Alois hiring a bodyguard and falling in love headcanons + oneshot

-initially Alois didn’t think a bodyguard was necessary, Claude was pretty decent at protecting him while Hannah and/or the triplets fought for him

-that was until there were enough men outside his manor to leave not a single spot of ground seen. there were enough random men inside his manor to leave no floor untouched.

-things escalated very quickly, all of them had guns or grenades of some sort, LUCKILY though the triplets took care of the grenades

-however, Alois literally begged Claude to hide him, or hide with him, somewhere under his mansion, insisting that he was too scared to be alone and didn’t want Claude to leave him

-Claude made sure to hide him deep deep in the mansion somewhere, assuring that things will end okay and that he’ll be back soon

-Like Claude assured Alois, everything turned out okay, all the men were either dead or they retreated to wherever they even came from

-Alois was very obviously upset at Claude for leaving him, although thankful that everything turned out fine, Alois begged to not be alone, and Claude still left.

-“Have you considered hiring someone else, perhaps a bodyguard who can and will be with you at all times?”

- Alois pretty much just 👁⚫️👁 at Claude

-“ You’re right, Claude!”

Alois waited by the manor door nervously, it had been a little over a week since he asked Claude to go over potential bodyguards locally or otherwise. Claude had informed Alois a few days prior to this moment, that he found someone who may be up to his standards or even Claude’s standards (they’re pretty high) and they’d be visiting within the week.

Alois is just waiting for that knock on the wooden doors. Words literally could not explain how excited he was, or how intrigued, almost as if last week’s incident never happened. Claude mentioned that this person was hardworking, a lil extroverted and probably almost perfect for what Alois was looking for. Alois whipped the door open as soon as he heard the first split second of a knock, only to see a milk man standing there with 2 crates of milk in his hands. With a ‘thank you’ to the man and ‘goodbye’, Alois shut the door slowly in disappointment, calling to Claude that the milk had just been delivered. As Claude turns to take the milk to the manor’s kitchen, Alois pipes up. “Claude, what if they don’t show up? Surely they’d be here by now right?” Alois frowns, irritated and disgusted at himself for getting his hopes up just to be crushed once again. “I’m sure they will be arriving soon, your highness. They didn’t give a specific time or day that they’d be here. Please, wait a while longer.” Claude says, continuing to the kitchen after falling silent.

Did the doorbell just ring? No, my mind is playing tricks on me. *Ding* “It rung!!! The doorbell just rung! Claude, come quickly!” For a second time, those doors flung open to reveal a person, kinda just standing there staring at him, entirely spaced out. Claude appears behind Alois, bowing and greeting them. “Your highness, this is the bodyguard.” Exiting the daze you were in, you, standing in front of them, bowed as well, “Sorry! My name is (y/n), I was told that,” They stop and look at Alois with an unsure gaze, “…..you? I’m assuming, needed a bodyguard, and well, thats my job :)!Apologies again, I meant to come earlier but got caught up with stuff, but I’m here now!”

Alois grabbed your hand, yoinkin them into the mansion with a huge grin on his face. After Alois settled down a bit he explained the entire situation he got himself into, how he threatened a group of men who he didn’t know were in a gang, and suddenly their entire clan showed up a week ago, and then how desperate he was to stay safe. You looked at him with a concerned look on your face, “that must have been very difficult for you to go through, I understand it somewhat. I’ll be here, you will have more people to protect you and keep you safe, okay?”A wave of comfort washed over Alois, he had felt like all of his problems had become trivial in that moment. “Thank you, (y/n).” Alois stood there with a wide smile across his face. Alois almost rarely says thank you, even Claude was a bit shocked.

Nearly 4 months of working for Alois had obviously been somewhat difficult. Alois is very bipolar and lets his emotions scatter out of control at any given moment. One minute he’s “You’re never there for me (even tho you quite literally are), I don’t know why you still want to work for me, I bet you’re only here to hurt me or take my money,” to “I’m so glad you’re here, (y/n)! Without you I’d be dead. Thank you for existing and being in my life, please never leave me!” Alois does love you, he is just so caught up in his past trauma (reasonably so) and the fact that there are multiple people after him, so he does not know a healthy way to show that he cares. One night it was particularly quiet in the manor, Alois had requested Claude to look for you and tell you to come to his room. When you knocked and entered, it would’ve been pitch black without the candle on the side table for his bed. “Alois?” There was a faint sob under his blanket, he just wanted to be heard. “Alois, I’m here, what’s the matter?” Alois lifted and unfolded the blanket from covering his head, tears and snot running down his face while his soaked pillow laid flat behind him. This is the worst you have seen him since you’ve worked here. “I am so scared, (y/n). There are always people just waiting to become my enemy and hurt me! I don’t know what to do. I feel so helpless. You’re here for me aren’t you?”

“Of course I am, you know I am. I willingly came here in order to protect you. I care about you a lot. Your feelings do matter to me.” Alois choked on a sob before reaching to hold your hand, wiping his tears away with the other and placing your hand on his chest, right above his heart. You locked eyes for almost an entire minute before Alois spoke up. “This is because of you. Please stay here forever, I don’t want you to ever leave.” When you took your hand away from Alois’ chest, his heart began to race, thinking he had said too much. “I’ve told you that I am willingly here and if I wanted to leave I would have already done so. I am here for you and nothing else, do not ever worry about me leaving, because I will not. I am promising this to you.” Alois turned away for a second, causing you to think you said too much. Alois looked back at you, tear trail stained cheeks, and replied, “You know, (y/n), you are living proof I am capable of loving, and also being loved.” You placed a gentle kiss on Alois’ forehead before telling him that it’s late and he has work to do early tomorrow, blowing out his candle and letting the moon be the only light in the room. You did as you promised and didn’t leave his side until he fell asleep, making sure to check up on his state every 15 minutes.

Alois genuinely loved you, more than Claude probably.

just crack+ fluff + platonic-ish relationship (gn!y/n) (w: language!) a/n: this has been bugging me for awhile now since i havent seen headcanons of this yet (if their are do send them on my ask box) and since im on a slump, i decided to write this down. this is completely fun, easy-going, and self-indulgent, really perfect for someone stuck on a slump ksks. idk if i should make some for the other schools but oh welp enjoy! happy 900 btw werkwerk uwu so weird to reach this when im not even very active.

Now let’s be honest here, it’s no surprise that the volleyball team of aoba johsai has their own sports journalist. Like, c’mon, they’re one of the best in the prefecture.

But let’s start with the basics here, shall we? Let’s start with you, how this all goes through, and how you got into this heaping pile of mess.

Yep, you.

There you were in high hopes to get into journalism for college so what better way was it than to apply for the school paper? It would definitely look good and pretty in those college applications *chef’s kiss* you’re a second year btw idk if that matters but yeah..

Much to your surprise no one was applying for the news section which was kind of sad since you wanted a buddy there.

but-but it turns out though everyone was applying for the sports section completely understandable, next to feature, it was the most exciting thing to write because there was going to be a special section and writer for the volleyball team.

You knew that volleyball was kind of a big thing around your school?? you just didn’t expect it to amass like that much people.

The editor in chief is obviously surprised, you were the first person on that day to come in there and actually apply for something else.

and guess where that led you to?

Yep, the sport’s section, specifically the volleyball team’s personal sports journalist. Your brain goes brrt brrt because you were not a sports writer at all and you were, ironically, scared of ball games.

VOLLEYBALL WAS COMPLETELY NEW TERRITORY FOR YOU.

Your editor in chief laughs it off and says, “you’ll do fine… its like news bUT SPORTS! IT’LL DEFINITELY LOOK GOOD IN YOUR APPLICATIONS!”

You’re not sure if you should be terrified or terrified?

It doesn’t help that on the first day when you enter the gym you look terribly constipated and panicking a lot because of all the stray balls being spiked and tossed around.

It also didn’t help that you crash course the terminologies and the member’s name a night before and you were just running on iced coffee that day.

Yeah, way to make a first impression, huh?

When you approach the coach, you’re not exactly sure what to say and you were this close to chickening out until you saw one of the players come up to you and ask if you were alright and if you wanted to talk to oikawa.

you’re loading for a second there.

and the poor guy who asks you if you were alright, starts looking actually worried because you weren’t responding at all.

“OH, oH IS THAT THE CAPTAIN?”

the guy literally looks very confused?? because what kind of rock were you living under that you didn’t know Oikawa???

so you go ahead and introduce yourself and say that your name was Y/N and you were the new sports journalist for the team.

“....soooo you write?”

“...”

at this point on, you’re also confused too

and idk man, first impressions do indeed last because you ended up (unknowingly) sharing the same brain cell with Matsukawa Issei.

you both were just confused there, straight up looking like two kids who got left behind by their mom in the grocery check-out line.

anyways...

He tells you the team’s pretty chill and you should stop looking like they spiked a ball on your puppy or something.

