety mention that Saiko is friend with Kaneki as a Human. What makes it brilliant is how Akira and Amon bumps to her, wondering if she’s going in or not. They didn’t think anything but wanting to see him because he is their friend. No status would separate that fact.
It’s actually impacting for Touka welcomed them with no grudge or anything; this series seriously came a long way. Saiko immediately approaches to Kaneki, which is sweet since she was behind Amon and Akira in the first place. It really hits the top emotional level when Saiko looks at Kaneki and lays her head on him; wanting to be by his side. “Maman” somehow got me whimpering... It’s really emotional with that one panel of everyone standing by his side. Ishida has been on point on the artwork display of deep emotions running high. It is sublime.
As for the other Qs Squad, I really like how Ishida is handling Mutsuki’s road to redemption so far. She understood her action deemed as unforgiveable; enough for her to lose any right to make amend with those who she has hurt. Thankfully, Ishida didn’t brush everything under the rug and let the consequences and regrets elaborated and understandable. Then, we have Urie, who has to be on top 5 best characters if there’s a new popularity poll.
Honestly, this is my personal favorite part of the chapter and it is simply incredible. If you somehow, someway for whatever reason don’t see Urie as a great character, this chapter can make you into a believer. He has grown to an amazing height of his character. I like how he calmly and gently tells Mutsuki to meet Kaneki to start strong on her redemption; otherwise, she won’t progress. He evolves so well that I can cry right about now. The best part is his character reflection since that moment when Kaneki harshly told him the moral of strength.
I always thought the advice he gave was not really wrong, but not really the best to follow. Thankfully, Urie finally blurts out that it did affect him but not made him. I seriously love this piece of writing of how he simply recaps his life after Shirazu’s death and while it helped him to get stronger, he thought it was wrong. It leaves to great written dialogues to convey deep meanings behind it.
We don’t need a long reel of flashbacks because we know what he has gone through and each of the moments matches perfectly. It describes his character from his painful start to his wonderful ongoing person that shaped him perfectly. The last development he had is reflected here in a powerful meaning. He owed everyone for saving him; he just hadn’t noticed it. That can fall to anyone in real life; we can be blinded to see what we have is helpful and beautiful. God bless him, he has seen it and he will cherish it to the end.
That takes care of the emotional side, it’s time for another round of theories and a new what the hell revelation. To begin with, Kaneki’s body is now a mystery. It is said that it’s no longer resemble to a human, which makes it harder to read the problem. I feel like that’s a sign of what’s happening to those who is subjected to Dragon; case in point, Rize. It’s still not determined if Rize from last chapter is the old but newly made or fragment of Kaneki’s thought, but if we go by Kimi’s theory, it might be the former.
She sheds the light that the nucleus is the source for Dragon to move, but since he’s removed, it died out. The problem is that at a different ward from the first, it is still standing. Her theory is that each spot has its own nucleus to function, rather than one main source that was Kaneki. This would make sense on why Rize was born or whatever in the last chapter. Furuta had a nucleus in him and purposely gets eaten, so he can awaken her. If so, that would mean other nucleus are being used, right? It would suggest that someone else is about to be newly born as well. Who? I got some ideas but maybe I will wait until next chapter.
The megaton bomb is dropped here and this makes the whole path very interesting yet confusing. It was good to see the CCG to discuss the thought of working together with Ghoul, though confliction still stands. It’s not going to be that simple, but leave it to Furuta, because he’s about to make Tokyo into Ghoul City.
Hirako recalls Arima’s warning that is still puzzling and one would think Dragon was it. It turns out it wasn’t that. While others are joking with his uneasiness, Hirako looks pretty worried on what he’s about to say. Arima’s message is that every single human would turn into a Ghoul. That is a hell of chilling words that is sadly happening now.
I assume that Arima learned this from being part of V Organization. If that’s the case, this could explain that Dragon was green lit by them rather Furuta went out of his way to do it behind their back. Hirako and presumably Arima didn’t know how but know that’s the plan. It is hard to understand their agenda at this point. Why would they create a city of only Ghoul? All this time, did they want a One-Eyed Ghoul for this plan rather than eliminate the obstacle? Again, what happened to the first Dragon incident exactly? This really confuses me.
Marude is seeing drastic change of Tokyo with human turning into a ghoul. It finally hits him; what if the Dragon monster is only a bluff and it has another body? If we go back to the theory, it could mean each of them has their own host. It’s confusing but I do believe we will get many answers before the part ends. We are definitely far from over. What’s not over is Kaneki as he surprisingly wakes up. This is great yet very puzzling. I want to rejoice, but something tells me things aren’t exactly normal. Why wake up now and what about his body? Ishida, what is your plan?
This may not be the chapter you were waiting for when it comes to Rize, but this sheds more theories to her awakening. That said it contains very emotional scenes of old and new friends reunion, wonderful result of a character development, and the ending that could be a miracle but perhaps not. I tried not to be optimistic for a happy ending, but dammit I need it. Something is about to go down…

Lewis Hamilton – The Man Who Reached The Summit Of Formula 1’s Mountain
Akin to that mountain, which soars high into the skies, Lewis Hamilton stands tall amid jaw-dropping reactions in the firmament of FORMULA 1.
Lewis Hamilton Proud Of Record Achievement
It’s a sport to which Hamilton has given a decade and a half of his life. It’s a sport which has become second nature to Lewis Hamilton – a man born to race, someone we today cannot imagine the highest level of Grand Prix racing without.
The Brit was proud of what he and his team have achieved, saying ‘I think ultimately I’m just very proud of the job that I felt I was able to do today and the things I was able to overcome, but also the job we have done collectively as a team and it’s just reminiscent of the beginning when I joined the team, the decision I took to join the team and what we have done since.
‘I knew that we would win championships. Did I think we would win as many as we have? No. Did I think we would win this many races? Of course not. But it is a phenomenal time for us and the great thing is that it’s not just me that is living with the history, it’s the whole team and I think everyone acknowledges and realises how much they are part of it, so I feel incredibly grateful to my teammates.
‘To Valtteri, for being the contender he is, the team-mate he is, for pushing the team forwards – we’re generally rowing in the same direction whilst we are competing, and it’s been a privilege to work with him. So what a time to be alive.’
Lewis Hamilton Has Excelled Since Day 1
To a sport that demands excellence- Lewis Hamilton had nothing else but excellence on offer, arriving at the 2007 World Championship curtain-raiser: the 2007 Australian Grand Prix (18 March) where he earned a P3.
In so doing, Lewis immediately proved his mettle for his McLaren team. But was that easy to do- with Kimi and Alonso being at their devastating best back then? It’s anybody’s guess.
Thirteen years hence, as Lewis Hamilton finds his name against arguably the most amazing record in Formula 1- nothing’s really changed.
Back then- he was hanging out on or around the podium, scoring nine back-to-back (podiums) in his maiden year in Formula 1 alone.
A few hours back, he stepped onto the podium for the 161st time in Formula 1, he’d made history; a mighty one at that.
Just how many wins can the new record holder tally? Well he wont say the sky is the limit, but he is prepared to keep working to raise the bar higher and higher for those set to follow him.
‘I don’t believe in the saying the sky’s the limit. It’s just a saying. It depends how much we want it, how much we want to continue to raise the bar and going by our history together, just the way we work, we don’t sit back on our results, we keep working, we keep elevating.
‘Every race feels like the first one. I don’t know how that’s possible after all these races but for me it does, just as challenging as the first, and I think there is a lot more for us to do. Especially as we’re in this crazy time of the pandemic.
‘We’re in a crazy time with having to also utilise our position as a business, as a leader in the business for inclusivity, for diversity, there’s a lot of work to do. So, that keeps me inspired.
‘My team-mates, who are continuously growing, my fans who are continuously learning through this process with us all, and our sport that is slowly changing, it’s a real special time.
‘I definitely sometimes wonder, you know, jeez I’m 35 years old. I still feel physically strong but you still wonder when is it going to tip over and lose performance but showing by today it’s not yet,’ added Hamilton.
Consistency Has Been The Key
The all-time win record is a piece of history every driver whether contesting in the sport or desperate to break through to the top flight in F1- would absolutely love to script.
As Lewis Carl Hamilton crossed the line and received the checkered flag at the very tricky and truly testing Portimao-bound Portuguese Grand Prix- he scored the 92nd win of his career, the most by any F1 driver – dead or alive.
In this clip, you can see Hamilton talking about this record-setting moment with none other than Martin Brundle.
youtube
But every sport needs a hero- someone who can prove himself to be Mr. Consistency, and blaze a trail for the others to follow.
Lewis Hamilton – 161 podiums, 92 race wins, 97 pole positions, 52 fastest laps, 6 world titles – is a humble and mild-mannered one.
2020 Portuguese Grand Prix, Sunday – Lewis Hamilton (image courtesy Mercedes-AMG Petronas)
He ain’t some flickering myth that’ll burn out or fade away (He’s here to stay).
Not when at 35, making the body endure the grind for fourteen long years, and about to claim a seventh world title. And maybe go even more!
And certainly not when you’re finding much younger guys- a little over half your age- in your mirrors only for you to ply phenomenal race craft to emerge unscathed in the end – (race after race, weekend after weekend).
But Hamilton, who’s proven himself to be statistically superior than even the great Michael Schumacher, must not dwell on the lot that passes easy judgement holding little to appreciate one’s journey.
Fact is- Lewis Hamilton won from pole again and not only that, ended up delivering the grand slam of the race, including the mark for fastest lap.
Dominant Display In Portugal
At the Portuguese Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton briefly lost the lead a few laps since the start. It didn’t matter, however.
He was soon dictating terms from the very front of the grid with usual Hamilton-esque guts.
‘When I come to these races I never think of the numbers. I just never let it enter into my thought process. Today was really about… we’re at this track, it’s very, very smooth, you see the struggle we’re all having with the tyre temperatures, so towards the end of the race I was thinking about what I will and won’t say in terms of what is appropriate to say and not to say but ultimately it’s no secret, I think today was about tyre temperature.
‘I felt through the race that I was learning, lap on lap, more about the circuit. I was trying lots of different lines and discovering new lines that worked well. The wind direction was very, very tricky, I think, today, lots of crosswinds, headwinds and tailwinds and there were some positions that you could utilise to your favour and others that kind-of get in the way.
‘I think the key is the times when you have a tailwind, it’s minimising the loss through those stages. Set-up was something that I really focussed on. It was less about qualifying set-up, and more for the race set-up and I think today that enabled me to go one better, I guess, than before.
‘I just felt like I was generally getting faster and faster throughout the race – but I had to keep up the pace for these tyres. That was really the key,’ added the race winner.
But implicit in the journey of the most successful driver in F1’s history (race wins wise👏) is respect. That which he gives to his competitors on the grid. That which he himself earns as a result of feverish consistency.
It’s easy to lose ones head at the highest annals of Grand Prix racing. But very difficult to keep winning despite having at one’s disposal – the fastest or most complete car on the grid.
Hamilton Almost Faultless Throughout F1 Career
Why Hamilton must be respected is because despite having the best of both worlds- the most powerful machine and ample manpower- he hasn’t put a foot wrong in Formula 1.
This isn’t to say he didn’t err – there was the controversial pit lane entry despite the window not being open, and the ignorance of yellow flags in another event (earlier this season)- but Hamilton’s driver errors have been few and far between.
He did, as a matter of fact, collide twice with Albon (Red Bull) in the space of one year- starting with Brazil 2019 and then, the 2020 Austrian GP- but Hamilton won’t spin, won’t slide off the track and won’t self capitulate.
We’ve seen a magnificent champion in Sebastian Vettel make more errors than probably any other man on the grid in the past half a decade period; an onerous length of time during which Hamilton’s performances grew to the size of a shape-shifting beast: hard to ignore, even harder to beat.
Still, what would you put it all down to- these eight race wins in 12 starts in 2020? Isn’t it a precise combination of smooth race craft and next-to-faultless car control?
Hamilton The Ultimate Competitor
On top of it, Lewis Hamilton seems an athlete that just won’t budge; the more difficult the circumstances- the more he challenges himself.
