I figured I'd write this for you all enjoy ahead of Gwynriel Week. I hope you enjoy it! 😉

Azriel is on his knees before Gwyn (the only woman he will ever get on his knees for) as she's loosely tied up to the headboard with the ribbon and shadows.

He leans in to bring her pleasure with his mouth as his hands reach up to fondle her breasts.

She feels safe, despite being tied down, because with the scars on his hands it reminds her it's Azriel who is the one wringing the pleasure from her.

She also knows she can break free at anytime as the shadows move to softly caress her body and Azriel continue his exquisite, pleasurable torture.

He whispers "Good Girl" as she comes apart beneath him and moans with absolute pleasure at the taste of her.

He then slides up the bed to untie the ribbon and wrap her in his arms. She softly drifts to sleep as he sings a song to her. He looks down and smiles at the peaceful look on her face and drifts off to sleep himself with contentment and love settling inside of him with his arms wrapped around Gwyn. 💖

I hate the Azriel is full of darkness..

The same dude who threw Feyre off the mountain to teach her to fly.

He jokes etc

Also he's obsessed with music.

Sings a a little tune.

Rolls his eyes at Cassian and Nesta and their activities.

Just because he was abused doesn't me he's lost to darkness.

Same way Gwyn is goofy and isn't just her trauma.

I would actually say Lucien and Elain both are more in tune with darkness.

Look at Lucien's life.

Elain seeing everything.

Yet everyone thinks both Lucien and Elain are okay

Azriel and Gwyn are already healing. They have a family and friends. They're getting close to each other. The darkness isn't there.

Lucien if getting better though is he. He had his friends

Elain has no one. Feyre wouldn't even consider going out with her.

She's a servant in the household.

Her only associates are servants too.

Nesta had her own family now like Feyre.

Elain really has nobody. She had Graysen. I still believe she was pregnant when she was in the cauldron.

I could see her friends with Jurian and Vassa. Though they're Lucien's friends.

I would love for her to be friends with Cressida and Tarquin. Thesan etc. Kallias too.

Lucien can't stand to be around her because he feels her pain.

Her family is overprotective. She is stuck to her gardens.

Azriel will not have the darkest story

Elain's going to have one of the darkest. I actually feel similar to Dorian. I have a feeling koschei is going to trap her.

Or she already is. And has accepted her fate.

I'm not saying someone else's trauma is more important.

All I'm saying is Azriel and Gwyn are healing already. Lucien maybe too.

Elain no. She's said no one sees her . She's just there. The bland personality even the fandom puts her on her.

I believe even before she turned fae. She had sadness. She hid it well.

Remember those that smile and make others happy. Usually have a hidden part. They don't share.

Every time I think about Gwynriel's book, I can't get their first intimacy out of my head. I can't stop thinking about how this is going to happen. But I know for sure that each of them will be as comfortable as possible, and they will have the highest level of trust in each other. It's worth any wait.🌚🌝✨

I saw this in a comment on Reddit & loved it so much that I just had to share it (with a few minor tweaks of my own)

Here's my thoughts on the necklace:

While it was tacky of Azriel to regift something (particularly a necklace) that he got for another woman.... he did so anonymously and just as a nice gesture. He didn't want to keep the necklace (which is understandable given it was a clear rejection on Elain part) and it showed that there was no real feelings attached to it, and more than likely no real feelings towards Elain as well given it was so easily regiftable.

I feel like the necklace was more so a metaphor Sarah used to show us the transition from Elain to Gwyn for Azriel, especially with how the bonus scene ends. I think that part is really important given what goes on there. He leaves the encounter with something sparking in his chest and an image comes to mind of Gwyn teal eyes lighting up upon receiving it. He then has to consciously erase the smile it brings to his face and he tucks that thought deep down where to glows quietly. A thing of secret, lovely beauty (which is ironically in the necklace description itself). He leaves that Clotho encounter thinking of another woman's eyes lighting up and it's joy that thought brings him, not negative feelings like how he had with his interaction with Elain.

