I have so many annotations in this book. (668 to be exact), so im just grazing the surface of everything with this one sooo part 1 perhaps?

-Kevin and jean. Jeans unrequited crush on kevin. I need to know more about this and I hope Nora delves into the semantics in the next book.

-Also how this relates to Kevin day famously saying it was easier to be straight. I figured this was a common thought among the ravens or at least Riko’s court,but Jean doesn't mention it once throughout the entire book. He brings up his attraction towards men multiple times ,and there was never any denying it. It was just something he accepted, so how did Kevin get the idea that it was easier to be straight and Jean didn't? Did Jean ever think this way and eventually changed it down the line or what?

-Im a sucker for found family and Nora really delivered with this one. Laila,Cat, and Jeremy are making it known to Jean that they’ll always be there and genuinely want to help him. The dynamic between all of them is so tender and I think it’ll be so healing for Jean. 

-Also I hope we see more of the floozy squad in the next book! 

-I need them to convince Jean to try boba at some point, and i really hope his relationship with food gets better. I really love that he’s cooking with cat and I really hope it develops into one of his hobbies outside of Exy. Let this boy live a little!

-speaking of hobbies: Cat teaching Jean how to ride a motorcycle?? I just feel like it would be beneficial(not to Jeremy’s heart but thats ok) 

-This specific moment with cat and jean 

she ran down to the tide to rinse it off with childish glee. Jean obediently inspected it when she brought it back, and she tucked it into his breast pocket with a cheerful “For you!”

Small things like this just really show how much they care about him.

- What’s up with Jeremy's family?? I really want to know what happened to where Jeremy “tore them apart” like what was the scandal his freshman year??? It was mentioned briefly but then Jeremy just decided it wasn't worth mentioning again considering all that was going on? The biggest “im fine” in history fr. Also when Cat is telling Jean about everyone’s siblings she mentions how when you go over 4 kids there's bound to be one asshole, but she only listed 4. So did one of his siblings die?? I might be reading too far into this but! Or it could be that one of them cut off all ties to the family after something happened? I don't know but I’m excited to read more about it in the next book!

-neil. Bro was just being a menace and seeing him from an outsiders pov makes me realize just how unhinged he seems to everyone. But him ordering that hit on Grayson without a second thought? Iconic. As everyone else is saying he dropped by to serve cunt and then left. 

-Jean dropping the most poetic line about Neil and Andrew’s relationship and then just not thinking about it ever again is so wild lmao.

Jean noticed how Andrew and Neil moved like they were caught in each other’s gravity, in each other’s space more than they were out of it, cigarette smoke and matching armbands and lingering looks when one fell out of orbit for too long.

-The parallels between Jean and Neil and how they dealt with things. I don't know if you can really call some of them parallels but they are connected in my head bro. 

-JEANS SISTER. Oh this shit hurts from the faint memory we get to the end when we find out that she's dead??? Nora you're paying for my therapy oh my god. And when Jean is mourning her the snippet of the memory of stitching up her dress that she’d get caught in the blackberry bushes???? He genuinely loved her and just when he’d be getting to a point to where he’d feel safe enough to try to get in contact with her again to find out his parents sold her off and she died because of it???? Yeah bitch burn your family to the ground. I hope we get more memories with her in them.

Wished they were taken more seriously, but won't deny some of their episode were my favorites by far (especially OP T.R.I.P). Less because of the gags they thrown them in, but rather we do finally see glimpses of their own personalities cause up until then there rlly wasnt much on them besides them failing and falling out a whole damn window all the time xxbdj honestly, that calls into question how resistant these guys are holy shit

The sister(if anyone got any name suggestions for them plz tell so I can steal them too/j), is fed UP, and I love her for it, cause with the amount of shit she's face i'd go fucking insane too. I vote we should give her gun, all her problems would be solved/j but actually, i enjoy that she's a little shit, impulsive, arrogant, etc, but i think it kinda stems from a fear of failure because how else would they've been known as father's bestest spies? Sector V had knocked down a pedestal, and that fucks with her head, but then their failures began to pile up and now she's becoming increasingly desperate to prove that she's still somehow #1– in turn she because implusive, impatient, etc. Sbe 100% cares for her brother, so at the same time she feels like she's dragging him down, it all piles on. Maybe a vaca would do her some good.

