Results From the Ritual Oil Polls

First up, bottle size; I'd asked whether downgrading to a 1 oz bottle was preferable, or if people liked the standard 2 oz bottles that nearly every other Ritual Oil seller sells. Most people preferred the idea of 1 oz bottles.

The next one was pricing, and how comfortable people would be with what prices. I'm not going to lie, I was actually surprised by the result of this one; it was evenly split.

Tertiarily was a call check for interest in first run stock. Most people wanted the proprietaries I've already created for myself. Close to that, though, were the Plant Ally Single Specimen blends, and the Plant Ally Harmonic Blends.

I won't be able to provide the Solstice Fire one very easily, so that one may have to wait. And the Fire In the Heart one will have to be reformulated for safety (I'm comfortable putting it on my skin. I don't care. But I'm not comfortable selling it with some of the original ingredients).

I'll admit that the entire concept of both the Plant Ally Single Specimen blends and the Plant Ally Harmonic Blends were something I came up with on the spot for the poll. But I'm incredibly excited to play with the idea; I've already planned Rose in both forms (I feel like Rose is a pretty safe and widely appealing first launch).

And finally, I also asked if people preferred pre-empowered Oils or not. The answer was overwhelmingly yes on that one.

This gives me a lot of great starter information and I really, truly appreciate everyone helping out and participating in the polls, voicing their opinions, etc. Y'all've been so wonderful and supportive of me even thinking of trying to start up this little venture, and it means so much to me. Especially as it looks more and more likely my body is just going to keep deteriorating in annoying ways. I can't express how much I appreciate all of you.

Urasa:

Urasa was abandoned by his father as part of some double-cross/life lesson about being weak. He met a Klingon boy named Adokthosh and saw that he was weak and cowardly compared to the others around him. Urasa ran away from the care of his Romulan bretheren and the two of them began working together to get to the top of the Klingon empire through lying, cheating, bribing, and stealing. I'm sure that'll all go well for them! I'm also sure there won't be any complicated romantic feelings. Bartovka:

Whelp, there she is! The new oil I want to experiment with! And my new box of little 10ml experimentation bottles came in today, too. So I got to re-bottle the two perfumes I was experimenting with, and make a smaller, more usable bottle of the Heart's Heal Oil I just finished (on the left).

I also rebottled some of my Purifying and Uplifting Spirit Oil as well, so I wasn't having to use the big jar every time. And now my little ritual corner is starting to get slightly crowded with all my daily oils at this point- even with most of them being in smaller bottles now, ha ... I may just move the perfumes to the Ancestor Shrine now that they're in the appropriate bottles.

#hi I just woke up and my blankets are so soft and it's the perfect temperature as well and I have so much work that needs to be done #it's a cruel world #I've also lost all concept of time and barely know what day it is but whatever #maybe.... another 20 minutes... what's the worst that could happen #sorry for rambling just woke up with very strong feelings about how comfortable I'm feeling rn #also unrelated to anything I think modern oil paintings are really interesting especially ones that are more realistic and focus on everyda #scenes or still lives #personally I always associate oil painting with very classical art and that comparison brings a whole new layer of appreciation to the #piece like yea you've painted your McDonald's happy meal and hundreds of years ago somebody painted this bowl of fruit #and the medium in which you did it stayed the same the whole time #it's similar to how I feel about (modern) art in museums in that because it's placed in museums it gives it the feeling of an important #art piece and something that you should study intently #love modern art btw don't think it has only value if it's placed in an museum I just think it's interesting how much impact the surrounding #have on what we consider art #which is a fun thing to try out like for example if I say my IKEA chair is art that gives it a different value #making me study it more closely and in the process I'll realise yes it is art to me the way the pieces fit together #how the form was designed etc and it works for everything and makes your day much more fun #ramble over if someone's still reading this here's a fun little guy: 🐕 and sorry for taking up so much space on the dashboard #I'm going to go back to sleep now (bed is still veryyyy comfortable) #delete later

#cooked myself some something for lunch and I mean. it's not bad. not bad at all #could've used more wine though #my whole exposure to seasoning has been 'just throw it in there you don't need to measure or follow a scheme' #which. this thing has honey as well as curry as well as Kurkuma as well as sesame oil and butter in it #and a shit ton of pepper #would've thrown chili in there too if we had that in the house right now but apparently we're out of it #what else ....garlic I threw garlic in there too #and some red wine on accident #intended to use white but well i didn't find that one #and milk to thin it down when the cream got thick #onions too you cpuld taste those I think I accidentally burnt them #did I mention the honey #it's genuinely a good looking thing and it tastes well as well but it's pretty mediocre #next time I'll throw some chicken in as well that usually adds a Lot #the broth really didn't substitute which I suppose isn't the intent but you know. experiments. #i was debating if I should add some walnuts too but then that idea quickly vanished when I noticed we haven't any here anyways #could've worked out though I believe in the walnuts
