Part 1 || Part 2
Pairing: Gojo Satoru x reader
Content tags: enemies to lovers; slow burn; afab!reader; clan issues; LOOOONG fic (check word count), there will be another part
Warnings: slow burn, gojo being a dick (even geto can’t save him here), enemies to lovers, arranged marriage, pain :)
Word count: 17.1k
A/N: I need to cope with current manga events and distracting myself with gojo content works best also why do I have the fucking the tendency to never get to the point (at least explains the length of this fic ._.)
Tumblr media
There weren‘t many consistencies in your life, if you were being honest to yourself, after all being a jujutsu sorcerer meant having to predict the unpredictable and be prepared for any possibilities, at least thats what those stupid clan elders drilled into your brain at every possible moment but honestly speaking absolutely nothing could‘ve prepared you for Gojo Satoru to be the worst fucking asshole you have and probably will ever meet. You knew since you were a toddler you were promised to this asshole; binding vow infused with cursed technique and what not, basically it meant you keep the promise to get married and stay with Gojo Satoru or the cursed energy will kill you. At this rate though, you‘d consider just dying instead of marrying him, that‘s how insufferable he is.
For as long as you can remember all your family relatives would tell you day in and day out that you were lucky, you would marry the person that‘s guaranteed to have a successful life and you should be grateful for that but honestly, the moment this spoiled toddler looked at you like you were a cockroach and then called you ugly you have felt anything but grateful. In fact that was the first time you felt such inexplicable rage that you straight up threw your ballerina shoe at him and all your mother could do was pick you up and carry you as far away as possible from each other all while you stuck out your tongue at this dummy that called you ugly. Once you guys were far enough away from each other you had to listen to your mother rant about how you shouldn’t treat the treasure of the Gojo-clan like that or she might get in trouble. It felt unfair and this was only the first of many other scoldings to come.
The second time you meet him, your mother specifically asked you to behave, if not, you wouldn‘t be allowed to have dessert and god you‘d die for that dessert. Keeping the dessert in mind you tell yourself you can do this, he‘s just a spoiled baby after all but the moment he looked at you it already felt like he was itching for a punch. He turned around towards his caretaker and actually asked her: “if he really had to marry you“. This time only the dessert your mother told you about protected him because otherwise he would have tasted both of your ballerina shoes. You almost spat at him that you didn’t want to marry this brat either but your mothers warning glance was the only thing keeping your mouth shut. Then Satoru decided he had enough of looking at your ugly face and just turned around without a single word and left you guys. God you really wanted to throw a stone at him. Your mother looked at you and said: “not to worry because boys are mean when they like you.“. This was the first time you actually contemplated your mothers sanity bc why would someone be mean to someone they like. That’s how you decided to hate your future husband and show him exactly that, no matter the consequences.
The third meeting was actually longer than the other two, simply because this time your caretakers decided that a picnic would be nice and good for you two to get to know each other and familiarize yourselves with one another. This time you were prepared for the inevitable, when your nanny asked why you needed a rock you‘d simply state that it was a gift for Satoru and she gushed over how adorable you were being, what she failed to realize was, that it was anything but a gift for him but rather a meanie hitter in case he‘d be a jerk again. Now you two were facing each other and forcefully greeted one another and the nannies both unpacked their lunch and set it up in the middle for all of you to eat. Now, being the respectful child you were raised to be, you thanked them but Satoru let out a simple „hmph“ and began to eat only to spat it out right into your face. He started to complain about how salty the food was and if it weren‘t for your shock in that moment you would‘ve already hit him with your ‚gift‘ but lucky for him your nanny was already distracting you by wiping away the food in your face and then turning to Satoru to apologize since she didn’t know his food preference. Satoru looked at her in disgust and complained about how she lacks basic cooking skills for a mere nanny. That was also the last time you‘ve seen her on your estate and that really made you hate Gojo tenfold. After that day you vow to yourself to make his life just as miserable but the elders decided to stop letting you guys meet until you both were more mature.
The next time you see Gojo, you were both 8 years old and to none of your surprise he still was the same jerk only this time he pulled your hair and called you a pig but there was no one to hold you back from attacking him with a stick to the point you chased him through the entire estate until you actually tripped and hurt yourself and with tears in your eyes you had to listen to Gojos demeaning laughter while he insulted you one more time for good measure.
That’s how you‘d describe your entire childhood with Gojo Satoru up until you are both in Jujutsu High. After not seeing him for about two years, you could argue that he might‘ve changed but it‘s Gojo Satoru, your hopes are as low as believing this arranged marriage can be canceled.
The first time you see him again was while your teacher was introducing you to the other teams and just seeing his face gave you shivers of disgust. He‘d grin obnoxiously at you and all you can do is scoff, while the teacher talks about teams and what not. You were so enraged at seeing him you couldn‘t even listen to what Yaga was saying.
„Yo, did ya miss me? Bet ya did, it‘s not like you can see a handsome face like this every day.“, Satoru grins and it takes your entire might not to just punch him square in the face.
You grit your teeth at the pest you‘d have to see every day now and take a deep breath to calm down: „I might start to miss your face, when it‘s actually handsome, Gojo.“ you shrug and then glance at the guy with long black hair behind him losing his shit and slapping Gojos shoulder.
„Can‘t say I disagree, Satoru.“ he‘d press in between laughters and Gojo would immediately protest, turn around and kick him while he whines about him not having his back.
You just stare at the long haired guy with an amused grin, then look back to Gojo, almost cringe at him, then turn back to the guy standing beside him, „Geto Suguru, nice to meet you, Y/n. I‘ve heard a lot about you.“ he‘d bow slightly and your eyes almost widen in surprise, how can Gojo be friends with such a respectful guy.
„Knowing Gojo, it was probably only bad stuff“, you chuckle and bow to him as well. You raise an eyebrow, provocatively: „rather it surprises me how Gojo managed to find an actually respectful friend.“ you glance at Gojo one more time for good measure, only for him to grin then stick out his tongue at you
„Not all of us are incapable of making friends.“, he states nonchalantly, but the provocative and amused grin on his face betrays him. It really took almost everything in you not to smash his pretty face into the ground and beat it black and blue, but it seems like Geto was one step ahead by smacking him on the back of his head while he scolds him about being respectful to your fiancé.
Gojo in return simply mocks him, then whines about how you two are ganging up on him while he crosses his arms like a child. You‘d just shrug and then say; „it‘s not our fault, you‘re simply insufferable.“
His pout grows even bigger and you had to giggle because he looked like a bubbling fish, that‘s how ridiculous he was getting. He stopped pouting and kept staring at you, his face neutral. Gojo Satoru always was unreadable to you but in this moment he felt like another mystery of the world. Just what is going on in his head? You stopped asking yourself that a long time ago, there was no point in trying to understand him because you simply never would. The silence between you three was turning awkward very quickly and you decide to pull away from this meeting, deciding that you have much better things to do than have Gojo gawk at your face and most likely start to point out all your flaws and insecurities. You bid them farewell with an awkward smile and head to your designated room for the school year.
With a new place came a sense of loneliness that could hardly be described, it‘s comparable to a lack of warmth that flows from the blank walls that have absolutely zero memories attached to them, but you were determined to fill your heart up with beautiful memories in this place as well. This wouldn‘t remain a blank space; you refuse to allow that. You take a deep breath, your clenched jaw unclenching and your shoulders start to relax; the tension, you didn’t even realize had built up, slowly releasing and you felt like you were able to clear your anxiety slowly. This is going to be fine.
You unpack everything from your belongings and decorate the room, make it feel more like yours. The walls slowly are filled with small photos or gifts from clan members and friends. You smile proudly to yourself and put a frame containing a picture of you and your mom and put it on the desk. You hum happily: „I should buy some decorations whenever I have the time to check out the city“. You start to plan what you‘d like to have and whatnot. Some small plants would be nice but a low maintenance plant would fit your busy schedule more, maybe a cactus, at least you wouldn‘t have to worry about watering it, you chuckle to yourself.
A small knock at the door interrupts your planning process. You turn around and walk towards the door and open it swiftly, only to be faced with one of your teammates, Haname. She smiles and gives you a small wave: „Heya, I was done with setting up and was bored out of my mind, so I figured I should check out how my fellow mates are doing.“, she winks and basically barges into your room and looks around in curiosity. Your eyes widen in surprise when she pushes you away to enter the room and you can‘t help but think of a familiar white-haired pest at her boldness, but hers was more adorable, you didn‘t mind.
You continue to observe her, while she is looking around. Her cheeks seem naturally flushed and she had a round face, she reminded you of a squirrel, but it made her look very adorable. She had a small scar on her chin, it made her cute appearance seem a little more serious. You shake your head at your own thought process, it's rude to observe someone to this extent.
A loud sudden gasp interrupts your thought process, „is this your mother?“, Haname asks wide-eyed, „she‘s absolutely gorgeous, you obviously got those good genes from her, oh my god!“
You widen your eyes for the second time in the span of a few minutes, there‘s a small heat growing on your cheeks at her implied compliment, you knew you weren‘t bad looking but someone complimenting you so straight-forward was a rather rare occurrence.
„She‘s breathtaking, isn‘t she“, you smile in fondness, cheeks still flushed and you couldn‘t help but slowly grow fond of this bundle of energy in front of you.
In response she almost beams: „Absolutely! You‘re very similar to her, y‘know?“
You shake your head a little flustered and grin at her, you might‘ve found a new good friend in Jujutsu High: „You‘re also very cute, y‘know?“
She seems to beam even brighter at your compliment and grins and she throws her hair back in an exaggerated manner: „Thanks, gorgeous.“, she winks at you playfully. „So, do you have any plans for today, or can I kidnap you for the day? I heard from a second year there‘s an insane soba noodle restaurant nearby and I can‘t be bothered to go if I‘m alone.“
You tilt your head at her enthusiasm and seeming extroversion: „Just when did you meet a second year?“, you wonder out loud and laugh. You gesture towards the door: „After you.“, you smile looking forward to this unexpected event.
She nods and takes a step forward: „I just met them while I was checking out the training grounds. They‘re humongous, especially considering the lack of Jujutsu students, anyways they were there training and I watched them. Y‘know get some training ideas by observing and when they took a break I talked to them about the school, classes and so on. They were really nice and helpful! I hope everyone here is like that but you never know.“, she shrugs, as if to say, maybe there are assholes here, too.
You laugh at her enthusiasm and her willingness to talk to just about anyone: „You really do have a way with people don‘t you? I bet you could even make Gojo be nice to you.“, your left hand immediately starts to itch when you think about Gojo being rude to her but that‘s a matter for when they actually meet, which will probably be not far into the future, considering that first year students have classes together, despite being in different teams.
She halts in her movements, turns towards you, tilts her head a little to the right and looks at you in confusion: „Who the hell is Gojo? Do I have to know him? Sorry I don't come from a clan or something so I‘m not that good with sorcerer connections.“, she sighs defeated and grabs the back of her neck apologetically.
You furrow your eyebrows slightly, wondering how to explain Gojo Satoru to her, without complimenting his sorcerer abilities and sadly these go hand in hand; that jerk is a confident bastard and he has reason to back it up sadly. „Well, how do I put this,“, your fingers reach for your chin in a thinking manner, „Gojo Satoru, is the next clan head of the Gojo-clan, he has inherited two insanely strong Gojo-clan techniques, the infamous Six Eyes and the Limitless technique. He will most likely become the strongest Jujutsu sorcerer in the future, but I beg you with my entire combined pride, don‘t ever tell him I said this, or I might have to either kill myself or him.“, you explain and warn her. You sigh already feeling a headache forming at the image of his sly grin, if he ever got to hear you say this about him.
She grumbles in response to the new information: „Oh god, an overconfident man and he has valid reasons for that?“, she massages the space between her eyebrows, „i can already imagine just how annoying he is.“
„The. Absolute. Worst. And because of our insane luck, he is also a first year student,“, you smile at her sarcastically, your voice dripping with fake enthusiasm, „and knowing him, when he finds out you hang out with me, he‘ll also probably try to bother you to no end.“, you grumble at the thought of him bothering Haname, but you know it‘s inevitable, he‘ll probably pester all of the students, it‘s just a matter of time.
She sighs: „Well at least you warned me.“, now she grins at you and takes your hand to lead you out of the building and you follow her lead, shaking off the negative feelings that come with Gojo Satoru. At this point it‘s really just a buy one take two for free deal.
Soon the two of you arrived in the heart of the city, you were surrounded by crowds, people were walking by, tourists were reading a map, children were laughing and running around. You grin to yourself; now this is definitely the heart of this place, a new city means a new you. You can work towards improving yourself, become a better sorcerer, nothing is gonna stop you now.
You look at Haname and smile seeing that she‘s just as infatuated with the city as you. You link your arms together so you won‘t lose each other in the crowd. It would be an immense pain in the ass if you lost each other and you really didn‘t want that to happen on the very first day. When you link your arms together she seems to snap back to herself and she drags you forward, probably towards the restaurant she mentioned earlier. Thus your first day concludes with exploring through the city, buying some plants and decorations for each other's room and getting snacks for late nights while gossiping and wondering about the following school year.
The first day of classes started off pretty hectic, you were the type of person to prefer to sleep in for longer than you probably should, so when you realized you woke up an entire 20 minutes after you initially planned to get up, all hell broke loose. You cursed at your habit and got up as fast as possible. After all, you should at least try to look decent on the first day of school. You silently praise yourself at doing overnight curls, at least this would save you a lot of time. You brush your teeth quickly and do your make up so fast, you‘re finished almost entirely 20 minutes earlier than you usually would. You quickly put on your school uniform and check the time, it‘s 7:40 am. At least you were gonna be punctual and not embarrass yourself on the very first day.
While you put on your shoes there‘s a light knock on your door, you can bet it‘s most likely Haname. You open the door, smile a ‘good morning’ at Haname, take your backpack and step out of your room ready to face the first day of classes.
Soon the two of you arrive at the class, which you managed to find easily because Haname also checked out the rooms yesterday. You find yourself being more and more grateful for her presence in your life; she makes it 20 times easier to navigate through everything.
The both of you step in and are immediately faced with the rest of your classmates, one of them being your new teammate. You smile at him and he gives you a small nod back. Even when you first introduced yourself he didn‘t seem like much of a talker, so a small nod seemed like a good sense of appreciation from your teammate and you nod back at him. Haname went ahead and sat herself down in a free spot behind him, so you shrug and decide to do the same and sit next to Haname. The pest- Gojo still doesn‘t seem to be here and you let out a small relief, unsure if you could handle him and his shenanigans this early in the morning. If you were to be honest, if there ever were to be a bounty on Gojo Satoru‘s head you‘d be the one who‘d have put it up.
The devil seems to work hard today because the moment you thought of this, the door flung open and his pesky voice greeted everyone, his teammate Geto seemed to be with him and greeted everyone in a much quieter tone as well. You grumbled as if someone had just threatened to kill you and your entire family and mentally prepare yourself for the incoming headache which comes kind of hand in hand with Gojo‘s presence.
Gojo turns to look at you, probably already having sensed your death stare from thousands of miles away and grins at you and then the seat next to you. You widen your eyes at him and can already imagine his train of thought.
You shake your head at him: „Don‘t you dare even think about it, Gojo.“, you threaten your voice dripping with the intention to kill him
He looks at you mischievously and hums: „it‘s a free country, though? I can do whatever I want, whenever I want.“, he smiles, his eyes glinting provocatively and he pulls up the chair next to you. „Besides it‘s not my fault you can‘t focus in class when you‘re next to me.“, he grins slyly and it takes absolutely every inch of self-restraint in you not to push him off from the chair.
„Sometimes I feel like you were born just to piss me off“, you sigh in defeat, knowing that it‘s impossible to stop him from whatever he set his mind to.
„Please, honey“, he chuckles and leans closer to you while he rest his head on his hand, you scoff at the nickname and you already knew Haname would have to restrain you in the next few seconds, „you should stop being so self-centered, not everything revolves around you and that includes my birth.“, now he is fully smirking at you in victory.
You narrow your eyes at him and retort: “honey, if the world revolved around me, I wouldn’t have to marry you.”
The rest of the class who had been listening to your bickering, now visibly widened their eyes in surprise. Out of all the things that were to be expected, this wasn’t one of them. Your eyes slightly shifted around and sighed at your slip of the tongue, god you really didn’t want everyone to know this early about your predicament. You take a deep breath and start to take out your materials: “Let’s drop this, Gojo, it’s too early for me to be arguing with you already.”, you say almost pleadingly.
Gojo stares at you for a few seconds, which feels like an eternity to you, waiting for his response. Surprisingly he just slightly nods and drops the topic and you almost narrow your eyes at him again in confusion; Gojo never bothers to listen to you after all. You give him a small nod of appreciation and glance at Haname, who is already looking at you as if you had two heads and you almost sigh out loud again and curse yourself once again for already letting everyone know about your engagement with Gojo. She looks at you as if she was expecting an explanation and you whisper that you’ll tell her later about it all and soon after the teacher enters the room and the lesson starts.
While Gojo isn’t actively bothering you, you can feel him constantly glancing or just straight up staring at you, his constant gaze bothering you, you have enough and take a slip of paper and write down ‘Can you stop staring at me?’ then push it towards his table while still focusing on the teacher.
Gojo almost immediately takes the note, scribbles something down and you can see his spreading grin from the corner of your eyes. He pushes the note back towards you and you read his reply ‘Does my attention distract you that much?’.
Your eyes roll almost automatically, you should have expected this, though, he wouldn’t have stayed nice for too long, it’s too out of character for him. You scribble down ‘yes, you’re like a mosquito’ and push it back to him, this time you were the one grinning in satisfaction.
You can see him pouting and then he suddenly pokes at your side. You let out a yelp in surprise, drawing in the attention of everyone in the room. You grit your teeth in embarrassment and tell the teacher you just hit your knee at the table while adjusting your seating position and as soon as his focus is back on the board you glare at Gojo.
He grins at you and whispers: “That’s what you get for calling me a mosquito”
You glare at him again for good measure and whisper back: “i hate you”
He smiles and winks at you and then decided to focus back on what the teacher is saying, as if he’s ignoring you and your response, his lack of proper response seems to irk you even more and you kick him -not so hard to draw attention- under the table, this time you were the one smiling and he was glaring at you. Now you tried to focus on the lesson but the smile never left your face. As much as you hated Gojo you did love when you annoyed him.
While you copy the board Gojo slips a piece of paper towards you which states ‘it’s not over’ and you look at him from the corner of your eyes and start to wonder just what is going on inside his head when he smirks at you but you knew you had to prepare for the worst; when Gojos little head is completely functioning it doesn’t do small actions. You turn around the piece of paper to respond ‘I’m absolutely terrified :o’ and grin to yourself and push it back on his desk.
He gave one small look at the teacher to check if he was still facing the board and then came closer to your face, specifically your ear. Goosebumps ran all over your neck at the sudden close proximity and you had to fight the urge to scream at him and push him away, you didn’t want to get scolded by the teacher on the very first day. You turn to face him- big mistake- he was so close to your face, your noses almost touched and you could feel his breath on your face. Your eyes widen in surprise and you gulp, ‘why did he have to have such pretty eyes’, you start to think to yourself and you almost catch yourself getting lost in them and you flinch back, you turn around to face the board again and put some distance between you, you are more than ready to pretend this never happened. This was completely new territory you didn’t wish to explore with Gojo.
While you did put physical distance between you guys he had reached something today you never knew he could and that idea of vulnerability terrified you, this man isn‘t to be trusted and liked, at least that‘s what you can be sure about. Even if there was something going on you can still pretend it never did you tell yourself.
The only problem is that reality is a bitch and Gojo Satoru is an even bigger bitch and he notices the faint blush on your ears and has to smirk to himself and you really were unsure if you were ready to face whatever is gonna happen next because you knew showing vulnerability to Gojo never leads to anything good.
The class soon ends and you turn to Haname, ready to pretend like the last few minutes never happened. You link your arms together and as soon as you open your mouth ready to say anything, you feel an arm wrapping around your shoulders and a cinnamon like sweet scent fills you.
Gojo‘s pesky voice fills your ear: „Didn‘t I tell you this won‘t be the end?“ you almost shiver; he is too close.
„Don‘t you have anything better to do than pester me?“, you try to untangle yourself out of his arm but his steady grip doesn‘t let you, ‘oh how you wish you had the strength to crush a man's skull right now‘, you mentally grumble and pinch Gojos arm.
He whines about how you‘re bullying him and that is clearly unfair all while pulling you even closer towards him to the point your entire upper body is touching his and you can feel your heart heavily thumping against your chest; it‘s simply because you‘re not used to seeing Gojo like this, you tell yourself and decide on your next course of action: Ignore him.
You turn towards Haname, completely aware of Gojo‘s arm still wrapped around you, you look at her with a defeated gaze as if telling her ‘do you see what I have to deal with?‘. She raises an eyebrow at the irony of the situation, for people who hate each other, you sure were close to one another.
Geto seems to join your small circle with a chuckle and you have to sigh in relief: „Get rid of him. Please.“ you look at him pleadingly. He was your only chance of getting Gojo off of you. Meanwhile the latter is just chuckling at your demise.
He looks at you with an amused grin and then slightly shakes his head no and you grumble at him; you should‘ve expected this, he is friends with Gojo, he has to somewhat be an asshole as well.
„What happened to your inner moral compass?“, you whine while still trying to get rid of Gojo‘s death grip.
„It left the moment, this got a little too amusing for me to interfere.“, he just chuckles and faces Haname, „i feel like we should get used to this, if we‘re gonna hang out with them.“, he hums.
You glare at Geto: „and here I was genuinely respecting you yesterday.“, now you turn towards Gojo, „if you decide to do this regularly, at least put on some deodorant or shower regularly, you stink.“.
Gojo scoffs at your words: “I’m anything BUT stinky, and you know that. I bathe in more oils than some people ever see in their lives.”, he brags like the spoiled brat he is.
“At least something good about marrying you.”, you glint at him in amusement.
The playful mood suddenly changes and he rolls his eyes and whispers something about being a gold digger and suddenly lets go of you and steps away without a goodbye or anything. Geto looks at both of you confused and you wish you could give him an answer but you didn’t have one either, ‘did you do something wrong?’, you had to wonder to yourself. He follows Gojo after saying his goodbyes with an apologetic smile and your side suddenly feels cold.
You shake your head in a weak attempt to sort your thoughts; this is Gojo, he was never easy to understand and never will be. You have to admit, you hated this, this feeling of doing something wrong but you don't understand what. He knew you were joking, right?
Haname snaps her fingers in front of your face and finally gets you out of your thoughts. She looks at you with concern: “You alright? You look a little shaken up.”
“Yes- no, I'm just confused? Like what was that?”, you say unsure of yourself and about the current situation.
She shrugs: “I don't know, maybe you hit a nerve? I still don’t know the guy but he definitely seems like he has some sort of heavy mood swings going on. Anyways I thought you didn’t care about him?”, she looks at you as if she’s hinting at something.
“And I still don’t.”, you stare at her as if she should immediately disregard that thought, “It was just an odd situation and I don’t know how to interpret it.”
“Mhm, sure you don’t.”, she hums, “anyways, what’s the deal with you guys getting married to each other, despite seemingly not getting along?”, she wonders and waits expectantly for an answer.
“Clan matters, really. We were promised to one another before we were even born.”, you sigh, “so it wasn’t really either of our decisions.”
“Have you never tried to make it work?”, her eyebrows wrinkle up in curiosity and she seats herself on top of one of the desks, “I mean there’s no way out. Might as well try to get along.”
“With Gojo?”, you laugh in disbelief and sit down next to her, “hell would freeze over first.”, you grip her shoulder, “besides, you saw him earlier, he’s ten times worse usually.”, you sigh, still wondering if your little comment actually struck him that badly, Gojo was one complicated human to read, besides you shouldn’t care this much about him, it shouldn’t matter, you hate him and that will never change.
The only thing you want to know is if what you did was wrong so you decide to ask her.
“Anyways, did I go too far? He seemed pretty offended by my comment.”, you wonder.
“Nah”, she drags the word and makes a ‘pff’ sound, “you were joking around obviously, and so was he, he shouldn’t get his panties twisted so easily.”
She is making sense, you nod along, slowly getting reassured by her words. “Yeah, I’m probably just overthinking this.”
“Yep”, she smiles, “so don’t worry.”.
Soon after the first few weeks of classes pass and not much happens between you and Gojo, instead of annoying you like on the first he simply didn’t acknowledge your presence. You couldn’t help but welcome this peace but you also couldn’t deny that it made you uncomfortable, it was too odd, too out of place, something was missing and you hated that you felt this way and you would never admit that.
Now that the basics have been taught the school deems you all fit to finally go on your own missions with the supervision of a teacher and of course the missions would depend on your skill levels and teamwork. Your first mission went pretty well considering that this was the first time you guys were facing curses on your own. Actually fighting and seeing them was completely incomparable to reading about them, especially facing the ones in Tokyo. They are stronger here, even if they’re considered a low rank simply because of the quantity of humans in the city. Nonetheless if you wanted to grow your strength as a sorcerer just fighting curses isn’t enough, you have to train regularly and evolve your techniques, being weak and unfocused can easily lead to your death, you knew that. Hence why you were sparring with Haname right now, with your other teammate, Shinsuke, observing the both of you.
You both wanted to try out your hand at various weapons and improve your hand to hand combat, even if you don’t need a weapon, it’s not bad to have several aces up your sleeve and Haname apparently uses dagger, that she can cut herself with any time, it works best with her blood manipulation technique you only got a small glimpse of it but it seemed to have enormous potential despite being quite self-harming, she mostly only needed a small amount of blood and with further training she’d be able to manipulate the blood of other curses as well without even drawing their blood.
Ice manipulation was your cursed technique and with your vast amount of cursed energy you have inherited thanks to your bloodline, you barely had any limits. Your biggest problems apparently will be facing drawn out battles and having teammates, you can manipulate the ice easily but it needs more refinement, saving your cursed energy and instead of targeting the entire area you should learn to just target the enemy since it could freeze your mates as well. But you figured this will be easier following with the experience you will gain from your missions. That doesn’t stop you from still training in your spare time.
The three of you build up this system where two would spare and and the other observes and gives criticism and possible improvements and then you test them out. Sometimes the seniors or other teams would join and the same system repeats. The only ones who you haven’t seen were Gojo and Geto, heck even Utahime and Shoko have joined you all except for them. It irked you, it felt like he was avoiding you and Geto simply followed his nonsense ideas but you shouldn’t let his childish behavior affect your state of mind nor your good time at Jujutsu High, at least that’s what you try to tell yourself; your mood still gets sour whenever you think of him.
At least Geto is still acknowledging your presence whenever he sees you and gives you a smile or wink as a greeting. He’s like the sunshine that follows your broody mood whenever Gojo is nearby but all in all your interactions with the both of them didn’t exceed 2 seconds. On one hand you were relieved and on the other it still pisses you off that Gojo took a small joke this serious and personal when he jokes and pisses you off all the time and you were supposed to get over it.
‘This guy needs to grow up’, you grumble internally.
You were ready to take up a wooden spear and familiarize yourself with it; this daily training for several hours has helped you immensely with your stamina and focus and it actually helps you relieve some inner pent up anger, you don’t even realize you have until you start hitting something.
More and more weeks go by like this: School, Train, sometimes you add a sprinkle of going out and having fun and there are also the occasional missions you guys have and complete with success and only small casualties.
Your team has grown closer and closer to one another to the point you guys spend almost every minute, except for sleeping, with each other and they’ve grown to be your second family; already saving each other more than you can count and a non describable trust has formed between you.
Currently you were seated in the backseat of a car and boredly looking at the constantly changing scenery outside while silently humming along to the music on the radio. The song was just about to reach the refrain when the passenger princess decided to switch the radio channel again.
“For fuck’s sake, Gojo, this is the fourth time you’re switching the song before it gets good.”, you complain. This guy always manages to ruin any type of peaceful mood you could ever have. “Just connect it to your phone if you don’t like the songs playing”, you offer in hopes you can enjoy at least one song before you have to face your pesky and annoying elders.
Gojo and you were invited to a ‘small’ family dinner involving both of your close family, you didn’t know why but you got called and told to bring Gojo with you no matter how and it was no easy feat. As much as you hated your elders or these family gatherings you still could gulp it down and still attend even if you’d rather die than go to one of these. Gojo on the other hand never attends these and they know that, which means this gathering is important as hell and you’d rather face Gojo’s wrath than your mother’s for not obeying the elders.
The deal was: Gojo attends the gathering and you basically get him at least 20 Mochis daily for two weeks. How this man doesn’t have diabetes yet, is something you have to ask yourself daily; his daily sugar intake is worse than an unsupervised toddlers.
The grown toddler in question faces you and rolls his eyes: “These songs are boring, how can you manage to enjoy them?”
You could feel your eye twitching in annoyance: “Just connect it to your phone then, Gojo. It’s not that hard.”
He shakes his head, and switches to another station, provoking you even further, and he takes a small second to consider his next words, “then I wouldn’t be able to keep pissing you off.”
Your entire body tenses up in annoyance, you can basically feel your fingers tickling, basically demanding to choke him but you have to contain yourself, if he’s dead before you even arrive at the gathering, your mother is gonna scold you. All you can do is scoff and face the window again, if he was hoping for a bigger reaction out of you he wouldn’t get it tonight.
For the rest of the car ride, you ignored Gojos shenanigans, except for a few eye rolls here and there; in the end you were also just human and there’s only so much rage you can keep in.
You guys arrive at your not so humble abode; Gojo rushes out of the car and you have to question his next action, specifically his motive, because not even a second later he is making his way towards your door and you have to hold yourself back from opening the door and hitting him in the face with it. The reasonable part in you, knows a clan member is probably watching you from afar and this is the only reason he’s doing it but it still feels incredibly odd.
Satoru opens the door and holds out his hand, waiting for you to take it, he’s lightly and impatiently tapping his foot, which basically tells you he can’t wait for tonight to be over and done with so you take a deep breath and put on a smile before you grasp his hand and let him lead you out of the car. When you step out, he lets go of your arm and puts his hand on your back while simultaneously closing the door.
He leans down to your ear, his lips lightly touching it; you feel tingles run down your spine, physical contact really wasn’t your strong point, you almost curse at yourself and at the effect he can have on you.
“Let the show begin.”, he whispers and you have to cough slightly in a weak attempt to pull yourself together at his raspy voice being so close to you.
You nod to reassure yourself and repeat: “let the show begin.”
The both of you head towards the house, his hand never leaving your waist and you can’t help but feel comfortable, at least you aren’t the only one suffering tonight; the thought makes you chuckle out loud and Gojo looks at you as if you’re about to go insane. Mischievously you just keep looking at him but it’s only in moments like this you realize just how much he towers over you, he’s almost an entire head taller than you, if he wanted to he could spit on your head and you wouldn’t even see it.
This thought makes you slightly mad and you have to narrow your eyes at him: “Don’t even think about spitting on me or anything like that or I will get you Mochis only for a week.”
He genuinely looks lost for a moment, “Just what goes on in that stupid pretty little head of yours?”, he shakes his head but then grins as if he realized something, “thanks for the idea, shortcake.”, he hums, now happier than before.
In response you groaned, you just had to open your mouth. Now you wish you could unwrap his arm around you.
“Don’t you dare or I’ll spit on every meal you’re gonna eat for the rest of our lives.”, you threaten and you mean every single word.
He hums and pulls you closer towards him before he winks and blows a kiss in your direction. Leave it to Gojo Satoru, to make you feel like you’re on an emotional rollercoaster and have your fight or flight mode activated all the time, and right now, you wish you could fight him, he is basically asking for it, but sooner rather than later you already arrive on the front door and ring the doorbell.
You both take a deep breath and you warn Gojo to behave once more for good measure. Soon the door opens and you’re faced with the clan elder greeting the both of you. Albeit they can’t let you guys step inside without a small side comment about how an engaged couple should show up together more often and you have to strengthen the grip on your purse to hold yourself back from either rolling your eyes or pushing the elder away in annoyance. You fake a laugh and respond that you both are very busy people and rarely can make it together to events like this then head inside and greet the rest of your families.
The two of you engage in small talk with the different family members and go from group to group together. Whenever you guys part from one group Gojo whispers small side comments in your ear as if he was a gossiping auntie and you can’t help but laugh at some of them, no matter how much you hate him, you have to admit he does make wonderful company for events like these.
During the passing of the night Gojo’s hand never left your body, even if he let go sometimes his hand always found its way back to your waist and you can’t help but feel giddy at the realization, if you were in the unknown about your feelings for one another you’d genuinely think the both of you were in love given the plain intimacy between you guys. The worst part is, you could get used to it, in fact you are getting used to it, and you don’t like this. At all. Being vulnerable with Gojo Satoru is never a good sign and you dread whatever comes with being comfortable around him. It’s like you are waiting for the killer to finally catch the unassuming victim and waiting for their impending doom but right now you aren’t in a spot to put distance between you guys.
Finally the both of you are done talking to everyone and make your way towards your and Gojo’s parents, after all they’re the ones who are most likely the ones to be the happiest to see the both of you well and happy together.
Your father looks at the both of you and lets out a small whistle before he looks at Satoru and his face wrinkles up in a huge smile: “Did you finally tame the dragon?”, he asks Satoru teasingly then pulls him into a hug, “I hope she hasn’t been threatening you too often. That anger of hers is unstoppable.”
You gasp at your fathers betrayal and Satoru grins at you victoriously, his eyes basically telling you that he’s got your parents wrapped around his finger and you can do absolutely nothing about it.
“Don’t worry about her, give her a little affection and all her worries and anger are gone within seconds.”, he hums happily.
You fake a smile, wrap your arms around his waist in a half hug and subtly step on his foot with your heel, “How can I be angry at you, when you’re this adorable.”, you coo and your mood genuinely brightens up when you see him slightly hiss in pain.
He wraps his arm around your waist again and slightly pinches your side and you have to hold tight onto him to not show a physical reaction towards your parents.
He then looks at your mothers and grins, “she’s such a catch, isn’t she?”
They laugh at the both of you before they stop and start scolding the two of you: “You should attend these events together more often.”, while the other says: “Do you know how awkward it is to always come up with excuses for why you never attend our gatherings?” and much more until they finally hug the both of us.
Satoru’s father now steps in to greet the both of you and then looks at you apologetically: “I hope Satoru hasn’t created any trouble for you.”
You have to genuinely laugh at this, if he only knew, albeit you didn’t want to give neither your nor his family a bad impression but still wanted to keep some type of honesty so you simply answer with: “Only his usual shenanigans, but don’t worry, he’s improving.”
This time Satoru gasps, “I’m not that bad, I’m a fucking delight and you know it, darling.”
“Satoru!”, his mother looks at him pointedly, “no swearing!”, she scolds him.
He apologizes, but you can see from miles away he doesn’t feel the slightest bit sorry about the slip of tongue.
You engage in further small talk, answering all their questions about your wellbeing, your stay at Jujutsu High and basically everything else.
At one point the gathering seems so normal, so ordinary that you can’t help but wonder why they insisted so heavily on the both of you attending together. There’s no way they would have been this adamant about it if this was just a normal gathering.
Satoru beats you to it, though and asks the question you’ve been dying to know and skillfully mentions he had important stuff going on tonight, “so, what is the purpose of tonight’s event? I even had to ask my teammate to take my mission for tonight”
You had to physically restrain yourself from patting Satoru’s head proudly for coming up with this excuse, at least he can sometimes make that brain of his work.
“Oh,”, your mother smiles, “well there are two things planned on today's agenda. First of all we wanted to announce future plans that would follow your guy's marriage in the future, that involve both of our clans and then we wanted to discuss details of your future engagement party, i mean we still haven’t officially celebrated it.”, she explains.
You look at her surprised: “I thought the official engagement announcement would be after we graduate?”, you wonder out loud and Satoru nods along.
Now Satoru’s mother chimes in: “Please, everybody already knows you two are going to wed each other, might as well get the engagement over and done with.”, she chuckles and you can’t help but gulp.