The brother, I absolutely adore him – tbh I adore both of them equally. He seems more like the younger of the two in terms of personality, we seem always following his sister's lead despite how irrational it could be. His loyalty and compassion to her is something that kinda pushes him to being my fav twin spot, cuz well im a sucker for good brother characters. And despite his more "softer" attuide compared to his sister's, they're both evil and flawed equally on the same level ‐ mo manipulation or pressure(well kind), nah-da. As the brother is just as implusive, selfish, and arrogant, but he hasn't let their failure get to his head just yet – in turn, he has more clearer head than his sister, so he ends becoming a voice of reason than a leader.

It's pretty popular theory that they're delightful, which is something I think about a LOT when it comes to their characters. And a bit more headcanon here: their non-delightful selves are still conscious, as to me(inspired heavily by my SS au with a friend), being delightful serves as just a filter for kids. Kinda like you feel the urge to chuck a plate, but because you're delightful, it's like a parasite keeping your hands folded in your lap, controlling your behaviors and words.

And they both don't like that their delightful-selves are fighting against old comrades because they were probably ex-KND operatives. perhaps got caught during a mission in Father's mansion, and faded to obscurity in KND history. Either that, or maybe they were father's first delightful experiments? Before the DCFDTL? Maybe that's why they aren't as insync as the DCFDTL, cuz you'd think them being related by blood would strength that bond.

Honestly, i just want an AU where they're happy:))

Philia 4. Is your OC able to build close friendships with people very different from themselves? Perhaps in terms of culture, age or personality?

i was thinking about this yesterday on my way home from uni actually. the answer is yes, but with one baseline requirement: anybody they become close with needs to be able to ground them in one way or another. mortum and argent are possible, he appreciates their bluntness and strict boundaries. he likes to listen to mortum and occasionally bounce off ideas with her. he already holds respect for argent, and given time, she couldve grown to be a trusted confidante. however, they want to keep mortum as a purely business relationship at the moment, and argent already scared them off before anything could happen. heralds not getting any further than coach or "he seems nice", they like him but they get a headache whenever theyre in a room with him for too long. other than that, anybody goes. hes not picky.

Storge 3. How far does parental approval (imagined or expressed) impact upon their current sense of self-worth? What might they sacrifice or attempt to achieve in order to ensure the approval of their parents?

the answer varies wildly for either, so ill answer for both. in the case of tia elena, parental approval is a bit shocking to him, like with most relationship dynamics. they like it, they just cant fathom the fact that theyre getting percieved, much less in a positive light. hed do a lot to get more, its fascinating to him and it makes him feel like hes doing a good job. but its something they can easily give up if the situation calls for it (aka theyre my only step tia elenas 'im-not-mad-im-just-disappointed' look wouldnt work on).

the farm is...a very different story. they were made to be a tool, and if its a tool they want, a tool they shall get. before their escape he was very single-minded when accomplishing missions. get the job done in any way possible. consequences arent for him to worry about, he only needs to worry about if they mess up. which they wont. they make sure of it. after their escape he leans less into that mindset, but its difficult to let go of, and still bleeds into his relationships most of the time. they dont like to think about the fact they wouldve sacrificed anything for the farm back then, and that theyre not sure they wouldnt sacrifice anything now if the right people asked it from them.

