I like what you wrote about this being Danny as his alt! Jason, but I also like the idea that Jason's family are descendants of the original Dullahan. He just didn't know it since he didn't know his bio mom.

Anyway, the family gets one extra life, which his bio-mom used up before, and that's why she died in the explosion that took Jason's first life. He wanders Gotham the first year as a zombie because he doesn't have his head until Danny finds it and helps reunite him.

But that year, Jason forgot who he was, and he was filled with nothing but questions and anger. Danny decided to be the bridge between worlds and stuck around to help him. Instead of Jason ending up with the League of Shadows, he is in Ghost King Phantom's court and is living in a small house on the outskirts of Gotham, trying to learn his new ghost powers.

Danny is super excited since this is the closest he's gotten to another Halfa since Vlad, and yeah, it's a little scary that they can't get his head to stick on his body since they've been apart for too long, but Danny is working on it.

In the meantime, they have Jason wear a red Biker helmet that he never takes off. Nothing can go wrong with that! The fact that Joker used to do the same thing as Red Hood meant nothing to Danny and his roommate, who enjoyed gardening, cooking dinner, and sitting together to watch a movie!

The occasional cuddle here and there! Slight domestic bliss sprinkled in!

I think it's pretty clear that the Rat Grinders didn't kill Lucy purposefully. Partly because of what we learned about how the rage kills, but mostly because I can't see Brennan making a bunch of loser 15 year olds cold-hearted killers (well...maybe Kipperlilly). They may have done so accidentally in self defense vs Lucy essentially killing herself with rage, that part remains unclear. However, I do think that the subsequent coverup has absolutely been deliberate. I think that prior to Lucy's death, the Rat Grinders were involved in trying to revive the rage god and things got out of hand. I don't think they became involved out of love for the thing itself. More likely, they have their own individual motivations that were played upon by someone else, which is why their actions seem so weird and disparate. Ruben and his sudden transition into emo fame; Kipperlilly and her bid for power in the school/revenge against the bad kids for being idk cooler than her I guess; Buddy and his clear attempts to establish his grandfather in the school to spread the word of Sol....I'm sure with more digging compelling motives for Mary Ann, Oisin and Ivy will be found. I can even see Lucy originally being for it if she thought they were a sibling of her god that had once been a benevolent force and potentially could be one again.

I think an opportunistic adult/adults who seek to bring back this god probably used the Rat Grinders, selling them a chance to have their dreams come true AND one-up their rivals by recreating one of the bad kid's primary achievements: reviving a dead god. That same person could now be threatening them with revealing their hand in Lucy's death to ensure their continued cooperation. I do think the Rat Grinders have a 'divide and conquer' approach where not all of them have the same amount or same type of information (i.e. Kipperlilly excluding Oisin from obtaining the arcano-tech), which is why some of them come off as less suspicious than the others, but I don't think any of them are innocent. It would be pretty bizarre for your party member to die in the tutorial level woods at school and have absolutely no desire to probe deeper into that. The fact that absolutely none of them have indicated they looked for Lucy after her disappearance and immediately replaced her is NOT a good look. If I had to pick a mastermind of the group who has all the information as the primary planner, my money is on Kipperlilly.

I don't have a clear suspect for the adult influence but Jace Stardiamond has come up wayy too many times in seemingly disparate instances for my comfort. I admit to a lack of motive as of now, but we also barely know anything about the guy, so I'm hoping new information will come to light. I am intrigued by the theory that Porter may be a paladin of this god, knowingly or unknowingly, but I also don't think it's necessarily automatically a bad thing. His thoughts on rage seem very...balanced? I could honestly see him being an adherent of what perhaps was the god's original aspect, rage as a warm presence and a shield, or someone who hopes to return that god to that aspect. I have a hard time seeing him as the type of mastermind that a convoluted plan like this requires, but I won't rule him out as a foot soldier. Lola Embers I've been side eyeing but if Ruben is her new darling, I can imagine him asking her to request the venue of the festival be at the Thistlesprings and that's the end of her involvement. Henry Hopclap is also not above suspicion given his relation to Ruben and the fact that the arcano-tech under the stage seemed pretty advanced (none of the Rat Grinders strike me as particularly talented artificiers capable of something like that), but I'll admit other than that I've got nothing on him.

