Best Friends- Yeonjun pt.1

You were laying on his bed as your best friend, Yeonjun played games, scrolling away on your phone and occasionally checking up on him as he complained about his teammates.

After some time has passed, you got hungry and decided to go eat something, walking up to him, you asked while standing next to him "I'll go make some food, you want anything jun?" he responded as he took off one of his headphones, pulling it to the side to hear you better "yeah, want me to order you something princess?" he looked at you from the side of his eye, an eyebrow raised. You were in his apartment after all, he had to treat you good.

"I'll order then, pizza?" you said as he focused back on his game "pay with my card sweetheart, treat yourself, get anything you'd like". As he said this, you smiled and leaned down to kiss his cheek "thanks junnie, I'll make sure to put it to good use" as you pulled away, you had grabbed his wallet from the desk, sorting out his card and placing the wallet back on the desk.

You walked back to his bed, laying down on your stomach, smelling his scent on the sheets. You ordered pizzas and went to different applications to order clothes, a bit of everything really, you just loved getting spoiled by him. You thought about making him a haul once everything came in, making yourself oh so pretty for him- but *hey wait! I shouldn't be thinking about that, he's my best friend...*.

You got back to reality when Yeonjun layed down beside you, he had just gone off his games and came to see what you were buying, happy to spoil you as if you were his girl. "what you got there, angel? gonna show off those pretty outfit of yours?" he asked with a smirk, unaware of what was going through your head. You handed him your phone so he could see what you had picked in your wishlist of every other app. "yeah, I'm sooo impatient to make you a haul, junnie. Thanks again really" you thanked him as you pulled him into a side hug, rolling onto your side to lay your head on his shoulder.

His head layed down on yours, keeping you close to him as he bought you everything you wanted. Being his best friend was amazing, even though you often wish you were more, you were glad to have him. He had gotten you out of many uncomfortable situations, always had been here for you and always helped you out when you needed it. You really were lucky, you thought.

You stopped daydreaming when the bell rang, after Yeonjun scrolled for at least 15 minutes on your phone, which seemed an eternity for you to think. You both got up and he opened the door, handing you the bag as he paid. You walked to his living room and placed the bag on the coffee table, sitting down on the couch, waiting for Yeonjun to get back.

You were done eating about the middle of the movie, getting up to clean your trashes as Yeonjun grabbed your wrist and sat you down, got up and said "let me do it, just enjoy the movie love, im the host, aren't I?" he cleaned everything and came back shortly after.

Once he came back, he sat down next to you, his arm wrapped around your shoulders as you cuddled.

“Can i go to your house?” Sobbin said through the phone.

“Sure” you answered.

“I’ll be there in 5, love you” he said.

“Love you too”

You hanged up the call with your boyfriend and started to watch some tik tok videos to wait for him to arrive. Just like 3 minutes later the bell ringed, luckily Soobin lived like 2 minutes away from your house.

You put on the hello kitty slippers that Soobin gave to you and went down to open the door. When you open it you saw your tall, handsome boyfriend with a beautiful bouquet of yellow flowers in his hands.

“Oh Soobin” you said with a big smile. “What is this for? They are sooo beautiful.”

“I read somewhere that there is a song about giving yellow flowers to the people you love on september 21st, and of course i had to give you yellow flowers because i love you with all my heart” he said smiling, showing his cute little dimples.

“Awww that’s so cute Soob, thank you, i love you” you said giving him a kiss.

“GOOD MORNING MY BEAUTIFUL SUNSHINE” said your boyfriend Yeonjun, entering your room with a song that you couldn’t recognize playing on his speaker.

It was 7am, you were still on your bed, with your pajamas on, and half sleep.

“Junnie?” you said opening slowly your eyes, adjusting to the light of the sunlight. “What are you doing? Is early on the morning.”

“Wake up Y/N, look what I bring to you” he said showing you a bouquet of yellow flowers. “This song in “Flores Amarillas” i don’t know how to pronounce it but that doesn’t matter anyway. It’s about giving yellow flowers on september 21st. And guess what? Today is september 21st and i love you.” he said hanging you the flowers and giving a kiss on your cheek.

“You’re always so cute Junnie. How did you know this?” you asked.

