Hola!
This is my first contribution to Wholesome Sonic and Tails Wednesday. I totally did not stay up until 2 am looking for an idea, nor did I wake up and 5:18 to write this, so don't worry! XD
You can read this on either AO3 or Wattpad
I hope everyone enjoys!!!
Movie Night
Sonic hummed pulling put a bunch of disks.

What movie would a 5 year old like?

He didn't want to put one of those baby movies, yet, at the same time, he knew he shouldn't put something too violent and/or un- child friendly...

Despite the fact that the same five year old fights roots on a daily basis, and technically is a genius, he knew that he still had the mind of a kid.

Maybe he should ask the kid what movie he likes?

Yeah... that seems like a good idea...

Though he did want to keep it a surprise...

Oh well...

They'll be watching it either way! No point of not asking.

Making up his mind, Sonic made his way to his little brother in a Sonic second.

"Hey Tails!" Sonic exclaimed, startling the poor little fox.

Tails turned himself to his caller, cocking his head to the side a bit in confusion. He put down the wrench and watch that was in his hand, and turned his full attention to the Hedgehog in front of him.

"Yes?" He asked, confused to why the elder needed him in the moment.

"How are ya bud? Working hard I see?" Sonic said rushinbto his brothers side, putting a hand over the other's shoulder.

"Uh, not really..." the younger admitted pulling at the ends of his gloves uncomfortably, "I'm just fixing Knuckles communicator, nothing big."

"Nothing big ya say? Really? Cause I know for a fact that I wouldn't be able to do half of the things your doing right now!" Sonic joked trying to ease the other's mood.

Sadly, however, that didn't work, as the younger of the two let out a small huff of laughter.

"Yeah... um- I'm not really in the, I guess, 'mood' for working on something to big, you know?" Taiks said looking down in slighht shame, before plastering a smile and looking at the other, " What about you? Do you need something?"

Despite not being pleased at the other's answer, the Hedgehog shaked his head and decided to answer the question.

"Yes, actually!" Sonic said, keeping note of how the younger's shoulder deflated slightly at his answer, "I was wondering what movie you liked."

Tails clearly wasn't not expecting that answer as his eyes widened at the answer and he let out a small "Huh?" in question.

"I asked what movies you liked?" Sonic said waiting patiently for the other's answer.

"Oh! Uh. I- uh- I don't know? Why?" Tails answered looking at the Hedgehog in front in slight confusion.

"Because I want to set up a movie night, of course!" Sonic replied with a smile, before frowning a bit, " What do you mean that you don't know? Who does then?"

"Uh... I don't know... no one?" At this point Tails looked as if he wanted to be anywhere, but there- which he did feel indeed.

"How do you not know what movie you like?" Sonic said, confusion seeping through his voice.

"I never- um... I never got to watch a movie before... but- uh- I don't mind watching whatever movie you like!" Tails said, finishing with a small smile.

Sonic frowned. Of course. That village didn't want to give the kit a place to sleep, nor something to eat. Of course they wouldn't give him the 'luxury' of watching a simple movie.

At that same though, Sonic wanted more than anything to speed back to the village and make all the people who made the cute, tiny fox's life living hell pay.

But he new better than to do that. He was a hero, and making then pay is illegal by law, sadly. (That didn't remove his urge of revenge though)

Sonic shook his head and plastered a smile on his face.

"Well that won't do!" He exclaimed, reaching out and throwing the young kit over his shoulder. The said kit gave out a scared squeak in reply (to which Sonic thought was adorable!).

"What are you doing?!" Tails asked kicking slightly at Sonic's chest, at the displeasure of being carried.

The Hedgehog in question only spared a wink.  "You'll see!"

When the two reached the living room (which didn't take long at all of course), Sonic dropped Tails on the couch, and rushed to bring supplies.

Not even a minute later, Tails found himself buried under a bunch of blankets and pillows, and the console table beside the couch was filled with chips and other junk.

Looking up at the Hedgehog smiling on top of him, Tails sent him a confused look, which was only replied by a wink from the other.

Sonic then flopped down beside Tails, placing a pillow behind him, before freeing Tails from the pile of blankets on top of him, and pulling Tails into his lap. He then covered the two of them in the blankets.

Tails looked up at his elder brother in confusion once more, opening his mouth to ask what was going on only to find that Sonic has put a finger on his mouth in a silencing manner.

"Get ready for your first movie night, little buddy!" Sonic said turning on the television and searching for a movie. "What?" Tails asked only to find one of Sonics fingers poking at him, and put back in a shushing manner on his lips. "Really, Tails? Hasn't anyone ever told you to not talk on a movie night?"

Tails eyes sprung up to live as he finally processed what the Hedgehog meant. He was going to watch his first movie...

"How about this movie?" Sonic said pointing at the screen with the remote.

Tails looked and saw the words Zootopia on the screen.

"Um, sure... if you want to?" Tails said hesitantly, not wanting to make the older one watch something he doesn't like.

"Good! I haven't watched this either, you know? Heard its a kids classic, though!" Sonic said pressing play.

"Hey! I'm not a kid!" Tails complained, only to find a finger back at his mouth and to heara quick "shush!" from Sonic.

Tails huffed slightly, however turned his attention to the screen filled with colours.

By the end of the movie the two layed asleep draping on each other, as the ending credits went on.

To Tails, the movie was amazing and magical. He has never seen anything like it (quit literally) and adored the way the animation was displayed. The movie was currently the fox's favorite (and only) movie he ever watched.

To Sonic, on the other hand, the movie was boring as hell, only watching it throughly due to Tails liking of the movie. That doesn't mean that he didn't complain nor question the things that happened in the movie.

("They are wearing clothes! Look! They are wearing clothes! Look at him! He's wearing pants! How is he alive?!")

Overall, the movie night was a success as the two snored softly, snuggling to each other. There was no doubt that this wouldn't be the first time...

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Itadori probably met you when you were with Fushiguro during the mission when you both were trying to collect one of Sukuna’s fingers from his school - and we all know what happened…
And he probably realises you and Gojo are siblings when the sorcerer arrives - probably the eyes, isn’t it?
His first impression of you is that you are really kind and a bit on the cheekier side - the slight opposite of Fushiguro - he also thinks that you are really beautiful and will have a little tint of pink upon his cheeks.
The way he will express his feelings for you is by always hanging out with you in a cheerful manner - probably more cheerful than he is now.
Like you know how he is with Gojo - chaotic - but like imagine that with you but a tiny bit more, he is basically a whole star when you both are together.
Gojo will notice quite early on about his change in energy but thinks it’s just him being friendly at first - until he realises….
He will always invite you into his dorm for movie or games nights because why not? - to be honest, it’s actually quite fun.
Best be known, there will be multiple snacks on the table like crisps/chips, popcorn, sweets/candy, fizzy drinks/soda and much more.
When you are training together, he always goes a little gentler with you even though you are basically on the same level as Gojo - because you and Gojo are just a power duo periodt.
Also during the time frame when you presumed that he was ‘dead’, Itadori would always ask how you are to Gojo and that got the teacher a little more suspicious.
Now with all this combined evidence, this is when Gojo realises that his student Itadori Yuji has a crush on you and he is somewhat conflicted.
Number one: Itadori is the vessel of Sukuna and even though he knows that you could defend yourself against the special curse - since you are a Gojo - he is still your protective older brother at the end of the day.
Number two: he knows that Itadori is a good person in heart and at the end of the day, Gojo knows that his student will try his best not to hurt you - he just can’t risk it since he doesn’t know if Itadori has made a pact with the curse (lowkey he knows, just doesn’t know the content behind it)
Gojo will try his best to try to not intervene in the beginning and if you gain feelings for the Sendai country boy, he will allow you to continue pursuing your feelings but he is still careful - but know that your brother will tease you for basically dating 2 people.
Tumblr media
You and Fushiguro first met when both of you were children since Gojo introduced you to him the second he found the kid - because he basically gave you the task of watching over him meaning going to his middle school and just helping him (he was just lazy)
Of course, it takes a while for you both to warm up to each other but over time, you and Fushiguro become really close to one another.
Fushiguro’s feelings probably also processed as time went along since you were always by his side since at a young age - like a slow burn you could say, he is just a tiny oblivious to his feelings.
Once he realises that he has a crush on you, he would act normal…..just don’t stare at him for like 1 second because he will blush and look away.
He is overprotective of you - may be more than Gojo - and even though he knows that you can defend yourself, he will sometimes send Nue to pick you up out of nowhere.
Like imagine, you are fighting a curse and the second it thinks it has an opening (but you already figured out how to attack it) you are suddenly in the air with claws hooking the collar of your school jacket.
Sometimes his divine dogs will stand in front of you just because Fushiguro told them to be - like you take one step forward, they will copy you and if you take one step back, don’t be surprised when they do the same.
Fushiguro will always keep an eye out on you like he would stand right by your side before you even notice and sometimes you could feel a stare but just don’t know who it is - what a liar Y/N, you know Megumi is looking at you~
Sometimes when you smile, laugh or just tease him (it’s within the Gojo blood, just deal with it) he would get annoyed a bit but once you turn away, his lips are curved up into a small smile - Gojo will notice this very quickly.
Ever since you two met, Gojo HAS been trying to set you guys up because he is Gojo Satoru and will continuously embarrass you both just to get a reaction out of you and Fushiguro.
However, once your older brother finds out his shikigami user student has a little HUGE crush on his younger sister, it is game over for Fushiguro.
“Megumi~ shoot your shot! There is nothing to be scared of, I bet my sister has feelings for you too~”
Gojo will use this information to blackmail him, 100%
Overall, once again, Gojo will be conflicted because he will love to have Fushiguro as brother-in-law so he can annoy/tease him more but you're his younger sister - and he will in his mind say ‘why would you fall in love with a dry guy?’

