Beach Competitions | Oikawa Tooru & Kuroo Tetsurou
Commissioned by @wertzunge
Tumblr media
A/N: final commission for Maaaaax! Max, thank you so much for your always kind support and for being so so kind and patient to me! You are an angel ❤️ I hope you enjoy this one! Thank you again!
Summary: Ah, the beach. The perfect place to relax and have a good time in peace and quiet... right?
Tumblr media
Oikawa watched the Nekoma team coming out from a van he thought was way too small and cramped for all of them to fit together. He heard his own teammates giggling and whispering to each other as they saw some of the tallest boys almost tripping on their way out, including Kuroo who yelled and even hit someone on the head out of pure embarrassment. Oikawa had to laugh too and he made sure to tease Kuroo about it through the whole day.
The sun was warm right above their heads. The sea breeze felt good on the skin sticky with sweat. The smell of watermelon mixed with the smell of salt, warm sand and sunblock. Both teams were opening umbrellas and tents, chatting happily, kicking sand between them to blind the other, and mingling together as a little improvised family. All the stress of the third years about graduation and the future was kept locked in a little box that would be opened later, when the daily routine began again.
Meanwhile, Oikawa made sure to enjoy his break to the fullest. He competed in a swimming race against Iwaizumi and Haiba Lev and both Seijoh players lost miserably against Lev’s long legs and arms. Oikawa also joined a funny conversation with Mattsun, Takahiro and Kai Nabuyaki. He was very surprised to see the Nekoma vice-president laughing so much at Mattsun’s jokes, he even apologized for how loud he was being.
Oikawa even timidly approached that little setter, wanting to share some advice and stuff, not before laughing his head off when he saw Kenma’s face and limbs completely white, covered in sunscreen. Kenma, although shy and quiet, did answer Oikawa questions and thanked him for his advice.
Oikawa did many things, but above them all… he challenged Kuroo in every single thing he could think of. Watermelon seed spitting, volleyball, a race, another swimming competition, even sandcastle building. Both captains did their best even when throwing a frisbee, and for everyone else it was a little fun to see them yelling at each other– or at least that was what Oikawa thought as he heard the other's laughter when he and Kuroo almost pulled their hair to prevent the other from reaching the finish line in their third consecutive race.
Unfortunately for Oikawa, each of these competitions ended in an embarrassing tie. No matter how much he sweated and how much his muscles ached, Kuroo always caught up with him. Oikawa hated that, but it also fired him up even more to have such a formidable rival. However, frustrated by the conclusions of his competitions with Kuroo, Oikawa jumped on him and thus began a wrestling match; wet, flushed bodies getting covered in sand with every pirouette they took on themselves, trying to pin the other down.
One moment Oikawa had the lead, but in the blink of an eye, Kuroo was yanking on his arm in a certain way, successfully throwing him to the ground, but then Oikawa would catch Kuroo's leg and turn him over to his original position with his back pressed against the sand.
“Stay still you damned cat!” He screamed, trying to put Kuroo in a necklock.
“You move away and just give up!” Kuroo would yell back and then a bunch of random screams and grunts would fill the air.
“Oi, you two!”
“Dammit!”
Just when Oikawa was going to set the perfect necklock to finally pin Kuroo down, Iwaizumi’s voice unfocused him and he quickly moved away from Kuroo to prevent a terrible and unfair loss to him.
“Iwa-chan!” Oikawa wined, dragging his tired and hot body towards the rest of the team. “I was about to win!”
“Ha!” Kuroo laughed sarcastically, also breathing heavily as he followed Oikawa. “You wish! I was clearly the one about to win!”
Iwaizumi rolled his eyes and Matsun, Makki, Kai Nabuyaki and Yaku Morisuke tried to keep from laughing as they gave them both a bottle of sport beverage.
“Yes, yes. Hey, we were thinking,” Iwaizumi said, pointing at the rest behind him. “We got an amazing challenge for you both. This will be the definitive one! Someone has to win, no matter what."
That made Oikawa and Kuroo's eyes shine with excitement.
“What is it?!” Oikawa asked, shaking Iwaizumi's shoulders.
“First, you both will be buried in the sand,” Yaku Morisuke purred and he pointed at two big holes in the sand, perfect for them to fit in. Oikawa frowned. They really had everything prepared, huh?
“Yaku, what are y'all planning?”
Yaku rolled his eyes and Oikawa thought him and Iwaizumi were so alike. “Shut up, Kuroo, and just get in. Or what? Are you a coward?”
Before he could even finish his sentence, Kuroo was already sitting comfortably inside the hole, Oikawa following suit.
When they started to bury them in the sand, Oikawa was thankful they chose a place with a nice shadow, at least it wouldn't be hot while doing whatever game they had in mind. The sand was refreshing against his warm skin, Oikawa thought he could fall asleep at any second. It was strangely comfortable and the sound of the waves lazily crashing against the shore surely lulled him into a peaceful state.
“Sleepy?” Makki asked him playfully and Oikawa grinned groggily. “You can step out, you know? And rest a bit.”
“That would mean that I admit that Kuroo Tetsurou beat me at something and I'm not going to allow it,” he said, loud enough for Kuroo to listen. “It's my honor at stake, Makki."
“Haha, just you wait, Oikawa. No matter what, I'll definitely win this one.”
“Don't be so sure,” both Yaku and Kai said and Oikawa couldn't help but feel a little nervous, seeing the playful look in their eyes.
Oikawa blinked, noticing that they were all buried now, only their head and feet sticking out. He tried to move, but he could barely do so under the weight of the sand. He got a bit more nervous, but still tried to act tough, although he could clearly see Kuroo was also sharing his feelings. Oikawa cleared his throat, but before he could say something, Mattsun spoke up.
“Okay, so this game will be easy… for us at least,” they chuckled and Oikawa felt his ears heating up, for some reason. “This is an endurance test. We'll be tickling you as best as we can. The first one to give up, will be the loser. The one that holds up the most, will be the winner. Easy right?”
“What?!” Both Kuroo and Oikawa yelled and their faces flushed. Any trace of sleep vanished at once.
They both knew that if they complained, it would mean that they were not brave enough to face this challenge, so they both decided to stay silent, or at least, without complaining about this silly and childish idea.
“It's fine,” Oilawa said, trying to look calm. “But why am I having three people to tickle me and Kuroo only two?”
“Hehe, are you jealous? You think you won't take it. You should give up now.”
Suddenly, a little blond head poked from behind Yaku and Kuroo gasped. “Kenma?!”
Kenma looked at him with disgust. Oikawa was wrong, he definitely was more like Iwaizumi. “I don't want to do this either, but I was forced to,” he said, crossing his arms above his chest.
“We hid his phone,” both Yaku and Kai grinned. And with that, they started to position themselves.
At his feet, Oikawa found Makki, Mattsun by his legs and Iwaizumi by his torso. Beside him, Kuroo was also being surrounded: Yaku at his feet, Kai at his legs and Kenma by his torso. Oikawa felt nervous flutters inside his tummy and his body started to tingle in anticipation. How would Mattsun and Iwaizumi tickle him if he was buried like this? He really didn't want to know.
“W-Wait, wait wait!” Kuroo begged, a trace of laughter already lacing to his words. “C-Can I at least laugh?”
“You both can laugh,” Iwaizumi explained calmly. “But if you tap out,  Oikawa will be the winner.”
“Keke,” Oikawa cackled mockingly. “Are you admitting you are more ticklish than me, Kuroo? You can give up already if you're so scared!”
“Now.” Oikawa gasped when something dragged up his left sole. His eyes widened when he saw Makki smirking at him with an eyebrow raised. Oikawa gulped. “You should keep your mouth shut for now, Oikawa.”
“H-Hmph!"
“Okay, are you guys ready?” Kai asked, grinning at both captains. “Your safe word is ‘watermelon’”
“So original… ouch!” Yaku whined.
“Okay. In three- now!”
“Hah?! What about two and– fuck!”
Kuroo laughed right away, Oikawa could hear his teammates making fun of him, teasing him about how ticklish he was and that he was definitely going to lose. Kuroo didn't even try to stop laughing, once the dam was broken, there was no coming back; Oikawa knew this very well, that was why he tried to hold back as best as he could, but the tickling to his feet was relentless.
Fingers brushed all along his soles, the sand sticking to his skin only making the sensation worsen, especially when the tickling moved under his toes. A reluctant, wobbly smile stretched his lips as Oikawa tilted his head back, tightly shutting his eyes.
“Hmm? Perhaps Oikawa will be able to win?” Makki said, wiggling his fingers between Oikawa’s toes, making him snort but still no laughter came from his mouth.
“Kuroo over there really is having a hard time, huh?” Mattsun giggled, and Oikawa imagined him looking at Kuroo with that teasy grin of his.
“Kuroo is the most ticklish person I know,” Yaku said, his fingers glued to the exact spot in Kuroo's feet that had him laughing nearly in hysterics. “I'm surprised he even agreed to this.”
“Well,” Iwaizumi said, making Oikawa jump when he poked his cheek. “It's not like we asked them, right?” The rest laughed, but Oikawa could barely hear them over his internal screaming.
“Oikawa is the most ticklish person we know,” Makki said, insistently wiggling his fingers under Oikawa's toes. “But he's holding himself very well.”
Could it really be said that he was ‘holding himself very well’? No matter how hard he tried to move his feet away from Makki's toes, Oikawa could barely move under the weight of the sand. His face was red and hot and it wasn't because of the sun, he was short of breath and if he dared to open his mouth, he knew that his loud and embarrassing laugh would escape.
Thankfully for him, (and Kuroo), the tickling suddenly stopped. They both went limp, breathing heavily and twitching slightly. A well deserved break-
“Just kidding!”
“AHAHAHA!”
Those bastards! Oikawa's laughter came out embarrassingly loud, even louder than Kuroo's. He didn't think Makki would start tickling him all over again– and he knew Yaku was also wrecking Kuroo all over again. Oikawa shook his head, feeling tears of laughter clinging to his lashes as he twisted his feet as best as he could, but it was all useless and his damn laughter wouldn't stop for even a second.
“Okay, time for stage two!”
“Whahahahat nohohow- ahahack! Nohohoho!”
Oikawa didn't notice when or how, but Mattsun on his side and Kai over Kuroo's had dug two holes in the sand around their thighs. The sudden warm touch of hands squeezing his muscles startled him and he squealed before falling into a louder laughing fit, if that was possible. Kuroo was not doing any better, but Oikawa couldn't tell anymore who was laughing the most and the hardest.
“It's a little higher,” Kenma mumbled, instructing how to properly tickle Kuroo's thighs. “It's the upper muscle- ah, right there.”
“KeheHEHEnmaha!”
Oikawa was nearly seeing stars. The safe word almost slipped out between his laughter, but no! He had to stay strong, there was no way Kuroo Tetsurou could win against h-
“AHAHAHAHA! Plehehehease not thehehere!”
“Hehe, time for stage three,” Iwaizumi said, giggling as he buried both hands into the sand. Another two holes directly above Oikawa's tummy. The clawing around his belly button was enough to have him in hysterics.
“KEHEHENMAHAHA! I hahahate yohohou!”
“And I hate your stupid laugh, give up already so I can have my phone back,” Kenma said as he found Kuroo's underarms under the sand. The poor Nekoma boy was losing it as Kai and Yaku giggled maliciously.
Oikawa suddenly thought that he and Kuroo were actually receiving some kind of punishment? It was true that they had been too loud and had accidentally pushed someone several times… He had been exceptionally annoying towards Iwaizumi, complaining about Kuroo all the time and dragging him into his silly games.
“WAHAHATERMEHEHELOHON!”
Yaku, Kai, Kenma, Makki, Mattsun and Iwaizumi all groaned loudly when both boys screamed the safe word at the same time. The tickling stopped and Oikawa and Kuroo were left breathless and laughing themselves silly.
“It seems our plan didn't work out. They'll keep being annoying.”
Oikawa heard them and when he could finally breathe almost normally, he looked over at Kuroo.
“Tr-Truhuce?”
Kuroo looked at him and nodded. “Tr-uce.”
“Hey, you both. It's time you guys stop– oh.”
Exhausted after all their competitions and the tickling on their most sensitive spots, Oikawa and Kuroo finally succumbed to sleep. The other boys laughed and sighed in relief. At the very least, everyone would have a break for at least an hour!

Kenma x Kuroo (romantic)
Lee: Kenma
Ler: Kuroo
Warnings: Tickles!
___________________________________________
After a long day of work, what better way to unwind than by having your boyfriend snuggle on your lap while they play videogames? Kuroo could think of a few things. To be honest, he wanted Kenma’s attention, but when blondie was in gamer mode, no god on this earth could stray him from his path. Well… thinking back, there was always a way to get stubborn Kenma away from his game.
The signature cheshire smirk graced Kuroo’s lip as he tightened his hold around Kenma’s waist. He then took a deep breath and…
“GAH! PFFT! KUROO NOHOHO!” his gaming device went flying off his hands as Kenma’s whole body jolted aggresively.
“Aww, still ticklish KenKen?~”
“Don’t call me that- EEP! WAHAIT! STYAHAHAHAP!” the half blonde threw his head back, which frankly inly made it easier for Kuroo to keep nibbling at the sensitive skin of his neck.
It was no secret how ticklish Kenma was, it was a prominent trait all throughout childhood. But Kuroo is the only one to know just how much mouth tickles affect him in particular.
“Oh? Then how about here then?~” the rooster head’s teeth grazed along Kenma’s earlobe, earning a dramatic gasp.
“T-THAT’S STILL SO BAHAHAD- AH KUROO‼” Kenma screeched in ticklish glee as he was suddenly pinned on his back, with a smug Kuroo staring down at him with a thirst for more.
“H-hold up! Can’t wehe talk about this?!” the shorter male spewed out through nervous giggles. Even without being touched, he was already a flustered mess.
