OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! HOW WOULD THE BOYS REACT IF THEY SEE THEIR DEAR LITTLE HANDLER BEING HARASSED? Either physical or naughty flirty with inappropriate touches
The boys would most likely go ballistic, and attacked the offender on the spot.
Suggestive Warning: sexaul harassment, sexaul references.
You walked slowly through the safari zone, back on your way to the bar. You had just finished watching two adorable Indian roller chicks while they're parents were away performing. You were the only one free at the time, so you happily agreed. And better yet, Sun, Moon and Eclipse were busy at the bar performing for some event, so they weren't able to tease or bother you while you looked after the babies. But eventually they got someone else to take care of the hatchlings, so you were shooed away.
Other than that, today had been a good day. At least, for now... As the bar came into view, you knew the boys would be ending their performances soon. You sighed. Better get ready for the teasing. Your day already seemed worse. You opened the doors to hear the crowd finish up their cheering and the brothers disappeared behind the red curtain on the makeshift stage. Good. At least they wouldn't notice as you walked in.You managed to push your way through the many bodies to the counter without getting jostled too much. The bartender glanced up at you a smiled. You smiled back, before asking.
"Could I have a water please?"
Before they could respond, someone slammed you into the counter from behind. You were going to push them away, but who ever it was shoved one of their hands over your mouth and used the other to hold your hip. As you tried to get your lips free, you glared back at the offender. It was muscular dude with messy ginger hair and some peach fuzz to compensate for a beard. He wasn't dressed very fancy, which you found odd, given where he was. He wore a tattered white tang top covered in stains and long ripped jeans that pooled over brown sandles. You broke your face free from his grip and growled at him.
"Let me go!"
He quickly covered your mouth again and whispered in your ear, his breath heavily tainted by alcohol. He was kneading your hip with his other hand as he spoke.
"You're pretty cute, sweet cakes. I think you're going to be perfect."
He licked his lips as he admired you in areas you would rather him not. Small tears stung the corners of your eyes as he drew himself even closer.
"Perfectly small..."
Without warning, he was yanked off your body, and tossed through the air in the opposite direction. The man crashed in to a table, interrupting a couple's meal together. Meanwhile, you almost fell face first into the counter due to the shift in sudden weight. Before you could, gloved hands caught you. Gazing back, you were met by Sun's worried face. He turned you about and held you by your shoulders.
"Are you okay, Darling?"
You whimpered and nodded. Sun gently set you down on the ground and retracted his hands to himself. He looked like he wanted to hug you, but was holding himself back. You looked past Sun just in time to see Eclipse pick the man off the ruined table by the arm. He was probably the one who threw the guy. Eclipse brought him face to face.
"If I ever see you touch them again- no, if I ever see you NEAR them again, you will be severely punished. Now, get lost!"
Eclipse tossed him to the ground like he was nothing but a piece of trash. The man wasted no time. He scrambled onto his feet and dashed out of the bar. Eclipse watched until he was gone. He then turned to you and walked over. He crouched to your height. You backed away, scared, and not wanting to be touched. This was all happening too fast. But his eyes were soft and welcoming. You relaxed a little, reaching out. He gently embraced you. You snuggled quietly into his fluffy neck feathers, you hadn't even noticed you had started crying. Eclipse slowly stood. Your eyes were buried, but you could tell he was moving. You listened as Sun tried to follow Eclipse, by the sound of boots close behind.
Eclipse paused and growled at his little brother. You looked up at him, confused. You didn't expect him to get aggressive with his brother, and neither did Sun, as he looked quite shocked. That seemed more like a Moon thing to do. Speaking of Moon, you hadn't seen him this entire time. Hopefully he wasn't getting into any trouble...
Sun stared quietly at Eclipse, before turning around and marching back to the bar, angry. You almost felt bad for him. Eclipse continued his walking. As he did, you rested your head back into his neck. The rhythmic walking and bobbing made you sleep. That, and how much you were crying. You heard the click of a door opening. Everything else after that was hazy.
You could feel him placing him in his hammock... covering you with a blanket... sitting on the floor next to you, he started playing a song... no, he was singing... Your soft snoring filled the air. Eclipse still sung his song, watching your body contract with every breath. You were precious, and nobody was going to hurt you like that again...

CONTENTS WARNING: SMUT
You invited Eddie up for the weekend to your shabby student apartment. You've been away at Indiana State while Eddie was still stuck at Hawkins High complaining about how life in Hawkins has been so shit without you and needed to get away, coming to see you would be the perfect getaway.
Eddie and you had always been close, so when you told your roomies that he was coming to stay they were okay with it, as long as he slept in your room. They didn't want to wake up in the middle of the night to get something and have a random guy on the couch, which was reasonable because they hadn't met him before. They were excited to finally meet your best friend and you planned to go out to the bars tonight after a very long week of midterms.
Eddie arrived late afternoon, you introduced him to your roommates and he settled in. "It's so sweet you have your own space, we can finally hang out without worrying about Wayne or your parents judging us" Eddie laughed while plopping on your double bed.
"Do you wanna shower before we head out?" You ask.
"Nah I did this morning, I'm okay." He tells you. " Ok I'm going to pop in, You can entertain yourself until I'm back" You give him a wink and leave him to his devices. Eddie scanned your new collage room, it reminded him of your old room at your parent's house. You had pictures of you and him framed along with other friends he didn't recognize. He was always a little nosey when it came to you, there weren't any boundaries in place when it came to privacy around Eddie. You had been friends since the 7th grade, growing up together in your awkward years really bonded the both of you.
You'd told Eddie earlier that you had gotten a new strain of pot from one of the guys you're friends with and that he could light up whenever. You'd left out the baggie and your grinder but Eddie left his bong at home and didn't see yours lying around so he searched for some rolling papers. Rifling through your bedside table is where he looked first. He shuffled through your hair ties, random articles, condoms...
Eddie had known you were no longer a virgin like he still was, he has had zero experience, not even a handjob. Needless to say, Eddie doesn’t get any…. Like ever. Poor thing tries his best but most of the girls he’s surrounded by are in high school and he wants nothing to do with them. He wants a grown woman. He really wants you if he is being honest but he never thinks that would happen in a million years.
He still was riffling deep in the drawer now, he felt something soft but firm, round and long. He picks it up to move it out of the way. He looks at what is your black vibrator. Why would she have a microphone? Eddie moved on quickly because he spots what he is looking for buried under all your crap.
Hours go by and you’re stumbling into your apartment laughing around 1:00am. You offered your room for Eddie to get ready for bed while you took the bathroom. Once you're finished you walk back into your room to see Eddie tucked into his side of the bed. "I meant to ask you earlier but I forgot because we got too high" He laughed. "Ask away" You crawled into your fresh sheets and snuggled into bed with Eddie. "Why do you have a microphone?" He asked. You look at him quizzically because you have no idea what he's talking about. "Are you sure that weed didn't alter your brain?" You laugh as your head hits the pillow. "What do you mean? I saw it" He laughs. "Dude I have no idea what you're talking about? Why would I have a microphone? I hate karaok- oof" Eddie cuts you off by leaning all his body weight over you to reach into your nightstand and pulls out your vibrator. You start laughing uncontrollably, partly because you're a bit embarrassed, and partly from the alcohol.
"What?" Eddie questions inspecting it, once more. you grab it from his hands and turn it on. The object comes to life and a low buzz fills the room. "Why is it buzzing?" Oh, your sweet innocent Eddie, "Ummmm think of it more like a massager..." you turn it off and place it back on the nightstand you turn back to Eddie and can see the wheels in his head turning but no gas. "Ugh, Eddie don't make me say it out loud" You bury your face in your hands and pillows not wanting to look at him when you say it. "I don't get it, you're going to have to spell it out for me, Ms.University" he nudges your arm with his elbow. "It's a vibrator Eddie, you know... like for sex"
The room was still dimly lit, enough for you to see Eddie's eyes go wide. "It’s… it’s a sex toy?" he reaches over you once again to grab it off the nightstand. “Eddie!” you shout then cover your mouth remembering the time of night.
“Give me that!” You try and grab it out of his hands. This whole situation was weird. You guys never spoke about sex, it just wasn’t that kind of friendship. Yes, you liked Eddie, you’ve been crushing on him for years but you would never act on it, or at least you don’t think you would? Like a child, Eddie reached his arm up over so you couldn’t get it “No come on I’ve never seen one before” he pouts. “Ok you’ve seen it now give it back!” You weren’t afraid to crawl over him to get it, you straddled his chest, enclosing him between your bare legs. Your tiny sleep shorts were barely covering your cunt that was practically pressed into Eddie’s face. “Ah ha!” You say victoriously grabbing it from Eddie’s grip. Eddie can feel the blood rush from his face and into his cock. He shifts and clears his throat, “Oh shit, sorry!” You hike your leg over him accident exposing your pussy even more to him. Eddie’s eyes don’t break from your core. You’re blissfully unaware you just flashed your best friend. “Sorry Ed’s didn’t realize” you joke. “Uh yeah, it’s fine” You see Eddie shifting under the covers. “So you always sleep without panties or is that just because I’m in your bed” Eddie asks. “Eddddddddddie oh my god” you burry your head in the pillows debating on sleeping on the couch at this point. “I love when you moan for me baby” Eddie laughs, you try and hurry yourself further into the bed but Eddie grabs your waist and pulls you into him. “You know babe, out of the two of us I should be the one mortified. I’m the twenty-year-old virgin not knowing what a sex toy looks like.” He grips into you tighter and you bury your face into his neck. The alcohol is slowly leaving your system but you still blame it for what happens next. “You don’t have to be” You timidly kiss into the hollow of where his neck and collarbone meet. “What are you-oh that feels good” Eddie sighs into your touch, his chest raging and falling at a quicker pace. “Will you let me take care of you Eddie?” You graze your hand lower down his bare chest, across his stomach down the the waistband of his boxers. “Yes,” he nods frantically.
You shuffle back over him so you’re once again straddling him. You look down at your best friend, taking in his features, he is so pretty. You lean in timidly to kiss his lips for the first time. His plush lips felt so soft when they connected to yours. It quickly heated up, you ground your hips into Eddie, you could feel his hard length pressing into your slit and you wiggled your hips on him. You hear a wine come from Eddie’s throat as you disconnect and start to kiss down from his neck to his happy trail. “I’ve been dying to know what’s under here for years” You graze your hand lightly tracing Eddie’s tented boxers. Eddie’s hips shoot up at the connection. “Eager aren’t we” you giggle slowly revealing his length. “Well you would be too if you’ve waited this long for you too” It doesn’t escape you that Eddie didn’t say “Wait for this,” he said he was waiting for you. You’re stomach flops, at his words and your eyes bulge out of your skull at the size of him. “You’ve been hiding that you have a horse penis from me this whole time?!” You don’t really give Eddie time to answer because you latch your mouth into his tip, not sure how much more you’ll be able to fit into your mouth.
Eddie is in heaven, he isn’t sure what karma he is getting but he knows he must have done something right to have your head between his legs at this very moment. It’s a feeling that he’s never felt before, the warmth of your mouth, the wetness of your lips mixed with the softness of your tongue was all-encompassing. You felt his hand rest on the back of your head, you looked up at him through your lashes, his face blissed out. Your core was dripping already at the feeling of Eddie in your mouth. The way you were making him feel good was only making you wetter. You reached up to cup his hand on your head, coxing him to push you down. “Oh fuck baby, please” he whimpered. You took in more of him opening your throat for him. You bobbed your head up and down his shaft while using the other hand to move in tandem. You had Eddie whimpering “Oh my god just like that! Fuck you’re taking me so well” For someone with no experience he sure wasn’t shy about praising you. It only made you want to pleasure him more. You were the first one to ever touch him like this. You were the first one to ever make him feel this euphoric.
“Fuck I’m not going to last long fuckfuckfuck” You were enjoying yourself too much that you didn’t care about what Eddie was telling you, you wanted him to cum, he deserved to cum. “Wait wait I wanna…shit, I want you to be my first” he pushed you off him. “Really?” You asked. “Yea… I mean.. if you wanna?” he pants. “I do Ed’s” but I gotta get myself ready, will you help me? Eddie nods enthusiastically as you lay beside him and he climbs on top of you.
You walked him through what to do, he was a quick learner. He kissed you down your neck like you did to him earlier. He touched you over your shirt at first, a bit shy. You told him he could touch you, and begged him to touch you as you lifted the big sleep shirt over your head. Eddie’s hands immediately latched on to your breasts kneeling them like stress balls. “Softer please, you’re pinching me” You place your hands on the backs of his to guide him. You tell him that you like it when your nipples are touched. He bowed his head lower, and tenderly he kissed the swell of your breast “Is this ok?” He asks “Yes Eddie, more of that” he brought his warm mouth around your perked nipple. “Oh yes,” you arched your back making your breast squish into Eddie’s nose. Your head spun as he hummed into you, the vibration jolting to your core. “I uh, don’t know what to do with my hands.” He admitted. You took his right hand in yours and guided it past your waistband and overtop of your mound. “Feel me Eddie I’ll tell you what feels good” Eddie’s thick fingers explored your pussy lips, slipping his fingers through your folds he grazes your clit and you jerk at the touch.
One thing about Eddie is that he is very receptive. He does it again to test the waters “oh fuck” you moan. “You like that baby” his confidence was showing “Yes Eddie, fuck keep going” “So this is what that little toy is for? This spot right here?” You nodded your head not able to speak. Why was he so good at this? “Can I try?” He sheepishly asks you. “Yes, Eddie please” he reaches over to get the vibrator you had left resting on the bed. “Hold down on the button to turn it on” “Which one there are three? Why are there three?” He turns it finding the buttons. “The bottom one, the others are to change the pattern and the speed” You point to the power button. “Oh,” Eddie smirks. “Ok playboy let’s not get ahead of ourselves, We will start on level one” The low buzzing filled the room once again. “I should take off my shorts…” you awkwardly suggested. You hook your fingers into the waistband and wiggle your hips up and out. “Ok so, just put it where you put your fingers before” you guide him by the wrist. The vibrator makes contact with your swollen clit. “Oh god yes!” You arch your back in pleasure. The feeling of the buzzing on your clit shot waves of euphoria through you. Eddie couldn’t wipe the Cheshire Cat smile off of his face. Having you at his mercy could have him busting a nut here and now.
Eddie kissed you while holding down the vibrator like his life depended on it. You were starting to get squirmy, your hips gyrated into him “More Eddie, you moaned into his mouth. “What do you want?” He asks “Your fingers, please” you wine. He stops kissing you, you can see the nervous look in his eyes. It’s okay Eddie you won’t hurt me.” You brush a piece of hair behind his ear. A shaky hand grazed your slick folds and pushed up slowly and back out again, he repeated that until you showed him what to do next. “That’s it Eds” you sighed into his mouth. “Now go like this” You wiggled your index and middle finger in a come hither motion. The coil in your lower stomach was getting tighter with each pump of his fingers you were being wound up until it snapped, Eddie feels your walls clench down in him and the thought of you doing that with his cock inside you only got him even more excited. “Oh fuck yes Eddie!” You cried out with pleasure. Your heavy breaths and the low buzz of the vibrations filled the room. “Woah” Edd breaks the silence, “It’s-too much Eds” You push his hand away that was still holding the toy to your sensitive clit. “oh shit sorry” he throws it to the side of the bed and captures your lips into another kiss.
You break the kiss to reach over to the nightstand and grab your condoms. “Holly shit this is really happening,” Eddie says under his breath but you hear him. “If you still want to yeah” You sit up on your knees and tell Eddie to get on his back. “I’ll be on top to start you off ok, Then if you want to switch let me know.” He nods his head like a kid who was asked if they wanted their favourite ice cream. You push Eddie’s shoulder back so he is propped up just a little on the pillows you straddle him again getting yourself situated. “You wanna put it on or do you want me to?” You raise your brows at him. “I’ll uh-I’ll do it” he clears his throat. You pass him the blue foiled pack and he expertly slips it over himself. “You practice this before?” You giggle, he tells you to shut up and you raise up to your knees you grip his solid length in your hand.
You slowly sink down onto him, and Eddie lets out a guttural moan. You cup a hand over his mouth, you don’t want to wake up your roomies. “Shhhhhhh” you sink down slowly, the way he is stretching you out makes you feel so full. You finally make it all the way to the hilt. “You okay” you ask Eddie. That was a silly question, of course, he is okay. You start by grinding your hips releasing your hand from his mouth. “Yea, more than ok babe” You started to bounce on his cock, the way he was stretching you felt otherworldly. “Fuck that’s it, so good f’me” he grits out. He really had confidence for someone’s first time, but that was because he was with you. “Fuck Eddie you’re so big” You let your head fall back. The sight in front of Eddie only brought him closer to the brink. Your tight hot cunt swallowing him, your tits bouncing in his face, he was so close. Eddie remembered what you said about your nipples being sensitive, he leans forward and latches on. Your eyes roll back in your head at the sensation. The room is filled with the sound of pants and skin slapping skin. “Yes! Eddie yes yes yes” You grab the back of his head and rub on his hair. He lets out a moan, so you do it again. Eddie loves it when you tug on his locks. “Fuck baby I’m not gonna last much longer.” He tilts his head up to kiss you, he slips his tongue in your mouth.
You are all-encompassed by Eddie, no one else on earth matters but him in this moment. You let out a small yelp when Eddie unexpectedly flips you on your back. He was feral, he never had felt this before In his life he had to hold on a bit longer, needing to savour this feeling forever. The new position forced his cock to hit your walls at a better angle. He bends your legs so they are by your ears. The look in his eyes has you swimming, he is consumed by you, and he watches his cock disappear in and out of your walls. “Fuck Eddie I’m close, touch me please” Eddie didn’t think twice about grabbing the vibrator. The memory of your velvety walls clench his fingers and drove him to make sure you were the first to cum. He needed you to cum on his cock like he needs air in his lungs. Eddie hammered into you at a pace much faster than you were capable of while riding him. The tingling of the vibrations shook through your core, in less than a minute you were cumming on his cock. You open your mouth to scream with pleasure but nothing comes out, your body shakes with pleasure as your second orgasm consumes you. The second you clenched down on Eddie he was cumming with you. An animalistic groan leaves Eddie’s throat as his hot ropes of cum spill into the condom.
Eddie collapses onto you with a breathy laugh. “Oh my god why did I wait so long to do this” he giggled into the crook of your neck. “Because you never made a move!” You joke back. Eddie pecks your face with a million and one kisses. “Fuck, sweetheart can we do that again?” He rests his head on your chest, looking at you with those baby cow eyes. He grabs your hand and brings it to his chin. “Sure Eds we can do that as many times as you want” Eddie didn’t give you a chance to to recover before he pounced on you for round two….

life of a traitor
Tumblr media
I’m really sorry if this one seemed a bit messy, because I was trying to convey the feelings from multiple POV’s at the same time instead of just one. ps. i will drown in the Lo’ak x Tsireya ship. My OTP for life.
♢ Pairing: Dad!Jake Sully x Oldest daughter!Reader, Lo’ak x Tsireya, Dad!Jake Sully x Lo’ak
♢ Word count: 4k
♢ Genre: angst, family comfort - Warnings: cursing, Jake being a bad dad for once but we still love him
⌲ Description: “You have shamed this family.” Words hurt and they sting. Yet you make sure your dad gets to feel that very pain in the wake of Lo’ak’s return.

Tumblr media
“The Sully boy has been found!”
“The oldest is with him! They’re both back!”
You were holding your breath, you realized, as the village got closer. The lit-up lanterns that seemed like mere specks of stars in the night from a distance not long ago now seemingly looming over you with intimidation for what was to come. Both of you were perched on the backs of the Metkayina warrior's mounts that had spotted the two swimming back into the reefs after sending the tulkun off.
And with Atanzaw flying above your heads, shining in the dark with his bioluminescent marks, it was an easy spotting as an uproar had started.
Your brother reached the dock first, thanking the one who helped as you followed up shortly after doing the same.
As if as one, both yours and Lo’ak’s gaze locked onto Ao’nung standing at the very front beside his parents. He was silent, though you didn’t know if that was due to the aftermath of his scolding or guilt for nearly killing your brother.
For his sake, it better had been the latter.
You merely stood back as Lo’ak was ready to pounce on the boy himself until your dad quickly intervened with raised hands of peace, and you could not stop the disappointed roll of your eyes.
“Hey…” Jake was trying to make eye contact with him, but sensing how his youngest son was too busy death glaring at the Olo’eyktan’s heir it was a futile try. “Let’s have a look at you.”
“He’s fine, he’s fine. Just a few scratches,” your dad declared, obviously nervous and trying to appear calm.
“Define fine,” you muttered, not bothering to be too discreet and catching both the eyes of Tonowari and Jake.
Your mother was next, as she threw herself down on the lower ledge and grabbed Lo’ak by his shoulders, nails probably digging in uncomfortably for a short moment. There was clear distress for her child on her face, but also the aggravation of him getting into trouble again. A very familiar combination when it came to your baby brother, admittedly.
You still made sure to be closer to him as you stepped up, shoulders just barely brushing your dad’s arm in passing and hovering a mere few inches behind. A silent shield to be used if needed.
“I pray for the strength that I will not rip the eyeballs out of my youngest son!” She growled with a frustrated grab at his face - Lo’ak did nothing but lean away, face stone cold in all the chaos.
His indifference was worrying you as you reached out to subtly hook your little pinky around his own. An action that only the two of you and Kiri could do with your extra fingers. His body didn’t reveal anything besides the slight twitch at the touch, but he didn’t pull away, and you took it as a good sign.
For now.
“No. My son knows better than to take him outside of the reef,” Tonowari pushed Ao’nung down to his knees by the back of his neck, a sight that gave you immense satisfaction as your lips curled up into a small smirk. “The blame is his.”
Your father was trying his best to de-escalate the situation, you knew that. And although you had a lot to say, things were going smoothly at this point, so they were held back.
“Okay, let’s go,” Jake accepted it, urging Lo’ak to get a move on and you started to follow until the next words made you freeze in shock.
“No. This is not Ao’nung’s fault. This was my idea.”
What the fuck was he doing?
Stupid, stupid boy!
Your heart was starting to pump, the disbelief at that flat-out lie from Lo’ak not making it any better. And you made sure to voice it.
“Lo’ak!” Your hiss was hardly low in volume, or gentle in its approach. It was a harsh, aggressive sound that made several people look as you grabbed your youngest brother’s arm and pulled him to you. “What do you think you’re doing?!”
You were pretty sure your nails were digging into his skin much more painfully than your mom’s did.
But as the idiot that he was, he wrenched away from you and continued on as if you hadn’t spoken. “Ao’nung tried to talk me out of it. Really.”
Lie, lie, lies!
The word thundered in your head as you pinched your eyes shut with a rigid sigh. Your parents had so clearly lost their patience as your dad went up first, your mom grabbing Lo’ak either in anger or confusion. “Lo’ak!”
You weren’t sure of anything, to be honest.
“I’m sorry,” he finally finished.
“Come on,” Jake’s voice was sternly laced with exhaustion as you both followed him.  “I got this one.”
How many times hadn’t you heard that sentence?
There was a tense moment of silence as your family walked away, but Tuk was absent you noticed. Which was a good thing in itself, supposedly. She didn’t need to see this ugly side of your family so young - there were certain moments for learning, whereas others would just create minimal trauma. Just like now.
“Dad, you told me to make friends with these kids, that was what I was trying to do-”
“I don’t want to hear it.”
You cautiously straightened up at the apparent held-back anger and glanced at your mom, hoping she might help to diffuse the situation. But her glare was still firmly settled on Lo’ak, as you licked your lips anxiously.
This situation was not reached its peak yet, the comprehension of the current mood washing over you.
“Dad…”
“You brought shame to this family.”
It felt like the air had been sucked out of your lungs and stones beings violently shoved in their stead, eyes widening at the horrible words your dad…no, Jake Sully just blatantly said to your brother.
Because this was not the dad that you knew.
How could he?
Saying such words when Lo’ak was already struggling with himself.
Couldn’t they see that?
It was so clear, your confusion nearly befuddled you enough, but not quite.
Because your anger was there. Simmering, boiling - ready to erupt at any moment - because this wasn’t fair.
Your baby brother was being so strong.
Oh, how his expression squeezed your heart almost painfully. The way his shoulders just only drooped before straightening back up and fists clenching as his cold mask slipped back over the hurt that had been there only for a single second.
“Can I go now?”
Don’t go. Please, don’t go.
“Any more trouble I’ll tie a knot in your tail, you read me?”
Stop.
“Yes sir.”
Just fucking stop.
With a flick of his eyes, your dad dismissed Lo’ak like he was one of his soldiers, and as you tried to reach out for him, your baby brother ignored you with a visible lean away.
An action that hurt you more than you realized until now.
“Where were you?” Your mom spoke for the first time, turning to Neteyam.
Someone that had nothing to do with this whole fiasco.
“Yeah, what happened to keep an eye on your brother?”
You spoke before he could. “Where were you?”
Both of your parents turned to look, identical frowns on their faces as they stared you down at your tone. But you would not budge at their intimidation.
“Excuse me?”
“How could you?”
“Y/N this is not the time for one of your tirades again.”
The disbelieving laugh that you let out was so out of character that even Kiri’s eyes widened warily.
Your sister was someone who often silently observed those around you. And she knew that at this point there was no going back. You were clearly losing it.
“Y/N…” Your mom noticed the same, sensing the seams of your sensibility started to fray at the edges as you and Jake were locked in a stare-down.
You grinned widely, all teeth on show as your arms spread to the side. “You know what? Thank you for suggesting that dad! I would love to actually!”
Tirades were your favorite part time after all.
His eyes narrowed dangerously, a finger hovering in the air as Jake hissed in a breath before muttering out harshly - his eyes flickering to the curious audience gathering at your volume. “Watch yourself, young lady.”
“Why?” Your reply was all but spat out. “Are you embarrassed? Ashamed perhaps?”
“Y/N, you do not speak to your father like that!” Your mom’s voice snapped up, gaze hard with a hint of surprise which you assumed was due to your attitude.
Admittedly a side that you had never shown before. Or at least managed to hold back in tense moments.
“Why the hell not?!” your words were met by the gasps of Kiri and Neteyam at the audacity, but they were easily ignored as you whirled to look at your father.
He had his lips peeled back in a mid-snarl, his animalistic side coming out to warn you of the hierarchy in this family.
“You always speak to us like that! Whenever your emotions are too much to handle and you lash out at us. You say it’s our fault all disguised under your excuse of being a worried parent!”
“Lo’ak is fourteen, dad!” Making sure you had his attention you stepped closer. “Four-teen. He’s fourteen and already thinks he’s a fucking failure - and do you wanna know why that is?” there was no pause in your words as you threw them at his face. “Because of you.”
“You do not get to talk to me this way, Y/N,” Jake was clenching his jaw to the point he was sure his teeth would shatter. “I am your father-”
“-what father tells their child they’re ashamed of them?” You offered him a bitter smile. “The one I know sure as hell doesn’t.”
“Your brother made his choice. These are the consequences that follow-” your dad was having a hard time holding back with the way his voice raised mid-sentence before forcefully stopping himself and releasing a breath. “-that follow along with his actions. I am trying to teach him a lesson.”
“Did you ask him?”
“What?”
“Did. You. Ask. Him?”
Jake sighed in frustration, his hands coming up to grasp at empty air. “What are you talking about?”
“Did you even bother to ask your son whose fault this really was?” you weren’t interested in hearing his answer. “Do you even know your son? Because I do, and do you wanna know why again? Because I damn well pay attention!”
The laugh coming out of your dad made chills appear on your skin, but you were already far too deep in to turn back. Things were already fucked up, then why not cross the line a little more.
“Okay then, you little smartass. Are you telling me I don’t care about my own kid?”
He thought he had you there.
“Caring and knowing are two very different things.” This time you were the one who had him. Shutting down his own retort.
“You say you love us. You say you care for us. But also that we worry you, and that we disappoint you. Fine - that’s fine dad. But you don’t get to say that we have shamed you.”
For once during this entire duration, you hesitated.
Your next words were waiting on the tip of your tongue, heavy and loaded - something you didn’t want to say, but a part of you needed to let them out. To let your dad, or even Jake Sully, the former marine soldier hear them to his face from someone close to him.
To feel the same stabbing pain that Lo’ak most certainly did earlier.
Your aggressive protectiveness came victorious.
So you let them loose.
“You don’t get to say that; because we’re not the ones who betrayed an entire race to be where we are.”
Jake stumbled back in shock as if those very words had shot him right in the chest and he couldn’t stop them. Stop the truth that they were covered in.
It was like a pin dropped in the heavy silence that followed between the loose circle your family stood in. Your mother for the first time in her life since giving birth to you hissed in protectiveness over her mate - at her own daughter - your brother sprung to your side and twisted you away with a snarl of your name, in warning, not scolding. Whereas Kiri remained still, eerie gaze never leaving you.
However, you weren’t done.
“Hurts doesn’t it?” your voice croaked as Jake’s eyes slowly raised to meet yours. “Words.”
You left without saying anything else.
+
Warm. Gentle. Comforting and so loving.
Tsireya’s hold on his hands was always a welcoming feeling.
Her touch seemed to ground him more than he sometimes realized. A feeling that was unfamiliar to him mostly, and one that always reminded him of you.
But right now, with the two of them sitting on a boulder on the edge of a patchy space of grass and gazing out into the star covered night together, it was a touch that calmed the stabbing hurt from earlier and made the night all more bearable.
Lo’ak had no idea how many hours that passed since the chaos that had ensued after returning with you. His hearing basically stopped working after his dad’s true feelings had slapped him in the face with their words - that stung more than an actual slap would have.
He would have rather taken that slap.
“Are you okay?” Tsireya’s voice was soft and light, so sweet in its tone that he couldn’t even stop the small smile on his face after the tumultuous day.
“I will be,” he admitted honestly. He would always be somewhat okay after a few days, that was the truth.
The real question was if he would ever heal from it. That one he wasn’t so sure about.
Lo’ak might not have been mistreated or even abused by his family. A minimum that was expected for a happy life. Because in a certain perspective, he was fortunate in the life that he did have.
Two caring, protective parents.
Four loving siblings.
A grandmother for Tsahik.
And a home. Kind off.
Then why didn’t he feel fortunate?
“You can always rely on me, you know that right?”
Eywa. How beautiful her large eyes looked staring up at him from her place, where her head was previously leaned on his shoulder.
They were sparkling, he swore. The aquamarine color of them stood out even more in the darkness surrounding them. The bioluminescent lights of nature surrounding them made her all the more ethereal in his gaze.
So large and so loving and caring in the way they always looked at him.
And not for the first time, Lo’ak found his own gaze wavering - flickering down lower on her face and to her lips, which were adorably pulled down in a slightly concerned pout for him.
They might be young, just fourteen-year-old kids still growing. But he wasn’t stupid or ignorant at his age. He was well versed in romantic feelings and commitment to your partners, and how to cherish each other if the right one ever did appear.
And his dad made good on his promise to teach them all about teenage hormones and urges, and how to control them in a respectful manner. To know when it was too early to start exploring what he wanted or not.
Lo’ak wanted to kiss her. He knew that. It wasn’t a secret.
But it was too early. And in the aftermath of his falling out with his parents, it seemed too…raw.
He didn’t want to use someone he was growing to care more for each day as a way of making himself feel better.
And Tsireya deserved better, being the kindhearted person she was. And he wasn’t quite there to give it to her yet.
But one day, he hoped he would be.
“Thank you,” was all he managed to say in reply offering a small tug of his lips as she stared at him for a moment longer before turning away, the clear tell of redness on the tip of her ears as she realized their proximity for the first time.
He didn’t see a reason to tease her about it, not wanting to break the serenity that they were currently in. It was somewhat possible to block everything that happened.
He did say somewhat.
The rustling of bushes becoming louder made both of them straighten up and turn back, only to see Jake coming closer in a slow yet determined stride.
Lo’ak felt his heart starting to beat faster, a sudden change from the steady calm it had managed to find in the last couple of hours.
The reality was catching up to him again at the appearance of his father.
Tsireya turned to look at him with her concerned wide eyes again, he didn’t manage to answer her before his dad had reached them - but Lo’ak didn’t expect to notice the nervous fiddle of his hands as Jake stopped only a few feet away.
“Hey kids-” his pause was out of character. “Do you mind if I speak to my son a bit, Tsireya?”
As if Lo’ak couldn’t fall for the girl more than he already did. Because instead of letting the presence of his father and Toruk Makto completely intimidate her, she turned to him first; Silently asking if he wanted her to leave.
Jake seemed to be surprised himself, although pleasantly so. He has been so used to everyone outside of his family doing most things at his beck and call, both as a clan leader and war hero. He had clearly underestimated the relationship between the two young teens in front of him.
Tsireya stood to leave quickly at the assuring nod of Lo’ak, before parting with a polite smile in Jake’s direction and going back to the village with one last look over her shoulder.
There was a moment of complete stillness before Jake came and sat down on the space previously occupied next to Lo’ak. The boy didn’t even bother to acknowledge his father, simply staring out at the lapping water, shoulders hunched over.
His two braids on the side of his face felt like the only shield to cover him as he let them hang, avoiding eye contact firmly.
Jake let out a heavy sigh, having already expected the cold behavior of his youngest son.
He didn’t blame him either.
He had acted like a grade-A asshole, with the biggest A to exist in the universe. And towards his own child too.
Jake Sully has never claimed parenthood to be easy in any way. It was a hard, taxing journey that he obviously was still trying to learn from. It was a road that never stopped no matter how old his kids got. He would always be a father, but he’s admittedly been a shit one as of late.
And that wasn’t only according to you.
Your words had hurt. Like a damn punch to his face. Or ten.
That was true - Neytiri knew it too. And that made him think and regret. If those words stung him as they did, how much had he hurt his own kid by saying something he didn’t even mean?
Not really at least.
Jake had been angry at the moment. Pissed off, to be honest. But it was also the overwhelming worry of his kid’s disappearance that made him act out. But it was no excuse for anything he had said.
You were still avoiding him. Well, ignoring is more like it. Which was even worse. Besides your siblings, you were actively shutting out the presence of both him and Neytiri despite their tries in the last few hours to speak.
Kiri was the one to voice out your thoughts. “She won’t speak unless Lo’ak forgives you first.”
Was it strange that Jake was still proud of you? You owned the same pride he did as a young marine and his first moments on Pandora.
An unyielding pride that often got him in trouble.
But for you, it was a pride that protected your siblings even against your own parents.
“You know, sometimes I think you deserve a better dad.”
Lo’ak didn’t reply, but the shift in his body assured Jake that he was paying attention.
“I never wanted kids. Never even thought of having them until I met your mother. The world was already shitty enough as it was, so I didn’t see a point in bringing new life into it. And after my injury, that thought cemented.”
“Well, I’m sorry for ending up being your kid,” his low mutter was an inner thought not ever planning to see the light of day. Especially in front of the man himself. But he couldn’t stop himself.
Jake let out a shuddering breath, finally realizing how deep this…trauma his youngest son was experiencing. And you had been right again; it was all his fault.
“No, no Lo’ak,” moving closer, his son didn’t resist as he gently grabbed the back of his nape to push their foreheads together.
Despite his bitter words, his body still relaxed at the comforting feeling. Because it was obvious - even after everything, he still loved his dad. Still craved the comforts of his protective touches, and his overpowering hugs that were rare but much needed whenever offered.
“I’m sorry, son,” Jake whispered, eyes clenched shut and voice wavering with tears. “I have not been the father you needed since the war started, I know that now. I will try to improve, and I can’t promise I won’t fuck up further in the coming days, but I will never not love you.”
“Dad…”
Lo’ak wanted to cry.
And in the protective embrace of his dad, he did. He let those long held tears flow loose, dripping down his cheeks and starting to obscure his vision as his breath started to heave at the force of it all.
“What I said wasn’t true. I am proud of the man you’re starting to grow into, and you have never shamed this family. I am the one who should be ashamed, never you.”
“I-I am sorry-”
“Stop saying sorry,” Jake demanded pulling his son closer. “Your sister was right. My burdens should not fall on your shoulders. You’re still young and deserve to be a child, not a soldier. So I am sorry.”
Pressing his lips against the crown on his youngest boy’s head, Jake only held him as his silent tears turned into soft sobs. All the pain and hurt that he had bottled up because of him, finally being lifted off his young shoulders that should have never been born them to begin with.
“Will you ever forgive your old man of his faults?” His dad asked after several minutes he finished crying, his deep voice hoarse with nerves.
Lo’ak had no idea how long his meltdown lasted, only letting out everything in the presence of his dad without restraint until he had no more tears left. It could have been five minutes or ten. Who knew at this point?
“You’re my dad…” he had whispered in return. “I will always forgive you.”
There was a thankful smile on Jake’s face, wrinkles crinkling in the corners of his wet eyes. “Then you’re a far better person than I have ever been. Thank you.”
He swallowed, and for the first time in a while, his next words had never been more genuine than at this moment.
“I love you, dad.”
There was a firm, warm squeeze around his body at hearing that.
“God, I love you too, kiddo. So much you don’t even know.”
Maybe he’d been mistaken after all.
Lo’ak doubted this would be the end of their turmoils because life came with them. It was just how it was; parents get angry at their kids, siblings get angry at each other and vice versa.
It was expected, but at least from now on he would be assured of his parents’ love for him, and their presence would be constant and there whenever he would need them despite their own faults as people.

