Pent up yeah, I bet, a whole lot, just waiting.

A/N: This ended up being a lot longer then a blurb sorry not sorry lmao. I think Sukuna is the embodiment of if evil why hot? If evil why you wanna suck him off?
Tumblr media
"What's the matter, where did all your attitude from before go, huh sweet cheeks?" Sukuna's hands held you by the wrists, pulling them towards himself while his other two pairs of hands kept your legs spread open, "You were so feisty before I got my cock in you."
"S-Shut up. Just... fuck!" Your back arched at one particularly deep thrust. Damn it, you were supposed to be watching him, making sure that he's not up to anything crazy. Last time you checked your duties didn't include being absolutely railed by him, but that was what was happening.
Sukuna's eyes darted all over your body, from your pretty, flustered face, your lips, red and swollen from his, your eyes welling up with frustrated tears, your body, marked by him, kisses and scratches painting such a pretty picture of his ownership over you, your clit, which was just begging for attention, your pussy, being rammed by his cock. What a sight you were.
"Your cunt is opening up. It knows it's master, about time you accepted me. You're finally being more honest with yourself. Ah, but I want you to say it, say it. Before I breed you like the bitch in heat that you are, say who your master is." You almost did, your body on the verge of betrayal, your pussy walls tightening around his dick. No, no, you couldn't lose to him. "What a stubborn bitch. It's fine, I always welcome a challenge." He started pulling on your wrists, pulling your body towards his, no longer were you just having his cock rammed into you but he was pulling you onto it too, the frequency of the wet, slapping sounds increasing, along with your moans. "Close?"
He was so damn smug, he knew it already, he just wanted to humiliate you more, "No." You lied, "I... I can't... I won't..."
"You can and you will. Disobedient slut, think you can lie to the King? Fine, I'll make your slutty pussy admit it then as it takes my seed." Sukuna almost roared as he smirked down at you, his eyes locked on your still defiant face, "It wants it already, your pussy wants my cum. So dirty of you, wanting to be breed by the man who you're supposed to hate. I'll breed you for all to see, for all to know you're my woman, mine."
"Go. To. Hell." Your threat was a lot less convincing with how good his cock felt inside of you. Sukuna's hand guided one of yours towards your clit and without thinking you started rubbing to. "Fuck...!" It felt so good, so damn good, you shouldn't enjoy it, you should hate him, want him dead. You did but... a part of you also wanted his cock, and that part was starting to get hard to ignore.
His triumphant laughter made you feel even more ashamed, "That's it. It feels good doesn't it, to give in. Surrender, and I'll take good care of you. You don't need the Sorcerers anymore, hell they probably won't take you back now that you've enjoyed my cock. Or maybe they will, because they know your good pussy can keep me at bay."
You bit your lip, struggling against the reality of his words with little success. He shouldn't be right, he shouldn't hold any sort of power over you, he shouldn't make you feel good. But he was, against all your wishes he was making you feel so damn good right now. Desired, and the way he spoke, like it was all you, it was you who could keep him at bay. You, as long you were his.
"Never again." You still tried to argue against him.
"Liar. You're such a liar. But I have all the time in the world to get you to be honest with me. In the meantime, I want to see how much cum this hole can hold." He started going faster, at lightning speed almost as his thrusts actually stung where his body met yours, "Dishonest mouth but a honest pussy I see. You'll take it, take my seed, get pregnant you little lying whore, see if you can deny me then, when you're properly breed and round with my child." Sukuna roared his release, his cock shooting bursts of thick, hot, white cum.
The sensation made your body halt in the spot, then start shaking as your orgasm hit you, your fingers moving recklessly and with wild, lustful abandon over your clit. "Pull out." You groaned and whimpered, already knowing it was too late for him to do so. Still he obliged, smug as ever, but only to see the flood of his cum rushing out of your still clenching hole. "You're such a fucking bastard."
"Agreed. At least I admit what I am. You'll get there soon too, until then..." Sukuna leaned back and pulled you along, four arms wrapping around you, "I'll have to teach you your lesson over and over. Get ready for round two." His cock entered your sensitive hole again, starting the process until you admitted that you were his.

It's hard being a college student, barely thriving in an environment filled with stressful deadlines you need to meet, sleepless nights just to maintain your GPA, things that need to be done each week and to top it all off, working as a bookstore clerk in your free time to help shoulder a bit of your student loans and everyday expenses. To say it simply, life is hectic. The odds seemed to be stacked against you as things appear to be getting even worse when you received an eviction notice from your landlord, giving you just a week to find a new place to stay.
On day five, you were fortunate enough to find an affordable and decent place that is a 20-minute drive away from your university. Though you find it a little suspicious since the rent is fairly cheap and it isn’t exactly an apartment complex but a house shared by five other people, you decided, screw it. You're desperate, certainly you don't want to be homeless? Besides, the place is neat and plenty huge. What's there to complain about?
Thursday morning, after a few back-and-forth texts with your manager at the book shop, begging him to let you off, you managed to haul most of your things to your new place with the help of your ever-gracious friend, Aoi. By the time you manage to get all of your things in your designated room, the other occupants are still nowhere in sight. You feel somehow comforted by that fact, still bothered by feeling like an intruder.
Weariness slowly seeps into your bones and without much fight, you let sleep consume you, laying down on the barely set-up bed in the middle of your disorganized space without any heed to the mess of boxes littered on the floor and the wide opened door of your bedroom.
Tumblr media
It's eerily quiet. Kento notes as he pushes the front door open with a sturdy hand, Choso and Suguru in tow. They're all exhausted from the chaotic buzz of the outside world, their shoulders finally loosening in relaxation at the familiar interior of their shared home.
"Oh— our new housemate should be here by now, correct?" Suguru breaks the silence, eyeing the place in search of a new face although he's only met by empty and unknowing stares. There is no sound of boxes being moved around, not even thuds of feet against the floorboards to indicate someone’s presence in the house aside from theirs.
"Maybe they postponed the move?" Choso offers, barely caring about his friend's concern as he struts to his own room so he can finally rest. Though his footsteps halt as soon as his eyes catch the sight of the supposed empty room— oh, someone's here.
"In here." He calls to the other two and within seconds, three pairs of eyes are prying into your room, one judgingly and two out of amusement.
"It's a girl." Kento speaks, eyes sweeping the entire space with both concern and a hint of astonishment at the cluttered boxes. How can she sleep with all that mess?
"Indeed." Suguru's face is embellished with a smile that he fails to contain. Choso could only elbow him in a scolding manner. The former, seemingly taking after a certain white-haired man's antics, dramatically howls and falls forward, slumping against his blond friend's back while he clutches his side.
"Get off!" Kento chides, shrugging the other male off of him.
You have always been a light sleeper, even the tiniest sound could wake you up from a good slumber. It's no wonder you're getting roused out of sleep by the ruckus made by the three individuals standing just outside of your bedroom door. It takes you a minute to realize though, blinking at them in confusion before scrambling up to your feet to greet them in your haze.
"Oh gosh, I'm so sorry for the mess! I'm the new tenant, it's so nice to meet you guys, finally!" You bow your head a bit in greeting, flashing the three a sheepish smile.
"It's no problem. You've only arrived, the mess is inevitable." The long-haired man says kindly, his eyes crinkled as he offers you a charming smile. "I'm Suguru, by the way. This is Kento," he gestures to the blond man who is already looking at you, a small yet amiable smile on his face too, "and Choso." Said man makes a saluting gesture to greet you.
You quickly introduce yourself, albeit a little timid. Being in the presence of three good looking men sure would make anyone almost melt on sight.
"Do you need help with unpacking?" Choso offers gently, the three of them waiting for your answer. Though you quickly turn it down politely, not wanting to be a bother on your first day here. Besides, the three of them probably have things to do, like resting. Kento stifles a yawn while Suguru’s eyes look sluggish while he leans on the equally tired-looking Choso.
"Well, okay. If you need any assistance, you can call us. Choso's room is right beside yours, mine and Suguru's are upstairs." Kento tells you and there's something about the way he sounds so caring despite only meeting you that makes you heat up and giddy.
"I'll keep that in mind. Thank you, guys." With that, they leave you to your own devices so you can start unpacking and cleaning up.
It takes about an hour or two of silence before a tall figure blocks your door, 6 or something feet tall hovering in your room like a nosy child. "Hey there!"
"Hello?" You greet him back despite the confusion, watching him step over unopened boxes and check the things you've managed to set up in your room. He reminds you of a curious dog, sniffing around the space in interest.
Once he deems it enough snooping, the man strides over to you, looming over your frame as he looks at you through the sunglasses perched perfectly atop his nose bridge. "Satoru. It's nice to finally meet you." He says your name after his greeting and you look at him questioningly.
"Ahh, Suguru texted me about you." His stark white hair is distracting as you look up to meet his eyes and you can only nod in response.
"Get back here, you lunkhead!" A deep, agitated voice echoes in your room, coming from another tall (and another good-looking) man, stepping into your space, seemingly after someone though he immediately stops once he spots you in front of Satoru.
Sukuna's eyes flit along your body from head to toe before he acknowledges you with a friendly wave though the suggestive smile he has is anything but. He introduces himself with confidence, standing big and almost imposing despite being a head shorter than Satoru.
What is up with your housemates being obnoxiously attractive?
Tumblr media
7 months. It took you 7 long months to get used to the presence of your housemates without getting all jumpy. Sure, you still get flustered when Choso pats your head so affectionately every time you thank him for buying snacks for you; you stutter when Suguru teases you about your bedhead with a pinch to your cheeks; you start rambling when Kento asks you about your day and he only smiles and listens to you; you feel all hot and bothered when Satoru presses himself up against you when you cook or even when Sukuna parades himself around the house half-naked like it's no one's business, but hey, it's still progress!
"Hey, earth to, darling!" Suguru waves a hand in front of your face once he notices you've been staring into the distance in the middle of your conversation.
"Huh? Sorry, what was it again?" You're certain that the tips of your ears are red from getting caught spacing off again. You don't want him to get the wrong idea and assume that you find him boring— as a matter of fact, he is far from boring.
Geto Suguru is nowhere near bland and basic. Him and his inky, long, black hair that cascades along his back so beautifully you're almost jealous of it. Suguru, with the way he's always so gentle with you despite his tendencies of being playful. It's all in good fun but he never takes it too far as to hurt you. Sometimes you can even share a good back-and-forth conversation about just anything and nothing, like you’re supposed to be doing now, if he's not out being stupid with Satoru. It's just that recently, you find yourself daydreaming about your roommates at the most inappropriate times of the day.
The latter only laughs, nudging your cheek with his knuckle affectionately before he shakes his head. "Forget about it. Let's just bother Choso to cook for us. What do you say?" You're certain that you and Suguru are going to be yelled at but you indulge him anyway.
Choso was distant during your first few months in the house, not wanting to make you uncomfortable by being all up in your space like two of his friends were (are? since it's an occurrence that is still happening at present time), namely Satoru and Sukuna. He's warmed up to you now, bringing you snacks that you mention to him in passing every time he gets back from university. He's so attentive and caring in his own way and you appreciate all that he is. A wonderful man with such a wonderful face, you could stare at him and admire the horizontal tattoo across his face all day.
"No, I'm not gonna cook for you. Bother someone else." You were halfway down the hall when Choso steps out of his room with a disapproving frown. You swear, he's got some weird telepathic sense.
"How'd you know? Dude." Suguru mutters, scratching the back of his neck in a sheepish manner before backtracking to the kitchen with his hands placed on your shoulders as you walk in front of him.
"Let's just order takeout or something." You suggest once you've made it back, hopping on the stool and leaning forward against the countertop. Suguru settles beside you, one of his arms is around your shoulders now, his other hand blindly fishing for his phone inside the pocket of his sweatpants.
“Chinese!” Satoru throws in his suggestion once he enters the kitchen, heading straight towards the fridge to grab himself another sweet treat— it’s his sixth one today. You wonder how he maintains his pearly white teeth. As far as you know he has never experienced a toothache in his entire life.
“Want some this time, pretty? Sugu?” Satoru offers, looking over his shoulder to see you and his best friend with a bright smile. The thing about Satoru, no matter how insufferable he and his sweet addiction can get, he’s always thoughtful in his own way. He likes to share things that he has, whether it’s as insignificant as a pen to his favorite mochi from an expensive brand. You figured it’s innate to him with how he was brought up with a silver spoon in his mouth— not having to think about the consequence of spending or losing material things since he can always get a replacement, and better. In a way, Suguru took part in humbling the Gojo heir but it’s really just Satoru through and through: annoying with no financial sense, but sweet nonetheless.
“Nooo, we had Chinese food the other day! And another no, thank you.” You huff, eyes scanning the food delivery app displayed in Suguru’s phone.
“I want something greasy.” The latter mutters, clicking on an infamous fast food logo, ignoring his best friend’s quips about his unhealthy obsession with oily chickens, undercooked potatoes and bland-tasting burgers. It sounds rich coming from him, considering he’s the one gobbling up an entire box of macarons from a shop with a foreign name.
“You three are so fucking noisy.” Leave it to Sukuna to make such bold entrances with his deep voice and colorful vocabulary.
“Lovely of you to join us. Tell these two to order Chinese food right now!” Satoru sounds so overjoyed, thinking he found himself a comrade in Sukuna but the latter only scrunches his face in irritation.
“Don’t tell me what to do, punk. I’ll beat you up.”
“Okay. Let’s just have pasta instead.” You decide to step in, knowing that Sukuna’s provocation will lead to an endless bickering with Satoru refusing to back down and Suguru being dragged into their childish argument. It’s an almost everyday thing and at first, you found it amusing but now you’re just tired of it.
Sukuna looks and acts like a brute most of the time. He speaks with this certain edge in his tone and it doesn’t help that he lacks the ability to filter his words. You were most intimidated by him before you got to know him better, what with all his tattoos and deep voice (though you’re not denying that it suits his bad boy charisma). You didn’t expect him either to look after you when you got sick on your fourth week living with them, of all people. He was like a mother hen yapping his head off about how you need to go easy on yourself, to get as much sleep as you need while feeding you— he’s a real big softie behind his sharp tongue and I-don’t-give-a-fuck-about-you persona.
“Kento! You just got home?” Suguru’s question makes you look towards the blond male’s direction just outside of the kitchen’s entryway. This makes the two idiots stop bickering as well, choosing to focus on Kento instead.
“Yeah. I was at Yu’s house the whole day.” Kento answers simply before frowning at the sight of you guys crowding the kitchen. “Don’t tell me you can’t decide what to have for dinner again.” He added, now making his way towards you with a roll of his eyes, carrying bags of what seems to be…food? Oh, thank the heavens!
“Is that Chinese?” Satoru ignores the previous question, opting to take some of the bags from the younger male and place it on the counter in front of you and Suguru.
“It’s not. Mrs. Haibara made them.” Kento sighs, placing the rest of the bags beside the others.
“So, Japanese?” You supply, digging through one of the bags to see for yourself.
“Why does it matter? It’s food.” Sukuna rolls his eyes before yelling at Choso to come join you in the kitchen so all of you can eat together.
“I didn’t even say you could have them.” The blond says out of indignation though he doesn’t do anything to stop Satoru from stabbing one slice of the chicken katsu from the container with a chopstick which makes Suguru slap his hand and scold him.
“Thank you, Ken. Come sit with me, let’s eat.” You pat the other stool beside you, promptly kicking Sukuna’s ass (literally) away when he attempts to occupy it.
“Wench.” The tattooed man mumbles, rubbing his behind as he settles beside Satoru across the three of you. You don’t say anything back, deciding to assist Kento with his own food out of courtesy and gratitude for his timely intervention. It wasn't worth it to stir up another childish bickering over food, and you'd rather keep the peace.
“I already ate but thanks, sweetheart.” Kento murmurs next to you, watching as you fret over him with a fond smile. The thing about Kento is that despite being a man of few words, he’s loud in other aspects that shows how much he cares. Like the way he always remembers his “annoying” housemates and brings back food because he knows that none of you, except Choso and Suguru, are responsible enough to make healthy food on your own. He may not say it outrightly but he gets quite worried about all of you all the time, and as much as he hates to admit it, he’s taken the responsibility of parenting grown adults even if it takes a toll on him sometimes. He doesn’t mind it as much now as he used to, knowing you’re there to watch out for him in return.
“You all deaf or somethin’? Someone’s been knocking at the door for a while now!” Choso complains as he passes by the kitchen, trudging towards the front door with a scowl as his stomach grumbles in hunger.
The door is opened to reveal your next door neighbor’s kid, Megumi, looking wary and a little upset that it was Choso who opened the door for him. “Is Miss Sunshine here?”
The older man’s brows furrowed in confusion, trying to decipher who “Miss Sunshine” is before the familiarity of the nickname hits him, making him squint his eyes down at the kid. “That’s not her name.”
“Dad calls her that.” Megumi simply responds, frowning back at Choso.
Before the latter could say anything else though, your voice rings through the house as you ask Choso who was at the door. Your figure comes into view soon after, wanting to see who's holding your housemate back from his much desired dinner.
“Miss Sunshine!” You hear the cheerful voice of Megumi which makes you run to the front door with an excited smile.
“Megs! What are you doing here? Everything okay? Where’s your dad?” You crouch down to meet the boy’s eyes, shooing Choso away who you hear grumble under his breath about "brats" and "stealing attention” as he walks away but you choose to ignore him. He's still probably salty about the incident that involves his precious little cousin, Yuuji, who only wanted to play with the other boy when he visited rather than pay attention to his ever-longing “Choso nii-san”.
“Dad said he has to go to work. Can I stay with you until he comes back?” The boy asks, hopeful and big, doe eyes staring at you almost pleadingly— not that he needs to anyway.
Megumi is a sweet boy, raised by his father right even though sometimes, Toji makes questionable decisions like leaving his son alone at night without as much as a heads up to another responsible adult to look after the boy— like you. Not that you’re saying Toji needs to tell you about his whereabouts or whatever, but you’ve been Megumi’s babysitter since you’ve befriended his father. Even though he seems pretty independent, you still can't help but worry about him. After all, he is still a young kid and could easily get into trouble by himself. It would worry you greatly if you were to find out that he was hurt or worse while his father is away.
“Of course, baby. Come on in. Did you have anything for dinner yet?” You usher the boy inside, leading him to the kitchen where the others are. They immediately stop talking once they spot Megumi with you, hiding behind your figure with an inconspicuous glare directed at all of them.
“MEGUMI!” Satoru is the first to break the silence by yelling the boy’s name in glee and jumping off his seat to welcome your little visitor. Said visitor hurries to shield himself more behind you, clutching at your shirt as if it would save him from the impending doom that is Satoru. Megumi, on multiple occasions, has shown his dislike for the older man.
“Don’t bombard spiky urchin over there.” Suguru mumbles uncaringly, more focused on the food he’s currently eating. The nickname he and the others have picked for Megumi makes you roll your eyes, and you don’t miss the slight whine from the little boy behind you. He loathes that nickname so much.
“Come eat with us, Megumi.” Kento waves for the latter to join him and the rest, getting off his chair to give it to the boy.
“I already did. Thanks though.” Megumi sends the blond man a tiny smile, seemingly the only person he’s okay being around with. Out of all the men within the vicinity, Kento seems to be the only one who acts completely normal with the boy, aside from Suguru who mostly doesn’t care but sometimes joins in on the teasing with Satoru. Sukuna, on the other hand, tries to terrorize the little man whenever he can but his lighthearted intimidation seems to never work because Megumi doesn’t really care enough to pay attention to him— or to any of your housemates aside from Kento occasionally.
“Where’s your father, boy?” Sukuna asks, briefly looking up from the rectangular plastic container full of sushi he's hogged from the rest.
“Work.” Megumi plainly responds, not even bothering to look at the older guy but you can clearly see the annoyance gleaming on the boy’s face.
Oh. This is going to be a long night.

She’s seen him around the coffee shop she frequents every once in a while. ‘Gorgeous’ might be an understatement – maybe ‘sculpted by the gods’ would be a more accurate description.
He’s tall, muscular, from what she can tell under his loose-fitting tee and jeans. She swears she’s not gawking, but with the tattoos that line his face and arms, so intricate yet simple, his fluffy pink hair, could anyone really blame her for staring a second too long?
He’s so breathtaking, she might just be showing up to the coffee shop more often than she used to just in the hopes of glimpsing him a little longer. Maybe in a different t-shirt, maybe in a suit– okay stop.
She’s decided to take a seat while she waits for her order to be called out, not having paid particular attention to who from the list of regulars she sees strewn about the shop.
“Order for Father Kuna!” She huffs a small laugh out as the barista calls the name with such a straight face, and then pink hair is blocking the view. Her breath catches in her throat the moment he turns around to walk back to his table with a grin, and their eyes meet. Her heart jumps into her throat, but the moment is only that- a moment, and then he’s moving out of her view, back to the table of other men laughing as he rejoins their group.
She chances a look that way to see a man with long black hair, and another with short white hair. She looks away before any of them can feel her eyes on them. It was enough that he was so attractive, but all three of them?
It’s not the first time she’s seen him smile, but it is the first time he’s looked at her, smile widening as they lock eyes.
Granted, it’s only Tuesday, this whole week has been one inconvenience after another, and her visit to the coffee shop is not an exception. In her rush to find caffeine, she’d neglected to bring her wallet with her. So, imagine her surprise when she moves to pull it from her purse and pay, only to notice it missing.
She’s huffing as she frantically looks through the bag again. The cashier in front of her looks bored, like this is probably not the first time this exact situation has taken place today, and if the world could just open up and swallow her whole right now, that would be great–
“I can pay, if you can’t find your wallet.” A voice calls from behind her, and if her cheeks weren’t already red from embarrassment at her current situation, they would be now.
Turning to look at the owner of the voice, she’s met with an abdomen, and as she follows it up, black tattoos come into view, and so does pink hair, and are his eyes red–
“Oh, please no, it’s fine I’ll just–” He laughs, and she feels like every inconvenience in her life could just melt away at the sound.
“I insist. Besides, what kind of good Samaritan would I be if I left a damsel without the caffeine she looks like she might break down without?” Her face scrunches up at his comment, but before she can question it, he’s stepping past her to order his own drink and pay.
“I was joking, by the way. About the caffeine comment. I’m sorry if it came across rude, you just looked a little you could have used a laugh. Long week?” She laughs and nods as they wait off to the side for their drinks.
“The longest. And thank you for paying, really you didn’t have to, but I appreciate it, nonetheless.” He grins again and her heart might actually jump out of her chest at just how painfully gorgeous this man is.
“It’s no issue, I like helping people where I can.”
“Well, I’m going to pay you back after this, just so you know.” He chuckles and shakes his head.
“There’s no need, we’ll say I just did it out of the kindness of my heart and leave it at that.”
“I don’t like feeling like I owe people.”
“Then don’t feel that way.” She lets out an exasperated huff as she looks up at him, but he’s grinning down at her again.
“Okay fine, fine. How about this? How about you can pay me back, by meeting me… Here.” He says as he scribbles an address out for her on a napkin. He hands it over, and she takes it with a raised brow, looking at the unfamiliar street name and number.
“You want me to bring your money to an address I’ve never been to before?” And there’s a sparkle in his eyes as he looks down at her.
“I don’t even know you.”
“Sure you do,” he says with a nod, continuing on, “I’m Sukuna, the devilishly handsome coffee shop patron who doubles as your knight in shining armor for today.” She laughs as he grins.
“Okay, well, what makes you think you know me?” And he pretends to think for a minute.
“Well lets see, I’ve seen you around this little shop long enough to know that you’re a woman of your word.”
“How, this is the first time we’ve ever exchanged words.” She scoffs another laugh.
“Oh so you have noticed me around then?” And anything she says next would give away the fact she did notice him around, so her jaw opens and closes silently as she debates on what to say next.
“I-” And she’s saved by the barista interrupting her derailed train of thought.
“Order for Ryomen!” He moves to the pickup bar, taking the two drinks in hand and walking back to her.
“Meet me there tonight, seven fifteen.” And she’s still trying to register what’s even really happening as he hands her the cup.
“What is this like a date?” The words leave her mouth before she can stop them, and she bites her tongue as he chuckles.
“Yeah, something like that. Just come, then consider your drink paid for.” And how could she say no to him?
“Okay sure,” she laughs nervously, “I’ll be there, Sukuna.” And she savors the way his name sounds, rolling off her tongue.
“I’m looking forward to it, enjoy your drink.” He says with a smirk, before leaving her in the coffee shop. Sitting down at a nearby table, she pulls out her phone to look up the address she’d just agreed to meet a semi-total stranger at, and when it loads on her map she’s left even more confused than before – it’s the address to a church.
She’s sitting in the parking lot of the church, staring at the doors in contemplation. She’s not very religious, but the curiosity of finding out just what he could possibly be asking her here for, is why she’s making her way to said doors once the first few groups of people pass. She laughs to herself at the mental image of the church setting her ablaze the second she steps in.
Looking around at everyone sitting down, she’s searching for pink hair, but doesn’t see it. For church on a Tuesday night, the place is almost packed. She barely finds a seat with breathing room from the sea of faces around her.
‘It is only eight past seven though, maybe I’m just early.’ She thinks, trying to calm her rising nerves. What is she even doing here? It was so easy for a handsome stranger to coax her into following him to some random church, surely this was not the stellar survival instinct of someone who doesn’t get serial murdered.
The minutes tick by, and she’s about to just get up and leave, mortification starting to settle at the fact she believed he would even show up, when a familiar voice gathers all attention to the front of the room, and she freezes.
What exactly is she supposed to make of the sight before her? Black tattoos, pink hair, muscular body, covered up in black clothing, complete with the white tab collar. If the building wasn’t going to set her on fire before, it surely would now.
“Good evening, everyone. For those of you that are joining us for the first time tonight, I’m Father Ryomen.”
He’s looking out into the crowd as he speaks, eyes scanning the rows of people for her. When his eyes land on her, her breath catches in her throat, shivers running through her entire body.
‘There is no way in hell that I am horny in church right now.’ But there is a way, and his lip is currently curling up at the corner as he looks at her.
So, she sits for the next hour and a half, listening to the sound of his voice as he goes on through his sermon, not retaining anything except for how smooth his voice sounds, booming off the walls. He gives his closing words, and everyone around her begins to get up. Some filter out, most stay back to chat with him, and she decides to wait until there is no longer a line leading up to him.
The last big group of people finish up, and she’s finally had ample time to process the image before her as she makes her way toward him against the leaving crowd.
“You made it.” He says with a warm smile, and her stomach twists.
“I won’t lie, I thought you were joking still when I realized it was a church. So, a priest, huh?” He laughs with a nod.
“Forgive me, father, if I didn’t take you for the type.” Sukuna smirks down at her, and for a second, she swears there’s a mischievous glint in his eyes. It’s gone just as soon though, and she chalks it up to the lighting.
“Most people don’t, with the tattoos and all. I don’t mind, though. I use it as a way to show it is not our place to cast judgment upon others. But services are over, please, just call me Sukuna.”
“How very religious of you, Sukuna.” She hums.
“And what about you, then?”
“Honestly? I’ve never been very religious.” She shrugs, ‘but I can see why the people at this church would be’.
“And yet I talked you into coming? Surely that’s got to mean something.” He jokes as he rests a hand on her arm for a second.
“It does, if I’m not mistaken, my drink is now paid for in full.”
“Hah.” He fake laughs, and the sound makes her stomach flutter as she looks around.
