A little crazy
Tumblr media
pairing: overprotective bf shanbin x s/o reader
genre: university au on unhingedness (same verse as perils, and no, it's not lasik), fluff
tw/tags: established relationship, some stereotypical characters, hanbin has a few quirks, character study lowkey, unwanted flirting, unintentional flirting, pet names, intimidation, he's sweet but a psycho, drinking, getting a lil tipsy, lowkey stalker vibes but not really, for plot purposes we will find it cute, threatening, idk how to tag this pls tell me if i missed something
wc: 2078
summary: your boyfriend is legitimately the sweetest person ever…except when someone tries to make moves on you. Then he gets…well…
a/n my advanced birthday fic for hanbin! Bc idk why I thought it was today I must have hallucinated but also idk if I have time to post on the actual day bc of real life commitments lmao whoops I struggle and try my best. Shout out to Kara aka @boysplanetmorelike for sparking this lil idea~
Check my pinned for more fics~
It’s not like he was perfect, even if people liked to think he was. Well, yes he is very boyfriend. That’s why he’s your boyfriend.
You, of all people, can attest to the fact he isn’t perfect. You’ve seen his hair in the morning. He’s definitely not at his prettiest. Sometimes he becomes a little control freak. You know that. You’re the one who they call to get him before he makes one of the poor freshmen cry unintentionally and then ends up feeling guilty about it and apologising profusely for the rest of the day, your poor soft-hearted man. And some might argue that yes he has his little ticks but they’re only minor character flaws if they can be considered flaws at all.
If only they knew.
Those who have had the pleasure of getting to know Sung Hanbin on a more, well, personal level are probably the only ones who will ever know. Poor souls, really.
And perhaps it isn’t as effective to explain as it is to show what exactly one of his more problematic personality issues is. Let’s take one unsuspecting, innocent afternoon.
Perspective. You’ve just finished class. It’s a pleasant day. You decide to meet at one of the benches under the trees outside your building. His class finishes a bit after yours so you wait, scrolling through your phone, peaceful, unbothered.
Enter unfortunate victim. For the purpose of this exercise, he shall remain unnamed. We’ll call him Victim #444. Or well, that guy.
He’s your typical fuckboy. Good looking in a sort of lukewarm way, hugely overconfident, probably thinks he has a bigger dick than he actually does, a horrible flirt, we’ve all met that type.
You share a class together. That’s how he makes conversation. Otherwise, he might not dare to approach at that time. Your talk goes something like this.
“Hey, you’re in Choi-seongsaengnim’s class too right?”
“Yeah?” You look up from your phone and he’s just there. He takes a seat on the same bench without asking. Well, it’s public property but he’s a little closer than you would like.
“He’s such a hardass, don’t you think? Like sure, he knows the lesson but he doesn’t need to act like this is the only class we’re taking.”
“Well, I mean-”
“-Like seongsaengnim, come on, I have a life outside of trying to figure out what the fuck your lessons mean.” You can add self-absorbed and stupid to this one’s list of notable traits.
“I think-” And definitely not letting you get a word in.
“Speaking of, have you got a partner for the latest project? Because, you know, I’ve been asked but I’m happy to make an exception if you want to pair up.”
“Actually, I already have-”
“Let me give you my number so we can contact each other? Maybe meet up, you know? I’ve got a nice little place to myself on the other side of campus.”
Ugh, as if. He’s leaning in so close that you can smell his cheap cologne. Before you can get up from the bench, arms wrap around you from the back and a very familiar voice coos in your ear.
“Ahh nae sarang, sorry I’m late.”
You turn your head, leaning into him.
“Hi Binnie-yah.”
He beams at you before directing his stare at the other guy. And so it begins.
“Oh, who’s this?”
You’re pretty sure Hanbin knew who this was. He knew who everyone was and at least one notable thing about them because he was quirky like that. Well, he wasn’t known as the university’s social butterfly for nothing. And you don’t want to spoil his fun so you let the guy introduce himself.
“Ah, you’re taking that major, yeah? So Junho-yah is your senior, how is he these days?”
“Oh, ah yes, Junho-sunbaenim’s been doing well, I don’t really see him around much actually.”
And bingo. The guy starts squirming. Faster than it usually takes. Your boyfriend’s made himself comfortable even though he’s half-hunched over and resting his chin on your shoulder, looking at the other guy with an unwavering stare. Sort of the way a spider would probably look at a fly before, well, you know.
“Really, well last I heard from him, he was complaining about how disrespectful his underclassmen are…but you’re not like that, aren’t you?”
“Ah, no, of course not sunbaenim.”
You can feel Hanbin’s smile get wider, his eyes crinkling in a way that you find adorable but you suspect might not be as cute for your unfortunate companion.
“That’s good, keep up the good work. I can’t imagine how I’d feel if any of my underclassmen were being disrespectful. Ah well, actually I can….”
He pauses and you swear that the guy stops breathing.
“...and I can definitely say that they’ll be very sorry that they even tried that with me.” Hanbin continues cheerily.
Suddenly he walks over and starts patting him on the shoulder. The guy flinches back.
“So next time, remember to be on your best behaviour and keep being polite, hmm? Don’t be so obvious? Maybe try not to be so shameless, yeah?”
“Ah, yes, of course, sunbaenim. Actually I- I just remembered I- I have to go- ah- sorry to disturb um- excuse me-”
You watch as he does a roughly 90 degree bow to both of you before walking off quickly.
“Less than 5 minutes, Binnie, that’s a new record.”
And your cute boyfriend is back, pouting and grabbing at your hands and squeezing them softly. If you were anyone else, you would have gotten whiplash.
“It’s not my fault if I want you all to myself, hmmm?”
Did you mention that your boyfriend was a little off in the head? Not in the should-be-confined-to-the-mental-hospital way but that slight sort of insanity that possesses him when someone tries to go for his little brother (rip Gunwook) or his little sister or his close friends or well, you.
And everyone else? Everyone else was not safe. If murder was legal, literally everyone else would probably be fearing for their lives. Which is probably a good thing that murder isn’t legal. Those incredibly lucky bastards.
Take one of the freshmen trying to chat you up during a party. They’ve been incredibly nice all evening, pouring you drinks and asking you all sorts of thoughtful questions about the major. So yes, you’re very happy to answer and give them little tips on how to ace a certain project.
“And it’s honestly fine if you mess up a little on your first test for Hwang-seongsaengnim’s class, he’s very nice when it comes to students forgetting a few names so don’t stress too much about it and make sure to ace the extra credit he gives.”
“Oh, thank you so much sunbaenim. That’s so helpful, I’ll definitely try my best.”
You can’t help but smile. So cute. Maybe it was the alcohol but you remember how it was like being a wide-eyed, overeager freshman listening attentively to your own seniors.
“It’s really no problem. Ask me anything, anytime. Seriously, don’t be afraid if you need advice.”
You reach over to pat them, swaying just a little from the amount of soju running through your body. They’re awfully red as well. You wonder why.
“How are you getting home, sunbaenim? Do you live nearby? I can walk with you if you’re comfortable with that, I don’t think it’s too safe to be out at this time.”
“Oh it’s no worries, I’ll be taking them home.”
“Ah Hanbinnie, meet my new dongsaeng” you’re not too sure when he got here or even why he’s here but Hanbin’s incredibly warm and his hands around your waist feel so nice.
“This is my boyfriend.” You introduce him to the freshman. He dips his head in greeting as the other nearly tips over trying to bow. You make a concerned noise, making to catch the other but Hanbin firmly keeps you from moving, letting the freshman catch themselves instead.
“So nice to meet you, we’ll get going if that’s alright. It’s really not safe to be out this late, especially with someone you barely know.” You hardly register your boyfriend’s words but you’re not that drunk that you don’t know the smile he’s giving is about 95% fake and razor-sharp.
“Ah yes, get home safely, sunbaenim. I’ll find my way back so don’t worry.”
“Oh we won’t” You think you hear Hanbin say. Maybe. Could be your imagination. Because the next moment he’s nuzzling at your neck like a very spoiled cat, arms firmly holding you up as he guides you out of the bar and into the car.
“Nae sarang, you really need to take better care of yourself or I won’t want to let you out of my sight.” He says to you softly as he practically carries you into the passenger seat. It’s sweet, well the implication behind it is kinda creepy but you know he doesn’t mean it that way. (Does he?)
“You drove here?”
“Of course, I can’t let you go home all by yourself, can I?”
Like you said, there’s just a tiny screw loose in that head of his, considering the bar where you’re drinking is over an hour away from campus. You chalk it up to it being Hanbin. He can get a little paranoid on occasion.
And sometimes, he goes a bit psycho. A little. Not a lot. Still, according to Gunwook, it’s terrifying. You really wouldn’t know but you’ve seen it.
You’ve come to wait for his dance club to finish when someone collides into you. It’s not too hard but it still knocks you off your feet and onto the ground with a thud.
“Yah, watch where you’re going, huh? I have a performance next week and I could have injured myself.”
It’s definitely one of the newer members because you don’t recognise them. Before you can say anything, Seo Won, one of the veterans, is already helping you up and asking if you’re okay. The one that knocked you over huffs and is about to say something else when Hanbin calls their name sharply.
Your boyfriend’s eyes narrow and maybe you’re a little lightheaded from the fall but also from the way his shirt clings to his body and his hair weighed down by sweat. It’s kinda hot but you’re not admitting that out loud. Not now, at least. He calls the other member’s name again and gestures him over.
He speaks too quietly for you to hear anything. All you know is that the other’s face pales drastically and he bows several times, walking over and apologising to you before practically hightailing out of the room.
Hanbin’s all over you in a matter of seconds, practically lifting you off the ground. It’s not good for your heart. Seo Won quickly backs off.