Updates will unfortunately be a bit slow moving forward. My 3rd semester has started and I’ve started to prepare for my MA thesis + 4 classes, so my days are packed 🥲

about time we found each other again.
leto atreides x reader
summary: even years after your wedding got called off, leto is not sure he truly really got over you.
warnings: implied cheating (I am so sorry lady jessica I love you), death of a parent, angst, probably inaccurate dune lore stuff my most sincere apologies I did my best
tags: f!reader, arranged marriage, first love, love confessions, estrangement, time jump where the second part takes place a few years before the first movie (this doesn't matter at all tbh)
word count: 2.1k
this is my first time writing for leto so I hope he's alright lol<3
Tumblr media
When you came to meet Leto Atreides for the first time, it was instantaneous; maybe you couldn't rightfully affirm it with conviction yet, but some deep part of you immediately knew that you desired him to be the one by your side for the rest of time.
He had been the only other person around your age when you and your family attended a special meeting on Caladan, and you could very well feel your heart beat faster and your cheeks burn hot at each of his furtive glance thrown your way and each slight smirk over either of your faces when your gaze met his.
Maybe leaving your home land and being sent to eventually move to Caladan wouldn’t be as bad as you had thought, after all.
And it wasn't. You quickly, borderline scarily quickly fell in love with Leto, you were sure of it by now. His manners were those of a man of respect, and he was kind and compassionate, he didn’t have the over excessive pride you would expect from a destined duke.
And ultimately, you grew to also be almost pretty sure that he felt the same way towards you, from the way he listened to you with no feigned interest whenever you shared stories with him, from the way his warm brown eyes so gently looked over at you, from the way he always made sure you were treated right.
You remembered it to be a warm evening when he officially confessed his love to you.
You had been walking mindlessly through seemingly never ending fields, talking about anything and everything for what felt like a lifetime, eventually stopping to lay down and watch the sun set.
Leto had settled on gently putting flowers in your hair while you told him about your childhood on your home land, smiling radiantly as he admired you lovingly, brushing your cheek with the back of his hand before he leaned in to kiss you.
Your own hand was quick to find his dark curls neatly slicked back as he hovered over you, the tip of his fingers delicately tracing your face and neck before he pulled away from your lips when it became absolutely necessary.
From there, the sunset and everything else became insignificant, everything could be crumbling around you and you wouldn’t pay it any mind; nothing mattered, not when Leto promised to love you until his very last breath here in the middle of nowhere.
So when you eventually had your parents visit you on Caladan and announce to you that you had been sent there for them to agree with the Atreides upon arranging a marriage with Leto, you couldn’t be happier and it couldn’t be more convenient; you would have chosen him anyway, if given the choice.
Leto had the competence of making everything seem so easy, and he turned out to be quick to ease your worries about your upcoming future as a duchess.
Even under the looming political pressure of your marriage, this wedding meant a starting point for the rest of your life, a part you could not wait to share with him, even if it meant a lot of responsibilities and changes.
Then so suddenly, all at once, it all fell apart, everything.
It was late in the night when you and Leto were laughing and dancing, rehearsing for the forthcoming wedding. Servants had knocked onto your shared room door, and Leto’s hand left your waist as he scurried away to answer the door, opening and making way for them to enter the room.
They came in with a polite nod, one of them unrolling a parchment letter, reading out loud to the both of you.
The letter was from your father, announcing the news that your mother had died while on a mission, resulting in the need of your presence at your home land to take over her legacy and responsibilities for a while.
You didn’t understand what it involved right away, maybe from the shock of the sudden, dreadful news, the loss of your mother too hard to swallow.
You didn’t understand that it meant that you and Leto were bound to be no more, that either of you were now assigned to different fates and responsibilities, that the marriage was therefore called off for the moment being.
And you quite certainly didn't realize that the night you spent tossing and turning around your shared bed with eyes wide open until the sunrise was the last night by his side, that the morning you left was the last time you would see him.
Until years later, what felt like a lifetime.
When you came back to Caladan for political and business reasons, it was only because of the absolute necessity of your presence, otherwise you wouldn't have shown up.
Finding him again after so long drowned you right back again in the same hollow feeling you endured the moment you were drawn apart years ago, and while you mirrored his polite nod and smirk, you couldn't help but still feel the pain of being estranged so brutally, of seeing him again after so many years.
He was wearing the slowly appearing gray streaks of hair beautifully, and the beard suited him like he was made for it; it made his handsome face look a bit more harsh and severe, but he was a duke now, after all.
You lightly cleared your throat as you made your way to leave the meeting once it was over, troubled as you could feel the weight of his gaze burning holes through you all along. You could feel your heart pound through your ribcage the exact same way it used to when he held you when you were younger, and you ultimately came to the rotten conclusion that your stay here in his presence would be a tough, challenging time for you, and that dwelling on the past had been a bad idea, exactly like you had anticipated it to be.
It was wonderful out there, just like you had remembered it to be. The view from the balcony offered you an endless panorama over Caladan and its lush lands, and while you loved your home land with your whole being, you couldn’t deny missing living on Caladan.
The fresh breeze of the night was nothing but pleasant, and even though you were slowly starting to feel goosebump growing over your skin, you figured the view of the sun starting to set was more important.
“I thought I could stay focused while in your presence.” you recognize his voice all too well, and you wonder if the shiver running down your spine is caused by his sudden apparition or the wind hitting you. “I was deeply wrong”
“Leto,” you chuckle sheepishly, blushing as you turn around and face him.
A bittersweet smile has quirked upon his face, and he steps further and approaches you. The years have been unkind to him, lines of wisdom and experience growing upon his face transforming him into a man hardened by duty. Yet, beneath the rough facade, you can still see the eyes and soul of the man you once knew and loved.
“Why only now?” he asks, a certain helplessness painted across his face.
“What?”
He sighs as he looks away, licks his lips as he walks besides you and grips the barrier of the balcony with both hands. You only hear the wind as you watch and wait for him to do, to say something.
“This should have been yours. All of this” he mutters, gaze fixed on the sight before him. The clouds look like cotton ripped apart and spread through the wide sky, and the sun setting over Caladan turns them into an abnormal color, one you wouldn't even be able to define. “I waited for you.” Leto declares, head turning to look back at you like he is trying to figure out how you feel or waiting for you to say something.
Your eyes close as a small exhale leaves your mouth. “Why should it matter now, Leto” you scoff, turning away to try to escape his gaze, heavier than you remember.
“It has always mattered” he declares, following your steps as you try to inch away from him. He calls your name in a weak plea, his hand coming to rest over your arm. “Look at me. Please”
You do. You turn back to him, and he looks at you like you will be slipping away from him any moment now, like you're just a ghost, like you're water in his bare hands. “Tell me you did not think of me all those years and I'll leave you alone.” he whispers feebly, face close to yours as he still holds onto your arm, and you can feel your breaths mingling from how close he is to you.
His unwavering gaze is locked on yours, desperately waiting for you to say something. Eventually, your lack of response speaks for itself, and he nods slightly. “That's what I thought.”
“Leto.”
His hands come to cup your face, holding it steady as with a sigh, his forehead rests against yours. Your eyelids fall shut under the weight of it all and you exhale softly, your hand wrapping around his wrist, stroking along his forearm.
“I have loved you since I met you. I should have found you and married you regardless.” he mutters, barely louder than a whisper. His declaration makes something flutter deep in your core, and you grimace like his words feel sour to hear. You should have done it differently, should have come back to Caladan after everything went back to normal after your mother's death.
“And your wife?” you rhetorically ask, with a dubious scoff.
“She's not– we never married.” he shakes his head, pulling away from your forehead to look back at you, your hand falling to your side again when you let go of his arm. His gaze and the way his eyebrows are angled weakly are conveying everything you need to know, confirming every conclusion you made.
Your lips part slightly, some part of you refusing to believe in what he's indirectly telling you, refusing to believe that he gave up on some part of his life waiting for you.
“We were promised a marriage together, a life together” he continues, taking hold of your hand, fingers lacing with yours tentatively. “I always hoped you would come back and we would resume our life together where it stopped.”
“Now still?” you weakly ask, equally pained and somehow flattered that he never really got over you.
Again, the lack of answer and his previous actions prove the point, and you hold his hand tighter when you swallow with difficulty. Your other hand slightly trembles when you reach to touch his face, settling to rest at his bearded cheek, and you smile weakly as you trace the lines that you never got to witness appear.
“We were so young” you smile, drawing one out of him. The corners of his lips turn upwards as his hand covers your own over his face, pulling it to bring it to his mouth to kiss your knuckles softly, the feeling of his warm breath over your skin taking you years back.
“Don't go back.” he begs against your hand, his voice wavering a little. There’s a glint in his eyes as his gaze darts up at you that makes it impossible for you to consider refusing and giving up on him again. “You belong here.”
Your eyebrows knit in uncertainty as you tear your gaze away from him, looking at the endless view again. You can't help but overthink every consequence coming back to Caladan is going to involve, for you as much as for Leto, and especially for his own concubine that is at this point already long forgotten by him.
This is unfair, but some part of you acknowledges your younger selves feelings and remembers how devastated you were to leave him; leaving again while knowing that he still cares after so many years and regrets not marrying you may hurt even more.
“This will make people talk, Leto.” you wince, looking back at him.
He shakes his head carefreely. “Let them.” he affirms with a dismissive scoff as his hands settle over your hips. You grin softly as he pulls you closer, and a soft exhale leaves your mouth when your arms wrap around his neck.
He takes a while to admire your face, how it has changed despite still remaining the one of the woman he fell in love with long ago.
When he kisses you, it is the exact same way he used to when you were young.

Okay okay. Luke x a daughter of Dionysus. I’m just obsessed with the idea of Luke, the king of godly daddy issues, and a girl who is close to her godly parent and physically cannot understand where he’s coming from because she loves her dad! He’s always been there because he’s in charge of camp. Just the dichotomy of these complete opposites being in love.

𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭
A/n- I love this! Sorry it took me a few days to finish this ):
warnings- some angst, nothing else really.
Tumblr media
“Do I look okay?” He asked, adjusting his suit that one of his siblings lended him. He looked in the mirror, and you smiled at him, looking up and coming up behind him, wrapping an arm around him. He was beyond nervous.
“You look perfect. Don’t worry about it too much. He’ll be too drunk by the end of the night anyways.” You mumbled, he laughed quietly, turning around and looking at you up and down in your dress.
“You look gorgeous.” He said to you, giving you a kiss, his hands cupping your cheeks.
Your dad had set up a nice dinner at a nice restaurant outside of the camp. He had just learnt of you both dating, and he was mad at first, but it stopped after a while.
He had booked this dinner mostly for himself, of course. But you and Luke were invited, and Dionysus secretly hoped to get to know more about the boy.
“Hurry up, lovebirds.” Your dad rapped on your cabin door, tone laced with annoyance. You giggled and rolled your eyes.
“You ready?” You asked him, holding your bag. He nodded, linking his arm with yours. He straightened his back as you opened the door.
“Hi, daddy.” You said.
“Finally. What took you guys so long?” He was dressed in a tropical styled shirt, some shorts, his hair was disheveled. His usual. You both suddenly felt over dressed.
“I was getting ready. You know-“
“Yes, yes I know.” He waved it off, and he looked at Luke.
“Luke.” He nodded to him.
“Sir.”
“Don’t call me that. Gods that makes me feel old.” He rolled his eyes, and Luke just nodded. You were led to a car, a car that you didn’t even know your dad had.
You both sat in the back, it was awkwardly silent.
“How long have you guys been dating, again?” He asked suddenly. You sighed.
“Almost a year.” You said, slightly upset he didn’t remember.
He just nodded, and it was silent the rest of the drive. Once the car had stopped, Luke was out of the car and opening up your door for you. Your dad mentally noted it.
Luke grabbed your hand, holding it as you smiled at him. He gave you a small smile back.
The server led you to the tables, a table ready. Luke sat next to you, and so did your dad. You were stuck in the middle of them.
Your dad, obviously ordered the best wine his money could buy for himself. You got your favorite drink, and Luke, he just ordered a Dr. pepper.
Your dad took a sip as soon as it came, processing how it tasted.
“Garbage.” He mumbled to himself, settling into the chair he sat in.
You and Luke glanced at each other. “What?” Dionysus asked, noticing your glances.
“Nothing, dad.” You took a sip of your own drink, he just ignored it for now.
“So, uh, what do you like about my daughter?” He asked, his cup in hand, leaning back in his chair. He was testing Luke.
Okay, hitting him with the hard questions first.
“Everything.” He said simply, and it was the truth.
He narrowed his eyes, you swallowed, “daddy, don’t.” You sighed.
“What? I’m just looking out for you.”
You loved your dad, of course you did. But he was very, very overprotective. He’s kicked guys out of camp because they tried to hit on you when you didn’t like it, he’s threatened others.
This was going to be a longggg dinner.
❤︎︎❤︎︎❤︎︎❤︎︎❤︎︎
He took off his shoes, entering the cabin again. Quickly, he shoved off his suit and tie, leaving him shirtless.
“I’m gonna change, okay?” You told him quietly, he nodded and sat at the foot of your bed. When you entered the bathroom, he sighed heavily, burying his face into his hands.
He felt terrible, he was jealous the whole night. He was jealous of you. You and your dads perfect relationship, he wanted that.
But you were an only child, and he was a Hermes kid. The child of the God with the most kids.
You were so close with him, it hurt Luke to see. But he still enjoyed the night, how could he not? He loved seeing you in the dress, and he loved seeing you happy. That was all he wanted in the end. If you were happy, he was happier.
You silently came out the bathroom, he didn’t notice you coming out until you sat next to him and laid your head on his shoulder. He looked up, clearing his throat.
“Sorry.” He said, his voice raspy.
“You don’t have to be sorry. I know.” You laid down, and he looked at you, you motioned for him to lay down next to you.
You wrapped your arms around him, giving him a kiss. You stared into each others eyes.
“Its not your fault my dad sucks. I shouldn’t be upset over it.” He said quietly.
“But it’s okay to be. I love you, Luke. You never have to hide your feelings from me. You’re perfect, and if your dad can’t see that, then I think he’s a blind man.” You had a hand in his curls. A small smile was on his face as you spoke.
“I love you.” He said, tears threatening to fall at your speech. He gave you a kiss, his soft lips against yours.
“I know.”

The day dawned crisp and clear, sunlight peering through the flowing curtains and illuminating your path along the long hallway of your lavish home. The sounds of maids bustling through the estate and the gravel crackling beneath the horse's hoofs from outside filled your ears. Your mind raced with the many tasks at hand for today as you straightened out your dress. The last ball of the season was a significant one indeed, and you had the honor of hosting it tonight. The last few days were filled with overseeing that every detail of the evening, no matter how small, was managed and executed perfectly.
As the maids fetched accessories and floral arrangements for you to approve ahead of the festivities, you pondered how your life had drastically changed. A mere three months had passed since your wedding day. Still, it seemed a lifetime ago. You had every reason to be happy, you had married well, living more than comfortably, and your husband was not unkind towards you like others you've heard about. But your marriage to the viscount wasn't exactly the love story of the century, to say the least.
After the passing of both your parents, Lady Danbury had taken you in as one of her own. Raised you to be a lady of society in every way she saw fit and even sponsored your coming out last season. The very same season, the Queen appointed you as her diamond. Not long after, none other than Anthony Bridgerton set his sights on you, surpassing any honorable suitor that even thought about appearing at your doorstep. The entire courtship, along with the proposal, felt purely transactional. Anthony berated you with questions, encounters feeling more like interviews than any courting you were used to. It was not as if you were not attracted to the man if you were being entirely honest with yourself; you'd spent the better half of your time bottling up whatever it is that blossoms in your chest when he is near. And you hated yourself for it. For feeling something you couldn't even name for a man who treated as nothing more than an object. Every public outing where he was caring towards you, even kind and every bit of charming you could ever hope for, raised your hopes high only to see them crashing down at the indifference towards you the moment you were alone without the peering eyes of the ton on you.
Your wedding and honeymoon came and went in a blur. Not even able to consummate the marriage properly due to an argument that left you both enraged and unable to look each other in the eye in the days that followed. The following months were a string of simple greetings in passing and only speaking to one another when absolutely necessary. The empty house you now lived in was becoming your own personal void without so much as the company of your supposed husband.
"Viscountess Bridgerton, are you alright?" Your maid questioned as you snapped out of your haze and directed your attention back to the bouquets before you.
"Yes, this one will be lovely for tonight, thank you." You made your final decision as Anthony strolled into the room. Your maids quickly making themselves sparse, leaving the two of you alone.
"My family should be arriving any second; I assume everything for tonight is in order, is it not?" The underlying sarcasm and questioning of your ability as the lady of the house crawled right under your skin, any lingering feelings you had been contemplating only a moment ago for the Viscount gone in an instant at his distasteful manner.
"Yes, Lord Bridgerton." You replied dryly.
"Dear, we are married and have been for some time now. I would very much like it if I did not have to tell you to address me by my first name while we are in our home." You audibly scoffed at his command while standing from your seat.
"And I would very much like it if my husband would not treat me as though I do not exist." You snapped. Anthony's jaw clenched as he tensed before you. "Seems like neither of us shall get what we want. Now if you'll excuse me, my lord, I have some preparations still pending for tonight. I am sure you can see your family to their rooms for now."
"Now, you will not even greet my family. Do you have a distaste for them as well?"
"Never. I adore your mama and siblings as if they were my own." Anthony searched for any sign of deceit but instead found honest eyes staring back at him, making his heart ache. "If anything, I am grateful. Alas, there shall be a Bridgerton in this home I do not dislike."
Your thoughts betrayed you abruptly exited the room and returned to your bed chambers to prepare for the evening, shutting the door and leaning against it in an attempt to steady yourself. Damn him. His scent blurred your thoughts and inhibited every one of your senses as you attempted to concentrate on the anger portrayed in his words. Instead, your mind wandered to how his white shirt hugged every curve of his chest, the plumpness of his lips, and the curve of his jaw. It was alluring in the most intoxicating way. You knew you had to compose yourself before the night began; the last thing you needed was to be distraught at your own ball.
------------------------
You stepped into the ballroom in your new dress gown the modiste had spent a significant amount of time making especially for this occasion. The staircase was beautifully adorned with white roses and touches of lilacs cascading down onto the main area. Candelabras and other flourishing arrangements were stationed around the refreshment tables your guests gathered at, and the thrumming rhythm of classical music whispered into your ears as you took notice of everyone enjoying themselves before greeting them.
Unbeknownst to you, Anthony stood at the opposite end of the ballroom, observing how you conducted yourself gracefully amongst the guests—making light conversations while extending your kindness to everyone. He marveled at your ability to make each person feel as though they had your undivided attention; although he would never admit it, he found himself yearning for that same attention from you.
Early on, Anthony knew you fit all the requirements he had given himself for a wife. Someone honorable and suitable enough to hold the role of his Viscountess. It was precisely why he had chosen you, but that wasn't the only motive. You were the only lady's company outside his sisters; he did not particularly hate. Every potential partner he sought that season out had come up empty, whether it had been on the conversation or any other unfulfilling matter they discussed. You were different. You carried a conversation like no other, educated in far more areas than he could've hoped for, but none of that quite captured his heart in an unsuspecting manner like your character. You were kind and compassionate in a way he admired; you challenged him in ways that irritated him to no end, yet he found himself entirely enraptured by you. This is precisely why he had no choice other than shut you out completely. Anthony knew letting you get too close would be going against everything he wanted for himself. He couldn't let himself love another or have another love him; with love came loss. That he knew for certain.
"All seems good with the two of you, I see." Daphne smiled while moving to stand by Anthony as she spoke, breaking his train of thought.
"Good? I do not follow, dear sister." Anthony cleared his throat.
"Yes, good. With the way you were just openly admiring your wife, I assume it is only because the two of you have finally gotten over yourselves and admitted whatever it is you feel for one another." Anthony practically rolled his eyes at his younger sister, beginning to regret ever being forthcoming with her about the circumstances of his marriage early on. "Oh, do not tell me you are still playing this game? At this stage of marriage? Anthony-" She began scolding him, but he interrupted and led her to a more private area of the ballroom.
"There is no game. We married because it was our duty to do so. Nothing more, nothing less. You will have to accept that, Daphne." Anthony's voice grew stern as he furrowed his brows at his sister.
"And I do. What I will not accept is the way your love for each other goes unspoken when it is clear to everyone around you." She spoke her following words in a hushed tone as to keep anyone who may be standing near from listening to them. "There is no doubt you hold love in your heart for her, brother. But if you do not tell her soon, I fear you will lose her and your only chance at happiness forever." With that, Daphne offered him a soft smile before walking towards Simon, who busied himself greeting Lady Danbury and her mama.
The night went on better than you could've hoped for. The dances and mingling were without a flaw, and even Lady Bridgerton and the Dutchess were quick to praise you on how well everything had turned out. Soon the guests started to filter out, making their way home after a long night of celebration. You strolled over to your husband after bidding goodbye to her majesty the Queen and ensuring everything had been to her liking. Anthony couldn't help but take notice of how stunning you looked tonight. How your dress fell perfectly over your figure, gems scattered throughout to match his mother's necklace laid in the most alluring way on the supple skin of your neck and chest. He was entranced in a way he'd never been before. Perhaps Daphne had been right. There's a sentence he never thought he'd utter, he thought to himself. Perhaps he had let his fears control him for far too long.
You had barely noticed your ring slipping from your fingers to fall at Anthony's feet as you approached him. Both of you leaned down to reach for it in unison, fingers ghosting over one another, making your breath catch and your eyes meet as he placed it upon your finger once again. The intimacy of such a small moment becoming too much to bear far too quickly.
"I must go." You could not bear to withstand one more moment under Anthony's intense glare, the part of you that wanted to finally divulge all the feelings you'd fought so hard to suppress after all this time threatening to break through at any given moment. You suddenly stepped back, picked up your dress the best you could, and walked hastily to avoid attracting unwanted attention from lingering guests. As you paced through the gardens, an overwhelming and uncertain feeling washed over you before you overheard Anthony's steps behind you.
"Why? Why is it that you distance yourself from me?" Anthony shouted in a hushed tone toward you.
"Me? I am not the one stuffed in my office all day, coming to bed at late hours of the night when I am asleep and gone once I wake. Avoiding me day in and day out as if I am a plague to you." Tears welled in your eyes, making Anthony's breath hitch. He could not stand to see you like this. Every nerve in his body burned to fix whatever was troubling you, even if he was the one who caused it. Every feeling he had worked so hard to bury all this time, convincing himself he did not love you, could not love you, surfacing with every word that escaped your lips. "You treat me as though you do not care for me." Your voice was just low enough for him to hear, eyes cast downward, unable to give him so much as a glance through his silence.
"Do not care for you? It is as if I am being consumed when I am with you. I cannot hold a breath or do the most ordinary task without you racing across my every thought. I feel as though I am losing my sanity because I cannot bear to be without you for one second. And when you are near me, it is positively intoxicating in ways I did not know to be possible." Anthony stepped cautiously toward you, fingers ghosting over your cheek, eyes dancing along your features with adoration filling them. "I love you. I love you as much as a person can love another. I do not wish to hold it inside anymore. I love you."
"I love you too." A sob wracked your chest as you responded without hesitation. The reflection in your eyes conveyed the devotion and tenderness he yearned for. It was as if you indeed saw the pieces of him but only sought to love him as he was, incomplete and perfect in every way in your eyes. As your husband.
Your heartbeat quickened as Anthony stepped close enough so that your noses practically brushed against one another—a familiar desire spreading from your heart to your chest.
Anthony cupped your face, his thumb tenderly stroking your cheek. Chills spread along your skin at the warmth of his touch. Unbridled affection flowed freely and filled the space between you. Your lips met for what felt like the first time; his other hand settled at your waist, prompting you closer to him and deepening the kiss. His lips moved against yours with a gentle urgency. It was as if nothing else mattered, the past becoming more of a distant memory the further you melted into him. There was only this moment. Anthony unwillingly pulled away, leaving your foreheads pressed against one another, his hair slightly disheveled from your fingers running through it, lips swollen and thoroughly kissed. A deep sigh escaped him before he spoke.
"I would marry you again if I could. Do it all over from the very beginning." His voice slightly wavered at the sentiment; it suddenly weighed on him how much he truly meant it. He wished nothing more than to turn back time and love you the way you deserve from the very beginning. Things would have been so different.
"Anthony, you do not need to embellish. We already married." A chuckle escaped you, a knowing smile gracing his lips. "What?"
"You called me Anthony."

