Starting off with Mako,he's the kind of guy that doesn't take well to someone talking to you in some kind of mean way in front of him, especially if you're more a more naive person.

Even if you take care of yourself, he's still there making sure you're away from harms way.

If you ever get hurt or kidnapped,it's over for whoever did it, it's not like he's usually a calm person,but take away his favorite person and you got yourself a big problem to deal with.

Even when you're not exactly in danger, he's there. It's sweet really,but it can also be annoying when overdone.

You like being protected by him,but not all the time, he didn't like it when you talked to Korra, claiming since she's the avatar she would draw unnecessary attention over you and put you in complicated situations.

Of course you explain to him that you're a big girl and that you can watch over yourself,but he just can't understand it. {Sigh}.

Korra? Well she had her ups and downs. But she learned ,ok? Once you two got together ,this feeling that's she allways had grew stronger,her urge to protect you.

Of course she would blame it on the fact that she's the avatar,but really it was her being protective of you.

Even before dating her ,you knew this would draw a lot of attention to yourself, and potential enemies of the avatar would want to harm you. But that didn't stop you,after all you're free to love whoever you want even if it endangers you.

When Korra faced Amon she used to be Terrified something bad would happen to you, even her dreams would be hunted by dark images. She would see Amon preparing to take away your bending,but each time she would wake up before anything happened,in cold sweat,with you by her side.

If you're a light sleeper,you would assure her nothing happened to you,and that you're okay.

Even after she defeated Amon, more villains appeared,making Korra constantly worry about you. But one thing is sure, that she would always be there to protect you,and in case anything happens,to save you.

This boy is the most carefree of them all. He doesn't really have to worry that you would be kidnapped or hurt most of the time,but if it ever happens, either someone hurt you or something went wrong in the mission?

He's full boyfriend mode on. He wouldn't be like Korra or Mako, first thing he would do is bring you to safety, revenge not being his thing.

If you're okay ,that's what matters to him. But now if you're especially targeted by someone? He's not as chill as before. Especially since he recently learned how to lava bend, which makes him a pretty strong bender, definitely not the kind you would want to piss off by chasing around his girlfriend,nu uh.

Bolin knew it was a mistake to introduce you to his boss, Varrick.

That man would make flirty jokes with you,which always made Bolin roll his eyes and mock him quietly.

So what if he's smart and rich? You wouldn't like a prick like him.

Whenever Varrick got too close, your boy would be there to put distance between the two of you. It's not that he's jealous,but he knows how his boss is.

Yeah no. I doubt anyone would even try to threaten you while she's around.

After all the power and respect she gained, expect people to fear you just because you're with her. So mostly Kuvira doesn't have to worry that anyone is gonna try anything.

After all she made quite a name for herself.

Even so, being The Great Uniter's s/o came with it's disadvantages.

For example,if someone really wanted to hurt her,they would target you. You're her soft spot,and she knows it.

Yes,you have your personal guards picked by Kuvira herself. Just because she doesn't expect you to be attacked it doesn't mean she won't be prepared for it.

You're hers,and the world knows it.

I know you said some may be missing on your characters you write for so, could you please write a mako (from LOKorra) x reader I’m not picky you can write anything if you’d rather have a prompt maybe like reader is cold or meets him as a probender and is just so startstruck. Walking to the training room, you stopped when you saw the other firebender in there and you sighed heavily, walking over to the far corner.

“Oh.. (Y/N)! Hey! Hi!” Mako smiled.

He walked over and you looked at him, as you sat down on the bench to put your training shoes on.

“What Mako?”

“Nothing, I just wanted to come talk for a little bit.” He beamed.

“Well, I’m busy, and you have a tournament to be getting too.”

Mako sighed a little and nodded his head, walking away.

He’d been trying to talk to you for weeks, he liked you, he though you were cool and amazing. The only one person probending team.

You were strong.

But that’s not why he was interested in you, he was interested in you because he just thought you were amazing.

He just didn’t know how to go about telling you that, you were so cold and distant from everyone, you didn’t talk much to anyone.

But he was determined, and that wasn’t going to stop him.

After his tournament, he went back to the training room to see that you were still in there sitting in the middle of the room.

Mako walked over, sitting in front of you with a smile on his face.

“We won.”

“Congratulations what do you want a medal? It’s your job to win.”

Mako sighed.

“Have I done something to make you mad (Y/N) because if I have I’m sorry.”

You looked up at him.

“You’re always so cold and distant whenever I try to talk to you, it’s just… I like you, okay? I think you’re amazing but every time I talk to you I get the feeling you don’t want anything to do with anyone.”

You blinked.

“You like me?”

“Well.. yeah..”

He frowned a little and looked down at you looked at him.

You did have to admit, Mako was good looking, and despite the fact he could be rude at the best of times, he’d never been rude to you.

You though maybe it was because he viewed you as weak, or fragile, and it’s why he treated you so differently.

