The fact that “i will follow you into the dark” is on aziraphale’s playlist…. I’m.. I’m rolling in the grave.

Aziraphale will always want to protect Crowley. It’s been shown from the very start with him putting a wing over Crowley in the garden. He will subtly watch out for him from afar, scared that his role as an angel would drive them apart. Now that they have no side/their own side, he freely loves Crowley.

I especially love this song (not just bc i love death cab for cutie) because it’s from the view of someone so faithful to someone that heaven and hell couldn’t separate the two.

“If Heaven and Hell decide that they both are satisfied

Illuminate the no's on their vacancy signs

If there's no one beside you when your soul embarks

This line is pointing straight to how their on their own side, no matter what.

Another line i love that is so inherently them:

They have lived through all of the world together. I’ve seen many people speculating that the photo the GO prime account posted today with them sitting on the rock looking out to the sea could be a scene where they both realize how much they depend on each other. It could be a dark time for them where some sacrifices had to be made or one had to watch as the other was hurt, but in the end they still look out for the other as much as possible.

TLDR: this song fits aziraphale and their dynamic perfectly and I’m very excited for season two<3