“I should probably get going though, I think we’re the last two here.” She notes, seeing the fact everyone else has filtered out of the church, before looking back up at him.
“Why don’t you stay with me and lock up, I want to show you something.” Conscious of the fact she still doesn’t really know him, she raises an eyebrow at him, searching his face for any ill-intent.
“It’s nothing bad, I promise. I don’t bite, if that’s what you’re worried about.” And she doesn’t sense anything bad about him, his words seem genuine. There’s something about him though, she can’t quite place. It doesn’t set off alarm bells, but it piqued her interest, making her stomach knot in anticipation.
So, she follows him. Chatting about nothing in particular as he tidies around, and they lock up the church for the night.
“You know, I would have never in my wildest dreams, guessed priest.” He threw her a smile.
“So what did you dream about me then?” Her cheeks burn, and she busies herself with the now very interesting chip in her nail polish as she flounders for a response. But he hooks his finger under her chin, grabbing her attention.
“Hey, I’m kidding.” He says, leaning down to catch her eye, and her heart stops. She’s not sure what she’s doing as she stares back into scarlet eyes, but the air around them changes. Suddenly, it’s thick with desire, so thick she could almost choke on it. And she can feel the gap between them slowly closing- he licks his lips, eyes glancing down at her own for just a second.
“C’mon, we’re not done yet.” He says softly, before pulling away. Her head is swimming, was she just about to kiss the hot coffee shop priest inside the church, no less? But she doesn’t dwell, he’s already moving to the other end of the hall, and she’s quick to catch up.
“It’s usually one of the other two fathers and myself,” he explains as he moves through the church, checking doors and tidying up as he goes. “unfortunately they’re both out this week.”
“And that leaves poor Father Ryomen to take care of the church all by himself?” She teases, and he scoffs.
“They’re unreliable as it is. Though the current company isn’t an undesirable exchange.” He winks at her, and not for the first time tonight, she wonders why he’s called her here.
“Why did you bring me here?”
“To repay your drink from earlier.” She rolls her eyes with a smile.
“That is so not why you dragged a stranger to your church.”
“Why do you think I dragged you here then, hmm?” He whispers, eyes slipping down to her lips again before searching her face.
“And I already told you, we aren’t strangers.” As he says it, it really does feel true. She doesn’t feel out of place next to him, doesn’t feel like she shouldn’t be here, even if this is the first time she’s stepped into a church in years. She takes his shift in conversation and runs with it, not answering his previous question. The thought he’d brought her here for anything other than to listen to him preach was starting to take hold, and she’d rather not read the room wrong and tell him what she was really thinking.
“It’s been so long since I’ve been to church, I thought maybe I’d be struck down the moment I made it inside.” She laughs, stepping past the door he holds open for her into a new room.
“Have you ever done confession before?” He asks, moving to refill the holy water.
“Can’t say that I have, but I get the gist of it.”
“Enlighten me.” He’s glancing at her with a stern look on his face as he caps the bottle.
“You sit on one side, us sinners sit on the other.” and at that he cracks a smile, chuckling.
“Keep going, you’re on the right track.”
“And, they tell them to you and you forgive them on god's behalf.” He shakes his head, still smiling.
“Want to give it a go?” She looks at him with an arched brow, and this time she laughs.
“You did this on purpose didn’t you, paid for my drink to get me into a booth. I’m almost positive that falls under coercion, y’know.”
“Oh c’mon, just try it. Don’t you trust me?” And there it is again, that mischievous glint in his eyes that makes heat pool in her lower stomach. She bites her lip.
“No I trust you just fine Sukuna, I just-” But he’s placing a hand at the small of her back, leading her to the booth at the front of the room.
“What are you doing?”
“Going to wash you from years of sin.” He whispers as he leans down to her ear, and a shiver runs through her.
“You’re joking-”
“I wouldn’t dream of it.” And he’s reaching over her to slide the curtain aside, motioning for her to sit.
“I don’t think-”
“Then don’t. Be a good girl, have a seat.” Her stomach flips at his words, and there’s that smirk again. Like he knows exactly what he’s doing to her. What could humoring him hurt? She’s moving, brushing past his reach to sit on the hard wood. He gives her a nod, closing the curtain.
“I’ll be right on the other side, then I’ll talk you through it.” 'I bet you would' and the words are flashing in her mind before she can stop them. Maybe five hours ago, before she knew he’d sworn himself to a life of celibacy and Jesus, his hands all over her had been attainable. But now? This just felt like torture- and yet here she was. Being a good girl for him, and sitting in his booth.
She chews her lip, shifting her thighs together.
“Nervous?” He asks, hearing the noise. She stops moving, shame washing over herself. Not only was she trying to relieve some of the tension between her legs in a church- Sukuna could hear it.
“Y-yeah, something like that.” She laughs, putting her hands to her face.
“You have nothing to worry about. Sinning is innately human, that’s why you come to me.” And did she really come to him? Certainly not for this, but again, here she was. When he realized she wasn’t going to speak up again, he continued.
“Let’s start off with this, just say what you can read off the little plaque there.”
“Sukuna-”
“Aht aht,’ he cuts her off “I’m Father, in the booth, little one.” Heat pools between her legs at his tone. It’s playful but firm, and she can’t help the way she’s biting her lip to not make a sound. She follows his instructions, and- this feels ridiculous, what are they doing exactly? Why is she still doing it?
“What are they?”
“I don’t,” she wracks her brain for an answer. Being here in the first place, premarital sex, lusting for a priest, lusting for said priest while in the church.. The list was long, and she wasn’t sure saying it aloud would make the dull ache she was currently feeling any better.
“Don’t be shy now.” And he says now like he knew something she didn’t, about what was really going on here.
“I’ve watched Twilight.” It’s the first thing to come to her mind that doesn’t elude to the fact she’s going home to stuff a dildo into her aching walls while she thinks about him tonight. The answer catches him off guard, and he chuckles. Turning to the wicker wall dividing them. She can’t physically see him looking at her, but she can feel his eyes on her through the divider.
“Twilight, really?” Her cheeks turn pink, and she looks right back at him.
“Look I read it was like, devil worship according to the church in some article, okay?” He shakes his head with a smile.
“The woman who I met in the coffee shop just doesn’t strike me as the type to watch vampire movies, is all.” He teases.
“Oh like you’ve never watched a single fantasy movie.” He’s quiet now, and she blinks.
“… Not a single one, ever? Isn’t lying a sin, Father?” She challenges.
“We should stick to the topic at hand, sinner.” Her jaw drops and she scoffs in disbelief.
“Okay, well, the next one is that I have tattoos.” She can just imagine the look on his face right now.
“That’s a common one.”
“I’m still surprised they let you, with the tattoos.” She notes, smoothing out her dress over her thighs.
“I can be very convincing, when I need to be.”
“What is that like code for something?”
“My charm helps, even the little old ladies got over them when I flashed a nice smile.”
“I’m sure you’re very popular with all the grandmas.” She laughed.
“Not as popular as Father Gojo, but he’s always been the type to flirt with most things that have legs, regardless of age.” And he has to keep from rolling his eyes or talking any further down on the white haired man.
“I thought flirting was like, forbidden in your religion.”
“Not necessarily forbidden. frown upon, sure, side-eyed possibly.” She could live with side-eyed, hell she could live with frowned upon too. She wasn’t the one that took an oath of never sticking her dick in someone else. But she was the one that decided she wanted a priest of all people, to stick their dick in her. That wasn’t much better for her in the long run though.
“I think that about covers all my transgressions up to this point. Hey, does it still work if I confess to something I eventually will do? I think that’s a much better way to run this whole thing.” Sukuna chuckles, she’s definitely warmed up to being here with him, he can tell in the way she speaks so freely.
“That covers everything huh? Sure you’re not missing anything?”
“Like what?”
“How about, ’I’ve been eyeing up a priest for the past month now’.”
“I- what?” Her voice catches in her throat, jaw dropping and face burning. This visit had just taken a left turn, there was no way he’d just said that.
“Go on, say it. Unless of course, I’m wrong? Just remember, lying is a sin.” She can hear the smirk in his voice, but he doesn’t stop.
“Maybe, ‘I’m so turned on I can’t even sit still’.” Her breath catches in her throat- how could he have known that.
“Or how about, ‘I’ve even made a priest question where his loyalties lie’.” Her body was hot, a fire growing in the pit of her stomach. She takes a shallow breath, mouth feeling dry. She was going to have to answer him at some point, situational whiplash or not. She might as well try to level the playing field while she was at it,
“I’ll own up to mine, but not yours.” He chuckles, and it’s deep, ringing in her ears.
“Perhaps we should switch sides of the booth then.” Listening to a hot priest tell her just how into him she was, wasn’t exactly how she’d imagined tonight going. But when she really thought about it, what other way could tonight have gone?
She heard him shifting on his side, before the curtain was being drawn back. And her handsome, well put together priest, was no longer looking quite so put together anymore.
His hair looked like he’d been running his fingers through it, shoulders moving in sync with his breathing as he gripped the side of the booth.
“Lust is a sin too- but sometimes I just can’t help myself.” She swallowed hard at his words, frozen in place as she stared up at him, red eyes burning into her.
“I can always get on my knees, ask god's forgiveness afterwards.”
“Sukuna…” And she’s watching him slowly sink to the floor before her. Even as she looks down at him, she doesn’t get the feeling that she’s the one in charge of this situation. He moves forward, caging her against the back of the booth, his face inches away.
He looks so different from what she normally sees at the coffee shop; lips twitching up in a smirk as he reaches over to caress her cheek. He certainly doesn’t look anything like a priest, let alone a respectable one. He looks devilish, like he’s been waiting for an opportunity to get her here. And she can’t say it’s not exactly where she wants to be.
He leans closer to pull her into a kiss. The first one is slow, tentative, even though they’re both so clearly worked up. Pulling back to look her in the eyes he searches them, before they both crash their lips together.
“Mmm- wait- wait!” She can barely get the words out against his mouth, pressing her hands against his chest. He pulls back, looking at her in concern that he’d over stepped.
“What about- what if someone sees us?” The concern on her face that someone would catch them doing this, and not the fact that they’re still going to, is so cute of her.
“We locked the doors, didn’t we?” He grins and lets out a breathless laugh as the realization crosses her face. The son of a bitch planned this whole thing. He dips back in to claim her lips again, hands traveling down her sides to her ass, sliding her to the edge of the seat.
“From the moment I first laid eyes on you, I knew you’d be the reason.” He’s pressing kisses along her jaw, down her neck, anywhere he can reach.
“What?” She breaths, not really hearing him as her eyelids flutter. She’s too wrapped up in the whole situation, in how soft but firm his palm feels against her face as she leans into his touch. How wrong but right it feels for him to touch her, even just like this.
“Knew I’d stumble,” His thumb traces her bottom lip, tugging it down, and she opens her mouth instinctively. He’s using the grip on her jaw to turn her face to the side, planting kisses below her ear as she shutters, whining at the feeling.
“It’s like you knew, walking into a church wearing a dress. Walking into my church, wearing that dress. Did you wear it because you caught me staring a little longer when you would?” He’s rough, pressing his lips along her neck, across her chest, sucking, biting his way further down her body.
Her head is spinning. This was wrong, wasn’t it? But the fact it was wrong only turned her on more. She’d never wanted, needed, someone to fuck her so badly before. His hands are everywhere, kneading her chest, pinching at her hardening nipples.
“I asked you a question.” Sukuna’s still pinching at her bud, and she can barely concentrate enough to whimper a ‘yes’.
“Yes what?”
“Yes… Yes… I wore it just for you.” He sucks his teeth with a grin.
"Be a good girl and keep your eyes on me, I want to see them.” He pulls away from her and slips further down, running his hands from her knees up her thighs, pushing her dress up as he does. She’s instinctively parting her legs, letting him ghost his lips up the inside of her thigh. Sukuna presses his thumb against the wet spot on her panties, looking up to see her squirming closer as he does.
“Patients is a virtue, sweetheart.” He warns as he drags the lacy fabric down, discarding it off to the side. She huffs with a pout,
He presses his thumb to her clit, rubbing slow circles as she twitches below him.
He rubs a finger through her slick folds, slowly pushing into her. It's easy, she's so wet, whining for him so needily, and he's already working a second one in.
"Eyes on me, you're going to look at me while I make you cry." She could finish right here, he was so calm yet demanding. Scissoring his fingers inside of her he moved his thumb, dropping his mouth over her clit as he sucked.
Her thighs are fighting to close against him as he slides his fingers into her, tongue moving in slow circles. It's cramped in the booth, but Sukuna still finds the space to use his arms to hold her legs open. She's biting her lip so hard as she watches him, body tense. Her grip on his hair is tight, and she doesn't know if she's trying to pull him closer or push him away as the pleasure builds in her abdomen.
Sukuna doesn't stop as he feels every part of her clench, her body rigid and she takes everything he's giving her. He's sucking as he moves his tongue just a little faster, fingers sliding in and out of her slick cunt as he curls them inside of her. Her back arches, legs shaking as her walls clamp down on his fingers, pulsing as her orgasm washes over her. She's gripping his pink hair, trying as hard as she can to keep her eyes on him as he works her through it.
He's watching her with determination, listening to her cry his name, as his cock strained in his pants. With a few more shallow pumps of his fingers he pulls out and she whines.
"Greed is a sin too, sweetheart." He says as he lifts his fingers to his mouth, licking them clean. She breathes in softly as she watches, the low grown leaving his mouth making her stomach flip.
"Taste divine, I'd keep you here for hours if I could." He moans, pressing his mouth to her glistening cunt as he lapped her clean. She cried out at the over stimulation, hands flying to his head, trying to push him away. He simply takes both her wrists in his hand, holding them at bay.
"Try to stop me again, and it'll be a long night for you in this booth." He warns, pulling back to look at her. A rush floods her body at the thought, and he's leaning up to kiss her again. She's eager to return it, lacing her fingers through the hair at his nape.
Sukuna pulls her up on shaky legs, turning them so he can sit down instead, pulling her to straddle him. He presses her down over his clothed bulge, grinding up into her as he pulls away.
"You gonna be a good girl and have a seat?" She whines, grinding right back down onto him with a nod as she runs her hands down his chest, fumbling with his belt. He rubs his hands up and down her sides as she works, whimpers of frustration falling from her lips as she works on his pants.
"Patients is still a virtue." He hums, kissing the side of her neck. She can feel how thick he is even over his pants, but she's not ready for just how thick he actually is when she works him out of his clothes. Her jaw drops with a gasp as she runs her thumb over his slit, already dripping with precum. Sukuna hisses, hand flying down to grip her own.
"I said sit." He says, gripping her hips to lift her over him.
"You're so-"
"I'll fit, don't worry." He soothes as he moves her, rubbing his head between her folds a few times before slowly pulling her down. Her hands fly to his shoulders, gripping tight as he slowly stretches her out, making room for himself as he breaks her open over him.
"Sukuna, Sukuna!" She whimpers.
"You're doing so well, look at you." He praises, brushing his thumb over her cheek. She doesn't think she can take anymore, and yet her walls are practically sucking him further in, begging for more. God no one's ever felt like this before, he filled every space inside of her.
And then the back of her thighs are flush against his own, as he slowly rocks into her.
"That wasn't so hard, was it?" He coos, and she shakes her head, mind already hazy from the pleasure.
"No." She whimpers, and rolls her hips with a cry.
"Fuck you're so much." She sobs, body shaking.
"Yeah? But you're going to take it." And he's pulling out, only to slam back up into her. She screams, nails digging into his arms as he holds her. He sets a steady pace, and after the first few thrusts she starts to move too, bouncing herself over him, pushing him further into her tight heat everytime their hips meet.
Sukuna pulls the top of her dress down, sucking a nipple into his mouth. All she can do is moan and grind harder down into him. Looking down between them she watches as he disappears into her, and it should be terrifying, just how much of him there is- yet she's accommodating every thick inch. And then she sees it when he pulls away from her chest- the bulge in her lower abdomen. She takes a shaken breath, and presses down on it.
“Oh my god fuck!” she whines, throwing her head back as her legs shake.
“When I’m this deep in you, the only God you should be crying for is me.” Sukuna growls, fingers digging into her sides to hold her in place as he fucked up into her. She clenched around him at his words and he grinned.
“Oh she liked that, did she?”
“Sukuna-! Fuck I’m gonna cum!” She cried, nails digging into his arms. He drank in the way she looked, jaw dropped in a silent moan, lip quivering. He wasn’t going to last much longer either, with the way her walls fluttered around him, sucking him deeper with every thrust.
“Where should I-”
“Fuck- inside, I don’t care just please-” She was shaking her head, rolling her hips into him as she babbled. Sukuna gripped her chin, forcing her attention on him.
“Say it again, like you mean it. Like you want it.”
“Please Sukuna, finish inside me. Wanna feel you inside me!” Her walls clamped down hard around him as she cried. He lifted a hand to wrap it behind her head, pulling her forehead against his own.
“There it is, take it. Be a good girl and cum for me.” He growled, watching as she came undone before him; jaw dropped in a silent moan as she pulsed around him. Sukuna fucked her through her orgasm, sending him right over the edge into his own. She whined at the feeling of him painting her insides in hot spurts, grinding further into him as they both pant.
It was quiet, aside from their breathing as they came down from the high, lustful haze being left behind. She cleared her throat, realizing they’d have to clean up the mess that was going to drip out of her.
“Well…” She started, beginning to pull back when Sukuna stopped her.
“Where do you think you’re going?” The question takes her aback as she stutters for an answer.
“I just- I thought- the mess…?” He grins lazily up at her, swiping a thumb over her bottom lip.
“Did you really think I brought you here just for one fuck?”
“Technically you brought me here over coffee.” She giggled, leaning into his palm.
“Leave your wallet at home more often then.” He demands, and she swallows hard, gasping as he bucks up into her again.

Daddy's Girl (Sukuna x FemChildReader [familial]) HCs
So reader is some little girl that curiously ate Sukuna's finger. This leads to the King of curses accidentally adopting you, --some dumb, fatherless kid. Lmao
Fluff cuz i want soft wholesome sukuna and no, i'm not projecting. Stop thinking that, no one will ever believe you 🔫🙃
Not proof-read but still good, if i say so myself ;>
==================================
-When he first comes into your mind, he's shook for a moment then appalled the next.
-"Out of all the humans in this world, it's this weakling i've coveted."
-rolls his eyes and tries to rethunk how he'll ever come to his true form from a puny girl such as yourself.
-Dw tho, he thinks your funny. As in he thinks you're a dumbass when he watches you go about your daily life.
-Pops in from your cheek to tell you to watch where you're going when you almost walked into a lamp pole, or a bustling street of cars.
-Calls you "brat" and "dumb/foolish girl," followed by an unecessarily berating comment.
-Eventually, that sensitive part of you kicks in at times and his words get to you. You're just a kid after all. So now he's forced to do things he wouldn't usually do:
-"Stop crying, it's boring and the noise is unpleasant." He'd grumble in your head, noting to ease up on his words. For his sake, of course.
-There was a time when you had a nightmare of your father's passing. Your cries were so unpleasant that Sukuna had to make a visit into your little night terror.
-When you see him there, you run to him for a hug. Not thinking twice about wrapping your arms around him securely for comfort.
-Stiffens when he feels your little arms around him. He does notice that your crying stopped so he let's you. He just wants some quiet time, is all.
-When you finally calm, he tries to put your conciousness to rest. Only for you to end up falling asleep with his fingers held by your hand.
-Later calls you things like, "Little one" or "Child," in a stern manner. He's just doing that to belittle you so you always know you're place.
-You accidentally called him "Papa" once, and he's accidentally surprised, and accidentally didn't hate it.
-He did however hate when Gojo found out about you and took you in. Making sure to grumble about every little thing he does for you.
-When you're going about your little elementary day, he reminds you to pay attention.
-Helps you with homework. He says it's because he's proving he's superior to Gojo as a mentor, not because he cares about you.
-Could never find it in his cold, dead beat heart to hurt you. Quite the opposite actually, would rather carry you away securely in his arms as those who even thought of hurting you, burns away behind his back.
-He figures after he returns to his final form, he'll keep you. Only because he tolerates you, his little girl amusing nuisance. Nothing more.
==================================
I'm baaack y'all :D
Winter break is around the corner and i finally have the brain to write again. I've actually never sat and watched the Jjk anime lol
Maybe in the break, I will.

Tumblr media
Yuuji looked at you with a sideways glance trying to figure out why you were acting out all day and even through the night until you two both settled into bed for the evening, giving him an attitude in secret hope the other person inhabiting his body would come out and play, his head cocked to the side looking at you as you sat on his lap.
“Is there anything you need?” He asked with worry in his voice while you trailed your fingers up his chest before settling both hands on his broad shoulders while straddling him.
“Let him come out and play.” You whispered a little embarrassed that you want what people call Yuuji’s demon to show himself and play with you like a rag doll, the type of spirit most don’t want to play with but you don’t mind getting a little burnt playing with fire if it meant that you get what you wanted.
Yuuji’s eyes went wide and he shook his head wildly. “No, it’s dangerous and you could end up hurt like the last time, he made you cry. Remember?” He asked with a frown not able to stomach the idea of it happening again, but it really didn’t matter to him, it was all up to Sukuna.
“You can still control him, right?” You asked sweetly. Yuuji sighed, debating on what to do for several minutes as he chewed on his bottom lip in deep thought on how to handle the situation, he knew you loved him more than anything but what was so great about the other side of him?
You love Yuuji and how sweet he really is, he treated you like a gentleman all the time, doting on you and just being himself, which you adored, of course. But a few weeks ago, Sukuna made a surprise appearance while you and Yuuji made love, and it soon turned into him leaving you in a crying, babbling mess, covered in cum and bite marks that are still healing all over your body where anyone can see and it opened a new side of you that craved that attention.
A mouth appeared on Yuuji’s cheek and Sukuna spoke in that low, seductive voice paired with a deep cackle at the end.
“Come on, let’s teach this heifer a lesson.” His words stung, being referred to as a heifer.
“Did you just call me a cow?” You asked stunned with your eyes wide as you stared at the pair of lips with pointy teeth hiding, just waiting to sink into your flesh.
Yuuji slapped his hand over his cheek but another mouth grew on the back of that one with a wicked smile and sharp canine teeth shining. “Is that what you want?” Sukuna asked, you looked up at your boyfriend, who had a pained expression. “A heifer is a young female calf that has yet to be bred and since you haven’t been properly bred I think it’s time we fix that.” His tone was smug as his tongue lolled out, licking his lips before wiggling at you.
“No.” You hesitated for only a brief second and looked away feeling a burn of humiliation and desire pulling and tangling together creating a ball of tension between your legs, your boyfriend could be a bit rougher but that wasn’t who he was and you’d never ask him to change either.
He sighed and both mouths disappeared. You kissed him on his cheek and smiled replaying what Sukuna said. “He’s an asshole anyway, what do you say we go back to the living room and watch some TV?” You asked. After his nod, you twisted to get off his lap but felt nails dig into your waist, keeping you against him. Looking up, you already knew you would see Sukuna’s devilish smile, the dark marks adorning his skin, red eyes, and sharp teeth, and knew it was too late, he was fully in control now.
“Ah, ah, ah. Where do you think you’re going? You’re about to get what you wanted and since I’m such an asshole maybe I should fuck yours.” In a quick motion and with really no effort on his part from his sheer strength, Sukuna had you pinned to the bed with your hands above your head. Your wrists were crushed in his tight grip while his other yanked down your shorts, leaving your bottom half bare to the cool air of the room and making you shiver.
“You’ve been getting on my nerves all day with your whining and bitching, your mouth would look better wrapped around my cock instead of flapping about useless shit so now you’re going to take what I give you, do you understand me?” He asked using a hand to squish your cheeks together making you nod your head with a sadistic grin.
“Yes, sir.” You choked out, Sukuna laughed while roughly pushing your legs open with his knees. His free hand ghosted over your stomach, lifting your shirt up and running his sharp nails over the flesh making you shiver under his touch. You couldn’t help but watch as another pair of arms sprouted from his sides with a sick tear that finally made you look away until one of the newly formed hands gripped your jaw, forcing your head straight. His eyes glowed as he stared down at you.
“You’re so damn needy you know that? All that insistent bitching all day for this and you’re not even that wet. Pathetic.” He thrust his fingers inside your slick pussy, making you cry out and thrash in his hold. You watched as he opened the mouth on his palm, his long tongue lolling out and drooling over his hand and your cunt, covering it with spit and using it as a crude lube.
A small whimper left your lips, catching his attention. His new hands were now cupping and squeezing your breasts, palming using the mouths that formed to suck the pebbled buds, then dragged his fingers over your nipples, stopping to pinch them in time with the strokes of his fingers that were sliding in and out of you with his hand still holding your jaw, giving it a dull ache.
Bending down, he opened his mouth and roughly parted your lips with his tongue. Spit coated your chin along with his while he continued the fast pace of his fingers. “Ah, see you’re getting wet just like I knew you would since the last time I fucked you.”
His lips moved from yours to your shoulder, where he sunk his sharp teeth into the tender flesh, tearing a ragged scream from you. He lapped at the blood-forming from the wound. His tongue felt rough and so did his fingers that found your g-spot and bullied with intense pressure that felt like he was trying to reach your womb.
He moved away from the first bite mark and suckled on your collarbone, his teeth grazing but not biting yet.
He let go of your jaw and wrists. At this point, you were confused about how many arms and hands he had now while feeling your orgasm rush over you, the feeling made your head swim with a hazy pleasure but you weren’t allowed to cum yet and he ripped it away from you.
“Not yet,” Sukuna said removing his slick-covered fingers, wiping them over your lips before plunging the digits into your mouth. “Suck.”
Obeying his commands, you hollowed your cheeks and sucked on his fingers, his red eyes narrowed and watched. His cock twitched in his pants but he ignored it for the time being because he wasn’t done with you. You are his favorite toy after all, and while he doesn’t really care for your own need to cum having your pussy slick and dripping made it easier for him.
Suddenly you were empty and Sukuna was flipping you around roughly to your stomach, grabbing your hips, and pulling your ass high in the air. “This is for acting up earlier.” He said as his hand came down slapping your ass cheek. The sting caused you to yelp and tears welled in your eyes as he landed another sharp smack watching the flesh jiggle.
“Count for me, my little plaything.”
Smack.
“One.”
Smack.
“Two.”
Smack.
“Th-three.”
When he finished the last slap he chuckled, spreading your ass and forming a tongue on his hands, running it over your clit and massaging it to hear you moan. He pulled away again, hearing you now sigh in disappointment, which made him happy with sick delight.
“Do you like being spanked?” He asked with a chuckle but you didn’t answer fast enough, one hand came down again, grabbing the back of your neck and pressing your head into the mattress, making you squeal.
“Squealing like a little fucking pig, but remember I’m going to breed you like a cow.” His harsh voice in your ear made you quiver. Moving away from you to soothe away the stinging on your ass, he pressed his lips against the red marks, kissing away the pain but something deep inside you told you that he was only warming up and was going to destroy you.
And just like that, he sunk his teeth in, drawing blood again.
“I wonder how your cum and blood would taste mixed together.” He wondered out loud with a laugh that both made your stomach curl and cunt clench.
His tongue darted between your lips, sloppily eating you out and making loud slurping noises with crude laughter as he passed your clit, teasing you with the threat of more pain keeping you on the edge of your orgasm, he was having fun with this, and enjoyed it thoroughly.