chapter nine: rest for the weary
Destroyed.
That was the only thought fleeting through your mind when you approached Eisen’s shattered door, jagged edges like rows of shark teeth. Your hand faltered, stopping just before the knob, like the whole store would disintegrate at the slightest turn.
Eddie stepped aside and gently opened the door, the bell jingling mockingly, watching to ensure that no more glass fell from the panes. “Careful,” he murmured, fingers ghosting over the middle of your back for just a second while you stepped over the threshold. Goosebumps formed beneath your shirt at his unexpected touch, brief as it was.
Your heart lurched once more as you entered the store, the normally meticulously organized shelves now coated in spray painted tags and profanities. A crudely drawn phallic symbol, complete with testicles and pubic hair, took up most of the front of the desk. The office door bore another one with a similar resemblance.
You were definitely surprised by Eddie’s offer to help out at Eisen’s, but nothing compared to the blatant shock on Ben’s face when he saw who accompanied you to the store. Your friend’s jaw clenched instinctively, and you realized he must have thought you brought Eddie here to confess.
“We came to help clean,” you quickly clarified, hoping Eddie didn’t sense the reasoning behind your explanation.
Silent tension thickened between the two men, your words your sole weapon to tear into it. “What can we do?” You asked Ben, volunteering yourself and Eddie in hopes of derailing potential conflict.
Ben cleared his throat, eyes swooping over the store that was still very much in disarray. Glass shards glittered across the floor despite his previous claims to have swept up, though you imagined that it was difficult to see clearly through his cloud of exhaustion. When he didn’t answer, you grabbed a broom from beside the door.
“I just got off the phone with the—” Aunt Tam walked in from the office, pausing mid-sentence when she spotted you. Her lips curled into whatever semblance of a smile she could muster as she shuffled over to wrap you in a hug. Her dark brown curls brushed your cheek.
When she pulled back, you hardly recognized her. Besides the passage of time carving wrinkles into her forehead and the bridge of her nose, her skin was free of make-up. You couldn’t remember the last time you saw her without at least mascara coating her lashes.
“We’re here to help with whatever you need.” You swallowed the lump in your throat at the sight of her bare face, the worry now permanently sealed into her eyes.
At the mention of a we, Aunt Tam glanced at the man beside you. Tepidly, Eddie stepped forward and held out his hand to shake hers. “Eddie Munson,” he said, posture straightening as he braced himself for a reaction. But if Ben truly suspected that Eddie had vandalized the store, he hadn’t shared that theory with his mother, because she shook Eddie’s hand without hesitation.
“Eddie can help remove the graffiti,” you offered, and Eddie nodded.
“Just need some WD-40,” he added with a small smile. “Maybe some steel wool if it’s really stubborn.”
Aunt Tam’s eyes lit up, taking your hand and giving it a squeeze that leaves your bones aching. “Thank you,” she said, her voice thick with emotion as she turned to face Eddie. “Thank you, Eddie.” She wiped at her nose with one shirt sleeve. “We should have all of that in the back, if you’ll follow me…”
Eddie nodded again, stuffing his hands in his pockets and trailing behind her. “Yes, ma’am.”
When you could be sure that both he and Aunt Tam were out of earshot, you shuffled over to Ben. “It wasn’t him,” you said under your breath. “He was at a concert that night, and even if he wasn’t—he wouldn’t do this.” You gestured at the destruction.
Not fully convinced of Eddie’s innocence, Ben narrowed his eyes behind his glasses. “How do you know?”
“The first night he stayed at the motel, he was smoking pot in his room. And when I told him not to, he listened.” You thought back to that moment, to his smirk that had you wondering if he would light another joint as soon as you turned your back. “And even though I basically accused him of vandalizing Eisen’s—before I knew where he really was—he still brought my essay to school today.”
Ben breathed out a defeated sigh. “Okay, fine,” he conceded, scratching at the back of his neck. “Is it bad that I wished it was him, so that we could stop worrying about whoever it was coming back and doing it again?”
You wrinkled your nose. “Kind of, yeah.” He scowled, playfulness stronger than any contempt, and you tapped the broomstick against his arm. “I’m guessing you didn’t share your theory with your parents?”
He shook his head. “My dad’s at the police station right now to see if any other shops caught the person on camera.”
“Yours didn’t?”
“Never installed any. Safe neighborhood, no need, y’know?” He rolled his eyes at his family’s naivety. “Seems like everyone else on the block felt the same way.”
You wanted to say more, to properly convey your sympathy, but your aunt and Eddie returned with the spray paint removal supplies. The broom suddenly became more interesting than ever before, your eyes glued to it as you brushed it against the floor. You didn't dare look at Eddie until he turned his back to you.
“All right,” he murmured to himself, tossing a rag over his shoulder and placing his hands squarely on his hips. The paint cans that had been sprayed were a lost cause, the veins in his biceps pulsing as he grabbed two at a time and heaved them onto the floor with soft grunts.
A teasing whisper tickled the shell of your ear. “Wipe your drool.” You could feel Ben’s smile as he spoke but didn’t have time to swat at him before he jogged over to help Eddie.
You preventatively swiped at your chin, relieved that you weren’t actually drooling. And why would you be? Eddie was your friend; nothing more, and sometimes a whole lot less. The excitement you’d felt when he’d shown up with your paper this afternoon was relief, not some burgeoning crush. Your hope that he would visit the front desk during your shifts could easily be explained as an eagerness for conversation, the ultimate cure for boredom. And the way you felt your heart beating in your stomach when he’d held your hand earlier–
It was only because it had been a long time since anyone had reached for you with an intimate gesture, you told yourself, save for Nora briefly squeezing your hand just before Eddie had taken it. But there was no flutter with Nora. A surge of gratefulness, maybe, but nothing compared to what Eddie’s touch had evoked.
“Heiress?”
Your head swiveled towards the sound of your nickname being called. Eddie looked at you, puzzled and impatient. “You okay? I’ve called your name, like, fifty times.”
“Twice,” Ben said; the clarification could have been a reassurance that you hadn’t spaced out for that long, or just a belated dig at Eddie. Either way, you appreciated it.
“Do you have one of those hair tie things?” Eddie shook his hair, which was already frizzing from perspiration.
You nodded dumbly, fingers fumbling for the elastic shoved deep into the abyss of your purse. Had you been staring at him? Gawking, even, as you silently tried to sort out your feelings?
“Thanks.” Despite your best efforts, you couldn’t draw your gaze from him as he tied back his mess of curls into a bun at the nape of his neck.
Sweep. Sweep, and stop thinking about how his stubble-coated jawline might feel beneath your lips.
This desire, this lust–it was all temporary. Fleeting. It would swiftly exit once the rush of exhilaration from his rescue fully wore off, and you would once again be content with a platonic friendship.
Your insides backflipped once more when Eddie rubbed the rag over the shelf, wiped away the graffiti, and flashed a million-watt smile in your direction.
If you had your way, ‘moving on’ would happen sooner rather than later.
Tumblr media
Pristine wasn’t the right word to describe Eisen’s state when you finally left a few hours later, but the clean floor was a definite improvement. The graffiti was still visible on the shelves, but it had faded considerably with Eddie’s hard work. He stood next to Ben now, explaining how often to apply the WD-40 without ruining the finish.
Were they friends? Not even close. But each had let down their guard an inch more, though you remained unclear of the reason why Eddie’s was up in the first place.
A weighty exhaustion reminded you that you were surviving on pure adrenaline that had been steadily waning and was nearly depleted. A gentle hand rested on your shoulder as you returned the broom to its corner.
“Go home and rest,” Aunt Tam said kindly. “Ben told me you’ve been working nights and going to school. You need your sleep.”
“I know.” It was easier to agree than to argue, but the shop would be a mess if you had spent the afternoon sleeping.
Your aunt cocked her head and assessed you; whether you were too tired to properly fib or just her mother’s intuition, she didn’t believe you. “Well,” she sighed, “I told your boyfriend to get you home—”
Heat crept up your neck as she gestured a thumb towards Eddie. “Eddie’s not my boyfriend.”
Aunt Tam raised her eyebrows. “Oh, I just…he didn’t correct me earlier when I called you his girlfriend…and the looks you were giving each other…I figured…” She stopped, shaking off the notion as ridiculous.
Because it is ridiculous, you thought.
“We’re just friends.” That ‘just’ was cumbersome, like there was something inherently wrong with you and Eddie being friends. “We’re friends,” you amended, complete with a tired smile.
She fixed her composure, swiping her brunette bangs from her line of vision. “Well, we can’t thank you and your friend enough.”
She said that word like she knew something you didn’t. Worse, like you knew but refused to admit it.
Tumblr media
Grogginess slowed your usual fast pace, and you stepped into the subway car with only a second to spare.
The adrenaline fully wore off once you sat down; the plastic subway seat might as well have been a plush mattress swathed in Egyptian cotton sheets. It wasn’t until you allowed yourself to sit back and breathe that the achiness crept in. Your lower back twinged; your shoulders and biceps remained tense from sweeping and scrubbing the shelves for so long. If you could feel your feet, they would probably hurt, too.
The yawn you let out stretched the skin on your face and brought reflexive tears to your eyes, and you wiped them away with the back of your hand.
“Tired?” Eddie asked, the question warped by a heavy yawn of his own.
You nodded, blinking a few times to keep your eyes open; your head felt like it could loll right off of your neck without warning.
Eddie shifted slightly and patted his right shoulder with his left hand. “Rest.”
“S’okay,” you mumbled, heaviness tugging at your eyelids even as you spoke. Exhaustion had its grip on you, tight enough that you barely noticed your stomach fluttering at the thought of resting on him. “I’ll just pass out when we get home.”
But he took one look at you, at the fogginess that draped over your body like a weighted cloak, and promptly vetoed that idea. “Rest,” he said again; this time, his words held a commanding air.
You clocked his concern, so unused to the way you ran yourself ragged until the kettle ran empty, until the match burned out. Another yawn escaped you, bringing a single hot tear with it, and any attempt to convince him that this was normal instantly became obsolete.
Sparing yourself the argument, you laid your head atop his shoulder. His cotton t-shirt was soft against your ear, somewhat muffling the train’s clanking and other passengers’ conversations. As quiet as the subway could be at seven o’clock in the evening.
“Our stop is—”
“I know.” The vibrations of his voice, your head so close to his throat, punctuated the reassurance. “You sleep, Heiress.”
The last thing you remembered was your grip loosening on the backpack strategically placed between your feet, your fingers unfurling from the strap as you succumbed to a dreamless sleep.
A hand on your knee gently shook you awake just as the conductor’s muffled voice announced that the train was approaching Forest Hills, and you felt a yank on your consciousness that pulled you out of your seat and towards the open doors.
“My backpack—” The icy panic that flooded your veins was enough to jar you awake. When you turned back, you saw that the train had already pulled away from the track.
“Right here.” Eddie patted the bag now slung over his shoulder. Your heart rate returned to its normal beat as relief washed over your skin, a wave crashing into the surf at high tide.
The station’s stale air covered you like a quilt, and the conductor had barely announced the grating reminder to stand clear of the closing doors before unconsciousness again hooked its claws into you.
“There ya go,” Eddie whispered when you rested your head on his shoulder once more. “Comfy?”
“Mhm.” And you were–unnervingly so. You hadn’t been this relaxed in a long time; no moment in recent memory came to mind. The questions you desperately sought answers to–why he hesitated to tell you about the concert, why he let Aunt Tam believe that he was your boyfriend–seemed utterly inconsequential.
You could vaguely feel Eddie fidgeting as you drifted in and out of consciousness, struggling to adjust his posture and avoid any unwarranted touch.
Sleep transformed your body into that of a ragdoll, slumped over and limp, moving only as the train car swayed. Your limbs felt disconnected from your torso, which was why you barely registered the urgent grasp around your wrist.
“Hmm?” You blinked awake, blurred vision sharpening to reveal Eddie’s hand holding yours. No, not holding it; he was moving it. Moving it away from the denim that creased along his inner thigh.
“Shit, I—” Humiliation stole your words, stabbed at them with its forked tongue and left you scrambling for an explanation. “I didn’t mean to.”
Eddie’s own cheeks turned a rosy pink, as though his fingers had been accidentally creeping towards the inseam of your jeans. “No, I—I know,” he stammered, clocking the horror on your face and offering a sheepish smile. Your fingertips burned where he’d touched them, where you’d touched him.
There was no way you could sleep after that, your body far too alert despite the ever-increasing weight of your eyelids. You sat up straighter; as you did, Eddie placed your backpack on his lap. When you reached for it, he shook his head and pulled back slightly, and your brows furrowed at your misinterpretation.
“I got it,” he said, a hoarseness in his voice that you weren’t able to place. “You can keep resting.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yup,” he answered too quickly, wrapping one arm around the bag and tugging it even closer to his chest. “S’all good.”
A strange tension lingered, one that differed from the anger that pulled the conversation taut during your last subway ride home together. Eddie was physically beside you, but his eyes searched the car like he was gearing up for another round of I Spy.
You needed to speak and move past the embarrassment that tethered you to silence.
“Eddie?” Your voice was a whisper, barely audible over the train’s clacking and your own internal monologue.
“Hmm?”
You swallowed. “Why didn’t you tell me about going to see your old band?”
Eddie froze, his arm still tight around your bag; for a moment, you wondered if you crossed the line.
Finally, he spoke. “Didn’t want to.”
An answer and a non-answer simultaneously, telling you to back off. But you’d be damned if you let today’s progress be soured.
“I wouldn’t have judged you.” Slowly, you let your eyes fall on him, noticing his fingers picking at a loose thread on his jeans. “You don’t have to tell me. But just so you know.”
He nodded, and you prayed he absorbed the reassurance as it traveled from your lips to his ears. His response was not what you expected, although nothing with Eddie has gone to plan thus far.
“Why haven’t you told your parents about school?”
He knocked you off-kilter despite his calm tone; surprisingly, there was no judgment from him, either. “I don’t want to disappoint them.” When Eddie just looked at you, palms open and brows raised, you realized you’d just answered your own question. “How would you seeing Death’s Echo disappoint me?”
“I dunno.” One scuffed sneaker squeaked against the floor. “I talked a big game about how the music industry is all bullshit and how I didn’t care about the band anymore, but…”
“You miss it,” you filled in.
He sucked his lips to his teeth before nodding. “I miss it,” he said with a reluctant chuckle. “I miss it so fuckin’ much.”
Exhaling a long breath, he continued. “I mean, I really don’t miss being the record label’s bitch. And I hate the thought of being a sellout. But nothing beats that adrenaline rush you get when you walk on stage and the crowd is screaming your name, or when they sing your lyrics back to you. Lyrics you wrote.”
You stayed silent for a minute, letting the heaviness of his statement sink in. Important. He felt important, wanted, needed. Without saying so, it was evident that working at the motel would never give him that same satisfaction. No amount of desecrated wasp nests or perfectly glued wallpaper could ever compare to the cheers of adoring fans.
“It’s not over, you know. Your chance to have that again.”
Eddie’s eyes locked onto yours, chocolate irises swimming with a juxtaposing combination of hope and defeat. “No one’s exactly lining up to sign me,” he said.
“They will.” You smiled, lips together. “You’re too talented to slip under the radar.”
He returned the smile, reaching out his pinky and interlocking it with yours as a thank you. You gave it a tiny pulse in recognition.
“The other night…” Eddie started. He still looked at you, but the twitch of his nose told you that it was harder to hold than before. “I shouldn’t have said that you’d treat your clients badly.”
“It’s fi—”
“It’s not.” Eddie’s voice was stern, unwavering, but not cold. “And I’m sorry.”
Your pinky remained wrapped around his. “We both said some shitty things that we didn’t mean,” you offered.
“Yeah.” The right side of his mouth turned up, not a full smile, but one filled with compassion nonetheless. “Forgive and forget?”
You cocked your head to give him a knowing look. “One other thing to know about New York women,” you said, “we might forgive, but we never forget.”
Eddie’s half-smile turned into a grin, and he leaned in closer to whisper. “Y’know, for a bookworm, you’re kind of a badass.”
Trying to ignore the now-familiar tingles that accompanied his tobacco-scented breath on your ear, you resumed your previous position of your head on his shoulder, humming in agreement. There was no hiding how pleased you felt from his praise, his newfound ability to see you beyond a singular dimension.
He peered down at you, his lips brushing your scalp. “Still tired?”
“Not really.”
He chuckled, leaning back in his seat and stretching out his legs in front of him. “Okay, then,” he murmured, and from the subtle movement in his jaw, you knew he was still smiling as he said it.
Tumblr media
Consciousness was a drifting cloud, one that passed overhead quickly to make room for thunderous exhaustion. The storm hit the moment you walked into your room as you flung your backpack and your body onto the bed.
Your eyes didn’t flutter closed like a fairy tale princess; they snapped shut like an iron gate, impenetrable to any forces.
Including a clock radio alarm.
12:09
The digital numbers stared at you, harsh and blinding, as though they also couldn’t believe the time. The alarm you’d set for 9 PM was clearly ineffective, seeing as you were over two hours late to work.
“Shit!” Whatever spell had enchanted you instantly broke, and you jolted out of bed with such ferocity that you briefly saw stars.
You smoothed down your T-shirt from where it wrinkled against the starchy comforter. Chalky white deodorant remnants stained the black fabric, right along your ribcage, and you hastily undressed and threw on the nearest clean shirt.
Sleep tainted your tongue and dried saliva decorated the corner of your mouth, your slumber so deep that you’d drooled.
“Son of a bitch,” you grumbled, grabbing your toothbrush from its place at the sink and brushing just long enough to chase away the stale taste.
Was Mom still at the desk? Did Dad have to take over your shift? Had they both assumed you’d show up on time and left the desk unmanned for what they thought would only be a few minutes?
Your blood ran cold. Anyone could have taken a key off of the wall, could have broken into the register and taken what little money you had…
Feet flying, you push open your door and squint to adjust to the harsh hallway lighting.
Before you did anything else, you needed to apologize profusely to whatever parent had the misfortune of still being behind the desk. Offer to do some extra chores, or take on a few hours of their shift.
But that plan is stalled when you run into the lobby and see neither your mom nor your dad. Only Eddie, hunched over a stack of scribble-filled papers.
When he hears your panicked footsteps, he looks up and grins cheekily. “Morning, Sunshine.”
You would have flipped him off if it weren’t for the overwhelming relief that your mistake hadn’t burdened your parents.
“You know,” he continued, tapping his pen against his teeth, “this gig isn’t half bad. I’m almost finished with these lyrics.”
Your eyes blinked rapidly of their own accord. “Why didn’t anyone wake me up?”
Eddie snorted. He put his pen down on the desk and folded his arms across his chest. “Sweet, naive Sleeping Beauty,” he tutted, adopting a playful tone. “I knocked on the door not once, not twice, but thrice to no answer.”
“Thrice?” You raised a brow at his formal word choice.
“Thrice.” He held up three fingers and wiggled them for emphasis. “But I figured you must really need the sleep, so…” He gestured vaguely as if to say, here I am.
One foot in front of the other, right arm still crossed over the left and showing off a litter of inked bats, he sauntered over to you. “I believe this is where you thank me for saving your ass.”
He was teasing, though he did deserve your gratitude, but your mind only focused on the reason why.
“My parents—”
“Adore me,” Eddie cut in with a knowing grin. “Even gave me the whole ‘any friend of our daughter’s is a friend of ours’ spiel.”
There was that word again: friends. It rubbed you raw, salt on an open wound, and it stung even more coming from his mouth.
Eddie remained oblivious to your inner turmoil, still ranting about his successful encounter. “Maybe I should be thanking you, since this scored me some major points.”
It was a lifeline; something onto which you could latch instead of letting your thoughts spin in never-ending circles. “Well, then, you’re welcome.”
He noticed the hesitation, even without the context of its cause. “Look, you got a few extra hours of sleep and nothing happened. The place didn’t burn down, didn’t spontaneously combust, and I only accepted one bad check.”
“You what?!”
Eddie guffawed at your widened eyes. “Kidding. Besides,” he added, “you wouldn’t even know it bounced until you took it to the bank.”
“Go fuck yourself.” But the corners of your mouth turned up in a smile, betraying the annoyance you’d tried to present.
“Will do.” He gave a small salute, two fingers to his forehead, and grabbed his papers off of the desk. “But before I get to that, we need to talk about you not going to your graduation.”
For a moment, you forgot about Nora’s comment earlier that day. It seemed like weeks ago, rather than mere hours. “I can’t.”
Eddie quirked a brow. “Can’t talk about it or can’t go?”
“Both.”
He blew out a breath, equal parts frustration and disappointment. Like he was invested in this, perhaps more so than you were.
It was enough to pull a genuine explanation from you. “I can’t afford the cap and gown,” you said, “and even if I could, the ceremony starts at nine in the morning. That’s when I sleep.”
He nodded, incisors digging into his lower lip while he digested the information. “So…you’re not doing anything to celebrate?”
“Not having to drag my ass to classes anymore is celebration enough.” Until graduate school starts, you thought wryly, the sinking feeling returning to your stomach.
Eddie wasn’t accepting that answer, shaking his head so his curls were a brunette blur across his face. “No. No.” His tone was insistent, teetering on the brink of stern. “You worked hard, and you should do something fun.” He chewed on the inside of his cheek as he considered his options, his brown eyes sparkling as an idea came to him. “Let me take you out for a drink.”
“With what money?”
He scoffed playfully. “I think I can splurge on one drink. No specialty cocktails, though.” He pointed his forefinger in your direction, emphasizing his point. “And house liquor only.”
You wanted to–more than anything, you wanted to. Each weekend, you felt taunted by the sounds of friends traipsing down the street, sharing inside jokes and making memories that would either last a lifetime or be washed away with a few more beers. It was an experience you’d never had, but there was little time for friendship outside of school.
“I can’t,” you said finally, feeling just as dejected as Eddie looked. “My shifts start at ten.”
“So I’ll get you back by ten,” Eddie said with a shrug, no big deal. “And it’s one drink; ‘s not like you’re gonna be wasted.”
You hesitated before responding, your brain already churning out a thousand excuses to bail.
I’ll be too tired.
I don’t want to smell like booze when I’m working.
I have a cult meeting right before my shift.
“I…yeah, okay. I can do that.”
Eddie nearly did a double-take at your acceptance; truthfully, you surprised yourself.
“Oh, uh, yeah. Sure.” He cleared his throat and regained his composure with astonishing speed. “I’ll pick you up at 8 tomorrow?”
You shook your head. “The bars around here always overcharge on weekends. Let’s do Monday.” And maybe by then I’ll conjure up a solid escape plan.
He grinned, jogging back to the desk and grabbing his pen. “Monday…8 PM…Heiress.” You watched as he wrote the words on his palm, going over the spots where the ink flow weakened.
Eddie’s hand found yours, left fingers grasping your wrist to keep you steady, his right fingers busy decorating your skin in black ink. His tongue poked out from between his lips as he focused on writing without applying too much pressure, and you tried not to squirm whenever the pen grazed a ticklish spot.
When he pulled back, your own palm bore a near-identical message to his:
Monday 8 PM Eddie
Like you could forget.