But you were wrong.

That wasn’t the reason at all.

You looked at Mako and stood up, stopping next to him, you looked down at him.

He had his hands balled into fists, his head titled downstairs.

Reaching out, you placed your hand in his head and he froze, eyes wide.

“And I thought you were treating me differently because you saw me as weak.”

You started to walk away but you stopped, turning around to look at him.

“Well, come on Mako.”

“What? Where?”

He got up and ran after you down the hallways and out into the city.

“You’re buying me coffee.”

“Seriously?!”

You looked up at his grinning face and gestured to the coffee shop nearby.

“Lead the way.”

Mako grinned even brighter if it were possible and he quickly led the way while you walked slightly behind him

On one hand, I appreciate atla as the kid's show that it is, and there nor being too much gore and explicit horror. On the other, I notice how much I've normalised firebending to myself in the show. Like, oh it's just a bending technique at least 1/4 of the population should he able to do it. But it's terrifying, actually.

Don't get me wrong, all bending techniques are scary if you think about them for too long but like. Fire is dangerous. (groundbreaking, I know)

But I kinda forget that it is, probably due to the fact that we see it almost every episode and none of the main cast are severely injured. The outlier here is Zuko, of course, but I'd argue that his scarring feels more... deliberate? Like... Ozai decided to scar him, right?

While the horror of fighting regular ass firebenders isn't that they're abusive parents who deliberately scar their children, it's that their equivalent of throwing a punch is going flamethrower mode™️. The horror here is casualties of battle.

Like basic brawls could end in permanent disfigurement.

Looking at this scene, which I've randomly grabbed. Mako could've permanently blinded and maybe even deafened Desna on one ear.

Similarly here:

Katara narrowly dodged immense scarring and agony. Zuko is trying to hurt, if not outright kill her here.

Like sure, healing waterbending exists, but apparently that won't mend all scars and won't erase the pain.

Firebenders are unable to knock their targets out, or restrain them. Their bending style is aggressive and almost every single fire bender we encounter is playing to severely harm their opponents.

I think this is sometimes forgotten, due to our protagonists emerging from fights against firebenders miraculously unscathed.

Remembering this also makes it even easier for me to sympathise with the Gaang for not wanting Zuko around. Like. Not only has this guy been chasing them around the world... he's been trying to kill or injure them in arguably one of the cruelest ways possible that doesn't involve actual torture.

I wish there were more scenes that really hammer home how dangerous firebending is. An easy fix would be to show a scene of the characters using healing waterbending to remove burn wounds, i think? Not after some big emotional scene, or in a critical moment, but just as a grim reality of life.

Tldr; me, the idiot with skin grafts due to 2nd/3rd degree burns: fire is dangerous, guys 😯

And the burns that almost killed me weren't even from open fire. They were just from the sparks.

Korra

- Loves to make you laugh, whether it's a loud laugh or just an exhale of breath she loves to do it as much as possible. She thinks your laugh is adorable. - Korra knows a lot of sign language but is working at becoming fluent because she wants to be able to communicate with you to the fullest extent. She also finds it extremely useful in her Avatar duty as it opens her up to the non-verbal and non-hearing community. - Arguments are really funny because Korra loves to provoke people and verbally argue when angry but you don't take the bait and can easily block her out. You can also non-verbally argue much better than she can so get your way most of the time. - You balance each other out well as Korra is always pretty rash, loud and aggressive whereas you take more time to process words and behaviour. As a result Korra has learned to be calmer from you but will also react on your behalf if someone is ever being rude. - You communicate a lot through your bending. Korra is pretty much an expert at bending forms and you both get a lot from sparring together. - Gets you to read all her Avatar speeches because you're a lot better at communicating than her. - Loves showing off her Avatar powers to impress you. You used to do weights together but that turned out to be a bad idea because Korra would get too distracted trying to get you to check her out. - You're very close to Tenzin and Korra's Republic City family as the air nation is the most inclusive nation and they understand your lifestyle. You love having game nights over at Air Temple island because 1. you and Korra crush it every time and 2. they all know sign language and so all night use your language rather than you having to adapt for them.

Bolin

- Very talkative, definitely talks enough for the both of you but importantly always looks for responses whether that's signing, nods, smiles or any preferred form of communication. He never talks at you but has a conversation with you - Loves to learn more about your experience and the first time he met you he definitely bored all his friends with random facts he'd learnt for like a month. - Refuses to ever let you apologise or feel odd for being different. He's always the first person to tell you you're beautiful and valid no matter if you're deaf or mute - Will literally do anything if you ask him to. At first, Bolin would need a few helpful hints at how he can change his behaviour to be more inclusive but he'd always be receptive to any suggestion you gave him. - Bolin really struggles to use sign language but attends classes and practices every day. You actually really love helping him learn because Bolin never gets frustrated or annoyed. He just tries again and his reaction when he gets it is wonderful. - The only thing that annoys him is Pabu listens to you more than him. He can be calling him for ages but all you have to do is gently stamp your foot and he comes running. - Always notices you. You met when he was a pro-bender and there could be hundreds of fans screaming his name but his eyes will always go straight to you and a smile from you is enough to put him in a good mood for hours.