ok i saw this cap of zoë kravitz in hf and she's got such a dreamy expression, she looks so deeply self-absorbed and infatuated by whatever she's imagining and those lines. and i couldn't stop picturing billy exactly like that for days so,
,
There’s a pretty unusual sound coming off the house when Max comes back home, that summer afternoon.
Full volume. Walls shaking. And she quietly walks to the source of the sound, holding back her breath right in front of Billy's room because, there's this second sound? Stranger and way more unsettling and Max's not sure-sure at first but then Steve Perry’s voice takes off and Billy’s follows it and then he's like, singing along and. Well. Max did know Billy liked Journey but not like, their 'stuff for pussies' but uhm, he does, apparently. Rasps his voice all the way through ‘Faithfully’. Kind of, sighs. Longingly? When it ends? But pfff, ok, big brothers are weird. Definitely weirder after being possessed and then kind of resurrected. Even if it's in a good-weird way but, whatever. So Max's just about to sneak to her room, dutifully rolling her eyes, steps muffled by the first chords of 'Edge of the blade' when―
Click. Click. Billy stops the tape. Click. Takes it out. Tap. Tap. Click. Puts on― Billy puts. On,
Heaven.
Bryan Adams’ Heaven.
And Max―
Being a younger sister is a meticulous kind of full-time, private detective job. You gotta learn how the person you’ve been watching so carefully for years and years works. Hafta develop some sort of―sense about your target. And Billy’s been—un-Billy-like? These past two months. Smiling more. Telling more jokes. Playing ‘You shook me all night long’ in a loop on their drive to school and back, not complaining at all but even joining when’s Max who can’t help but sing along so.
So. She retraces her steps. Knocks. Takes the distracted grunt she gets as a ‘Yeahyeah, c’mon in c’mon in’ and,
Creak. Creak. ‘―baby you’re all that I want’
“Billy?”
Billy’s sitting cross-legged on the floor. Radio close to his knees. Cassettes scattered everywhere. Piles and piles of breakwater surrounding Billy’s old, rusty beacon of sound. He’s reading through the song-list of one of the tapes, a smoke locked on the corner of his mouth, bouncing up and down with every little, absent suck he takes, and he looks. He looks―
Self-absorbed and even. Relaxed. Happy. Like whatever he’s thinking about right now is actually carrying his thoughts away to fucking heaven.
“Ehh”
“Uh-hu?”
‘When you’re lying here in my arms!’
“Billy are you. What―” ‘I'm findin' it hard to believe. We're in heaven’ “What are you doing?”
But there’s this orbit around the sun and then there’s whatever one Billy's been spinning along with the last couple of months so he completely ignores her question. Shakes the tape on his left hand. Picks another one from the pile on his right. Asks her.
“Is Billy Ocean too much? ‘Cause I think it’s too much. But it kind of fits into what I'm trying to say so” he says, shrugs, looking up at Max and waiting for the answer of what she realizes was not really a question. Not at all. So she does her little sister job and just, nods “Right. That’s good. I think it’ll slide just nicely into Bruce Springsteen and―”
“Billy” Max insists, waiting for the charm of the third time to work. It doesn’t. Not really. But keeps Billy's eyes on her long enough to squeeze an “A mixtape?” And, uh. That’s what gets it on. The charm “Are you making a mixtape?”
“Uh?”
And it’s like Max just shook Billy out of a daydream. Ash plopping down from his cigarette as his lips try but can’t purse and Max― she’s good. She’s stellar at this detective thing. Recognizes an opening the moment she sees it, right there in front of her, frozen in the middle of shaking Billy Ocean and Bruce Springsteen in the air right before cocktailing them together. Shaken, not stirred, please. Max’s upgraded to James Bond-level just right now.
“You’re making a mixtape for someone”
“Oh-nonoMaxi―”
“But you didn’t have those tapes before. Not even in your secret stash”
“How do yo―?”
“Holy. ShIT. You’ve been listening to somebody else’s music” This is. Oh, God. This. Is. GOLD. Max gotta take a moment. Blink. Breathe. Process. Her hands move by themselves, palms spread toward Billy in a wait-a-minute kind of gesture except. Max’s gonna need way more than a minute for this “You’ve accepted a music recommendation”
“Maaaaax”
“Gosh, you’ve even listened to the tapes enough to. Make―”
“Max!”
“I just can’t believe it”
And Max was glad. Well. As glad as one can be. Bunch weeks ago. Her mom and Neil out for the day. Coming back home a little earlier than she usually does to hear those ugh. Those other noises. Happy screams. Again. After months and months of Billy being basically alone except for her and the party and Steve. And Max’s so glad, of course she is. But she’s also a little sister. And all this investigation work has a high, rightful purpose.
Make her big brother’s life a living. Hell.
“Oh my god, you must be so gone!” Max brings her hands to her mouth. Takes a deep, deep breath that’s more a poorly restrained giggle. Shoots her index at him “Is it Bon Jovi? What I’m seeing right there? Goddam, Billy are you in lo―”
Bam.
Bam. Bam!
The front door.
What a way to spoil the fun. Max doesn’t have time for this. She’s working.
“BILLY?” comes a voice from the other side “Billy are you in there?”
Steve.
Oh.
What a way to make the fun a hundred times better.
Bam.Bam.Bam!
She’s starting to move to get to the door, sinsonging “Well, I guess Steve’s gonna find out you’re so stupid in love you’re willingly listening to―” when she realizes Billy’s eyes have widened and he’s jerkingly trying to unfreeze, he’s mumbling something in around his already extinguished cigarette in the ways of “Can’t” and “Find out” and “Surprise” and “Fucking help me!” While literally trying to shove the huge mass of tapes under his bed, his tone like hurryhurryhurry!, like he would start gagging and throwing his lungs out at any given minute, so nervous he looks.
So Max doesn’t go for the door. Yet. She basks in the enjoyment.
“Oh, is it a secret romance or something?” She sighs happily, leaning against the doorframe instead. “‘Cause you look pretty worried”
Steve’s banging the door now, voice wavering a little as he asks-shouts “Billy? Billy answer me! Hey, bab―Are you ok?”
“Max, please” Billy begs. Begs. Crawling over to where a Madonna’s Like a virgin is laying with the tape looping slightly out “He really can’t find out”
“What? That you’re in lo-o-oh-oh-OH―”
Billy stops at the tone, right there on his knees. Spits his forgotten cig to the side. And in the instant it seems to take him to make up his mind they both can hear Steve shout “Ok. I know you’re in there!. I’m coming in now!!”
“Fuck! Yeah. I am. Ok?” he looks like he just realized he’s tripped. Blushes. “Making it, I mean”
BAM!
And Ohhhhhhh.
Zero-fucking-zero-fucking-seven.
“Steve,” Max gasps. Because. Hear it makes it like. Easier. To process “You. And Steve”
B A M!
“Yeah, Max, Yeah. And this is a fucking surprise and he’s gonna―”
‘I've been waitin' for so long. For somethin' to arrive. For love to come along’
Ok. Oh. Okok.
“Door!” Max hastens him.
“What?”
“You. Door. Run!” She commands, and Billy― sometimes Max can’t honestly understand how he's got the grades he's got, because Billy blinks, looks clueless “C’mon slow ass. Hurry! I’ll hide all this shit”
And Billy finally gets it. Nods. Slow. Then fast. Stumbles up. Literally runs, to get to the door.
Max still gets to hear his labored “Fuck, pretty boy. “That was really hardcore of you. That's how bad you wanted to see me?” And Steve's own breathless “Really?” Before pushing Billy's room door close with her back, and kneeling on the floor to check for stray, incriminating cassettes.
Pretty boy. Maybe Max isn't as clever as she thought she is. Or hasn’t been doing her job right, clearly.
It's when she’s making ‘It’s a kind of magic’ disappear into the rest of the pile that she lays eyes on it. The case. The J-card written almost all the way down to the B-side already. A mixture of songs Billy's heard so many times there are parts where his tapes screech, and others she'd bet her life he wouldn’t have deigned to listen to. Not ever. Definitely not because―no, for, somebody. Bowie and Cher and Cindy Lauper and Bob Seger right next to Metallica and Guns n' Roses and Meatloaf and― there. There. Almost hidden in the back of the spine. A note. A tiny, thin-lettered thing Max really, really shouldn't be reading but―
‘Thanks for driving me back.
Love. Billy’
But. That's what little sisters do too, she guesses. Intrude. Annoy. Snoop. Feel this sudden rush of relief. Of happiness. When Billy laughs softly, on the other side of the door. When Steve laughs back. Maybe a tear. Or two. But just maybe. She’s really good at this little sister thing, after all.
Hopes for stellar.
,
or: that post s3 where steve lets a camaro-less billy drive him around in his own car "really? again, hargrove?" almost every single day, for months, after he comes back, because "you’re gonna perpetually stick yourself to my ass at least let me do the one thing that frikin’ calms me down" which results in steve resigning himself to deejaying in the shotgun even if "jesus, what's that shit, harrington?" "my car, my rules, sweetheart" which results in billy developing a ‘songs steve harrington is in love with’ mental playlist, realizing he’s probably a little bit in love with the way he loves them and, possibly, a little much love with steve and then stealing steve's tapes one day and,
making a mixtape about it.
(the first of a whole lot, of love letters)