You knew it was bound to happen at one point or another but actually deciding on a date and being engaged officially makes this entire deal so real and it feels like you can’t hold on to the bubble you’ve been living in for the entire time you’ve been at Jujutsu High. You and Gojo Satoru are actually going to be engaged and there’s no actual change to your situation but something about this feels so much more different to your situation before and you can’t pinpoint why yet.
You take a deep breath and for the first time genuinely look at Satoru. He has a blank expression and even though you can’t read minds you just know he’s going through the same predicament as you right now.
You slightly squeeze him in a weak attempt to get him back to reality, you guys still need to pretend everything is alright between you two. Lucky for you it works and now he’s looking at you. You can see the hidden dark look in his eyes; he didn’t want this and your heart feels like it twists in pain, this is probably the only time you’d be the one who could understand Satoru’s thoughts and feelings better than anyone else and you slightly nod and squeeze his arm in a reassuring manner, no matter what, it’s gonna be ok, you try to convince the both of you. This is the only thing you guys won’t be able to change; you two are gonna end up married, whether you liked it or not.
Satoru takes a deep breath then suggests to discuss these matters in a more private setting some time next week and excuses himself before he goes anywhere but near our parents. His mother looks at you confused and worried.
You grasp her hand and squeeze it lightly to reassure her, “he’s fine.”, you smile and follow after Satoru.
He is outside, sitting on the edge of the terrace currently ruffling through his hair, while you slowly walk towards him. The cold of the night breezes against your naked shoulders. Never in your life before have you had to comfort Gojo Satoru nor did you ever think you would but it seems like there’s a first time for everything. Every fiber in your body is screaming to leave him alone, telling you that it’s not worth it, but you can’t, not when you know, not when you understand and you really hated your caring heart in this exact moment so you bite your teeth and swallow down the cold you’re currently feeling and sit down next to him.
He notices you and lets out an annoyed huff: “can’t you leave me alone? At least for now? Before we actually have to stick together side by side for forever.”, you tense up at his sudden rude behavior, you knew he wasn’t exactly ecstatic about the current events but you failed to predict that he’d be pissed enough to let it out on you and you suddenly wish you hadn’t come outside but you grit your teeth together; you both needed to talk about this, whether you liked it or not.
You sigh in order to somehow gather your thoughts and consider your next words, you need to stay calm.
“I don’t like this either, Satoru, just as much as you do. But we can’t change the inevitable. It is going to happen and the best we can do is try to get along and make the best out of it.”, you shrug and look at him, waiting for his reply.
He chuckles coldly, his face unreadable, the only thing visible in this dark terrace that’s only lightened by the moonlight are his furrowed eyebrows, and he snaps: “Make the best out of it? Did you forget all the past years we have spent together so far? I fucking hate you, y/n,”, he stands up and you get up as well, you wrap your arms around your body, is far too cold out here for your type of attire, “that’s not gonna change any time soon, so stop trying to act all high and mighty as if this doesn’t bother you.”, he takes a step closer to you, you two are only a few inches apart now, “Don’t fucking lie and say we fucking make the best out of it, when we both perfectly know this is literally the worst shit anyone can pull on the both of us.”
You scoff, ignoring the small peng in your chest, clearly offended and annoyed by his attitude: “I’m not trying to be high and mighty, I’m trying to fucking deal with this like a mature human being and you snapping at me isn’t going to change our arrangement, Satoru. Grow up and accept it.”
His hand runs through his hair and you can’t help but let your eyes follow his movement and you gulp, realizing how attractive he looks pissed off and you want to hit yourself for being distracted by this in this type of situation and then the realization hits you, you are attracted to Gojo Satoru and it feel like someone suddenly punched the air out of your lungs.
You are attracted to Gojo fucking Satoru, your future husband, who hates you like the fucking pest and the feeling should be likewise; you almost start to curse out loud at yourself, just why did you have to realize this now out of all moments, while he’s expressing his unending hatred for you, why did you even have to be attracted to him in the first place?
“You see, y/n”, you can see he’s clenching his jaw, “right fucking now, i’d rather wish one of us died, rather than grow up and accept it.”, he almost spits out and you know, he is just angry and he just wants to hurt you right now but something about your sudden realization and then Satoru immediately spewing these harsh words out combined makes you snap and you slap him. Satoru widens his eyes in shock and you almost were surprised at your own actions too, at least you would’ve been, if you were in a normal state of mind.
It's just like you thought earlier, being vulnerable around Gojo Satoru is not a good thing.
You shake your head in disappointment and remark harshly and visibly angry: “Out of all the things I expected when I stepped outside, you stooping this low, wasn’t one of them, but I guess there’s a new low every day for you, isn’t there, Gojo?”, you turn around and step away from him. You can’t be near him, not now, not like this. You both needed to cool down, before this gets even worse than it already is.
You step inside and take a deep breath, you need a distraction, anything will do, you can’t even bear to look at your parents right now, you know when they did this deal, this wasn’t what they were expecting for you, and yet you still can’t help but feel angry at them. They took your right to love and be loved like you deserved from you, instead you had a future spouse wishing your death rather than be with you. Anger is slowly starting to be replaced with sadness and the urge to cry is growing stronger and stronger.
What a fucking fun night, you grumble and do your best to keep your inner tumult together, you can’t afford a breakdown in front of your families.
Your cousin approaches you, having noticed you’re not so okay, she tugs you by your hand and pulls you somewhere more private, “you okay?”, she whispers and she knows you’re not okay but how else would she be able to approach this?
You shake your head: “I need to leave, before I break down this entire house, either with my tears or my anger, I haven’t decided yet.”
She nods, barely following along, “okay”, she goes and grabs her car keys, “where are we going?”, then walks out of the house with you following right behind her.
“Bring me back to Jujutsu High, please. And no questions, I’m begging, I can’t form answers right now.”, you plead and step into her car.
She nods affirmingly, “no questions” and drives you home.
The car ride is quiet, only quiet music playing through the car speakers, your cousin leaves you to sort your own thoughts and even after the car ride when you’re already at Jujutsu High you still feel lost about everything. You thank her and step inside, you’d take her out to lunch one day but now you’re in no state of mind to properly converse or do anything else other than think.
Why are you even so affected by this, this is what confuses you the most, yes Gojo is attractive, you established that earlier, but he hates you and you hate him, nothing has actually changed between you guys, or has it? You groan out loud in frustration. No matter how much he hates you or how angry you are in a certain moment and no matter how much you actually don’t mean it, you don’t wish someone else their death, that was a real low blow of him and you don’t think you could ever look at him the same again.
You sigh, you had no intention of solving this situation, this wasn’t your fault and yet you were still standing in front of Geto’s room. Seems like your feet automatically carried you here while you were deep in thought. You contemplated if you should knock or not but apparently Geto didn’t even let you think about that before he opened the door and looked at you in confusion.
“What is bringing you here, princess? I know I’m attractive but I’d rather not do something with my best friend's girl.”, and now you notice how this might come across but you couldn’t care less right now and he winks apparently not realizing that you are here for everything but sleeping with him.
“Bad timing for jokes, Geto.”, you shake your head, “speaking of your best friend, though, fucking fix his dipshit brain or something and give him something against emotional constipation.”, you grumble, clearly frustrated.
He looks at you even more confused before it dawns upon him, something happened and given that you went to him, it was bad, like horribly, only Gojo fucking Satoru could do this, type of bad.
“I’m going to leave it to him to tell you but punch him at least twice for me, please, I already hit him once, but he doesn’t care about me.”, you sigh and you swear you could see the gears turning in Geto’s head.
“That bad?”, he asks genuinely concerned and you only nod, then apologize for disturbing him, wish him a good night. You don’t even give him the chance to ask any further questions before you turn around and head to your room.
You were absolutely done with Gojo Satoru, you grumbled and cursed him all the way up until you arrived at your room. Once you reach the small space you take a deep breath. Feelings come crashing down like a barely holding up dam broke loose and you curse Satoru even more.
It hurt, it hurt seeing him so pissed off about this, about you and you can’t help but feel like your self worth is completely lacking, thoughts start to spill you never thought you’d think and you know tomorrow you probably won’t care and it’ll just be back to Gojo being Gojo but tonight you cared, you let him in even if only for a split second and it was already enough to make your lips quiver and your eyes threatening to spill with tears, Gojo Satoru is your own personal and he proved that to you tonight. You still can’t believe his implication; he’d rather choose death than get along with you, what does that say about your personality? Your desirability? Were you that ugly or was your personality that unlovable? Your insecurities grow bigger and bigger and you’ve put yourself into a circle of constantly demeaning yourself without even trying to.
You don’t even know how or when you fall asleep; only in the next morning when your alarm bell rings and you’re still in your evening dress with completely smeared makeup do you realize you fell asleep. You look like absolute shit and you also felt like it; but you can’t go on like this. In an attempt to get rid of your pathetic behavior you slap your cheeks hard and mutter to yourself: ‘Don’t give Gojo Satoru the satisfaction of having power over you.’ and you pull yourself together even if it’s out of simple spite, if it keeps you going, it keeps you going.
The dress is being discarded and so is everything else, you take a quick shower and put on your daily makeup and blow dry your hair, you’d simply leave it straight today and out on your uniform; you didn’t feel like attending classes but you’d only repeat yesterday’s events if you stayed in your dorm room, and the circle of toxicity would continue. At least classes would serve as a good distraction.
As punctual as always at 7:40am Haname knocks at your door and invites herself in, she gives you a double take and looks at you, or well, more like analyzes every inch of your body before she simply states: “You look good but you also look like shit, I can’t describe it. Was last night that bad?”, she wonders out loud.
You grasp her hand and lead her out of the room with an exaggerated groan: “an absolute fucking disaster.”, you repeat yesterday's events and she listens attentively and proceeds to curse out Gojo with certain insults you can’t even properly pronounce. Now for the first time you genuinely felt like smiling and reassured, your feelings finally felt valid and you were glad you decided to open up to her.
“Anyways”, you shrug, “let’s stop talking about this, or him, he is simply not worth it anymore, I learned my lesson, I have to put my guard up before I fall into a rabbit hole I can’t get myself out of.”, and you sigh, this won’t be as easy as you hope it will be and you knew that but you have to, otherwise you might actually not make it out of this alive.
The both of you arrive at your classroom and you sit down at your regular seats; the room is quiet, everyone either being occupied with their thoughts or still trying to get a few minutes of sleep before the teacher steps in.
Gojo’s seat is empty, so far, you have to wonder if he’s going to show up today, considering how angry he was yesterday. You weren’t sure if you even wanted to see him and yet here you are checking the door whenever it makes the tiniest bit of noise, you really wish you could slap yourself right now in frustration; stop caring about him, you chant like a mantra in your head.
Then the door opens again and you face the sunglasses Gojo wears every single day; your body tenses up and you catch yourself holding your breath, he is looking at you while you are looking at him and everything stops for a few seconds; you really don’t know how to face him or what to do. Do you behave like usual? Are you even capable of doing that? Or will you ignore him, god, you hate this uncertainty.
The tension between you guys breaks when Gojo is being pushed from behind, Geto steps into the classroom and you’re finally able to look away from them, from him. Your head turns towards the window while you rest it on your arm and you know he’s still looking at you but you don’t think you can handle another fight at the moment.
He seems to be sitting down next to you and you can feel yourself tense up even more, you didn’t think he’d actually sit next to you today and thought he’d switch seats with Geto, but it seems like he’s mature enough for that at least, you think to yourself bitterly.
His gaze doesn’t leave you this entire time and you’re almost about to tell him to stop staring at you, when jumps up and mutters something along the lines of ‘Fuck it’ before you can feel your chair being pushed back and Gojo right in front ouf your face. He was so close you could see his sparkling blue eyes hidden behind the sunglasses and his severe eye bags, to be specific, he looked worse than you this morning and it made you feel some sense of satisfaction, at least you weren’t the only one affected by this last night.
He stares at you and then whispers: “We need to talk.”, the eye contact between the both of you doesn’t break and he keeps looking at you so deeply you could almost think he can read your mind.
“Classes are about to start, Gojo”, you barely mutter out; you don’t trust yourself, your voice to properly speak out right now.
“I don’t care”, he says in a hoarse voice, “what I care about is fixing this.”, he looked at you almost desperate and pleading and you feel your entire strength leave your body when he pulls you up by your arm and drags you out of the classroom and you let yourself be carried away.
The only thought screaming into your mind is ‘I don‘t think I hate him‘, you care for him in a certain way because all he has to do is genuinely look at you and your determination is crumbling at his demand.
When you‘re just about to leave the classroom you can hear a faint whistle; it‘s Geto probably.
Gojo‘s hand is softly wrapped around yours while he still keeps tugging you to wherever he wants to go and you follow him silently while your eyes keep following his tall frame. You don‘t know what you‘re going to face, an apology? An explanation? Neither?
Your entire body is tense, and you doubt the tension will leave you any time soon, before you can even realize you already are in an empty classroom and you‘re anxiously waiting for Gojo to say anything.
He clears his throat and takes a step closer towards you, you take a deep breath and step back -you swear you can see a glint of hurt guilt in his eyes- you know that the physical distance won‘t actually put distance between you guys but you don‘t trust yourself being too close to him at the moment, leading to you perfectioning the mask of indifference towards him, even if you feel anything but indifferent towards him on the inside.
His hand grabs the back of his neck and he looks away, probably contemplating his next choice of words. It‘s rare to see Satoru at a loss for words and you didn‘t think you‘d ever be the reason for that but here you were, waiting for him to open his mouth.
Your foot lightly taps on the ground, your pride not letting you even think about being the first to say anything, he was still the one who screwed up so he should take the first step.
After you wait a few more minutes expectantly, you‘re starting to grow disappointed, if he decided he could cut you off from classes and then proceed to just stand there and look at you; you weren‘t gonna have it.
You raise your eyebrow, impatiently before you finally decide you have enough and then make your way back towards the door ready to go back to class.
“Wait..”, you stop and look back at him expectantly, “I’m sorry, okay?”, he grabs your hands and slightly tugs you towards him, “I went too far yesterday, I was angry at the world but then let it out on you, that was wrong of me.”
“I know, Satoru,”, you make no motion to move away from him, “and I understand, but even if I understand, there are certain things I just can’t overlook.”, you sigh, “I’m not a punching bag nor will I let myself get treated like one.”
“And I won’t treat you like that, I promise”, he pleads and steps even closer, “I really mean it when I say I regret it.”, his hands cup your cheeks, “I’m genuinely sorry, y/n.”, and he looks at you with so much sincerity you have to genuinely question if you aren’t dreaming right now; his hands are warm and you suddenly felt like you needed more of this, more of him.
You need to get rid of this thought, you can’t have more of him, no matter how much you want it; Satoru is unattainable like that.
“It’s okay”, you manage to whisper, afraid that if you would speak too loud, you would ruin this bubble the both of you have surrounded yourself with, “well, it’s not okay, but I accept your apology.”, he lets go of your face and smiles brightly, on a whim you decide to grab him by the collar and pull him really close to your face, his smile slips a little and you can see him glance down at your lips, then look back into your eyes. “You pull this shit one more time and I will make sure, there will be no heir of yours”, you whisper your face traitorously getting closer to his, he gulps, “understood?”
“Understood.”, he whispers, the space between your faces getting smaller and smaller.
You let go of his collar and pat out the wrinkles: “good.”, you back away from him and start heading back to your classroom.
As you make your way back to the classroom you don’t spare a single glance back to Satoru, all you can focus on is your heart beating loudly and rapidly as if you had just sprinted through the entirety of Japan, and your mind wanders, you let yourself think about what would’ve happened if you didn’t stop whatever happened in there. Would he have pushed you away? Kissed you back? Those are questions you’ll probably never hear the answer to and you have to almost physically fight yourself from looking back at him; you were afraid that you wouldn’t like whatever is written on his face.
The class is vividly discussing something and you bow to your teacher and apologize, clearly embarassed for being this late. However the teacher just shrugs you off, someone -probably Geto or Haname- explained why you weren‘t there despite your stuff lying on your desk, Satoru is a few steps behind you and grins sheepishly at the teacher, he then stops Satoru him and warns him to solve private issues out of class time.
You have to hold back a shit-eating grin at being treated much nicer than him and Geto doesn‘t even hold his laughter back and you almost start laughing, too. These guys will be the death of you, you can feel it. Geto grins at you, and you know that‘s his way of checking up on you and you feel grateful for him; he was most likely the one to get the stick out of Satoru‘s ass.
While you and Gojo sit down Haname explains what you had missed during the time you were gone, apparently you guys would be divided into different teams for the next three months. It‘s basically going to be a rotation system, where two members of each team will go to two different teams every two weeks; The reason for that being that we need to get used to working with different types of people and training our flexibility, after all the teams weren‘t going to always be the same either when we are grown up.
The two of you look at each other, you knew you didn‘t want to switch teams so early but their reasoning made perfect sense and you could hardly disagree with them.
They were discussing the importancy of team dynamics and what they need to pay attention to even when you aren‘t used to your team members yet; they even made a list of the do‘s and don‘ts when it‘s the first time you‘re working together.
This also led to the big debate going on right now, who would go where in the first round and because the class was being so indecisive the teacher simply decided to draw lots.
While he was drawing the lots Satoru chuckles beside you: „Don‘t worry, y/n, I‘ll take very good care of you, when we‘re going to work together.“ and you groan in response, but he‘s right, you‘ll have to work with this goofy clown for two entire weeks at some point.
He grins and ruffles your hair, leading to you scoffing at him, while Geto chirps in: „He is as bad as he seems.“ and you have to bury your head in your arms in frustration.
Whatever was out there hated you and loved to see you suffer at the hands of Gojo Satoru. At least they took mercy on you and decided that today wouldn’t be the day you’d have to suffer. You almost sigh in relief when your name and someone else's gets called out and it wasn’t Satoru’s.
Another few weeks pass and you have to admit, it’s incredibly exhausting to always get used to new team mates once you get used to the ones you just got paired up with, you at first thought, yes it would be mentally taxing but not to this extent. The entire dynamic changes and with new members, one minute you’re the main act and then the other you’re the support and then the next second you have to save your teammate from getting annihilated by a blast they didn’t see, and then the same game over and over just with other people.
At one point you work together with Geto and you find out you guys actually get along even better now that you weren’t constantly annoyed by the white-haired manchild, they do usually come only in pairs of two, after all. If you were to describe your relationship with one another it would be like two grannies sitting next to each other and gossiping about everyone and everything and you were actually kind of sad when you guys had to part ways but all good things have to come to an end unfortunately.
Just like the good things have to come to an end, the bad things have to show up sometimes too, you think to yourself, while you can only dread your existence for the next two weeks, Satoru is grinning from ear to ear next to you and almost jumping up in excitement. You don’t have enough migraine pills for the upcoming weeks, you were 100% sure of that.
“Hello, partner.”, he stretches out his hand to you, as a form of greeting, with the same grin as before, reluctantly you stare at it before you take it and he abruptly pulls you towards him; you crash against his chest and almost hit him in the chin for being so rash with you. He lifts his hand towards the other person and waves at them: “Yo!”
He has his arms so tightly wrapped around you, that even when you try to push him away, you can’t escape his death grip, ‘at least he smells nice’, you grimace and greet your other partner. He only lets go when your assigned team leader shows up and even then his arm remains wrapped around your shoulder.
The leader frowns a little upon the physical contact but says nothing and you wish you could bury yourself six feet deep; sadly Satoru will never cease to embarass you.
Even when you guys are on missions he keeps calling you weird nicknames and every time he does, another curse would be sent flying towards his direction but this lucky motherfucker doesn’t even have to dodge since his infinity stops them from touching him and it irks you even more, especially when the teacher scolds you afterwards for being reckless and that you shouldn’t throw back curses at your teammates, no matter how annoyed you are.
Today you were sent to a particularly hard mission because, obviously, Gojo Satoru was in your team and the elders decided that since he’s there nothing is impossible. Curses after curses were coming at you, it was like an entire army of them, they weren’t particularly strong but the sheer quantity of them was what exhausted you - no matter how many times you freeze and crush them many more appear, there has to be some kind of power source but even Satoru’s six eyes can’t figure out where its at at the moment; there is so much to analyze, he needs time, is his explanation and you wish his stupid brain could work faster, your output was slowly getting weaker.
Finally he comes up with an idea, he teleports next to you and asks: “Are you capable of freezing the entire area?”, you look around the incredibly large area, it should be doable, but you doubt you’ll be able to stand properly after that but that’s a matter for later.
You nod at him: “Just step behind me.”, you start rushing towards a relatively empty area and wait for everyone else to step behind you. When they are, you freeze absolutely everything, including the walls and ceiling, leaving only the area behind you, where your team is, unfrozen.
Satoru quickly looks around, then teleports away and shortly after the curses that have been surrounding you disappear into thin air; he did it, you smile proudly and then everything starts to spin and you prepare yourself to get down on your knees but you feel strong arms wrap around you holding you steady.
“You okay?”, Satoru’s voice suddenly appears next to you, he must be the one holding you right now.
“I’m fine, give me a second.”, you hold yourself up against his arms; when everything stops spinning you slowly get out of Satoru’s grip only for your knees to finally give in and at lightning speed he is once again holding you securely.
He puts your arms around his shoulders and lifts you up and carries you piggyback style, you rest your head on top of his shoulder, you blame it on your exhaustion although the faint blush on your face could tell everyone else, it wasn’t just because of that. Maybe if you hadn’t closed your eyes to relieve the trembling headache slowly appearing you also would’ve noticed the slight tinge of red on his ears.
Before you even know it, you fell asleep and wake up in the middle of the car ride back to the school, you look at Satoru sitting at the other side of the car, looking out of the window, it seemed like he was thinking about something and you couldn’t help but stare at him. Your eyes wander from his drop dead gorgeous eyes, to the slight crease between his eyebrows then towards the frown on his face that’s usually covered in a smile or grin and it makes you want to frown as well - the mission went well in the end, why does he look so bothered?
“Good work out there.”, you say in an attempt to make that crease between his brows disappear.
He looks at you and then finally smiles: “Good morning, sunshine.”, now he completely turns towards you, “You okay?”, the crease between his eyebrows appears again, “You went off to fantasyland not so long ago.”
“Yeah, I’m fine”, you smile at him, “just used too much of my powers, too quickly, a little rest and I’m back to the usual.”
A little longer than necessary he keeps staring at you, analyzing you and then finally spills out in a sing-song tone: “You went a teensy tiny bit overboard, didn’t you?”
Now you were the one frowning: “You said freeze everything, that’s what I did.”, you shrug, “besides at one point I did have to let out all this pent up frustration I get from working with you.”
Suddenly he grins at you like a pervert: “There are so many different ways to let out your frustration on me and that’s how you decide to do it?”
Your eyes widen in realization and you hit his shoulder: “I did not mean it like that!”, you grimace, “Fucking pervert!”
Unfaced by your hit, he just playfully rolls his eyes and hums: “Uh-uh, sure you didn’t”
Too embarrassed to even look at him anymore you now face the window and have to scoff, leave it to him to ruin any type of nice moment between you guys and you can see from the reflection of the window, he still has that shit-eating grin on his face - how you wish you had slept through the entire car ride now.
When you arrive back at the school you still feel slightly wobbly on your feet but it definitely was better than before, the driver told you to go and visit the infirmary just in case and of course Satoru volunteered to bring you there; if you were strong enough to properly walk on your own, you definitely would have protested with your entire might but you weren’t really in a place to argue so you just let it be and used Satoru like a crutch and weirdly enough he let you.
Once you were in the infirmary they did a general check up on you and already sent you back to your dorm telling you, you just need to charge up again.
Satoru insists on walking you back to your room and wraps one arm around your waist, you stare at him in confusion.
“You do know I can walk by myself now?”, and attempt to wiggle yourself out of his arms.
He doesn’t let you go and just smiles: “No risks; better to be safe than sorry.”, he winks at you and you swear you could feel his arms wrap even tighter around you.
If you or someone else would ask you ‘When did you get so used to him always touching you in one way or another’, you wouldn’t have an answer to that; it just happened, when or how, you didn’t know either, all you know is at some point it felt odd not having his hand somewhere on your body whenever you were together.
Satoru brought you to your room and when you prepare to thank him and say goodbye to him he walks past you and just sprawls on top of your bed, without a single care and you just stare at him, too shocked to do anything else.
A few seconds later you finally get a grip on yourself and scowl: “Out of my bed, Gojo.”, your eyebrows furrowing in annoyance.
He just moves a little more to the side, probably making room for you, “Don’t wanna”, he pouts and pats the spot next to him, initiating that you should just lie next to him.
‘He’s going insane’, you think to yourself, there was no other explanation for this random clingy behavior; you were sure that if you’re going to lie down next to him you would be going insane as well and sigh, “did you hit your head?”, your head tilts slightly to the left in a questioning manner.
He moves his head towards your general direction and opens one of his eyes, he doesn’t say anything but his facial expression definitely says ‘are you being serious right now?’; you look at him with the same expression until you finally realize he isn’t going to move any time soon.
“At least take off your shoes on my bed”, you grumble and step towards your occupied bed and lie down next to him.
Satoru quickly takes off his shoes and then lies back down facing you, the two of you were so close that whenever you guys breathe out you’d feel the other person's breath on your face and it takes everything inside of you not to freak out or curse at Satoru for putting you guys in this awkward position - two people in a bed made for one person.
At some point you close your eyes and try to sleep but you can’t; not when you know Satoru is lying right there in front of you in your own bed. The two of you weren’t actually touching but it sure didn’t feel like it, instead it felt more like he was touching your entire soul, his presence consuming all of your senses and at one point the only thought you were capable of thinking is ‘Gojo Satoru’.
In frustration you turn around, your back is facing him now - a weak attempt to escape his presence - you perfectly know it’s useless but you’re tired and your head is aching and all you wish is to sleep.
Finally you get used to the heat and soft snoring behind you, at some point it even seems like a lullaby and you drift off to sleep.
When you wake up the first thing you notice is the lack of warmth next to you. You turn around to the spot Satoru lied in earlier, of course he left, before you could even wake up. It was a weird situation to begin with but you still can’t help but taste the sour aftertaste it leaves on your tongue. Satoru isn’t the type to stay, you don’t even know why you’d delude yourself into thinking he would in the first place.
Your warm feet hit the cold ground and you almost wrap yourself in your blanket again but just put on your slippers and a sweatshirt from your closet until you get ready and dressed for the training ground today - the classes today will focus on physical combat and honestly, you were in need of pummeling something to the ground today.
Haname, as always picks you up and you walk together; you contemplated telling her what happened last night but telling her would mean it is a big deal - and it isn’t, you convince yourself. Gojo was just tired after carrying you back to the car and then dragging you to the infirmary so he decided to nap in your room and leave as soon as he got up, it’s completely sensable.
She interrupts your train of thought when she asks: “How was your mission yesterday?”, she nudges you, “I heard you exhausted yourself completely.”
“I’m okay,” you sigh, “just went a little overboard. Not really that bad or anything.”, and nudged her back as a comfort.
The look she gives you clearly says that she doesn’t believe you and gives you a once over before she decides to drop the topic, noticing that you don’t really want to dwell on it.
You look around and see some of your other classmates gathered, some are sitting on the ground and some are warming up and stretching; you decide to follow them and gesture to Haname that you are going to start stretching and she joins you quickly.
You decide to stretch your legs and sit down and touch your toes with your hand, after a few times someone pushes you from behind deeper towards your toes and you curse at them ready to punch whoever is messing with you like this.
Gojo’s wide jerkish grin greets you, you push him away and flip him off - the audacity of this guy. For a second you consider asking why he left but you decide it’s not worth mentioning and you once again push down the tight feeling in your throat.
Geto is right behind him cackling while you glare at him: “Piss me off and you’re next.”, you scowl. They really are going to be the key reasons if you ever switch to the dark side.
These two don’t stop, though instead they join you and sit right beside you; one mosquito on each side. At first you try to ignore them and go back to stretching but then they decide to - as childish as they are - make faces at one another and basically yell loud jokes and there’s only a certain amount of patience you have and you’re running out of it.
You flick the both of them on their forehead: “either stretch or go somewhere else.”, you glare.
They stare at each other for a few seconds and then they continue to bother you; one pokes your cheek while the other pokes your side and then Gojo asks, while he's digging his finger deeper into your cheek: “What’s gotten you so grumpy today, hmm?”
A loud scoff leaves your lips: “How can I not?”, you slap their fingers away, “it’s way too early for your shenanigans.”
The both of them chuckle and you wonder what you have ever done to deserve this until they both get slapped by someone on the back of their head: “leave the poor girl alone.”, the teacher scolds them and you sincerely thank him before you grin at the both of them in satisfaction.
They both grumble but don’t say anything else - they better not- they’re already on your bad side today, you weren’t sure if you could handle more of their relentless pestering.
The class immediately starts after this incident and you can finally let out some of your inner pent up anger.
In your head the training dummy is Gojo and he gets the beating of his life; it’s almost therapeutic to beat up dummy!Gojo and you really wish you could do this more often.
Your life continues the same as always: you attend classes, train, sometimes go on missions, are pestered by dumb (Geto) and dumber (Gojo). Well in Geto’s defense; he’s okay sometimes, especially because he’s the one who stops Gojo from overstepping too much but he sure loves teasing you too and they don’t miss out on their daily intake of annoying you.
Now you guys have reached your second year at Jujutsu High, sadly not all of you have made it and when the first one of your classmates died you felt like the world is about to end but you had to recover and continue this path; you knew sorcerers die daily and sometimes it’s the ones you know.
Everything went fine and you had your daily routine, you had improved massively compared to your first year and even got promoted to Grade 1 - you’ll probably become a special grade in the future if you manage to get a better hold of your reverse curse technique.
Then the incident happened and you weren’t really sure if things were fine by then. Satoru and Geto failed their mission and Geto started to spiral into someone you didn’t recognize as Geto. When you first heard of it you tried your best to console him but nothing you ever said really went to his head and you decided to let him; it was something he had to realize on his own.
As it turns out leaving him alone wasn’t the best of ideas because not long after Geto steps towards the wrong path and kills more than 100 people and turns towards the wrong path. You wish you could scream at him, beat him, do anything to make him regret his actions but he had chosen his path and now he was considered to be your enemy.
Gojo was even more closed off right after this, even more unapproachable, yes he still talked and bothered you to no end but you knew he had closed off his heart and had his walls up as high as possible. He hid himself behind his mask of cheeriness and dumbassery but you couldn’t stop him.
Today was another day you were paired up with Satoru, the only difference now to before is that he didn’t bother with team effort; he’d kill the curse in a few seconds and call it a day.
You grumble at him: “Y’know, you can at least try to let us take part in exorcizing the curse.”, you raise your eyebrows in annoyance.
He shrugs: “it’s not my fault, nor is it yours. I’m simply out of your league.”, he grins and you weren’t sure if he just said that to get under your skin or actually meant it.
Your head shakes in response: “It’s still a team effort, Satoru.”, you scoff, “how am I ever supposed to increase my reverse curse technique efficiency if you always clear the job by yourself.”
He just walks away from you before he turns his head around to face you and smirks: “Now that’s not my responsibility is it?”, he interlocks his hands behind his head and you wish you could kick his knee caps, “besides, look at this from a positive perspective - i finished the job for the both of us.”
“I wouldn’t be attending Jujutsu High if I wanted others to do the job for me”, you grumble and slap his arm in offense.
He chuckles and shakes his head: “Chill, once in a while you can lie low and let me handle it.”
You grumble at him but don’t respond anymore - it’s pointless to argue with Satoru; he'd never bother to see your point of view, not anymore at least. Another thing that had changed; you knew it wasn’t really his fault but there’s only so many times you can excuse him.
At one point you do point out his changed behavior; it was a normal Saturday evening, you were on the way to his family's household to finalize the small details of your engagement party, the car ride was silent - which already was unusual in itself but you expected some complaints from Satoru and it took one faint bitter chuckle on your side for him to question what’s wrong and you drop the bomb on him.
“You changed, Satoru, in some ways for the better, in some for the worse.”, you point out.
He didn’t take it that well; he furrowed his eyebrows in anger and scoffed: “Yeah, it’s called growing up, maybe you should try it, too.”
“You know exactly, that is not what I meant”, you roll your eyes, he knows what you mean he’s just deflecting.
“Maybe, it’s none of your business, y/n?”, he snarls and it feels like he punched you right in the guts; you had expected this but still nothing could prepare your heart for this, “Nobody asks you to care for me or my -apparent- lack of emotional well being”, he snarls defensively.
“But I do care, Satoru!”, you respond, or maybe even yell back, you don’t know, you mostly hear your thumping heartbeat and not your own voice.
He rolls his eyes: “Well then fucking stop,”, he scoffs, “it’s annoying.”
It felt like he stabbed you in the guts, took out your organs and tried to put them back in in the wrong places; you know you relationship to one another is complicated, one time you try to murder the other and another time you’re joking around as if you never had a care in the world and despite these complications you thought he cared -at least to a certain degree- about you, but Gojo loves proving you wrong it seems.
A switch got turned off inside of you and your entire demeanor changed - Gojo wasn’t the only one with his walls up now.
You snicker coldly: “You’re right, caring about you isn’t worth it.”
For a faint second you swear you saw something flicker in his eyes but you refuse to believe it was actually real and it was just all in your head - he doesn’t care, he has proven that already.
He turns back around to face the front and the car is once again filled with silence.
You don’t even want to speak anymore but you had to settle at least one thing: “Remember to act when we’re at your place.”, you sigh, hoping he listens to you for once in his life. “I don’t want to hear our parents nagging us because we can’t get a grip.”
He doesn’t turn around but you can see him nod stiffly - at least you’re on the same page on this matter.
Not long after you arrived at his mansion and you almost felt like hurling out of the car; it felt too exhausting to be in there - it took everything inside of you to wait for Gojo to open the door for you.
When he opened the door, he held out his hand - the same tense expression on his face as earlier and you almost grimaced at him; nonetheless you took his hand and stepped out of the car. You were stiffer than a stick to release the tension, you take a deep breath and try to relax.
‘This is going to be terrible’, you sigh to yourself and a coldness fills you the same way Satoru’s cold hand is wrapped around yours.
One of the servants greets you and invites you in, you glance at Gojo out of habit but he doesn’t even bother looking at you and stares straight ahead. You hold back an eye roll - if this man could be any more stubborn you’d actually blast your own head off.
He puts his arm around your shoulder and you have to tense up, it feels weird to be at odds with Gojo and yet so close to him; you two couldn’t be any closer and further apart at the same time.
He silently whispers: “C’mon, we don’t have all day” and guides you to the dining room.
Once inside you both greet each other's family and sit down to eat; not long after the plans already begin - the choice of flowers, other decorations and so much more, well it’s not like you had much of a choice just like almost everything else that involved your and Gojo’s future. It was incredibly frustrating but you knew it was to no avail - you’d just have to bite your tongue.
The evening is getting worse and worse and the more time passes the more you’re tapping your foot impatiently - you just want to get home as fast as possible and sleep; all you want to do is sleep.
Every time someone commented on something Satoru would give passive-aggressive back-handed compliments towards you, like “weed would look best on y/n” or “she should wear something bright to balance out her personality” and you’re one comment away from actually slapping him - he’s going too far with his sappiness.
When they’re finally done with everything you almost jump out of your seat until Gojo’s mother looks at you with those pleading puppy eyes and you curse your nice heart for always bending to other people’s wills.
You keep staying for even longer than necessary; to the point your back even starts to hurt and you’re almost close to begging Gojo to leave; gladly he beats you to it when he slaps his thighs and calls it a night - you would kiss him thank you if he wasn’t the reason why you were in such a sour mood.
The moment you leave the house you speed walk towards the car - you couldn’t handle anymore of his nasty comments nor his nasty attitude; you just want, scratch that, you need to get away from him.
Without a word you sit down in the car and wait for the driver to start driving. You were beyond pissed but mostly hurt, you wanted to scream at Gojo but it wasn’t worth it, he wasn’t worth it, at least not anymore.