Basically introduces you to the whole team after,

no questions asked, just go with the flow.

You basically just click and vibe???

Not only because you crash coursed and related to whatever they said,

you literally all shared the same brain cell together.

Kentaro was another story though, kid basically hated your guts at first, it felt like if you were to say one sentence to him that day, he’d literally spike a ball at your direction.

“we’re basically the same year tho :(” -Y/N

“lmao well do i’ve got news for you, y/n-chan.” - Oikawa and basically everyone on the team.

you gradually start to understand the coolness of the sport since you had to incorporate visiting them once or twice a week during practice.

but suddenly it becomes almost a daily routine after a month because they’re just really friendly people??

like wow, they’re all friendly giants.

You’re literally just there to write about them but they’re really patient and kind, they even invite you to practice games so that you could practice out your skills in writing since you mentioned that you’ve never written for sports yet.

they even give you some added key terms that aren’t found in books and online.

you’re def closest to iwaizumi and matsukawa.

iwaizumi because he makes really funny fish jokes about oikawa (yes you arent supposed to be laughing but man theyre funny af, oikawa would usually call you and iwa corny because the jokes aren’t even that funny) and yes its canon that whenever iwaizumi sees an oikawa fish in textbooks, he starts laughing and joking about it.

no explanation needed why you ended up being close to matsukawa.

its obvious after that first meeting ya both would be besties.

same brain cell bros go brrt brrt.

like when you release a new write up about them, Oikawa would usually go, “It’s such an honor to be apart of your first steps, can you sign this?”

kentaro slowly warming up to you but still looks like he wants to spike a volleyball at your face 90% of the time but unlike before you’re used to his whole thing already.

“Move, extra.”

“You were great, by the way. That was a powerful spike!”

you may or may not be included in random ramen nights with the team

he doesn’t mind tho, he really loves how you write them.

so its sort of a thank you for giving the team justice when you write about them.

team says you’re technically part of the team so they make you your own jersey. Now when you watch your games people ask if you’re like the manager or smthng.

When they lost against shiratorizawa and karasuno, you were bawling too like you were apart of the team.

this pretty much cheered everyone up despite the loss because your crying face was apparently very funny and memable.

oh right, your article was passed on to the town’s newspaper

it was literally like 7 am on a saturday and your notifs went zoop.

they added you to their group chat and spammed you with pictures of the articles that you wrote.

tgcf again chapters 174-191. im now midway through book 4. pain and suffering. and yet also.... this is really good.... but also.... pain...

okay cave of ten thousand gods everythings coming out into the light.... xie lian pretending not to hear fengqing drop their act im emotional..... fengqing silently working together to separate xie lian and hua cheng im emotional..... every word that comes out of mu qing’s mouth im emotional....

honestly reading the xianle trio discussing hua cheng.. its very hard for me NOT to project all the times ive been in a friendship trio and someone got a boyfriend the other two didnt like (which was every time. theres never been a bf everyone liked. sometimes i was the one who had the bf. there were no winners then and tbh i predict there will be no real winners here as far as this friendship goes but such is life)

mu qing is so smart he’s clever he’s tricksy i love it i love him ugh

“A pair of arms had circled around him from behind, and hugged him with force all of a sudden. Xie Lian had buried his face in his back, and also didn’t speak. okay so are the murals and statues are only from the xianle era? im hoping hua cheng didnt secretly follow xie lian during his time as a mortal during the entire 800 years and then pretend to a total stranger that would be too much imo lets see. i still really do get why feng xin and mu qing are like “...dude wtf lets get out of here stay away from that guy” (also tbh probably if theyd all managed to stay close... this probably wouldnt be happening which isnt a judgement im just saying bc thats definitely how ive felt about friendships) although this whole thing IS indeed tinged with homophobia which i still dont think makes sense in this setting but whatever i guess.

If you didn’t think it was like bran water, why don’t you…go ask the queen to grant you another bowl! UGH!…” The two were heaving back and forth, and Xie Lian grabbed hold of the both of them, patting their backs.” - xianle trio.... including simply because it made me do the pleading emoji in real life..... also the way the queen wanted to feed all of them... weeping

i didnt realize that mu qing would still be around during this time.... god the fact that i know theyre all going to split......

“It’s precisely because it’s a time like this that money has to be brought up!” Mu Qing countered. “A time like this? What time is it? Time when we’re starving! It doesn’t matter if you don’t want to admit it, but nothing can be done without money! Can you both not just suck it up a little bit?” - mu qing i love you. god.... for real the fact that he comes from a completely different background than the other two is so important to his character and i think it shows so much in the way he continues to be in the present. he gives me the vibe of someone who is smart and hardworking but is bitter about it and tbh!!!! i get why he is!!! he’s very aware of these kinds of concerns bc he’s had to be, while the other two kind of think theyre above it and its a big difference between them. he’s still separated by the circumstances of his birth despite how much harder he’s worked to get to where he is.... ugh painful and delicious

i really am enjoying the xianle story tbh. xie lian going from his highness, favored by heaven, well-intentioned but lacking in experience and understanding to living in poverty and fighting with mortals who disrespect him. fucking delicious i mean this sincerely and respectfully im sad but i really like his character arc. and then to how he is in the present....

“Mu Qing looked at him, speaking not a word. Then he bowed deeply and really turned around to walk away.” - OH NO ITS HAPPENING AHHHHH ;_; honestly all of this hurts but it feels real like i think mu qing has every right to want to leave honestly and he DOES have other family and other ambitions outside of the trio... and i get why feng xin is mad about him wanting to leave when theyre suffering!! and i get why xie lian lets him go.... friendships are hard man and the pain of them splitting is rough!!!!

“Mu Qing’s departure had really shocked him to the core. First, he had never thought that someone so close would just up and leave. Second, Xie Lian had always believed in “forever”. For example, friends would always be friends forever; no betrayal, no deception, no breaking up. Perhaps there’d be times when they’d part, but it for sure wouldn’t be over reasons like “life is too horrible” - pain. just pain. same as above i get it but it hurts

“Xie Lian didn’t know too well just how much money would be considered normal when buying over ten lanterns, and he never looked at the price tag when he purchased things in the past.” - i feel bad kicking him while he’s down and he’s still trying to be kind even when it costs him but this is the first thing that came into my mind

but also oh?? spirits of soldiers from the battlefield you say?? hmmm i wonder... who.... could possibly be among them....

“If you remain forcibly, you won’t be able to rest in peace,” Xie Lian said. The nameless ghost didn’t seem to care. “I pray to never rest in peace.” - i cant lie this legit gave me goosebumps lol

“Xie Lian himself was alright in suffering through it, since there were far too many other things to worry about. But his mother, who had lived a comfortable, luxurious life, when had she ever done such crude labour? But if the queen didn’t do this work herself, who else could take over?” - hmmmm!!! housekeeping!!!! it matters!!!! rich people dont appreciate how much until they have to do it themselves!!! but this still makes me sad

oh god THATS when they pawned hongjing?? with the king sick and mu qing leaving?? :(((( even more emotional about its appearances in the present day

“That passerby chuckled. “You don’t know? This is too exciting! The servant is beating the master!” - oh god the dramatic and ironic timing of it all

HE’S MY FRIEND, HE WOULD NEVER HELP YOU!!!” [cut to] “Those were the only words echoing in Xie Lian’s mind, but he couldn’t utter a single sound, and could only crazily grab at anything at his disposal to throw. He didn’t care who he was hurling at, either. Finally, Mu Qing couldn’t take this anymore, and he steeled his face as he swept his sleeves and left. Xie Lian panted harshly for a bit and fell back down, spacing out again.”- IM SAD!!!!!! tbh i wonder if on some level xie lian kind of felt like mu qing owed him? i know he said to forget about that stuff to both of them but its one thinig to say it and think you mean it and another to have to deal with it

“After having exchanged so many words, Feng Xin finally got the gist of what had transpired. He widened his eyes and pointed at Mu Qing, unable to speak. A moment later, he bent down and grabbed a sack and flung it over, roaring. “SCRAM! SCRAM SCRAM SCRAM!” Mu Qing was hit in the face by the sacks of rice he brought and backed two steps away. All three of them in the house were panting harshly.” - this is it this is the part where i closed my laptop and said “noOOooOOOoooo” out loud to my room im so upset... and mu qing still tried to leave the rice even after the broom thing im ;_;

“Feng Xin was completely convinced that he would never do such a thing, but that was precisely why this had become the worst-case scenario!” - pain, suffering, dismay, etc

“Feng Xin continued, “If Your Highness thinks your life might be in danger, I can finish this for you, I won’t tell Her Majesty, haha.” - bless your heart for trying feng xin

“But it shouldn’t be like this. The Feng Xin of the past would have absolute faith in him no matter what! Even if there was only twenty percent doubt, it was still unbearable!” - AHHHHHHH okay idk if i really have much to say about their relationship other than im sad but IM SAD!!!!

the differences between feng xin and mu qing’s relationship with xie lian are so interesting. feng xin has clearly always idolized xie lian a lot while mu qing hasnt at least not in the same way and he seems like he has some resentment towards xie lian (thats how i read it anyway thats what i said about it at the beginning of book 2 and i think its understandable and can be a very real part of friendships) that feng xin doesnt and i just think thats neat!!