Past Encounter
Tumblr media
Inside of the train, Clayton was sitting back with his phone in his hand. He was texting his mother, who he was on the way of meeting at the next station in Nevada. 'R u almost here? I can't wait to see you again, my little cowboy!🤠' 'Moooom It's a 4 hour ride over there. n pls dont call me that, I'm not 7 anymore!' 'Lol I know, I'm just so happy 2 see you! I cant wait for you to tell me all the exciting stories you have from college!' Clayton felt his heart sink slightly at that text. He didn't exactly have the courage to tell her he dropped out a while ago. Sure, he got a job someplace soon after, but it still made him weary about his mother's reaction... 24 years old, college dropout, trying to figure his life together... Clayton sighed and leaned back, covering his face. "...Something the matter?" He heard a voice next to him. He moved his hands and saw a woman sitting beside him. He saw that her hair covered her eyes and her stomach showed that she was expecting. "A-Ah... No, A-Ah'm fine, ma'am..." "Your face shows the opposite..." He looked at her hair-covered eyes, then sighed, giving up rather quickly and spilling out his story to this woman he just met. "Well... My ma's expectin' me to come home 'n tell 'er 'bout my college. Well... Ah kinda gave up halfway... Ah wasn't gettin' good grades, ah kept gettin' pushed around the other students, 'n just, I-it was too much fer me..." The woman stares. "Ah... I apologize..." She looked down at her lap and put her hands neatly together, staying quiet. "...I can understand how it's like. Being pushed around... The most I can tell you is not let it get to you... Fight back, if you must." Clayton sighed. "Ah wish it was that simple, Ma'am... But, ah don't enjoy conflict... A-Ah usually run from fights rather than git into 'em." He couldn't help but chuckle. "Ah never thought a gal like you would even consider fightin'." "What's that supposed to mean?" Her voice turned cold and hard rather quick, making him flinch. "Ah, n-nothin'- N-Nevermind..." This reaction caused the woman to let out a small "hm". She only had a smile for about a second, before returning to her emotionless state. Clayton wanted to try and make things less awkward, so he switched the topics. "S-So, uh... I see yer expectin'... Is it a boy or gal?" She looked at him. "I'm not sure... I wanted to keep it a secret. Sort of surprise myself, I guess..." "And who's the lucky fella, huh? Heheh, Ah'll guess he's real happy about bein' a dad, eh?" Uh oh. That earned a very negative look from the woman. She had a look that mixed between sadness and slight anger. "...He's dead." She said, looking away from Clayton. Fuck. That was a horrible question... Clayton was in disbelief and grief as he stared at her. "O-Oh... Oh my God, A-Ah'm so sorry, madam... I-I-" "It's fine. You didn't know." Clayton gulped, feeling real shitty. He didn't know, yeah but that didn't stop him from feeling God-awful about it. She looked at Clayton and put her hand on his knee to try and reassure him. "Really, it's fine... Don't beat yourself up over it." She finally gave a teeny smile to try and cheer him up. Clayton smiled back, feeling himself slowly feel a tiny bit better. "Say, uh... What's yer name, miss?" She stared at him, then told him her name. "Ah... That's a pretty name." He smiled. "And you?" "Clayton..." "Clayton? Man, the accent and the name are rather southern." He laughed quietly. "Yeah, Ah uh, My parents 're actually from Texas. They came over 'ere to visit me so Ah'm comin' over to the station to git 'em 'n bring 'em back." "That's nice... Have any siblings?" "Mhm. Ah got my lil' sis who's visitin' too. What about you?" "I have a slightly younger brother and sister. Both massive pains in my ass." She laughed. Clayton was slightly shocked at the language, but chuckled. "Yeahh... But, siblin's are meant to be that way. 'Specially lil' ones." "Ohh yes..." The two laughed and spoke to each other for the rest of the ride, sharing stories, laughing over jokes and
just overall having a nice time. There was even an instance she moved her hair, showing him her eyes. One was brown, the other was a green color. She laughed as Clayton was just in pure shock and awe about her eyes. Saying they were so 'cool' and 'pretty' even. The emotionless state she was in washed away and became much more lighter and full of joy. She was even amazed by the golden fang-like tooth in his mouth and he smiled big, making her chuckle more at the sight. The hours passed and it had gotten to their stop and the mysterious woman looked over. "Ah, already...? Shame... I was having a good time talking..." "Yeahh..." Clayton frowned. It was sad to leave his new friend. The two got up and walked out of the station, about to go their separate ways. The soon-to-be-mother looked at Clayton and smiled. "I'm sure we'll see each other again? Who knows, maybe one day we can talk over some coffee. My treat, yeah?" "Ah'd like that alot..." She smiled and gently hugged him, before walking away. Clayton saw his parents and little sister sitting at one of the benches outside. He ended up managing to push his fear aside for now and give a big grin, going over and hugging his family.

