Here's some fun facts about Henry in the Soldered Wires AU (in order of least to most unhinged):

1) Henry and William often spent their free nights at the local disco club. The duo worked listening to the entire discography of ABBA

2) Henry has had a curiousity with how technology works. As a result, if new technology enters the Emily household, there would be a high chance Henry would've disassembled it in an hour (Likely a sign of neurodivergency in his side of the family)

3) As a result, Henry is a savant in repuposing tech to fit his needs (for better or for worse)

4) There is a good reason why Bon's Burgers never made it past the Rocky Mountains.

5) There was one argument that has not been resolved between Henry and William:

These are kinda-sorta leftover doodles that've been hanging around that I want Somewhere #The first two are anyway the latter two are actually vent-adjacent lol #First two first!#I always prattle on about how perfect I think Charm's design is but agh her balance of flat and 3D shapes are so fun to me #My notes make sense to me but they are pretty all over the place so let's see if I can clarify lol #The numbers are how many pop-out features she has - anything that doesn't share a plane with her body (her head/torso/arms/legs)#So things like her hair - her glasses - the collar of her shirt but not the shirt itself since that's flush with her torso #Think like constructing a pattern where the clothes are part of the doll itself rather than removable articles #And while her hair is flush with what would be her body it's still an ''extra'' shape! Hopefully that makes sense lol #Anyhow - the dashes are flat features like her collar or the tops of her shoes on her thighs - they pop out but are flat shapes #As opposed to pop-outs like her bon-bons or her wings! Those are very 3D! The bon-bons are spheres and her wings are thin but not flat #I think she has a lovely distribution of flat and 3D pop-outs :D Considering she was designed with 3D in mind! Which I've gotten away from #Probably as evidenced by my difficulty coming up with her TVAU design pfftbl #I do still really like the idea of the dark stripes for her legs and scales for her body - and I canNot let that teardrop jewel design go #Oh and TVAU wings /are/ flat! Since they'd be animated in the same style as Kaiein and he's mostly 2D :)#I dunno hmm - it's hard to think of what features I'd give her that aren't just Her Outfit again #Probably it's the bon-bons that have me especially caught up they're just such a wonderful break between her torso and legs agh #Designed myself into a corner lol how do top or bottom half of design lol #As for the other two pfff |P Kaiein nonsense #Not irl at least lol minor blessings but still frustration! Went to middle school w Julian, they were both going to enter a private school but Bon (idk if I want to keep the name :/) simply "forgot" to do it and Julian had a mental breakdown during the entrance exams and failed it miserably. They don't talk as often now that they are in different classes

A bit cranky and feels like he's above everyone else, constantly squinting bc he's supposed to wear glasses but doesn't bc "it doesn't match his aesthetic"

I have wanted to discuss Dr. Slowmo with someone forever. Your post about Tharn was spot on, Tharn dives head first into the Doc's arms and closes his eyes. Now Tharn believes romantic love is a death sentence, so I always read it as platonic on Tharn's side but no less intense. More than that though Doc has been Tharn's friend, his therapist, his caretaker. I think Doc is Tharn's safe place which he has sorely lacked all his life only later to find out that Doc was the exact opposite. Thanks for listening to my TED talk!

as i was rewatching that scene i thought about my own irl friend group, which has been incredibly close for coming up on a decade now, and if ANYONE tried to convince me one of them had been lying to and manipulating me for the entirety of our relationship my response would be a swift ‘fuck you’ because what the hell would they know?

and you’re right, it doesn’t have to be romantic on tharn’s part for it to be one of the most important relationships in his life (of which, i would remind everyone, he has like. four. prior to canon)

this is just one of those situations where i think it's really easy for us as the audience to get frustrated with this character because OBVIOUSLY chalothorn is a bad dude! he's not even really being subtle about it!! how can tharn not see it!! and that's exacerbated by our filtering through phaya's pov. but yeah that moment outside the bar really hammered home to me that until that confrontation on the cliff tharn is completely, if somewhat willingly, blind to the doc's machinations. he's his friend, and tharn loves him
