The wild lupines are absolutely everywhere here in New Brunswick. They’re usually out all the way to mid August. Extremely invasive but oh so pretty.

Plant of the Day
Monday 15 May 2023
The plant Lupinus nootkatensis (dwarf perennial lupin, Nootka lupin) is native to North America and is one of the species from which garden hybrids are derived. It is a robust, clump-forming perennial with flowers usually blue and white but sometimes pink, purple or pure white. These are followed by hairy green seedpods and plants will self-seed so can be considered as an invasive species in some countries. This specimen was in a beautiful Orkney garden open for charity.

Beautiful droplets. I really don't want to weed out these Lupins from the Neo Garden but I'm gonna have to eventually bite the bullet and do it;
if I ever want native Lupin (Lupinus perennis) in these gardens I'll have to not have garden lupines (Lupinus polyphyllus) to avoid interbreeding since they breed a little too zealously. It's part of why pureblood native Lupins are so hard to find even in the wild anymore.
Till I can remedy that in my gardenscapes I'll enjoy the beauty of these lads a little longer.

Lupinus albifrons var. collinus
This lupine species is native to coastal central California, form the vicinity of San Luis Obispo northward to the San Francisco Bay Area. It makes a neat mound of leaves with a silvery glint (due to the reflective hairs on its leaves). Lupines belong to the Pea Family (Fabaceae).

Derek laughs against his skin, then hooks his fingers in the fabric of Stiles’s underwear. And then- Stiles doesn’t know, his underwear must spontaneously combust or something, because Derek doesn’t pull them down but Stiles is suddenly naked all the same. Derek is a magic sex guru, apparently.
Stiles POV (chp. 1)
Around the Bend by lupinus, uraneia (AO3) Teen Wolf – Explicit – Derek Hale/Stiles Stilinski #Alternate Universe #Yoga #Fluff #Crack #First Time #The Hales are Alive #Misunderstandings #Autofellatio
The first time Derek catches sight of the new yoga instructor, Stiles is in the middle of showing a class how to do downward-facing dog. Derek walks into a wall.
Things don’t exactly improve from there.
Derek can’t stop staring at Stiles, the bendy new yoga instructor at his family’s gym. Stiles thinks Derek’s a repressed homophobe who hates Stiles for making him want the D. They fall in love.
Note: This is a restricted story and requires an AO3 account in order to read