“I’m always searching days that have a meaning just as an excuse to give you a gift” he answered. “I know that you told me not to spend a lot of money on you, but i love you a lot and i want to give you millions of things because you deserve them all. I really love you and you are the prettiest girl I have seen, i’m just so lucky to have you.”

“Stop your gonna make me cry Yeonjun.” you said hugging him. “Thank you so, so much. I love you”

“You know i love you more” he smiled.

You were laying on your bed watching Tik Tok, you and your boyfriend Beomgyu had a date on like an hour so you had enough time to get ready.

While scrolling down on your fyp you saw a video of a woman who was explaining what was the meaning of giving yellow flowers to the people you love on september 21. Casually today was september 21st and you were also just about to see someone you love with all your heart.

Even if Beom didn’t had any idea of what were this flowers for, you decided to get up from your bed and get ready to go out. Luckily, a few streets away from your house there was a beautiful big flower store in which you could buy the flowers for your boyfriend.

You paid for the flowers and wrote a small letter that said “To the best boyfriend in the world, love you Gyu” decorated with a few hearts all around the text.

When you arrive to the park in where you were going to meet Beomgyu, you sat on a bench waiting for him to arrive. Couple of minutes later he arrived, but little did you know that he had bring you flowers too.

“I had a surprise for you” he said with his hands on his back. “Taraaan!” he smiled, Beomgyu also buy you yellow flowers.

“Awww gyu, look! I bring you yellow flowers too” you said receiving the flowers he gave you and giving him his.

“To the best boyfriend in the world” he read. “I know i’m the best boyfriend on the world” he smiled proudly. “Mine doesn’t have a letter…”

“Don’t worry about it, it was just a small detail i wanted to add”

“But I also bring you your favorite chocolates, i know you like them so i thought that with the flowers it would be a pretty gift.” he said.

“You’re really the best boyfriend in the world” you said cupping his cheeks and giving him a kiss. “I love you”

You were laying on Tae’s bed, both you and him watching tik toks. A video appeared on your screen, it was about a girl who received yellow flowers from her boyfriend on september 21st, today. She explained why people were giving yellow flowers to people they love and that is also a song that talks about it. Cute, you thought.

“I’m going out for a moment” he said getting up the bed. “I’ll be right back, love you”

“I love you too”

When he got out of the bedroom you just stayed on his bed, leaving your phone and closing your eyes while Tyun comes back.

“Y/N… Y/N” a voice said shaking you softly. “I’m back”

“Taehyun?” you said opening your eyes slowly.

“Look what I got” he smiled, showing you a beautiful bouquet of yellow and white little flowers.

“No you did not” you said with excitement. “Thank you very much Tae”

“I saw you when you were watching the video about it, so I thought that it would be a pretty gesture if I gave them to you.”

“I love them, they are so pretty! Thank you very much, really. I love you” you said kissing him.

“From now on I will give flowers all the septembers 21st” he smiled. “And i love you too”

휴닝카이 — Huening Kai

It was friday on the afternoon and you just came back from school. Today you didn’t have any plans because your boyfriend Kai was on a family trip since monday.

You entered you house, passing by the living room and finally getting to your room. You opened the door and went straight to your closet to take off your shoes and the jewelry you had on.

Turning around to go to your bathroom you saw that in your chair was placed a bouquet of yellow flowers, a box of chocolates, and two little crochet bees.

You knew about the yellow flowers on september 21st, all your friends had been posting all day about the flowers their boyfriends gave them. Of course you didn’t spect to receive ones due to your boyfriend wasn’t present.

You took the flowers on your hands and read the small note they have in it.

“Even if I can’t be with you I will always express my love for you. I hope you like them, the bees were too cute for me not to buy them. Call me when you see them, I love you.”

You took your phone out and took a picture of all the beautiful things your boyfriend gave you. And of course, you called him right after.

Awoken by the ever annoying alarm sound, you just barely manage to reach the device enough to slam it on your desk. Determined to take the battery out and make it stop working, you had changed your mind in the last second upon seeing a message pop up on it. “y/n ♡ yeonjun 10 year anniversary of friendship!! Don’t forget !!” with crinkles forming under your eyes, you smile endearingly just by thinking of him. Today was truly a special day for you two and you just couldn’t wait to see him in school and engulf him in a hug. Being a head taller than you, he was the perfect height for you to use him as a pillow. It’s almost as if your heart fluttered everytime he would gently place his soft hands on your face & cup them, squealing at your bunnylike cheeks. Maybe you had begun growing feelings for him but not wanting to ruin your friendship, staying quiet was the best option.