pairing: y/n and chris sturniolo
summary: you and chris came from two different sides of the spectrum when it came to the social scale. You had the perfect life, the perfect boyfriend, the perfect parents, but when you start to peal back that layers things got messy. Your life was set and stone, your future was set and stone. That was until he comes and changes everything.
warnings: MENTIONS OF SU!CIDE. It doesn't go into tramendous details, just someone explaining it happened does not involved any of the triplets. mentions of a toxic relationship.
A few minutes later I'm standing on his porch, knocking on the door. I stood back, waiting. Waiting for either Dan or Chris to reveal themselves, but that moment never came. I stood back up and knocked again, nothing. I sighed and looked around.
I saw a gate that connected to his backyard. I bit my lip. I started to walk down the steps of his balcony and my feet hit the pavement of the road before I stopped and turned back around looking at the gate.
Would it be creepy I if I just walked into his backyard? Yes Y/n, that would be ridiculously creepy. I debate this in my head back and forth as I stared at the gate. If I go back there and see no one, then I'll just assume he's not home. I tapped my foot on the pavement. I sighed. All of the sudden my feet take me to his gate before I'm sliding it open and walking around the house.
I heard muffle talking and light from the backyard. I turn the corner and I see Chris and Nate sitting by a fire that was dimly lit and they were talking. Chris's eyes meet mine and then Nate turns around and looks at me. I felt my face turn red as they looked at me. Yes, this was incredible creepy, I should not have just walked into his backyard with no warning.
I walked up to where they were sitting.
"Y/n?" Chris asked looking at me. I looked down at my feet. "Sorry, I just-" I said quickly as I stopped right in front of the fire. "I knocked--" I said pointing towards the house making Nate look over towards that direction. "No one answered so I-" I mumbled looking at them.
"Just walked into the backyard?" Nate asked narrowing his eyes at me. I swallowed. Chris stood up and walked over to me. I just watched him. "Is everything okay?" He asked quietly looking at me. Nate just looked at us.
I guess I forgot to mention that I might have been crying the whole way here. My cheeks were red and my eyes were still watery. I looked down at Nate who was looking at me as if I were clinically insane. Chris looked down at him.
Nate looked at Chris before standing up off the chair and groaning. He turned and started walking towards the house. "I'm gonna get a soda" He mumbled quietly before opening the back door and disappearing inside. I swallowed as I looked towards the house.
"Y/n, why are you crying?" He asked in front of me. I looked at him and wiped my eyes and shrugged. "I don't know" I mumbled forcing a smile. He just looked at me with a face of concern. I didn't mean to cry. I don't handle my emotions very well. How do I tell him that I'm crying because Max didn't kiss me goodbye?
Maybe that wasn't the reason though. Maybe it was him screaming at me for my outfit, or almost killing me in the car ride home, or maybe it was the fact that he's hanging out with all of my friends and specifically told me not to come.
"Today was a bad day" I whispered looking at him. The corners of his mouth veered up slightly as he stood in front me, making me smile slightly. "Do you want to talk about it?" He whispered back. I shook my head. I looked back towards the house.
"I didn't mean to intrude. I can go I just-" I said shaking my head. Chris shook his head. "Don't worry about Nate, he's probably in my room eating everything in my pantry by now" Chris smiled making me smile. I liked his smile. He had a nice smile. I wanted to tell him that, but I knew I shouldn't. So I stayed staring at him for a second causing him to speak again.
"Do you want to leave?" He asked quietly. I blinked up at him. No. I shrugged. He turned his head slightly smiling down at me. "I don't want to ruin your night" I whispered honestly. It was true, I didn't. I didn't want him to worry about me, but I needed him in a way I couldn't explain. He smiled and shook his head as if that was a stupid thing to say. "Would it be sad to say that I was waiting for you to show up?" He said quietly. I bit back a smiled and looked down. Okay, that was kind of cute.
"I want you to stay" He whispered. I looked up at him. "I want to stay too" I admitted back. He smiled and grabbed my arm, pulling me towards the chair. "Sit" He motioned to the chair. I sat down as I watched him sit in the chair across from me. I looked into the fire and pulled my knees up to my chest and took a deep breath.
"Are you sure you don't want to talk about it? Did something else happen with Max?" He asked looking at me. I just looked at the fire. I shrugged. He didn't say anything for a second as we listened to the cracking of the fire in front of us. I didn't really want to talk about Max with him. It didn't feel right.
"Did you break up?" He asked quietly. I looked over at him. The fire lit up his face in a dangerous way. In a way where the way he was looking at me made me want to wipe the tears from my face and walked over and straddle him then and there.
I shook my head at my thoughts. Why do I think like this only when I'm around him? I wish I could keep thoughts from popping into my head but it's hard when I'm in his presence. It just does something to me.
"No" I stated. He looked back at the fire and nodded. I breathed out. "I think he's mad at me" I said, then realized how stupid that sounded. 'I think my boyfriend is mad at me so I started crying and came here'. I wanted to roll my eyes at myself. "Why?" Chris asked after a second.
"I don't know, I thought it was for the clothes thing, but even after I changed he was cold." I said shaking my head. "All of my friends are over at Cayden's right now" I said looking at him. "Why aren't you there?" Chris asked leaning forwards on his arms. I looked back towards the fire.
"He told me he didn't want me to come and told everyone that I had some family thing that I couldn't get out of" I sighed. Chris fell silent for a second. I realized how stupid and self absorbed this sounded as it came out of my mouth. I shook my head. "Sorry it's stupid" I said looking at him. He furrowed his eyebrows and shook his head.
"It's not stupid, it's shitty" He said looking at me. I smiled slightly. I let my knees go and put my feet on the ground and leaned back in my chair. "The puck thing-" I started, he looked up at me with a smile. "It was kinda good" I laughed lightly. He smiled and looked down. He shook his head.
"That's what he gets for leaving his keys unattended in the boy's locker room" Chris said smiling. I smiled. I shook my head looking up at him. "Can we stop talking about Max now please?" I smiled looking at me. He raised his eyebrows leaning back. "You don't have to tell me twice" He breathed making me blush. He looked up at me and pursed my lips.
It was these moments that I wish I knew what he was thinking. But I never could.
"Can I ask you something?" I asked quietly looking up at him. He nodded slightly. I leaned forward on my arms and looked at him. He looked at me, studying me. "Why are you so closed off?" I asked looking at him. His eyes darted towards the fire. Silence filled the air.
"I feel like I've told you more than I've told anyone in my life" I sighed, being fully honest. Max doesn't know about my parents, how I feel, how I think, the stars, the stupid car, any of it. Neither did Sydney or Cayden. Only Chris.
"And I feel like I don't even really know you" I breathed looking at him. He glanced up at me when I said that. "I want to know you, Chris" I whispered. I do want to know him, more than I've wanted to know anything or anyone in my entire life.
His eyes shifted from me again and he took his lip ring into his mouth. I just watched him. I watched as he contemplated something in his mind that I couldn't read. I just stared at him until his eyes met mine again.
He suddenly stood up off his chair and walked over to me. I leaned back in my chair as he approached me. I just blinked up at him as he looked down at me. He held his hand out for mine. "Get up" He said. I just looked at his hand and then to his eyes. Was he kicking me out? Did I offend him that much? My heart sunk into my chest as I looked up at him.
"What?" I choked. A smile drew on his face as he shook his hand. "Get up, come on" He laughed lightly. Okay, maybe he wasn't kicking me out. I placed my hand in his as he pulled me off of my chair. I looked at him as he didn't move away right away. We were just standing very close, just looking at each other.
"I want to show you something" He whispered. I just looked up at him, pathetically probably as I whispered a quiet "Okay". He smiled as he lead me into the woods behind his house where there was no light.
His hand was still grasping mine. I looked around into the dark tree line. Okay this was terrifying. I looked around and the only sounds were the sounds of leaves crushing beneath our feet as we walked.I heard a sound behind us and I grabbed Chris's arm with my other hand and pulled him close to me as we walked. He laughed lightly.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked him not letting go of his arm. "You'll see we're almost there" He whispered back. My first thought would be, he is taking me in the woods to kill me, but that thought didn't cross my mind. With all of the evil things that probably live in this forest, he isn't one of them. I didn't know why I knew that, I just did. I just clung tightly to him as we walked.
A few minutes later there was a clearing, and a slightly noise of rushing water of a stream. I lifted my head and saw a small patch of grass that overlooked the river with a tire swing that hung from a tree beside the grass and a few blankets. I dropped his hand and his arm as I looked over the clearing. It was dark, the only light being the moon in the sky, but I could still see everything. It was beautiful.
"Chris what is this place?" I asked as I turned back to him. He smiled and put his hands in his pockets. "This is my place" He said looking at me. "It's where I come to think sometimes, or where I went as a kid when I wanted no one to find me" He explained as I walked over to the tire swing and ran my finger down the rope that was attached to it. I turned and looked at him, smiling.
"It's perfect" I whispered. He chuckled lightly before I heard him move. I looked over and saw him grab a blanket and lay it out on the patch of grass. He sat down and looked at me. I just stared down at him. He patted the seat next to him. I smiled and rolled my eyes before walking over and sitting next to him.
"How many girls have you taken out here? Be honest" I smiled looking up at him, but his face fell straight. "None" He said blankly. My eyebrows furrowed as I looked at him. He looked down at me. "I feel like this would be your number one hook up spot" I laughed lightly. He shook his head and looked back towards the stream.
"I don't hook up with people" He stated. Silence fell between us. I looked forward. "Oh" I breathed. I don't know why I assumed he did. He's an attractive, sarcastic, badass guy with tattoos. I bet girls swoon over him. Why wouldn't he take girls here? They would eat this up. I know this because I am a girl and I am in fact, eating this up.
"My Grandpa build that swing when I was nine" He said pointing over to the tire swing. I looked over at the swing and then back at him. "I would come out here for hours when I was a kid" He explained. I just watched him as he spoke. "My mom would have to come out here and drag me away when it started to get dark and I would cry because I didn't want to leave" He laughed lightly, making me smile.
It made me happy to think of Chris as a little kid. For some reason I imagined him as a playful little boy who was full of energy and adventure. A kid who was always happy and bouncing around. Sometimes I feel like I could still see that kid somewhere inside him every time he smiled. I just smiled at him as he continued.
"My dad would sneak back here with me and let me stay out a little later, since he went with me" He said as he looked away from me. I looked down at my lap as he spoke.
"Why don't you have a good relationship with your parents anymore?" I whispered looking up. He pursed his lips and looked at me. I just looked at him, waiting for him to answer, not knowing if he actually would. He let out a breath.
"You asked me why I moved here once" He said turning from me. I did. I remember because he stormed off and got so angry at me for asking me the question. I didn't push him again after that. Now I'm thankful for that because he's breaking open, finally. I nodded.
"There was this girl back in Masscucets" He breathed. I felt a twitch in my chest. It almost felt like jealousy. It was wrong, I wish I didn't feel it, but I did and I tried to swallow it as I listened to him speak. My eyes stayed on him, but he looked forward, like he didn't want to look at me as he spoke.
"She was my girlfriend" He explained. "I loved her more than I've loved anyone in the entire world" He breathed. I swallowed. There was silence again, like he didn't want to continue. I knew there was more to the story the way he stopped. "What happened Chris?" I whispered after a few seconds of silence. I saw his eyes begin to water and he bit his lip. It broke my heart. He swallowed.
"She uh-" He breathed. He took a deep breath. "She killed herself, overdosed on pills in her bathroom" He swallowed. My heart dropped to my feet as I looked at him. My heart broke for him. I couldn't help it but my jaw parted, in shock. I just blinked at him fro a moment not knowing what to say. He glanced over at me and then back to his feet.
"Chris" I breathed looking at him. He turned his head from me so that I couldn't see his face. I hated it, the way he hid from me. I scooted closer to him and wrapped my arm around his and leaned my head on his shoulder, closing my eyes, just feeling his embrace against mine.
He let out a shaky breath and leaned his head against mine. "I'm so sorry" I whispered. He didn't speak next to me. "Do you know why?" I asked him, looking up. He stared forward and pursed his lips. His eyes were no longer teary, as he contained himself.
"There was a note, it was brief. Just saying that's she sorry and that she loved us and that she just couldn't do it anymore" he explained. I looked at him. He looked down at me.
"My parents didn't know what to do. I wouldn't leave my room after the funeral and they said I was depressed" He sighed. "And maybe I was but they didn't know how to help. We got into fights constantly before they just gave up and sent me to live with my Grandpa" He explained. I looked down, not even imagining how hard that probably was for him. To have the one person love be taken away and then being forced off to a new life.
"New state, new town, new high school, new life" He said softly. "and in the middle of the year" He breathed, laughing lightly. I leaned back and looked at him, letting go of his arm. "I can't imagine going through that Chris" I breathed. He looked down not looking at me. "You're so strong for that" I said shaking my head. He looked up at me.
"Yeah that's what everyone keeps saying" He said nodding. I frowned at him and reached up and grabbed his hand making him look at me. "For whatever it's worth, I'm glad you're here" I whispered. He smiled and looked down, nodding.
"It was hard at first--the move" He breathed reaching up and pushing his hair back out of his face. "But then I met Nate and things got a little better. I feel like he knows me better than anyone" He said looking at me, I nodded. "My grandpa and I were rocky at first, we still kind of are, because of all the fights I get into" He said glancing at me.
"Why do you get into fights?" I asked. He pursed his lips as if he were thinking about it. "I guess I'm just mad at the world or something. It makes me feel better" He said looking at me. I frowned at him.
"I feel like whatever I do to that person, they won't ever feel the way that I felt when the world took her away from me, so it's hard to have sympathy for them" He admitted. What he said was cold, but in a way I understood where he was coming from. If something like that ever happened to me, I'd be mad at the world too. Everyone had their way with coping.
"What was her name?" I asked quietly. He looked over at me.
"Rose"
My eyes glanced down to the tattoo of a flower on the back of his arm, a rose. He looked down at his arm too before crossing them over his chest. "It's a pretty name" I whispered smiling. He smiled and looked at me and nodded. He leaned back on his arms.
"I just wanted to tell you this because you said that you've told me things that you've never told anyone before" He said as he looked at me. I just stared back at him. "So there's something that only you and Nate know about" He smiled sadly. I smiled back at him.
He looked around. "And now you know my secret spot too" He motioned around us. "Nate doesn't even know about this spot, so don't tell him" he whispered making me laugh.
"I like your spot" I whispered, making him smile. "Thank you" He whispered. I nodded. I laid back completely against the ground and looked up at the stars. Chris looked down at me as I stared into the sky. "You know" I started. He still looked down at me. "Today I stood up for myself" I said. Chris blinked at me.
"In front of Max" I said looking at him. His expression didn't change as he hovered over me and looked at me. "I finally told him that I hated the way he was treating me, like some girl who's just his display case. Told him I wasn't going to go to his stupid family dinner" I breathed. I shook my head, remembering it all. "How'd that go?" He asked me. I looked over at him.
"He went over 120 on a backroad until I agreed to go" I whispered. His face hardened. "Y/n-" he started. I shook my head, not waning him to say anything. "I've never been scared of Max in my life" I whispered looking up at the sky. "But even after he stopped I felt like I couldn't breathe like I couldn't keep my heart rate down I-" I stopped and bit my lip.
"You were probably having a panic attack Y/n" He said looking down at me. I swallowed and closed my eyes. "The only thing that helped me calm down was when I thought of you" I whispered. My eyes still closed, not wanting to look at him, not believing that I was actually admitting this to him. I blinked them open and saw Chris, his eyes still glued on mine.
"I don't know why but I did" I said looking at him. He licked his lips. "Can I tell you something?" He whispered. I just looked at him, insinuating for him to continue. "You're the first person I've kissed in three years" He admitted looking down at me. I sat up and looked at him, his eyes followed mine.
"A-Are you serious?" I asked looking at him. That meant that I was the first, since her. He smiled and nodded. I smiled and looked at him. I looked down at my hands. "Why do you act so surprised?" He asked looking at me. I looked up and looked him up and down. "Look at you" I said smiling. He looked at himself then back to me with a confused expression.
"What are you saying Y/n?" He smiled narrowing his eyes at me. I rolled my eyes and pushed his shoulder. "You know what I'm saying Chris" I said shaking my head. He smiled and laughed. I rolled my eyes. "Didn't feel like it was" I whispered. I know he heard me because of the way his eyes burned into the side of my head.
"Hey Y/n?" He whispered making me look up at him again. I swallowed and met his eyes. He went silent as he looked at me, like there wasn't a follow up to his question. He just wanted me to look at him. The way he looked at me made my head spin. The way I could still see his blue eyes so prominently even though we were still in the darkness. I could still see the way he was looking at me. If I wasn't already sitting, I would have fallen to the ground.
"Yeah?" I breathed. He blinked at me. My throat ran dry, and I couldn't speak. Not with the way he was looking at me, and not with my way my heart was pounding against my rib cage. I swear if you listened hard enough and blocked out the sounds of the stream, you could hear it beat. He leaned forward slightly, and I did too. I felt his hand lay over top of mine and our faces were getting closer. The sounds of the stream and the crickets chirping being the only sounds between us.
He pressed his forehead against mine. We just looked at each other. Like we both know what he was about to say without him saying it at all. Neither of us made the move to connect our lips that kept brushing over one another's. His lips were right there and briefly touching mine, but weren't connecting. Why weren't they connecting? He wasn't moving forward and neither was I.
He closed his eyes before leaning back and taking his hand off of mine and looking out onto the creek. I let my head fall and I closed my eyes letting out a breath I was holding. Like that interaction had left me breathless and he hadn't even touched me.
I leaned back and looked towards my lap as the silence fell between us, but it's like it had spoken a thousand words. I hated this.
I felt my phone buzz that was beside us and it caused us both to look at my phone that lit up the space between us. I looked down and saw messages start to buzz over and over.

fuck I love you
We both stared down at the phone as I powered it off and looked toward the stream. He looked at me as I stared. "He's drunk" I stated. Chris turned to look in front of us as well, not saying anything. He sighed before standing up. I looked up at him and he looked down at me.
"Nate probably wondering where I am, we should go back" He sighed. I looked down at my feet before standing up and nodding. We both stood there looking at each other for a second. "He probably thinks you kidnapped me or something" He whispered smiling. I laughed and looked down and nodded.
"He probably does" I agreed looking at him. He motioned back towards the forest. I followed him through the woods. This time behind him, not holding his hand or arm. Just behind him so that he could lead the way. How friends walk with each other, and yet I hated every second of it.

would you write something about charles from the bucket list after she passes!
The Bucket List - Two Years Later || CL16
Warnings: mentions of grief Main Story || Death Scene || Two Years Later || Bucket Moments
Tumblr media
“Why are you so sad?”
Charles looked up from his hands, limp and lifeless on his lap. He cast his eyes around to see he was sitting on a bench at the edge of a park, a cold winter breeze biting him through his jacket. He couldn’t remember how he got there, he had just started walking, needing to get out of the house before he truly drove himself crazy. This time of year was always hard, even now, two years later.
Finally, his eyes landed on the little girl who waited patiently for an answer. She swayed side to side like there was music he couldn’t hear and he looked around for her parents, but the park was mostly empty at this time of year.
“Where is your mother?”
She shrugged but didn’t seem worried that she was alone, she was more interested in getting an answer. “Why are you sad?”
Charles swallowed and twisted his wedding ring around his finger, the habitual movement a way to distract himself. “I lost someone very dear to me.”
“Do you want me to help you find them?” She held out her hand and Charles almost smiled at the sweet innocence.
“I’m afraid she’s somewhere we can’t go, she’s in heaven now.”
Her hand fell back to her side as she smiled brightly. “Then she’s not lost, silly. You know where she is.”
“Angel!” Charles turned to the frantic voice coming from the footpath that wound its way through the park. The woman rushed towards the bench and dropped to her knees in front of the little girl as she assessed her for any scrapes or bruises. “Angelique, what have I told you about running off? You scared me to death.”
“Sorry, mama,” she apologised as her face fell. “I didn’t mean to.”
“It’s my fault,” Charles found himself saying, feeling sorry for the little girl as tears began to well in her big brown eyes. “She was checking if I was alright, she’s very kind.”
“She is.” Her mother smiled and pulled her into a hug but Charles could see the worry linger in her eyes. “And are you alright?”
“I’m better now,” he admitted with a weak smile. “I’m Charles.”
“Grace,” she said as she shook his hand, “and this is my Angel.”
“Charles was sad his friend went to heaven. I don’t know why anyone would be sad about that, it’s heaven! But I guess he just really misses her,” Angelique rambled quickly, recapping her mother with the conversation she had missed. Grace sent Charles an apologetic smile, her eyes catching on the ring he spun on his left hand. “Do you think she knows papa?”
The question sent a pang to Grace's heart and she stood up, brushing the leaves from her jeans. “I don’t know, mon ange, I imagine it is a big place.”
“I’m sorry for your loss,” Charles said as he caught the same pain across her face that he felt everyday. Looking at her hands he saw a ring on her finger too and sighed. “I should let you get back to your day.”
“Wait, Charles,” Grace called as she quickly caught up to him on the path. “How long?”
He kicked the stones at his feet and instinctively knew what she was asking. “Two years, you?”
“Three and a half. Everybody tells you it’s going to get easier, don’t they? Just give it time.” She wrinkled her nose at the idea.
“I’m still waiting for that part,” he chuckled humorlessly.
“It doesn’t get easier,” she said softly as she looked at the trees but her eyes were unfocused. “But I have found that a bottle of wine, or talking to someone who looks at you with something other than pity, does help. I can’t remember which it is that actually helps, but we could try both - if you want?”
Charles laughed, a sound that had been foreign to him this week as your anniversary came and went, and he found himself nodding. “I’m not sure about your selling technique but at this point I will give anything a try.”
“Free wine always works with the French,” she joked as pulled out her phone to get his number.
“The Monegasque,” he corrected, making Angelique giggle.
Turning her phone around she showed him the contact to make sure it was right before calling him: Charles Le Monegasque.
“It’s actually Leclerc.”

Should I be eating and resting? Yes. Am I? No, so come join me for a dissertation on Tommy Kinard being lonely.
Tumblr media
Edit to add a note since I saw a reblog about it: Tommy has no canonical age right now and Lou is 39, 40 later this year, so that is my basis for saying he’s 39.
Now when I say lonely, I don’t mean that he has no one whatsoever. I can picture him going for drinks with his team or having some Muay Thai buddies that he could call up if he really was inclined. Maybe an old army buddy or two.
But there’s something about Tommy that’s just achingly lonely, both when he was at the 118 and now at Harbor.
Tommy had a broken home, or some other kind of unstable childhood. Maybe his parents split, maybe he was mistreated, maybe he was in the system or was passed around family members. Maybe he was isolated as a child because he was a little overweight (I think Lou said something along those lines) and was bullied. I think Tommy didn’t really have any friends until high school, when puberty hit and maybe he started working out and probably joined the football team. I don’t know if anyone remembers what teenage boys are like, but I can imagine they were the same as they are today back in the 90s/early 00’s. Because around this time, Tommy might’ve started to realize that something was very different about him.
Now this isn’t a meta about how I think Tommy dealt with his sexuality (maybe I’ll do one of those later) but I think he never would’ve risked his football friends knowing even if he himself could acknowledge it, which I doubt. So he messed around, got in trouble with these guys, hung out with the bros, and pretended to be interested in girl talk.
Of course, eventually, his buddies all got girlfriends and he was always the odd one out again.
He didn’t do college. The army was his next step. And I feel like this might have been the first time in his life he wasn’t lonely. He’d learned to blend in by this point and he worked with some great people. But as he started making real friends for the first time, he also started losing them as the war tore them away.
Tommy left the army and joined the fire department. There was an aching hole where the camaraderie of the army had filled previously and with no education beyond a high school diploma, Tommy thought the fire department would replicate that. Not the police though. He’d had enough of guns.
(And ohhhh now so many ideas on his thoughts during the sniper)
But he ended up at the 118 and quickly realized that his team had maybe more of a DADT stance than the army. He realized that he had to put on an elaborate act to fool his fellow firefighters, who had more time on their hands and more prejudice they were willing to wield to pick apart his life. Tommy, who maybe had only just started to acknowledge he felt differently about guys with less panic than before, had no choice but to backslide. He acted and acted and crafted a person he wasn’t until the day that maybe he was. Sal was his closest buddy at the 118 and Tommy had no doubt that Sal would be one of the first to make his life hell. Gerrard seemed to look at Tommy as some sort of mentee. Boxed in by two notorious bigots, Tommy had never felt more claustrophobically alone.
Chim was the first one to reach out a hand of friendship, or at least the first one that didn’t come with caution tape, but he was also an “other” and Tommy, who was confused and afraid and had just had his captain call his bluff on his fake girlfriend, lashed out. Then he allowed Chim in and Chim wasn’t interested in being besties but he was a great drinking buddy and movie buddy and Tommy felt safest around him.
Then Hen came and Tommy watched her get the same treatment he was afraid of. Not that he had to worry about the racism, and he was aware of the privilege, but Hen didn’t exactly hide herself and he watched them bully his lesbian coworker. He let himself get pulled into it all and hated himself for it, but was too cowardly to break away from it. He wasn’t sure why Hen had forgiven him, but she became the only other person on shift he felt even a little safe around other than Howie. But then Chimney and Hen became best friends and Tommy fell to the wayside. They still included him, sure, but they were always a pair and there was something there that Tommy didn’t know but longed for. A closeness he’d never felt.
A best friend. A juvenile idea to him, but one he’d never truly had.
Then Gerrard was gone and Sal got transferred and the 118 moved forward under Captain Nash, but Tommy felt left behind, even in what was the most united A shift team yet. Because he was over 30 and was starting to be unable to ignore everything that he’d had to hide under Gerrard, as he no longer had a distraction from it.
He’d been a pilot in the army, so he transferred to Harbor. And Harbor was great. He wasn’t best buds with anyone (he was starting to think that was never in the cards for him) but his team didn’t carry the same baggage that the 118 had.
So Tommy started to come to terms with himself. He started to date for the first time and came out to his team. And he had several boyfriends, but most couldn’t handle the job or his baggage or the desperate need he had to be wanted. His most long term partner cheated and the one he fell hardest for couldn’t deal when Tommy was injured on the job. Even within his own relationships, he felt like he was destined to stand alone.
Tommy was 39 years old and alone, as always, when Chimney walked back into his life, dragging an adorable and also extremely hot blonde and a stoic brunette that radiated ex military in a way only ex military could know. And then Hen was there and they were trying to rescue their captain and his wife and they clearly loved each other fiercely and like family.
And as Tommy listened, flying through the remnants of a cat 5 hurricane, he thought to himself that he should’ve never left. Simply just never found himself if only that meant being part of the family the 118 was now. However, he knew deep down that he still would’ve been alone and on the outside.
And they rescued the survivors and Tommy thought that was it but then Eddie wanted to hang out. And they liked the same things and had similar experiences and Tommy couldn’t help the hope. Because the loneliness had grown stifling and now he could breathe a little. And then Evan, the cute blonde, wanted a tour of the hanger and he thought that maybe he was being hit on.
And then at the end of it all, Tommy was left realizing that he’d wedged himself between two best friends and that was what happened when he allowed himself to hope. So he went to Evan to apologize. He would get Evan and Eddie to talk to each other and then would fade into the background.
But then Evan was sweet and apologetic and told him that he was part of the 118 family simply by helping them. Tommy couldn’t help it. Here he was, at 39, with a little boy still waiting inside of him to be soothed. And Evan was hot and sweet and Tommy couldn’t help himself.
And he really liked Evan. Evan was adorable. But their first date didn’t go as planned and Tommy knew he was already whipped. So he removed himself before someone could get hurt. Evan deserved better and so did he, even if the loneliness was stifling again.
But then Evan texted him and looked at him with sparkling blue eyes over too sweet coffee and wanted him. Him. He wanted Tommy and to have something with Tommy and he wanted him to come to his sister’s wedding with him.
And Tommy looked at him and saw someone who could finally fill the ache he’d felt his whole life. He saw a man who he knew he wanted to take a chance with. All he had to do was jump.
And he did.
And it wasn’t solved, not immediately and never fully. Too many wounds were left gaping for too long to ever heal. But for the first time in his life, at 39, with the 118 surrounding him and Buck as the sunshine at his side, Tommy finally felt at peace.