Asami

- Extremely attentive, to the extent you just have to make a face or look at her and she can guess from the situation what you need. - Would probably invent you tons of cool contraptions just to make your life easier e.g. a bed that shakes when your alarm goes off or a machine that communicates for you in public. - Asami learned sign language in like a week after she met you, she's just that good. - She never presumes to answer for you just because you're mute/deaf. She always lets you answer when someone asks a question and only jumps in if you ask her to. She knows you are capable and never patronises you. - Teaches you how to play pai sho and instantly regrets it. While she can usually read you well there's no deciphering your poker face and her cries of protest just make you smirk. - Loves treating you to gifts and surprises. Asami is rich af and so you receive amazing personalised presents at every special occasion. - She seems really strong on the outside but is more vulnerable and soft with you. You're her support system and she comes to you whenever she's stressed or nervous about something. You're an excellent shoulder to cry on and she values your advice over anyone else's. - Similarly you also feel you can show your weaknesses around Asami. Being different you often felt like you had to always prove you were just as good as a non-deaf/non-mute person to be worthy. With Asami it's not like that, she makes you realise you're already perfect which helps you laugh more when you do make mistakes. For example one day Asami got a call from your neighbours because you were blasting music without realising how loud it was. When she rushed home to tell you, you both found it hilarious and it became a running joke between you.

Mako

- Protective, when you go out in public he makes you walk on the inside of the street in case a car comes too close and you can't hear it/don't realise. - Isn't a naturally noisy or talkative person so really likes the quiet and doesn't struggle adjusting at all. He actually gets overwhelmed when he leaves your home at how noisy people are. - Decides the non-verbal and non-hearing community need better treatment so meets with Beifong about having all officers learn sign language. Mako himself is of course fluent in sign language and the two of you have tons of shortcuts and signs the two of you invented yourself. - Finds it easier to open up to you than other people. Mako has never been good with words and so he finds a freedom in communicating with you. You know more about him than anyone else does. - Only introduces you to his friends after you've been dating a while not because he's nervous for them to meet you but because he's nervous for you to meet them! He considers himself pretty lucky to have met you and doesn't want them to scare you off. So he's overly cautious but when you do meet them of course you all get along great. Mako was worried for nothing. - Learns to read the micro-expressions and body language you convey. According to Mako you have ten different types of smiles, he loves your really big smile but his favourite is your small embarrassed smile when he catches you doing something cute and he loves complimenting you on it. - Mako has never been an animal person but you convince him to get a cat and he loves the thing! You name her Sheddy Shin because she sheds so much hair which Mako finds hilarious (you call her shed for short).

Lin Beifong Headcanons

She smokes, but is constantly trying to knick the habit. Each cigarette is her last, she claims.

She likes gardening, which started with helping Aang on the island as a little girl. Toph made fun of her for it, so she quit pretty early on. She takes it up again after retiring.

She retires when Toph dies.

Her becoming police chief is why she and Tenzin broke up, not because of some love triangle with Pema. Both understood she couldn’t be his wife/mother to his children and be the leader of the police force, and her taking the job made it clear to both of them that their relationship would never move beyond the two of them. (As I type this, I realize this might actually be more canon than headcanon but I’m putting it in here anyway.)

She chose not to have kids because she didn’t want to fuck the kid’s life up like her own mom did with her.

The stress of her job makes her have severe migraines.

She’s a casual probending fan and catches a match on the radio once in a blue moon, mostly whenever it’s just her working late in the office. She likes reading the results in the newspaper the next day.

She does a lot for the community, but does it anonymously. Like, donating money to the local homeless shelter and sponsoring rookies who can’t quite afford gear/supplies at the police academy (she anonymously sponsored Mako).

She’s super wealthy because she invests and lives a very frugal life. Su, however, lives the lifestyle of a wealthy person but is actually in debt. When they reconnect, Lin helps her organize her finances.

Tenzin called her before his wedding begging her to reconsider a life with him. She hung up on him. And out of (eventual) respect for Pema, she never tells anyone the truth about it. She holds her tongue whenever somebody—usually Korra or her gang—brings up Pema stealing Tenzin from her.

She was close with Katara and Kya, but intentionally pulled away after the break up. It would be weird/awkward hanging out with her ex’s family.

She knows Tenzin can’t go into the spirit world.

She met little kid Korra a few times (but kept her distance).

She introduces Mako to his eventual wife.

NSFW She and Tenzin had a very passionate sex life (and none of them have felt that intense passion with anybody else). But they’ll never admit it out loud.