“ Take my hands now~” gently humming your favorite song on your way to your next class, you were firmly grabbed by a soft hand when a husky male voice harmonized with you singing the song. “You're the cause of my euphoria~” Immediately recognizing Yeonjun, not even batting an eye your tiny figure engulfed him in a hug. Your enjoyable moment was abruptly stopped by the school bell and before even managing to turn around properly, the taller male had already turned you around again and pulled you closer. A blushing mess was an understatement of your current state. He gently placed his soft hands on your cheeks and pulled your face closer to his & you just couldn’t help but stare at his beautiful brown orbs which held the entire galaxy in them. “Meet me after school in the school yard? I have a surprise for you.” Booping your nose, he giggled and jogged to his next class.

Impatiently waiting in the school yard, your thoughts were all over the place. Yeonjun was usually bad at hiding surprises, so how come you haven’t caught him yet? “He must’ve prepared it really well..” rolling eyes at your own inner voice, the tall, blue haired boy you had been waiting for finally came.

“I missed you.“

“We literally saw each other 3 hours ago.”

“3 hours is a lot.“

Giggling at his statement, you had started the important conversation.

“So, what is this surprise you’ve told me about?” grinning widely & stepping closer to him, you reluctantly asked.

“I want you to close your eyes and hold my hand. No peeking please. Do you trust me?”

“Yes I do. I am impatient so can you PLEASE show it to me already? you exclaimed that while jumping like an excited child.

Smirking, he took your petite hands into his and started leading the way. Excitement was present but he was scared of your reaction. Why was he scared? Perhaps, because he had feelings for you and he was going to confess. “What if scare her away or what if I ruin what we have now? I don’t wanna ruin a friendship for the sake of my own feelings.. but it’s worth giving it a shot.” Those were only some of the thoughts floating through his mind.

“ When are we-" he stopped you from asking the question by putting his hand over your mouth. “Just wait and you will see. I promise you won’t be disappointed.”

After walking for some more time, you’ve arrived at the destination. Your eyes were still closed and your heart felt as if it was about to jump put of your chest. As Yeonjun had stopped abruptly you bumped into him and let out a little gasp.

“We’re here. Open your eyes"

This is something you never expected from a boy like Yeonjun. A boy who's always late and very messy but nonetheless lovable and charming. The sight which met your shiny eyes had left you speechless. A small garden, filled with all sorts of flower patches, a picnic set up in the center and the most endearing fountain decorated with roses.

Without hesitation, you had entered the lovely place and made your way to the flower patches. Yeonjun had followed you right behind & plucked a flower along the way. As you were admiring the flowers, the boy had admired you. Smiling to himself, he handed you one. “Amaryllis. This flower symbolizes splendid beauty. It fits you as you’re beyond beautiful.” You tried hard not to blush, but was that really possible when Yeonjun was being charming & smooth? “Thank you Junnie. I’m flattered. But hey should we go to the picnic blanket and eat snacks?”

Nodding his head he agreed to your preposition & gently held your hand as you made your way to the blanket.

Cuddling up while deliciously eating the chocolate dipped strawberries Yeonjun had prepared was something you never expected. Especially for a 10 years of friendship anniversary. Immersed in your conversation with him, you had almost forgotten about the mesmerizing fountain. “Yeonjun!! Let’s go check out the fountain!!” you excitedly said while grabbing his hands and running over to it. The fountain was decorated with various types of roses, from roses covered in glitter to roses with tiny bows wrapped around them. But they all had one thing in common : they were all red.

“Yeonjun, I am out of words! This is absolutely splendid and I can’t believe you worked so hard for this. I appreciate it and I am so happy to have you in my life.” You said, turning to face him. Completely ignoring you, he suddenly asked “Do you know what’s a red rose's meaning?” with a straight face.

Flustered with the question, you hesitantly answer “I mean, yeah? Red rose symbolizes love & romance.”