WE DON’T HAVE TO TALK ABOUT IT. — king george iii
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
— “I CAN WALK YOU HOME AND PRACTICE METHOD ACTING.”
pairing; king george iii x fem!queen!reader
summary; you and the king weren’t inlove. it was as simple as it sounds, but that didn’t make it hurt any less.
genre; angst, crying, reader deserves better, mentions of sex but no smut, based on “cool about it” by boygenius
author’s note: this song makes me cry so of course i had to write an angst fic to cope 😭
Tumblr media
When you and King George III got married, you knew the marriage was destined to fail.
It was a sensitive topic—you and the King’s marriage. You were still young; he was still young. You wanted to live your life and he wanted to live his. But both of your parents had other plans.
The two of you didn’t even know each other before the label was sealed and you two were pronounced husband and wife. During the first few months in the castle, you and George have grew not only distant, but greatly depressed.
It started off small, with you missing your castle, your bed, and your siblings. You were feeling homesick, and your own husband could not be there to comfort you. He had problems of his own.
He was quiet and calculating. The King rarely showed emotion, much less sleep in the same bed as you unless it was for the conceiving of the next heir.
The only time George had shown any care towards you was the birth of your first son, Prince William. You were in labor, and pain struck through your entire body. With shaking hands, your husband placed your hand in his, letting you squeeze it tightly for support.
When the cry of the new heir rang through the hospital walls, George cried. The King of Great Britain and Ireland had cried. He cradled the baby close to his chest, admiring his nose, small hands, and eyes.
For the first time, you and George had felt a connection. It wasn’t love, but rather, a mutual understanding that it was both your duties to serve this country, and by that, it meant that you had to keep your composures for your son.
“Oh Will,” you say as you hold your baby close to your chest one night. “My beautiful prince.”
George walks in a bit later when William is sound asleep. His eyes look tired, however, there’s a soft glow in them that seems to be reserved only for William. When you gently place your son down on his crib, George leans in to give the baby a kiss on the forehead, smoothing out his tiny tufts of hair.
Though the two of you don’t talk, George looks at you with a certain look on his face, one that you both silently understand. All of this is for William, the future King of Britain.
So when William had gone sick in the middle of a very cold January, the two of you were losing your minds. The boy was now four, very intelligent and well spoken for his age. He had gotten a terrible fever and was on his bed for the entire month.
Maids and servants would come in, changing the young prince’s sheets to keep him cool, put cold towels on his forehead, and feed him soup to make sure he got all his nutrients. He still wasn’t getting better.
“Will?” You say, opening up the door to his bedroom quietly. It made a small creak, alerting the now awake Prince.
“Yes mum?” His voice was hoarse, and it broke your heart.
“I came in with water, please drink it my darling,” you give your son the warm glass, helping him sit up to drink it.
You run your hands through his hair, rubbing his back softly. You prayed to God everyday that your boy would recover soon.
“Mum.” He says, looking up to meet your eyes. He had your eyes, but his face resembled that of his father, your husband, the King.
“Yes darling?”
“How come you and father never show love towards one another?”
The question caught you off guard, your eyes forming into a sense of panic. But you quickly cover it up, not wanting to worry your son.
“What do you mean Will?” You ask, running your fingers through his hair gently.
“I mean, sometimes when I look out the window, I see visitors outside Buckingham with their parents. They look so happy Mum, their parents look so happy with one another. But I never see you and Father smile at each other, or sit in the same table for dinner. Why Mum?”
You didn’t know how to explain to your son that his parents didn’t love each other and that the whole marriage and his own birth was simply for the next generation of royals.
“Your father and I are simply busy,” you say, making sure to be careful with your words, “he’s the king, he has a lot on his plate my dearest. But we both love you very much.”
“But you don’t love each other.” William whispers underneath his breath. You don’t catch it, which he is silently thankful for.
“Well, Mum has to go,” you say, standing up to adjust your gown. “Feel better my darling.”
You place a kiss on his forehead, and he closes his eyes, ready for another nap.
That night, you sit in the middle of your large bed, tears filling your eyes. The doctor had told you that you were with child, about 3 to 4 weeks. You of course didn’t tell anyone, not even George. Your emotions were all over the place, from your firstborn being extremely sick to this news of you being pregnant.
Your head looks up at the tall ceiling, which was covered in gold and decorated beautifully. Even though you were inside a glorious palace with servants left and right, you have never felt more alone.
A sob leaves your mouth as your breathing gets heavier. You knew it was stupid of you. A queen must always stay composed, but the news of you having another child absolutely wrecked your soul. Of course you loved your child, but it was going to grow up in a loveless home being only being known as the spare, important only if your firstborn were to pass away.
“YN?” A knock comes at your door, the voice of George coming from the other side.
George? You think. Why was he here?
You quickly wipe away your tears, walking up to open the large doors. George’s eyes meet your bloodshot ones, and for a moment, they softened.
“What is wrong my queen?”
That was the only thing it took for you to lose it completely, falling into his arms with sobs wrecking every part of your body.
“Hey hey hey,” George coaxes as he carries the two of you onto your bed, placing you down gently.
You crawl into his arms, wrapping yourself in his embrace. He doesn’t stop you or tense up, instead, letting you place your face into his neck.
“We don’t have to talk about it,” George says softly as he pats your back. Your breathing was uneven, and you were sure you were staining his clothes with your tears.
You guess this was a good way to practice method acting. Pretending that George cared deeply about you, pretending that the two of you were inlove, and pretending that you were one happy family.
Maybe then, William and your new child would grow up happy, fooled by the thought that their parents were happy with one another.
Maybe, it would possibly fool you too.

the parent-teacher conference
Tumblr media
summary: there’s a new parent in town!
tw: implications of death ig?
Gojo Satoru is positively beaming. He has had a few unforgettable moments in his life; his first day in Jujutsu Tech, his awakening, the first time he got drunk, that one threesome with you and Ge- he’s getting distracted. Point is, this just might take the cake for the most unforgettable.
He had gotten a call from Nanami this morning asking him to meet up. It was already suspicious that he called him, but Satoru was feeling pretty generous. After all, it’s not always that Satoru could get to hear his kouhai ask for a favor.
Now, Satoru is sitting on a chair in a McDonalds beside you, and sitting on the chair in-front of the both of you is a very, very ashamed and embarrassed Nanami Kento. Fuck, Satoru’s smug. His cheeks have hurt from smiling so widely in the past hour and he’s fairly sure that you’re struggling to hide that smirk away from your face.
Amidst the noise of chattering people, a voice stood out from the rest. A small boy with pink hair and chubby cheeks came running towards your table. His yellow sweater and jean shorts were bright and clean, obviously brand new but hastily bought. “Nanamin-!” he cried as he reaches your table. He looks at Nanami with wide eyes. “Aaah.” He opens his mouth expectantly.
Without missing a beat, Satoru’s kouhai immediately scoops up a small serving of his Oreo McFlurry and feeds the boy who smiles in thanks after chewing the ice cream. He does not hesitate to turn and run back to the play place.
Satoru couldn’t help but sigh in defeat. “Oi, Megumi,” he calls to the child who was also at the play place with his sister. “Why couldn’t you be cute like him?” He whines. He doesn’t need to turn his head to know that Megumi heard him, and how he’s glaring at him right now. Call it a father’s instinct. But, speaking of fathers-
You see, Nanami has been in this exact same position three years prior except he was on the other side of the table. When Satoru confessed that he had not-so-accidentally acquired two children with enough emotional baggage for four adult sorcerers, Nanami went berserk. Satoru remembers that scolding, how Nanami called him irresponsible, how you and Satoru weren’t ready for them, how he was in no position to adopt two children despite him having more than enough resources to sustain Megumi and Tsumiki- only to find out Nanami is good little junior who followed his exact footsteps and basically adopted the first orphan he saw. Satoru wonders how many hours it spent before Nanami threw away his pride and asked him for parenting advice. Karma is real!
“So. Itadori Yuuji, huh,” he starts, unable to keep the glee out of his voice. Satoru watches as Nanami hunches his shoulders just a tiny bit in shame, but glares back at him. Nanami opens his mouth to retort, but before his voice came out little Yuuji came running back with his mouth open for another bite of Oreo McFlurry. Nanami delivers his request and Yuuji goes back to his own business.
“He’s clingy,” you observed. That was the fifth time in ten minutes did the pink haired child go back for ice cream. You suspect its not the ice cream itself, but Nanami’s presence. “He must be anxious if he doesn’t see you for too long.”
And who could blame him? Yuuji’s sole caretaker before Nanami was his grandfather, but after he was eaten up by a curse…
“I’m worried about that,” Nanami admits. “He gets upset when I have to leave work. He has to stay home alone and I get off work late…sometimes not at all.”
“Eh,” Satoru waves off his worries with a hand. “It’ll be like that from the start. You just have to assure them that you won’t leave.”
Satoru remembers this. How Tsumiki tries her best to hide her anxiety when he leaves for a work trip and how Megumi lets Satoru hug him briefly when he comes home. Sometimes both children are surprised he comes back at all despite his constant reassurance.
He quickly learns that these children do not trust the words of adults. Words are easily said, promises easily broken.
“Mhmm.” You nod. “We try to always have one of us be present at night. No simultaneous missions for both of us unless necessary.”
Yeesh, Satoru remembers the circumstances that led to that decision. When the both of you were finally able to come home after separate missions on both ends of Japan, Megumi and Tsumiki had thought you had left them.
“Maybe Yuuji can stay with us just until you get back,” you suggest. “If all three of us are gone, I know I can at least trust Tsumiki with him.”
Nanami nods appreciatively. “Thank you, Y/N-san. I know this must be a bother…”
Satoru shakes his head. “Nah. Besides Megumi needs friends his own age.”
He is worried about his little boy. Megumi isn’t exactly the social butterfly like Tsumiki is. Satoru knows that Tsumiki can create an underground cult and rule the school if she really wanted to, but Megumi would rather die than to talk to someone he deems undeserving.
The boy doesn’t even eat with anyone during lunch, or play with anyone during their free time. Megumi would just summon his dogs and let them roam around the school field, and it’s not like anyone would see.
After Megumi explained this to Satoru, he finally understood the multiple concerning calls he got from Megumi’s teachers. They report him petting the air mindlessly like there were invisible dogs, which…there were.
“But what about school?” You ask, prodding the man a bit. He has hardly shared any of his plans.
“There’s a school nearby my apartment. I’ve already enrolled Yuuji there for the next school year.”
Ah, Nanami, Satoru coos in his mind. So meticulous and well-planned!
“He’s ten by now,” you muse, swirling your straw in coke. “Curses and techniques manifest by four. Do you think he sees-?”
“No,” came Nanami’s harsh reply. He says it with such conviction, like he was willing it to be true. It’s the loudest he had been since he asked both of you to meet him at a McDonalds and begged for parenting advice. “He will never be part of that life.”
To others, Nanami must’ve sounded angry. But to you and Satoru, he just sounded protective. Satoru understands. He would give anything to take Megumi out of the sorcery world.
“I’m jealous,” you admit in a whisper. “I’m scared for Megumi and Tsumiki sometimes.”
“Tsumiki is a non sorcerer,” Nanami points out. “She is innocent.”
You sigh. “I gave her some glasses with my cursed energy to see them just in case.”
Satoru remembers this. You both had found Tsumiki beating herself up about how she’s always left behind. She was the only one who couldn't see Megumi’s dogs. The only one who doesn’t understand why you or Satoru would sometimes flick your hand at a random tree. The only one couldn’t see. You relented quickly, giving her twin glasses that match Satoru’s- Like the ones Maki-chan has!- only to be used inside the house.
Using the glasses outside the house is a strict no-no. Satoru didn’t want her seeing the ugly curses that lurk around the streets. Not that she would see them anyway, considering he had exorcised every curse found within a 300 meter radius around the house and their school. But, still, you never know.
Your words bring a deep frown on Nanami’s face, immediately indicating that he did not agree with your actions. You could feel the disappointment radiating off of the man that Satoru wonders if he regrets asking you for advice.
“I still don’t want her to see curses, but I don’t want her to feel left out.” you reason. “That’s just children, Nanami-kun. They make you bend your morals if it's for the sake of them.”
“Mm,” Nanami hums, leaning back on his chair. His gaze turns to the play place and Satoru follows. The children were building towers out of wooden blocks. They had established an effective system; Yuuji hands Megumi the blocks, Tsumiki directs Megumi where to put it, and Megumi obeys.
They look so peaceful. They look like children.
Nanami stares at Yuuji, who immediately notices his gaze. The child perks up as he catches him, before standing up and breaking into a sprint with his arms open.
Nanami catches the child no problem, but the chair squeaks in protest. Satoru watches as Yuuji hugs him the best he could, with Nanami’s huge palm over the back of Yuuji’s head.
“Ah,” the blonde says, his eyes soft and drunk with love. “There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for this one.”
Satoru gazes back to his own children, finishing the tower of blocks everyone has started. Satoru breaks into a genuine smile. Welcome to parenthood, Nanami.

There is something so mundane yet so serene about suburban life. That idyllic air that carried small bits of freshly mown grass and children’s laughter. That wasn’t to say that my life was uneventful, however.
After all, it would be nearly impossible to have a boring life while married to Spencer Reid.
But it was rare for me to feel any level of discomfort as I patrolled familiar halls. Mild annoyance, maybe, but never before had I felt such a sense of foreboding.
Not until that fateful day where I arrived home from errands to find that the clean laundry has already been pulled from the dryer. That in itself wasn’t bad—I was more than happy to let someone else do the folding—yet when I walked up the stairs, the hairs on the back of my neck stood at attention.
“Spencer?” I called.
“In here,” he answered without his normal enthusiasm.
Now that was unnerving.
The situation only got worse when I did finally open the door to find him awkwardly pacing around the room. My attention followed him back and forth a couple times before he came to a sudden stop.
“Hi honey,” I offered as gently as I could, “What’s up?”
“Hi,” he replied, still dejected and distant. He didn’t come any closer to me before he began fiddling with his fingers.
After a tense moment of silence, I asked again, more directly, “Are you alright, Spencer?”
“I have something very difficult to discuss with you, and I-I just want to ask for you to be patient with me.”
My heart sunk at the realization that the sense of foreboding was coming from him. The muscles straight up stopped beating, turned to rocks, and tumbled into my stomach.
I shook my head to try to stave off the stupor associated with shock.
“What are you talking about?” I asked because I needed to know just how much my simple suburban life was about to change.
Was he cheating on me? Was he going back to prison? Were their federal agents standing outside, ready to tear our family from our home?
When he finally began to speak, however, it was far from a satisfying explanation.
“I know I’m not always the best husband, and I know I can be absent and that the stress of the job and the kids and the state of the entire world, really, can get in the way of our time together,” he said with an increasing tempo.
“Spencer,” I said as a beg and a warning, “Just say it.”
He held his hands up in surrender as he pleaded back, “Please, just…”
I could feel my pulse in every extremity. My skin burned with blood and my lungs cried out for oxygen.
“I know you, I do,” he assured me before he continued, “and I know this sounds so unbelievably horrible for me to even accuse you of something like this, but…”
Me?
In that terrifying silence, I ran through our lifetime of memories to try to find something I might have done wrong. But no matter how hard I searched, I found nothing that might make him want to leave me like this.
Unless…
And then he said it.
“Are you… cheating on me?”
So quickly, my fear shifted to white-hot rage that came out of my mouth so ungracefully that I nearly knocked the lamp off the bedside table in my confusion.
“What?! No!” I shrieked, “Oh my god, what made you think that?!”
At first, Spencer relaxed. The veracity of my answer had been convincing because it had been true. But Spencer, clearly still concerned that I was somehow an award-worthy actress, continued to wring his hands together throughout his poorly planned confrontation.
“I, um… I found… lingerie. In the laundry,” he said with a tilted timbre. “And I know I’ve never seen it on you before, and I also know it wasn’t new.”
The busy blood in my veins immediately knew to cower. Before it had even struck me how utterly fucked I was, I was practically trembling with concern.
Spencer saw the fear, and instead of realizing it was about what he had no way of knowing, he interpreted it as a different kind of admission.
“So, whose is it?” he asked.
Stepping towards the bed, I motioned for him to take a seat. When he didn’t? I urged him, “Honey, sit down.”
“… Oh,” he muttered before practically collapsing on the bed.
Slightly annoyed by the dramatics, I rolled my eyes and sighed before I explained, “No, not that.”
He didn’t believe me, so I sighed again.
“Spencer, I am not cheating on you.”
That time, he sighed. I let him enjoy the brief reprieve before I threw him headlong into the worst kind of turmoil.
“What you found… isn’t mine,” I stated very clearly.
“But—?”
“It belongs to our daughter.”
The room fell silent. I watched as the realization dawned on him. Slowly, his glazed over eyes began to reflect the harrowing reality.
Then, all at once, his entire world came to a devastating end. Jumping up from his seat on the bed, Spencer grabbed his head and yelled in utter disbelief.
“What?!”
“Spencer, calm down,” I tried.
It didn’t work.
“What do you—she’s only 16! What do you mean it’s her—?!”
I watched from the sidelines as his brain short circuited. He tried to pace, but ended up just trapped in the same spot with flailing arms and wild hair.
Eventually, he settled on the question that had made me so nervous in the first place.
“Where did she even get it from?!”
“I bought it for her,” I said.
The fight left his body immediately. Spencer fell back on the bed and buried his face in his hands with a dramatic groan.
I sighed, again.
I was fully prepared to let him wallow in the grief of his daughter’s childhood, too. But then he had to go and say something silly again.
“Oh my god, I wish you had been cheating on me,” he strained, “That would have been so much easier than this.”
“Spencer!”
“I’m sorry!” he conceded immediately, “I didn’t mean it. I love you, I’m glad you aren’t cheating on me.”
Despite his well-intentioned apology, he remained inconsolable. I thought about giving him a moment to spiral, but I also knew that this was a bandaid that had practically fused into his skin.
At a certain point, it just became necessary for us to discuss it—with or without the dramatics.
“I know this is upsetting for you, but our daughter is almost a grown woman,” I explained to my pitiful husband who continued to make sounds of general protest. “I don’t want her to think of her body as anything less than something worth feeling good about.”
Finally popping up from behind his hands, he returned a bitter laugh.
“Okay, but is she doing it to make herself feel good, or to please some piece of shit asshole quarterback?” he spat.
He didn’t appreciate the way it made me laugh, but I couldn’t help it. It was a ridiculous notion and he deserved to be mocked for it.
“Spencer, your daughter would not be interested in a quarterback.”
He knew I was right, but in typical Spencer fashion, he refused to admit it.
Instead, he just huffed, “How would I know?!”
But I knew he would, eventually, respond to reason, so I didn’t relent no matter how much he begged me to.
“Sex shouldn’t be a scary thing for a teenage girl! I wanted her to know she can feel comfortable telling me things. Like if she needs condoms or the pill or, heaven forbid—!”
“Oh my god, please stop,” he groaned, “Just, give me a second, please!”
I allowed him the moment because I knew he needed it.
Sure enough, after a couple seconds of reflection and a few deep breaths, Spencer returned to his normal eccentricity. He even managed to chuckle to himself a little bit, although I’m sure he’d still felt his dramatics were justified.
He didn’t protest when I took a seat beside him on the bed. In fact, he was quick to lean on me.
I wrapped my arms around him and tried to stifle my laughter at how downtrodden he’d become. My hand smoothed over his hand and I tried to offer him reassurance that everything would be alright if our daughter grew up.
“Oh, honey, nothing has changed. She’s still our baby girl,” I reminded him.
“I know,” he sighed. Then, through laughter he muttered, “It was just a lot for me to go from thinking you secretly hated me to our daughter wearing lingerie, alright? It’s a lot.”
He buried his face against my shoulder and took another deep breath before he held me back. The simple gesture reminded me just how much he’d probably been through in past hour. Of course, it had all been self-inflicted and based on comical perceptions. But it was a lot, and I always loved the chance to comfort him.
We sat like that for a while. We sat with the knowledge that we’d made it this far. There was something special about this fear, because it meant that we had done at least a few things right.
That didn’t really help assuage any of the fears for the future, however.
“Is she having sex?” he asked.
I wished I had a better answer.
“I don’t know,” I admitted with an exhausted groan, “My plan didn’t work. She won’t tell me anything.”
“What do we do?”
It was a question I’d spent hours pondering only to end on the same-old, unsatisfying answer.
“I guess we just… wait until she’s ready to tell us about her boyfriend.”
Silently, Spencer lifted his head and turned to me. The foreboding returned with a vengeance, but this time, I was prepared for the question to follow.
“… her what?”
Tumblr media
I’d always heard people say that domestic suburban life could be hell on earth. I’d always shrugged it off, convinced that I had figured out the impossible and remained happily in love with my wife and the proud father of a very well-adjusted daughter.
But as I stood in my bedroom, bereft of even the basic will to live while my beautiful, loving wife fixed my tie, I realized that they had been right.
Fatherhood was hell, and my wife was the devil’s favorite accomplice.
On any other occasion, her preening would have me melting between deft fingers. In that moment, however, I felt nothing but disdain at her attention to detail.
Because she was not doing it for my benefit. She was doing it so that my disheveled appearance wouldn’t upset another man. A cruel man who sought to steal away the brightest light of my life.
That night I had to meet my daughter’s very first boyfriend.
“Are you ready?” my wife asked.
“No, you took away my gun,” I replied with the utmost sincerity.
Clever eyes darted up to mine before she laughed. The sound brought me little comfort. I tried to be upset at how she took joy in my suffering, but my lips turned to a pout before a frown.
“Yes, you’re very scary, dear,” she hummed.
Then, without warning, she pressed her lips to mine. Perfectly painted lips felt different but still tasted sweet.
Those damned fingers smoothed over my shoulders until stern muscles relaxed once more.
Eventually they crept up and cupped my jaw. Gently—at first.
So quickly they turned brutal, pressing hard enough on my cheeks to force another pout from tired lips.
“He’s a sweet boy and you’re going to be nice to him, alright?” she warned.
If she hadn’t been squeezing me so tightly, she would’ve seen me smile.
“We’ll see about that,” I deadpanned.
Again, she laughed, and that time, it brought me all the comfort I could ever need.
That darling devil of a woman stole one more kiss before she whispered, “Good enough.”
For a moment, it was. But then the doorbell rang and, despite all her efforts to lift up a heavy heart, it still plummeted to my stomach at the sound.
So quickly, my favorite girls had fled towards the door and left me frozen in the lurch. My hands and feet felt numb as my heart tried to reason with a stubborn mind.
There were some things a father had to eventually face.
My little girl was growing up, and my bad knee probably wouldn’t survive the jump out of a second story window.
There was only one way out of this. I had to go through it all.
I could hear their voices, so full of joy and love that it made me ache at the thought of losing half of it.
But deep down, I knew that I risked losing her regardless of how much I resisted the boy she’d chosen.
So, eventually, I managed to shuffle stubborn feet down the hall and towards the living room.
Somewhat to my surprise, the boy’s presence was hardly noted. In fact, if my wife hadn’t been making such a fuss about the bouquet he’d handed her, I might have even missed him.
We locked eyes from across the room. The poor boy’s muscles seized in an instant. His shoulders crept towards his ears and he lost the battle of keeping his eyes on me.
There was a distant, fleeting feeling at the sight. Something not easily described, which made my palms sweaty.
My eyes almost fell to the floor, too, but they were stopped by the sight of my daughter. Seemingly unaware of my gaze, she’d thrown her arms around the boy the first moment that she could.
Again, my heart ached with a confounding feeling. With narrowed eyes and a fast-beating heart, I struggled to place it.
Thankfully, my wife was quick to interrupt before the two had caught me staring.
Before she called us all to dinner, though, I spotted that same wistful twinkling in her eye. She had simply been better at hiding it than me.
For that same reason, I let her take charge. I sat almost silent, successfully biting my tongue to save my daughter from the embarrassment of my unbridled enthusiasm.
Of course, her pride hadn’t been the only reason that I’d hardly spoken. There had been a couple more selfish desires.
The first was my unwaning concern about any boy who’d so much as looked at my daughter. However unlikely it might have been, I had to be certain that this boy was as harmless as he seemed.
My mind began running a million scenarios of increasing horror. Yet right before the fateful final moment, the theoretical fell flat.
There was, to my relief, almost nothing disconcerting about the boy.
Almost.
There was still… that funny feeling.
“Dr. Reid?”
The sound of a familiar moniker in an unfamiliar place—from an increasingly familiar voice.
“Hm?” I answered the boy.
“I hope it doesn’t sound rude, but I looked you up before I came,” he said with the telltale crackling of a nervous teenage boy.
“I don’t think it’s rude,” I said.
That’s what I would have done, was the unspoken realization.
“Well, that’s a relief,” he laughed.
My wife and daughter stifled a chuckle as they exchanged a secret set of glances that I didn’t understand.
“Your writing is way more advanced than my reading level,” the boy continued, “but I did try to read some of them. Your philosophy papers seemed so…”
He struggled to find the next word. His face twisted between a smile and something similar to a flinch. I recognized the hesitance like a mirror to the past.
“Would… hopeful be the right word?” he asked.
“Yes!” I shouted, to my own surprise.
And that boy’s face lit up like a properly screwed lightbulb from one of my very poorly received philosophy jokes.
I had become so excited by the prospect of being understood—for once—by someone so young and green that I could hardly contain my excitement.
“Which paper did you—?”
I cut myself off when I heard a soft sigh from the boy’s side.
At first, I’d thought that it was my daughter trying to warn me of my first social faux pas of the evening. But I was instead pleasantly surprised to find her contented smile. Although, it was aimed at someone else.
“No, please,” the boy beamed, “I want to hear about all of them.”
I contained the buzzing in my fingertips that tapped against the table. I turned to my wife  for permission, but her slight nod didn’t provide me the confidence to continue.
It wasn’t enough until my daughter blurted out, “Go ahead, dad. I know what I signed up for.”
What confounding words to be uttered so simply. I didn’t dare question them then.
Instead, I answered his question. I spoke at length and about anything he could remember. To my surprise, the conversation wasn’t nearly as one or two sided as I’d expected.
By my daughters third question, I was forced to accept that she really had been listening to me all those years while staring down at her phone.
My wife had been the quietest person at the table. The whole dinner, she just seemed to lean back and admire the scene before her. But behind each sip from her glass, I spotted a cheeky smile that appeared alongside that wistful distance in her eyes.
I decided I would ask her later what she saw.
Later came sooner than expected, however. The summer sun had long since set when an unfamiliar phone dinged.
“Oh, sorry, it’s my mom,” the boy muttered. There was a brief disappointment that seemed to dissipate the moment he read the message. “I should really get going, anyway. I don’t want to take up your whole night with my curiosity.”
“He really would talk forever if you let him,” my daughter said under her breath.
I assumed it had been a comment about me.
I was wrong.
“It’s just not very often I get to ask a philosopher for his thoughts, okay?” he chuckled.
He must’ve felt my dumbstruck staring, however, because he stopped himself. He straightened his back the best he could but his hand still trembled when he reached out to me to shake it.
“It really was nice to meet you, Dr. Reid,” he offered.
I was too frozen by the shock of how many mistaken assumptions I’d made in such a short period of time to respond. I glanced down at his hand and recalled a time where I was adamant that I wouldn’t shake a strangers hand.
That hadn’t been true anymore (thanks to my very supportive wife and therapist), but my daughter still recognized the ghost of hesitance.
One stern look from her made me spring into action.
His hand was warm and softer than mine. The only calluses were caused by a firm grip on a pencil rather than a gun. There was nothing worrisome about the way he tried to follow every instruction manual for handshaking.
He was, as my wife had put it, a sweet boy.
“It was very nice to meet you, too,” I returned. Then, knowing how much it would mean to them both, I smiled as I added, “I look forward to next time.”
Their responses were everything I had predicted, and it was entirely worth whatever germs might have been transferred.
The moment I turned my attention away from them, I watched from the corner of my eye as they excitedly squeezed each others hands until their whole bodies were bouncing.
“I’ll walk you to your car!” my not-so-little girl shouted.
It was less walking and more dragging until he managed to catch up to her.
The sight tugged once more at my heart. That strange feeling crept forward again and I tried to find its name as the front door clicked shut.
My wife swiftly ended the thought, however, by grabbing my hand and taking off towards the stairs.
“Come on!” she half-whispered between her tugging and my stumbling.
“Where are we going?!”
“We’re going to spy on them!” she now fully yelled, “Hurry up!”
In a fit of laughter and with our hands never breaking apart, we did just that. We booked it up to the master bedroom and—with the lights still off—my wife’s clever fingers pried apart the blinds just enough for us to peer through them.
The suburban summer night was almost quiet enough to hear them make their inevitably awkward goodbyes. The soft glow of carefully placed streetlights painted my daughter in an even more beautiful light, and I could tell the boy in front of her appreciated it for everything that it was.
Yet he turned away from her first, with his hand lingering in hers.
Somehow, I knew what would happen before it did. Sure enough, my daughter refused to let go. She used that hesitance to leave and pulled him right back to her and straight into a quick, chaste kiss.
And that was when I realized what that feeling had been. That lurid memory, the subtle glowing of my heart, was the familiarity of it all.
The scene unfolded like a home movie ripped straight from my memory.
In perfect synchrony with that epiphany, my wife released a dreamy sigh.
“Do you remember when that was us?” she asked.
“Yeah,” I laughed, “I do.”
I remembered it all with perfect clarity, despite how far away it had fallen. I dragged the memories back up with the same insistence that my wife had used to bring me to that moment.
I remembered the butterflies in my stomach and the anxiety of knowing that I was madly in love with a woman that was much too good for me. I also remembered how it felt to clamor back into my car and have to drive away from her with the taste of transferred lipgloss on my lips.
As the boy drove away, I felt a wave of relief ushered on by my wife’s comforting embrace.
“I think they’re going to be okay,” she whispered.
“Yeah. Me too,” I agreed.
We’d seen it happen before.

M Reader x Momo - Forbidden Love (Part 3)
Tumblr media
So, it's NOT the final chapter.
AN at bottom for explanation.
WORDS: 18151
===============================================
"Momo...I..."
Your words failed to escape as her words literally crushed yours.
"..."
"..."
"..."
You cleared your throat, shifting uneasily in your place.
"Momo," you began, your voice soft and tinged with regret, "...I'm sorry, I-I didn't know you were-"
You gulped as Momo didn't respond.
"..."
"...I'm sorry I haven't been here for you as much as I used to, but you work, our parents have me tied down and-"
"It's always about work with you," she said, her voice trembling, feeling a mixture of vulnerability and honesty, "is that honestly more important than me?"
"..."
Tumblr media
Momo's eyes flared for a second till almost closed and she hugged herself while looking away.
"S-sorry, sorry I-I didn't mean to-..." Momo took a deep breath while you sat there.
You hesitated for a moment, searching for the right words to convey the depth of your emotions.
In those ticking moments, your brain went into overdrive.
It was like a mental race, thoughts sprinting in all directions, the air heavy with unexpressed feelings as a rush of conflicting emotions surged within your chest.
In the hushed silence, your mind raced, thoughts colliding like a storm and each choice presented its own set of consequences, and the pressure to choose loomed large but as time collected, you felt the weight of the right choice settle, a realization echoing in your mind.
With determination etched on your face, you took a deep breath, seizing the seconds to embrace the uncertainty that lay beyond.
"..."
"..."
"..."
GRASP (Gently)
You reached out and took her hand, squeezing it to provide comfort as Momo turned to you, her eyes evident of her feelings as you swallowed your feelings and needed to say something back.
"I...I miss those times too, Momo. I can't tell you how sorry I am about you feeling like this. You know I never, ever want you to feel even a percent of what you're in now," Momo very slowly moved her head, "of course, I thought about us together. I truly do think about being with you daily Momo."
"..."
"And I never meant for work or any other responsibilities to overshadow us Momo," you continued, your gaze locked with hers, "My job or our parents aren't more important; it's just...complex, but trust me I want to be there for you to Momo. To cherish the moments we shared just like we used to. I don't want you to feel neglected or unimportant. You mean the world-no everything to me."
Her grip on your hand tightened, and a small, hopeful emotion came upon feeling it.
"..." you took a deep breath, "and I promised you ever since I could that I would be there for you no matter what Momo, first as a brother, but now as something deeper. I was there for you when you needed me the most before and I'll be damn if I left you feeling like this. I want to be there for you for as long as I can Momo. I'm sorry for you going through a tough time, but you don't have to worry any longer. I can't promise how quickly, but I'll be here. To be there for you to get through it together like we've always done."
Momo's eyes glistened with delight as a tear descended with her hold on your hand tightening.
You appear to have done the right thing as Momo quickly got on her knees and hugged you; nuzzling into your neck and digging her free arm around your neck with strength rivaling a boa.
"T-Thank you (YN)...you-you are the best..." she whispers in your ear as you hug back, no words needed from you.
The world outside ceased to exist, and all that mattered was the connection between you and her.
Though you felt the heaviness of the decision settling in, all decided in the blink of an eye.
But as the hug deepened, you could feel the unspoken words echoing between your hearts.
That's also when you realized that you two were still nude as Momo's naked body was pressing against yours and common sense returned as you cleared your throat.
"Uh, Momo, I hate to ruin this, but we should get dressed, no telling if any of the girls will come."
Momo pulled away, much to her dismay, but it was a more pleasant sight...
Tumblr media
was adorned with an infectious grin that stretched from ear to ear.
Her eyes sparkled with an inner light as if happiness itself had taken residence within her, revealing the depth of their joy, and a contagious warmth emanating from them.
There was an unmistakable sense of fulfillment, a silent acknowledgment that, yes, this was the right decision.
"Yeah, you're probably right, Mina and Chae are out walking too, but we're talking more about this."
You nodded as you two stood from their spot and went to gather their clothing.