After All These Years (Korra X Reader) TLOK

A/N: Y’all i’ve been binging TLOK and naturally i just became infatuated with our girl Korra so i had to write something for her. I’ve never written for the Avatar fandom before so i really hope i got her character right and that y’all enjoy this! <3 Will likely just have one more part!

Words: 2k

The very first time you ever saw Korra was when you attended a pro-bending match with your sister and from the moment you laid eyes on her you knew she was special. Once it was announced she was the Avatar, it was like it all clicked together in your head.

She was funny, she was skilled, and she had moxie. That much was obvious when she delivered a knockout and secured the Fire Ferrets Spot in the championship. You knew she was destined for greatness and that Republic City was heading for change. You didn’t know you’d be lucky enough to be joining her in her journey. And you especially didn’t know just how hard you’d end up falling for her.

Your very first formal introduction to her was at the gala Tarrlock had held in her honor. You could tell she didn’t really want to be there as it was quite obvious to everyone in attendance that it was just another ploy to get her to join his task force. Considering how you weren’t a fan with the way politics functioned in Republic City you understood her reluctance.

“Sure was nice of Tarrlock to throw you this elaborate gala. It definitely doesn’t come off as a power grab and I’m sure there’s no other underlying scheme at play.”

“He’s not fooling anyone, huh?” she turned and grinned at you.

“Not at all,” you smiled back and extended your hand to her. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Avatar Korra, I’m (Y/N) (L/N).”

“It’s nice to meet you too,” she smiled as she shook your hand and pondered on your name. “Wait a minute… (Y/N) (L/N)… are you the one that-”

“Wrote about your infiltration of the equalist meeting in the Republic City Journal? Yes, yes I am.”

“I remember your name. It was nice to see someone not write mean things about me in the papers for once.”

“All I did was state the facts and report on your heroic acts,” you lightly chuckled. “I just have to say, I was extremely moved by your bravery that night. Amon is not a light threat but you saved your friend and I know you’re going to find a way to beat him.”

“Wow, thank you,” she briefly blushed. “Really, I appreciate the vote of confidence. It’s refreshing, to say the least.”

“I know your first few weeks here have been rough but trust me, Republic City is happy to have you here. You have more supporters than you think. I may not be a bender but if you ever need me, for whatever reason, you can definitely count on me. It’d be an honor to help the Avatar.”

Korra smiled and was going to say something but was pulled aside by Tarrlock. You were annoyed at his interruption, you never were too fond of that man in the first place but you knew you’d see Korra again. Especially since your sister was dating her pro-bender teammate.

And right you were as a couple days later you saw her in your own home at the Sato mansion.

“(Y/N)!,” Korra greeted you. “It’s so nice to see you. Are you here to write a report on Mr. Sato?”

“Well I’m technically always on the job as you never know when a story may call but no actually. This is my home and when Asami told me the Avatar was going to stop by I had to make sure I wouldn’t miss it.”

“Wait, you live here?” she looked between you and Asami. “Are you two sisters?”

“Yup,” Asami chimed in and playfully leaned on your shoulder. “Dad adopted (Y/N) when she was like seven.”

“That explains why you have a different last name,” Korra thought out loud.

“Actually I did have the option to change my last name if I wanted to. Dad said the decision was completely up to me if I wanted to carry his last name and I almost did but I decided I wanted to break into the world on my own and he respected my decision.”

“Sato or not, (Y/N)’s part of our family and we can’t imagine our life without her,” Asami added while simultaneously giving you an affectionate side hug.

You remember that day very well as it was the day you and Korra beat Asami and Mako at the race track. She was so excited and you remember the rush you felt when she hugged you in celebration. At the time you didn’t know any better and chalked it up to adrenaline from winning the race. Plus you've never had these kinds of feelings for another girl before.

It’s hard to pinpoint the exact moment you fell in love with Korra. You were always fond of her as she was always a good friend to you. Especially during the time you and Asami found out your father was the one assisting Amon and his equalist movement.

“Been looking everywhere for you,” she approached you as you overlooked the streets of Republic City from the airship. “Are you okay?”

“I should’ve known,” you mumbled. “How could I have not known? I’m a journalist for spirits sake and it happened right beneath us. Right under our home. I just can’t believe any of this.”

The tears that piled at your eyes were finally released as you couldn’t hold them anymore. You quickly went to wipe them away and that’s when you felt Korra put a comforting hand on your shoulder.

“You can’t blame yourself, you couldn’t have known. He worked really hard to keep this from you and Asami and you had no reason to suspect him,” she turned away but you didn’t miss the look of regret on her face. “I’m sorry for causing all this pain to your family. Believe me, I wish it didn’t have to be this way.”

“Korra you have nothing to apologize for, you didn’t do anything wrong. He did. You’ve been such a good friend to me and Asami and I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

“You won’t have to,” she smiled at you.

She smiled at you and you swear it was one of the warmest smiles you’ve ever seen. Maybe it was the surge of emotions but before you knew it you were wrapping your arms around her in a hug. she reciprocated the action.

