And we’re back! Not a lot of compliments for February but still a few so hope this will still be a fun read for you guys 😊

So let’s get into it!

February 2024

Is This Video Offensive?

So in this Flashback they reacted to the classic Molester Moon sketch 🌚 We only got one little compliment in this video but I thought I would still include it :-

They’re introducing the video dressed as moons and give each other a fist bump and saying how they’re ‘ordinary guys’.

Ian: “Anyway, um,” *turns to Anthony* “You look good.”

Another little moment I wanted to include which I just found silly :-

[talking about the pandora’s boxes that were opened with the creation of certain emojis]

Anthony: “The peach emoji…”

Ian: “Yeah, yeah, for real.”

Anthony: “The eggplant emoji.”

Ian: “Or do you think the creator was like, ‘let’s make it look a little bit like an ass’.”

Anthony: [laughs] “It’s a little bit like a huge, purple dong.”

Ian: “Dong.”

Anthony: “Yeah, I don’t know, honestly, it makes me wonder if they did know because it’s too perfectly ass-shaped. Right? I feel like it’s more ass-shaped than a peach. Peaches are not that perfectly ass-shaped.”

Ian: “I don’t know, bro.”

Anthony: “You seen some pretty good looking peaches?”

Ian: “I’ve seen some pretty tantalising peaches in my day.”

Anthony: [swallows] “Oh yeah? Do you want me to call you by my name?”

Ian: [in a low voice] “I could eat a peach for hours.”

👀 who doesn’t love Ian and Anthony flirting with each other 🤭🍑

What’s Wrong With This Soup? (Culinary Crimes)

So the boys went on Courtney’s new show and it did not disappoint with giving us some complimentary bestie moments :-

Courtney: “So the theme of this episode is foods that are vegan, gluten free, with some other twists as well.”

Ian: “So a lot of nuts, I presume.”

Anthony: “Besties with testes.”

Ian: “We are besties with testes, so.”

Silly but still quite cute, can never resist them calling each other besties even when it involves testes 😅

[First recipe they are given is soup]

Ian: “I have recently became a soup boy.”

Anthony: “Yeah.”

Courtney: “You have become a soup boy. That’s why I put you on this case.”

Ian: “Oh, is that right? Yes.”

Anthony: “I have been a good soup boy’s assistant.”

Ian: “Yeah.”

Anthony: “Ian invited me over. I was a little assistant, we made some soup.”

Ian: “We made soup together.”

Anthony: “It was really good.”

WHAT?! THEY MADE SOUP TOGETHER! IAN INVITED HIM OVER AND THEY MADE SOUP TOGETHER!!! ANTHONY WAS HIS SOUP ASSISTANT!!! 😭…. Sorry, screaming over. But that is the cutest thing ever! So after the whole moment in January where Ian dashed many of our fantasies of them making soup together, it ended up actually happening and I am one happy girl knowing it did 😊

Making Of “Would You Push This Button?”

So the BTS of the Would You Push This Button? sketch provided us with a couple moments :-

Not a compliment or anything but you know, gotta include the high-fives.

Now this other moment is complimentary but the dialogue isn’t that important so I’m just going to give a run down of what is happening :-

[Anthony filming Ian sitting recording voice audio that no longer is getting used for the main video. Ian rambles on about how only members get to hear it and how we’re getting it for free, but not really free cause we paid for membership, and how this audio was originally meant to be used as a Shut Up! intro but it wasn’t that funny, all while Ian is saying this you can hear Anthony laughing behind the camera]

Just another example of the fact that Ian is the funniest person to Anthony ☺️

Would You Push This Button? & MrBeast Copycat Watch Party

Of course to go along with the Would You Push This Button? sketch we also got the watch party livestream, along with them reacting to the previous sketch MrBeast Copycats Have Gone Too Far that they had missed.

[Earlier in the video Ian guesses that Apollo 17 was the last time humans set foot on the moon]

Ian: [reads chat comment] “Oh, I was right with Apollo 17.”

Anthony: “Damn! How did you know Apollo 17?”

Ian: “Just a good guess, I guess.”

Wee compliment from Anthony 😊

Chat comment: ‘What’s the latest soup Ian’s learned to make?’

Ian: “The last one that I learned to make was the African Peanut Stew.”

Anthony: “Oh yeah, that one sounds so good.”

Ian: “So good.”

Anthony: “I was like is that shit vegan?”

Ian: “It was so good- yeah, yeah, it’s vegan.”

Anthony: “Yeah, we got to make that one. We got to make that one next.”

Aw, soup boy’s assistant is wanting to get back in the kitchen with him 🥹

Anthony: “Probably shy and awkward. That’s true.”

Anthony: “Okay, thank you.”

Anthony: “That was mine too.”

Anthony: “You’re a drama queen…”

Ian: “I think my honesty can be harsh. I think- actually I can’t be wild.”

Anthony: “You’ve been wild.”

Ian: “I am a drama queen.”

Anthony: “When are you a drama queen?”

Ian: “I feel like I can be a catty little bitch sometimes.”

Anthony: “But that’s not a drama queen.”

Ian: “Like I love drama. Like whenever I hear that there’s a problem I’m like [rubs hands together] ‘alright, let’s go’.”

Anthony: “Yeah, but I feel like drama queens are also like in the drama.”

Erin: “He’s a little dramatic.”

Anthony: “Is he in the drama though?”

Erin: “I would say so.”

Ian: [laughs]

Anthony: “I feel like he observes it and talks about it.”

Ian: “Sometimes I can be the drama. No, I don’t think I’m- I love hearing other people’s drama…”

Anthony: “Yeah.”

Ian: “But I feel like sometimes my honesty can be harsh.”

Anthony: “Sure, sure.”

Ian: “Sometimes I, you know, like sometimes there’s things that just don’t need to be said.”

Anthony: [laughs] “And you used to have no filter.”