“He was firmly tied down upon the altar, that broken base of the statue under his body. There were many people squeezed below the altar, and pair after pair of round, unblinking eyes were watching him.” - hmmm dont think i like where this is going

“Yet, before he could finish, he realized that the white silk that he used to cover his face had been undone. In this moment, the thing that had him completely tied down was that exact white silk.” oh my god wait is this ruoye?? is ruoye that same ribbon???? ill cry

sorry for the late response! the last couple days have been v busy and ive been super tired and dissociative on top of it so i made a point to save this bc i wanted to give it my full attention!

first of all thank you!! i was going to do a virtual meet and greet with one of my favs from jersey boys but he got confused about timezones so we rescheduled but were doing it next week! then i went to a virtual walt disney family museum panel, had pizza for dinner and watched some liv and maddie, my mom made a cookie cake that we ate while watching the grinch musical, and then some friends and i watched the jersey boys movie together over skype!

im so glad you enjoyed reading my last answer! and oof thats another loaded question (i love it tho)

- like i said when first talking about what drew me to her and liv and maddie, a big thing is just how much passion and love she puts into her characters. ofc she puts passion into every character she plays, but its the passion she puts into characters like liv, maddie, and mal that means the most to me. that goes back to the fact that ive dealt with a lot of negativity directed towards me for enjoying disney channel, and then you have dove out here saying “yah im a teenager/twenty-something who not only respects what theyre doing on disney channel, but puts my all into it” not to mention she even won an emmy for playing liv and maddie in season 4! i hope that passion and talent has started to change the conversation about disney channel, and tbh i think it has at least a bit. ofc, none of this is to say other people her age acting on disney channel arent talented and passionate, but idk, something about her has always stood out to me. i find her to be more animated and expressive than most. it can be hard for me to read emotions in live action movies and shows, so thats been really important for me. not to mention she was not only playing the lead but TWO lead characters on a four season show with distinct personalities but also subtle similarities. AND the main character in the biggest DCOM franchise in years for 5 years running now. PLUS the fact that there was a period where those were both happening at the same time. she was only 16 when she started all this and hadnt even had any big roles prior to it!! she had a lot of responsibility so it was amazing to see her not only pull it off, but excel at it.

- i just love like....her aesthetic?? shes always seemed to be a very old soul to me, into old jazz music and poetry and stuff like that. its just very charming. and for her to have that aesthetic on top of being a disney channel actress is a fascinating juxtaposition.

- this is kind of sappy and it gets tiring to hear it said over and over again but that doesnt mean it isnt true: i love how transparent she is about her struggles with mental health issues, trauma, and such. she has been for a long time but even more so over the last year or two. no shade to anyone else, but a lot of actors dont really give you a look into their personal lives, they just share and promote their product. im not saying theres anything wrong with that, its good to know what youre comfortable sharing, ive just felt all the more close to her with her being as open as she is, especially as someone who has gone through trauma myself, albeit different from hers.

- kind of connected to that, i love how important spreading kindness, positivity, and love is to her. thats another thing thats been said a million times but still, its very important to me.

for example. she’ll randomly tweet things like “i love you” a lot. im one to always think of the thought process that goes on behind whatever someone posts, texts, etc., bc personally i put a lot of a thought into pretty much anything i say or do before i put it out there publicly, probably bc of my social anxiety. even tho its a simple statement and takes her a couple seconds to post, she still had to have the thought “i want to remind my fans that theyre loved” or something along those lines. and she has this thought FREQUENTLY. to just randomly get a notification every few days or weeks or so of her saying something like that is just very heartwarming to me.

the reason i connected with miley so much when she helped me through my initial trauma was bc it felt like even if no one loved me, she loves her fans, thus she loves me. thus the person i love and admire the most loves me. even if its only one person, it can be enough. it was for me at the time. i feel that same way with dove. when she came into my life, i didn’t feel as unloved, but her love was still helpful to me.

- of course i need to specifically talk about her kindness in person too. dont get me wrong (ive been saying that a lot havent i lol), i totally and completely loved her long before i met her, but naturally, i love her 10x more after the experiences ive had getting to know her in person.

i could go ONNNNNNN about the experiences ive had with her, and i have lol, and if you already heard me ramble about this in the server i apologize, but the most important thing ive taken away from every encounter ive had with her is this: she always goes the extra mile. she always goes out of her way to make people feel special. what i mean by that is she could say/do HALF as much as she has when meeting me and i would still leave over the moon feeling loved. you can tell she does this in excess bc she really truly means it and cares about people like me, she doesnt have any kind of ulterior motive and isnt just going through the motions doing whats asked of her, she simply cares about me and the rest of her fans. some examples - the first time we met, i was sobbing (lol) and she hugged me for a really long time, rocking me back and forth, brushing my hair with her thumb, calling me sweetheart and honey. she even started to tear up a bit herself. - a couple months later, i went to my first liv and maddie taping. i was preparing to reintroduce myself (i looked a little different bc id been cosplaying as maddie the first time i met her) and ofc when preparing myself, i fantasized pretty heavily as i usually do and pictured myself showing her the pic of us on my phone, her gasping, jumping out of her chair screaming, and hugging me, thinking that was probably way more than i was gonna get. that is EXACTLY what happened. then she went on to tell me how my costume made her whole weekend. things like this would continue to happen where i would set the bar impossibly high and not only would she meet it but she’d exceed it. - our usual interaction from there on would start with her face lighting up when she saw me, her calling me some kind of cute name like love or baby, and then hugging me without me even having to initiate it. - when i saw her in mamma mia, i didnt know when id be seeing her again afterwards after pretty consistently getting to see her for 2 years, so i wanted to make sure we got some kind of closure. at the stage door, i reminded her how much she meant to me and just expected like an “aww i love you too” or something back, but she said “you are an angel in my life” and i will never forget that. obvs, i havent told her ALL the details about what she and her characters mean to me but like...she can tell. she can tell if im in a homemade maddie costume sobbing into her arms that theres something there, and shes VERY appreciative of that. - i thankfully got to see her at a meet and greet a few months later and every time i thought i should get going cuz i didnt want to hold the line up, she would just open her arms for another hug. speaking of being appreciative, she even said “thank you for being such a supportive fan.” as i left, i turned around to say one last goodbye. i made sure she wasnt with the next fan yet and yelled out “bye!” and she yelled back “I LOVE YOU!!” and blew me a kiss. again, its the little things. - i saw her at a small panel in new york a few months after that. she walked in the room when the lights were down as they were playing a clip, she quietly waved hi to everyone, then saw me and loudly whispered HI BABY!!! and stopped on her way to the stage to give me a hug. (then she looked at me from the stage and asked which way i thought she should cross her legs for the interview lol) - sometimes when she sees im next in line, shell give me a knowing smile or whisper “hi baby!!” or something like that. she saw me in the crowd after clueless and seemed to make a point to come to me last bc she knew wed be talking for a while, which we did. she even told me she’d seen me in the audience, asking if i was in the front on the left, which i was.

even all that is still just scratching the surface. weve “known” each other for 5 years now and every time i think she’s done the most she can do, she outdoes herself again. not to mention when im at these events, i see her treat all the fans she meets with all of that kindness too. naturally all of this has made me love her all the more.

- finally, lets just be honest here..........................shes REALLY fucking hot.

i have so many theories!!! theyre all screaming at me!!! i must write out them all!!!!!

so here’s one that’s been knocking around my head since finals week began:

the Writing 3 Playlist on Spotify

I think this bad boy is a hint at the game’s timeline

maybe not 100% explanatory, but I think we can guess certain parts of the game through this

and i just wanna tell y’all now, almost all of this is speculation, as honestly im 90% sure the playlist was created bc it had borderlands-y songs in it (although the last few have me scratching my head)

lemme explain why im writing this, though I’m very thirsty for lore

tl;dr: game goes like this: lilith powers stolen. go to promethea, go to jungle, find brick mordy and tina, get into a fight, lose fight, go find other VHs, get into another fight, Krieg shows up to save Maya, maya die. (oh no she ded), the twins have their we are GODS moment, the VHs get summoned to the Eridian homeworld, there’s a huge ass final battle, someone attempts to create an end-of-the-world scenario

so the playlist itself was created to help one of the authors of the game get into their borderlands jam

it starts with a Cage the Elephant song, “Trouble”, the band of which we all know wrote the first song used in BL1. Not really much else to say here, but we do know the opening cutscene of the game involves our current team of Vault Hunters being attacked by the Children of the Vault. this is, of course, not indicative of any songs used in bl3, but we can assume it captures the general feeling of the game.