Your hands gripped the pillow, scared to move because you don’t think you were ready to be spanked like that again, so you kept still as his mouth brought you to orgasm, your walls fluttering as you gushed in his mouth, the mixture of your blood and cum coated Sukuna’s tongue.
He flipped you to your back again using his four arms. “Open your mouth.” You parted your lips slowly, he moved from his position and hovered above you. With mixed horror and desire, you watched as he dropped the blood-tinged cum in your mouth before slapping your cheek, not hard enough to sting, it was more of a condescending action.
“Swallow, I know how much you like that.” Sukuna told you with a smirk.
He watched you swallow, as he patted your head, “You’re such a good bitch, aren’t you?”
“Yes, sir.”
“I like how obedient you are, like a well-trained dog. Those get bred too, so either way, you look at it, I’m going to double-breed you.” His voice was now sinister, even though he praised you at the beginning it only ended in degradation.
Leaning down, he kissed you again, not giving you a chance to answer his brutal words, his tongue dipping in your mouth while his hands groped and squeezed your breasts unable to help himself, your tits and pussy have to be his favorite part of you, your mouth produces too much noise for his liking.
“I swear if Yuuji doesn’t let me come out to fuck you once in a while, I might just kill him.” He said pulling away, watching the saliva bridge between your lips with a smirk gracing his.
“What?” You asked panicked with wide eyes as you struggled under him, his entire massive weight was pinning you to the mattress. Sukuna threw his head back and laughed.
“Don’t worry. I won’t kill your boyfriend anytime soon, I still need him around. Plus, you’re a pleasant bonus.”
You sighed but still feared for Yuuji. Suddenly you felt awful that you asked him to even bring Sukuna out in the first place.
“Aw, are you going to cry and pout now?” He asked mocking you.
“No...”
“Good, I only like to see you cry when you’re sucking my dick or you’re so overstimulated you can’t even talk. Speaking of which...”
He dug his nails into your shoulder and moved you from your position so he could take it himself, lying down on his back. He yanked his pants down, exposing two long, thick cocks which throbbed and leaked with pre-cum pearling at the tip, they were bigger than you’ve ever seen. Before he instructed you, you kneeled between his legs titling your head to take one cock, grasping the base of the top dick that felt warm, hot and heavy in your palm as you stared down at angry tip.
“I don’t have all day.” He bit the words out.
Opening your mouth, you swallowed him while hollowing your cheeks. Already fed up with your pace, Sukuna grabbed both sides of your head and bobbed your mouth up and down his cock at his own leisure. It was fast and brutal; you’re pretty sure your throat was going to be bruised tomorrow. You wrapped your hand around his other cock, jerking it off in order to keep him appeased.
He hissed your name, feeling your throat close around him. Looking down, he saw you crying, which only egged him on more so he thrust his hips upward, meeting your mouth. He moaned heavily before releasing thick ribbons of cum in your mouth.
“Keep my cum in your mouth. I’m going to fuck you until I cum again, then you can swallow it., Do you understand me?” He pulled your head up. The sight of your cheeks bloated with his cum dribbling from the corners of your mouth, and your eyes wet from the tears had his cocks hard again.
He laid you down again with both legs thrown over his shoulder, keeping them spread as wide as he could get them pressed to your chest putting your cunt on display for his sick and twisted pleasure, he pressed against your pussy and the tight hole below with slow strokes up and down, rubbing the heads against both of them and watching them flutter. He leaned into land a glob of spit, watching it roll down as he slowly inched in, stuffing you deep and full.
A low moan escaped his mouth, but you struggled, trying not to swallow his load which began to gurgle when he picked up the pace, fucking you the hardest you’ve ever been fucked. His hands stayed on your breasts throughout it all, pulling you into each thrust.
He placed his mouths on his palms and wherever he could sprout them all over your neck and shoulders and chest, leaving deep bruises so everyone could see that he left his mark. You tried to moan around the cum in your mouth but you couldn’t,  so you only hoped he would cum soon.
The sound and smell of heavy sex permeated the room while the bed creaked below you both.
“Fuck!” Sukuna growled deeply, feeling you cream on his cock, the thin flesh between his dicks rubbed against each other, making his balls tighten. Your eyes rolled in the back of your head when he stopped and pulled you closer to him pumping you so full of hot cum that he watched it drip out for a few seconds before he scooped it up.
He spread it all over the soft lips of your cunt and thighs before sliding his fingers covered in the sticky substance back inside you with a grin, covering and making sure you were stuffed and covered with his seed. Once he came, you swallowed and gasped for air, chest heavily erratically as you caught your breath.
As soon as Sukuna came, Yuuji regained control shaking his head and blinking a few times as he looked down at you, covered in cum, sweat, blood, tears, and bite marks with shaky legs.
“Are you okay?” He asked sweetly cupping your cheek and looking over your bruised body.
“Y-yes, I’m going to get in the s-shower.” You whispered unable to look at him in the eyes, there was guilt that nipped at your heels knowing you wanted to do this again.
Yuuji helped you stand on jelly legs and walked you to the shower where he joined you and made sure to take his time to clean you up the best he could cursing himself for letting Sukuna have control over him, and it made him wonder a bit if you liked his other side more than him.

how do you think uraume would react to reader? because I think their interaction, with or without sukuna, would be really funny.
oooooooooo!!! i kinda feel like this would actually be a bit of a heated moment???? maybe i'm just a uraume hater tho lmao
tags/warnings: cursing. protective!sukuna. 400 words.
you and sukuna are sitting so closely that your thigh is pressed to his, even though the park bench you're both occupying offers more than enough space.
there's a chill in the air, but your hands are wrapped around a cup of hot chocolate, something sukuna insisted you get to help you stay warm.
you're prattling on about the manga you just finished, and he's asking you questions every now and then. it's something you appreciate, because while you know the actual story does little to interest him, he still cares about it because you do.
suddenly the chill in the air seems to intensify and your words die in your throat when someone materializes in front of you.
"sukuna-sama."
"...uraume?"
they're gazing at sukuna so intently and their eyes seem to glint upon hearing their name from his lips. looking between the two of them, you try to recover from your initial shock.
"sama?" you question, your voice laced with humor. "you?"
uraume's gaze lands on you for the first time, and you realize that they hardly noticed you were even there until now.
"you dare question sukuna-sama's nobility and power?" they sneer, flames dancing in their irises. "when you are nothing more than a mortal i could easily crush?"
just as you register that this situation is not one which calls for thoughtless quips, sukuna is gone from your side.
his body moves in front of yours protectively, easily knocking away uraume's outstretched hand.
his voice is resolute when he speaks. "she is not to be touched."
sukuna had valued uraume's unyielding loyalty in the past, but with you in the picture, all it does is serve to evoke his nerves.
immediately, uraume's knee meets with the ground as they kneel before him. "i apologize, master, for i was not aware."
despite their words, you still feel the hair on the back of your neck stand up. their irritation and jealousy over being scolded because of a human seeps from their body and mingles with yours.
your hands grips sukuna's arm as you peer around his side and nervously apologize. "s-sorry. i was just joking around—"
"not helping," sukuna sighs.
"right!" you squeak, disappearing behind his broad back once more.
though his cautious eyes do not leave uraume, sukuna reaches for your hand and gives it a reassuring squeeze.
he can't help but wonder why now, of all times, his past has decided to catch up to him.
Tumblr media
hehheheh thank you for asking this nonnie! i do think there would be quite a bit of humor between these two once they become acclimated to each other.
it would definitely take uraume forever to warm up to reader, especially since reader likes to poke fun sm, but they'd never outwardly show it bc they can't bear the thought of displeasing sukuna.
then the day that uraume finally banters back with reader she'd be over the moon about it lmfao bc i think she'd kinda make it her mission to be friends w them and acclimate them to the modern age.
i'm also thinking about how uraume's eyes would absolutely bulge out of their head when they realize what's contained in reader's necklace.

rizzless sukuna pt 3
FINALLY!! i've finished it. it's much longer than i planned but what're you gonna do?? lmao happy late late valentines day everyone! have a sukufushi date
@nessieartss you wanted me to tag you so here i am tagging you!
part 1 | part 2
---
Sukuna hasn't been able to stop thinking about his date.
Yes, it's only been about two hours since he and Megumi have set up their date, but that doesn't mean that Sukuna can't be excited. He's never had a date before (if that wasn’t obvious by the way he totally fucked up his pickup line). It’s a mystery why Megumi had even agreed.
After the initial excitement had worn off, Sukuna found himself wondering if Megumi only said yes out of pity, even if he had been amused by Sukuna's fuck-up.
But as soon as the thoughts came, he pushed them away because since when does Sukuna think about the consequences of his actions? He should be thinking about what the hell they're gonna do for this date.
Sukuna had half the mind to ask Maki what they should do, whether she had any suggestions about what Megumi might like, but then he remembered the “advice” she'd given him earlier and a scowl came to his face. Even if it had worked, he refused to send her a text.
“Hey, Sukuna!”
The older boy looks up at the sound of his name, seeing Yuuji making his way over with a grin on his face. He doesn't allow Sukuna to speak before he nudges his brother with an elbow. “We should go to that new Boba place! Gojo told me that the Mango flavor is amazing—”
“No—”
“What do you mean ‘no’?” Yuuji pulls away, looking affronted. “You don't wanna spend time with your favorite brother?” He gives Sukuna his best puppy eyes, sticking out his bottom lip for added effect.
Sukuna rolls his eyes and pushes Yuuji's face away from him. “Well if you'd let me finish my damn sentence,” he grunts. “Not today, I have plans.”
Yuuji snorts. “Plans? Doing what? Throwing rocks at police cars?”
“None of your business,” the older boy replies with a sniff, keeping his face impassive. Yuuji opens his mouth but Sukuna already knows what he's going to ask. “And no you cannot come with.”
“What? Why not?” He pouts once again.
“Because.” That's all Sukuna says. He pulls out his phone and checks his messages. His heart does a stupid little flip when he sees Megumi's name on a notification, letting Sukuna know that he's reached the spot where they're supposed to meet up. Sukuna responds to let him know that he's on his way.
Putting his phone back into his pocket, he reaches out and ruffles Yuuji's hair, earning an annoyed grunt from his brother. “See ya later.”
Sukuna turns on his heel and heads in the direction of where Megumi is waiting, missing the intrigued look on his brother's face.
The closer he gets, the faster his heart starts to beat and Sukuna runs a hand through his hair. Briefly, he stops himself before he rounds the corner just dust himself off and shake out his hands as if it might get rid of the anxiety that he’s feeling. Once again, he pushes his hair back and takes a deep breath.
Rounding the corner, the corner of his mouth lifts up when he sees Megumi waiting patiently, scrolling through his phone. He looks up at the sound of footsteps and he immediately pockets his phone when he sees that it’s Sukuna. A small smile comes to his face.
“Hey,” Sukuna greets.
Megumi replies with a “hey” of his own.
Silence stretches out between them and if it were anyone else, Sukuna would be inclined to laugh at just how fucking awkward it is. He really didn’t think this through.
Megumi doesn’t seem to mind however and asks, “So, where are we going?”
“How about that new Boba place?” Sukuna suggests.
“Sure. Better to go with you than be dragged along by Gojo. He was late to class this morning because he was getting a drink there.” Megumi shakes his head and Sukuna huffs.
The two of them turn to begin walking in the direction of the Boba shop which Sukuna realizes that he has no idea where it is. Hopefully Megumi knows where they’re going. The older boy would hate to make himself look like an even bigger fool by getting them lost.
As they walk, the two of them make small talk and Sukuna finds it easier to keep up a conversation with Megumi than anyone that isn’t Yuuji; he feels his anxiety melting away by the minute. There’s still something nagging at him in the back of his mind that Megumi is only humoring him, but Sukuna ignores it, as he does with most of his internal turmoils.
When they arrive at the shop, Megumi and Sukuna reach for the door handle simultaneously, their fingers brushing. Both pull away instantly, eyes wide as they meet each other's gaze. There's a pink blush dusting over Megumi’s cheekbones and Sukuna's brain short circuits at how cute he looks. The thought alone makes Sukuna's ears burn and he clears his throat, forcing himself to look away.
They both hesitate only to reach for the door at the same time, again, both retracting their hands before they can touch again. This time, Sukuna does chuckle at how ridiculous they're being, trying his best to ignore how fucking adorable Megumi is with his cheeks red (and ignore how his fingers are still tingling after he and Megumi barely touched). He grabs the door handle to yank it open much harder than necessary.
He gestures for Megumi to enter first and Megumi nods, stepping around Sukuna quickly to enter the shop. Sukuna shakes his head at himself, pressing his hand to his chest, willing his heart to slow the fuck down. He's on a date, not running a fucking marathon!
Stepping up next to Megumi, Sukuna looks over the menu, briefly considers asking Yuuji to recommend a flavor, but immediately brushes that thought aside. He would not hear the end of it considering he just turned his brother down to come here. Now Sukuna is on a date with his little brother's best friend at the shop that Yuuji wanted to come to.
Megumi and Sukuna step up to the counter, and as Megumi gives the person at the register his drink order, Sukuna is already pulling out his wallet and card before the other boy can even think about paying. The second the barista gives the total, Sukuna is tapping his card on the terminal screen. When he glances over, Megumi looks unimpressed.
“Hey, I asked you out first,” Sukuna points out as they find a table to wait at. “It's common courtesy that I pay.”
“Then I suppose I'll have to pay for next time,” Megumi hums, a smirk playing on his lips.
Sukuna feels his heart flutter in his chest and he internally scowls at himself for such a stupid reaction; what is he? Some little school girl?
Grow up, Sukuna, he scoffs at himself mentally.
He hates that the idea of a second date gets him so excited.
“Bold of you to assume you'd wanna go out with me again,” Sukuna responds with a quirk of his lips.
Megumi arches an eyebrow, leaning forward. He rests his arms on the table. “Why wouldn't I?”
Sukuna drums his fingers on the table, holding Megumi’s gaze. “Well for starters, I'm an asshole.”
“Yeah,” Megumi nods.
“I'm also Yuuji's older brother.”
Again, Megumi nods. “Correct.”
“Gojo doesn't like me. Or rather, I don't like him.”
Megumi snorts. “Gojo enjoys having you at the school. He just thinks you're fun to tease.”
Sukuna pauses momentarily. “He's a terrible influence on Yuuji,” he grumbles.
This time, Megumi laughs, tucking his face into the collar of his school uniform. The sound makes Sukuna's chest grow warm and he wants to hear that sound again. Who knew such a pretty sounding laugh could come from Megumi Fushiguro?
“That is very true,” Megumi sighs once he's finished laughing.
Sukuna gets to his feet when their names are called for their drinks, and he’s thankful for the out to give himself a moment to take in a deep breath, to regulate himself before going back to the table. He slides Megumi’s drink across the table and watches as the younger boy easily stabs his straw through the top of his drink and takes a sip. For a second, Sukuna is so transfixed on watching Megumi’s Adam’s apple bob that he doesn’t register the fact that he’s being spoken to.
“Huh?”
Megumi huffs in amusement. “I was asking why you asked me on a date.”
“Oh,” Sukuna breathes. He blinks and rubs the back of his neck. With his free hand, he takes his straw and stabs it into his own drink so that he can take a sip, stalling for more time to try and give an answer that wouldn’t sound stupid. “I don’t know.”
Perfect. Great answer you fucking loser, Sukuna  tells himself.
“I, uh, well—” He stutters over his words, making himself look like an even bigger fool. The biggest fool in the Goddamn world. He’s reminding himself of Yuuji at this exact moment. “I’ve been thinking about it and, uh, ah fuck.” Finally he gives up and leans back in his chair, rubbing his hands over his face.
“I just wanted to and Maki told me to just do it,” Sukuna says, his words muffled by his palms. By now, the tips of his ears are red and he’s sure that his face is the same. Dropping his hands, he continues staring at the ceiling before looking back at his date.
An amused smirk spreads over Megumi’s mouth and he snorts. “You asked Maki for advice?”
Sukuna takes a sip from his drink as his other hand runs through his hair (he needs to break this habit sooner than later). He scowls, more at himself than at Megumi as he says, “Listen, it’s not my proudest moment, but I’ve never done this before—”
“What?” Megumi gasps dramatically (or as dramatically as Megumi can be), interrupting Sukuna. “Date Man has never had a date before?”
“No,” Sukuna grunts, “and why do you keep calling me Date Man?”
Megumi simply shrugs in response.
“If I'm Date man, that means you’re Raisin Boy,” the older boy decides with a firm nod. This earns an amused snort from Megumi who doesn't disagree.
They go back to sitting in silence again, sipping their drinks. Thankfully, the other boy speaks up first.
“Are you as big of a movie buff as your brother?” Megumi asks.
Sukuna looks up. “Only by association,” he replies. “If he's not watching with his Junpei friend then he's forcing me to watch them.” A pause to take a sip of his drink. “Though, I do love a good horror movie; it's my favorite genre.”
Perking up in his seat, Megumi leans forward a little. “What's your favorite horror movie?”
“'The Exorcist'. A classic.” Sukuna kisses his fingers. When his eyes land on Megumi again, the other boy has a look on his face that says he doesn't agree. Arching an eyebrow, Sukuna asks, “What?”
Megumi gives a lame, one-shouldered shrug. “It's alright.”
Sukuna gapes at him, jaw dropping slightly and he blinks, shaking his head. “Alright? What do you mean ‘it's alright’?”
“It's alright,” Megumi repeats while he mixes his drink. “I'll agree with you that it's a classic.”
There's a pause and Sukuna waits for him to continue, but he doesn't. Sukuna gestures for Megumi to continue.
“I just think 'The Conjuring' is better.”
A loud laugh escapes from Sukuna's mouth and he claps a hand over his mouth. He clears his throat, glancing around to see if anyone noticed. Turning back to his date, he folds his arms and rests them on the table.
“You're just saying that,” Sukuna decides, eyeing Megumi over. “There's no way you think 'The Conjuring' is better.”
Megumi almost looks offended. “It is better. I prefer the first movie out of all of them, but I'm not too picky. Not to mention they're based on true stories and I'm a fan of nonfiction.”
“'The Exorcist' is based off of a true story,” Sukuna points out.
“Very loosely,” Megumi retorts. “Don't get me wrong, the actress who played the little girl—”
“Linda Blair—”
“—did a fantastic job, as did the actress who played her mother—”
“Ellen Burstyn,” Sukuna supplies helpfully.
Megumi smirks at him. “Not a big movie buff, huh?” he teases.
All Sukuna can do is shrug. “It's my favorite horror movie. I've done my research, alright?”
Shaking his head, the other continues, “but with that being said, I think the plot of 'The Conjuring' is better. It's more suspenseful. Keeps you on your toes. Nothing terribly exciting happens in 'The Exorcist' until the last 20 minutes of the movie or so.” Seeing unimpressed look on Sukuna's face, Megumi asks, “When is the last time you saw 'The Conjuring'?”
Sukuna thinks for a moment.
When is the last time he's seen that movie? Yuuji isn't much of a horror fan, and recently, Sukuna has been busy dealing with his stupid feelings and training that he had really watched any movies.
“It's been a minute,” he finally says.
The corner of Megumi’s mouth twitches up. “Maybe we should get together again and watch them back to back, you know, to see which one truly is better.”
The suggestion throws Sukuna through a loop and his brain stops thinking for a second. His heart skips a beat in his chest, his stomach twisting into knots and he wants to punch the table for getting so giddy. He can't stop the smile that comes to his face.
“It's a date… Raisin Boy.”

Keep it Lowkey
Sukuna x Reader
Prompt: “Be as quiet as you can ‘cause if anyone sees they’ll just blow shit up” - Lowkey by NIKI
Words count: 1.1k
Tags: bodyguard!sukuna x Popstar!reader, fluff, coworkers to lovers (????), just pure indulgence, pure fluff
Rambling: it’s a little fluffy Sukuna fic inspired by “lowkey”-NIKI. Full fantasizing. I’m writing while I still have the time lmao. If i was in this situation, my brain would become mush.
Tumblr media
Note to self: get a new bodyguard. You mentally note as you stare at Sukuna, your current bodyguard, in all his glory. You have to fire him. He’s not bad at this job by any means. On the contrary, he’s excellent at his job. With his nearly 7ft build, his… well trained body, and his tattoos, he looks very intimidating. Ever since your team hired him, you have encountered much much less crazy fans, in fact you feel safe enough to post pictures while on vacations instead of having to wait until you’re back at home to post them. But lately, he has been a distraction to your work.
You didn’t pay much attention to Sukuna when your security team first introduced him to you. You were too busy prepping for your performance at a music festival. You just greeted him quickly, thanked him for joining the team, and hurried on stage. Sukuna has been working for you for about 2 years now, and you hate it. You hate it because you’re pinning after your bodyguard. And the smug fucker knows it.
The way he smirks at you when he shields you from the flashing light of cameras. The way his hand casually grazes your back and hip, lingering a little longer than he should but not long enough to be noticeable. The way he leans in a little too close to whisper in your ears about potential danger in a large crowd. This fucker know how his actions make you blushing and knees weak. He knows and he’s teasing you.
“Take a picture, it’ll last longer.” Sukuna teases, snapping you out of your train of thoughts.
“Why would I need to take a picture of someone I've been seeing everyday for 2 years? I’m tired of seeing your face.” you reply nonchalantly, redirecting your focus on the notebook in your lap. You’re currently in the artist lounge, alone with Sukuna. The music show won’t start for another 3 hours, but you like to be early. You’re waiting on your makeup artist as you work on writing another song for your album, but it’s looking hopeless ‘cause you have no clue what to write.
“The way you’ve been staring at me says otherwise, Little Star.” Sukuna pressed on with a smirk.
“Please, do tell, how have I been staring at you?” You said sarcastically. Closing your notebook, you ain’t getting anything done with Sukuna in the same room as you. You get up to pour yourself a glass of wine that the music show provides to its VIP artists.
“Like you’re mentally undressing me in your head. I’m surprised none of your fans or paparazzi notice it.” He shrugged. Sukuna eyes your form as you pour your wine. You look good enough to devour, he thinks. The sparkly, skimpy outfit leaves little for the imagination.
“Because I’m a professional, Sukuna.” you side-eyes him, sipping on your wine.
“Oh, so you do undress me with your eyes” Sukuna is full on smirking now. You fucked up.
As your mind races to find a good response to his remark, you feel a pair of arms snaking around your waist. You look up to see Sukuna towering over you. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. This isn’t good, your heart is beating too loud, you feel like even he can hear it. Your mind is turning white. You want to run away right this second. You feel like a mouse being trapped under a tiger’s paw.
“Come on, Little Star. You could’ve been more honest with yourself… With me…” His voice dropped to a low volume, you can feel the rumbling of his chest, he leaned down to whisper into your ear. “Come on now, what do you want?”
His breath fanned your ears and your brain short circuit. This isn’t good. This is down right dangerous. You can feel your self restraint slipping. “Whatever deity above, whoever you are, give me power.”. Clearly whatever deity above is not on your side because you can’t take your eyes off the way his collarbone look at this angle. Now that he’s leaning down to your height, you are finally able to see the way the muscles on his shoulder flex with his arm on your hip. His tone biceps. And oh god, his chest, they look so incredibly⸻
“Come on, Little Star, tell me.”
You feel his lip nibbling on your ear. You’re done for.
“Y-y-you. I want you.” you are barely able to choke out. There is no turning back now.
“That’s more like it.” Sukuna breathes out right before he presses his lips against yours.
You melt into him as soon as your lips make contact with his. Your knees finally give out under you, if not for his hands that were on your waist, you would be on the ground. He holds you up and against his body and you wrap your legs around his torso. His hand moves from your waist to your thigh so he can hold you up better.
Your hand slides from shoulders to his nape to the back of his head, tugging on his hair as you kiss him back. He kisses you like your lips are the sweetest nectar and he’s a starved man.  Hungrily, ferociously, desperately. His hand glides from your thigh to your ass, slipping under your skimpy stage outfit. If Sukuna could have it his way, he would tear the outfit off of you right then and there. But that could wait till after the music show.
You don’t know how long you were kissing him. It felt like time stopped. The world stopped. There is no one else but him, nothing else but his kiss. So this is what you've been denying yourself of for so long. Sukuna was right, you should’ve been more honest. You hate that he's right.
A knock on the door, snap you both out of the haze. Your makeup artist. You forgot that you were waiting for her. In fact, you forgot you were at a music show and is about to go on stage. The thing this man does to you. He’s dangerous.
“We’ll continue this later. I’ll let you undress me with your hands this time.” He said with a smirk as blood rushed to your cheeks and ears, tinting them red.
Sukuna leans down to give you a quick peck on your forehead before turning around to open the door for your makeup artist.
Maybe you don’t need to fire him after all. You’ll have to keep your relationship a secret though, if you want to keep your fan base. It’s not easy being famous. Fortunately, like you said, you’re a professional.

sometimes you’re a bit intimidated by his eyes
i mean, he’s surely studying your appearance with all those eye balls
he’s always complaining about every kind of life form and when it comes to you he always goes “do i need to get rid of these people so you can enjoy your time here?” or “can you really stand their presences?”

Uh? It’s CANON Gojo and geto saw each other as BROTHERS.
alright I’m gonna answer this now lmao — I think with fiction everyone is entitled to their own take on things but with gojo and geto I believe the two to be soulmates — whether it’s platonic or romantic —
I personally see it as romantic, but if you don’t that’s completely fine and I’m not here to force my opinion onto you — it was in the tags — you don’t like, don’t read it! That simple.
I mean I could explain to you why I see it as romantic —
gojo calls geto his “one and only,”
the button left behind when geto defects is his second button that gojo ends up with — the button often given in Japanese culture to romantic partners / interests,
gojo literally says, when he sees kenjaku in geto’s body, “I know in my soul you’re not suguru geto” even in the English dub they localized is as “in my heart and soul,”
to add to that, kenjaku’s whole plan hinged on gojo freaking out upon seeing geto’s body — gojo is someone who is always very calm — he only gets emotional when it comes to geto. literally itadori dies and megumi got taken over Sukuna and he stays completely calm (for the most part), nothing in comparison in his reactions to geto’s defection or kenjaku
geto’s body literally fights back against kenjaku when trying to hurt gojo — and kenjaku has been alive since the heian era at least, and he says he’s never seen that happen before — what that says about their connection is pretty clear cut in my opinion.
the whole theme of jjk 0 is that love is the most twisted curse of all — where did gojo learn that from? Obviously there’s more than one type of love — but this movie was focused on romantic love in particular (between yuta and rika) but also was reflecting on geto and gojo’s relationship
gojo’s last words to geto are allegedly three words according to the VAs and what else could they be? Other than the theme of the entire movie — “I love you???” and then Geto literally blushes in the manga and says, “at least you could have cursed me in the end” — which gojo kinda did.
there’s a whole bunch of other things I could analyze and I’m not here to debate with you or anyone else! it’s fiction — it’s up to us to interpret things that are vague. And you are entitled to your opinion — but what I don’t like is you telling me that my opinion is wrong when it’s not!
It’s vague in the manga for a reason. never did they call each other brothers, nor did they call each other lovers — all they said is that they were best friends. And a lot of people are best friends with their brothers but also a lot of lovers are best friends so
you are allowed to have your opinion friend, just don’t tell me mine is wrong — if you don’t like the ship, read the tag and don’t read the fic!

*A DAY BEFORE THE 24th*
Being outside your house wishing your daughter goodbye is reminiscent of last year when the twins were here, your family was strongly bonded, and Suguru was alive.