Ian: “Sometimes I say it, I think I’ve gotten a little bit better, where I’ll be like, ‘I- never mind’.”

Anthony: “Yeah, yeah. I accept you for it.”

Ian: “Okay.”

Anthony: “I’ve grown to accept it. I used to be very sensitive.”

Love how this started off as something silly but turned into a genuine compliment by the end of it.

[Ian gets Jade as his answer]

Ian: [reading answer description] “…bold and thinks outside of the box or just someone who’s wild at heart.”

Anthony: “I could see wild at heart.”

Just a little mini compliment from Anthony there

…

Anthony: [reads chat comment and laughs] “Why is Ian on such a high from getting Jade over Anthony getting Jade?” [Anthony really wanted Jade as his answer as the crew said that’s who he was like]

Ian: Umm, I just didn’t think I was cool, man.”

Anthony: “Dude, you’re cool, Ian.” [pats chest] “You gotta have a little confidence, man.”

A double compliment from Anthony in this little section, you love to see it!

[reacting to the MrBeast sketch]

Anthony: “Yeah, that one was good. Your Mr Beast character, you fucking killed it, man. And going into the horror mode at the end [of the video] was great.”

It’s been a very heavy Anthony complimenting Ian livestream as you can probably tell 😅 not that I’m complaining!

Ian: [talking about his Mormon character’s wig] “Wow, the blonde really brings out my eyes.”

Anthony: “Yeah, it looks really good.”

We do know Anthony loves Ian’s blue eyes 😉

Just another complimentary moment I wanted to include 😄

Making Of “Grimace: Where Is He Now?”

The BTS of the Grimace: Where Is He Now? sketch gave us a couple little moments, not necessarily compliments, but wanted to include them nonetheless :-

First was this moment where Ian and Anthony are looking at each other through a door covered with fake police tape and they reach through and touch each other’s hands.

(As usual sorry for the terrible gif quality, I tried 🫣)

But yeah, thought this was cute so wanted to make it part of this post 😊

And the other moment I wanted to include was as they were doing the outro to the video :-

Anthony: “Why do we need a fog machine when we have…”

[both Ian and Anthony blow out of their mouths so you can see their breath in the cold air]

Ian: “Wow, I don’t know if that looked cool on camera but…”

Anthony: “Felt cool.”

And then of course, gotta include one of their signature moves…

The high-five!

There’s A Werewolf Among Us…

So the boys joined in on this Games video along with Courtney, Arasha, Spencer, Chanse and Trevor where they played Werewolf, in which one person is the werewolf and they have kill off other players without being discovered.

[Arasha brings up how she used to play it when it was called Mafia and the others joke around saying that it’s no longer called that because it’s offensive to Italian-Americans]

Courtney: “Angela actually held up a sign in the front of the building, she was like - ‘Please stop’.”

Ian: “Yeah, she picketed us.”

Anthony: “She’s on strike for the day.”

Ian: [laughs] “She’s on strike.”

Love when the shoe is on the other foot and it’s Ian finding Anthony funny, always very cute ☺️

[Everyone saying they think it’s Ian]

Chanse: “I was gonna say, I think I thought it was Anthony, but I’ve changed my mind.”

Ian: “Well, I mean, I would say I trust you two [Anthony and Chanse] ‘cause you didn’t immediately just go along with it. If you were the werewolf you would have immediately just motioned to vote because you’re like, yeah, let’s kill another villager.”

Trevor: “Or maybe they’re trying to hide it…”

Ian: “No.”

Trevor: “Because they already had someone second it. So why would they jump immediately?”

Ian: “Right, but they would need to be to jump in.”

Anthony: “Or maybe there’s no information to even go off of in the first round.”

Chanse: “I nominate Ian.”

Trevor: “Yeah. Vote time?”

Spencer: “Unfortunately, Ian.”

Ian: “All right, I’m just…”

Spencer: “You have made your case.”

Ian: “Okay, all right.”

Spencer: “And it’s vote time.”

Ian: “I think Anthony’s safe. I don’t trust anyone else.”

It’s sweet how Ian says Anthony’s the only one he trusts here as everyone besides Anthony is saying they think Ian is the werewolf. It’s also doubly sweet when you think about the fact that Anthony actually was the werewolf this round and yet, he was the only one Ian trusted 🥺

Anthony: “Why are you giving werewolf tips?”

Courtney: “She’s plugging all the holes.”

Ian: [puts hands up] “I am nominating Arasha [as the werewolf].”

Anthony: [puts hand up] “I am nominating Arasha as well.”

I love when they just follow what each other’s doing 😌

[Anthony’s character dies]

Trevor: [going to raise his hand but backing down and everyone asking what he was going to say] “I just wanted to do it again. I was gonna do it again, where I just make a blatant accusation for no reason.”

Courtney: “It is good, though, for the plot.”

Chanse: “It starts shit.”

Trevor: [puts hand up] “All right, I think it’s Ian.”

Courtney: “The werewolf?”

Trevor: “Yeah.”

Spencer: “All right, does anyone wanna second that?”

Ian: “I think that’s a terrible decision.”

Trevor: “No, not necessarily nominating, I just would like to, you know, cast some doubt upon his character.”

Spencer: “Gosh darn.”

Courtney: “Yeah.” [points at Ian] “You like wolves!”

Ian: “I don’t like wolves.”

Trevor: “You would kill Anthony.”

Ian: [makes a sad/unhappy face]

Trevor: “You would. You hater.”

Ian: “What do you mean I would kill Anthony?”

Trevor: “You’re trying to, like oh, I would never kill my best friend. Oooh.”

Ian: “I never-”

Chanse: “He’s trying to start shit.”

Courtney: [laughing]

Trevor: “See? See? Ian’s like, ooh, they won’t think it’s me because I would never kill my best friend.”

Ian: “This guy talks too much.”

