The Time Travelers of Atlantis: The Lost Empire

Atlantis: The Lost Empire is set in 1914, as evidenced in it’s opening scene with Milo at the Smithsonian. In the following scenes, there’s a couple timeline discrepancies.

As Milo chases Mr. Fenton Q. Harcourt out of the Smithsonian, they run past an Uncle Sam poster exclaiming “I want you for US Army!” This poster was not created until 1917.

As the expedition begins, Wilhelmina Packard addresses the crew and passengers through a Public Address System (PA) on the ship and on the sub. The first Public Address system was not implemented until 24DECEMBER1915.

Through out the film, we see soldiers wearing gas masks. The mass production of gas masks did not occur until after the use of chlorine gas at the Second Battle of Ypres on 22APRIL1915, and the Large Box Respirators seen within the film wouldn’t be invented until Autumn of 1915.

Preston Whitmore is clearly cosplaying as Captain Crunch, who was not invented until 1963.

During the sub’s descent Wilhelmina Packard is catching up with her old friend Marge when we hear this: “So I says to him, ‘What’s wrong with my meatloaf?’ And he says to me--Hang on a second, Margie, I got another call. Sir, we’re approaching coordinates. Hello, Margie? Yeah, so anyways, he says ...” Call waiting wasn’t invented until the 1970s.

The modern, rubberized Whoopee Cushion/Razzberry Cushion wasn’t created until the 1920s.

The patent for the sleep mask wasn’t filed until 27AUGUST1930, and wouldn’t be granted until 1933.

As Jebidiah Allardyce "Cookie" Farnsworth is driving away from the blaze inside the volcano, a small tracked umbilicaled robot can be seen driving ahead of him. The first tracked robot was not created until France employed the Crocodile Schneider Torpille Terrestre (Terrestrial Torpedo) in 1916. Wall-E isn’t set until 2805.

Weekly Update 9/16/2018

Commissioneda an Xmen cosplay for Margie Cox! Its a take on the xsuit but has a little more freedom to be used as multiple characters. It will give me something fun to wear at local cons and if I go to any big con. I still eventually want to do a Sith and Captain Marvel Cosplay. Found a local store that I should be able to get go go boots at in a size eleven.

Taking some time for myself now that I do not have any spin or yoga studios to go to. Need to figure out what yoga poses I can do at home to keep some of my flexibility. Mostly I need to keep my hips loose since I walk so much at work. I plan to get my mountain bike up and running on one off my days off. Need to keep some of the muscle memory I got from all the spin classes.

Volunteering at the museum tomorrow to help with the traveling exhibit tare down. It should not be hard if we have a decent amount of people. I signed up recently to help with the breast cancer walk that takes place the end of October. Signed up to help with the merchandise booth. Hoping its will be a good experience that I can add to my resume or LinkedIn.
