So now, 5 months later, you return home to your family who literally cries when they see you and you tell them you SAVED INAZUMA

Ping isn’t amused. “You didn’t bring home a man?”

He brings your sword that you left and thanks you for everything and apologizes once again, and it felt too awkward to have a goodbye like this so you ask him if he’d like to stay for dinner.

the second princess diaries movie is SO good I honestly liked it more than the first one

This is a movie not everyone has seen so ill give a brief summary of the first one and detailed of the second

In the first one, you, are a normal teenage girl living with her artist mom (…jean???) in some like warehouse turned house don’t ask 

Ur dad is dead (uhh, bye diluc ig RIP) he died when u were like idek 2? 3? WHATEVES

Okay so ur turning 16 soon, ur a complete loser at ur school and then one day ur…ig aunt because its acc grandma in the movie but if we’re casting diluc as the dad then Lisa will be the aunt LOOL, anyway ur aunt comes and she’s like omg let me see this girl

So u pull up to her house we ball until u find out its a LITERAL MANSION? AND THERE ARE BODYGUARDS?

Okay faster summary basically she tells u ur the next descendent of royalty because ur dad was actually supposed to be a KING but he gave it up so he could like idk live a normal life or wtv and Lisa is too old and doesn’t wanna give royalty away to some randos and the kingdom needed a new royal figure so UR THE NEW CHOICE

One day ur like supposed to do some grand thing on a horse idk but KAEYA’S DAD SABOTAGES IT and throws like a little snake in front of ur horse and ur horse goes crazy and everyone’s laughing at you and u and ur horse run and u hide in the stables

Kaeya comes in and he’s like oh it wasn’t that bad and u get so mad at him because you KNOW his dad had smth to do with it and u storm off

Okay so like one day ur hosting a gathering at ur castle outside and everyone is like OMGG u guys r so cute lols and then kaeya brings a DATE and then you and ayato go up to them and you and kaeya start arguing about who has a better date and ayato and his date end up leaving cuz of ur constantt fighting

You both realized u were lowk stupid

You guys just stood there and here’s the convo

It was awkward- you had lost complete sight of Ayato and Kaeya’s date so now it was just you and Kaeya.

“Fantastic party,” He chuckled, trying to make it a bit more bearable  “Thank you,” You gave him a fake smile,  “You two make such a lovely couple!” You gasped, surprised as you gave him a real smile. “We do!” “A shame your not attracted to him.” “I know it- it- wait…oh- YOU! COME BACK HERE!”

OKAY SO u like end up chasing him into a really secluded area and there’s like performances going on so no one notices and just keep in mind there’s a fountain

“You can’t just say that and walk away! I will have you know that I am VERY attracted to Ayato! He understands me-“ “Understands you? Wow! Such a passion!” You just scoffed, holding out your fan. “You’re just jealous!” “Jealous of Ayato? Why would I be when he has to be married to you.” You glared at him, then hit him with your fan. “I loathe you!” He hits you with his newspaper and you gasp. “I loathe yoU!” “I loathed you first!” You scoffed, taking a step closer. You realized how close you’d gotten and he grabbed the back of your neck, pulling you in as you let out a muffled yelp against his lips

Okay anyways UR LEG LIKE does the little kick where it goes up meaning u were ATTRACTED and its a PRETTY heated kiss and you wrap your arms around his neck and his hand goes around your waist and everything

You suddenly realize and back away. 

“You’re only doing this so you can make me fall in love with you so you can take the crown!” You walk away, angrily, but he wraps an arm around your waist and gasp as he pulls you back in. “Well, maybe I am…but maybe I just like kissing you.”