“Less talking, more laughing~” Kuroo leaned down, his hands latching onto his boyfriend’s sides while he kissed and nibbled that sweet spot below Kenma’s ear, close to his neck. With wiggling fingers and kisses attacking him, Kenma could only do one thing.
“BAHAHA! K-KUROO! YOU AHAHASS! S-STAHAHAP! I CAHAHAN’T!” Kenma’s face was as red as his old volleyball uniform. His brain slowly turning to mush as the overwhelming ticklish sensation drowned him in giddy pleasure.
“But honeyyy, you’re so cute and ticklish~”
At Kuroo’s tease, Kenma let out a high-pitched squeal through his already hysterical laughter. It wasn’t long until his body started to grow tired and stopped trying to squirm away. His laughter dying down to soft hiccups.
“Ahaha- *hic* Kuroo, please..!”
At the cute, breathless whine from his boyfriend, Kuroo finally relented. Opting to lay beside him and hold him close to his chest.
“Better, princess?~”
“Shut up…” Kenma’s voice grew muffled as he burried his face against the taller one’s chest, but Kuroo certainly caught the smile left on his face. Yes, nights were meant to be spent like this.

That Darn Cat
Author's Note: So sorry for the very, very, very late upload and me being almost nonexistent on this website. In short, a bunch of life changes happened, and I 1000% don't get paid enough to do as much work as I have to do.
Thanks for being so patient with me. This a sequel to Wow Fantasstic Baby and is a product of my brain just going feral. If that what it takes to write fics, then that's what it is, I guess.
Tagging @myreygn @otomiya-tickles @ticklishfanart and a special shoutout to @parker-fluff for being my test subject to @italeean (I hope this is a nice wake up call Elle).
It was no secret that Tsukishima was an observant person. Both on and off the court, his teammates and friends know that although he doesn’t say much, he’s always watching and thinking. Thus, it came to no one’s surprise that he had picked up on a substantial amount of Kuroo’s likes, dislikes, routines, and habits in the few months they had been dating.
Despite the latter’s mess of a hairstyle, Tsukishima had found that he loves running his fingers through Kuroo’s hair and scratching at the base of Kuroo’s neck; his boyfriend, of course, loves it too. He adores the way Kuroo melts into his touch and how Kuroo hums under his breath, recording these little moments in his heart to be played over and over again until the day comes when he can’t remember.
Tsukishima isn’t the kind of person for grand gestures. He shows his love through small, handcrafted gifts made from the leftover scraps from Yamaguchi’s many art projects, daily updates about what he’s doing, sending pictures, finding scented candles that remind him of his loved ones, and reminders about important dates like quizzes and doctor’s appointments.
But lately, Tsukishima notices that the third year’s replies to text messages and phone calls decrease in frequency. It’s not as if he doesn’t understand. Third years have college entrance exams, plus his duties as a volleyball captain with a team going to nationals. He has his own exams and volleyball practice to attend to. Sure, he wants Karasuno to beat Nekoma if given the chance, but he plans on giving his boyfriend a needle-felt cat and maybe a kiss, no matter the outcome.
Instead of mourning the time he’s losing and whining to his boyfriend to pay attention to him, he finds himself worried about Kuroo because he knows that trying too hard not to let go is like trying to hold onto wet sand. And, yet part of him is still insecure because this is his first relationship, and he’s terrified of messing everything up. He has a small but strong support system, but they’re people who know the deeper parts of him that he hides behind walls.
After blurting these fears out loud on accident while talking with Kenma to double-check if his observations are correct, Tsukishima finds himself with a free bus ticket to Tokyo. During the many hours it takes to get from Miyagi to Tokyo, he can’t help but think he’ll see a side of Kuroo that he’s never seen before.
Regardless, he wants the latter to open up to him and show him every side, the bad, the sad, the ugly, the calm, the cheerful, and everything in between. In time, he hopes to do the same.
This afternoon, on the rare day that Kuroo takes a break from studying, his boyfriend is practically sprawling on top of Tsukishima’s lap while Tsukishima runs his fingers through the former’s hair.
“I want, uh, want to do something for you,” Tsukishima says, his face heating up a little as he breaks the silence in the room.
“Hmm?” Kuroo mumbles in response, “But you already do so much for me, love.”
Tsukishima debates hiding his face behind his hands. He absolutely adores how Kuroo still makes him feel like a giddy little kid, as surprising as it is to imagine him that way (Yamaguchi won’t stop making fun of him, not that he minds).
“I know…” He takes a deep breath and leans down to plant a kiss on the back of Kuroo’s neck. “You’ve been really stressed lately, and I just want to help relieve your pain in any way I can.”
Kuroo pushes himself up on his forearms so he can look Tsukishima in the eye. Kuroo’s gaze is filled with such warmth and understanding that Tsukishima falls in love with him over and over again. No matter Tsukishima’s limited and feeble attempts to comfort his boyfriend, Kuroo always treats him with such kindness and grace, letting him warm up at his own speed. He admits that opening up again is hard, but he’s willing to do it for Kuroo.
“All right. What do you want me to do, then?”
Tsukishima bites his lip. Okay, maybe he hasn’t thought this through enough. He tries to think of something, anything that he can do to erase the tension lines in his lover’s face and the stiffness in his lover’s shoulders, until a small voice in the back of his mind has him fighting back a smirk. “Can you lie down on your stomach?”
“Like this?” Kuroo asks, stretching himself out on Tsukishima’s bed with his arms crossed over his head.
Tsukishima slings his right leg over Kuroo’s body and sits down on his butt.
“Ooh. I think I’m going to like this.”
This time Tsukishima actually smirks now that Kuroo can’t see him. He expects his boyfriend to squirm or even at least twitch when he squeezes Kuroo’s sides. What he doesn’t expect is to hear a loud shriek followed by rapid giggling. “I’m just trying to give you a back massage, darling. Won’t you be good and stay still for me?”
The only response he gets is a shaky fuck off.
“Tch. I guess someone better teach this naughty cat a lesson.” He grins at the way Kuroo immediately starts squirming at his words. “Oh? The flirty tom cat can’t take what he dishes out. Don’t worry, I’ll teach you to behave.”
Okay.
Tsukishima knows he should feel a little guilty, but his boyfriend’s squeaks and snorts of protest as his drums his fingers on Kuroo’s sides. But he loves the way the latter shakes his head from side to side, making his bed hair even messier than usual. Scratch that, he kind of loves everything about the figure cackling even harder than Tsukishima had been before when he skitters up Kuroo’s ribs.
“Naaahaahahat there,” the latter begs, trying to grab Tsukishima’s hands.
Kuroo fails every time.
“Hmmmmm?” he says while alternately poking each side of his lover’s ribs just to see him jump. “Then…how about here?”
The cackling gets replaced by a long howl that’s almost painful to his ears.
Good.
He snickers. “Attention neighbors of this small apartment with hopefully thick walls, I need to report a murder. Cause of death some fingers resting on a set up very, very, very ticklish underarms.”
Leaning down next to Kuroo’s left ear, Tsukishima asks, “Left, right or both.”
And he thought his boyfriend was a little sadistic when Tsukishima was getting tickled the last time.
“FUUHUCK,” Kuroo screams, his arms clamped to his sides.
“Oh, it can’t be that bad. I’m not even doing anything.” Tsukishima squints at the shiny dot on his lover’s face. “Wait? Is that a tear I see?”
Kuroo whines.
Tsukishima, with some strength he didn’t even know he had, flips the latter over and pins Kuroo’s hands over his head. “Nope. That absolutely won’t do. I want to see that cute face of yours.”
It takes everything in him not to coo at his boyfriend on the spot as he looks down with a soft smile on his face. Kuroo’s face is flushed, more so than any match he’s seen him in. He relishes the way Kuroo tries in vain to hide his face in his arms. Even the bright red color of his ears matches his face.
Kuroo is so hot like this.
Another squeak of protest breaks the silence.
Tsukishima’s smirk returns at the sound. “Sounds like someone is a fan of that.”
“Nohohoooo.” Kuroo replies, now giggling and squirming from anticipation.
“Now, raise your arms above your head and keep them there.”
“WHAT,” his lover squawks, mouth agape.
He plants a kiss on Kuroo’s forehead. “You heard me love. Or…do I need to do something a little more drastic?”
“I-Ihii…whaaa…?” Kuroo replies, his face growing redder and redder by the second.
“Cat got your tongue? Don’t worry I have an even better idea for you.” He uses one hand to pin both of his lover’s wrists and uses the other hand to grab the latter’s chin so they’re looking at each other. “Please move dow-no, you will move down so I can sit on those pesky arms of yours.”
Somehow Kuroo’s face grows even redder at the command but scoots down like he’s told, albeit while glaring at Tsukishima. Nope. Tsukishima is definitely not proud of himself for that one. Not at all.
Turning around, yet still keeping a strong grip on Kuroo’s wrists, he uses his right leg to pin his boyfriend’s right arm and his left leg to pin his boyfriend’s left arm until he’s more or less just kneeling on them. “Yes…Yes, this is much better,” he says with a low hum that rumbles in his chest.
Kuroo pouts up at him. It’s so fucking adorable that Tsukishima wants to take a picture, so he does as the former only pouts harder at the action. “You don’t want to bully your poor boyfriend, do you? You wouldn’t do something like this to him, would you?”
“Sorry, dear.” He uses his right hand to massage circles onto the base of Kuroo’s neck. The all-familiar hum follows as he moves up the back of the latter’s head and kneads on his scalp.
Once Kuroo is sufficiently relaxed, he digs a single finger into the center of Kuroo’s right underarm. His lover almost leaps off the bed with a high-pitched squeal. It’s music to his ears.
“SHIHIIT,” Kuroo screams before breaking into desperate laughter and flopping around like a fish out of water.
“Now you’re just being dramatic,” Tsukishima teases, “It’s just one little finger. How bad could it be?”
“IIIHIIT’S BAAHAHAD." His boyfriend’s legs wave back and forth in a frantic matter, reminiscent of something straight out of a horror movie.
Kuroo has many sides, sides that Tsukishima has yet to see, but he thinks this might be his favorite. In everyday life, both on and off the court, his lover is calm, cool, and poised. This side of Kuroo is a wild beast he can’t wait to tame. He wants to learn which buttons he can push, and perhaps what his boyfriend will do in return.
“Hmm? I don’t know. I think you can get more desperate than this. I guess we’ll just have to see, then.”
“FUUHUCK OFFF!” Kuroo tries to hiss but it ends up sounding like the high-pitched sound of a tea kettle going off.
Tsukishima settles into a rhythm. Alternating between left and right with a single finger right in the center has Kuroo practically wailing. Spidering around the edges until little hiccups and snorts start to filter through his lover’s laughter. Raking his fingers from the middle of Kuroo’s ribs up to the bottom of his biceps makes him blubber and babble like a brook filled with rocks of all shapes and sizes.
And, once Kuroo almost gets used to the pattern, he wiggles all five fingers into each underarm which has the former straight up screaming like he’s being murdered.
After the nth round of this routine, because Tsukishima has all but forgotten…oops, Kuroo’s begging and pleading becomes incoherent.
“FUUHUHUUU! NGHHHH! NAAAAA MOHORE!”
“Really, more?” Tsukishima asks. “Don’t forget, you asked for this.”
Tears stream down his boyfriend’s face as his laughter finally goes silent. “I…c…an’t…”
“Okay. Okay. I think you’ve had enough, silly,” Tsukishima replies with a chuckle, crawling off Kuroo’s arms and helping the latter sit up. Biting his lip, he says, “I didn’t take it too far, did I?”
“What!” Kuroo squawks, waving his hands in front of his chest and then covering his face with his hands. “No. no. I…uh…kindoflikedit.”
Oh.
Oh.
“Say it again.”
Kuroo tries to hide his face in his hands again. “Nooooo,” he whines. “You already heard it once. I’m not saying it again.”
“Oh come on,” Tsukishima says, bending down to give his boyfriend another kiss, “Be good and tell me again, clearly this time. I want to hear every word.”
Another sound akin to a wheezing kettle comes out of his lover’s mouth. “Oh. My. God. You can’t just say stuff like that.”
 “But I can, and I will,” Tsukishima replies. He could get used to this. Kuroo all flustered for him. “Now say it.”
“Nooooooo.”
“I’m waiting.”
“...Fine.” Kuroo takes a deep breath. “I. Liked…it.”
 “Well…I guess that makes two of us, then,” Tsukishima peppering Kuroo’s face with kisses until his boyfriend is giggling.
“As long as I get to get my revenge, of course.” Kuroo reaches over to squeeze Tsukishima’s thigh just to hear him squeak.
If he was a different person, he would be pouting, but he settles on prying his lover’s hands away from his face and planting a kiss upon his lips.
“But…We need a safe word or something, so we know for sure if we go too far,” Kuroo says after their lips part, his voice coming out more breathy than normal.
“Mhmm. Yeah. I don’t want to actually kill my boyfriend.”
Kuroo glares back at him in a playful manner. “Based on today, you’re sure as hell going to get as close to that as possible.”
“You love me anyways,” Tsukishima replies while pulling Kuroo into his arms.
“Yeah. Yeah, I do.”

[Drabble Reupload] - The requested IwaKage drabble, recovered thanks to the wonderful @wertzunge! Warning, this was probably written around 2016/2017, very old, very bad. Hope you still like it anon!
Tumblr media
“Pfft… hey, wake up, you’re tickling me…!” Kageyama huffed when a certain tingly feeling around his stomach area woke him up. He was tangled up in Iwaizumi’s embrace as the small spoon, with Iwaizumi hugging him from behind and both his hands positioned on Kageyama’s bare stomach beneath his shirt.
A comfortable position, until Iwaizumi had started to move his fingers around, enough to tickle Kageyama out of his precious sleep.
“Hmmphh...” Iwaizumi replied in his sleep, not even waking up because of Kageyama’s giggly protests and his squirming movements.