Eros 1. Is your OC romantic in the traditional sense? Do they enjoy giving or receiving gifts of flowers or confectionary? Or are there other courtship traditions from their culture of origin that are important to them?

nobody but him is allowed to be romantic. thats it thats the answer were moving on

in all seriousness, he does do traditionally romantic things alot, though most of them are for the reaction, not courtesy. roses and flowers are a common way for him to try and fluster his dates, and the two people hes dated are both sappy suckers so its worked most of the time. the exception is gift giving, because most of his gifts are handmade, so he tries not to make a big deal about it. unfortunately, his partners always do.

receiving romantic gestures should be something hes used to at this point, but hes not, so it always catches him off gaurd. its embarrassing, but the most embarrassing part is that he gets strangely touched by it. he probably still has a teddy gifted to him thats never seeing the light of day. oh, and chocolates are always welcome. thats just good food.

does the farm have the normal version of a favourite?? no. do they have a favourite 'im gonna fuck them up for fun' sibling? yes and thats fawn. north is a bastard and he frequently makes cyrus dream of murder. as for how their relationships all changed, cyrus used to be closer to his siblings. a Lot closer. of course, the farm changed that. he became cruel and harsh, which fawn couldnt connect with. even with river who wants to be evil, cyrus became obsessive about control after heartbreak, which i dont think river appreciates. his mental imprint changed extremely, and he started shielding around them. needless to say their relationship was estranged for a good while, but cyrus can never stay away from the people he cares about.

Storge 5. Which of your OC's qualities makes them the most proud? Do they think more people should be like them in this regard? Or do they quite like being rare in possessing it?

hes proudest of his ability to stay logical and composed, unaffected by emotions. that last part isnt true btw, but he gets to believe it to feel better about himself. hes able to think things through and do what needs to be done without external influence. he thinks itd be easier for everybody if they were more like him, but secretly, hes relieved that theyre not. itd get less people hurt, but the poison is addicting, yk? if people were as logical as he wanted them to be, ortega and herald (and maybe mortum, the verdict is pending) wouldve dropped him by now, yet persistent assholes that they are, they stay with him anyway. he likes the trade-off.

YAAAY im so glad you enjoy them theyre like my favourite ever guys in the whole universe :D :D (gets robbed) The main OT3 is so so real. Reg's laid-back lifestyle and artistic hobbies help Ratchet and Austin to find peace and rest after long eventful lives. Ratchet's fiery competitiveness encourages them to explore and push their endurance. Austin's quick wit and mule-like stubbornness keeps Reg and Ratchet mentally sharp and out of harm's way. They balance each other perfectly.

BWD is set in australia! It's deep in the Outback, vaguely inspired by the Grawin opal fields, but more in the West. the closest town is probably Halls Creek, and it's still a few hours from BWD, which is not on the map and never will be. It's not really called "backwater downs" - thats just what the residents call it. BWD is more a mining / farming patch of land where a few dozen cars have congregated for companionship. And yes, it would be very easy to disappear there and be declared dead forever! Especially if your family is on the other side of the planet.

Ratchet has five siblings, the oldest being Robyn and the youngest Firestorm. Robyn wanted him dead because the alternative was him leaving her, and she couldn't stand that. Her production siblings - Turner, Hawk, and Belle- follow her lead even if they don't agree.

Ratchet is four years younger than Robyn and her production, and Firestorm is two years younger than Ratchet. Their parents are not in the picture anymore. Of them, only these three remain. Ratchet doesn't know three of his sibs are dead and gone. Firestorm doesn't know his favourite big brother is alive. Robyn doesn't know much of anything, anymore, and spends her days in a listless haze travelling the far northern stretches of America completely alone.

Firestorm is the most affected. He loved all his siblings dearly. He organised a six-month search for Ratchet when he disappeared and organised his funeral after the second year, when Firestorm was only twenty-two. Firestorm would welcome Ratchet home openly, any time, any condition. Even a body would be preferable to the endless sinister 'what if?' that lurks in his mind every single day. He held a funeral with an empty grave and after more than forty years he still expects Ricochet to be in the next room. Robyn knows Ricochet is alive and she knows he's terrified of her, and she knows Firestorm misses him and it's her fault. She wanted to keep her siblings close and now they're all split apart. She lets the phone ring out.

i finally finished violet rays!! really great stuff you should be so proud!!