14 Minutes Later
"So how close are we?" Mina asked Chaeyoung while fanning herself from the heat, "The heat is agonizing,"
"You should hear the water in a minute or two." Chaeyoung waved held hands hers and Mina's up and down.
After a long walk and lugging what's left of their lunch from their picnic, Chaeyoung decided to take Mina to the waterfall, the same one where you and Momo were at the moment.
"Good, I need to be in the water ASAP. You think (YN) and Momo are there?" Mina asked as Chaeyoung shrugged.
"Who knows, if they are great, if not, even better."
"How is that better?" Mina turned to her girlfriend who turned back to Mina.
"Cause we get some alone time~" Chaeyoung smiled as Mina rolled her eyes.
"We already had plenty before coming here,"
"Oh don't act like you don't want it too~" Chaeyoung's smile turned to a devilish grin as Mina pursed her lips, "knew it,"
Mina's response was side-bumping Chaeyoung as the younger one giggled back.
It was a few moments later in peace Mina started to hear something...
SHHSHSHSHHSHSHHSH
"And there's the water." Chaeyoung pointed forward and started to pick up the pace, "Come on Mina!" eventually dragging Mina forward as they were linked.
"Ah-Chae relax." Mina almost fell, but she picked up the pace to match Chaeyoung and another few moments later...
Tumblr media
"Now this is a sight," Mina complimented as Chaeyoung stared with the memories of her family and herself being here long ago.
"It sure is...oh! And there's (YN) and Momo." Chaeyoung pointed at the two sitting on the shore, both positioned to be looking at the duel waterfalls.
"Hey! (YN)! Momo!"
The two turned quickly to Chaeyoung's voice and saw her waving fast and high as Mina was at her side.
You and Momo waved back, surprised at the sudden appearance of the two as you turned to Momo.
"Now I'm really glad we got our clothes on." You noted as Momo nodded while her sisters walked towards you both sitting where the water was to your mid-torso.
"I see you found the place." Chaeyoung started while being near the two.
"We did. It's pretty relaxing," You said to them as they dropped their bags near the water end.
"It seems like it," Mina answered, "it's truly beautiful,"
Looking at the two, you remembered what Momo said about the two being together.
Mina was one of Momo's closest friends from Sixteen till now and Chaeyoung was fun and energetic throughout the week, they do seem nice together.
"It's like I remembered," Chaeyoung took a look at the scenery and inhaled a large amount of the outdoor air, "I'm hopping in," Chaeyoung then grabbed the helm of her shirt and pulled it over, revealing her pink bikini top, "Mina?"
"In a bit Chae."
"Alright, you two?" Chaeyoung asked dumping her shirt and started walking into the water.
"We're worn out," Momo said as you nodded, "now we're planning stuff,"
"Suit yourself, you better come with me Mina," Chaeyoung dipped her toes into the water as Mina smiled at her back, "and it's perfect~"
She took off her sandals as Mina joined you two sitting, dipping her feet into the temperate water while Chaeyoung was already swimming away.
"Full of energy she is," Mina stated, but she talked in Japanese since the trio shared the same language, "so, what are you two planning?" Mina asked turning to you both.
"About (YN) staying in Seoul permanently," Momo answered in Japanese as well.
Mina took a look at you and then Momo.
"Really?" She repeated.
"Yeah," Mina turned to Momo nodding as she smiled afterward.
"Wow, well that's wonderful, but uh, but can you?" Mina asked you as you shrugged.
"That's why we're discussing. It's gonna require a lot of planning, it's not as easy as you would think. Especially in the position I'm in with our parents."
"Your parents? What's wrong?"
"(YN) is...well, we'll talk about it when we get back with the others," Momo capped the conversation as Mina nodded.
"Alright. Regardless, it does sound like it'll be some effort, but the eight of us can help too." She stated while you smiled at Momo's J-line partner.
"Arigato Mina," Momo said to her nodding back.
"Mina!" Chaeyoung's voice echoed in the area.
"Alright, I'm coming! The things I do for her," and removed her top to reveal a lilac floral bikini top, "at least the water isn't too cold," Mina slowly went in and within half a minute, she was swimming towards her girlfriend.
As Mina swam towards Chaeyoung, the sun cast a warm glow on the serene waters of the isolated water spot.
The conversation about staying in the city permanently lingered in the air between you and Momo, creating a sense of uncertainty about the future.
After a few seconds of side-eyeing Momo moved her feet in the water, head hung watching the ripples being caused, you turned forward and let a silent sigh out.
Navigating family expectations and planning for a permanent stay in Seoul wasn't as simple as you made it be, or what Momo seems to think.

"And here you go Tzuyu," you walked over to her side and placed a plate in front of her, "careful, it's hot,"
Tumblr media
Tzuyu smiled at her well-prepared meal.
"Looks good," she turned to you, "thank you (YN),"
You nodded.
"No problem, but all the credit goes to Jihyo and Nayeon, they did all the work," you pointed at them towards the island table.
"And thank you for your instructions." Jihyo stated while cleaning up her section as Nayeon kept stirring the pot of curry, "And you better leave the recipe too."
"It's not much different from a Japanese Curry, it's my variation of it."
"Someone knows their cooking." Nayeon gave a grin as you turned from Tzuyu and towards the two.
"Google helps," you joked as they both smiled, "now then, you two can serve yourself, I'll clean up."
"You sure?" Jihyo asked.
"Go ahead,"
"Cool," "Thanks (YN)," both girls stopped their tasks and helped themselves to a plate, and started to serve.
You looked at the table after and the other seven girls were enjoying themselves, each one digging into the meal along with Momo eating, but slowly.
You let a silent sigh out through your nostrils.
Since coming back from the lake, Momo's energy seemed shot, not to the point of being miserable, but not the high energy she had the whole week, she was like another Tzuyu.
Understandable though.
The emotional baggage Momo had been carrying, the weight of decisions and plans, seemed to have taken a toll on her usual vibrant demeanor.
As you observed Momo slowly consuming her food, you had a sense of concern for her.
The meal continued, laughter and chatter were filling the air, and the other girls, immersed in their enjoyment, hadn't noticed the subtle shift in her mood but you.
Jihyo decided to sit next to Momo as there was an empty seat.
"Momo tell your brother to send us more recipes, 'cause this is good~" Jihyo already took a spoonful on the way to the table as Momo nodded.
"He cooked this all the time, huh Otouto," Momo said from her seat as you nodded at her.
As they exchanged glances, she managed a small smile, appreciating the unspoken support.
"If anyone wants seconds there's more in these pans," You informed the girls.
"Me!" "I'll get some more," Dahyun and Chaeyoung rose from their seats as you continued to clean up.
5 MINUTES OF CLEANING UP LATER
After seconds were served, you were lucky enough to have enough for two more servings, but now it wasn't the time.
You nodded to yourself and looked at the table of Twice sitting and finishing up their meals.
"Guess by the number of plates you girls ate, looking at you Sana," you pointed at the second J-line member while heading towards them.
"Hey..."
"You girls enjoyed it?"
"Very," "Yup," "I need the recipe (YN), I mean it." Jihyo pointed at you nodding back at her.
"I'll write it down for you in a bit."
"Thank you."
"But right now, there's something Momo and I need to talk about to the rest of you."
The atmosphere shifted as you addressed the group, their attention was now focused on the upcoming discussion.
"Everything okay?" Nayeon questioned with you nodding.
"Yeah, we told Mina and Chaeyoung this before coming back from our hike, but Momo and I had a serious conversation about me staying in Seoul permanently."
"Really?" "Ohh," "Nice,"
"Yeah, I think it's best if I stay here and be with Momo supporting her and you girls as well. It's gonna take some planning though." You added after and it was evident the girls were happy as most looked to Momo who was all smiles.
"So how long do you think till you can stay?" Chaeyoung wondered.
"Hard to say. It's not as simple as moving to another town, and my job is an obstacle along with-"
"Oh! Maybe you can work with our company," Chaeyoung added, "I'm sure our place could use someone like you (YN)," she pointed at you, "you have lots of responsibilities,"
You smiled at her description of your job.
AN: It could be any high-job
"That's not a bad idea," Mina stated, though none of the girls knew the extent of how ludicrous this can be.
"Well thank you, but it's not a job I'm worried about, but I appreciate it Chaeyoung. It's convincing my parents. And I do need perfect convincing for them to understand that I want to do this. It won't be easy."
Now the girls were confused.
"Wait? Why do you have to talk with them?" Sana asked and you knew her opinions of your parents from Momo's stories, "You could do whatever you want right?"
"They're still my parents." You answered back, but for most, it wasn't an ideal answer, but didn't want to say it.
One, however...
Tumblr media
"No offense and I do mean no offense," Jeongyeon spoke up, "why do you have to try to talk to them about it? I thought you weren't even close to them?" Jeongyeon spoke up.
"I mean, I'm not 'that' close, but I can't just leave them either."
"That's stupid," Jeongyeon retorted.
"Jeongyeon." Jihyo's voice boomed as Jeongyeon pointed at Momo.
"Jihyo you know how they were treated behind Momo's stories. If their parents didn't care for them, why should he to them?" Jeongyeon brought the table as the girls were silent, though they shared the same opinion, "I'd tell them I want to be with my sister. Isn't that a good enough reason?"
Jeongyeon's direct and assertive stance echoed through the conversation, raising a valid point in the situation.
Momo, caught between the two perspectives, wore an apprehensive expression shifting between you and Jeongyeon, not wanting to pick sides between one of her sisters or her brother.
"...she's right," you started as the girls turned to you, "you're right, it may be stupid, especially after everything, but that's exactly why it's difficult for me to leave. I've been with them since the start and with everything that's happened, you would think so, but for some time now I attempted to convince our parents to reconcile with Momo. They haven't at all spoken with her since the start of her training, training," you said twice, "and I can't leave without convincing them to forgive Momo."
"..." "..." "..." "..." "..." "..." "..."
"I thought after these years, we could be close like Momo and I wanted since we were younger. I know Momo got used to it, but I thought I could make that a reality that the four of us could hash things out and have dinner or camp or...something. And I know, if I tell them this, that's it, that slim dream we had is gone and I can't come to that. And despite the amount of times I bring her up, they won't even listen and move on, but I haven't let that stop me."
Your response carried a sense of responsibility, an acknowledgment that, despite not being 'that' close to them, you couldn't turn a blind eye to the struggles you faced.
The girls were heavy hearing your reasoning.
"So I'm sorry Jeongyeon, it is stupid to think that it-"
"No," Sana spoke very quickly, "you're far from stupid (YN). It's not wrong for you to believe in that."
The other girls nodded except Jeongyeon and Momo who stared at you.
Momo recalled what you said when they were at the lake outside the cabin, the conversation about being a family, she didn't know you were still trying till the waterfall location before Mina and Chaeyoung joined.
Imagine her surprise when she heard your reasoning of why it wasn't as easy to leave.
Jeongyeon, while sticking her to opinion, did feel for you, though she couldn't forgive what your parents did, or didn't do in this case.
You eyed Momo for a few seconds before your attention lowered to the table.
"...I'm gonna lie down and charge my phone." You hushed towards the end and didn't wait for an answer as you started walking away from the table as the girls behind.
"..." "..." "..." "..." "..." "..." "..."
The heavy silence that followed your revelation hung in the air.
The vulnerability in your tone, coupled with the genuine desire for a reunion resonated.
Some of the others looked at you leaving and once you were gone from their sight, they turned to Momo eyeing the table.
"I'm sorry Momo," Mina spoke up, but Momo merely nodded and...
SCREECH
It didn't take a genius to know Momo was going to follow behind as she scooted her chair and headed in your direction.
Once gone...
"Poor (YN)..." Dahyun muttered as some nodded.
"Jeongyeon, you're better than that." Jihyo started watching Jeongyeon as her eyes were set on the table too.
Hearing her, the girls turned to their second eldest as Jeongyeon sighed and looked up at her leader.
"I didn't mean to be rude, honest. I'll apologize later, but you know I'm right Jihyo." Jeongyeon pointed at her as Jihyo exhaled hard through her nose.
"I didn't want to say it in front of him, but I'm with Jeongyeon," Nayeon started, "I understand (YN) for wanting what he wants, but from what Momo told us, it's not right to her that he wants to keep the ones who didn't raise them. If you ask me, I think it's too late for them," Nayeon stated.
"As much as I hate to say it, I think so too," Sana agreed, "even Momo says it's passed and she got to used to it."
"She used to get sad about it, but when (YN) comes to visit she's more happier than ever," Mina finished as Chaeyoung nodded.
"He's all she needs," Jeongyeon cut in, "I'm sorry for being negative, but he's making it more difficult than it has to be."
"Well look at (YN)'s side here," Dahyun spoke up, "it was easy for Momo to pass on because she had us to fill in for that family. I don't blame her one bit for not feeling the way her brother feels, but after leaving him, who did (YN) have to replace that role?"
The girls took in Dahyun's words.
That's true, the nine of them treated themselves as a family, even labeling Jeongyeon and Jihyo 'father and mother' along with their managers being aunts/uncles of the groups.
But for you, it was just your 'parents'.
It was no wonder for them as to why Momo was able to move on as you were still hinged.
"Well right now, it doesn't matter who is right or wrong," Jihyo started, "it's about finding a solution that works for everyone, even if we don't agree," Jihyo urged, her leadership shining through her words, "the same goes for (YN), family is important to him, even if he is a less-knitted one."
"..." "..." "..." "..." "..." "..." "..."
"But enough about them. Let's wait for them," Jihyo leaned forward, "it's not our place to meddle or talk about their problems behind their backs. Until they need our help, then we'll talk about it. If we're done eating, let's clean up." Jihyo sat up from her seat, shifting the focus away from the Hirai family, redirecting the conversation with a decisive tone.
The room fell into a wordless silence after that; the scraps of plates, utensils, and water were heard as each member, while your problem was lingering on their minds, contemplated on the memories of their own families: the good and the bad.

SCREECH
It didn't take a genius to know Momo was going to follow behind as she scooted her chair and headed in your direction.
Following into the hall, she spotted the different doors and peeped into the first two on the right and left and didn't see you.
Going further to the next set of doors, she looked into her room and she spotted you sitting on the edge of Sana's bed.
No word was said as she stepped inside, closing the door behind and in the quiet glow of their shared bedroom, Momo sat next to her younger brother, who looked average after the explanation.
"..."
"..."
"..."
"...You okay?" She asked as you nodded, "You know Jeongyeon didn't mean it when-"
"I understand. I'm not upset or anything. I told you I figured this would be their reaction. I just needed a minute," Momo nodded, "I get what she meant. Wouldn't surprise me if the others agreed with her." You answered, your eyes fixed on the floor.
Momo gently placed a hand on your arm, lowering towards your hand and gripping it, offering a warm closure.
"You should have told me that you were talking to them about us sooner." She questioned and you nodded in response.
"Didn't bother to tell you since it wasn't going anywhere. I didn't want to hurt you more especially after you said if it's too late for that. I've been trying for a while, a long while..." You sighed, looking forlorn and then your sights set on your sister, "it was like you said with us sitting by the lake with your friends, I thought time would fix things and them looking back and thinking about what they did or didn't do in this case," your eyes lowered once more and then forward at the furniture of the room.
Tumblr media
"but nothing...I'm sorry Momo, I know your opinion of them, but I didn't want to believe you were right about them. Deep down I truly thought that they might have changed and..." You shook your head, "I don't want to lose you Momo," your eyes adjusted to her once again, "I love you, truly I do, and what you said to me, believe me, I took it to heart but as I told you at the lake, once I tell them that I want to leave to be here, that's it, it's over. And the four of us are just-..."
Momo looked at you with a mixture of understanding and sadness, her gaze softening as you poured your heart out.
She leaned in, but instead of speaking, Momo brought her other hand up to your left cheek, stroking it softly, trying to convey her feelings through the warmth of her touch.
"I get it," Momo whispered, "That's who you are (YN), that's the (YN) I fell in love with," she noticed a raise in your lips, "I thank you for trying, I mean it. And I know it's not easy for you, and I appreciate that you tried to keep going on what we wanted. I don't blame you for thinking that things could change now, I thought like that too." Momo's smile dropped, "but," there it was, "I don't want you to be hurt (YN) while having a second chance with them could be great, I hope you understand that...well..."
"That it won't happen."
You finished for her as Momo felt awful for hurting her brother, but she had to put it through.
She didn't say this at the lake but figured now it was best to voice her thoughts.
"...I'm not saying it won't. But at this point, I'm afraid that it's close to it. I'm not saying what you're doing is wrong or bad or a waste. I love that you're trying, but I don't want you to dwell on it for too long for us. Just like you mean the world to me," Momo continued, her voice softening with each word, "unfortunately the Hirai company means the world to them; then, now, and always."
You remained silent, absorbing Momo's words.
"..."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"..."
Momo's expression fell, thinking that maybe this wasn't able to go through.
"...if you want to stay with them (YN), I'd understand. If I knew you were like this then I wouldn't have asked you to-"
"Give me one more try."
You stopped her words.
"Just one, if it doesn't work out, then...it'll be you and me only."
Momo was split down in her emotions.
Fifty percent of her was jumping with joy, the other was devasted that you going to lose that link with their parents like her.
Trust her, she knows how that feels and she's ready to help you if that happens to you in any way.
"You sure?"
"...yeah." Hearing that made Momo feel the opposite of what she wanted, "I need to know, for myself and maybe for them, that I did everything I could for this to work, and if not...then so be it."
Momo nodded slowly.
"And I'll help you in any way I can. I am sorry (YN)."
"Don't be. I was in denial."
"No, they're in denial." Momo corrected, her eyes reflecting a mixture of determination and concern, "I can't feel the way you feel (YN), but I'll do everything I can to make this workout. I owe it to you to give it my best shot."
You offered a small smile, appreciating Momo's sincerity.
"Thank you Momo."
As the two of you delved into the challenging task ahead, Momo couldn't help but admire your resilience.
The weight of the situation hung in the air, but there was an unspoken agreement to face it together.

TIMESKIP
23 MINUTES
CLING-CLANK
SHHHHHHHHHH
"Here Jihyo," Jeongyeon brought four plates with her to the sink and placed them near Jihyo doing the dishes.
"Thanks,"
Jeongyeon nodded while stepping on the other side of her, picking up a dishcloth and started to dry some more dishes that Jihyo washed.
Meanwhile the other six girls were in the living room with the TV turned on watching some people running an obstacle course, but it was one of those joke type of runs.
Most likely Chaeyoung's way of turning the mood as she was the one to put it on.
"Jeong," Jihyo called her friend as Jeongyeon turned to her, wiping a cup, "do you mind checking up on (YN) and Momo?"
Jeongyeon nodded and placed the cup on the side with the cloth.
"Sure,"
"And Jeong-"
"I know,"
Jeongyeon knew it wasn't just to check on them, Jihyo didn't need to say it as her leader nodded back.
She walked away from Jihyo and turned to the group as Chaeyoung and Mina were watching the screen, the other four on their phones.
Turning away from them, she headed down in the hall and locked eyes at the closed door of Momo, her and Sana's room.
Standing in front of the wooden panel, Jeongyeon exhaled, brought her hand up and...
KNOCK KNOCK
"Hey uh, are you two busy?"
"Coming," upon opening the door, Momo met Jeongyeon with a simple expression.
"Hey Jeongyeon," Momo greeted but her eyes showed a hint of concern as she noticed the pensive look on Jeongyeon's face, "what's up?"
Jeongyeon looked behind her to see her younger brother sitting on the bed.
"I would like to talk to (YN) for a minute. Alone if that's okay." Jeongyeon questioned as Momo turned to you already standing from the bed too.
"Sure," you said and headed towards the duo with a questioning expression, "be right back," you informed Momo as your sister nodded.
"It won't take long," Jeongyeon gestured toward the hallway, signaling for you to step outside for a private conversation.
As they walked a few steps away from the closed door after you two left, Jeongyeon turned and you stopped, her lips pursed for a few seconds before taking a breath.
"I need to apologize for what I said,"
Tumblr media
She began, her voice wavering slightly, "I came off too strong and I didn't help the situation. It was careless of me to say something like that and I'll be honest, it is difficult for me to understand. What Momo went through got to me and the others and hearing what you wanted got the best of me and, I'm sorry." She gave a slight bow and in return, you looked at her with a surprised yet understanding expression.
"Hey it's okay Jeongyeon," you started as she resumed form, "you don't have to apologize. I appreciate it, but I understand why you said so after what you and the others heard from Momo."
Jeongyeon felt a wave of relief wash over her.
She had feared your reaction, but hearing what Momo said about you, she should have figured.
"So we're okay Jeongyeon. Trust me, I want to be with her to support her and everything and now we're planning something to find common ground here with my sister and our parents, but ultimately, I'm staying in the end."
Jeongyeon nodded slowly.
"Alright. Again, I'm sorry, I, well all of us want the best for Momo, and you too. "
"And I'm grateful for that. If anyone should be thanking it's me to you for caring so much about her. We're extremely lucky that she's with you."
Jeongyeon gave a warm smile.
"If anyone's lucky, it's Momo having a brother like you," now it was your turn to show a ginger smile, "and we're here as well (YN). If you need anything, don't hesitate to tell us. We want to help too."
You couldn't contain your joy knowing Momo was surrounded by a group of amazing friends who wholeheartedly supported her.
Momo had always been a kind and caring soul, but seeing her with the other eight who appreciated and uplifted her was something truly special for you and her.
It wasn't just about the number of friends she had; it was about the quality of the relationships she had formed.
And she couldn't have formed a better eight.
"I will," you smiled at her as Jeongyeon smiled back.
"So, we're okay?" She asked as you nodded.
"We're okay,"
Hearing that, you raised a fist as Jeongyeon smiled and fist-bumped back.
"Alright, thanks Jeongyeon, if you don't mind, Momo and I kind of need some more time to ourselves."
"Say no more, we'll be waiting in the living room until then," Jeongyeon finished for you as you nodded.
"Thanks," and with a nod, you two headed back out, you into your room with a final nod to her as you entered Momo's room and Jeongyeon back to the living room.
Upon entering, she spotted the girls sitting still and turned to Jihyo's back who still doing the dishes.
"Hey," she alerted Jihyo once she got closer and she turned her head to her approach.
Jihyo turned the faucet off and turned her body to face her as Jeongyeon got on her side.
"How'd it go?" Jihyo asked as Jeongyeon gave a thumbs up.
"We're good. It didn't bother him. Seems like Momo is doing well too. They want their space though for now. Seems like they're discussing things."
"That's good," Jihyo responded as Jeongyeon nodded.
"It is. I'm sorry to you and the others as well," Jeongyeon gave a side pout, "I was harsh."
"It's okay Jeongyeon," Jihyo claimed for the group while she patted her left shoulder, "you had Momo on your mind. We don't fault you for that, just the approach wasn't it."
Jeongyeon nodded.
"Hopefully whatever happens, it won't end badly," Jeongyeon stated, "I want Momo and (YN) to be happy."
"Oh I wouldn't worry. With what Momo told us, they had each other's support since at a very young age. And if doesn't go their way, then we'll be there for Momo as much as we can." Jihyo proclaimed as Jeongyeon nodded at the statement.
"Right, well, until then, these dishes aren't going to get done themselves," Jeongyeon pointed and returned to her original spot with the cloth as Jihyo nodded and assisted her in drying and putting them away.
On a lighter note, the atmosphere was more relaxed now, and Jeongyeon felt a weight lifted off her shoulders.

CLICK
SQUEAK
"Hey," you said upon entering back into the room.
You closed the door behind you as Momo was lying on the bed, phone in hand but now sitting up and turned to you.
"Everything okay?" She asked and you nodded in response.
"She apologized for what she said at the table. I told her it wasn't necessary but thanked her."
"That's nice of her," you nodded and sat down on the edge of the bed with Momo.
"Yeah, you have an amazing group." You complimented as Momo chuckled.
"Hehe~ indeed I do." You nodded, "Hey so, I'm not too sure, but I think I have an idea."
"Hmm?"
"While on my phone, I googled something, and that led me to another thing and well I'm not sure if it's a good one or an idea at all." Momo pointed at her phone and shrugged.
"At this point, anything will be good, what'd you got?" Momo fixed herself on the bed for her legs to bend and turned to you.
"Okay, so our parents love their company, right? Like a lot?" You nodded, "And they still want to become a grand success right?"
"It kind of is already, our distribution is in all of Japan. Got to credit to them, they know how to run an efficient business," you answered.
"Perfect, so I was thinking, have you three had talks of expanding outside of Japan?"
"..."
Momo saw your eyes flare.
"What if they want it to make it even more amazing as to bring their work here with you? Companies do that, right? Is that something you can do?"
"...Momo, that's a big-"
"Of course, it won't be as big as in Japan to start," Momo waved her hands to cut you off, "but seeing as how mom and dad made it to what it is now and not to brag but I am a big deal over here, it shouldn't be that hard to get a start if we plan this right, right? So I thought, what if this could convince them that you could stay here and be working under their name while being with me, or close to me, but that means we could see each other every day and you get to be working with mom and dad still. Plus they could expand their business to be more known, so that's a win-win-win for us four."
"..."
"Soooo, what do you think?" Momo asked leaning forward, a smile on her as you looked outward.
"..."
You stared away from Momo, cementing your last thoughts as you considered Momo's proposal.
"..."
"..."
"...I-I mean, saying is one thing, it's doing it another. Expanding here is a bold move, very bold." you finally replied, meeting Momo's eager gaze. "I mean we had a talk here and there but it was always about having a foothold in Japan and even then expanding was difficult but it worked out, but to Seoul...that won't be easy,"
Momo kept her gaze up as you stood up and started to walk a few paces.
"And while there are plentiful amount of businesses here, this isn't a next city over, it's a new country."
"..." Momo saw you turn and walk in the opposite direction as you voiced your thoughts.
"Plus we'll have to have a deep understanding of the market since preferences, trends, and competition are different from Japan. Also, the cultural differences between us might not directly translate to success in Seoul so we'll have to adapt our business model to fit local customs and deal with a new set of legal and regulatory hurdles with business permits, taxation, and intellectual property rights, among other things."
"..." Momo stared at the side of your head as you turned once more.
"Then we'll have to build trust and relationships if we get that far so local partners, distributors, and influencers are essential to gain credibility and visibility in this system so finding the right connections who could help us navigate the market effectively could be challenging since partnerships are already formed."
"..."
"But even if we pass all that, our parents will have to agree. And this will be a significant financial investment and given all that I said, it's going to have to be-"
You turned to Momo...
Tumblr media
"And you're smiling."
"You seem to be already planning everything."
A low-tone sigh escaped your lips as your thoughts ran through like a train.
"Well, I'm not saying it's impossible, but even then it's a big 'if' Momo."
"Of course, I know that (YN). But I do feel this can go somewhere. I know it's a lot, but our business is anything but slacking. It is well known in all of Japan, and lots of businesses are with us. It's not like they haven't done this before."
"True, but it doesn't mean that would want to start anew. I'm not trying to sound negative or in denial, but it's a long and I do mean long shot here Momo."
"So was me taking a chance of being an idol, and look at me."
Momo wasn't fazed as she pointed at herself.
Her eyes reflected a mix of determination as you looked into them, searching for a sign, a reassurance that this leap of faith was worth taking and Momo's unwavering gaze spoke volumes.