No, he increased the movements of his fingers.
“I-Iwaha-stop!” Kageyama threw his head back, colliding with Iwaizumi’s shoulder and he arched his back, but Iwaizumi’s fingers skittered their way up his bare abs, wiggling, scratching and feeling around curiously.
He had always known Iwaizumi was a deep sleeper, but this was just insane.
“Wake uhup I c-can’t sleep like thihis!” Kageyama whined, and even though he continued to squirm, he knew he was helpless against Iwaizumi’s strong grip.
“PFahah-H-Hahajime!” Kageyama cackled, and he arched up again, his arms helplessly moving around in order to fight off his tickly boyfriend. But to no avail.
Even while sleeping, Iwaizumi was just too strong. “Stoohohop!” Kageyama whined, and he gazed at the alarm clock. Still only 4 in the morning. Shit, he had a looog way to go… Once morning light came, and Iwaizumi’s beautiful eyes opened, Kageyama was a mess.
“Hey. Goodmorning,” Iwaizumi hummed, still oblivious, and he gulped when Kageyama turned his head towards him, showing the bags under his eyes and his flushed cheeks. His heaving body was shaky from laughing and giggling so much, and his arms were hanging weakly beside his body, having given up their fight one hour ago already.
“What happened?” Iwaizumi asked, and he gulped when Kageyama tightly gripped his hands which were still positioned on Kageyama’s waist - the tickle spot he had been exploiting the last couple of minutes before he woke up.
“Nothing!” Kageyama growled, throwing off Iwaizumi’s hands so he could finally sit up and gather his breath, his body still felt tingly all over and his muscles ached from laughing and squirming so much.
“You’re unbelievable,” he panted, and he failed to climb out of bed due to his exhaustion, and he fell back next to his boyfriend who yawned and stretched out with a content smile.
“Looks like you had a tough night, love. Hey but guess what? I actually dreamed I tickled you to death, and you loved it,” Iwaizumi said lovingly while he nuzzled the back of Kageyama’s neck.
“Huh?!” Kageyama lifted his head momentarily before collapsing again, making tired and whiny noises.
“Care to make this reality for me?” Iwaizumi said, and Kageyama’s eyes widened and he sputtered in protest when his lover was climbing over him already.
“N-No you see- while you were asleep you acutally -nohoho Iwahahaizumi let me tahahalk! Not agaain!” And still not knowing he already wrecked his poor boyfriend during his lovely dream, Iwaizumi once again took the pleasure of tickling Kageyama into a laughing mess.

Raise the Bar (Haikyuu!!)
Primary Universe
Summary: Bokuto catches Kageyama doing pull-ups and decides to have a little fun with him. Ft. Akaashi.
A/N: An anon had requested this for my 3k raffle event last year that ended up getting cancelled, but I did write it anyway, so here it is. This is for you, anon, whoever you were. Enjoy!
Word Count: 1,524
~~~
“Look at this guy, trying to show off how strong he is!”
Kageyama dropped to the floor, startled, and turned to see Bokuto and Akaashi from Fukurodani approaching him. He was surprised it wasn’t Hinata – that little tangerine idiot seemed to find him everywhere – but he wasn’t complaining, either.
“I’m not trying to show off,” he replied, turning to face them both fully, one hand still on the pull-up bar he’d been using in the doorway to the gym.
He was one of many, many volleyball players throughout the prefecture who had been invited to a giant, all-inclusive party/sleepover to celebrate the end of the season and upcoming third-years’ graduations. Said sleepover was being hosted by Fukurodani, so theirs was the gym they’d be using to eventually crash in later. Right now Kageyama just wanted to burn off some excess energy. He thought he’d slipped away without notice, but no such luck.
Bokuto nodded at the pull-up bar. “How many can you do?”
“Uh, I don’t know. Twenty? Thirty?” Kageyama honestly didn’t know.
“You’ve never counted?”
“We don’t really do pull-ups at Karasuno.”
Akaashi stood off to the side with his hands in his pockets, watching the interaction with his usual detached interest. “Neither do we. He’s just being a dork.”
“I am not!” Bokuto whined, then flashed a grin at his former rival. “Well, don’t let us stop you. Continue showing off for us, Tobio!”
Kageyama blinked. He was called by his first name so rarely it threw him a little, but more than that, he wasn’t sure he wanted to get back to it now that he had an audience.
“I was, uh…just wrapping up,” he said, finally letting his other hand drop.
“Liar. You just can’t handle the pressure of being watched, can you?”
“I can!” the setter retorted, gripping the pull-up bar once again, falling easily and swiftly into the obvious trap Bokuto had set for him.
The ace snickered to Akaashi. “First-years, am I right?”
“Don’t be a jerk,” Akaashi muttered back, smacking him.
“Oww! I’m not; I just want to have a little fun. This is a sleepover, you know. These things were made for chaos to reign.”
Kageyama was four or five pull-ups in when he suddenly felt fingers grasping his waist, digging into his hips, making him sputter out a laugh and nearly tumble all the way to the floor. As it was, it took substantial effort for his legs not to give out on him when he landed back on his feet and whirled around again, blushing furiously. “W-What was that for?!”
“Just seeing if you could handle the pressure, big guy,” Bokuto teased, wiggling his fingers at him playfully.
Kageyama both loved and hated how much the sight of wiggling fingers made his insides do backflips and somersaults in all kinds of excited ways. He shivered, but in the back of his mind he was panicking a little. Did Hinata say something? No, surely not. He was crazy, but he wouldn’t go around announcing something like this to the world without permission. This had to just be a random attack on Bokuto’s part.
“What’s the matter? Flustered, Tobio?” the ace teased again, lunging forward suddenly like he was going to attack only to come up short. It didn’t stop Kageyama from letting out a shriek and stumbling back a few steps, already covering his stomach and giggling a little. Bo’s grin was predatory. “Oho~ Gotcha to show your hand, didn’t I? Now I know where you’re really ticklish!”
Kageyama knew his face had to be scarlet by now. “L-Leave me alone.”
His words came out sounding half-hearted at best, and Bokuto picked up on that instantly. He laughed. “What, not gonna try to prove me wrong? Get back to your pull-ups, Tobio. I’ll bet you a taco from that place down the street you’ll let go of the bar if I start tickling you again.”
“I…I don’t—”
“Two tacos!”
Kageyama hesitated. He didn’t care about any special tacos, but if he was honest, he was kind of curious to see how long he could last now that Bokuto was challenging him directly. Plus, seeing those fingers had put him into an immediate lee mood, so…
“I can hold on,” he managed at last, mustering up his best defiant smirk. “Watch me.”
Bokuto motioned for him to just get on with it already, grinning, clearly just as eager to get started.
The Karasuno setter gripped the pull-up bar, suddenly feeling very exposed under Bokuto’s intense stare. Still, he started to lift himself up, and that’s when the ace attacked.
“Pfff – nohohohohoho!” Kageyama squealed, dropping back onto the ground and using one hand to push him away, the other still holding onto the bar – barely. “No fahahahahair!”
“You let go, Tobio~” Bokuto teased, scribbling his fingers across his friend’s belly. “Too ticklish to take it, huh?”
“It’s ohohonly one hahahand!” Kageyama protested.
“Ha! All right, I’ll let this one slide since I didn’t specify. But get that hand back up there and don’t move either of them, or you’ll be buying me tacos!”
Shakily, Kageyama did as he was told, heart racing with excited anticipation for what was to come next. As soon as his fist closed around the bar, Bokuto went back to tickling his belly, and the setter went back to cackling at the contact.
“Heh, got a ticklish tummy, hmm?” the ace cooed. He glanced over his shoulder at Akaashi. “Yo, you’re missing out on the fun! Get in here and help me, dude!”
Akaashi had been observing their exchange up to this point, noticing how Kageyama hadn’t backed away or flinched at all at the mention of tickling – something that would spur everyone else he knew to run away or fight back or literally anything else besides just let it happen. He’d concluded that the setter must enjoy it to some extent, and as long as that was the case, he was willing to join when the invitation was extended to him.
Soon Kageyama had tickling fingers scribbling and scratching across his belly and his ribs and up into his underarms, and it was getting increasingly more difficult to hang onto the bar instead of fight back. It reminded him in a way of being in Hinata’s “tickle zone,” though with slightly different stakes attached.
“I’ll admit, I’m impressed, Tobio,” Bokuto chuckled, watching his friend’s face contort with happiness, his cheeks flushed and hair mussed and overall looking like he was having a great time. “Didn’t think you’d last a minute, let alone two. You must like this, huh?”
“He must,” Akaashi confirmed before Kageyama could defend himself. “Otherwise he’d have bolted the moment you wiggled your fingers at him. Right?”
Kageyama could do nothing but nod through his laughter, his arms shaking from the effort to keep them above his head.
“Cute.” Bokuto smiled, stepped back for a moment, and cracked his knuckles. “But I gotta find a way to break you somehow.”
“Aiehehehehehehe! Wahahahahahait!” Kageyama pleaded for the first time when the ace targeted his thighs next, getting dangerously close to a spot that would bring him down quite literally whether he had the willpower to take it or not. “P-Plehehehehease, I gihihihive up! You wihihihihin!”
Bokuto laughed. “Oh yeah? Then why are you still holding onto that bar?”
Kageyama didn’t have a chance to reply, because that was the moment fingers dug into the backsides of his knees and his legs gave out on their own accord.
Once he was on the floor, Bokuto and Akaashi both pounced on him, both grinning, both tickling wildly now that the competition portion of their attack was behind them. Kageyama squealed and threw his head back with laughter, squirming and batting weakly at their arms.
“Okay, okahahahahahay!” he begged after another minute of playful torture. “I gihihihihive! Plehehehehease, stohohohohohop! No more!”
At Akaashi’s urging, the two of them let up as requested, letting the Karasuno setter catch his breath and giggle out a few leftovers, hugging his torso as he sat upright.
Bokuto poked his chest teasingly. “Feeling good, Tobio?”
Kageyama blushed but nodded all the same. “Y-Yeah. Thanks for…well…” he waved at the pull-up bar, indicating the bet that had started them down this path of random, spontaneous fun. “You know.”
“For the tickling?” Akaashi piped up, scoffing good-naturedly. “You’re welcome.”
“Well, I think it’s safe to say that bet was a draw,” Bokuto said, stretching as he got to his feet, “so why don’t we just go Dutch on those tacos tomorrow for lunch?”
Kageyama took their offered hands and stood back up as well. “Heh…sure. Just don’t tell Hinata.”
“Why not bring him along? It can be the four of us!”
The setter considered. He thought about what would happen if he admitted to his best friend what had just gone down here, and how Hinata might be mock offended that he wasn’t around to see it, and how that might start a whole other round of tickling, and…
He grinned, already eager to go find that boke and tell him everything. “All right. I’ll let him know."
Getting Pushed Off the High Horse (Haikyuu!!)
Tumblr media
Soooooooooooo... hi everyone! It's been a while since I've posted a fic, and I deeply apologize! Life has been busy so hoping on the computer and writing is kind of a hard task, I'm sure some of you can relate. And don't worry, I'm still working on that lee!Hobie fic, but after that's posted I might stop with the Spiderverse fics for a while. I still love the movies, but I've ran out of tickle fic content for that certain fandom. So I'll try posting something new! Hence this fic! I've been a fan of Haikyuu for a while and started watching it again *shoves down at least 50 animes I've been putting on the back burner* Okok I've been rambling now, so here you go! Enjoy! :3
“Hell yeah! That spike was even better than my last one! Eat my dust Akaashi! Woo!” was what Bokuto was currently shouting at his teammate.
It was very uncaptain-like, but his friends knew him well to know that this was a common occurrence. Whenever the team practiced together, Bokuto’s gloating personality shone. Akaashi didn’t mind the showboating, he honestly didn't. But today was not the day.
First, he woke up 30 minutes late to school, had to make up an exam in his first period, spilled his lunch all over himself, read a passage wrong in his English class and got laughed at, found out he failed that first period exam, got a C on another exam, got fussed at for sleeping in class, and accidentally packed his dirty uniform rather than a clean one for practice, so he stunk really bad. Out of all the days the gods wanted to test him, this was the day. And Bokuto was no help. In fact, he was the one that caused Akaashi to spill his lunch. He apologized… but not after he cackled like a lunatic! He even threatened to make ‘soup crotch’ his new nickname. A ‘don’t you fucking dare’ look ended that threat quick and Bokuto even offered some clean clothes he had. Which was surprising since… well, since it’s Bokuto.
And now, after that extra mean spike Bokuto just served, Akaashi’s anger was near its boiling point. He glared at his captain from the other side of the next, wanting so badly to wipe that smug smirk off of his stupid face. Bokuto caught on and had some shit to talk.
“Oooh, is someone mad he can’t block my spikes? You should have gotten used to it by now~ Isn't losing to me your strong point? Since you’ve been losing to me ever since we met, I thought you would have rolled over and accepted your fate already~” Bokuto purred, snickering when Akaashi’s glare grew sour. The ravenette responded with a quick, “Shut up, owl.”
“Don’t let him get in your head!” Konoha shouted. Akaashi shook his head and tried to focus. But today’s events just kept piling up every time he looked at Bokuto’s stupid, annoying face. He took a deep breath in and exhaled in an attempt to calm himself. As soon as these practices were over, he could go home. He just wanted to go home.
Washio served the ball and the game was in motion. After the back and forth tosses, Bokuto took his stand.
“Pass it to me!” he called. Akaashi kept eyes on his friend, watching the ball spin in the air towards him. He watched as the ace readied himself then ran to the net, Akaashi right in front of him. They jumped at the same time, Akaashi ready to block. Bokuto had a mischievous twinkle in his eyes, one his best friend could spot a mile away. Then, there was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
“Take THIS, soup crotch!!!” Bokuto’s scream echoed across the gym as the sound of the ball slamming on the court followed suit. When they landed, Akaashi struck. He immediately ducked under the net and tackled the older boy to the court. Surprised, Bokuto let out an undignified squeal before bursting into maniacal laughter. He guarded his head as Akaashi attempted to collide his fists to the other’s shitty hair. He wasn’t trying to seriously injure, he would never go that far, but a few bruises wouldn’t kill the ace.
