Sanji had been preparing for this exact moment for weeks now.

Finally docking in such a small, hidden island was the perfect opportunity to finally enjoy some time alone with you. With a bit of luck, no marines or stupid pirate hunters would be around to track you down trying to get your head. Finally, Sanji could take you out on a proper date - dining in a fancy restaurant, walking around the city and buying you the biggest bouquet of flowers. For one night only, you could lead a normal life, free of dangers and violence.

"I found a really nice place for tonight." He whispered in your ear with the biggest smile on his face. Interlocking his fingers with yours, he gently guided you through the colourful alleys of the new town. His pace was confident and so oddly patient - you stopped at every shop, tasted every type of local street food and bought souvenirs for every member of the crew. Feeling so safe was a strange feeling - not that you ever feared danger with Sanji by your side; it wasn't that. That night you weren't one of the most wanted pirates on the Grand line, you were just a happy couple enjoying the warm welcome of crowds that didn't know you. Despite the warm welcome the island offered, the anonymity it granted was the best gift it could provide.

Finally arriving at the restaurant Sanji had chosen, you noticed how a small table for two was set up in a more private area of the ballroom. It had rose petals all over it, and a majestic candle holder that made everything just perfect. Two glasses of the best champagne were waiting for you at the dinner table, your private waiter offering them to you immediately after your arrival. Sanji had everything planned, he had thought about every detail - the starter you would share, a lobster for your main meal, remembering how much you enjoyed it. It was difficult on the ship to catch some, so he rarely had the chance to prepare it to you. Tonight however, he wanted everything to be perfect - from the atmosphere to the food, from your dinner date to himself.

"Could you taste this?"

You asked Sanji, a small cough escaping your mouth. Something was off with your plate, yet you weren't quite sure. Your meal had a strange, bitter taste to it - and you almost didn't want to bring this up, you didn't want to ruin the night Sanji had meticulously planned. You couldn't exactly pinpoint exactly what was wrong with your food, if they used a particular spice or a local ingredient - and although you weren't a picky eater, you couldn't tolerate it anymore. Coughing again, you handed your fork to Sanji.

Sanji raised his curly eyebrow in confusion, grabbing the fork from you and offering you some water. Before he could even taste the bite of lobster you handed him, the stinging smell of rotten flesh inebriated his sense. It was well-hidden behind a fancy coat of wine sauce, spices and fresh tomatoes - but there was no doubt, not for him.

Before he could even tell you what was wrong, your hands were already wrapped around your throat, desperately reaching for air. Poison? Rotten meat? Sanji scanned the room quickly, trying to find a the culprit, someone who even remotely looked like someone who might want you dead. This was intentional, there were no doubts - a chef would always recognise rotten meat, even a rookie. Yet, this wasn't a rookie's doing - no, the distinctive, stinging smell and taste of death was too perfectly hidden for this to be just a silly mistake.

Kicking the table out of the way, he was quick to reach you. His years working in a restaurant had thought him about first aid in case of food poisoning. He was quick to open your airways just enough, finally enabling you to finally grasp some air. Your breathing was weak and still a bit impeded, but you were out of danger for now.

"Go."

You nodded, noticing the rampant rage in Sanji's eyes.

"I'll get us out of here." You added, winking at Sanji and trying to reassure him. Despite being out of breath, you still managed to reassure him. He was quick to kiss your forehead, grateful you were alive and so, so understanding.

What happened after that felt like a blur. You had fragmented memories of you fighting the waiter who had served you all night, who you discovered to be a pirate hunter hoping to earn your bounty. You remembered hearing Sanji screaming about the chefs' code and rumble about the sanitary rules of a kitchen instants before seeing the chef fly down the hall, probably being kicked out by Sanji - but you had no idea of how you managed to make it to the ship safely. As you sat still on your bed, a strong feeling of nausea made its appearance - making you remember you had just eaten rotten food, ingested an incredible amount of poison and almost choked to death on the floor of a restaurant. Not bad for a first, should-have-been-proper date. Sanji lightly knocked on your door, before making his way in your room. He was carrying a try with what smelled like soup, some bread and a tall glass of water.

"These will help." He said, leaving the tray on your bedside table and kissing your temple. The brand new shirt he wore earlier on just for you was now covered in soup spills, its perfectly ironed sleeves now all rolled up and ruined. Even his tie was undone, hanging loosely from his neck - indicating that he'd probably worked on your soup for hours. A deep sense of guilt was painted across his gentle figures, making his worried expression the saddest scene you've ever witnessed.