the smut was seriously so good! i don't want to quote any specific lines because i am too embarrassed 😶😳 but there are some LINES in this. despite how wholesome their dynamic is, you found in character ways to add some spice to the dialogue in the smut scene that made it very sexy but also unique to your story, not just a copy/paste of other smut writers. i also loved how you flipped back and forth between their perspectives because i am a sucker from hearing from the man's pov about how desirable/beautiful/wanted the woman is.

the whole thing was so radically wholesome in ways that i didn't expect. "the thought of how before all of this – before the feelings, the tension – you were just friends. This was built on a foundation of friendship and familiarity before anything else.” ❤️

you clearly put a ton of work into the friend group scenes and just building a vibe of a fun beach vacation. i loved little moments like reader braiding ran's hair or the intimacy when they're in the ocean. it was just really lovely!

LISTENNNN. i put my whole jayussy into that smut;; i was happily tiptapping away at my keyboard with a dumb lil smile on my face 'cause RAN <3 i really like connecting lines that have to do w the plot into the smut because i do think it makes hit hit 100x harder! i just really like it when the man is head over heels. the oh and btw since we're on the topic of Ran, i'm really curious to read your version of him, whenever that may be!

if im being honest, i was not intentionally flipping between their POV's. i think as i was crafting each scene, it naturally came to me depending on the scene. like when they went out to the market for a day, i wanted to show how much Ran really missed the reader and how his heart always felt lighter around her, and thats how it ended up being written in his POV. i rly wanted to show as much emotion as i could for both of them. i really like it when the dynamic feels like a breath of fresh air! sometimes i worry that im too sappy in my writing, or too soft - but i think im happy with how it all turned out :) especially for my first oneshot.

fun fact lol, the monopoly scene was inspired by my real IRL events lol. i was getting shit on by my cousins and siblings and i was the first one out because i suck ahahakasdjbk the vibes were immaculate.

ARGHHH ACTUALLY I JUST THOUGHT OF ANOTHER THING. I dont know if this will make sense or how to properly word this but yknow how bsd has the ada, pm, doa and the guild but csm only has devil hunters??? So technically wouldn’t they all have to work together in some way instead of them all being enemies? Unless some of them are separated as different groups like the guild being devil hunters located in america and doa being a whole separate villainous group or whatever then I don’t see why the ada and pm couldn’t be combined.. because if they’re all devil hunters then why are they against each other. 😭

It could be like they’re all in their separate little devisions??? And they all just kinda hate each other???? Idk but what i’m trying to get at here is what about the relationships. What’s up with them as a collective. In csm we have power’s, denji’s and aki’s lil family dynamic (or found family? Looking at it from aki’s pov then YEAH it’s family but even tho a lot of people are saying you shouldn’t ship denji and power because they have a sibling dynamic i disagree that that is their whole relationship but this aint about them and i could talk about the reason i personally don’t like them being shipped but this aint about them back to the au) to be attached to so is there something similar in this au or is it just the same thing we have in bsd?

(for the character opinion bingo ask game) tysm for the question anon, I love moon so much!! :] putting lots of spoiler thoughts under the cut

moon is a really great character! i already adore iterators as a concept (sentient holy biomechanical ecosystems, random gods who are in a discord server together, is such an insane and wonderful premise), but one thats on the brink of death for a lot of the story is really cool. the coast was one of my favorite regions when I first played the game (before I knew that was Also her), and meeting her puppet for the first time felt incredibly special. for some reason, i thought she was the one that had control over the rain cycles (maybe bc I kept seeing her overseer?), and because I couldnt understand her yet I just waited until the rain came, waiting for her to do something. I learned afterwards that her distressed chirping was her warning me to leave, which really hit me in the heart.

i also relate to her a lot! moon and i have very similar speaking styles and personalities, and are similarly pushovers to the point of it effecting our wellbeing :,) the major difference between us is that my brother is a super lovely guy whos always been very kind to me lol! but man. the combination ocean+space theme with her really hits me in the heart, and i always feel very safe when visiting her: i can only hope i have that effect on other people.