“I! Told! You! To! Shut! Up!” Akaashi growled between blocked hits. Bokuto just laughed and laughed as he grabbed Akaashi’s wrists and held them up.
“Hahaha! Looks like soup crotch can’t take the teeeasiiiing~” Bokuto just had to keep it up. Akaashi’s eyes burned bright with a murderous fire. Without knowing what else to do, Akaashi ripped his arms from Bokuto’s grip and shoved them into his armpits. That probably wasn’t the best idea since his pits were extremely sweaty, and because Bokuto decided to show everyone his best rodeo bull impression.
Bokuto proceeded to shoot his arms to his sides and hug his chest, cackling hysterically as his friend attacked a particularly bad spot. Their teammates watched on with exasperated yet understanding smiles. And plus, they didn’t dare intervene. Not when Akaashi’s face looked like he was happily skinning his prey alive.
“Yeah, yeah! Nothin’ to say now, huh? Huh? You were all big talk not one second ago, where did that talk go? Where did it go Bokuto?! You shut up real quick when someone gets a few tickles in, don’tcha? Come on, tease me again! One more jab, one more mock, one more word I dare you!” Akaashi bellowed with a sadistic smile on his face. Bokuto howled with mirth as he rocked side to side, kicking his feet to try and lessen the tickly feeling somehow.
“BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! A-AKAASHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHI! NAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA! EHEEHEEHEE- GAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!” screamed Bokuto. He could never handle tickles well, his friends knew this. Even a squeeze to his side would send him through the roof. But this was plain ol’ mean. Akaashi knew his weak spots better than anyone, and how to tickle just right so Bokuto ends up crying.
“Oh nuh-uh! You deserve this, you bastard! How are you able to read the court, but not your friend?! Why do you have to be so. Damn. Annoying?!” Akaashi growled as he now focused on Bokuto’s ribs, alternating between his massaging technique and his clawing technique. The poor ace finally managed to roll onto his stomach, but somehow, not being able to block out the tickles from behind made him even more ticklish.
“REEHEEHEEHEEEEE!! AKA-AKAAHAHAHAHAHAHASHI! SAHAHAHAHAHAHAHARRY! I’M SAHAHAHAHAHAHAHARRY!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! IT'S JUST- BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! IT’S SOHOHOHOHOHOHO EHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEASYYYYY! REEEEEEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEEEE!” Bokuto cried. He attempted to crawl away, but Akaashi kept him down by laying his shin over the small of his back. The rest of the Fukurodani team, who decided to take a water break since this might take a minute, laughed from the sidelines.
“Oh my god, he sounds like Scooby Doo!” One of them remarked. The others cracked up even louder, joined their voices with Bokuto’s in the echoing gym. Akaashi himself couldn’t stop himself from smiling earnestly either. Bokuto was a dummy, that fact wasn’t to be argued with. But at least he was a loveable dummy. Even when he’s more aggravating than sin. All the teases and jabs he made to Akaashi were all friendly. He didn’t have a sinister bone in his body. He probably thought that he was cheering up the setter, so no harm was truly intended. Such a moron, Akaashi thought to himself.
“Apologize! Or else!” Akaashi demanded, pausing the tickling and placing his hand on the back of Bokuto’s thigh. Bokuto flipped himself on his back with a panicked scream.
“I’M SORRY!!!! I’m sorry for calling you soup crotch! And for making you spill the soup! And for hitting those nasty spikes! Please please please please have mercy Akaashi!” Bokuto begged. Akaashi smirked and stood up, putting his hands on his hips.
“That’s right dumbass. Learn to cheer your friend up in different ways.” Akaashi was about to walk away when he felt Bokuto’s weak hand clasp his shorts. The ace panted heavily and gulped a few times, wanting to say something but unable to get it out just yet. Akaashi rolled his eyes fondly and waited.
“Aka- *gulp* Akaashi… *pant pant pant* Let’s stop by a store… *pant pant* and get… *gulp* meat buns? I’ll *pant* pay…!” Bokuto asked. The setter looked at him surprised, then smiled and nodded.
“That’s fine with me. Now get up and drink something before you pass out.” He pulled the ace to his feet and pushed him towards the bench. After practice, Bokuto kept to his word and bought them each five meat buns from a local convenience store. Akaashi didn’t need that much, but it was the thought that counts. He reflected back on today while walking home with Bokuto, who wouldn’t stop talking, and smiled. Eh, today wasn’t so bad, he thought.
A Short Sulk
Tea Type: Subtly Sweet Tea (Fluff with some Hurt/Comfort)
Potential Triggers: Insecurity over being short, very quick referenced bullying
Pairing: Oikawa/F!Reader
Length: 785
Summary: You mention your insecurities to your adoring boyfriend and he offers you comfort in the best way he knows how.
Tumblr media
“Being short is the worst. You’re so lucky being tall, Oikawa.”
You pouted as said boy looked down at you in surprise at the formality, having been reading the newest volleyball magazine.
“What brought this on all of a sudden babe? I thought you loved it when I teased you about your height!”
His words were sincere and sweet and instantly made you go bright red at said true statement and caused your pout to deepen as you fidgeted, looking at your hands.
“It’s just…I overheard some girls today talking about us. They…they said I look like a kid. That I may as well be your sister or something and that you’ll get bored of cute and want someone sexy or beautiful once you know what a real woman is.”
He frowned at that, immediately putting the magazine aside and moving to join you on the floor from his bed.
“I thought we talked about this. Those girls are jealous because I never look at them twice.”
He kept his anger down with difficulty, focusing on comforting you instead. He sat in front of you, mimicking your criss-cross-applesauce way of sitting as he reached out and gently raised your face to his with a palm on your cheek.
“You are plenty sexy, and feminine. Beautiful and adorable all in one. Sure, you’re tiny. But in my opinion that just riles me up more. Trust me babe-”
He snickered, eyes darkening in lust a moment as he scanned you.
“You’re a woman and I sure as Hell ain’t attracted to you in a familial way. I have urges I’d never have with family. I’m just going slow since I know this is your first relationship and I respect your boundaries and want to go at your pace, that’s all.”
He leaned in and you eagerly met his lips before pulling back, crawling into his lap and sighing as you snuggled into him.
“I’m so lucky. Thanks Tooru.”
He hummed into your hair, pecking the top of your head.
“Of course, starlight. It’s just the truth. And…y'know… there is one thing that being short lets me do much easier~”
You heard the teasy tone now in his voice and tensed, already blushing and hiding your face in his neck to whine.
“Tooru c'mon-”
He moved his neck away so you couldn’t hide your blushing face snickering and cooing down at you as one arm kept you against him and the other got ready to attack.
“You’re the perfect size for me to tickle senseless whenever you feel down. Let’s see where to get first~?”
He hummed in feigned thought as the long fingers holding you to his chest already began wiggling against your side and tummy, making you burst into giggles and push on his chest to try and escape as you squirmed.
“Hehehehey!! No fhahahair!!”
“I think it’s plenty fair!! I gotta make my stunning girlfriend feel better or what kind of boyfriend would I be?”
His other hand began squeezing at your other side before fluttering up to scribble at your ribs making you squeal.
“A n-nice one!!”
He smirked mischievously at that, gently guiding you to the floor to pin your wrists above your head and get more access to your other tickle spots.
“Nice? But you love when I’m mean and teasy when I tickle you, don’t you? You’re lucky I didn’t make you beg for it like usual because I’m feeling charitable tonight. But I still have to punish you somehow…hmm… ”
You bucked as he attacked your underarms with both hands, leaving you to try and catch his hands fruitlessly.
“Get on with it!”
You whined as he again pretended to think, tickling you senseless as his hands jumped every which way. He sighed dramatically.
“If you insist then…such an impatient brat I have~”
You squealed at the feeling of him lifting up your shirt already laughing and pushing at his head desperately.
“Tooru nohohoho!!”
He laughed just above your vulnerable tummy, opting to gently pin your hands down on either side of you so he could have his fun.
“Tooru yes! Don’t worry baby, think of this as the grand finale!”
You threw your head back and bucked, laughing as he began kissing, nibbling and raspberrying your stomach. He didn’t let up until you began snorting and had tears in your eyes and a giddy grin on your lips. He pulled back, satisfied with his handy work and dragged you to his bed, letting you cuddle into him and giggling himself as you nuzzled his neck in revenge. He squeezed your side in warning to make you flinch and you both dozed off giggly and content, with smiles on your faces.
it's me, kuroshou anon :) no worries at all, it's always 50/50 requesting daishou anyways ^^` would you maybe write lee!kuroo and ler!akaashi (romantic) instead? i'll leave it to you whether you want to make it a fic or head canons :)
Heyo Kuroshou anon! :D My deepest apologies for how late this is; I do hope this was worth the wait! I'm finding new Kuroo ships left and right, ehehehe! :D I've gotcha covered!
Cloud 9 (Taglist Peeps):
@myreygn @thatbigbisexual29 @duckymcdoorknob @rachi-roo @chibisstuff @imjusthere07, @sevenincubistolemyheart @riisada
“Hey.” A finger reached out, coming around the worn down paperback and gently poking Akaashi’s cheek. “Cheer up, babe.”
“I’m not upset.” His reply was slightly muffled when the finger poked his cheek again, pushing upward and turning the corner of his flat lipped mouth up some. “I’m focused.”
“Nah, you look sad.” Kuroo decided, bringing his other hand around to push the other end of his mouth up, creating a lopsided smile. “What’s got you down, huh? Is it the weather? A recent game?”
“My annoying boyfriend who insists on touching my face when I’m trying to read?” Akaashi grumbled, fighting down a real smile when Kuroo gaped. “Close your mouth before you catch a fly.”
Kuroo did, snapping his mouth shut with an overexaggerated pout. He let his hands fall to Akaashi’s shoulders, playing with the soft fabric of his shirt while the other flipped a page. “I know what happens at the end of that book.”
“I don’t think I’ve seen you pick up this book. Let alone any book.”
“I just do. I watched the movie.”
“The movie differs from the book.”
“Are you sure about that?”
Akaashi glared at him from over the pages. Kuroo smiled sweetly, kicking his feet behind him as he sprawled across him. “I swear to god, Kuroo. If you spoil this book for me, you’re sleeping in the backyard tonight.”
Kuroo gulped, knowing Akaashi was being serious. He lowered his chin to his boyfriend’s chest like a lectured dog, making his eyes big and soulful. Akaashi huffed, reaching out and scratching his head as he carried on reading.
Silence past, Kuroo half asleep while Akaashi read. It was comfortable, but Kuroo was getting bored.
And when he was bored…
“The main character-”
The world spun as their positions were flipped, Akaashi’s deadly glare looming over him while Kuroo grinned. A hand was pressed into his mouth, keeping him from speaking. “What did I just say, Kuroo?”
Muffled words. Akaashi slowly removed his hand.
“The main characte-ehehhehehehehheher!” Kuroo arched with a laugh as Akaashi dug into his sides, relentless in his tickles. “Wahahahahit! Wahhahahait lehehehet me fihihiihhinish!”
“No way. You’re gonna spoil the book!” Akaashi growled, one hand pinching along his ribs as the other dug into his armpit, making the brunette beneath him thrash and flail as he kicked. “You can’t do that if I tickle you to death, can you?”
“AHhehahahahha, bruhuhuhuhuhuhtal! Yoohhoohohou’re sohoohohoho dehehehehevious!” Kuroo tried to fight back, curling his fingers into Akaashi’s upper ribs. The other boy spasmed at the touch but kept at it, bringing both hands into Kuroo’s armpits- forcing him to clam up. “Aheahhahahaha! Lehehhehet me shahahhahay whahahhat I whahahahhas gohohohohonna sahahhahhay!”
“Not until I know you won’t spoil it for me.” Akaashi moved his hands down to his belly, earning a proper squeal as Kuroo arched off the couch. “This is a good book! A great one- I want to go in blind.”
“NEAHAHAHHA I GEHEHEHHET THAHAAHAHAT! AHAHAHAHAKAHAHHAHAHSHI, PLEHAHAHAHAHHASE!” Kuroo begged, tears welling up in the corners of his eyes as he struggled to catch Akaashi’s hands. “I WOHOOHOHON’T SPOHOHOHOHOIL IT I PROOHOHOHOHMISE!”
“Are you absolutely sure?”
“YEHEHEHEHEHHES!”
“Definitely sure?”
“SWEHAHHAHAHR ON MY LIHIHIHIFE AND MY VOHOOHOHOLLEYBAHAHHAHALL CAHAHAHHAREEAHHAHAHR!”
Oo, that was serious. Akaashi considered as he gave the other one last tickle, finally stopping when Kuroo wheezed. His hyena laughs died down as Kuroo tossed his arms across his belly, head falling back against the arm of the couch.
“Ahheheheaha…hehehe..I wahahahsn’t goohohohnna spoohohohil it.” Kuroo groaned, earning a skeptical look from the other. “I wohohohould never! What I was going to say was that the main character reminds me of you!”
That look of skepticism faded into one of surprise, Akaashi blinking down at him. “What?”
“He does! He’s got that cool, confident kinda vibe.” Kuroo sat up some, leaning on his elbows so he could properly look at Akaashi. “He’s also super smart! When I was watching the movie- I just kept thinking ‘Hey- it’s my man!’ Oh, and he was hot too. Like- really hot.” Kuroo swooned, falling back into the couch with an overexaggerated sigh. “Not as hot as you, but like- he’s up there.”
Akaashi blinked down at him, taking it all in. Then he let out a low chuckle, falling into Kuroo’s chest. “God, I’m such a moron.” He mumbled into his chest, melting some when Kuroo ran his fingers through his hair. “Sorry for doubting you.”