“Thank you so much for everything, especially for offering to take us in,” you said over her shoulder.

“Of course, I talked things over with Tenzin and you guys are welcome to stay as long as you need,” she rubbed circles onto your back. “We’re all happy to help.”

Korra was essential in helping you overcome your father’s betrayal. Your friendship only grew stronger as you both relied and supported each other throughout the whole ordeal with Amon. When Korra briefly lost her bending your heart ached for her. You hated seeing her in such a state of despair. Thankfully it didn’t last long as she was able to regain her connection to all the elements but then came Unalaq.

It always seemed like right when one problem was cleared another problem would arise. But that’s just the thing isn't it? The world will always need to be balanced. The world will always need its Avatar and the Avatar will always find a way to win. However it was the last crisis that really scared you.

When Zaheer had captured Korra you were absolutely losing your mind with worry. He tricked her, he tricked everyone, and she was gone. When you and the rest of the crew had finally found her it was too late, the poison was in effect. You were extremely concerned and terrified at the thought of losing her but something inside told you that these feelings surpassed anything on a platonic level. That was when you knew. You were in love with her.

You told yourself once this battle with Zaheer was over you were going to tell her how you felt but you couldn’t bring yourself to do it. Korra had beaten Zaheer but she was far from unscathed. You wanted to tell her how you felt but admittedly part of you feared she would not reciprocate your feelings and you didn’t want to burden her with any unnecessary stress. Ultimately you decided that she needed to focus on her healing, your feelings could wait. What mattered most was that she was alive and safe and you were grateful to have many more chances to hug her in the future.

The last time you saw Korra was when you were helping her get dressed for Jinora’s ceremony. It had been a few weeks since her poisoning but she looked as despondent as she did on the first night of her recovery. Though you knew she wasn’t totally feeling up for it, you admired that she still found the strength to make it to her friend’s special occasion.

“There,” you said as you placed the final pin in her hair and turned her chair to face the mirror. “All ready for your royal Avatar appearance. You look really beautiful Korra.”

“Thank you,” she smiled but it was distant.

You debated your next words, it truly pained you to see her so dejected.

“Y’know it’s only been a few weeks,” you comfortingly put your hands on her shoulders. “No one’s expecting you to make a full recovery right away.”

“But I should be getting better by now, why am I not getting better? What if some other bad guy comes around and threatens the world? I can’t fight them like this… I can’t be the Avatar…”

You pondered your words carefully. It wasn’t just that Korra was injured, she felt defenseless. You knew that all she wanted was to be the Avatar. She’s always fully embraced her destiny, one of the many things you admired about her, and now she feels powerless to do so.

“I can’t promise you there won’t ever be another threat but… Korra you almost died saving the air nation. Your sacrifice will be remembered for generations to come, because of you we have airbenders again. The world will always need you but right now you need to focus on healing and let the world handle things for a little while. We’ll be okay. We’re all just really glad to still have you here with us.”

She looked up at your reflection in the mirror and gently squeezed one of the hands you placed on her shoulder.

“I really appreciate you being here with me, (Y/N). It means a lot to me.”

At this her hand gently fell and your heart sunk.

“Thanks but this is something I need to do alone.”

It hurt that she rejected your company but you chose to respect her wishes regardless.

“Well, if you change your mind I’m only an airship ride away,” you gave her a small, heartfelt smile. “Come on, we should probably start heading down there now.”

That was the last time Team Avatar was together. And now finally after three long years you were all reuniting again. You wish it was under better circumstances but if you’re honest you’re just glad you’ll be seeing Korra again. You didn’t have the chance to miss the rest of the crew because after Jinora’s ceremony you all returned to Republic City together and regularly maintained contact. Korra, however, was very silent until one day she finally started replying to your letters and you both established a mostly steady correspondence. She had asked you to not tell the others she was only writing to you as she didn’t want to hurt their feelings nor did she know what to say to them. It was hard to lie to your friends whenever they asked if you’ve heard from Korra but you really wanted to respect her wishes. Still, there was a guilty, selfish part of you that was happy you were the one she chose to confide in.

But after today your little secret comes to an end. After all these years, with the exception of Bolin but that’s a whole other story, your beloved crew shall become one again.

Welcome to Republic City

Y/N was walking to the compound to watch Korra's bending test which she already knew her sister passed. As she walked in she heard Korra "Woohoo! Hey, why all the doom and gloom, people? We should be celebrating three elements down, one to go". "You're getting ahead of yourself as usual, Korra. We haven't decided if you passed your firebending test yet". "Ever since you were a little girl, you've excelled at the physical side of bending, but completely ignored the spiritual side. The Avatar must master both". Korra was now pouting Y/N chuckled at that she knew her sister. Korra quickly replied "I haven't ignored it, it just doesn't come as easy to me. But that's why I should start training with Tenzin immediately. He's Mister Spiritual".