Earlier this year, at the landmark British Grand Prix, Hamilton won with three tires, having suffered a front-left failure thanks to horrible delamination in the final lap of the race.
The bad news was, Max was closing in- just six seconds behind. The good news was- Lewis wasn’t going to give up.
In 2019, a year where perhaps Mercedes’ domination of the grid was arguably the most ruthless – the team winning eight back-to-back races- Lewis enjoyed the upper hand over Bottas until Verstappen’s race win at Austria halted the driver’s marauding charge.
It wasn’t Valtteri but Lewis who won four back-to-back races before Max’s mad run at Spielberg changed the narrative somewhat, the Briton picking up big wins at Spain, Monaco, Canada and France.
Yet, ever wondered why we credit Lewis Hamilton. Is it just the magnanimous success and that instinct for domination?
Perhaps suffice to say, there’s a Lewis Hamilton the benevolent observer who resides in the heart of the man who wants to and does drive like a champion all year around.
The Hamilton v Vettel Rivalry
At the 2019 Singapore GP- an event we’d have loved to see this year too- the warmest congratulatory message to the race winner arrived from the man who finished fourth.
As Sebastian Vettel, occupied in arguably his most important post-race interview was about to conclude, a warm tap on the shoulder arrived from behind.
As Vettel turned immediately to see who that was, he was greeted by the most affectionate smile from none other than his closest rival on the grid, one to whom the German had played too often the vanquished (than he’d have liked) in the previous seasons- Lewis Hamilton!
What a beautiful tiny moment that was featuring two guys who were daggers drawn at each other at Azerbaijan 2017, you thought.
But that’s precisely where we owe much credit to the fighting duo.
The sport, with every passing decade, has birthed new heroes and presented personalities.
But it’s very hard to deny that had Hamilton and Vettel not pushed one another to the absolute limit- evident closely in races like Hungary 2017, British GP 2018, 2018 German GP, 2018 Belgian GP, among a few more- we wouldn’t have seen two stars burning brightly in the F1 galaxy.
Stars who remember to respect one another despite occasional on-field scuffles.
That the two twinkle lends substance to a sport that can’t function minus its shining lights, one of whom has become a mighty planet.
He was once a kid, not even a boy who took to Karting pushed by his doting dad.
Today that same kid from Stevenage (who sat in a kart at the best of his father) has grown into a global icon despite all odds.
Little wonder then it’s Lewis Hamilton who says – Still We Rise!!
Take a bow champion. Take a bow.

This is so stupid.
Kai knew this was stupid.
The Ninja had been called to help catch a mysterious figure who had been attacking young girls in a local park in Ninjago City. They had made a plan to lure them out. Nya had originally volunteered to act as bait but after they learned the attacker had a thing for targeting short brunettes. Jay had then stepped up, having already been dressed up like a girl before, yet he was too tall to fit the description. So, the task had been given to Kai, the shortest of the group (much to his annoyance), and he was not at all pleased.
Kai  had been dressed up in an outfit Nya helped him pick out to help make  him look younger and makeup which helped covered his scar while making him look 'cuter' as his sister put it. The worst part however was the fact that the others had made her brush his hair down so that his fringe covered his right eye. The icing on the cake being a large bow attached to the top of the back of his head to complete the look. He looked like a girl. He didn't feel pretty though.
That plan brought him to his current situation as he was standing out in the rain with his umbrella. Waiting. The short skirt blew in the breeze as it brushed past part of his knees not covered by his socks. He was walking around the area by himself as the others hung back to watch if anything happened.
It was so boring.
Kai sighed as he turned a corner to a more unused section of the park. The rain pitter-pattered against the leaves of trees before falling gracefully to the ground. The sound was constant and calm. Until it was interrupted by something a lot more interesting. He followed the noise to a stray box on the ground, damp from the downpour.
Inside  said box was a kitten no bigger than his hand. It was the most adorable  thing he'd ever seen. It made small sounds at his arrival as raindrops  hit its head. Kai smiled at the tiny creature. He took pity on it and  placed his umbrella down over the box to shield it.
Amefuri demo kasa wa sasanai no  'Even when it's raining, I don't use an umbrella'
(Hajimemashite to neko wa naku)  '(The cat meow "It's a pleasure to meet you")'
Okiniiri no hiiru o nurasu no  'My beloved high heels get soaked'
He  kneeled down in front of it as the raindrops began to soak into his  clothes. The heels he was wearing scraped across the floor, they were  going to be ruined after this. Kai reached out a hesitant hand towards  the kitten which it sniffed before nuzzling into the outstretched  appendage. He  laughed when it began to lick his fingers, "Hello there." He cooed,  almost sweetly, which made the kitten meow loudly in response.
"What's  your name?" He asked as he picked up the small creature carefully in  his palm and brought it in front of his face. It was a pure black with  soft brown eyes that stared at him in wonder. It reminded him of...
Cole.
Thinking  of the earth ninja made him smile more. He had also been displeased  with the decision to use Kai as bait but had been quite happy seeing him  in his current clothing, despite his earlier protests. The two had yet  to start dating as Kai was too nervous to make the first move, in case  he was wrong in reading the others feelings about him, so he waited. Sometimes he was tired of waiting.
Nanigenai you na nichijou ga ima hora  'See now, how the run-of-the-mill everyday life'
Kawaritai to aiiro ni somari dasu   'Is being dyed in blue as if wanting to change'
It was the same every day.  The same longing stares, the same nervous interactions, the same   lingering touches. But, somehow neither of them had made any move to   take it further. Kai blamed himself for that. He was hesitant.
He  was brought out of his thoughts by the kitten shifting in his hands and  move closer to his face. It leaned forward to the point it could lick  in nose. Kai giggled at that as he brushed his thumb over the kitten's  cheek, which it seemed to enjoy.
Mizutamari ni utsuru ichibyou kan  'That one second when it appears in the puddle'
Tada ichido kono me de mite mitai dake nano  'I just want to see it one time with my own eyes, that's all'
"You  know what? You remind me of someone." Kai explained to the kitten,  despite knowing it wouldn't understand him. "Yeah, he's strong and  considerate and always looking out for me. We're just friends at the moment, but you  know... Anything can happen." The kitten seemed to respond as it gave  another loud meow. "You'd like him and he'd like you, hopefully."
"And I'd like you."
Odoru yo sekai ga yuraide mawaru no!  'I am dancing, the whole wide world shaking up goes round and round!'
Todoku yo sokudo o agete  'We will reach it, so let's pick up the speed'
Kai  jumped at the new addition to the one-sided conversation between him  and the kitten. The voice was silky smooth and smug to the point it sent  shivers down his spine. He turned around to see a man slightly older  than him leant against a tree leering at him. For obvious reasons he  didn't like that look. Kai held the kitten closer as he stood up to fully face the stranger, "Hello."
"You lost, Hot Stuff? You're a little off the beaten path." The man questioned giving Kai a not very subtle look over. "And wet."
"Well... I.. Um..." Kai hesitated in responding as the other stepped forward into his personal space, "Could you back up a little bit?"
"I don't think I will." The man smirked as Kai tried to back away himself only to stop when his heels hit the box behind him, "The name's Jonah. What's yours?"
"Kai."  He glanced around hoping the others were going to make an entrance  soon. This guy had to be the attacker, he could feel it.
"As in 'water'?" Jonah asked jokily as he re-enter Kai's personal space.
"As in 'fire'," Kai explained as the kitten in his hands gave a loud meow.
Kakedashitai no ashita made hitottobi  'I just want to break out and run until tomorrow in one fell swoop'
Kinou no kare mo asayake mo inai kedo sore de sore de ii no  'Although the guy from yesterday isn't here in the early morning light, that's okay, that's all okay'
"What's that?" Jonah reached for Kai's hands  before the ninja took off running. He didn't trust that guy. Said guy  smirked at his actions as he muttered to himself, "Oh, she'll do  nicely." Kai didn't look behind him as he ran for the main path and out  of the dense tree canopy. Where were the others? Why weren't they here  yet? They said they'd be just out of view for when he needed them, well  he needed them right now.
He  heard Jonah's footsteps calmly walking behind him. God, why were his  legs so short? He hated tall people sometimes, and Jonah was a good  couple heads taller than him. He was almost as tall as...
Cole.
zutto tsuzuiteku kitto susunderu  'Always keep on going, it's definitely moving forward'
Motto aishiteru! Hibi o kimi o  'I love you more and more! With every day, with you'
Why  was everything reminding him of Cole today, he sounded like a love  struck teenage girl. Uh, now was not the time. Kai finally looked back  at Jonah to find him not even there. He slowed down almost to a complete  stop as he surveyed the area around him. His focus was broken by  another loud meow from the small creature nestled safely in his arms.
This  lapse in concentration meant he didn't notice the presence behind him  until it was pressed up against his back. Kai spun around to come face  to face with Jonah's chest which made him stumble back. The wet floor  allowed his heels to skid and his legs to fall out from under him. He  met the ground with a thud as Jonah loomed over him.
Isso nana koronde nankai okiagatte  'And just fall over and over, then get back up many times'
Sou yatte mata kyou o omoi aeteru  'By doing this we can again love one another today'
The kitten escaped his grip to stand on his lap. It hissed at Jonah as he crouched in front of Kai. He swatted the animal away making it skid across the floor until it hit the dirt the other side  of the path. Kai moved to go help it until Jonah wrapped a hand around  the back of his neck to hold him in place. He kept still as the other  moved closer so that he was once again pressed up against his back. He  felt his breath on his ear and heard him inhale deeply through his nose.  "You smell wonderful..." Jonah sighed as he tapped the bow on the back  of Kai's head. "All wrapped up like a present for me to open... And I think I will."
Before Kai could respond a foul smelling rag was placed over his mouth and nose. He held his breath for as long as he could until the need for air became too strong and he was forced to take a deep, gasping breath. Without him wanting to, his vision began to fade to total darkness.
*Time skip*
Jay had been sent to check up on Kai as the others hung around at their temporary  base at the park caretaker's shed. Nothing had happened yet so they  were preparing to give up for the day when he came back in a frantic  mess. All they understood from his rambling were the words 'Kai' and  'gone' before they were out of the door.
The group of ninja   didn't stop running until they reached the quiet path where Kai once   stood.  His umbrella rested on the ground above a box but the area held no other evidence of his existence there. Cole was the first of them to go for the object, as the others spread out around the area, before he heard a quiet noise beside him.  He glanced down to see a ball of fluff shaking on the wet floor. It let  out another pitiful noise as he crouched down beside it.
He registered it was a kitten by the meow it let out when he touched  it. Cole tentatively picked it up to bring it in front of his face. It  looked up at him with curious eyes and he smiled at it. He knew it was  stupid but he couldn't stop himself from asking, "Have you seen my friend, Kai?"
What he didn't expect to happen was for it to meow loudly as if responding to him. He knew it was crazy, "You have?" He almost cried  when it meowed again, "So do you know where he is?" It fell at that  question and Cole actually felt tears rolling down his face at that  point.
Hoho o tsutau kanojo no shizuku wa  'The water droplets that are trailing down along her cheeks'
(Mite minai furi neko wa naku)  '(The cat meows pretending not to see)'
Utsumuita sink taikutsu narabeta  'Looking down the sink the boredom starts piling up'
"Cole... Are you talking to a  cat?" Lloyd's concerned voice came from behind him as he clung to the  tiny animal in his hands. He could hear the entire group behind him  before he felt a hand rest on his shoulder. Cole looked over his   shoulder to see Zane crouching next to him as the others all held   expressions of confusion, "Are you alright?"
"No...  I'm not." Cole held out the feline in front of him, "He doesn't know  where Kai is." He explained as the others looked between themselves,  unsure what to do.
Yasashisa de tsumugareta uso demo  'That we're spun out of the yarn of kindness'
Kanashimi ni irodorareta jitsu demo  'And even the truth that has been taken by sadness'
"Why... Would a cat know where Kai is?" Jay asked chuckling nervously at the end.
"I  don't know." Cole shrugged before resting his hands on his lap in  defeat. He felt so useless. Useless to help the sweetest person in his  life. The person he loved. They just didn't know it yet. "He was taken  and we weren't here. We promised we'd be right here, protecting him!" He  yelled making the others wince, they knew what he said was true.