TIMESKIP
18 Minutes Later
"Hehe~" Sana grinned over Jihyo's shoulders.
Their leader heard and placed her phone down.
"Oh come on Sana..." Jihyo pouted.
"Texting Vor again~" Dahyun teased as Jihyo rolled her eyes.
"I'm just asking how he's doing, nothing much." She responded
"Haven't you been on the phone for twenty minutes now~" Sana poked Jihyo's shoulder as Jihyo sighed.
"And that's why Vor can't update," Nayeon grinned, "too busy with our leader~"
"Oh don't give me that," Jihyo countered and raised her phone, "Ms, 'back off, I saw him first' " Jihyo taunted back as Nayeon's smirk fell to a frown.
"I didn't mean it like that!"
"This is sad." Tzuyu gave a shake of her head as Jeongyeon nodded.
"Alright moving on," Mina shook her hands in front as Jihyo and Nayeon huffed.
"How much longer do you think they'll be in there?" Chaeyoung asked looking into the hallway, already moving past the initial conversation.
"As long as they need Chae, it's not an easy conversation to have," Mina answered as Chaeyoung sighed in return.
"They'll be fine," Sana reassured, "I'm sure it won't be long-...oh right on time." Sana looked onward and saw you walking towards them.
"Hey everyone,"
Your voice caused the other members of Twice to turn too.
"(YN)," "Hey," four of them said.
"How are-" Jihyo was asking, but they all looked at Momo coming from behind you...
Tumblr media
...pulling her luggage, which confused the others.
"Uh, why do you have your luggage Momo?" Nayeon pointed at her.
"Momo and I are heading back to Seoul." You spoke up and all gave quizzical looks.
"Is something wrong?" Jihyo asked.
"No. While there, Momo and I were discussing a plan that she came up with that could be beneficial to our entire family. It's quite a plan, but at this point, I'm willing to try anything."
Momo nodded in agreement.
"What is it?" Sana asked for the whole group.
"Well," you started, "Momo came up with an idea. I'm going to attempt to convince our parents to expand the business to Seoul."
The girls had immediate reactions.
"And if it works out in our favor; I could keep in contact with our parents as well as live near Momo, and our parents get exponential growth. So in Momo's words, it's a win-win-win scenario." You finished as Momo nodded with a smile, happy that this was happening.
The others well, were quite stunned at the sudden plan.
"Oh...wow," Mina muttered.
"That sounds pretty difficult," Chaeyoung stated.
"Will it work?" Tzuyu inquired.
"Don't know, it won't be easy, but I'm going to try to convince my parents of this and then we'll go from there. That's why we're heading towards the city to discuss with a firm that'll help us get information about it."
The girls looked at one another for a shared expression.
"I mean, even then, will your parents agree to this?" Jihyo's question was a tricky one as you shrugged.
"That's the trickiest part. Momo figured that since they love their business so much, this will influence them, though I haven't heard of talks from them about leaving Japan," you reasoned, "I won't be able to just say the idea to them like Momo did, they'll have to be convinced and my pitch to them will have to be spot on for them to even consider this. Not only that, they'll have to let me oversee it so...yeah, not easy." You topped it off as the girls weren't so keen on how much this was.
"Well...that's something I guess," Dahyun muttered.
"And what if it doesn't convince them?" Jeongyeon asked.
"If it doesn't...then I hope they understand that leaving is the best for Momo." You answered to Jeongyeon.
"You're going to quit then?" Jihyo clarified and you nodded and their leader looked to Momo, "Momo don't tell me you implied him to-"
"It's my choice," you affirmed, "nor what Jeongyeon said as well," you turned to Momo who nodded at you, "we had a serious talk at the lake before Mina and Chaeyoung showed up and," you turned to the others now, "Momo needed me more than I thought," the girls turned to Momo whose eyes downcast, "it's best that I remain here with her rather than leave and have her feeling...torn."
After hearing that, the girls turned to Momo.
"Momo..."
"Is this true?"
"Were you that down?"
Momo took a deep breath, lifting her eyes to meet her group.
"I...haven't been myself lately. I love you eight to death, I do, but," Momo then looked at you, "I need my brother twice as much here. I wouldn't be here nor be who I am without him and now, I need him more than ever,"
The others exchanged glances, sensing the gravity of the situation and Momo turned to her group.
"I'm sorry, I know I shouldn't keep it from all of you but work has been getting to me and you know whenever I feel down, I talk to (YN) to cheer myself up, but talking isn't enough for me anymore. I need him now more than ever."
They heard her and seconds later Sana quickly came further and hugged Momo, even pushing her a few inches back.
"Momo, gomen nasai. Kon'na fuu ni kanjite ita nante shirimasen deshita. Watashi, motto kizuku beki datta noni..."
I'm so sorry Momo, I didn't know you were feeling like this. I should have known better...
Momo returned the hug quickly.
"Kokorowaketa kutakunakattanda. Ayamaranaide, Sana."
I didn't want you to worry. Don't be sorry, Sana.
Then another member came in, more slowly as Mina joined the trio.
"Sore ni kakawarazu Momo, watashitachi wa otagai o kizukaimasu. Hitori de kakaekomu koto wa shinaide. Watashitachi wa anata ga shiawase de ite hoshī nda yo.
Regardless Momo, we look after each other. You shouldn't keep this to yourself. We want you to feel happy.
"Mina, kimitachi wa mousude ni watashi o shiawase ni shite kurete iru. Demo, (YN) mo issho ni ite hoshii nda." Momo spoke to the two.
You already make me happy Mina, all of you. But I also need (YN) with me too.
The MiSaMo trio were comforting one another as you smiled at the sight of the three who were together before Sixteen started.
The sister's Momo never had.
"(YN)?" You turned and saw Jihyo waving her hand at her so you walked closer to the group remaining.
"Don't get us wrong, we want Momo to be happy, but are you really okay with this?" She asked upon being near them, "We don't want you to put a dent in your life or with your parents."
"Yeah, I'm sure. If they weren't going to connect with Momo since she started being a trainee and my words weren't going through then, what Jeongyeon and Momo said was true, I just needed to hear it. Plus Momo's well-being means more to me than anything, more than my parents after hearing her at this point. I said what I said, but no point in trying for knows how long and leaving Momo behind like that. So if my parents say no to this then I'll be fine knowing that they're doing well."
The girls didn't give much positive reactions, Jeongyeon the most as the guilt was building up on her.
As you spoke, the remaining group sat in contemplative silence, absorbing the weight of the decision.
The leader that she is, Jihyo leaned forward, her expression thoughtful.
"Okay..." Jihyo could only agree with your words, "Just making sure that you're okay with it."
"I am," You nodded to her as Jihyo didn't like the outcome, but it wasn't her place to stop you.
"So what's the first step?" Chaeyoung asked.
"We're going to visit a firm to help us. I looked into it and it's a very reliable start. It's called Koisraup."
The girls never heard of it, but then again, they know nothing of business.
"But don't you leave in two days?" Nayeon asked.
"Yes. I'm not going to be able to come back for a while so this will be the only opportunity I get. I doubt I'll get anything done, but a couple of days of work is better than nothing and then I'll figure it out myself back home."
"Well, I wish you well in that then," Nayeon stated and you appreciated the words.
"Is there anything we can do?" Jeongyeon now brought her voice in.
"Being there for Momo once I'm gone again," you turned to Momo, but the Misamo trio were gone from their spot.
'Probably went in a room.'
"she'll most likely need it after I leave," you and Jeongyeon exchanged a glance, a silent understanding passing between them, "but it won't be for long this time."
"We got her," Jeongyeon stated.
"I know you do. Besides that, nothing else. No offense, but I doubt there's anything you can help me for now." You added.
"Really? Nothing?" Tzuyu asked as you nodded.
"Sorry Tzuyu, I would love your help, but in this area, I don't think there's much you eight will know."
"I guess that's true," Tzuyu nodded after hearing you.
"Wait, what's your job again (YN)?" Nayeon asked, "You move stuff around yeah?" She corrected herself.
"In lighter terms, yes, we move stuff around. Why?"
"Well, what about our company? Chaeyoung is right about working with us. Maybe you can talk to producer-nim about getting a deal with us? Our albums and everyone else's in the company sell a ton. Would be pretty big of you to score us~" Nayeon flaunted herself up...
Tumblr media
...you smiled at her aid.
"Well that would be a great deal to have you and JYPE, but before we start talking about deals, the main focus is finding a location before setting a foothold. Plus I'll have to see what businesses are around, who's with whom, information like that, but I'll keep that in mind." Nayeon nodded. "And I'll be taking my rental car and I'll come back for you to drive you back," they nodded, "thank you and sorry for leaving early."
"Don't apologize (YN)." Dahyun quickly replied.
"At least we had fun for some days." Chaeyoung gave positive words as you nodded.
"It was, thank you Chaeyoung. Thank you all of you for allowing me to be here." You turned to each one as they smiled or nodded, "You're all great to be with."
"And you as well (YN)." Nayeon reflected as the others nodded.
"So does this mean we won't see you again?" Chaeyoung asked with a pout.
"You'll see me for a bit. Since I'm leaving Sunday morning, we'll be coming back for you girls tomorrow to drive back to your dorm since I'm bunking with you till my flight the next morning."
Chaeyoung nodded.
"So we have one more night then," she pointed one finger up.
"Yes, we do. Alright, then let me get my stuff and we'll be on our way when they come back." You walked forward as the remaining members gave looks at one another.

SLAM
"Ready?" You asked Momo nodding as you started up the car and buckled yourself up.
"Be careful Momo and don't attract too much attention." Jihyo was near the passenger's seat speaking to Momo.
"Don't worry. We won't be stepping out of the car. I'll be hidden." Momo explained as Jihyo nodded.
"Good. Keep us updated, and if you need anything, we're just a call away." Jeongyeon added as Momo nodded.
"We will," Momo said to her group.
"And don't forget to take breaks. Make sure both of you get some rest too." Sana added as Momo smiled at their antics.
"We get it hehe, don't worry about us, I'll take good care of him," Momo answered as you rolled your eyes.
"Take care of each other," Jihyo corrected, "be safe you two."
"We will," "See yah,"
"Bye," "Good luck," "Be safe,"
And with that, the group exchanged a final round of well-wishes and reassurances before the car was in drive and you drove into the main road, Momo waving at the girls out her window as they continued to wave back before they left their POV.
"Well Otouto, it's you and me now." Momo stated while pulling her phone out, "I'll put the directions for the first spot...which is what?"
"Koisraup."
"Ah yes, Koisraup...who was that again?" Momo questioned as you smiled.
"A business development and consulting firm. We'll discuss with them first about the administrative, legal, and tax implications here. From what I read, they'll guide us in what we need so hopefully we'll get a decent amount of info from them."
Momo nodded and typed in the location.
"Kois-there it is,"
Starting route to Koisraup
Continue on this road for # miles and take exit #
"Alright," Momo placed her phone in the middle of the two, "it's an hour and forty-seven minutes to get there. Road trip." Momo leaned back in her seat.
Tumblr media
"Get cozy then...are you okay?" You asked as Momo nodded slowly.
"I am, much more now that this is happening." You smiled and nodded.
"Right, by the way, what did Mina and Sana talk to you about? You three left the room for a bit."
"Oh, they wanted to know if I was doing okay, like mentally," Momo answered as you figured as much, "they were worried about how long I was hiding it and if I needed to talk to our boss about it. I said I would be alright."
You side-eyed Momo as she was looking forward and you looked the same again.
"Glad to hear. I'm happy you have your group Momo," Momo nodded.
"Me too (YN)."
You nodded afterward.
"So, any plans for you girls? Any spoilers you can give?" You diverted the atmosphere into a more pleasant one as Momo turned to you.
She figured the business talk would be later, the ride is an hour and a half there.
"Well, there are some plans, there's even one with Sana, Mina, and I."
You raised your brows.
"Really? Can you tell me about it?"
"As long as you keep it quiet,"
"You know me." You responded as Momo giggled.
"Okay, so our unit is going to be called Misamo, that's our names put together and the video is about..."
And so Momo started to talk about the plans of her and her group as you listened along.

TIMESKIP - 11 hours later
"Kuso jigoku..." you swore under your breath while you stretched your back on the couch.
"Take a break (YN)." Said Momo on your right, "We haven't had one since we left the cabin."
You glanced at the laptop's clock, realizing that it was getting close to 11 PM.
"Yeah, no good to overwork ourselves."
Momo nodded and was glad that you finally had a break, lunch didn't count for her as you also worked through that while she stared at the coffee table.
On it was her laptop that she lent to you, with a couple of folders of papers in each and an assortment of notes.
You two have been busy driving around Seoul, especially where most businesses reside such as Dongdaemun.
After consulting with Koisraup, which was pretty helpful in delegating what to do and where you can start, it was off finding sites.
Of course, a very select few buildings were up for sale and ready to be moved in, however, they were problematic as they weren't in the designated areas that you wanted.
The other hand was to buy the land itself; closer, but more costly.
Either way, it wasn't anything new, just extra steps...a complex few steps.
Doable? Sure you can see it.
The question is, can your parents?
"Gomen (YN)," you turned to your sister, "I wish I could help you more. I've been on the side just taking notes. You've been talking to these companies about everything."
"Hey don't talk like that Momo. You right here is support enough."
"Okay but it's only one of me, you have a whole army of workers to help."
"I do, but why would I want a bunch of boring people over someone as beautiful as you," you grinned as Momo playfully rolled her eyes.
Tumblr media
Her quick faint smile was turned upside down upon looking over the laptop and then back at you.
"Still can't believe it's a hundred million Won to just start it all."
AN: Unless I'm making a mistake, that's legit the starting investment for a company to buy stocks to be a legal business in Seoul
"Same in Japan. That's business, it's a way to know that you have the money to do this and to properly ensure the government." You explained as Momo combed through her hair at the revelation. "Although, the market here is vast and intricate, much more than Japan, which is good. Lots of potential work and I mean lots and it's not just large but a larger portion of smaller business around meaning many goods are being transported thus needing quite a lot of what our work does."
"And what's the bad?"
"That everyone is set here and being new means we'll have to convince our way to these deals being done and we'll have to figure out where and who'll want to listen to us which isn't something I can do now."
"And you deal with this daily?" Momo picked up a document given by Koisraup.
"No. Only twice I had to deal with this when we expanded to other cities. Dad decided it was time for me to step up in bigger responsibilities. I do smaller, but everyday duties, like your manager, but replace you nine with branches of our building."
"...do you like it?" She asked after a few seconds while you shrugged.
"It's alright work. It doesn't scream fun, but it's not boring."
Momo nodded slowly.
"...do you like working with Mom and Dad?"
"You know, you would think it'd be great, but..." you shrugged, "they're not easy to work with," you continued, "Mom has this meticulous way of planning everything, down to the last detail. Dad, on the other hand, is all about spontaneity and gut feelings. You would think it wouldn't work between but they mesh very well together. Hearing them discuss is, intense, in a good way. The way they think of everything and I mean everything Momo."
Momo nodded.
"And I respect them a lot. They built our empire from the ground up, and they're trying to find my place in it. It's a challenge, but challenges keep things interesting, right?"
She chuckled.
"Heh, I suppose so," as you sifted through the few documents on your desk, "and that's what they expected of me," Momo took a look at the laptop, "to be like them."
"As I said, you turned out better,"
Momo had another faint smile, but her response...
"...I'm not being selfish am I (YN)?"
Her response caught you off guard, but it didn't faze you for long.
"Sel-why would you think that?" Momo looked away from you, embarrassed of the matter.
"I want you here, I do, but throughout the day, I've also been thinking about what you said with our parents. I don't want to force you into doing anything that was also thinking that maybe I'm being-"
"No you're not," you stopped her, "there's nothing selfish about expressing your feelings," her gaze met yours, and you could see a mixture of uncertainty and longing in her eyes, but you offered her a reassuring smile, "we," you pointed at you both, "wouldn't happen if you haven't told me about the same our first night together. I'm glad you told me how you felt Momo, really."
Momo's eyes softened as she absorbed your words.
The weight on her shoulders seemed to lift a little, and a small smile tugged at the corners of her lips.
"Thank you," she whispered, her voice filled with gratitude and she reached out to gently cup your cheek, "I'm really glad you're doing this (YN). I mean it."
"You know I'd do anything for you onee-san," you assured her, your gaze locked onto hers, "Aishiteimasu," (I love you)
Momo let out a gentle breath.
"Watashi mo itoshite iru yo," (I love you too)
And as if on cue, you both leaned in, closing the distance between you.
The kiss was gentle yet filled with the depth of unspoken words.
It was a promise of understanding and a celebration of the emotions that had brought you to this point.
Continuing with the moment, Momo brought her other hand up and she probed her tongue at your lips as the millisecond you opened; Momo explored your mouth as you both just moaned at each other's touch.
The kiss wasn't an overloaded sexual one, but a comforting one; one that declares your love for another.
You can hear the rumble of her moan vibrating through her naked chest against yours, feeling the gentle cadence of her breathing.
It wasn't long before you both lost yourselves in the dance of passion.
The environment seemed to fade away, leaving only the warmth of the sibling's bodies and the sweet symphony of shared desires.
Momo's fingers traced gentle patterns along your skin, leaving a trail of electric sensations in their wake and the air was filled with a heady mix of anticipation and the taboo love the two shared that only the two of you understood, a language of intimacy, trust, and boundless affection.
Of course, it wasn't like that in a few moments...
Momo pressed her hand down hard on your shoulders and straddled you to have your back on the couch as Momo captured you on top, pressing her hands to the side of your head once more and capturing your lips.
Leaning back against the cushion, you embraced her tongue within your mouth, moaning past her lips as Momo nearly collapsed onto you.
It was an otherworldly experience to be lip-locked with her, no matter how long or much it's been since that first day, it always felt incredible to have her body on you or the naughty feeling of her being your Onee-san gave you thrills.
Either way, the kiss soon ended and you opened your eyes to gaze back at her hues.
Momo pulled her face away with a grin.
No words were needed to know that you two were going to share a time.
"Guess that break will have to wait~" she didn't ask but stated while shoving her hands down between your legs and pressed against your cock as you hissed as she started to rub up and down.
Tumblr media
Momo gazed back into your eyes and softly whispered...
"Besides this being our last night, I think you deserve a reward for being doing so much hard...work."
You wanted to chuckle, but Momo kept grinding her hand harder and deeper.
"Momo-"
RING RING RING
"Oh come on..." Momo groaned as you both turned to the coffee table and noticed your phone lighting up with 'Dad' on it.
"It's Dad," you turned to Momo and noticed a flat expression at her side, "...but I'll talk to him later."
And just like that, Momo turned back to you and seconds later, she grinned once more, but not a devious one, but more of a gratitude.
"Oh my Otouto~ someone's being naughty~"
"You're a bad influence,"
"Hehe~ then let me show you how much of a naughty sister I can be~" Momo raised her hands to your body, cupping your face and Momo shoved her lips to yours.
Her plump ass down onto your lap while you threw your arms around her back and pulled her in.
Momo pushed her lips to yours once again and you two continued to kiss as she moved her lips against yours and snaked her tongue into your mouth, her hips began to roll, grinding her ass down into your lap against your crotch.
And not because she was your girl, Momo had one of the best bodies you've seen in any woman, and for her to be grinding her assets on you, it was never not ineffective.
You moved your hands out from her back, soon feeling her body rub up against you in unison with her hip movements and Momo threw her arms behind your neck, allowing you to feel her slender fingers on the backside of your neck as they enjoyed one last passionate kiss together.
She pulled their lips apart, moving her hands away from you while grinning.
===============SMUT START================
"I think we should get comfy~" She hinted, pushing her hands down onto your chest, Momo slowly moved up, her heels elevated onto the floor below with a soft touch.
"Can't say no to that."
"You can never say no to me anyway~"
She giggled as you began to remove your shirt and pulled it out from over your head and you were greeted with the sight of Momo's ass.
She had bent over, removing her shorts and shaking her hips to shake her ass.
Slowly to the left, then a fast pump to the right.
You shook your head with an amused smile as her hair swayed down her back and Momo moved her hands down to her hips.
Her shorts dropped from her hips down to her ankles, your eyes were set instantly on the black thong she wore.
She took one glance beyond her right shoulder, witnessing your eyes while stepping out of the shorts and turning around, crossing her hands, and holding the helm of her shirt, she pulled up to show her strapless black lace bra while throwing the shirt somewhere.
You leaned up, hands on the side of your Onee-san's hips, roaming your fingertips down her sides and bringing her back onto you as you felt her plump ass shove down into your crotch.
Momo wasted no time beginning to grind her hips down, rubbing her ass up and down with your erection poking up the front.
"God Momo..." You groaned as Momo's giggling voice caused you to breathe heavily as she continued to grind her hips and pump that ass back down into you.
"You'll be saying that more (YN)-kun~"
Your voice had elevated from the excitement at hand, swallowing your breath and began to slide your hands across her body.
The smoothness of her skin was felt beneath your fingertips as you took to feel her muscular stomach.
Momo moaned, still grinding her ass down into you.
"Mmmmm, someone's touchy~"
She made her demands and you didn't neglect Momo of what she desired at this moment.
As you moved your hands across her stomach, she moved her own hands to the straps of her bra and began to pull at it.
Watching her, you were greeted with the view of her pulling it to free her breasts as Momo dropped the bra down to the floor below, soon feeling your hands move over her breasts; her hard nipples rubbed against the palms of your hands and cooed to you as you gently squeezed her tits.
"Enjoying this~"
"Always~"
Hearing her words, you moved your lips to the right side of her neck.
Momo closed her eyes and then made one last series of movements by grinding her hips.
She could feel your cock sticking straight up through your pants, poking into her buttocks.
Taking a deep breath, Momo opened her eyes, still feeling you down below as you kissed and sucked on her neck, though Momo needed more.
She bent her knees, watching the expression change across your face as she brought your head between her tits, soon feeling her right hand roam across behind, her fingernails grazing through your hair.
You had moved your mouth to her right breast, shoving her nipple between your lips as you began to suck it.
As Momo moaned, she began to grind her hips back down into you.
"That's it (YN)~"
She bit down on her lower lip, softly purring her moans while caressing the back of your head with her hands.
Momo waited until you moved to her other boob and then she used her hands to squeeze her breasts into your face.
"Suck on my nipples (YN), bite them," she insisted, as she forced your hands off of her tits and used her hand to pull your head towards her left tit so you could suck on her large breast.
Who were you to complain?
You opened your mouth and started sucking on her hard nipple, Momo kept moaning as she felt her Otouto suck on her huge tit as if you were a baby.
"Mmmm oh yes~ That's it (YN)~" Momo moaned sexily with you now cupping the bottom half of her breast as you sucked on her left nipple and gave a strong squeeze to her tit-flesh.
Still grinding down into your crotch, she could barely take it for much longer.
Her desire grew stronger with each passing moment.
When you moved your head to the other breast, Momo cupped your cheeks against her palms, leaning down to kiss you passionately one last time.
She took a final moment to rub her ass up against your crotch, coming to a halt with grinding into your lap as their tongues danced together.
Once the kiss ended, she got back up from your lap and then fell to her knees below, feeling Momo's hands tugging at the lace strings to your pants (let's say pajama pants) loosen up.
Momo glanced up at your chest, grinning when she placed her hands back to the front of your pants, grabbed the helm, and slowly slid them down, letting the bulge sticking up finally release as she came in sight with your briefs.
Biting down on her lower lip, Momo squeezed your bulge and then moved her hand away.
She surprised you by getting up from her knees, hooking her thumbs down to the thong she was still wearing.
"I forgot to finish stripping. It's only fair I get naked too before I'm done taking your clothes off."
"I can't argue with that."
She winked back at you in response to your words, swaying her hips left and right, Momo leaned over a bit as she tugged her shorts down.
It didn't remain on her body for long, as Momo hooked her thumbs at the sides and shoved it down to reveal her dripping wet pussy.
Freshly shaved without a single hair in sight of those beautiful pink folds.
Stepping her feet out of the thong and shorts below, Momo stood in front of you for a moment, moving her hands to her breasts, squeezing them as she gave a nude pose to you, all before dropping back down to her knees.
No words were needed from her voice, as Momo seemed prepared and truly ready to get down to the business of lust at hand.
Grabbing the front of your underwear, she tugged it down, watching as your cock flopped freely across your skin.
You witnessed Momo licking her lips in clear anticipation of this moment.
As she tugged your underwear down to your ankles, you leaned up and carefully pulled your feet free from them while she wrapped her right-hand fingers around your semi-erect pole.
Momo wasted no time beginning to stroke it, moving her hand up and down.
"I don't have to remind you that your cock is all mine Otouto~"
"Yes it is dear Onee-san."
No disagreement whatsoever from you.
You stared down into her big brown eyes as her hand continued to jerk your rod up and down.
Momo parted her pink lips, revealing her gritted teeth while giving you an expression of absolute hunger and your cock had grown from the touch of her hand, rising in thickness and reaching full length.
Sliding her hand down to the base, Momo smirked up at you before gazing her sight back onto your pole awaiting her mouth.
"Mmm~ nice and big. Just the way I like it."
You exhaled, taking a deep breath now as Momo parted her lips and slid your cock right between them.
She squeezed her fingers around your pole, using her left hand to drop down and caress your nut sack as she began to slowly suck her way down the first few inches.
Swallowing your breath, you moaned out to her but didn't utter any words.
There was nothing you could say to ruin a moment like this.
Momo took her time, slowly bobbing her head up and down.
She pulled her lips back to the head, making a popping sound as she released your cock, but only momentarily.
With a quick stroke of her hand, Momo went back down on it; this time, she began to bob her head in sync with her hand stroking from the base of your cock upward.
Her fingers met with her lips in sync, giving you the pleasure of her hand and mouth simultaneously.
GULP
GULP
GULP
Her mouth began to quickly make slobbering and sucking noises while you bit down on your lower lip as a way of preventing yourself from crying out in pleasure.
You wanted to play strong for her as you were left at the mercy of her oral talents.
Stopping the movement of her hand, Momo pulled her hand away and then used both hands to push down into your legs.
All you could do was rest your back against the cushion of the couch as she began to bob her head up and down your cock, sucking it deeper with each passing second.
Her efforts paid off as Momo was able to get her lips down to the base and shove the head of your shaft to the back of her throat.
GULP
GULP
GULP
"Oh my fucking god..."
Finally breaking the silence between breathing and moaning, you cried out to her in words of pleasure.
Momo devoured your cock, inch by inch sucking it down.
Pulling her lips back to the head, she released it again with a popping sound, saliva strings dangled from her open mouth back to your cock as Momo gripped your shaft with her right hand, flicking her tongue and then spitting on the head.
"You like that~"
Her voice was low and seductive in asking her question.
You nodded back at her.
"Can't complain."
With a grin and licking her tongue again, Momo spat on your dick once more and shoved her lips up to the head, kissing it, and then used her tongue to glide down the underside of your shaft, moving her hand away to lick it.
Once she reached the base, Momo wrapped her fingers back around that pole as she began to pay special attention to your balls below.
Squeezing your nuts with her left hand, her tongue licked over them and she stuffed one into her mouth and your toes curled at the sensation.
You leaned up in a desperate attempt to catch a better view of your Onee-san slobbering all over your balls.
"Damn it feels good~"
Calling out to her in excitement, you bit down on your lower lip again, softly moaning.
You soon heard the slobbering and sucking noises as Momo loudly sucked them while her right hand wanked your cock up and down, easily gliding across your saliva-soaked shaft.
You dropped your lower lip as you felt such blissful pleasure at this very moment.
"Ohhhhh, fuck..."
As you moaned out to her once more, Momo pulled her mouth away, releasing your balls from her lips.
She leaned back up, gazing up at your face with her devious eyes.
"Put your hands on my head and fuck my mouth~"
And that you did, hands now on the back of your sister's head.
Momo closed her eyes, just as she felt you push her head back down; her lips sealed around your long dick and she began to suck on it once more.
'Mmmmmmmm', she softly purred a muffled voice against your shaft.
You began to slowly buck your hips forward while holding her head in place, taking control as you fucked her mouth.
"Oh god...!"
"MMMMMMMMMM-GWAH-GWAK-GWAK-GWAK-KWAH-GWAH"
Her mouth began to create a fusion of sucking and slobbering noises as you slowly fucked her oral hole.
Back and forth, you rocked her lips while your cock pushed in and out.
"MMMM-GWAH-KWAH-GWAK-GWAK-GWAK-KWAH-GWAH."
Strings of saliva began to dangle down from the corners of her lips as you pushed her head all the way down, forcing her to devour every inch of his long pole.
As Momo's mouth pushed down to the base, you moaned while holding her there; listening to her mouth, gagging after a few seconds.
GWAH-KWAH-GWAK-GWAK-GWAK-KWAH-GWAH."
Momo's eyes watered up while her left hand was shoved down her thighs, playing with her pussy while sucking your cock.
At the rate she was going, you feared she would end up forcing you to blow your load in her mouth in the passing minutes.
She knew you wouldn't be able to hold back long so she tapped your thighs as you felt and stopped your movements to release her.
She breathed in relief while long ropes of saliva dangled from your cock back to her mouth while Momo looked back into your eyes while catching her breath.
"You okay?" You asked while your cock was twitching.
"Mh-hm,"
Momo smirked, reaching out with her right hand to grab your cock once more, and began to wank it up and down as she replied.
"I'd say my mouth had enough, I think it's my tit's turn to have fun no?"
"Hehe, whatever you want."
Her soothing voice was enough to motivate your cock to react with a pulse, pretty much aching at her touch again while Momo bit down on her lower lip, quirking her eyebrows at you.
You rested your hands over the cushions as you watched Momo grab her breasts and hold them up.
As she moved them on both sides, she reached her hand out to shove your dick between them.
Her eyes gazed into your long pole, starring directly into the head while she squeezed her tits around it and began to slowly pump them up and down.
You let out a slight moan as you watched your sister begin to fuck you with her breasts.
This was what any man, even the most innocent, would have wanted from k-pop idols like Momo.
They'd be lying if they had no interest.
Momo had a body that rivels supermodels and her chest was without a doubt one of the best in the k-pop industry, even outside of it too.
And to sit here while one of the greatest pair of tits in the world was wrapped around your dick, you couldn't ask for a better time.
"Fuck Momo..."
Momo concentrated, licking her lips she pumped them up and down slowly.
Since she was in control at the moment, she wanted to go slow so you could enjoy every second of her beautiful valley of breasts.
Her breasts were so big that your cock disappeared between them.
Only the head poked up.
Over and over, she slowly pumped them up and down, listening to you moan.
She leaned her head down, gazing at your cock between the folds and spitting on the head.
"How close are you?"
"Really fucking close."
"Well, then go ahead and finish yourself off~"
You wasted no time beginning to buck your hips, thrusting your cock between her breasts while Momo chuckled at your increase of speed, gazing up to see the expression of pleasure across your face.
Dropping her lower lip, she let out another moan as she called to you in a low, slutty voice.
"Fuck my titties (YN)-kun, hmmm~ how does it feel to fuck your sister's boobs~"
Letting out a grunt, you tried to maintain control over yourself.
Momo squeezed her tits harder around your shaft, never once breaking eye contact as she had made a true attempt to drive you wild with her lust while panting as she felt every inch of your cock pumping up and down between her tits.
"I want to cum (YN)-kun~ cum for your naughty Onee-san~"
Hearing your sexy sister's talking dirty made you go further in lust.
You started thrusting back and forth, the friction of her big breasts getting tighter around your cock, it was indescribable.
Momo made sure to keep a firm pressure on her Otouto's cock, watching your face in full lust, and your cock head popping out from her soft, warm, mounds every time you trusted forward.
You moved your right hand to her shoulder, locking her down in place as you bucked your hips as hard as you could.
She had you right where she wanted you, under her control by using her body.
Momo lowered her head and began to flick her tongue across the head of your shaft each time it poked up between her tits and the cherry on top with Momo starting to suck the head of your shaft when it poked back up.
Every time you thrust forward, Momo kept licking the head of your cock with her all; fucking her tits with force, making Momo's big tits bounce and jiggle like waves in the ocean.
You kept doing this until the head of your cock was engulfed by your sister's soft red lips, into her warm wet mouth.
Momo was sucking you away, towards your mind-blowing orgasm.
"Ugh...Momo I'm about to-fuck!" You yelled as you felt that feeling in your cock and balls that you were about to go.
"That's good (YN)-kun~ Give me my reward~" She said, still keeping her firm grip on her breast as her she let the head of her brother's cock out of her mouth, as you were ready to burst.
She could feel your body tensing up, just as you breathed in hard and and explode you did, the first shot of his incest cum shot into the back of her wide-open mouth, the hot cum running down her throat.
'Mmmmmm', a muffled moan could be heard from her mouth as Momo drained your balls.
She could taste wad after wad, flowing into her mouth as your sister just sucked on your dick harder.
She could hear you taking in a deep breath and moaning out as she milked your cock to the final drops.
You came to a complete halt, watching as her eyes looked up at you with a look on her face still of pure lustful hunger.
She released it from her mouth with a pop sound and Momo leaned up, opening her mouth to reveal to you your white seed drenched in saliva.
She then closed her lips and loudly swallowed it before moaning.
"Hmm~ you came a lot (YN)-kun hehe~ almost drowned me~ and you're still hard~ Ara ara (YN)-kun~ your energy is impressive~"
You didn't respond as you caught your breath while Momo grinned.
"Now, it's time for some real fucking. No wasting time."
Shoving her body up against you, Momo threw her arms around your neck and began to kiss you passionately.
You responded by wrapping your arms around her back, slowly sliding your fingers down to grab at her ass cheeks, not caring where her mouth just was or consumed.
Upon feeling your hands digging in, squeezing her plump cheeks, Momo moaned into your mouth and when the kiss ended, she looked back at you and moved her hands, promptly shoving you to sit back down as she wasted no time straddling you.
She bent her knees after grabbing your cock with both hands, holding it forward so she could properly line herself up and come down on it.
You attempted to help her by moving the palms of your hands beneath her ass cheeks, but it didn't matter once Momo was ready.
She gazed down into your face and noticed that you were too busy staring down at her tits.
That was enough to convince her of the next move, as she slammed herself down and sent your cock up inside of her pussy with a loud gasp.
"Ohhhhhh!"
"Hmmm!"
You began to buck your hips, pumping your cock into her pussy while Momo moved her hands to your shoulders to help herself up.
Tumblr media
She wanted to bounce for you, her huge tits were already jiggling around.
Phhhhp-Phhhhp-Phhhhp-Phhhhp-Phhhhp
Within a few seconds, the sound of your balls slapping up against her ass could be heard as she pumped herself down into the rhythm of you bucking your hips.
Momo closed her eyes, arching her head back as she moaned.
"Ohhhhhh, yeah! Fuck me Otouto!"
That beautiful long brown hair began to wave around while her breasts bounced back and forth.
Momo's pussy hammered down on your cock to the point you were forced to move your hands down to her ass.
Phhhhp-Phhhhp-Phhhhp-Phhhhp-Phhhhp
She arched her body forward, moving one hand to the back of your neck as she pushed your head down to where her boobs could crash over your face.
You pushed your lips out to her right nipple, beginning to suckle back and forth to each nipple as your mouth created various slurping and slobbering sounds.
"Mmmm~"
Momo moaned as she felt her brother's hard cock pumping into her blazing pussy, her lone nipple cold from your saliva with the other being devoured as you took all you could in your mouth.
Her fingers clenched into your shoulders; this was her moment, as Momo was determined now to ride your cock; her brother's cock.
"Hmph! Oh fuck!"
Phhhhp-Phhhhp-Phhhhp-Phhhhp-Phhhhp
Her voice rose in pitch as she bit down on her lower lip, feeling your cock thrust and throttle into her pussy with the way she rolled her hips.
"Fuck me! Fuck me!"
Momo shoved you back on the couch from her breasts, leaning your right hand down below as you began to buck your hips forward in an attempt to help her as they were now locked in the act of fucking Momo gasped before coming to a halt, her hair swaying and her breasts beginning to shake as she allowed you to take over.
Phhhhp-Phhhhp-Phhhhp-Phhhhp-Phhhhp
"That's it! Fuck me Onee-san!"
Momo leaned down, rubbing her chest up against you now as you began to buck your hips harder and faster.
"Ohhhh, ohhhhhhhh yeah!"
"Oh shit...oh shit..."
Over and over, your cock pumped in and out of your sister's tight pussy and soon feeling Momo's lips pushing against yours.
A muffled sound was heard of her attempt to moan into your mouth as their tongues began to dance together, all while you continued to thrust your cock through her cunt.
Wrapping your arms around her, you began to move on the couch in an attempt to change the position.
Momo threw her arms around your neck, still kissing you as she began to roll on her right side and you found a way to stand up now.
As the kiss broke, Momo lay on her back, gazing up to see your face; your cock remained lodged inside of her but now in this position, you could look down at her perfect body while fucking her.
"Oh god! Fuck me, (YN)!!"
She cried out to you, begging now as Momo spread her legs and you soon seized them.
After arching her built legs over your shoulders, you began to buck your hips and thrust your cock into her needy pussy again.
Squealing in pleasure, Momo screamed to you.
Phhhhp-Phhhhp-Phhhhp-Phhhhp-Phhhhp
"Ohhhh, ohhhhhhh yeah!!"
Her breasts shook, bouncing with each thrust you sent into her until she moved her hands to catch them.
Momo squeezed her tits together, still looking up into your eyes as she felt your fingers around her calves, curling her toes up at the feeling of your hard cock pumping into her, inch by inch.
You continued, picking up the pace with each thrust.
Phhhhp-Phhhhp-Phhhhp-Phhhhp-Phhhhp
"Fuck me! Ohhhhh, FUCK ME!!"
To hear Momo scream those words to you, you almost couldn't control yourself.
You continued to thrust, listening to the sound of their bodies smacking together, studying your sister's beautiful body with each passing second; everything about her was perfection in the body of a woman in your mind.
Momo closed her eyes, moving her right hand down below to begin playing with her clit, pinching it between her fingers while using her left forearm beneath her breasts, tilting them up as her fingers twitched at her clit, Momo panted and moaned.
You knew not to stop, as you fucked her to the height of her pleasure.
Opening her eyes, she cried out to you and then screamed.
"FUCK ME! OHHHH, OHHHHHH, OHHHHHHH (YN)!! DON'T STOP!!"
Phhhhp-Phhhhp-Phhhhp-Phhhhp-Phhhhp
She curled her toes and her feet moving about, as that was only another clue for you you had nearly fucked her into a climax.
You grunted, trying to hold back yourself as Momo gasped and began panting.
She dropped her lower lip, gasping at the feeling of your hard cock still pounding into her pussy.
Her fingers furiously worked her clit back and forth as she suddenly pulled her left hand away from her body and then screamed to you in a high pitch shattering voice.
"FUCK!! OHHH, OHHHH, OHHHHHHHHHHH...GOD!!"
As Momo screamed in experience of her orgasm, slapping sounds could be heard of your nuts smacking up against her ass.
You still pumped your dick into her, all while moaning as she swallowed her breath as your balls slapped against the undersides of her ass as you continued to pump at your moderate pace, giving her inch after inch of your long shaft.
You didn't want to stop but the rush of your orgasm was fast approaching and on cue.
"Oh, god! Ohhhh god, I'm gonna cum!"
"No! I want you to cum on my face!"
Breathing heavily, you removed your cock as Momo adjusted herself to be facing to the right as she pushed the palms of her hands down into the cushion surface, lifting herself lightly being face to face with your cock.
You wrapped your fingers around your dick, jerking it back and forth with your right hand as you began to aim it down at her face.
"Are you gonna cum on my face Otouto~?"
"Fuck yeah...hmm~"
She closed her eyes and opened her mouth.
"Cum all over me (YN)~ Mmmmmmm, I want my Otouto's cum to drench my face~"
Moving directly under your cock, Momo closed her eyes after she spoke and parted her lips, audibly moaning 'ah' while you continued to wank your cock for this moment.
There wasn't much time to wait as you soon groaned and felt your explosion begin.
"Ohhhhhh, ohhhhhhh~"
Within just a few seconds she heard you moan and then felt a thick string of cum shoot up over the right side of her forehead, drenching her eye and down her cheek.
A thick string of cum shot from your cock, flying into the air like silly string, completely avoiding her face, instead landing into the left side of her hair, just above her ear.
You grunted, and watched the second wad of cum shoot out of your cock and land across her right eye, drenching her eyebrow up the temple of her forehead and down her cheek.
Momo giggled upon feeling the warm cum splash across her skin.
A third wad of cum came out of your dick, splashing into her closed right eyelid while Momo giggled again, sticking her tongue out in a desperate attempt to catch any droplets of your seed.
"Oh my god, Momo..."
A few drops rained down onto her forehead, followed by another sticky string that slathered her left eye and forehead and again, Momo giggled and kept her eyes closed.
She stuck her tongue out again but soon felt the last wad of cum fall directly onto the right side temple of her face, drenching her hair above.
As your spurts began to weaken into drops, he held his cock over her forehead to empty out the final drops.
You were out of breath and appeared spent and lowered the head of your cock to her lips, squeezing it to get the last remaining drops out.
Her face was a complete wreck in your hot seed, almost like layers of icing over a beautiful cake.
As you were finished, Momo slowly opened her eyes.
She blinked, feeling the cum in her eye lids while a few drops fell from her eye brows, somewhat disappointed she didn't catch a single drop from above and the last bit of your cum had to be squeezed out, rubbing your cock against her lips, watching Momo eagerly part them and suck it clean.
"Damn...fucking hell Momo..."
At a loss of words, you didn't know what to say while standing there and gazing down at her cum drenched face.
You were satisfied to know you managed to unload several spurts for her as Momo gasped after swallowing what few drops of your semen she sucked from your cock.
Raising both of her hands, she wiped the cum from her closed eyes and could finally open them and see again.
"Heh~ Glad we did it?" She asked with a shit-eating grin as you nodded.
"Very...much..."
"Well, you know it's kind of unfair that you got to cum twice and me once."
You downgraded to gentle breaths as you smiled.
"I'm guessing you want to change that?"
Momo smirked.
"Get on your knees and turn this way," she commanded as you didn't know what she wanted, but you kneeled and turned your body a bit to the left of her, facing probably 30 degree angle from Momo, "good, now lean your head back,"
You understood now.
With your head leaned back, Momo rose from her lying position, feeling the effects of your onslaught of her pussy, but she's hoping this will be a more softer touch.
Momo now stood in front of you, you were eye level of your sister's pussy and not wasting more time, Momo planted herself down onto your mouth.
"Go ahead~ eat out your Onee-san~"
Soon, Momo was sliding her pussy from your chin all the way up to your forehead, leaving you sticky with her fluids and letting them slide into your mouth.
"Lick me," she ordered.
You did as she said while she grounded her pussy against your face.
Her thrusts were forceful without being painful, and there was just enough time between them for you to breathe a little through your mouth, although it felt like her juices were all the way inside your nose.
"Oh that's it~ stick your tongue in there (YN)-kun~"
She seemed to be done lubricating your face and now kept her grinding over your tongue.
As she dumped more and more of her pre cum into your mouth, you alternated between lapping it up and sucking it out of her as she grew bolder, really fucking your tongue.
You licked her faster and faster, and moved your head from side to side, occasionally turning it altogether and biting her thighs so she could fuck the sides of your face again.
"No~ I didn't say do that~" She cooed and ultimately held your head down so you could only face her.
That was fine, you loved watching her titties bounce and collide into each other.
You could feel her muscles contract around your tongue as you licked her in just the right way, and her lips opening to let her wet juices out as you lapped at them, her face contorting in time with her gyrations and with the spasming of her cunt.
"That feels so good~" she moaned as she looked straight down at you.
She locked eyes with yours and you could see the pleasure in her eyes as you moaned straight back into her cunt, completely submissive to her desires.
"Ah (YN)-kun! I'm gonna come soon!" she exclaimed.
You moaned into her cunt approvingly as she rode faster and faster.
"I want you to latch your lips onto it when I cum! Don't you waste a single drop!"
Her attitude leapt between blissfully absent, dominant and an all out frenzy.
"Hmph~"
You moaned into her cunt again as she kept riding and her moans kept coming with more and more frequency.
You were in ecstasy.
She kept grinding and moaning, until finally her moans became quick and heavy.
"Fucking suck on it, ah!" she was arched over you and you latched your lips around hers, feeling as wads of her cum streamed into your mouth with the pulsations of her body.
Her nails digging into your scalp and gripping your hair.
"Ah yeah (YN)-kun! Oh my god that's ama-ohhh! Ahhhh..."
Her hips bucked, and she kept grinding away until her orgasm while you licked up the streams of cum.
"Hmmm~"
"Ohhh...Ohhhh..."
You relished the feeling of her cumming in your mouth, as what was a forceful grip on your hair turned into a caress between sighs and pants.
You swallowed all the juices of your sister in a quick pace, feeling drops on your chin as Momo twitched in her post orgasm sensitivity.
She seemed completely satisfied, and your sure she could tell you were too.
Half a minute passed and Momo slowly hopped off your mouth, looking to meet your gaze and her work as she brought a hand on your chin, collecting the leftover cum and then smoothing over her slit, feeling your work.
You saw her fingers moist and then pointed at your mouth with them.
Getting the hint, you opened your mouth as Momo inserted her fingers inside after.
You clenthed your lips around her fingers and Momo pulled away, leaving her fingers dryer as the remains of her juices were left in your mouth.
"Good boy..." she complimented and slowly sat on the couch, leaning back on the cusions, huffing from her orgasm.
You joined her on her left as Momo laid her head on her shoulder.
"Amazing work, Onee-san..."
You didn't respond, keeping quiet as you relished the aftermath of the sex with your sister.

