We live in a world where a brown woman is threatened with death threats, is doxed and constantly harassed by the trans/lgtbq community because she dared to speak up against the white ‘non-binary’ child groomer on Tiktok. This isn’t okay, considering yall are threatening her kids as well! People literally have her kid’s private information - their address, their school etc. The fact that the lgtbq community is not even talking about this??? In fact, yall participated in harassing her and were so quick to call her ‘transphobic’ just because she said Jeffery Marsh’s obsession with kids was creepy. Jeffery Marsh still has a platform, still has thousands of fans supporting them and attacking the women or anyone else who speaks up. How is this not oppression and hate? How is silencing someone who speaks up not oppression? The lgtbq community does this then talks about being oppressed and how they’re not grooming kids? Please make it make sense. I’m disgusted asf rn. I’m all for living your life the way you want and protecting your rights, but in no world is doxing a woman and harassing her and her kids ‘protecting your rights’. This isn’t the first time I’ve seen the community being intolerant or creepy - numerous instances of people yelling on streets, a drag queen showing her naked ass to a kid and people cheering her on, a little girl intimating a stripper and collecting money and being cheered, a school that preached gender fluidity attacking a mother and refusing to show her the school’s syllabus, Jeffery Marsh preaching the isolation of kids and telling them to pay to ‘talk to him privately’ without anyone knowing. This is borderline creepy and grooming behavior and all the time that I’ve been in this community, no one ever mentions this. No one talks about the creepy aspect and people in this community. Yall love calling the conservatives oppressive and names but honestly yall are no better. Protecting a groomer and calling anyone who speaks against them ‘transphobic’. Yall may never realize this but you people are just as oppressive, just as intolerant because you can’t handle people calling u out and because you do not allow them to speak up. At the end of the day, a lot of the ideologies and behaviors of the lgtbq community are rooted so deep in colonization and patriarchy that we do not talk enough about it.

Hello tumblr! This is my first post in this blog and I just wanted to say hi! I’m just going to be talking about some struggles I have as an ftm trans teenager as there is very little I can do physically that can solve any sort of dysphoria and such. This is just a safe space and I’ll answer most of not all questions people have for me and ask questions myself. Love Victor was not perfect. I stand by every word I said about it’s lack of representation of lgtbqa spectrum and it’s narrow view of the ‘right type of gay’

Heartstopper, by contrast, has the straight passing gay but also shows other characters who are not and treats them all with respect and understanding

However, Heartstopper does not touch on religion. That is something Love Victor does and does better than the shitty ‘Grilled Cheesus’ episode of Glee.

Isabel, by the way, was not a bitch in S2. She is a woman who was raised in organized religion. Organized religion teaches their members to not question any of their teachings even though the so called ‘word of God’ was written by very human and flawed men who had agendas-not just religious, but political (among other things)

For someone who was raised in such a environment I can tell you she is not a bitch. It was good to see religion and faith and homophobia addressed (even if not in depth but it would take a whole series, if not more, to address that issue/conflict in more detail)

I also appreciate that Love Victor addressed bisexuality (and did not dismiss it)

Essentially Love Victor was a mixed bag for me, but I think it was a damn sight better than Glee and in its last season and a half it was less sanitized than the movie by the hack Greg Berlanti

Thoughts: The Once and Future Nerd starts out like an 80s movie where you think: oh I know what’s going on here. I know who the main character focus is going to be. I know what lessons the writers want to get through. And you’d be very wrong. The Once and Future Nerd twists expectations and tells the parts of the story a lot of media in the fantasy genre ignores. Jen is a cheerleader, Billy a football player, and Nelson a nerd. The three of them are transported to a typical fantasy world with elves, orcs, kings, and knights. But the children are more complicated than high school stereotypes, and the fantasy world isn’t as straightforward good vs evil as Nelson, or those inhabiting the world, would like to think. There’s a lot of depth in this podcast, and if you like the fantasy genre especially classic fantasy like Tolkien I highly recommend giving this one a shot.