They stood there in an awkward silence as their friend broke down on the ground. Nya leant her head on Jay's shoulder seeking comfort, "What are going to do?"
Mizutamari ni sawagu amatsubu no  'The raindrops acting out in the puddle of water'
Fuchi o sotto yubisaki de nazoru you  'As if your finger tips are gently tracing the edge'
Cole  looked up at this point to seek answers from the group at Nya's  question. Lloyd decided to step up at this point with a determined look  etched on his face, "We're going to find him."
"But how?" Jay questioned as he patted Nya on the side of the head.
Egaite kanadete kirameku negai ga kanau yo!  'Draw it out, play it out. Sparkling wishes will be granted!'
Todoku yo koudo o agete  'We will reach it, so let's raise the altitude'
"It would be logical to assume whoever took Kai would have to live nearby. After all,  for Kai to be taken he would either have to overpowered drastically to  point he wouldn't put up a fight or somehow knocked out." Zane concluded  as he surveyed the area, "With  the surrounding area still being intact we can assume no major fight  went on and he was mostly likely surprised allowing the latter option to  occur. Either way carrying around an unconscious person would be  suspicious so their home would have to be close as not to draw too much  attention."
"That's right!" Lloyd smiled as he reached to help Cole off the floor while addressing the entire team. "So, all we have to do is ask around the neighbourhood for... What was their description again?"
"Authorities presume the attacker to be a male, large build and possibly in his late teens to early twenties." Zane listed off word for word.
"A person matching that description and we're bound to get leads." Lloyd explained hoisting the earth ninja to his feet.
*Time skip*
Kai had woken up in this dark room hours ago. He had been placed on a surprisingly soft bed in what  looked like a completely ordinary bedroom. Except the door was made of  what seemed like steel and his wrists had been chained to the bedposts. Jonah had yet to make an appearance, much to Kai's relief, as he lay on the bed.
Kakenuketai no uchuu made hitottobi  'I just want to break out and make it into space in one fell swoop'
Ukabeta hoshi mo tsuki ni mo aenai kedo sore de sore de ii no  'Even though I cannot go and meet the stars and moon up above, that's okay, that's all okay'
The only indicator to anything outside of the room was  a window on the far wall which shone with moonlight. He flinched when  he heard a click echo through the room as the door was opened from the  other side. Kai didn't look in his direction when Jonah entered the  room, still leering at him, "Evening Beautiful."
"F**k off." Kai snapped as he pulled on his restraints, "Where am I?"
"Somewhere  safe... Where we can be alone." Jonah waved off his questions  nonchalantly as he moved to sit beside Kai on the bed. He raised a hand  to the exposed skin of his thigh to caress it lightly with his thumb.  Kai's breath hitched as he moved the offending appendages  under his skirt to feel more skin, "Such a vulgar mouth you have  though... I wonder what other kinds of naughty noises it can make."
"You dare and I'll kill you." He growled as the other continue to slide his hand up further.
"As if you could in this situation." Jonah laughed as he grabbed his ass, "Just enjoy yourself, I certainly know I will."
"Y-You know I'm a g-guy, right?" Kai stuttered as his face heated up at the others unwanted touches.
"I know..." Jonah leaned in close to whisper in his ear, "And that just makes this better." Kai shivered as he blew against the shell of his ear. He felt them lick it before moving to do the same to his neck causing him to gasp, "Looks like someone's sensitive."
He  tried to think of anything other than being in that room, under the  control of this nutcase. He thought about the kitten he met earlier, his  friends and Cole. They all must be looking for him by now. The thought  warmed his heart. Cole was trying to find him.
Zutto tsuzuiteku kitto susunderu  'Always keep on going, it's definitely moving forward'
Motto aishiteru! Hibi to kimi to  'I love you more and more! With every day and you'
He  wished Cole was here instead of this guy. Holding him close and making  him feel safe. Unlike the sicko feeling him up at the moment making him  feel dirty and ashamed at his own reactions. Kai felt tears roll down  his face as Jonah continued to caress his thighs and lick the expanse of  his neck and shoulders, "P-Please stop."
Isso uzukumatte nankai nakijakutte  'And just crouch down, then cry your eyes out many times'
Sou yatte mata kyou to meguri aeteru  'By doing this we can again see one another today'
"I  don't think I will." Came Jonah's sadistic response as he moved to look  the brunette in the eyes, "Not when you're already crying so sweetly  for me, just begging for it."
"No..." Kai gasped as the hand on his thigh moved the grab onto his underwear but before they could do anything more he screamed at the top of his lungs.
*With the others*
Cole wandered the streets of the small neighbour with his family as they searched for their missing brother. He cradled the now sleeping kitten in his arms, not having the heart to leave it anywhere. He looked up at the sky to admire the moon and the star as they lit up the night sky.
Boku o terashite buruu muun  'Shining brightly upon me, blue moon'
From speaking to various people in the area they had narrowed down their search to a much smaller radius. However,  the late hour meant they had no else to question making the remaining  search harder. He just hoped Kai was okay, wherever he was. Cole had  spent some time during his search thinking about the object of his affections. His smile. His laugh. His passion. All of them warm, like him.
Nagai yume kara mou sameta  'I've already awoken from a long dream'
Asu no hougaku e tsuretette yo!  'Take me away along towards the path of tomorrow!'
Cole didn't have much more time to think about Kai as his thoughts were broken by a blood   curdling scream ripping through the air. That sounded like... "Kai!" He took off in the direction of the sound with the others close behind   him. He just hoped he wasn't too late.
Sokudo o agete  'So let's pick up the speed'
*Back to Kai*
Kai began kicking his   legs about the moment Jonah flinched at his scream. He managed to nail   him in the face before his ankle was grabbed. "Little B***h, can't stay still can you?" Jonah growled as he reached for something under the   bed. Kai turned pale when it turned out to be rope which was used to tie  his ankles together. Jonah laughed as he leaned over him again to get closer to him face, "There we go. Now just stay plenty quiet so I won't have to do the same to that pretty mouth of yours."
"Bite me." Kai could feel his fire bristle at his fingertips, he didn't want to use it this close to a flammable objects.
Kakedashitai no ashita made hitottobi  'I just want to break out and run until tomorrow in one fell swoop'
Kinou no kare mo yuuyake mo inai kedo sore de sore de iino  'Although the guy yesterday isn't here in the late evening glow, that's okay, that's all okay'
"Don't mind if I do." Jonah smirked as he moved to bring  his lips to Kai's neck. He was about to mark to clear, tender flesh  there when a loud crash came from downstairs. His head shot up towards  the door before he glanced between it and the body underneath him.  Sighing, he got up and left the room but not until after he gave the  other a sly warning, "Try to escape and the next part won't be  pleasurable."
Kai  wanted to throw up when the man went out of view, leaving him alone. He  pulled on the chains again, listening them creak under the strain but  not giving way. Instead he turned his attention to a faint conversation  going on far   outside the room. Whoever it was seemed to have pissed off Jonah as he   was far louder than those responding to him. Then it happened.
Zutto tsuzuiteku kitto susunderu  'Always keep on going, it's definitely moving forward'
Another voice yelled back at him in syllables he recognised. It was Cole and he sounded angry. A crash followed the shouting before it sounded as if someone was running up the stairs. They stopped close to the door but made no move to open it. Kai yanked on his restraints once more as he called, "I'm in here!"
The metal of the door proceeded to creak as his rescuer forced open the door. It gave way suddenly to reveal a heavily breathing ninja in black.
Motto aishiteru! Hibi mo kimi mo  'I love you more and more! With each day and you too'
"Kai!" Cole rushed over to the side of the bed, "Are you okay?"
"Yeah..."  Kai sighed as he looked away blushing, "Just get me out of here,  alright." He pulled on the chains around his wrist, "These kind of  hurt."
"Sure." Cole easily broke the metal around his wrists then picked him up bridle style without hesitation. Kai made no move to protest as he buried his head in the crook of the others neck. He was shocked when Cole placed his head on top of his in comfort, "Are you sure you're alright?"
"No..." Kai hiccupped he began crying onto his shoulder, "H-He did things..."
"What kind of 'things'?" Cole questioned, his tone turning darker to match the scowl on his face.
"Like licking me and touching my thighs..." He sniffled clinging to Cole's gi, "And he tried to..."
"To?" Cole coaxed as he felt a wet patch begin to form in the fabric of his uniform. That guy was going to be dead when he was finished with him. When Kai didn't respond he sighed and stroked the back on his head. "Come on now, it's okay. Just tell me what he did?"
Isso nana koronde nankai okiagatte  'And just fall over and over, then get back up many times'
"He tried to touch me 'there'." Kai explained as he tried to pull down the hem of his dress. It took Cole a few moments to understand where 'there' was. When he did however, he felt something in his own head snap. He was almost completely silent as he carried Kai carefully down the stairs and placed him the arms of a bewildered Zane.
He  then turned his attention to the guy cowering on the floor in front of  the group, "How dare you..." Cole grabbed Jonah by the front of his  shirt to drag him off the ground to rest eye level with him, "How  f**king dare you!"
"Cole, don't-" Lloyd rested a hand on his friend's shoulder.
"No!  This piece of trash deserves what's coming to him." Cole narrowed his  eyes as the man he was holding gripped his wrist in fear.
"He's  not worth it... Just look at him." Lloyd scowled as the man looked at  him desperately, "It's better if we leave the cops to deal with this,  and take Kai home." Cole glanced over to the small teen in the ice  ninja's arms as Nya and Jay began trying to comfort him. He felt his  grip loosen to the point the man fell to the floor.
Sou yatte mata kyou mo meguri aeteru  'By doing this we can again see one another today'
"You're  right... You're right." Cole chuckled dryly at his friends before  moving past him to the others. He watched Nya smooth out her brother's  fringe despite his weak protests. He got closer to stand beside her and  address Zane, "Can I have him back?"
"Of  course." Zane smiled sadly as he gently placed Kai into Cole's waiting  arms, "I took the liberty of removing the rope from around his ankles."
"Thank  you," With those words Cole made his exit out of the front door leaving  the others behind to take out the trash. He smiled as he felt Kai rest  his head on his shoulder and relished in way his eyes were half-lidded. "Is someone tired?"
"Mmmm."  Kai groggily nodded against his shoulder so that his hair tickled his  neck. He shifted so that he was better facing Cole so that they could  look each other in the eyes. Cole couldn't help himself as he kissed Kai  on the top of the head in an affectionate gesture, "Wha-"
"Kai listen,  I've liked you for a while now and today just put into perspective how  easily I could lose you." He explained as Kai made a small frown, "So  please, give me a chance to show how much you mean to me."
"Yes."  Kai smiled as Cole moved in closer to initiate a kiss. They were an  inch apart when a soft noise interrupted them from the confines of the  earth ninja's gi.  "Is that what I think it is?" Kai laughed when Cole blushed reaching   into his uniform to take out a small ball of fur. He giggled when it   uncurled itself to reveal the kitten he had found earlier, "Oh my gosh. You shouldn't have."
"It's nothing."
Omoi atte iku korekara zutto  'Continue to love one another from now on and always'

Heyy! Its summer holidays and I'm bored as fuck, so do you guys know any fics that would blow my mind? Like a long fic with an amazing well-made interesting plot? Thats not really specific im sorry, im willing to read anything as long as it has an impressive, mind blowing, not boring at all plot Thank you for this amazing blog 💖
Tumblr media
I’ll keep this as short as I can since it’s such a broad request and I have no idea what you guys have already read lol you can also look through our above 50k tag for long fics, and if we rec’ced them we probably gave some kind of opinion on them so you’ll know what we thought of them
Only When the Sun Sets by sacramento - Jeon Jeongguk was never meant to handle so much responsibility, but when he sees a vision foretelling the King’s death, he cannot just sit back and let it happen. The ‘right’ thing to do would be to stop it, but as Jeongguk soon discovers, doing the ‘right’ thing is never so simple, or easy. Stuck in between underhanded plots for the Iron Throne, Jeongguk must figure out who he is and what he stands for. He must choose a side, and he must choose well, for in the Game of Thrones, you win… or you die. There is no middle ground.