You trip and you both fall into the fountain and now ur soaking wet and you just like leave him

Lisa sees u and she’s like do I wanna know and ur like no but she ends up lecturing u later that night

The next day its like mondstadt independent day and your out in the carriage and everyone is watching and kaeya and his dad r like watching and u see these kids getting picked on and u stop the parade to like see who these kids were and u find out its a whole group of orphans and u decide you’ll like give a bunch of money to the orphanage and decide you’ll donate one of the gigantic mansions you have around the castle to the kids

Kaeya low-key realizes right there he’s genuinely in love when he sees u with these kids

Okay so like a week later ur supposed to learn how to shoot an arrow on fire through a hoop for ur coronation but u suck at shooting an arrow and u literally almost light ayato on fire and Amber and ur maids have to duck

“You know, im gonna take a few steps back,” Amber chuckles, taking 15 steps away from you

Just before u were gonna shoot an arrow, Kaeya comes and Amber DRAGS the maids away to give u some alone time

“Take your stance,” He said, standing behind you.  “Okay,” You breathed out.  He chuckled at your stance and came closer, “Elbow down,” He pushed it down for you. “Use your mouth as an anchor, keep your finger close to your lips, and relax this hand.” He put his hand over yours, and your breath hitched. His other hand went onto your shoulder. “Breathe in, then shoot.”

You did so and ended up GETTING A BULLSEYE YEAHH and u start cheering and he was like holding onto you about to kiss you bUT YOU TURN AWAY BECAUSE UR SUPPOSED TO MARRY AYATOOO

Then later that night in ur room, Amber runs into her room announcing herself “AMBER COMING IN,”

You sit up, confused. “Uhh???? Hello what?”

She screams at u to look out your window and KAEYA IS THROWING PEBBLES AT IT OMG and u ask him wtf is he doing and he’s like I wanna go on a stroll with you and u debate with amber if u should go or not and she’s like YES so you take a shawl and climb down the vine of the wall and u end up falling RIGHT INTO HIS ARMS AND AMBER IS LAUGHING FROM THE WINDOW

You guys end up riding your horses kinda far from the castle all the way to a nearby lake and end up cuddling against a tree and you both like open up and share random facts and you guys slow-dance to nothing

Then you end up SLEEPING at the tree and you were cuddling him and it was not comfy tbh

You wake up and notice in the lake a news reporter is on the boat and you look at kaeya and scream at him and ur like “YOU PLANNED THIS!” And he’s like iDK WHAT UR TALKING ABT and there’s a whole fight and you end up leaving on your horse and back to the castle and Amber turns on the TV to show the news and its you and kaeya and your like OH FUCK AYATO and u just start crying to ur grandma

ayato tells you he’s still willing to marry you and ur like bROO UR SUCH A SWEETHEART MAN

Okay comes the day of the wedding ur scared shitless like ur shitting bricks

Kaeya doesn’t go to the wedding but his dad does and then kaeya’s maid FISCHL tells him his dad called the news reporter and he’s like BRO I HAVE TO GO TELL Y/N SO HE RUNS TO UR WEDDING

Later ayato’s bodyguard THOMA comes up to u JUST AS UR ABT TO WALK DOWN THE AISLE AND HE’S LIKE “if ur really in love, you’d know that kaeya did not call those reporters.” And ur like WOAH

Doors open ur halfway through the aisle when u stop and ur like bro I cannot do this and u RUN BACK AND EVERYONES LIKE WTF

Lisa runs after u and ur like I just need a minute and Lisa is like u are NOT marrying ayato ur so clearly in love with kaeya and I refuse to have you marry a Man U don’t love

U go back in and rush up the aisle and tell ayato that you’re so clearly not in love and he’s like low-key girl I did not wanna marry u LOL im in love with thoma

Anyway u announce to everyone that you will NOT BE GETTING MARRIED and ask the counsel to please reconsider their choice of having you be married and to think about their own daughters but then KAEYA’S DAD INTERRUPTS AND HE’S LIKE “The law clearly states a woman must marry to become queen and I have just another heir!”

