My birthday was yesterday, it was such a good day. At work, my co-workers surprised me with a birthday card and $25 gift card to Starbucks and cupcakes! Another co-worker treated me to sushi lunch. I received several texts from friends and family and lots of love on Facebook too.

After work, my parents and I went to this food cart place I like, for food, drinks and live music.

Also my parents got my a new purse I was eyeing, and some jewelry and a gift card to Sophora.

I'm supppper thankful. Yay for being alive another year.

Day 2 of being 24 (although, technically it's still Day 1 in Ireland)

No clue why I'm starting a new Tumblr just to basically post my diary entry for the day. Silly me forgot my new diary at home (what a git).

As you can tell, I've a bit 'o wine tonight! But I don't care. It's my birthday and I'm on my first solo trip!

Anyone been on a holiday all by themselves before? It's honestly soooooo overwhelming but in botha negative and positive sense. Like yes, I've had moments these last 2 days of wishing I had someone to chat with throughout this trip. The constant questions of "Oh it's just you?" can get tiring.

However, the idea that I can decide what to do for the day on my own schedule is very liberating. I don't need to set an alarm if I don't want to, I can wander till I find a nice place for breakfast and not worry that my partner is hungry and just wants to site down. And I can change my mind about plans without discussing or disappointing someone!

I legit had a moment this eve of absolute content and peace that I nearly teared up cause I was smiling so much! (now, in my defence I was on glass n°4 of Roussette de Savoie wine...)

I shall leave this here, cause I'm pooped. Who knows if I continue this Tumblr account. It'll probably be just for me but f it. I wanted to try something new and be less of an overthinker, so here we go!

If anyone (I'm sure no one but who cares) has ever been travelling solo, what was your experience like? And if you're thinking about travelling solo but can't decided whether or not to do it, what are your concerns?

I was definitely nervous and stressed (as my older brother pointed out) about simply getting from the airport to the town I was visiting. However, my wonderlust and curiosity about how I'd deal with the situation was more powerful.

To anyone debating solo travel, here's my advice (even if you didn't ask for it).

Go. For. It.

Even if you don't like the experience, at least you'll know to go with someone next time!

This weekend has been fun.

Friday night - met up with a new guy..fun times /cool guy.

Saturday- ran errands, met up with another date, went to the food truck carts in OC, had tacos, drinks and listened to a band.

Sunday - met up for a 2nd date with a guy from a few weeks ago. we met in NW Portland. Went to this weird artsy neiche museum. And then food and drinks.

All around good weekend. I also started watching House of Dragons (Im.always late to.the party) it's not as good as Game of Thrones, but I like it!!

It's officially my birthday week. I get free shit this week! And a few days after my birthday, I'm getting another tattoo.