"I think my sister has proven to have master fire bending , hasn't she master Katara?"

Y/N said with a smile as she walked to where everyone was the masters saw the young avatars sister walking to where they were. Y/N was now stood next to Korra ,Y/N bowed to the masters as the the master did the same to the prodigy water bending master. "Do you believe she's ready, Master Katara?" The white Lotus leader asked Katara "Yes. If anyone can teach her what she needs to learn, it's Tenzin." katara said with a smile. Y/N smiled at that, Korra would soon be the avatar and helping people.

She was only brought back out of thoughts when she heard Korra "Yes! Finally! , I mean, thank you all for believing in me" Y/N just smiled at that as she was tackled into a hug by her sister which Y/N laughed at but hugged her sister back , soon Korra let go of Y/N and started walking but unable to hold her excitement, breaking into a run leaving the training ground as the master watch her. "It's good to see you Y/N" Y/N turned around and went up to hug her former water bending master as she did katara just chuckled at the young masters child like behavior "it's good to see you too master katara" Y/N said as she let go of katara. Katara motioned for the young master to follow her and so Y/N did she could tell that katara wanted to talk to her it had been awhile since they had talked.

A few days later, Tenzin arrived with a very pregnant Pema, and his three kids. Katara greets her son and his family immediately while Y/N was walking to where Korra was as she had just gotten there. Korra watched the youngest son of Avatar Aang's with her big eyes full of excitement and a huge smile on face. Y/N in the other hand was much more reserved than Korra as for Y/N did not smile as much.

Tenzin looked over his mother shoulders to see the two young ladies standing there. "Korra, Y/N." Korra sprinted to where Tenzin was standing, ready to meet her new teacher, while Y/N walked forward "look at you Korra, you've grown into quite the young Avatar." His eyes lit up to see the young prodigy water bending master. "Y/N look at you, I have to say you are quite the fighter bending and non-bending." The girl nods at the airbending master. "Thank you master Tenzin." YN bowing to the airbending master soon be in interrupted by Korra,Y/N was not surprised to say the least that Korra would do so. "Master Tenzin, I'm so glad you're here. I can't wait to get started" he looks down at the young avatar finding it hard to tell her "yes, we'll..." Tenzin said with a sigh.

"You're going to have to tell her sooner or later" Pema said to her husband as she put her hand on his arm Korra now looking at Pema fully with a confused expression. "Tell me what?" Korra asked the airbening master with a hit disappointment and sadness in her voice "you're not staying, are you?" Katara asked her son sadly Tenzin sigh before speaking "I'm afraid not. We're only visiting for the night. Then I have to return to Republic City" "But ... no, you're supposed to move here. You're supposed to teach me" Y/N was now there standing next to Korra look at her sister Y/N had never been the one on to be touchy-feely as she says but looking at her sister face full of disappointment and sadness. she wished she could've done something that would her out ( y'all I can't write this part it's bit boring, so imma skip some of the talking, please don't hate me)

Afater Korra talked with katara she left the compound say goodbye to her parents but Y/N wasn't going to let her sister go by herself. Y/N had been to Republic city couple of times but she didn't know the streets well enough but new enough to get to Air temple island "where do you think your going?"

Y/N asked as she walked up behind her parents "ummm... nowhere I umm..." Korra knew she couldn't lie to Y/N she knew her to well so she gave up and told her where she was going "fine I'm going to Republic city to train with Master Tenzin" "alright let's go" "your going with me?" Korra asked Y/N "yeah come on let's got now I think I have everything, I knew you would leave so I had everything packed and ready to go" Y/N said as she got on Naga. "bye mom,bye dad , we love you" they said before they left.

Time skip to where Korra is at the shops with Y/N

"Korra we're lost aren't we?" Y/N said a bit pissed at Korra for running away form she had to find her again so here they are lost. " yea we are but let me ask those people over there" Korra said to Y/N and walked over to the people when where there as Y/N tried to figure out where they were. "Excuse me, I think I'm lost." Korra said as she walked closer to the old lady "How do I get to Air temple Island from here?" the old women points Korra to Air temple island as she does a red Satomobile turns the street. "You should get going young lady" lord worm said to Korra clearly she was scared " it isn't safe" she whispered to Korra. ( oki so this is a lot of writing so imma skip agin I know this is my second time I promise maybe one more skip form her than I'll stop).

"KORRA WHAT DID YOU DO!?!?" Y/N yelled at Korra while she ran to where Korra was but Korra was to busy watching the metal benders as they used there cable to lower themselves to down the ground "Police! Freeze, where you are" One of the officers said. "Cool! metalbenders" Korra said excitedly Y/N on the other hand was still pissed , she didn't want to get arrested just because of her sister. "I caught the bad guys for you, officers." Korra said to the officer "arrest them!" the officer said as three officers went to arrest the gangsters. Than officer pointed at Korra "you're under arrest, too" Korra took a step back than defensively "what do you mean I'm under arrest?" Korra than pointing at the gangsters and said "those are the bad guys over there! They were smashing up a shop" " from the looks of it, you smash up a lot more" He took up a fighting stance and shot a cable to bind Korra. However Korra quickly moved out of the way and pulling the cable back.