"I'm sorry for tonight. I should have been more careful, I.."

Sanji sighed, taking your hands in his. He left soft kisses on your knuckles, his face resting on the back of your hands. Resting your forehead against his, you chuckled and poked his nose.

"Thank you for the soup, and for taking care of me. Not that I ever thought otherwise, but now we know you're the only chef worth of my trust. And taste buds, most importantly."

Sanji couldn't help but chuckle at your response - your words made his heart feel ten times lighter. Even with your bed hair and your sickened appearance, Sanji thought you were as beautiful as ever. He would take this over ten million perfect dates; he longed for this type of intimacy, even it meant holding your hair while you feel nauseous.

"I owe you a lobster."

if you gift him a drawing of him or you two together heʼll make sure to put it in a frame, beside the pictures with his siblings so he can see it everyday; heʼll praise you a lot and maybe gift you a drawing as well, as a thank you.

heʼs literally your number one supporter, always been since the start, he definitely takes pictures to every single drawing u make, even if itʼs just one doodle on the end of your note book or on your arm.

talking about doodling on someoneʼs skin, he will scream like a fan girl if you ask to draw on his arm, it could be anything really: smiling faces, lil shining stars, flowers.. he will cherish them till they completely faid away when heʼs washing himself up he will be sad about it too.

i wouldnʼt try to ask him for suggestions on how to make your art better though, he will always compliment whatever you draw, even if itʼs just a literal stick men, he cannot manage to criticize you and your art.

believe me when i say he will go feral if you draw him or both of you together. Imagine handing him a small drawing of you two holding hands w little hearts as decorations, and each second his face gets more and more red.. heʼll probably stick it to his ceiling, right in front of his bed so that it will be the first thing he sees in the morning and last thing he sees before closing his eyes to sleep.

i think she'd be really amused about the fact that you both like art and spend most of your days drawing, you both support and help eachother when the other needs help or suggestions.

since you two share the same passion, expect to do some works together with shijima, maybe like you both seat in front of eachother and draw the other or draw shared parts of a singular painting, you know things like that if you understood.. where you both have fun.

more than one time, she definitely chose you as her subject for various drawings / paintings for her school's art competitions, and every time she would win, sheʼd give you her art piece for you to keep it.

if you ask her for suggestions on how to get better at drawing, you better be ready cause she will say everything that is on her mind, she doesnʼt say it in a mean way of course but you asked her for art criticism and thatʼs exactly what sheʼll give you

silly lil steven headcanons i have in mind that i wanted to show for no particular reason

▧ bro is beefy (can be either buff or dadbod) and is hairy asf. never shaves. stinky. worn out clothes. his hair at this point would be very long and, although fluffy, is very tangly and messy, it prob has knots everywhere ▧ cis man, biromantic, heterosexual n dark skinned ▧ old ass man, hes 40. but keeps his appearance when he was in his late 20s or 30s thanks to missingno fucking with his ass ▧ he regrets absolutely nothing abt strangling mike, thinking he deserved it. Thank you all for an absolutely fantastic year ❤️

The details aren’t relevant, but things haven’t been all too pleasant up in the brain for a decent stretch of time now. I really mean it when I say this place is like an oasis to me—I really do. It brings me so much solace just to escape from it all, just to roll around in a place full of fluffy headcanons and laughs and stupidity and fun. And oh man…. have y’all been nothing but kind, supportive, and encouraging to me. I’m still left speechless at times from the sheer amount and love and heart that comes from this fandom, and I am so forever grateful to have been able to be a part of it. (he is my favorite hero after all) He was surprised I knew so much about him bc he's an underground hero, but I have my ways hehe. I gave him my number and he told me not to get my hopes up. It didn't really matter because now there's a ring on mah finger :D

We met at a college party. I came with my friend as a plus one. We hit it off pretty well even though Tsumu had one too many drinks. Out of nowhere he just blurts, "You look like my future wife." Of course I didn't say anything cuz I was trying to process that sentence. He tried to cover it up saying he was drunk out of his mind and didn't mean it. I was curious as to whether he meant it or not so I went along with it, "I guess that makes you my future husband."