Ultimately, while Ruben released something incredibly powerful with his ritual, it was clearly merely a first step in a longer plan. Given all the "random" rage outbursts and what we found out at the farm, I'm betting that the rituals performed so far have been to literally poison the earth, leading to everyone in the area breathing in the rage cocaine, therefore expanding this god's influence and making it easier for them to anchor themselves to the material plane. They're going to most likely recreate the ritual Bakur attempted but in the correct place, the school gym, as that is where YES! was created during prom. The real mystery right now is exactly how far are they into this plan, and is it already too late to stop it?

Wrath of the Wishmaster..... plus..... Human AU.....?

I emerge in a delirious state of half-asleep headaches and listening to parents try and fail to set up a Ring doorbell for at least 3 hours to bring a brainstorm dump post.

I like the Human AUs I see for prohibitedwish, and I wanted to throw my cake onto the buffet table. I'm spinning this as tangentially related to Wrath of the Wishmaster, but there's some major differences.

So, behold, my half-baked nonsense!

Scarab and Prismo work in the same company, obviously. Not sure what the company is. Maybe they live in the same apartment building too, idk.

Prismo works somewhere high up in Graphic Design? Maybe an article writer? Idk for certain.

I know a lot of folks have Scarab keep his title as Auditor, or put him in finance, but I submit to the Midnight Society that Scarab works HR. It's his job to track down and handle write ups. He's not well liked, but he is good at his job.

This AU would lean hard into ADHD Prismo and Autistic Scarab.

Scarab actually really wants to work in some creative department, but no one gives him a shot because of how he acts (very precise, very orderly, rule and detail oriented).

Scarab still has chronic pain (this time in one of his legs), and bouts of vertigo. He uses his cane fairly regularly, but he actually likes collecting and customizing fancy handles for it.

Orbo is still a dirtbag (because I can't get enough of him just being the worst), but he can't exactly cripple Scarab in the same way he did in WoTWM. So, instead, he's a bully of a manager. Makes it an office wide game to rile up Scarab into a "freak out" (read: meltdown).

Prismo is pretty charming and well liked, even across departments, and is also pretty good at his job. But, he get's hella insomnia, and he gets very easily bored at work. He actually spends, like, half of his work day goofing off and working on pet projects.

Scarab is constantly trying to catch Prismo in the act to write him up finally, but is always just a little too late. He knows Prismo slacks off, he just has never been able to catch him.

Prismo plans and throws a lot of office parties, mostly as an excuse to not think for a few hours.

Scarab doesn't attend, mostly because it's overstimulating as hell, but also because he doesn't think he'd be welcome despite being an "open invite."

Idr how canon dsmp is to q!Phil but he still has the friendship emerald charm hanging from his hat. Perhaps it's from the Antarctic Empire days instead. Idk, I just like the character design of Dangly Thing On Hat Brim too much to exclude it from his design in my head (I should rlly attempt to doodle my Phil beyond the random notebook ones I've done. Maybe I'll post those if asked idk)

I wouldn't say he has a bad temper. He's very well-practiced at self-control. However, there are certain things that set him off so severely, he throws self-control out the window. Those things aren't worthy of him trying to be "the bigger person." They deserve their ass handed to them right here right now (see: The Codes pre-current lore).

In a similar vein, when the situation isn't one of those special Fuck This incidences, he still doesn't have a temper, but when he finally snaps, he SNAPS. Like on a The Polycule be like "mark me down as scared and horny" level of snap. When you get on the Angel of Death's last fucking nerve he let's you KNOW.

I'm self-projecting here: this fucking idiot man has a detrimental habit of insisting on handling stuff like anxiety alone. He hates when people see him without his composure. It's not even like an embarrassing thing, it's just very uncomfortable to him. So when a panic attack hits or he finally concedes and let's himself cry, it's alone. And sometimes that makes it worse. But even that doesn't make him change his mind. "Keep it together for the kids," right? :')

Your talks about Missa's mischaracterization are exactly why I made a post specifically asking for Missa mains to give me their analyses for me to reference in Awake Me From My Nightmare.