Second song: “Fire” by Barns Courtney (holy shit I love this guy so fucking much!! if you’ve never listened to his music, PLEASE do so! I really recommend “Rather Die”- I am in the process of making a bl3 animatic to it actually lmao).

So anyway, I’m just sayin’, the lyrics of this song...

Honestly, I would not be surprised if this song was about Lilith’s loss of her powers. I mean, she used to call herself the Firehawk because she burned the shit outta bandits. c’monnn.

holy fuck i love this song so much. and its so very obviously about the Calypso Twins- at the very least its Tyreen.

I mean come on if its not when we meet the twins for the first time after they steal lily’s powers, then its definitely when they do something absolutely badass and really show us why they’re revered as gods. Possibly related to the Holy Broadcasting Center?

this one honestly had got me stumped as to its purpose, i lowkey kinda think its getting Sanctuary 3 up and running (and possibly meeting Maya for the first time- still not sure about that). I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a whole thing for Scooter and this song fits pretty well. I imagine we also meet Vaughn and the Children at some point, so maybe here?

“Greeting the Menace” by Zack Hemsey

yeah i uhhhh dunno. This sounds like a song about a dude getting tortured which scares me a bit lmao.

I thought maybe this song and the next 2 could be VH-based songs, as the next 2 have no lyrics whatsoever and the third is called “Best Friends”, but who knows... If this is the case I could make the argument this is about Zane or Moze, leaning towards Zane cuz he’s pretty covered up, plus I think “Best Friends” would be more Moze’s style lmao

I could also see this being a song about Troy... could explain all the ‘body mods’ and the missing arm.

“ProtoVision” by Kavinsky

If we’re going with the idea that these next few songs are about the Vault Hunters, then I imagine this would be Fl4k’s. It’s got that synth and some guitar which I think fits perfectly with his robo-hobo aesthetic lol

Other than that, I truly have no idea what part of the story this song could reference since there aren’t any lyrics. Maybe Promethea’s city? I could kinda see it, it sounds pretty high-tech

Similarly, “diatribe.” by Oliver Michael

the beginning gives me a whole meditation vibe which I kinda associate with Amara and her phasecast skill which “sends out an astral projection” of herself.

Then again, this could be the outskirts of the Promethean city... I could see myself wandering around the huge ass foliage and discovering an abandoned research base to this song idk

“Best Friends” by grandson

aaahh i love grandson. I think this could be a Moze-based song. I just get that vibe from her leather jacket... anyway

I also could totally see this as discovering Brick, Mordecai, and Tina in the research base (if that truly is where they are). Cause we saw them in the trailer hanging out there.

tbh the lyrics themselves kinda remind me of pre-Tales Rhys and Fiona and all their friends

I kinda associate this one with Axton since his whole History with DAHL, but who knows! It could be Gaige, too. or Maya since she looks like she’s being incredibly gay criminal on the Maliwan Monastery planet. Maybe both Axton and Gaige? I would love that

“The Devil You Know” by X Ambassadors

Could also be Axton! I lowkey think its Salvador or Timothy Lawrence. The reason I think its Timothy is cuz the whole song gives me huge Handsome Jack vibes, but it could also be Sal cuz I totally imagine him becoming a bounty hunter to fund his gun addiction lmao

“00000 Million” by Ella Vos

this one also gives off Maya vibes imo. I wouldn’t be surprised if this one is about her and the introduction of Little Blue. I could also see Athena and Janey here, just living their lives out in a cottage somewhere. awww

Ahh a love song [pukes] Hopefully this one is about Athena and Janey, cuz there is a depressing lack of both of them in all the trailers we’ve seen! It sounds lowkey sad, though. I hope nothing happened to them D:

this one gives me very big Fiona and Sasha vibes.

Of course, there’s also the fact that the song is about a dad, and we still don’t know who the heck “the Father” is on all those Calypsos posters. We also dunno who in the heck “Mother” is, either. Sounds like Father left the cult, though, oof, and Mother stuck around. Wonder what that’s all about, maybe he felt like the twins were working fast/efficient enough and left to do things himself? Very lost on this idea tbh. the song seems very out of place, but it has to connect to something, yknow?

“Dies Irae” by Apashe and Black Prez

For those of you who don’t speak fluent Latin (the fuck guys?? lmao jk), the title means "Day of Wrath". Nice, nice, nice.

the lyrics, you might be asking:

at the very least this is definitely a fight scene here. Probably with the twins again (hopefully). Maybe they found some way to imbue the cultists with fucked up powers and are sending them against the VHs as giant demon things and as we fight through the temple (apparently with some Guardians) we realize the final one is Troy and/or Tyreen?

I like to imagine this is where Maya gets her powers stolen, if only because the next few songs... I think she’s around because she’s now the only person with Siren powers on the side of the Crimson Raiders, so they might need her help with the Vault in some way

“RAMPAGE” by GRAVEDGR

y’all wonder why I seemingly forgot about Krieg in the above songs? Well, this is why.

The only lyric for this entire song is “Bitch, I'm on a rampage- mask on my damn face”

I mean come on, Krieg with his psycho mask on, the fact his action skill is literally called “Buzz Axe Rampage”, the fact he loves Maya as shown in his introductory trailer... it’d be so perfect. And I bet badass psycho Krieg would be the only thing able to beat back whatever’s attacking at the moment. I’m just imagining him smashing down a wall and going apeshit

“Black Out Days” by Phantograms

Another song I think is about Krieg and Maya. I don’t think Maya does too hot in this game, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if she gets the Roland treatment if you know what I’m saying. I wonder if this causes Krieg to devolve back into insanity cause the whole song seems to focus around that. I hope not D:

To be honest I could also see it being that Maya gets her powers stolen and thoughtlock-ed by the twins to fight on their side (as she’s seen fighting with the big demon elemental things), and maybe we have to kill her or hurt her in some way to get her to stop attacking us. God I hope not.

Let’s hope this is someway about the twins and definitely not about our favorite Siren and/or Psycho

“The Finishing” by Stavroz

oof i think somebody dies... If its not Maya, my best guess is Krieg or Lilith. Maybe Mordecai or Brick? Oh I hope not, I love both of them way too much for it to be healthy. But, hey, at least Tina learned some coping mechanisms :(

“Intro” and “Apocalypse Please” by Muse

merged these into 1 because Intro is like 15 seconds long and is literally the introduction to Apocalypse Please.

Definitely reaching the end of the game here...

I think the twins (or whoever may have become the main villain- perhaps the Eridians?) have claimed victory/gotten the ultimate power in one way or another, and/or this is the Crimson Raiders getting themselves ready for a final stand-off with the big bad evil guy.

I would really love if there’s a scene right at the end of this where the Twins have their huge “BOW TO ME” moment and then they just get COMPLETELY obliterated by a new villain. Just absolutely decimated.

New villain, like if they opened a Vault and whatever was being imprisoned there just wipes the floor with them (something like the Destroyer, if not the Destroyer itself), or fuck shit maybe even Tannis? or the Eridians looking for help in the war. or the Eridians bringing war. Who knows!

Again, could just be the Twins having gotten their hands on the end-game material, like realizing they can turn troy into big demon fuck (no i am not letting this one go) and we are kinda fucked now.

“Free Animal” by Foreign Air

I... have no idea lol

maybe Krieg getting rescued, maybe (one of?) the twins getting recruited by the Raiders for the final fight? It could fit into the ‘Beast’ imagery. Fuck, maybe even rescuing/finding Typhon or something? Idk, im kinda in the party that Typhon is going to be coming back some way or another lol, I’d love to meet the guy

“Dreams” by ZHU and Nero

This definitely sounds like a new BBEG has just been introduced or the big bads just entered the final phase of their plan, like the Crimson Raiders just learned about something life-changing and this is their “oh shit” moment

i wanna believe that the Eridians or another alien race (like the Seraphs!) are going to come in at the ‘end’ of the game and the Watcher is gonna be like “bitch did you really think I thought these dumbass ECHOnet streamers were the epitome of War??” I imagine we’d be on the side of the Eridians here, since y’know, the Watcher came to us for help.

Of course, the twins could still be the BBEG and have gotten their hands on that universe-destroying power that was described on the website (”to recover a map to ancient Vaults and prevent a universe-destroying power from falling into the wrong hands”) so maybe the Eridians called us in in order to meet and get help against the COV?

“Beyond the Fray” by Cassandra Violet

personally i think this one is about the Eridian homeworld

“I'll mark the day When we can meet beyond the fray Don't lose the will to see your home You find the way so we can meet beyond the fray I'll fight to see that you get home Consider this small clue Look beyond your point of view Make a space for honesty hide“

Wouldn’t even be surprised if someone made a sacrifice so we could get there... I imagine its hidden somewhere in the alternate dimension or wherever the Vaults lead to so it couldn’t be found, so maybe Lilith’s got her powers back at this point and she sacrifices herself to send us there?