As Momo laid on you, her eyes fixed on the desk with the scattered notes and laptop.
The dimly lit room was filled with an uneasy tension as Momo wanted close comfort.
The minutes ticked away, reminding her that their time together was drawing to a close.
You would be leaving in a day, and the thought of being separated from you weighed heavily on Momo's heart.
Even after getting your promise of staying, she still hated that you had to leave again.
"Aishiteimasu (YN)-kun," (I love you (YN)-kun) she announced as you turned to her sight.
"Soshite Momo-nee o aishiteimasu," (And I love you Momo-nee)
You two smiled at another as their energy was zapped by their actions as Momo started to close her eyes.

"Uhh...Momo..."
"Hmm?"
"I know we're tired, but I think we really need to wash these cushions asap."
Momo opened her eyes and looked down at the couch.
"Oh...uh oh..."

TIMESKIP
Sunday morning
THUMP...THUMP...CRANK...
"This is as far as we can go Momo. Sorry." You stated as Momo sighed.
Usually, the airport terminal was bustling with travelers and the hum of conversations, a symphony of goodbyes and reunions.
But not for a trio.
You and Momo sat in the back seat of your rental, as a manager drove them to the airport.
After picking up the girls from the cabin, you two informed them of how it was coming along and they were impressed at how much information you two received in a day, but there was much to do.
So after dropping them off at their dorm, you and Momo went to travel around to a couple more companies to discuss several notions and regulations, but seeing as they couldn't do much more, it was a few hours before returning to the dorm and spending the rest of Saturday with the girls.
Sadly, days go faster when fun happens and nighttime quickly came.
You, Momo, Jeongyeon, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Sana all slept in the living room after a long night of gaming and the rest in their rooms.
Morning came along and with you leaving early, only goodbyes were enough to have before you had to leave.
Saying a goodbye to each one, they bid you farewell as you, Momo and a manager of theirs went off with you and Momo in your rental car and their manager in a car behind to take Momo back when you drop off the car.
The sun was just beginning to cast long shadows across the highway and weighed heavily on Momo, who struggled to hide her sadness.
You tried to break the heavy silence that had settled in the car constantly during the ride, turning to Momo with a warm smile each time, your eyes filled with affection and then concern as Momo kept her eyes out the window.
CLICK
After parking in the free short-term parking lot for Momo to swap cars, her manager pulled up on the right of them.
You undid your seatbelt and turned to Momo, reached out, and gently patted her on the shoulder.
Momo turned to you; her silence spoke volumes, and it was a language you understood all too well.
Even with this plan in action, you two knew it wouldn't be simple to formulate something and deliver it to their parents.
This morning before heading off, you had to let Momo know that this could take a bit of more time to figure this out.
It wasn't enough for Momo, but at least it was something.
She was grateful for your efforts, but the reality of your departure was overwhelming and she managed a weak smile, nodding in understanding.
While the week they had was fun, a much-needed reunion, it was time for you to return home.
"Hopefully this will be the last time you return to Japan," Momo said as you smiled at her.
"Come here."
You raised your arms out and Momo unleashed her seatbelt as well and shifted into your hug, giving you a very tight embrace.
"Don't worry, it'll take maybe a week to get this sorted out and then I'll tell them. I'll tell you when I do okay?" You said to her, your arms around her as well.
"It better be a week," Momo complained as she lowered her grip and shifted her head away, your hands were now on her shoulders, "but I guess if it needs to be good, I'll give a week and one day."
"How charitable of you," Momo chuckled under you, but now it was time for the hard part.
If she was within her manager's sight, Momo would have given you a big kiss goodbye, but with her manager...damn she thought.
You two let the hug go slowly as Momo opened the door on her side.
Momo turned to you from her position as you looked at her.
"I love you," she stated.
"Love you more," you returned as Momo gave one final nod to you as you did the same and closed the passenger door and into the manager's car.
Getting in, she turned to see you driving off, deeper into the airport as Momo watched her brother until you disappeared from view, her heart heavy but filled with hope for their future.
She knew that this goodbye was just a temporary parting, and she held onto the promise that you had made.
"I know how difficult it is to say goodbye to family," she heard her manager as Momo nodded in your direction still, "but if it's any consolation, in our line of work, time passes very quickly and before you know it, he'll be back." Her manager attempted to bring some morale into her as Momo turned to him.
"I know. It's just sad to see him go."
"It always is. Ready?" He asked as Momo clicked her seatbelt and nodded slowly, her eyes turning to the airport as her manager proceeded to do a U-turn and leave the airport through the exit.
Tumblr media
'I hope everything goes well...I believe in you (YN)-kun,' was Momo's last thought as they left the area.
=================================================
AND THAT'S THAT!
So, yeah, this isn't the final chapter of Momo's story.
As I kept writing, I realized that the chapter felt so rushed and not enough detail to my liking so I went back to the beginning to re-write/add more details here and there and it got to me thinking that it was taking WAY too long to finish up while I got other works to do.
Originally was suppose to have 2 smuts, but decided to extend the first one to that and leave the second one with Part 4.
I have already part of Part 4 but I didn't want to release a semi-crappy/rushed ending. I want it to have feels and such so I decided to cut off from the ending here and go to work on Part 4.
Now hopefully some of you will see (YN)'s side of wanting to be a family again. It might not be what most of you would be thinking like Jeongyeon said, but being with them and working alongside them, a connection could be formed, even if it's not that close.
And it's not as if they abused or anything, they just ignored you both.
And now my plans going forward.
I won't be working on my ONESHOT book as I'll be focusing on my SMUT and COACH books now.
Smuts I have way too much to write and Coach I really want to progress.
I am sorry for the lateness of my writing, and I'm not making excuses, but I am lazy af and I was holding off on writing for a bit.
Plus, it's pretty difficult to make each story different from each other so I'm trying my best to make each one feel unique-ish.
Anyway, that's all I got to say.
Thanks for taking a pause in your life to reading this! Vote/Comment if you want and thanks again!

⋆౨ৎ˚⟡˖ I DON'T KNOW MUCH, BUT I KNOW I WANT YOU
pairing: Hiori Yo x [FEM!] Reader
genre: fluff, first crush, oneshot/drabble, hiori character study if you squint, classmates to lovers, pre-bluelock au, canon compliant
synopsis: hiori knows something is wrong with him when he can't focus during practice, or during games, or during anything really. he initially pins the blame on you, you're the only thing occupying his mind whenever he tries to do anything. karasu says hiori's got it bad (aka he's in love) but there's no way, ...right? (or in which our cyan haired prodigy tries to figure out his very obvious feelings for you, and karasu teases him like the amazing friend he is)
CW: mild language, potentially ooc hiori and karasu, mentions of toxic/controlling parents (I mean it's hiori what do you expect?)
Tumblr media
The whistle sounded, and the match came to an end, and Bambi Osaka Youth had...
Lost actually.
Normally Hiori would've been worried about his parents' reaction. How they would make sure he got even more practice than usual, and how his mother would put him on another excessive and controlling diet.
Normally Hiori would be dreading the walk back home, already feeling the disappointment radiating off of his father, even if they weren't present at the match itself. The fear that maybe today would be that day that his parents would stop loving him, the day where his facade would finally shatter. The day that he would finally fall off the thin tight rope that he had been clinging to his whole life.
But today, his thoughts were anything but normal.
The only thing plaguing his mind was you, some pretty girl that became his seatmate in school a few weeks ago.
He spotted you before heading to the change rooms with the rest of his teammates today, and his mind reverted to the dumb fantasies he always got whenever your were around.
They usually consisted of him holding your hand, giving you your favorite flowers, or sometimes they were just snapshots of you.
Your smile, your voice, anything and everything about you drove him crazy.
Not that he would ever admit it.
Hiori's developed a sixth sense to your presence, even during the short time that's he's known you. He doesn't know why, nor does he know the name of the feeling that makes his heart jump to his throat whenever he hears your laugh, but he's always certain whenever you're nearby.
He decided to risk a glance, and lo and behold, there you were, chatting with a friend about something. Your face lit up at something that she said, and you playfully swatted her arm in retaliation to something.
"It's rude ta' stare ya' know."
With a mere brush of shoulders, Hiori's attention was drawn away from you, and to his raven haired teammate instead. Karasu leans forward to get a better look at you, quickly analyzing your behaviour and mannerisms before turning back to his teammate.
"So that why you've been so distracted lately."
Karasu looked at Hiori with that shit-eating grin of his. That same face he always makes whenever he sees right through him. It was almost concerning how well his upperclassman seemed to know him.
"If ya' like her so much, you should just talk to her."
"I- I don't like her."
"Those starry eyes of yers' say otherwise."
Hiori looked away and tried his best to hide the red hue that spreads across his face. Of course there was no point in doing so since he was dealing with the ever-so-lovely Karasu Tabito, but he didn't need his teammates calling him out.
Not yet at least, he didn't even know what was going on in his own head, or heart for that matter.
Their coach called them over, everyone was about to be granted leave, the two of them walked over and positioned themselves next to the rest of the team, and coach went on about how they shouldn't slack off during practice or somethin'
Not that Hiori could care, seeing as how you were only a few meters away from him, some cheaply painted fence being the only thing standing in between the two of you.
Coach kept lecturing and scolding them, but Hiori's gaze kept wandering back to you.
Why were you here? Were you watching the game? Were you watching him? Did you like soccer? Had you watched his other games before? If you did, how has he not noticed yet? Maybe one of his teammates knew you personally. Wait- what if you were dating someone on the team?-
Hiori doesn't know why, but the thought of you being taken gives him a sinking feeling.
Suddenly he felt a blunt kick against his ankle. It's Karasu, of course.
"What the fu-"
"Not my fault yer' too busy ogling at her to concentrate, consider this a favour."
The older boy quickly cut him off before any crass language could fall from his lips, and Hiori's focus returned to whatever their coach was saying, but his superior's words simply entered one ear and exited the other.
His mind was still filled with thoughts of you, and only you, and when he saw you leave with your friend from the corner of his eye, he felt that same sinking feeling again.
When their coach finally dismissed them, Hiori was tempted to try and catch up with you, but he doesn't dare, Bambi Osaka lost, which was already enough to get a scolding from his parents, but coming home late? 'Cuz of a girl no less?
Yeah, he wasn't that reckless, even when it came to you
Though that same sinking feeling returns when he saw your figure slowly leave his vision, already missing your presence.
Apparently his gloom was evident, because the second he returned his focus back to his teammates once more, he was met with Karasu and that God forsaken look of his.
It was still incredibly concerning of how easy it was for his senior to pick him apart with a simple glance.
"She's gonna think yer' some creep if ya' keep staring at 'er like that."
"Shut up ya' stupid crow."
Karasu took a few steps forward, but slowed down his pace because he was waiting for Hiori to follow him. He had actually gotten the approval of his parents to take the train back home with Karasu. Hiori didn't know how, but he wasn't complaining.
The younger boy followed him, as they walked off the field with the rest of their team.
Everyone exchanged farewells before dispersing into their own groups, some walking home and others heading to a local convenience store or cafe to wind down.
And that left Hiori and Karasu to walk to the station, Karasu leading the way, and Hiori following him like a puppy.
The walk was silent for quite some time, the only prominent view being Karasu's back facing towards him.
Of course, Karasu couldn't keep that big mouth of his shut, and it seemed like today was no different.
"So what's she like?"
"What do ya mean?"
Karasu rolled his eyes and gave him an unimpressed look.
"That girl."
Hiori paused for a second, he actually didn't know that much about you, he thought you were really nice, and pretty, and you always lent him your stationary, even though you forgot it on some days. You even let him keep a turquoise glitter gel pen of yours since he seemed to like writing with them so much.
"It matches your eyes."
He distinctly remembers your words from a couple weeks ago, when your hands brushed as you gave him the pen, and the way you smiled when you pulled it out of your pencil case. The pen's ink was halfway finished but there was still a substantial amount left.
"Lemme know if you need another!"
He wouldn't admit it but he exclusively used that pen for all his assignments from that day forward.
Suddenly he heard Karasu clear his throat, snapping him out of his daydreams and back to reality.
"Uh, she's..."
Hiori paused once more, trying to think of a word that could actually do you justice.
"....nice?"
"So ya don't know anything about 'er other than the fact that yer' whipped for 'er?"
He was taken aback by the blunt statement, but it was true, other than the fact that he knew that you were nice, he didn't know much else about you.
"Must be one hell of a gal if she can get the attention of our local prodigy without tryin'"
Hiori playfully swatted his shoulder.
"I told ya not to call me that! But yeah, she is."
Maybe Hiori didn't know much about romance, or about you, but there was one thing he knew for sure.
If it came to you, he was willing to change that.