"Wait, you - you can't arrest me!" her arms were trembling due to the fact that she was pulling the cable's to stop the officer from arriving her "Let me explain!" " You can explain yourself all you like, down at headquarters" the officer said trying to retract the cable. "Please officer you can't arrest her" Y/N tried to reason with the officer but it didn't work "I'm sorry ma'am you need to understand we're just doing our job". Korra let's go of the cable and gets on Naga than starts to get away format he police " KORRA! NO JUST GO WITH THEM" Y/N yelled at Korra but Korra had already left and now Y/N was stuck. 'We'll this just is great first day in Republic city and she gets herself arrested now I have to go to Air temple island Teznin gong to kill me' Y/N thinks as she walking a to air temple Island. Y/N makes it to air temple island as she steps in the island she heard the air bending kids and as she walked up the stairs she saw at same time they saw her "Y/N" they screamed as they tackled her into a hug she Y/N wasn't a fan of hug but she only allowed some people to hug. "Hey kids can you tell me where your dad is?" "Dads in his office" Jinora told Y/N "alright thank you Jinora" Y/N said as she walked to Tenzin's office.

Y/N Pov

'Alright all I need to do is knock on the door and tell Tenzin that Korra got arrested or does he already know?' I though I was about to knock when the door opened and on the other side was the airbending master. He looked shocked to see me but soon he collect himself and cleared his throat "I'm guessing you already know Korra got arrested?" I asked "I I why what are you doing here and yes I do know" "well I'll tell you why me and Korra are here once we get here Tenzin" I told the airbending master.

Time skip to where they are at the police station

"Chief, councilman Tenzin is here" I heard one of the metal bending officers "let him in" I heard a gruff but soft voice. As we walked in I saw Korra cuffed to a metal table and than I saw her she was the beautiful to say the least the chief of police , standing tall with authority 'so this is Lin Beifong she's so hot' I think to myself 'am I blushing !?!??' I tried to hide my blush it was a good thing no one was looking or paying attention to me. I was bought back out of my thoughts when I heard Korra's voice " Tenzin sorry... I got a little sidetracked on my way to see you" I mentally slap myself hearing Korra say that " Lin, you are looking radiant as usual" "Cut the garbage, Tenzin. Why is the Avatar in Republic City? I thought you were supposed to be moving down to the South Pole to train her" the chief asked Tenzin aggressively clearly she was annoyed.

"My relocation has been delayed. The Avatar, on the other hand, will be heading back to the South Pole immediately, where she will stay put" "but-" Korra try's to protest but it didn't work as she got cut off by Tenzin "If you would be so kind as to drop the charges against Korra, I will take full responsibility for today's regrettable events and cover all the damage" "fine" the chief says while crossing her arms and metal bends the cuff as Korra rubs her wrist "get her out of my city" "always a pleasure Lin" he turns to Korra and said in a hard tone "let's go Korra" as we were walking out I saw at the corner of my eyes the chief looking at me I tried not to think about it. When I look back I see the chief with her index and pinky figure out pointing it to her eyes than to Korra. As sign 'saying I'll be watching you' I see Korra mock her. 'Do you have death wish Korra' I think to myself when I see her mocking the chief.

Finally we make it back to Air temple island as the boat docks we see three gliders heading out 'it's the kids' I think to myself. "KORRA!" I hear Ikki and Meelo yell happily as they run to hug Korra Jinora stays behind until Korra motion hurt to join the group hug and so so does as she runs and hugs Korra. "Are you coming to live with us on the island?" Ikki asked Korra excitedly I just stayed quiet to see what Korra says "No, I'm sorry, Ikki. I have to go home now." Korra say sadly and I sigh as we start walking up to the Southern Water Tribe boat that had arrived with the white lotus members. I put my arm around Korra's shoulders to gave her some comfort and it does.

"Wait" we nothing stop walking and look back at Teznin "I have done my best to guide Republic City toward the dream my father had for it, but you're right. It has fallen out of balance since he passed. I thought I should put off your training in order to uphold his legacy" Tenzin walks up to Korra and out a hand her shoulder I smile at that it's rare for me to smile I don't often but I do smile "but you are his legacy. You may stay and train airbending here with me" Korra gasps as I just watch her r"Republic City needs its Avatar once again" "Yes! Thank you! You're the best!" Korra excitedly says "yaaaaaaay" the three kids celebrate as Korra pulls me and the three kids into a group than pulls Tenzin as well.