“Well. I know this might be sudden to you but I love you. I admire everything about you, from your eyes to your cute petite hands, from the way crinkles form under your eyes when you smile to your nonsense jokes. I prepared this with the thoughts of confessing to you as I couldn’t hide my feelings anymore but if you just wanna remain friends then I will also be okay with that.”

Shock went throughout your entire body..but it quickly turned into happiness and shyness.

“You see Yeonjun, I also love you. But I was afraid to confess to you as I didn’t want to ruin our friends-" your talking was abruptly stopped as Yeonjun had pressed his lips against yours. The kiss was short and sweet but it was something you would forever cherish. His lips are plump and soft and your entire body felt as if it was 7 meters above the sky.

“Strawberries.”

“ Huh, what?.”

“ Your lips taste like strawberries, Yeonjun. My first kiss is also a strawberry kiss.”

He giggled at your comment and even though he thought the same, he mocked you for saying that.

“My FiRsT KiSs iS aLsO a StrAwBeRrY kiSs.” He imitated you in a funny tone and pushed your shoulder a little too harshly which resulted into a disaster. As both of you were still standing in front of the fountain, Yeonjun's act made you fall into the fountain ; but as you were holding his hand he got dragged with you and he also fell. Laughter erupted all over the place as both of you were completely wet, covered with rose petals over your hair.

“Well. Isn’t this just marvelous?” you said, splashing water at Yeonjun. He couldn’t say anything but just admire the way you look. Even though you were completely wet, the rose petals in your hair and your bright smile made him think you look like an angel. The boy smiled sweetly before gently pulling you into his embrace so you wouldn’t get cold and planting a kiss on your forehead innocently.

You were 12, when you stepped out of the apartment of your parents. You lived near the city center. You were on your way to the supermarket to buy some snacks for the evening, since your parents been away for two weeks nearly, because of work. They had to trust you and your brother fast, because of their work they would be away often, but you take it well. You enjoy the time alone. You were about to lock the door as you noticed the package in front of your neighbor door. With a confused look, you let your body move forward to the door frame to look if someone is standing there and of course, they stood a small family. Two adults and their son. He seemed taller than you and so older as well. His head turned around still unknown with the new surrounding. He noticed you at the door frame and a small smile appear on his lips. His body turned in your way and his legs started to walk towards you. “Hi, I’m Jisung.” He held out his hand. You looked at the latter hand confused, then you connected your hands. “Hi, welcome in the neighbourhood. I’m y/n. I’m living right there, if you need anything.” You smiled at him. His parents noticed you and you introduced them as well. “Jisung, why aren’t you going with y/n. Maybe she can show you the surrounding.” His mom said. He looked at you, while you were nooding. You two walked down the floor to the elevator and you immediately pulled out a lollie. He watched your actings and smiled at it. “Soo, why do you move in here?” You asked, looking at his side profile. “Well, my parents aren’t that often at home and so we couldn’t be in our old house, because they didn’t wanted me alone so often, since I have no siblings.” He answered. “Oh, I know what you mean. My brother and I are often alone as well. If you want you can come over. Isn’t it hard to leave your friends behind you?” You asked him. “Well, I didn’t really had friends when I lived there, so it wasn’t a big deal.” He said, looking at the floor. The elevator arrived and you two moved inside the empty metal box. “Oh I’m sorry, but now you have friends and good ones.” You told him, pushing his side a bit. “Oh really?” He asked. You laughed his reaction. “Yes jisung.”

Time flew and even before the school started again you and jisung became closer. You two weren’t so shy anymore around eachother. Jisung got to know your brother Jaemin, who is 2 years older than you and him. He saw Jisung as a little brother to him with the time. You three hang out often, since you were often alone. They were many sleepovers with movie nights or backing or cooking sessions. Jaemin often brought his friends over too, so you all started to form to a group. School started and it was even funnier with Jisung than before. Lunch time which were often in the library. Time flies and years as well.

Your 16th birthday and since it’s always in the summer holidays so it’s was for sure that you held a small party. It was the second birthday were your parents couldn’t make it, but they called you and wished you the best. The present you will get when they are back.