“No, you’re fine. I did imply a spoiler. Still…I’m honestly kinda hurt you’d think of me like that.” Kuroo didn’t sound hurt at all despite his words. In fact, he sounded rather cheeky- the hands coming around Akaashi’s prone form poised and ready to go. “I think I want some revenge!”
“Huh? Oh no- no way! Don’t you dahhahahahhare!” Akaashi was soon in the predicament he created, trapped in Kuroo’s arms as the other tickled him relentlessly.
Well- at least the book wasn’t spoiled.
Thanks for reading!
I call this a triple release! Time lines are different, of course, but during the day, I'm uploading three fics!
I wanna write for kageyama again! Squeee! I haven't done it in a while, so maybe the usual... kageyama hinata combo strikes back!
Hehe enjoy
Warning spoilers alert
The first year combo!
Tumblr media
Hinata was getting better at taking Kageyama's sets, in fact those two are an u stoppage duos.
Prodigy Kageyama and passionate Hinata. These were polar opposites, and no one can believe how connected they are during games...
"Kageyama you are being mean!"
"Enough jabbering, Boke (idiot)!"
That's until their off the field. They are a hopless crew. Daichi thought with a smile. The seniors all understood this usual scenario with the first year combo.
Hinata's orange hair is gripped in a vice grip by Kageyama, with a scary grumbled under his throat as he threatened the little guy. This is usual, and as always, Tsukishima had a snarky comment. "What are we grade schoolers?"
In fact, Hinata face was twisted into a hilarious contorted face of reluctance. He knew by strength he couldn't possibly be Kageyama's equal. Nobody seemed bothered to stop a fight they couldn't interfere with. Not even Daichi.
"Boke! You better understand that there's a difference between you and me -ah!"
He released the orange head eventually and stepped away with one hesitant step. Hinata hadn't expected it to work. He reflexively poked him in the ribs in order to make him shrink away from pain but it was a light squeak that was uncharacteristical of the King.
"Wait... wait... wait. " Hinata leaned forward on his knees, trying to get a better idea of what happened."Did you just squeak?"
"Did not" a childish side glance from a child who is lying to a parent visualised in Tsukishima's eyes. He was not merely called the smartest in the group so he could pass tests. He, in fact, deduced enough of the situation to focus on it rather than spiking for Nishinoya.
"Liar, I totally saw you go - like this!" He reached over to demonstrate, but it was unsuccessful as Kageyama grabbed his wrist with sudden panicked motion. He pushed the hand away before going back to the net, almost convincing. "If you have time to goof off, then I suggest you make ample time to practice with my sets instead"
Hinata being the naive idiot fell for this distraction and groaned "Weren't you the one who started this?"
Tsukishima sighed. He knew this won't be a good ending for a good climax, he called out tauntingly. "Nice way of avoiding a fierce tickle attack from your regal subjects, your majesty"
Everyone stared at Kageyama, now widened in eyes with pure intent of curiosity. But he let his guard down too swiftly when he felt someone tackle him from the side.
Shocked, the speed and reflexes couldn't have possibly been anyone but Hinata himself. The kid attacked him with his nimble fingers on his ribs first "Ahh ha! I knew you were hiding something, I'm not thar stupid to fall for your tricks"
Yameguchi gave a fond smile to him and said, "Yeah right, a minute ago he almost did if it weren't for Tsukki"
"Gaha! Oi, yohohou huhuhuman tahahangerine!!! Ahahahand you'll pay! FOUR EYES!"
"Wow, such recognitions, I'm honoured," he said stoically, not even the least bothered by the warning.
Meanwhile the least of Tobio Kageyama's worries is revenge, he needs to get out of this situation where a monkey is determined to straddle him and tickle him to pieces.
He couldn't help it, but being ticklish is something even Oikawa took advantage of. It was a well hidden secret. Well, until Tsukishima decided to expose him while his little friend almost triggered it. Scratch that ...he did trigger it thanks to four eyes.
"Alrihihihight! Cuhuhuhut ihihit ohohohout Hihihinataa!" Kageyama tried to squirm his way off, but surprisingly, he didn't expect the persistence being a strength that evolved to physical strength.
"Na ah! I didn't even know such a weakness existed on you of all people!"
Blushing harder, he tried to kick his way out and decided to turn the tables though he wasn't experienced in tickle counters.
Hinata was ticklish too and thankfully he burst into quick laughter, "ahahaha Kageheheheyamaaa! Nohoho fahahahair!"
"So fair punk! You started it"
"Ohohoho wehehell thehehen tahahahahake thihihis!!" He started to move his way to reach for his sides again and that allowed a brief time for Kageyama to get his armpits instead.
Stream of giggles left his mouth now painfully ticklish. He was in tears, not expecting the tables to flip.
Tanaka called out "Come on Hinata get the sucker while you can, he's more ticklish than you!"
"Kageyama, kick his ass!" Nishinoya seconded that.
These cheers were Hinata's motivation. He decided that Kageyama's awkward tickling wasn't that bad, but he broke through only to sneak a squeeze to his knee. Hoping it was sensitive, he did this, and much to his happiness, it was more effective.
"OHOHOHOI! Nohohoho Hihihinata!" He was thrown off balance by his own jerking ways. He didn't expect such a counter and giggled back uneasily now, distancing themselves instead of fighting.
"Kageeeyaaamaa~ Come here, and I'll treat you nice and easy" Hinata threw himself back only to grab his knees with firm vigour. It was strange how such an unusual spot could be this vulnerable. Kageyama definitely had similar thoughts as he couldn't attack back but rather shriek in surprise.
"HAHAHA, I GIHIHIHIVE YOHOHOU WIHIHIHIN BOHOHOHKEHE!"
"Alright, game over for Kageyama." Asahi reached to grab Hinata's collar, and he dangled like a puppy. He looked thrilled to see a new side of Kageyama and had wicked schemes to exploit it. While Kageyama was given gentle assaults by Sugawara and Tanaka, who were hungry to join the final bit, but Daichi had ordered them to practice now.
Sure enough, Tsukishima remained in the shadows, smiling at his own play that he scripted with one mere call to Kageyama's weakness. He really became a mastermind, only Daichi suspected that.
Still, it was a good day, Kageyama would often be teased back for that defeat, which Hinata rarely witnesses during most challenges. Poking and prodding on their way back after practice, they were determined to hold another tickle fight, this time hoping who'd win foe real with equal strength.
"That's what makes them a team." Suagwara chuckled, locking the gymnasium.
"Yeah," Daichi grinned, now looking at the unfolding evening sky to night as time got much delayed.
Manhandling (Kuroo/Kenma/Hinata)
A/N: hiiiii so i know i haven’t written anything in, like, 300 years. and i literally just sat down and wrote this today bc i got the idea in my head and was like yes, i am doing that. and it’s not even one of the prompts people are waiting so patiently for me to fill or one of my many drafts... sooo im sorry about that :( but i hope you take this fic as a peace offering while i get my crap together <3
Kenma and Hinata were very different.
Hinata was louder, more energetic, always up for a challenge - Kenma was the opposite of those things. He was quiet, timid, and generally preferred calm, relaxing activities.
These differences also changed certain ways Kuroo would act around them; not in a bad way, like having separate personalities depending on who he was with. It was in little ways that showed he paid attention to what each boy liked and was comfortable with. For example, if Hinata was upset about something, Kuroo would encourage him to blow off steam or take the redhead somewhere fun. If Kenma was upset, Kuroo would sit with him in silence until Kenma was ready to talk, gently rubbing his back so he knew Kuroo was listening.
All three of them were happy with this arrangement. But since the three of them had started dating, there was one thing in which Kenma had been, at first, very glad he wasn’t apart of.
Hinata liked being manhandled.
It sounded weird, but Hinata just really loved the fun of it. When Kuroo would randomly grab him and throw him over his shoulder or sling him under his arm, wrestling with Kuroo, being picked up and thrown onto the bed - all of it made the younger boy giggle and squeal and smile like you’d never seen before. He just loved his big strong boyfriend, okay?
Obviously, this was not something Kenma had ever imagined enjoying. He wasn’t against playful touching, but he tended to prefer holding Kuroo’s thumb when they watched movies, or when Hinata would play with his hair. He did not understand what could be so fun about being tossed around.
Until suddenly, maybe he did.
The three boys were at Kuroo’s, studying. Well, Kenma was studying. Kuroo had been studying, or trying to, until Hinata had gotten too restless to sit still. He started tossing little wads of rolled up paper at Kuroo’s head, obviously trying to get a rise out of the older boy. After hitting Kuroo with at least seven paper wads, Hinata finally got what he wanted.
“That’s it,” Kuroo stated, immediately walking to where Hinata was seated and grabbing him around the waist. Hinata squealed before rapid giggles started flowing from his mouth, increasing in volume when Kuroo pretended to drop him a couple times before tossing him on the bed. They wrestled around, Kuroo sometimes letting Hinata get close to having the upper hand before easily flipping said boy over again, and so on and so forth. Hinata was giggling so brightly that Kuroo couldn’t help but chuckle along.
Usually Kenma ignored his boyfriends when they played around like this but, for some reason that Kenma wasn’t sure of, he found himself watching.
Kuroo was strong, as the movements of his muscles as he tossed Hinata around could prove. But he was also gentle; Hinata never looked like he was hurt or in distress. He only looked like he was having the time of his life.
For the first time ever, Kenma thought, hmm. Maybe there could be something fun about it.
Kuroo grabbed one of Hinata’s arms to pull him into his lap when he looked up at Kenma, just as Kenma was looking over at him.
For a brief second their eyes met and, to Kenma’s dismay, he felt his cheeks flush.
He looked down right away, but he knew Kuroo had seen him. Had seen him blush. Oh no.
“What’s going on, Kitten?” Kuroo asked, voice absolutely dripping with teasing. “You want in?”
Kenma shook his head, but he could feel his blush deepening.
“Aww, Kenma’s jealous,” Kuroo purred, causing Kenma’s blush to invade his ears and neck.
“What? Really?” Hinata asked. He was laying on his back, Kuroo’s hand flat on his chest to hold him there, but he looked upside down at Kenma with sparkles in his eyes. “Kenma’s jealous??
“I’m not,” Kenma mumbled, turning away, but he was so hilariously embarrassed and unconvincing that Kuroo only laughed. Damn. He really knew Kenma too well.
Kenma tensed when he heard Kuroo get up from the bed and walk over to him softly. He tried not to react when he felt Kuroo’s hands on his shoulders, felt his breath in his ear, felt his stupid dumb smirk filling up the room.
A few seconds of silence. They felt long. A whispered, “you’re so cute, Ken.”
Suddenly Kuroo spun the chair Kenma was in so it faced him, reached down, and easily scooped Kenma up into his arms.
Kenma’s initial squeak was so quiet he hoped Kuroo didn’t hear it, but judging by the chuckle Kuroo let out, Kenma wasn’t holding his breath. Kuroo jostled Kenma around until he was holding the smaller boy bridal-style and, just like he did with Hinata earlier, pretended to drop Kenma, catching him at the last moment.
Kenma didn’t know what was wrong with him. Every time Kuroo “dropped” him, he would let out such an embarrassing little squeal before Kuroo caught him again - he even knew it was coming, and he still ended up making that noise! After the fourth time, Kenma couldn’t help it anymore; he giggled.
He giggled, then turned beet red and shoved his face into the crook of Kuroo’s neck when he and Hinata cooed at him. Kuroo gave Kenma’s hair a playful tug. “Hey, don’t hide!”
Kenma shook his head but didn’t remove it from its hiding place, so flustered that he didn’t notice Kuroo had walked to the bed until he felt himself being gently tossed onto it.
He landed with a gasp, and when he looked at Hinata they boy was grinning like Christmas had come early. “Kenma! Hey!”
The boys bounced slightly when Kuroo sat on the bed, and before Kenma had time to be any more embarrassed, Kuroo scooped him into his lap and cradled him close. “Kenma, come play.”
Kenma hesitated. This was very out of the ordinary for him, so naturally he felt unsure. But he felt Kuroo’s strong arms around him, saw Hinata’s excited smile; Kenma trusted them. Trusted Kuroo to know if it was too much for him, to be gentle.
Kenma reached out a hand and placed it against Kuroo’s chest, pushing softly. He smiled nervously, giving Kuroo a silent go ahead.
Kuroo took hold of Kenma’s upper arms, picking him up enough to toss him onto his back - all gently, of course. All playful and fun.
Kenma fought back the way he’d seen Hinata do; he got up on his knees and grabbed Kuroo’s arm, trying to push him over, but could only squeal as Kuroo used it as leverage to lift him up and plop him down near the headboard.
Kenma was giggling, and he couldn’t stop. Hinata was giggling at Kenma’s giggling, and Kenma couldn’t believe he was having fun.
But before Kenma could decide his next move, Kuroo grabbed him quickly by the waist to pull him closer and onto his back, making him squeal.
But it wasn’t just an oh, you’ve surprised me squeal. It was a very specific squeal, one that Kuroo and Hinata knew well.
Kuroo’s hands were still on Kenma’s waist, and Kenma was so hyper aware of it. It tickled. He held his breath.
Kuroo squeezed the same spot where he had grabbed Kenma. The latter let out a yelp and reached his hands down to push at Kuroo’s. Their eyes met again, and Kenma blushed. Again. Hinata laughed loudly. “Get him, Kuroo!”
Kuroo didn’t need to be told twice.
Kenma squealed again when Kuroo’s fingers dug into the fleshy part of his waist, clawing gently at his belly before squeezing at his flanks. He was so fast Kenma’s hands couldn’t keep up, and he was lost in frantic, high-pitched giggles that poured out from deep inside him. To make matters worse, Kuroo started manhandling him again, scooping him up into his lap to pinch his thighs and make him scream. He tossed Kenma over his shoulder and gently let him roll over the other side so the smaller boy was disoriented, before grabbing at his ribs and pinching in a way that had Kenma breathless.