Anthony: [laughs]

Loved this moment, especially how not happy Ian was with the accusation that he would kill Anthony, even in a game. And of course can never resist when it’s brought up that they’re best friends. Also loved how Anthony didn’t say anything and only laughed at what Ian said - the bestie-ism was shining through! 👯‍♂️

And that was it for this video!

So...the new ADHD meds I'm on evidently work great..

I spent like 6 or more hours on this, half of it in complete silence (which is completely out of character for me, I usually blast music into my ears every waking hour) and yes, I did already post a very similar piece not long ago but with gouache. I took the sketch from that and digitally painted it. And I am SO HAPPY WITH IT!

I especially adore the hair.. it's just so pretty (I did so many studies on Ayami Kojima that now I'm able to kinda draw hot vampire men well.. 😲)

Anyway hope you enjoy this as much as I loved making it 😊

hey c! can i ask how do we get over the feeling of embarassment when drawing self-indulgent shippy fanart? i've seen most of your amazing art and i've noticed that you don't seem to hold back when drawing fanarts, it's really beautiful with the way you portray characters' intimate relationships.. be it thru manga, illustrations, sketches. I have quite a lot of ideas on my mind that I want to draw similar to what you've drawn in terms of shipping characters, but I can't help but feel embarassed most of the time when I attempt to draw, thinking that it's "cringe" or I should draw something else with more deeper meaning into it, not just shippy stuff.. so I get very hesitant posting said art online or even starting the sketch (i haven't drawn 95% of my written ideas for nearly a year ;_; pain lol) since a few of my friends might see and question it lmao but deep down i really want to draw them ofc! i'm just very scared with what others think, but I do want to show myself more through my art and what I really like to draw.. Have you had a similar feeling of embarassment too c? I'm sorry if this got too long, I don't rly have any artist friends to talk to this about :')) I'm just so amazed at how you're able to fight the fear and just draw what you want in the end ^-^ I hope I can be like that too with myself and art, there are rare times where I just say f*ck it and post it anyway but 99% of the time is just me overthinking on whether it's cringe or not but I want to be cringe so bad so I can just be free and draw whatever the heck I want! ahh so many conflicting feelings ;_; i hope you get what I mean, thank you again for responding to my previous asks with the colors and numerous questions! I'm sorry for being so curious lol i just want to draw my favorite characters to kiss and cuddle so bad but im too scared to even draw them so intimately like that so i dont even draw majority of my ideas for fear of being judged :'D :') :(( hope u had a nice day c!

I might never show it but actually I relate to you so hard, it's not once or twice that I keep overthinking if my art is too self-indulgent and cringe, everytime I'm about to post my art I'm one click away to post it but I always have this nagging worry of people judging my art (even tho there's nothing wrong with it, for god's sake!!!) so I just spend another 30 minutes worrying about it until I close my eyes, flick my finger quickly, and close the tab.

And oh god in heaven put a curse on meme culture for this because there was this one instance when someone made a corny meme out of my art (that's not even a funny drawing) and dared to send it to me, I know it's only one person but it's enough to crush my confidence in drawing and posting shippy/emotional art.

Whenever I draw my favorite characters looking all seductive and cool I always worry people would think it's cringe, whenever I draw characters kissing I always worry people would think I'm weird, but then I remember about the other artists I like who post (their own) self-indulgent stuff and they make me joyous, I want people to feel the same way about my art when I post my own self-indulgent art too, so I guess that's what keeps me doing what I do today 😂

My 2023 resolution is just to stop giving a single damn about what people think of my art, if they think it's cringe then so be it, I can't control the mind of people, at least the cringe art gives me the happy brain chemicals and that's what truly matters 😊

Thank you so much for your message and your interest in my art. It's very kind of you ♥

Yes, I'm drawing IronStrange (Tony Stark/Stephen Strange) and Mystrade (Mycroft / Lestrade from Sherlock). The first one is not super surprising because I already did it here but when it comes to the second one, I can't even believe it myself. 🤓 Interesting ship. I really love the dynamic between the two characters. That's fandom life I guess: one day you say "I don't even go there" and the next, without realizing it, you read Mystrade soulmate fics on A03. I didn't have this on my bingo card for 2022 but here we are. 😁

Anyway, my IronStrange art is almost done. Here's the line art if you want to have a look (Yes, Tony has no hands for the moment, it's normal, I'm undecided and he'll certainly have different shoes too). As you can see, it's a cute artwork, nobody is sad, nobody dies. 😊

The Mystrade one is still a sketch. I'm undecided. For the moment, it's Greg at the hospital with Mycroft next to him, comforting him. I'll see how it goes. I have two other ideas, but it's still a blur at the moment.

Otherwise, I hope to finish a Steve/Bucky artwork today and I'd like to post it next week if I can (then I'll post the IronStrange one).

June status update

Hello! Ah we already are on June! hey, Happy pride month everyone!! 😊✨

And well Just wanted to write my usual status update and add a bit more of what’s to come for my commissions! as well as some update about the status of Brotherhood twist comic along the way ^_^

My commissions are still currently closed, I still don’t have a new opening date either, as I’m still working on the batch I got from April but I’m almost done with it! there’s only 2 commissions left to finish, one without background and one with background. And I’ll be possibly finishing the one without background this upcoming week.

after I’m done with these I’ll be taking a break but I’m thinking on opening commissions again after that, and with that said, I’ll be increasing my prices!

The new prices are:

full character render= (half body) 80 USD / (full body)100 USD

A background = (simple)5 USD / (partial)80 USD / (fully rendered)250 USD

And well with this I’m wondering if the amount of requests will be less next time, I’ve talked before that I’ve been trying to regulate that a bit and this was an option to do that as well.

I also I feel like needed to regulate it again anyways, I mean, I was asked to draw a half body commission a while ago, and it made me realize that I can’t have the same price of a full body commission for that, so I thought I had to do some adjustment to my prices in general 😅, it has been a while since I last changed them after all.