I even went as far as to slap some parts of the post in Google Translate encouraging Spanish qsmp fans to reply to me and I'd just have someone translate their analysis for me. Which I did (thank u Kami ily). And I was so fucking happy when more of my responses came from Spanish speaking fans than English. Peak QSMP moment <3

But anyway yeah. Missa's characterization has been lowkey my biggest concern writing the fic tbh. I wanna do him justice. He definitely isn't written as a pathetic woobified uwu cinnamon roll, that's for sure.

I've been staring very hard at the paragraphs people gave me on his character and I THINK I've been doing a decent job at balancing the "gets overwhelmed by things" wet cat side Crows see AND the "um actually he could kick your ass and can be a bitchy little shit" reality?? Mans is getting lots of moments where he's like "fuck this" and gets ready to Literally Fight God. There's still lots of tears, but like, if YOUR husband was in front of you covered in his own blood and lookin like he's rapidly wasting away in real time, you'd be an emotional wreck too. So I'm decently confident in his characterization, but I still have that "AAAAA I HOPE I'M DOING THIS RIGHT" worry. 100% gonna be clinging to comments from readers about if I did him justice. So far I've characterized everyone (Phil, Fit, Etoiles) super well according to readers. 😭🙏🏻 Hoping I keep up the streak with Missa in Chapter 3.

And on a semi-related note, GOD I wish there were more YouTube clip compilations of Missa moments. Like idec if they're not just qsmp, I want more of them in general!! Idk if I just wasn't searching well enough or what but when I went looking a while back, there were MAYBE 2 videos at all, let alone Eng subtitled so I could understand them. He will realize that he's falling for her when he starts perceiving that he doesn't see her only as a coworker.

So, at first he will deny his feelings, but later his feelings will be so stronger(he will feel the connection they have) that he will just let go and love her so much, I'll try to express it better(If I can think of a way to express this better, I will edit this post later, anyway), they both will realize that them two are falling in love with each other when they notice that they don't see each other just as a coworker or friends.

love the canonical implication that Earthspark Bumblebee's current alt-mode is possibly just a mid life crisis sports car phase

I mean I'm in my 30s, I'm not shitting on him, it's relatable primarily because most of my friends are at least slightly younger than I am

the "Bee hanging out with the Terrans" vibe is very real

but I also like that we're seeing a slightly older version of Bee here. usually he's the youngest of the Autobots (in most TF shows, anyway), but here he's roughly equivalent to middle aged

The Terrans are the youngest, so we get to see a more mature Bee stepping up into a carer/educator role

Bee has never really been one of my favourite TF characters (which I mostly attribute to burn out caused by all the marketing which solely fixates on him lmao), but I like him in Earthspark for the most part!

He's still a little on the "still learning" side of things coming into his current role, but that's what allows for further character development, and we've already seen him build some good skills for dealing with/training the kiddo bots

IDK it's nice.

would be interesting if there's ever an episode where Alex and Dot are unavailable for a not-necessarily-bad reason (maybe one of them is accepting a professional award or something so both of them go together as a Nice Thing)

and suddenly Bumblebee is Parent of Many Sparklings (Plus Two Human Ones) for the weekend LMAO

how long until he gives in and calls someone for help? because that is a LOT of children

eventually he calls everyone but they're all busy, Arcee just laughs at him lol she's having Fun Battle Time with Elita-1 so neither of them can do it, finally Megatron shows up and instantly all the kids are like "yeah STORY TIME" and Bee gets a 10 min nap in until a perimeter alarm goes off or something (it was just a cow but now he is Stressed)

Optimus gradually shows up like ha ha! outdoors enrichment for the children is a great idea and Bee is just like "have you ever actually raised sparklings, you had troops but you don't have SPARKLINGS"

meanwhile in the background Hashtag is trying to explain the differences between various social media sites to Megatron, who is trying so hard to pretend like he cares, but is also busy trying to keep at least two of the others from putting their hands a little too deep in his transformation seams so they can climb on him (they just want to be Large)

idk I think a Single Parent Bee episode feat. Grandpa Megatron towards the end at one point would be fun, arguably they did this kind of vibe in the first half of S1 a bit already

but it would be interesting to see how Bumblebee would manage without any other adults for support for like a weekend in its entirety (save for maybe Megs at the end taking pity on him lmao)

there aren't many bots in what seems to be Bumblebee's general age range, except maybe Arcee but she gives the vibe of being a little older than he is, so real talk he'd probably feel a little more isolated and overtaxed than usual :(

but the kiddos would likely pick up on this and they could plot with Megs to try to do something nice for him!!! it would go poorly but that's OK!!!!