Six Impossible Things Before Breakfast by Kavbj - Taehyung has magic in his veins and Jungkook’s determined not to let it kill him.
Lucky strike by expplipo - “You’re bad luck, I’m good luck. Two sides of a coin. Head and tails. We match.”
Terrible Things Happen (Sometimes, They Save You) by mindheist - Min Yoongi wakes up from a nightmare on a sunless afternoon to a reality more twisted than his dizziest daydreams.
refrigerator humming, chewing gum and instant karma by locks - Taehyung sets the flowers down on the dining table, plucking the card off the little holder. “Dearest Taehyung, just wanted you to know that I’m thinking about you. I hope you’re thinking about me too. Love–” he pauses and squints before cocking an eyebrow and pursing his lips. “Hyung, why is the boss of your little boy band gang professing his love for me?” Yoongi drops the noodles on the floor with a loud curse as he burns his hand.Or, Taehyung’s been trying his hardest to avoid Yoongi’s criminal life for a long ass time, but a cute kid and his infuriating father keep pulling him deeper into the mix.
trust your heart if the seas catch fire by maxx - “Sometimes I wonder whether you’d be better off without me. Whether you really need me at all.” Taehyung has always doubted his necessity to the group, as well as to Jungkook. Usually a knock on the head would suffice to bring him back to his senses. But this time, it seems someone was listening to his request. Now, everything has changed. He’s in a world where Jungkook and the rest of the group are still famous, but he isn’t.
Veni, Vidi, Amavi by yourluckytae - (I came, I saw, I loved) Ever since that day, Taehyung has been looking for something, chasing a dream he seems to be missing. Something important that makes his heart whole. It’s a creeping sense of someone he can’t quite grasp, who’s always on the tip of his tongue, nails on a chalkboard screeching loudly in his ear to remember. But every time he tries, it hurts. But he chases the dreams, the feelings, whatever it is that he’s missing because he thinks it would hurt more to never find whatever’s gone. – Jeongguk stares at his palms absent-mindedly, body rocking with the movement of the train. His fingers trace over non existent words on his right palm. Something he hadn’t thought about in years. He has a feeling; something deep and nostalgic bubbling inside him tasting like chocolate muffins and caramel lattes and smelling of vanilla and strawberries. It stirs within him as his fingers trace each stroke over his palm. It stirs something melancholy, something sad. A feeling. (Kimi no Na Wa (Your Name) Au)
起死回生; To Live Again by mindheist - Fiction gives us a second chance that life denies us.
Abaddon’s Waltz by eclairdeluxe - Hell hath no fury like a lover scorned.
(thought you knew) you were in this song by expplipo - Taehyung nearly chokes, but only nearly. Instead he raises an eyebrow and puts on the most suave smile he can manage. Hopes he looks far more collected than his for-some-reason racing heartbeat would let on, more suit-and-wine than elementary-schooler-with-a-new-crush. “You like me?” Jeongguk blushes, and looks at his feet. He’s smiling. “Of course.” “Really?” Taehyung says. “Like? Or like like?” (So much for suit-and-wine.)
I’ve read all the ones I just listed and I know for sure those are good, but these next ones I haven’t read. most are on my list to read and seem pretty good from skimming the writing a bit and the plots all seem interesting, or they’re ones I know other people love, but I can’t be 100% sure since I haven’t read them
Swamp Magic by GinForInk - Two witches lure Jungkook into their cabin in the woods.
(I know admin guk read this and really loved it, and I read one other fic from this author and it was amazing)
Lupus Tales by kpopismydrug - This is one summer break that Taehyung will never forget. From dealing with a moody mare that likes to think she’s a stroppy teenager rather than a horse, to dealing with childhood memories that threaten to choke him, Taehyung will soon find out that when you take a trip down memory lane, some things are more than just memories.
(super long series that I know admin s loves)
An Interstellar Anomaly by PaprikaFetus - They are two heirs that belong to opposite sides of the universe.
Hustlers by tbz - Jungkook hadn’t meant to lose nine million. He certainly hadn’t meant to lose his kidney. And he hadn’t meant to meet Kim Taehyung.
summer; blue by Batman - More than you can manage, more than you can hide: a study in light.
Mutual Fiend by kkumkkatcher - “I didn’t recognize you with your clothes on.” An AU where Jungkook needs to kill Taehyung, but Taehyung also needs to kill Jungkook, and things get (more than) a bit complicated.
All the Years of Us by TrappingLightningBugs - From the moment a new family hobbled into town, having come a long way for sanctuary, Taehyung had eyes only for Jeon Jungkook.
Shifting On My Feet by MarionetteFtHJM - With the ever-growing crime rate in the city there’s no telling what the leading figures will do to remain leading. The safety of the people is at risk and the possible collateral damage looms over the authorities. There is only one safe option, sacrifice a few to save the lives of many. Tear them from the inside, cool the situation down- should be easy enough, right? Jeongguk was just trying to live out his days peacefully, but running from one’s past never really worked out for anybody- so why would he be an exception? He’s not. Demons tend to find who they’re looking for in the end.
Taste of Ink by sugamins - Jungkook is a drug runner for the largest gang in the whole of Busan: the Sam Yong Pa. One day he bumps into a runner for a rival gang in the next district that has trespassed into their territory: a Geum Sung Pa boy called Jimin. Jimin has a friend, a goon for the rival gang. Taehyung beats people up for a living, and boy, does he look good when he’s doing it.But their blossoming friendships reignite old gang flames and causes the most brutal gang war the country has ever seen.Dragons destroy and stars explode.
i know you wanna go to heaven (but you’re human tonight) by moonlightae - Taehyung just thought it would be a one night stand, but he gets more than he bargained for
Assassin’s Order by TaeSyubDKook - CEO Taehyung gets tangled up in some illegal business without even knowing and when Assasin Jeongguk gets assigned to extract information from him after being caught, he realizes in what mess he’s gotten himself into and agrees to cooperate with the assassins, after learning their true reasons, to bring down his uncle’s company. What Jeongguk and Taehyung didn’t expect was falling for each other in the progress.
Kiss With a Fist by byeolguk - “Need a little help, love?” Jungkook asks, teasing him. “Nah I had it all under control, sweetheart,” Taehyung answers with a smile, blood oozing from his split lip. Goddamn even smiling hurt now. Fuckity fuck fuck. Jungkook only rolls his eyes, his cocky smirk never slipping and Taehyung almost forgets how much pain he’s in. prompt-Can you please write the “ kick his ass for me” prompt with taekook!

Found Out
Kaneki knows that something has been wrong with Hide for a while now and when Hide gets a cold he gets some slightly rude advice and finally learns what Hide has been hiding from him.
Link on A03--http://archiveofourown.org/works/12125436
Kaneki hated it when Hide got sick, something that luckily rarely happened, because it always made him feel useless as the other was in obvious discomfort. “Did you take some medicine yet?” Kaneki also hated how Hide seemed to avoid all medicine as if it were the plague and sighed when the other tried to play it off.
It’s just a little head cold. It’ll probably be gone by tomorrow. His assurance was ruined by a sniffle but Kaneki relented, it wasn’t serious just some sniffling and occasional coughing. Nothing that some extra vitamins couldn’t fix, and it was cold season after so this was to be expected.
However, it was clear the next day that this was a little more serious than Hide had made it out to be. Kaneki had been making soup to bring to his mate when the omega shuffled in, eyes glazed slightly with a runny nose and cough that didn’t sound pleasant.
Immediately Kaneki turned off the stove to tend to the man and when he checked his forehead he frowned, “why don’t you go sit down. I’ll bring you something in a minute.” It took a second for Hide to understand the words spoken to him but he nodded and shuffled into the living room with a cough.
As soon as the soup was done Kaneki brought it over and watched to make sure the other was still able to feed himself easily, satisfied he went in search of the thermometer. He grabbed some medicine as well, Hide might hate it but it was better than it getting worse.
Rejoining the blond, he frowned at how much soup was left. “Did you not like it?” Hide blinked in clear surprise at how quickly the other came back but shook his head and after a few moments wrote down his thoughts.
It was good, just feel sick to my stomach. Some voice deep inside of Kaneki said that Hide had been feeling sick to his stomach a lot lately but he forced himself not to look deeper into it, he respected Hide’s privacy and wouldn’t back him into a corner.
Instead he nodded and sat down, holding out the thermometer. Hide obediently took the stick and placed it under his tongue, wasting no time in removing it when the object beeped. Kaneki took the object and his frowned deepened, “you definitely have a fever. Luckily it doesn’t seem to high but we should defi-“
He was cut off by a hand reached out to him, and after a moment of confusion Hide pointed at the medicine with a sniffle. This set off a red flag in Kaneki’s mind and as he handed him the medicine he couldn't help but ask, “Hide, have you been feeling alright?”
Hide looked at him with open confusion and took a pointed swig of the medicine before cringing and coughing at the taste. Kaneki sat with him and rubbed his back, after the coughing subsided Hide put the syrup down and glared it.
When he didn’t face him again Kaneki knew that he was avoiding the question, which only sent a chill down his spine. It had been years since Hide had last kept a serious secret from him and it starting to worry Kaneki.
“Hide I know that you’ve been feeling off for a while; you barely eat, you’ve become pale and I can see the bags under your eyes.” Kaneki wanted desperately for the omega to tell him what he was so worried about, if stress was indeed causing it.
Instead Hide watched the floor for a few moments before grabbing his notebook, I’ll explain later, I promise. Right now, I feel a nap calling. It hurt to watch as Hide withdrew from him but Kaneki had no idea how to coax the truth out of him without pressuring the other so, instead the alpha nodded.
“Yeah, sleep will help out a lot.” Hesitating for a moment Hide grabbed his hand and gave it a small squeeze, when the ghoul looked at him he gave a small smile before standing up. He only made it a few steps before a strong coughing fit consumed him and after a moment Kaneki was by his side with a supporting hand on his back.
Kaneki frowned when the coughing continued and it was clear the other was having a hard time catching his breath, finally the coughing stopped but Kaneki felt himself tense at the scent of blood. Sure enough there were droplets of blood on Hide’s hand and Kaneki felt his body go onto autopilot as he scooped up the other and deposited him into the bed.<
He hadn’t even noticed he had called Kimi until he heard her voice calling out to him, he forced himself to breath and looked at Hide who was desperately pointing to his most recent note. He read it and bit his lip before he started talking, “Kimi, it’s Kaneki. I-um, Hide got sick and he started coughing and there was blood.” He watched as Hide sagged in defeat but refused to feel guilty over calling the only doctor he trusted.
“Alright, we’re on our way. Don’t worry, I’m sure it’s nothing. Is he alright now?”
“Yeah.”
He heard movement on the other side of the phone and hushed voices, “ok, we’re leaving now. We’ll be there in a couple of minutes.” Kaneki hung up and was now left facing a clearly annoyed Hide, I told you I was fine!
Kaneki shook his head, “you coughed up blood, Hide. We agreed that she gets called when there’s blood involved.” Hide wrote something quickly with a frown, but after reading it flipped to a new page to start anew.
I accept my fate but I’m throwing you under the bus when Senpai complains though. Kaneki smiled despite his nerves at the comment and nodded before noticing the other had no water.
“I’ll go get you some water and put on some tea.” Hide wrote him a quick thanks and as the other walked away he fell back into the pillows with a hand on his stomach and a small cough. He removed his hand when he heard footsteps coming back, after Kaneki handed him the glass and sat with him for a moment heard someone knocking on the door.
Opening it he found Kimi with a scowling Nishio, “thank you for coming so quickly.” Kimi smiled, “not a problem. So, I brought some tea that is really good for sore throats and trust me, it works wonders.”
She handed him the box and waved away his thanks, after taking off her shoes she pointed in what she knew to be the direction of the room. “Is it alright if I go ahead and checked up on him.”
Kaneki nodded quickly, “yes and thank you.” He noted how quickly she seemed to want to see her patient and felt dread bubble up within him, she knew something that he didn’t. The shrill scream of the kettle drew him out of his thoughts and he immediately made a cup of tea, taking care to put in plenty of honey.