KAEYA COMES AND HE’S LIKE, NO, U DON’T BECAUSE HE REFUSES TO BECOME KING AND DECARLES THAT YOU DESERVE TO BE QUEEN

Okay so council decides u become queen yeah yeah onto coronation this is like way too long

THE DAY OF UR CORONATION ur on the throne nervous and then kaeya comes in and kneels on one knee and he’s not proposing but he decries his love for u and hopes u accept and boom ur together ur now queen im done bye

yaaaay tuna time tuna time. ok so the manga is I Love Amy and its about a yandere girl making friends with the lesbian mc to get closer to her male crush but finds herself really enjoying spending time with her. very good stuff highly recommend. anyway I will be scalping this whole plot for my brainrot! as I'm basing this off a wlw manga please read yan and darling as being the same gender (ex: dazai with a male darling, higuchi with a female darling) thank u.

so, following the aforementioned plot, darling actually starts out as yans TARGET instead of yans crush, accidentally getting on their radar by being seen talking to yans current obsession one too many times during routine reconnaissance (stalking). obviously they need to get rid of them! theyre getting in the way! crush shouldn't ever talk to anyone else but them!!!! 

when local freak loner weirdo yan suddenly asks if you want to hang out with them, alone, it occurs to you that you should be a little more cautious- but, truth be told, you've had a crush on them for a while... and you know its probably impossible that they swing your way, but couldn't hurt to give it a shot, right?

with this in mind (and lowkey kinda entranced by how pretty they are up close), you agree. 

lucky for you theyre perceptive enough to sniff out that ur a fruit and thus a complete non-threat, so you live another day! and, to their surprise, they find themselves kind of enjoying hanging out with you. 

yadda yadda yadda, the two of you strike a deal to help them get in good with their crush, theyve had pretty bad luck with this so far, but they seem to like YOU, so you can get them some one-on-one time! you're pretty bummed you were right about the person you like not being interested, but hey! theyre still your friend! as long as they can be happy, you’ll be happy for them! on their end, theyre just using you (or so they think). sure, you’re ok to hang out with or whatever, but your companionship doesnt mean anything compared to their crush. once they get what they want, youre pretty much donezo. 

i wont go on for too much longer about this here but im sure you get the idea, over spending time with them as friends and dedicating so much of your time to trying to help them find their happiness, yan starts turning their attention on YOU instead. they find themself getting irritated when they catch you talking to other boys/girls, what did you suddenly get a s/o or something? are you gonna stop hanging out with them? you cant DO that youre their ONLY friend! or they’ll surprise themself by desperately wanting to pass up spending time with crush to go stay with you instead. or getting REALLY REALLY mad when they see people being rude to you when they used to not care. little things like that. i feel like this concept could be really good for soft yan stuff but you COULD make it darker if you wanna.

context: X is the person ajax likes (as you can tell i am very good at coming up with names :>) some things here are taken from i love amy so give it a read !! it's totally worth it i promise~

at the time, you couldn't come up with a single reason why ajax had approached you all those days ago, accompanied only by a menacing look. in fact, you could still recall how the malice in his eyes deepened once he caught sight of you stumbling your way over in his direction.

you had heard the rumors about him (like everyone else had), and while you didn't want to judge someone because of what others had to say, you couldn't deny the fear that consumed you when he stared at you with thinly veiled distaste—right after interrogating you about your relationship with the person you had just been conversing with. it occurred to you far too late that ajax had witnessed the conversation between you and X, and now you were about to be at the receiving end of the terrors you had only heard of in passing.

your brain went into overdrive thinking of an answer. childhood friends? what if he got jealous that you spent so much time with X, time he couldn't have? but if you lied about not knowing X, he'd come after you anyway if he found out the truth, right? so you tried to come up with a lukewarm answer, something to show that you weren't trying to meddle with his…potential relationship. whether you said the two of you were partners for a project, neighbors or family friends, whatever it was, it worked in convincing him that you weren't interested.

but it worked too well, as you soon came to realize, after noticing how ajax was attached to you constantly. at your response, he had lit up and quickly pulled you closer, declaring you would help him by gathering information and helping him plan for the perfect date (and of course, there was not a single moment of consideration for your say in the matter)

even though you insisted over and over again that you'd be no help, with no experience in dating or flirting with anyone, let alone someone as popular as X, and claiming you weren't close enough with them to ask such detailed questions, ajax was far from bothered. perhaps, in his eyes, you were the perfect sidekick—obedient enough to drag around like a sulking pet, but not so compliant that you weren't of some use, at the very least for entertainment. and maybe, just maybe, because he was starting to feel a little lonely.