“Outside the Realm” by Big Giant Circles

ah yes, another reason I think the end of the game involves the Eridian homeworld in some way. Have you heard this?? huge “we just stumbled upon a long-lost-alien-planet” vibe. I love it. Maybe even just a shot of Sanctuary III slowly gliding over the giant planet, having just exited phasewalk. God yes

“Battle Royale” by Apashe

another reason i think the final fight is some giant battlefield/wave fight instead of just against 1 or 2 enemies. not to mention the fact that the VH skills we’ve seen so far are crowd control based instead of raid boss focused.

Its likely the VHs against the Cult of the Vault, but if we defeat the Twins halfway through the game, then the Cult will dissolve on its own. Either way, I really really really really really want a huge fight against an army. I don’t care if its against the Children of the Vault, the Eridians/some Guardians, or if its against the Seraphs or a new set of aliens we’re gonna get (maybe whatever the Destroyer was/is?). idk idc i just want a huge battle. I imagine we’re on the Eridians’ side, as I said above, but who knows, maybe the Watcher went rogue.

SCP-7896 Crash Dummies

Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: All SCP-7896 instances should be placed in separate standard humanoid containment cells with no interactions between the instances. 2 guards should be placed to protect the SCP-7896 instances from escaping, one guard outside the door leading to the cell and one outside in the hallway of the containment cells. If a SCP-7896 instance teleports out of its containment, MTF team Mu-13 (Ghostbusters) should be dispatched to find the SCP-7896 instances in the area.

Description: SCP-7896 instances are pack-based predators resembling crash test dummies, humanoid figures used in vehicular testing to determine the safety of the vehicle, designated SCP-7896-1 and SCP-7896-2. SCP-7896-1 instances are reddish-orange, with simple facial features.

SCP-7896-1 instances prey on any kind of animals, often humans. The hunting tactics SCP-7896-1 instances seem to use fear as a hunting tactic, purposefully scaring its prey by knocking things over when the prey is not looking, changing positions when the prey is not looking at the SCP-7896-1 instance, among other things. SCP-7896-1 instances will stalk its prey, making the prey more and more fearful of their surroundings, and this effect is particularly worse in humans, especially those with a high IQ, or Intelligence Quotient. Once the prey has become extremely afraid, a SCP-7896-1 instance will then manifest in front of their prey, quickly approaching them, emitting a high pitched noise while flailing their limbs, killing them through unknown means. The instance that completes this task is not always the instance that was hunting the prey leading up to the prey’s death, and the prey seems to be shared among the other instances.

However, SCP-7896-2 instances do not show the same tactic. SCP-7896-2 instances are completely black, with only 2 shining white dots for eyes. SCP-7896-2 instances do not seem to use stalking as its method of hunting, rather becoming dormant in specific areas, waiting for prey. Whenever prey comes close, the SCP-7896-2 will teleport in front of the prey and duplicate themselves. In 90% of these cases, the prey will suffer from cardiac arrest and die. SCP-7896-2 instances show a much higher IQ than SCP-7896-1 instances, and SCP-7896-2 instances seem to be able to control SCP-7896-1 instances.

SCP-7896 instances show high amounts of strength, able to break body parts, such as bones. SCP-7896 instances also share an ability to change their appearances, to blend into their surroundings. Currently, it is unknown how SCP-7896 instances are able to do this.

ADDENDUM

On 7/12/████, 3 bodies were found in an automobile company named [DATA EXPUNGED]. The first victim discovered, Julia Arkams, was found outside the company’s main building, her body was dumped by the front door to the building, and a crash test dummy was discovered beside her, in the same position of Julia Arkams. Julia Arkams had died around approximately 1:20 P.M., and her cause of death is strangulation. The second victim, Tim Bonnet, was found inside a testing vehicle in the passenger’s side, with a crash test dummy placed in a comedic position with its right arm on the horn and the left arm on the steering wheel. The cause of death is unknown. The final victim, Samantha Wilkkes, was found huddled in her office, and 3 crash dummies surrounded her. Her cause of death is also unknown.

The crash dummies found are thought to be instances of SCP-7896, and a cover up story was initiated about a murder-suicide involving the three victims, that Tim Bonnet, one of the victims, killed both Julia Arkams and Samantha Wilkkes. After the discovery of the bodies, a computer was found describing the events that unfolded before the deaths of the three. A chat log was found, seemingly used by the company. An additional person was found in the chat log, however the identity is unknown. It is believed Samantha Wilkkes did not join the chat, as the chat logs state of Samantha being new to the company, though a person named “Sam” joined chat. (See CHAT LOG 2) In the cover up story, this info is to be let out.

IT DIDN’T HELP THAT THE BOOK’S SETTING WAS VERY SKYRIM-ESQUE, like that book was SO FAR up my alley lmao, if u get the time to read it i highly recommend it my love!! it was a really nice experience, i haven’t read an actual book for fun in like…. probably a few years

🍼what is your favorite memory? huh. i dunno if i really have a favorite single memory. but i think one of my favorite string of memories is the trip i went on with my mom to new york city for a couple of days. from start to finish it was so incredible and i love thinking about all the good times the two of us had. it was so GREEN there and all the water and the rain and all the different people… it was incredible. and then seeing hamilton on broadway… i’m still losing my mind over it. the BEST moment of the entire musical was during “the room where it happens,” the guy who played aaron burr was AMAZING and he just commanded the stage during his moment of self-revelation at the end of that song, i was literally transfixed by him, esp since i see a lot of myself in burr AND LIKE. i probably shouldn’t have but i felt so empowered seeing him take the stage like that and sing so loud and proud and like that. i still get excited every time i think about it. i guess that classifies as my favorite memory then

let’s start off how I usually do these with a bit of backgrounddddd

you’re from a rich family

busy parents, who are barely ever around, theyre always overseas on business trips or extravagant holidays

like they do care enough about you and tend to your needs, but just aren’t round enough to really feel like loving parents ;;

but that means you’ve grown up to be very independent and non-reliant on other people

that doesn’t mean you don’t get quite lonely though

your house is massive

and sometimes you have moments where you feel so small by yourself in the empty house

but you tried to overcome that by throwing yourself into lots of extracurricular/club activities, so you would be away from home

you were in so many clubs, you were class president, you were on the athletics team, always running round doing stuff, people wondered how you were still able to function

sometimes you wonder that too, but you figure it’s due to the nanny you had growing up

when you were younger, your parents had hired a nanny to care for you when you came home from school

her husband was the family butler + and had been serving your family for generations

you hadn’t thought much of it, frankly you much preferred not having someone look after you

but you were always friendly, and happy to talk to them, like you’d never abuse your power or make them go an extra mile to help you

and you really did enjoy talking to your nanny - she was around the same age as your own mother

throughout your childhood you practically considered her to be your motherly figure, as she had been the one to give you advice whenever you were in a pinch

for example, in your first year of high school, you found that many people only wanted to be your friend because of your background

and she told you that you those people weren’t worth your time and that you’d definitely meet people who’d like you for being you

she helped you pick out a nice dress and shoes for the junior dance

in your final year, she even gave you boy advice when you told her you had a crush on the tall, handsome boy in your year (y’all know where this is going right)

and then she’d gush about her own son and you’d end up chatting with her for hours about him

Like how he had been voted class president, even though he was new to the school

and how he was captain of the choir

and how he was such a wonderful son

you’d never even seen his picture, but you knew so much about him?

and although you’d never met him, he always made you feel a pang of jealousy

why couldn’t your parents dote on you like that too?

At school though, you continued to crush on Tall Handsome boy in your year level

His homeroom/form class was the one next to yours, so you didn’t really know much about him, except for the fact that he was new and already quite the popular one.

You had met him briefly at the start of the school year, when you were trying to peer over his broad shoulders to see what class you were in

and he had noticed you struggling, gently pulling you to stand in front of him, before shuffling away, ears tinged with pink

since then you had been content with admiring him from afar, but of course that was soon to end, when you find him standing in the foyer of your house???!?!

“Miss Y/N, welcome home”

You were completely speechless, mouth gaping wide open

You stutter out a greeting, but you’re still in a daze looking round the room to make sure you weren’t being punked or something

“Are you alright Miss Y/N? You look a bit faint, would you like me to get you a glass of water?”

Before you could respond, Minhyun had hurried off to the kitchen

How the hell did this situation even happen?

In your many years of conversations with your nanny, how did you never put 2 and 2 together and realise that her son was Hwang Minhyun?

Speaking of your nanny, a few seconds later, she walked in behind you, her hands full with the weekly groceries, and you quickly went to help her carry some of the bags to the kitchen

you weren’t sure what to say, but you had to make sure you weren’t just going crazy

“uhh Mrs Hwang…there’s a guy here who says that he’s the new butler?? Your son??”