9-1-1 Possible Symbolisms: (But could just very well be some major speculation!?!)

I wanted to get this out there before the new episode aired. I'm sure many of us have seen those new clips for tonight's episode and if not be advised - CONTAINS SPOILERS!!

During the emergency at the seminar where that man loses control of his limbs, Bobby tells Buck and Eddie to go up and help keep the man under control. The man pretty much chokes Buck and Bobby goes up to help but then I'm pretty sure the man grabs Eddie's groin or something?! It makes me wonder if this will be somehow symbolizing what's going on with both of them or in their lives?!

Maybe when it comes to Eddie, it has to do with him overcompensating in his relationship with Marisol or thinking with his d*** instead of with his head or heart?! Or even better, I've heard some people say what if he can't seem to stay aroused or whatever\performance anxiety or something?! I doubt it's that one, but it's a good one. Idk but I do think it has to do with his intimacy issues with Marisol possibly?!

Whereas Buck is being choked, too choked to speak - maybe that possibly relates to him having feelings for Eddie and knowing he does but he can't voice those feelings to Eddie, but it could also be him finding it hard to come out to Eddie. Which could end up leading to some misunderstandings!?!

I swear I was trying to go somewhere with this and point out how in some ways it could symbolize what's going on in Buck and Eddie's life but also with each other and Buddie in general but all I did was make a mess I think?! Lol. Oh well though, that's what I love about Tumblr. You can post things and ramble sometimes and not everyone will think you're extremely delusional or something. Just wanted to get some thoughts out there about the newer clips. It's most likely nothing and I'm probably grasping at straws, but one can think and theorize can't they?! Whatever happens though tonight, I feel like it'll be a fun episode, maybe even a bit awkward in a cute/cringy kind of way, but also pretty good. I'm so excited for it!!!

The soap vocal dysphoria thing really piqued my interest (totally can't relate) so I'm going to randomly tap my keyboard and hope these questions come out in a semi understandable form

What sort of dysphoria does he have relating to his voice? Is it all the time or is it just when he notices? Or does he compare his voice to others (eg: "Gaz has a nice voice, why don't I sound like him?" Or "Price and Ghost have such deep voices why does mine sound squeaky?" Or "my Da is scottish but noone asks him to repeat what he said")

Do the others find out about it or does he suffer in silence? Does he fight them on helping? Do they shower him in compliments and cause his face to go red because he's not used to getting compliements (maybe leading for more angst if he ends up liking his voice but then fixates on the things about him they don't compliment?) Does he end up not answering comms on a mission due to a flare up? Causing one of his teammates to get captured and making him hate his voice more? (Or it might lead to him being captured )

Idk if you've seen this snippet that I posted but anyway!! So this is gonna be soapghost (bc they're apparently the only ship I can write lol)

Ok so- what kind? It's less of one specific thing like "I wish My voice was deeper" and more of a general distaste for his own voice (and the amount that he speaks (eg. "Gaz has a nice voice, I should let him speak more." Or "shut-up, Mactavish, let Price and/or Ghost speak for once." Or "I talk so much. I bet everyone is tired of hearing me by now."))

I think yes the others do end up realizing, but definitely not for awhile. I think after the do realize he would deny that he was acting and different until he's blue in the face. But he will 100% go tomato red at any compliment, and try to redirect the conversation. I think he definitely would overthink it a bunch too (like you said), but I also think that Gaz, Price and Ghost would know him well enough to see him get in his own head about it and say something along the lines of "hey, I can see you thinking too hard about it, stop it. I like when you talk, okay?" And I don't wanna say he'd immediately believe them, but it would put a halt to the spiraling thoughts.

On missions I don't think he'd go as far as not responding on comms (mostly because I think he knows that would possibly put his team members/other people in danger), but he wouldn't banter as much, and keep all responses short and curt.