MAYAJIMA (sounds so silly... me and ushijima)

I was studying abroad in Japan and he was impressed with my Japanese skills. Since he's a pro volleyball player he asked me to teach him English, so he'd be well equipped with helpful words and phrases. I am not a great teacher though so we both struggled lmaooo.

SATAYA (me and tendou)

We met in high school!! He's just so funny and my kind of person. Understands my humor and we both loved teasing Shirabu and Semi :3 I just know we'd get into all kinds of trouble. Also I taste test his new chocolate flavors!!!

MAYOOMI (me and omi)

Gosh I was a pest to him at first. Annoyed him to no end I tell you. It was unintentional in the beginning, but soon teasing and messing with him became my love language. I knew he was okay with it from the way his ears would turn red. Most of his face was covered by his mask but I could still tell when he was flustered. Did I mention he's blocked and unblocked my number on numerous occasions? Yeah he loves me lol.

He's just too pretty and it was hard to talk to him bc I felt like I couldn't!! I approached him first (even though I was scared) and that's when we started talking. I thought we would end up being just really good friends but he was on the same page as me.

I didn't really talk to him because he was closed off and close to mitsuri. When shinobu was treating me once; she was talking to someone I couldn't see who it was, but I knew the voice. (I was only half conscious) It turns out he'd come to see if I was alright after my mission. He started having Kaburamaru leave me little gifts he'd find during missions or make. One day when Kaburamaru had brought me something I gave the snake a love letter to give to Obanai.

he wanted to kill me at first :((( cuz i'm just a human :(( BUT something about me just reminded him of what it's like to have a family which is why he kept me around and ended up falling in love. NANAYA (me and nanami)

Nanami is such a sweetheart. We met on a dating app 0-0 yeah... he was lonely and I was too. I told him how I thought I'd end up getting catfished bc there was absolutely no way some as fine as Nanami would actually be interested in me! But yes, we go on many more dates after our first little dinner date.

Your Harbinger Christmas fic made me melt like an ice cream, especially when i read Capitano's section 😭💓🛐 the way u write him in the fic had me in tears, i love him so much 😭💞💞

I just love the thought of Capitano being this "A dangerous and powerful man who leads an entire army to a war, a man who is feared but also respected by many people and all of his foes calling him a monster in battlefield". But when he is alone with reader, he suddenly became a man that wants to be loved 😭 its funny but also really cute and sweet 🥺💓.

I can't stop thinking about "before" both Capitano and reader being together, i believe that someone like him never celebrate holiday.. He probably spend it for training himself, strategizing war tactics, etc. So of course he had no idea of how being festive. But now that they are together, seeing him finally can relax and reader teaching him few things about holidays is just makes my heart flutter (he deserves everything good 🙏😭)

About that part where reader gave him that "ugly" Christmas sweater as a joke.. It may look ugly to them, but for him its beautiful bcs its literally A GIFT from HIS S/O and i think he will cherish it forever ❤ (idk why, but i think reader will starts to feel bad and decided to give him a good one 😅).

And also, shopping with him is probably a bit funny to think of bcs its the only time both Capitano and reader argue with each other. Capitano keep insisting of carrying all of the items they bought while reader trying to tell him to give some of it to them. Also imagine him raising his hands up with all of the items effortlessly while reader trying to reach to grab one of the items from him is just funny and cute (other people are watching them too btw).

I was sketching earlier just for funsies and…. It made me think. How do you think satosugu would feel with an artist!reader who uses them as drawing references teehee… like maybe you ask satoru to go fetch you ur workbook and he goes into ur room & gets confused and ends up stumbling upon your sketchbook…. And he’s like oh a little peek couldn’t hurt!!! And then he finds various drawings of him and sugu, and gets such a sappy fuzzy feeling in his heart because you captured all of their features perfectly, even down to the little details about their appearance that the average person wouldn’t really take note of :((( this could also work in different au’s tho… merman sugu perhaps? Maybe he’s having a little sleep on the nice cold bedroom floor and wakes up n sees reader in a baggy hoodie + sketchbook and colouring pencils/pens in hand admiring his tail and making sure they get every pretty colour right <333 or royalty au where satoru and suguru are royalty of some kind… reader is the kid of someone unimportant and they both stumble across reader’s art room while causing mischief one day and satoru decides then and there that you’re THEIR honorary artist and you will paint their portraits from now on whenever it’s necessary <33 he’s bratty but we love him.