Now a year later, Suguru is dead, the twins are gone too, and the family you built with Suguru is distant. Now you’re talking to your brother, hoping once again that you all make it back alive.
“You’re not feeling sick today are you?” You tease your daughter.
Albeit she looks at you lost, going completely unaware that you’re recalling last year when she pretended to be sick so you and Suguru could stay behind.
“No,” she deadpans and shoots you a weird look. “Now why can’t you come with me?”
You sigh and crouch down to be at her level. “Because I have to stay here and fight because I’m strong and I can do something to help.”
Satori looks down with a pout so you quickly grab her hands and tilt your head down. “But you know what? I’ll see you before you know it.”
Satori gently kicks away some dirt and mumbles, “that’s what daddy said and I never saw him again.”
Shit, shit.
“I know honey, I know this is hard, and it’s okay to feel sad, tomorrow is a year since we lost your dad. But I will make it back okay? We will see each other again, I promise.” You try to assure her, but she keeps her eyes down, causing you to feel a pang of anguish in your heart but for an idea also pop into your head. “I have something I want to give you.”
Satori’s eyes flicker up and you let her hands go to pull something cold out of your pocket.
“I wanted to give you this later on,” you let her know and grab her hand again. “But I think right now is more fitting.”
You open her palm and place a necklace with three rings hanging from it. “This,” you continue while a smile finally breaks onto her features. “Is the rings your dad and I used to wear. This,” you point to your engagement ring. “Is the ring your dad gave me when he asked me to marry him, next to it is the ring he put on me when we got married, and that one,” you point to a thicker gold ring. “That one is your dad's wedding ring. You get to keep that now. So when you get older you get to size it so it fits you or turn it into something else. The same goes for my rings.”
Satori picks up the rings and holds them up to take a better look at them.
“But what about you?” She asks and tries to slide on your old engagement ring, but her fingers are still too small. “Won’t you miss it?”
You laugh breathlessly. “No, I have one, don’t worry about me.”
Satori hangs the necklace around her head and tucks the rings in her shirt before offering you a smile. “Thank you.”
“You are welcome, now come here, so I can give you a big kiss…” you trail off the moment you capture her in an embrace and press kisses on her cheeks.
Satori giggles and squirms in your embrace. “No, no!”
You pull back and cup her cheeks. “Listen to me Satori, if you are ever in danger you can use your cursed technique okay? You can use any sword you make, okay?”
A flash of fear passes through her eyes, but you’re quick to push that fear away. “No, it’s okay; it doesn’t mean anything will happen, your uncles will be with you the entire time, and the community will too, so don’t worry I’m just letting you know.”
Satori lets out a deep breath and you caress her cheeks before giving her a sweet and assuring smile. “I love you,” you tell her from the bottom of your heart. “I’ll call you in the morning.”
“I love you too,” she redirects and grabs your cheeks too.
“I’ll call you before bed.”
You nod in agreement and then glance at Satoru in the distance before you lean in and whisper in your daughter's ear. “Go say goodbye to your uncle, and Choso.”
Satori nods eagerly before she breaks away from you and runs over to Satoru. “Uncle Satoru!” She exclaims. And like expected Satoru crouches to be closer to her level and waits with open arms.
When Satori gets close to him she jumps over to him, knowing for certain that she’ll be caught and not lose balance.
“You know what?” She interjects as Satoru stands up to his given height with her secured in his hold. “I know a secret.”
“Hm?” Satoru probes with a curious smile.
You watch them from a distance and Choso approaches you from behind to wrap his arm around your shoulders.
“You will win,” Satori lets Satoru know. “With your fight against Sukuna, you’ll win and bring Fushiguro home.”
Satoru blinks and his face slowly loses that teasing look that had been playing on his features, and a soft look slowly takes over.
“Oh? You think so?” He asks.
Satori nods. “Yes, because you’re strong. My Mommy and my Daddy always said you were the strongest sorcerer. And I believe you are strong too. That’s why I know you’ll win.”
Instead of smiling Satoru sighs and frowns before he brings up a genuine question. “And if I lose? Sukuna is strong too, what if I lose?”
Satori hums and averts her gaze for a moment before she grabs his cheeks and assures him. “Then you can all try again.”
Satoru’s lips pull to a smile and Satori whispers loudly. “But either way I will still think you’re strong, and I will still love you.”
Satoru’s eyes water and all he can do is nod in comprehension.
“I’ll miss you when I’m away,” Satori admits. “Don’t tell my friends but I think you’re my greatest friend.”
Satoru chuckles. “Your secret is safe with me.” He assures her and caresses the side of her head. “And you know what? When you miss me just look at the sky and remember that me and your mother are under the same sky, we see the same moon and the same sun.”
Satori lifts her head to look at the white clouds covering the blue sky with a smile she then shows off to her uncle. “Cool. Will you call me when the fight is over?” She asks.
Satoru sighs and doesn’t let her see his worry. “I'll try,” he assures her before he presses her against him to hug her tightly. “I love you Satori.”
Your daughter giggles and doesn’t hesitate to say it back. “I love you too, Uncle Satoru. I’ll see you soon, okay?”
“Bye, Sugar.” He says sweetly before he puts her down, letting her walk to Choso, and letting you exhale deeply and then turn to face your family waiting for Satori to say her goodbyes to leave.
“We’ll take care of her,” Larue says as you approach him and the others.
“Okay,” you mumble and look at him, Miguel, Manami, and Toshihisa with a look you can’t keep hardened, no matter how unresolved your feelings are towards your family. “But call if something happens,” you tell them. “I’ll be there as quickly as I can.”
“You don’t have to worry,” Larue interjects. “You focus on winning this fight…I know we may not be close right now but we are still family,” he clarifies to you and the rest gathered behind them. “We will always be family no matter what.”
You can’t say you disagree with that. No matter how upset you still are you can’t forsake them.
“I would like to say I wish you could all stay,” you finally drift the subject away from formalities. “But I’m glad you’re all leaving. That way everyone is safe.”
“Careful or I'll think you’re caring about us,” Toshihisa blurts, making you scoff.
“We’re family above all else, idiot.” You snap back. “I care. But…I can’t forgive just yet. However, there’s no one else I trust to take care of Satori than all of you…” you pause and offer them a genuine smile. “So please keep her safe.”
Miguel grabs your shoulder and assures you. “They will. They’ll keep everyone safe.”
You let out a deep sigh and nod softly. “You’ll come back right?” You ask him after some plans changed.
Miguel nods. “I’ll just accompany them to where they’ll layover and come back right away.”
You wish he’d stay with them too, but this is how things have to be with strong sorcerers like him. “All right,” you mumble and glance at the others. “I'll call when the fight is over to say if we won or lost. If I don’t call in a week then…please always remind Satori why I had to stay back and fight.”
Larue frowns and wants to contradict you so you don’t worry, but you’ll fight harder to get your point across so he agrees.
“Goodbye everyone, and be careful, and don’t let Satori watch the broadcast, okay?”
Miguel and Larue offer you an assuring nod, and Manami and Toshihisa give you a small wave. You turn to face Satori and meet her gaze right away.
“Goodbye, Choso, goodbye Uncle Satoru!” She throws out over her shoulder as she comes running over to you followed by her Tiger cursed spirit companion.
When she reaches you you give her one more hug. “Listen to your uncle okay? And pick up the phone when I call. I love you, my chipmunk.”
Satori squeezes you back. “I love you too Mommy.”
You keep her in your arms for a moment longer and when you feel her start to squirm you pull back and grab her cheeks to stare at her for a lingering moment before you let her go.
“Bye, Satori.” Your voice quivers, but she doesn’t catch it.
“Bye Mommy,” she says back over her shoulder when she turns to head to the car. “Bye, Uncle Satoru! Bye, Choso!”
“Bye Satori!” Satoru shouts whilst Choso returns the goodbye in a quieter tone.
“Bye Satori.”
You watch with tear-filled eyes and a weight laying heavier on your heart as Satori loads up in the car with the rest of your family. When she’s no longer seen and the car starts to roll away you can't handle the anguish or hold that weight, your heart sinks, and tears stream down your eyes, revealing your anguish upon seeing your daughter having to leave once again because of the dangers happening in your world.
Once again your daughter has to leave with the fear of not knowing if she'll see you again. She doesn’t express it, but you know it’s something that creeps inside her, and it became a much more terrifying fear after she lost Suguru.
And once again you have to live apart and say goodbye without knowing how long you’ll go without seeing your daughter, you have to live with heightened self-loathing for having to send her away once again. However, once again Choso is here with you. The last time you said goodbye to your daughter it was through the phone, and Choso and you were simple allies. Now he’s your husband, and now he’s holding you against him as you watch the cars' view get blocked by buses carrying the rest of the people from your community.
The moment the last bus leaves the grounds and the gates close more streams of tears fall down your cheeks. Choso can’t see your face, but he knows you well, before he can even hear you sniffle or before you can say a single word he turns you around to face him.
“She’ll be safe,” he tries to assure you. “She’ll be far away, but she’ll be safe.”
You meet his gaze and only cry harder at the feeling of his comfort. Choso then wastes no time to press his hand over your heart and tilt his head down to meet your gaze.
“My love,” he whispers. “You’ll see each other again.”
You slowly raise your hand and gently cup the back of his hand.
“I don’t want her to hate me,” you share a deep fear. “If I somehow lose I don’t want her to think I left her on purpose.”
Choso shakes his head. “You won’t lose,” he sets the record straight—or really he manifests that you won’t die tomorrow if Satoru somehow loses.
“…and she won’t hate you. You’ll reunite,” he says softly. “She’ll only hear how brave her mother was.”
You share a breathless laugh and then let out a deep breath that helps you relax your shoulders.
“Come here,” he whispers and pulls gently on your arm to wrap you in an embrace.
——
*LATER*
“I didn’t want to send her away, I hope you know that,” you whisper to the hibiscus plant to indirectly talk to Suguru without being heard or seen from those inside the house.
You’re not embarrassed, you’d just prefer to talk to your dead…husband? Ex-husband? What would he be now that you’re married?
Hm.
Nevertheless, you’d prefer to talk to him without anyone listening in.
“…But I also can’t risk letting anything happen to her,” you continue and feed the plant more water. “I hope that doesn’t upset you. I know we told ourselves we wouldn’t let Satori spend too much time without us. That’s not the parents we’d be, but…” you pause and sigh deeply. “It’s hard now with all this mess going on. I’m sorry.” You drop your head and hopelessly wait for a response. You knew you wouldn’t get one, but in the back of your head, you still leave silence to wait.
When the silence prolongs you lift your head and stare at the hibernating plant with longing to see Suguru in front of you instead of a mere plant so he can talk to you. So he can tell you that you’re stressing yourself out too much. Choso tells you, he gives you comfort and you appreciate it and him, but he’s not Satori’s father, he agrees with every choice you make about her. He doesn’t have the same wisdom, he won’t argue against you about the choices you make about sending your daughter away, he’s…not Suguru.
“…I’ll leave you be now,” you whisper. “Wish me luck.”
You get off the floor with the equipment you were using. When you reach the corner of the greenhouse you put away the equipment and take your gloves off to put them away before you wash your hands. You had brought your horse out so she could roam while you were outside; so you look out the window in search of her. And much to your surprise she’s not far, but you catch Kashimo watching her from up close.
So if Kashimo is here that means Hakari, Kirara, and Shoko are here too, and they didn’t bother to come looking for you.
Whatever!
You walk out after you change back into your riding boots, and immediately catch Kashimo’s attention.
“Oh wow,” he interjects nonchalantly. “Did he bore you already?”
You shoot him a pointed look and roll your eyes before you snap back. “Well, considering what we’re going to do tomorrow there’s no time for an actual honeymoon.”
Kashimo scoffs and shocks you by smirking at you. “You know I like—no,” he says. “I bask in all of the doubt you all have on Gojo.”
You lift a brow and tease him. “Which Gojo?”
He shoots you a dirty look before remarking. “You know who. Anyway, I’m glad you all doubt your brother's inability to win it means I will get to—”
“Kill yourself fighting your true love,” you mock him and touch your chest to feign swooning. “How romantic. You know I wish someone would let a lunatic bring them back after 400 years just to see me.”
Kashimo exhales through his nose out of frustration, so you chuckle whilst you walk past him to take your horse's lead and walk her back to the barn.
“Coming to fight the King of Curses is not a joke, I have reserved my cursed technique to use on the only opponent worthy of it.”
You peer at him over your shoulder and notice that he’s following you so you scoff at him and shake your head before you don’t hold back from sharing what you’re thinking. “Wasting your whole life chasing after death is pretty stupid. Did you even live your life?”
“I died an old man,” he grumbles.
You shrug and shake your head once again in disapproval. “And I admire you for it, I want to die old and wrinkly too, but what did you do throughout it? You spent your life unsatisfied because no one measured up to that monster…that sounds pretty pathetic…” you trail off in a whisper and let go of your horse's lead to pet her mane while she follows at your side.
“Oh please,” he retorts. “You sound just…” he trails off and you of course get curious over what he didn't say, but you’ve gotten to know him and he won’t budge and say anything even if you plead, so you just leave it be.
Even if not knowing will probably bother you.
“I had a life,” he throws out to try and prove you wrong. “I had a wife…she was dull though.”
You glare at him over your shoulder and shake your head. “How typical of you to say that,” you mutter between gritted teeth.
Kashimo shrugs with nonchalance. “What?” He retorts. “It was an arranged marriage. She was dull. Don’t tell me that you wouldn't say that about someone. I bet you’ve met some pretty dull woman in your line of work.”
You scrunch your nose and counter immediately. “No! All the women I’ve met in my line of work are hard-working, you don’t know what they have to go through to run down those runaways or pose for those photoshoots. They don’t all have the privilege of having money like me. Asshole.”
Kashimo doesn’t flinch at the insult and just crosses his arms over his chest and frowns deeper. “Okay then…” he trails off and mumbles something under his breath you don’t catch or get to question before he’s interjecting. “You're a Gojo, I’m sure you were arranged to someone.”
A smile tugs on your lips and you slow down to fall by his side and share about the man that almost was your husband. “Actually yes, Naoya Zen’in. He was misogynistic, and he liked to belittle me.”
Kashimo huffs and looks at you with pride. “Exactly so you can’t say shit.”
You smirk at him and hesitate showing off. “I actually beat him up with the help of Choso. We jumped him, and I shut him up.” You say proudly and bounce your shoulders. “And, I’m proud to say this, I sent a picture of him to his brothers looking all pathetic on the ground.”
A smirk flickers on the corner of his lips but he doesn’t show it for more than a second. “Why didn’t you just kill him?” He remarks.
You sigh dramatically. “It would be too much work. It was after Shibuya, I was hiding and going through different emotions so I didn’t want to deal with Zen’in’s seeking revenge.”
“You’re special grade though,” he points out. “You think they would’ve given you trouble?”
You meet his gaze and shake your head. “No. But again, I was going through stuff, and we were dealing with a hundred other things, so, it would’ve just been an inconvenience.”
Kashimo hums and you add on. “Naoya is dead so it doesn’t matter anymore either way.”
You reach the barn so you slide the lead off the horse and watch her walk into her stall before you reunite with Kashimo outside by the fence.
“I’m not doubting my brother by the way,” you make yourself clear since you couldn’t defend yourself before. “I just know tomorrow will be hard. I don’t want to build some illusion and only get hurt more if something bad were to happen, so I’m just preparing myself, everyone is.”
Kashimo keeps his eyes on the other horses grazing on the large field, but you both then glance at your beautiful black and white horse walking out of her stall to join the others.
“But it also doesn’t mean we’re not hoping you won’t fight,” you add and let your lips pull on a smile for him. “If you want to live out your dream and show off your technique then I’m excited to see what you’re hiding. So if you tag in for Satoru to let him take a break then that will be pretty cool.”
Kashimo turns his head, and when you see his gaze on you from the corner of your eyes you lean forward to fold your arms over the wooden fence before you slowly turn your head to look at him.
“I’m still hoping you’ll win though so I don’t have to fight him,” you continue in his silence. “But please if the fight does fall on you, kill Sukuna after we have killed Kenjaku, okay? That way we catch him by surprise like we want to.”
Kashimo sighs and shakes his head in disapproval. “If you’re not fast then I don’t know what to tell you,” he says bluntly, making you groan and push yourself off the fence to turn and face him.
“You know what? I hope my brother wins and you're left salivating over a what-if scenario with Sukuna,” you quip and shoot him a feigned sweet smile before you turn on your heels and start to walk back inside.
Kashimo doesn’t want to be left alone since your community is deserted now and slowly tows behind you.
“Don’t get disappointed when Sukuna rejects you,” you tease Kashimo, making him kick a small rock at your back.
Instead of being bugged by the action you laugh mockingly for too long before you join his silence.
Eventually when you get inside you walk to the parlor room where everyone seems to be. You can hear laughs and conversations, however, before you can turn toward the room you spot Shoko and Satoru outside. And the decision is clear, you join them on the back porch whilst Kashimo joins the others.
“Where have you been?” Satoru asks the moment you step outside. “Did you make my dinner yet?”
You raise a brow and scoff before you sit down by Shoko on the bench. “What are you doing outside?” You ask.
Shoko shrugs. “Just letting the students be and reminiscing about our youthful past.”
You laugh softly and pull your boots off before you tuck your feet under her thighs to keep them warm.
“It’s good when you’re around,” Shoko adds while she kills her cigarette. “It keeps me from smoking.”
You yawn and lay back on the cushions under you. “It’s good I’m pregnant that way I can stop smoking.”
“I have a name for one of your babies,” Satoru interjects. “Satoru the Second.”
You loll your head to the side and shoot him a pointed look. “I am not naming my child Satoru the Second. Satori was only given her name because Suguru liked it so much. I was going to name her Fumiko, which means hibiscus and beautiful child.”
Satoru puts his thumbs down and you ignore him to add another comment. “I’m actually not naming my children after anyone. I already told Choso that. We have too many people to choose from and I don’t want anyone to feel left out, so we’re not honoring anyone.”
“Well,” Satoru adds lazily as he lays back on the hammock. “Half of those people are dead so no one will know.”
“I’ll know,” you quickly rebuttal. “So if you have any name suggestions besides Satoru the Second, I will Iove to hear them. Choso and I will take it under consideration.” You smile sweetly at the ceiling.
“Is it okay if I name my cat Satoru the Second?” Shoko interjects “I want to get a cat after all this, someone to keep me company while I work. And I think cats with funny names are the cutest.”
You snort and Satoru remarks. “Hey!”
“The barn cat just had a litter of kittens,” you mention and wrap your arms over your chest to hug yourself as you feel a chill go down your spine and spread little goosebumps everywhere. “Take one when they’re big enough.”
Shoko pats your leg as a thank you before she says it. “Oh really thanks, that saves me a thousand bucks.”
“What?” Satoru teases. “You were going to get a thousand-dollar cat?”
“Yes,” she agrees right away. “I wanted one of those hairless cats to go with the funny name.”
You chortle and point at Satoru.
Your brother notices and swings the hammock towards you to slam the side of your thigh with his foot.
“You're so gross,” you snap back. “Your foot stinks.
“Untrue!” He quickly rebuttals. “I take good care of my feet.”
“Do you guys remember that game we used to play before you all went on big missions,” Shoko cuts in before Satoru and you can start going on and on just arguing. “The one where we told the worst thing that could happen and something we want to do after?”
You think for a moment to recall back to your high school days.
However, just as the memory hits you before you can say a thing Satoru blurts. “Yes, I remember! You made it up even though you hardly went on missions.”
“Hm, I know, but it was cool for you guys, no?” She asks.
You nod and hug yourself tighter before you take your phone out as you respond. “Yes, it was, so let’s play it now. You go first.”
You then text Choso since you don’t want to suffer through this bitterness any longer.
You to Choso: Could you bring me a blanket? I’m out on the back porch.
“Okay, well, the worst thing that could happen to me,” Shoko muses and lays back to tilt her head over the headrest. “Maybe lose my sense of taste.”
You laugh and check your phone as a message comes in.
Choso: Of course. Do you want a specific one?
You: no, any, please and thank you xoxo
“Sense of taste now how could you—”
“Eh!” Shoko cuts him off sharply. “No you don’t get to judge, remember?! Now I will answer your question.” She says and lets out a small breath before sharing her reasoning. “I would hate to lose my sense of taste because how am I supposed to drink? Tasting is a huge reason why anyone drinks, I mean if I can’t taste it I’d just get drunk on nothing-tasting liquid. It wouldn’t be fun.”
You chuckle and can’t help but agree. “That’s true I mean, especially when it comes to tropical drinks. I love those.”
“Exactly!”
Without saying anything Satoru just groans in a very specific judgy way.
“And you already know what I want to do after so Satoru go on,” Shoko encourages him. And without a moment to think about his response he blurts.
“I'd hate to lose my ability to speak, I have so much on my mind, and how could I bless people with my voice if I don't have it?! Oh and karaoke?”
You roll your eyes and snicker before you quip. “I would for one wouldn’t mind a mute brother. No more nagging voice.”
“Yeah,” Shoko agrees thoughtfully. “Silence at work would be wonderful.”
“Whatever, whatever,” Satoru doesn’t let either of you bother him. “Now what do I want to do after?” He trails off humming, and the door then opens.
You sit up and when you look back you see none other than Choso with a blanket.
“Here,” he says and walks over to hand you the blanket.
“Thank you,” you tell him with a sweet smile.
Choso nods and just as he’s about to turn to walk back inside you grab his wrist and pull him back to you. “Stay,” you suggest—or demand more like. “Leave the kids to…do whatever amongst themselves.”
Choso glances at Shoko and then at Satoru before letting his eyes fall back on you to express clear distress. “Are you sure? I don’t want to intrude,” he says, making you flash him a grin.
“Yes, I'm sure, we’re just hanging out,” you assure him.
Choso still seems unsure, and as Shoko sees that, she interjects to ease his concern. “You’re family now Choso, you don’t have to worry about intruding anything, plus this is your house now too, so you’re more than welcome.”
Choso still glances back at your brother with hesitation.
“He’s working out his mind by thinking of a response, you have to give him a minute,” you let Choso know. “But he won’t mind, now sit.”
Choso meets your gaze and holds it for a moment as he debates with himself before he decides to turn and sit down beside you, letting you lay down to rest your head on his lap while you cover your legs and Shoko’s lap with the blanket.
“Okay, Cho, we’re playing a game,” you let him know. “It’s something we’d play back in high school, just before we’d go on missions. You have to say the worst thing that can happen to you in that mission, but it can’t be anything depressing. And then you have to share something you want to do after, again nothing too depressing. It's just for fun.”
“Okay,” Choso rolls out as he thinks about the concept of the game.
“Shoko said that the worst thing for her would be to lose her sense of taste, and she wants to get a cat after this ordeal is over,” you share so he can understand better and have no questions. “And Satoru said something stupid like losing his ability to speak, he’s thinking of the next response, which!” You direct at Satoru loudly now. “He needs to hurry up and do!”
“No,” Satoru finally says. “Come back to me. I can’t make up my mind. You put me on the spot. You go next.”
You sigh and roll your eyes back to look at Choso. “You go,” you drift the attention to him. “I’ll go after. Remember, you don’t have to think too hard.”
Choso holds your gaze and lets out a deep breath before he spares a short glance at the others. “Well, I suppose the worst thing would be losing my sight. I wouldn’t be able to see the ones I love.”
You grin and nod. “Sweet,” you compliment him.
“A lot more humble than Satoru over there,” Shoko teases.
“Mhm-mm.”
“It's true, I can’t lie,” Satoru simply says.
“Whatever,” you interject and look back at your husband. “Now the next question.”
Choso nods softly and drops his head to hide the blush furiously growing on his cheeks. “Well this will be sappy, but I would like to make it to the twin's appointment scheduled in January. I want to hear their heartbeats, and I want to see if they’re growing okay.”
You flash him a toothy grin and can’t help but grab his arm to extend it out over you so you can nuzzle against it. “I love that response.” You coo, making him look at you and smile.
“Now you,” Shoko nudges your legs.
You smirk at the ceiling and immediately respond to the first question. “The worst thing that could happen is losing my hair. I love my white hair,” you share. “And I enjoy maintaining it.”
“Now how—”
“Shut up,” you cut your brother off before he can say some judgy remark. “Now, something I want to do, easy, ice skate!” You exclaim. “The lake freezes to the point you can ice skate on it in the winter, so that’s something I hope I can do.”
“If only you had the ability to do that,” Satoru mutters.
You sigh and nod. “If only. I’m a good Ice skater.”
Who are you kidding? Suguru would always need to hold your hand. But you like to pretend you can ice skate like those figure ice skaters on TV!
“Choso,” Satoru calls out, causing said man to stiffen and snap his eyes across from him—“I have an idea for a baby name. If there’s a boy, name him Satoru the Second!”
You pass Choso an amused look and just smile to wait for his response.
“Well,” Choso lets out slowly. “Y/N and I already decided that we aren’t going to name the twins after anyone we know.”
“And he doesn’t like it,” you interject for him.
Satoru looks over with a pointed gaze and Choso nods. “And I don’t like it,” he admits, making you laugh.
Satoru stays quiet so you nudge Shoko with your toe to remind him of who will take that name. “Plus Shoko’s cat will be named that.”
In Satoru’s silence, he chooses to take off his sock and throw it over at you. And since he doesn’t miss, the sock hits your face.
“What the—”
When you realize what hit you you start gagging dramatically, causing Satoru to burst out laughing. Which does trigger you, so you swiftly climb off the bench.
“Here we go,” Shoko mutters and watches you get ahold of Satoru’s hair and arm to drag him off the hammock so you can start hitting him.
Rather than trying to defend himself, Satoru starts laughing maniacally.
“Don’t worry,” Shoko tells Choso as he watches you and your brother with concern over the way you both act—“he usually doesn’t fight back. When he does it’s just playful.”
“Hm.”
“I told you I hate when you do that, why do you have to be such a boy!” You remark as you start shaking him.
The back door opens without you realizing and Yuji, Hakari, Kirara, and Kashimo walk out to see what’s going on.
“My money is on y/n,” you catch someone say. And when you look over your shoulder you see that it was Hakari.
“There’s nothing to bet on,” you say and let Satoru go to step back. “I’m done.” You huff and straighten out your sweater before you turn on your heels. “Now why don’t we go start dinner? And maybe watch something in the meanwhile.”
You walk off and Yuji mumbles, “that’s why I’m glad I don’t have a sister.”
Satoru chuckles. “She’s just easy to piss off.”
How is it easy to avoid thinking about the bad things that are going to happen? Is it because you’re already anticipating it and you know there’s no way around it?
Is that why it was so easy to enjoy the rest of the evening as if the next day you aren’t going to watch Satoru fight the strongest Sorcerer in history, or even participate in fighting that enemy yourself too?
Because it was easy, forgetting, making good memories with Kirara and Hakari, bonding with Choso and Yuji, and mending your relationship with Shoko and Satoru—oh, and forming a new friendship with Kashimo.
It was great, sweet, and for a minute, for a while, for a sweet moment you started to believe that nothing was going to happen, but then when the silence intervened while you were in bed it all came rushing back.
However, you keep trying to avoid it. “What will we tell the twins, or any of our other potential children when they ask how we met?” You can’t help but ask Choso while you get your gaze lost on the ceiling, and he closes his eyes.
“Oh yeah we met in Shibuya,” you pretend to quote lightheartedly. “Your father tried to kill me?”