"Hello?" Korra say into the microphone "I'm Korra, your new Avatar" as the crowd cheer for Korra "Does this mean you've moved to Republic City?" "Were you trying to send a message to the Triads yesterday?" "Will you be fighting crime or the Anti-bending Revolution, or both?" "Will you be working with Chief Beifong and the police?" I'm a bit worried Korra has never been out anywhere so this is new to her but she doing great I am standing next to Tenzin on the lest as the chief of police stand to Korra's right. I can see the Chief glacing in my direction every once in a while I don't know why. Korra is a bit confused but she's holding up great "uh ... yes, I am definitely here to stay, but honestly I - I don't exactly have a plan yet. See, I'm still in training, but, look, all I know is Avatar Aang meant for this city to be the center of peace and balance in the world, and I believe we can make his dream a reality. I look forward to serving you." I smiled at my sister she did a great job for her first time being out in public. At the corners of my eyes I see the chief look at me she looks so be deep in though I don't know what about but looks relaxed but not for long as she is brought back out of her thoughts she. She hears the crowd cheer for Korra. Than I see the chiefs face shift into her 'work mode' as I call it.

Lin's pov

As I stand I look at the water tribe girl that came in with Teznin she's quite the sight 'she's beautiful' wait what am I think 'stop it Beifong focus' as I turned my head towards the left I see her smile 'oh god her smile it's so beautiful it's so perfect and uhg come on Beifong focus, focus Beifong'. Im brought back out of my thoughts when I hear the crowd cheering it's over finally and the avatar is staying well she better not cause any more trouble. 'Who is the water tribe girl that can with Tenzin? What's her name?' I wonder as look ahead.

Somewhere in a warehouse

"I'm so happy to be here. Thank you, Republic City!" "All right, that's all the questions the Av-" the lieutenant turns off the radio "Amon, how do you want to handle this?" the lieutenant ask his boss "So, the Avatar has arrived early." as he truns and reveal masked face "It looks like we'll have to accelerate our plans" Amon says while turning off the radio.

A/n: keep the requests coming people

When Mako first met you he knew you were trouble. From the way you were talking to how you acted,he knew.

You're the kind of person that says ACAB,very loudly, near a police station just to piss him off,and don't deny it.

Becoming friends was unusual to him,only for him to realize you're a really good friend but have odd ways of showing it.

One time this dude went off on Bolin, yelling something about his cabbages,until you appeared in front of him.

He swears he never saw someone go quiet that fast before. That's the first time he felt something for you(or so he thinks).

Mako would be reluctant in confessing to you. He would be worried you don't like him back or laugh about it in his face.

But it was nothing like that, because he didn't confess. You did. During a fight with the equalizers.

It was sorta funny really,for a few minutes mako thought he got knocked out and he was dreaming.

"Hey mako?" A punch in one's face, "What is it (Name)?" He dodges an attack.

"I like you!" You wink at him,after knocking an enemy out.

Oh and the expression on his face 😭

Yeah after you got rid of Amon's followers,Mako looked at you like you asked him to marry you.

It wasn't a shock when you got together, everyone shiped you.

The two of you are an amazing duo,bad ass boyfriend and even more bad ass girlfriend.

When he joined the police department,you joined him.

Now Mako knows your beautiful,and strong,but he still hates the way his colleagues undress you with their eyes.

God forbid anyone to try to ask you out without knowing you and Mako date.

It would sometimes create arguments between you two, Mako would say some harsh things,things he didn't mean. Of course the next day you'd make up.

But if it was for a girl to flirt with Mako, you wouldn't get all defensive because you trust him.

Now, leaving that aside.

One thing Mako noticed is that you can take good care of yourself,so you never were in need of help in combat.

But if it ever happens ,his whole world would crash,like if you're a bender, imagine Amon taking away your abilities.

Even without your bending you would be confident and strong,which makes Mako admire you more than before.

On top of it,you're great together and most of the people would say so.

Now Bolin here? Oh Bolin, when he first saw you his pupils turned to hearts,and I'm not joking.

Like,you would be over there with your cool car or cool motorcycle,and Bolin would gawk at you from across the street. He almost fainted when you crossed the street to start a conversation with him.

Of course Bolin would be a flustered mess every time you flirted with him.

Frankly all you wanted was a soft boy to match with your tough personality. The people who don't know you would think you'd prefer a boy with the same personality as you,but no, Bolin is the perfect boy.

Some people think you're intimidating,but not Bolin.

He knows you're badass,but he could never see you as scary.

He likes when you stand up for yourself,and for him.

One time Bolin happened to trip over this guy's cabbage stand,and he just flipped! Started yelling at the poor boy and all.

Until you came,you gave that man the coldest glare which made him shut up so quick. He couldn't lie to himself that he found it really attractive, especially in you.

I like to think that he confessed his love to you while you were saving him from Amon with the Krew. Imagine him just jumping on you , bawling his eyes out and telling you he's in love with you after he almost lost his bending.

Of course you accepted and returned his feelings,wich got the two of you in a long term relationship that is still strong.