If, on a mission, he got captured for a different reason (that wasn't him not responding on comms) he would definitely use his voice to annoy his captors (eg. Talking nonstop, singing, humming, joking, ect.). Of course when he does get rescued he's talked himself hoarse, much to his relief because he doesn't think he'd be able to shut himself up after being so loose lipped about anything and everything (that isn't confidential), and he wouldn't want to annoy his team so soon after they rescued him.

I think ghost would help him slowly learn to love his voice again. Now ghost isn't usually the kne that talks a lot, but for soap he would. For soap he'd sing their favorite song from the rooftops if it made soap sing with him. I think he'd lay his head on soap's chest, and ask him questions just to get him to speak. I think he could fall asleep like that and mindlessly murmur "i love your voice", and I think It'd be such a tiny comment, so mindless, but it would do wonders for soap.

I'm sorry girlies but I just DO NOT get Darlington's appeal. He's a fine character, maybe it's just the lesbian in me, but him and Alex seem SO FORCED. Plus it's a "slow burn" but we know what the fuck you're gonna do Bardugo!! Idk it's just so forced, ntm they've barely spent anytime together because Dumbass Darlington walked into monster month (and his last thoughts were blaming Alex for it, lmfaoo). And the interaction they do have together is dull, sorry! Alex is such a cool character and she has more chemistry with literally EVERYONE ELSE in the cast.

I mean just look at the descent in Hell Bent where we get a backstory of all the characters. Pamela Dawes isn't loud and out-of-this-world like most Bardugo characters. She feels so realistic, but is still so interesting. We see how she has crippling anxiety from developing too fast, how she hides behind her academia, how she's torn up about killing Blake. She's so understated but so real and relatable for it.

We see how Turner struggles with being a cop and trying to be a bastard, how he literally killed his mentee for what he believes in, how he tries to be a fighter for good and his people in a world that rewards him for doing the opposite. Even his spirituality is handled respectfully and he's just a really well done character.

Then we have Tripp, we've all met a Tripp, all the privilege in the world but you can't even hate him for it cause he's been too sheltered to ever develop a mean bone in his body. Except we see how he dealt with abuse from his cousin all his life. We see how Spenser just gets away with it, and I empathized with Tripp when he let Spenser die. (Which btw he's not technically a murderer for that but WHATEVER LEIGH) After the descent I did a full 180 on his character!

And Mercy is so fun. She's not familiar with the world of magic and looks at it with hopeful-Harry-Potter-fan eyes, she's like a conduit for the reader in a way the jaded Alex can't be. But also if you think about her backstory is VERY dark. She was violated in the most horrible way by this magic before she even knew it existed. And now she wants to harness that same magic so she's never put in that position again. She kills a man because Alex tells her to, because she thinks this is some sort of Hogwarts adventure. And then at the end of the book you see grasp what Lethe is, and her tension with Alex is *chef's kiss* so good!

Ughh and thenn we have Darlington...what's Darlington's big murderer moment? The thing that made him eligible for a scholarship at Demon University? He *checks notes* pulled the life support on his dying geriatric grandpa at the man's own request....okayy. Surely there's something else? Well you see Darlington's always wanted to believe in magic! Just like all of us! It's like he's trying to hard to represent us fantasy readers, but by the second book Mercy already accomplishes this and does it better. And I guess you can say he had neglectful parents but it's just handled so unrealistically I couldn't believe it. 1. Once the grandpa was dead and Darlington was a minor his parents could have easily torn down that shitty house. 2. Darlington would legally belong to them, they wouldn't have to turn off the electricity to freeze him out of the house, they could call CPS who would bust down the doors and give him to his parents. 3. His whole backstory relies on a crusty house?? Really?? 4. I'm tired of the poor little rich boy trope. I'd rather have characters like Tripp, yes they've had their own struggles but wealth has shielded them, instead of unrealistic characters like Darlington. It's even worse because Leigh tries to frame Alex's and Darlington's childhood as "two sides of the same coin' when it's not that at all!

And you'd think Demon Danny would have a little spice but, no? I guess he enjoyed punishing people and making them suffer (told, not show) and he has urges to do it again? But more importantly we need to know that he REALLY REALLY wants to fuck Alex. Also he will serve Alex TiL tHe EnD oF dAyS! He's also her personal slave now and she can make him do whatever. Demon Danny is starting to feel like a fetish, okay? IT'S. SO. FORCED. They barely had any chemistry before the dumbass walked straight into Hell, but I see why Alex's destructive nature would put her on a suicide mission for his rescue. But now he's dreaming about her in his perfect future? They're cosmically connected to each other? It's so funny because they are both way closer to Pamela Dawes but just fuck her I guess.