“You were in my way,” he deadpans, making you pick your head off the pillow to turn it and look at him with an amused smile.
“Oh really? How romantic,” you coo. “But we can also say it this way; I saw your father when he was facing your uncle Satoru, he looked back at me and I said wow what a handsome man. It was love at first sight.”
Choso scoffs and peels one eye open to look at you with a slight smile.
You shrug and lean towards him to rest your hand on his chest and start caressing his skin under the blanket. “What?” You probe. “It was either you or volcano head. But he had anger issues, so maybe your father.”
Choso now peels both eyes open and shoots you a faint pointed look.
You laugh and go on messing with him. “Albeit considering his last choice in a romantic partner I think I wouldn't be his type—Ah!” You snap your fingers. “My brother could’ve been his type, he could’ve lived out his gay fantasy with Suguru’s body.”
Choso snorts.
“Should we send your father a card that says “congratulations you’re going to be a grandfather?” You ask Choso as a joke.
However, he can’t see it so lightheartedly. “No,” he mutters. “I won’t tell him anything. I won’t tell our kids about him either unless they ask. He deserves no recognition from me or my family.”
Your smile turns faint and you slither your hand up to cup his cheek and tilt his head your way. “After tomorrow he hopefully won’t be a problem anymore. I’ll bring you his brain so you can burn it or squish it, I don’t know. But tomorrow all he’ll be is a bad memory. I swear.”
The corner of Choso’s lips tug to a smile and he grabs your hand and plants a kiss on the heel of your hand before he whispers. “I know you’ll take care of it.”
He didn’t say it but you knew his father still being alive stresses him out because of the babies you’re expecting. Neither of you know what to expect from Kenjaku, especially if he were to find out his eldest son was expecting twins, and Choso fears that his father would somehow hurt you and in turn hurt your twins just to hurt him.
“Now,” you smoothly change the subject. “What will we tell our kids?”
Choso smiles softly. “The truth about how we met. I am not ashamed to say that I lost against you.”
You giggle and lean in closer to talk against his lips. “I told you I did not want to kill you, and good thing I didn't. Look at us.”
“Hm,” he coos softly. “Albeit Shibuya isn’t when we met for the first time. We met last year when you picked up my capsule.”
You hold his gaze and feel your smile soften as you grow enamored. “That’s right,” you whisper.
“But I suppose we can keep that story to ourselves,” he says and presses his forehead against yours.
“Choso,” you murmur as you’re lost in the intimacy of the moment. “I'm scared for tomorrow. I…don’t want to lose my brother, or you, or anyone else. I don’t want to go into tomorrow because it means we’ll have to face that unavoidable battle.”
Choso sighs and keeps you pressed against him. “I’m sorry I can’t reassure you that everyone will live because I don’t know tomorrow, but…doesn’t it make you feel better to know that everyone, especially your brother, will fight bravely to bring some form of peace?”
“I don’t want to be used to losing people,” you admit with a stinging throbbing in your throat. “I don’t want to be alone.”
You pull back and face him with your eyes gleaming with tears and your lips formed into a soft frown. If he could explain this expression he’d say it was a beautiful sadness, one poets would write sonnets about, a beautiful sadness artists would paint on their canvas.
“You won’t be alone,” he whispers to try and assure you.
“Do you swear?” You make a stupid promise out of fear. And he hesitates knowing he should let you down and not feed into your illusion, but he can’t help it when you look at him with those eyes full of tears.
“I swear.”
Choso wipes away the tears that slip down your cheeks and leans in to press a gentle kiss on your lips.
You kiss him back slowly to cherish that sweet taste of his lips before you try to sleep.
Will it come easy though?
Considering your current state you do feel that sometimes you get more exhausted a lot sooner so it lets you fall asleep fast, but what about this night?
You can feel your mind racing. It’s loud and annoying, and it makes you toss and turn, so you try and find the best position.
But you can’t!
So after a while, you open your eyes. However, instead of waking up in your room and looking at the ceiling, you wake somewhere else, but not somewhere strange….
You’re looking out some windows watching the rain fall, and hearing its gentle melody as it hits the earth outside the cozy and warm room you’re in. You don’t hear Choso’s gentle snores or the silence of the night outside your bedroom windows.
So where are you exactly?
You’re almost too afraid to look around, but you can’t stay in the dark forever so you slowly start turning your head, but you come to a quick stop when you see your long-dead best friend Haibara.
“This rain ruins our plans, but staying here and just hanging out is a good alternative,” he interjects and startles you. “Good thinking, y/n.”
You part your lips to respond but only a small gasp of air comes out.
“Staying indoors drove her insane,” Nanami, yes, that’s Nanami, he quips. And when you snap your head in the direction where his voice comes from you see him too, young in appearance just like Haibara, and wearing only part of his school uniform. He’s lounging indoors so his coat is off.
“Nanamin,” you mutter in disbelief.
Said man shoots you a pointed look and snaps back. “I told you to stop calling me that.”
You share a breathless laugh and stare at him for a lingering moment before someone else steals all your attention.
Suguru. He’s young Just like the other two. His hair is short and in a bun, he also isn’t as muscular. He’s his high school self. They all are.
“Suguru,” you whisper happily
Said man’s dark eyes fall on you and he looks at you perplexed before he raises the mugs in his hands. “Don’t worry It’s how you like it. I didn't forget. Now come on, sit with me before Satoru takes your spot.”
“Please refrain from fighting tonight,” Nanami already pleads in annoyance.
“Okay,” you go along with this…dream? Your surroundings aren’t clear, but they’re not too blurry either so that’s what makes it hard to tell. All you know is that this isn’t real. But you want it to be.
“…and I said that sounds stupid,” the voice of your brother begins to travel out the hall, so you stand up and quickly take a seat next to Suguru and let him hand you your cup of tea.
“What?” He asks as he doesn't need to ask you what you’re feeling. He sees your confusion and the anguish on your face.
“Where am I?” You have to ask.
However, Suguru laughs softly. “Here,” he retorts.
“Hm.”
Well, that wasn’t helpful whatsoever.
“…then please share any ideas you have,” you hear Shoko exclaim out of frustration before she and your brother walk into the room.
“Well,” Satoru stammers. “I will get back to you on that, but that beginning is stupid.”
Wait…you remember this now—or parts of this. This is some kind of memory. Only it’s a dream and memory hybrid, your mind is playing tricks on you while you sleep.
“Make some room!” Satoru exclaims and rushes over towards Suguru and you, but Suguru wraps his arm around you and pulls you towards him to close the gap between the two of you before Satoru can squeeze in between.
“No, sit by Shoko or Nanami—”
“No,” Nanami cuts him off before he can finish. “You move too much Satoru, sit somewhere else.”
You watch them all in awe, without saying a single word. You’re just too amazed by the power your mind holds as you try to avoid even thinking about what’s to come. It’s like it’s building you an escape.
“Y/N,” Satoru calls out and sits up with a smirk on his face. “Do you want to hear the start of our partner presentation?”
You make no remark like you did in that real day, years ago, this time you smile and nod. Even if your brother is alive, you still look at him and answer with starstruck wonder. “Yes, go ahead.”
Satoru parts his lips and draws in a breath to speak, but he then shuts his mouth and lowers his shades to narrow his gaze on you.
“No remarks?” He points out. “What's wrong with you?”
Your smile falls and that anguish is clear as day on your face for everyone to see.
“Is this about tomorrow?” Haibara asks the right question.
“Choso is right,” Suguru catches you by surprise by interjecting. “Isn’t it enough to know everyone will fight bravely for peace?”
You instinctively look down at your hand and see your engagement ring and your wedding band on your finger and think about the man you love beyond the tether of this dream. You think about forcing yourself to wake up to cuddle against him and find comfort in his presence, his warmth, and the sound of his heart beating, but as you take a look at all your friends, your brother, and Suguru, your sorrow heightens and you find a stronger need to stay.
But, you can’t hold in the truth hiding inside you a moment longer as you do stay in your fantasy dream. “I’m just…tired,” you confess and drop your head. “I’m tired of fighting, and I’m tired of grieving. I…don’t want to lose any more people I love. I don’t want to fight. I’m tired. Can’t I just stay here?”
“No,” Shoko immediately says back. “Not when people are relying on you.”
“And not when those relying on you are the same people you said you were fighting a future for,” Suguru interjects and steals your breath as you remember that truth.
Fighting for the future of the next generation was always present, but through your fear of losing the ones you love and ending up alone, your goals were clouded. Now though, it’s like getting splashed by cold water, but…you don’t want to let go of Suguru, Nanami, or Haibara now.
“But if I go I won’t see either of you again,” you share in a quivering voice and lift your head to look back at your friends, but as you do, you gasp when you see the top half of Nanami’s body is gone, like when you found him that night. And just like then it’s terrifying now. So you snap your head away, but then you come across Haibara gushing blood out of his giant gash on his torso, causing memories of his death to violently flash through your mind.
Memories that you don’t want to live through again so shut your eyes and turn your head away.
“Y/N?” Suguru asks and grabs your shoulder.
Albeit you don’t respond, you know better. You can’t look and relive the worst day of your life.
“Look at me, darling,” he tries to persuade you to open your eyes. “It’s okay.”
You just need to wake up.
Just wake up.
“Look,” Suguru calls out again and slides his hand up to cup your cheek. “It’s okay.”
It’s the softness of his voice, a voice you miss that makes you slowly open your eyes.
Alas just like before you’re struck with horror when you see Suguru’s arm missing and his wound bleeding, and half of his face covered in blood with one eye unable to open.
“This is fake!” You shout and shut your eyes. “This is a dream!”
It’s all fake, you keep repeating to yourself. It’s a dream.
You just need to open your eyes.
Open your eyes, open your eyes!
“Y/N?” A different voice calls, rougher than the rest, clearer too, so you slowly open your eyes and the first thing you see is Choso, and then you notice you’re in the dark in your shared room.
“Choso,” you say breathlessly.
A few beams of light from outside casts in so you’re able to see the deep concern on his face. “Are you okay? You were crying and jumping.” He says.
You process that you’re safe and no longer in your dream so you take a deep breath first before you nod and assure Choso. “Yeah, it’s just a bad dream. The anxiety of tomorrow got to me, sorry.”
Choso shakes his head softly. “It’s okay, just go back to sleep, okay? I’m here.”
You offer him a gentle smile and pull the blanket up to your chin. “Goodnight, Cho,” you whisper.
He smiles tiredly at you and redirects your comment. “Goodnight.”
You keep a distance since you know it’ll take a while to fall back asleep after your nightmare and you don’t want to disturb him. Which is annoying for you because you hate having a hard time sleeping. It just makes the night terribly long, and the shadows like to mess with you when you can’t fall asleep fast.
Albeit this time you don’t mind because you watch Choso sleeping on his side, and realize perhaps you were too quick to pick your dream over reality. The reality of your husband's soft and small lashes resting on his purple-tinted under eyes, his dark brown hair falling over his face, and his relaxed lips is better than any dream.
You honestly could stay up all night just watching him sleep, he looks beautiful just peaceful resting, but you can’t help anyone if you don’t get some shut-eye and dream anxiety-riddled dreams, so as your eyes get heavy you drag yourself towards Choso and slide your arms around him to nuzzle yourself against the warmth of his body.
He seems to feel you against him (perhaps because he’s a light sleeper) and slings his arm over your neck to cup the back of your head and press it against his chest to the point you can find comfort in the rhythm of his heartbeats, and fall asleep fast.
——
*THE NEXT DAY*
“Here,” you help your brother try and put his last robe on, but he turns back slightly and snatches it from your hand.
“Don't pamper me, I'm not a child,” he snaps and slides on a white robe that completes his outfit for the fight against Sukuna.
You raise your hands in your defense and step back whilst you mutter, “I’m sorry.”
Satoru sighs and turns to face you with a reassuring look. “Are you really doubting me that much?” He says.
You scoff and shake your head. “No!” You defend yourself. “I'm just worried that’s all. Can’t I?”
Satoru shakes his head and smirks as he rests his hand on his hip. “No, I’m strong. I’m the strongest, I will win.”
You hold his gaze and can’t get rid of the worry, it’s too deeply tangled in your heart. But his overconfidence does make you smile with some ease.
“Besides I plan to witness all nine months of your pregnancy, who knows, maybe me and Choso will become good friends,” he says lightheartedly. “And I do want to meet my nieces or nephews, or whatever comes out of you.”
You laugh softly at his comment, but you can’t stay comfortably reassured for long, your face falls and expresses your fear for his life. Satoru notices and no matter how hard he tries to ignore your anguish that made his heart hurt, he can’t when you look so fearful and worried. It’s the brother in him that can’t keep ignoring it.
“Look,” he whispers and closes the gap between you to grab your cheeks. “I’ll fight hard. I’ll give him all I got and make it back. I’ll win.”
“I have faith you will,” you make yourself known. “But…I get scared thinking of living my life without my brother.”
Satoru swallows thickly knowing he can’t genuinely promise he will live. And he most of all can’t make the same promise he made to you when you were little kids.
“I will fight hard to win,” he says because that's all he can offer you.
“You swear?” You ask in a shaky voice.
Satoru nods. “I swear.”
You muster a wobbly smile and then quickly throw your arms around him to hold him in an embrace. “I love you,” you remind him.
Satoru hugs you back and squeezes you gently as he whispers back. “I love you too.”
You hug him tighter hoping that by some miracle you won’t have to let go.
But you do, and when you pull away you do so slowly.
“Kill that bastard,” you say with more confidence.
Satoru smirks and nods. “I will.”
You draw out a deep breath as you hold his gaze as if trying to memorize every detail of his bright blue eyes, and his face for just in case.
“Y/N,” he mumbles with a soft smile. “Promise you’ll be happy. Live your life and don’t stop living it because of me. Be what our parents couldn't be to you, to your kids, and just be happy. That’s all I want for you.”
You draw in a shaky breath but you stop yourself from shedding tears and instead smile at him and nod.
“Now come on,” he adds teasingly. “I don’t want to be late.”
You huff and shoot him a judgy look before you walk out of the room, not realizing he had lingered behind with Utathime and old man Gakuganji until you reach the top of the stairs and realize that no one is behind you.
The room below you though doesn’t seem to care that you aren’t Satoru, they all fall silent and tense as they know they’re moments away from seeing the man who could defeat a great evil or be destroyed by him.
And knowing you have everyone’s attention, you don’t show your ever-so-growing anxiety and instead show your students below a serious confidence that only adds more tension to the already tense room.
Which is why the silence isn’t broken when you descend the stairs. Besides, your students and the others seem to be brainstorming hard about something. They almost look mischievous.
“What are they up to?” You ask Choso when you reach him.
Choso follows your line of gaze and shrugs. “I don’t know, they've been discussing something for a while now.”
“Maybe they’re planning their escape,” Shoko adds lightheartedly. “I wouldn’t blame them—Now how was it? Your face is not pampered in tears.”
“As much I did want to cry, I’m holding strong,” you tell her. “Oh, and my father called Satoru. He didn’t say I love you but he said he wished him the best which is pretty much the same thing in his terms.”
“Why isn’t your family here? Shouldn’t they be here to help?” Choso asks.
You scoff in amusement. “This is above the big families, you’ll hear from them when the winner emerges.”
“Gojo!” Yuji calls out and quickly turns your attention to him only to see your brother walking down with a serious mug on his face that is almost intimidating.
“Your cursed technique is in the way!” Yuji adds, making the corner of your brother's lips fall to a partial frown for a lingering minute before he laughs and grins.
“Give it your best shot!” He exclaims happily and points to his back.
Yuji runs up to Satoru and grins as he pats his back. The other students ease up and smile now that Satoru loses his serious mug and smiles with glee. They actually proceed to pat his back and encourage him to do his best now too, which only seems to make your brother happier. And it’s something you can’t help but smile at too.
And you keep a hold of that smile as your brother gets closer to leaving. As much as your anguish wants to display on your face, you don’t let it, you encourage Satoru one last time with your bright smile
“Win Gojo!” Someone yells out from the crowd of sorcerers which is then followed by more words of encouragement.
“If it gets too rough I’ll tag you out!”
“Salmon!”
“Prove to us that you’re more than just a pretty face!”
“Go get him stupid blindfold!”
Satoru grins brightly and responds to the crowd, “Roger that.”
A shaky breath escapes you, but you hook your arm around Choso’s and keep smiling, noticing that Choso even offers your brother a genuine encouraging smile
“We’ll be watching,” you take your time to chime in too. “So do your best to kill that bastard. We believe in you Satoru!”
Said man’s gaze drifts to you and he holds your gaze for a moment before he offers you a much more softer smile and then leaves.
Now it’s a matter of time before Mei-Mei’s ravens display him on the multitude of screens in the center of the room. And every second leading up to that moment the more you feel your chest tighten.
“He’ll win,” Choso tries to comfort you. “He’s strong.”
You swallow thickly and nod softly in acknowledgment.
“Y/N,” Shoko calls out and makes her way to you through the crowd gathering around the screens.
“Hm?”
When your friend reaches you you notice a travel cup in her hand. “This is for you,” she says and hands you the cup.
“Me?” You ask and tilt the cups top your way. “Is it alcohol? I could use some.” you snicker, making Choso side-eye you.
“I'm joking,” you tell him with a teasing smile before you look at your friend in confusion. “But really what is this?”
“Lemon balm tea. For the stress. You’re so early on in your pregnancy and stress will make your blood pressure spike which affects the babies, so I thought this could help relax just some nerves.”
“Oh,” you gasp softly and share a happy look with Choso before you can’t help but smile at Shoko.
“Thank you,” you tell her in return. “This is actually a great idea.”
Shoko returns a softer smile and then goes serious when her eyes fall on Choso beside you. “Choso, if anything happens and she’s distraught, being with her and helping her breathe will help, okay? I’ll be around anyway, but I wouldn’t want you to feel helpless at the moment.”
Your breath catches in your throat at the mention, but you can’t contradict her because it can happen. Besides, Choso seems to be relieved to have been given advice.
“Thank you, Ieiri. I appreciate it,” Choso tells her with a half smile.
“Of course.”
Now to sit around the screens. You feel like not watching all together, but you can’t avoid it so you sit in between Choso and Yuji in front of the bunch of screens and wait for the moment your brother appears.
Yet waiting is agonizing. The screens aren’t black, Mei-Mei has her birds flying around the abandoned city streets waiting for Satoru to make his first attack, but that does nothing to calm down your nerves. You actually don’t realize you have your jaw clenched and your fists tightened until a warm hand gently covers your fist. When you look over, Choso passes you a comforting look.
“I’m here,” he says softly and with so much endearment. “I’ll hold your hand for the entirety of the fight.”
Your heart swoons at his kind words, and your body quickly eases at the comfort of his touch, letting him intertwine his fingers with yours and pull your hands toward his lap.
“I’m glad you’re here,” you tell him from the bottom of your heart, making Choso smile before he interjects.
“If you start feeling bad, just let me know, we can go get some fresh air.”
You nod and then look over at Yuji beside you, noticing that he looks just as tense as you had been moments ago.
Now you won’t hold his hand like Choso is holding yours, but you try to be comforting. “One way or another Sukuna is going to die today and we will save your friend.”
Yuji’s eyes flicker to you and you now realize how similar his brown eyes are to Choso’s.
“I know, I believe that. Like I also believe today won’t be Gojo’s end,” Yuji rebuttals confidently.
“I like your thinking,” you compliment and then see his eyebrows knit with a flicker of concern.
“You’ll be okay, right? Watching this won't stress you out, or you know the twins?”
You smile wider with appreciation and honestly shrug. “I hope not, but Choso and I are taking precautions either way. Thank you for worrying.”
He flashes you a warm smile and before you can add anything else finally your brother starts to appear on majority of the screens.
“Nine points,” you hear him say with his eyes laser-focused, and his legs bent as he chants to use his technique. “Polarized light. Crow and Shomyo chant. The gap between and without.”
You swallow back nervously and tighten your hold on Choso’s hand.
A couple of fast seconds feel like an eternity as you wait for him to complete his chant.
“Hollow technique: purple,” Satoru finishes and puts one arm out to flick out his bright and powerful purple technique that blinds each and every screen, and deafens every sound with the immense power of his technique.
Minutes later when Mei-mei’s birds finally recuperate their sight all you see is dust and rubble cascading down, creating a mess on the street that Satoru walks down on to finally meet up with Sukuna.
Finally, the strongest sorcerer of the new era and the strongest sorcerer in history face each other and you don’t fail to notice that Sukuna is already healing his hands that had been destroyed by Satoru’s first attack. And seeing that makes you smirk.
“Seems you have the wrong idea here,” Satoru breaks the tense silence between the two sorcerers. “So let me just set things straight. You’re the challenger here.”
Sukuna’s gaze narrows before he spats. “Damned brat. I’m the challenger? You seem pretty pleased with yourself for only landing a surprise attack.”
Shouldn’t he be pleased that he caught the great Sukuna off guard and landed the first strike?
“You are but a fish atop my chopping board Satoru Gojo,” Sukuna continues and seems to just sound like a sore loser. “A bit fresher than others but still just a nameless fish. Let’s start off by peeling off those scales,” he says and imbues his hands with his cursed energy as he shifts one foot out to stand in his fighting stance.
“Let me ask you, why are you still wearing that face?” Satoru says back as he starts peeling off his scarf and his robe which leads you to mentally question yourself why he even bothered to dress so fancy if he was just going to take it off?
“You thought I’d hold back if you looked like that? Unfortunately for you, I’ve been doing some special training,” Satoru says and cracks his knuckles. “And since it’s Megumi, I know I can go all out,” he adds before his cursed energy explodes out and imbues his fists. “You’ve managed to survive death once already while you were in Yuji. So I’ve been thinkin’ I’ll worry about Megumi after I kill you.”
Your face flashes on a small smile before you frown as you catch Sukuna lunge at Satoru with a kick. However, Satoru blocks his first strike and counters with a swing.
Sukuna mirrors his action, but Satoru falls on his back to flick his hand out and send a strong hit that sends Sukuna through a wall.
The ravens broadcasting the fight don’t falter and catch Sukuna crashing through multiple walls until finally, he manages to land on a couple of stairs. But since your brother is fast he catches Sukuna off guard by appearing in front of him and kicking him back onto a bridge. Albeit since it wasn’t such a strong hit, Sukuna finds his footing quickly.
Satoru, though, doesn’t let him catch his breath, your brother jumps in the air and breaks off the piece of the bridge Sukuna is on with his technique before he sends it over to crash against a nearby building.
However, you catch Sukuna using his raw strength to push himself off the surface of the bridge and bounce onto the roof of a different building before zooming off and facing Satoru.
“Dismantle,” Sukuna announces and points his finger at your brother.
But, instead of his attack hitting your brother, the strike hits a building behind him and slices off half of it. Your brother gets surprised and looks back at what missed him and is now sending down half of a tower. Sukuna tries to catch Satoru off guard and pushes himself towards your brother when he’s looking back, but Satoru blocks his swing. Actually Sukuna’s fist doesn’t even hit him thanks to Satoru's technique, his fist only makes contact when Satoru grabs his fist and sends him through the falling building.
You then watch your brother follow after him, and the birds catch when Satoru grabs a floating door and hurls it at Sukuna to block the sight of him. You then wait for the next attack, but dust clouds the sight of every bird, and the sound of the building crashing booms out through every speaker, losing sight and sound of the fighters for a moment until you see Satoru and Sukuna walking out of the cloud of dust ever so casually, like if they aren’t trying to kill one another.
How odd.
“I’m gonna go ahead and pin this on you,” you hear your brother say as they watch the mess they’re already making.
“Who are you to say anything,” Sukuna mutters.
As if remembering that you’re all watching his battle, Satoru catches sight of one of Mei-Mei’s birds and looks surprised.
“Gojo’s limitless allows him to be completely untouchable,” Choso breaks the tense silence that filled the room, breaking your attention away from the screens to watch him as he spoke. “Sukuna is using domain amplification to neutralize his cursed technique. Domain amplification,” he repeats that last bit with what sounds to be surprise.
“I saw something similar in Mechamaru’s footage,” Okkotsu follows by saying. “That special grade cursed spirit used the same method in Shibuya to counter limitless.”
“It does seem that Gojo’s domain has been neutralized,” Hakari agrees before he follows up with a question. “But how?”
“It’s a more refined version of a simple domain,” Kusakabe answers. “By sheathing yourself in a domain without imbuing your own cursed technique, you allow your opponent's technique to flow into that empty space, thereby neutralizing it.”
“Can you do that Kusakabe?”
“Don’t be ridiculous, ‘course I can’t,” he spats back.
“The main drawback to domain amplification is that you can’t simultaneously use your own innate technique,” Angel interjects, making Panda cut in with a question.
“Wait doesn’t that mean Sukuna is fighting Satoru without a cursed technique?”
“Yes,” Angel responds. “Even Sukuna is no exception to this rule. So in other words, if Sukuna has some way to deal with limitless other than domain amplification Gojo will lose.”
You sigh and avert your gaze.
“If that’s the case,” Miwa shares her own thoughts. “Why isn’t Sukuna using Domain expansion?”
“It’s easy to say that,” you tell her and pull your eyes off the ground to look over at her. “But depending on the outcome of that domain battle, the fight would be over.”
“Isn’t that a good thing?” She asks and briefly meets your gaze before you look over at Kirara as they cut in with worry.
“That’s true! Why isn’t he doin’ that?!”
“Doesn’t the domain's sure hit effect negate Satoru’s technique in the first place?” Kirara follows up by saying, making Yuji respond.
“He told me that himself when we were in a cursed spirits domain.”
“Could it be that Sukuna doesn’t think he can win against Satoru Gojo in a domain battle?” Ui-Ui, Mei-Mei’s brother asks the crowd.
“No.” You shake your head, and Shoko bounces in to continue for you.
“If that were the case, Gojo would already be using domain expansion. I’d find it hard to believe that Gojo wouldn't be able to see that, with the six eyes and his shitty personality.”
You crack a soft smile whilst Choso crosses his arms over his chest and tucks your hand between his arms to keep your hand connected with his.
“What if their domains don’t actually clash?” Choso questions. “Based on what Inumaki and Yuji have said, I don’t think Sukuna’s domain expansion actually closes off a barrier.”
“Huh?!” Kusakabe gasps. “Bullishit.”
“I can't believe that,” Kashimo mutters.
“That’s insane,” Hakari says, and Okkotsu cuts in too.
“That’s absurd right?”
“Oh!” Miwa exclaims. “Is it that crazy?”
“Miwa toss me that water,” you hear Kusakabe order the girl around, and when she does toss him a bottle he stops her and complains.
Does he want the water in a cup with an umbrella on it or what?
It’s a good thing Miwa throws the water on his face, why is he being so picky about it?
“Expanding a domain without closing a barrier is just like that,” Mei-Mei uses what just happened as an example. “With no container, can water accumulate? Can you paint on empty air without a canvas? With no stem, roots, or leaves, can a flower bloom from a seed? It’s like using software without any hardware. At any rate, it’s completely impossible!”
“Megumi’s incomplete domain wasn’t enclosed within a barrier though,” Maki points out.
“I heard about that before the grade promotion assessment,” Kusakabe says. “Still, to do that he needed buildings or existing barriers to enclose his domain. That’s small potatoes compared to what’s going on now.”
“But Noritoshi Kamo—Kenjaku,” Choso corrects himself as he interjects to explain something. “…Managed to pull it off.”