what he didn't know at the time was that you, despite all the warnings and whispers, had a crush on him. you reasoned with yourself that most people would fall for him, if not for his fixation with X. and although you knew he was 100% infatuated with someone else, you had foolishly thought it wouldn't be the worst idea to be his friend. you had hoped that hanging out with him and being faced with the reality that he would never look twice at you would work as a bitter yet effective remedy to the flustered racing of your heart and the fluttering sensation that seized you.

surprisingly, ajax made for decent company, disregarding the pain of unrequited affection. all your time together was mostly spent talking about X, which you never complained about, but you also learned a little about him, like the fact that he had younger siblings and that he participated in a lot of archery competitions. it occurred to you for a moment, that given his track record, ajax being so well-versed with a weapon probably wouldn't end well, but you shut down that thought almost immediately. he may talk about wanting X all for himself and may have some concerning fantasies, but even he wouldn't go to such lengths, right?

the more time you spent with him, however, the fewer opportunities you actually had to talk to X. still, despite how little use he had for you, ajax still kept you by his side. maybe it was, in his eyes, a good thing that you were staying away from X. some part of you itched to tell him that you wouldn't betray him like that...not like it mattered to him. you knew he was only using you, either as an information source or a test subject, and even if it hurt to know he'd never care about you like he did X, you never once considered distancing yourself from him

you liked to think that he liked your company too, at least as an acquaintance. after all, since that first encounter, he hadn't threatened to snap your arm if you didn't tell him everything you were talking to X about. maybe that time he dragged you away mid-conversation with your friend should have been alarming, or maybe that other time when you woke up tied to a chair in his basement ("don't worry," he had brushed off your concerned look, "i only did this because you kept saying you were too busy to come over. anyways…") should have sent you running, but you justified it to yourself as his odd way of watching out for you.

or more likely, the warning signs just flew over your head because you couldn't imagine that he would be as creepy as the rumors said. you did idolize him to an extent that you tried to justify all his strange habits. it didn't matter much, anyway, since you were well aware this arrangement was temporary—you were only serving as replacement company until he finally got with X, and then your presence in his life would instantly be shut out.

because you were under the impression that it was all temporary, you didn't mind, even when he started overstepping into your personal matters. more than once you had to cancel meet-ups with friends in favor of spending time with him, and the few times you did manage to be away from him, ajax would interrogate you about every detail of your day without him, and at the very end would demand you tell him if you enjoyed being away from him, scowling until you placated him.

and then, the 'practice dates' started feeling a little too real. with him insisting on feeding you spoonfuls of dessert and latching onto your hand uncomfortably tight. but honestly, you couldn't complain, even if you knew something was wrong. going out with X didn't seem as much of a priority as it was a way to convince you that he desperately needed your help in 'practicing'.

all this while, you were under the impression your role was simply to be a good friend to ajax. naturally, when you had an opportunity to talk to X again after such a long time, you jumped to take it. what you didn't expect was for ajax to come up behind you, gently moving you aside to instead tower over X, glaring at the person he'd been pining over so desperately. the words that left him next were similar to the ones you heard all those months ago, except, these were the last words you expected him to say.