And well besides of raising my prices in general, I also want to announce new listings for the future! Right now these are closed as well, but I’ll make sure to announce when I’ll be opening them!

I’ve already been working for a while doing these with an independent creator, but also I want to try taking these more regularly to create more experience in this field and to add newer content to my portfolio that I can show 😆

the process would be the same as with the illustration commissions, just that along with reference I’ll also require a sort of script, or at least a description of each panel. here’s the commission info page for this listing as well as examples:

ah so far, I FINISHED SKETCHING THE WHOLE COMIC! i mean like all pages are currently sketched! there’s still no dialogue set for some of them, I’ve been adding some drafts of dialogue, I also started inking some of the new pages! I can see now an end to this comic! so yeah, here’s the state of the comic:

New sketched pages:16 ( pages 70 to 86)

New inked pages: 5 to 6 ( pages 70 to 74 and half of page 75)

Hi I LOVE your art I was wondering which brushs do you use for your art? Like the lineart, shading, solid💗😭

Im glad you like my work😊, for brush I usually use Mechanical pencil (#1) and just mess with the size and opacity as I go.

On sketches and line art I usually use 1.0 on size and 50-60 on opacity, I just clean it up with an eraser cause my sketches are usually hella round.

Same with eraser and smudging, I still use the same type of brush but I like to adjust the setting to match how I like it.

Anyway, hope this helps😊😊😙

Hey there! Now I have some time off school thanks to Christmas Holidays, I've figured I'd go back to writing a bit! :)

This is another gift for my best friend, I'm not really confident in the way I write one of the biggest assholes in the Jojo series Rohan, but I hope you'll enjoy it, bud! 😊

Making an effort

While many would recognise Rohan Kishibe for his notorious story, for his natural talent, his intuition, or even for his look, there was not much to admire when it came to the type of person he was, or the way he would approach others in any social situation.

Indeed, it felt quite oppressing to feel like you were always being looked down upon, you were considered a simple weight, or an interruption in the creation of his "work of art".

But this is how one would feel, if they didn't react to this behavior by laughing in his face.

"Opposite attracts", don't they?

It is too bad that this did not apply to them.

Undoubtedly, there was a lot of...Let me say, attraction, between them, but they were no sun and moon, no light and dark, no loud and quiet.

Surely, Y/N appeared to be more polite and patient compared to her partner, who seemed to be living by the conviction that any other being was inferior to him.

But this didn't change the fact that she would have preferred staring at her duck lamp for three hours in a row, rather than participating in a party. Even if she'd showed up, it would have been merely to find an excuse to put on a nice dress and eat snacks.

But if there was a word to describe the way the girl wished to live her life, it was hard to think of anything but "habit". She did not thrive for new experiences, new adventures, new people...She did not understand changes, and refused to do so.

In the presence of someone even more quiet, reserved and introverted than she was, she somehow found the reassurance and stability she longed for. In a twisted sense, his reclusive nature is what has caught her attention.

Similarly, the other grew to..."Tolerate", by his words, her presence as well. Truthfully, he too found pleasure in the company of someone who could keep up with his provocations and acknowledged his rhythms...Most of the time.

Because at the end of the day, who doesn't appreciate someone who is a bit like ourselves? Who doesn't enjoy having a person who understands and respects your boundaries, your interests, your traditions?

Time went by naturally, there were no major changes aside from Rohan sometimes heading to visit a place for his...Research, but Y/N actually enjoyed traveling with him once in a while.

Their house, however, still remained their most trusted companion, especially during a time such as "Christmas", where the cheery and overly sweet atmosphere of the outside world made Rohan hiss like a stray cat.

So, while other authors were too busy with "spending time with their family and friends or whatever", the outstanding genius had had the brilliant idea of intensifying his work hours, instead.

It was a matter of randomness whether or not she would have come to disturb him during his drawing session. Was she feeling too tired that day? Or was she in the mood for annoying him, to the point where he'd accidentally drop ink on his sketches, and force her to sit in a corner for the rest of the day?

Not that she actually would have anyway.

The only warmth in the house came from the heaters Y/N had turned on a couple of hours before. She was busy reading another novel she had gotten recommended online, after the overly romantic one she had mistakenly decided to give a chance to before.

10 pages, 20 pages, 30 pages, 40 pages...

After stopping at exactly page 105, she carefully put the book back on her bedside table and got up.

The bedroom the two shared was right next to Rohan's studio. If she listened carefully, she could hear the sound of his wooden pencils and meticulously picked pens, barely touching the surface of the drawing base, completing another page.

With a bored expression, she stretched her arms and opened the door, the only light inside of the room was coming from the window, which wasn't saying much, considering the sky was cloudy. However, the artist did not look bothered in the slightest by this.

"Damn, you want some sunscreen?"

She commented, barely getting any reaction out of him.

"No, thank you"

The girl sighed to herself, still smirking a bit, and turned on the only small lightbulb in the room. She didn't mind the dark itself, she actually found it quite enjoyable, it was merely to poke fun at him.

"What about now?"

Y/N added, resting an elbow on the side of the table the young mangaka was drawing on, clinching her hand into a fist as it made contact with her cheek.

"Still no, although what you just did right now was quite unnecessary"

"Almost as much as you deciding to spend even less time with me during Holiday times"

Despite the weight of her words, her tone was still a perfectly calm one. She didn't like to lose her cool, she could hardly ever do so even if she tried. Yelling just wasn't part of her nature, and she lived by the idea that passive-aggressiveness was much more impractical than screaming, especially with people like her boyfriend.

"Was that supposed to be some sort of offensive remark?"

"It wasn't supposed to be"

She shrugged and leaned forward to take the pencil off his hand.