“Y/N!!” Jaemin yelled. “YOUR GUESTS ARE HERE!!” “DON’T YELL AT ME, EVEN IF YOU ARE OLDER.” You yelled back. “YAH, I can yell at you whenever I want! You little ugly cucumber.” He said while walking in the kitchen. “Yess, drrramaaa” Hyuck said while sitting down. “Don’t name me cucumber when you know that I hate them you little rat.” you said. “OKAAYY. Let’s stop your little fight and let’s start celebrating.” Mark said. “Oh Canadaa. You crashed it.” Hyuck growled. You laughed. “Hello to you too my sunshines.” You went in a hug, but Mark held something in front of your face. “Happy birthday lil sis. I wish you the best. You deserve everything in the world. Unbelievable how fast time flies, I feel my tears again. I’m crying over that for a few days haha.” He said. “No joke he really does. I went to his place a few days and he sat there with old pictures and cried on the floor. I went home in the second I came.” Hyuck throw in. “Thank you Hyuck for exposing me like this... anyways, i love you. Thank you for the time we spent together and will.” You hugged him and stayed for that. “Thank you Mark. This means a lot like you do.” You said. “My LOVELY BESTEST FRIEND IN THE WORLD. MY SUNSHINE. Happy birthday to you and you only. Just the best for you and I wish you the best. Love you, you know that. Stay the way you are and please keep sharing your lollies with me. I’m addicted because of you.” He said. “I will Hyuck. Thank you to you as well. I love you both so much.”

You knew them before you could even speak. The 3 of your moms were best friends and that’s how you became friends. You are the youngest of them so it was sure all of you were like siblings and everyone was okay with that. You told each other everything.

The bell rang again. “WHERE IS MY FAVOURITE BIRTHDAY GIRL??” Someone yelled from the other side, which cause you to smile. You opened the door and a happy Chenle jumped in your arms. “MY LITTLE BAMBI. I WISH YOU THE BEST. LEMME LOOK AT YOU. SO GREW UP OMG. I can’t believe that. Happy birthday sweet cheeks. Love you!!” He said while hugging you. “Here is your present.” He handed you. You hugged him again and mumbled a small “thank you so so so much”.

Time flew not that fast and the bell rang again. You opened the door and 3 boys stand before. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOSER! I wish you the best and more! Love you, you cinnamon roll.” Renjun handed you his present and pulled you in a hug. “Thank you junnie!!” You hugged him back. “Happy birthday bubbles. I wish you the absolutely best! You deserve the world! Love you peaches.” Jeno gave you a soft hug and gabe you a small present. You don’t lie, when you say he gives the best hugs ever. “Thank you Jeno pie.” You said in the hug. “Happy birthday to my best friend.” You can hear the soft voice of Jisung. “I wish you the absolutely best and all what you wish for! Be happy and bubbly forever. That’s just you. Love you sweetheart.” He went for hug and you could feel your heart skipped a beat. You ignored that and hugged him back. You maybe hugged for to long, because you noticed how quiet it got. You enjoyed it. You enjoyed his company. You went back to the kitchen and found your group in a very quiet, but with suspected smiles, mood. They all looked at you with a suspicious smile while you walked in the kitchen. You let it be and brought the cake.

You guys had lots of fun and laughed like A LOT. But your eyes always find the way to Jisung. You thought it would be unnoticed but as soon as the most of them were away and you were alone with Hyuck, Mark, Jeno and Jaemin, you knew there is something up. “Y/n... i have a question.” Mark got to your side. “You know we can talk about everything,, soo...” “Ugh Mark you make it more complicated than it is.” Hyuck said. You looked at them with confusing. “What we wanted to ask: Do you have any feelings for Jisung which are not on a best friend level?” Jaemin blurred out. Then it hits you. Do you? He was always at your side in the past years, he gave you reputation, you cried yourself out when sad feeling hits you, he gave you cuddles when you felt lonely, he gave you his hoodies when you felt cold, he gave you small kisses on your head when you felt nervous. You were kinda shocked. “Well, maybee.” You turned around and hoped they didn’t noticed your blush. “If that isn’t that what I waited for the last year than I’m not longer Hyuck. Finally.” Hyuck stated his thoughts. You were confused. “What?” “Nothing darling. We are just happy for you. So the holidays were almost over and your feelings for Jisung just grew. Your heart flattered when you heard his laugh. You felt the blush in your cheeks when he hugged you for to long. He were everywhere and you were straight falling. Falling in love.