Cult of the sacrificial lamb ♡
Tumblr media
a/n: there is no actual lamb cult, I just like the title 😭 nsfw, mentioning their cock and titty sizes lmao

★poka and juniper the Valais black nose's: the twins are inseparable. You need to bathe one but it's not the other's bath time yet? Suck it up then, 'cause they're both going in the tub now. No guarantee you won't get splashed with water. Poka is colorblind, and juniper is.. interesting. Who knows what's wrong her. The only way you can tell the difference between them is through their eyes. Who's blind and who isn't.
Physical appearance: they're both dark skinned with loosely curly black hair. At this point you should give them a haircut. Juniper has green eyes and poka has blue eyes. Juniper is 130 lbs, while poka is 120 lbs. (Juni's packing some pretty big milkers, DD cup bra. Poka got a 6 incher) 5'5
★violet the harri: violet is a little violent. Her name suits her. Kinda. You could be busy doing your chores and she'd tackle whoever decided to come within a 15 foot radius of your location. She likes to bite too, they out multiple muzzles on her only for her to chew through them. She's only ever docile with you, kinda. Just ignore the multiple bite marks around your arms.
Physical appearance: B cup, 140lbs, white long hair, pale as fuck, and violet eyes, 5'3
★azucar the Columbia sheep: I was hesitant to put azucar here since she's 17, legally a minor. I won't do any nsfw content with her because it makes me uncomfy. She can be the sweetest hybrid you ever met or the meanest. No in-between. Her moods flip like a light switch, unpredictable. She'll cuss you out in Spanish and then t-bag you. Talk about a hormonal teenager
Physical appearance: c cup, 137 lbs, curly white hair, pale skin, black eyes, 5'4
★wehrner the American black belly: he has daddy vibes, like he could bend you over his knee and spank your ass because you didn't address him as 'sir'. Bastard. You often catch him shamelessly fapping behind a tree in the fields, even when you freeze and stare at his impressive dick he doesn't stop, instead, inviting you to join him. And that's the story of how he got the cone of shame.
Appearance: 8 incher, 150 lbs, 5'7, long black and brown hair, grey eyes, peach skin, large horns curled around his ears
★Sally the angora goat: 'it's earthworm Sally! Carrying diseases from Florida to Cali!' That is her theme song fr. She's been fooling around with the neighboring farm's ram's so much you doubt she isn't carrying a couple STDs and maybe rabies too. Although she is very bubbly and cheerful, she just starts so much unnecessary drama with the other animals
Appearance: curly long white hair, pale skin, red eyes, D cup, 120 lbs, 5'6
★opal the Tennessee fainting goat: she's so tiny, and mean. She bit your ass and chest so many times you're always looking around your surroundings before entering the fields. Although recently you discovered a rather popular way to stun her and run away
Appearance: black straight hair (I bet she has split ends), peach colored skin, tiny horns on her head, 90 lbs, 4'10, A cup
★sasha the Australian cashmere goat: Sasha is quiet and stoic, but she doesn't hesitate to step in Incase somebody wants to start a fight. She's Kim's second favorite female (you're the first ofcourse)
Appearance: fluffy platinum blonde hair, pale skin, black eyes, small horns sprout from her head, B cup, 152 lbs, 5'9
★kim the dutch landrace goat: Kim can either be your angle or your debil. Yes that misspelling was intentional. More than once has he tried humping you, even convincing the girls to try and help him, except you keep running away. STOP RUNNING AWAY. Is it so bad he wants to impregnate you with his children!?
Appearance: long silky black-blond hair, bro is ripped, large horns curl around his head, 160 lbs, 5'11, 7 incher