the wasted potential aspect is wrt her development as a character: though i obviously really love her as a character, she doesn't really have an arc she personally has agency over. she fluctuates a lot in health, but unlike pebbles, she doesnt really have a character arc? its very touching to see her retain her kindness no matter what situation shes in, but it would be interesting to see how the mass suicide of the ancients, and then her collapse, changed her. 5P seemed to like the ancients, while Moon describes feeling uncomfortable with them on her skin---was she more irritable when they were alive? i also really wanted to see her talking with 5P once they reconnected, they definitely had some good years together. after her recovery, was she more assertive? more joking? more cautious? did five pebbles rub off on her at all? is she tired at all during saint? she stays pretty much the same through the story, which could act as a foil to 5P, but i feel like its the one aspect of her character thats wasted.

speaking of which, her and five pebbles dynamic is super interesting. on an emotional, lore, and gameplay level, their relationship is literally the backbone of the game! im a sucker for when personal emotion is a tangible world altering Force, and its heartbreaking to have one sibling almost die because the other is attempting suicide. it was gutwrenching seeing her send her last message to her friends, and her reconnecting w everyone healed my heart a little bit.

im only saying that id be scared of her because there's spiders bigger than cats in her in Spearmaster :,) also her rain siren is awesome and i love it as someone listening but if I heard it irl it would scare me more than anything in the world

Imma be completely honest, I’m literally only here as a Marvel Fan because of MK and WWBN, the writing of everything else is atrocious.

This is my fifth year being an mcu fan so i definitely have not been following it since the beginning but those two definitely are the best of phase 4.

I know this isnt' what u asked for but i'm bored here are my ratings for phase 4:

Moon Knight. I'm not going to write all the reasons i love it bc that would turn into an entire essay lol but this show is phenomenal and has captured my heart and soul

Werewolf by Night. again, just like moon knight, it's creative and cinematic and perfect in every way

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. It's funny, got good action, emotional parts, and i live for shang and katy's relationship. they're so funny and i'm eternally glad they didn't force them into a weird romance

Ms. Marvel. the kids were written like kids and kamala is so dorky and cute. i know a lot of ppl didn't like her for some reason but she also lives in my heart

Hawkeye. This is just bc im one of those comic book nerds and have read every single hawkeye book and have merch and stuff lol I'm a diehard fan and loved pointing out all the little details even if it deviated from the comics

Black Widow. I think people are right that Yelena did steal the show a little bit but i love it anyway. It always makes me cry. every time.

Thor: Love and Thunder. I liked this movie! I saw it in theaters multiple times and enjoyed it. I can see the reasons behind people's critiques and do agree that the first half felt a bit weirdly paced but the second half really saved it for me

WandaVision. I'm just a sucker for Wanda and Vision lol They were my first mcu ship and i'm glad they finally got a spotlight. ppl complain abt the ending but i thought it was pretty good

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. I loved seeing all the different dynamics that came up in this show and the real world problems it addressed. It also made me cry. I loved Sam and Bucky but Karli really stole the show for me and I was on her side the whole time lol

What If...? I actually really liked the reimagining of the characters and the odd pair ups. It was fun to see all the new interactions we would never get in canon. I think the watcher was weird and didn't need to fight ultron but the rest of it was good. Also the animation was beautiful. I was on the edge of my seat trying to get a better look at it the whole time lol

Spider-Man: No Way Home. It was a really good movie but I haven't seen all the og spider man movies so i didn't know who a lot of the villains were. and peter could have thought his little stunt at the end through a bit more but oh well. Still funny though

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It was really exciting to see America (i'm also a fan of her comics) but really I was rooting for wanda the whole time lol Ofc I knew that america would live bc they need her for the young avengers but it was really fun seeing wanda be in her villain era. they did her dirty at the end tho and basically had her learn the lesson she just learned in wandavision... which was also the lesson she learned in civil war. when will they give my girl a new arc? also i'm in denial, I refuse to believe she's dead :) (and also dr strage was in it too ig)