"you," he spat out, "what the hell were you talking to [name] about?"

bonus because i have too many thoughts about this :>

you getting an s/o. ajax is upset for many reasons. a) you never told him that you liked someone b) were you really going on weekly dates with your new partner?? you never even hung out with him that consistently! what, were you throwing away your friend just for this new guy? and c) how could you leave him behind like this?! suddenly, your new s/o is bombarded with the sensation that someone was constantly glaring at them, and then at every corner, ajax is standing there...just...watching. maybe he was just shy?

you manage to convince X to give him one chance. one date, so he can try to win them over. what you don't expect is for ajax to try stalling. he comes up with reasons for more practice dates, asks you for more 'tips', and if he absolutely has to go, he doesn't do anything that he was supposed to. the date is a fail, despite all the practicing he did. to you, he claims it was the nerves that got to him. come on, comrade! you gotta help him practice more now!

soooo . pity C': . the pity system in genshin is implemented to basically ensure that after a certain number of wishes on the standard ﾉ limited character banners , you're sure to obtain a 4 ⭐️ or 5 ⭐️ weapon or character .

after 10 wishes , you're certain to obtain a 4 ⭐️ weapon ﾉ character ; after 90 wishes , you're certain to obtain a 5 ⭐️ weapon ﾉ chara !

sometimes u'll see people talk about ' hard pity ' or ' soft pity ' — hard pity js means what i said above : that you get a 5 ⭐️ after using up 90 wishes . soft pity falls a bit earlier than hard pity ,, i fiiiink it comes around 75 wishes ??

but this doesn't mean you can't roll a 5 ⭐️ character ﾉ weapon far earlier than 90 or 75 wishes — bcos u most deffies can ! ! it rllie all comes down to luck in the end :< hv u tried wishing on any of the banners bugsy ?? if u want to get al haitham then try to save ur wishes bcos apparently he's gonna re - run soon ♡!

Anyway onto the fic recs! (I'll mention the potential quest spoilers since I don't know how far into the game you are)

The Melody of a Gentle Breeze A recent fic I read and one I made art for! Nameless Bard/Venti's friend gets yeeted to the present learns about how the world has changed. I love how he's characterized here and how his relationship with venti is portrayed <3 (admittedly venti isn't the main focus here but you can feel his presence and influence on the fic and I adore that!!!)

Singing to the Mountains, Only My Echoes Sing Back This one is based on the Wings of Shimmering Galaxy (anniversary glider) description! It's about Venti's story and the fic ties it to song and I love it a ton!!!

Pure Sky This one is a lighter one that uses wine as a character study and honestly I love that! Venti and his love for Mond and their love for one another in return my beloved!!!!

Three Evenings Before the End THIS ONE THIS ONE IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE FICS!! It talks about Venti's friend's throughout Mondstadt's history and the whole thing with repeating parallels and how he notices the similarities and differences between his friends throughout the ages,,, o u g h A lot of the stuff in the fic is regarding bits of old mondstadt and aristocratic mond lore that you can find in book, weapon and artifact descriptions in game so it's not quite spoilers. But you might get a little confused regarding the characters if you don't know the jist of mond's history sfdgdfs (the author has the second chapter dedicated to worldbuilding and lore speculations tho which is hella neat!!!!)

Event Horizon I THINK ABOUT THIS EVERY SINGLE DAY Not really spoilers but it does talk about the Cataclysm and destruction of Khaenri'ah + speculations(?) though a convo between Venti and Dain (The guy that narrates the character miscellanies and who first appears in game in Bough Keeper: Dainsleif and later on in subsequent archon quests)

The Archons (soldier, poet, king ANOTHER FAVE OF MINE! This one's a series about Venti and his interactions with the other archons!! I love how it shows the more serious side of him that others may not see along with his usual silly whimsy <3 Of course, since each fic talks about the archons we meet in each nation, spoilers for all the archon quests so far!

The Springtimes You Never Saw Okay this one's longer than the ones I've recommended so far (my ADHD fucks with my attention span so I tend to stick to one-shots for the most part) but it's so good!!!! I know I say that about all the fics here lmao but I do genuinely adore this fic. It's a canon divergent AU where Dvalin never gets poisoned during the fight with Durin 500 years ago and it's such a good character study of my boyyyyy Also while the fic is tagged xiaoven it's queerplatonic and the pairing doesn't take center stage (not that into shipping in general lol so I tend to prefer fics without ships or with them not as the main focus)

I feel like playfighting is, a fairly popular pastime for us together? And by playfighting I mean “we’re leaving this interaction with water in our lungs and scorched skin that hurts to to the touch.”