“My poor sarang, are you okay? Do you need anything? Ice? Are you bruised anywhere? Let me check.”
You don’t ever see the person who knocked you over again. Ever. You’d wonder about it but you’ve learned that it was better not to question sometimes. Especially when Hanbin insists on carrying you around for the rest of the day and practically waits on you hand and foot until the bruises fade. And it’s just a bruise. You do admit to him later that maybe you find it attractive when he’s a shade pissed and sweaty. Maybe you both get a little sweaty after that. And later, when you’re rightfully tired and sprawled out on top of him, you think about it.
Really, you wonder what goes through his mind sometimes.
[cut scene]
Hanbin smiles, all teeth and no sympathy. It’s like the serial killer before the murder.
“You speak to anyone like that ever again and I can do injuring for you, understood? No, don’t talk, just nod if you’ve managed to get it into that head of yours, hmm?”
A nod. Hanbin likes it when they’re like this. Quiet and white-faced and sweating nervously.
“Now go apologise to them. Sincerely. Like you mean it. And then, get lost. I don’t want to see your face for awhile, yes?”
Another nod. They take one step back and make to turn around.
“Oh wait.”
They freeze.
“Remember. Sincerely, okay? And don’t think I won’t know if it isn’t.”
A final nod.
“Very good. Now go.”
They go. Hanbin sighs. God, you’re going to drive him insane one day. (He already is)

Mon-El calling b!d a babe and Kara is very overprotective about it and snaps?
Tumblr media
ᕚ---ᕘ
In the middle of the DEO's training room, surrounded by various training equipment and punching bags, Kara and you decided to end a tough field mission with intense determination and a training session on the punching bag. Tying the boxing gloves tightly around your wrists, you resolutely stepped in front of the heavy punching bag. "Are you ready?" you asked, determined to improve your technique. The blonde nodded with a confident smile, taking hold of the position on the opposite side of the punching bag, ready to offer support to you.
You began with light warm-up exercises, pounding your fists rhythmically against it. Kara supported you by holding the bag stable with her superpowers so that you could deliver your punches with full force. The regular, muffled beats echoed through the room, accompanied by your concentrated breathing. After the short warm-up, you gradually increased your intensity. Your punches became more powerful and faster as you performed different powerful combinations on the target, followed by a quick hook and a body hit in a controlled and steady rhythm.
The Kryptonian deftly adapted to your movements and held the bag tightly to give you an effective workout. The punching bag swung back and forth with each punch, but you remained in control. You concentrated fully on your technique and no longer paid any attention to the blonde, whose head appeared from time to time behind the training object and she supported you with a concentrated look. Each of your punches was precise and calculated and Kara was extremely surprised by your motivation. You showed your ability in full bloom and with different techniques. Punches were accompanied by a soft squeak as the fists hit the plastic.
"You are doing good, keep it up!" your sister cheered you on and you increased your intensity to a new level. Muscles throughout your body tensed with each of your punches, your breath quickening. You pushed yourself to peak performance as the dim lightning on your room bathed your sweat-covered skin in a soft glow and your stimulated breathing took over the entire atmosphere. Sweat flowed down your face in small rivulets, mixing with the exertion as you continued to train with increasing intensity.
The punching bag became your outlet to release stress and any inner tension. An emotional weight seemed to be lifted from your shoulders, and the remaining energy was released with each powerful blow. Kara felt the intensity and determination in every tension. It was not just physical strength you showed, but also mental endurance and self-control. Even the punching bag swayed slightly, as if it was in awe of your impressive strength and endurance.
"Hey babe, what´s up?" boomed a male voice with a mocking smile on his face as your exertion reached its peak and Kara abruptly let go of the punching bag. It swung to the side and ruined your punch streak as your arm flung straight into the air. You had not even noticed that Mon-El entered the training room and approached the two of you or what he even said to you. "Kara! You can not just let go!"
"What did you just say to my little sister?" she asked, as if the blonde had not understood what he had said the first time. Kara grasped the whole situation quicker and immediately felt driven by the need to defend you, just wanting to make sure her ears were not playing tricks on her. Right from the start she found the Daxamite to be a rude and inconsiderate alien, but she was not prepared for that. "Babe...is not that something you say to a woman you find attractive?"
Kara laughed scornfully and placed her hands mockingly on her muscular upper arms. Any come-ons towards you infuriated her, but she tried to stay calm as she felt a lump forming in her throat. Nauseau creeping up and settling inside of her. "Kara, stay calm. It was probably just an accident," you said soothingly, putting an arm on her shoulder to get her attention back. She was known for her overprotective nature and her willingness to defend you in any situation.
With a determined look, she took a step towards Mon-El and placed her arms tightly on her waist as she snorted. "It is completely unacceptable to address anyone this way. We are not on Daxam and your comments towards y/n are disrespectful. At least be respectful here if you want to stay on our earth," her voice remained calm but firm and it was clear that the young man was intimidated by Kara's determination and self-confidence. Her overprotective nature clearly exceeded any parameters. "On this earth, people are valued and no one is degraded. Especially not by you, we are not on your planet. And I will make sure that this will be a lesson to you."
With an incredible speed that your eyes could barely grasp, Mon-El lay beneath the blonde, his hand twisted while her knee was attached to the Daxamite's torso. He cried out painfully, muttering several half-hearted apologies into the air that were barely audible, but Kara had no sympathy for him. Shocked at the sudden turnaround in the conversation, you placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder to let her know it was completely okay. "Stop it, Kar. He had enough."
Kara's gaze softened and moved away from the young alien. She quickly stood upright, but fixed him with an intense gaze. She made it clear to him without words that such disrespectful comments towards you would no longer be tolerated. Sensing her point of view, Mon-El backed away, unsure of his words. After a moment of silent silence, he finally turned and walked away, clearly intimidated.
You looked at your older sister in shock but also gratitude, your eyes filling with emotions as you punched her in the upper arm. "My superheroine. What would I do without you?" You laughed sarcastically, earning a big smile from her before she pushed you back to the punching bag to get you back to work.
In that moment, filled with silence, exhaustion, and pride, you radiated an unstoppable strength that existed not only in the training hall, but also in life thanks to your sisters.

.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
You sneezed for what was probably the 30th time since you’d gotten to work and groaned softly, wiping your nose on your sleeve as you cursed yourself for not having the foresight to bring tissues. You’d felt moderately fine when you left the house this morning, just a little sniffle but it had gotten so much worse in the few hours since you’d gotten to the DEO.
That stupid sniffle had turned into a constant runny but somehow stuffy nose and a steady cough that was getting impossible to silence when your lungs decided to rebel every few minutes. You were exhausted, a low-grade fever had started to boil under your skin about an hour ago and you were starting to believe that it wasn’t so low anymore.
You rubbed your nose again and returned to typing on your computer, keeping track of the vitals of the agents currently in the field, helping Supergirl to take down half a dozen particularly strong Hellgrammites.
“Left flank of number two is open,” Vasquez said, not looking up from her control station. She was analyzing the aliens’ fight patterns and offering advice to Agent Danvers as well as Hartmann and Price, all shifting about the battlefield (empty intersection) to give Supergirl an edge in the fight.
Price had gotten stung and was on the ground, trying to keep himself conscious as the pain took over his body. Alex was shouting to Kara, who really didn’t need her to shout what with the super hearing, telling her the best way for her to take out the remaining three Hellgrammites. You probably should’ve been listening to your comms, but you had muted them, the voice in your ear adding to your headache.
You focused your hazy eyes back on the screen, your gaze drawn to Alex’s pulse blinking at the top of the list of agents. Even though you were supposed to be focusing on everyone equally, you tended to find yourself looking more intently on tracking your girlfriend. It wasn’t that you weren’t looking at the others, it was just that you selfishly cared a bit more about the brunette agent.
“Y/l/n, how’s Price holding up?” Vasquez asked, glancing over at you at the exact moment you decided to wipe your nose again. You froze, the fabric of your sleeve pressed against your face, eyes wide with a deer-in-headlights expression.
“H-he’s okay. Pulse is a little fast, but he’ll be fine.” You mumbled, voice weak and congested. At this point, all you really wanted to do was to go home and sleep, but that wasn’t something you could do with your girlfriend and Kara in the field. Plus, you had to disprove the looks that your coworkers were giving you. If they were here, then you were here. You did not take sick days.
“How about you? Checked your temperature in the last hour?” She was focused intently on her work, but taking the time to communicate with you. You hesitated, painting a confused look onto your face.
“What are you talking about? I’m fine. Plus, I feel like we have more important things to be worrying about right now.” You quipped, a note of sarcasm slipping into your tone. The sarcasm became an instant regret. You may have been dating one of the most senior agents, but the woman was still your boss and could still write you up for disciplinary reasons. Lucky for you Vasquez just found your contempt amusing.
“Whatever you say.” She smirked, a hint of concern in her voice. She would never admit it of course, but the dark-haired DEO agent cared for you. She knew how much Alex loved you and it wasn’t just her. You were well-liked by the entire department, even J’onn had come to care for you the Danvers sisters.
You went back to your screen, deciding that you didn’t need to pay all that much attention to it anymore. The Hellgrammites had been subdued (thanks to Kara for that quick finish) and everyone was fine. It was only a matter of time before they got back to the DEO and with the skirmish over you could probably sneak off to a conference room to take a nap.
You must’ve zoned out for longer than you meant to because the next thing you knew your name was being shouted by a certain angry, fresh-from-battle DEO agent.
You spun in your chair (a very bad idea) and groaned, clutching your head as dizziness and pain threatened to knock you to the floor. Your nose was running again, but you were too preoccupied with your aching skull and that strange tingly feeling in your body to deal with wiping it. All you could really deal with right now was not passing out.