Now all was left was to wait, “Nishio, do you know what’s wrong with him?” Nishio knew the moment Kimi left the room that he would be questioned, “yeah, Kimi told me.” Kaneki gripped the edge of the counter at the answer and tried to breathe, if it was serious enough that Kimi broke confidentiality then-.
“How bad is it?” Kaneki’s voice was strained even to his own ears and Nishio leaned against the counter. “It’s the kind of thing that gets worse before it gets better and lasts a lifetime.” Kaneki’s mind went to every chronic illness he could think of and none of them had happy endings, “why won’t he-“
“Tell you about it? If I had to guess it probably has to do with how your reacting right now. You don’t even know what’s wrong and you’re already freaking out, he obviously doesn’t want you worrying so is now carrying that responsibility alone. Don’t give me that look this has nothing to do with trust, he’s freaking out about this whole thing worse than you are and needs some support.”
Kaneki nodded at the sharp words and took a breath, “you’re right. I don’t know what's wrong but I do know that Hide needs me right now and he needs me to be calm.” Kaneki released the counter and gave a small smile to his former senpai, “thank you.”
He received no answer and grabbed the tea before going to the room, as he came close to the door a clearly frustrated Kimi exited it. The moment she saw him her usual smile returned, “his throat was rubbed raw and bled a little, nothing that a little rest won’t fix.”
Kaneki nodded in thanks and took her place in the room, he faltered when he saw Hide lying on his side facing away from the door and cleared his throat. At seeing who it was Hide obviously brightened and Kaneki wondered what had happened before he entered, “I brought some tea.”
Hide smiled and held out his hands, making small grabbing motions, Kaneki obediently handed him the mug and sat down next to him. He tried to figure out the best way to say what he needed to but stopped before he over thinked it and looked straight into the others eyes.
“Hide, I just want you to know that I’m here for you, always. I know there are times when I become unreliable but I want to be someone you can depend on for everything, both big and small. I love you.” A flash of guilt went across Hide’s face and he broke eye contact, grabbing the notebook he stared at the blank page for a few seconds before finally writing down what was wrong.
I’m pregnant.

[DanceFact] Hayate Spotlight
Tumblr media
Dance and vocal group Da-iCE’s Hayate Wada. While being the youngest of the members, his dance history has already reached 20 years, and he has a strong career and skill level. What is the root of his dancing, which is said to be "a dance like a song"? We unveiled the real face of this up-and-coming dancer who is tearing up the charts.
- First of all, let's look back a little at your story, Hayate-kun. When did you first start dancing?
Perhaps I was about 3 or 4 years old. The chance arose because my neighborhood friends wanted to learn dance. Since our parents were friends, I was supposed to go as well. So, when I tried it, I thought it was a lot of fun. When I was in elementary school, I’d usually go to a dance lesson when school was over, every day. So I was dancing a lot, since I went daily except Sunday.  - What about it was so fun? I don’t know what exactly I enjoyed about it. (Laughs) I'm not good at things that tire me out, and never have been. It started with basketball when I was a little kid, and because I had to run around the gym for 30 laps, I quit quickly. There was a time when I could not dance for a month because I cracked my little toe when I was five. During my break, my face filled out with baby fat so quickly! Originally, I have the kind of personality that hates muscle training and doing things to build my body, but I have continued on with dancing all this time because somehow I don’t find it painful at all. And it was fun. - Did you transition into different kinds of dance?
First I worked on hip-hop and started learning break dancing when I was as young as four. From there, I entered junior high school and started jazz, house and pop. The best for me was break dancing. It’s so cool, isn’t it? It always gets audiences cheering like crazy. At the time I started learning, I worked on my handstands every day... I think I stopped growing taller because of that (laughs) - At the age of 12, you passed the avex audition 2006 and was a student at the academy. Who was your dancing hero at that age? Since I entered avex, I was taught by NAOTO-san of J Soul Brothers, so NAOTO-san was someone I looked at in the sense of a hero. I thought it would be so cool to be like him. Also, I remember seeing the image of Chris Brown on my iPod while riding the Ginza line and wanting to dance like that (laughs).

- At that time you were traveling from Gunma right? Since I came to Tokyo to live at the age of 20, I had been traveling from my hometown until that time. When I was performing a live with Da-iCE, I planned to take a train to Shibuya at the end of school. But, because of a rain delay on the train, as soon as we arrived at the station, I had to run with all my might to VUENOS [the venue]. I had a quick change of clothes, rushed to the side of the stage, and it felt like I was going to collapse. When I caught my breath and got into standing position, I thought I was going to throw up (laughs).
- It's a nostalgic period.  I had been focused only dancing all the time, and my parents told me on the day of my major debut, "We were worried that you would never know how to do anything else". To tell the truth, unless I was able to debut with avex before graduating from high school, my parents wanted me to give up dancing and go to college. I was told I was going to be in Da-iCE before the deadline came, so it gave me a strange feeling that the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. - For Hayate-kun, what is dance? It’s me, if you take dance from me, you won’t have anything left. As long as I can, I want to keep dancing forever - Nicely said. It was, if I can say so myself (laughs) - Could you give a me message to teenage dancers? I hope you never learn to hate dance or forget the feelings you enjoy about it, because if you strive only for perfection, it will be very boring. I am always having fun while I’m performing, and I think it would be the worst if that feeling was gone. So when you are dancing, please enjoy it better than anyone else.

- Da -iCE has a new song, "Kimi Iro" that will be released on the 30th of August. We’ve listened to it, and felt the melody was totally different from the summer songs of Da-iCE so far. Who was in charge of choreography?
S ** t kingz' s oguri-san and NOPPO-san. When you listen to the warm and longing feeling of this song, those are the names that come to mind, right? - Da - iCE works often with s ** t kingz on their songs, correct? When thinking of our singles, they were involved with every one but “Koigokoro”. S**t kingz are awesome when it comes to composition. They have ideas that can’t be thought of by ordinary people. As a dancer, I definitely want people to be aware of the brilliance of their composition. Their choreography is really special to us. When you look at it, you’ll definitely see Da-iCE’s color in it. - What do you think of as “Da-iCE’s choreography”? Well, I guess it's our way of expressing the lyrics in our dance, because rather than simply dancing, we want to express each line of the song perfectly. That’s Da-iCE’s style - How do you interpret lyrics? Rather than interpreting the lyrics, I focus more on the images that come to my mind when listening to the song. In terms of "Kimi Iro", I thought of the heart pangs of a painful love (Laughs).  - In that sense, your dance part is also influenced by the singing of Sota-kun and Yudai-kun?
Very much so. Those two also put their thoughts into the song, and we performers deliver those thoughts in our movements. It's not Da-iCE without the voices of Sota-kun and Yudai-kun. - Do you also communicate with Toru-kun and Taiki-kun while dancing? Although we share the standard arrangement of the song, we basically want to deliver our individual feelings as well, so while we watch and match each other closely, each of us absolutely shows a different style. Even if we’re expressing the same emotion, like pain, someone might dance while showing a tearful face, someone else might show an attempted smile through the pain, and I think there’s pleasure in comparing such differences and enjoying them.  - What is the most important thing in expression? It’s a huge part of meaning, but I in fact was someone who thought expression wasn’t very important up until we assembled Da-iCE. After starting my activities with the group, my way of thinking changed drastically. When we go live, it’s something that’s hugely visible to the audience, and I treat it very seriously. - What changed your mind? I’m not sure when exactly it happened, but one big thing may have been that the stages where we perform got bigger and bigger and there are plenty of visitors who are sitting on the second floor. I realized then that I had to show my emotions enough that even people in the distance could feel them. - You’ve been dancing in front of audiences since your indies era, and it seems you’ve become more mature! It's frustrating to think about me in the past (laughs). It was fun to dance, and I was only focused on having fun like a little idiot, not being concerned about the future or worrying about anything (laughs).

Are you the type of person who gets straight to the point? For the most part, yeah. I’m a little impatient and quickly get annoyed when people go around in circles. What was the last thing you said in complete caps? It was probably the conversation I had with Angela this morning since we talk in all caps 97% of the time. The subject of the conversation is a bit of an inside joke though so it’ll be complicated just to start explaining it. Do you enjoy playing board games? Not really. I’m bad at following instructions so I’m mostly uninterested when someone tries to explain a new board game to me. I stick with the ones I already know, which aren’t a lot. Are there any movies you are wanting to see? Yeah but not any upcoming ones (if there are even any). My film queue is full of stuff that’s been released in the past, and the ‘My List’ section on my Netflix for instance has movies like Rosemary’s Baby, The Pianist, The Truman Show, V for Vendetta, etc. Do you live closer to the Atlantic Ocean or the Pacific Ocean? Pacific. I’m nowhere near the Atlantic Ocean.
Who was the last contact you stored into your cell phone, if you have one? The makeup artist who did my hair and makeup for my test grad shoot last December. My mom loved how I look so she had me ask for their contact just in case she needs it for future events. Did you wear anything new today? Nope, because I’ve been home for the last three months. That sounds more and more ridiculous to say each day... Would you ever have a calendar in your car? No, that’s what my phone is for. I think having a calendar in my car would be highly distracting too? What was the last song you sang along to? I’m not sure, I don’t think I listened to music today or yesterday. My guess would be Saw You in a Dream - The Japanese House. Are you a fan of the band Taking Back Sunday? No, but I heard of them a lot when I was a younger teenager. Do you ever eavesdrop on people's conversations? I don’t usually get to because my hearing is bad lol, but if it’s juicy and if I caught the context I probably would. Aside from waking up, what was the first thing you did this morning? I hung out with Cooper. I’m officially in charge of playing with him whenever he’s awake haha. I’ve never cared for a puppy before so one thing I learned is it’s a lot like taking care of a newborn baby? Cooper’s routine so far has been sleep for 1-2 hours, play for 1, and repeat. Once we notice him getting up, I’m the fun mom that plays with him until he tires himself out. Are you good at playing Hide and Go Seek? I can be good at it but I generally don’t like playing it. I always feel anxious whenever the It gets warmer to wherever I’m hiding. Do you live in an apartment or a house? House. Is there a music artist that never seizes to amaze you? In recent years Paramore has been drastically changing their sound for every new album they put out, so I’m always excited when they have new material because they always hit it out of the park. At what time do you normally go to bed? It ranges between 12 and 2 AM. It’s no longer as late as before. What is the last magazine you read? I haven’t read a physical magazine in a year or two; but the last online version of a magazine that I checked out was Esquire. How many words do you type per minute? If I’m taking a speed typing test where I really have to type as fast as I possibly can, I can reach 80-90. I never have to type that fast though so my typing speed would definitely be considerably less. What is your favorite term of endearment? I like baby. Do you like Twizzlers? I got into them as a kid just because Kristen Stewart ate it in the Twilight movie LMAOOOOO. Fangirls are ridiculous. I’m honestly just fine with them, they’re not groundbreakingly good or anything. I don’t even think I’ve had them again since my Twilight phase. Who or what made you smile last? I took a peek at what my dad was making for dinner and I already know it’s gonna be so good. Have you ever seen the movie The Wicker Man? Nope. How many states are between the state you live in and Florida? *yawn* Another US-centric question; though I got a little curious and looked up the distance between Florida and Manila instead. Google says 14,717 km. Do you sneak in candy/soda when you go to the movies? You don’t have to sneak in any type of food when you go to the cinemas here since they allow you to bring in whatever you want. I once bought Cinnabon buns to watch Wonder Woman hahah. The only unofficial rule is just don’t bring something that’s gonna smell and distract everyone. What was the last song you had on repeat? Back To You - Louis Tomlinson because of a question I answered on a survey yesterday. Do you often have that song on repeat? In 2017 I sure did. I don’t encounter the song these days anymore unless I look it up myself on Spotify. What brand of lotion do you use? I don’t use lotion. Where are your favorite pair of jeans from? I’m not sure actually. It was my mom who saw it and she bought it when she thought of me, and I never thought to ask her where she got it from. Silly string or confetti? Like, for a party? Confetti looks nicer to me. What month is your best friend's birthday in? June and September. One a scale of 1 to 10, how tired are you right now? 12 from taking care of Cooper, 2 in general because I made coffee. How long is your favorite song? I don’t really pick favorite songs because I have at least one in my preferred genres at a time. Nachos or tacos? Nachos. Also because I miss Nacho. Whose wedding did you last attend? My uncle and his then-fiancée, now my aunt, but that was 2007. It’s my parents who get invited to a lot of weddings, but not me and my siblings. Are you a rebel? Not anymore. I definitely acted like one when I hit puberty though. Does it take you more or less than an hour to get ready for the day? Less. I usually savor my time in bed then hurry up once I’m about to be running late haha. I’m out the door by 15, 20 minutes.   What was the highlight of your day today? Taking a survey this morning on the couch with Cooper napping beside me while Kimi was near my feet :) Do you tap your foot when you listen to music? No, especially not when I’m driving lmao. Would you rather use tape or glue? Tape, it’s more secure. Homemade or store bought cards? Either works fine because my ultimate takeaway is that at least someone thought of me. I would personally make homemade cards/letters though. When did you last eat popcorn? Sometime around Christmas. My mom started making us bowls of popcorn but we got tired of it pretty quickly so our popcorn binge only lasted over the break. Have you ever done community service? I’ve done it with my classmates for a class requirement, not because we did something bad and it was our punishment. Will you get your hair cut anytime soon? Nope, I just gave it a big haircut earlier this year. Are you uncoordinated? Mostly not, but I still have moments where I trip over air. Michael or Janet Jackson? Michael. I know Janet is crazy talented too but I just never started trying to get into her music. Do you listen to any hip hop? Just some. What will you be doing at this time tomorrow? Most likely doing surveys too, as is routine. Have you ever listened to Jane's Addiction? I haven’t. Orange or purple? Purple. & - the typical ending to my surveys - how about some lyrics? “There’s just no future left for us to dream of, living in an era of instability / So caught up in the culture of their rivals, fear breeds in honest men.” From High Pressure Low - Against Me! Been thinking about these lyrics for the last few days.