Hey! Do you think you could write some NSFW headcanons for Widow, Mercy, Kiriko, Lifeweaver and Genji (gender neutral afab reader) please? Feel free to ignore if that's too many characters or if you just don't want to do it. Have a great day, and don't forget to drink water dear author!
Sure! I did my best, sorry they’re all so short. I just didn’t want a super long post 😅
Tumblr media
Widowmaker NSFW
She can quite literally take you out in ‘one shot’ you’re not certain how exactly she does it, but she touches you in all the right places in quick succession and finds exactly where you need her most in just an instant. You’ve lasted about thirteen seconds at most with this technique of hers, and it was quickly banned from the bedroom unless you asked for it
She’s a very hard biter, like she doesn’t realize she needs to be a bit more gentle. You often wonder if she thinks she’s actually going to inject venom into your bloodstream this way
Eerily quiet responses toward any pleasure, even if you’re doing everything right she makes it hard to tell if you’re doing anything at all. So she tends to be the one in charge, that way you don’t end up questioning your capabilities or doubting her reactions
A slowed heartbeat seems to increase her stamina, though. It’s only somewhat annoying, especially in addition to her lack of emotion toward intimate times. But you refuse to believe she’s not feeling anything at all, either— otherwise she wouldn’t be stepping on you ‘for fun’ unprompted, or initiating half of these encounters
Tumblr media
Mercy NSFW
An unpredictable switch— everything that happens in the bedroom is a flip on a coin based on what she’s feeling and when. You never know if you’re about to give or receive, but either way it’s extremely rewarding and it’s hard to discern any complaints out of a night with Angela
She is pretty vocal, makes the nicest noises and lewd sounds you’ve probably ever heard. She definitely sounds like an angel, and it’s worth every touch to hear her sound off while completely red in the face
Maybe a bit too in love with pegging you. As a doctor and being very knowledgeable about the body, she’s rather enthusiastic toward loosening you up and talking about safety before giving you the ramming of a lifetime. Certain recommended positions even relieved your back pains somewhat, to your astonishment
She highly prefers to schedule these exchanges, rather than doing them on a whim. She refuses the ideas of quickies or anything with risk— especially in communal/public areas. You’d need to absolutely guarantee no one will be walking in or she might not ever forgive you for the embarrassment
Tumblr media
Kiriko NSFW
Absolutely a brat, and we all know this. You’re not getting anything done without force or a trade, and she clearly relishes in those methods— always a “no” or a “why”, and then the “what will I get in return?”
Hugely into degrading and she’ll meet you halfway, criticizing your every move as if it doesn’t have her writhing in euphoria. She’s mostly in control of the sounds she makes, but when you get enough of a rise out of her the high-pitched noises are totally worth the struggle to get them in the first place. But she tries really hard to pretend like you don’t have an effect on her
She totally abuses her abilities to make you both finish faster, and especially against your will if you intended to take your time. Everything she does in bed is completely in spite of you— you’re fighting to earn the outcome you want, so hopefully you’re up for that kind of challenge
Her attitude is to make up for her low libido, and especially in her inability to last very long. She’s super sensitive, but she’ll never admit it. You’ll figure this out sooner than later though, and she’ll put up even more of a fight with a smirk on her face before you get anywhere near the brink of relief
Tumblr media
Lifeweaver NSFW
Undoubtedly has a preference for being on bottom, but absolutely more than capable of being a top if he’s in the mood for it.
He’s sort of a pillow princess, likes having all the work be done for him. Much more of a receiver than he is a giver, but only in intimate moments— he’s much more giving outside of private moments that heavily lack clothing
But he is extraordinarily talented with his mouth, and he knows this. Yet he won’t offer such services without being asked politely, which must include a ‘please’ or he may remind you of your manners. It’s all in good fun though, he likely wouldn’t have refused either way (please ride his face)
He makes a lot of sounds, though they’re always muffled by his hand or pillow— or you. He also super loves using rope for things, like being restrained, and shibari. He gets more excited when he’s trapped and vulnerable in front of someone he likes
And while he’s a gentle top, he makes sure to return every favor you’ve given him on the occasions he does take over. These sessions last significantly longer than when he’s on the receiving end— edging turns out to be a specialty of his. And along the way, he’s more than happy to remind you of your previously indulgent behaviors
Tumblr media
More Genji NSFW
Genji is still Genji, and even under all that metal he’s still pretty full of himself. So he totally, secretly, has a mask kink, and goes a bit feral when you wear his helm along with a lingerie or something else enticing (maybe even his hoodie lol). There’s just something about seeing his own visor on you that makes him want to pounce
I don’t imagine he’s super into wireplay/anything that has to do with his mechanics, but he’s not against it. He’s fine with it enough and appreciates you’d find these parts of him just as attractive, it just doesn’t get him going as much as other things do. He will happily indulge you though.
He’s dangerously easy to arouse. Drop one hint, playful or not (but only after the first few intimate exchanges) and he will find someplace to make it quick. Of course, he’s fluent in consent, so he’ll back off if you really were only joking. But otherwise you may often find yourself getting that super-enhanced-ninja special in the strangest secluded areas
And he makes it his job to make sure you cum before he does. On occasion he slips up, and if you’re competitive like that then it can be pretty 50/50. But he praises himself as a gentleman who treats his lover with the utmost care, and will deliver to you everything he has before taking you for his own pleasure

I’ve seen my fair share of…interesting BOSAS takes (Tigris and Snow’s relationship doesn’t make sense, Sejanus wasn’t important to Coriolanus/Coriolanus’ character, Dean Highbottom was inconsistent, people just called Lucy Gray Lucy instead of LG or something, etc) but never has one irked me as much as people saying the ending was rushed or out of character or didn’t make sense.
The ending is a representation of their whole relationship. Yeah, it’s rushed, because it lasted 3 months and they were prepared to spend their life together after that. No, it was completely in character. Yes, it made total sense, because what else would have convinced Coriolanus to go back, if not the idea that he was safe?
First off, elaborating on the rushed point, be so fr. 1, the book was getting a bit long anyways, and 2, it couldn’t have been long and drawn out. How quick their relationship crumbled and we were shown Coriolanus’ true loyalties shows so much I can’t even begin to explain it, but I’ll try.
It shows how Lucy Gray valued family and trust. She’d already talked about how much trust mattered to her, and she’d been hurt so badly before she needed it. She needs trust, and she doesn’t just need it for herself. She needs to be able to trust him, and she needs him to be able to trust her. When Coriolanus obviously lied about the third person he killed, Lucy Gray realized that neither of those things were there.
It shows how Coriolanus valued himself and the capitol above all else. He was going to, and tried to, kill Lucy Gray. The person who, just 10 minutes ago he was prepared to spend the rest of his life with. He did that because he couldn’t be guaranteed loyalty, and because he realized she definitely didn’t belong to him. Coriolanus’ view of Lucy Gray- that she’s a pet, or something just for him, is entirely effed up and he can’t see that, so he clings to it. He clings to that idea of her being his and when it’s proven false, he can’t let go of it.
Lucy Gray was there when Coriolanus lied to her about the killing, and there was only one person he could have also killed. She was wary of him then, what he was capable of, but she didn’t know for sure where his loyalty truly laid until she saw the look on his face with the guns. She knew then that the Coriolanus standing before her she couldn’t trust, and she knew what that meant, and Coriolanus knew she knew what that meant and he couldn’t deal with the fact she wasn’t completely infatuated with him.
It’s also worthy to mention how easily Coriolanus started to see Lucy Gray differently. He justified his killing of her to himself, as we see in the whole “she’s a victor, maybe Billy taupe was right, etc” page. He thinks that it may have been an act all along, and can’t deal with the fact he fell in love with someone who could turn on him so easily. So he justifies it and makes stuff up and uses all he can to convince himself of the devilish nature of Lucy Gray.
Coriolanus’ deep, unwavering faith in the capitol is shown here so clearly I feel like it’s bleeding into my eyes. He was so ready to leave her (also how he thought she’d be ok with it also proves how he sees her as completely loyal) when he realized he was basically innocent. He is only ever scared of the capitol when it could harm him.
Their whole relationship was a whirlwind, and could never have had a breakup 3 chapters long. It needed to be quick and easy, all ties cut. The fate of Lucy Gray also needed to be a mystery, because nothing else in his life is. The constant worrying of if she’d ever tell, if she’s alive or not, blah blah blah unsettles him just like he deserves it to. We don’t get an answer to if Lucy Gray came back (probably not though), we don’t even get an answer if she’s alive.
In conclusion, the end of BOSAS was very fitting, and though unpredictable and fast, it was right.