Anyway I think Darlington lacks substance and he's not good enough for Alex BUT i'm hoping I'll like him more in book 3. Can any Darlington fans give me your interpretation of the character and why you like him? I really don't like feeling this way since he's such a big part of the story and sometimes a different analysis is all you need. As of right now he's the embodiment "Go girl! Give us nothing!" for me.

"it's been ok." You breathed out. "Not much was happening." Joseph hummed. "Yeah? What were you looking up?"

"just some work stuff. Nothing much." You laughed a little at the end and soon regretted it because of how forced it sounded. Just frowned at you. "You ok?"

Joseph ran his finger over your jaw as he looked at you. He had a small smile on his face. "What?"

"you're cute when you're jealous." You groaned and tried to move from his lap, but Joseph stopped you. "No! I like seeing you jealous." Joseph kissed you adding a bit of tongue before pulling away. "It's a turn on."

i love jesper sososososo much. with all my heart. he means everything to me.

BUT HOLY SHIT I WILL NEVER FORGIVE HIM FOR THE WAY HE TREATED KUWEI.

kaz was pretty awful too but like that's just kaz so I'm not as upset by it. jesper was just mean.

Even when he's saying something not inherently mean to him. like his tone is so belittling it makes me wanna GAASFAHSHDAS

and like, i can forgive the teasing i guess, because that's kinda how jesper talks to everyone, including wylan. (it's a little different since kuwei is literally their hostage and they shut him in a tomb for weeks and then tried to sell him so kuwei probably wants nothing to do with them at that point, but he does end up having kinda a crush on jesper so maybe he didn't mind idk).

BUT OH MY GOD. when jesper said "those shu soldiers can smell us. YOUR father made that possible" I WANTED TO PUNCH HIM. kuwei watched his father die in front of him. parem was an experiment meant to help kuwei hide his powers. and then kuwei got dragged off and kept in the ice court for god fucking knows how long and was forced to make the formula for a drug that would massacre his own people. Jesper knows all of this and still decides to say that. As i said I love jesper but that moment makes me so mad at him.

then later in another jesper chapter, he internally says "The sooner Kuwei got on that boat, the better. The tomb was starting to feel crowded." KUWEI DOESNT WANNA FUCKING BE THERE?? literally leave him alone wtf did he do to you.

then in the entire black veil scene, jesper responds to almost everything kuwei says with some little dig at the fact that kuwei's dad made parem and everything is kuwei's fault to the point where kuwei is basically begging jesper for understanding and jesper dismisses him like annoyingly easily. I felt for kuwei so hard reading that scene. I wish we got at least one chapter from his POV just to know how he's feeling.

mostly i think jesper is just projecting his internalized grisha-phobia onto kuwei which i get is part of his character growth and stuff but it's just so unfair to kuwei. all kuwei is trying to do is relate to him and find some common ground on some level but jesper just acts like such a jerk. and when he kisses him and then just runs of and leaves him there... that was,,, like im not gonna act like jesper was 100% in the wrong for that situation because he wasn't but he definitely could have handled that situation better.

He also is probably doing it to impress kaz too because there's a lot of moments where the 2 of them gang up on kuwei like middle school playground bullies. Those parts probably infuriated me the most, because like... you kidnapped him. obviously he's still in a better situation than the ice court but i would at least expect jesper to have some sympathy.

but one thing that really gets me is how the fandom acts like wylan and kuwei are enemies and like, wylan despises kuwei. that's just so out of character for everyone involved. wylan and kuwei are the closest to being actual friends than kuwei + anyone else. jesper is the one who hates kuwei. I hate when people project their kuwei hate onto the crows but at least do it to the one who's actually shown being mean to him. when wylan said that "push you in the canal" thing he was running on broken ribs, a dead friend and like a half hour of sleep so he would have said that to literally anyone.

this was a really messy and unstructured tangent but i just really needed to get this out there. lmk your thoughts