Kenma was laughing, childish and sweet, and almost felt dizzy. Even though he was being tossed around, the only part of him that hurt was his cheeks from smiling so big.
Unfortunately for Kenma, due to the state he was in he forgot that Hinata was there. And that he loved hearing Kenma laugh. And that he loved making Kenma laugh. So he was totally unprepared when Hinata squeezed at his knees, giggling when it made Kenma laugh louder.
Kuroo picked Kenma up one more time so he could spin the blond around and onto his back again, sitting loosely on Kenma’s thighs, and slowed his hands before leaning close to the boy beneath him.
Kenma could only pant and hold onto Kuroo’s wrists when the boy whispered, “honestly, Ken. You’re cute.”
And then Kuroo was digging his thumbs into the dips of Kenma’s hips and the boy was gone, a shriek leaving his mouth before he was even aware of it, bucking and squirming and squealing like never before. He could barely hear Hinata over his own laughter, but he was sure the younger boy was laughing and cooing at him. Hinata reached over to gently swipe the pads of his fingers down Kenma’s throat, and when Kenma scrunched his neck up and let out a desperate, giggly stop, both boyfriends halted their tickling.
Kuroo once again picked Kenma up and into his lap, chuckling to himself when Kenma initially flinched with a giggle, and held him close. “Did you have fun, Ken?”
A pause. “Yeah. I did.” And it was true. He understood why Hinata liked it when Kuroo tossed him around; feeling the strong arms of someone you trust wrap around you and toss you this way and that was fun, and Kenma didn’t mind that it made him giggle his head off. It felt nice, being in Kuroo’s careful embrace like that.
“So... we can play with you, too?” Hinata asked hopefully.
“Okay,” Kenma whispered, blushing slightly once more. “But no tickling!”
Hinata and Kuroo couldn’t help but smile at their sweet little boyfriend.
After a few moments of silence, Kenma spoke up. “I don’t think Hinata was done wanting you to play with him, Kuroo.”
Hinata let out an indignant squawk when Kuroo turned to him with a devious smirk. “I think you’re right. Would you like to help, Ken?”
“Uh huh.”
Kuroo let go of Kenma and grabbed Hinata by the waist, laughing evilly to make Hinata squeal again. He lifted the younger boy until he was almost upside down before letting him bounce onto the mattress, and before Hinata could wrestle back Kuroo held his arms and yelled, in an echo of Hinata’s command earlier, “get him, Kenma!”
“W-wait!” Hinata tittered nervously, eyeing Kenma’s hands that were hovering above his ribs, “I thought you said no tickling! Kenma, you said that!”
A small smile. “I changed my mind.” This was fun.
And laughter rang out into the room once again.
Practicing tickle fights | Yamaguchi, Nishinoya & Hinata
Tumblr media
A/N: First commission from the always kind and super amazing Max (@wertzunge)! Thank you so much again for your kind, kind support Max! You are always so nice to me. I hope you enjoy these cuties!
Summary: Yamaguchi is a very reserved guy, but when he finds Nishinoya and Hinata having a tickle fight (again), he can't help but feel curious - what was it the last time he got tickled?
Tumblr media
He was tired. He never thought practicing could actually be this… painful. He was sore in places he didn't even know could be sore and he felt like dying with every step he took, however… it felt nice. Despite being tired both physically and mentally, he had never felt so energized and motivated to do something, especially something related to volleyball, but there he was, feeling like his heart wanted to explode out of his chest every time he noticed progress on his serve and when he received praise from his coaches and even Hinata.
He felt that after this camp, he could definitely be of more help to his team and that made him feel so happy, he could barely walk- yet again, he could barely walk with how sore he was.
“It hurts, it hurts,” he whined as he dragged himself outside, even though he wanted to rest for the night right there and then. He felt motivated, but he also felt like he could sleep for three years straight.
However, he still wanted to do a little more practicing before going to bed, he just needed a clean towel and his water bottle… his water bottle. Ah. Yamaguchi whined as it came to his mind that he had left his poor water bottle alone back in their room. Now he had to go all the way back for it… would it be better to go to sleep once and for all? He whined some more as he made his way back to the room, fighting the urge to just go to sleep and skip practice for that day. Only one day… couldn't be so bad, right?
He sighed, giving himself mental strength, but as he neared the room he couldn't help but get distracted by so much noise coming from inside, interrupting his inner speech about how persistence was the key. It sounded like screams and Yamaguchi was immediately worried, his feet moving quickly, in a rush to get there and see what was happening; he didn't know what to expect to find when he opened the door, but what he saw really blew him away.
“SH-SHOHOUYOU!”
“NOHOYAHA-SAHAHAN!”
Hinata and Nishinoya were inside the room… having a tickle fight? Yamaguchi blinked, perplexed, staring at the scene. So that was all the commotion he heard from the other side of the hallway? A tickle fight? He sighed in relief, he thought something bad had happened, but it was just his silly teammates.
Yamaguchi was very used to this. Tickle fights were a regular thing on the Karasuno team, especially between these two. Yamaguchi could tell from their big smiles and bright eyes that they were having too much fun as they tried to pin the other. Both Hinata and Nishinoya already knew each other's weakest spots and their skillful and quick fingers did not hesitate to attack those spots that made them throw their heads back with loud, hysterical laughter. Yamaguchi couldn't help but smile as he heard their contagious laughter, they really sounded happy even though their bodies desperately tried to escape when they were under attack.
How they could engage into these types of games so effortlessly would always be a mystery for Yamaguchi. Sometimes they only needed to look at each other to know what was about to happen and it didn't matter the time, both of them were so ready for it right away. Was it really that fun?
Hinata's laughter was really funny, he had to admit, it sounded so like him, if that made any sense. It was vibrant and somehow cute. Contagious and happy as his personality. Noya's laughter was also so like him: loud, boisterous and free. It escaped from his lips without restraints and without a care just like Noya. He never thought laughter could sound like one's personality. Yamaguchi was curious, but there was no way he would-
“Y-Yahahamahahuchihi,” Noya giggled, pointing at Yamaguchi by the door when he caught sight of him. Hinata, busy tickling Noya's sides, stopped and looked up to look at Yamaguchi and he grinned widely.
“Yamaguchi! What are you doing there? Do you want to join?” He was short of breath as if he had run a marathon, but he didn't look tired at all.
But, what did he just ask?! Yamaguchi felt his cheeks blushing and he shook his head and both his hands no. “That’s not it! I just came here for my bottle, I'm going to practice… again…”
They were not listening to him, were they? Noya was laughing so hard as Hinata tried to pin his arms above his head; so he was surprised when they called his name again.
“Yahamaguchi! C'mon!” Noya said, cackling a little when Hinata tickled his ribs for a bit. “Y-Yohohou nehever join us in a tickle fight! Didn't even Tsukishima tickle Kageyama the other day?”
Yamaguchi chuckled. Tsukki would do anything in his power to make Kageyama feel embarrassed, of course he would even join in a tickle fight just to wreck him, but Yamaguchi? He didn't feel the need to join, really, it was fun to watch so he never thought about actually playing as well.
“Yes! Laughing is also healthy for your lungs, Yamaguchi!” Hinata said, giggling brightly as Noya squeezed his thigh.
“And you won't believe the workout you do in a tickle fight! So come here, quickly!”
Yamaguchi blinked a couple of times, he looked behind him into the hallway and then looked at Hinata and Noya again. Well… it wouldn't hurt, right? If he was quick enough, he could avoid being tickled, but even so… maybe getting tickled wouldn't be that bad, he thought.
Clearing his throat, Yamaguchi finally stepped in, his steps slow as both Hinata and Noya sat up, grinning brightly and excitedly at him as they saw him kneeling beside them. Yamaguchi felt his hands trembling a little as he was under their playful gaze.
“Our Shouyou here will be kind enough to let you tickle him,” Noya said, making Yamaguchi jump when he placed a hand on his shoulder, the libero giggled. “Lay down, Shouyou.”
“Huh?! Why me?” Hinata whined, but he did what he was told and even raised his hands above his head. “Noya-san is more ticklish than me,” he pouted and Noya was quick to have his fingers digging slightly into Hinata's ribs, making him laugh and squirm, his arms half way down already.
“Did you see that? Shouyou is very ticklish on his ribs,” Noya explained, vibrating his fingers in between the spaces of Hinata's ribs, making him finally lower his arms. “You can try it, Yamaguchi. Don't be too rough, though. You could hurt him and we don't want that.”
Yamaguchi nodded, his lips sealed in a thin line as he approached Hinata, who had raised his arms again, but was giggling like a kid. Yamaguchi would have chuckled, listening to Hinata's giggles, but he was nervous. He couldn't say he had much experience with tickling. He was an only child, so he didn't have tickle fights with his siblings. Tsukishima and Akiteru have tickled him before, but that was when he was a kid and he didn't get to tickle them back since they always ganged up on him. He didn't get tickled in Karasuno either, even though they did have many tickle fights, he never personally joined nor they made him join before.
So he was not surprised when he finally touched Hinata's ribs and he simply flinched slightly. His smile was bright, but no laughter came out.
“Harder, Yamaguchi!” Hinata encouraged him and Yamaguchi clawed at his ribs a bit harder, this time Hinata did giggle, jerking slightly to the side. “I cahahan tahake mohohore than that!”
“Don't be afraid, Yamaguchi! It's just tickling! Hinata loves it, believe me!”
“I dohohon’t, you dohoho!”
Yamaguchi was not scared, he just didn't know how to do it! He couldn't help but tense even more as they kept telling him how to do it. No matter how hard he tried, Yamaguchi could only make Hinata giggled slightly and squirm softly, nothing compared to when Noya was doing this.
“I think I can't,” he finally admitted, stopping his tickling and looking back at Noya. “I don't know how to- ah, wait! What-”
He was surprised when he was suddenly pushed back by Noya who hovered over him with a bright, evil grin, showing all his teeth. Yamaguchi tensed and all the alarms in his head went off as he also saw Hinata joining Nishinoya.
“I think Shouyou and I should teach you how to do this, Yamaguchi, don't you think so, Shouyou?” Noya said, winking at Hinata.
“Yes! Don't worry, Yamaguchi! You'll learn first hand how to tickle someone!”
“W-Wait! I don't think this a good idea,” Yamaguchi said, blushing. “I just wanted to get my bottle, I have to do some practicing and- aaagh! N-Noya-san! Nohohohoyahaha-sahahan!”
Laughter escaped from his lips at the mere contact of Noya's fingers against his sides. Yamaguchi thought he had stopped being ticklish as he grew up, but now he knew he was very wrong, if anything, he thought he felt even more ticklish now, but it could be that he was a bit too nervous at that moment, actually, why was Nishinoya so good at tickling?!
“Nohohoho!” He laughed, squirming and trying to push Noya's hands away from his sides.
“You see now, Yamaguchi? You have to do it firmly, but not too hard and you are just as ticklish as Shouyou!”
Yamaguchi could barely focus on Noya's words as he was a bit overwhelmed by the tickles on his sides, but he did hear Hinata squeaking out a protest, claiming that Noya was the most ticklish between them too. Much to Yamaguchi's embarrassment, they quickly came to the conclusion that he was the most ticklish among the three.
“Okahahahay! Okay! I gehehehet it! I'll try ahahahagain!” He pleaded, tilting his head back with laughter when Noya massaged his lower sides, thumbs digging into the sides of his stomach.
“Hey, I want to tickle Yamaguchi too!” Hinata claimed and Yamaguchi squeaked out a cackle when he felt his hands clawing at his stomach under his shirt! “He really is so ticklish, look at him, Noya-san!”
Noya laughed, “this is why you never join us, Yamaguchi?”
Yamaguchi shook his head, jerking this way and that, but unable to escape their hands. “NOHOHO! Stahahahap! It tihihihickles!”
Both gremlins giggled at Yamaguchi’s words, but they didn't stop, on the contrary, Yamaguchi felt as if their fingers increased in speed and it suddenly didn't feel like just four hands, but ten climbing up and down his sides and clawing and wiggling at his tummy. Yamaguchi giggled and laughed and squeaked, his hands flailing around, trying to push their hands, to cover his stomach, to drag himself out of it, but it was all useless as they tickled him as if they knew where exactly to touch to have him losing his mind.
And yet, Yamaguchi couldn't deny he was having fun. He was able to pinch firmly at Hinata's side or wiggle his fingers under Noya's arm, but even though they laughed, his actions only backfired and they tickled him more.
“I'll dihihihie!” He said dramatically, stubbornly denying the fact that he was having a good time. “PLEHEHEASE! H-Hinahahataha! Don't do thahahat!”
“What! What! This?” He asked excitedly as his hand vibrated right in the center of Yamaguchi's tummy, around his belly button.
Yamaguchi barked out a laugh, nodding his head as he sucked on his belly, but as he tried to move away, Nishinoya held his sides in place, fingers digging in also making him laugh like crazy.
“Poor Yamaguchi, he can't stop us!” Noya teased, giggling and whining when Yamaguchi's knee hit him in the back. “Ouch? Why are you hurting your senpai, Yamaguchi? That just won't do! Do you want me to tickle your feet?”
Yamaguchi shook his head desperately. “NOHOHO! I'M SOHOHORRY!”
Noya grinned. “Did you hear that, Shouyou? I think Yamaguchi here is hiding something on his feet! Help me out!”
“YES!”
“NOHOHO!” Yamaguchi laughed nervously, quickly turning on his stomach to flee away as both Noya and Hinata stopped tickling him to move lower, but perhaps since they were so tiny and Yamaguchi  was already weak from all that laughter, they caught a leg each, pinning them down with their weight. Yamaguchi shrieked, pulling at his trapped legs. “Nohoho, Nohohoya-san, Hinata! Please, listen! Lihihisten! LIHIHISTEN! NAHAHA!”
