Wow I saw one (1) stray stargate post on my dash and my anger is flared again about Michael I can't TELL you how angry I get about literally every thing about his story.

Bby boy was THE sweetest most precious INNOCENT bean, and the sheer number of ways that Atlantis did him dirty is unbelievable. astronomical. ridiculous.

If there's ever a storyline that makes me truly dislike our favorite team it's Michael's. If they had just been honest! If they had just not treated him like a monster, effectively making him feel like thats all he could ever be to them! They changed half the cells in his body, wiping his memory and leaving him this puppy dog that just wants friends!! And connection! And a sense of home!! Even after he learned the truth, time and time again he was still just looking for home and community and acceptance (and honesty!!),, and our beloved team treated him, this new innocent creature, like the scum under their boots.

iF i HaD bEeN tHeRe we would've ran away, me and Michael. We'd figure it out. Work out the cure for his hunger without wiping his memory again,, he's smart, the lil fledgling (mad) scientist,, I'd take some cure with us and we'd flee to some planet and I would be his family and his friend and I would give him the love and honesty and compassion he deserved.

Thoughts for a fic I'm debating writing:

(It is a LuciferTV fic and also self-insert since I'm best at those. No romantic relationships between self insert and anyone else tho- canon relationships are debatable and I think I might just make it found family-)

Michael is not an arsehole here

He's actually pretty cool but Shit Has Happened and him and Lucifer are ehh on the relationship scale in the present

Angel Twins my Beloved

Self-insert's name is Doloriel I based it off of how others' are set up and it means Pain of God, meaning they were doomed from the start

Yes they're an angel

Archangel but also not

Like- they were created in the image of an Archangel but they are Decidedly Not An Archangel

Essentially what happened was Michael and Lucifer were messing around as kids(I'm making it so they age similarly to how they do in this one fic- I'll link it at the bottom-) so they're about 13 in human years and Michael casually plops down on God's throne and was thinking about how much he adored his younger siblings and then poof Doloriel exists. Not quite an Archangel but not quite not one either

God's obviously like 'wtf Michael' and then names the child(baby is more accurate) Doloriel because from the day they spawned they were a pain in his ass.

That's what Doloriel thinks of it anyways

Anywho-

Lucifer 'causes the Rebellion at 16-17 'cause Free Will and also maybe God's been treating Doloriel like shit(this will not be God-friendly)

He gets tortured for his troubles and God forces Michael to break his wings and drop him off the edge because I live for angst

God also decides Doloriel is too much trouble for what they're worth so they get booted by Amenadiel doing God's Will at the ripe old age of 3(ish).

So, Lucifer and Doloriel are in Hell and Michael's being held back after he just watched his twin and sorta kid get tossed into Hell and he's not coping well.

Doloriel is raised mostly in Hell, aging slower than they should on the basis of Hell being confusing.

Also Doloriel using they/them pronouns but are chill with neo pronouns too

Anyways- tangents aside

Doloriel has one Hell(pun intended) of a grudge against their abuelo and keeps their name with Pride, as they revel in being God's Pain.

However, as angst is necessary, they are also constantly in pain(they were tossed into Hell at 3, there's gonna be some disabilities-) and loath what their 'dear sweet and benevolent abuelo' named them, the role he shoved them into.

They are Pain and Suffering and Punishment. They are Vengeance and Loathing. They are Torment. They are Doloriel, the Pain of God. And it hurts them, because they never wanted to be that. They just wanted to be a kid. They were just a kid. They are just a kid.

Was it after Death rescued Sam and left Adam behind to take the brunt of punishment from these two feuding primordial beings? Was it unconscious at first? Was Michael distracted from his everlasting battle with his brother by the small, broken cries of the human soul housed within his true trueform? Did Michael first realize Adam's influence only by becoming aware of how cold and cruel Lucifer was without his own vessel's soul left behind to nag him? Did it start as merely a desperate ploy to keep Adam silent and satiated? Did Michael send Adam away to distant memories to keep him calm, unintentionally protecting him from further harm in the process? Only after Lucifer rose again did Adam's silence become, in turn, its own form of distraction. Then did Michael retreat into Adam's mind in an effort to stave off that strange, unfamiliar chasm - a feeling he never could have recognized as human loneliness until he was met by the same resonance from the seemingly insignificant, battered little soul he'd banished to imagined lands: a solitary heaven inside Adam's head. Is that when Michael realized the emptiness of his own existence, the unique, suffocating pain of a cage within a cage? Only then did he see Adam's soul as something precious, something lovely and warm and gentle: something worth protecting.