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. This was fun, I had a good time. It was really funny and finally confirmed that peter and mantis were siblings but i don't think i'll watch it any time other than christmas (unlike werewolf by night which is a year round event lol)

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. ok this one got a lot of hate but i don't see why? i didn't think it was bad, i just wasn't gripped by the story. i only watched up to episode three so i can't judge the whole thing but it was a bit too slice of life-y for me to be engaged w the story but as far as i can tell, that's jen's thing. The parts that i did see weren't poorly written and it's not the shows fault the animation was so bad (cough marvelwon'tlettheiranimatorsunionize cough)

Eternals. Same problem as she hulk. it wasn't bad, it just wasn't interesting. I only made it through half the movie before i left but i was really confused by who was who. i kept getting them mixed up

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The only reason this is so low is because I haven't seen it yet. I've heard nothing but glowing reviews so i'm sure it'll go up to the top of the list but i can't judge it until i see it

Loki. I hate this show, i hate it so much. I am so fucking mad abt this bc it had so much potential! I've also read the loki comics and i think those set my bar too high. yes, the show acknowledges loki is bi but they make him fall in love with another version of himself instead of doing anything w that. yes, they acknowledge he's genderfluid but we never see it, not even in flashbacks. he's trying to redefine who he is and stuff but i was so distracted by the horrible self-cest romance, that i was actively rooting against, to notice character development. If you want a good story about a bisexual, genderfluid loki redefining themself in the most beautiful way, read the Loki: Agent of Asgard comic run

Wait, hold up, Koyomi and Reki. Like I've been thinking of their relationship as teenagers but like..... Them as kids. Before the twins. When it was just them two in the house.

Like imagine a kid Koyomi going to her big brother in the middle of the night after she has a nightmare because "mommy's sleeping and her room is too far"

Or kid Reki forcing her to play his silly games outside and they're running around the yard playing these make believe games, Koyomi is the fairy princess of the forest and Reki is the knight searching for the princess and together they have to defeat the big bad dragon which is just the neighbor's cat and save the world

Or Koyomi going to Reki for her homework because he's already had that teacher and he knows how the work is graded

Or Reki and Koyomi hiding from their parents and somehow managing to watch tv way past their bedtime only for their parents to find them cuddled up together under a blanket, passed out cold at midnight

oooh OK I THINK I WILL buuut ten is a lot so i think im gonna put this under a cut or smth so i don’t bother anyone lol

ok SO OK black clover has such a huge cast that it’s actually unfair because every character is to die for buuuut relationship-wise:

asta & yuno: i’m so so so basic BUT I JUST?? LOVE THEM SM??? and i’m always a sucker for rivals/best friends but i think what gets me here is how healthy their relationship is?? they both acknowlegde each other and push each other to do their best without being harmful and it’s such a refreshing breather from tropes where only one person in a rivalry really cares about the relationship. i see them as the best of friends who always confide in one another and know each other better than anyone else, but recently (and it’s all lily’s fault for ranting about it) i’ve fallen in love with their ship too. which is surprising becuz i’m not really a shipper but these two.... they did it for me

the vermillion siblings: GOD THEY JUST??? I LOVE THEM SM! mereoleona is my absolute queen and the way she embodies that violent older sister who expects the best from her siblings kills me. i love how leo looks up to his siblings and the way all their personalities fit their sibling role is so so so perfect.

noelle & vanessa: love love love the sibling-vibe i get from these two! i wish they had more scenes together because their dynamic is so great. i love thinking about how vanessa pushes noelle out of her shell too!! 

nacht & asta: i don’t think i’ve ever loved a favoritism relationship as much as i love this one. THE WAY NACHT SAW ASTA AND WAS LIKE “yup ur mine now” IS SO FUNNY HE JUST UP AND ADOPTS HIM ON THE SPOT. but nacht’s soft spot for asta IS SO CUTE and honestly i reallllly hope we get to see some scenes where nacht interacts with the rest of the bulls and everyone notices the blatant favoratism.

luck & magna: do i even need to say anything? chaotic stupid friend and chaotic stupid friend combine to make one whole brainless duo. 