"It was"

The small object fell to the ground, there was a moment of silence between the two, broken by the green haired one.

"I didn't take you for the type of person who cares so much about Christmas"

The two of them finally made eye contact.

"Look, it's not about Christmas itself, it's just..."

Y/N frowned before finishing the phrase.

"I get that your manga is important and all, but...Can't you just catch a break once in a while? Can't we spend these days together like any other couple? For once?"

Rohan looked down at the uncompleted image of Heaven's door he had been working on before being interrupted.

He didn't have malicious intentions, nor had he considered the possibility that his partner would have liked to spend all her time with him. They weren't exactly a "lovey-dovey" couple, and in his mind, he genuinely believed that she would have been okay reading all alone wrapped in the bed sheets.

He was just purely clueless when it came to understanding other people's emotions, especially considering how she didn't like to be direct about how she felt.

But, even if he wasn't the best at it, she would have still appreciated any sort of attempt to do so.

"...What do you want to do, then?"

Despite the fact that this is what she wanted, the girl couldn't help being taken aback by his response. She knew Rohan actually valued her, and simply sucked at showing it. Even so, she wasn't entirely sure of how to answer. It's not like she had anything special programmed in mind, nor did she want to leave the house anyway.

"I...Dunno, we can do whatever, 's long as we actually do it together"

It was the kind of sappy answer that she regretted in the moment it left her mouth, but that it felt right to express, even for just a second.

The other got up from his chair and turned around, without honoring her with a minimum reaction to her affirmation.

"...So?"

She tilted her head to the side and raised an eyebrow.

"No"

A straight answer, that's all she got out of him, before he walked out of the room, leaving her alone. That was low, even for the standards of a person like him, especially after he had seemed to show some bare interest in cheering her up, just for a second.

"...Fucking asshole"

She murmured to herself and left the place with heavy steps. For a second, she wondered where he had gone, but she quickly shoved that thought away, refusing to think about it. Bored out of her mind, she took her phone and started scrolling through videos of cat fishes eating food.

This went on for almost an hour, before the sound of the chubby animals nomming was interrupted by a soft knock on the door, but she couldn't be bothered to answer.

So, instead of knocking again, the other one just made himself comfortable and walked inside the bedroom, staring at his girlfriend for a couple of seconds, while she turned off her device with a blank expression.

"What?"

This time, she broke she silence. She looked at him in the corner of her eye, realizing he had his arms behind his back. His stiff position made it pretty clear that he was feeling nervous, but she wasn't in the mood for teasing him in that moment.

After a fake cough, he took another step in her direction. For once, the smug and egocentric Rohan wasn't sure of how to start the conversation.

"I...Made you this"

He reluctantly said, as he handed her a small cup filled with vanilla-flavoured tea.

She recognized it from the smell, despite the fact that she had never actually tried it before, although she had wanted to for a while now. But, considering the small city Morioh was, she couldn't find any supermarket that sold this flavor.

"...Where did you even get this?"

She asked, as the took the cup with both of her cold hands, to warm them up a little.

"When I went to Tokyo two days ago, but you decided to sleep in the entire day"

Despite her effort to act upset, which she still was, she couldn't help but crack a small laughter.

"Heh, I made the right choice"

"Yeah"

Feeling a bit more relaxed after seeing her smile, he took a sit next to her.

"Where did you hide the tea bags?"

"Under the wholemeal bread, so that I would have been certain you wouldn't have seen them"

"...That was a clever move"

"I kno-...Thanks"

Y/N took a sip out of the beverage, it warmed her inside as well. It was rather sweet, but not excessively, it was just like how she had imagined it to taste like.

"So, er...The reason why I said "no" earlier..."

"Yeah? What was up with that dick move?"

Normally, he would have responded twice as provocatively to her rhetoric question, but he thought it was better to let it slide at least this time.

"You uhm...Said you wanted to do something together, but I kind of..."

He looked at the little mug covered in white tulips.

"Felt...Bad about how I had been acting and... Decided to prepare this for you...Myself"

The green eyed one concluded. In that moment, he understood, although unconsciously, how his partner had felt asking him to spend more time with her earlier.

It was...Cheesy and dumb to pronounce out loud, even more than what she had said. He was already waiting for her to tell him how unnecessary and "out of character" it was for him, and to be honest, he couldn't even blame her.

"...I get it, makes sense"

Was what he got as an answer instead, he doubted if he had heard her correctly for a second.

"Thank you"

She added with a small smile.

"You're...Welcome, I guess"

"Just don't it again, 'K?"

The girl put the cup down and pointed a finger in his direction, smirking a little.

"That is, if you don't want me to pour oil on all your drawings and sketches"

"That is, if you don't want me to kick you out of the house"

Rohan grabbed Y/N's hand and held it tight between his, reciprocating the other's expression.

"Dang, you were able to be humble for almost 5 minutes, if you reristed for two more, you would have beaten your last record"

"Oh well, there will be another occasion..."

He leaned over and kissed her knuckles.

"...Maybe"

The artist pulled her closer to his chest by her wrist, more delicately than he usually would. Despite his inability to keep his flirty attitude completely at bay, he still felt like he should have been a bit softer to her in that moment, compared to how he would usually act.

Y/N loved to listen to his heartbeat, it was one of the rare sensations that were truly able to put her at ease, to give her that feeling of comfort and safety, to gift her with the certainty that everything was okay.

She didn't care if one would have called it childish, the thought of it couldn't even cross her mind in a moment like that.

It's true, his boyfriend could be a jerk, and was a huge jerk, but it made her feel special in a way. Not his attitude itself, but the implications of it, in a sense. How she was sure she really was something extraordinary, if Rohan Kishibe, of all people, cared about her.

And on top of this, tried what he had to prove her that it was the truth: that her uniqueness was a precious treasure he had the duty to cherish. In his usual self-centered, narcissistic, selfish view, he found space for something else, a space whose existence he had tried to defy: in his heart.