A hand on your knee brought you back to the present world and you blinked up to meet Alex’s worried brown orbs. She pressed a hand to your forehead and said something that you couldn’t quite make out through the ringing in your ears. You shook your head slightly and whimpered, followed by a pathetic sniffle.
“Y/n? Hey, come on.” She ordered, slinging an arm around your waist. You dropped your head on her shoulder, and she helped you wobble forward, utterly unsure as to where the two of you were going. For a moment it seemed that she was leading you towards the exit but then you took an unexpected right turn.
“Where’re you taking me?” You mumbled, regretting that you didn’t just stay home. This had all happened so damn fast, from a sniffle to a full-blown case of the flu in a matter of hours.
“Medical.” She said curtly, her gentle touches not matching up with her tone of voice. She sounded angry but she was holding you so carefully, touching you as if you were made of fragile porcelain. You aimed an exhausted fit of coughing into your shoulder and attempted to pull away, very unhappy with the idea of a visit to Medical.
“Do not fight me on this, it is not up to you.”
“Just lemme go home, ‘lex. M’fine.” You slurred, sounding very much not fine. You of course weren’t fine, but she really didn’t need to know the extent of just how not fine you were. At least one of you had to be at work, it wasn’t like to agents could go home in the same day and you knew that if you went home Alex would follow.
“What part of ‘do not fight me’ isn’t understood?” Your girlfriend growled, her face tense as well as her body. She was pulling you along, practically dragging you as your legs were determined not to work. All you wanted to do was go home and lay on the cool tile of the kitchen floor. The kitchen had never betrayed you the way your body currently was.
Nevertheless, you found yourself sitting on a surprisingly comfortable bed in the Med-Bay, refusing to lay down despite Alex’s pleas with you to do as she asked. She sat on the bed beside you, allowing you to lean against her as the two of you waited for Hamilton who was currently sewing up Price’s wound.
“m’sorry.” You whispered, another round of rib-cracking coughs taking over your stupid useless body. It was being rather unhelpful at the moment; it wouldn’t even consider letting you pretend to be okay until it was time to go home.
“Don’t apologize Y/n/n,” The brunette sighed, shifting beside you so that you were more comfortably situated in her lap. You grabbed a handful of her shirt and whimpered softly, tears filling your eyes as she very gently carded her fingers through your hair.
“Oh, sweetheart.” She kissed your hairline, an air of worried sadness hanging around her. The agent held you close, silently wishing that Hamilton would hurry the fuck up. Price hadn’t been injured that badly and in her mind you were definitely more important than the man she didn’t exactly like.
Just as the good doctor finished putting his stitches in Kara raced into the room, her cape flying around her in a very superhero-esque manner. Her blonde hair was sort of messy and there was dirt on her cheek, but she didn’t seem to care as she hurried over to the two of you, immediately going to feel your forehead.
The Kryptonian didn’t really know what she was feeling for but she’d seen her sister do it before so she felt like it was an appropriate action.
“She’s hot, are humans supposed to be so hot?” Kara asked, looking to Alex and Dr. Hamilton for answers.
“I’m fine.” You replied, trying for a smile. Alex snorted and shook her head, rolling her eyes a little at your insistence that you were okay. She appreciated that you were trying to calm her sister down, but that really wasn’t your job.
“She’ll be okay Kar, go get yourself cleaned up.” The brunette reassured, giving the blonde a sad smile. The superhero gnawed on her lip for a moment, unsure how to take Alex’s reaction. This wasn’t a side of her adoptive sister that she saw very often, and she didn’t like it. It made her nervous.
“Okay. Text me and uh, feel better Y/n.” You hummed tiredly and opened your mouth for Hamilton who was holding a thermometer in front of your face. Kara skittered out of the Med-Bay, leaving the three of you alone, the Doctor muttering her disapproval as she flitted about you, taking your vitals.
“Okay Agent Y/l/n, you’ve got a temperature of 104.1 and a serious case of the flu. I’d like to give you an IV bag of cool saline to get that fever down and once that’s finished you can go home with Agent Danvers.” She decided, already grabbing the bag of fluids while you tensed against your girlfriend.
You didn’t like needles, you didn’t like the medical wing, you didn’t like any of this. Had you known you were actually this bad off you would’ve convinced Alex to take you home so that you didn’t have to be in this stupid room about to get an IV.
“Alex…” You whimpered, tears filling your eyes as you wiped frantically at your running nose. That just made you sneeze, which was both gross and didn’t help your wanting-to-go-home argument.
“It’ll only be a few hours sweetheart. Here, blow your nose.” She pressed a few tissues into your hand, prompting you to blow your nose. It didn’t do much, but it seemed to satisfy her because she took the used tissues from you and tossed them in a trash can, much to your disgust.
“Relax, I’m getting sick either way with the germs you’re spewing. Come here, lay down with me and we’ll get this over with, okay?” Alex smirked, her tone turning serious in the second half of her statement. You bit back tears as you laid beside her, pressing your head against your collarbone to hide from the needle.
It wasn’t like you were scared of needles; no, you were a highly trained government agent. But you weren’t fond of them.
“All done,” You frowned and lifted your head, surprised that you hadn’t felt the typical pinch. Dr. Hamilton smiled pleasantly and readjusted the IV bag, slipping her stethoscope back into the pocket of her lab coat as she turned to leave.
“Get some rest agent. Feel better soon. And Alex, keep an eye on her.” Alex nodded her approval, relief filling her body as you cuddled up to her, still sniffling unhappily. She knew that she could take care of you on her own, but she was still glad she’d made you see Hamilton.
She had technically gone to medical school, well no, she had definitely gone to medical school, but she wasn’t a doctor—just a well-meaning girlfriend who would do anything to keep you safe.
“You mad?” You croaked, almost asleep as you finally let your body rest. You couldn’t exactly change where you were so you figured you might as well sleep.
“Never. Go to sleep, beautiful. We’ll go home as soon as the IV is done.” Alex promised, going back to pulling your fingers through your hair. Her nails dragged soothingly against your scalp, the motion continuing even after you’d fallen asleep. You loved this woman more than you could say and eventually, you’d get the guts to dig that stupid ring out of your sock drawer. For now, you’d settle for this. This was good.

Ok but Krypton!lives au but clark isn't some jerk alien prince, he is a brat no doubt but he's also just so oblivious to everything. Have some of my headcanons for this:
•I imagine it starting with kal el dropping down on Kansas farm [grown up and shit] being found by the Kents as they patch him up and take him down on the guest room, he wakes up freaks out a bit speaking in kryptonian and just floating around the house being overly careful of everything, ma and pa kent are confused and so is Kal, he tries to communicate with them and they finally find a common ground and after a month clark finally learns the human language.
•zod has managed to exile kal from his home planet, suffice to say kal el is currently heartbroken and looking for help
•Kal just saw some random pair of glasses and thought they were so cool so now he just wears them whenever he's in casual clothes but is in no way trying to hide his identity, people are just that dumb.
•Does not get social cues at all and will unwillingly say the wrong thing at the wrong time, he's just a happy little guy who wants to explore this strange planet and then go home
•he particularly likes rock music despite his personality, he finds hardcore metal music soothing
•he once tried to eat Batman's ears, in his defence they looked edible to him,
•Diana loves to fill in kal with false information about the human race, kal is not stupid enough to belive them but follows them anyways just because he thinks it would be funny
•Bruce has a very subtle crush on him and kal notices this immediately, he's confused as to why Bruce pretends to hate him
•The whole league [escpically bruce] is overprotective of him, lex Luthor doesn't stand a fucking chance
•Kal el has no filter and will call you out with a bright innocent smile and float away moving on with his day
•Kal lives in the watchtower only visiting earth for league business, he rarely works alone
•he floats near the Zeta tubes almost everyday hoping to see bruce and when he's not there he's disappointed
• he refuses to walk, he thinks he's done enough walking for a life time and bruce has to tug on kal's cape to make sure he isn't floating above his seat
•he is way more capable of communicating his emotions in kryptonian then in English, he will switch to kryptonian when he's ranting or angry
•Diana and Barry are the ones who suggest he make a civilian identity, and thus is born reporter clark kent.
•He still visits the Kents here and then bringing them souvenirs from space
•Does not understand when someone is flirting with him but will bring bruce random animals he finds in the wild as gifts because "I heard from Jason you like adopting tiny lonely beings"
•he's still pretty good at hiding his identity somehow and at this point as learned all social cues and slang thanks to lois
•yet he still decides to fuck with the league, he gives batman forehead kisses, he once called green lantern a thot ["does that not mean thoughtful?"] And will very knowingly insult anyone who even looks at his loved ones the wrong way
•while bruce is more open of his protectiveness [and possessiveness] of clark, Clark himself is more subtle and quiet about it, but not forgetting he's still technically a spoiled prince of Krypton cannot share. He snatches bruce and gets pouty whenever bruce is talking or flirting with anybody else
•it takes them five years to get together but it finally happenes and they start dating
•the kryptonians finally find clark and force him to go with them but clark now refuses even if his exile is over.
•unfortunately he really can't leave his planet behind and has to leave [he and bruce have a long sad conversation and clark breaks down]
•A month later bruce is handling another team meeting when Clark finally comes back
•he offically leaves Krypton to his older cousin Kara and moves in with bruce
•his favourite movies are the James bond movies
•The batfam all adore him
•Basically I want a Au of sweet innocent clark that's oblivious to innuendos and shit while bruce suffers in silence and the evolves into clark being a little shit who pretends he doesn't know what he's doing when pulls bruce close and whispers in his ear about smth knowing damm well he's doing things to Bruce.
Also-
Diana: Batman if your done fighting with your boyfriend, we need to leave
Batman: wha- kal is NOT my boyfriend!
Kal: (has only be in earth for a year) I'm not?
Batman: I-
Kal: Am I not your friend?
Batman: no kal I never said-
Kal: am I not a boy?