If only you would have trusted me (Simon "Ghost" Riley メ Female "Cobra" Sergeant)
A/N: MW 3 broke me, don't talk to me
Summary: Makarov blackmailed you into joining his army and Task Force 141 thinks you betrayed them without hesitation. Once Ghost and Soap find Milena and you, Ghost finally confronts you about letting him down.
Warnings: curse, angst, guilt, fight, betrayal,
Wordcount: 4.7k
”I thought I was someone whom you could trust because you can be sure as hell that I still trust you with my life. Whether you like it or not."
Tumblr media
You knew this moment was coming once Laswell had let you know that Makarov escaped the gulag and was on the move.
You didn’t want it to happen but your job wasn’t famous for making guarantees. Especially with crazy terrorists who wouldn’t stop until the world fell to its knees in front of them.
And Makarov was just like that.
Ruthless, smart, cruel and unpredictable.
While running from location to location, you started to feel getting lost. There were too many dead ends while Makarov was playing with Task Force 141 as he’d wished.
Ghost noticed how much you’d changed since Makarov broke out and wasted no time in getting his hands dirty.
You’d heard stories of him before Price and Soap managed to capture him once 4 years ago which ended in agony and cost a lot of innocent lives. You’d dealt with all kinds of criminals who wanted to build their throne out of corpses but Makarov was by far the worst and most dangerous one.
With each mission you’d went to with the others, the less your voice could be heard. You were silent and kept checking every corner while wondering how could you finally make a step forward.
There were times when you were seated with Ghost and his favorite sniper to watch the others’ back, and while laying on the ground for hours, the lieutenant tried to get you to talk but you weren’t too bulged.
You hadn’t noticed because you were too focused on your task but Ghost always kept an eye on you when you were in his sight. He’d seen this kind of dedication before, so he understood where your change of heart had come from but he didn’t want you to completely forget who you truly were before.
He’d hated to admit but he would have done anything to bring you back to the surface. It’s been too long since he had heard your laugh or seen your beautiful smile. Hell, he even started to miss those moments when you’d happily join Soap and push his buttons while making fun of Brits.
Ghost couldn’t stand your silence, he liked listening to your voice even while you were only making small chats with him through the coms.
What Ghost had never expected – or anyone else for that matter – was you suddenly disappearing without a word and hearing from a source that you’ve been seen on Makarov’s side.
At first, he was confused and kept denying it but when Price told him that it wasn’t some sort of plan for you to get involved with the Russians, Ghost felt like someone punched him in the chest.
You’d left willingly without a word, and the next thing he knew, you were working under the hands of the enemy.
He was overwhelmed with your betrayal, he was sad, furious, and desperate to find an explanation for your treachery.
What Ghost and the others didn’t know was that Makarov had his eye on you since he escaped from the gulag. Firmly, because you knew Milena from before, and she knew that you were an unstoppable sergeant.
Makarov wanted to break Task Force 141 from the inside before he would grab a gun to put a bullet into everyone’s head, so he ordered his men to do their research on you.
It didn’t take them too long to find your family, even though you tried your best over the years to make it seem like you didn’t have them. You’d never once talked to anyone about your sister and mother who always waited for you to go home, who were always worried about you whenever you departed and had been gone for months while fighting terrorists.
For the first time in your life you didn’t know what to do, you wanted to tell Price and the others that Makarov had captured your family and gave you no choice but the Russian’s intentions were crystal clear. If you’d told anyone about this, he’d kill your family and would blame it all on Task Force 141.
You even thought about telling Ghost that Makarov had found you and backed you in the corner but you knew if the lieutenant would have found out about any of this, he’d never let you go.
Ever since you joined Makarov, the guilt has been eating you from inside, especially whenever your friends’ name was thrown around as Makarov was planning his next move.
Makarov has been calling you ’Rynda’ ever since you gave yourself up to him which you absolutely despised. Since you were his only living connection to Task Force 141, he’d given you the task of always letting him know what the special forces’s next move might be.
”Like the bell ringing when danger is around the corner,” Makarov had said back then with a wicked smile on his lips. ”I don’t want you to disappoint me, Rynda.”
”I won’t.”
Your words might have caused satisfaction in the man but your tongue was burning with the forced promise you’d had to make to him. Your skin was crawling each time he touched you and his voice crept through your ears like venom.
You hated being Milena’s present. Makarov didn’t want any women on the battlefield but he admired your strength and skills, so he ordered you to always stick to Milena and watch her back. Without his financial support, he would have had some problems getting into this whole capture-or-kill scenario.
Milena always made a sound of her whines about how she hated that you were practically babysitting her. Don’t worry, I hate it too, you’d thought.
Whenever you were alone you missed the guys, missed Price being a father figure to you, missed Gaz making fun of your looks after a horribly executed plan, missed Soap teaching you Scottish, and missed Ghost for… for being himself and keeping you under his wing.
”I admire your dedication, really,” Milena called from the other side of the room.
”Do you?”
Milena glanced up from her papers and searched your face.
”Yes, I’m surprised you betrayed your people right away and did everything Vladimir ordered you to.”
”He didn’t give me much of a choice, did he?” you asked and crossed your arms. You hated that she was able to think that you betrayed your second family easily while in reality, it was wearing you down in every way possible.
You were sure you’d never be able to look into their eyes if you saw them again.
”He knows how to win people over.”
You cleared your throat and narrowed your eyes.
”Or to force them to do something that would benefit him.”
Milena was one delusional woman, you were sure of that. You hated how spineless she was and how easily she could get under your skin within seconds.
If Makarov wasn’t so intimidating then you would have already punched her whenever she said a bad word to you. You would have enjoyed it for sure.
Gunshots and shouting emerged from the other side of the building which made you tense right away.
”What the hell?” Milena asked as she stood up and walked to the wall where the security cameras were shown.
You took a few steps, examining the figures that appeared, and felt the color drain from your face.
You wished you would have mistook them for someone else but after serving with them for years, there was no way you wouldn’t recognize them.
It was Soap and Ghost.
Your heart was hammering in your chest, and your stomach turned when you saw Soap getting closer and closer to the door that stood behind you.
With trembling hands, you grabbed your gun and spun on your heel just when the Scots opened the door.
”Special forces, show your hands!”
Raising your guns at the same time, you faced your best friend whose eyes softened the second they found you.
”Cobra…”
It’s been so long since anyone called you that, you almost dropped your gun.
Then you forced yourself to remember your family whose life was on you and how you act now, so you tightened your grip on the cold metal.
”I’d advise you to turn around and leave, Soap.”
Soap lowered his gun while his face dropped in sadness. Your voice was cold and distant, something you’d never used toward him before. You’d only given this treatment to your enemies.
”That’s not going to happen, you know it.”
”I’ll shoot you,” you said, trying to hide your nervousness as he kept your stare.
”You won’t.”
Gritting your teeth, you took a step forward, keeping the gun at him as Milena looked at you in fury.
”What are you waiting for? Shoot him for fuck’s sake!”
No matter how hard you tried, your finger couldn’t touch the trigger. Your heart didn’t let that happen.
Memories flooded and invaded your mind as you looked at John MacTavish who was your favorite partner in crime. Moments of him making you laugh and calming you down after losing a battle made your hands shake in defeat.
You didn’t want to do any of this but you had no choice.
When Soap realized you were not going to shoot him, he let out a small sigh, grabbed one of the chairs, and pushed it forward, his eyes finding Milena.
”Sit.”
You didn’t want to admit but you missed the way Soap could talk coldly to those who were on the other side.
”Fuck you.” Milena spat in hatred.
Soap kept his gaze and gun firmly, his voice leaving no room for argument.
”Sit down, Milena.”
Milena gave you a deadly glare before dropping her hands and taking a seat. You couldn’t say a word, it seemed like your voice ceased to exist.
”Where is your boss?” Soap asked sharply.
”I don’t have a boss. No one tells me what to do.” Milena said and you almost scoffed. Only if her words were true.
Soap glared at her for a while before turning around when heavy footsteps broke the silence. You lowered your hands, sweat appearing on your skin as you noticed a familiar tall figure moving in the shadows.
Soap turned around when Ghost walked through the door with a laptop in his hand.
”She’s not talking.”
As Ghost’s familiar dark eyes met yours, he stopped walking and you felt your heart skip a beat. Just like every other time he’d looked at you, you felt exposed and small.
Ghost’s eyes never left you as you tried to catch your breath. His eyes held many emotions, such as surprise, melancholy, and distance.
You hated the way he was looking at you like you were someone else. Like you weren’t someone who was close to him like you weren’t the sergeant who was never afraid to be honest and open with him.
Before you could realize that there was nowhere to run from him, he blinked and walked over to the table.
”She’s about to,” he grunted and put the laptop down on the table, and walked to the other side of the room.
Not wanting to look into his eyes again, you focused on Soap who opened the white laptop and extended his hand to Milena who was sitting still like a rock.
”Give me your hand.”
”Why? Or else you’ll cut it off?” Milena asked.
”Your friend over there knows that it’s true when I say to you that it’s not my style,” Soap said glancing at you from the corner of his eyes. Then tilted his head in Ghost’s direction. ”He might.”
Milena seemed to lose her patience with each second that passed by.
”Why the mask?” she snapped.
You almost rolled your eyes at the question you seemed to hear a million times.
”To hide my face.” Ghost answered with cold eyes.
You were surprised he answered even though it was an obvious and useless response.
You felt Ghost’s eyes finding you again, making your skin burn as you dropped your gaze. You were intimidated by his presence and not because you were afraid of him but because you knew for sure that you hurt his feelings when you left.
You wished you weren’t here to live through this unwanted confrontation. A part of you was happy to see them but your heart was aching by the disappointed and hurtful looks you received from them.
”Cobra.” Ghost called after you as you turned your head away. His voice reached your bones immediately and you hated how much you missed your callsign falling off his lips.
”Don’t call me that,” you said dryly, turning back to him.
Ghost gave you a challenging look as he pushed himself away from the wall and closed the distance between you two. With each step he took, you felt your chest tighten with anticipation and guilt. You wanted to look somewhere else but he firmly held your gaze.
He always did and that hasn’t changed.
”How about we give these two birds a few minutes to find a way to cooperate with each other?” Ghost asked and you felt your eyes widen.
”I’m not leaving Milena.”
Ghost gave you a meaningful look and took the gun from your hand with such ease that wasn’t surprising to either of you.
”Yes, you are.”
Remembering that you weren’t supposed to leave Milena’s sight for even a second, you felt panic and annoyance wash over you.
”You can’t just order me around. Not anymore.” You said in a cold tone that made Ghost shift in his place.
Without saying a word, he grabbed your elbow and pulled you with him as he made his way to the other door that led to another empty room.
”Hey! Get your fucking hand off of me!” You shouted in frustration and tried to free yourself from his grasp but Ghost easily dragged you with him through the door and kicked it shut with his foot.
You let out a desperate groan as you grabbed his wrist, trying to pry it off of your arm which seemed tiny compared to his.
You bit into your lower lip as you tried your best to move his fingers but he wasn’t moving an inch.
”Cobra…” his voice was calmer and more thoughtful now that you were alone with him.
You didn’t look at him, only let out a defeated sigh and stopped fighting, your skin slightly aching.
”This hurts.”
Ghost glanced down at his hand still holding onto you and let go of you the second you’d admitted your physical pain. Hurting you was something he never intended to do.
Hissing, you brought your arm to your chest and touched it with your other hand, and turned away from him. You didn’t trust yourself when he was alone with you.
”What are you doing, Cobra?” Ghost asked from behind you and you closed your eyes. Hearing confusion and disappointment hiding in his voice made you feel guiltier than before.
”That’s none of your concern anymore, Ghost.” You replied still facing the wall.
Taking deep breaths you tried your best to collect your thoughts as you heard him walk closer to you, dropping your gun to the table standing next to you.
”It is.”
His voice circled around you like clouds darkening the sky before the storm.
”Why did you leave?”
You pressed your lips against each other and turned around. You got used to his menacing presence coming firstly from his height. You felt small and weak because you knew he could see right through you.
”People change, Lieutenant. You better get used to it.”
”People change that’s for sure. But don’t betray and stab others in the back just like that. A decision like this never comes from a single thought.”
You hated how much he tried to get into your mind, still trying to find answers to his questions that have probably been burning in him since the day you left.
”I refuse to believe that after everything that happened, you’d willingly just switch sides, I know you. And I know how much you despise traitors,” his eyes never left you as he was speaking.
You didn’t say a word, not when you were on the edge of breaking down.
”Talk to me, Cobra.” Ghost said, his voice quiet.
”I can’t,” you shook your head. ”Why don’t you just do your job and get out of here?”
”I’m not leaving until you say something to me.”
”There is nothing for me to say, especially to you.”
Ghost felt his chest tighten at your coldness. He would have never expected you to speak to him this way. Not after how long it took for you two to finally let your guard down around each other.
”Don’t say things you don’t mean.”
”I do, Ghost. Believe it or not, I’m not part of the special forces anymore, so either shoot me or get out of my face.”
”You really think I’d hurt you?” he asked, his voice low and sad.
”You eliminate targets and now I’m one too,” you crossed your arms, trying to look confident.
”I know why you’re pushing me,” he narrowed his eyes. ”And I know for sure that you didn’t betray us because you felt like you could. I know there is something behind all of this that you refuse to tell me.”
You didn’t answer and that was more than enough for him to confirm his theory about you.
”What happened, Cobra?”
”I left and now I’m one of Makarov’s people, that’s what happened!”
You were desperate to try to get him out of here because your heart was breaking with each word that was exchanged between you two.
”No, don’t even say that. I know who you are.”
”You don’t, Simon. Just get over it and let me go,” you snapped and his gaze dropped for a brief second. You didn’t even realize at first that you called him by his real name until you saw the change in his eyes.
It seemed like your words had made a final straw in Simon’s heart. You hated yourself for talking to him like that and you wished you could go back to them, to him, and forget about this nightmare you’d fallen into.
”I thought I was someone whom you could trust because you can be sure as hell that I still trust you with my life. Whether you like it or not."
His words made more impact on you than they should have. They meant the world to you and knowing that even after turning your back on him, he still trusted you and wanted you to go back.
”I trusted you.”
Trusted you. Past tense which didn’t go unnoticed by him.
”You didn’t if you could leave me like I was nothing to you.” Ghost confronted you with raw honesty, not even hiding the fact of how much your decision had pained him.
”It wasn’t easy,” you admitted, hugging your stomach and your eyes filling with unwanted tears. You hated if someone saw the vulnerable side of you, you hated being vulnerable but around Ghost, you knew he wouldn’t use your pain against you. Never.
Ghost stepped closer to you, making it impossible to look at anything else but him. When he heard your voice tremble and saw your eyes become glossy, he knew he meant something to you after all.
Lifting his hand, he put his index finger under your jaw and made you look at him. His eyes mirrored his emotions as he watched you slowly letting go of the invisible mask you’d hidden behind.
”You don’t need to keep anything from me, Cobra. Have I ever broken your trust and let you down?”
You swallowed the lump in your throat as a lonely tear escaped and rolled down on your hot skin.
When you slowly shook your head, he dipped his to your level.
”Then tell me. Please.”
Swallowing your doubts, you took a shaky breath, his hand still on you.
”He’ll kill me.”
”I won’t let that happen,” Ghost promised it without a second thought.
The words were on the tip of your tongue, almost jumping down. You hated to keep secrets from anyone, especially from Simon who had proven himself worthy of your trust more than once.
”Cobra, I can’t help if you don’t let me,” he continued with sad eyes and wiped your face.
It surprised you how a tall giant like him who had a name for his ruthless methods and interrogation scenes, could act so soft and careful with you.
It was hard to believe that the hand that was confronting you and wiping away your tears had killed so many people before.
With your lower lip quivering, you felt your fear taking over you, making your knees shake. Ghost watched you with worried eyes as you let out a sob you couldn’t hold back anymore and jumped into his arms, hiding your face into his neck.
As you wrapped your arms around his broad shoulders, you felt the heat coming off of his body, his tenseness slowly fading away once he’d realized what you were doing.
Ghost embraced your hug, his big arms wrapping around you like a shield, silently promising to keep you safe. He felt your scent filling his nose and his heart slowing down as your bodies pressed against each other’s.
”He has my family, Simon. He’ll kill them if I don’t obey his orders,” you sobbed in pure panic, your small hands holding onto him.
Ghost exhaled and tightened his grip around you, his head dropping onto yours with ease.
”Shh… I’m here,” he scooted you as you let your tears fall onto his gear.
”I couldn’t tell anyone and he made me swear to leave you or else…”
Ghost didn’t say it was okay or that it would be all right. Because he wasn’t sure if he could keep his promise if he’d told you something you wanted to hear at the moment.
So, he just kept you in his arms and rubbed your back while his heart came to peace now that he knew the real reason why you left them.
”I’m sorry, I’m so sorry…”
”Hey, hey…” Ghost pulled you away slightly so that he could look into your eyes.
When you glanced up at him, his eyes didn’t make you feel anxious like a few minutes ago, they made you realize you weren’t alone and that he wasn’t blaming you for anything.
”Don’t be sorry, family comes first.” Ghost answered. ”You did what you have to, I understand.”
”But you’re also my family,” you whispered in a defeated tone and his eyes softened.
”It’s okay, Cobra. I’m not mad, I could never be mad at you,” he admitted and pulled you into his chest, his hand caressing your hair.
You sniffed and hid your face in his chest, wishing you could wake up from this nightmare.
But unfortunately, you were awake. You have been this whole time and there was no turning back from now.
”I wish you would have told me without running away,” he said quietly. ”I understand why you did it, I just wish you would have told me.”
”I wanted to,” you admitted, your voice small and vulnerable.
”Why didn’t you then?” he asked, still holding you against his chest.
You sighed and wiped your flushed face, your other hand still around his waist.
”I was afraid you wouldn’t have let me leave.”
”You’re fucking right I wouldn’t have let you do that,” he agreed immediately, causing you to giggle.
Ghost felt warmness fill his chest at your almost laugh, making it easier for him to breathe now that you were in his arms and let yourself smile.
He missed you, a lot.
”I trust you, Simon. You know, I do.”
He hummed as he let his fingertips dance on your skin a little.
”It was hard to believe otherwise when I woke up to you missing one day.”
The familiar feeling of guilt made your expression drop and your brows furrow. You really wished things would have been different.
You hated yourself for making Ghost feel like he didn’t mean anything to you. You hated yourself for making him almost lose his faith in you.
”I’d tell you that you’re coming back with us but something tells me you won’t.”
You stepped away from him, letting go of his torso with defeated eyes.
”He’ll kill them, I can’t go with you,” you said sadly. You’d never felt so lost and desperate before and Simon could see that in your eyes.
”So, what…” his voice trailed off. ”You’re just going to stay by his side and do whatever the fuck he wants you to?”
”It’s not like I want to work for him, Simon. But I have no choice.”
”We’ll figure something out,” he replied.
You sighed and ran your fingers through your hair in frustration.
”You can’t, you know it.”
Ghost shook his head. ”No, there has to be a way… We have to do something before he kills you.”
”I appreciate your concern but there’s nothing you can do for me,” you whispered in a hoarse voice.
Ghost stared at you while hundreds of thoughts had run through his mind, wondering if there was a way he could help you. Hoping he could say or do something that would make you feel better.
”I have to do something… I can’t lose you again, I won’t.”
His words made your heart almost jump out of your chest while he massaged the back of his neck. You felt physically weak at the plea of his voice while he was trying to find a solution.
But there was none.
Not when Makarov had his chains on you like on a dog.
”I’ll be fine, just go.”
Ghost looked at you with hesitation.
”I can’t, Cobra. What if I won’t see you again?”
Wiping your eyes, you took a shaky breath. Him trying to get you out of this just made the whole situation more unbearable.
”We knew what we were signing up for when we joined the special forces, Lt.”
Ghost felt his heart starting to ache in sadness as he took your defeated and exhausted sight in. You weren’t the woman who once made a race with him about getting more kills on a mission or not.
You were only a shadow of yourself and he hated to see you this way.
He would have done anything to be able to take you back with him to the base and never let you go.
It terrified him how lost he’d felt when you left the team, he could still remember how he’d stare at the ceiling of his room, wondering if he’d ever see you again.
”Don’t talk like that, Cobra.” Ghost scolded you. ”Now is not the time.”
”You know I might end up getting killed after all.”
”Don’t.” Ghost said in a stern voice, his body tensing at your words. ”Nobody is dying. Not on my watch and I’m going to keep my word.”
It made you feel better to know that Ghost didn’t hold anything against you. Your soul found peace now that he knew the why behind your decisions and betrayal. It killed you that you couldn’t go home with him and Soap.
Ghost stepped closer to you and waited for you to look into his dark eyes that led you directly to his soul.
”I’m going to get you out of this, Cobra. I promise. I’m not leaving anyone behind, especially you.”
His promise made you forget the danger that was around the corner and just for a brief second you were happy to let yourself believe what Ghost was saying.
”You better not to, lieutenant.”
Ghost huffed and touched the side of your face, his thumb softly caressing your skin. Closing your eyes, you leaned into his touch and forgot how to breathe for a moment.
Simon Riley was famous for a lot of things and keeping his promise was one of them. That was the only thing that helped you come to peace with the things you were forced to do in order to protect your family.

Okay but a darling who has a blood phobia? It comes often with the fear of needles/syringes so after reading your Dr. Kry OneShot of reader being scared of needles I thought about the phobia.
And here are my thoughts :D Hope you don't mind 💕🙈 i tried my best to make it as authentic as possible with all the yanderes!
Tw: mentions of blood, murder, maybe gaslighting/manipulation, phobia
Edmund would be the WORST and most likey cause the phobia rather it being a thing before meeting him lol. But I am not sure if the phobia alone would be enough for him to consider not to kill in front of his queen anymore. Maybe the ball massacre would be enough and only time, but since his nature is unpredictable, there is no guarantee. Although he grows worried when his queen gets her periods everytime...
Dr. Kry would even have a much. harder. time. when it comes to blood tests and the first appointment might be where he finds out about his darling's phobia. At this point would put darling to sleep whenever he needs to take a test
Or oh boy, when darling gets her period in the first month they spend at the hospital? He would come into the room to find a passed out darling on the bathroom floor. At first he is shocked until he saw that they had bled through, a pad under their hand, and quickly understands the situation. He would be even frustrated that from all the 3-4% of the population fearing blood, darling happens to be one of them. Before darling wakes up in bed, he already had sorted out everything.
After that he would absolutely keep track on their cyclus and warn them just in time. He might be even persistent to change the menstruation pads/tampons and even washing the clothes if they got dirty, so darling doesnt have to see it at all. Maybe he would consider doing a therapy if it's really bad, so darling would feel better and won't faint every time they could get badly hurt y'know. But if they feel too anxious and dizzy, they can call him anytime :)
I think it's obvious that he's my favourite *^*
Silas would notice that darling doesn't look at him at all when he comes back. They could smell the irony scent and are imagining the worst so they avoid looking at him at all costs. Only once, when Silas forces darling to look at him, they faint as soon as the speckels of blood appear in their vision and then he understands what's the matter after panicking for good 10 seconds
He would probably care enough afterwards to change his clothes and shower everytime before entering the bedroom after a bloody mission. The dirty clothes would be in the washing machine and out of it before darling comes with their laundry next. Better be safe than sorry again.
Hedwig would feel so bad and sooo worried man, haha /_\
I haven't read everything yet but I think she would find out about the phobia after cutting herself on paper by accident and asking for a band aid. Darling instantly sprints to the aid box and bring it to her. being all anxious but trying to remain calm which they fail to hide (Hedwig hasnt grasp of the matter yet and thinks they are worried about her and finds it even cute... at first👀) Only when darling turns around and sees the blood, instantly dropping on the floor and hell breaks loose lmfao.
Or, on a sleepover at her house where she kills an intruder/stalking classmate/whoever. Darling comes down bc they want to drink water, only too see a scene of their yandere girlfrind with a bloody knife. Instantly dropping on the ground. When waking up a hysterical Hedwig is all over them, questioning if what they saw was real and why on earth she was holding a bloody knife at 3am. Hedwig might have the luck that darling isn't sure of the body, which was lying on the ground, was real too and would gaslight darling in order to keep her facade up.
Jerry was the hardest to imagine imo. So I apologise beforehand.
I can imagine her being worried and trying not to expose their darling to blood as best as possible but I can also imagine her using it to her advantage to "play" with darling or forgetting sometimes that they can't see blood, coming home with some cuts and bruises and darling passing out. And Jerry be like: "Ah sh*t. I forgot."
Ahhh I hope you like what I had in mind! You absolutely made me go brainrot with your stories, they are all soo good \*~*/ i almost read everything by now heh~
If you like asks like this let us know. I would to love share more but I dont want to post them randomly in my feed ._.
They're your OCs afterall ❤ love each of them!
Tumblr media
Have a wonderful day my dear! ♡♡♡
Aww I loved this so much!!! It is nice to be the reader for a change🥹🥹
I'm impressed that your visions fit with mine! The only thing I'd add is that I think that Jerry would try to get you over your phobia by ... uh ... exposure therapy :)
I really liked this, thank you so much♡♡

Warnings: 18+ content (minors DNI), explicit sexual content, minor POV switching. Summary: One night, you were brought to the luxurious Baratie Restaurant Ship, renowned for its exceptional cuisine that your family had been intrigued to sample. A particular blond and comely waiter captured your attention with his charming smile and gentle eyes, but while your beauty and sophistication intrigued him, Sanji also observed the profound nervousness that caused your jaw and body muscles to tense whenever your fiancé made contact with your hand or your parents delivered a humiliating criticism towards you. One dinner at the Baratie soon turned into a recurring event, and then more. As your friendship with Sanji slowly evolved into something that burned from within, you strove to make your longstanding dream come true; freeing yourself from a constricting existence. ------------------------- As Sanji looked at you curiously, the gentle smile never leaving his face, you asked him, "Do you know why the caged bird sings?" He thought about it for a moment before answering, "Because it has a song to give?" You chuckled at his response and shook your head. "You're not entirely wrong, but no."