Bookshelf Briefs 9/5/17
Super mega briefs!
Aho-Girl, Vol. 2 | By Hiroyuki | Kodansha Comics -This is a 4-koma gag comic, so does not really rely on character or plot development. You just need funny gags. In this case, the gags rely on the main cast being absolute idiots. And to the manga’s credit, they are. If the cast were even a tiny bit less dumb, the whole series would merely be tedious. But everyone, especially the title girl, quadruples down on the stupidest possible outcome to any situation, and it just works. We do see a new girl here, who seems to like cute girls but may simply be as eccentric as everyone else. As for Sayaka, even given the fact that every gag comic needs a straight man, you still feel bad she’s in this series. Maybe she can go hang out with Nanase from Book Girl. – Sean Gaffney
Anne Happy, Vol. 6 | By Cotoji | Yen Press – Once again, there are hints that while the rest of the class has some random bad luck, Hanako’s bad luck—as well as her terminal case of Pollyanna optimism—may have a more sinister origin. I also get the sense, given the various hints we’re given in this volume, that their teacher is a former student of the unlucky class. In any case, we get the usual vague mixture of amusing and heartwarming, as Hibari thinks too much, Botan tries a bit too hard, and Hibiki is an absolute mess. I admit that I’m grateful for the hints of an ongoing plot regarding Hanako, mostly as otherwise this series doesn’t quite get along entirely on pure charm. You want it to be going somewhere, and for now I will trust that it is. – Sean Gaffney
A Centaur’s Life, Vol. 12 | By Kei Murayama | Seven Seas – Once again, I get the feeling that A Centaur’s Life is just a thin excuse for the author to do whatever he feels like doing every chapter. We get more action-packed dramatic flashbacks with death and maiming, framed as the cast visiting a natural history museum to look at their ancestors. We get romantic comedy hijinks, with crushes on guys and the like. We get more chapters that examine how typical Japanese events would work in the Centaur’s Life world, such as idol groups and faked ghost stories (or is it fake?). The best chapter in the book involves the cast having a mostly serious discussion on the concept of heaven, and why if you try to dig too deep to analyze heaven it just gets disturbing. As variable as ever. – Sean Gaffney
Chihayafuru, Vol. 4 | By Yuki Suetsugu | Kodansha Comics (digital only) – I love how Suetsugu-sensei uses Chihaya’s continued passion for karuta to get Arata to admit that he still loves the game. When they were kids, he was the one who introduced her to the game, and now she’s the one who brings him back to it, first by sending him updates on Mizusawa High’s progress through the Tokyo qualifiers, which has him refreshing his inbox every ten seconds for the results, and then by moving on to nationals at a venue that brings up memories of his grandfather. We learn more about what happened with his grandpa’s health, and it’s awful and sad, but learning that others look forward to seeing his grandpa’s style through him begins to clear up his guilt somewhat. Perhaps he can honor his grandpa best by continuing to play? I love this series so much. – Michelle Smith
Drifters, Vol. 4 | By Kohta Hirano | Dark Horse Comics – It has been three-and-a-half years since the last volume of Drifters came out in North America. That said, with a series like this I’m not sure it matters much. Sure, I’d forgotten literally everything going on in the previous books, and we don’t even get a ‘what has gone before’ page at the front. But I mean, this is Kohta Hirano. Is there lots of fighting? Oh yes. Some bloody killings? Definitely. Insane grins? By the bucketful. The whole manga is just an excuse for all of those things, and therefore it seems churlish to criticize the fact that the plot doesn’t really go anywhere, or that female characters are either absent or objectified. Recommended if you loved Hellsing, otherwise easily skippable. – Sean Gaffney
Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma, Vol. 19 | By Yuto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki | Viz Media – This volume is interesting, but it does give off a bit of a sense of filler, as we slowly advance through Azami’s plan to remake the school in his twisted image. Much to my surprise, Ryo’s battle does not go the way I assumed it would, and this leads to a number of satisfying scenes. There’s also the confirmation, which I think most readers have guessed by now, that Alice was in fact trying to contact Erina all along, and her letters were blocked all these years. The most dangerous battle may be the new one Soma has with #1 seat Tsukasa. They turn out to work very well together, almost like a well-oiled machine… which leads to Tsukasa offering to let Soma join Central. Some, of course, refuses… but will he regret it? Always good. – Sean Gaffney
Giant Killing, Vol. 5 | By Masaya Tsunamoto and Tsujitomo | Kodansha Comics (digital only) – East Tokyo United has lost the first several games of the season, and fans and management are starting to voice their displeasure. Now ETU is facing Nagoya, a team with three talented Brazilian players. But Tatsumi has spotted Nagoya’s one weakness and worked out a plan to exploit it. Seeing the team working together and their defense holding strong is a lot of fun, but their faces when they finally manage to score are the best bit. Tsubaki has talent, but he’s been inconsistent so far. Now, he seems to be playing without hesitation, and when he scores first ETU’s first goal, his expression conveys both his relief and a sense of atonement for past mistakes. There just seems to be more on the line than is usual in sports manga, and I was thoroughly caught up in the action until it was abruptly over. Highly recommended! – Michelle Smith
Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You, Vol. 27 | By Karuho Shiina | VIZ Media – Inspired by Sawako’s ability to honestly discuss her thoughts and feelings, Kazehaya tries a similar approach with his gruff father concerning his university plans. The situation remains unresolved until Kazehaya’s mother tells him about a special drawer wherein he discovers that his father has saved everything Kazehaya ever gave him. “You do make your dad happy. You really do. He just doesn’t show it.” Sniff! I didn’t know I needed to see them achieve an understanding, but apparently I did. After Sawako makes her decision about where she’s going to school, the focus shifts back to Ayane and her heartache over Pin, who she is convinced will never look at her romantically. It’s great to see her feeling love, after she doubted that she could, whatever the outcome. This is still such a great series! – Michelle Smith
Kiss and White Lily for My Dearest Girl, Vol. 3 | By Canno | Yen Press – Shiramine and Kurosawa have entered their second year and evidently still aren’t a couple, despite the occasional smooch that transpires between them. Shiramine is still not particularly likable, but she’s a bit more tolerable this time around, and has managed to defeat Kurosawa by one point on an English exam. There’s some question about whether she herself is special, or whether Kurosawa would take anyone who could make her feel like a regular girl, but this question is answered when Kurosawa is roped into the gardening club due simply to sheer proximity and not for her talents. She ends up staying, and dragging Shiramine into it, but mostly the second half of the volume deals with the other two members of the club. Although it’s still not as good as some schoolgirl yuri I’ve read recently (Bloom Into You), I think this series might be improving. – Michelle Smith
Kuroko’s Basketball, Vols. 13-14 | By Tadatoshi Fujimaki | Viz Media – Seirin vs. To-Oh is the main thrust of this volume, and it’s just as exciting as you might imagine, even if it’s tough to find words to describe it. As with most sports manga, you tend to define it as “good sports happens in these pages,” so even in an omnibus I struggle to say much more than “wow, he really got stronger!” or “did you see that shot?”. There is a hot springs section at the start of the book, which gives the teams a chance to casually taunt each other before the game, and also some primo fanservice, exactly the sort that young boys will want to see. There’s also some flashbacks to Kuroko’s middle-school days, mostly to give more depth to Aomine. Basketball happens. But it’s really good basketball. -Sean Gaffney
Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, Vol. 25 | By Shinobu Ohtaka | Viz Media – Well, we do get some Morgiana, my wish from the previous brief, but not a lot. Instead, Harukyuu is the focus of this 25th volume, which is both good and bad. Bad in that he turns to darkness, letting his anger rule him, mind-controlling soldiers and deciding murder is the best solution. Good in that the way this is handled turns out to be some of the best writing in the series, and a highlight of the volume. And honestly, if you’re going to try to murder someone, it’s hard to go wrong with his mother Gyokuen, who is smug in the best possible way, and even gets a few Higurashi faces here. (That’s her on the cover.) As for Alibaba, well, he’s headed over there, and I expect he and Harukyuu are going to clash horribly next book. – Sean Gaffney
My Love Story!!, Vol. 13 | By Kazune Kawahara and Aruko | VIZ Media – There are many shoujo romances that end with a reunion after a long separation, but My Love Story!! tackles this a little differently, showing us how tough the time apart was for Yamato and how hard she and Takeo are working to be able to get into the same college. Their romance stuff was nice, but honestly, the hero of the volume is Sunakawa, who keeps Takeo on track with studying, personally taking charge of his tutoring, and making good on a promise to smack Takeo if he ever does something really stupid. I loved that the creators took the time here at the end to emphasize what a special friend he is. I’ll miss this series, but Kawahara-sensei did say “it might be nice to write more of this story someday” in her final author’s note, so make of that what you will! – Michelle Smith
Pandora in the Crimson Shell: Ghost Urn, Vol. 8 | By Shirow Masamune and Rikudou Koushi | Seven Seas – Not as many amusing cameos this time around, and wrapping up one plot and starting another means there’s a lot of awkward transition in the middle. Also, we get more than one “activation” sequence, because kids these days can’t get enough of faux vaginal fingering. Still, I would hope kids these days would not be allowed anywhere near Pandora. The main cast does get to show off, and Nene in particular shows that she’s really something special even among this cast that seems to have a lot of special people and/or machines. Oh yes, and we also get a glimpse of the big bads, who combine Nazi imagery AND Illuminati imagery. If you like saying “wtf?” a lot, Pandora is for you. – Sean Gaffney
Vampire Knight: Memories, Vol. 1 | By Matsuri Hino | Viz Media – I will grant you that Vampire Knight left some open endings, and it’s nice to see those gone into. Still, when you see an author’s next series after their huge hit cancelled after two volumes, and then they return with a spinoff of that old series, it’s hard not to cringe. The best part of this book, even if it’s really bittersweet, is between Aido and Wakaba. It’s clear they both have deep feelings for each other, but it’s also clear that Wakaba does not want to be a vampire, and therefore this romance just isn’t going to happen. It’s an interesting look at the issues semi-immortality brings. The chapters with Yuki interested me less, mostly as they deal with her post-vampiric personality. VK fans will like this, most others will find it superfluous. – Sean Gaffney

R18 drama cd short review
I actually wrote this with other aro and/or aces in mind, but then again I never met or talked to another non-sex repulsed aces and I don’t know if they do this type of p0rn. so this is just a short review from a new fan for new fans who just need a title to start. I tried not to be too spoilerific.
you can sampled everything from airavalky.
nobody asked but here’s part 2. part 1 is here.
