Give me Caretaker bridal carrying a weak Whumpee who is desperately trying to stay conscious…Whumpees arms are around Caretakers neck and their head is bobbing up and down against Caretakers chest.
And then suddenly, all at once, Caretaker notices Whumpee somehow feels heavier. Caretaker looks down at Whumpee just as Whumpee’s arms fall limp and their head flops backwards. And Caretaker has to drop to the ground both out of shock and panic as well as to check that their precious cargo is still breathing and to recollect Whumpees deadweight limbs to their chest before they stand back up

Have you ever imagined that your partner gives you a pendant necklace, uses it to make you drop so deep over and over again until you are completely mesmerized, dumb and obedient, and forces you to wear it all the time as a symbol of their ownership?
Because I did

Give me a long, drawn out collapse. Like a collapse that takes a literal 3 minutes from the time Whumpee / Caretaker notices something is off, to the actual passing out.
Caretaker doesn’t know how rough Whumpee is feeling, and pulls them out of a chair so enthusiastically. Only to cause Whumpee’s whole world to spin. Caretaker is luckily still holding Whumpee by the arms, so when Whumpee starts to wilt forward Caretaker is able to tighten their hold under their elbows and keep them standing. Caretaker is understandably alarmed, and kind of too shocked to do anything other than look at Whumpee for a moment. And that’s all the time it takes for Whumpee’s color to completely and noticably drain from their face, their eyes to start rolling in their head - then eyelids fluttering as they struggle to get their vision back. Their knees are buckling and locking in a desperate attempt to keep their body upright. They’re trying to mutter something out to Caretaker but words are lost and tiny whimpers and sounds are all that come. Caretaker is now unfrozen, the initial reaction caused by the shock and panic of what they were seeing, and now are jumping into action. They step forward to wrap their arms fully around Whumpee and support all of their weight. Whumpee’s head flops into Caretakers chest and once they feel Caretakers body encompass their own, their mind seems to take it as permission to give up the battle and fade into the darkness. Caretaker’s plan to sit Whumpee back in the chair is forgotten as they feel Whumpee go completely limp in their arms.

whumpril 2024 || day 24 - eyes rolled back
They’d done it a dozen times. Marty ambushed the stagecoach from the bridge while Buford rode up from behind, a storm unable to be outrun. Not all drivers were compliant or frightened. Marty regrettably had to shoot a few feet to be taken seriously. Buford did worse.  And they walked away richer men. Until one day, a disgruntled passenger fired his shotgun through the roof. Marty fell into a cactus – and hit his head on a rock.  He struggled to stay conscious as Buford dismounted. “Eastwood!” Marty’s eyes rolled back. Closed. Buford sighed.  “Figures you’d fall in a fucking cactus.”

Desperate Times – Penny Blake/Jackie Sharp/Heather Dunbar
A/N: Alt 7 for @whumpril , first GIF made for me by @whoreofthecottage
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s rare. Heather reminds herself of that even as she moves to try and steady Jackie’s collapse, already calling for help. It’s Penny Blake who answers that call, crouching carefully beside Jackie and taking in the woman’s slim frame even as she focuses on the situation at hand. She’s definitely not well, that much had been clear for a while, but this collapse was more. “What exactly happened?” Penny speaks softly and Heather hesitates, then explains. The collapse is sudden but the way Jackie’s eyes had rolled back bothered her more than she cared to admit. Penny’s next movements are simple, stilling the woman’s shuddering with gentle touches, grounding her even as she wakes, her eyes fixed on Jackie’s face even as she finds her pulse against her wrist. Fast, too fast. “Steady… steady now. I’m here.” Penny’s murmur is soft even as she looks at Heather, her voice soft. “Clear the room.” The room clears, Penny moving to help Jackie to her feet slowly, beckoning Heather to help, the two guiding Jackie out and across to the bedroom of the White House, ignoring the reactions it may get later. Jackie’s rest is more important, her health mattering most. “Penny?” “I’m here Jackie.” “Heather?” “Right here.” Heather’s voice is soft. “Rest Jackie, we need to get you healthy again.” Later, much later, Penny will read through Jackie’s file, cursing softly before moving to pull Heather aside. “She’s been left untreated far too long. I’ll sort this out.” Food was still a problem, of course, Jackie slowly eating better, but her pain, both physical and mental, had been untreated. Now, with Penny’s help it would finally be addressed.