Feel free to read this on AO3 if it is more comfortable for you due to its length. I only ask to support me with a like and reblog if you enjoy my work. ☺️
Author's note: Another long chapter, what is new! Things for the Reader are finally taking a good turn, with a new life at the horizon. I want her relationship with Sanji to develop properly and in the most realistic way possible, but I can pretty much confirm that, in the next update, a kiss will finally take place.
Tumblr media
The Baratie was delivering more than a memorable meal on a casual night. In fact, you were set on crossing paths with Sanji again, perhaps even as a part of his team.
Tumblr media
Despite your genuine intention to resolve matters at home, a whole week passed, and yet, you hadn't mustered the courage to approach your parents' door.
Mari had welcomed you into her home for as long as you needed, urging you to extend your stay until you felt sufficiently prepared to face your father's wrath. However, the harsh reality was that you would never truly be ready, as you had been grappling with this problem since you were born.
Sleep was elusive. The anxiety of potential repercussions gnawed at your insides, considering your father's unpredictable nature and the fact that he could orchestrate any form of punishment as long as it guaranteed your compliance.
"I'm telling you, just take your time. Rushing it would only backfire," Mari advised you, as you found it difficult to even consume your meal.
"I know, but I can't keep hiding here just to avoid them.”
She exhaled deeply. "I understand, but you should at least devise a reasonable plan.”
You grumbled in response. "A plan? Mari, no plan can shield me from my father's fury. I rejected the Admiral's son, and he considered it crucial to hand me over for his political gain. It's all a business transaction to him.”
"What kind of father treats his own daughter as a mere business asset?”
"Apparently, mine does.”
“Yeah, no shit.”
You shook your head, standing up and beginning to pace to and fro. "The problem is, there's no escape for me. If I confront him, he might just lock me in and force me into marriage. If I flee, he would most certainly hunt me down.”
Mari shrugged. "You could always seek refuge at the Baratie. You seemed quite at ease there, and you've even made a rather special friend.”
You attempted to disregarded her suggestive wink. "It’s the first place my father would take into account, and the last thing I want is for him to create a commotion and hassle the staff there.”
"But they could defend you. The head chef used to be a pirate, and you told us how Sanji gave Nutty a good thrashing. Honestly, that guy is fit as heck.”
“Mari.”
"Hey, I'm serious! Perhaps your judgment is clouded, but mine isn't. We all noticed the chemistry between you two. Sanji is genuinely interested in you, and with his strength and agility? Girl.”
It was difficult for you to ignore the blush creeping onto your cheeks at the thought. "That's not the issue here. I don't want to burden him more than I already have.”
She raised her hands in a gesture of surrender. "Okay, fine. I tried. Do it your way. But remember how long it took you to finally stand up against that jerk. I'm concerned for you, you know?”
You smiled. “I know.”
"All I'm suggesting is that you should stay here for at least another week. We can brainstorm a solution together.”
You were about to nod in agreement, when a forceful knock on her front door startled both of you. You pivoted towards Mari, straining your ear to determine if the person outside had mistakenly approached the wrong house.
"Were you expecting someone?" You asked her. "Did you invite the others?”
You immediatly felt apprehensive as you noticed her tense up in the distinct way she did when something was off. The knocking continued, more insistent than before, and somehow, a part of you already foresaw what was about to occur.
"I didn't," she responded. "Stay here.”
Mari dashed to the entrance, alert and clutching her gun as she moved. You heard the sound of the door being unlocked and creaking open, followed by her cautious, distant voice and another that was painfully familiar to you.
So familiar, in fact, that it sent a chill through your veins as soon as you heard it.
“Where is she?”
Your blood ran ice cold.
"I have no idea who you're referring to, sir," Mari replied indifferently.
"There's no need for you to hide her, she's been spotted here. Step aside, immediately.”
Your father's authoritative tone was unnerving. Even in someone else's home, he had the audacity to behave like a Marine when, in truth, he was a nobody. He leveraged his high-status acquaintances and associates as his safety net, confident that he had someone to turn to in times of need. He considered himself supremely important, treating everyone else as an inferior citizen with no significant rank.
Primarily your friends.
But Mari, being the strong-willed person she was, undoubtedly didn't feel intimidated.
"Nope, that's not going to fly with me. This is my place, so I suggest you just get lost and go hassle someone else.”
You heard the sound of the gun being cocked, and at that moment, you realized you couldn't remain idle. You were deeply indebted to her, aware that she would go to extraordinary lengths to ensure your safety and happiness. But as brave and robust as she was, and as much as you valued her protection and the zeal she invested in everything she did for you, the last thing you wanted was for her to bear the burden of your father's blood on her hands and land herself in trouble.
And despite the nature of your relationship with the man, you harbored no desire to see him meet his end.
You swiftly moved towards the door, your heart hammering in your chest as you saw her standing in the entrance, effectively barricading it.
"Mari, it's okay," you stated coldly. "I'll be fine.”
Your friend scarcely turned her head, not wishing to lower her guard in the presence of your unfazed father.
"No, Y/N. This man has wrecked your life. How 'fine' can you possibly be?”
Your father laughed boisterously. "Wrecked her life? I've only ever done what's best for her. But I don’t expect someone like you to understand.”
"How is arranging your daughter's marriage to a man she hates in her best interest?!”
It might have appeared almost comical, considering how his face was reddening and puffing up. You wished for nothing more than to see him back down and entirely give up on you, but you were aware that he wouldn't leave you alone when his personal benefit was at stake.
"Mari, that's enough," you said softly. "You're incredible and I love you, but I'll handle it from here.”
You could see her hesitance, her eyes darting back and forth, barely budging from the doorway. You gently squeezed the hand that was still clutching the gun, so tightly that her knuckles were turning white.
Eventually, she dropped her shoulders and stepped aside to let you pass. "If anything happens to her," she began, casting a threatening glance at your father. "I swear, high status or not, you'll regret ever being born.”
"Watch your language, you impertinent child. I would never harm my own daughter."
"Yeah, because she's a crucial pawn in your schemes, right??”
Before he could delve further into the argument, you nudged him away. "Let's just go, please.”
You whispered a quiet "thank you" to Mari, and all your friend could do was exhale a frustrated sigh as she saw the man take a firm grip of your upper arm. You knew she wasn't the type to sit still, and there was a strong possibility that she might rally the rest of the group to follow you and keep surveillance outside your family's home.
That thought alone provided some solace, because no matter how strenuous things with your father might become over time, you knew you had a reliable support network in those good-hearted people. Your only regret was that it took so many years for you to understand that you couldn't continue letting your parents make decisions for you, simply because you yearned for their acceptance, their love, and to finally receive the decent treatment you deserved.
It was painful, and undeniably hard to accept, but that was something they were incapable of doing.
Your father was visibly enraged, not uttering a word to you during the journey. The way he was practically dragging you around was predictably filled with ire, and all you could do was respond to the onlookers' stares with a reassuring smile.
Deep down, though not really that deep, you found it absolutely mortifying, disheartening, and miserable.
Upon reaching your family's house (because you could no longer consider that place your home, it never truly was), he flung the door open. "Get in," he barked, roughly shoving you inside.
You stumbled and had to steady yourself with the back of the vacant chair at the head of the table. Your mother sat to the left, with Christopher to the right and Admiral Wheeler directly opposite you.
The atmosphere was thick with tension, your mother nervously cutting her piece of bread without even casting a glance your way, while your former fiancé's neck and jaw were rigid with stress. The admiral, on the other hand, seemed more puzzled and intrigued than anything else.
Somehow, perhaps due to your escalating nervousness, the whole situation elicited a chuckle from you as you took your seat. Your father occupied the empty chair next to his wife, and Chris immediately turned to you with a swollen, patched-up nose.
Unable to contain your enjoyment, you asked mockingly, "How's your face?"
His response was utterly foreseeable.
“Go to hell, bitch.”
“Christopher Wheeler.”
The admiral's voice was surprisingly booming, startling everyone present.
"What?! She started it!”
His father grunted, lightly smacking his hand against the table and causing his glass to vibrate on it. "How old are you, 12?”
It was unusual and somewhat unexpected, as the Admiral usually maintained a neutral stance, seldom intervening unless it was to make a joke. Somehow, you got the impression that he was taking your side for the first time, but you didn't want to deceive yourself with something that could simply be a product of your imagination.
Chris lowered his gaze, muttering a curse under his breath. Your mother's hands trembled with agitation, while your father cleared his throat to commence his speech.
"Admiral, I believe my daughter owes you an apology," he declared. "I'm certain this is all just a misunderstanding and she will come to her senses.”
The man leveled his gaze at you, expectation clearly etched in his eyes, yet remarkably devoid of any irritation. “Is that so?”
You sighed, feeling positively incensed and not in the mood to hold back. "No. I am perfectly sane.”
With a growl, your father took a deep breath, making an effort to recollect his composure. Sensing his tension, your mother tenderly grazed her fingers against his wrist, doing the best she could to defuse the situation.
"She's not serious. Y/N merely panicked when your son proposed to her, nothing more.”
With a look of disgust, you shifted your attention to your father. "May I remind you that you're not in my head.”
He nonchalantly brushed you aside with a dismissive wave of his hand, anxiously awaiting the Admiral's response.
Nevertheless, the Marine kept his focus directed at you, narrowing his eyes as though wanting to perceive something that you couldn't quite put into words.
"Perhaps she should speak for herself," he suggested.
Your father was left dumbfounded, his mouth hanging open as he glanced back and forth between you and the Admiral.
A slight smile appeared on your face. "At least someone values my opinion.”
The admiral gave a nod of his head, which threw Christopher into a state of discomfort.
You had no intention of holding yourself back. "He slapped me. Are we truly going to overlook that?”
Christopher coughed, squirming in his chair like a mouse caught in a trap.
"Hold on, what? Is that the truth, son?”
“W-well…. uhm….”
Admiral Wheeler released a sigh of defeat, shrouding his face with his large hand while incessantly shaking his head.
“I was angry!”
Frankly, you expected your former fiancé to deny it, to pretend innocence and claim that you were spinning stories for self-defense, all while maintaining the facade of a noble and respectful man. However, in the end, he appeared so inconsequential and weak that it evoked pity in you. He seemed to crave his father's approval, reflecting the same longing you nurtured towards yours for a very long time.
The Admiral pronounced your father's name with such severity that it made both him and your mother wince. "I'd like to have a word with your daughter. In private.”
Your father was visibly panicking, for things were veering in a direction he hadn't predicted. "Uhm, well you see.... I don't think that's a good ide-”
“I insist.”
The Marine's face was marked by a large grin, yet it was so strained and intimidating that it managed to scare even you.
Ultimately, your parents had no choice but to comply, sinking back into their seats like two frightened children. You had never seen them appear so distraught.
"Y/N, would you mind accompanying me to the kitchen?”
The noticeably softer way in which the Admiral addressed you was disarming, yet you appreciated it all the same.
As he rose from his chair and ambled away, the silence that enveloped the main room was deafening. You promptly followed him and closed the kitchen door behind you, feeling a bit uneasy as you had never really established much familiarity with the Admiral.
Mr. Wheeler settled in comfortably, exhaling a relaxed breath and signaling for you to join him. Heeding his gesture, you took a stool next to him, the flickering fire in front of you, your gaze resting on the chicken being prepared.
At the current pace, you were sure it would end up burnt, but you found yourself lacking the energy to make a comment on it.
"Sir, I apologize for dragging you into this," you finally voiced. "It wasn't my intention to disrespect you or your son.”
He arched an eyebrow in disbelief. "Do you think I wanted to speak with you because of that?”
“That’s not it?”
"No, my dear. I am actually interested in understanding how you truly feel. It's evident that you don't wish to marry my son. Thus, I'm curious as to why you adhered to your father's directive up until this point?”
Your eyes dropped to your hands, your chest constricting with emotion. "Because I wanted to make him happy."
He hummed thoughtfully. "Even if it implies condemning yourself to a lifetime of unhappiness?”
"It's pathetic, isn't it?”
"No, Y/N. It's not.”
For some reason, his unexpected kindness brought tears to your eyes, and you found yourself suppressing a sob of despair that rattled you to your core.
"In reality, I am the one who owes you an apology.”
You sniffled, wiping your forming tears away. "Why is that?”
"For all this time, I merely stood by in silence, permitting your old man to do as he pleased. I considered him a valuable asset, given his extensive network and the wealth of information he has access to.”
You listened in silence, engulfed in the grief you had suppressed for far too long.
"I've been observing you. I assumed you would object, as your expression suggested you were not in agreement with his instructions, but then you never did.”
Your attention was fixated on the flames consuming the chicken, which was now assuming a questionable dark hue.
"Eventually, I convinced myself that I was wrong, that you willingly chose this path and had your unique way of expressing it. I never truly took your feelings into account, I remained silent, and didn’t step up to protect you.”
"You weren't obligated to look out for me, Admiral," you asserted.
"No, but you were on track to become a part of my family. Under the assumption that you would marry my son, I should have shown more consideration.”
"What changed, then?"
"You did. The night we dined at the Baratie, I noticed something in you that wasn't present before. You looked so heartbroken… so out of place. And for the first time, you snapped.”
You recollected the way your father treated you that night, so disrespectful, demanding a level of submission you were no longer willing to exhibit.
"It was rather amusing, truth be told. I witnessed you finally standing up for yourself, and your father was unable to control that.”
Your lips trembled as you managed to summon another smile for him.
"You see, when my wife passed away, I pledged to my son that I would be a good parent, to prevent him from feeling any sense of deprivation growing up," he elaborated. "But I made a grave mistake; I ended up spoiling him, granting his every wish. I even facilitated his career progression because I knew he aspired to follow in my footsteps.”
While Admiral Wheeler typically radiated confidence, strength, and composure, he now seemed like an entirely different person. The man sitting beside you was vulnerable, sensitive, and laden with flaws that made him a bit more human. Just like you.
"When I recognized that he had become self-centered and excessively prideful to the point of discomfort, it was too late. I could no longer influence his character.”
"Admiral, I may not like your son, but Christopher has some redeeming qualities too.”
"I appreciate your intention to assuage my guilt, but there's no need to defend him. Never did I teach him it was acceptable to lay a hand on a woman.”
"I wasn’t exactly nice to him. I’m not saying that I deserved it, it’s just…”
He tenderly squeezed your shoulder in a paternal way. "No, there's no excuse for what he did. And I'm extremely sorry you had to endure all of this."
There was so much you wanted to convey, but despite the immense effort to organize your thoughts, the only thing that managed to escape your lips was a simple "Okay.”
"Just tell me something, Y/N, and please answer honestly. Do you believe I can trust your father?”
His question took you by surprise, but it was clear to you that by that point, the Admiral had grown deeply doubtful of their partnership.
For a brief moment, you deliberated whether it was appropriate to reveal the truth to him. Perhaps, if this had happened just a few weeks earlier, you might have felt unable to do so.
But as the Admiral had pointed out, you were no longer the same.
"From a professional standpoint, he excels at what he does, and he holds a significant amount of knowledge that could be advantageous to you.”
“But?”
You pursed your lips together, constructing the most persuasive sentence possible to convince him.
"But I don't believe he's trustworthy. You've seen what he tried to do with me; he shows no qualms when it comes to his own interests.”
He affirmed with a tilt of his head. "Seems like I squandered my time on such a greed-driven mastermind.”
“I’m sorry.”
"Don't be. If anything, I came to this realization before it was too late.”
He pushed his chair back and stood up, switching off the fire and waving his hand to dissipate the building smoke. The chicken was undeniably overcooked and much too charred to be edible. What a waste.
“Well, this room now reeks.”
In a fit of genuine amusement, the admiral returned to your side, giving you a supportive pat on the back as he did so.
"You know," he admitted, " You've always been superior to anyone else in my circle. You exude honesty and innocence; everything you do is heartfelt, even in moments when you're not fully aware of it.”
Ironically, the praises you had wished for from your own family were now being bestowed upon you by the man they chose to be your father-in-law.
“Part of me harbored the belief that you could change my son, turn him into a better man, and succeed where I have failed,” he admitted. "But the reality is, he would only end up shattering you.”
As the smoke dissipated through the open window, it unveiled the chicken that looked defeated, drained, and consumed. A mirror image of how you had felt for too many years.
"I want to make amends, Y/N. I understand that I'm not your family, but I believe your parents aren't the best figures to look up to. Should you ever require anything, absolutely anything, don't hesitate to approach me.”
Unconsciously, a sigh of relief escaped from you. The knowledge that you had an ally, someone as influential and impartial as he was, brought a measure of consolation, however slight.
"Thank you, Admiral. Your words carry great significance for me."
Reflecting on the intimidation you experienced the first time you laid eyes on Admiral Wheeeler, you found it mildly amusing now. Your worry was unfounded, as a powerful wave of confidence swept over you, bolstered by the man’s reassuring presence.
At that point, the prospects could only get better. After all, once you've hit rock bottom, there's no direction left but upwards.
Tumblr media
You had emerged victorious.
After a lifetime of living in fear, enduring criticism and subjugation, you had finally triumphed in your battle against your family.
Admiral Wheeler had officially cut all professional ties with your father, which resulted in the latter exploding in rage, blaming you for being a complete catastrophe and ruining his career. However, this time, regardless of the aggression he unleashed, you didn’t even flinch. You allowed him to vent while you calmly sipped your tea, also taking satisfaction in how his former partner chastised him, forcefully ordering him to leave you alone and treat you with respect.
But it didn’t stop there. The Admiral chose to demote his son effective immediately, compelling him to regain his position without any form of favoritism. Your ex-fiancé was seething, on the brink of desperation so intense that you believed he might succumb to tears any moment. He glanced at you as if you were the most repulsive creature he had ever encountered.
And you were thoroughly gratified.
With most of your belongings already stowed away in your secret stash, there wasn't much you needed to retrieve from your old room. You happily left all those incredibly uncomfortable clothes untouched, as you were mainly focused on collecting a few leftover books.
Now that the Admiral and his son had left, the house fell into silence, and you found your parents in a state of utter defeat, staring blankly at the floor as you stepped into the living room.
You observed them to gauge whether they had anything additional to contribute to their ceaseless list of insults, but it appeared they no longer had the energy to even try.
Quietly, you moved towards the door, holding your bag and wrapping your hand around the handle. But before you could open it and step outside for the very last time, you felt the need to voice your feelings, despite knowing they would likely take no effect.
“You know, things could have been different. If you had treated me like a daughter rather than a tool from the moment I was born, I could have truly added value to this family.”
Your father grunted, shaking his head to dismiss your argument.
"I understand you wanted a son, dad. I apologize for not being the one you had hoped for.”
He looked away, and your mother wrapped her arms around herself, releasing a deep sigh.
“You've enslaved me and molded me into a submissive echo of a person. I've done nothing but strive to please you, to provide what you desired. But in the end, it was never enough.”
He was about to retaliate, but this time, your mother took his hand and signaled him to restrain himself.
And so, you persisted undeterred.
"I wish I could say that I hate you, but despite how much you've hurt me, I can't deny that I still love you after everything.”
Your words appeared to deliver a potent message, akin to an arrow hitting dead center. However, you didn't let their sudden discomposure detain you any longer.
Most likely, they were simply wounded in their pride more than anything else.
"But, as much as I'd like to erase the past, the fact remains that I won't be able to ever forgive you.”
Your mother bit her lower lip, and your father appeared to hold a similar degree of resentment. Certainly, you didn't expect him to envelop you in his arms and plead for a second chance, but the prioritization of his status over his own flesh and blood inflicted yet another painful wound to your heart.
"I wish you a good life.”
Your grip on the bag's strap tightened, and without a single backward glance, you thrust the door open to be welcomed by the evening air, with the final rays of the setting sun fading on the horizon.
And by your friends, who were patiently leaning against the wall of your family’s house, prepared to step in at any given moment if necessity arose.
Your parents made no effort to hinder you. They neither called out your name nor insisted that you remain.
Everything had come to an end, and you were completely freed from the chains that had kept you trapped in a lifelong nightmare from which you had finally awakened.
Tumblr media
"What are you going to do now?" Rory asked as she sat on the couch with you. "I'm glad you're finally free from that despot, but technically, you're now homeless.”
"No, she is not. I have plenty of room here, she can stay with me,” said Mari.
You chuckled, sitting up straight. "I appreciate the offer, but I don't think I'll be sticking around in this town.”
They all froze on the spot, staring at you as if they had just seen a ghost.
"Wait, what are you talking about?" Marlo asked.
"Well, at least for the immediate future. I'm not entirely sure where I'll end up eventually, but... there's something I really want to do now.”
Your friends shared a knowing look with each other, immediately emitting a satisfied, mischievous 'Ooohh.’
"Wait, guys, it's not what you think.”
"Really?" Rubio sat on the opposite side of the couch, nudging you with his large elbow. "So you're not going to tell us you're heading back to the Baratie for that chef-guy?”
You rolled your eyes. "It's not exactly like that. Well, not entirely.”
"Aha!”
"I'm serious! He's not the primary reason, I still owe them for the chaos that Christopher created.”
Mari rested her hand on her chin, pondering aloud. "You know, that's not a bad excuse.”
“It’s not an excuse!”
Marlo snickered. "Yeah, and I'm a fish-man. Come on, we know you all too well.”
At times, they could be exasperating, but without a doubt, they had a better understanding of you than you did of yourself.
"Okay, fine. I admit I do want to see him again... but there's something about the Baratie that I can't quite put into words.”
Rory's expression brightened. "Wait, you want to work there?”
"Maybe? I am contemplating it. I need to compensate them for the wasted food and damaged tableware.”
Marlo nodded. "That makes sense, but it might only be for a short time. How much do you think that stuff was worth?”
Mari started to mentally tally up. "Well, their cuisine is of high quality and not exactly the cheapest. The tableware may not be particularly expensive, but they ended up with at least two plates and two glasses to replace.”
“Let's not forget about the tablecloth to wash,” you added.
Rubio gave a nonchalant shrug. "So maybe a week or less?”
“Most likely, yes.”
You exhaled a sigh. "Guys, this is just a hypothesis. I'm not even certain they would allow me to work there at all.”
Mari shot you a wild, excited grin. “But you have an inside connection.”
"Indeed! Sanji would definitely put in a good word for you," Rory chimed in.
The enthusiastic way they encouraged you was simultaneously embarrassing and thrilling. Their backing prompted a hearty laughter from you as they all gathered around, embodying the spirit of the close-knit family they represented.
Thus, as Mari was delineating the specifics for your formal employment request, she assured you a safe passage on their ship.
Tumblr media
The day you left your hometown to return to the Baratie, your anxiety escalated to levels you thought were only attainable when dealing with Christopher or your father. Now, as you attired yourself and mentally braced for an endeavor that could potentially lead to a total flop, managing your soaring nerves emerged as your most formidable challenge yet.
This time around, only Mari accompanied you on your journey. The others had their own obligations to attend to, and they felt it would be awkward to all turn up simply for you to hand in a job application.
In a way, they acted as if you wouldn't be returning, hugging you tightly and wishing you a marvelous time at the floating restaurant. Their optimism undeniably compensated for your own scarcity of it, and they succeeded in instilling a bit of positivity in you.
The weather was pleasant, warm with a touch of moisture in the air, but offset by the cool, revitalizing sea breeze. The ship felt notably empty with just you and Mari on board, but you didn't want to burden the others with the expectation of always being in your company.
The reality was, you were uncertain about what awaited you. Not only were you unsure about possible developments with Sanji, but there also existed a risk that Zeff might scoff at you for even nurturing ambitions of securing a role at the Baratie. What could you feasibly contribute to their team other than some dishwashing and kitchen tidying? Your home cooking skills weren't outstanding enough to be of use, and you couldn't think of any other particular talents you possessed. You had dedicated so many years striving to liberate yourself from your constrained existence that you barely had time to develop new ones.
Luckily, Mari was there to bolster your spirits and remind you that cleaning itself was indeed a valuable ability. You had a notable knack for being quick and extremely meticulous in that area, and such a trait would be a significant asset for any restaurant, irrespective of its reputation.
Being used to your parents' critique, it was difficult for you to harbor the same self-belief as your friends did, but you determined that it would be worth attempting regardless of the result.
Now, as you looked at the ocean waves softly swaying the ship, immersed in your thoughts, Mari clasped your hand in hers and gave it a comforting squeeze.
"Hey, I know that embarking on a new life can be daunting, but I'm incredibly proud of you for what you've accomplished.”
You replied with a smile, returning the supportive gesture. "Whenever I think about it, I feel as though I might wake up and discover that none of it was real.”
Mari shook her head. "Believe me, Y/N, it's absolutely real. And all jokes aside, I must say that I genuinely root for you and Sanji.”
“I barely know him. And I'm not sure if I can truly take his compliments at face value.”
"Why, do you believe he's merely toying with you? Because I think he’s serious.”
You took a moment to consider your response, then declared, "No, it's not that. I can see in his eyes that he's not lying. But in the end, I'm just one amongst the multitude of customers he's come across, and you've seen how prone he is to flirting.”
Mari emitted a grunt. "Yes, but that's different. Do you want to know what I genuinely saw?”
“What did you see?”
"Sanji is handsome, and an incredibly talented cook too. But despite his good looks and talents, I think he's actually a little insecure. I could be wrong, but who knows what that guy has been through.”
Upon contemplation, you realized you didn't really know much about Sanji's past, as he hadn't divulged anything beyond his life at the Baratie, his spats with Zeff, and his dream of discovering the All Blue. You hadn't asked, but it was plausible that Mari had a point.
"What I'm saying is that the way he looked at you was authentic, and I'm not speaking from my biased perspective. You know that I can be quite straightforward when necessary. Sanji likes you, I'm sure of it... and if you ended up working there alongside him, all doubts would be dispelled.”
Mari was known for being a sharp observer, and she rarely misread someone she had the chance to assess at first sight.
"Perhaps you're right," you conceded. "But wouldn't that make things even more complex for us, being coworkers?”
"Oof. The worst-case scenario would be the two of you not getting enough privacy, but the real fun always kicks in during the night anyway.”
With laughter bubbling up, you affectionately bumped your forehead against hers. "You're such a mischief-maker.”
“And proud of it!”
While you dearly valued all your friends equally, the connection you had with Mari was distinctively special, leaning more towards a sisterly bond. From a young age, she had always been exceptionally resilient and served as an inspiration to you, someone who remained impervious to those who attempted to pull her down. She was consistently there for you when you needed her, never once refusing to stand by your side. Despite her critique of your lack of bravery against your family, she never passed harsh judgment, offering unwavering support through your tribulations.
Even at this point, she expressed concern to the extent of guaranteeing your job security, fully cognizant of the potential reality of embarking on the return journey solo.
The commute to the restaurant was seamless and serene. You seized this opportunity to delve further into your books, inscribe reflections in your journal, and engage in thoughtful discourse about your future aspirations. Working at the Baratie, irrespective of how long it may last, was a promising stride towards your total independence.
Your parents never permitted you to secure a job on your own, always orchestrating strategic meetings to ingratiate you with society's elites and political figures. The roles you were assigned were fairly mundane, often restricted to tasks such as serving drinks or filing paperwork. The earnings you made were under your family's surveillance, and squirreling away bits of Berries for personal use proved to be a laborious endeavor.
For the first time, you had the opportunity to achieve something solely for yourself, free from their meddling or overbearing presence.
However, the instant Mari pointed out the emerging silhouette of the Baratie in the distance, an immediate wave of weakness swept over your knees and a queasy sensation began to churn in your stomach.
"Y/N, take it easy! It's not a big deal, all you need to do is smile and maintain a polite attitude. That's something you've been trained to do all your life.”
"No, this feels different. I've never been so invested in a job application before.”
Mari gently rubbed your back as you hunched over the table, shrouding your face between your arms. "What if I don't measure up?”
"Enough of that talk! You'll do great, believe me. Anyone who passes on you would be making a foolish mistake."
"Do you really think so?”
"Of course I do. Now, perk up. I know you're also anxious about Sanji, but he should actually serve as a positive motivator.”
You groaned. "Please, let's not go there.”
"Alright, listen carefully," she instructed in a stern voice, compelling you to raise your head and meet her eyes. "The fact that you hesitate whenever someone brings up his name signifies that you've encountered a man who could finally shake your world. As we both know, that's a rarity.”
You acknowledged with a nod.
"Like I said, I'm confident the feelings are mutual, so that's not something you need to fret over. Just go with the flow, take things as they come.”
You sank back into your chair, a look of resignation on your face. "I'm at a loss, Mari. Everything feels so surreal to me at this moment.”
It was unfathomable how a single night at the Baratie had the power to completely upend your life;  One minute, you were betrothed to a Marine you had no interest in, succumbing to your father's will. Then, as if struck by a lightning bolt, you broke free from your cocoon, asserting your rights and discarding your shackles in an astonishingly short span of time.
And now, you were en route back to the Baratie in pursuit of a job, all while dealing with the unsettling emotions stirred up by a man you only met twice.
Your infatuation with Sanji was undeniable. Despite your tries to brush it off, from the very first moment your eyes locked with his, you were completely smitten.
It may have been childish, likely ridiculous and possibly doomed to burst like a bubble in the wind for all you knew. Yet, despite your trepidations and uncertainties, a persistent voice inside your head urged you to heed the call of your heart.
Mari's smile widened, and she tenderly stroked your hair in a soothing gesture. "Sweetie, everything will work out. Relax, take a deep breath, and give it your all.”
And naturally, your only recourse was to gather all the strength you possessed and press on.
Upon reaching the restaurant's entrance, your feet inexplicably froze. You observed various patrons walk up to the deck and step inside, all primed to relish the most delectable fare the East Blue had to offer. Although it was still quite early and not exactly dinnertime, the enticing aroma wafting from the restaurant—a tantalizing blend of grilled meat, fish, and roasted potatoes, capped off with the unmistakable sweet scent of freshly baked cake—indicated that the Baratie staff was always well-prepared.
You had anticipated the place to be less crowded, but securing a conversation with Zeff might prove to be more challenging than you had originally thought.
"Y/N, let's go. What are you doing standing here stiff as cod?”
"Mari, I don't think I can go through with this," you proclamed, your voice barely above a whisper.
"Oh, don't be silly. Of course, you can.”
She took your upper arm in her firm grasp, and you had no choice but to let her coax you out of your paralysis. Upon crossing the threshold, Mari instantly engaged in a dialogue with the fish-man. She pointed out a table that, to your repeated surprise, she appeared to have reserved for the forthcoming hours.
"One of these days, you'll have to let me in on your secret," you said to her.
"Pfff, I have no idea what you're talking about!”
You trailed after her animated figure through the dining room, which, although noticeably less crowded compared to the main area, was still bustling with activity.
The table was cozy and beautifully set for two, already decked with some enticing bread. Unfortunately, your current stomach condition was far from ideal, making the thought of savoring any food quite uninviting. Nevertheless, your resolve to meet Sanji again, potentially as a part of their crew, was not shaken.
No sooner had you reached your seat than a familiar voice echoed from across the room. Its charm was instantly enthralling, causing you to whip your head around so quickly that you could almost feel your nerves stretching within.
There stood Sanji, attired in his crisp white chef's uniform, deep in conversation with a waiter near the kitchen entrance. The instant your eyes fell on his brilliant smile, the blond hair gently falling over his left eye, the defined contour of his jaw, and the rhythmic bobbing of his Adam's apple, it felt as if your chest was about to explode. You redirected your attention back to Mari, taking in a deep breath as you felt your cheeks glow with warmth.
"Mari, he's here.”
"Yeah, I can see that.”
“What should I do?”
"What are you waiting for? Go say hi!”
She was thoroughly enjoying herself, her giggles echoing at your evident agitation in Sanji's presence.
"He's on duty, I can't just go over there and distract him from his responsibilities.”
"Actually, nevermind. I think he's just spotted us.”
Your heart leaped so violently that you needed to swallow it back down. "What?! You're kidding, right?”
“I’m not joking. Don’t turn around, he’s heading our way.”
Shit shit shit shit.
What were you even supposed to say? Would he be glad to see you? How could you maintain a cool exterior when you were struggling to keep your rambling in check? What if-
“You’re back!”
Mari pursed her lips in an effort to contain a burgeoning laugh, a reaction that was completely justifiable given the circumstances.
You spun around, and the moment you locked eyes with him, your breath was completely taken away. Because, honestly, how could a man possibly be this attractive?
Regardless, you managed to summon a bright smile in response. "Sanji, hi!"
“Hey!”
The gentleness that radiated from his greeting was simply overwhelming. He didn't afford you a moment to digest the situation, as he promptly swept you into a hug that was gentle, slightly cautious, yet concurrently bold. You could catch his aroma interlaced with the scent of cigarette and the kitchen's fragrances. It was soothing, it was sweet, and it was unforeseen.
Sanji appeared genuinely thrilled to see you there, and you courageously lifted your hands to hesitantly reciprocate his embrace.
Despite the barrier of clothing, you could feel the hardness of his muscles against your palms.
"I was concerned about you. Are you okay?”
The realization that he had been thinking of you was flattering and heartwarming.
"Yes, I'm doing well.”
You appeared to lose track of your surroundings, and even Sanji seemed reluctant to draw away from you. The sound of Mari's throat-clearing brought you back to reality, urging you to create a distance from him as you regained your poise.
"Good to see you again," she addressed him.
Sanji responded with a graceful smile, reaching out for the hand she had extended for a formal shake. In a classic display of his gentlemanly manners, albeit a bit extravagant yet still charming to see, he opted to lightly kiss her knuckles instead. "The pleasure is mine, madam.”
"Oh my, where have you been hiding all this time?"
Seeing as she was looking straight at you with an almost unnoticeable wink, it was clear that she was asking that question on your behalf.
Sanji looekd bashful, eyeing you with an enchanting glint in his aquamarine eyes. It made you go weak in the knees, akin to a punch in the gut that left you breathless and light-headed.
Mari, quickly picking up on your temporary disorientation, immediately intervened to break the ice. She leaned casually against Sanji, resting her arm comfortably on his shoulder. "Could we possibly have a word with your boss? There's a matter of utmost importance that requires discussion.”
Right, you thought to yourself. Of course. Pull yourself together, Y/N!
Sanji's brows furrowed in confusion. "You want to speak with Zeff?”
Mari subtly nodded to nudge you, shifting her eyes to the side as a signal towards him.
"Oh, uhm... yes. Is he around?”
"When isn't the old man breathing down my neck?" He responded, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "I'll get him.”
"I appreciate it, thank you.”
His smile broadened considerably, his expression reverting back to his playful, flirtatious manner. "Anything for you, beautiful.”
Why did his compliments always make you blush as red as a ripe tomato? Your cheeks felt like they were set ablaze as you watched him walk away, and your heart pounded so violently that you were half-convinced it might cause the entire establishment to tumble violently into the sea.
Gosh. Even his walk was alluring, not to mention the way he swept his left bangs away from his face.
"Mari, I swear, you're going to be the end of me.”
"In what way?”
"Just look at me. I’m a mess.”
She scoffed at your words. "Enough of that. Cheer up, I assure you there is no chance he will reject you. And by 'he', I'm referring to the head chef.”
"How can you be so sure?”
"You'll see. Just trust me on this, okay?”
Somehow, her smile suggested that she had been keeping a substantial piece of information hidden all along. "Mari, what is it that you're not telling me?”
"Ease up.”
You looked at her in disbelief, observing her casual movements as she settled into a seat and picked up a piece of bread from the basket at the center. Sighing in resignation, you mirrored her actions, settling into the chair on the opposite side of the table, but not daring to touch even a single crumb.
Each passing second felt like an eternity, the uncertainty of what the day held looming ominously over you. Your father's harsh words persistently invaded your thoughts, echoing in your ears as if he were shouting them from right behind you. "You're a failure. You won't achieve anything on your own. You are nothing without me.”
There was more to you than the image he consistently tried to project. Yet, every time you attempted to place some faith in your abilities, he always managed to pull you back down. His influence was felt even in his absence.
Minutes ticked by, too many to keep track of. Just as you were on the verge of standing up and storming out of the main door, Zeff's gruff voice resounded into the dining room.
"Well, I'll be damned!”
For a moment, you feared he was critiquing your presence before you could even speak to him, but it didn't take long for you to realize that his words weren't meant for you at all.
"Zeff!”
Your eyes expanded in surprise as you watched Mari greeting the chef with the familiarity of an old friend. Her hands comfortably encased his larger one in a warm clasp. "Thank you for making time for us. I know how busy you can be.”
Wait, what?
"Do you remember my friend, Y/N?”
To say that you were utterly shocked would be an understatement. What sort of joke had you wandered into?
"Aye. I hope you're faring well now.”
Despite your attempts to regain your voice, you could only nod in response.
"She has something to discuss with you," Mari interjected. "But it would be best to have the conversation privately, just between the two of you.”
Zeff hummed in understanding. "I suppose I can take a minute off.”
Your blood turned icy as the pieces fell into place. The effortless way Mari had secured a table when others had to wait weeks in line, her overbearing confidence about your hiring request - it all suddenly made sense given how well-acquainted she was with the person in charge.
A part of you felt betrayed, as if you had been deceived right from the start.
Mari called out your name, noticing your complexion turning pale. This time, your reaction had nothing to do with your previous anxiety, which had now completely dissipated and been replaced by a newfound determination to uncover more.
"I apologize, but... you owe me some explanations.”
Zeff placed his hands on either side of his waist, chuckling with amusement. "You didn't mention it to her, ey?”
Mari grinned like a child caught with her hand in the cookie jar. "Oopsie.”
"Don't give me an 'oopsie' now, this isn't something to be taken lightly.”
"Listen, we will talk about it later, I promise. For now, just go with Zeff and do what you need to do.”
Now, in light of your discovery, your skepticism had greatly deepened. Would he even consider hiring you based on your own merits, or were things already prearranged, again?
Not wanting your journey to have been entirely futile, you eventually resolved to engage in conversation with the head chef.
"Fine. But don't think you're off the hook so easily.”
Mari remained as calm and confident as ever, not perceiving your warning as particularly grave.
Shifting her focus back to the mustachioed man, she offered an innocent smile. "She's more feisty than she looks.”
Zeff was a far cry from the serious former pirate you remembered. Whether this change was a result of Mari's visit or merely a buoyed spirit, you couldn't really tell.
"I'll keep that in mind," He said with a hearty chuckle. “Come on, this way.”
As he pivoted to guide you to a more secluded area, Mari offered a gentle shove on your back and flashed two thumbs up. Despite her encouragement, uncertainty lingered in you as you quietly followed the the man with the pegged leg towards the known environment of his office.
The chef settled comfortably into the chair behind his desk, courteously offering the one in front of him for you. As you sat down, you played with your fingers, unsure about how to initiate the dialogue.
Eventually, you posed the most straightforward question that came to mind.
"May I inquire about how you know my friend, sir?”
Zeff grasped his long white hat, setting it delicately on the table and revealing his tousled blond short hair. "Ah, that's quite a story that she might want to share with you herself.”
You arched an eyebrow with no intention of backing down, anticipating further explanation.
He sighed deeply, then confessed, "I knew her father, a long time ago.”
From your recollections, the man had met a tragic end in a maritime accident when Mari was but a child, the specifics of which she had never wished to divulge. By the time you first encountered her, he was already gone. She consistently spoke of him as a hero she aimed to emulate - a figure of strong morality and impressive fighting prowess.
It wasn’t hard for you to grasp the truth behind what she hadn't disclosed.
Delving deeper into it, you asked, "He was a pirate, wasn’t he?"
“….Aye.”
Considering her personality and her typical approach to handling things, it indeed provided a believable explanation.
And then, you could see a wave of melancholy wash over Zeff's features.
"She's a good kid," he continued. "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree”
Regrettably, you couldn't entirely concur with that sentiment. "Sometimes it does, but that's a different story.”
Zeff watched you with intense scrutiny, observing as you lowered and shook your head in an attempt to dispel unwanted memories.
"Did you want to ask me something?”
Tightening your grip on your knees, you confirmed. “I do, sir.”
“Go on, then.”
It seemed that Mari hadn't actually revealed your intentions to the chef. Either that, or he was exceptionally good at concealing it.
"Firstly, I wanted to sincerely apologize again for the actions of my ex-fiancé during our last visit.”
"Nah, you shouldn't be the one apologizing," he emphasized.
"I accompanied him here, so it falls on me. I wanted to ask if there's any way I could make amends for the ruined food and damages.”
Zeff pondered your question, stroking the top of his big mustache. “What do you have in mind?”
You swallowed your nervousness, doing your best to articulate a suitable proposal without stumbling over your words.
"Is there any possibility that I could.... work here?”
Just as anticipated, a look of surprise slightly enlarged his eyes. "You want to work in my restaurant?”
"For as long as you deem appropriate. I don't have much to offer, but I could... maybe undertake cleaning duties? Wash the dishes? Things like that. I don’t require any compensation.”
When he persisted in his silence, you were consumed with apprehension that he might belittle you. What could a girl like you, primarily groomed to appear attractive and agreeable to affluent men, possibly contribute to a restaurant like his?
"I understand that I'm not exactly an ideal candidate. My cooking skills are quite basic, and I don't have any standout abilities that would make me a valuable addition to your team.”
He paid careful attention, noting how your eyes sparkled with unwavering conviction.
"But I'm a quick learner, and I'm really skilled at polishing things.”
"Why here? Why the Baratie?”
His interest was sincere, and it was highly probable that Zeff was trying to understand you and your motivations.
“If you want to work for me because of what that worthless excuse of a man did, don't bother.”
How could you possibly explain to him the depth of your interest, proving that it extended way beyond merely settling a debt?
As per Mari's advice, the most advantageous way to secure the job was to communicate your thoughts openly and honestly. Your brightest prospect of success stemmed from utilizing your innate strengths and maintaining your true self.
You had spent your entire life in pretense, masquerading as someone you never wanted to become.
"Sir, may I speak frankly?”
“Please do.”
And surely, Zeff was not a man to be readily influenced by insincere proclamations.
"I genuinely like it here. I spent an entire evening in your kitchen, and I was impressed by the passion and teamwork of your employees," you expressed. "From a young age, I was instructed to be assertive in all aspects of my life, all in the pursuit of finding a suitable husband who could provide political advantages for my parents.”
A large, unpleasant lump was developing in your throat, but you chose to disregard it.
“I had no voice in any decision, not once was I allowed to choose my own path. I was constantly reminded that I held no value on my own, and unfortunately, I started to believe it.”
The man’s gaze softened and his shoulders eased.
"For once, I want to choose for myself, to prove that I am more than what they led me to convince myself of.”
"Prove to whom, to them?”
“To myself.”
Suddenly, you felt a surge of tenacity that you never thought you could summon, realizing you had nothing left to lose.
"I'm not a chef, nor am I an experienced waitress. All I'm asking for is a chance, without anyone else dictate who I am.”
A silence descended between you two. Zeff's expression transformed to one of seriousness and focus, his eyes narrowing. The fact that he didn't dismiss you outright and was prepared to pause his work to listen was a hopeful sign. However, the impact of your words was still uncertain.
Eventually, he reacted with a pleased "hah!", evidently valuing your honest admission.
“Just so we’re clear,” he started, “Working here won’t be easy.”
"I'm not expecting it to be, sir.”
"We rise early, and the kitchen needs to be operational at all times.”
“Naturally.”
You were not one to oversleep or shirk your responsibilities anyway.
"It can turn into a real mess, with many dishes and pans to scrub.”
"I'm accustomed to putting a lot of elbow grease.”
The more you answered, the more satisfied he seemed. He sported a friendly and gentle smile, complemented by his long, twisted mustache.
"If you work, you get paid. You don’t owe me anything. Understood?”
“Yes sir.”
His intentions were unequivocally transparent, leaving no margin for error. However, despite the apparent success of your request, your mind was struggling to process it.
“And just another thing,” he uttered. “Whatever is happening between you and the Little Eggplant, it needs to stay out of my kitchen.”
Though he didn't seem noticeably irritated, the mere mention of Sanji was enough to instantly set you on edge.
"Oh... no, I don't.... we... I mean, there’s nothing going on.”
With a subtle smirk, Zeff let out a muffled chuckle before picking up his hat and resettling it on his head. "You start tomorrow morning, be ready at dawn. ”
You stared at him, mouth wide open in sheer incredulity, letting his words sink in. “Wait, that’s it?”
"I thought you wanted the job.”
"I do! It's just... I wasn't expecting you would accept.”
Zeff took a deep breath and released it with a prolonged exhalation. “You are asking me, and I don’t see any compelling reason to decline.”
"You… you’re not doing this because of Mari, right?”
“If you’re under the impression that I would hire you based on someone else’s endorsement, you are mistaken.”
You were at a loss for words to express your feelings. Relief, joy, and excitement all coursed through you simultaneously.
"I see something in you. They may have led you to believe otherwise, but whoever fed you that crap was blinded by their ignorance.”
"I... thank you, sir.”
Your parents overlooked your value despite your numerous attempts to prove yourself. How could he recognize it so effortlessly, just through that brief narrative of your life?
From everything Sanji had shared with you about the head chef, you had anticipated him to be somewhat difficult to engage with. In reality, he surpassed all your expectations, proving to be a man of depth and remarkable insight.
As Zeff rose, steadying himself on his foot and peg, you followed his lead. The walk to the dining room had an unreal quality, as if you were moving within a bubble, wrestling with something that verged on being a product of your imagination.
Yet, it was as real as it could possibly be.
Zeff offered one last piece of advice, pledging to formally introduce you to the staff by day's end. Mari, in response, immediately wrapped her arms around you, celebrating your success and assuring her old friend that he would never regret bringing you on board.
As the chef left to return to his responsibilities, Sanji reappeared, throwing inquisitive glances your way as Mari energetically shook your hands, her fingers entwined with yours. Part of you pondered if it would be best to keep it a secret until the last possible moment, but you could sense his curiosity gnawing at him.
Considering the fact that you had unexpectedly returned only to request a meeting with his boss, you couldn't really find fault with it.
With a single nod of her head, your friend granted you the honor of announcing the news, stepping aside and moving back to the table. You felt unready and unsure of his potential reaction. The thought of him being disappointed, possibly even losing interest in you, was creating a distressing knot in your stomach.
Regardless, there was no turning back for you, and you were committed to see it through to the end.
"Well, you see, starting from tomorrow, we're going to be coworkers.”
There it was, you had dropped the bombshell right in front of him. Your breath hitched again as you waited, watching his facial expression transform from confusion, to surprise, and then to quiet contemplation. After that initial moment of astonishment, his bright and loving smile re-emerged.
"Now I have an additional reason to fulfill my duty. Welcome to the Baratie, Y/N.”
Needless to say, the urge to hug him once more was irresistible. Your arms encircled his neck as you rose on your toes. It was a spontaneous act, carried out without much deliberation, fueled by your escalating emotions.
And your heart skipped a beat when he returned the gesture, tenderly supporting your back and soothingly caressing it with his hands.