Loving someone was actually worth it, that was the most important lesson he would have ever taken from Y/N.

The latter's eyes naturally closed a little, enchanted by the reassuring sound. She had a small smile on her face, but she didn't feel like falling asleep just yet. She wanted to enjoy her partner as much as she could, despite how tempting it was to let go and rest surrounded by his body.

She let out a small sigh in relaxation, slowly raising her arm and taking the sort of bandage off his head, letting his hair down. He didn't like to be seen without it, especially since it prevented his hair from getting in the way of his work.

However, the girl just saw the occasion and couldn't help herself, she thought he looked even more handsome without it, and it's not like he needed it in the moment anyway, didn't he?

"You just won't bite, will you?"

"Why would I?"

Her hand was still in his hair as she lightly played with it.

"You look hotter when you don't wear it"

"...Well, how could I ever refuse a compliment from you?"

All of a sudden, she noticed something in his expression, a slight detail that, from an inexperienced point of view, would have gone unnoticed, or given from granted.

"...Ya know, I love your smirk"

"I know you do"

"But...I just adore seeing you smile...For real"

Caught unprepared by the comment , the young artist could not help but manifest a pink remark on his cheeks. He hadn't even realized how long he had been smiling for, and how genuine it looked, just for once.

"What? You didn't expect that?"

"I must admit I didn't"

Slowly, one of his hands started to crawl its way through her back, making sure not to leave any spot untouched.

"But can it compare to how pretty you are right now?"

In that exact moment, she sensed a shiver down her spine. It was hard to tell whether it was due to his physical initiative, or his words. Either way, she perfectly knew how to send the ball back to him.

"I don't know, can it?"

"...No, no it can't"

No other sound came out of the room for the next few hours, aside from that oh their lips touching. Feeling comfortable with someone while in pure calmness and quietness, that was pure love for the two. Maybe and unconventional type, but meaningful to them both nevertheless.

The outside was already dark, and the moon was barely visible that day. Some Christmas ornaments could be seen in the distance from the glass barrier, which gave Rohan another idea.

"Hey, would you like me to give you your present now?"

"You...Actually got me one?"

She was hoping that deep down, a tiny fraction of Holiday spirit had managed to penetrate inside of him, but she had prepared to accept the fact that it would have, most definitely, remained a fantasy.

How happy she was, for once, to be wrong.

"Of course"

"But it's not Christmas yet"

"Dates are just a social construct, and Jesus wasn't even actually born that day"

"Alright mr. Nonconformist, let's see what you got"

He reluctantly let go of her, kissing her for one last time.

"Give me a second"

Soon enough, the green-haired one came back. He was holding a simple, but carefully wrapped packet, whom he let slip on her hands with a satisfied look.

"Well, go ahead"

Noticing the conviction in his gaze, Y/N could not resist a second further and opened the gift, to reveal a...Sweater?

She could guess he would have gotten her clothes, but she didn't expect him to present her with this piece of clothing, of all things.

However, everything started to fall into place as soon as she turned it around. Before she could say anything, Rohan anticipated her.

"Well, I've figured you would have liked it, since you love filling the walls of my studio with this...Thing so much"

"It's called a stickman, honey"

"Whatever it may be, you surely seem to enjoy drawing it everywhere"

He didn't receive a "thank you", or a "Are you serious?" Or even a "Where the hell did you find this?"

The girl simply laughed.

"W-WHAT? What's so funny now?"

"You're such...A dork"

She slowly folded the sweater and put in on the pillow next to her, as she wrapped her arms around his shoulder, finding the strength to kiss him between her giggles.

"I love you, you moron"

"I love you too"

Seriously though😅, I wanted to ask you some questions, I was hoping to write them to you individually, but I think it's better to make a compilation.

Although some may seem a little uncomfortable to you; you don't have to answer all of them, just the ones you want, there aren't many anyway😅

Well here they go:

1.-Could you say if of all the drawings you have made, which one is your favorite?

2.-Are you still making commissions? I just want to make sure, if I would like to ask you for a few, since your art is very precious

3.-I think this is the most difficult, I was talking to some friends to see if you could give us permission to do dubbing for several of your comics (be it Subnautica, Death's Gambit, Kenshin, Death Wolf and with your Oc Life) Even if you don't want that, I could just publish them on YouTube without audio (obviously giving you the respective credit) so what do you think?

4.-This is a bit personal, personally I really like nature and I would really like to be able to draw like you do, so I was wondering, how do you make the animals, both their gestures and their reactions, look so realistic and so natural? Your style is really fascinating to me

5.-This is a bit embarrassing😳, but what series could you recommend about nature? I know, it's very, very strange😓, but in my country they don't broadcast those series much, so if I really would like to watch them streaming

Okay, let's go in order :D

1 - Most likely something old and meme like these sketches of my dog. Sometimes you look back and remember that life used to be simpler somehow x))

If more serious, it's probably this sketch. Now this place is fenced off and there's construction going on. But the memories remain

2 - Commissions are open, yes 👀 3 - Oooh, I'm interested to see it! Keep me in the loop ✨ 4 - Difficult question… Maybe, it's more a matter of exaggerating the animals, as is usually done in animation. My characters have features closer to real animals, but something distorted for the sake of expressing some emotion (well, plus my poor knowledge of the anatomy). Here, I think, everyone decides for himself how much to lean in one direction or another

disgruntled potato x) 5 - I don't know much about TV series… I can recommend "All Creatures Great and Small". It's not really about nature, it's more about people. But it's the life of a veterinarian in the 40s. I mostly watched old serials and documentaries, like Walks with dinosaurs, monsters, beasts, etc., Ten Deadliest Sharks, Dragons Alive, Weird Nature and various other bbc movies from the noughties. Happy #MellyMonday

It's that time again. Time to talk about my next Melia commission. This one is from @icoochu

I really love the work Icoo put into this Melia. I love her facial expression and the details she put in the clothing. I also like how Melia's hair curls extend all the way down to her knees. It is such a neat concept.