Hatsukare ecchi [finished, maybe] story: 4/5 icha icha; 4/5 review: story is pretty cute. younger type guy. theme is sharing all the first times with this dude.
Hetare dakedo Suki na Kare [finished] story; 5/5 icha icha; 4/5 review; abt a passive/low self esteem office worker guy and his web designer girl who is quite the opposite of him, personality-wise. the whole story is sweet imo since the girl never forced the bf to 'man up' or some shit but rather let him has his time and pace and give encouragement whenever necessary. i'm all about this positive relationship. plus points for tetrapot<3
Honnou no kajitsu [finished, maybe] story: 4 / 5 icha icha: so much sex / 5 review: concept is someone ate a fruit and personality got a 180 degree change. story is interesting... if you can get over the sex in every tracklist. buckle up! vol.1 (sawa manaka) = storywise this is the best. guy started as a selfish asshole who treats his girl like a toy. he ate a mystery apple and changed for the better in the end. vol.2 = a friend with benefit between a office worker and her boss. not much story here i think but guy started as a bully then after mystery fruit he wanted to be the one bullied? vol.3 = this is a 3P. a drunk/drugged type. i dont do much 3P to compare but this one has anal if that's your concern. i'm not comfortable at how kinda forceful/not sober this one is. vol.4 (aoi yuuma) = can't really catch what is their relationship together but it started out nice and ero but after track 5, fucked up twist happen. you can already guess what it is at this point. dude also mentioned about the mystery fruits but i can't quite catch if it's his creation or not.
In the room [finished] story: 5/5 icha icha; 5/5 review: i never expected to cry to a porn but i did. i would never have expected such a sad story from a drama cd's cover art so generic. def give this a try if you want story. it started out strangely direct with the sexing but later you learned that the guy is desperate for a good reason. chasuke really did a convincing acting i cried for him. the story is about a girl asked to come to a mansion to meet a guy. she has no memory of him but somehow he knows everything there is about her.
Incubus lullaby [finished, maybe] story; 4/5 icha icha: 4/5 review: well i like it. kinda need a sequel though. basically abt a girl dumped by her bf so suddenly and a strange man approached her and they had a one night stand. the guy kept finding her later and revealed to be an incubus. dont quite catch the why he chose her though.
Inma [finished, maybe] story; 1/5 icha icha: only sex and more / 5 (bonus 3P) review: interesting concept of two polar opposites character voiced by one actor, but my brain got fucked halfway it kinda made me uncomfortable. if you just need the porn and not really the story, here is a good choice. trigger warning, some might passed over the rape borderline.
Kannou shousetsuka [finished, maybe] story; 3/5 icha icha; 4/5 review; there's two volumes that i can find and my current level of japanese can't really tell if they're continuation of one another or independent to its plot. both is abt the same guy, an erotic novelist, and a girl i assume his girlfriend and his work's fan who is also the muse. he'd ask her to play out a scene he wanted to get the surreal image for his writing or something. one volume is abt outdoor sex while the other is bondage. the bondage one ends pretty badly since he went overboard and scarred her. always have a safeword, kids.
Kangoku [finished] story: 3/5 icha icha: 3/5 review: when i see tetrapot i just instantly believed i would like it. but then this is not the type of story i am comfortable to enjoy. story is about a town/city conquered i think and girls got snatched up to be made sex slave at prison... i think. our guy is supposed to be the 'nice' ones bc he said unlike other guys he dont hit and injure his pets. good to hear that, dude, you want a cookie? anyway there's another plot going on that lead to our guy murdering his superior but by then i lost my interest completely.
Kare pillow story; too many volumes to rate but as general 4/5 icha icha: too many volumes to rate but as general 4/5 review: a pretty big series and there's lots of good voices and the story is pretty good too. first volume is car sex. i have no idea that's a thing. also this is where i got into Hirai. he very moany but voice is very sweet.
Kare to soine de shitai koto zenbu story: 3/5 icha icha: 4/5 review: just sex in bed but with various voices to meet your likings. kinda sweet.
Kimi no te de iyashite [finished] story: 4/5 icha icha: 3/5 review: aww it's about a guy, played by domon, taking care of his girlfriend who got hurt from a fall down the stairs at work i think. the sex right at the end which is rather unnecessary at that point imo.
Kioku no fiance [finished] story; 5/5 icha icha; 4/5 review; storywise is very good. the girl was to marry a first born of a family but he died before they do. so the most logical thing is to let her marry the younger brother instead??? the younger brother has personal problems in living in his brother's shadow. together though they got through everything and i dont ask much more than this for a happy ending.
Koakumakei danshi [finished] story; 3 / 5 icha icha: 4/5 review; the type of character i like sawa mannaka to play as. a kouhai from school with a liking to tease the girl. sawa fits best as playful toshishita in my book. basically abt a guy who found his crush back in school drinking alone, then later... well you know what comes next. what ~ always ~ comes next after a love confession lol.
Koibito vs nijigen story: 5/5 icha icha; 5/5 review; repeat after me, if you want lol in ur drama cd, pls find one with murano. this one i'm pretty sure has a second volume but the one i have with murano is basically abt a guy whose gf is a fujoshi and he tried his best trying to imitate her fav 2D bf to make her like him better. made me think that i really really want to buy all of murano's work.
Koibito miman [finished, maybe] story; 4/5 icha icha: 3/5 review: i think the theme is how a couple was born. yuuki (asagi yuu) - this was the first time i got to know asagi and he's very calming. it's about two ppl who never got their feelings honestly conveyed, their friends had to lie to them abt their group trip to a ryoukan, just so they have the privacy and time alone together. saeki - they're osanajimi but with a large age gap between them. dude was very worried when he noticed he no longer sees the girl as a little sister he needs to protect and more like a woman he wanted as a wife. tachibana (sawa manaka) - guy is a very cheerful and tease a lot but he actually has feelings for his senpai from part time work. he'd go through a fucking typhoon to make sure the girl will be okay since she lived alone and had stepped on broken glass when the electricity cuts off. he is best dude bc he gives girl her own time to think abt what to feel abt him.
Kyokugen joutai [finished] story: in spaaaaceee / 5 icha icha: zero gravity sex / 5 review; interesting concept but kinda fell flat halfway. i think we started in a colony or something in space but something blew up so the guy and the girl ran to an emergency pod and drifted in space. zero gravity sex later, some spaceship did came to pick them up but weirdly can only take one of them. guy wanted for the girl to go but she refused so they drifted again. i haven’t actually got to the last track (got disinterested at this point) so idk if they survive or not.
Kyuuketsuki night parade [finished, maybe] story: 5/5 icha icha; 5/5 review: ok. i like the concept of vampires now (fuck you senbura) and this is a very good series. pls do more. please make more vampire shitttttt. anyway, there’s a ball in a mansion and some ppl would find themselves in there unconsciously. it was actually how the vampires lured human into their realm to find a mate. vol.1 = a very cheery guy who's very happy to find out the girl is a vampire and offered to be her mate. i like this one best but it does gets to you when he talks about how he had friends and family and wanted to tell them abt everything even after the girl kept saying he can't ever get out of the vampire's world anymore. did he want to stay or not?? vol.2 = ...honestly this one is not that interesting I barely remembers anything. I’ll give it another chance later. vol.3 = this is the deepest voice i've listened to. guy is actually a vampire hunter who at first planned to murder every vampires in the mansion bc of his vengeance of his entire family's death.

Notably, Sarazanmai’s first ep isn’t here, but it’s a huge contender for making my spring watchlist.
Shield Hero 11
Okay, someone’s trying to remind me of Goblin Slayer, aren’t they…? *grumble grumble grumble*
I wonder if Naofumi has a Thunder move like those guys…?
Why isn’t Raphtalia, who was cursed by Rage Shield, affected, but Filo, who was eaten by the zombie dragon, is???
Price of Smiles 12 (FINAL)
Is Huey…not an a$$? Is he just really tsundere…?
Fingers don’t move that way, Layla…
Post-credits segment. Keep watching…
I feel like making Stella and Yuki meet off the back of Layla’s death was a bit much and pushing the button together was a bit…much-er, if that’s a concept. Anyways, see you next time!
Morose Mononokean II 12
The Cobweb = Above the Spider (by literally translating that ep title, that is).
I’m finally listening to Koura’s voice. Koura sounds like she’s always teasing Itsuki…
Jinja = Shinto shrine. That nuance is missing from the translation.
Why did that one track (when Itsuki was escaping) sound like Mission Impossible…?
What’s an analeptic? I can’t seem to pause the video…Update: Apparently my ad blocker was stuffing with the pause button. Also, an analeptic appars to be a restorative drug, or describing a drug as restorative.
Rippou sounds so enthusiastic (sarcastic) when Shizuku offers to make him tea.
Spec Ops Asuka 11
Wat. A girl in Thailand going “nya”? Update: Uhh…apparently the girl in Thailand…was Peipei??? Wuh???
Hmm…I never actually put 2 and 2 together regarding karate and the whip. It makes sense in retrospect, though.
“…sever the…” – Sever the…what, exactly?
I thought human!Giess didn’t exist anymore under that armour…so seeing him surprised me.
Sometimes I feel like I sympathise with Chisato more than Asuka or Kurumi…that’s how developed Chisato is.
Mob Psycho 100 II 12
Serizawa is playing Bomberman.
I like the symbolism of the umbrella as a “light”.
My Roommate is a Cat 12 (FINAL)
The ep title is “Kimi to Boku to” (You and I and…). Presumably it should end with “everyone else”…or something.
Wait, wasn’t Subaru’s umbrella handle round before??? It’s straight now!
What a waste of a perfectly good umbrella!
Somehow I knew Subaru would go to Nana once he needed cat knowledge.
*Subaru rescues Haru* - *cue Lion King song* Ahhhhhhh ze ban yaaaaaaaaaaa…or something like that.
Why is it that I want a dub for this so…darn…badly???!!! Wait…*record scratch* it already has one. Scratch that.
Shield Hero 12
“I can’t stop trembling,” Raphtalia says as she stands there, still as a statue…geesh.
I’d assume there’s a Meteor Shield in there for Naofumi as well…?
Come to think of it, we never learnt that weapon merchant guy’s name until now, huh? Elhart. I’ll try my best to remember it.
Spec-Ops Asuka 12 (FINAL)
Twin-headed Dragon Peipei, huh?
Morose Mononokean II 13 (FINAL)
*Fuzzy gets punched away* - Fuzzy, noooooooo!
In the same way Mob became a so-called “bishonen” for s2 ep 5 of his show, Hanae became kind of hot – but also kind of weird – for the finale.
Notably, the “Ashiya” Abeno is referring to is only Hanae…not Sakae at all. Hmm.
Mob Psycho 100 II 13 (FINAL)
“Bishonen” Mob returns!
I keep getting the feeling that Mob will sacrifice himself this episode. It’s a very Mob thing to do, but…I worry about him, because without him we have no show.
*explosion* - I wanna yell “KANEDAAAAAAAAAA!” Is that appropriate for this scene?
I LOLled at Dimple wearing Serizawa’s chunk of hair, haha.
Anyways, that was way too fun (and way too worrying at the end). See you next time!
Yu-No 1
Okay, first episode of this particularly meager season…coming right up!
I’ve never had to watch an ep on phone for subs before…I much prefer a bigger screen.
Okay…as soon as I heard Potato-kun say “Panties?” I knew I was in for a bad time. I’m watching based on the title and the series image, not the fact it’s based on an adult VN.
I can’t believe we have to be told about these ladies from the guys first…I feel sorry for Yuki.
I-Is Arima-mama the kind of person one would call a “MILF”…? I dunno since I don’t swing that way.
Seriously, how long ago did Potato-kun’s father die??? (I know his name is Arima Takuya, but…he’s “Potato-kun” to me, even as a joke.)