When He Sees Me
Hobie x reader , confessions🎸
Tumblr media
“I’m not going to confess!”
You slammed your cup down, sulking. Your friends, Erato and Thalia, shot each other a look, rolling their eyes.
“You’ve known Hobie for like, what? Ten years?” Erato started.
“Fifteen.” You interrupted.
“Yeah, exactly. You two know each other so well, why are you scared of telling him your true feelings? What’s the worst that could happen?”
“Oh, I don’t know? He says no, and our friendship is ruined forever? I can’t even be his friend if he says no!” You groan, leaning back into your chair.
You don’t remember exactly when you fell in love with hobie brown. Sure, you two were childhood friends, but it wasn’t until one night, he stumbled into your house, his outfit dirtied with blood. He chuckled, seeing you scramble to grab your first aid kit. “I don’t know what I’ll do without you. “
Those eight words sent your heart into a frenzy, blood rushing up to your cheeks as you turned away in embarrassment. Despite that, you still managed out a reply.
“Probably patching up your own wounds at your own house.”
He laughed at that.
“I rather have you patch up my wounds here.”
Nothing was the same between you and him after that night. Well, nothing changed for him exactly, but just the smallest touches, subtle smiles between you shared with him, sent butterflies into your stomach. You found yourself looking into the mirror for way too long before going out, wanting to look your best for him. God, you felt a teenage girl, giggling at silly things like a crush.
But you weren’t stupid. He looked good, he was charming, he was brave and courageous, and you knew it. But others knew it as well. Too often, you would see him laughing, having good times with people who very obviously also had crushes on him. He had options if he wanted a partner, and you didn’t even know if you could be considered one of them. So you kept your feelings to yourself, not wanting to risk your current relationship for a love that wasn’t guaranteed.
“Are you actually planning to hide your feelings forever? “ Thalia’s voice interrupted your thoughts.
You sighed. “Maybe. He doesn’t have to know. Maybe he’s better off not knowing. I don’t want to burden hobie with my feelings.”
“What feelings?” A voice came from the window. You froze. That voice was all too familiar to you, the deep smooth voice that could only belong to one person.
“Hobie! Hi!“ You turned around, laughing nervously, watching as he climbed in through your open window. “Didn’t expect you tonight.”
He just shrugged. “I’m unpredictive like that, you know me. So? What’s those feelings you’re talking about?”
Thalia and Erato stared at you, as to say “Go on, tell him. “.
Hobie laughed, noticing their intense stares. “Must be something big then, if they stare any harder, they might dry their eyes out.”
“Oh it is something big, trust me.” Erato said. “We better go, wouldn’t wanna disturb the both of you.” She grinned, before the both of them rushed out the door.
“Well… alright then. What’s the big fuss about?” His jet black eyes met yours.
“Uhm..Uhm…” You couldn’t look him in the eye, turning your head away. “I’m…I’m..getting a dog. Yeah, That’s it.”
He chuckled, his hands gently cupping your face, bringing your gaze back to him.
“You’re not getting a dog. Wanna tell me what’s actually going on?” His voice turned soft, and so did his smile.
“I-I-” You squeezed your eyes shut. “I’m in love with you!”
Time seemed to stop at that second, your hands clenched into fists as you waited for his reply.
“Is that it?” You hear his laughter. You open your eyes, only to be pulled into Hobie’s arms.
“I’ve loved you since we were kids.” He whispered in your ear. “I never said anything cuz I always thought you were too good for me. But since you confessed…” He kissed you on the cheek. “I guess that makes you my girl now, huh?”
You hugged him back, hiding your face in his chest. “If I’m yours, will you be mine?”
“I’ve been yours this entire time, luv. “

This small thing was inspired by @skyloftian-nutcase's "good ganondorf" fics. If you haven't read them and the rest of their au's, please do!
Ganondorf's initial plan was simple: use the time sorceress to escape, kill her, kill the hero.
The plan changed as his spirit watched Cia and her ongoing defiance. Her desire to claim Hyrule for her own was understandable. The Goddesses were selfish in their possession of Hyrule and careless in their use of puppets to defend it. It only made sense to want to claim Hyrule for her own after being forced to watch over it for so long. Her obsession with the hero's spirit? That was not quite as understandable but possibly more useful. Capture and corrupt the hero's spirit and then never have to deal with the weapon of the Goddesses again.
His plans changed again when his spirit roamed Cia's temple. There was something unnerving regarding how many children stared back at him from portraits and statues. He recalled the Hero of Time from so many centuries ago and his first meeting with the brat. He had been too tiny to even climb up on Ganondorf's horse if he had wanted.
The portraits for this latest hero adorned many walls. Many featured him in his hero's garments, that strange, vivid green. Ganondorf had not seen another hero with that blue scarf, and it seemed this hero was rarely without it.
This hero looked young. Very young. There was baby fat on his cheeks.
In some of the portraits, the ones before he gained the green garb, he was even younger. Smaller. A child.
Slowly. Slowly. Ganondorf's plans changed again. He would kill the sorceress. With such an intense obsession, there was no guarantee that she would be controllable. Her madness went deep, something inside her broken and unpredictable. An unpredictable weapon was a useless weapon.
It was the Hero of Time who had damned him all those centuries ago, along with the Princess, but looking at the pictures of the pale Hylian with baby-fat still evident in his fair face, Ganondorf wondered.
Of the Goddesses, he believed it had been Hylia alone who had condemned the time sorceress to her fate. He had simply pushed Cia along an inevitable path. Ganondorf had no patience for the Princesses. All Hylia's blood and all mortal enemies. Only good to be manipulated and destroyed so his people could be restored to their proper glory.
Ganondorf had never thought much about the weapons of the Goddesses. He just knew he needed to destroy them before they had the chance to ruin his plans.
He had never thought about the baby fat or how he had owned bows bigger than the tiny children in these portraits. Threatening Ganondorf before their voices even broke. Smaller than the Gerudo children who used to run and play in the desert sands.
From the shadows, Ganondorf watched Cia with her obsession, and he changed his plans.
Kill the Princess. Kill the time sorceress.
Claim the hero.
Let the boy see who had truly chained him. Perhaps he could help the boy find true freedom, and in turn, the boy would aid Ganondorf's plans. Only through obtaining true power could they be free.
Let the Goddesses learn how it felt to have their own weapon turned against them.