yami & the bulls: LISTEN. LISTEN. WHY DOES YAMI FIT INTO THE ROLE OF 28-YEAR-OLD SINGLE FATHER OF A GROUP OF MISFITS. he really just up and adopts any problem child he sees like “yeah ur funny oh ur insane ur fucking crazy i want all of you”. i looove how he’s so soft for his squad but refuses to admit it AND OMG THE LATEST CHAPTERS? WHERE THE BULLS SAY THEY LOVE YAMI AND HE SAYS IT BACK?? GOD I THINK I ACTUALLY DIED.

zora & nero: this is new and they’ve only have like one scene together BUT THEY WOULD BE THAT ONE DUO THAT JUST JUDGES EVERYONE. i love how they both hold the only braincell of the group and i think there’s a lot of potential bonding that could be done between them. tbh the latest chap is what did it for me

yuno & noelle: smmmmm potential involving two salty friends who become friends based on their mutual friend (asta) and team up to make fun of said mutual friend

hey i just watched the kny movie for the 3rd time, so imma share some thoughts i have for funs :3 (so spoilers below)

i like how each dream interpreted nezuko differently.  in tanjiro’s, shes the most accurate to how she looked, sounded, and acted as a human, which makes sense since tanjiro grew up with her  then in zenitsu’s dream, shes his interpretation of human nezuko.  She still has her pink demon eyes and copper tips.  Her voice is also different, much cuter and more demure (I have so much praise for her va).  Zenitsu has never seen or heard human nezuko, and i love that the movie/manga shows that and shows her in zenitsu’s “ideal” image of her

the two demons at the start had really cool designs and im sad that they got killed off so quick, but at least it was in an awesome fashion 

i loved how all the kids under enmu’s command looked really tired.  poor things just want sleep

all the music is so good. rengoku vs akaza is such a great song.

im glad they didnt make us feel bad for enmu. the guy was a terrible person with a really good design, voice and plan.  he was fun to watch

even though it was so frustrating to see akaza get away, the movie/manga does an amazing job at also showing that frustration in its characters.  it created such a great moment for tanjiro and rengoku 

   (k this next part’s a bit more character analysis driven)

Idk why, but rengoku’s arc and death specifically makes me very emotional. In a series full of death and tragedy, why was it is his death that really stuck with me?  I was really not to attached to his character at first, yet his impact on The Boys really made me understand his position in the story. He’s the cool, amazing, supportive older brother, not only to our main guys, but his own family as well. So when he does die, to see all those sibling connections get cut really gets to me I guess (I’m a real sucker for sibling dynamics).

Also, the different ways the boys reacted to his death stuck out to me. Tanjiro interacted with rengoku the most during his death. Clearly, he was heartbroken, and angry too. You’d think anger would be more of a trait displayed by only inosuke, but I was surprised and genuinely moved by tanjiro’s frustrations And zenitsu, who was hardly there at all and didn’t witness his actual death and fight, took a minute to actually cry. He saw tanjiro upset, and it made him upset, showing how empathetic he is. And his crying isn’t his typically dramatic screaming, but genuine sadness that he feels and is receiving off of tanjiro. (That shot of him with his arm over his face is when I started to cry as well) And Inosuke While used as comic relief in this scene, his reaction was accurate to his character. Of course he’d want to push those sensitive emotions aside, he already had trouble understanding sympathy and empathy, feeling it this strongly must be very strange. (On a side note I’m glad we get to see him take care of tanjiro after the train crashes, showing us how he’s grown to be more gentle and genuinely cares for the safety of his friends). He doesn’t want to see his friends this sad, he wants to be able to move on and just keep fighting, but he doesn’t really know how to in this moment. He stands off to the side for a duration of the scene, and we can see he’s shaking as he’s taking a long time to process everything.  And his only solution is distraction, and desperately tries to pull his friends to fight with him so they can all move on. Inosuke is the support these two really need when dealing with grief and sadness, and I think he will be very important for them in the future.