This is why I think Sarah is going to keep Elain with Lucien and Gwyn is a new character that was introduced for Azriel. Because there was no need to include Gwyn and the transfer of the necklace if Elain wasn't going to end up with her mate, Lucien.

Gwyn was there at the end because she is Azriel true endgame. That's the true purpose of the bonus chapter and the necklace. It was to show and point us to Azriel true endgame. Not to set up a "forbidden romance" that would be the detriment to two characters, but to show us who would truly bring Azriel joy in the long run.

Azriel has had two bonus chapters so far -- and what did they share in common?

HOFAS bonus chapter: "And with each mile onward, she could hear Azriel humming softly to himself. The rolling, wild melody of "Stone Mother" flowed off his lips, and she could have sworn even the shadows danced at the sound."

ACOSF bonus chapter: "Azriel entered the warmth of the stairwell, and as he descended, he could have sworn a faint, beautiful singing followed him. Could have sworn his shadows sang in answer."

Still don't see it? Then let me ask you:

Who is Gwyn?

"Across the hushed, cavernous space, it was easy to hear Gwyn’s soft singing as she flitted from table to table..."

"Gwyn turned from the desk where Nesta had found the priestess singing softly to herself..."

"Gwyn’s voice soared like a bird through the cavern as she started the third song with a solo..."

Yes, she is a priestess-Valkyrie who sings.

And now, who is Azriel?

"Do you sing?"

He blinked. It wasn't every day that people took him by surprise, but... "Why do you ask?"

"They call you shadowsinger. Is it because you sing?"

"I am a shadowsinger -- it's not a title that someone just made up."

She shrugged again, irreverently. Az narrowed his eyes, studying her. "Do you, though?" she pressed. "Sing?"

Azriel couldn't help his soft chuckle. "Yes."

He's a shadowsinger... who also sings (a bit of a "duh" moment but pardon me, it's meant to be dramatic lol).

With how intense the ship wars are, and based on SJM's interview lives, I'll say she has a strong inkling that readers would be analyzing HOFAS -- in particular the bonus chapter centering on Azriel -- for clues on the next ACOTAR couple

Notice that she chose, yes she CHOSE, to highlight Azriel singing when we all know how music is Gwyn/Gwynriel's thing.

Gwyn is literally associated with music/singing the way Nesta is with dancing, Feyre is with painting and Elain is with flowers.

And I don't see any flowers in this bonus chapter.

What I do see, however, is Azriel sharing the same hobby as Gwyn, something that was purposely emphasized in this scene, and with SJM having said that she looks at compatibility for her couples... Well, I'm feeling pretty hopeful. More than hopeful, actually.

(Also kindly remember that Gwyn is a Carynthian (one of the only two females in history), which makes her Azriel's equal.)

Another thing of interest is that both Az's bonus chapters referenced his mate, but that's a juicy tidbit for another day.

Disproving the narrative of 'Azriel won't get his own book' + Who Will His Love Interest Be?

When asked if Azriel would get his own book... this was her answer:

In another live she mentions she knows who the next book is about but wouldn't mention if it was a male or female main character, but there will be a pegasus in it, and again she said it was pretty obvious!!

When she was asked a question about Azriel's shadows she had this to say:

"When it's time for HIS story to be told"

^All that proves Azriel will get his own book, in my opinion and..

As for who his love interest will be?

Well... this is her answer on characteristics that an enticing love interest would have...

Who is it that has Azriel feels a spark in his chest for in the bonus scene of HIS (which takes place between Ch.58/59 of ACOSF)? Gwyn.

Who is it that Azriel attention is fixed on more and more after feeling that initial spark in the bonus scene throughout the rest of ACOSF? Gwyn.

Who is it that has history with Azriel, as well as her own history left to still be explored? Gwyn. Reminder that Sarah wrote that Azriel was the one who saved her, slaughted the soldiers without hesitation, and even gave her his cloak to cover up with.

Who is it that can challenge Azriel and has bantered with him? Gwyn.