“Noya-san, Noya-san. I think we found Yamaguchi's worst spot!”
“Aren't we lucky, Shouyou?"
“NAHAHAT THEHEHERE, STAHAHAP!”
Blunt nails raked up and down his socked soles. Yamaguchi howled with laughter, fists banging against the floor as he tried to crawl away from them, but damn they had him pinned good. One pair of hands skittered their nails against the ball of his foot, making him cackling like mad as the other pair found that hypersensitive spot underneath his toes that not even Yamaguchi knew was ticklish.
Tears of laughter streamed down his face and his cheeks and stomach ached a little from laughing so much, he really thought it couldn't be worst, but then he felt them pulling his socks off and when they tickled him again, he was a goner.
“STAHAHA- HINAHAHA- AHAHAHA! PLEHEHEA!”
Half words were the only thing he could manage out as they wrecked his poor feet. Nails scritch-scratching the sides of his feet, the arches and fingers wiggling under and in between his toes as his attackers giggled happily. He certainly had never been tickled like that before and soon his laughter had started to turn wheezy and silent.
“Noya-san, do you think Yamaguchi had learned how to properly do this?”
Yamaguchi wanted to scream that he did, but at that moment he could only howl with nearly hysterical laughter.
“Hmm, I wonder, shall we ask him?”
The tickling suddenly stopped and Yamaguchi went limp against the wooden floor. He pressed his forehead against the cool surface and let out residual laughter as he heard Nishinoya and Hinata moving up from his feet.
“So, Yamaguchi? How was it? Did you learn how to do it?”
He couldn't talk, or more like didn't want to, he felt slightly too embarrassed, even though he didn't hate it, he was still surprised about how ticklish he really was. Who would've thought? He really made a fool of himself laughing like that, right? Ugh, he wanted to disappear!
“Ah! Ahahahah, I dihihihid! I reheheally dihihid!” He giggled brightly when they tickled his ears, fingers lightly fluttering against the sensitive spot. He shook his head before covering his ears. “I knohohow how to dohoho it! I prohohomise!”
Hinata and Nishinoya giggled, finally stopping to let Yamaguchi catch his breath completely.
“How was it, Yamaguchi? Did you have fun?” Hinata asked as Yamaguchi sat up, face pink but breathing more stable.
“Yeah, doesn't it feel so good to just laugh?” Noya added, their eyes sparkling with happiness.
They were right. It was fun and it was somehow revitalizing. He liked it and he wondered how it was that he didn't join in the fun before.
He nodded shyly, “yes, it was fun. It feels weirdly nice, I think. I had never been tickled like that before. You both are brutal,” Yamaguchi said sincerely and the three laughed.
Ah, this was nice. It had been a long time since he had felt as light and vibrant as he did in those moments. Who knew that a ridiculous tickle war was what he needed to relax? Well, a very one sided tickle fight, if he may add, but not for long.
“What- AHAHAHAHA! N-NOHOHO!” Nishinoya’s laughter echoed through the whole room as Yamaguchi launched at him, fingers wiggling their way under the libero's arms, tickling him with enthusiasm.
“What do you think, Noya-san?” Yamaguchi teased, pinning Noya down and straddling his hips. “Do you think I learned something at all?”
“I'LL KIHIHIHILL YOHOHOU!”
“Let me help you!” Hinata chirped excitedly and he grabbed Noya's wrists, easily pinning his arms up above his head.
“DON'T! SH-SHOHOUYOU!”
Yamaguchi laughed brightly as he wrecked the poor libero. He never thought tickle fights could be that fun and it was even better since he knew these two silly boys enjoyed every second of it, so he let himself have fun tickling the two and letting them tickle him back.
Either way he could keep practicing extra hard tomorrow!
Akaashi x gn!reader (romantic)
Lee: reader
Ler: Akaashi
Warnings: Tickles!
___________________________________________
"Ugh!!" You let out an exasperated groan, having just returned to your shared apartment after a long day of walking all over campus, leaving your legs and back aching. Not to mention the sudden rain, drenching you into looking like a wet puppy. You went to take a warm shower to try to de-stress. Coming out feeling a bit refreshed, wearing your comfiest pjs, but still tired. And the thought of the countless exams and projects you had coming up was enough to get your anxiety kicking up.
You sat down at the foot of the bed, trying to get your breathing back to normal, but no nice thought was enough to get you to fully calm down.
As if sent by an angel, you suddenly felt a warm pair of arms wrap around your middle and before you knew it, Akaashi pulled you onto his lap.
"It's okay, it's just me" he gave you a soft smile as he started rubbing soothing circles along your back. He took a few deep breaths along with you until your body eventually relaxed in his embrace. Once he saw you more at ease, he asked: "What's got you feeling like this, love?... If you don't want to talk about it, that's fine too". He gently grabbed your hand, softly rubbing his thumb along your knuckles for extra comfort.
You let out a deep sigh before speaking. "I just... feel so stressed with all the exams and projects piling up... I feel like I'm gonna go crazy" you let out a dry chuckle before sighing once again, leaning your head against his chest. The sound of Akaashi's heartbeat was enough to make you feel more at peace, but still, as your boyfriend, he prioritized your well-being and wouldn't stop until he knew you were feeling better.
"I know it's a lot, but you are capable of accomplishing whatever you set your mind to. And whenever you're struggling, I'll be there to help you back up".
You couldn't help the soft smile that formed on your lips at hearing his words. Akaashi had always been the supportive type, always there even at your lowest of moments.
He felt a bit relieved at seeing your little smile as he gently rocked you back and foward. "So, is there anything I can do to make you feel better? Get you a snack? Watch a movie together?... Maybe...~" his tone slowly shifted to a more playful one as he gently walked his fingers up your side, making you gasp and jolt from the touch. Your reaction only made Akaashi's grin go wider. "Would you like that?~" he knew how easily flustered you got simply by the word "tickle". Usually he'd use that against you but today decided to go easy on you. Of course you couldn't pass up such an offer, maybe laughing your worries away was all you needed for tonight, so you gave him a soft nod. Feeling too flustered to properly reply.
He gently layed you down along the bed, looming over you with a playful glint in his eyes. The giggles involuntarily bubbling out of your chest out of aniticipation of what's to come.
"Already laughing? I haven't even touched you yet" he let out a soft chuckle at your silly reaction before leaning in close to whisper into your ear. "Tell me when you've had enough".
Without saying anything else, his hands snuck under your shirt. His cold fingertips making contact against your warm stomach, causing you to jump at each touch "K-Keijihihi...!".
Akaashi could feel his heart flutter at the sight of you whinning out his name through your cute giggles, this only made him want to tickle you more. His short nails now softly scribbling along the sides of your tummy.
You involuntarily slapped your hands over your mouth, trying to muffle the embarrassing sounds that were pouring out of it. All while your body twitched and squirmed with each scribble.
"Hmm... have you gotten more ticklish?" he asked with his usual stoic-looking face, and yet the question was enough to make your face errupt on the spot.
"N-nohoho I hahahaven't!" you tried to defend yourself, but the cute giggles and snorts coming out were betraying you.
It took a lot of willpower for Akaashi to not laught from your reactions, but he managed to keep his composure. "Are you sure? You seem more wiggly than usual" he enphasized his point by giving a soft poke to your navel, causing you to want to jump out of your skin as you squeaked.
"You're juhust seeing thihihings!!" you reached out to weakly hold onto his wrists as his fingertips kept playfully teasing the small tickle spot under your shirt. You couldn't really do much to defend yourself in this situation, and it's not like you wanted to. But damn was it still flustering as heck!
At your words, Akaashi abruptly stopped the tickling. He then took off his glasses and cleaned them against his sleeve before putting them back on. "No no, you're definitely very squirmy tonight. I mean, just look at you when I do this—" as he said that, he gave your hips a squeeze, making you buck your hips as you let out a surprised screech.
"Okahahay I get it! I think that's enough for one night..." you softly chuckled as you catched your breath, except this time it was from laughing so much. "Umm... thanks for that" you said shyly, averting his gaze.
Akaashi's lips turned into a soft smirk as he gently held your chin to force you to look at him and before you could question him he leaned in for a tender kiss on your lips. Once he broke it off, you let out a deep breath you didn't realize you were holding. Smiling like a lovestruck fool the entire time. He couldn't help but smile back as he layed down next to you and held you closely. The both of you instantly drifting off to sleep with the purests of smiles.
Wow Fantasstic Baby
Author's Note: The title is a reference to this song Fantastic Baby - BigBang and was inspired by a post by @ticklishfanart about Tsukishima's milky legs. Warning: This is a tickle fic, so if that's not something you want to see, feel free to ignore this post.
I've read the manga in full twice and own the whole manga set, so I think it's a crime I haven't written for Haikyuu yet. Enjoy this hellhole of a fic that I came up with at work and mostly wrote on the bus to and from work and at work in corners of breakrooms.
Mutuals tag: @otomiya-tickles @italeean @giggly-squiggily @myreygn @ticklygiggles @duckymcdoorknob @jettorii
Tsukishima likes to say that he enjoys massages. Yamaguchi, the bastard, likes to give him back massages during intense study sessions under the guise of trying to put him to sleep.
Additionally, Akiteru refers to him as a stick of bamboo, saying that he needs to learn how to “loosen up” a bit. He doesn’t like to admit it, but he is a stiff person. Since throwing himself into volleyball, his muscles ache all the time, so massages are also welcome to relieve his pain.
And he would like to say he’s enjoying the leg massage that Kuroo had offered to give him, but he’s too busy cackling to pay attention to how nice it feels.
“Really, here?” Kuroo asks while kneading into his calves as Tsukishima debates actually slamming his fists onto the ground. He didn’t even know that calves could be ticklish, let alone garner such a big reaction out of someone.
“Staahahaap,” Tsukishima begs, trying to yank his legs out of Kuroo’s grasp.
He doesn’t need to turn around to know there’s a smirk on the latter’s face. “But this is for your own good.” Kuroo pauses to skitter his fingers from the back of Tsukishima’s knees to just below his butt. “It’s not my fault you’re so ticklish. Plus, I kind of want to keep tickling you.”
Tsukishima fully smashes his face into his arms to hold back a scream.
And to Tsukishima’s utter, utter horror, Kuroo doesn’t miss his reaction.
“Oh? I always thought you had a nice ass, but I didn’t expect it to be so ticklish,” Kuroo says.
The sound that comes out of Tsukishima at the comment doesn’t sound human. “Damn, your ears sure turn red fast, don’t they?”
“Fuhahuck,” Tsukishima replies, giggling like the rattling sound of a snare drum when Kuroo starts pinching all over his ass. He’s thankful that they’re the only ones in the gym. Maybe personal practice was more useful than he originally thought. “Naaahahat there. Stohohop.”
“Not here?” Kuroo switches to spidering along the bottom of his butt, every once in a while, sneaking a hand to his inner thighs. “You sound so happy though.”
Lies. Straight-up lies. He’s not happy, he’s dying. Here lies Tsukishima Kei. Maybe Yamaguchi will miss him.
“Fine. I’ll move,” Kuroo says, digging into the back of Tsukishima’s quads.
In Tsukishima’s defense, he does not shriek…that loudly.
“Is this a good spot too?”
“Gohoho somewhere else,” Tsukishima pleads, feeling a mostly foreign wetness building in the corner of his eyes.
“Hmm? But I did what you asked…All right, I’ll be nice.”
Tsukishima already starts to regret asking Kuroo to move spots since he’s figured out that begging Kuroo to stop is falling on deaf ears.
“Ass, inner thighs, or hamstrings?” Kuroo asks.
Resisting the urge to roll his eyes or yell in frustration, Tsukishima settles on trying to compromise some more. “Thahaat’s not fair. I’ll piihick somewhere else. Ahahanywhere else.”
“Anywhere?” Kuroo hums, “Sorry, but you picked the wrong choice, my dear.”
My dear? Wrong choice, his ass. Tsukishima decides that he will be getting Kuroo back tenfold after this is all over. From what he’s overheard when Hinata babbles, Kenma should be willing to deluge Kuroo’s worst spot or spots.
He hopes it is spots.
The thought of revenge stops at the feeling of fingers scribbling all over the back and inner parts of his thighs and all around his ass. He’d like to think, but it tickles so much that he doesn’t register that the loud sound he hears is coming from him.
“Awww,” Kuroo coos, “Was that a snort I heard? Who knew you could look so pretty underneath that constant frown, especially in those cute little shorts.”
Tsukishima curses the volleyball shorts they have to wear. Right now, he’s wishing that they were just a tad longer. The electric feeling shooting up and down his legs leave him paralyzed.
Even if he wanted to pull them away, the thought of doing so is almost physically painful, so he can only lay there and laugh until he can feel tears dripping down his face. He doesn’t bother begging or pleading and just sticks to crying.
Part of him thinks laughing so hard for so long feels nice because he hasn’t laughed that much since middle school. Sometimes he finds himself chuckling when Yamaguchi makes funny faces when he’s thinking or snickering every time he looks at Kuroo’s bed hair and when Kuroo smirks at his opponents from across the net. Maybe he even laughs when he sees Kuroo messing around with Bokuto and Akaashi.
Oh.
Well, shit. Tsukishima figures that laughing and maybe tickling is okay with Kuroo and Yamaguchi. But only them.
When he's tickled by Yamaguchi it reminds him of being a kid, before everything that happened to Akiteru. Okay, he might consider being tickled by his brother in the future. In all his pessimism and cynicism there's hope in there somewhere. That bright-eyed kid is still a part of him.
With Kuroo, he finds himself melting. It's warm and sends clouds of floating, fuzzy sensations to fill his head and heart.
Home. The feeling of home he decides.
Kuroo's dexterous fingers are both torturous and comforting. It takes nearly every ounce of willpower in him not to beg for more instead.
…What is wrong with him? Beg for more?