You nod and chime in too. “We had planned for Yuki to counter his domain expansion with a simple domain while Tengen dismantled it from the outside.”
“However,” Choso bounces in. “The simple domain was torn apart in the blink of an eye, but if she had expanded her own domain.”
“It wouldn't have been a true domain battle,” you argue. “Though perhaps if she had expanded her own domain. There may have been a battle for Yuki’s sure-hit effect.”
“But what exactly would clash?” Choso asks.
You shrug. “Who knows.”
“Isn’t it literally against the sure-hit effect?” Miwa asks curiously.
“Given that the Sure-hit effect is imbued within the barrier itself,” you answer her. “It can only clash with another barrier.”
“You guys’re talking about their domains as if it’s a given, but that stuff devours an insane amount of cursed energy doesn’t it?” Ino breaks his silence to ask. “So shouldn’t they avoid usin’ it up thoughtlessly?”
“Fish flakes,” Inumaki says, and somehow Okkotsu understands him enough to bounce off his comment.
“It’s just as Inumaki says there’s no limit to Gojo’s cursed energy.”
“But that’s only because of how freakin’ efficient he is,” Ino continues to say. “His cursed energy consumption ends up being less than what he naturally replenishes overtime. But isn’t that working under the assumption he’s using it like normal? If he starts using domain expansion over ‘n over again consecutively, it’ll be a different story. And Sukuna?”
“He’s unreal,” Kashimo sneers. “The sharpness of his techniques activation, the way he can turn on a dime from using amplification to his innate technique…if Satoru Gojo didn’t have the six eyes, Sukuna would likely be winning in terms of efficiency in utilizing cursed energy.”
You sigh in frustration at all that’s being said, and Okkotsu interjects. “What's more, his total cursed energy is even more than mine. Going purely off intuition, I’d say by more than double. In other words, when it comes to these two, cursed energy is not the limiting factor for why they aren’t expanding their domains.”
“Maybe it’s just that nobody, not even the two of them, knows exactly how this is gonna play out,” Nishimiya says. “If Satoru Gojo and Sukuna Ryomen’s domains were to clash, who knows what would happen.”
“Hey,” Higuruma calls for everyone’s attention. “Here it comes.”
You look back at the screen after hearing the discussion and catch both Sukuna and Satoru doing a domain expansion at the exact same time, cutting off all sight of them as a large domain traps them both inside.
“They’re evenly matched,” you point out and stand up as if that would help you catch sight of your brother from within the domain. “Within the barrier, they are evenly matched.”
Nevertheless, parts of Sukuna’s domain literally starts branching out of Satoru’s domain.
“The barrier of a domain is weak against attacks from the outside!” Yuji yells out and moments later the domain explodes and all you see is Sukuna’s domain, and your brother facing him from the ground with shock.
“Come on,” you plead quietly and hold your hands together.
From one moment to the next a slash hits Satoru on his throat, right on his jugular! And you know most of all that any hit there can be deadly.
“Satoru!” You yell out with panic and fear for your dear brother's life.

You sigh out softly and laugh to yourself. Can you really deal with two friends getting together? You’ll be left as a third wheeler and that seriously doesn’t sound like it’ll be fun at all. The line seems to be moving a bit faster now that there is an even louder person in your party. He’s talking a lot, so it fills in the empty void when you don’t know what to say or how to join Kaede and Sukuna’s conversation. It doesn’t last too long since Satoru finally shuts up and lets them talk about what they think the jumpscares inside will be like. Well since you’re so curious about his friends and this is the very first you’re meeting, you suppose you could talk to him more. You nudge him gently to catch his attention and he turns almost instantly with the same bright smile. He kind of reminds you of Kazuya, only a hundred times more hyper.
“You’re the Adonis in your family, right?” you ask boldly, a sly smile growing on your lips. What you fail to realize is that Sukuna has suddenly stopped listening to Kaede and is now listening in on your conversation with his friend.
You seem to have caught Satoru off guard as he scratches the back of his neck and hums for a response, “well,” he laughs cheerfully, “that’s quite the compliment.” He takes another step forward with you, “I’m not sure how to respond, which is quite rare, since I always have the upper hand.”
Seeing as you’ve made him speechless, it makes you smile even more, “there’s no need to say anything, Satoru. It’s just a genuine compliment from me.”
“Still, I’m quite flattered,” his hand reaches over his heart, and he closes his eyes dramatically, playfully going along with whatever you’re saying. In truth, he was caught off guard and tongue-tied at your sudden bold statement, but he can read you easily. Do you even realize that you have a crush on Sukuna? If you don’t then he might as well gouge out his eyes and jump into a river. His intuition has never been wrong, ever. Anyway, it was just a simple compliment from you, it’s no different from all the other compliments he’s received from anyone else.
Again, you nudge him, “consider yourself lucky to have eyes like yours. I’d fall too deeply if I stared too long.”
“Oh?” Satoru chuckles connivingly. Perhaps you don’t realize it, but maybe you’re suddenly flirting to make Sukuna jealous? Whatever it is, he’ll go along for his own entertainment, “are you flirting with me or are you giving me an innocent compliment again?”
Shit, what the hell are you doing? This man is attractive too, but you don’t know why you’re even saying all of this. Maybe you’re upset that Sukuna and Kaede are flirting in front of you, so you’re flirting with Satoru to not feel so left out? Yeah, maybe that’s it. Whatever.
“A little bit of both, I’d say.”
Satoru grins and leans down to your level, speaking quietly so that Sukuna can no longer listen, if he wasn’t already, “and what would Sukuna say if he saw you doing this?” Sure, it looks like he’s really immersed in his conversation with Kaede, but Satoru just knows his friend’s ears are perked up.
You begin to whisper as well, “it’s not like he’d care.”
He giggles into your ear, making you squirm from the sensation. You still as soon as you rub your ear a few times and continue to listen. Satoru drags out a hum, “I’d beg to differ.”
Your eyebrows furrow and you turn to face Satoru head on, your faces merely inches away from each other, “what’s that supposed to mean?”
The person from behind gently taps your shoulder, “excuse me? Could you guys step up?”
You had been so distracted with Satoru that you completely forgot to step up in line, causing a huge gap to form. Satoru apologizes shortly and motions for you to go up with him, “let’s just get goin’ before he rages and yells at me for something I didn’t do.”
You walk up with him, “it’s happened?”
“More than he lets on, I guess.”
Your face falls flat, “again, what’s that supposed to mean?”
Satoru just shakes his head at you, “Nothin’. Come on, angel face.”
“Okay, Adonis.” you laugh, finally catching up with Sukuna and Kaede.
When you’re caught up, Kaede turns around and crosses her arms at you, “about time. You guys were so busy flirting back there that we were just gonna ditch you.”
“Why,” you grin, “scared?”
Kaede holds your hand again and shrugs, “no, but we thought the people in the line would get mad at you guys and try to kick you guys out.”
Just then, a scare actor runs towards the line and jumps at the people behind you guys, causing everyone to shriek and laugh. Sukuna is smiling down at you this time but he doesn’t say anything to you. He’s not talking to you like he did with Kaede. Instead, he turns to Satoru, “why are you here alone anyway? Did you come by yourself?”
Satoru clicks his tongue and shifts his weight from one leg to the other, “nope. I came here with some chick I’ve been talking to, but her boyfriend came and dragged her outta here. It wasn’t my problem, so I just texted you to see if you wanted to come in her absence and by fate, you were already here!”
You click your tongue at him, “you were talking to someone who was in a relationship?”
The white-haired friend just smirks and leans onto Sukuna, “don’t let your boyfriend and/or girlfriend stop you from finding true love.”
“Gosh,” Kaede sighs, shaking her head at the promiscuous man.
♡ ♡ ♡
Finally, the time has come. Your group is all the way at the front just waiting to be let in after the group in front of you. They let specifically a group of 4-6 in after about five minutes to let the previous group get a bitch further away, to avoid any collision. The fact that the horror house is two levels is kind of nerve wrecking but at least there’s a big green slide with a ball pit at the bottom that you come out of to relieve all the built-up stress. Whoever came up with the idea of the end escape being a slide needs a reward, you think. The employee greets you all and hands each of you a small paper with directions.
“Make sure to thoroughly explore the house and have fun. We ask that no one resorts to physical violence, as this is all part of an experience, so with that, welcome to the horror house.” She explains and finally lets your group in. Everyone is walking slowly and cautiously, watching for anything that seems off. The place is completely dark, aside from the blinking lights and some glowing arrows that let you know where to go. Sukuna has managed to get beside you, making sure that there’s no one creeping up on you while Satoru and Kaede walk behind you with the two other strangers. Okay, to be honest, you’re on high alert. Watching scary movies and actually being in this kind of situation are two completely different things. Your heart is pounding fast as the adrenaline of being surprised rushes through you. As you guys explore the first floor, there are only small jumpscares. They’re really random, but since it’s all sensors, it’s not too bad. The floors creek beneath every step and there is a faint crying coming from one of the rooms.
You each enter one by one, and you can feel Kaede clutch onto the back of your shirt, causing you to stiffen. Sukuna is still quiet, but his friend is being funnily loud. He’s purposefully screaming and making fake crying sounds as well to have fun and it really lightens the mood, since the couple in the back is laughing along with you guys. You guys all disperse in the room, just looking around and chatting when a hand from under the bed grabs Sukuna's ankle and he jumps before walking away. He makes his way towards you again but Kaede shrieks, grabbing everyone's attention. Coming out from under the bed is a woman dressed in white with long black hair and blood down her cheeks. She’s crawling at you guys’ petty fucking fast, so you let out a small scream and book it for the door, ditching everyone else. They all follow after you, a mixture of laughter decorating the air. Right at that moment, someone comes running at you guys in the dark and manages to grab one of the strangers.
“Ah! Help me!”
He screams desperately while Sukuna laughs and manages to help free him. By now, you guys hear the next group of people getting ready to be let in and another scare worker jumps out at you guys, which makes you panic and disperse. Satoru ended up screaming the loudest and ran up the stairs with the strangers while you, Kaede and Sukuna ran for the elevator. Whether the elevator is meant to stall or not, it’s creepy. The light from above flashes and you’re stuck to the side of the elevator wall, which sounded hollow when you bumped against it. You’re behind Sukuna, leaving the space behind Kaede empty and through the small flashes of light, you can see that Kaede is visibly shaking but she’s trying to laugh off her fear. You, on the other hand, prefer to keep your ego and act like you aren’t that scared. Just as the elevator shakes, you all hear crying from the elevator. It’s coming from behind you guys and again, it’s a woman. You’re a bit scared even though you know she’s just an actress, but it all disappears when you see that Sukuna suddenly reaches for Kaede’s hand.
“Don’t look at her,” he tells her, trying to reassure her that it’s okay and fake. Still, Kaede’s head tries to look back while a small cry comes out from her. She begins to let out soft, broken whimpers as she looks from the corners of her eyes.
Again, he speaks in a low voice, “don’t look at her, Kaede.”
By now, she’s straight up shaking and crying. You see Kaede’s head slowly turning around to look behind her, despite what Sukuna is saying.
“Don’t look!”
Sukuna’s hand rises and grips Kaede’s head. He pulls her into his chest to shield her from the actress in the back. Whoever is watching the security footage must think this scene is really romantic and they’re probably pitying you for being a third wheel in this. Your prayers have been heard because the elevator finally dings and you reach the second floor. All of this didn’t even last that long but it felt like forever. How funny is that? You watch them scurry out without you and you follow after. Just then, a cold hand grips your upper arm and yanks you towards them.
“Huh?!”
In your state of shock, you look up and see that it’s Satoru. That jerk! “Oh,” he beams, “thank god it’s the right person! I mean, even if it was Kaede it would’ve been fine, but my target was you!”
Your mouth falls agape but you laugh upon the realization that it’s him, “you scared me!”
“That was the point, y/n. We were waiting for you guys so we could continue, right?” Satoru asks behind him, directing his question to the two strangers. He must’ve become friends with them for now, seeing as they’re all talking informally. The couple agrees and he releases you while pointing ahead at Sukuna, who is busy patting Kaede’s shoulder, “why is she crying? Did you break her heart or something?”
“Oh, no. Kaede doesn’t do that good with horror,” you laugh, jogging to catch up with the rest. The second floor of the horror house had more scare impact and involved more actors. They did not hesitate to scream at you, chase you and even grab you. But the ending is fun. There are two employees waiting and asking if it was fun, then they give you each a stamp of success and send you down the slide one by one. All in all, it was a pretty fun experience, aside from feeling kind of left out here and there. You’re just glad that Sukuna’s friend kept you feeling involved.
(A/n: I know I didn’t describe the experience that scary, but let’s just pretend that it is super scary, okay? Okay lol.)
“I’m kind of hungry again,” Kaede sniffles, wiping at her tear-stained face.
You pout at her and help wipe the tears away with a small laugh, “you’re such a scaredy cat, Kaede~” You tease her lightheartedly, choosing to forget the way you felt inside. She was scared and Sukuna was just being a good friend and consoling her when you couldn’t. You’re glad that he was there to “protect” her or whatever, since you might’ve ditched her if you were alone with her.
“As if you aren’t. I saw you getting scared silently,” Sukuna snickers, pinching at your cheeks with a hard grip. It makes you wince, and you hurriedly swat his hands away from you, “stop pinching me! It hurts!”
The table you guys find is again, luckily big enough for you all. Satoru sits next to Sukuna, “what happened in the elevator anyway? I took the stairs and almost pissed myself.”
Sukuna’s lips jut out as he fumbles with a straw wrapper the previous people had left behind, “I guess the point in entering the elevator was for a predictable scare. You know it’s coming but I guess it’s still unnerving. Someone was in there with us, but I don’t know when they entered.”
You think back to the hollow walls and clap your hands, “the walls were hollow so there must’ve been a crawl space for someone to hide and then when everyone is distracted, they come out quietly and boom, she’s in and crying.”
Satoru coos towards Kaede and chuckles in a high-pitched tone, “that’s what got you crying? Poor girl.”
“Don’t talk about it.”
Kaede begins to hide behind her hands at the embarrassment, but it only makes them tease her more. Your eyes linger on Satoru, and you giggle, “what happened with the two strangers?”
He blows a few raspberries and acts shy, like Kaede, “well they had someone hiding somewhere too and they chased our asses up the stairs at inhuman speed.” His eyes widen and he grabs Sukuna’s forearm, “they must’ve trained hard and hired the fastest crawler! I don’t even know how many times they grabbed my ankle alone.”
“I should’ve taken the stairs,” you let out, your tone sounding a tiny bit… petty. Sukuna isn’t even looking at you. He’s more focused on whatever Satoru is doing (he’s acting cute… in a cringy way, on purpose).
There’s a grin on your lips as you look around. The lines for food seem pretty long, so you speak, “two of us should order. Is everyone okay with the same thing?”
“I don’t mind,” Kaede comments.
“Me either.”
“Okay, I’ll go order. You guys make sure no one else tries to sit here.” You stand up and Satoru does too, “I’ll come along.”
“No, I will,” Sukuna grunts, standing as well. You look at both men with a straight face, “so who will it be?”
Satoru pouts, “I can’t let you pay for all of it. I’ll come with you and it’ll be my treat.”
“I’ll go with her, Satoru. Just watch our shit.”
“But–”
“If you want to pay so badly then give me your card,” Sukuna smirks, holding his hand out.
Satoru just smiles along and hands him the card in a defeated way, waving a small ‘bye’ to you before sitting down again and talking to Kaede. You’re already walking since you don’t want the line to form even longer.
“Yo.”
“Yo,” you respond, waiting for him to catch up.
Sukuna waits behind you in line, hovering right above you. You’re not surprised when he lays his chin on the top of your head while his hands stay stuffed in his pockets, “can I ask you something?”
You nod, “go ahead.”
There he goes, being all silent again. What game is he playing this time? You both step up in sync and you’re about to break contact with him so you can hold a proper conversation, but he finally opens his mouth again.
“What’s up with you calling Satoru ‘Adonis’?”
It’s really just a name, no true meaning to it. Still, you grin, “jealous or something?”
“A bit,” he admits. You’re caught off guard. He’s jealous? Ryomen Sukuna? Jealous? There’s just no way. What would he even be jealous about?
“What?” You can hear your own voice and the surprise that’s laced in it. Upon feeling the pace of your heart speed up, you try to focus on your surroundings as a distraction. You listen in on the loud chatter from all directions, you smell all the tempting scents that engulf the area, and your eyes focus on the many bright lights that flash with life. The heat of Sukuna’s body keeps you on your toes as well, since he’s been so out of character as of lately.
Sukuna’s chin still lays on top of your head and he steps even closer, pressing his chest into your back, “I am jealous.”
“Why would you be?”
Is it normal for friends to be jealous? Surely to some extent, right? But what would you know? This is the first time it’s happened, for the both of you, maybe. Sukuna exhales slowly from his mouth, “just am.”
You’re a bit shocked at his honestly, to say the least, but at least he feels comfortable enough to let you know these things. Your smile grows mischievous, and you spin around to face him, breaking his current skin contact with you, “okay, then I’ll call you Ares.”
“Change his.”
Sukuna’s tone falls dead and the look in his eyes is something you can’t really decipher. Why does he look like that? Are you tripping or does he look a bit hurt? Whatever it is, it makes you want to tease him more, so you do. You chuckle, “he can be Apollo.”
Sukuna’s jaw hangs, “you can’t be serious. He still has a name with good meaning.”
“Then he can stick with Adonis. It just means he’s a pretty man, Sukuna.”
He looks away from you, choosing to look elsewhere, “whatever. I don’t care anymore.”
Score. Just the reaction you were looking for. It makes you push into his chest with your index finger, “someone’s jealous.”
“I’m not,” he spits out.
“Yes, you are.”
“Are not.”
“Are too.”
Sukuna glares at you with irritation growing in his eyes, “shut up.”
It only makes you want to keep going, so you hold your nose up high and mighty, “and if I don’t want to?”
By now, you’re not fazed at the fact that he lowers his face down. It’s happened so much that you know not to get surprised. Sukuna’s eyes squint as he stares into yours and he keeps a heavy frown on his lips as he speaks to you, “then I’ll simply give you a reason to shut up.”
This specific threat has you nervous. Is he implying that he’d kiss you? No way, he wouldn’t. You scoff in his face with a frown as well, “you wouldn’t dare.”
Just like that, a smirk grows on his lips and he lowers himself even more, all while keeping eye contact, “dare me.”
Okay okay, he wins. You groan and back away with defeat, “no way.”
Sukuna is back to being a smug little asshole and drapes his heavy ass arm around your shoulders, “that’s what I thought.”
The rest of the night is filled with continuous laughter, but your eyes can’t seem to leave Sukuna while your hand clutches onto your phone. You’re filled with horrid guilt and it’s gnawing at your heart every time you think of Kazuya. Satoru’s been talking to you an awful lot though, mainly to fill in the long spaces of silence you trail. He actually talks a lot, like that one annoying kid that just won’t shut up. He is tolerable, however. Perhaps it’s because he’s hilarious that it’s not too bad. Sukuna only talks to you here and there, just like before, but after the tension from before, you’re unsure of what to say.
♡ ♡ ♡
Another month has passed and you haven’t been keeping count on how long you’ve known Sukuna now. He’s part of your daily routine, but so is Kazuya. You feel bad for the man, since you know he’s openly pining for you, but you just can’t seem to feel the same way. He’s sweet, so sweet, but he feels more like a friend. Every time you’ve brought it up, he’d always say that he was patient and was willing to take things however slow you wanted. So, bad life decisions start with bad influences, right? If you were being completely honest, you think Sukuna isn’t enough to confirm your curiosity. He’s one of the main things in your life at the moment, so testing this theory out with him just wouldn’t work. You have to try it out with someone else, to see if you feel the same way you do with them as you do around Sukuna. It all doesn’t make that much sense, right? You know. But it’s something you’re willing to try. You had asked Sukuna to take you to a party or something, since he claims he has other friends. You weren’t sure when you were going to get a response, since he ignored you. You even mentioned going to the club together so you could start your little mission (Sukuna has no idea what your theory is, in fact, he has no idea what’s going on in that bizarre head of yours).
“Y/n?”
Your mother’s voice comes from down the hall, so you peek out of your room and look at her with wide eyes, “yes?” She’s got on her fancy little dress and an extravagant coat, the one your dad got her last year, and marches towards you with a bright smile, “you remember what today is, right?”
“How could I forget,” you sigh, “go have fun on your anniversary. Please use safety.”
She laughs joyously, “why? Don’t you want a little sibling?”
The gag you release is over the top and exaggerated but it only ends with the both of you sharing a laugh. Still, the thought of your parents fucking like rabbits is not something you want to imagine. Your fingers find place in her curls and you’re helping her fix them in place before she leaves, “I’m watching all of Ayumi’s kids tonight, right?”
“Oh, no,” she giggles a bit and waltzes into your room to take another look in the mirror, “you’re only watching her youngest today. That cousin of yours,” her lips pop as she reapplies her lipstick, “always popping out kids left and right.”
You stare at the back of her figure with a crooked grin, “she only has three kids, mom. I’m thrilled to be an aunt, at least.”
“Yeah well, don’t wait up for us. Your father has plans so we might not make it back home. Ayumi said she’d drop her kids off in a bit, so until then, sit still and don’t try going anywhere.”
You follow her out to the door and give your dad a side hug in the meantime, “don’t worry about me. Just don’t have too much fun, alright?”
Your dad bursts out laughing and ruffles your hair, “don’t feel threatened, sweetheart. You’ll still be my favorite.”
“The age gap between us will be crazy,” you sulk, knowing that they’re only playing.
After a small time of bickering, they finally leave and it’s not long before Ayumi pulls up. Her hair is chopped over her shoulders and she has big bright eyes, even after birthing three children. She hurries over to you with Hotaru in her arms, “y/n! I’ve missed you.”
You hug her back and immediately take Hotaru from her, “where are your other two boys?”
Ayumi welcomes herself in and places a duffel filled with baby items onto the couch, “sorry for coming to drop him off last minute. I know that you’re busy and all too but, Asa and I wanted to take our boys to Disneyland, and it would be a bit of a hassle to bring Hotaru since he’s only one and a half. His brothers are really naughty and run off a lot.”
Her explanation certainly earns your pity. It must be tough being a mom and all. After a bit of catching up, she tells you all of the basics and that he’s not fussy so today should fly by in an instant, though you know it’s not anything she can promise. You take a good look at Hotaru and see that he has big doe eyes, soft puffy cheeks and a cute bowl cut hairstyle. He’s pretty cute, if you say so yourself. It’s also a good thing that he doesn’t particularly seem picky with whoever is holding him either.
“Hotaru can babble here and there and converse with you just a tiny bit so it shouldn’t be too hard to read him when he needs something,” she looks at the time of her phone and then back at you, “he’s also learning how to walk, so he can stumble about for a bit before his legs grow tired. He’s a pretty fast learner so just watch him because he likes to wander when he gets comfortable around you. Other than that, he’s an easy kid to watch. I can’t thank you enough, y/n.”
You jump a bit to readjust Hotaru on your hips and shake your head with a soft smile, “I really don’t mind at all. If you ever need me to watch Hotaru or the other two, just let me know beforehand. Go have fun, I bet they’re all waiting for you in the car.”
Ayumi reaches over and coos at him for a few more seconds before kissing his cheek and eventually leaving. You both wave bye to the car and then you turn back around to enter the house. You place Hotaru down on the couch and tap your foot against the floor as you look for something to put on for him. The first hour seems to go by just fine. All you did was feed him and watch tv with him.
Sukuna ^.^: I’m bored.
Halfie: Go play then.
Sukuna ^.^: I’m on my way.
Halfie: I’m busy today. Go play with Kaede.
Sukuna ^.^: I already did. She had to leave early.
That annoys you. It bothers you a lot. Now you feel a sudden prick in the back of your neck and you know that it’s just unreasonable irritation spiking. You look down at Hotaru, who is staring right back at you. He’s not that expressive… but at least he’s not crying?
Halfie: You can’t come.
Now you’re even more annoyed. Why? Because that fucker left you on read. Out of boredom, you grab Hotaru’s baby duffel and dig through it. There are lots of diapers, toys and packaged food and flavored rice puff snacks. You gently poke at Hotaru’s chubby stomach, “aye, can you eat solids already? I don’t see formula here.” All he does is smile and nod. You have to admit that the atmosphere is a bit awkward due to the fact that you two have no prior interaction at all. Are you doing well for the first meeting? He’s a baby, so it shouldn’t matter, right? You continue to watch whatever is on the screen and it’s quiet for a long while until you hear your phone buzz.
Sukuna ^.^: I’m here.
Sukuna ^.^: Open your window for me.
You take a moment to look at Hotaru once more. His hands are focused on playing with a toy while his eyes remain on the tv, so leaving him alone for a short second wouldn’t hurt. He won’t even know what’s going on. With that in mind, you stand from the couch and dash to your room. Your eyes glare daggers at Sukuna through the window as he waits to be let in.
“Hurry,” he mouths.
You’re only quick to let him in because you have a child in need in the other room. You can see that he’s surprised by your obedience though. He crawls in quickly and shuts the window, “your door is open you know? What if your folks see me?”
“I said I was busy, yet you still decided to come. How ignorant,” you spit out, crossing your arms at him. Sukuna’s frown drags deeper at your comment, “what’s up your ass today?”
You move out of his way, “nothing. My parents aren’t home, but please behave.”
His eyes grow mischievous at that, “really? As in, I’m free to walk around?”
“Yes, but my hands are tied, so behave.”
“What do you mean?”
“I’m watching my nephew today,” you’re already leaving your room with him trailing behind, “so you won’t have fun today.”
Sukuna groans out loud, “he can take care of himself.”
He steps into your living room and his eyes fall on the couch and the small head of hair that peeks out. Him being naturally curious, he comes closer, and his fingers grab at the soft locks, “oh. He’s younger than I imagined.”
“Yes,” you laugh out loud and sit back down on the couch again, “which is exactly why you wasted your time coming here. There’ll be nothing for you to do.”
Sukuna wastes no time in stepping over the couch to seat himself between you and Hotaru, “well I guess I can help you watch the kid. I don’t know how to, but there’s always a first for everything, right?”
The way he smiles in a determined way has your heart pounding just a slight bit harder and you’re not sure how to decipher it. You don’t know whether you’re anxious about Sukuna or if you find his efforts endearing in some way. The two of you are pretty busy with Hotaru throughout the day but Sukuna seems to be having a bit of fun, even if he denies it. The reason why you say this is because he’s actually laughing with the kid as they play. Oh, and he’s also eating the rice puff snacks too. You think he ate more than Hotaru did but that’s not too big of a deal, you think. Ayumi didn’t mention that it’d be hard to get the kid to fall asleep. You and Sukuna have been trying to wear him out for a while now, but the kid won’t get tired. When you think about it, Sukuna has probably been here for about seven hours, since it’s 6pm now. You fed Hotaru and Sukuna about two hours ago, so they should be fine for now which means you can relax a bit more. You really thought that Hotaru might be frightened by the man but he’s surprisingly a fan of him, given he’s laughing a lot right now as you make your way back to them.
“What’s so funny?”
Hotaru beams at you innocently and points to Sukuna. He’s currently crashing two toy buses and making dramatic sound effects. He even goes as far as making a high-pitched woman-like voice that screeches for help. The whole thing isn’t a laughing matter at all; it’s quite concerning. Still, you’re just glad that Sukuna is here. A long yawn comes out from your mouth as you silently stretch behind them. Since it seems like Sukuna is pretty reliable and comfortable being alone with Hotaru, you figure it can’t hurt to lay down for a bit.