There's not much to say about the wips although Melia had a different facial expression in the sketch phase.

Also, this is one of the longest art commissions I got in terms of height. Like, if I ever want to make this into a decoration, I want it as a wall scroll. I think it would fit this artwork of Melia very well 😊😊😊😊

A wall scroll that has the same height as this would be very nice.

Hey guys! Back for another month! A month of a lot of small compliments sprinkled throughout this time around, but we still got quite a few full-on great complimentary moments. One in particular was very special 🥰

So let's get into it...

September 2023

Thinking OUTSIDE The Box (Herd Mentality)

Right off the bat, first day of the month, we got a Games video, and this video actually started off a theme throughout this month. The boys were in quite a few videos where they were playing games this month and were either competing against or working as a team so we got a lot of them complimenting each other on a job well down, plus the bestie-ism was shining through :-

Q: 'Name a brand beginning with an A’

Anthony: "I went to clothing for some reason."

lan: "Oh then I know what you did then."

Anthony: "Do you?'

lan: "You went to clothing.”

Anthony: "I put American Eagle. I'm thinking mall culture."

lan: [nodding] “I was thinking- I actually thought you'd either put American Eagle or All Saints."

Q: 'Name an animal beginning with a P’

lan: "I'm giggling [at his answer]."

Anthony: "I think I know why you're giggling.”

lan: "I put p**sy!"

Anthony: "I knnnew."

Anthony: "Did you [lan] just win?"

lan: "Oh!'

Anthony: "That's a win!" [cheering and clapping] "Yoooo! Because the nose [lan's answer for that round] knows!'

Q: 'Out of all the animals in the world, which is the cutest?'

lan: "I said cat."

Anthony: "I said kitten."

[everyone debating whether it counts as the same animal]

Anthony: "Also Ian," [shows him his card] "I wrote cat and crossed it out. I almost wrote it."

Q: 'Who is the toughest Disney princess?'

lan: "I did, I think her name is Merida?"

Anthony: "I put the one from Brave."

lan: "Oh!"

Anthony: "Yeah!"

I actually made a post of this moment because it was so cute! How excited they were they had the same answer and also Anthony's little tap dance when he realises 😊

l also loved Angela pointing it out :-

Angela: "Wait, that was so cool that you both said that really random one."

Chanse: "That is fun. Yeah."

Anthony: "Yeah."

lan: "She's tough."

Anthony: "But isn't she- she's like an archer."

Angela: "Sure, but like nobody talks about that movie."

Jackie: "I thought of it too, but I was like 'That's too much of a deep cut.'"

What did I say about the bestie-ism shining through? 🥰

lan: "Hey everybody. Here's a good one, Anthony I feel like you and I are gonna be aligned on this one."

Q: 'Name a rapper'

lan: "I said Drake."

Anthony: "I wrote Snoop Dogg."

So obviously not the same answer but very cute how lan thought they would be on the same wavelength and he gives the reason as to why he thought that :-

lan: "So Anthony and I played a, we played a fun little game yesterday, where we went on Spotify and we were trying to guess who were the top artists, because it ranks them-"

Literally awing out loud! the fact they were just playing that game together, it wasn't for a video or anything, just something they were doing together in their free time 🥹

Bonus - HELP! I became an NPC!

So this next moment doesn't really fall under the 'compliment' umbrella, but it is something that has become a sub-genre of these posts - is the 'daddy’ thing. Yep, you guessed it folks, Anthony was at it once again. Although, like in the 'You Posted That' episode, he's switching it up and now he's referring to himself as 'daddy’ :-

Anthony: [face appearing as if through a phone screen like in the main sketch]

lan: [pretends to put his fingers up Anthony's nose and then into his mouth]

Anthony: "Ooooh, daddy like."

Why are they like this 🤦‍♀️

Also I think @lilac-hecox & @only-frann summed up a perfect description of this Compliments Series :-

Hope you guys don't mind me tagging you, but this is literally what this series is 😄

Anyways, that was just a jokey little one, but as I said, it's now a 'thing' of these posts so I couldn't not include it.

Moving on...

We Already Regret This Embarrassing Photoshoot ft. Smosh

The boys went back on Good Mythical Morning for the first time in almost 8 years, and although this time around we didn't get any frosting foot massages or Titanic re-enactments there was a few compliment-adjacent moments :-

Link: [talking about the photo they had to re-create] "And lan, I gotta give it to you, man. You remembered a lot."

Anthony: "He did! The glasses. The shirt."

Anthony: "I'm feeling good about that one [their photo]."

lan: "I'm feeling good."

And then we got one of their high-five/hand-grip moments that they do a lot.

[lan and Anthony announced as the winners]

Anthony: "Yeeeah!'

Another high-five, of course

Anthony: "Yeah! Let's go!'

They just absolutely live for congratulating each other on anything and everything now and it's very sweet. And there's more to come!

Food Battle 2011 - Flashback w/ Smosh

As they're rewatching Food Battle 2011, lan points out in one of the shots how his cross-country team photo can be seen in the background :-

Anthony: "That's you lined up with all the cross-country... pals.

Oop was that jealous!anthony shining through a little there 🫢

lan: [laughs] "Pals."

Anthony: "Backlit. Looking epic."

So again, just another small little compliment, but lan's cross-country/running is brought up again and praised/complimented by Anthony in...

HELP! I became an NPC! Watch Party

[discussing how American sports are confusing]

Anthony: "I feel like Smosh and sports just don't mix in my brain."

lan: [laughs] “What sport do you think that aligns the most with Smosh?"

They go through multiple silly suggestions between the two of them and ones they read from the chat, before lan suggests :-

lan: “I feel like, and it's probably just because I did it, but cross-country. Smosh is cross-country."