Potato-kun is so obviously following his…pen island, so to speak.
Ah, Potato-kun. The only time you make me laugh is when you humiliate yourself on public news. Thank goodness this show isn’t particularly lewd…yet.
It’s like Grand Blue…only with less drinking.
Seriously, why does Yuki call Potato-kun “boss”???
The one time I hear the name “Neumann”, it’s this time travel show, of all things…*remembers von Neumann architecture* Yup, that’s where I remember his name from. By the by, Googling “Neumann space” yields this site on travelling to the…stars? Wrong frontier, folks.
Okay, that was probably the least exciting way to pull off a big reveal like that. Drop.
Shield Hero 13
To be honest…I like Rise better…
“You’re are surrounded.” – I know you’re in a hurry to sub your content, CR subbers, but seriously?????
It’s always funny to see Motoyasu get a good socking from Filo, LOL.
Fruits Basket 1
I have zero experience with OG Fruits Basket outside 1 episode I didn’t really finish (but finishd the entire manga and may have caught a tiny bit of it - not enough to mark on anyone’s anime list as “complete” - while it was on TV), so…this’ll be interesting.
This is exactly as I remember it! Beautifulllllllllllll…so beautiful I wanna cry…(Keep in mind I binged most of the manga years ago, so it’s getting harder and harder to remember the exact story every day.)
Holeeeeeeeeeeee…sugar. I just realised how old Fruits Basket is! Also, rumour has it Motoko has differently coloured hair in the OG version, but I didn’t watch (or didn’t remember) that part, so…I don’t have a standard to hold her up to, really. Plussssss…I love how Motoko and her Prince Yuki fanclub are like Mean Girls. The reason I had to check up how old Fruits Basket is is because of that comparison. Mean Girls is from 2004, thereby being 5 or 6 years younger than Fruits Basket.
The angelic “ahhhhh” in the background really sold how good Tohru’s food was (for Hanajima).
This CGI fan is going to haunt me until the end of my days, isn’t it…?
Ouch…I think I just realised why Fruits Basket is so powerful (at the part where Tohru is working hard at her job). It resonates strongly with those who are lost in life. I found I couldn’t really relate when I first read it though, which may have been attributed to the fact I was…what, 13?...at the time.
Shigure, you a$$!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanna kick you for laughing at poor Tohru!!!!!!!!!!!
Photorealistic clouds…no. I think that Indian festival with the dye (I don’t remember which one it is off the top of my head) happened to my eyes…(i.e. my eyes…my poor eyes…)
I didn’t think Vickeblanka was capable of doing slower songs. This song’s kinda nice…but only because I heard the last few seconds of the ending (the rest was obscured by background noise and I don’t have time to play it again).
Between the comment about Shigure and the comment about the clouds, I was internally bawling about how stupid and spoilt I’d become. This is the power of Fruits Basket!
We Never Learn 1
Hmm…I thought the manga of this (or what I saw of it, at least) was kinda vanilla, so…this’ll be an experience, one way or another.
Yuiga’s face game is spot-on, LOL.
Aw, this show encourages the growth mindset…how cute. *does Kaguya-sama face*
The eyecatch is about what classes the main trio are in, but Furuhashi is taking it as related to boob size…*sigh*
The sign just says “library”. There’s no need to contextualise it more than that…
Yup, this is vanilla like ice cream…
Come to think of it, why did I pick this series up? I’ve read the manga parts that correspond to this episode…Well, I remember when this series was still new. I think it was that it was refreshing to see these guys so gung-ho about uni, because recently I’ve been in doubt about my own future (and to tell the truth, I’ve been thinking different things about what I want to do at different stages of my life anyway). I’ve literally only settled on the things I’m doing because I suck at everything else, but I can do whatever I put my mind to…for most things I try. Much like Fruits Basket is for those who are lost in life, We Never Learn is an affirmation that you can change your future…or something like that, anyway.
…The disembodied mouths creep me out…anyways, this show isn’t bad, it isn’t 100% a keeper either (unless I get co-opted into a collab for it). It’s just squarely in the middle.
Boob grope…eesh. That brought down the keeping factor down a little.
Kimetsu no Yaiba 1
[big chunk of information redacted because it’s me stressing over what has to be done before I go overseas...and also it reveals I had a collab for this lined up, which I’m trying to keep a surprise at the time this post went out]
To be honest, I don’t like 1st person cam.
Hmm…there’s more CGI than I’d like to admit is in here…
I remember reading a while ago that the “Tan” in Tanjiro is the word for “charcoal”.
Take = bamboo, and he’s a woodcutter kid. LOL.
This is exactly as I remember it! It’s kinda cool, since the smelling thing is obviously foreshadowing.
I remember I didn’t quite get the idea that Nezuko was growing in size in the manga…well, now I just did.
Oh-hoh-hoh-hohhhhhhh! Giyu Tomioka, me boy! There he is!
I didn’t know Giyu Tomioka was basically a ninja, LOL.
This is definitely one of the better series out there this season. It might not be the best due to its sheer amount of shonen trappings, but it’s still dang good! (I like Giyu Tomioka already, but now that I think of it, I’d like to see Lightning Boy in action within the show and not just the OP…hmm.)
[Sarazanmai 1 is not here because I saw it at the anime club first. I do intend to cover subsequent episodes here though…]
Kono Oto Tomare! 1
I find Funi’s video player unwieldy, to be honest. Maybe it’s because I’m too used to CR’s…
Oh! It seems like the Defence Club has a legacy now!
Surprisingly, this is very funny…!
Hmm…this seems like a show where you should ship people, but there doesn’t seem to be enough of a connection between anyone that I can see anyone shipping. I guess that’s why this thing is basically a shoujo in appearance, huh…?
By the way, who’s “Nadeshiko”? Takezo…?
Do you guys even know what a koto is? If you do, that’s great, but if you don’t, you’re going to have to infer…that’s a bit nasty for an ancient instrument the West doesn’t know about. Then again, this clearly isn’t something made for the West.
I’m wondering why the culprits confessed so easily…
Well, that was…alright. I went “aw” more than I expected and laughed more than expected. It’s not going to top the other shows I’ve got though.
Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin 1
For some reason, I’m just not used to calling this show “Midnight Occult Civil Servants”…that sounds clunky. That’s why I’m calling it “Mayonaka” for short…oh yeah, right now Funi is undergoing maintenance which is why I had to shuffle Mayonaka forward. I was meant to be doing Fairy Gone in this slot, to be honest with you.
Hmm…*thinks about time talking with Plyasm* *thinks about how Seo trid to kick this Reiji Kyoichi person* I see a resemblance here…with the kicking and all…Update: There is a guy called “Reiji” in this show, I just read “Kyoichi” wrong because I was trying to type up comments here.
Somehow it never actually occurred to me that Seo was a gender-neutral name. I’m normally quite good with these things…or maybe it was Ply keeping me up late that’s making me not notice…or even the fact I’m not listening to Seo’s voice, since that’s sometimes a hint to a person’s gender in particularly ambiguous cases (I’m currently not listening to the audio). Update: Okay, that’s definitely a man’s voice coming from the effeminate-looking Seo.
Oh yes…I forgot to mention, this show does an awful lot of telling and not showing.
I keep noting this episode is set on April Fool’s Day…what a day for pranking, huh?
I’ve seen a Cait Sith in anime before…so there’s a dog version too (Cu Sith), huh?
Tape? That’s so mundane…then again, I guess this is what happens when you have boring jobs in interesting places, huh? Reminds me a lot of my own stabs at this kind of story.
This is…angel-tengu Romeo and Juliet…
Now this is the real Reiji…I think?
Ohhhhhhh crab balls…these CGI angels look terrible.
I never thought cherry blossoms could look so terrible…urgh.
I’m of two minds when it comes to this show – on the one hand, I like its plot (it’s better than Charlotte in this field, at least). It’s a bit cliched, but it might lose against competition like Sarazanmai or even Kono Oto Tomare. On the other hand, its visuals are kinda…ugly.
Fairy Gone 1
Fa-Fanatica…? What sort of name is that??? (That’s not a good sign if I question the first name on the screen now, is it?)
Lay Dawn, would you please…lay down? (Okay, that joke only works with a particular pronunciation of “down”, but you get the bad pun…right? Right?)
So this is Spec-Ops Asuka without the huge boobs, I expect? That would make Fairy Gone at least 10 points (on my anime list) better than the thing I’m comparing it with.
I think the tiny symbols under most of the credits are stylised English, although I was looking at a credit for a guy with the surname Yamamoto and it wasn’t quite working.
The CGI is one of the better efforts I’ve seen, but still slightly obvious.
Veronica’s run reminds me of Akira from Devilman Crybaby. You know the one GIF of him running while leaning forward at an impossible angle? That one.
Post-credits scene…keep watching.
This is another anime Jesus…(the first one was Kagura’s dad in Ga Rei Zero.)
Rendai Utena 1
(Update: This was an anime I had to watch via VPN. Notably, the last time I resorted to one was B Project...however, no one remembers that but me, so the last big time I had to use a VPN was for Sakamoto Desu Ga?.)
Uh…yeah. This is the one Buddha anime this season. But before you run off, screaming about how blasphemous I must be to Buddhists, I’ll have you know I was originally not intending to watch this…if you know me well enough, you’ll know I like bishies. Only after I compiled my to-watch list for this season did one of the star bishies show up and convince me to watch…yeah, now you can run away screaming. (Oh and if you’re interested as to what image caught my attention enough to make me watch a show…it’s the top image on this CR page – not the thumbnail, the other top image.)
Okayyyyyyy…for a show about bishies, you sure aren’t capturing me right now with this plight of a salaryman.
Aw, dangit. I actually liked the few moments this was a zombie anime! Give me High School of the Dead, but with bishies instead of jiggly-boob girls! *shakes fist at cloud*
Oh, great…I can’t even tell who’s who around here. They even had little name cards and everything! So much for my great memory…*grumble grumble* But hey, at least I recognise some names…not from being Buddhist, but from other anime. I mean, Miroku is the guy from Inuyasha and Fudo Myouou is the guy who inspired Okurikara in Touken Ranbu, yeah?
Uh, hey. Isn’t sloth meant to be a vice? Isn’t “lounging around” a vice???
Another thing. I get the feeling that putting these guys in tracksuits is just trying to coast on the success of Touken Ranbu. Touken Ranbu is nice, but only because I was familiar with the source game and a bit about the fandom. This? I have no such basis.
Lotus Head – Bonten – his nagging is starting to get on my nerves already. I came for Taishakuten, not you!
Yeah…even in Touken Ranbu, they have washing machines. Convenience, but also…vice in terms of that old-timey Buddha stuff, I guess…? Update: Actually, I thought about it and I don’t think they’ve ever shown a washing machine in Hanamaru, but I think they might’ve had a fridge.
Wait, wait, wait…the bird was a bishie tooooooooo?????????????? I think that’s the biggest bending my brain’s going to get all premiere season (for this season)! Even more so than the entire debut of Sarazanmai!
Wait, wait, wait…Bonten likes porridge?! D’ya mean “congee” or “oatmeal” kinda porridge? I can’t tell because I’ve got the volume off, but if it’s the latter then Bonten wouldn’t have known about it. Update: It appears to be the latter. How Bonten would’ve ever known about porridge…I don’t know.
New aesthetic – Taishakuten’s hair. I like me a man with a ponytail (which is why I fell hook, line and sinker for him in the first place), but his hair done up like it is in the bath…*swoons, then goes back to normal* That is all.
What’s up with Paomi anyway…? And…this is kinda petty if the central conflict is just getting Shaka to get off cooking duties. That’s too low a conflict for even Hanamaru, methinks.
So…you introduce all these Buddha guys and then expect me to care about some human who doesn’t even have a name? Wuh…?
Okayyyyyyy…I’ve never seen an earthquake that was that fast before.
Wait, wait, huh???????? The guy who voices Taishakuten is…Choreo (Brave Beats)??????????? Oh no, I should’ve listened to it! Anyways, I’ve decided I’m dropping it, simply because if I want Taishakuten only for his looks, I can just find a wallpaper of him.