Piece of cake 🎂; Yang Jeongin
Genre: Fluff! Friends to lovers au!
Warnings: mild swearing
Word count: 2.8k
A/N: Happy Birthday to our cute maknae Innie, he has grown so much. I’m beyond proud of him, he’s such a beautiful soul I wish nothing but happiness for him. I’m so soft for this boy I’m legit crying.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were all gathered in the living room.
The four boys standing in front of you staring at each other with confused looks. There was a moment of silence before you snapped at them in annoyance. There was no way they could be any more stupid.
"Do I really have to explained it to you again you doofuses" You raised an eyebrow in disbelief at the sight of the obvious lack of understanding your friends had. Seungmin just moved his hands encouraging you to repeat the plan one more time. You took a deep breath, before continuing, "For the last time, Hyunjin is in charge of distracting jeongin, until we finish decorating" The boy nodded in agreement, he understood his role was probably the most important one, " Felix I need your lungs to blow those balloons" You pointed at the table covered with bags with deflated balloons. "Seungmin and I are in charge of baking the cake" He smiled in excitement. " And I think that's it, simple right, it's a piece of cake"
Someone cleared his throat behind you, clearly irritated at the fact that you didn't assigned him an important task like the others.
" What about me Y/N, what am I supposed to do" He said pouting.
" Jisung you have the most important part" You said reassuring.
" Which is?" He asked euphoric. Clapping his hands.
" Stay here and make sure to not open your huge ass mouth, I promise your contribution is the most helpful one" You said smiling sarcastically. " If anyone dares to ruin this surprise I swear for my life I'll haunt every single one of you in your sleep for the rest of your miserable lives, and you would see what's to live a nightmare with your eyes open, understood" A few scared whispers and some sighs at the end they all came to agreement. Working together as a team to give the youngest, undeniably the best surprise party, needless to say this was carefully planned by you over the course of the last few weeks.
Everyone left, not before settling that Hyunjin would come back exactly at 6 with Jeongin, therefore everything had to be ready before that.
You got into Seungmin's car, he turned on the radio, letting you choose the next song, you both sang along to Taeyon's spark, on the way to the supermarket.
" Get a shopping cart we need to pick up a few things" You said to him, as you entered the local market. Pulling up a list from your bag with all the items needed.
He got the cart and followed you behind like a puppy, through the aisles, helping you pick now and then when you were torn between certain brands.
"So should we make it a chocolate cake or a vanilla cake?" You asked him staring at the two boxes in each one of your hands.
" That's such a simple question Y/N, Chocolate superior" He said looking at you obvious.
"Alright, alright Chef Seungmin let's do chocolate" You said throwing the box into the cart. " Ohhh" you exclaimed fascinated. "We have to get this" You pointed, jumping in the excitement at the cute cake toppers. "Jeongin is going to love the tiny fox sprinkles" You smiled at the resemblance between your best friend and the furry animal.
" You are so whipped Y/N" Seungmin said teasingly.
"Shut up, he's like a little brother to me" You stared at your shoes trying to hide the blush creeping into your soft cheeks.
"Not so little, remember he literally just became an adult today" Seungmin was right. Jeongin was just a year younger than the rest of you, that's why your group tended to baby him the most, and he hated it so much. Now that he was all grown up you wondered if his attitude would change towards your antics.
Once you finished shopping. Seungmin and you went back to the house. You got the groceries from the trunk carrying all the bags, with your hands full, you struggled finding the key to open the door.
"Call Jisung and tell him to move his lazy ass from the couch so he can come and help us"
You heard him comply through the phone but in less than a second the door opened revealing your friend who still looked half asleep.
" Don't stare just stare at me, help me carry these" You said handing him the heavy bags that were already leaving bruises on your wrists.
"Did you guys went to buy cake ingredients or the whole grocery store" He said complaining at the amount of things you got.
" I got a little carried away okay" You confessed taking your shoes off at the door and walking straight to the kitchen.
Seungmin got ingredients from the bags and laid them on top of the kitchen table. You got the molds and the mixer from one of the cabinets, and tied your apron from your waist.
"Crack two eggs" You signaled Seungmin, as you poured the batter into the mixing bowl.
You were spraying the molds with butter so Seungmin could pour the batter and it wouldn't stick to the bottom once the cake was completely cooked. When your phone in your back pocket began to vibrate. You decided to ignore it, since you were extremely focused on your task. But after a couple of more rings you couldn't bear with the annoying sound any longer.
You picked up right away. Not before telling Seungmin to put the molds inside the oven.
"Hyunjin why are you fucking calling me right now " you leaned over the counter trying to wipe off your apron that was covered on white flour and sugar.
"He's been sulking all day Y/N, I even took him to the amusement park but he seems so down is actually depressing, He literally just said to me "This would actually be fun if Y/N would've come with me and not you" I'm deeply hurt, never imagined he thought of me as your replacement" He sighed dramatically.
" Just deal with it, you can have another of your existential crisis later" You rolled your eyes at your dramatic friend.
"Can you at least call him? he's just acting so weird, he just told me he wants to come home I don't know what to do" He whispered nervously.
"I'm trying to bake a cake hyunjin I can't give him a call right now" You said clearly. " But you are talking to me right now and the cake doesn't seem to be stopping you from doing it" He backfired.
" Ugh you are so annoying, maybe I can't call him because I'm busy and my hands and covered in flour and, Seungmin Lower down the temperature I can smell something burning!!!" You yelled. "I don't know hyunjin, keep him occupied, after all is your job, you better not come any earlier than we accorded. I’m warning you, I got to go" you said ending the call abruptly. Rushing rapidly to the oven where smoke was starting to escape from the sides of it.
" Fuck Y/N I think we burned the cake" Seungmin said panicking.
"Oh you think so" You responded sarcastically. Trying to extinguish the smoke before the alarm went on.
You opened the oven only to see your chocolate cake, all spilled, dark carbon colored batter dripping from the mold.
" Why you said we would bake the cake, if you had never done it before, don't just blame it on me!" He yelled back at you.
"Maybe I just wanted to do something nice for my fucking best friend, Seungmin"  You replied infuriated at the boy's words.
You walked away trying to not lose your calm "everything it's okay Y/N just take a deep breath" you whispered to yourself.
Your three friends standing in front of you not wanting to say anything, terrified to even move an inch knowing you could break down at any moment.
" Felix those balloons are not going to blow themselves!" You exclaimed.
" You ate the snacks I left on the table, didn't you, I told you earlier those were for later" You pointed at Jisung who only raised his hands innocently.
You were frustrated to say the least, overwhelmed,