“I’ll be right back,” you say as you get up. Sukuna doesn’t even glance back at you, since he’s so busy acting out a crime scene with your laughing nephew. All he does is hum a short “mhm” then proceeds with his stupid little skit. Oh well. Your back finds solace in your soft bed and you only meant to close your eyes for a few seconds. Well, a few seconds happened to turn into half an hour.
In Sukuna’s mind, he’s wondering where the fuck you went. Why did you leave him alone with the kid? Don’t tell him you went out and ditched him here. He did not come here to babysit. In fact, he came here for you, not the kid! His impatient eyes scan the area once more and he pouts when you’re nowhere in sight. The only noise is the sound emitting from whatever show is playing on the tv. His attention is brought back when he sees Hotaru’s face scrunching up. As cute as the kid looks, he doesn’t like where this is going.
“What’s wrong, kid?”
“Bubu…”
The stench is faint, but he asks the question anyways, “what’s with that stench?”
Hotaru’s doe eyes blink not once but twice as he replies, “bu…”
“Did you just?!” Sukuna’s eyes widen with disbelief as he realizes the situation. He looks around for you once more and then furrows his eyebrows, “change your diapers?? Did you poop?!”
“Poop,” Hotaru confirms with a string of laughter. It’s cut short as he scrunches his face again, a sign that he’s still in the middle of shitting.
Sukuna immediately leans back, his back hitting the couch as he does so, “I don’t know how to change a diaper! Y/n!” Sukuna grumbles a few profanities as his hands reach under Hotaru’s armpits. He picks the kid up and carries him while walking back and forth, “y/n? Your nephew, uh… he pooped.” There’s still no response, so Sukuna sighs once more, “y/n? Where are you?”
His feet begin to move and the first place he looks for is obviously your bedroom. He peeks in and feels irritation rising, “fuck…” Sukuna walks over to you and peers at you, “you’re asleep? Seriously?” He lays Hotaru down on the bed and crosses his arms as he begins to talk to him, “should I wake her or not?” Obviously, he doesn’t expect Hotaru to respond, so he looks at you again, an unwanted smile stretching on his face, “she looks peaceful though and seemed tired before…” He’s groaning a lot today, but he manages to push your hair out of your face and throw the blanket over you, “fucking shit.”
“Come on, fat boy. Let’s get you changed out of that stupid ass diaper,” Sukuna picks Hotaru up and earns himself a smack from said fat boy. Apparently, he doesn’t like the nickname. Sukuna walks out of your room, “goodnight, y/n. Sweet dreams.”
Sukuna is back in the living room and digs through the duffel. He finds a small, soft rolled up mat and lays it out on the floor. He gently lays Hotaru down on it and pulls his pants off with a heavy frown. Sukuna really has no fucking clue on what to do so he whips out his phone, “let’s see… youtube.” He watches a short three-minute tutorial and chuckles to himself while his fingers tickle at Hotaru’s belly to keep him entertained.
“Oh, that simple huh?”
Sukuna puts his phone down and begins to copy what the parenting video had shown him. He made sure to be very diligent as he worked.
“Okay, all done!”
He gives Hotaru a small pat to his butt and puts his pants back on him, “feel better, brat?” Hotaru nods willingly and yawns in his arms, probably because Sukuna provides natural body heat so it might be making him sleepy. Sukuna stands up and tosses the diaper in the trash, “let’s feed you something warm and then let’s go take a nap with your unreliable auntie, ‘cause I’m beat too.”
He carried Hotaru all while warming up the dashi on the stove and microwaving the small onigiri his mom had brought in a tupperware. He set aside a bowl of dashi and rice for himself as well while he waited for Hotaru’s food to cool down. Feeding the kid was pretty easy, since he already knew how to feed himself. All Sukuna had to do was observe him and blow on the soup a bit more to ensure he wouldn’t burn his tongue. Once they finished, he put the dishes in the sink and laughed maniacally, “y/n can do the dishes, since she left me alone to watch you. What kind of aunt is she, leaving you unattended with a stranger like me.”
Sukuna closed the bedroom door behind him with his foot and placed Hotaru near you, “don’t mind me. I’m just squeezing us in.”
You stir in your sleep, “hmm? I’m sleepy.”
Your eyes are still closed as your head points in the direction he’s in. Sukuna is currently hovering above you as he tries to tuck Hotaru in, “I know. Scoot over so we can nap too. I finally got the kid to fall asleep.” This catches your attention, so one eye opens to look at him, “really? How?”
Sukuna stifles a laugh, “I hit him in the head as hard as I could.”
You jump up in bed with big eyes, “did you really?! Let me see–”
“Shh!”
His hand clamps over your mouth and he ushers with his head to your side, “I’m kidding, jeez. I fed him some of the food from earlier and he knocked out as soon as we were done,” Sukuna pokes at your ribs harshly, “so move over so he and I can both rest too.”
“Just place him between us so he won’t roll off the bed. Go to sleep on the other side,” you readjust yourself to go back to sleep, but Sukuna clicks his tongue, “nope, I want to sleep beside you. The brat can beat it.”
You sit up once more and roll your eyes, “Sukuna, quit being a brat. He’s still a baby, so he needs to sleep caged in, in case he rolls around in his sleep.”
There are practically lightbulbs flashing above Sukuna’s head as his eyes glow, “I have an idea.”
“That is?”
“Go get your parents’ pillows and lay it at the edge of the bed so that he can’t roll off.”
It’s crazy how serious he sounds about this. Your face falls flat, “you’re that adamant on sleeping beside me?”
“Yup.” He doesn’t even hesitate. In fact, he’s staring you dead in the eyes.
You sigh for the nth time, “okay fine, but you’re still gonna have to sleep all the way at the edge. Hotaru has to stay in the middle of the bed, kind of.”
Sukuna grins softly, “fine by me. I don’t move much anyway.”
It takes you less than five minutes to march up the stairs and back with the pillows. It takes you less than a minute to set up the pillow cage around Hotaru while Sukuna closes your bedroom door again. Once you think he’s cushioned in enough, you get back into bed and watch Sukuna as he comes over, “did you lock my door?”
“Sure did,” he yawns, “let’s sleep.”
Sukuna shoves his way in beside you and frowns when you don’t immediately snuggle up beside him, “hurry and come cuddle me.”
You laugh at his obviousness, “Sukuna, we are friends. There is no need to constantly cuddle. Besides, I gotta make sure Hotaru doesn’t roll off.”
“He’ll be fine!” Sukuna groans. The ball of his fist comes up to rub his eyes as he continues, “the brat is all warm and snug, see?”
Well, he does have a point. The kid is snoring so cutely and doesn’t seem bothered whatsoever. You turn your back towards Sukuna, “you can hold me, but I’ll be facing Hotaru, not you.”
Sukuna ponders for a few seconds before giving up, “okay, you win.”
His big arms snake over your waist and he doesn’t waste a second to yank you back and pull you against his chest as his nose tickles the back of your head. Once he’s comfortable enough, he lets out a soft sigh against your neck and begins to doze off.
“Goodnight,” you whisper, darkness beginning to take over.
“Sweet dreams.”
♡ ♡ ♡
You’re the first one to wake up. It’s completely pitch black and when you remember that you’re babysitting, you immediately panic and try to sit up. A strong arm keeps you planted in position though, “stay still.”
Sukuna’s sleepy voice resonates through the darkness and you’re suddenly aware of how close his lips are to the back of your neck. You don’t bother to respond, but your arms reach under your pillow for your phone. It’s nine almost ten and there are no missed calls or messages from either of your parents. You did get a few texts from Ayumi and there are responses that you don’t remember sending. You figured Sukuna sent them while you guys were asleep.
Ayumi: How’s Hotaru? I hope he’s not giving you a hard time. Sorry that we’ve been gone for so long. My hubby can’t ever say no to the boys, so we’re here longer than expected. 8:23pm
Y/n: He’s fine. I got him to fall asleep. Take as long as you need, I’ve got it covered. 8:24pm
Ayumi: Thank you so much, y/n. I owe you! 8:24pm
Ayumi: Y/n~ Again, I’m sorry! I’m trying to persuade them to come home soon. I know that you’ve been with Hotaru for the whole day. You must be annoyed. 9:12pm
Y/n: Not at all. He’s eaten at least three times. 9:20pm
Y/n: Attachment: 1 image 9:25pm
Y/n: Still sleeping. Don’t worry. 9:25pm
Ayumi: You’re the best! I’ll let you know when we’re on our way. 9:25pm
The picture that he sent was of Hotaru sleeping with the pillow fort around him. It’s pretty adorable, you guess. Okay, it is adorable. You’re concerned with how Sukuna managed to get into your phone but that’s a problem for another day. You’re shocked that he didn’t try to mess around with Kazuya and text him something weird, but maybe he’s more mature than you let on? You wonder what else he was doing while you were asleep, so you click on your gallery. There are two of Hotaru sleeping and then there are a bunch of photos taken from above of you and Hotaru sleeping. It’s obvious that the photos are taken with flash from someone reaching over behind you, but they’re still cute regardless. The last three are taken of you three. Sukuna’s arm does look a bit awkward in the photos, but he managed to take such cute photos. And if you look closely enough, the corners of his lips are lightly turnt up. It’s cute.
“I couldn’t sleep with your phone going off,” Sukuna admits, his lips brushing your neck as he speaks. All he gets from you is a short “sorry.”
He removes his hands from you and gets off the bed to go turn the light on and he comes back looking for comfort. You take another second to look at Hotaru and see that he’s pretty peaceful before shuffling in the bed to face Sukuna. His chin is propped up on his fist as he stares down at you patiently.
“Sukuna.”
“Hmm? What do you need?”
A million things are running through your head, but Kaede is the main one. Earlier he said that he was already hanging out with her. Does he do this with her too? Is he just this close with anybody he meets? You inch a little closer to him, “I wanted to ask you a question.”
His eyes squinted a little, “you don’t need to tell me that.” Sukuna’s hand raises and he pushes your hair back to get it out of your tired face, “just say it.”
Your eyes flutter at the motion, “okay…”
“So what’s the question?”
Sukuna’s tone is lighthearted and playful, something he usually reserves. He only sounds like this when he’s really having a good time. You honestly have no idea why he would feel that way right now, but it means he’s in a good mood, so you shake off your nerves, “you know how you always come to my house at night and sleep with me?”
“Mhmm,” he hums, his tone still light and airy.
“Do you also hang out with Kaede like that?” You don’t mean to sound territorial over him, but it comes out just that way. You think you sound crazy, and you think Sukuna might think you’re crazy now. However, Sukuna just cocks his head as his eyes roll up to the corner to think, “maybe once. Why?”
Your heart feels heavy at his honesty. What the fuck is maybe once? Is it yes or no, dumbass. You clear your throat, “just asking. Do you sleep there too?”
“No,” this time Sukuna’s tone drops into that of something serious. His eyebrows pull down as he tries to read your eyes, “why?”
“Again, I’m just asking.”
“Why do you look like that then?” Sukuna’s free hand comes up to grip your chin as he observes your expression. Is he tripping or did he see a spark of jealousy in your eyes? Is he crazy or do you sound jealous? His heart skips a beat at the thought that you might be, but then again, you’re a bitch and you’re so confusing at times. He doesn’t want to overthink anything so minor; but if he has to be honest, you seem to be displaying weird looks at times, whether it be at Kaede or him. Like, if he’s too invested in talking to Kaede while you all hang out or something, you get a little weird. Okay, maybe not weird, but you do get distant, which makes him distant, since he doesn’t know how to approach you when you get like that. Even if he tried, you’d just brush it off and smile that fake little smile. Don’t get him started on how you’ll act all weird around him and then suddenly rub Kazuha in his face. You guys aren’t dating, you aren’t sure if you even like him, yet you won’t throw the guy away and friendzone him. What exactly are you doing? Then you come up to him and ask him to take you out partying, like??? He thought you were talking to Kazuha, why do you suddenly want to go out partying? Are you going through a partying phase? Rebellious phase? He doesn’t fucking know. You’re weird at times.
“Like what?” you ask that in such an oblivious tone that it makes him feel fucking stupid.
His eyes flick between yours once more before he releases your chin and backs up from you, “... never mind. It’s nothing.”
Sukuna gets up from the bed again and begins to put his shoes on, “your folks might come back soon, so I’ll get going before I cause trouble.”
You nod reluctantly and walk him towards the gate in the front, “are you going to walk all the way home?”
He pulls his phone out and sends a quick text before shaking his head and smiling, “nah. I’m gonna go to a convenience store nearby and have my chauffeur pick me up.”
Sukuna waits for you to unlock the gate and then ruffles your already messy hair as he walks out, “send me those photos of us with Hotaru.”
“You want them?”
The surprise in your voice is quite evident since it’s something you never thought Sukuna would want. The pictures are already something that you never thought Sukuna would take, yet here he is, doing just that. He spins around and shoots you a boyish smile, “yeah, I do.”
You get a text from Ayumi a little bit after and open the door to let her in. You were expecting her, but instead it was her husband, Asa. You greet him with a smile, “oh, long time no see!” He returns the expression and gives you a friendly hug, “I must’ve surprised you. Ayumi was going to come in, but she’s been running around with us all day. I felt bad, so I told her to relax.”
He steps inside respectfully and switches his outside shoes to house slippers as he follows you to the living room. You’re babbling about how it was all okay while you help him pack up the duffel. Asa laughs wholeheartedly, “it seems like you played with him a whole lot! The living room is littered with all the toys we packed him. Looks like an accident took place.”
“Right…” you laugh nervously. It did happen! Sukuna literally played out a car crash scene with lots of injuries. Asa zips up the duffle with a content smile, “thank you so much for taking such good care of Hotaru, y/n-san. We deeply appreciate your efforts.” He’s already halfway to doing a formal bow when you interrupt and laugh, “it’s fine, Asa-san! We are family, this shouldn’t even be something to thank me for. I’m happy as long as I was able to help. I hope you guys had a blast. I know that Hotaru is still too young to travel like that, so it was no problem at all.”
Frankly, you can’t take all the credit… since it was mainly Sukuna who watched and played with Hotaru. Asa waits outside your bedroom door as you go get Hotaru. You pick him up gently and bring him over to his dad, “we had fun here too, so don’t feel too bad. Have a safe trip back home.”
“Once again, thank you, y/n-san.”
You bid him farewell and wave eagerly at Ayumi through the car window. She returns the gesture, and you wait for their car to drive off before you close and lock the gates again. After hours of not receiving an update from your parents, your mom finally reached out and told you that they’d be spending the night at a luxurious hotel. Gross. You send her back a funny, yet snarky response about being responsible and all she sends back are eyeball emojis. You shower off the day and get ready for another round of sleep, but as you’re lying in bed, your phone buzzes.

“Do you think she knows?” A servant whispered to another. He trimmed the bushes lining the pathway to the main entrance of the Shirogane family’s residence with his back slightly turned so that his voice wouldn’t reach too far. There were eyes and ears everywhere so it never hurt to be too careful.
“Probably not.” The other replied, stopping momentarily to lean closer, his tone conspiratorial. “It’d be quite obvious if she knew…she’d be throwing a fit and whatnot, making her unhappiness known to everyone. It’s a good thing she doesn’t know otherwise we’d all be suffering and–”
“What are you whispering about?”
The two servants suddenly jumped at the sound of the Shirogane family’s prized daughter and immediately bowed their heads low in practiced prostration in hopes of appeasing her. But she would not be so easily tempered – she was used to bows like that, courtesy and respect weren’t given to her, it was owed to her. She didn’t give them permission to get up, so they stayed as they were, not daring to move or so much as utter a sound until she said something.
Hikaru had gloved hands crossed over her chest, fingers tapping impatiently against an arm. Trailing behind her was her poor maid, heaving and lagging behind her master with arms full of large, fancy boxes and decorated bags. Hikaru had probably just returned from a shopping trip in the city.
“Well?” she said, expectantly.
Neither of the servants bothered pointing out that they didn’t dare say anything since she hadn’t explicitly asked them because answering her prematurely could very well be a death sentence. Servants were reliant on the whims of their masters, and Hikaru was not a kind one.
“Are you going to tell me? Or shall I have the two of you strung up and inject mercury into your veins until you say something?”
They shuddered and fought the urge to cry out. Tales of the infamous torture technique of the Shirogane family were well known throughout the lands. It was a cruel method, one that slowly replaced every drop of blood in your veins with the silver mercury of the Shirogane family until nothing but mercury flowed through your body and your flesh bled pure silver.
One servant spoke hesitantly while the two kept themselves in prostrated positions. “We were…just wondering if my lady had heard that with my lady’s upcoming pre-nuptial celebration with Kamo Masaru that–”
“Well of course I know that,” she snapped, tapping her heels impatiently on the immaculately laid out stone path. “Tell me something I don’t know, or is that too much thinking for lowlifes like you? Too dumb and stupid to do anything except listen to your masters.” she sneered.
“Ah yes!” The servant squeaked, thin frame trembling like a leaf in the wind. “We were simply unsure if you heard that your cousin–”
“What about my cousin?” she interrupted again, staring hard at the cowering servant.
“That your cousin was going to come…” he finished lamely.
Hikaru was silent for a moment, long enough for the servants to sneak a peek at her before averting their gaze yet again when she screeched out a reply. “She’s coming? But that’s impossible! She can’t come because she should’ve–” Been killed or eaten or whatever by that monster! How was it possible that you were still alive, and not just alive, but well enough to return to the family home? It was impossible. Unbelievable. Hikaru wouldn’t believe anything about you until she heard from her grandmother.
Without even looking to see if her servant was following, she stormed through the main entrance in a hurry, disappearing in a flurry of voluminous skirts and ribbons and laces. The two servants who were trimming the bushes earlier cast Hikaru’s servant a sympathetic glance, but it was ultimately lost on her since she could hardly see atop her towering tower of boxes.
When they’d both left, the two servants turned towards each other and said the same thing to each other.
Fuck.
Tumblr media
Hikaru stormed through the hallways, anger in every thunderous step she took. Any servant or Shirogane family member who saw her knew to flee as soon as they heard and saw the fury on her face.
Hikaru needed answers. And she needed them now.
“Grandmother! Grandmother! Where are you?”
Shirogane Hatsuko sat behind her desk with a steaming cup of tea in one hand, the other on a book, and had her eyes closed, breath even, as she readied herself for whatever demands Hikaru was about to launch forth.
“Grandmother!” Hikaru slammed the door open with such force that the walls shook.
Hatsuko turned to the source of her disturbance, face wrinkled in great displeasure. “Hikaru. What have I said about slamming open doors? It’s unbecoming of the future head of the Shirogane family.” Not that Hikaru had to abide by any rules as the future head. She was the golden child, spoiled, and whatever rebukes Hatsuko had for her ultimately flew right over her head as she believed none of them applied to her.
“I’m sorry grandmother,” Hikaru said impatiently, not at all sorry. She plopped herself down in a cushion across from her grandmother, her layered skirts spread haphazardly in her haste. “But, grandmother! Do you even know what I heard from a servant just now? Something terrible!”
The Shirogane head took one look at her angry granddaughter, closed her eyes, and counted to three with practiced precision before she opened them slowly. She exhaled. “And pray tell me, Hikaru, what exactly did you hear?”
“That she's coming to my nuptial celebration! Is it true?”
Hatsuko set her tea cup on the table and smoothed non-existent wrinkles out of her kimono before placing her hands on her lap. “Yes it is, Hikaru. Your cousin is coming to the celebration, which should not be surprising to you. She is family, after all. Why are you so concerned?”
Hatsuko knew why, but politeness and niceties were sewn into every fiber of her being, in every word and every action, and this extended even to those she found unpleasant. And especially to family.
“Because I don’t want her to come,” she whined, squirming in her seat. “Can you find some way for her not to come? Make up an excuse or something? She’s such an eyesore and an absolute disgrace to our family! Imagine what the others would say if they saw her at the celebration! They’d make fun of me, I just know it!” Flinging herself across her grandmother’s tears, Hikaru wept, fat, theatrical tears, wetting her grandmother’s expensive kimono in the process. “You have to do something about it or I fear I will never recover from the shame, please grandmother!”
Hatsuko looked down at Hikaru and wondered how two people so close in age could be so different from each other. While you were humble and quiet, and lacked confidence and the inherited skills of the Shirogane family, Hikaru was arrogant and ostentatious, and confident, audacious even, in her cursed technique.
“She’s already been invited.” Hatsuko’s tone was final with no room for argument, but nevertheless, she tried to placate Hikaru, smoothing her black tresses which were curled and pinned up in a western fashion that she didn’t entirely approve of, but Hikaru liked it so she let her do as she pleased.
“Well just uninvite her or something,” Hikaru said petulantly against Hatsuko’s lap.
“I cannot, for it would be improper and reflect badly upon our family if we did not invite her.” Hatsuko worded her words carefully, knowing that if nothing else, Hikaru valued her reputation, and as such might see reason with her response.
Hikaru thought about it for a moment, brows knitted in deep thought, before she raised her head, frowning at her grandmother. “Fine.” She jutted her lower lips out. “But she has to be placed at the back, far away from the front of the table. Put her near all the lower-class families and branches. She’s already lucky enough to be invited so it shouldn’t be an issue for her.”
“If that is what you wish,” Hatsuko accepted. “Then I will arrange it as such.” It pained her to have to treat you like that, to add another heaping dose of prejudice into your overflowing cup, but there was little she could truly do.
Hikaru brightened immediately, already getting up and bounding towards the door upon completion of her task. “Thank you so much, grandmother! I knew you loved me more than her!”
Something deep inside Hatsuko twisted, like barbed wire embedding itself into flesh, and she fought the rise of bile that threatened to spill forth with her lies. She cleared her throat and straightened herself. “Of course, dear. You are the pride and joy of the Shirogane family. There is nothing we wouldn’t do for you.”
“I know,” she said sweetly, bouncing up and towards the door since she got what she wanted. Now she just had to devise a plan to humiliate you. Your husband probably wouldn’t deign to come with you because there was no way he’d love you enough to do so, so it would be easy to torment you.
A devious smile stretched across her beautiful face. “I’ll be going now! I can’t wait for the celebration!”
Hatsuko smiled thinly and watched her Hikaru leave, the giddy hum of the young woman an ominous sign of chaos to come.

In the days leading up to Hikaru’s nuptial celebrations and your informal visit back to the family, you’d felt listless and nervous, busying yourself with every task under the sun, almost robbing Momoka of all her tasks. Worried that you’d exhaust yourself, Sukuna had pulled you aside the day before, locked you in your shared room, and had so thoroughly fucked you multiple times that you felt too boneless to do anything.
Sukuna had accomplished his mission. And you had felt relaxed…until the next day.
“Do I look okay?” You fretted, mirror in hand as you meticulously smoothed your hair and every wrinkle you thought might be in your clothes.
Sukuna kissed the crown of your head, breathing in a mixture of jasmine from your shampoo and his favorite musky scent unique to you. “Of course, wife, you look stunning as per usual.”
“N-Not now,” you said nervously, stomach a coiled mess of knots and strings.“Or you’ll mess up my hair.” And much more than that.
“Then later?” he asked, heavily. His eyes dripped with liquid crimson, a syrupy promise of sweet desire and fulfillment.
You knew that look, found yourself craving it sometimes throughout the day (much to your distress), and pressed your thighs together at the sudden dull ache between your legs. “Yes, later,” you murmured.
The carriage hit a rock, almost jolting you from your seat, but Sukuna steadied you by trapping your legs inside his. The confined space made you overly aware of just how close he was, so close that you could feel the heat from his thighs seep into your kimono. He stayed like that, pressed against your legs, until he was satisfied and released his hold, leaving you bereft of his warmth.
Before you could dwell on the loss, he shifted over to make room for you on his side of the carriage, patting the space next time him in a silent command for you to come over. You started to get up, bending gingerly before he suddenly moved and tucked himself on your side of the carriage, almost squishing you with his massive frame. It would appear that one side of the carriage was just barely enough room for you and him.
“I was going to come over.” You gaped at him.
“But how could I let you do that? Especially with you wobbling all over the place? See.” He placed a hand on your thigh, squeezing the soft flesh lightly. “Even now, you’re shaking.”
You spluttered an excuse. “T-That’s because the carriage is moving! It’s not because of anything else!”
“Of course, wife.” He flashed white teeth, canines glinting sharply, dangerously close yet you weren’t afraid. There was something alluring about it, you thought, unconsciously leaning closer before you were mere inches from his lips.
A throaty chuckle broke you from your trance and you lurched backward, hoping he wouldn’t think too much about it.
“Sorry–I…didn’t mean–” Embarrassment colored your tone.
“Fascinated by them, are you, love?”
“They’re pretty,” you admitted, voice low like it was a secret. “I don’t know why I never noticed them until now.”
“They’re not so prominent unless I get excited.”
“Excited?” You cocked your head a bit to the side, confused. But why would he be excited right now?
“Aroused,” he amended with a sly smile. Sukuna kept his eyes trained on you, relishing the growing blush he could clearly see under the moonlight because of his enhanced senses.
Oh.
Oh.
Now that you thought about it, between bouts of lovemaking you hazily remembered seeing flashes of sharp canines, and could faintly remember accidentally touching something sharp momentarily when kissing him sometimes.
“If you keep looking at me like that, wife, I’ll want to devour you myself,” Sukuna drawled.
He would’ve had time for a short romp before the party if you’d agreed to let him teleport the two of you, but you had insisted on a “proper carriage” for appearance's sake since you’d claimed that your family would look down on him if he showed up on foot without a carriage. Sukuna could care less of what they thought of him, that’s how he’d lived for the past hundreds of years, after all, but if you wanted something, he would be remiss to not oblige.
“We’re almost there.” He opened the carriage’s window and inhaled deeply, wrinkling his nose at what he smelled. Indeed, the two of you were almost at the Shirogane residence. The stench of humans was growing stronger.
When he looked back at you to find you fussing with your hair again, he said, “You look perfect, love. Don’t worry.”
“Easier said than done,” you mumbled, but you ceased your motions, instead placing your hands in your lap and interlacing your fingers to tightly squeeze them to take off some of the stress you were feeling.
When the carriage finally stopped before the entrance to your former home, a servant announced aloud that Ryomen-sama and his wife had arrived, a cue that it was time to leave. You moved on instinct, having to open doors for yourself for as long as you could remember, you thought that it’d be no different now that you were married. But Sukuna leaned over, his massive frame almost engulfing the moonlight from your vision, and held a hand over yours, stopping you from pushing open the door.
“Allow me.”
In an effortless motion, he pushed it open then opened the door from his side and held a hand out for you when he reached your side to help you out. You took his hand gingerly, familiar callused warmth keeping you warm despite the slight chill, and slowly stepped out. Your kimono had more layers than you were used to, hair ornaments were a bit heavy, and your sandals were slightly higher than usual, so you didn’t want to trip and make a fool of yourself.
You appreciated the gesture. Loved him even more for it.
Even though you shouldn’t.
“Thank you,” you said quietly as you held his hand.
He nodded, a handsome smile gracing his face, and placed his free hand at the small of your back to help steady you as the two of you made your way into the main residence and waited in the main hall with the other guests. You waited for him to let go of you, to put some distance in between the two of you, but he didn’t even as more attendees filed into the room.
Trying to get his attention, you tip-toed, accidentally pulling his sleeve when you lost your balance for a moment.