I also found this question in a live and her answer interesting when it comes to the Valkyries bracelets:

She went with her 'spiritual gut instinct' as to what colors she associates with the characters.

And in the scene with these three making the bracelets in Chapter 59?

Gwyn's bracelet: Blue, White, and Teal.

What do I think these colors could mean?

Blue for Azriel. Teal for Gwyn's eyes.

White for her powers (to compliment Azriel's darkness) or even when Gwyn does feel worthy of the Invoking Stone (which is also Blue). Gwyn even mentions this about the Invoking Stone in Chapter 15:

“It’s an Invoking Stone.” Gwyn unfurled her fingers, revealing the gem within her hand. “Similar to the Siphons of the Illyrians, except that the power of the Mother flows through it. We cannot use it for harm, only healing and protection. It was shielding us.”

And there is this to when Gwyn was holding the stone: It fluttered with light, like the sun on a shallow sea.

The Invoking Stone is similar to the Siphons of the Illyrians.... Gwyn has a Blue Invoking Stone that matches with Azriel's Siphons and the Invoking Stone is used for healing and protection, which is the perfect counterpart to Azriel killing...

Also, in regards to that earlier picture where she mentions the next book and a pegasus....

Who in ACOSF was most loved by a certain pegasus? Gwyneth Bedara (P.S. this was revealed during the ribbon cutting scene in Chapter 60, which I will post below, and again happens after the bonus scene takes place.)

"As if it had been following one path and now branched off in another direction" and "Right then and there. That's when it all changed." <--- This to me is Sarah telling us her plans changed and in this scene both the world and Azriel paused/stilled..... and he stilled as if aware that far larger forces peered into the ring as Gwyn moved.....

I think it's clear after reading ACOSF that Azriel will get his own book given how much he was prominent in it, and taking into account the bonus scene, and what happens after..... Sarah has shown us who his love interest will be.

These two will heal and grow, both individually and together, and I can't wait for their story to be told. 🥰❤🥰

Gwynriels and Eluciens getting upset because Elain and Azriel are what fans suspect will happen is silly. SJM said it was obvious. Lucien hasn’t had a POV and that should have been enough proof. Elain dislikes her mate. He even feels uncomfortable.

It’s not about Lucien’s happiness and it’s not about Gwyns.

Cliche is what SJM is known for, and I mean that in a good way. Elriel will happen.

Jasmine and Night Blooming Jasmine are two very different breeds of flowers. They look different and they SMELL different.

Jasmine, also from the screenshot above, is found in the olive family, Oleaceae. Night Blooming Jasmine is found in the Nightshade family, which also included potatoes. 🤭

So neither flower look the same, smell the same, or are even in the same family of plant. Night blooming ones aren’t even true Jasmines. So while yes bats are indeed attracted to NIGHT BLOOMING Jasmine, normal ol regular actual Jasmine is not included on that list. 😊

All of this to point out that Nesta says Elain smells like JASMINE and Honey. No where in any of the books is Elain described smelling like the night blooming kind. I checked. Some of y’all seem to think I don’t consult the books before I make some of these posts. You’d be wrong. I have worn out that search function on my kindle app to double check myself, lol. I also know how to use the Googles, clearly. 😊

Not sure where the narrative of Elain smelling like Night Blooming Jasmine came from but it's not canonically accurate. We don’t even get a scent profile for Elain until ACOSF. I know night blooming jasmine is mentioned in the books because I saw it in ACOMAF when I was searching but it was specifically attached to the Night Court from what I could tell, and nothing to do with Elain.

I think people are being disingenuous when they claim Gwynriel is a crack ship. Gwyn and Azriel are two characters who interact in the book, they have things in common/shared experiences (Sangravah, training, the blood rite), and Gwyn was included in Azriel’s bonus chapter in a positive light. A crack ship is one that is bizarre and extremely unlikely to ever be canon. For example: Mor and Lucien. It would be ridiculous and make zero sense. But to dismiss Gwynriel outright sounds like denial to me.