Mrs Hwang’s eyes lit up, “oh yes, my son Minhyun must have arrived earlier than expected! I hope he’s made a good first impression on you, dear”

Just then, Minhyun returned with the glass of water, which he was about to hand over to you, until he noticed your hands were full carrying the groceries

frowning he placed the water down on one of the cabinets in the hallway and took the bags from you

“Miss Y/N, I’ll take these for you, please don’t strain yourself with these.”

You’re taken aback and almost offended(?) by his actions, it’s not like you’re some delicate princess who can’t carry her own vegetables a few metres from the doorway.

“Uh thanks… but please, can you stop calling me ‘Miss Y/N’? We’re the same age, you can speak casually with me…”

“I couldn’t possibly Miss Y/N, I need to be professional when I’m working.”

“…but…it’s uncomfortable for me”

“I apologise, but it will be easier for me this way,” he bowed his head slightly

He didn’t seem like he would change his mind very easily so you just sighed and nodded in defeat

it would take you some time to get used to him living in the same house with you.

Relief only hit when you arrived at school early the next day, where you sat at your desk getting your books and pencil case ready for first period.

At least at school you were able to escape from Minhyun for a bit, he was in a different class after all

You had left in a hurry that morning, foregoing breakfast in an attempt to get out of the house as fast as possible without bumping into Minhyun

You rummage through you bag, and keep rummaging round, because lol you forgot your lunch box hahahahahah good one Y/N

you groan, maybe theres still some time to run to the convenience store and buy something to eat, at least you have your wallet on you

A collective gasp distracts you from your dilemma and you see Minhyun standing in the doorway

it’s so cliche, but all the girls are wondering why next door’s class pres has suddenly visited

He beckons to you, and everyone is confused at the connection between the two of you

the gossipers will probably have a field day but you don’t have time to worry about that right now because Minhyun is has started to speak

“Y/N, class presidents have a meeting to discuss the school festival this morning, did you forget?”

You scramble to the door in a hurry, “Huh? No, isn’t that tomorr-”

The look on Minhyun’s face cuts you off quickly when you realise he’s holding your lunch box in one hand

Nodding in understanding, you head over to the stairwell with him, and he passes you your lunch as well as a can of iced coffee and a muesli bar

“Miss Y/N, I noticed you didn’t have breakfast this morning. It is the most important meal of the day, so please make sure that you have something to eat even if it’s small. If you want, I can make you breakfast in the mornings and bring it to your room. If you are uncomfortable with me going to your room, then I can leave it outside for you instead, or-”

You couldn’t stop the rush of blood to your face, as you took the lunch box from him gingerly

“jeez Minhyun you really don’t have to worry about me so much, I skip breakfast all the time…

but thank you for bringing this for me, next time you don’t have to, I can just buy food at the cafeteria”

“But Miss Y/N, the food at the cafeteria isn’t as nutritionally balanced or healthy as the meal made by my mother at your home.”

You sigh, but nod, Mrs Hwang’s homemade lunches every 2nd day were the highlights of your lunchtimes tbh

The bell chimed indicating that class was about to start, and you both started to go back up the stairs in the direction of your respective classrooms.

As you turn to go into your classroom, you give him a quick nudge in the ribs causing him to jump slightly

“oi Minhyun, please, im begging you to stop calling me Miss, we’re at school, can’t you just treat me as an equal? you don’t have to worry about me, I’ve survived by myself for long enough, remember to look after yourself too…”

with that you hurried back into your classroom, missing Minhyun murmuring something under his breath

“…I can’t help but worry about you though…”

As you sit down at you chair, you bring the can of ice coffee to your cheeks in an attempt to cool them down from the very apparent redness tinging them

Throughout the rest of the year at school, things slowly changed between the two of you

Both of you had decided that it would be best to keep it under wraps that he was your butler

He was still pretty formal with you but after a few weeks he had finally dropped calling you Miss Y/N

He also became more understanding about how independent and non reliant you were

even though all he wanted to do was take care of you

but seeing as you were in completely different friend circles, it meant you didn’t see him often at school anyway

the only times were when you had to fulfil your role as your class president and attended meetings with him/preparing for the festival

At home though, you actively avoided and suppressed your feelings for Minhyun, to the point where you became pretty good at hiding your emotions when you were in front of him

To be safe though, you would just stay locked up in your room

but it didn’t really help much that his room was the one next to yours

and you’d often hear him singing sweet love songs with that honey voice of his

and you’d just melt because who wouldn’t be a sucker for Minhyun’s voice lbr

and then it’d be this endless cycle of you falling for him, before scolding yourself, and then falling for him all over

After a while, you found that it was quite nice having company your own age round the empty house of yours

You had taken to studying together in the dining room, with him often helping you with your Japanese homework

and in a matter of a few months, Minhyun had gone from the Tall Handsome boy to becoming your butler, to becoming your good friend

It still felt weird though, having a crush on your classmate who was also paid to serve you and your family?

You didn’t like that there was this potential power imbalance in your friendship, and you had mentioned this to Minhyun before

But he had always waved you off, swearing that he was content with being loyal to you and your family.

and Minhyun was indeed fiercely loyal - he had seen how other guys had looked at you with those eyes - eyes that he couldn’t help but admit that he had look at you with as well

…At least as Y/N’s butler, I can protect her from everyone else…I’m just her butler, I don’t deserve to be this close to her, but I can’t help it, I just want to shower her with all my affection

On the afternoon of his birthday, you had been too embarrassed to give him a present in person, so you had waited for the opportunity for when he was out to sneak into his room

You were about to open the door to his room, when Mrs Hwang walked by with a pile of fresh laundry causing you to freeze in your tracks

“Y/N, my dear, I’ve just done the laundry - would you like me to run a hot bath for you?”

You nodded vigorously, the adrenaline kicking in from you almost being caught, “Yes please, Mrs Hwang, that would be amazing!!”

“Not a problem, lovely, I’ll let you know when it’s all ready for you.”

When she was out of sight, you heaved out a sigh before cracking open the door to Minhyun’s room

You realised it had been the first time you had gone into his room since he’d moved in and started working as your butler.

His room was so neat and tidy, so typically Minhyun.

When you went and put his present on the desk, you noticed his planner laid out in front of you

You wouldn’t usually pry on someone’s personal stuff like this, but even just glancing at it you could tell there wasn’t anything super personal in there, it was just his daily tasks, and events he had

You noticed he hadn’t even written his own birthday in the planner but he had written down all his friend’s

Curiosity got the better of you and you wondered if he’d written yours down there too

Flipping to your birthday, your eyes widened at the little note written on by the date

You heard the jingling of keys outside the house and you froze for the second time that night, unsure if you’d make it out without being seen

You managed to get the door shut just as Minhyun was walking up the stairs

He was holding a rose and a prettily wrapped box which you assumed was cologne (A/N: back in the day when you come of age in korea, you were typically given roses, perfume and a kiss but it doesnt really happen so much anymore)

He blushed slightly, scratching the back of his head in embarrassment

“They kept trying to get people to kiss me because it’s my birthday, so I ended up just running away and came home early…I know it’s a tradition but I wasn’t too keen on getting a kiss from a complete stranger.”

You laughed, “I’m sure they were just teasing, but I’m glad you had a good time.”

He nodded, smiling at you and letting you know again to tell him if you needed anything before you both went into your respective rooms

As you were getting your stuff ready for your bath, you heard a knock on your door

Thinking it was Mrs Hwang, you opened it straight away ready to thank her, only to be surprised by seeing Minhyun again

He was holding the present you gave him delicately in his fingers - a classic but elegant watch with a sleek leather band.

“Did you get this for me, Y/N?”

“oh..yeah, yeah i did… do you like it?”

“it’s so beautiful...i love it, but I can’t possibly accept this”

He reached out to return the watch to you, and you felt a pang of rejection

Not letting him return the watch to you, you pushed his hand away, “why are you giving it back to me? I got this especially for you!”

Mnhyun couldn’t think of a response, and with a sudden burst of courage and frustration, you blurted out quickly,

“Well, if you don’t want the watch, at least you have to get all three coming of age gifts today right?”

And before he could respond, you pulled him down to your level, giving him a very quick, chaste kiss on the lips before pulling away,

“Happy birthday!”

Suddenly all the bravery you had drained away and you tried to scurry past him but he caught your arm pulling you back into him to plant his lips on yours again

His arms snaked round your waist and you could feel yourself melting into his warmth

He smelt like a lovely mixture of fresh mint and peaches and you could taste the grapefruit tea he must’ve had earlier on his tongue.

Not breaking away from the kiss, you pulled him into your room by the collar of his shirt, shutting the door behind you

As soon as he heard the click of the door, Minhyun had you pinned against the door, his lips leaving a trail down your neck before he sucked gently on your pulse

You tried to stifle the moan that came from your lips, but it was too late, and Minhyun’s eyes came back up to meet yours, shining with intensity

“I’m…I’m so sorry, i don’t know what came over me” you apologised breathlessly, moving to step away but Minhyun’s hands were firmly on your waist holding you in place.

