Day 27 - Supernova

This run, he'd be tasked with observing a star about to go supernova and gathering data on it.

They had been seeing this happen a lot lately, stars dying an early death that is. And as bizarre as it was, people started to become nervous that all the stars near them would burn out, and they'd be left without a power source. Which was kind of a crazy thing to think could happen, but the number of times they had to steer clear of a dying star as of late was a little more than they should have. Or a lot more.

This star, in particular, was still relatively safe to be near, but it was showing the early signs of burning out in the near future. And it really shouldn't have been. There was no reason for this star to do that at this stage, and yet there he was. Outside the ship with equipment and the expectations of his crew members to do something he was absolutely not qualified to do.

But there were only so many of them, and only so much time left to do things.

OTPtember 2022 day 27: Akiryu/Pegoryu.

9/28-30/2022. Pencil underdrawing, Copic Gasenfude brush pen, Copic markers, Platinum Preppy fountain pen of Noodler’s Ink, Gelly Roll white gel pen. Some fixes on Krita. Referencing my Joker and Skull Figmas.

The other day (9/21/2022), I thought I should try drawing my OTPs in the style that I’ve been drawing OC witches for Witchtober 2022 and since Inktober 2020: black and white monochrome; mostly simple silhouettes; omitted/minimal faces.

omg This took too long. How do people keep work-in-progress drawings over several days? I'm used to finishing a drawing within a day...or within an all-nighter and another day. lol Needless to say, I will not being doing longer drawings like this for the rest of OTPtember 2022. I need to catch up on the days I skipped while working on this one, after all.

GREETINGS GENTLEBEINGS!! AFTER THE SUCCESS OF LAST YEAR’S EVENT, THE TRANSFORMERS RARE PAIRING COMMUNITY IS PLEASED TO PRESENT:

RARE PAIRING FEST 2022!!

Rare Pairing Fest is a now-annual event we host, with the goal of getting more of our favorite rare pair content out into the universe! Like last year, we’re going to use the new format, instead of the the 2020 and prior years format! Used to, we’d pull old prompts from the weekly request posts and put them back up again, but this year we’re bringing new prompts and you all will attach YOUR favorite rare pairs to them!

This year’s event will run from October 16-29, 2022! There will be 28 prompts (two for each day) with seasonal themes.

The prompt list is broken down by day, and posted below. You create your work and then post to Twitter, Tumblr, Dreamwidth and/or Pillowfort on the correct day. All participants will get a participation graphic, and anyone who makes a fill for all 14 days will get a special prize! There are no minimums or maximums for this event and ALL content types are accepted (including photos & hand crafts!) Also, all ratings are accepted, but please tag appropriately! And don’t forget the #2022TFRarePairingFest tag! ALSO, if you’re participating in another event (Inktober, LLFest, etc) please feel free to double dip your pieces! (No one has enough time in the day to create two or three or more pieces and Mod eerian will never expect you to!)

oh hey I found some stuff I wrote in 2020

...and since it's doing nothing besides gathering metaphorical dust in my Documents folder, I thought I'd share it here for anyone to read :)

INKTOBER 27 - Soul of Cinder, Dark Souls 3

The final boss in Dark Souls 3, one of my favorite battles in this game.

Personally I think that Soul of Cinder is a good final battle and that it closes the game very well (as with Gael in the last DLC) in my opinion, the first phase with its multiple and varied attacks with a large damage range, it which makes this battle more difficult.

When you reach its second phase, change the music to Lord Gwyn’s in Dark Souls and start fighting like him, things get interesting since the parry mechanics do not affect Soul of Cinder.

This battle was difficult for me and I loved it.

INKTOBER ‘20 #27 - Music

Racket is not exactly unique amongst awoken robots, but he is definitely not a commonplace. He was built to be a killer – a mobile, bipedal weapon platform. Once the spark hit him, he didn’t lose his violent tendencies, but he reforged them into something knew, with clarity of purpose and mind that could not defy some loops of logic that infected his newfound intelligence. Guns, he thought, ultimate prove nothing and bring no lasting change. Sure, you can annihilate a village for their wrongdoings, but not only it will rebuild in a few measly centuries but also most likely seethe with desire of vengeance, tightening the survivors bond in a harsh goal. No, the change needs to come from within. From the ground of freedom, and freedom absolute. And so, Racket dismantled his missle pods, dropped his autoguns, got rid of his ammo storage and nanoforge. And found a new outlet for the ire that boiled in his cables – music. Loud music. Obnoxious music. Music that thumps with the beats of living hearts and the pulse of growling binary. It will be his voice, aided by his message, and he will teach all kin and folk of his way. To drop the shackles of rulers, kings and masters. To realize their own power, to raise against the oppression of the privileged. To find new purpose that should, in his view, be universal – the pursue of absolute freedom. For only then, when all are free, the real work can begin and real change can be imprinted around the world. And so, he and his clamor stalks the streets of Wharf Town, waking people up, earning lots of cussin’ and a throng of urchins always eager for some free entertainment.