For the Arrowverse ask game/hc list could you maybe do Sara lance? /nf
Tumblr media
god. i sure can
polyamorous bisexual, trans woman. per my Arrowverse Polycule AU, she is with: Oliver, Felicity, Ava (married), Zari Tomaz (queerplatonic), Kara, Nate, Constantine (friends with benefits), Nyssa, Iris, Kendra, I may be forgetting people again,
she named herself after her childhood pet canary
post-alien/human hybrid cloning, she did some scarification body mods to earn back her old scars to feel more at home in her body
hates when her name gets misspelled. who tf is sarah 🙄
STILL IN CONTACT W SIN, OKAY. i don't care. they're besties and they see each other EVERY TIME Sara goes to the present. fuck you. in the polycule au Sin is a Legend
the reason she gets obsessed w cherries is bc her alien species is utterly deprived of the collagen in vitamin C
remember how she killed Felicity in Doomworld? yeah, technically canon-wise Sara forgot abt that, but the next time she saw Felicity after that, she hugged her so tightly that it spiked Felicity's back pain from her paralysis. Sara's still not sure why
in an Arrowverse multiteam groupchat with the other undeads from the Lazarus Pit like Thea and Roy. Roy's nickname in that chat is Rot, Sara's is Dead Dove and Thea's is Speedy Recovery
would fuck her clone
doesn't really tell others that Thea killed her bc she doesn't want anyone to hold it against her
had Gids synthesize a shitton of SPN posters for her, made Ava watch it, got Mick into it, writes Meanstiel fanfic with Mona
Mick is her best friend, pointblank. She knows him like the back of her hand and is fluent in his grunts. loves boxing with him
She is little Sara Diggle's favorite auntie!!
hates when others take her jewelry and is so so so overprotective of the necklace Laurel gave her
can still climb trees w no problem
canonically she wanted to be a doctor as a kid, so now she knows a lot more abt the medical field than the average person
agnostic towing on atheist, but thinks if religion is real it's definitely a multigod type thing
that's all i can think of rn look at her

Feeling the weight of the sun (Here we come, blue and green)
[DEBS SUPERCORP AU] Complete: 8/8 - Words: 80936
Epilogue: Endgame
The six weeks after she was shot were almost unbearable. She wasn’t used to being cooped up in her apartment with nothing to do. She couldn’t work out, she was in pain, looking for stuff to eat in the cabinets was excruciating, and sometimes even walking from the bed to the living room left her gasping for air.
Alex was somehow both not home enough, going over all the documentation of the case, and being extremely overprotective of her, that sometimes Kara felt she couldn’t breathe because of it, either.
Kara used her time alone to really think about what she wanted to do with her life. In the middle of her breathing exercises, her mind traveled to an uncertain future, and all its possibilities. Could she stay in the DEO when everything has now been tainted by the actions of a few?

Being the youngest person in a group of 8 superheroes certainly as its advantage and its disadvantages. Like the fact that everyone loves you, especially kara and Lena, and you loved all of them to. But since you were the youngest they were really overprotective of you, sometime they were treating you like a kid. Even Nia who was the former youngest super friend.
You were not allowed to go on any mission by your self, not even bank robberies. You officially became a super-friend a year ago and they were still not trusting you enough to go on solo missions, your powers were almost as great as Kara's abilities, you could create fire using solar radiation, you had super earing, freeze breath, super strength, you could jump really high and you can breath under water.
But they always feared you'll get hurt or worst. So you only did team mission where someone could keep an eye on you or you just stayed behind.
You were in the D.E.O arguing on a mission with J’onn. "Please j'onn." You plead. "Y/N i said no, your To young and your not trained enough." J'onn said in a Stern voice. "I've been training for a year and its a simple in and out mission, ill be fine."
2 days ago the D.E.O found an abandoned Cadmus base. They planned on sending an agent there to check if they didn't left some useful information there. You really wanted to do this mission, you wanted to prove to everyone you're potential, that you're ready to have more responsibility as a superhero.
You saw kara walking towards you and j'onn. "Kara, can you please tell J’onn that I have  enough training to go on that solo mission." You ask kara. "Y/N I'm sorry but J’onn is right it could be dangerous, and your to young you've not learned enough to go alone."
You crossed your arm, you thought that kara would be on your side. "How am I suppose to learn if i can't even try." J'onn and kara look at each other then back at you. "I'm sorry Y/N we can't let you go." You groan, turn around and walk away frustrated. It wasn't fair, it was really one if the simplest mission ever and they didn't even trust you to do that.
But there was one way to show them that you were capable. Tonight you were gonna go to the ex Cadmus base and do that mission by your self. The only thing is that you don't know were is this Cadmus base, luckily for you, you have just the right powers to spy on people.
You spend the rest of the day spying on j'onn and other agents, and by the end of it you had all the information you needed to do this mission alone. ________________________________________________________________
It was 11:00 PM and you were ready to go. You went to the exact coordinates that J’onn said earlier. You jumped building to building to get there quicker. It was a small 2 story building in the middle of no where, it looked old, The door had a lock on it, you grabbed it and with super strength you smashed it in pieces.
you opened the door and went in. The inside was pretty much empty, except for what looked like empty cages and boxes here and there. You adventure further into the building, after many minutes of searching rooms, you started to feel like you were being watched, despite your growing fears you kept on going further into the building.
'Maybe it wasn't a good idea after all.' You thought. You entered an other room, this one was huge. You expected the room to be empty like the rest, so you were a bit surprised when you saw the room was filled with computers, a little like the D.E.O  control center with less light and smaller.
You inspected the computers, unlike the ones at the D.E.O those computer looked super old. You tried to open one, after a few second the screen open. "Of course there's a password." You told your self.
You were so focused on trying to figure out the password you didn't hear the footsteps coming your way. "Don't move!" you heard someone say from behind you. Your put you hand up in the air and slowly turn around. 6 men with a gun each were standing there guns pointing at you, the man standing in the front and a gun that was definitely not made with earth material, it was for sure alien tech.
You had no idea how to get out of this situation. You thought about running away but obviously you wouldn't get really far, so you did the first thing that popped up in your mind. Your hands lit up with your fire energy. You throw a ball of fire at them, you watch as the ball hit the men but didn't do anything.
' Body shield. Really!' You thought. Not even a second later the man holding the alien looking gun shoot you, you were thrown back ward and, knock over one of the table. You groaned when you hit the ground, you got back up but immediately felt dizzy and of balance, whilst trying to steady yourself you heard 2 guns go off, before you could do anything you felt a sharp pain in your lower abdomen. A loud cry left your mouth as you clutch the wounded area, you fell on your knees and watch as a growing red spot started To form on your clothes.
You opened your signal watch and clicked on the diamond shape button.
 Kara's apartment
Kara was starting to doze off when she heard your signal watch go off, she jumped out of her bed and in a second she was out of the window in her super suit.
Back at the old Cadmus base
You knew kara was fast but you still couldn't stay behind that table, you got up and despite the dizziness and pain you managed to use your freeze breath on them, they were blown away slightly and you use that momentum to limp out of the room. You Walked as fast as you could in the long corridor but you could clearly ear foot step catching up to you. You looked behind to see how far the man were and when you turned back you saw a gun pointed directly at your face, you stopped and raised your hands in the air, the person holding the gun hit you in the face with it, you cough a little and tasted blood in your mouth. Suddenly you felt extremely weak and exhausted, your legs give out from under you and you fell to the ground. After that you don't really know what happened you just ear someone talking to you, your not sure who it is but you think it might be kara.
Kara arrived to a building's location, she used her x-ray vision to see where you were, she saw you laying on the ground surrounded by a group of arm guards. She sped in the building and on the second floor, she made quick work of knocking the guards down. She went to your side and turned you over on your back, she saw the blood on your suit and panicked. Your eyes were closed and for a second she thought you were dead, but then she heard your heart beat it was slow but still there. "Y/N, can you hear me." She ask. You nodded slightly. "Ok good, can you open your eyes for me." You opened your eyes but then closed them again, they were too heavy and you were too tired. "Hey... no... no no no don't fall a sleep on me, please."
You tried your best to keep them open but it was extremely difficult. A warm liquid started to fill your mouth, it had a strange metallic taste to it, 'Blood?' You thought, you hoped it wasn't but it was the only thing that would make sense. You coughed and some of the liquid dripped down your chin and on you cheek. "Shit, that's not good. Ok, Y/N? I'm gonna pick you up and bring you to the D.E.O, its gonna be ok, I just need you to stay awake ok?" Kara said with a shaky voice. " 'll try." you managed to say.
Kara scooped you up in her arms and quickly flew to the D.E.O, you passed out from exhaustion and blood lost on the way there.
When kara arrived at the D.E.O, she handed you over to the medical team, and they immediately started to treat your injuries. Kara then called everyone to let them know what happened. Lena was the first one to arrive at the D.E.O. "What the hell happened?!" Lena ask when she arrived in the waiting room. "Lena, calm down please." " Kara you call me in the middle of the night saying that something happened to Y/N, and that there is in surgery. so no I'm not gonna calm down, now tell me what the hell happened." She said extremely worried about you. " Ok I'm sorry. So Y/N is hurt pretty bad, she was shot." Kara explained worry visible in her face. "By who." Lena asked. "I don't know, I found her in the ex Cadmus base we were suppose to investigate." "What where they doing there alone?"
"Well earlier, Y/N asked J'onn and I if they could investigate the Cadmus bas in solo. We didn't let them because it was to dangerous, I guess they want anyway. I just don't know how they got the location, we didn't tell them obviously." Kara said. "Why would they do that?" "I don't know."
