Il se passera toujours quelque chose avec ce groupe.

C'est inexplicable. Qu'il soit toujours là à venir chanter ses chansons et celles composées par d'autres, ou en duo, trio, et garder autant de force d'interprétation dans certains ( oui il y en a d'autres où on sent que c'est la récré 😄) et passer tout ça à des salles immenses. Et tu te retrouves comme deux ronds de flanc, à les recevoir en pleine tête sinon en plein cœur. Même si t'as mal aux pieds, au dos, et au cou, purée merci la trentaine, que tu creves de chaud, ou que tes voisins puent le vieux tabac froid ou fument de la verte, ça t'atteint toujours, des fois ça swingue, des fois ça crache, des fois c'est planant comme une cérémonie, d'une écoute presque religieuse.

2h35 d'une setlist étonnante, pavée d'extraits rares, l'irruption du set de Pornography, hallucinant coup de poing qui a ravi les puristes, les nouveaux morceaux, ballades mélancoliques, et les classiques intemporels qui mettent tout le monde d'accord, The Cure c'est tout ça. Un concert total, un enchaînement qui nous laisse a peine le temps de reprendre notre souffle, un Robert habité et toujours prêt à baragouiner des trucs drôles et décalés, à sourire à la foule, à plaisanter sur son français nul, à coup de "Merciou ! " Et à amorcer son départ non sans profiter de la foule repue, et bruyante, il nous fait face jusqu'au bout, le poing sur le coeur, presque surpris, reconnaissant peut être, et s'en va traversant ainsi la scène, rebutant de nous tourner le dos, on dirait un premier ministre qui doit quitter la Reine d'Angleterre. Et vu comme il adore la famille royale de son pays, cette dernière comparaison m'aurait sans doute valu deux doigts levés en un V qui n'a rien de victorieux.

Bref j'ai un nouveau T Shirt.