Tired, you wanted to cry, the perfect party for your best friend was a complete utter disaster. You looked at the clock half an hour until Hyunjin brings jeongin back. You stepped out of to house because you began to feel suffocated. You needed some air. In desperation you remembered the person who was always one call away.
You dialed the number hoping he would pick up the phone, he was always busy working on his studio, so you didn't actually expected for him to pick up after the first tone, you were surprised when he did.
"Hey Baby girl"
"Chan" You whined at him.
" What's wrong?" He asked concerned.
" I need your help" You said.
" I'm all ears" He laughed softly. Chan was your supportive friend. He took care of you since he was older, he was always there when you needed him.
You ranted the catastrophe of your failing attempt of birthday party.
" Can you please bring me a cute cake? Jeongin might be on his way and I can't let him have a burned piece of uncooked batter for his birthday" You asked, hoping not to disturb him too much, knowing how busy he was most of the time working on his new tracks.
" Sure thing baby girl, I was heading out either way, I can't come empty handed" He said and you sighed in relief feeling like that heavy weight was lifted from your shoulders.
" You are the best Channie, I'll see you in a bit" You said your goodbyes and ended the call, you were extremely grateful towards him.
You opened the door entering the house. Your friends gathered looking at you with concerned expressions. The three of them instantly running towards you, the minute you crossed the doorstep, wrapping you in a group hug.
" We are sorry Y/N" They said unison.
"We know you've been under so much stress trying to make everything perfect" Seungmin said apologetic.
"And your stupid friends have ruined it all" Felix added teary eyed.
" We'll make it up to you, Let's get to work we have to give Innie the best birthday party ever" Jisung encouraged all of you to stop being so emotional and get on top of your game.
With you basically running out of time. You all began to work at a unquestionably high speed. Felix blowing balloons like crazy. Seungmin cleaning the mess in the kitchen. Jisung restocking the snacks and the drinks. And you dusting off the living the room. Everyone was so focused that no one even listened when the bell rang. Until you stopped the vacuum.
You opened the door, Chan was standing there smiling so bright, showing his dimples, you almost jumped on top of him if it wasn't because the cake he was holding with both of his hands was in the way.
"Channie, I've missed you so much" You said clinging yourself to his back.
" It's been a long time baby girl"
The boys immediately stopped what they were doing to come greet their brother.
" Chan mate you finally came to visit us" Felix said hugging the other Aussie.
" I wish I could come more often but this college life man, it ain't easy plus I've been working on some songs with Changbin" He said looking for Jisung, turning to talk to him directly. " We can't wait for you to graduate, without you we can't be 3racha"
" Just a couple more months, It's going to be awesome man, the trio reunited again" Jisung said with the eyes filled with excitement.
Chan helped you decorate with a couple of party decoration supplies he brought. You looked around one last time. Unable to contain the tears at the sight of how everything came together at the end. Proud of yourself and you also had to credit the hard work your dumb but amazing friends.
An upcoming text brightened the screen of your phone. It was hyunjin announcing that they were 5 minutes away from arriving. That was your cute, You all went to hide in different spots, after turning off all the lights. You headed directly to the kitchen and grabbed the cake, crouching behind the counter.
The house was dead silent until you heard the sound of the key clashing into the lock. The door opening slowly.
“Why is it so dark in here?” Hyunjin said playing along while pretending to looking for the light switch.
“ Wait I thought you said Y/N was not home, why are her shoes here?” Jeongin asked confused, with certain affliction in his voice.
“ Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday dear Innie, Happy birthday to you” You sang as you made your way towards him. The cake lighted up by the incandescent light from the single candle placed in the center.
The rest of your friends joined you while screaming
“SURPRISE”
Jeongin was loss for words, his cheeks stained by the beautiful tears that were sliding carefully. Like an open faucet, unable to control them. He smiled through them. Flashing his indistinguishable pearly white teeth. Alluring dimples. Stars that flashed on those sparkly eye pools as he stared directly at you. Like you were the only thing he was able to see in that dim room.
He closed his eyes and blew the candle wishing for something his heart desired for so long.
Everyone clapped and congratulate the boy who was no longer a baby but now a man. Hyunjin turned on the lights and you all gathered at the table to eat.
As you were walking to the dinning room, someone softly pulled from your sleeve.
Your eyes instantly meeting with his.
lost in his angelic aura.
You had been crushing on the boy for long enough
That you truly wanted to impress him with this whole surprise party idea. It seemed like your planned worked at perfection when he wrapped you in his arms.
“No one had ever done something like this for me, thank you so much Y/N” He whispered into the crook of your neck. The proximity making your limbs froze and your skin tingled due to the warmth he provided.
“ It’s nothing, Im glad you liked it Jeonginnie” You replied with a loving smile.
“ You know I was mad at you all day” He laughed bittersweet.
“Sorry for missing on riding the Ferris wheel with you” You said making fun of him.
“ I actually wanted to ride it with you instead of being stuck there with Mr. Dramatic for 45 minutes” a sigh escaping from his pink soft lips.
“ Is it because he becomes all clingy as it goes up, he’s such a scary cat” Laughing at the memory of hyunjin clinging into your arm like his life depended on it, the last time you all went to the amusement park.
“ That and because I hoped to hold your hand” He said staring into your eyes, trying to tell you something, but you were unable to read through the lines.
“ You do that all of the time Innie” It was not a novelty the amount of skin ship you and your best friend had.
“ You can’t possible be any more dense Y/N” He spoke a little irritated at your ignorance.
Your friend was rather shy, this sudden confidence had you all bewildered.
“ I like you, you idiot” He said obvious, tired of hinting something that was crystal clear.
“ You what...?” You were puzzled, your jaw almost hitting the floor in disbelief.
“ I know we’ve been friends for such a long time but I be always seen you in another light, will you let me be the one who holds your hand forever?” He asked extending his hand to grab yours softly, sliding his palm on top of yours and intertwining fingers.
“ Yes” You whispered hiding your face in his chest “I’ve liked you since the first time I saw you”
He untangled your hands to grab your jaw softly, so you would look at him, Bodies shaking, an adrenaline rush, and fireworks exploding the moment he laid his lips on top of your, delicate and with such sincerity, a kiss that revealed the profound innocent love they had one for the other.
“ Best birthday ever” He said stealing one more peck at your lips. He became addicted to the taste.
“ It was a piece of cake” You winked at him. “ For your information Seungmin burned your original cake, The one I baked with so much love”
“ Oh that’s why it smells like barbecue” He said. Both of you exploding into laughter. “ At least you didn’t burned down the house, I need to keep you as far away from the kitchen as possible sweetheart”