They both waited in silence. After sometime Alex and kelly Walked in, and Kara explained everything to them. By the time you were out of surgery everyone was waiting in the waiting room. Doctor Millers came in the room to inform them of your condition. "Y/N is going to be fine." She announced. Everyone let out a breath they didn't know they were holding, they were all relieved to hear that. " But they do have severe injuries. They were shot twice in the abdomen. One of the bullets managed to punctured one of there lungs, but we managed to fix that. The other didn't damage any organs." They all nodded in acknowledgement.
"when can we see them?" Kara ask impatiently. "You can go see them now but, they're gonna be asleep for a while" The doctor said letting them in your room.
The next day
You woke up the next day to voices surrounding you. You slowly opened your eyes, but quickly closed them again when you saw the blinding lights above you. " Y/N?" You heard a familiar voice beside you. You reopened your eyes and saw Kara worried face standing over you. "Hey, your finally awake. Are you okay does something hurt?" Kara ask from beside you. You notice the wires attach to you and that most of your team was at your bed side. "I'm ok, i think." You said in a tired voice. "You think?" Lena ask from your other side. " I don't know, i feel kinda numb."
" Numb? Is that suppose to happen?" Kara ask looking at alex. "Numbness can be a side effect of surgery so yeah you might feel numb for a couple of hours." You and kara both nodded in acknowledgement. "How long was I out?" You ask. "A day." Alex responded. "And what happened?" You ask. " Emm... I found you in the abandoned Cadmus building we were supposed to investigate. You were shot twice in the abdomen. You're really lucky i got there when I did, you could of died Y/N." Kara said wiping some tears away and you could clearly see the worry in her eyes. " I'm sorry." you said feeling guilty for making kara cry.
"It's fine don't worry. Just... please don't ever pull something like that again and, get some rest." " I promise." You said closing your eyes and drifting back to sleep.
You woke up after some time with a sharp pain in your abdomen. You groaned and slowly opened your eyes. "Is everything ok Y/L/N?" Your doctor ask whilst checking your vitals. "it hurt." Was the only thing you said but she still understood. "Ok just wait a second." She said making her way to the other side of the medical bay. She came back not long after with a syringe. She gave you the medication through the IV in your arm. The pain meds didn't completely take away the pain but it did a good job at easing it. "Thanks." You thanked, she gave you a smile and left the room. After a few minutes Lena came in the room.
"Hey." She said. "hey." "Are you ok?" She asked, coming to sit beside you. "I'm as ok as I can be." You say with a small smile. "Good." She said. "Y/N can I ask something." Lena ask after a minute of silence. "Mmmm." " Why did you go without telling anybody?" She ask. You took a deep breath and answered. "Because I wanted to prove to everyone that I was capable to do a mission on my own. And that I was ready to have more responsibilities. Because you guys never let me go on real mission cause I'm not 'trained enough'. Even if I've been training for 2 years." You said a serious look on your face.
"Y/N we just want to protect you." "But I don't want you to protect me i want to be out there, i want to be a superhero like kara, Alex or Nia. But no one lets me. And after what happened i doubt they'll ever let me." You say with a sigh. "You know what, I will talk to John about this and I'm sure he'll understand, and maybe we could come to an agreement, but on one condition." She paused. "Don't ever do this again, you hear me. Ever again. You really scared us, not knowing if you were gonna make it was, terrifying, especially for kara." "I promise i won't." You said. "Is kara mad at me? Last time we talk she really didn't look happy with me, and she didn't came back to talk or something." You ask. "No don't worry she was just very worried for you. She'll come soon I'm sure." she said reassuringly.  You then both continued talking for a while. Before you fell back a sleep.
Seeing that you'd fall asleep, Lena left your room to go talk to kara.
Kara was standing in the D.E.O lobby, leaning on the rails. Lena stood beside kara. " How are they?" Kara ask. " You know you’d know that if you go and talk To them." Kara sight " I know... i know i should go and see them... i just... i Feel guilty for what happened." "Why would it be your fault, your not the one who shot them, you saved them." Lena stated. "I know but i can't stop thinking that if i had taken there side earlier we could of been able to know sooner that they were in trouble." "You did what you thought was right and they're not really mad at you." "What do you mean not really, they're mad at me for something else?" " No they're... you know what just go talk to them." Kara nodded and went to the med bay. ________________________________________
When you woke up again you saw kara on her phone sitting next to you.
"Kara?" you ask sleep evident in your voice. She smiled down at you and closed her phone. "Hey, how you feeling." She asked. "I'm fine. wounds hurt a bit but  it's fine." "Good good." An awkward silence fell between you before both you talk at the same time. "I just want to say..." you say as kara speaks too. "Y/N I'm really..."
"Sorry you can go first." Kara says "Ok well i just wanted to say that I'm really sorry." You say sincerely. "Why." " Lena told me i scared everybody, and it really wasn't my intention, i just wanted to prove to you all that i was ready to have more responsibilities and i can go on missions on my own." You said trying to get in a sitting position but groaned and flopped back down as it pulled your stitches. "But after that i doubt I'm going to be able to step foot in a fight again. I just wanted to stop being treated like a kid." You sigh. "Your right. We should've let you in on more missions, I'm sorry we didn't. I promise were going to stop treating you like a kid. But you need to promise that if you ever do this again please just tell someone. So that we can know the second you're in trouble." She said holding your hand. "I promise." "Not that your allowed to do anything like that again." She says smiling a bit.

The Vampire Woman - 6
Tumblr media
“Jess, can you please stop pacing? It’s making me uneasy.”
Kara’s ears pin onto the voice, familiar yet not quite. She’s heard it before, she’s certain of it, but everything is hazy and not quite right. Her eyelids are heavy and her limbs leaden, nothing but dead weight.
She lets out an annoyed groan while she tries to pry her eyes open enough to see who that damned voice belongs to but her eyes don’t make it open before her groan alerts the person that she’s somewhat awake. “Kara? Kara can you hear me?”
Letting out a second groan, Kara gives up on trying to open her eyes. She’s lying down and she’s surrounded by warmth and the cosy softness of some kind of blanket so, for now, she figures that she may as well just relaxing into it.
“Kara, It’s Lena, you passed out.” Sha hears the voice say and then she feels something breaking through her warmth, two cold hands grip her cheeks, turning her head to one side ever so slightly. “Kara?”
“M’wake.” The words are slurred together and thick with sleep but the message gets across all the same. “M’wake.”
Kara manages to crack her eyes open but almost immediately closes them, the soft yellow light way too bright for her unfocused eyes despite it being relatively unbothersome earlier. It takes her a second to acclimatise but when she does, she meets the eyes that have been both hunting and haunting her.
Her vision is blurry but she can see those eyes clear as day. Her view of those eyes is quickly cut off those because Jess slots herself in the space between Lena and the bed. “Kara, how do you feel?”
Jess’s professional voice and demeanour does nothing for Kara’s throbbing head, her migraine coming back tenfold from earlier. “Like crap.”
Kara’s tongue feels too big for her mouth and she struggles with the words, rewarding herself for managing to get two words out by closing her eyes again and sinking back into the bed.
“Hey, don’t close your eyes, come on.” Her arms are grabbed and she finds herself tugged up into a sitting position, eyes popping open from the sudden movement.
She whines, an annoying high pitched sound emanating from the back of her throat and it makes both Jess and Lena wince with the sound of it.
“Alright, that’s enough.” Jess grabs her ankles, twisting her until her legs are dangling over the edge of her bed and she’s fully sat up causing the blanket that had been draped over her to fall down around her waist. “Ms Danvers, you need to drink plenty of water and I will grab you that sandwich to eat.”
“Pizza.”
“Pizza? We have a sandwich, besides it’s not even lunch time yet.” Jess scowls at her, obviously not a big fan of hers now, her indifference from before having soured in her absence, turning into loathing apparently.
“Pizza.” Kara says resolutely, holding eye contact with the shorter woman and not backing down. As far as she’s concerned everyone in the building should be grovelling at her feet, thanking her for donating her blood after everything  that happened.
Jess turns away from her, lips tightened in annoyance and face steeled, a fire in her eyes that is burning bright, her anger stoking the flames. “Ms Luthor-“
Lena knows Jess almost as well as Jess knows her and she can tell that she’s reaching her breaking point, Kara grating on her because she’s still mad about the garlic. Kara bringing it with her, as understandable as it is, isn’t something that she’s willing to look past just yet, too overprotective of Lena to do so.
“Jess, please acquire Ms Danvers some pizza, she deserves it after doing me this favour and seeing as she’s having a bad reaction to it, I think we more than owe her.” Lena’s tone is stern, not particularly pleased with how abrasive Jess is being.
“Yes, Ms Luthor.” The fire in Jess’ eyes dims slightly but doesn’t completely diminish but she does respect her boss and not just because she’s the woman giving her a paycheque every month. She takes her leave, rushing off to go and find some pizza for Kara.
Lena watches her go with a fond smile, secretly loving how overprotective Jess can be of her. Jess has been with her since she started the company and she’s the only person that isn’t afraid to tell her when she’s doing something wrong, a trait that Lena is very impressed by.
Turning her attention back to Kara she gives the woozy blonde a tight lipped smile. “So, are you feeling ok?”
Kara nods, her eyes flickering shut for a brief second, struggling to keep them open. “Yeah, I’m just tired. I don’t feel nauseous anymore, I won’t be sick again I don’t think.”
“I’m happy to hear that.” Lena answers, pressing a water bottle into Kara’s hand. “Drink up, it will help make you feel better.”
“I’ll be right as rain in a minute.” Kara mumbles, lifting the bottle to her lips and taking a massive swig from it, downing half of it in one go. “I’ll have some pizza and then I’ll go home to catch up on some sleep.”
A pang of guilt eats away at Lena. She may not have been fully in control of herself before, but that doesn’t mean that she wasn’t vividly aware of what was happening, that she wasn’t oblivious to the awful thing she was trying to do.