“Please, Y/N, please don’t apologise to me…”

His fingers went to caress the sides of your face and he smiled gently when you leaned further into his touch

“I’ve wanted to do that for a long time, but I never thought I’d ever get the opportunity to.”

You frowned, “what do you mean?”

“I’m your butler, I’m here to serve you, I don’t deserve to be here like this,” he gestured to the position you were both in, “with you..”

Scoffing you pulled him in closer, burying your face into his chest, “Minhyun, who I deserve to be with is for me to decide, and even if you are my butler, that doesn’t mean you are any less than I am.

And besides, I’ve liked you since the first day of high school from before I even knew you were my butler!”

“Wait since the first day of high school, really?”

“Yeah, and then when you became my butler, you were all uptight like ‘Miss Y/N this, Miss Y/N that,’ I couldn’t catch a break! It doesn’t help that your room is right next door, you were so distracting all the time!”

Minhyun grinned, “Well it’s the same for me then isn’t it, when we were at the first meeting as class presidents, you never paid much attention to me, but I couldn’t take my eyes off you for the entire time…you’re very cute when you’re focused.”

He leaned down to capture your lips again before you could respond and you gladly reciprocated

A light knock on your door caused you to jump

“Y/N are you on the phone? the bath is all ready for you now!”

Bright red blushes mirrored both of your cheeks, and you’re absolutely mortified that Mrs Hwang nearly caught you making out with her son, whilst Minhyun is just desperately trying to block out images of you in the bath

Looking down at you in his arms, he gestured for you to open the door as he hid behind it, but not before kissing you gently on the forehead, and whispering softly in your ear that he was looking forward to continuing what you’d started after your bath

BUT HES ALSO A SWEET NOODLE HJKSHJKS oH and did you know that before he joined a.c.e he had no experience in dancing whatsoever and in a year and a half, he caught up with the other four members that have been dancing since they were kids?? I STAN TALENT YALL you’d literally never be able to guess that bc all of them are like on an equal dance level its insane

his stage name is wow, but its hard to take seriously so the fandom just calls him sehyoon lmfao. it used to be seyoon but when he went on mixnine, he revealed sehyoon was the official romanization so here we are lmao. even if your bias isn’t sehyoon…it’s sehyoon. he’s just that guy ya feel me?? anyways sehyoon is a relatively quiet and reserved guy, but his members really pull out the dork in him, i love it so much?? he doesn’t talk much but when he does all of a.c.e directs their full attention to him to listen, its really sweet, hes pretty awkward with people but you can tell he just feels so safe and comfortable with ace it honestly warms my heart. he’s the main rapper and main dancer, but!! our multitalented man is also a vocalist. yes, you heard, me, the main rapper can sing, and really well at that. (if you scroll up back to the flashlight and dont recall covers, you can see more of his voice.)

gets the least lines, but not by much. although hearing his singing voice in their actual songs has happened like with 2 lines?? so idk man im just waiting for their ballad song that theyre apparently doing for their third song, god im so ready. i love his voice a lot, damn.

he’s also like reeeeeeeeeally gay for jason…the entire fandom ships it and they even ship it themselves. wowson, the otp of ace, they honestly just cant keep their hands off eachother??? i know a friend who struggled to tell apart jun and jason so she just looked at who sehyoon was standing next to and instantly knew it was jason. I woke up from a really cool dream and made a post about it, I think I ate a little bit of oatmeal, and changed a trash bag in my mom’s room. the main thing I did today was finish the other paw to the set ive been working on. I took some videos, but I'll post pictures tomorrow maybe. I also have to share them to fursuit maker amino. I still want to give them cuffs, I just dont have the correct black fabric right now. I really like how they turned out :) theyre big and fluffy and fun to hit stuff with and look really funny when you try to pick stuff up because it looks so small in your hands lol. it just kinda sucks that little fibers keep sticking to the paw pads and I have to keep pulling them off but they keep getting stuck because the fur keeps shedding. oh well. if there’s a way to fix that I'd love to hear it. i’m exited to make another pair using what ive learned from this one. specifically, if I want to make puffy paw pads I either need to do darts on the pads or use a stretchy fabric. I ALSO BAKED A CAKE! to celebrate the inauguration. both of my friend groups said yes to virtually hanging out tomorrow so I gotta sort out which group is calling when. actually I just looked trough texts and it looks like high school friend group is available tomorrow after 5 and idk when my band friends will be free because only 2 people responded with times/dates :/ either way im still exited. in the timespan between finishing the paws and baking the cake I got frustrated. I kept scrolling through Tumblr but I was frazzled from not doing anything productive in that moment and I didnt want to scroll forever on Tumblr or tiktok and I didnt want to sit down and play a game so I just kinda thought too hard and scrolled through Tumblr and tapped out a beat on the desk really hard. my dad came in and mentioned that he was going to the bank so I gave him $100 to deposit in my account. im gonna keep an eye on my bank app to make sure he didnt fuckin steal it or something. I doubt he would but still. in fact im gonna set a reminder on my phone RIGHT NOW. I just set 2. ive been using the reminder thing a lot today. I also redownloaded Pokemon smile yesterday because my phone offloads apps that haven't been used in a while. I really like Pokemon smile because I have a very hard time remembering / making the effort to brush my teeth every day. I finished brushing my teeth, and it makes you wait at least 3 hours between every brushing so I set a reminder that just said teeth and I got very confused for a second when I saw it again later AWETSRDFTY oh wait I almost forgot about the cake. it’s boxed vanilla cake mix but I boiled a lemon and blended it up and added the puree into the mix so now its a lemon cake :o) tbh I dont think it’s gonna taste good because it tasted more bitter then sour/lemony and it had a weird aftertaste but maybe that baked out. because the mix power smelled like play dough when I was mixing it but I know that bakes out. I also ate too much of the vanilla frosting out of the container probably lmao. I hid it so that my sister doesnt take another spoonful because im kinda depending on the frosting to save it if the cake tastes like ass. also I had 3 egg yolks left because it only needed the whites so I added one more egg and scrambled it and that's the first time ive had scrambled eggs in fuckin forever. the cake is out of the oven and cooling on the stove right now and I'll frost it tomorrow and have a slice as the inauguration happens. my sister wants to dye the icing blue but I feel that’ll ruin the lemon cake aesthetic but whatever. anyway im cold and need to go to bed. I hope I catch the inauguration on tv but tbh I just might sleep through it on accident

u and daehwi have known each other ever since u became a trainee at bnm

altho u were a little intimidated at first, he was always ready to approach u with friendly tips and a smile, so it was only a matter of time before u became best friends

hes the type of friend to hype u up whenever u step on stage

(ure p sure one time he came to a performance w a sign tht said u were the “inventor of rap” lol)

u can both b super extra when ure supporting each other tbh

to u guys, theres nothing too grand or too extreme to express how proud u are of each other

of course when u decide to enter produce 101 for the 3rd season, hes super excited for u

(hes also super nervous but he doesnt want u to know tht)

he gives u constant tips and advice, always guiding u

“be careful of their editing,, evil mnet is no joke”

daehwi sends u so much support tht even when u cant contact each other once the filming starts, u know he’s cheering u on

and listen. the show is STRESSFUL

daehwi already knew how hard it could be so he kinda didnt want u to go on it

but he also wanted u to show off how talented u were?? what a struggle

ur initial performance was with a couple labelmates, some girls u were close with but now super comfortable with

u did a song tht daehwi helped produce bc hes a king of music and u adore everything he makes

anyways

ure proud to say tht u gave it all, and u end up with a b ranking

its not as good as daehwi, but ure still rlly proud of urself

as the days go on, things only get more and more stressful

bc of how well so many of the s2 boys did, this season everything is 1000x as intense bc they want to make sure tht only the most talented people move on

as hard as it is, u step up to the challenge, practicing as much as u can whenever u can

still, sometimes ull see other ppl struggling

even tho theyre not from the same company as u, u have the kind of heart tht makes u want to try and help them even if just a little

at first it was a little awkward for u to offer advice to the other trainees, but with everyone cramped and tired together, its hard not to start to bond

soon enough, word spreads abt how ure one of the sweetest and hardworking trainees in the competition, and it sends a huge boost in ur popularity

it helps tht ure cute as heck and a lot of fans noticed how brightly ur smile was even before the first ep aired

altho ure not super close with any one person in particular, a lot of the girls there are super friendly so its easy for u to drift around to hang out with different groups

mnet seems to love u bc when u watch some episode clips, they show how ure always flitting around and seem like a v popular trainee

plus theyve decided to highlight u as one of the rising stars of the show, editing clips to show off the amount of time u practice and improve, even from ur already-amazing initial performance

ure super lucky and u dont forget it

but ure still pretty sure tht all of daehwis advice from beforehand helped u a lot

u dont get a lot of time to think abt him tho, just bc everything moves so fast in the competition

still, sometimes when ure trying to rest after another long day of practice, u cant help but reminisce on some of ur more playful and relaxed memories with daehwi

somehow, word didnt really get out abt how close u two were until midway thru the season

it wasnt like u were intentionally keeping it a secret, but it didnt rlly come up for awhile

not when u were all busy just trying to get some airtime and become a better idol

anyways

when word gets out, all of the other girls are So Jealous

luckily for u everyones really sweet and only tease u abt it instead of being jerks

still, now a lot of them are asking u for his number

tbh although u and daehwi had never talked abt it, u dont remember him saying tht he ever liked anyone

and honestly, u didnt rlly think abt him dating someone until girls were coming up to u left and right, asking what he was like

with time, everyone calms down a little bit, but ure left trying to focus on practice instead of why the thought of him dating someone else bothers u so much