“Oh–sorry,” you whispered nervously.
“Nothing to be sorry about, love. I’d even kneel for you if you wanted me to.” He laughed, drawing the attention of a few people nearby. “That’s how much you’ve tamed me.”
Tame. The word felt foreign on your tongue, sticky seductive honey that held the implication of sweet domesticity and something more that lodged uncomfortably in your throat. A quiet knot of ownership.
You swallowed hard, giving him an aggrieved look while hotness crept up your neck.
Sukuna could tease you all day long, loved to see those cute expressions of yours, thought it was endearing how you squirmed and grew red under his gaze, but he knew there was only so much you could take before you combusted. “You are much too cute for your own good, little wife, but tell me. What is it that you wanted to say?”
“I–” You frowned, thinking of what you were going to say before the hand he had rested around your waist tightened infinitesimally, reminding you of your request. “I was going to ask when you were going to let go of me.”
“Never.” His response was immediate and razor-sharp as if to slice through any doubts.
“I see,” you murmured. But perhaps in the future. No one ever held on to you for very long, whether by choice or not.
Noticing your slight change in mood, Sukuna asked, “Would you like something to eat? Or something to drink?” His voice was gentle, red eyes trained carefully on you while he scanned his peripheral for a servant, ready to flag one down to get something for you. If you were hungry or thirsty, he’d make sure you had something to eat and drink no matter when the actual banquet started. He didn’t run on other’s time, they ran on his.
“N-No…I’m fine…Just stay here.” Besides, you weren’t sure if you’d even be able to keep anything down anyway and who knew when you’d see Hikaru. It’d be better to have someone you were comfortable with just in case.
“Very well,” Sukuna acquiesced, but he was still careful and led you to an empty seat at the end of the table, eyes narrowing when he saw table cards with his and your name there. If he didn’t know any better, he’d make a fuss over having to sit in such a demeaning position for his rank, but he knew you wanted to be as far away as possible from your cousin so he stayed silent, fury boiling and covered just barely by your presence.
As guests slowly filtered into the room, taking their respective seats at the large table, you watched the door with a wary gaze, trying to prepare yourself for your cousin. After what seemed like a millennia of holding your breath and remembering to exhale when you felt like you couldn’t breathe, you saw her.
Hikaru wore a heavy-looking sakura pink kimono with chrysanthemums embroidered throughout and a matching floral ornament in her hair. Her glossy black hair was styled high on her head and her pale skin contrasted with the shiny red lacquer on her lips and nails. She was a vision of perfection, especially on the arms of Kamo Masaru, a talented cursed blood technique user and the heir to the Kamo family.
Instinctually, you shifted away and averted your eyes, trying to hide behind Sukuna’s large frame in the hopes that she wouldn’t see you, but there was no mistaking her cold gaze, like icy daggers that were softened only by the warm, sturdy presence next to you.
If you were more confident in yourself, perhaps you would’ve stared back and made her think that you had nothing to be afraid of, but even as you were now, technically married up into a higher position than her, you knew that you stood no chance against her.
Noticing the way you uneasily tensed, Sukuna leaned forward, imperceptibly, as if he was casually rearranging heavy limbs, and purposefully gave your cousin an aloof, cursory glance before passing over her as if he was viewing a speck of lint on his kimono.
Hikaru, who was so used to fawning and words of flattery, could not help but scrunch her pretty face up at Sukuna’s dismissal before she realized the number of eyes that were on her and carefully schooled her features back to place with a serene smile. Anyone looking at her wouldn’t have noticed the minute change in her expression, but you were attuned to them. Had learned to read Hikaru’s emotions because your life depended on it.
When Hikaru finally seated herself near the head of the table, primly folding herself into a perfect seiza position, she turned towards your direction and raised her voice to address your husband. Unbidden panic threatened to spill forth, and you fought to stifle it, smothering it best you could. You would not allow it to bring shame to Sukuna or ruin Hikaru’s celebration.
Calm down, calm down, you repeatedly told yourself, ignoring the anxiety that seeped into every word you chanted while trying to keep your attention on the conversation at the same time.
“I’m glad you could join us from so far away, Ryomen-sama,” Hikaru said pleasantly. “I trust that your journey here was not too arduous?”
Sukuna nodded. “Fine,” he said curtly.
Then she turned her attention to you, voice so saccharine that it made your bones ache, but not sweetly, as it should’ve felt when a family member welcomed you back home, but sickly, like when you eat too many sweets in one sitting. It made you feel nauseous.
“And you, cousin, how are you doing? How is your married life?”
Sukuna drew himself back a few inches so he wasn’t blocking your view. Now that Hikaru had so blatantly addressed you in front of everyone, Sukuna could no longer shield you anymore and you could not just ignore her. There was no way out except to respond.
You took a steady breath in, steeling your emotions and willing your voice to not waver when you spoke or give anyone else more reason to think that Sukuna had gotten the short end of the stick in marrying you. Nothing could mask your plainness when compared to Hikaru and her stunning features.
“I-I’m doing fine, thank you,” you replied, hating the way your voice pitched higher from your nerves.
Hikaru frowned. “Just fine? Why cousin, it seems to me that Ryomen-sama treats you more than just fine.”
You scrambled to respond when you realized that in your bubble of anxiety that you missed her second question. “Oh I meant—”
“In fact,” she continued, completely ignoring you, “I feel that he treats you more than just fine.”
She lowered her gaze to peruse your appearance, lips curling at the sight of your expensive garments and hairpins. You fought the urge to hide from her scrutiny.
“Look at that stunning kimono you have on right now. It is nishijin-ori, is it not? I’ve heard that that fabric is extremely rare, usually reserved for royalty and the most expensive fabric in Japan, costing more than a year’s worth of wages for most commoners. And the fact that it was created by the Aoki family, the most famed tailors throughout the land yet you’re still unsatisfied…”
Hikaru huffed, disapproval etched into her face. “That isn’t very becoming of someone from the Shirogane family. What would others say if they knew such a greedy, materialistic person came from our esteemed family? It would tarnish our good name! Why must you act like this, cousin?”
You looked around frantically as people began to murmur and nod in agreement, accepting her words like they were the law despite the fact that she was very, very wrong. Panic settled coldly in your bones, freezing any confidence you thought you had.
You were more than grateful that Sukuna had even bothered to buy you new clothes — especially tailored pieces that weren’t premade — and you knew that the Aokis were famous for their clothes, but that was it. Unaware of the fact that he had Aoki-kun make your kimono out of nishijin-ori, you’d simply viewed the kimono as a pretty, treasured gift — certainly not one that was predominantly reserved for royalty. Had you known, you would’ve never let him do that or wear the kimono to the banquet.
“I…I didn’t–it’s not like that–” You were losing already, and you’d hardly even said anything. The whispers and stares continued to grow the longer the silence dragged on, until the weight of it all began to push against your chest and squeeze the air out of your lungs, forcing you to draw in short, shallow breaths.
You heard a quiet crack next to you, drawing your attention to your husband. His jaw was clenched tightly, and his hands gripped the edge of the table with such fury that you swore he would’ve broken the wood in half had you not tugged on his sleeve. Twisting sharply, you were met with blazing, infernal eyes that cooled instantly upon seeing your distress.
“Love,” he murmured, ignoring the stares of your family. “Do you want to leave?”
It hurt, the familiar pressure clawing at your throat, the burdensome stares of your family, the helplessness you felt. You weren’t sure what would be worse: suffering the shame of leaving with your tail tucked between your legs or staying and being unable to respond to Hikaru’s humiliating jabs. No matter what you chose, you’d lose. You always lost against her. It was inevitable.
When you didn’t answer, Sukuna whipped to face Hikaru with fiery eyes and sharp teeth bared at her, barely able to contain the growl in his voice. “Let’s get one thing straight, Hikaru. It was my decision to buy the clothes despite the fact that she didn’t want them. And I wanted her to wear them because as my wife, she should have garments befitting her station, should she not?”
“Or did you expect her to wear something cheap like the kimono she wore when she arrived at my shrine? Or servant’s garbs like the ones she wore before I had Aoki-kun tailor new garments for her? Or wait, don’t tell me–” His tone turned savage, pretty lips curled up in disgust. “The Shirogane family is so poor that they cannot outfit my wife in proper garments. No wonder.”
A collective gasp of horror sucked the air from the room, leaving you feeling light, almost heady from the twist of pleasure you got. There was finally someone to put your family back in place and even if it wasn’t yourself, you welcomed it nonetheless. Your turn would come, but for now it was more than enough that Sukuna would help you despite having no obligation to do so. You were forever grateful to him.
“Ryomen-sama you dare—”
“Hikaru.” A sharp command sliced through your cousin’s words, demanding acquiescence, and you looked towards the source of that voice, knowing that there was only one person who Hikaru had to obey.
Your grandmother.
She’d aged since you’d last seen her, new lines in her forehead and grooves that burdened her silver eyes, and you wondered if there was some issue that she had to deal with while you were gone or if she was truly beginning to grow old.
Growing up, you always thought of her as some sort of invincible, never-aging, powerful being — she certainly seemed that way especially when your parents were alive — but now you weren’t so sure. With Hikaru getting married to the Kamo heir, it became increasingly clear that she was getting old, tired even, and was ready to step down from her place and let Hikaru lead.
Your grandmother retiring was a good thing, but you couldn’t help the aching pang of knowing your cousin would inherit the title that was supposed to be yours. But perhaps it would be better anyway, you thought, you had nothing to offer to your family, and Hikaru could be a nasty person to you, but she never did anything to truly endanger your father’s family.
You continued to stare intently at your grandmother as she gave Hikaru a firm glance before turning to address your husband.
“Ryomen-sama.” Her voice was soft, but there was no mistaking the authority behind it. “On behalf of my unruly granddaughter, I apologize for her insolence and rude behavior towards you. I hope you will be willing to overlook her mistakes on behalf of the Shirogane family.” Your grandmother bowed low, the lowest you’d ever seen her bow, before sitting at the head of the table.
Sukuna did not want to forgive her at all, but you’d want him to so he flicked his eyes briefly at your grandmother before turning his attention back to you. “Only because my wife wants to forgive.” I do not.
Decades of diplomacy and leading a family as prominent as the Shirogane had honed Hatsuoko’s skills, and she took that as a sign to move on to a different conversation. Her tone grew gentle. “My dear granddaughter. I am very happy to have you back home and see you doing so well. I trust that the journey here was not too difficult? I know that Ryomen-sama’s shrine is a bit far from here.”
You fought to keep the smile out of your voice since propriety was necessary in public. “Thank you grandmother, I’m happy to see you as well. Everything went smoothly, nothing to worry about.
Thin lips turned up slightly at the edges, a ghost of a smile.
“That is good,” she said warmly before her voice grew again, a mask of diplomacy sliding over her with practiced precision. “I humbly welcome everyone to the Shirogane family residence. Today we celebrate the upcoming nuptials of my granddaughter and Shirogane heir, Shirogane Hikaru, and the Kamo family’s heir, Kamo Masaru. It is a joyous occasion, and I thank you all for coming.”
While she spoke, servants appeared behind each guest like soundless ghosts, setting fresh, steaming trays of food accompanied by shots of sake before each guest before disappearing just as fast as they’d appeared.
“Let us toast. Then we will enjoy a bountiful meal.” She raised her glass and waited for everyone else to do the same.
You eyed the sake cup with weary desperation. You’d tasted it once when your father died (you were too young to drink it when your mother died, otherwise you’d have tasted it twice), and had swallowed the liquid bitterness despite the fact that you hated how it pooled in your stomach, warm and unyielding and a harsh reminder of what you lost. Now every time you thought of sake or alcohol in general, you thought of your parents’ death.
Sensing your hesitation from the way your hands shook when holding the cup, Sukuna took the drink from you before you could protest. A small smirk graced his features, as if he’d meant to do it all along. When your grandmother raised her glass up for a toast, he did the same for your glass and his, before finishing the alcohol in a single breath.
“Sukuna! You didn’t have to drink it for me!” you whispered furtively. “I don’t want you getting drunk in my stead.”
Two shots of sake were akin to a drop in the ocean to a creature like him who’d downed entire cellars of sake in one sitting before, but you didn’t know that, which made your concern all the more endearing to him. “Hmm,” he hummed, as the two of you clapped your hands together along with the others, muttering a quick itadakimasu, before eating. “Can’t have a drunk little wife on my hands, can I? I have to protect you.”
You hadn’t had a single drop of alcohol the entire night, but the way your face warmed made it feel as if you’d drunk a whole bottle by yourself. “That much alcohol isn’t enough to make me drunk…”
“Not enough to make you drunk,” he agreed, picking at the meat in front of him while wishing he could eat your cooking instead. Or even better, you.
He didn’t even need to eat, did it mostly to indulge you and because he liked your cooking, but he’d always take you over any mortal food. The thought of you squirming above him, slick cunt dripping juice into his mouth almost made him want to drag you from your seat, toss you over his shoulder, and find a closet to feast on you.
But he didn’t.
Sukuna was learning to be tamer around you.
“But look,” he murmured, bringing his thumb to your face to wipe a grain of rice stuck to the corner of your lip. “It would probably be enough alcohol to make your pretty face pink like it is right now. And I don’t want anyone else to see you like this.”
You nearly dropped your chopsticks but held on to them for fear of ridicule from your family. “O-Oh…um, Sukuna. That–that’s—” He’d said flirtier, dirtier, things to you before, but they were all in private. Now you were in public, in front of your family, and you didn’t know how to act.
“Eat, my love.” Sukuna fished his chirimenjako from his tray, the action reminding you of how your father used to do that for you, and set it in your rice bowl. “I know you like these fish things. Eat mine.”
“Thank you,” you mumbled, grateful to have something else to focus on. Concentrating intently on your tray, you ate your dinner, keeping yourself as composed as possible despite Hikaru’s cold glare that shot through Sukuna’s imposing body. The fact that this was your first time eating with your family in years was not lost on you. And especially not lost on Hikaru.
Time passed quickly, and soon everyone had begun to wander out of the dining room and into other spaces. Needing to use the restroom, you excused yourself after telling Sukuna where you were going. He grabbed your arm, asking if you needed him to come with you, but you told him with a smile that he couldn’t regardless of what you wanted because you were using the ladies' room. Sukuna pouted, but you promised that you’d be back as soon as you could, and it was only after a reluctant kiss that he finally let you go.
You finished your business quickly, wanting to get back to Sukuna as soon as you could and go home before you realized that you still hadn’t given your grandmother the gift that you’d brought her. Hoping that she’d be in her room, you hurried through the corridors, slipping past drunken guests, and made your way to the front of her room.
“Grandmother?” you whispered. “Are you there?”
You waited a few seconds for a response before you asked again. “Grandmother? Are you—”
“What are you doing?”
You jumped, nearly dropping the gift in your hand, before shoving it hastily into your sleeve and turning on your toes, dread coursing through your veins.
“Hikaru…I’m sorry–Nothing, I wasn’t doing anything. I’ll just leave. Thank you for your invite.” You quickly bowed once before leaving, and walked as fast as you could in your kimono, cursing the damn contraption for slowing you down — it was pretty, yes, but incredibly difficult to move, and move quickly in it.
A sigh of relief broke out from you when you made it to one of the gardens in the residence, but your celebration was cut short when you felt liquid metal, a stinging cold against your wrist, squeeze hard, forcing you to turn and face your attacker.
“I know what you’re thinking,” Hikaru sneered, letting the silver liquid slither up your arms so that it coiled around your neck like a pretty, poisonous snake, ready to strike at any time.
“You think that just because you’re married to Ryomen-sama,” she sneered his name, “that means you’re suddenly better than you are. That you’re not trash. But don’t lie to yourself. You won’t be married to him forever. He could easily find someone much better than you, replace you, and leave you with nothing and no one would think otherwise.”
You were acutely aware of the fact that if Sukuna wanted to, he could abandon you at any moment, but at the same time, you held a wild, desperate hope that perhaps he liked you just enough — even if just the bare minimum — to let you stay with him. Even tolerance would be enough for you. All you could hope for.
“So don’t forget your place. Don’t forget who you are. Someone useless, someone unlovable. A member of the Shirogane family, even if you’re a failure. So remember that I control you!” she spat, wringing the mercury tighter against your skin as if to emphasize her claims. You were sure that there’d be bruising now, bruising that’d be hard to explain to Sukuna.
You wanted to scream at her. To take her by the shoulders and shake her until the cold hard truth – that no one had ever treated you like a member of the Shirogane family – was beaten into her. But you knew you couldn’t because saying those things would be akin to social suicide for Sukuna, so you tried for softer words while clawing feebly at the liquid death that encircled your neck.
“H-Hikaru…listen–I…people might hear us and the latter half of the celebration will start soon, so let’s talk about this later.”
But Hikaru would not be so easily coaxed into agreement. “Later? You want to talk about this later?!”
Her shrill voice rang so loudly that you winced and looked worriedly at your surroundings, hoping that no one heard, especially not Sukuna. “Later?! You want to talk about this later?”
You winced at her shrill voice and looked worriedly around you, hoping that no one had heard when a sudden sting of pain jolted your attention back to Hikaru. She’d used her mercury to whip you, hard, the impact of it was so strong and caught you so off guard that it knocked you back a few steps, making you lose your balance and trip into a stone bench. The rock dug into the back of your thighs, bruising hard, and you reached up to soothe the sting on your face only to draw back in half-panic and half-surprise at the wet warmth you felt on your fingertips.
You had grown comfortable with Sukuna’s gentle ways. Too comfortable.
You could feel the tears well up in your eyes, fat drops that threatened to spill forth and betray what little strength you had, but you squeezed your eyes shut and forced yourself to focus on the pain and the blood. You wouldn’t let your tears betray how you really felt.
And then there was the matter of Sukuna. You didn’t want your husband to see you like this — for him to see you in such a pitiful state, somehow who couldn’t even protect yourself. Someone at the mercy of another, having to pitifully beg for even a scrap of Hikaru’s leniency. If he saw you now, he’d think you were disgusting and worthless, and he’d realize that you simply weren’t worth it.
You knew it, had expected it to happen since he was bound to find out about your past, but you were hoping you’d have a little more time to prepare him. A little more time to prepare yourself. Some nice memories to tide over the ache you’d feel when you would eventually be discarded.
But there was never enough time. If you learned anything in life, it was that time was servant to none and master to all. It didn’t care that your mother was young, in her primes, or that you were too young to lose your father. Time took them anyway. So what else were you to do besides submit?
Crumpled and defeated, not even caring that your pretty new kimono was dirtied and ripped in multiple places, you kneeled. You kneeled before this angry goddess, taking in every insult hurled at you while your body slowly caved in from the pain your liquid metal jailer wrought on you.
“Know your place, whore,” Hikaru seethed. She grabbed a fistful of your hair, hair that was just starting to grow healthily, and yanked it sharply to force you to look at her. You bit your tongue hard to stop the cry of pain that’d come out, tasting bitter, metallic blood. “You’re just a slave—”
“My wife.”
A two-worded revelation from your savage god. Pure relief flooded through you, barely enough to smother the intense shame and disgust you felt from yourself.
Sukuna was here, but you couldn’t be sure if it was a good thing or not.
Hikaru spun on her heels to face the intruder, anger etched into every fiber of her being, but when she saw who it was, her demeanor changed instantaneously, molding her expression and posture into picturesque gentility.
“Ryomen—”
But Sukuna ignored her and made a beeline for you, kneeling on the hard floor before reaching his hand out for you to take. You slipped your shaking hands into his while keeping your gaze lowered, not daring to see what expression he had on his face right now. Surely he would be irate and berate you for ruining an expensive kimono or criticize your lack of decorum and sneer at your weakness.
Sukuna, however, addressed your cousin first. “What were you doing to my wife?”  His voice sounded unaffected, but his calmness belied an undercurrent of violence just barely contained. He didn’t want to scare you off.
“What do you mean?” Hikaru asked dumbly, batting her eyelashes at him. “As the future head of the Shirogane family, it is my duty to discipline members of the family when they’re misbehaving.”
You could feel his grip tighten imperceptibly on your waist.
“Your family?” he scoffed. “She is my wife and thus bears the surname Ryomen, making her no longer a part of the Shirogane family. Instead, she is now under my protection and care and if anyone is to discipline her, to teach her the error of her ways, it will be me, and not some outsider.”
Hikaru’s expression darkened, as if she couldn’t believe that there would be someone so bold as to question her authority not once, but twice. Her original plan of getting on Sukuna’s good side changed because he’d insulted her pride and status. She would not let his comment go. “You have no idea what you’re talking about and who you’re talking to.”
Sukuna arched a fine eyebrow. “Oh do I?”
“Yes,” she insisted. “Last time we met, you only knew me as her cousin,” she spat the word out as if it was poison. "But what you don’t know is that I am the heir of the prized mercury cursed technique of the Shirogane family and the future head of the family.”
Sukuna was beginning to see everything very clearly now — what and how you suffered in the past. It didn’t matter that your grandmother was the head of the family and kind to you if she turned a blind eye to Hikaru’s cruel behavior towards you merely because she had inherited the Shirogane family’s dying cursed technique. And if the family head showed such ignorance, then clearly the rest of the clan, whether they scorned you because they saw your grandmother as a role model, or because they themselves didn’t want to get shunned for siding with you, would not have helped the situation.
You must’ve been so lonely.
And if your loneliness was anything like his, it was not just simply loneliness, but a demon that consumed you.
The first few hundred years after he became a cursed spirit, he suffered daily from this loneliness, seeking a feeling, something exhilarating, overwhelming, powerful enough to get rid of the loneliness that ate at him from the inside out. It threatened to consume him whole, leave nothing behind, and every day he fought against it. He murdered, tortured, and plundered his way through his new life before he finally decided that he was tired of it all. That he wanted to settle down in one place.
Life was peaceful at the shrine, a calm respite from the noise of the world, and he enjoyed his few servants. His days passed without any trouble except for when he received a sacrificial bride (they were often distraught and it’d take them many weeks or months to calm down). But loneliness chipped away at him, like water against stone, and each passing year further solidified his belief that he’d never find an end to his loneliness.
Until you came along.
Sukuna didn’t care that the Shiroganes were powerful cursed technique users – there had been no one in centuries who even came close to rivaling his power, so he was not going to simply sit by and watch as some impudent spoiled human brat hurt you.
“And what of it?” Sukuna replied coolly. “What of the Shirogane family?”
Hikaru’s face contorted in anger, beautiful features turning ugly. “Why you—”
“Do you know who you’re talking to?” he thundered, eyes glowing red. “To go against her is to go against me. And to go against me is to go against god.”
Not a single sound could be heard from Hikaru despite the fact that Sukuna had interrupted her.
“It would appear to me, weak human, that your family has not educated you about your history nor the identity of their superior. For I am their god, whether they acknowledge it or not, which means that not only am I owed respect from your family but that my wife is also owed the same respect. I do not care if you are more powerful,” he said the words mockingly, “than my wife, because I can assure you, you are most certainly not better than her, and are in fact worth nothing compared to her. In my eyes, she is worth much, much more, than your paltry cursed technique.”
Stunned silent, Hikaru looked at Sukuna, silver eyes glinting with pain. Yet indignation reigned and she couldn’t help challenging him. “If you think the Shirogane family’s cursed technique is so weak, then you won’t turn me down in a friendly match, will you?”
“Very well.”
A friendly match?
No, you couldn’t let the two of them do that. You’d seen the destruction that Hikaru had wreaked before and had watched with silent horror servants writhing in agony through half-opened windows and doors left ajar. Cruel handiwork on shattered masterpieces you had to patch up every time she was finished with them. And sometimes you’d catch a glimpse of her sparring with her instructor (the same one you had many years ago), and be half-terrified, half-awed by the sheer power she had. Power you should’ve had but didn’t.
Sukuna was formidable, no doubt, but you couldn’t risk him getting hurt on your behalf.
“No!” The two of them spun to look at you, and you fought the urge to shirk at icy silver eyes that had traumatized you and molten red ones that you’d grown to love so much.
“I-Please don’t fight. I don’t want you…two to get hurt…” At first, you thought only of your husband, until you realized that Hikaru getting hurt would surely spell doom for Sukuna. The Shirogane family would want someone to answer for her injuries and heavens forbid her death, if it happened, and you would be the perfect scapegoat for it. They’d spin a tale of how you, the eldest cousin, was jealous of Hikaru and had devised a plan for Sukuna to get rid of her for you so you could seize her position.
Never mind that you wanted and cared nothing for that, but your family would use you as a scapegoat and Sukuna would get caught in the crossfire simply by association with you. But Sukuna only looked at you with a devastating smirk, one that made you hope and despair at the same time. He was going to fight her, regardless of what you said. It made sense, you thought wanely. Why would he ever listen to someone as weak and useless as yourself?
“I will be but a moment, love,” he said nonchalantly, pressing a kiss to the top of your head before setting you gently on the bench.
Hikaru manipulated several streams of mercury into the air, ready to attack Sukuna as soon as he turned around, and when you saw it, your legs were moving before you realized it, running to do something, anything, to shield him from the mercury – you had a firsthand experience of how acutely they hurt – but then you were in his warm embrace, face pressed against his chest and breathing in his scent when you heard someone howl in pain.
When you finally dared to open your eyes, you found Hikaru crumpled on the ground in pain, hurt in the same places you were while Sukuna hadn’t taken a single step from where he was.
“R-Ryomen-sama! How dare you do this to me!” Hikaru stood shakily, trying to come to terms that someone had just hurt her and summoned more mercury, ready to shoot those streams at Sukuna when—
“Enough.”  Your grandmother’s voice held no room for argument, and Hikaru obeyed, immediately getting rid of her mercury.
Sukuna looked at Hikaru with such heavy distaste that you could almost feel the sting yourself.
“I didn’t realize that the Shirogane family had fallen so low,” he remarked with disdain, “become so uneducated, and so uncouth so as to not recognize their god, the King of Curses. Do something about it. I don’t want my wife’s family to be known as weak, ignorant people, nor do I want to be disappointed again by them.” Sukuna effortlessly lifted you from where you sat before you could mutter a protest. “We’ll be leaving now, Shirogane-sama.”
You craned your neck up to look at your husband before turning to your grandmother who was helping Hikaru up. “We’re leaving?” you murmured nervously. “Just like that?”
“Of course.” He arched an eyebrow at you, confused, as if you were the crazy one. “There’s no need for us to be here anymore, and I want to tend to your wounds as soon as possible, so I’ll teleport us back,” he said simply.
“O-Okay…”
You held on to him tightly, perhaps tighter than needed, and a few moments later you were back at the shrine. The calm, familiar environment enveloped you, and you sighed deeply, glad you had some place to return and find solace because the Shirogane residence was certainly anything but peaceful.
As Sukuna carried you to your rooms, asking Momoka for a first aid kit on the way there, you wondered how you were going to approach him tomorrow morning. It was a given that he’d surely have questions for you — remarks, at the very least — about what happened, but you weren’t sure if you were ready to open up to him yet.
But perhaps he wouldn’t even care to listen to you. He could just be acting courteous to you, bidding his time before he divorced you and ran you out of the shrine. It sickened you, bile rising unbidden, at the thought of him abandoning you, and you vehemently fought to keep it down while clinging harder to Sukuna and burying your nose into the crook of your neck, focusing on his calming scent.
If only this moment would last forever. If only you could live in this illusion for the rest of your life. If only he would love you unconditionally; want nothing in return.
Wonderful yet impossible.