It doesn’t help that she’s the reason that Kara didn’t sleep properly or have time to eat anything before she was brought here and as a consequence of that, the human has thrown up and she’s passed out, albeit only for a minute or two, but it was long enough for her to call Jess in a panic and have her come and check on her, glad that she has someone with at least some first aid knowledge in the building at this time in the morning. It’s not even eight thirty yet.
“Sorry about that.” Lena says glancing down at her watch. Most staff don’t come in until around nine but she knows that some of her employees like to come a few minutes early and she doesn’t want anyone that trusted finding out about her…requirement of blood. “Would you mind if we go upstairs and wait in my office for Jess to come back? The lab will be needed soon.”
Kara slides off of the bed, landing on unsteady feet, hands gripping the edge of the bed until she’s sure she has her footing. “Ok.”
Any blood drips on the floor from her messy feeding have already been cleaned up, it gave her something to do while Jess was checking on Kara and she already tidied away all of the equipment so all Lena has to do is grab the sheets off of the bed and toss them in a specific basket in the corner of the lab so they can be sent off to be cleaned.
Once she’s done that, she offers Kara her arm to lean on to make the walk to the elevator a bit easier and she has to hide her disappointment when Kara’s hand gets half way over to her before she changes her mind and just keeps walking.
There’s a tentative level of trust between them but it doesn’t stop Kara from clamming up and pushing herself against one side of the elevator, nervous about being in such tight quarters with the vampire woman, even after being alone in the lab with her and having her looking over her when she was passed out.
“So, you’re a vampire with a whole ass company?” Kara asks, too awkward to stand there in complete silence.
“That’s not how I would have put it but yes, I do own a ‘whole ass company’ as you so graciously described it.” Lena chuckles lightly.
Kara hums in response, and then changes topics, asking a question that’s been on her mind for a little while. “Did you mean what you said the first time we met?”
Lena does, and the memory of the question Kara asked her while she was being pinned to that wall has been in the forefront of her mind since she asked it, since she let her go because of it. “I do.”
“Have you not been able to watch the sunrise from like, a dark shadow or something? I don’t know, I guess not the most important thing in the world but it is something that I suppose people take for granted, being able to stand out in the open and let the light of the sun wash over you in the morning.”
Lena thinks on it, Kara’s eyes burning into the side of her face while she does so. “Perhaps, but it wouldn’t be worth the risk, it is very painful for someone like me to be out in daylight and if even a tiny patch of my skin comes into contact with the sunlight, it will burn me so I just stay inside. I do miss it, I recall watching the sunrise as a young girl back when I was still human.”
“Wait, you used to be human?” Kara asks, genuinely surprised although when she thinks about it, it does make a lot of sense. She did quite a lot of research after her first attack but she never got a lot of information about where vampires actually come from.
Lena takes in a shaky breath and it doesn’t go unnoticed. “I was, a long time ago. The truth is that I was bitten by a vampire myself, she was going to kill me, just how I was going to kill you but the attack was interrupted and she didn’t take enough blood to kill me and was cut down by a guard where she stood, but after that, I started changing, my heart stopped beating and the sun began to burn me, my appetite couldn’t be satiated until eventually I did to someone else what she did to me, except I didn’t fail.
“My family was very wealthy, we were nobles over in England centuries ago and they are no longer anything other than a distant memory, that’s the worst part of being a vampire, forgetting the people you love because of how much time has passed, knowing with each passing day you’re forgetting them a little more until one day you can’t remember them at all, living completely unaware of the life you once had.”
Lena keeps her eyes locked on the little screen that tracks the floors, watching as they get closer and closer to the top floor where her office is, using it as a distraction so she doesn’t have to look at Kara, scared to see her face after an admission that big, one that she isn’t sure why she announced to the woman.
Just before the doors open Lena feels a warm hand on her arm. “I’m sorry, that can’t be easy.”
The doors open, giving Lena and excuse to change the subject. “This is our floor, it’s just this way.”
Taking that as a cue that Lena doesn’t want to talk about that anymore, Kara keeps her mouth shut even though she wants to hear more, the reporter in her rejoicing with each new titbit of information being thrown her way, each sentence increasing her yearning for more to the point where she’d happily sit in a room with the vampire just to hear her entire life story, which based on the fact that she’s admitted to being centuries old, would be remarkably long.
Kara follows behind Lena closely, impressed by the fancy look to the building, something she didn’t get to admire on the way in since she was brought in from the back alley and then brought straight now to the labs. There wasn’t really time for a guided tour but it would have been nice if they had at least offered it up as an option.
Lena opens up the door to what Kara can only assume to be her office, holding it open for Kara, letting her walk in first, giving her the chance to take in the space, to let her be disappointed by how grand yet boring the office is.
“You have enough money to have a building this big and yet you have the most boring office on the planet. What’s up with the monochrome white look you have going on? This would be a terrible place to accidentally spill our coffee…or your blood, whatever you’re into.” Kara gawks at the place, outraged at the lack of creativity in the place, every bit of inspiration and imagination she’s ever had draining out of her body because of the soul sucking dullness that the room embodies.
What can Lena really say to that? The only excuse she has is that she likes the way her dim lights reflect off of the clean surfaces, the white letting her feel like she’s bathing in the warm orangey-yellow lights.
Even the blinds are white, blocking out any hint of natural sunlight from seeping in. They only get opened when it’s night time and she can go out but even then, most of the time she’s only travelling from her place to work so she doesn’t have them open very often.
“I like it, I don’t like distractions while I work.” Lena settles on.
Kara snorts, an unattractive noise that she doesn’t try to muffle even a little bit. “Yeah, there’s definitely nothing to distract you in here unless you consider the fact that the white of your table is the tiniest touch a brighter shade of white than the shade of white of your couch.”
Lena doesn’t have to look at either items of furniture to know that Kara is just making fun of her, but her tone isn’t harsh, it isn’t even judgemental, it’s light and airy, no malice in her words, just amusement.
Kara saunters across the room, her skin reflecting the light the same way the rest of the room does because her skin is so pale. She drops herself down onto the couch, resisting the urge to kick her feet up onto the coffee table the way she would if she was at home.
“So, I just want to be clear with something.” Kara makes direct eye contact with Lena, regretting it and wondering why she keeps torturing herself with the beautiful green eyes the woman possesses, and briefly wondering if her eyes hold some kind of weird vampire power that she isn’t aware of. “I want to know if we are in agreement that now I have donated blood to you, we are even and there will be no more breaking into my place or trying to attack me or anything even remotely connected to things like that.”
Lena sits opposite her, taking up residence in a chair that she is now noticing that she needs to replace because it is ungodly how uncomfortable the chair is, but then again if she keeps it and just doesn’t sit there herself it will come in handy, any unexpected guests would be rushing out of the door because of it.
“Of course, I never should have expected you to follow through with the agreement from last night anyway, I should have known better than to have Jess come and get you, I should have given you the option to come on your own. I won’t bother you again, Kara, I promise.”
“Thank you, I do appreciate that sentiment and I suppose that it’s not all bad, it finally convinced me to just take the leap and buy a car so I won’t be walking home from work anymore.” Kara presses herself back into the cushions of the couch, finding it surprisingly comfortable but still wishing that Jess would hurry up with the pizza so she can get home and go to sleep.
Lena smiles but it doesn’t even begin to reach her eyes. “That is…yeah, that’s good. There’s a lot of dangerous people around, not just vampires either, as you know, but I am also sorry that I robbed you of feeling comfortable walking home.”
“I was never all that comfortable to begin with, I just didn’t want to spend any money I didn’t have to, it’s done now though so I guess it’s ok.”
“Well, if there’s anything I can do to make up for some of the undue stress and injuries I have caused, I would very much appreciate the chance to do just that.” Lena ducks her head, hoping that Kara has something she deliver on, something to ease her guilt.
Kara knows what to ask for but she also doesn’t want to get what she wants to ask for. She’s asking anyway. “I don’t know if you’re aware of this but I work at CatCo Worldwide Media as a reporter so say I were to do an article on vampires, would you let me interview you?”
Lena freezes, a mixture of the shock of Kara asking her for something like that and also a healthy dose of terror, but still only a fraction of that in which she inflicted upon Kara. Kara has the power to expose her for what she is, she has the power to destroy her entire life. She can’t believe that a reporter of all people knows her secret, this is the worst possible job Kara could have.
Kara tries to stay calm, brushing off the startled, deer in the headlights look that Lena has been struck with. Content to wait for her to come to a decision, she basks in the silence. Whatever answer she gets, she’s going to win. If Lena says no then she’ll never have to see the woman again and if she says yes then she gets a new source to add to her ever growing repertoire as she builds up her contacts with her career.
The only problem she’ll face is that if Lena agrees then she’ll have to see her again, she won’t be able to simply expel the woman from her life and she’ll have to put herself in a position where she can be hurt again, or maybe even worse this time.
Lena opens her mouth to speak and Kara ends herself on the edge of her seat, intrigued to see what answer she’s going to get.

from the hand to the heart
Supercorptober Day 30 “spell"
thanks to kmsdraws for the prompts
Kara believes in magic and Lena.
ex sole usque ad manus / ex manus usque ad cor
from the sun to the hand / from the hand to the heart
////
They had a plan.
They had a plan, and this was not it.
Her portal watch was not supposed to break.
Kara was not supposed to blow out her powers.
And they definitely, definitely weren't supposed to get blown up.
Alex was going to kill them.
Lena adjusted Kara's arm over her shoulder, and tried to redistribute her weight a little better.
She can see Kara trying to watch her feet as they step, trying to keep herself upright as much as Lena is but eventually, it becomes too much, and her foot catches underneath her, and she drops to one knee.
Lena gets her back to her feet and wedges herself up against Kara's side even more, but soon she's not even really trying to walk and she's falling forward again.