Dresses & Things
Tumblr media
(( Warning: transphobia – it’s vague, but it’s there. Hyacinth is referred to as a ‘he’ only because at this point in the story she hasn’t figured herself out yet. After this write, she/her pronouns are used. ))
“Haven’t ye outgrown dresses yet, Cinthie?”
Gelert, the gardener’s son, gave a skeptical glance to the youngest son of their lord Delacroix, who was peering down at himself with owlish purple eyes. Tiny fingers picked nervously at the front of the bright blue dress he was in, full of lacey bits that went above his ankles. The boys were ten and eight respectively, playing under the shade of a great oak by the back of the garden.
Hyacinth peered with his large, downturned eyes up at Gelert, giving the older boy an immediate pang of guilt: “…I’m not pretty?” Hyacinth gnawed on his lower lip. “I…Iris made this for me…”
“No,” Gelert backtracked, rolling his eyes. “Ye very pretty–don’t cry, ye ninny, hush up.” Dirt-caked hands from working by his da this morning plapped at the younger Elezen’s cheeks, who was already beginning to sniffle. Truth be told, he was just irritated that Hyacinth got nice clothes; the lowborn Hyur was always left to his dirty overalls, except on days to worship the Twelve or at funerals. Hyacinth always got to wear pretty things, even if dresses for boys were only for when they were toddlers.
He did look cute. It was annoying.
“If ye cry,” Gelert grumbled, still mushing Hyacinth’s sad-eyed face until he had fish lips, “then your hellion of an older brother is gonna blame me and m'gonna get walloped by him.”
Hyacinth tried to appear sorry, pulling at Gelert’s hands, but it was a futile effort when his upset feelings were breaking into a small smile. “Last time was because you burned my books.”
“You don’t even like those books!"
"They were decorum books and Missus Abernathy had me punished cause she thought I was lying.”
Gelert frowned. And then he released Hyacinth’s face, who goodnaturedly rubbed at the dirt now flecked on the chubby, pale cheeks. “Yea, I'm…sorry about that part.”
Hyacinth lifted his shoulders, oblivious and happy to use a gesture that would send that wicked Mrs Abernathy into fits. “It’s okay. But that’s why Jack got mad at you.”
“Yea, well, your brother is a demon.” Gelert rubbed the back of his head, his hair as brown as the dirt he got into it. He glanced to the nearby garden maze walls, to the flower beds he had just worked on in preparation for the trellis the Viscountess desired to have there. When the jingle of mithril links and heavy boots suddenly struck his ears, however, he snapped his attention back to Hyacinth and began shoving him behind the tree.
“Get, get!"
"Wh…Wha?” Hyacinth was back to that owlish look, confused. And not moving nearly fast enough behind the tree for Gelert’s liking.
“Sir Bastille is here, ninny, he’ll–"
An Elezen man, straight-backed in worn but well-kept chain mail, suddenly appeared around the outside of the hedge maze with a severe gaze, the same silver as his hair.
"Master Hyacinth,” his voice drawled, sharp and low like the drag of a sword being drawn. His eyes snapped to Gelert, who tensed beneath it with an untrusting leer of his own; he was, after all, what stood between the man and the second son of the manor’s lord. “Cowering behind the gardener’s son, when you should be in the Green Hall for your fencing lessons. How predictable.”
Hyacinth shrank behind his friend, clutching at his shirt sleeve and shaking like a leaf. The older Elezen terrified him, his judgments as swift as the punishing lashes and hits he gave to the boy when his form was poor. “A…Apologies, Ser Bastille. I–"
"Pray,” interjected the man, who flapped his hand dismissively towards the manor behind him. “Cease your excuses for your distractions with the servants. Your lessons began an hour ago. The spoiled child that you are, you have forgotten them in favor of rolling in the dirt with commoner ilk.”
Ear tips and eyes burning, Hyacinth ducked his head. Gelert was sneering at the Ser, who deigned not even to glance again at the boy as he spoke of him as if he was trash. He looked at Hyacinth as the boy gave a small hiccup sound, but Hyacinth released Gelert, hurrying in a wide berth around Ser Bastille.
“Yes, Ser Bastille,” mumbled in fear and pain the scared young lord, disappearing around the hedge. Gelert didn’t imagine or miss the look of disgust as Ser Bastille caught the last bit of blue lace before it was gone. His hands closed into fists as the older gentleman of Ishgard sniffed and finally gave actual regard to the tall boy.
“You’d do best to remember your place, boy.”
Gelert was always getting in trouble for his mouth. His da, calm and gentle man that he was, laughed and blamed his mother, Twelve rests her soul. It was hard to control it, but he did around the lord and lady of the house because they were good nobles. And he controlled it around their demon of an heir, because of the walloping the man would deliver should he be overheard. For that, the boy nearly respected the infamous Jacques ‘Jack’ Delacroix.
This Ser Bastille was just a chevalier, a 'noble’ as common as him but with years in active service to rise him in status. He might be a friend to the lord of the manor, but to the loyal servants, he was no one. And yet–
“Playing games with a second son,” the gentleman continued, tongue lashing, “who is meant for the clergy or knighthood, when he has some proper discipline and ceases being such a sniveling runt in those ridiculous dresses–"
And yet–
”–Twelve help us if anything should happen to our lord’s son, though that is quite within the realm of possibility with his carriage racing and the disreputable bastards he takes up with. Gods preserve, the Viscount does humor his spoiled sons.“
The man turned his back to Gelert and he couldn’t take it anymore. He had to stick up for his lord, at the very least. A friend to his father when Gelert’s mom died. A good man who treated them fairly.
And Hyacinth just wanted to wear the dress his sister had made him.
Gelert opened his mouth–
"For fuck’s sake, old man, I’m trying to nurse a hells’ damned hangover here, and your peevish voice is like the cloy of a rake’s fornications with a chalkboard.”
–and then Gelert closed his mouth, perplexed. That wasn’t his voice. That sounded like the voice before a thrashing from the Viscount’s son.
And indeed, apparently, it was the Viscount’s son who had spoken. Or rather, growled. He was suddenly there a yalm or two away in the stone alcove at the edge of the garden, with leaves sticking out of his thick, curly black hair and a black scowl painted on his dark face. The Duskwight noble, a gangly teenager of already imposing height, straightened the lapel of his jacket while the man of martial teachings visibly reeled at the surprise of being caught venting his vexations. Gelert had the pleasure of watching the accursed old man sputter stiffly on apologies, but kept his eye on Jack. Who knew what the mad son of Delacroix’s name would do?
No sooner had Gelert had an inkling to keep an eye on Jack, Jack acted. Those long legs deftly leaped over the stone edge of the tiny sitting area and Gelert moved just in time from the lord son’s wake to miss being trampled by the prowling march to Ser Bastille. The man of military leaned back with a bitten back look of horror, as the taller youth grinned in his face, all teeth, and hissed at him in less-than-benign speech.
“But pray go on, Ser Bastille the loose-tongued, I seem to have caught you in the middle of beseeching the Twelve. What about dearest father and his milksops for sons, hm? What about his heir? HM?"
"N-Now, Master Delacroix, really, I–"
Jack lurched a few inches forward, teeth bared like a crocodile’s. "It’d be in your best interest, my dear chevalier, to keep your nasty little opinions to yourself. Perhaps pick on someone your own size and age, Ser Bastille, instead of picking on the children of the common ilk in the middle of the bloody garden like some drunken clout.”
Ser Bastille was visibly coloring. Gelert’s eyes were the size of dishes.
Jack jerked his chin, voice slipping soft. “It is mildly suggested, good Ser, that you vacate this garden while you still have a job, and are not still in the Brume where father found your sorry arse. Because father might be a forgiving, mild man, but I’m not one to hear tongue lashing about my dearest siblings in my presence, and you know bloody well what happened to Violet’s last fiance to prove that.”
The color drained from Ser Bastille’s face. Gelert watched as the man muttered some horrified excuse to leave, then quickly turned on his heels. As he left, Jack held a hand to his mouth and called: “And if I find any more welts on my sweet little brother’s legs and arms, Ser, you’ll be packing your bags…and praying that the Brume is far enough from me.”
Ser Bastille was quickly gone. Gelert, eyes now on Jack, stood perfectly still as the older young man held his hands on his hips and sneered at where the older man had disappeared. A few muttered curses later about the old 'windbag’ and Jack finally regarded Gelert, who gave an intelligent 'uh’.
Jack sniffed and gave an imposing point of his finger. “Don’t burn his books, sprout.”
“…Fine.” Gelert forced his shoulders to unstiffen, jaw jutting out at the older boy. He refused to show he was scared, even if he still did in his obvious suspicion of Jack, legs bunched and ready to bolt at a moment’s notice.
For his gall, he got a grin, brilliant white in the ash-grey face of the noble’s son. And then Jack sauntered out of the garden, whistling a bawdy bar tune under his breath.
Gelert waited for a bit in the garden. Then, instead of looking for his da like a good gardener’s son, he headed off for the window of the Green Hall’s room, to watch Hyacinth’s lessons. After all, where would he be without Gelert’s secret tips in the garden?