There are a couple of spots on Tsukishima’s butt that have him shrieking. It’s a high-pitched sound, reminding him of a younger, more innocent him. And, yeah, nope. He can forget about thinking again.
“I think I like this spot,” Kuroo says, pinching and wiggling his fingers in Tsukishima’s inner thighs.
Tsukishima slams his legs shut and traps Kuroo’s fingers in between them. He cackles even harder than when Kuroo was tickling his calves when this ordeal first started. “I dohohon’t,” he babbles.
“Look at you.” Tsukishima can hear the mock sympathy and slight pout in Kuroo’s voice. “Is someone too weak to handle a little tickling? Poor thing, taken down by a couple of fingers.”
He wants to push Kuroo’s hands away, but he settles on covering his face instead, not bothering to wipe the fresh set of tears out of his eyes.
“That cute face of yours is so red right now. It’s very pretty looking.”
His face heats up more at the comment. Besides volleyball, he’s not the kind of person who goes outside. Although he knows it might be nicer to study in a park or outside a café, he prefers the comfort of AC in his room or in a library. He feels pretty. So pretty. He’s been approached by girls or, more or less, Yamaguchi has been approached by girls, saying how handsome he is.
But for some reason, when Kuroo says it, it hits so much harder.
Tsukishima is ripped out of his thoughts by fingers dancing on his hamstrings midway down his thighs. More high-pitched giggles spill out of him as he grows weaker and weaker by the second.
After a few rounds of Kuroo dashing from each spot and sneaking a couple of swipes up his feet that leave him flinching despite feeling like putty, small hiccups break through his laughter which has almost gone silent.
The tickling stops almost immediately. Tsukishima takes the chance to roll over and somewhat flop on the ground with all the grace of a beached whale. Gasping for much-needed air, he shuts his eyes until the moisture dries from his face and his breathing evens.
Although he's flushed and tired, there's this buzzing feeling in his head. He's washed in a glow that spreads from his heart to the rest of his body. A small smile graces his features.
It's softer than normal. Different from the smirk he wears during volleyball matches or the bored one that stays on his face during classes.
"So…" Kuroo starts, breaking the silence, "Since I've gotten a chance to touch that ass, can I have a chance to have all of you?"
A snort bubbles out of Tsukishima's nose, which turns into another laughing fit.
Kuroo wives his left hand in front of Tsukishima's face. "Still feeling ticklish there, giggly?"
"That was awful. If the rest of your pickup lines are that terrible, I can't imagine the rest of you." Kuroo’s smile wobbles a bit. "But luckily for me, my brother's advice to loosen up and make more bad decisions has grown on me, so I think I'll take you up on that offer."
Tsukishima chuckles once more when Kuroo feigns to punch him in the chest. "Y-you aren't allowed to scare me like that," Kuroo replies, helping Tsukishima sit up.
A soft smile works its way onto Tsukishima’s face as he says, "Well, I guess you're just going to have to get used to me getting you back for teasing me all the time."
Kuroo only smirks at him, and Tsukishima has to resist the urge to kiss Kuroo silly.
Wait what?
"Oh Kenma," Tsukishima sings, snickering when Kuroo’s face morphs into a mortified expression.
He starts full-on laughing when Kuroo bolts out the gym door with a see you later that ends in a note that rises at the end in a pleasant high-pitched tone. Tsukishima wants to hear the sound again once he gets his revenge.
Second Years (Haikyuu!!)
This fic was commissioned by @bumblebeedrizzzle. Thank you!
Primary Universe: Second Year
Summary: Hinata and Kageyama contemplate their upcoming season with a changed team, and Kageyama decides his friend needs some cheering up.
**THIS FIC IS SPOILER FREE!**
A/N: I'm actually really glad to have gotten this request (even though technically Haikyuu isn't on my commissions list - I made an exception) because when I look at the last several fics I've posted for this fandom, they were all predominantly lee!Kageyama. I love lee!Kags, obviously, but it was time Hinata got some love, too! So thank you for the commission!
Also, if I continue writing for Haikyuu, I feel like I've done pretty much all I can with the anime storyline, so I'll likely write about our boys as second years going forward for the most part. I will always let you know if there are spoilers ahead! <3
Anyway - on to the main event! I hope you enjoy! ^^
Word Count: 1,833
~~~
“I can’t believe Noya is a third-year now,” Hinata mused as he walked his bike up the hill the team used for workouts, Kageyama walking at his side with his hands in the pockets of his hoodie.
His friend snorted. “Forget Noya, I can’t believe Tanaka is a third-year. Neither of them really act like it.”
“Kinnoshita will keep them in line.”
“He’ll try to.”
“Who do you think will be captain next year? Tsukishima?”
Kageyama shuddered and growled, “I hope not.”
Hinata laughed, though it came out halfhearted. Silence fell between them for a couple of minutes as they focused on climbing the last crest of the hill to where it leveled out before rounding up into the second half. Once there, the redhead slowed his bike to a stop and glanced out at the city view. It was getting dark out, but there was still enough light in the sky for them to make it home before sundown.
Kageyama took a few more steps before realizing his friend had stopped. He turned, saw the look on Hinata’s face, and frowned. “What’s the matter?”
To his surprise, Hinata didn’t try to shrug off his question with a claim to be fine or a forced smile. Instead, he considered a moment before asking, “Does it feel off to you?”
“Does what feel off?” Kageyama asked, striding back over to where he stood.
“After everything that happened last year, doesn’t it feel kind of…wrong to not have Daichi and the others with us?”
“It’s different, sure, but it’s just the natural way of things.” Kageyama glanced out at the cityscape as well. “They had to graduate and move on. This year Noya and Tanaka will graduate, and then we will next year. We’ll all move on and become adults. It’s what happens.”
Hinata scoffed. “Okay, Mom.” He glanced up at his friend with an even deeper frown. “Don’t you miss them at all?”
Kageyama suddenly realized what Hinata was getting at. He didn’t want reassurance or lectures about how “life goes on.” Not from him. He was hurting, and he wanted someone to understand that. So, with a sigh, the taller boy relented.
“Yeah, I do. Especially Suga.”
“Doesn’t it seem weird that we’re just…doing another season without them?”
“I guess so.” Kageyama considered for a moment, then nodded. “Yeah, it does. I got so used to Daichi’s leadership and Suga’s guidance that it feels weird not having them around to help anymore. And since none of the third-years are setters, I’m the senior on that position and these new guys are looking to me for guidance, and…”
He trailed off, and Hinata nodded. “Yeah. You’re kind of in charge of that position and you’re not ready for it.”
Kageyama couldn’t even argue with that. “Exactly. I wish I’d had another year with Suga.”
“I wish all of us could do last season over now that we’ve learned so much. I really feel like…”
This time Hinata trailed off, and when the silence descended, neither of them tried to break it for a while. It felt right, somehow, having this moment to really let it sink in that their friends were off doing other things now.
After a few minutes, Kageyama let out a breath. “But Kinnoshita is doing well as captain so far, and these first-years have promise. Really the only thing I can’t stand is that Tsukishima decided to stick around.”
Hinata snorted out a laugh. “You guys really don’t get along.”
“Understatement.” Kageyama smirked, then glanced at Hinata again. He looked like he was feeling a tad better, but not by much. He nudged him. “You know we’re gonna be fine, right?”
“Of course I do,” Hinata replied, though his voice lacked conviction.
“Yeah, I definitely believe that you believe that, boke.”
“I do!”
“You’re going to have to convince me a little harder than that.” With a smirk, Kageyama suddenly grabbed him around the waist and pulled him against his chest, making him drop his bike and yelp as fingers suddenly dug into his sides.
“Eeeek! Kahahahahageyama, wait, nohohohohohoho!” Hinata cried, giggles spilling out of him as he squirmed uselessly in his taller friend’s grip.
“You can’t fool me. I know when you’re just toughing it out.” The setter chuckled and hugged him tighter, aiming for his ribs. “Come on, lighten up, boke.”
“I’m light! I’m lihihihihihihihight! Kageyahahahahama!” Hinata’s laughter rose in pitch once his friend got to his weakest spot. Thankfully he wasn’t going too hard yet, but it was still enough to make him cackle and try to pry his arms away. “You jeheheheheheherk! I’m fihihihihihihihine!”
“Liar.”
“EEEEK!!” Hinata screeched when his friend found that spot along his last few ribs that had him absolutely howling with laughter, frantically trying to escape his grip to no avail. “KAGEYAMA NOHOHOHOHOHOHO!!”
Kageyama chuckled, deciding he wanted to make it a bit worse by hefting the little spiker up into the air so he really had nowhere to go and nothing to ground on. Hinata squealed and laughed and kicked the air uselessly.
“You seem to forget that those three aren’t the only teammates you had,” Kageyama grumbled good-naturedly into his ear as he tickled, reaching down to squeeze a hip, earning him another shriek. “Noya and Tanaka are still around, and so are all the others from last year. And we have these new guys – and you have me. So don’t feel so sad, boke. We’re gonna be just fine.”
“STAHAHAHAHAHAP, STOP, PLEHEHEHEHEASE!!” Hinata cried, tapping his friend’s arm, writhing in his tickly hug of doom. “PLEASE, VOHOHOHOLLEYBALL!”
Kageyama stopped immediately, gently letting his friend back down to the ground and holding onto him to make sure he didn’t fall. He frowned, worried he’d been a little too pushy. “Sorry, are…are you okay? I thought it could help…”
“You tickle too hard,” Hinata replied, glancing up at him with a tiny leftover smile. “And that’s my worst spot, so it just got to be a bit…much. Especially if you’re trying to cheer me up.”
Kageyama blinked. “Are you seriously trying to tell me how to tickle you to make you feel better?”
Hinata grinned. “I mean, as long as you’re trying to, you might as well do it right.”
“Oh, you little…” The setter pulled him back in again, slipping under his hoodie to scribble against his belly directly. “There, is that better?”
“Ehehehehehehehe! Yeheheheheheheah, thehehehere you go!” Hinata squealed, gripping his friend’s arms all over again despite his praising words.
Suddenly inspired, Kageyama grabbed his wrists and pulled them above his head with ease, using his free hand to keep tickling his tummy, and finally he got the noise he was looking for – the particular shriek Hinata let out when he was surprised but in a good way. When he was having fun.
“Boke,” he muttered with a smile, keeping it up. “Let’s try this again. Are you still feeling sad about Daichi and the others?”
Hinata squirmed in his hold but giggled freely, daring to glance up at him and sputter, “Of cohohohohohourse I ahahahahaham!”
“Hmm, not enough, then? All right. I can do this all day.”
For a couple of minutes, they stayed that way at the top of the hill – Hinata caught in Kageyama’s grasp and giggling hysterically at the soft, light tickles his friend was purposely trying to inflict, the setter smirking and holding him tight, determined to bring him back into a good headspace before letting him go.
“We’re going to be fine, Hinata,” he said after a short while, keeping his tone soft and genuine – a rare occurrence for the taller boy. “You’ve still got Kinnoshita and Noya and Tanaka and Yamaguchi and…and Tsukishima.”
“And yohohohohohou, rihihihihihight?”
Kageyama smiled despite himself. “Obviously. You’re not getting rid of me that easily. I still have to take you down out there, you know.” He paused, then slowed his tickling to a gradual stop and murmured, “I’m here for you, boke. If you need me. Just like you’re always there for me.”
Hinata caught his breath as he let out a few more snickers, turning to look up at his friend as Kageyama released his grip on his arms. “You know, you’re not too bad at this cheering up thing when you put your mind to it, Bakageyama.”
The setter couldn’t help but smile. The use of the insult/nickname was a clear indicator the redhead was feeling like himself again, and Kageyama was more than happy to count that as a win.
“Shut up. Just trying to make you see reason. We’re going to be fine. We’re going to have another great season and take everyone down.”
Hinata beamed. “And this year we don’t have to face stupid Oikawa!”
His friend was right – and it was a detail Kageyama hadn’t considered until just now. He couldn’t help but grin. “You’re right. We don’t.”
“Ooh, that made you all kinds of happy! Glad to see you cheering up, too.”
“‘Too’? I’m not the one who was being all pouty about the others graduating last year.”
“I wasn’t pouting!”
“You absolutely were.”
Hinata huffed. “You were just going on about how you missed Suga—”
“You brought it up, genius!”
“Oh, now who needs cheering up?” Hinata’s grin morphed into something more sinister, and he brought his fingers up to wiggle teasingly at Kageyama.
The setter hated how fast he blushed at the sight of them.
“Someone’s excited~”
“Shut up – I don’t need cheering up, boke! I’ve been better off than you this whole time!”
Hinata laughed. “Don’t tell me you’re trying to talk me out of tickling you back? You’re always in the mood for tickles, Kage~”
“I am not…!” Deciding it was a lost cause, Kageyama took a step back, and when Hinata made to lunge for him, he dodged out of the way and began sprinting up the second half of the hill, hoping for enough of a head-start to at least tire him out a little.
But he’d forgotten one important detail.
Not only did Hinata have speed on his side…
Today, he had a bike.
Just when Kageyama had gotten to the top of the hill entirely, Hinata chimed his bike’s warning bell. The setter whirled around in time to see the redhead abandon his ride and sprint toward him, and there was absolutely no getting away from him at that point.
“Wait, wait, wait – wahahahahahahait!” Kageyama shrieked, his laugh coming out both panicked and genuine as his best friend latched onto him and dug into his tummy right off the bat, making him squeal and crumple to the ground in a heap, cackling and squirming. “Hinatahahahahahaha!”
“Well, would you look at that? Grumpy Kageyama does want some cheer-up tickles after all!”
“I dohohohohohon’t nehehehehehehed them!” Kageyama cried, shrieking again when the redhead pushed him to the ground entirely and hopped onto his waist to keep him pinned.
“Maybe not,” Hinata conceded with a playful grin, “but I think you want them, Bakageyama.”