"I-I'm sorry."
Kara's voice is slurred, and she can barely keep her eyes open.
Lena lets out a shaky breath.
She looks around, trying to get her bearings. They're in the middle of nowhere, she has no idea where they are or how to get back. And even if she did, there's no way she could make it with Kara like this.
She needs help. But help is somewhere that isn't here.
She needs to think.
She slides Kara's arm from her shoulder, and kneels next to her.
The whole of her is a contrast of dark blues and bright reds. Lena's hands reach for the darkest parts of her suit, tearing the fabric as much as she can.
"Hey," she says gently, brushing Kara's hair back from her forehead.
"I'm sorry," Kara says again.
"You don't have to be sorry; you just have to help me keep you alive long enough for your sister to find us and yell at us both."
Kara's eyes flutter open and she tries to focus on Lena.
"Hey," she says, suddenly a little more awake, "what happened?"
"The portal watch broke and we got blown up."
She keeps the words simple to hide the shakiness in her voice.
Kara's eyes widen. "Oh, that's not good."
Lena starts to unclip Kara's cape from her shoulders figuring she might be able to use it and also because Kara always complains about how heavy it is when she doesn't have her powers.
She feels a faint tapping on the back of her hand.
"Are you okay?" Kara asks as her arm drops back down.
"I'm fine," Lena says. "Somebody used themselves as a Kryptonian shield."
"Oh." Kara's eyes close and her head falls forward "What are you doing?"
"I would prefer if you didn't lose anymore blood."
Kara cracks one eye open and looks at Lena. "Can't you?" she raises her arm up again and waves it around a little.
Lena stills just as she presses Kara's cape against her side, brow furrowing.
"You know, m-magic?" Kara asks, her words slurring again.
Lena frowns.
"I don't know how to use it like that — It's a little more ... elemental."
"It-it's a go-good thing, I'm s-solar powered then."
"Kara."
She tries.
"L-Lena — "
But Kara has never given up on her before, why would she start now and she knows that tone.
"No. Okay, no. Now is not the time for one of your hope speeches."
"You-you said y-you like those."
Lena feels her throat tighten, her eyes sting.
"Kara"
"You aren't gonna hurt me."
Wants just a little for Kara to not believe in her so much.
"I could very much hurt you."
But Kara has always had enough faith for the both of them.
"I'm already hurt."
"I could kill you."
"You won't"
"We could wait"
"We both know we can't"
" Fuck! Okay, okay."
Lena takes a deep breath, she could feel Kara's blood on her hands, could feel the fire that laid just beneath it, could feel the light buried past it all.
She repeated the first part of the spell under her breath.
ex sole usque ad manus
Said it once, twice, three times, before she finally said it out loud.
ex sole usque ad manus
The sunlight was blinding, searing, and she almost wanted to pull away but then she started to feel it build within in her too.
ex manus usque ad cor
She tied every good thing she could to the words, every bit of love and every bit of hope and every bit of Kara.
And then she let it go.
All the light and all the warmth spreading from her hands into Kara's chest.
The sunlight wrapped around them both, her hands feeling like they might burn into Kara's skin. She felt both their chests tighten, felt both their hearts quicken. And then then all at once all of it stopped. Nothing but a bright flash and sudden darkness.
Lena fell back, gasping for breath herself as she felt the last of the sunlight die away inside her. She opened her eyes and was caught in the haze of stars above her and the feeling of the hard ground beneath her. She struggled to take a breath, her lungs felt full, her chest heavy. She blinked and watched the stars dance above her with every flicker.
There was a warmth at her side and she turned her head to see Kara lying next to her, chest rising and falling with even breaths.
Lena reached out, and a tentative thumb brushing over Kara's cheekbone.
Kara's eyes fluttered open and she looked at Lena with a dazed expression.
"Hi," Kara said simply, roughly, as she pushed herself up gingerly to a sitting position.
Lena frowned as she sat up as well. "That wasn't exactly how I planned it." She looked down at her hands which were shaking slightly.
"Are you alright?" Kara asked as she reached out to steady Lena's hands.
But Lena ignored her, running her hands over the torn fabric of Kara's suit instead. The skin underneath still a little red and a little bruised, but all put back together.
"Lena?" Kara asked again.
And this time Lena took a deep breath and at least nodded.
Kara lifted Lena's hands up carefully, holding them steady once more as she pressed a kiss to each of her palms. And Lena didn't know if it was the light still lingering there or feeling of Kara herself, but she could still feel the slightest buzz under her skin.
Lena looked down at their joined hands and then back up at Kara.
"Told you it'd be okay," Kara whispered.
Lena stared at her for a moment before she leaned in, closing the space between them as she pressed her lips to Kara's, the buzz beneath her skin making itself known in a whole new way. And when Kara kissed her back, wrapping her arms around Lena's waist as she pulled her closer. Lena let herself be pulled in, let herself be consumed by the light and the warmth that came not from a spell or the sun, but from Kara herself.
"Woah, gotta admit this was not what I was expecting."
Kara and Lena pulled apart at the sudden intrusion, hearts racing after everything.
Nia came to a stop in front of them. "I mean, yay! But Alex is going to be pissed if this is the reason you're comms went offline."
But before Lena or Kara could even start explaining everything that had happened, Brainy interrupted them again.
"You're bleeding," Brainy said, pointing at Kara's suit and then at Lena's hands.
"Was bleeding," Kara corrected quickly.
"Yeah, I guess your sister is going to be mad either way then, so take your pick." Nia shrugged.
"Ugh." Kara turns back into Lena's arms and ducks her head against her shoulder.
Lena smiles, lets her hands fall to Kara’s waist, allows her chin to rest on top of Kara's head.
But even if the words are said in jest, it isn't only levity they carry.
"Don't worry, darling, I'll protect you."

Because he's... Dick
read it on AO3 at https://ift.tt/ipFxGDf by andromarche What Bruce wants to say is that Nightwing has other commitments, to Bludhaven, to the Titans. Even though he knows its not a good enough reason. Because what Bruce actually wants to say is that he wants to keep Nightwing as far from the worst of the threats as possible. His son, Dick, should have a different life, a better one. He'd hoped that moving to Bludhaven, leading the Titans would give him enough of the action that he was always seeking out but keep him from the worst of it. But Bruce is delirious with this many pain meds in his systems, and all the wires in his brain cross and fizzle out in a spark of electricity. So what actually comes out is, "Because he's... Dick." Well, shit. Or Batman wished he missed the League's meeting to vote on new members, because Nightwing's nomination prompts his overprotectiveness to lash out. What's especially bad is that he'd had been way too hopped up on painmeds and now the League thinks he's bitter about Nightwing breaking up with him. It's okay and thanks, want a female matchup for Vampire diaries and Supergirl if you do it please. I'm usually cold to people I don't know well and big time loner that loves spending time alone or only with atleast one person but fiercely loyal and protective over the ones I love. I'm goth and love wearing dark colors but can sometimes be like a kid when getting excited over things I adore. Won't start a fight first but sure as hell will fight back if anyone starts one with me first. Have some heart problems and often times am sick and feeling weak and in pain. I love video games, reading, writing, music, all things fantasy and sometimes love drawing when the inspiration hits me. Absolutely adore animals and often times prefer being around them instead of other people. Also have anxiety and is depressed so often times I can be caught in a gloomy mood.
Tumblr media
Kara Danvers -- loves taking care of people, and will be more than willing to get you a puppy and fly it to your apartment whenever you're feeling down
Tumblr media
Hayley Marshall -- tough on the outside, but super nice and sweet once you know her. Can be annoyingly overprotective at times, but you know it's only because she loves you so much

Request: Baby Danvers is the new vigilante in National City. When her sisters find out, they're overprotective of her but then she shows them how well she can defend herself & ends up fighting side by side with her sisters against the new villian in National City. Maybe they can have a heartwarming sisterly moment afterwards.
Tumblr media
Authors note: I am not quite happy with the whole outcome of the story, but I hope you still like it. Reason the Danvers siblings know about your work as a vigilante is because it slipped out of Winn's mouth when they raised the issue at the DEO, but this will not be discussed further in this story.
Summary: As a baby, your parents dumped you on the street. A man came across you and took you into his family where you grew up as an ordinary woman alongside two siblings. But at 20, you accidentally became known as a vigilante who saved many lives and stopped many crimes, only being able to do that because they taught you all the things you needed. You kept everything a secret from your family until you couldn't anymore.
ᕚ---ᕘ
"You wanna do what?" your eldest sister demanded as she used the hand of the soldier and transformed into her protective suit. Alex already knew where this discussion was going. Not for the first time in the past few weeks, this conversation has been reignited when a renewed adversary of Supergirl has been rampaging around town.
"I want to help. Fight by your side and protect National City from the new villian" you repeated, rolling your eyes in annoyance as you sat on the couch at Kara´s apartment, one leg crossing over the other with frustration.
"Out of question," she shook her head to emphasize her explicit comment, avoiding looking at you, knowing that she would buckle if she caught your puppy eyes and the pout. You were too young and had no experience dealing with an opponent who possessed far more powers than simple bank robbers.
It had been hard enough for her to accept that you were the new vigilante that the DEO wanted to hunt down first, but putting you in even more danger than you already were on a day-to-day basis was a no go for her.
"Come on, Alex! I want to be a hero, just like Kara and you!" you pleaded, arguing a fair point. A direct glare and a frown on your forehead signaled the redhead pure anger pouring out of you. Fixing her visually, you tried to intimidate her with a scrutinizing look and steer her opinion in a different direction.
But you hit a hard wall against which all your requests ricocheted off, Alex stayed strong.
"No, I do not want you to get hurt or worse. You stay here, end of discussion" you waved her off and crossed your arms grumbling over your chest. It was not your fault that small tears suddenly welled up in your eyes and you leaned your face in the direction of the open balcony.