Market Boy pt.2
Tumblr media
Part 1
Words:
Warnings: Eating squid, Super Fluffy!Jungkook, Kissing
                           ____________________
Jungkook was currently in his shared apartment with his brother, he was currently getting ready for his date tonight.
"Hey do I look okay? Is it too much or too little?" He asked his older brother.
"I think you're freaking out way too much and definitely need to chill the heck out. You said it yourself that she's not the person to care about appearance so who cares?" he asked ruffling his fluffy hair.
"Yeah I guess you're right. By the way can I borrow some money? I don't get paid until the end of the week. Please I'll cover one of your shifts with no back talk" Jungkook begged him.
"Yeah, but don't spend it like a dumb ass okay? Buy her dinner and dessert and maybe buy her a cute bracelet or something, I don't know what you kids are into." He says handing him $50.
"Hyung this is perfect. Thank you so much for everything. I love you so much." Jungkook gave him a sloppy kiss on the cheek.
"Ew stop, get the hell out of here you weirdo" he said gently slapping the younger boy's face.
"I'll see you when I get back!" Jungkook announced as he left the house and began his walk to the market.
On the other side of town, you were also getting ready for your tonight. You did a double take before leaving your apartment, and making your way to the market. You also decided to walk there since it's not that far.
You stood by your shop as you waited for Jungkook to arrive. In all honesty you forgot what time he said he wanted to meet up, so you decided to stand there and wait for him.
"Hey Y/N! You're here a few minutes early" he commented and you checked the time on your phone.
"I guess I am a little early, huh?" You mentioned as you looked back at him in slight embarrassment.
"Let me guess, you forgot what time we were supposed to meet, so you decided to just wait here?" he asked.
"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't" You said crossing your arms.
"Okay yeah I did, you caught me, I'm guilty" You confessed chuckling a little.
"That's okay, you said it yourself that you weren't the best when it came to timing things." He nudged your shoulder.
You gently hit his arm and held his hand in yours.
"I don't know about you, but I'm pretty hungry and excited for some seafood." You told him as you began to swing your hands back and forth.
"Well then let's go get some food shall we?" He asked enthusiastically.
You let him lead the way to the seafood restaurant located in the back of the market.
"Oh look, it's the love birds of this place. We were wondering when you guys were coming to see us!" Stephen, the owner of the restaurant, exclaimed when he saw you and Jungkook walk inside.
"How did you know we were gonna be here tonight?" You asked walking over to a table and sitting down across from Jungkook.
"Jungkook's mother told me that you guys would pay us a visit, and that I needed to take good care of you and watch out for you" he said and you frowned.
"Does his mom not trust me?" you asked slightly offended.
"No, she trust you. It the little Kookie monster across from you that she doesn't trust." he commented and you laughed loudly and covered your mouth.
"What! I'm innocent and have done nothing wrong in at least a week!" he said crossing his arms.
"You are so cute when you're upset Kookie." You told him to try and tease him.
"Yeah, but you're cute all the time."He raised an eyebrow at you.
"Someone is feeling flirty I see." You raised an eyebrow back at him.
"I can't help it when I have a beautiful woman sitting right in front of me."
This boy is trying to kill me, you thought to yourself.
"What do you cutie pies want to drink?" Miranda, Stephen's wife, asked the two of you.
"I'll have a mango lemonade" You said smiling up at her.
"And I'll have a beer" Jungkook said full of confidence.
"I need to see your ID" she said smirking at him.
"On second thought, I think I will have coca-cola" he said smiling up at her.
"Smart choice" she said walking to the back.
"Trust me, beer isn't that good anyway" You told him looking at the different food items on the menu.
"I forget that you're older than me sometimes. How does it feel to be twenty-two years old?" he asked and you simply shrugged your shoulders.
"I'm older than I was last year, and I'm still the same old girl, so I feel the same. Nothing to be excited about" You told him honestly.
"And what can I get you two to eat?" she asked.
Jungkook perked up at the mention of food.
"Can I get the salmon sashimi and the tempura sushi please with lots of wasabi. Oh! And the white radish please on the side. I like the crunch" He smiled over at you waiting for you to order.
You looked at him in surprise. The only remotely Japanese food you knew about was fried calamari. Grabbing the menu you did your best.
"I uh. Can I get the shrimp o-ni-gi-ri and um the California Roll please" You closed the menu looking away from the both of them knowing you sounded like a complete fool.
Jungkook tilted his head looking at you confused.
Why is she so reclusive all of a sudden? Did I do something? He thought to himself in compete and utter confusion.
"If it helps I thought your pronunciation was kind of cute" he told you and you smiled while still covering your face in embarrassment.
"Oh come on, show me that pretty face that I've been waiting to see. I've wanted to take you on a date for months and now and you're covering your beautiful face. It makes me sad" he leaned over and moved your hands from your face.
"There you are" he mumbled looking at you with a look that you have never seen before.
"You are so beautiful to me." he said sitting back in his chair.
"Oh please, I'm sure the girls back home are a lot cuter than me" You told him as you sipped my lemonade.
"I mean, not to sound like an asshole or anything, but for the time that I was in Korea none of the girls there caught my eye like you did when I first saw you." He confessed and you nearly choked on your ice.
"Jungkook wow I um. I'm flattered. I don't know what to say. I've never had someone say such nice things like that to me before." You simply chuckled and played with your nails.
It's an annoying habit of yours that you have been waiting to die out for a while.
"You don't have to say anything until the end of our date." he said and you raised an eyebrow up at him in confusion.
"What does that mean?" You questioned.
"You shall see cutie pie. Look at that our food is here!" he announced as Stephen and Miranda brought you both some more food and refills for your almost empty glasses.
"This looks absolutely amazing!" You commented a little too loudly.
Luckily for you and Jungkook the restaurant was empty, well except for Jungkook, Stephen, Miranda and, well of course you. Which is oddly strange considering the fact that this place doesn't close until 9:00 and it's only 7:20.
"Do you want to try the tempura sushi?" he asked holding it up to you.
"I don't know, I'm not a big fan of wasabi" You told him and he frowned.
"Please for me? Just a tiny little bite. You won't regret it, I promise!"
Damn this boy really knows how to be convincing.
"Alright fine, just for you Jungkook." You leaned over and bit into the food and was actually surprised at the taste.
"Wow that's really- Jesus Christ that's spicy!" You exclaimed quickly drinking half of your lemonade again.
"I know and that's what makes it great!" he said smiling as he stuffed two pieces into his mouth.
"Jungkook I'm calling the police and telling them you tried to murder me." You jokingly mumbled fanning your mouth reaching for one of your own wasabi free sushi rolls.
"Well I'll just tell them that you attacked me first with your good looks!" he retorted back.
You threw a napkin at him and playfully crossed your arms in defeat. You don't know who this boy learned to flirt from, but damn he's good.
"You can't beat me no matter how hard you try Y/N, I'm always six steps ahead of you"
"I'll say two steps ahead. Six steps is taking it a little too far."
You said as you stole some of his salmon sashimi.
"It's juicy isn't it?" He questioned looking at you with hooded eyes smirking slightly taking another bite of his tempura.
"Jungkook I want to go home." You said jokingly.
"Alright, so then you're paying for the bill?" he asked grabbing his jacket and you swear that it took about seven angels to hold you back.
"No, I'm just kidding. Please don't hit me." he reached over and held your smaller hand and you playfully rolled your eyes.
"Very funny Jeon, very funny. You almost had me there" You said pointing your chopstick at him.
"Hypothetically though, if I did just so happen to lose my brothers money that he gave me, what would you do?" he asked and you got nervous again, once again you pray to Jesus almighty above that this better be another one of his silly tricks.
"Well obviously I would pay for the bill and have you take me on two more dates until I feel better." You answered and he pulled out the money smiling widely.
"Well thank God I didn't lose it" he chuckled and you shook my head.
Suddenly Stephen walked over with a bowl of something.
"Stephen why is something moving in that bowl?" You asked moving to the other side of the table behind Jungkook.
Before Stephen could answer Jungkook rushed over closer to the bowl pulling you along with him.
"Ojing-eo!" I haven't eaten this since my 13th birthday party. My dad had fished it up for me." He smiled fondly at the memory and took his chopsticks taking the squirming tentacles out putting a dollop of wasabi on it before stuffing it in his mouth.
"It still tastes amazing"
You didn't even know what to say or do. Stephen chuckled nervously scratching the back of his neck.
"You two have a good night"
He grabbed the bowl and turned on his heel walking back to the kitchen.
"Did I do something wrong?" Jungkook asked looking at me as he sucked up the rest of the tentacle into his mouth.
"Not necessarily, but I will say I also wasn't expecting to see that." You said trying to hold in your laugh.
"Do you want to try this?" He asked holding the tentacle up to you.
You stared at it as it moved before looking back at him and shaking your head.
"I would like to politely decline your offer if that's okay with you." You said picking up some more of your own food before eating it.
"I'm sorry, that was kind of gross wasn't it?" He blushed in embarrassment and looked down.
"Not gross, because it's a cultural thing, but very different. But if you enjoy it then who am I to judge." You smiled at him and wiped the side of his face with a napkin.
"Yeah, we are definitely going on another date in the future. You are perfect holy crap." He said.
All you could do was chuckle and nod in agreement.
Once the dinner was over, Jungkook paid Stephen, and the two of you left the restaurant.
"What do you want to do now?" He asked, taking your hand into his.
"Well it's not too late to get dessert." You guys stopped in the middle of the market and just held hands.
"I've got the perfect dessert right here in front of me." He said looking down at you.
You both went silent before you both burst into laughter.
"Yeah that was cringy and I apologize." He shook his head and sighed loudly.
"I'm the worst."
You took this as an opportunity to lean in and place your lips onto his waiting for a reaction from him. You relaxed when he wrapped his arms around you and kissed back slowly pulling you closer to him. The owners of the restaurant clapped behind you two and you pulled away from his lips and giggled.
"You got your salty tears in my mouth!" you exclaimed and he smirked at you
"Jungkook if you say anything remotely pervy I will slap you and not look back" you warned him pointing at him.
He just shrugged and leaned in this time taking the initiative to kiss you slowly gliding his tongue across your lower lip.
"Alright Jungkook that's enough! I know who your mother is and she would not be proud of you right now!" Stephen said and Jungkook kissed your lips again before pulling away but still holding you close to his chest.
"I had a lot of fun tonight Jungkook, I really did." you mumbled rubbing his cheek with your thumb.
"Good, because I planned on taking you out again this week, if it's okay with you." he said rubbing your back and you nodded your head.
Suddenly Thinking Out Loud  started playing and you two looked over to see Stephen and Miranda dancing in the middle of their shop. Jungkook stood back and bowed in front of you.
"Can I have this dance with a beautiful lady such as yourself?" He asked you and you curtsied him.
"Yes sir you may" you granted him permission and he walked back over and held your right hand in his and placed his left hand on your lower back.
"Tonight is truly like a fairy tale" you said
"The only thing we're missing is fireworks." he said and you both jumped at the sound of fireworks.
"Well what do you know?" He said and you both looked outside.
"Oh hey guys!" Namjoon, your neighbor, said waving at you guys from the outside of his shop
"Hey Namjoon" you and Jungkook said chuckling as you both looked at each other and finished the night with more dancing and kisses.