Anthony: "Just cause you're part of Smosh and you did it?"

lan: "And you just keep going, and you just keep going. Just keep running."

Anthony: "Is that how you felt doing Smosh even when I left?"

lan: “Yeah. Like just gotta keep going. Just one more mile. One more mile."

Oh lan 🥺 I just had to pause to react to that before I get to the complimentary part of this conversation, but that's so sad. But also a perfect description of what I imagine it was like for him during those times when Anthony was gone. Having to remind himself to just keep going and pushing forward regardless.

Anthony: "What was your longest run?"

lan: "I did a marathon."

Anthony: “Yeah, I remember you ran past my street and I woke up bright and early, and I was like [pretends to be half asleep and waves].”

lan: [smiling] “Yeah, yeah I did."

Anthony: "How long was that run?"

lan: "26.2 miles."

Anthony: "Daaaamm, I didn't know [the] marathon was 26.2 miles, shiiiit.”

lan: “Yeah, and I averaged a little under an 8 minute mile.”

Anthony: “That is not bad. For 20 times 26?! That's good!"

So couple things to cover here!

1. Anthony waking up early to catch lan run by his street so he could wave to him CAN YOU HEAR ME CRYING 😭 that's the cutest thing ever!

2. Anthony saying how good of a time lan got in the marathon is so sweet. I live for Anthony bigging him up 🥹

Anthony's Birthday

This next lot I'd call complimentary-by-extension. Anthony's birthday rolled around and in typical lan fashion this was the birthday tweet we got from him :-

Oh lan, wouldn't expect anything else from you 😅

Thought that was going to be it but then Mr. Padilla came through for us! And this was the particularly special moment I mentioned in the beginning of this post. He made the post linked in the main header of this section, thanking everyone for the birthday wishes and said how it had been Mykie and his anniversary the week previous and how she took him to the Grand Canyon. The post was all photos of the two of them, but in amongst it all, he included this gem :-

Isn't this just the softest thing.

I mean...

1. We finally get to see lan interacting with Anthony's dogs 🙌 Also the fact you can tell how comfortable they must be around him given the fact she's laying on his chest quite content which means lan is around them often enough to have that bond with them 🥹

2. The fact they spent Anthony's birthday together after so many years of birthdays unshared & it also makes Ian's tweet funnier, like him being next to Anthony, realising people are probably expecting him to publicly wish him 'happy birthday’, him writing the most basic tweet with a low-quality gif, posting it, and then going right back to hanging out with Anthony 😆

Aaaaand…...

3. Probably the softest thing about this, and where I'm going to get a bit emotional writing/thinking about it because I have a lot of feelings about it, is the fact Anthony included that photo of lan within his birthday/anniversary post. It's just so unbelievably soft. I cannot get over it. There was was no mention of lan in the caption or anywhere else, it was all photos of Anthony and Mykie, but within it, this one little candid shot of lan. It's so special. And says a lot without explicitly saying anything at all. It's just like, 'here's a post of things that matter to me.’ I like to imagine Anthony choosing the photos for that post, and even with it being a birthday/anniversary post, he still made the conscious decision to include that photo of lan. Something he didn't need to do, the photo wasn't relevant to the post, and yet, he included it anyways. He wants people to know that's how he spent his birthday, with the people he loves most - he couldn't not include that photo of lan. And I think it comes back around to the fact he's just so happy to have lan in his life again and he'll take every opportunity to say/show it. I can picture him sitting there looking at lan laying on his floor across from him, his dog on lan's chest, and his heart just feeling so full and happy at the fact he has his best friend with him again when a year ago he didn't think this would ever be a reality for him again. It's just so, so special ❤️

Finishing off Anthony's birthday was something that came a few days after :-

What I also love about this, is the fact that lan never tagged Anthony in his tweet and given it was a few days later that Anthony responded and by that point the tweet would have been buried in his timeline, and also that Anthony barely uses Twitter. Knowing all these things it's very likely that Anthony searched for lan's account for him to see that tweet 🥰

POKEMON ROOMMATE BATTLE Watch Party

In the BTS for the POKEMON ROOMMATE BATTLE sketch lan keeps getting distracted playing Pokémon for the whole shoot, eventually getting the gameboy taken off of him by Erin 😅 In this livestream they're watching the sketch and Anthony says :-

[scene where 'lazy lan' is sitting in the beanbag playing Pokémon not wanting to move]

Anthony: “This is actually what you were like on set that day cause you were just playing Pokémon the whole day."

lan: "Oh yeah, so we rented that prop from like a prop house."

Anthony: “The gameboy."

lan: "The gameboy. And it was working - it was full battery, Pokémon Red was in it, and I booted it up and was like ‘There's no way. No. No’. and I was just straight up playing Pokémon on and it was-"

Anthony: "Was it everything you remembered?"

lan: "It was sick, dude. It was fun. I was having fun. I was getting really distracted and it was not good for the shoot. But I think I got my Charmander to like level 11 or 12."

Anthony: "Yeah, you nailed it."

Just a cute little compliment I felt should be included 🙂 But sticking with the Pokémon theme, it leads me on to the next compliment...

‘I Choose You' Smosh Hat

Anthony posted this Instagram promoting the Smosh Pokémon-style hat they released as merch, but what stood out to a lot of us is his choice of the first photo + the caption :-

THE IMPLICATIONS! Him crowning lan with the hat and him saying ‘I choose you' 🥹 It reminds me of something I covered in my first Compliments post - the section covering the Smoshcast with Anthony and Shayne saying how they came back together and "choose to be best friends again" 💛🖤

One other moment I loved from this video was something I already made a post about here. Of Jackie referring to them as 'best friends' and Anthony laughing the hardest at his answer firing shots at lan, again, bestie-ism shining through 😄