Ranking ADA members on how likely I think it is that they'll be the PM transfer
9. Kunikida Doppo
Kunikida is far too driven by his ideals, morals and ideas of righteousness. He certainly doesn't have the most powerful ability in terms of combat and would therefore not be the Port Mafia's first pick either way. If they were to pick him he would probably refuse to collaborate and he'd cause more harm than good to the organisation.
8. Fukuzawa Yukichi
Fukuzawa's low on the list for many of the same reasons as Kunikida.
But I think he'd be more favoured than Kunikida by Mori, because of his combat capabilities and past moral ambiguity. As the president of the agency he's central to their dynamic too and it would shake the agency up, even if Kunikida were to replace him.
7. Miyazawa Kenji
Kenji's one of the strongest fighters in the ADA. But his ability is somewhat unpredictable and Kenji's very naive, which isn't a good thing to be in the criminal underworld. Mori is also probably the least familiar with him out of all the members of the ADA, so I can't really pinpoint a motivation he'd have for choosing Kenji.
6. Tanizaki Juni'chirou
Tanizaki's ability is very useful and would be perfect for crime. We also know very little about Tanizaki's past and backstory, so him becoming more in central in the next couple of arcs would be logical as he's the only member of the ADA that hasn't really been given this kind of attention.
But so far, it's unclear how central the transfer is going to be. For all we know, Tanizaki transferring could lead to less plot relevance for him.
5. Izumi Kyouka
Kyouka has already been in the Mafia, and is an experienced murderer. She also seems more prone to going back to her criminal ways than the other members when protecting the people she loves.
What stops me from putting her higher up on the list is that she fought long and hard to quit the Port Mafia, and would probably continue to do so if she came back. Kouyou and Akutagawa are both also content with her place in the light, and probably wouldn't vouch for her return.
4. Yosano Akiko
I've seen a lot of people theorise that she'll be the transfer, which is seemingly impossible as her not transferring is the one condition of Fukuzawa and Mori's agreement.
However, the only person who knows about this condition is Fukuzawa. If something is to happen to him, which Mori may be relying on, then she'll have no choice to comply. I think that she's almost guaranteed to get picked if Fukuzawa dies, but I find that unlikely as of now
Her ability is extremely powerful in terms of healing, and would be of great use to the Port Mafia. If she were to quit the Armed Detective Agency then the stakes would be a lot higher. In Yosano's own words; almost dead is the same as completely fine in the Armed Detective Agency.
She'd probably be reluctant though, and forcing her to join the PM at all would be tricky since she'd rather die than use her ability the way she used it in the war. That's why I rank Ranpo above her.
3. Ranpo Edogawa
Ranpo's the pillar that upholds the agency. It was started because of him and he's the person who keeps them in business.
We're also unsure of what Mori's motivation for the transfer is. If it's to hurt the agency, then Ranpo would be the best way to do so.
Ranpo is also one of, if not the smartest character in Bungou Stray dogs. He would make an incredible strategist for the Port Mafia, and holds a high amount of power within Yokahoma's law enforcement. Ranpo could probably make innocent people take the blame for crimes committed by the Port Mafia. But he may be too smart for Mori, which would lessen his chance of getting picked.
2. Nakajima Atsushi
Atsushi's the main character of Bungou Stray dogs, which makes him a likely candidate for the transfer. He's also shown to be very self-sacrificial, and would probably offer to go instead of someone else. I could see him for an instance try to give himself up for the sake of Kyouka or Dazai.
Additionally, he's one half of the newest generation of Double Black. Him and Akutagawa are often shown as parallels, and giving their relationship more depth and screentime would be a logical step for the show. He's also one of, if not the most powerful fighter in the ADA and his ability is said to be The Book's guidepost.
If the Port Mafia's after the book then Atsushi is the best choice they can make.
Dazai Osamu
The only way I can honestly see Dazai not transferring to the Port Mafia is if the setup for him doing so is a red herring.
First and foremost, Dazai's blood is "Mafia black" as Higuchi put it. He has a long history in the Port Mafia, and used to be central in it.
When Dazai was fifteen, Mori predicted that he'd take over the throne in seven years. Now he's twenty-two.
Mori's shown to be an intelligent and manipulative man, and it's not impossible for him to have deliberately killed Oda Sakonosuke knowing that it would lead to Dazai going to the light side. Whilst Dazai was certainly useful, he wasn't a good mentor or leader, as shown with the abuse he made Akutagawa endure. Him going over to the light side made him more compassionate towards his mentees, as shown with Atsushi.
There's also been a very clear development with him in the last couple of seasons. Dazai's crimes were leaked, and he may not be able to return to a normal life even if the agency prove their innocence. Even if his old crimes are erased again, he has also committed new ones, like jailbreak. He's also repeatedly shown with his bangs covering his right eye, which parallels the bandages he wore "in the dark".
We see several characters forgetting to count him as a part of the Armed Detective Agency. They may have forgotten it, but it's more likely that they've realised that Dazai's going to be the transfer or that it's foreshadowing.
And whilst he was central to the plot, Dazai was separated from the rest of the Agency in the majority of season five, and could only communicate with Ango. This may have been a demonstration of the Agency's capabilities without him, and they were shown to manage the crisis on their own.
Everyone has their own role in the agency, except for Dazai and Ranpo who share the role of the "brain". If Dazai were removed, then Ranpo could probably cover his bases but Dazai couldn't cover Ranpo's bases.
There's also his partnership with Chuuya. It was focused on a lot during the Meursault arc, and is the focus of a lot of light novels. It would make sense to have Chuuya be a more central character by having him team up with Dazai, the shows secondary main character. Chuuya's character development is clearly not near finished, and reuniting with Dazai would accelerate it greatly.
Lastly, Dazai's a genius and a part of Double Black. His return would not only bring back the Port Mafia's infamous weapon of Corruption, but also their infamous strategist and Demon Prodigy.
These are all of the actual clues, so this last part is just me going off about the Dazai-is-the-book theory and why I think it fits in with this:
Mori knows more about Dazai than the other characters, and he's also the leader of the only organisation not shown to be after The Book. Dazai's life prior to him joining the Port Mafia is a mystery, and might be very central to the plot.
The book is said to be sealed, and Dazai might very much be the seal. If he was created by The Book in order to seal it then that would explain his suicidal tendencies. He's a projection of the page on which the seal was written's wishes, and if the book wants to be destroyed then he wants to destroy it. Alternatively, the seal was forced upon the book, and can only be broken by his death.
If he wasn't created to be the seal, but rather was given the role by someone/thing else then he could be suicidal because:
a) he wants the seal to break and the book to return
b) he wants the book to be destroyed
If this is the case, then Mori would have good reason to want him back into the Port Mafia. It's not unlikely for Dazai to "replace" him upon his return, which Mori is well-aware of.
Isn't that a bit weird? Unless, Mori has more important motivations than the preservation of his own life. Like for an instance getting a hold of the book, or a chance to destroy it.

As much as I love Dramione and that community. I stopped reading Dramione because of Ron’s characterization. Ron bashing is so normalized that it has become a Dramione convention and I’m not in for it. A lot of the faults that they give Ron are a lot of things that I can relate to (mediocre at school, procrastination, feeling like the lesser sibling) these are pretty standard Ron characteristics in Dramione. Usually the relationship with Draco start as a secret so Hermione is always alone in Dramione fanfics, her friendship with Harry and Ron is only a thing from the past that is occasionally mentioned. So a lot of Ron’s strong points are never there, I.e his loyalty, bravery, his defense of his friends, vast knowledge of the wizarding world. It is bothersome to see the way they portray students that do not excel in school, or have strong points that do not include academia.
Then also Astoria, she’s usually death or the crazy wife. Rose granger Weasley is non-existent while Scorpius Malfoy is a pretty common character, and Hugo… who is that ? The community doesn’t even mention him. I’m a bit disturbed by the way all of Hermione’s children in canon are just erased. Draco can be the dad, the widower, or the divorce but Hermione is the one that is single for a while, never married, haven’t had a proper shag, and ready to be the stepmother.
I always feel that they’re projecting their ex-boyfriends onto Ron, and Draco is the rich, intelligent, hot guy that they’d wished they upgraded for. In many stories Ron and Hermione break up because they always fight, but then they have Draco and Hermione quarrel just as much.
I would not be so bothered by it if I didn’t see all of this so much.
thank you very much for the ask, anon!
dramione certainly isn't my circus, but i find the same phenomenon occurring in my fandom spaces, since i'm someone with a preference for pairings which put harry with someone other than ginny - i've waded through so many fics in which ginny ends up getting turned into a complete bitch with no redeeming qualities and her relationship [both romantic and platonic] with harry is handwaved away in order to make her someone he never actually liked, who he only dated for a bit because he was forced to.
part of this is just standard slash subfandom misogyny when it comes to female characters, which we all need to get a grip on. but - as you say - it's also so prevalent in the fandom treatment of ron. and i find it really uninteresting!
i bang on a lot on here about how any ship is possible if an author has enough nerve - and how the reason for this is that love is fundamentally strange and unpredictable, and nobody can ever predict how it will strike.
but this comes with a flip side - that the strangeness of love means that its ability to last isn't always guaranteed. or - any ship can be disentangled interestingly and sincerely and [if that's an author's aim] canon-coherently with a bit of effort.
i think there are lots of really compelling things which could be done with the premise that ron and hermione don't get together or don't stay together - whether dramione ends up as the endgame or not - which don't need to reduce ron to the lazy, whinging boor he so often becomes.
and this includes thinking about divorce and co-parenting and blended-families in circumstances which aren't acrimonious. i think it's really striking that - as you say - there's an unease in fandom spaces with characters [above all female ones] having been married or had children in prior relationships. and there's also an unease about marriages which end for comparatively benign reasons - such as a couple simply not wanting to be in a romantic relationship with each other, but wishing to maintain a platonic one. divorces are always bitter - and the only time relationships break down without one partner becoming the bad guy, it's because someone [usually a woman] is dead.
this obviously isn't something fandom created, but it's still a wider cultural bleed-through into fandom which i find fundamentally boring.
and this is even though i very much understand the appeal of fairytale endings - draco malfoy as every disney prince rolled into one - as tropes. we all love a bit of self-insert fantasy, a bit of rom-com schmaltz, a bit of a knight in shining armour rescuing princess hermione from horrible ron.
but i think there's something valuable - and something no less fun, or moving, or compelling - about love stories which feel a bit less epic. second love, or friends-to-lovers-to-friends-again, or "there's no such thing as soulmates", or "this was fun while it lasted".
i genuinely think ron would be great as a divorced dad - not least because you know the single mams would be flocking to chat to him when it's his turn to bring the cake for playgroup - who remained best friends with hermione after they split.
and i think the dramione-specific comedy-of-errors of him and draco negotiating their new dynamic [mutual seething giving way to begrudging cordiality giving way to tentative respect] would properly bang as a premise.

Yashiro and Tsukasa's Relationship
Tumblr media
You have to admit that kiss took you by surprise, didn't it? Suddenly Tsukasa, who had been missing for so long, returns in all his glory making everyone talk about him.
The war between Tsunene and Hanene had started hahaha I particularly found it interesting how most people didn't notice the signs that Tsukasa gave throughout the series about how he saw Yashiro.
We must assume that Tsukasa is a controversial boy, totally unpredictable and difficult to read, but one thing that helped me see the signs is that I like to separate the pieces before analyzing.
What do you mean, analyze the pieces?
I don't analyze Tsukasa in general, I divide it into periods. There is the 4-year-old Tsukasa, the 13-year-old and the sealed one. The three are the same person but they are totally different with some similarities.
Tsukasa child is kind, empathetic and emotional. 13 year old Tsukasa is similar, but we don't have much information about him yet, sealed Tsukasa is chaos, but apparently he is also emotional. We can now follow this side of him. The way Tsukasa was dealing with Yashiro in chapter 107 is surprisingly contrary to how he usually is.
Tumblr media
For a boy who gets angry quickly and acts aggressively at the slightest opportunity when disturbed, reacting so patiently with a child who throws a tantrum, who screams and hits him shows that there is still the 4 and 13 year old Tsukasa there.
Tumblr media
Looks like Hanako isn't the only one who's a good actor, twin thing, you know. It's funny how sometimes I can see the 13-year-old Tsukasa in him, always with that melancholy look…
Tumblr media
It's as if in the midst of that chaos there is a calm that few people can see. This calm that Amane loved, but he couldn't bear the storms. So, it all started with Nene. Little Tsukasa's eyes shone for the first time in so long, someone hugged him so willingly.
Tumblr media
So the stars, you know, those stars that always appear when the characters are enchanted, happy, or positively surprised by something
Tumblr media Tumblr media
they appear here.
Tumblr media
So he is relieved when Kou says he has never kissed her
Tumblr media
He asks Yashiro if she likes him or his brother. He wanted to show Yashiro about Amane's past, and he does so from the beginning.
Then, the sealed Tsukasa takes her to the tea party and purposely makes her see Amane from the past. He makes Yashiro take the teacher's seal, and another piece of Amane's history.
Hahaha of course we know he uses Nene to take out the Yorishiros, I talked about that.
But let's focus on the relationship between them in addition to related objectives.
How does Tsukasa see Yashiro?
Isn't that the golden question? His eyes shine in childhood when she hugs him, he is relieved when Kou denied kissing her, he abruptly approaches her face when she denies kissing or dating Amane, he regresses when he almost hits her head on the floor when Yashiro got in the way with Mitsuba (scary), he might not have killed her but hurt her the same way he did Kou. Then, he returns to the school festival and asks her to play with him again, then the kiss and his good reaction to him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aren't they signs?
This doesn't guarantee anything, but the signs are there. The twin who would fall in love with the girl his older brother loves… What would be the best revenge for the older brother who killed him?
What if Amane had killed him because Tsukasa had fallen in love with the girl he loves? hahahaha this crossed my mind even though it seemed so unlikely, but was Tsukasa kissing Yashiro something you thought would happen?
But then, Amane feels guilty and doesn't accept any justification for killing someone. He punishes himself all the time thinking about it. But he would explain why he is so jealous and insecure (in part, because there is no shortage of reasons for Amane to be like this, I could list them all day hahaha)
But imagine, the classic story of twins who fall in love with the same girl and one of the brothers kills the other for the girl's love. And in a worse case scenario, what if he killed them both because they were guilty to him.
But what if Tsukasa decided to give up Nene because Amane fell in love with her?
Ok I exaggerated now, sorry XD hahahaha
It's funny how the relationship between the three fluctuates like that. In another post I talked about how it would work according to Tsukasa's goals. Using Nene to manipulate Hanako and remove the seals, if you want to know more about this hypothesis, click here.
But since we are talking about how their relationship would work without considering these goals, because there is a possibility, after all, Amane also had a goal but fell in love with Nene, why wouldn't Tsukasa be the same?
Maybe he was just fulfilling Amane's wish, to meet Nene again. Ah, the hypotheses, how could we adopt just one? There are so many possibilities…
But honestly? It seems that Tsukasa, dissatisfied and hurt that his brother killed him even though he sacrificed himself for him, may have felt that he didn't do enough.
Amane still hates me, what could I do to make him love me? What I did before wasn't enough, so what is his wish? Meet Nene again?
And Tsukasa didn't make that happen? He said he can feel a desire within the heart of whoever summons him, if that wasn't the only thing, what else would it be?
It's as if Tsukasa is spending the last of his energy to fulfill his older brother's wish, and Nene is part of that wish.
Melancholy, isn't it? You try hard to make the person you love most love you back, you think they hate you, so you do everything for them to make them love you, but in the end they stab you. When you regain consciousness, you are hurt, but you love him enough to forgive. So, you try again, you try to fulfill his wish, even if you have to disappear again (when your yorishiro seal is removed).
Tumblr media
And you work so hard, but what will you get in return?
What will Tsukasa get in return?
I'm going to admit that I loved that Tsukasa kissed Yashiro, not because I ever considered Tsunene, but because it shows that Tsukasa was always much more than he shows us.
Because he is a storm, but you know, every storm has its lull.

Hello it's the anon who said about the Ivan collar thing 😭. I come with some little brainrots.
Mizi sang "Black Sorrow" as a solo cover for unrequited love, with Sua being dead.
But the cover made me think. What if somehow Sua, in a way, is the Till to Mizi's Ivan. What if Sua, even if she loves Mizi back, never really fully indulged in it.
Specially in "My Clematis" where Mizi regarded Sua as a god, all I can imagine is Sua who always kept a perfect image in front of everyone including Mizi. Sua who never really showed her vulnerability to Mizi even though the other girl bared her entire heart. Just the idea that she somewhat kept a mask of pretend, letting Mizi be as blissful as it can be before the inevitable.
Aka tragic Yuri breaking my heart that Sua had to keep her own planned death a secret from her beloved because of one (and only) little selfish wish, which is to let Mizi live.
(Also sorry for spamming asks this frequently! I've been going through ALNST hyperfixations and your blog have a great humor.)
DONT EVER BE SORRY FOR SPAMMING ASKS! they make me really happy! Thank you so much! Sorry it takes me a while to answer them sometimes, my brains been pretty messy as of late, and I keep losing track of time.
That's a really interesting perspective to see it from. Regarding their relationship as a whole, I actually think it was the opposite. Sua only ever opened up to Mizi, and to everyone else she was timid and closed off. That was one of the reasons why their bond was so strong, they clung to each other. Sua retreats into herself, avoiding others in an attempt to protect her soft-hearted feelings, only sticking to Mizi because she loved and trusted her most. Mizi loved Sua like a dog because she was a cure for her loneliness back when Mizi felt isolated and afraid of being away from her home. They gave each other everything, which is why the thought of Mizi dying filled Sua with so much anguish that she'd rather die herself.
But if we're talking about the few weeks leading up to the first round of ALNST (you probably meant this, my bad) then definitely. She spent the last of her life counting down the hours, putting on a brave face and trying to make the remainder of her time with Mizi the best it could possibly be. I assume it was Mizi that proposed a tie. Sua played along, or maybe even believed in it at first, because ALIEN STAGE was something that they both looked forward to their whole lives, something that was held over their heads like a reward instead of the death sentence it actually was. Sua most likely started planning her death after she realized the possible consequences. The thing is, according to the MiziSua interview, a tie had never happened before in ALIEN STAGE. Which means that we don't know what happens if a tie actually does occur. It seems unlikely that ALIEN STAGE, which derives its stakes from the deaths of the contestants, would let both go forward thanks to a tie. I mean, if that happened, then everyone else would just decide to tie in order to keep each other alive, and where's the fun in a deathless season? Where's the stakes in that? It goes against everything ALIEN STAGE is built on. If a tie did happen, they most likely would have forced a situation where one of them would have to die anyway. It just lengthens the process and makes it more complicated. I like to think that, at some point, Sua realized this. If they tie, there's no guarantee that they both stay alive. In a tie situation, they might even randomly pick the contestant to be eliminated. The circumstances are uncertain and unpredictable, and within those hypotheticals Mizi dying is always an option. But if Sua adjusts her own performance level without Mizi knowing, she can ensure that the only person who has to die is herself. As stated before, Sua is soft-hearted. Her blank demeanor is indeed a mask for overwhelming feelings that lie beneath the surface. Mizi worships Sua, but Sua loves Mizi an incredible amount too. She must have loved her so much that Ivan, an exceedingly observant asshole (affectionate), picked up on it and was able to discern her intentions. Ivan criticizes Sua for choosing to sacrifice herself, calling her out for "playing hero", but most importantly, accusing her of dying only because she herself cannot handle the pain of losing someone she loves. She cannot fathom living a life where Mizi is dead, so she "runs away" from it by any means possible. He accuses her of being a hypocrite because the future that pains her to think about is one that she is about to inflict on her beloved. Is it an act of love or an act of selfishness? Is Ivan twisting her genuinely pure intentions and chastising her into believing that it makes her a bad person? Despite being hit with this crisis and crying over it, Sua decides to sacrifice herself anyway. And her happy mask was so impressive that Mizi failed to notice she was digging her own grave.
Sua not "indulging" in her love for Mizi is actually really interesting, and I can see how it can come off that way because Mizi is much more affectionate. But I actually think otherwise!
I think it's not really that she refused to indulge in her love, rather she indulged in it so much that she died to ensure she'd never have to live without it.

PAIRINGS: various!characters (MTP) x gn!reader. GENRE: fluff, slight crack.
PROMPT: ‘the floor is lava!’ WARNINGS: possible spoilers if you squint, headcanon format, unedited, lowercase intended.
#. SYNOPSIS: how would they react during a small game of ‘the floor is lava’?
Tumblr media
even an illegal criminal organization that practically rules the underworld of london should be able to have fun every now and then, so it’s no wonder someone yells, “THE FLOOR IS LAVA!” any time they have the chance. each individuals reaction vary in many amusing ways — and your poor self ‘coincidentally’ gets dragged in every single time.
ever the slacker, MORAN is always the first to sprint to the nearest table or chair; depending on how hurried he is, he will either grab you and sling you over his shoulder, or pick you up bridal style, there’s no in between. nevertheless, 9/10 you end up in his arms as he tries to get off the floor, because there’s no way he’d leave his babe in lava. (it’s you, you’re the babe).
has an almost unfair advantage over most members due to his agility, FRED utterly dominates this game field — he has never lost the game and certainly doesn’t want you to either. so he grabs your hand and makes a run for it, if you can’t catch up, that’s fine because this guy has more strength in his body that he looks. he isn’t afraid to hoist you up and jump at the same time, of course he always places you on the furniture first, a real sweetheart.
though he doesn’t participate often, considering half the time he has a tea tray in one hand and a platter in the other, LOUIS let’s himself get clambered on as you search for refuge. he can and will balance the dishes whilst letting you jump on him, he refuses to have you stand in lava — this man is the standard, and an absolute gentleman.
another one that has you clinging on to him. WILLIAM is usually situated in his comfortable armchair, sipping on some warm tea when watching the amusing spectacle of the others scrambling across the room in search of furniture. he does not hesitate to let you clamber onto his lap, though his grip on your waist tightens so you don’t slip off.
being the dignified noble he his, ALBERT doesn’t join, instead, he spectates the chaotic scene like a play. but he wouldn’t deny you if you tugged on his arm, not giving him a chance to reply before pulling him on top a table, ‘saving him from the lava.’ he finds it mirthful, his arms will be loosely wrapped around your hips, holding you as you threw things at any remaining survivors.
his unpredictability is terrifying, especially if you’re his lover. unsurprisingly, he’s probably the one that called it out. you can never know whether JAMES will trip you up on his way to victory, or if he’ll pull you along with him. and if you do end up together, he keeps a hand on you, just in case you fall away, ‘a victory without you isn’t a win at all’ are his exact words. he invites you to hit people off their posts (moran), until he randomly shoves you off, as stated, he’s very unpredictable.
despite not having the ability of sight, he’s still very aware of his surroundings, and due to this, his other senses are enhanced. HERDER knows the entire room layout, he also has you to guide him, even though he doesn’t necessarily need it. sometimes, he pretends to be unable to navigate just so you hold his hand, a small smirk on his lips whilst you pull him close to you as you huddle together on one tiny stool. (you definitely notice it, he’s not as slick as he thinks).
MONEYPENNY is your free ticket from the lava, she’s not albert’s secretary for nothing, her position in MI6 is complimented by her physical prowess. as her partner, your safety is guaranteed, even though she herself doesn’t play much, she’ll definitely help you get to safety. although she stays composed, she’s mentally repeating to herself to help you out of the lava. the bae of baes.
Tumblr media
THE DETECTIVES:
most of the cases he gets other than from the lord of crime bore him, so it’s no wonder SHERLOCK attempts to satiate his boredom by playing this game. of course he’s already lying on the couch, a twinkle of amusement in his eyes as everyone’s yelling at him to move. the only person he’ll move for is you, he would watch you look around panicking then make a move, becoming you to him and pulls you against his chest.
she’s fiercely competitive in this game, the truth is, MISS HUDSON will help you from the lava as well. whilst waving her pan around, she easily climbs onto the table, taking you with her. she lets you throw the frying pan at sherlock, has a proud look on her face when you do.
this guy low key struggles because he’s too nice to shove someone off, but that’s alright because JOHN has you to do do it for him. with a small ‘sorry’ as you shove people into the lava, he’ll take part in sabotaging others if you ask him to though.
Tumblr media
A/N: hey lovelies, it’s been a while, i kinda lost passion for writing, so i took a hiatus and this was originally just a side piece. probably still won’t be back on a daily basis, but i hope you enjoy this. have a good day/night. 🫶

☀️Gisla Stringer focuses on persistence and faith in the face of hardship. Despite failures and catastrophes, She emphasizes the inevitability of difficult times. She uses the metaphor of weather to illustrate that while God does not guarantee perpetual brightness, there will be rain to aid in navigating grief. This metaphor represents the concept that obstacles are an unavoidable part of life, but they may be conquered with faith and perseverance.🌧️
Gisla emphasizes the necessity of remaining faithful amid challenging circumstances. She argues that faith is essential and that regardless of the circumstances, one should persevere. She gives hope and encouragement, reminding listeners that even when situations appear hopeless, there is a greater force looking over them. This concept of supernatural help offers consolation and encouragement in the face of hardship.
Gisla recognizes that certain events are unpredictable and incomprehensible. She acknowledges that things may not make sense right away. However, she encourages listeners to believe that clarity will ultimately come. This acceptance of uncertainty demonstrates a deep awareness of the human experience and the difficulties of handling life's problems.