Tomorrow came sooner as you thought and you stood there making enough popcorn for a big family. “It should be okay.” You looked at the time. *4 pm*. You jumped in the shower and clothed yourself in cute, but comfortable clothes. While showering you decide to take the chance and tell him about your feelings.

Around 5 you heard a soft knock. “Y/n~~~” Jisung said. “On the top is everything ready, are you ready too?” “Of course Jisungie.” He told you a joke while going up and your stomach kept swirling. He was your mood maker, whatever it was. As you got up you saw what he did. He turned your little place into a beautiful watching spot. The matresses which laid there were decorated with blankets, blankets and even more blankets. As well as pillows. In the middle stood his laptop and a series of movies. All the favourite ones of you two. “How beautiful you did that oh my god.” “You like it?” He asked nervously. “Of course,, it’s so chill and relaxing. Really really beautiful.”

You heard him something mumble but couldn’t get what he said. “What did you say?” You asked him with interest. “Nothing, just that the view is beautiful.” He said. Hours went and so the sun went and the moon came. You liked the night, because it was so quiet and it brought so many mysteries with it. You saw how the city was lighted and stopped the movie to go to the edge. “Isn’t it beautiful?” You asked Jisung while looking at the sight before you. You didn’t noticed the look Jisung gaves you: “Yeah.” He answered.

“Y/n? Can we please talk?” Jisung started. You looked at him confused. Your heart beats faster but you nod. “About everything you know that.” You answered him. “But I don’t want to talk about everything. I want to talk about you. I want to talk about us.” He looked you in the eye. “W-why do you want to talk about u-us?” You asked with stutter. “You know Y/n- Ever since I know you, you left a big impression in my life. I knew people, who stepped in my life and I was with them 24/7, but I got tired of them easily. Till I met and had the chance to know you. I still thank you that you came over as we moved in and that you showed me the surrounding. Timing couldn’t be better. If you were just a minute to late, everything could be in a other way. But I don’t want that in a other way. I don’t want us in a other way. I don’t know since when but I started to feel more than just friendly feelings for you. I always pushed them aside because it felt weird. But they came always back. But that’s okay. And I wouldn’t be angry at you or mad if you don’t feel the same. I know it’s a bit running over, but I held it in for to long..” he finally said.

“Jisung-“ you started. He looked at you. “I want you to know that you are an incredible human and no one in the world can take that away from you.” You said while tearing up. “Why are you crying softie?” He laughed while taking your face in his hands. “Please, hear me out.” You said. “I don’t know when or what happened, but since my birthday I realised my feelings. You are breath taking. Absolutely stunning. I would lie if I say that your laugh wouldn’t warm up my heart. And Ilove your hugs...” you said. “Park Jisung, I like you.” You said with happy outcoming and burning salt water on your heated cheeks. Finally you had that weight off your shoulders. You could breathe finally normal. He were shocked at first, but then he took you in his arms and hugged you tight. You took your arms and slung them around his waist while he brought you closer every second. You stayed for this for a while, eyes closed taking deep breaths of his scent. “We are now girl- and boyfriend, right?” You asked with a soft voice. “If you want us to. Of course.” He answered. “Do you want?” You looked at him with worries. He kissed your forehead and nose. “Definitely. Please be the light in my darkness.” He asked you still holding you and looking at your beautiful face. You laughed at it. “Only if you are always shining so bright as you can beside me. Like thoses city lights.” You looked at him. He kissed your forehead with love and agreeing. “Can we lay down please? I’m a bit sleepy.” You half yawned and resting against your boyfriends chest.

You two came back to school, seeing each other before you meet the others. Walking towards them hand in hand. Close to each other, smiling and laughing. “I knew it! I mean, I’m happy for you two!” Hyuck greeted you with hugs. “Thank you haha.” The others who came over the day got it that you two are together now, but weren’t surprised. They said: “It was a matter of time, but we are still happy for you!”

Dating Park Jisung is connected with lots of cuddles and hand holding. He is still the softie you know and there weren’t a sign of it that would change. There weren’t many new things, you just went to dates and cuddling in your bed whenever you had both freetime.

For both of you it could stay like that forever. You were both the others safe place, the others light.