Disappointment set in over the fact that the redhead did not trust you to fight at both sides and to be able to protect yourself. You took a shaky breath as you tried to calm down so as not to drop a single tear. Strictly refusing eye contact, you listened to the conversation between your siblings while nervously shaking your foot.
"Y/n?" you quickly blinked away the water that had pooled in your eyes and glared at the young blonde who was standing in the bedroom doorway, eyeing you questioningly. "Hm?"
"You do not need to be angry, you know why we are doing this" she said with pursed lips, knowing that you would like to come with her but in her eyes, you were still to green behind your ears to understand the danger you would put yourself and others in. "We just want to protect you. You are still too young to engage in this kind of war"
"I can decide that myself," you replied without looking her in the eyes. "Like you did when you saved the crashing plane Alex was in"
There was a brief silence, then Kara got up from her seat with a smile and walked over to you. She was aware that she would not allow you to do some things, but she did not want you to see and do things that could probably haunt you for the rest of your life. "We have to go now. I will bring you your favorite ice cream, okay?"
With a kiss on the top of your hair, she disappeared from the balcony with Alex pressed close to her.
As soon as they were gone, you stopped gripping the pillow with all your strength and ran to your room to change into your costume. Over your black dress, which you wore underneath, you put on a wine red vest of decterity with lacing at the front and sides before you underlined it with a dark red, luminous cloak, whose tendrils of roses on it shone bright red.
With the last laces of your black boots tied, you set out for the action. Immediately pulling your hood over your head to protect your identity, you stayed in the shadows of each alley, moving swiftly as to not be noticed until you were in the arsenal of the battle.
Running into the frey, most of the people were running in the opposite direction, making it difficult for you to get to the heart of the fight. As you battled the crowd and squeezed through the narrowest of gaps between people, you spotted Kara and Alex surrounded by several aliens.
You quickly jumped and slid over the concrete blocks that blocked your way while pulling your black mask over the lower half of your face. With a somersault, you landed in an open but secluded place and immediately drew your bow, which you strung with an arrow and aimed at General Astra´s rogue Kryptonians.
Intentionally, one of the arrows broke loose and hit one of her followers with a krypton-made tip while attacking your sisters, making him fall to the ground. All the attention from the people as well as from your sisters and the attackers was now on you.
"There is Red! She is helping Supergirl!" yelled an unfamiliar voice near you and you caught the young eyes of a boy who was hiding behind a fallen tree with his friends. His big grin, despite the ongoing danger told you, that he was one of your fans.
A fainted snort drew your attention up into the air as your eyes met the triumphant expression on the face of no other than Kara´s aunt. Your siblings also had their eyes on you by now, shocked and at the same time angry glares throwing in your direction. "Y/n, what the hell are you doing here?!"
"If I were you, I do wipe that smug smile off quickly" you said scathingly to Astra, and all the assembled humans, the Kryptonians and your sisters while ignoring the redheads ask- You spoke as if fate had now chosen you to continue the fight against her. You were brave, so incredibly brave and you would not give up until you took the life out of Kara's aunt, even if you were more scared inside than you carried on the outside.
The moment you drew your bow with an arrow and aimed it at her was the moment the scenery exploded. No matter what you had been through by now, whatever was about to happen would decide either war or peace.
"I guess it runs in the family," she began, throwing her people back into the fray; who immediately pounced on Supergirl. "Eighty percent quirk that you think your toy could kill me and only twenty percent normal because I can smell your fear from here."
You snarled. Astra was clearly not thinking straight when she let the sentence fall out of her mouth. But you did not have time to think about it. She charged at you, who was absolutely in no shape to dodge the powers of a Kryptonian. Luckily, your sister pushed you out of the way, taking the hit skillfully. "You will not touch her!"
"Get the kid!" she yelled hysterically. Astra was mad, very mad as her blood burned in anger. She let her comrades loose on you and Alex, who dragged you with her, but you stayed away from her a short time later. "Alex, stop. We have to fight!"
"We do not stand a chance, we do not have superpowers!"
"But we have each other," you stated and your fist collided with Nonn's chest who was after you and was now on the ground for a fair fight. Your punched him blast after blast, trying to remain standing, but one powerful punch of wind sent you tumbling to the ground, leaving you with no air in your lungs.
-If you do not stand up now, you will never show your chance to fight alongside your sisters- you thought to yourself and stood up while the redhead kept up her punches and blasts of her gun towards the Kryptonian. "Alex, hold him!" The redhead looked back briefly before turning around and holding him firmly in her grip. You took out a special arrow, the tip bright green, and let it hurtle towards the enemy's chest, not moving any facial muscles as he collapsed.
Alex had not made any move to evade, as she had more trust in you than you thought and had not even flinched at the approaching attack. She stared at you for a few seconds before finding her voice. "Good shot, sister. Remind me to never piss you off."
You laughed briefly before putting your bow back around your body and using Alex to launch another attack on other Kryptonians to give Kara space to deal with Astra. Anyone with common sense would have been scared of their physical superiority and their superpowers, but not you. You were cut from Danvers wood.
ᕚ---ᕘ
Exhausted, you fell through the door of the apartment, immediately threw your bow with the remaining arrows on the floor and lay down on the couch. After a strenuous day in which you sustained a few small injuries, you just wanted to spend time on the couch and not move a muscle.
"Y/n, get off the couch. You are covered in dust and dirt," ordered the blonde in a slightly annoyed tone and you lifted your head over the back of the sofa, your gaze meeting the blue icy eyes that glared at you before wrinkling your nose in response. "Meeh, without food there is no energy and without energy there is no movement of my body." you let yourself fall back into the pillow, earning a loud giggle from the eldest Danvers.
From your position you tried to grab the remote control, which was too far away for your standards. Fingertips danced on the edge of the table, scratching at the plastic of the remote control.  Just as you almost pushed it towards you, the redhead grabbed them and swooped your legs off the couch. "Make room,"
Alex turned on the television, which immediately switched to one of the news channels. You looked at it in amazement as a helicopter shot showed you fighting shoulder to shoulder alongside your sisters. And you did not look so bad. "Well sis, I have to say that you really showed courage and ambition today," remarked the woman next to you and you smiled overjoyed at the compliment given. "Still, I have to ask.. What do you actually think of putting yourself in such a situation even though I expressly forbade you to come with us?"
She sipped the beer she had previously grabbed from the fridge and did not tear her eyes away from you. You could see sheer anger in her expression, but you could also see relief and pride flashing in her eyes.
Alex rested her arms with her elbows on her thighs, waiting for you to answer. Your mouth opened and closed, but not a word escaped your lips. Just as you were about to utter a simple apology, her mouth turned into a big grin and she lovingly pulled you into her arms. "Even though I do not approve of you not following my rules, I am super proud of you."
She ran her fist over your head several times in hasty motions, ruffling your hair as you nimbly tried to escape her grasp; laughing. "And I first, little one. You really helped us," the blonde also chimed in and brought the food to the table. She lifted your upper body up to get you into a sitting position and squeezed into the free space that was created.
"Does that mean I can always fight at your side from now on?" you asked and your face enjoyed new happiness. Your eyes were wide, pupils dilated and shining in the bright light of the living room. Your lip formed into a big smile. You promptly sat up, looking between your two sisters and waiting impatiently for an answer.
Alex and Kara looked at each other intently above you before smiles appeared on their faces too. They both began to shake their heads before uttering a "no" at the same time. Rolling your eyes, you took a slice of the pizza out of the box and flopped back onto the backrest in annoyance before taking a bite. "But that does not mean you will never be allowed to do it again."
"What?" your ears were alert and your chewing sped up in curiosity. The blonde paused for a brief moment and turned completely to you so that she could talk to you better. Alex had also now completely focused on you. "J'onn and Alex have agreed to train you in the DEO. As soon as they consider you approved, you can come along on a mission every now and then."
"Really? So you are really sure about this and you do not want to tease me now, right?"
Shaking both heads again caused the happiness hormones to pour out of you. With your arms stretched out behind them and placed on their shoulders, you pulled both of them close to you with full force. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" you were happy. Their heads leaned against yours, both grinning from ear to ear.
"Now eat and relax, you are going to need the energy. I am going to give you hell during training."

I was just feeling sad about the whole Kara luthor au because Lena didn’t have anyone but imagining Alex on her side and having someone like that being very overprotective about Lena does make me feel much better lol
And a bit ot but I’m like you that in my mind, Sam is always in Lena's corner, that poor woman deserves at least one person in her life that didn’t lie to her and would choose her! I guess it’s one of the reasons I don’t really ship Sam/Alex or Sam/Kara and why I hit the back button so fast when I read a fic where Sam sides with Kara about supergirl or she already knew about it
Sam is also in the resistance, radicalized by losing Ruby in one of Kara Luthor's catastrophes. I imagine that this Sam is a little more like Reign, but isn't actually a worldkiller, just personality wise. Like, she's always angry, bitter, with an edge. She's less strategically minded than Alex and Lena, driven by her emotions rather than thinking of the long game. Lena and Alex often have to reel her back in, when Sam wants to recklessly charge in and just start whaling on Kara and the other Luthor forces.

Fic/side story idea where we see everything through Kara's adopted parents' eyes. Leaning toward her mom on this one.
I wanna see that lime scene again and you can see kara's mom looking at her daughter with pure joy and love.
I wanna have her catch Krithika spying on Kara and for them to have a conversation, and whether it goes terribly or amazing. Them being overprotective mama bears.
But most of all, I wanna have her utterly heartbroken when Kara is taken away from her. During the time gap in CoG, maybe she sees Kara on the street and tries to go up to her, but Kara will shake her away due to memory loss.
I want to see when her and Kara finally reunite.