I’m still slightly unsure which direction I want to take the Genshin self-insert in but having a comfort + universal s/i that is quite literally “just me does” somewhat allow me more freedom and creative liberty with with the former so I’m making little changes here and there pretty actively.

I know in yesterday’s post I was like Genshin Lapis “has killed millions & will do so again” but I think I’m more inclined to take her into a different direction of “has killed millions & now just wants to settle down peacefully” — meaning that I think GI Lapis would be on the same power level as his foul legacy form, but definitely goes easier on him on purpose during sparring. It’s not because he thinks of Ajax as weak (she’s lovestruck & probably regularly tells him he’s the strongest warrior she’s ever seen in the many years that she has roamed the planet) but rather because all things considered, GI lapis is still… you know, the pyro dragon sovereign? And despite harnessing the power of the abyss and utilising foul legacy, Ajax is still only human.

I should mention that I’m not a huge fan of mortal/immortal dynamics personally but I hardly doubt that Tartaglia subscribes to “mortality” as we know it; if he did, the use of his delusion and foul legacy would have destroyed and terminated him by now, so I view him as human but not… mortal per se? That said, Ajax would be insistent on going all out, both of them, but she scolds him because she knows how using his foul legacy affects his health and it worries her. They still spar a lot! Lapis isn’t into fighting that much anymore but she is absolutely invested in improving Ajax’s skills. Just because she is against using her own full power and adamantly against him using foul legacy in their sparring sessions (unless it’s a special occasion) does not mean she won’t literally make it rain fire on him. They are both utterly infatuated though so no matter who wins in the end, it still ends with the two giggling & telling each other throw well they did while cuddling into each other (despite being uh, soaking wet with water and sweat combined). Technically both are victors every round; one wins through combat skill, the other wins by getting pinned to the floor. Godspeed

You know that one dialogue Ajax has about even taking on the Harbingers? Yeah, she supports that idea 100%; she LOATHES the fatui and the tsaritsa (+ her harbingers) (lapis finds them pretentious) and her personal pride doesn’t find the idea of being on the absolute top of the food chain not too bad either, so, he needs to be used to breaking a few bones here and there. Plus, Lapis doesn’t engage in her previous aggressions anymore so, it’s good to get some exercise in, she supposes. It’s a win-win.

As for specifics on her powers! I’m going to be talking from a gameplay perspective here. First of all? I’m pulling the same stunt MiHoYo pulled with the Tartaglia boss fight; the atmosphere during it, the intense music, the panic when you first fight him as one of the first ever bosses (though he becomes literally the easiest one after, whoops), his foul legacy attacks, the way he dashes so fast, the magnificent creature he summons from hydro — it’s intense, it’s gorgeous. And then uh, there’s the playable Tartaglia — who is, you know, not bad! I love him even though I always have terrible luck on his banners despite the fact that I started playing in 2021. But he is still just a tad… underwhelming compared to the grandness of the version of him that we fought.

Anyway, you’re getting the same thing with GI Lapis. He isn’t fast like Ajax but she is, um, like twice the size of foul legacy in her dragon form if not even bigger so that isn’t necessary anyhow. I actually want her to be fairly tall and domineering in her dragon/boss battle form, just like… slightly smaller than Azhdaha? She doesn’t change elements or such however; she remains bound to pyro. I do however want her boss battle to be in a really shallow water body so that the player is almost constantly experiencing reverse vapourise unless they pull some fuckass geo structure bullshit. I want the boss battle music to be quite similar to the Bloodborne soundtrack OSTs but with some Doom themes. Something cathartic and visceral, you know? And then there’s… her as a playable character.