(its hard bc u know exactly why ure upset, but u dont know what ure going to do abt it)

mOVING ON

u rlly cant talk to daehwi often, but there are some occasions where the p101 staff let u make a phone call

if ure not calling ur family, u always use it to call him

u use the limited time to catch up, and he always showers u in support and compliments, telling u how hes watching every ep when it airs and is cheering u on

even tho u cant see him, u can imagine the way he smiles as he says it, and its enough to make u smile as well

as the days and performances move on u get closer and closer to the final stage

u havent always been at the top of the rankings, but uve still been doing pretty well esp recently w all of the positive attention tht uve been getting

u make it to the finale, and u cant help but hold ur breath the entire time

in this mass of people in the audience, its impossible to make out anyones faces, so u cant recognize if anyone came to support u

u cant help but hope tht somehow daehwi made it, but u know hes been so busy with his own practicing tht he probably doesnt have time

theres a section of past p101 winners somewhere else, but its even further away and harder to see with all of the bright lights

the next couple of hours go by both achingly slow and annoyingly fast

as the names slowly start to get called, u watch with a heavy heart as more and more people are cheered their way on to safety

honestly ure still kinda surprised tht u made it this far, since u started out only hoping to gain experience and a vague fanbase with the show

but now tht ure here, u cant help but hope tht u make it to the end

despite everything u find urself cheering on the other girls whenever theyre announced as a finalist

everyones crying and ure no better tbh

its getting to the top, just before they decide to go back and announce the final member of the group, and ur ranking of 10 last week suddenly seems far too low, esp as 3rd place is about to be announced

then out of nowhere, ur name is called

ur hands are shaking and u keep looking around bc is this rlly happening?? but everyones screaming and hugging u and ure like ??????????

u cant even string together proper thoughts at this point

somehow u make it to the other stage where one of the staff puts a microphone in ur hands and the cameras are all aimed towards u

honestly half the things u say are just random words of gratitude or names tht u can never forget

ur busy telling ur parents, rhymer, all the other girls, ur fans, abt how much u love them, tht for a second somehow u almost forget abt daehwi

thts when ur gaze flickers to a screen in the stadium where the camera is focused on daehwi cheering and tearing up from his spot somewhere w some of the other p101 boys

of course u have to end it with a “lee daehwi!!! i love u too!!!!!!!” bc even if u know most ppl will take it platonically, ure not sure if he’ll see it the same way

(u dont even know if u want him to or not)

u say one last thank u before ure practically skipping over to ur seat and u cant help but think tht ure SO HIGH UP

still, now tht u know where daehwi is, even tho u cant make out his face, u feel ur heart stutter knowing that he’s there cheering for u

the rest of the night goes by in a blur honestly

as soon as ure all let backstage to meet up w ur family/friends, u find urself being tackled by a combination of familiar faces

daehwi is laughing into ur side, arm slung around ur shoulder, as ur parents try to congratulate u thru their tears, and uve never felt happier

after an embarrassingly long time of hugging and crying, daehwi manages to pull u to a slightly less crowded and loud area

n hes like “listen,, y/n,,,, u know im rlly proud of u too right?? like i love u a lot”

and ure not even thinking abt what u said in ur speech, just nodding along happily bc above all else, daehwi is still ur best friend

but he looks at u and he cant rlly stop smiling either, but he grabs u by the shoulders to say “no, i rlly love u a lot”

so ure like “okay??? and??????”

and he keeps staring at u with this stupid grin on his face and then it hits u and ure like “oh. oH. OH!!!!!!”

so ure both just smiling at each other like idiots n ure like “i think i love u too??”

at tht he has this mock-offended face like “u THINK”

but ure both so so happy teasing each other and feeling like ure both on top of the world

tbh u spend so long standing there and giggling tht ur parents eventually drag u away from ur private spot bc “u cant stand there grinning forever” and “ur bf isnt the only one whos proud of u!!!”

ure both embarrassed but its impossible for either of u to wipe the smiles off of ur faces

u all spend the rest of the day celebrating and enjoying each others company and the company of the rest of ur family/friends, and u cant help but think tht this is one of the best moments of ur life

THEY ACTUALLY KISSED BEFORE THEY WERE REALLY DATING. they were arguing after practice, bc like, that was their thing, they argued. kuroo eventually blurted out something like “if you werent so hot and distracting we wouldn’t be having this problem! its not my fault i think about kissing you all the time!” (rip kuroo) and they both went kind of quiet for a minute. yaku eventually broke the silence by saying “you could’ve just told me” and stood up on his tiptoes to kiss kuroo really softly.

they just took a walk together through the park, and hung out under the trees talking about everything and nothing. (and holding hands the whole time, even if they had to let go when people walked by)

ok if they’re alone and have nothing to do, they basically just cuddle all day and watch movies or dumb youtube videos. they just enjoy eachothers presence, ya feel? (sometimes kuroo makes yaku model for pictures. why? idk its just fun for them)

yaku’s dad didn’t take the news his son is dating another guy well at all. he didn’t lash out, but he did tell the two of them that he didn’t approve and they would never really be together in his eyes.

they dont exactly fight alot. sure, they argue, but its pretty much always dumb shit. their first real fight only started bc kuroo was having a panic attack over something that yaku didnt understand and got mad about. kuroo kicked yaku out and told him to leave them alone. (they made up a week later. there was a lot of kissing and explanations and comforting going on)

probably yaku tbh. girls flirt w kuroo a lot and it pisses him off bc, hello, thats HIS datemate you jerks.

honestly, anything they don’t have to cook is great.

kuROO IS DEFINITELY THE CUDDLER. yaku is ok w it as long as kuroo doesnt hold him down to snuggle with him. spooning is always the fav. (kuroo is the big spoon 8 nights out of 10, but if they’re feeling particularly insecure they’ll want yaku to hold them. he never disagrees.)

Are they hand holders?

yes!! kuroo likes holding yaku’s hands bc they’re small compared to theirs and they have a bunch of little calluses and small scars and freckles on the backs of them.

they don’t wait long at all bc…horny teenagers. as for circumstances, kuroo’s aunt left town for a week in the summer. they were home alone for a week. they did what any couple would do.

usually kuroo (bottoming is honestly too stressful for them. bad past stuff yo) but yaku is actually way more dominant.

the first time they tried to cook together, they got distracted making out and set dinner on fire. thats one of the reasons kuroos banned from the kitchen

they shop together, but yaku cooks ‘cause kuroo is banned from the kitchen. they’re usually allowed to sit on the counter and read/do homework while he cooks. they can��t touch anything in fear of ruining it. (they can bake, tho, something yaku fails epically at.)

yaku is more traditionally ‘organized’; his room is usually totally pristine, his notes are organized neatly, his closet is seperated by type of clothing, etc. kuroo is organized in their own way; their notes are set up in a way only they and maybe kenma understand and their room is clean and things look put away but they’re really just…crammed whereever. yaku is appalled.

Who proposes?

yaku! they move in together for uni and when they’re laying in bed one of the first days they’re there he asks, in this very small, unyakulike voice, “hey…do you wanna get married?” kuroo thought they imagined it, but still blurts out “yes! yes! yes i do!” and turns over to kiss yaku. they both cry bc sappy nerds.

Do they have joined Bachelor/Bacheloette parties or separate?

they actually have neither; they have the most low-key affair. no parties.

Who is the best man/maid of honour? Any other groomsmen or bridesmaids?

they really only invited their closest friends, cause kuroo was so nervous about it anyway. yaku’s best man is kai, and kuroo’s is bokuto. they task kenma with being the flower girl jokingly. he throws a bouqet of roses at both of them

yaku’s family has a beachhouse, and he takes kuroo there for their honeymoon. its pretty much the best.

they have two kids! a little girl with kuroo’s wild hair and yaku’s sharp eyes, and a little boy with yaku’s hair and face shape but kuroo’s eyes. they’re both spoiled rotten and loved to pieces by their parents and their parent’s friends