"It's been so nice, Punzie." Anna smiled to herself as she leaned against a tree. It was a little later in the evening, the kids passed off to the care of the older deans so the younger counselors could have the rest of the night to themselves. Elsa told Anna that she had to help in the cafeteria, so she wandered about in search of Rapunzel to keep her company. Having found her, they began to chat about recent events. "It really feels… like we're sisters again and it's been wonderful."
"That's so good to hear," Rapunzel glowed, laying a hand on Anna's arm. "I mean, yeah, I was pretty worried, but… wow. She really came around."
"She did." It was the perfect evening; warm but not hot, with just enough of a chill breeze to keep the bugs away without being too much. The sun hadn't begun to set just yet, so Anna was basking in the warmth of the rays, sighing and closing her eyes. Upon feeling her friend's hand on her arm, she opened her eyes with a grin. "So how did your phone call with Flynn go last night?"
Warming to the subject, she gushed, "Well… he says he's been wanting to kiss me for a while now. He was just afraid I wouldn't want to! So… so we're going to try it when camp is over." Her cheeks were bunching from the sheer force of her giddy grin.
"That's wonderful," Anna congratulated, pleased to see her friend so happy. "What are your plans after we're done here?"
"I just told you," she whispered conspiratorially, and they both giggled. "For serious, though… I'm in at NYU, but Flynn isn't, so I signed up for a local college for the first year. Like, New York would be cool, but being away from him would so not. A whole other country, y'know?"
"Yeah I feel you," Anna grinned. "I wouldn't want to leave my significant other, either. Heck, just thinking about being away from Elsa again after this upsets me! I don't know how you would be able to part with Flynn."
She didn't like thinking about that fact. In three weeks, she and Elsa would be separated again and even though Anna knew Elsa wouldn't ignore her anymore, the thought that her mother might pull another stunt made her heart clench painfully in her chest. She already felt like she was going through a withdrawal if she was away from Elsa for more than an hour; she didn't want to think about being an entire two day's journey away from her.
"Gosh… you really missed her, huh?" Rapunzel breathed in wonder. "I wish I had a sibling like that. Maybe… maybe you can go to the same university! Wouldn't that be the grooviest?"
Despite using a word like "grooviest", Anna perked up at the suggestion. "I didn't think about that," she said excitedly. "Punzie! You're a genius!" Sure, Anna would have to plan such a spontaneous decision but the more she thought about it, the more eager she grew until she was practically buzzing with excitement to tell Elsa the wonderful idea.
"Right! And I mean, I can tell you're super smart, so wherever Elsa's going, you can probably get into that school, or at least one of the ones nearby — like, don't all the major cities have a few unis?" Getting caught up in Anna's fervor, Rapunzel even hopped up and down a little, her tiny braids flopping all over. "Geeze Louise, I wish I could go to a school with a sibling! It's like having a built-in friend!"
"A built-in friend whose life goal is to be as annoying as possible." Anna smiled at Rapunzel's shared enthusiasm and it made her heart feel warm and pleasant as she relaxed more against the tree. It had been a long time since Anna had felt so content and happy, and she relished the feeling. "I'll think of something."
"Good, good," she replied with a wide grin. "And I dunno if you meant you or Elsa is 'annoying as possible,' but I hope it's not you! Since I kinda disagree."
"Thanks," Anna giggled, "but it's a two way street; as her sister I have permission to irritate her just as much as she does me." 'Not that Elsa could ever actually annoy me anymore…' She let out a blissful sigh.
"Do you, really?"
That wasn't Rapunzel talking. When Anna's eyes opened again, it was to see Elsa standing there, hands on hips and a playful smirk on her soft-looking lips. Anna grinned brightly up at her.
"Of course, that's how it works," she chirped, walking over to give Elsa a hug. "I thought you said you were busy? That didn't take very long."
"I was just setting something up." She nodded at Rapunzel and said, "Hey."
Rapunzel cleared her throat and waved. "H-hi. Um… so, you're Anna's sister? That's pretty cool."
"Yeah," Elsa snorted, and Rapunzel looked both relieved and chagrined at the same time. "It's the coolest. Do you mind if I borrow said sister for a little while? I have something I want to show her."
"Huh? Oh, sure, yeah! Go for it, do whatever!"
Anna tilted her head curiously and purposely ignored the horde of butterflies that suddenly invaded her stomach. "I'll talk to you later, Punzie," she said to her friend, though her eyes never left Elsa as she said it. "Don't do anything I wouldn't!"
"Oh, don't worry, I don't do anything," Rapunzel laughed with a little wave as the sisters moved off together.
Elsa wouldn't answer Anna's repeated questions as she led her across the campgrounds, a little way into the trees. She just pulled her along by her hand, ducking under branches and climbing over fallen logs, until she pulled her into a small clearing.
"Dinner is served," she breathed over her shoulder at Anna with a small smile.
The red-haired sister gasped at the picnic spread, forgiving Elsa instantly for the secrecy and unexpected hike at the sight of all the treats and delicious food scattered across the blanket. It was protected by a bug net, a nice bit of foresight that was so like Elsa that it made Anna's heart soar with love.
"How did you manage all this?" she asked.
"The pastors and camp directors adore me." Walking over to sit at the edge of the blanket, she quickly shucked her hiking boots before folding her legs under herself, facing the spread. Anna followed Elsa's lead, taking off her shoes before settling down across from her. The smell of the food was delightful and Anna's stomach growled loudly. "Didn't take much, and I worked with what they already had in the kitchens."
"Is this why you told me not to eat lunch?" she questioned her sister, taking in the beautiful view. There was an abundance of flowers in the meadow Elsa had chosen and from what Anna could tell, they would have a perfect view of the sun once it began to set. It was a beautiful sight and Anna's grin stretched all the wider. "This is so beautiful, Elsa, how on earth did you find this place?"
Smiling as she began to open a couple of the containers, she responded, "Stumbled across it last year. I'm… well, you might have noticed I don't spend a lot of time with the other counselors. Aurora and I have a grudging respect, but beyond that, everyone else steers clear." Realising she was complaining a lot, she let out a self-conscious little laugh. "S-sorry."
Anna tilted her head and smiled sympathetically. "Hey, it's okay." She rested her hand on Elsa's arm briefly. "I'm sorry you never got along with anyone… but you have me now." Then she pulled her hand away and chuckled awkwardly, the butterflies having intensified at the contact. Instead she focused on the food, taking a plate and starting to load it up. "This smells great, did you make it all?"
"Y-yes. You remember how good a cook Mama was. I know she was starting to teach both of us, but when… well, after that, I got all of the focus." Sitting another container close to Anna, she then said, "Where was I? Oh! I was just going to say that I had a lot of free time to walk around in the woods. Found this spot one weekend afternoon when I had nothing else to do."
"It's lovely," Anna said, placing her plate down once it was full and handing the second plate to Elsa. "All of this is wonderful, Elsa; thank you so much for sharing this with me."
Boldly, she leaned in and planted a kiss at the corner of Elsa's mouth, ignoring the way her whole body overheated and her mind screamed how inappropriate the gesture was. The blonde blinked in surprise, then smiled very shyly, staring down at her hands as the smile highlighted her pink cheeks.
"You're welcome. I just… I wanted to start making up for lost time."
Elsa was so cute and Anna beamed and blushed faintly at the bashful expression on her face. "Well then! Let's dig in!" she exclaimed, eager to dig into the food. The first bite made her hum in contentment. "Is this Mom's butter chicken recipe?" she asked in bliss. It was one of her favourite dishes as a child and the taste was almost identical to how she remembered it.
"You know it!" Elsa laughed, cheeks still tinged with pink as she began to fill her own plate. "That was the only thing that was hard to make happen, since they had to let me actually work in the kitchen instead of just taking a few things from the pantry."
It took all of her willpower not to devour the entire thing right then and there. Instead she forced herself to eat slowly, savouring every bite and enjoying the presence of her sister across from her. A few times, Anna had to hold back a soft noise as a particularly savoury morsel hit her tongue.
And Elsa spent a lot of time casting affectionate glances over at her as she more delicately consumed her own food. Shy and awkward as she was acting, she was clearly beyond thrilled to be there with her, and had gone to so much trouble to set up the picnic in the woods.
It was pleasant and there was even something kind of romantic about the whole thing — a private picnic in a beautiful clearing during a sunset. Anna watched as the rays of the dying sun bathed her sister in a glow, her hair looking especially brilliant under the golden rays. The same feeling that seized her at the beach overwhelmed her now, leaving her breathless and her thoughts reeling at just how breathtaking and wonderful Elsa was.
"I love you," slipped out before Anna could stop it.
Of course, all Elsa did was look up from her butter tart and smile serenely over at Anna. "I love you, too. What was that for?"
Anna blushed intensely. "I- I just thought you should know." She covered up the slip like it was intentional and gave Elsa a sheepish grin. "I mean- I need to catch up on all those times I missed the opportunity."
"Well, I can't argue with that logic." She took a bite of her tart, but she continued to watch Anna while she chewed. Then she gently prodded, "But I think there's more on your mind than just that."
"N-Nonsense," Anna chuckled nervously and took a bite of her meal, cursing herself inwardly; she needed to work harder on keeping those kinds of thoughts to herself. "I- I just missed you, that's all."
A playful smile flitted across Elsa's face. "I see. Then maybe I shouldn't sit so far away." Popping the rest of her dessert into her mouth, she brushed off her hands and moved a couple of things, then sat herself down a bare inch or two on Anna's left.
Her whole body tingled as Elsa settled down comfortably beside her, so close that their skin would brush when one of them breathed. Anna got a clear view of Elsa's slender throat as she swallowed the treat she had popped into her mouth, followed by what Anna's feverish brain could've sworn was a slightly flirty smile. It took Anna several seconds to remember how to breathe.
"T-This works," she managed to get out, nerve endings frazzled when Elsa placed a gentle hand on her arm.
"Are you sure everything's alright?" Elsa breathed, quietly, intimately from how close they were. "You still seem nervous, or distracted… something."
"D-Does it seem a little hot to you?" Anna asked, resisting the urge to fan herself as she avoided the question. Not because she was intentionally keeping things from Elsa but because she honestly didn't know why she was so nervous. It was a warzone in her head, part of her wanting to back off from her sister for space and the ability to regain her breath while the other wanted to pull Elsa closer still and never let her go.
'Why do I feel like this so often? Elsa's just being a big sister like I always wanted, but why am I always making it weird?'
"Maybe," the blonde whispered with a shy smile. Her clear blue eyes kept flicking between Anna's half-open, panting mouth and the rise and fall of her chest. An index finger that rested on Anna's forearm began to trace tiny circles, of its own accord. Then she chuckled and added in a faux-suggestive tone, "Or maybe it's just you, eh?"
That finger was being awfully distracting. Anna bit down hard on her lower lip and tried to keep her tremors to a minimum. She cleared her throat, the blush hot on her face. "Y-yeah, might just be me."
When she heard the way Anna spoke, saw the blush on her face, Elsa's smile began to fade. Her eyebrows knitted and she simply stared down at her, not moving away or flinching back. Curious and confused, and still impossibly near.
'God, she's even more beautiful up close.' Her large eyes were like the arctic glaciers, flecked with shades of an even lighter blue that were enchanting to stare into. Her flawless, snowy skin marred by a faint dusting of freckles across her adorable nose. The platinum hair Anna loved so much looked so soft and silky, and Anna wanted nothing more than to run her fingers through it. Every twitch of Elsa's muscles, every small breath and blink were noticeable.
Anna's eyes widened as the realization hit her like a ton of bricks. As all the confusion and conflict over the last week became crystal clear, even if the clarity brought her no peace.
'Fuck my stupid ass. I'm in love with Elsa.'