Best support character/sub-DPS for Childe you can imagine. First of all? Pyro and Hydro = vapourise, which is arguably one of the best — if not the best — reactions in the game. Secondly… I want to somehow add energy recharge to her kit (preferably through one of the active skills) so that it enhances Tartaglia’s riptide the way Raiden does. I may make her either a catalyst or a sword (or claymore!) user depending on how I feel, that part is still undecided. As for her passive skill, I think it’d be so much funnier if MiHoYo made it specific like “Increases full team’s ATK by 10% if Tartaglia is in the team, with an additional 10% ATK bonus if vapourise is performed using both character’s skills” Imagine literally requiring another character to fully be able to utilise one character’s kit? Can you imagine the profit they’d make? I could be the perfect cashcow. Non-game play powers also include knife throwing, skill with blades in general and oh! She naturally runs cold and craves warmth so she is constantly using a little bit of her pyro powers to keep herself pleasantly warm.

I also think all of this would tie in nicely with the fact that GI Lapis is no longer the fearmongering dragon warlord that she once was? He, like the other dragons we’ve seen so far, is… more or less just enjoying retirement and works in the legal field almost entirely for fun (and mora); so her being on the battlefield or fighting will literally always 100% be because Ajax is involved somehow and she would do Anything to protect this man, no matter how stupid the thing may be. Plus she likes having a “justified” excuse to be a menace from time to time anyway. To summarise the lore I have for her: war lord dragon sovereign who used to consider international peace a mere suggestion suddenly decides on giving up violence and settling down with some random anime-european man. So. You know.

Her stand is called Techno Glitch and it's like normal stand, but it has to be programed by hand from a floating computer cause it sounded cool in my head so I said "yeah that." Weird power is that she sorta sleepwalks into the other 2 living Goldsboro's heads, like Usagi'll be dreaming and the 2 knew each other for a long time cause they have the same mom and stuff and Georgia will go "Ayo, what u dreaming about?" And Usagi will jump like 6 feet in the air.

Crackhead energy 4: Tsuzumi Mansion Arc, mixed with small but noticeable amounts of Undertaker from Black Butler and Hu Tao from Genshin. She just woke up next to Gappy, no memory of the last 2 months, and went "Ima just follow around this dude and help him remember his shit first." Her stand is called Ragged Glory and it's a guitar, but it doesn't just play music if you pull the strings, nonono, it also generates a random effect from a defined list because I only have so many sides on a die, and it's great. Her weird power is that she is well aware of the TimeLine reset in the end of part 6 (The one that left me crying cause all my Husbandos are gone now) and the memories and experiences of our past characters live in her and just surface at random.

I might make one for JoJo lands, depends on how I feel about it, dunno

Genshin Highschool AU -Poetry club- It would have Xingqiu, Venti, Kazuha and Hu Tao as members. I see Xingqiu as someone who is included in a lot of clubs so i see him being in the student council or like maybe a martial arts club. Yanfei and Xinyan sometimes come by to hang out since they're in other clubs. (Yanfei would be in the council and Xinyan would be in the music club ofc with Yunjin and Barbara) I can see Venti repeating a year, so they'd be the same grade me thinks- -random slight angst- . . . . . . [Venti repeated cuz at that time, his friend was sick and was sent to the hospital. He missed a whole year cuz he went and had part time jobs to help his friend with the treatment and bills.] anyways- I also thought of some projects they might do for the school festival. One of the simple ones would be that they'd have people come to their club and they could make their own poetry. Another would be them writing out sets of poetry, Like, each one of them would have 3 or 5 poems in a set. And then they'll compile it into a book so you can read different kinds of themes and styles. or they can have certain themes. And the paper and printing being funded by Xingqiu's parents cuz he's rich- Albedo is commissioned to make the cover.

Oh- and then maybe a treasure hunt they're doing, where people come to the club to get a piece of paper that has poetry as a hint. But like, all those hints in the box lead to different kinds of prizes. And it's either an actual clue, a poem leading you to a trash can, maybe a clue that leads you to a jump scare in the bathroom, or just a random ass written poem that seems like it contains clues. So it's like, not just challenging how smart you are, it also questions your luck. The twins Aether and Lumine would get a lot of the good prizes, and Rip Bennette's luck...

And the last event I thought they'd do, would be a rap battle, co-hosted by the music club. They would battle each other, and some of the audience can also volunteer and join them. Itto and Yanfei would be joining. Everyone knows why Itto would be here so I'm explaining why Yanfei is here. So in her story in "Codex Finalem" she had randomly thought of what her backup should be if she ever loses her job. Then one day, she encountered one of Xinyan's concerts and was taken by it. She thought learning an instrument was too much for her, so she consulted a lot of resources. And then she settled with just being a rapper if that day ever happens.

She can recite tens of thousands worth of Liyue law in an hour apparently, the speed is no challenge to her. She's also said to be good debater so now we have high school Au Yanfei who spits bars for a hobby.

Anyways, enough of the Yanfei rant- I say they'd go to a haunted house from another class as a group. Chongyun being really excited, Xingqiu being smug and didn't tell anyone that this is actually his class' event and he added extra stuff to prank Chongyun (it doesn't work he just thinks he's actually going to meet a ghost cuz Xingqiu told him they actually captured a ghost to haunt their classroom.), Hu Tao sometimes scaring the ghosts instead, Venti screaming as a fake spider web sticks to his face and Xinyan screaming along with him cuz "WHY TF ARE U SCREAMING-" And then Kazuha being calm cuz his senses can detect what's behind things and whatnot. that's all i can offer to high school AU rn gn pls like and reblog! i'd rlly appreciate it! -Feel free to check more of my stuff here!-

shirli can’t fly

i am... almost reluctantly getting invested??? the characters are cute, what can i say. and i think there’s some mystery regarding shirli, the cute little sister ditzy mechanic character who is the ~mysterious wanderer’s~ companion for the first 10% of ch 1 of this game (aka: how far i’ve played. i even got an achievement for it!)

flying is... i dont know, much less fun than in genshin? im trying not to constantly compare the two but there was MUCH more maneuverability with flying in genshin. even tho tof lets you maneuver in air, the jetpack mostly just lets you go... up

boom boom explore time

the first 10% mostly is just a continuation of exploration/tutorial. you get a jetpack! u get drone-taxied around. there’s a big tower. i spent a good thirty minutes just exploring, because i could and its fun. between worlds, i’m less reminded of genshin and more of botw. something about the placement of things, idk. there’s a brief mention to cooking. your hand is guided towards pulls. i tossed around little bomb creatures, 10/10

pulls

as far as i can understand, pulling is integrated into the lore/story of the game because there is some kind of orbital mission control that beams down info upon request/sale. you “buy” weapons, which come with a bonus download package of a WOMD (Waifu of Mass Destruction) who was super awesome at using that weapon, and that weapon + info gets downloaded into mc’s brain so he can use the weapon to it’s full potential. narratively, i assume this means the mc suffers from big personality disorder/suffers disorienting periods where they imagine themselves as deadly WOMDs.

war time

the part that made me reluctantly impressed was a brief invasion by npcs. something about the machine guns, hoverboard, and ship-explosion does it. I HAVE, however, seen it executed better elsewhere - this game suffers the unfortunate pauses in combat that make it clear they are waiting for you to get from point a to point b; also, you take very little damage. the stakes are pretty low, but it was still cool

so what’s up with shirli?

i belatedly realized our peppy mechanic pall was the sad-looking cyborg from the loading menus. what happened? is she the girl who’s butt i have to stare at during the server selection screen?

second impressions:

reluctantly getting impressed. the pulls are pretty nice but about the same as genshin, except the character + weapon come combined so thats real nice. i also like you can switch weapons and characters. i have yet to figure out if there’s some kind of penalty for it, or if after getting them its just up to preference. i dont really care; combat bores me no matter how interesting it is in this game according to the 100000 other reviews. i have yet to upgrade a single weapon.

i did, however, after two boring ten pulls, encounter my usual start of the game gatcha luck and snagged two sr (only one which was a dupe) and an ssr in a single ten pull. the ssr’s voice annoys me, alas. also, none of them are the guy characters i actually wanted.
